- 0:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, thank you so much.
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: Thanks for your messages.
- 0:10SPEAKER_03: Thank you for listening.
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: Really, really grateful for the good company that you are on this wavelength.
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Really happy that you're here.
- 0:19SPEAKER_03: And today's episode is sponsored by Apricity.
- 0:25SPEAKER_03: Apricity, the warmth of the winter sun, the warmth of the sun in wintertime.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: Well,
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: I have to be honest,
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: I did think it was going to be a bit warmer today because the sun was so strong
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: coming through my flat and I just thought I couldn't wait to get out there.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: And it was a sharp bite.
- 0:46SPEAKER_03: But the sky was blue.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: It was so blue, my people.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: So I'm really appreciating that my eyes have seen that blue lightness today.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: And she's being very quiet, isn't she?
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: No fidgeting or anything like that.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: But there is actually somebody with me on the sofa.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: I'm not here by myself.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: It's not just me and you guys.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: I've got the lovely Eloise here, Eloise Pilkington.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: She's a singer-songwriter and she writes and sings with dedication and devotion to the goddess.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: She is a priestess and ceremonialist and I'm very grateful to have her here.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, welcome, Eloise.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: Thank you for coming here.
- 1:31SPEAKER_03: Thank you, Sarah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: It's lovely.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: It's an honour to be here.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: Well, everyone who's listening, they're really nice.
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: they're all really nice yeah so that's really good to know you can just relax
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: that's reassuring yeah they're just ready to receive you in all your beauty and
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: wonder yeah oh thank you yeah thank you everyone that's a lovely warming start yeah
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: so because we've got eloise here i'm gonna ask her to um to open the space with
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: sound for us and then um
- 2:08SPEAKER_03: to set the scene and to help us connect.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: So if you could interpret that in any way that you fancy.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: Eloise, I'll relax.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: I'll sit back.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Well, I think I'm going to take my chime, which I love.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: I love the sweet sound of the chime.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: It always helps me to relax.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: It has such a magical tone and sound.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: It reminds me of childhood.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: Innocence and purity.
- 3:11Oh, oh, oh, oh.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh, oh, oh.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: So I'm going to invite you all to take a deep breath in and to bring your attention
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: to your heart space and placing your hand on your heart.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: just giving thanks and thanks to your heart for the love that you give and receive
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: and visualising in your heart centre a beautiful bright sun and feeling the rays of
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: that sun
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: Expand.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: And feeling a lovely warm glow.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: And feeling all of us.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: All of you out there who are listening.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: Feeling us all connecting.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: in the timeless space of the heart.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: And welcoming in all the beautiful beings that walk with us, our guides and helpers in spirit.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: and calling to magic and inspiration, joy, playfulness, laughter, mysticism, mystery.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: And the innocence of the heart and
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: opening to creativity and inspiration.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: May our conversation flow in beautiful, inspiring, playful, magical ways.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: And I'm welcoming in the goddess of the season, the Dark Mother.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Here in Avalon,
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: we call upon Keridwen,
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: keeper of the cauldron of transformation,
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: to be with us as we descend into the depths of winter,
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: time of letting go,
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: of journeying inward,
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: of dreaming.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 8:33SPEAKER_03: Oh thank you.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: I had an image then,
- 8:40SPEAKER_03: which was the other night I was in bed and an aspect of myself,
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: I suddenly saw she was about seven and she'd walked off,
- 8:51SPEAKER_03: like at some point at about seven,
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: she'd been humiliated and she just walked off and it felt like she'd gone off forever.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: And she came back, I could see her sort of walking back into me
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: And I didn't know how to reach her, you know, psychically put my arms around her or anything like that.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: I just kind of witnessed her sort of presence.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: And then when you sang,
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: I could feel that sound could come into kind of psychic places for healing or sort
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: of dreaming and liminal places for healing.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was effective.
- 9:32SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Mm hmm.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah,
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: is that how you...
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: What's your understanding of what you're doing,
- 9:40SPEAKER_03: the landscape that you're creating when you're singing or making sound?
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: Well, for me, with the sound, my experience of it is that all sorts of things start to open up.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: For me, making sound...
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: In my inner world, I experience doorways opening.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: And I actually, I experience other dimensions of reality starting to open.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: And that, perhaps, you know, your description of connecting with your inner child.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: I meet other aspects of myself.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: Also, I experience beings from other dimensions.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: I can only call them other dimensions.
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: They're not beings that we can see in this dimension of reality or that we can
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: touch and experience with our senses in the way that we would another person or...
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: but yet so tangible on an energetic level,
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: that I can feel in the heart,
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: I can feel the presence,
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: the presence.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: And for me,
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: the sound,
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: when I make sound,
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: it's a very deep process for me because there's a,
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: actually what happens first is not the sound,
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: what happens first is that I listen.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: like I listen really really really deeply so like I might start with a chime like I
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: find those chimes something about those chimes that is very magical um yeah my mum
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: asked me when my son was a child if she could get him a present and I asked her to
- 11:36SPEAKER_03: get him get him one of those chimes which I mostly used for storytelling so sorry
- 11:43SPEAKER_03: mum he did like it though he did really like it but it's been great for
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: storytelling
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, do you feel it sort of almost, it sort of sets the scene.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: It's cast a spell in a beautiful way, like a magical... It immediately takes people into another place.
