- 7:11[SPEAKER_19]: A little chilly, but hey, it's nice.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_19]: It's nice out there.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_19]: It's still where you're shorts and all of that stuff, but Well, we'll see.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_19]: We'll see.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_19]: What's going on in the world?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_19]: uh... budget governor hopeful announced a budget deal and all but he not that any of us care because it doesn't affect our lives but then all of a sudden speaker hasty two hours later said there's no deal i don't know what's going on we just got but it doesn't include that pita tear tax for new york city and hopefully they'll add that for upstate two so we can get some more needed money for our cash strapped local governments in school districts yes pita tear make the rich people pay yeah that's the way to do it
- 7:53[SPEAKER_19]: and we don't have a lot of rich people up here there might be a couple of couple that we can tap yeah let's go get him go get him yep city budget oh my god these budget sessions they say they lowered the proposed loving increase from 11.1 to 8.05 percent all right let's see
- 8:14[SPEAKER_19]: He got it quit playing him.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_19]: Well, if we don't have a parking meter cop, what will I do to the tax rate, Mr. Mills?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_19]: And if we reduce the office furniture with a fire department from 2400 to 2200, what would that do with for the tax rate, Mr. Mills?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_19]: Knock it off.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_19]: Just say, this is your tax levy.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_19]: Whatever it is, this is what we're going to levy the public.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_19]: You got a manager there.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_19]: Isn't his job to manage?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_19]: Not dictate?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_19]: so just I thought about this as I did it for years and I caught up in these things myself and I'm not saying I was perfect but only count just say to just say our you know the levy last year was 2.12.1 and this year is going to be 12.3 and that's it and oh my god no make it work make it work and you know I think
- 9:12[SPEAKER_19]: I feel bad for the city in a way because Dr. Schmiggle spends 112.2 million and nobody questions anything.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_19]: I maybe he's a smarter guy and a more personal.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know what his deal is.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_19]: But I never hear any questioning of it.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_19]: And yet we're arguing over how many days a week we're going to have the Flynn pool open.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_19]: Which playgrounds are going to be?
- 9:36[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_19]: Maybe it's good governance, but it sounds like you're balancing the budget and the backs of children.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_19]: I don't have any children, so I'm not really confident to discuss children, but it just sounds like that to me.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_19]: Okay?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_19]: All right, let's take a call.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_19]: Good afternoon here on the air.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_10]: I'm here on the budget.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_10]: I'm glad they're keeping the garbage pick up, I think most people want to keep that service that's been in business for 60 years or something.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, let's hope they can make it more of a success.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, what I wanted to know on the zoo, how was the zoo, funded 50 years ago, Mayor?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_10]: When I was young, it didn't cost us a nickel to go to the zoo.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_10]: What happened?
- 10:24[SPEAKER_10]: Did we city not run another city, run it back at that time or?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_19]: Well, the city ran it as part of the park.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_19]: Well, the zoo increasingly became obsolete because you're couldn't really keep lions there, and there was a lot of pressure to close it.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_19]: So the city closed it, and then this local group of citizens formed the Thompson Park Conservancy of not-for-profit corporation, and they caught a deal with the city.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_10]: The zoo's a non-profit.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I don't believe it.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_10]: I don't believe it.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_19]: I don't believe in that term, but.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, but can you charge your mission if you're not in profit?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_19]: Sure, you can.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, you can?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_10]: Did you get what I said?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_19]: I got you.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_10]: I was young, the zoo was wide open.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_10]: Did they cost us a nickel to go to the zoo?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_10]: Why are they charging people to go to the zoo now?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_10]: Fifty years later.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_10]: That's what.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_19]: Well, I suspect there are people.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_19]: Yes.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_10]: Does this seat handle the maintenance years ago?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_19]: Yes.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_10]: What changed?
- 11:43[SPEAKER_19]: Well, I wanted to have something more contemporary type zoo and they had to fund it somehow.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_19]: So, how was it funded years ago?
