- 9:43[SPEAKER_09]: Dumb thing on my part.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_09]: I normally am pretty good a lot of you.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, Jesse Jackson not doing well.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_09]: Sorry to hear that, the civil rights leader.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_09]: Mm, yeah, it's not good.

- 11:03[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I saw him meeting the Pope.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_09]: He gave the Pope's, it looked like him.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what it was.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_09]: I know Spike Lee gave the Pope a Nickster's.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_09]: He said, Pope Lee, oh, number 14 on the back.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_09]: Which was nice.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what the Pope does with all this swag, but I'm sure he likes getting it.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not sure what Vigo gave him.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_09]: It looked like I might be like a CD.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if it was a movie or something.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_09]: That could be I mean I thought maybe he'd give him something like a car freshener something from the area here Or a couple or ring a crowgun below me.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_09]: That's what you always give somebody if you're North country stuff right here So anyway, it was a nice little ceremony where Hollywood people I met the Holy Father and that's good Not too many waters out high graduates can say they met the Pope
- 11:55[SPEAKER_09]: I know I was never invited.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_09]: I am a little miffed by that.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_09]: 755-1240 the phone number if you'd like to give us a call.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_09]: Go ahead you're on the airdough.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah I wonder if maybe Gigma of Copy at the Green Book.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_17]: That was good movie.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_09]: Could be.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_17]: Like that.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_17]: Well that's kind of his kind of movie, you know, at the ending of all kinds of stuff.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_09]: What else is going on?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, not much.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_17]: town tax up here after all, so yeah, what was that all about?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_17]: Well, they thought they might have to raise the tax or whatever started tax and then during the meeting, I guess they found some more money or something, so they didn't have to.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, government, you got to fire tax up here that, you know, we got to pay for
- 12:58[SPEAKER_09]: You don't call him fire for he needs to be there's full time for your people you know fireman uh well good well that's the way you're going to have to do it I don't I don't see with this idea you know who wants to get up in the middle of the night get out of bed put turnout gear on run outside in the coal getting a car drive somewhere and it may or may not be a real fire but you know that's just you want to be community obviously obviously our parents did
- 13:25[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you never did, did you?
- 13:26[SPEAKER_17]: Well, it's in some of no, I didn't know.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_17]: Well, I couldn't, I was tied up all day long.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I don't know.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_17]: No, I really had, but there was guys that worked, you know, around here, I knew a lot a bunch of them.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_17]: I mean, they were able to do what they had.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_17]: Businesses where they could get away, restaurant business will different, but they had help to take a do it.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_17]: Just no, I never did that, but I respect the guys you did do it.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think it's great if you're can, but how does that fit into too many people's lifestyle these days?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_09]: It doesn't.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_17]: They don't know.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_17]: It doesn't.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_17]: Things are totally different today.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_17]: And it's like a lot of things.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_17]: A lot of people used to volunteer for a lot of different things that don't volunteer for things now.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_17]: I mean, look at your clubs, your outreach, your egos, all that.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_17]: You don't get the volunteers like they used to.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_09]: Well, nobody's going to volunteer work.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it was like these places.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_17]: Well, I want to.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_09]: I mean it's one thing to help out it's another thing for me to say I want my I want volunteer bartenders or something.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, yeah.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, I got you know, I hear it.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_17]: That'd be Wage stuff because it's yeah after a while you're taking the damage off, you know, so yeah, but I mean it's a different world today.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, what else is going on?
- 14:48[SPEAKER_17]: Um, she's other net Jeff, it's often true, you know what I mean, the whether it's cold off today, really cold off.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_17]: I know, um, other net just waiting to, you know, getting bits and pieces and stuff on it there.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_17]: She's doing a lot of, uh, uh, groundwork.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_17]: She's doing a lot of, um, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
- 15:17[SPEAKER_17]: Instagram all the different things she's always had she's got a lot of presence on there and she knows what she's doing and that a lot of support I think and she's building out that's what the thing I like so well we'll see what happens I mean I can't be hopeful I don't know about you know she still faces a probable primary against the lieutenant governor
- 15:39[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and you really don't know where the whole mime-dommie thing falls because mime-dommie, those people are, you know, understand really a little full of themselves and they think they're going to have an impact on elections.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_09]: I don't, there's nothing to think that Mr. mime-dommie will endorse Kathy Hokel, which means maybe his peeps go elsewhere in a primary.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_17]: I'd like somebody to call, and maybe Danny Francis could call in and tell me where socialism and communism has been successful.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I don't know.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_17]: Do I do you know of any cases?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_17]: You know, they'll always preach and say, Denmark and Sweden that, but they reverted back to capitalism.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_17]: No, it was socialism.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I know.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_09]: It's not necessarily...