- 12:00SPEAKER_03: It's just quiet enough that there's a sort of attuned kind of listening that occurs.
- 12:07SPEAKER_03: And then when the whole room is listening in that really sensitive,
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: curious way,
- 12:13SPEAKER_03: it just feels like anything's possible.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: I think that's...
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: that's really interesting the way you've said that because i i for me i think you
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: know i don't have a big voice i've never had a belton belting voice i've got and i
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: can project but you know i i feel that my one of my gifts has been actually that um
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: quiet soft singing you know um
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: But that's only effective if you can... I mean, people have to be listening.
- 12:45SPEAKER_02: The art is how you draw them in.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: How do you draw people in to listen if you're saying something quietly?
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: And the chime somehow does that, doesn't it?
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: It has some kind of magical... There's something magical about that sound that...
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: oh people stop what they're doing and they want they want to listen um yeah it's
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: memory and it's promise and it's very benign it's magical but it's so benign isn't
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: it yeah it's benignness it's got some kind of innocent for me that and that's
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: interesting that your child came in because there's something about that sound that
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: is
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: pure innocent there's some kind of innocence like it definitely touches my heart
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: you know and that innocent childlike wonder place of wonder um yeah and maybe from
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: that place of um from the heart and
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: That's where I feel my attunement.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: Attunement is the right word,
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: actually,
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: because it is a sense of,
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: in the same way that a radio will start to tune to different wavelengths,
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: I find with my work,
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: because I do work very much with healing with sound,
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: and the way that that happens to me is firstly listening inside and feeling a...
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: It's a simultaneous process,
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: actually.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: If I listen inside and it's like...
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: I can feel like something happens like a connection will happen and then then I'll
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: feel inspired to make a sound and then and then as I as I sound I can feel that
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: actually doorways start to open for me into other worlds and then I feel shifts
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: sort of in vibration like vibrational shifts and then I feel something connects and
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: something opens up and um and all the while you're making sound all the while i'll
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: be making sound but it's often so gentle you know very gentle but while i'm
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: sounding i'm also really really deeply listening it's like i'm i'm listening i'm
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: listening i'm making a sound but i'm also listening it's like oh that just that
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: little tweak there needs to happen and it's like
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Then a key,
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: it's like I find with the sound,
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: I'll find a key and then that opens a doorway into something.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: So it's a journey.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: And that's my way of journeying through the other worlds, you know, I think.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: different shamans or healers or have all they have that we know we all find our own
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: ways yeah that's been my way that is my way yeah and are you um connecting with
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: something other and that connection is creating sound or are you channeling the
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: sound of some other being or entity through you or both or don't you know
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Well, I think it can be all of those things, actually.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: So sometimes it's me,
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: very much I feel it's me listening,
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: connecting,
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: opening up,
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: like a doorway will open.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: But then sometimes once that doorway is opened, then I'll feel an influx of energy, you know, like
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: a being, a being in spirit, I will feel that energy start to come in.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: And then that energy will inform the sound, will start to really inform the sound.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: So in that way, then it's like, I'm working together.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: I guess it's a form of mediumship in a way.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: And that works for me with sound.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: So then I'm working together.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: So I'll connect with
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: with a particular stream of of energy or a vibration that i can feel and then i
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: start to feel that comes into me and starts to inform the sound and and definitely
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: in those moments sounds happen that just would not happen if i wasn't in that space
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: of connection it just it just wouldn't happen and often things happen that i could
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: never recreate or even repeat um
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: And I love that.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: I love that feeling of,
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: I love the feeling of connection and I find it,
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: it's amazing to feel that there is so much connection available to us,
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: not just in the 3D world that we're normally living in.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: And I experienced that connection to be so profoundly loving
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: That's what I was just going to ask you.
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: When I'm in a state where I feel very open hearted,
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: not as often as i'd like to feel i feel open-hearted and i feel in that gentle
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: listening state i feel very vulnerable and i'm not sure how to be in the world with
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: that level of vulnerability have you got any what yeah how does it work for you i
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: just feel like life can brutalize me very easily but i might be wrong
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: What I find is that just in that moment that happened then,
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: when the sound was happening,
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: sometimes when we are so open and vulnerable,
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: actually it touches other people in a way that allows them to also be in that space.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: And then when something softens and opens and some of those hard edges or the barriers that we...