- 11:55[SPEAKER_19]: City taxpayers, it was part of the Erecreation Department.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_19]: I believe.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_10]: But why did this change?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_10]: That's my question.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_10]: I don't understand.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_10]: We used to go to the zoo.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_10]: I like that years ago.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_10]: I hate to say people don't like them, but that's, you could go to the zoo.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_10]: As you're right, it was part of the park.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_10]: Now you're going to think, what is it?
- 12:18[SPEAKER_10]: $12 a get to the damn gate.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_10]: Most people.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_10]: I didn't know a nonprofit could charge to do something like that, Mary.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_19]: Well, those things are called not-for-profit corporations.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_19]: That's just a text designation.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_19]: Doesn't really mean anything.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_10]: All.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_19]: Um, but the, um...
- 12:34[SPEAKER_10]: He's a lot here in the city when half our property is tax exempt.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_10]: That's a big problem.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_10]: Walk it up.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_10]: Mm-hmm.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_10]: We've got 70 of them in the three counties.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_10]: I've written a paper.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_10]: What's your property now?
- 12:50[SPEAKER_10]: I'm profits in this area alone.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_10]: My God.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_10]: Isn't that run by people not taking a paycheck everybody?
- 12:57[SPEAKER_19]: Now it was it used to be running these non-profits fair it used to be the trash service was something a city provided and then oh is that right there yeah you just put your trash I I wonder whether returning that's a good idea granted there's a cost but you know no I think most people want
- 13:27[SPEAKER_10]: a private haul of it will I know for my garbage all I'm still getting charged you know mm-hmm they do a good job down they pick out a problem call them down there they're answering your question mm-hmm I call them a few times I've almost found an answer mayor yeah but uh I was wondering because the zoos coming back to the next meeting I guess I don't know what they look like oh my god yeah we don't even know how much money they got in the reserve from their kid get that answered we have no idea what their finances are none
- 13:55[SPEAKER_10]: came in after that article in the paper there.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_10]: But we don't know where that money went.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_10]: Who knows where it went?
- 14:02[SPEAKER_10]: I got an idea where it went.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not definitely not, you know.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_10]: Where do you think it went?
- 14:09[SPEAKER_19]: Where do you think it went?
- 14:11[SPEAKER_10]: How much?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, where do you think it went?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I don't want to say because I'm not definitely not it.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_10]: I just got an idea where we go, you know what I mean?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_21]: Yeah.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_19]: but uh... there's a lot of money came into door but uh... i don't know where went but that's all i got to be there oh okay well thank you you better by now all right the angry man not to angry today kind of mellow i was gonna bring up his neighbors but i didn't be accused of pandering and stoking the fire in all of that you know
- 14:49[SPEAKER_19]: Well, a state's concern that you are screwing them out of $1.2 billion in tolls, because you have license plates that somehow obscure the number so they can't be billed under easy pass.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_19]: To the people who do that, I say, whoah, good for you, good for you.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_19]: All right, Kentucky Derby, you know, the horse that won't, isn't going to compete in
- 15:19[SPEAKER_19]: I don't think they should be allowed to do that.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, the people want to, you know, this, the great horses, funny side and secretary at all that, they competed in all the, I don't go for that stuff.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_19]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_16]: I think the anger man was getting this a good point about where all this money to zoo is going.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_16]: I've been wondering that for quite a while too.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_16]: And I thought something just
- 15:49[SPEAKER_16]: One of the fundraiser people at the zoo, she likes to keep posting that all the jewelry that she's wearing.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_16]: So she has these pictures.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_16]: If the jewelry is where it is real, easily worth over $1 million worth of jewelry.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_16]: So I don't know, is this real jewelry or is this fake jewelry?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_16]: And why is somebody who is supposed to be in charge of the funding of the zoo posting all these
- 16:17[SPEAKER_16]: Ex, you know, it's elaborate, jewelry, I mean, it's It can't have costume jewelry or it's real, so I think there's a bezel that going on up there No, you can't say that, I mean No, I can't say that, and that's, I think that's what exactly is going on, because the anger man makes a great point Everything rain, great, but on sudden when they went walk, then they're broke Mm-hmm Well, I don't really know anything about a lady with jewelry, I haven't seen it, so I can't comment
- 16:46[SPEAKER_16]: send you the pictures you don't talk about she's also on TV she does a little series on PBS oh yeah the history lady yeah I love her she's the her pictures that she posed if it's real jewelry it's worth easily over a million dollars really okay she's the history queen that no she that's part of her
- 17:13[SPEAKER_19]: I don't think those are the crown jewels from the Louvre or anything.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_16]: There's how many stories do we find where people steer from a city or someplace, for years and years and nobody notices that they were going to get busted the ladies stepped out in the million and a half in jewelry.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_16]: This happens quite a bit.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_21]: Mm-hmm.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_16]: I'm saying that's what I think is going on.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_16]: I'm going to ask because where's all that money going?