- 16:24[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, we're kind of socialism now.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_17]: Well, yeah.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_17]: It's some respect, yeah.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_17]: And you mean, really, has it done, you know, people always point to Social Security, except that if the same token,
- 16:38[SPEAKER_17]: That is all of the multi-millionaires.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_11]: Really?
- 16:42[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_17]: You take it from the time you started paying, you remember you paid in Social Security, Medicare pay was the first job you had.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_17]: Didn't matter if it was a part-time job or what they took out for that.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_17]: You're paying rates on day one.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_17]: And if you just put that money into the stock market, you just think where you'd be.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_09]: Well, all of that's true, or today it's in video or any of that stuff, but you know what if what if, I mean, it's an insurance program, so a lot of people pay in, some never collect, some collect more, it's like Medicare.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, Medicare is an insurance program, Social Security is a permits care.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_17]: If you were to do that, if Jeff Graham was to put together the same thing as Social Security does,
- 17:37[SPEAKER_17]: you get arrested and put in jail like those guys did years ago with that gold thing remember uh... and i'll grant you if you took care it's a pyramid scheme because you're the people that the people at the end of the ones that are read the beginning of the ones that make out the best right well we all know that we all know that he listen it's a it's interesting and uh...
- 18:08[SPEAKER_09]: No, I didn't.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, good.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_17]: Good.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_17]: Well, yes, yeah, I think you could break it right now and get me sure they always do.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_17]: Mm-hmm.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_09]: I feel sad.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_09]: I feel like I should have apologized to the community.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_09]: It was oversight on my part.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_09]: I was just... Well, I wasn't paying attention.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, yeah, I think it was.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it's easy with those electric cars that you're going.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, no.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_09]: You know what I'm saying?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, if I credit to save it, oh, no, I...
- 18:34[SPEAKER_17]: I've never exceeded the speed limit yet they do every day and see if that's why I'm going look at I walk every day from my house down to this round of the schools and back up and I can tell you that people on their texting students, teachers, administrators, on their phones, texting, driving through a school zone, going 30 miles an hour, seeing every day.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_17]: See people going through their inforty unless the cops parked up the street there then they
- 19:03[SPEAKER_17]: They'll tell you the same thing.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_17]: I'm walking.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_17]: I see him on their phones.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_11]: I know.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_17]: Not talking.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_17]: So yeah, so everybody does it, you know, in a mean or at one point or another.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_17]: Hmm.

- 22:51[SPEAKER_15]: Mm-hmm.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_15]: Mm-hmm.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_15]: but other than that, I just want the Democrats to know what Trump's trying to do and they go ahead and read their feelings.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_15]: We're what?
- 23:01[SPEAKER_15]: The third highest in the nation.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_09]: I think so, yes.
- 23:09[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_15]: But that's Democrats.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_15]: No, when that letter does go off, our talk
- 23:22[SPEAKER_15]: so that needs to pay a more tax?
- 23:25[SPEAKER_09]: I know.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_09]: I know, it's all crazy.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_15]: Because that's the way of raising taxes, without saying we didn't raise taxes.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_15]: So, and that goes from just to, you know, there's a point about, you know, options, or the price of things is gone up.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, you can have tax food, but, you know, clothing.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think they should tax food.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_09]: Why not?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, you're laughing, why not?
- 23:59[SPEAKER_15]: Well, obviously, you know, that's a necessity.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_15]: It's something that you do need.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_09]: Well, a lot of things are necessities.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_15]: Well, not having 4KVs, that's not an necessity.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_15]: You know, I don't see that in, you know, being now healthcare.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_15]: That's another issue too.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_15]: There's a lot of people who feel have three or four times,
- 24:22[SPEAKER_15]: But when it comes to your health, here, they have no money for it.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_15]: So, you know, there's things that you need, there's things that you don't need.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_15]: Uh-huh.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you're right about that.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_09]: I don't, I don't know what I need or don't need anymore, but, uh, I just know they keep raising the price of everything and can't really afford it.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_09]: But they keep doing it.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_15]: It's hard for us to come down, and we get to come down, I mean that's one good thing.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_15]: But it's two good places to go up on product, it seems like it never goes down to see.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_09]: That's right.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_09]: No, I will thank you.