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: have seem to fall away and then a connection can just happen from the heart or
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: maybe we see each other in a more simple,
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: pure,
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: maybe we see,
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: we feel the soul or the essence and then the other things that come in all the time
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: in our world,
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: we're always,
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: we make judgments,
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: we're constantly doing that.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: understandably so that we can navigate the world that we live in um but in those
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: moments i i notice increasingly that those things fall away and then a connection
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: can happen heart to heart soul to soul but i i really understand it's it's not a
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: space that i feel comfortable being in you know if i'm out you know out in
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: you know doing my shopping or no that then i i think the thing is is that yeah how
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: do we we keep that our tender hearts protected that's a journey for me as well yeah
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: because it would be great to be out shopping and still be in that
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: place of openness and trust and i could probably do it in morrison's but not
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: tesco's i'm just thinking i feel a bit safer i feel a bit like they're on my side i
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: don't feel like that in the in the other supermarkets
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: i think when we are in that space often we really touch people but what's i think
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: the thing about being in that space is that if something more aggressive comes in
- 20:59SPEAKER_02: it penetrates doesn't it in a way that can be very um disturbing yeah that's how i
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: feel deeply penetrable yeah in that state so i and i i do too so i think probably
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: we have to be wise don't we about
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: where we allow ourselves to be that vulnerable.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: And perhaps we create spaces where we can do that and then we have to be just
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: discerning and wise about how it is to be out in the world.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah,
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: I found it on the pod because I was going through something a few weeks ago and I
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: shared it on the pod and then I felt really exposed and people were coming up to me
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: and saying,
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: oh,
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: I love your podcast.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: And immediately I was just turning to water and just thinking, oh.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: Not knowing how to receive or feeling just exposed, I think.
- 21:58SPEAKER_03: I was just feeling very exposed in a vulnerability that I wouldn't necessarily
- 22:04SPEAKER_03: share if I was out shopping.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: And something else has kind of shifted in me.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Maybe I've got used to being seen in that way or that part's integrated, I don't know.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: But it doesn't feel so exposing now.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, no answers, just observations.
- 22:26SPEAKER_03: That's my observation, yeah.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: Well, maybe having exposed that part of yourself and that part of yourself was received...
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: and affirmed,
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: then perhaps there's something in that that makes it feel...
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: Because sometimes I think those parts of ourselves have gone into hiding because
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: they haven't been received or affirmed.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: We've been in our vulnerability and haven't felt received or understood or we've
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: been humiliated or pushed back.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: So then maybe exposing those places and then feeling...
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, there is a warmth of reception here.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: I'm wanted.
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: Maybe there's a deep healing in that.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:13SPEAKER_03: And that's why I feel about the sound,
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: when a place came back for me recently and I just didn't know what to do with it.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: and it's simple it's all very simple really isn't it this stuff of life this stuff
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: of of um leading full lives it's just like oh i could have just made some sound
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: with it some soothing natural sound yeah thank you will you make some more sound
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: for us sure
- 23:50SPEAKER_03: I'm just making,
- 23:51SPEAKER_03: just before you do,
- 23:52SPEAKER_03: I'm just trying to make some conditioner for my hair because I'm sick of buying it.
- 23:58SPEAKER_03: And here I'm trying to,
- 24:02SPEAKER_03: I've got some oil and some cocoa butter in a jar and I haven't got any emulsifier
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: because it doesn't sound very natural.
- 24:08SPEAKER_03: So I'm just shaking it before Eloise starts to try and get it to combine.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: It looks like lemon curd.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it does, doesn't it?
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: Or ghee.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: Or ghee.
- 24:21SPEAKER_03: It's quite like ghee.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, ghee would probably... Might be better.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: Ghee might work.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: So, yeah.
- 24:29SPEAKER_03: And I've just got another little jar.
- 24:32There you go.
- 24:33Okay.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: Off you go.
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: I might make some sand with this one.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: I think I'm going to just...
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: I think I'm not going to sing songs today.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: I think I might, well, maybe I'll sing a song later, but I'm going to more just totally try some sound.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: We're going to, let's see. .
- 25:17Oh, oh, oh
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh, oh, oh
- 26:18Oh, oh, oh
- 26:47Ooh.
- 26:48Ooh.
- 26:48Ooh.
- 26:49Ooh.
- 26:49Ooh.
- 26:50Ooh.
- 26:51Ooh.
- 26:53Ooh.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: You, you, yeah, you, you You, you, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I
- 27:46Any day, yet I don't leave you.
- 27:57Ah, ah, ah.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Ah, ah, ah.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: Ah, ah, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
- 28:47Awww.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: At one point I was out in the sea and I was in Greece.
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: I was in Greece a couple of weeks ago and I remembered that you were in Crete at
- 29:38SPEAKER_03: the same time and I was standing in the sea just visualising you over there
- 29:49SPEAKER_03: And I'd love to know a little bit more about what you were doing over there.
- 29:55SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: Well.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: I was invited to a gathering called Priestess Convocation.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: Con.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Convocation.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: Convocation.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: What does that mean?
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: Convocation.
- 30:19SPEAKER_02: So I guess it means con would be with voice, voices, voices together.
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: Convocation.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Convocation.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: Vocal, convocation.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: Yes, except that I guess that must be to do with like, you know, voices coming together.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: It must be what that word really means.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: The convocation, so it was like the priestess,
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: It was a gathering of priestesses,
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: so it's Anique Radiant Heart,
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: who's an Australian priestess from Australia,
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: had the vision to call all the priestesses.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: What's a priestess?
- 30:59SPEAKER_02: A priestess.
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: I mean, I sort of know, but I don't really know.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Well, a priestess...
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: For me, I'm a priestess of the goddess.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: So I guess you could be a priestess of many different things.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Does it mean like dedicated to someone who's dedicated to something?