- 17:36[SPEAKER_19]: Well we're not talking about that much money really, if you 100,000, I don't know what they raised off that New York Times.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, my opinion on the New York Times, the windfall if it is, you know, they should come clean on that and, you know, the donor list, hopefully it can be recurring donors, but, uh, I don't even know that happening.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_16]: It could just shut that.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_19]: Well, they could have and, yeah, nobody would question it.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_19]: I saw it on Channel 7 though.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_16]: Maybe they would help other people want to donate too.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_16]: But like you said, they can get the, when they, when you ask
- 18:14[SPEAKER_16]: all they're doing is giving you the spreadsheet that they just made up they're not showing you the bank statement so not showing you transactions that's coming out of the account mm-hmm I mean I've seen them at city council they basically took a clan and decided oh these are my numbers and there's a there and here's a here's a picture of an animal and here's some more numbers but here's a here's another picture of a wall look at the wall I mean it's it's comical but anyway that's all I had to say
- 18:44[SPEAKER_19]: Well, people are easily bamboozled, and in public office, you know, some people aren't able to comprehend numbers, some people are, you know, just choose not to bother, I'm whatever, whatever.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_19]: But let's look at this way.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_19]: How much controversy or talk I just showed, did you hear about the 112.2 million dollar school budget?
- 19:10[SPEAKER_19]: The answer is zero.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_19]: or the $350 million county budget zero how they spend lots of money and there's no debate on it why do we debate these city issues so much.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_19]: I know they're down more home issues like a a teetototter whether we should have one or something like that but still when you think about it and and a state's going to approve a 260 plus billion dollar budget
- 19:37[SPEAKER_19]: And none of you are going to know what's in it, or none of you will care, you know?
- 19:41[SPEAKER_19]: But after noon you're on the hit, oh.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_19]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, well Mr. Mayor.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_19]: Hey, what's up?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_17]: Oh, yeah, I mean, this is a good topic.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_17]: I just got back and forward and just yesterday.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_17]: And one of my favorite products was my niece treated me to, uh, their members of the, uh, zoo Tampa.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_17]: What a beautiful zoo.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_17]: And they treated me, their members.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_17]: And I saw the sign going in at $50 dollars for a daily visit, and I had a cheese, a grilled cheese sandwich with like $11, I had a beer with like $11, and I wasn't complaining.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_17]: Of course, it's a much bigger zoo with much more exotic animals, but I think it pays for the zoo to address people that you want to stay in town.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_17]: Well, I'm sure they can sell it by the family membership for the season, and if they got any activity that's to support the zoo, I would like to go for the entertainment, plus it's for the zoo.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_19]: I still think, I still think we're on a date, we're small, we're not on a worst.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_17]: The activity that supports the zoo, yeah, it's nice, that doesn't support the zoo.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_17]: the dive vehicle would be I would go to the one that supports the zoo.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_17]: So, right if I if I if I if I hold on hold on I hold on and I was the zoo and support the zoo.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_19]: All right if I stroke a hundred dollar check right now for the zoo is that a good thing?
- 21:20[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah right a hundred right but the problem is nobody asked for it first of all and secondly
- 21:29[SPEAKER_19]: We have no idea what the overall, you know, the park is not just a zoo and a golf course and a pickleball court and a pool and a speed bumper too.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_19]: It's more than that, it's a whole entity and we have no idea.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_19]: You couldn't ask anybody on a third floor, what's it cost to maintain the park for a year in its present state?