- 29:47[SPEAKER_17]: Yes.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_17]: Why are the flags half managed today?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, me.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_17]: Now, I've went to Browville in the post office in Browville.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_17]: And right across the road, it's a fire department.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_17]: Both of them had the American flag half mass.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_17]: I just, I didn't know something going on.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_17]: I didn't know though.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_09]: I haven't heard of anything, uh, you know, they do tend to order it half, uh, half staff for any number of reasons, but I don't know of anything now.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I'll let you go out of the deck, sir.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_09]: Hi, thank you.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_09]: If anybody knows, give us a hoot and a holler as if our flag said, maybe it was something specific to Brownville.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, well.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see, flanks at half-staff today.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it says it'll be that way, and it'll be- Oh, come on, don't do that to me.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, because of Dick Cheney, former vice president.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_09]: Why are some people so obsessed with the obscene files?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_09]: What do you hope and to find out?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_09]: Now the president says go ahead and release them.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if they'll get released.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_09]: I don't even know who knows what you're looking at.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_09]: Is it like a vanilla folder or what is the obscene files?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_09]: What are they?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_09]: Everybody, here are our Democratic friends.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_09]: Mag and Petos and all of that.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_09]: So what's in it?
- 31:23[SPEAKER_09]: What are you looking to get?
- 31:28[SPEAKER_09]: Trump was at a cocktail party with Epstein or something.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what you're looking to get.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, stuff 20, 25 years ago again, I mean, it's like our city school district just paid off $3 million on something that happened back in the 1960s.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_09]: That's how crazy the world has become, but I don't know what to say other than
- 31:54[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know why you're fascinated by it, but you are.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_09]: I get comments on my blog at nausea.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, you know, Orange Man Bad, and Taco, Taco, Peto, Peto, and all of this other side.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_09]: One of the times, what are you hoping to find out from the Epstein files?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_09]: What clarity will it provide in our lives?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_09]: Other than maybe you can embarrass some people, or something like that, but, I don't know most people aren't embarrassed anymore anyway.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_09]: And I don't even know who these, you know, they talk about the victims.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_09]: I don't, I don't, I don't know nothing about them.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_09]: Other than the lady who killed herself, or junior job right there.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_09]: She was the one in the picture with Prince Andrew.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_09]: I don't, you know, what are we going to hope and to find out?
- 32:42[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody want to call in and say, you know, what's your goal?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_09]: What's your goal with this Epstein now?
- 32:47[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, CNN, it's like, it's the 24 hour Epstein channel.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_09]: And now you have Marjorie Taylor Greene, they pull a CNN-hated Marjorie Taylor Greene until she criticized Trump and now they love her.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_09]: Now they're worried about her safety, I saw both.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_09]: Let's sit around this morning, worrying about M.T.G., they call her M.T.G., she's like AOC.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_09]: Not many politicians get to be known by their initials, but she's M.T.G., yeah, I hope she runs for President in 28, yeah, I vote for her.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_09]: 755-1240 is our phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of show is today.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_09]: We didn't get any calls from any of the the dams.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_09]: I guess they really don't have anything that they're trying to find out.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_09]: They're just trying to stir the pot.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's okay.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_09]: Alrighty, well 755-1240 is our phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows

- 34:07[SPEAKER_09]: He's on his way down to a new old street.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_09]: He's a good Democrat.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_09]: He is a good Democrat.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't know anything else going on is that's enough for today.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_09]: Well, now what are they going to ask?
- 34:31[SPEAKER_09]: And what's our local media going to ask Senator Schumer today?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_09]: Because he's up there.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_09]: He wants to, he wants to have a press conference and talk about Trump tariffs and Northern New York businesses and he how he's standing up for him and all of that.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_09]: It's just a made up topic.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_09]: Is anybody going to ask him about AOC or about the shutdown?
- 34:51[SPEAKER_09]: about all the eight senators see that story in the top water on times of the day they had the pictures of the eight senators voted to end the shot out like they were bad people i think they're good people and i think they did the right thing they should know these are they broke ranks they broke ranks and thank god they did exactly so um...