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: Someone who is in service to... It would be the divine.
- 31:31Yes.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: So you're in service to the divine,
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: and in the same way that a priest is in service to the divine,
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: a priestess is in service to the divine.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: for me,
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: I'm a priestess of goddess,
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: so I'm in service to the divine feminine,
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: the expression of the divine,
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: the feminine expression of the divine.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: That's been my calling is to...
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: To create space where people can,
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: through ceremony,
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: through singing,
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: as I do,
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: where people can experience the loving,
- 32:14SPEAKER_02: loving,
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: deeply loving and transformative,
- 32:18SPEAKER_02: through love,
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: energies of the goddess.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: And as a priestess,
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: I do that through working in ceremony,
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: creating in a really simply,
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: in the most simple way,
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: creating a sacred space where people can experience the loving presence of the
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: goddess and can be touched by that.
- 32:48SPEAKER_03: So this was a gathering.
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: Touched by her, really.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, her.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I felt that.
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: People, priestesses from all over the world.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: So this was a calling.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: The calling went out for priestesses,
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: priestesses anywhere in the world who felt the calling to come to Crete,
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: particularly Crete.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: as Crete has, you know, a rich history of, of temple, temple palaces, like Knossos and Malia.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: Um, I mean, I'm not actually an expert myself in, you know, the historical sites of Crete.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: I know, I know a bit.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: But there's lots of temples dedicated to the goddess there.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: Ancient temples.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: Ancient temples, um, where Ariadne was worshipped.
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: Um,
- 33:39SPEAKER_03: Okay,
- 33:40SPEAKER_03: so this is why I just need to flag up,
- 33:42SPEAKER_03: just for anyone that was listening last week,
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: that when I told the story of Ariadne and the Minotaur,
- 33:49SPEAKER_03: I thought that Ariadne and Ariacne were the same goddess,
- 33:54SPEAKER_03: because there was only one letter difference in their name,
- 33:57SPEAKER_03: and I just thought that's how the Greeks roll.
- 33:59SPEAKER_03: But it isn't, they're two different goddesses, so thank you.
- 34:03SPEAKER_03: I can't remember if it was, someone emailed me to inform me, and I'm very, very grateful.
- 34:09SPEAKER_03: um for my educative experience there and I'm sorry to lead you up any narrative
- 34:16SPEAKER_03: wrong paths okay public service announcement over the temple and you were telling
- 34:24SPEAKER_03: me because I've met Louise last week that you invoked Ariadne was that how you were
- 34:32SPEAKER_03: the word that you used yes so
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: So this, so the convocation was a calling, you know, of priestesses to Crete.
- 34:40SPEAKER_02: Anybody that felt that,
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: felt,
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: and I must say that as a priestess,
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: we often,
- 34:47SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 34:47SPEAKER_02: we'll get intuitions or instincts about strong intuitions.
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: So for me,
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: Goddess will speak through intuition, through often synchronicities.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: You know, often it's that information or, yeah, she speaks in non-linear ways.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: So through feelings, through...
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: You know, we notice synchronicities, natural things.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: Patterns, synchronicities, like things happening.
- 35:15SPEAKER_02: Things happening, yeah, noticing patterns.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: Strong feelings or somebody might mention something and,
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: you get that,
- 35:25SPEAKER_02: ooh,
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: you get that sudden sense of that to me is meaningful.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: And,
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: so for me,
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: when I'm allowing myself to be guided by Goddess,
- 35:38SPEAKER_02: I will notice those synchronicities.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: those synchronicities will start to speak loudly and I follow that you know I'll
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: follow that pathway I get a sense I get a feeling and often it might not make sense
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: you know often the way spirit goddess speaks doesn't always make sense to the mind
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: so it's an art of cultivating trust in intuition and trust in sort of
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Life speaking to you in non-linear ways that might not make sense to the mind,
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: but somehow speak to a deeper place of instinctual understanding.
- 36:12SPEAKER_03: And was that the feeling when you found out about this gathering?
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: Did it make no sense?
- 36:17SPEAKER_03: But did it feel right?
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: I got an email from a wonderful woman who you would love if you don't know her.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: You would love to meet her.
- 36:25SPEAKER_02: Alexandras Quichont.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: I don't think so.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: Sorry if I do, Alexandra, but let's meet soon.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: Cichon, C-I-C-H-O-N.
- 36:36SPEAKER_02: I always know her as Alexandra.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: She is an extraordinary woman.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: She's worked in theatre all her life.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: She's a director.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: She's a writer.
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: She's an incredible artist.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: And she's very, very, she's also a priestess.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: She's had a lifelong interest in ritual theatre as well.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: So she brings together, you know, her own deep spiritual understanding.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: And, you know, she sadly lost her beautiful son, who she worked also in collaboration with.