- 21:50[SPEAKER_19]: The mowing cost, fertilizer, the this, the that, the other thing.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_17]: I don't think anybody's got that number.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_17]: I talked to the, the, what the mostly lays about it, a college student, they work to pursue, so they're getting their, I mean, it's much more just for entertainment, look at these.

- 27:08[SPEAKER_19]: They're getting rid of parking enforcement downtown.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_19]: I, I, I'm no problem with that.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_19]: I, I, I think it's, uh, you know, I, I hear you, well, the, the merchants park in front of their own stores.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_19]: Well, then they're stupid.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_19]: You know, I don't, it's not a public government to correct that.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_19]: And as far as anything else,
- 27:29[SPEAKER_19]: We don't need people who are wranged out on, you know, you get to have wranged enough for these Kaufman stuff and campaigns from the governor, we don't need to be writing a bunch of traffic tickets.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_19]: So if we don't have anybody down there, so what?
- 27:42[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, if there's an individual problem deal with it, that's what they got our officers on the street for.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_19]: So, way I look at it, and I'm not in favor of chalking tires either, I think that's, I hate that kind of stuff.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, let's see.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_19]: Nope, lost a call.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_19]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if it likes to be on the air today.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_19]: Um, let's see.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_19]: Good to see you.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_19]: Well, we're going to get into that budget deal.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know what to say, there is no.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_19]: Somebody says those stupid AI commercials are beginning to sound certain.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_19]: I think you're hearing a lot today of AI announcers.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_19]: Why have a booth announcer?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_19]: You used to have that in broadcasting.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, a booth announcer.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_19]: The one who says, you know, this is the guy at the end of the prices, right?
- 28:44[SPEAKER_19]: That's a booth announcer, I don't have that anymore.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_19]: All AI now, so what?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_09]: Why is the taxpayer having to fund a zoo when they've recently got a $2 million blank check from the city taxpayer and where does the money go?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_09]: Does it keep the property up up there with a zoo with this new group people running in the zoo?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_09]: And also I got another comment about these other
- 29:21[SPEAKER_09]: tax increases with the state of the earth I'm opposed to it and I was opposed to the county tax increase here back in last year where I had about thirty dollars increase in property taxes and it wasn't happy but I paid it and my question is what is all this going to happen because I hear the state is going to increase tax is more and uh... they're giving uh... buffalo
- 29:49[SPEAKER_09]: a free buffalo bill city when i believe as a taxpayer that had buffalo uh... teams who'd have to pay for the same as themselves as they want because they take in millions and millions of dollars each year from people to go there and see the games uh... well he raises a lot of points there no doubt about it but after the lost that person but anyway i don't know what to answer his question
- 30:19[SPEAKER_19]: There are those who say, well, we can't just have a bunch of old people insisting that we never raise taxes and never have any quality of life, I think that's what Doc Kimball says.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_19]: You're next mayor, incidentally.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_19]: And I don't know what to say about it, but after dinner on the air, hey, man, how are you doing today?
- 30:38[SPEAKER_19]: Good.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_14]: You're talking about people talking about you or people talking about anybody else.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_14]: Remember what Joe name is said?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_14]: I knew what Joe name was years ago.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_14]: said when I read something the sports page about me when I absolutely pot to read no it's not true how could I believe anything is written in the front page either hmm yeah well that's true yeah yeah I just saw that out there okay it was great day thank you well Joe and aim at the course uh someone you should always listen to right
- 31:11[SPEAKER_19]: uh... it's uh... time home and says he's going to flood the zone in the yorking cathy hockle doesn't like it time home and a native of new york says he's going to crack down on illegals and cathy hockle who believes in illegals doesn't like it this are we a sanctuary area in other words
- 31:35[SPEAKER_19]: Do our police here assist for the patrol and ice in enforcing federal immigration law if needed?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_19]: I'm not saying that's the primary role, because the governor says, well, local police funded by local tax dollars, they're just, you know, fight crime and domestic and burglaries.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_19]: Yes, they are, but our police here forbidden from cooperating with Mr. Holman, what about
- 32:06[SPEAKER_19]: Are they forbidden from helping out?