- 39:08[SPEAKER_13]: Around the corner, around the continent.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_13]: Around the clock.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_13]: This is the news in talk authority.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_13]: AM-1240.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_09]: W-A-T-N-A-M-1240-W-A-T-N. You know that drug bust from yesterday.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_09]: 9800 glassy and envelopes containing fentanyl.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_09]: $553 in US currency.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_09]: A couple grams of methamphetamine.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_09]: 23 grams of crack.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_09]: Set of scales.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_09]: I just don't know enough about the drug scene, I guess.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_09]: What do you do with all this $9,800 glassy non-robes containing fentanyl?
- 39:57[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, as I get mixed with something, or what do you do with it?
- 40:03[SPEAKER_09]: Any druggies out there must be a few of them.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_09]: They arrested a 31-year-old woman, residing at Creekwood.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_09]: Another 25-year-old woman lives at Creekwood.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_09]: And a 17-year-old male from Syracuse, they don't mention his name, why not?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he had a control.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_09]: Boy, these two women are held on $250 cash bail.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, that's a lot of money.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_09]: 250 dollars ninety eight hundred envelopes of fentanyl and only cost you two fifty to get out of jail that don't wonder they do it but after doing it on the air they do it what's up uh... just listening to the show uh... two you know it's really got me crazy about the thought not about that going on around here at least locally you know this the cremian
- 41:10[SPEAKER_14]: that they're blowing ships up out of the water.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_14]: And here in the city of our town, when they find $9,600 less, and we'll say, yes, they let them go.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_09]: Amazing.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_09]: Why don't we shoot and kill them?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, rather we at least interrogate them with the zero.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_14]: Zero positive positive, whatever you want to call it.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_14]: And make sure that they never come into this area ever again, because they're from out of the area.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_14]: And it's just, I don't know, it blows my mind.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_14]: I guess I want to go into a, I want to just talk to you about something else.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_14]: I think Delgado is going to be Kathy Hodge or a primary.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, cool.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_14]: He's going to, he's going to team up with Madani and they're going to run that socialists.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_14]: Right.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_14]: Crap down our throat together.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_14]: It kind of is looking that way.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_14]: Don't you think?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_09]: i i think uh... you know there are other shoes to drop in all of this i think governor hockles when i have her hands full next year not just with a least a fun echo i think will wage a great campaign but also with the and twenty o'clock out or who is by any stretch uh... pretty uh... attractive candidate yeah he uh... he's talking a lot like my mbani you know and uh... with his uh... socialist projects that he has in mind
- 42:31[SPEAKER_14]: You know, it's just crazy the way that they're staying together on their power.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know, that's what people wanted, though.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, they want free trial here.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_09]: They want to buses that are fast and free.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_09]: They want this and that and they're probably going to get some of it.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_09]: Not all of it already.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_09]: You've got legislators in Albany who are introducing legislation to accommodate the mom-dami tax plan to raise corporate taxes up to 11% or whatever they want to raise it to.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_09]: So I mean, you've got
- 43:00[SPEAKER_09]: This is happening.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I'm done.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_09]: He's not just a freak.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, he's meeting with Trump.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_14]: Trump is meeting with Marndani.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I don't know.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_14]: I doubt he's really got the stare at the people when it comes to Netanyahu coming to New York City.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_09]: Well, listen, I mean, Marndani is going to be mayor of New York City like it or not.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_09]: And I have to deal with him.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_09]: I would say the president should meet with him.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_09]: Invite the mom down east of the White House.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_09]: It's a pretty pretty heavy experience.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_09]: You know, let the first lady show Mrs.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_09]: Mom down me around at all the Christmas decorations and, you know, make it cordial, I mean, there's no point.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_09]: I just hate this calling names, you know, out in the ether, you know, you're screaming names in each other.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_14]: where when it comes to read down to it, we need to coexist as far as, you know, right.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_09]: These people really want all that goes.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_09]: They want free stuff.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_09]: They think everything should be free.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_09]: It's just the way it is.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_09]: They $30 minimum wage.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_09]: They want it all.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_09]: And you know what?
- 44:09[SPEAKER_09]: If they win the elections, they can get it all.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_09]: You got to remember, New York City, out of 150 members of the state assembly,
- 44:20[SPEAKER_09]: If you can keep all of them in line, plus a few upstate Democrats, you're in control, baby.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_09]: Same thing with the Senate.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_14]: How does he, how does he, how does he beat that, how does he beat that?