- 37:10SPEAKER_02: She lost him for the last couple of years, so it's been a deep journey for her.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: And she brings together her understanding of spirit goddess with her many,
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: many years experience as a director and a performer in the theatre.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: So she sent me an email saying,
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: inviting me to the convocation because she was going to be creating,
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: well,
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: she was going to be sort of overseeing and creating and visioning the opening
- 37:44SPEAKER_02: ceremony for this gathering,
- 37:45SPEAKER_02: which turned out to be about 100 priestesses,
- 37:47SPEAKER_02: the opening ceremony,
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: a labyrinth ceremony,
- 37:50SPEAKER_02: and then the closing ceremony.
- 37:52SPEAKER_02: So these were quite important ceremonies.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: She wrote me...
- 37:55SPEAKER_02: a beautiful email you know being incredibly complimentary to me about my work and
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: my singing and um inviting me to come and my initial feeling was one of oh gosh I'd
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: love to do that but you know my my daughter at the time was four and hadn't ever
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: been away for her from more than a two or two three nights and
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: This was a nine day trip.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: And I, you know, my head was saying, oh, that's lovely.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: I would love to do that.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: And in my life before motherhood,
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: I'd have jumped at that,
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: but my mind was saying,
- 38:32SPEAKER_02: you can't possibly do that.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: So I wrote back to saying, oh, I don't know.
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Anyway, she was so incredibly charming and persuasive that I could not resist it.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: It was irresistible.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: And she was speaking to my heart.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: So even though it felt, I didn't know how I was possibly going to do that, get away for 10 days.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Even though Saoirse's father is very present and very loving,
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: he's never been on his own with her for that period of time.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: And
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: Anyway, I put it to him and he said, go for it.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: Just do it.
- 39:13SPEAKER_02: So I took a leap of faith.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: And at that point, she was asking me to do most of the sound.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: She wanted me to be involved doing singing and sounding.
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: Anyway, things evolved.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: And I actually was...
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: asked to priestess at a retreat that um kathy jones who set up the goddess temple
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: okay kathy jones set up the so creatives of the goddess temple in glastonbury and
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: goddess house and many other wonderful things um
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: I was on a retreat priestessing with some priestesses.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: It had been the first time I'd actually done any priestessing for really in that
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: way since my daughter was born.
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: I've done concerts and sound healings, but not so much priestessing in that way.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: And all of a sudden we were talking and suddenly it got suggested that I shouldn't
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: be just doing the sound,
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: that they still needed an Ariadne for the ceremony group and somebody needed to
- 40:22SPEAKER_02: hold Ariadne and it occurred to them that I was the right person to do that.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: Do you mean to dress up as Ariadne?
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: No, so I don't mean to dress up as Ariadne.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: It's actually to, as the priestess, so if we are... Ariadne being a goddess.
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: Ariadne is a goddess, a Greek, you know, one of the old Greek, ancient Greek goddesses.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: And one of the things that this convocation was focusing on was reclaiming or
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: calling to the ancient beings or
- 40:59SPEAKER_02: of the Minoan times to return.
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: Aha.
- 41:05SPEAKER_03: Like,
- 41:07SPEAKER_03: just getting my head around this myself,
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: like no one's been worshipping or recognising them for a long time,
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: invoking them.
- 41:15SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: So it's kind of like arriving and sort of saying we're here and we want you,
- 41:23SPEAKER_03: we want to connect with you.
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: And we remember you.
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: I think this is the thing about for many priestesses is a recurring theme is that.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: There's a memory that a lot of women come onto the priestess path and this is the
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: first time in,
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: we're talking over a thousand years,
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: over a thousand years that women,
- 41:47SPEAKER_02: or 1500 years,
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: a long time that women have even been able to...
- 41:54SPEAKER_02: and this is in the UK,
- 41:55SPEAKER_02: I'm talking,
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: to actually come out and say that it's their calling to be a priestess in this life.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: men have always been able to be a priest in the church,
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: but for women who feel a spiritual orientation and
- 42:10SPEAKER_02: And for women who feel oriented towards the divine feminine,
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: who feel that actually spirit is speaking to them in the form of a feminine deity
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: and that they feel that they need to respond to that voice inside or that calling,
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: for the first time in over a thousand years,
- 42:35SPEAKER_02: people can respond to that.
- 42:37SPEAKER_03: Well it sounds so normal when you say it like that and yet the kind of goddess
- 42:41SPEAKER_03: culture has been seen as being so sort of wacky and left field and you know I
- 42:48SPEAKER_03: remember there being a picture of a kind of line of goddesses on the front page of
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: a tabloid newspaper with all kind of
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: priestesses jokes uh yeah priestesses sorry or you know yeah sneering and joking
- 43:05SPEAKER_03: and and you're here saying it's just about a woman feeling the call to be in
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: service to a female deity and not a male deity yes that's not been allowed or
- 43:21SPEAKER_03: accepted or there's been no room or space for it
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: No.
- 43:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's fascinating.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: And there hasn't just been no room or space for it.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: In fact,
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: there has been a history because,
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: women who were not just called to worship or dedicate themselves to,
- 43:43SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: a spiritual...