- 32:08[SPEAKER_19]: In other words, if there was a round-up of aliens and there was some trouble, would the police respond even?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_19]: They say, sanctuary state, I don't really know what that means.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_19]: Does that mean that water towns are sanctuary community by extension?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_19]: Is anybody know?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_19]: No.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_19]: Not somebody would know.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_19]: Well, it's amazing what people don't know in life, isn't it?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, well, 755, 1240, or phone number, if you'd like to be on the show of shows today, the show you chose to listen to during this new hour.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_19]: There you go.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_19]: Let's see.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_19]: six in ten employees are hesitant to speak up at works as a survey are you hesitant to speak up at work about what i don't know where you should speak up lightly yeah you don't go up to a boss here i could own this place of i didn't bother you know no no but you know you're probably could but uh... with a crazy
- 33:33[SPEAKER_19]: people in charge, but now I shouldn't be afraid to speak up.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_19]: Although I wouldn't say anything critical here, if I had a criticism of the front office, I'd just keep it to myself.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_19]: Right.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_19]: But after noon, you're on the air.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_13]: You know, the question of a home and ice cooperation, that's not the real question.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_13]: The real question is, why does an ice follow the law?
- 34:01[SPEAKER_13]: and have a long, if they want to search someone's property, they're home.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_13]: If why are they still wearing masks, and why are they heavily armed like the militia, and yanking people out of schools, out of churches of jobs, on the way to work in hospitals, and even grabbing people that are at the government office, making a appointment that they're supposed to do, as an undocumented person here are,
- 34:27[SPEAKER_13]: a temporary person seeking asylum.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_13]: Whenever they are, maybe you can't get out of there, we've seen the attack everybody.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_13]: So that's the question.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_13]: Is not cooperating with them.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_13]: It's been cooperating with them.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_19]: So, I remember.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_19]: You said they're blocking them out of the schools.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_19]: What schools?
- 34:45[SPEAKER_19]: Termin Street School, Nicarbaca, or what school?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_13]: You remember a little boy was a bunny head on what had been going to school?
- 34:51[UNKNOWN]: Kevin Gordon?
- 34:52[SPEAKER_19]: Where's that?
- 34:54[UNKNOWN]: I don't remember what state it was in, but it was all over the news.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_13]: It caught a little funny boy.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_13]: It has a blue bunny hat all over the years.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_13]: It took him into custody.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_13]: They've taken pregnant women out of their cars.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_13]: They've taken people out of their cars on the way to make an appointment.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_13]: They've taken people, as I said, out of a government office who were there with a scheduled appointment to meet with a...