- 44:33[SPEAKER_14]: Exactly what you just said, 70 out of the home, many in New York.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_14]: Well, it's such a, it's such a, it's such a disadvantage.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_09]: Well, the difference is,
- 44:44[SPEAKER_09]: A lot of upstate counties vote Republican, but not by big margins, 55, 60 percent.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_09]: Those counties downstate, they don't, they have bad voting turnout too, but they're delivering 80 to 90 percent in many of those areas.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_09]: So that's how they win.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_09]: I want you to go to do is just get more of these North country people and upstate people off their butt and you got to do well in the suburbs.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, a NASA Suffolk County on the island, you got to do well.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_14]: Thanks for taking my phone call.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_09]: No, thank you.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I hear it.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_09]: New York City.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, wait.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_09]: You're whining.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_09]: The people who whine like that, they don't vote anyway.
- 45:28[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_09]: Just get out and vote.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_09]: Hope for the best.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_09]: Make sure you're relatives vote.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_09]: You're kids.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_09]: You're lazy kids.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_09]: You're parents.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_09]: You're uncles.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_09]: You're coworkers.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_09]: If you're working on getting five people to go vote, it wouldn't have voted otherwise.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_09]: You've done more for our democracy than any of these idiots in office.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_09]: So, it's the way it is, because a lot's on the line next year in New York.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not here to argue about Kathy Hokel.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_09]: I think, I think the caller is right.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_09]: I think the mom, dummy people, see a power play coming.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_09]: They know they got them.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_09]: They cannot have a situation where you got a governor who vetoes.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_09]: uh... progressive legislation out of the legislature they have the votes in the legislature to pass whatever they want what they can't afford to do is have a governor who vetoes things so they got you know they got to make a play on her and they're going to whether it's successful i don't know or why i'm no political analyst or anything i'm no whoever well i am the friend dicker of the north country i guess yeah
- 46:36[SPEAKER_09]: Well anyway, I guess Ryan McDougall should be pulling in the water town right now from his perch and governor or he's supposed to be at the former Maggie's now the 1812 on Newell Street by one o'clock to meet Senator Chuck Schumer too.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_09]: He sent a minority leader who you've seen on TV, the architect of the shutdown.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, Schumer shutdown, you heard or heard about it all the time on Fox is to Schumer himself is in water town.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_09]: or arriving shortly.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_09]: So we'll see, I don't know.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_09]: I'm surprised he's not stopping by here.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_09]: I'm really surprised.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_09]: And I'm surprised he's not stopping by Pearl Street.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_09]: But oh, well, oh well.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_09]: Because what kind of media hits he gonna get?
- 47:27[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he'll be on the channel seven news.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if a time says anybody
- 47:37[SPEAKER_09]: You know, no radio news anymore, so yeah, there's not a lot out there.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see, remember the old days, post-standard, you can get a delivered year house.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my god, that was with the days.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_09]: Yep, you got a, in effect, a morning pay at Bob's strong, was reporting for him, he got a different take on city council meetings and those were good days.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_09]: So, I'll go on now.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_09]: We live in a news desert, they call it.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm, just the way it is, I guess.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_09]: All righty, 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_09]: If you'd like to be on the show of shows today, if you have any comments on the Senator coming to town today, or you don't know who he is, you can say that, too.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_09]: Uh-huh.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_09]: What do you think of the, oh, they released the ballots for next year's Hall of Fame thing?
- 48:31[SPEAKER_09]: The most valuable player.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_09]: I agree with O'Connor in the National League,
- 48:37[SPEAKER_09]: over in the American league.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_09]: I love Aaron Judge.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_09]: I do.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_09]: And he had a great year.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_09]: But that Cal Raleigh was Seattle 60 homers and you don't get to be MVP and plus he had more RBIs in Judge.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_09]: Granted Judge had a better average.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_09]: He did a lot for his team.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_09]: But I don't think Seattle would have made it as far as they did if it weren't for Cal Raleigh.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_09]: So
- 49:07[SPEAKER_09]: I, and again, I like Aaron Judge, um, he would have had 65 homers if the idiot boon wasn't running a team a couple of years back, but, um, I don't know, Cal Raleigh did so well for the Mariners.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_09]: Just my thought, I know a lot of you feel differently and all of that.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_09]: So there you go.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_09]: That was kind of a close call for the bills yesterday.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_09]: They were close to losing that game.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_09]: But they put it together and late in the fourth quarter.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_09]: The win was 4432.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_09]: But it was at 4231 Tampa or something earlier.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see, somebody texted, and I hope they honor Schumer with naming a sandwich for them.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody else checks in judge disappears in the playoffs.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_09]: That's true.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_09]: We're only at five homers in the playoffs.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_09]: And they didn't make it even as far as Yankees.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_09]: So...