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: force or benign intelligence which they felt was benign and guiding them in a
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: benign way to help people to heal people you know to do to do good service in the
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: world you know for women who they might not have been dedicated to a goddess as
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: such
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: They might just have been dedicated to herbalism or to midwifery or,
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: well,
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: we know the history and what,
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: what happened and the burning times.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: And so it's a huge subject.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: And I think for women who want to,
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: I don't think we experience it so much,
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 44:32SPEAKER_02: going into herbalism or these things,
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: but certainly women who,
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: are taking that extra step of coming out and saying,
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: well,
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: and actually for me,
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: I experience the divine in a feminine way.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: The divine is appearing to me in a feminine form.
- 44:57SPEAKER_02: A lot of women experience a huge amount of terror around that.
- 45:05SPEAKER_02: Because I think,
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: the memories that we have in our souls,
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: and it's still there in the collective of being persecuted for standing up and
- 45:15SPEAKER_02: saying that I,
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: you know i have a spiritual calling um and that it isn't going to be as a nun for
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: example or i might feel connected through the earth or through plants or actually
- 45:30SPEAKER_02: the way that i feel most connected um is by being out in nature or all of these
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: things yeah it's all changing isn't it but it's definitely it's changing um
- 45:44SPEAKER_03: So you were asked to, did you say embody or invoke?
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: Yes, we're going through the labyrinth.
- 45:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah,
- 45:57SPEAKER_02: so as a priest,
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: going back to the way that,
- 46:03SPEAKER_02: well,
- 46:04SPEAKER_02: an aspect of my priestessing is to connect strongly with
- 46:10SPEAKER_02: a deity that i feel called to connect with and that might be that you know you make
- 46:16SPEAKER_02: prayers you make offerings you invite them to come and be part of your life and
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: whatever it is they wish they want to teach you or show you or help you with um
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: And then part of that might be that you ask that deity,
- 46:32SPEAKER_02: you invoke or call that deity to work with you to help others,
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: to serve others,
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: to bring their energies through,
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: to touch and help other people.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: So being asked to embody Ariadne, part of this convocation was dedicated to...
- 46:53SPEAKER_02: calling Ariadne back.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: Because obviously these gods and goddesses haven't been invoked or connected with for a long, long time.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: There's a temple there in Crete.
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: There's a big temple of Ariadne.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: Knossos.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: Ariadne was worshipped at Knossos.
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: And I'm sure there's so much that we don't know, you know.
- 47:19SPEAKER_02: But there was this feeling to,
- 47:22SPEAKER_02: to call her back.
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: And how we chose to do that was through creating ceremony,
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: creating sacred space,
- 47:35SPEAKER_02: creating ceremony and invoking,
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: calling,
- 47:37SPEAKER_02: calling her to return so that we could experience her.
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: Like making the space beautiful on all levels and creating space for her
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: to feel welcome absolutely about kind of like um you know welcoming a new a baby
- 48:00SPEAKER_03: into the world you know and making everything just so making sure it's warm enough
- 48:05SPEAKER_03: and beautiful enough and everything's needed and that they're really aware that
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: there's a sort of space for them in the um in the world
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: And creating a sense of a special occasion.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: why do,
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: sometimes people go,
- 48:19SPEAKER_02: oh,
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: why do priestesses,
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: why is all this dressing up?
- 48:24SPEAKER_02: You know, the thing is, is that you can make a deep connection.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: You don't have to dress up.
- 48:28SPEAKER_02: Of course you don't.
- 48:30SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, there is something about delineating that we are going to create something else.
- 48:38SPEAKER_02: we're going to create something different.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: We're going to make this special in some way.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: We're going to go out of space and time.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: And we're going to set that ceremonial space.
- 48:47SPEAKER_02: And part of doing that is that I'm going to put on this,
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: whatever it is that makes me feel that I'm stepping out of my everyday reality,
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: my jump,
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: my leggings,
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: I'm shopping in with the kids in.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: I'm just going to,
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: I'm going to delineate that this is me stepping into a different space and time,
- 49:06SPEAKER_02: a magical space and time.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: And I'm going to,
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: like incense if you want to,
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: or I'm going to put flowers down or I'm going to put water down.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: Whatever it is that makes that sacred for you.
- 49:18SPEAKER_02: And different traditions have different ways of doing that.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: So how was it when you, yeah, did she, how did she arrive for you?
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: Gosh, she arrived with so much strength and power that it was a huge stretch for me to hold that.
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: I felt... You know what I was talking to you earlier about experiencing different...
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: different energies, different vibrations, different energies that I can, I really feel it in my body.
- 50:08SPEAKER_02: And when we called in Ariadne, and I mean, you know, there were a hundred of us.
- 50:13SPEAKER_02: We were in the group of us that were,
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: in the ceremony group,
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: there were nine of us,
- 50:19SPEAKER_02: but there were a hundred priestesses all in the space making those prayers,
- 50:24SPEAKER_02: being part of that invocation.
- 50:26SPEAKER_02: um and um and the different priestesses there were different um priestesses in the
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: group also calling to different aspects of ariadne um i i was i was holding the
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: center of the wheel um
- 50:45SPEAKER_02: when she came i mean we all experienced it i how i experienced it was just a hugely
- 50:52SPEAKER_02: powerful forceful current of energy that came into my body um incredibly incredibly
- 50:59SPEAKER_02: powerful um and i felt that she had a lot that she wanted to share
- 51:13SPEAKER_02: That's how I experienced her.