- 35:16[SPEAKER_19]: Well, you know, yeah, but I mean, if you obey the law, I mean, I, I'm, uh, I'm older than dirt nobody's ever taking me out of my car or taking me off the street or taking me off a bar stool or anything else.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_13]: Because you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't, you don't, you, you've got the right color, but direct Jeff.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_13]: You, you, you, you know, you're, you're really twisting this.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_19]: That's why I'm too mailed and too pale.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_13]: I should be abandoned or re-organized to fit the law in the land.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_19]: So you think that those of us who support Tom Holman, that were somehow happy those two people were killed in Minneapolis.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_19]: I'm not happy over it.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_13]: I didn't say support Tom Holman, I said supporting ICE and cooperating with ICE.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_13]: That's both.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_13]: ICE has to cooperate with the laws of this country and the procedures.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_13]: And they are not.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_13]: Okay.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_13]: I told you the two or three things.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_13]: They go into people's houses without watch.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_19]: Well, then you have to vote in a new president.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_19]: That's the remedy.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_19]: That's the remedy for your problem.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_19]: A new president, you tried the last time, and you couldn't get it across the finish line.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_19]: Gotta try harder next time.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_13]: And what we've got to try is to make sure that Congress does their duty and they get some legislation out there to say, I need to be reformed to do that.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_13]: They've got to think they don't wear masks.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_19]: Don't look to Congress to do anything.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_19]: They don't do anything anyway.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_13]: They don't know if they can go into people's houses without a warrant or without a reason.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_13]: Right.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_13]: There's all kinds of things.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_13]: And for you to support ICE, the way that you are, all those statements that you just
- 37:10[SPEAKER_13]: It's really, it's a little bit disappointing, Jeff.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_13]: That's not how I suppose to be.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_13]: They're not the militia, or, I don't know what's what I call, or maybe you have someone, but they're not out of culprit government agencies in the way that they're acting and have conducted themselves.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_13]: Now, if they've got an endo need to do, they should do their duty at the border and not in major cities, look for people to pick up this, that have to be
- 37:35[SPEAKER_19]: Oh my god, brown people, you know.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_19]: Alrighty, well Danny, I got to run, I got to crawl coming in.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_19]: Thank you.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, sure.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_19]: I know.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_19]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_15]: How you doing?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_19]: Good.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_15]: Good.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_15]: That's good.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_15]: Uh, just listening to the show actually listening to your previous scholar.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_15]: You know, talk about how the system should do this and they should do that.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_15]: I have personal experience to why things are the way they are.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_15]: why I used as the way they are, why they wear masks, they're all against a law, okay?
- 38:09[SPEAKER_15]: They're all against an 8.1 billion dollar industry in Oregon Harvesting right here on the Northern Border right here, the Northern Border Cartel's.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_15]: If you don't do your research then you haven't been personally affected by it and I have, okay?
- 38:25[SPEAKER_15]: I lost a son to a hot, what's called a hot shot, okay?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, and he was, and where he lived was Sanchez Harbor, New York.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, we're not talking about some distant problem.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_15]: We're talking about a problem right here in Walden Town, New York, right here in Jefferson County.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_15]: Right?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_15]: Human trafficking is such trafficking as horrible in this country.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_15]: And I, Mr. Herman, Mr. Herman, is teaching a grab a hold of it.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_15]: That's how pretty it is.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_15]: So people are trying to blame one man.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_15]: This is horrible.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_15]: It's just blinded by what's going on in this country.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_15]: Then I can see how you can see it from that perspective.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_15]: Look, there are some really bad things going on, man.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_15]: And just think of it as an objective, personally.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_15]: Don't think that means it's not happening.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_15]: The wing masks, though, that the northern border cut down in the southern border cut down, don't go through families.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_15]: They kill their children.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_15]: And they find out that you're involved in trying to stop it, if you're trying to stop or in harvesting, if you're trying to stop, you know, sign off and coming into this country, they won't kill your family.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_15]: Mm-hmm.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_15]: Okay.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_15]: That's what they'll do.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_15]: They'll kill your family.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_15]: They come into your kids.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_15]: They don't want you to die.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_15]: They want you to suffer because you've got involved in their business.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_19]: I gotcha.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_19]: I gotcha.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_19]: All right.

- 43:16[SPEAKER_19]: One and all, it's a nice day outside.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_19]: Hey, Sunday is Mother's Day.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_19]: Now, I know for some of you, you figure it's a day where Mom should cook all the family, a good meal and everything.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_19]: and to sort of hone her motherly skills, but it's a good idea, take her out somewhere, okay?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know who's open.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_19]: Probably most places in town are closed, but it must be some, take her to red robin or something like that, okay?
- 43:44[SPEAKER_19]: And flowers, remember the old days when you used to be able to just, I could just text Scott Gray and they sent something from others day and you knew where she lived and everything and it was all done.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_19]: Not that there aren't people out there now,
- 43:59[SPEAKER_19]: And that lady out there that Jen's backyard thing, I've ordered stuff from her, it looks great.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_19]: So no problem there, but it's just not the old days.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_19]: Now, how many of you send flowers to your mother on Mother's Day?