- 50:12[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if they're gonna name a sandwich after Senator Schumer.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_09]: That's a little, it must be, is 1812 or Maggie's.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_09]: Is that a Democrat bar now if they're holding it there?
- 50:22[SPEAKER_09]: It must be.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_09]: I think the owners related to D.D.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_09]: Scores of Five, isn't she?
- 50:27[SPEAKER_09]: Isn't he?
- 50:27[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_09]: And then he got Garland City, that's owned by avid Democrats.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_09]: So.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_09]: But, you know, the press release is going to talk about fighting for northern New York businesses and against the Trump Terrors.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_09]: Oh.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_09]: Well, how about this question, Senator?
- 50:51[SPEAKER_09]: Why did you just make us endure this 42-day shutdown?
- 50:55[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I don't want to talk about that.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_09]: It's not my room today.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, okay.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_09]: Gotcha.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_09]: No tough questions for Chuck today.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, he's out of DC's come to a news desert, so he can have the day off from hard questions.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he doesn't want to have to face that.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, positive calls today.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_09]: I haven't heard from the neighbor here recently.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_09]: haven't heard from the the angry man is he all right is the angry man okay back with the other day he was got into full angry man and then he just went silent night was worried it's wrong with him kind of remind reminds of the scene on the movie network when Howard bill goes into a ramp and then passes out on stage yeah it's hope he's okay hope he's okay I'm sure he is
- 51:54[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, let's see.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_09]: Now the kids in your school saying, six, seven.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_09]: I think you're still trying to crack down in some area.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what it means.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not an educator, so I don't know what it means.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, Ronier.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah, I have a comment.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_25]: I was listening to your show earlier, and I heard Duff mentioned that peace lots of social security.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_25]: And yeah, it's collected a little bit weirdly, but if he's trying social security now and he really thought it was a pyramid scheme, perhaps he should consider repaying it back to the government and trying to live without it.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_09]: I know.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_25]: Anyone?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_25]: My thought for the day.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you, by the way.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_09]: Social security.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_09]: In the point, Duff was trying to make is if the money you put into social security, let's leave out Medicare, leave that up every week, if you make $100, $7.65 goes to social security and Medicare out of your side of it.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_09]: The employer, you don't see this, but the employer is required to match that.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_09]: So it really comes out to, I think, at 16.3% now.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_09]: each side contributes 6.2% to fika or social security.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_09]: So every week 12.4% of your money goes into social security.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_09]: It is true.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_09]: If you were 18 years of age and you just started putting 12.4% of your income into some kind of IRA or mutual fund or something, you'd do pretty well.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_09]: But then you got all the other people, the SSI disabilities, you're survivors, but I can't have any of that.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_09]: So, yes, it's true.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_09]: If you did that, that's why it's a bit of an insurance plan in addition to a retirement plan.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not sure how benefits are computed or any of that, but he raises a point.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_09]: But if the cream of the crop and the economy did that, the system would be even more insolvent.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_09]: So there you go.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_16]: Hey, Jeff, but I'm six, seven, and what the meaning is.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I really don't know what it is either, but do you remember the movie The Great Escape with Steve McQueen?
- 54:19[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, very good, yeah.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_16]: So, they're trying to escape the Germans, okay?
- 54:25[SPEAKER_16]: No, it's camp.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_16]: Now, I just watched this past weekend and the Gestapo both up in their Mercedes, you know, are and on the side of it was painted of six seven.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_16]: So I just, I was like, huh, I wonder if that's what it was trying to refer to some kind of Nazi thing.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_16]: But I don't know.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_16]: I see you.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_09]: Well, we're all Nazi these days.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_09]: Well, listen.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_09]: I got a run.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_09]: I got to go now.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_09]: Hi.