- 51:15SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think that she probably has a lot to share with us.
- 51:23SPEAKER_02: I don't know what that is yet,
- 51:25SPEAKER_02: but I felt that she really...
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: It was a strong feeling of rebirth that came with her presence.
- 51:40SPEAKER_02: And the way I...
- 51:42SPEAKER_02: The feel about that is that, you know, it is a time of rebirth.
- 51:50SPEAKER_02: So many people are waking up and coming onto spiritual pathways.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: And in a way,
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: there is a rebirth of the feminine divine in as much as so many of us are
- 52:05SPEAKER_02: experiencing this spiritual force that feels...
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: distinctly feminine to us and i don't mean feminine in in perhaps the ways that
- 52:18SPEAKER_03: we've understood it you know i've been using the phrase yin and yang yeah because
- 52:25SPEAKER_03: um it's a kind of masculine feminine the way that it feels genderized
- 52:31SPEAKER_03: feels like it can be off-putting yes but there's definitely you know an inward yin
- 52:37SPEAKER_03: energy and an outward yang energy and um the outward yang energy has been prevalent
- 52:44SPEAKER_03: in these recent times um and the inward yin energy i'm not so experienced in it in
- 52:52SPEAKER_03: my woman's body you know i'm i'm
- 52:56SPEAKER_03: have to feel very safe to soften and express that kind of mother more quiet place
- 53:06SPEAKER_03: in myself although I'm sure other people would appreciate it if I did it more often
- 53:12SPEAKER_03: but that's not that's not how it is for me I have to feel very safe to feel quiet
- 53:17SPEAKER_03: yeah to be quiet yeah um oh oh thank you that's such a deep
- 53:25SPEAKER_03: and such an honest sharing of your experience, would you create some more sound for us now?
- 53:39SPEAKER_03: Because I just feel like I am in this image of these hundred priestesses and the
- 53:47SPEAKER_03: nine priestesses calling back
- 53:52SPEAKER_03: this goddess, this is the goddess who gave the sister of the minotaur, who gave the ball
- 54:01SPEAKER_03: to Theseus so that he could find his way out of the labyrinth,
- 54:06SPEAKER_03: who was left on an island,
- 54:08SPEAKER_03: who was married to Dionysus,
- 54:10SPEAKER_03: who was,
- 54:10SPEAKER_03: who was.
- 54:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, these are the stories that are written down that I know.
- 54:15SPEAKER_03: And I know that there are so much suppressed material,
- 54:21SPEAKER_03: particularly around female power in,
- 54:26SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 54:27SPEAKER_03: in history.
- 54:27SPEAKER_03: So in history,
- 54:30SPEAKER_03: So many ways, she must have a thousand aspects that haven't been written down.
- 54:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 54:37SPEAKER_02: Well,
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: I mean,
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: and I wish to share that my experience of Ariadne was not the same as what we know
- 54:54SPEAKER_02: of her from the myth.
- 54:56SPEAKER_02: Well,
- 54:57SPEAKER_02: the way I experienced Ariadne,
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: and I think,
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: that in the ancient culture,
- 55:03SPEAKER_02: from everything that,
- 55:04SPEAKER_02: from a lot of what they've found,
- 55:07SPEAKER_02: the artifacts that they've found,
- 55:10SPEAKER_02: and,
- 55:10SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: we're going back...
- 55:13SPEAKER_02: you know a few thousand years bc and the minoan culture was at least 15 just just
- 55:20SPEAKER_02: the minoan culture at least 1500 years of flourishing um and then there would have
- 55:25SPEAKER_02: been before that um now the goddess arevni well the the power that i experienced
- 55:35SPEAKER_02: was not it was a this was a force a crew a forceful
- 55:45SPEAKER_02: I think they understood...
- 55:48SPEAKER_02: goddess at that time as the primal creatrix i see because she's so passive in the
- 55:55SPEAKER_03: stories isn't she i see so yeah yeah i'm feeling what you're saying about this kind
- 56:00SPEAKER_03: of tidal wave of energy that came through you wasn't this passive um person who
- 56:06SPEAKER_03: stood on the sidelines or was left here was the wife of and the girlfriend of and
- 56:12SPEAKER_03: she was a force of nature in her own
- 56:17SPEAKER_03: right and that's how the goddesses would have been in that time absolutely
- 56:23SPEAKER_02: absolutely now there was a fragment of a beautiful and i wish i had brought it um
- 56:29SPEAKER_02: but as part of the invocation i read um an invocation that sappho had written do
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: you know about sappho yeah she's a poet poet yeah lesbos um she was a priestess
- 56:42SPEAKER_02: poet she um wrote a beautiful invocation
- 56:47SPEAKER_02: to ariadne maybe we'll um we'll read it in the next to start the next pod yes it's
- 56:53SPEAKER_02: it's it's stunning actually and really carries a power i mean for me ariadne
- 57:01SPEAKER_02: This is a primal creatrix energy.
- 57:04SPEAKER_02: This isn't how I didn't experience Ariadne as,
- 57:09SPEAKER_02: you know,
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: in a sense,
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: she wasn't this girl,
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: the girl of the myth.