- 44:17[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know if some of you have lost your mom's and all of that.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_19]: I'm sure you wish you could send them flowers.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_19]: But how many do?
- 44:25[SPEAKER_19]: Hmm.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_19]: That's the, that's kind of a disappointment.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_19]: Nobody.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, I'm whatever happened to the old days.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_19]: What do you do for your mother on Mother's Day?
- 44:35[SPEAKER_19]: Anything?
- 44:38[SPEAKER_19]: Hmm.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_19]: I honestly don't know.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know what he says they do anything, so I assume they don't.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_19]: You take her out to dinner and you were a gift certificate to a spa.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_19]: So she can hook up with a couple of Asians, yeah, she's doing that.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_19]: And what do you do for Mother's Day?
- 45:03[SPEAKER_19]: Buy her some kitchen utensils so she can cook your better meals.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_19]: Women love getting those big mixers, you know, the big ones are kind of brightly colored.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_19]: I forget the name of women love getting those.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_19]: But other than that, I don't know if it's a good mother's thing, you get for your not.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_19]: And you don't need a holiday to give somebody a gift either.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_19]: Ah, let's see, what we got going on here.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_19]: So no one cares about mothers, all right.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_19]: And a city budget, nobody cares about that, you know, it's all nonsense at this point.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_19]: No, there's a call.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_19]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, Mayor.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_08]: Nice sunny day.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_08]: It's windy, but it's a nice sunny day.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_21]: Mm-hmm.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_08]: I just want to say about, I don't believe if ice is breaking any federal laws or any other kind of laws, they'd come after them with a bold load of lawyers, and they probably already are unlawful that and whatever else you want to come up with.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_08]: But, you know, I mean, you know, they're shooting them.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_08]: These guys are going into churches, trying to stop them two days ago, trying to go under church to protest, trying to go under church and assault people.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_08]: I never heard of why he's going in some church and trying to pull people out of church, missing that, and even if they did, I don't know.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_08]: But the point is, if they're here illegally, they shouldn't be voting.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_08]: They shouldn't be, you know, getting goes, well, they're coming to their houses without a warrant.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_08]: Well, a lot of they even all property, how can you, you know, what is it, what even they, they're legitimate tax person.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_08]: This isn't making me check.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's like, how old can you be?
- 46:56[SPEAKER_08]: And then it's other guy talking about a hot chat, and it's un-died.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sorry, but, you know, this administration's done more to stop batting off than anybody that you're talking about.

- 50:09[SPEAKER_19]: uh... high gas prices worry tourism businesses that be a is that a story channel sevens doing or they should be is it being easy way to take a shot at trump but no this is channel six and disconnected the albany area well i think the answer around that this is got to try to encourage people to stay closer to home to stay cations that kind of stuff yeah but basically a few planning a trip
- 50:40[SPEAKER_19]: eight or nine hundred miles one way let's say two thousand miles and let's say that's hundred gallons a gash of you and that's an extra buck and a half and that's hundred fifty dollars extra if you had that close to not being able to have a vacation better stay home anyway or just find you know
- 51:08[SPEAKER_19]: you're going to Disney World even a couple of kids behind you know take the ones you like the most who knows anyway there's a lot to be seen within a couple of hours of our area and uh... you know take them down to walk in the planner stuff like that or Cooper's down and a lot of things here right here in New York take on the roguer for take on the ride yeah you don't have to go way far away
- 51:38[SPEAKER_19]: Do what you got to do to adjust.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_19]: But boy, we're going to hear the stories coming up before my memorial day, but Trump's war is killing the tourism industry.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, instead of putting a happy face on it, say this is how we can overcome it, they'll chime right in.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_19]: Yep, chime right in.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_19]: Let's see what else is going on today.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_19]: We've got a few minutes left.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_19]: You can be on the show of shows.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_19]: How about this HANTA virus?
- 52:13[SPEAKER_19]: With the hell wants to get that on a boat and it never been big I know it's cruise things.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_19]: It's like a Petri dish or something.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_19]: You're on there with a bunch of sick people?