- 57:15SPEAKER_02: The goddess power that I experienced was a primal,
- 57:19SPEAKER_02: like a forceful creatrix energy that I felt that was very connected to the earth.
- 57:29SPEAKER_02: the power of creation and of rebirth.
- 57:32SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, this extraordinary feeling of tenderness and warmth in the heart.
- 57:44SPEAKER_02: It was an extraordinary experience, actually, to connect and to feel that.
- 57:53SPEAKER_02: Beautiful.
- 57:54SPEAKER_02: So, you know, in a sense, it's like the feminine...
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: can also be very it can be a fierce love a powerful love um a force yeah feeling
- 58:07SPEAKER_03: that place where when the boundaries are very clear and very held then the the you
- 58:12SPEAKER_03: know yes places can soften on the inside yeah yeah um we've got a couple of minutes
- 58:20SPEAKER_02: oh my goodness minutes left really quickly um
- 58:26SPEAKER_02: Do you want some more sound?
- 58:28SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 58:28SPEAKER_03: I really do.
- 58:30SPEAKER_03: I really do.
- 58:31SPEAKER_02: I hope you do too.
- 58:32SPEAKER_02: But I really do.
- 58:33SPEAKER_02: I'm happy.
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: I'm happy.
- 58:35SPEAKER_02: I'm wondering what to do.
- 58:38SPEAKER_02: I'm wondering whether to just...
- 58:40SPEAKER_02: Well,
- 58:40SPEAKER_02: whilst you're having a little wonder,
- 58:42SPEAKER_03: I will just say that guys who are in the UK come and see some storytelling next
- 58:51SPEAKER_03: Thursday at the Goddess House in Glastonbury.
- 58:55SPEAKER_03: I think the doors are opening at 7 and we start at 7.30.
- 59:01SPEAKER_03: When I say we, I mean me, but Elsa will be on the door so there will be two of us.
- 59:06SPEAKER_03: And I've still got a couple of places on my story wintering course.
- 59:10SPEAKER_03: And I've been really, really dropping into it.
- 59:13SPEAKER_03: And it's such a gorgeous course.
- 59:16SPEAKER_03: I'm so pleased with...
- 59:19SPEAKER_03: I was thinking about it when Eloise was talking about following something that's
- 59:24SPEAKER_03: not linear.
- 59:27SPEAKER_03: How I've just... I'm not quite... I'm not exactly sure which stories we're going to use...
- 59:32SPEAKER_03: because it depends who comes onto the course because I want to work with those stories that are
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: that are in our DNA on a cellular level in this lifetime.
- 59:45SPEAKER_03: I want to tease those open so that we can use them like blueprints to really open up our lives.
- 59:54SPEAKER_03: So I've got a couple of places on that.
- 59:56SPEAKER_03: That's an online course.
- 59:58SPEAKER_03: And if you message me, then I can give you all the details for that.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_03: That starts on the 1st of December.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_03: And it's monthly until March, I believe.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_03: Sounds lovely.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_03: And do you want to talk about your winter gigs or do you want to sing first?
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, maybe I'll just say that we have, I have some solstice concerts coming up with the Jenny Bliss.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_02: The Jenny Bliss.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_03: The Jenny Bliss will be playing.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_03: We're going to do The Little Mermaid in a couple of weeks.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_03: So she's coming on the pod.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_03: So you'll get to experience the Jenny Bliss, but she's definitely worth listening out for.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, one really, truly wonderful musician and artist, lovely woman.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_02: So we have a concert on the 14th of December in the St Margaret's Chapel,
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_02: the Magdalene,
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: otherwise known as the Magdalene Chapel,
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_02: to those of us who live here,
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_02: starting at 7pm.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_02: And that will be singing songs and carols honouring Mary.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_02: Beautiful.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_02: Mother Mary in this solstice and Christmas season.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_02: And then on the...
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_02: Well, it's either, it was going to be the 21st.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: We just have to check the dates.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_02: It may have to be changed to the 18th.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_02: But if you are interested, we will be confirming dates shortly.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: It will be listed in the Oracle.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: And that's going to be our winter solstice concert, which is songs and carols for the winter solstice.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_02: And that will also be, will be joined by Michael Tayak and William Kramer.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_03: oh great oh my goodness sensitive first half and then rousing second half amazing
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_03: that will that'll be christmas for me if i could make that i'll be lovely i hope
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_03: it's on the 18th i've got 600 000 million things to do on the 21st well it might i
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_02: think the 18th might be a better day for us actually because yeah there's so much
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_02: else going on isn't on the 21st yeah so we're gonna i think yeah we're probably it
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_02: will be the 18th
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: I actually might have a gig on the 18th anyway.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_03: But it's going to be brilliant and you should go.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_03: Take it away, Louise.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_02: What shall I do?
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_02: I am going to go back to the chimes again, I think.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_01: Oh my beloved Oh my beloved Oh my beloved You sing
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_01: in my heart you sing in my heart
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: Oh my beloved Oh my beloved
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_01: beloved oh my beloved you see my
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_01: You see in my heart