- 52:25[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know if we agree with that.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_19]: I don't believe I don't, I don't think they Clinton said him killed, it wasn't at it.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_19]: I don't really know, no.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_19]: And who do we believe in all of it?
- 52:55[SPEAKER_19]: I was watching Spectrum this morning, I see the governor up there, the headlines says governor announces 200 and whatever it is, billion dollar deal.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_19]: And then I read all these stories that
- 53:07[SPEAKER_19]: It's not a deal.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_19]: The assembly speaker, Mr. Hastie, claims, yeah, that they haven't reached a deal.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_19]: Of course, you know, the governor has got to make her friend Zorhan Mamdami happy.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_19]: So, the Pita tear tax is going to be in there for the city.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_19]: I don't know if they're going to extend it to upstate yet.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_19]: we would like to see that happen because we want to see the billionaires and million areas and big corporate interests pay because they promised it would go to local governments and so we're in favor of it.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_19]: It won't affect you or I. Yeah, none of us have multimillion dollars second homes.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_19]: So what are we care?
- 54:01[SPEAKER_19]: Tax the bad
- 54:04[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, it's New York, New York, with the Empire State, we can do whatever we want.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_19]: Okay, all right, 755, 1240, the phone number, five minutes left on the show of shows.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_19]: And, um, go from there.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_19]: Now, most of you are voting for Kathy Hokel for Governor, right?
- 54:28[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, I think most of you are, or not voting at all,
- 54:34[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, half the county doesn't vote and half of the half that's left votes for locals and then we said, well, why'd she win?
- 54:43[SPEAKER_19]: Do good afternoon here on the air.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_18]: You haven't been afternoon.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_18]: Yeah, well, where do you live that you don't that you're so unaware of what goes on?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, prostrate.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_18]: You don't think that all those places up in the thousands of owns are worth over a million dollars or all those places along Lake Ontario or Henderson?
- 55:07[SPEAKER_19]: Well, if they're owned by out of stateers, make them pay.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_18]: Well, of course they are a lot of mar, but I mean, you don't think that that's going to affect things.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_18]: If they start doing that, they'll get rid of them, but then then all of a sudden the price will drop.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_19]: Hmm.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_19]: Ah, they'll just pay it.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_18]: Yeah.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_18]: I don't know, there's a lot more places, you know, I need to, you can go anywhere in the world now, so I mean it's not a big deal.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_19]: But it doesn't really matter, do you think there's anybody in Jefferson County who knows what the term PETA chair means?
- 55:41[SPEAKER_19]: No, the answer is no.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_16]: Who?
- 55:43[SPEAKER_18]: A few.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_19]: Like who?
- 55:46[SPEAKER_19]: I bet you the mayor doesn't know.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_18]: For you, who?
- 55:50[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, I looked it up.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_19]: Oh, yeah.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_18]: Well, a lot of people are listening to the outline, no one now.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_19]: Well, that's good.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_19]: They're informed.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_18]: Oh, that's great.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_19]: I would say I don't think anybody in the city council knows at the county ledge.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_18]: But it's the stupidity of, you know, it's like that one caller that called.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_18]: He's got a problem with the issue.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_18]: And he makes up stories and says, you know, he has three situations.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_18]: But he couldn't tell you where they happened.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_18]: And, you know, they just, uh,
- 56:21[SPEAKER_18]: I was just bad because they go into churches made all that stuff up but there were people he did up on that side just like this here I mean they don't get the real world that if you're a multi-millionaire you're going to go anywhere you want to go and lift and a lot of people today work from their homes they can go anywhere they want and they start their jobs well they might like it up here what they were coming up here but if you're going to pass
- 56:52[SPEAKER_18]: well how much more why don't you don't you look at these pit places where they bought out colleges and put your you know built beautiful homes on oh yeah evening even in sleepy louis county there's some real high day high at homes up in the hinterlands yeah yeah sure there is you know i i don't want to understand why the city work on just doesn't play the game the the you guys played years ago where you
- 57:17[SPEAKER_18]: you lower the tax rate but you raise the assessments and then you tell everybody you did all this wonderful things.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_19]: Well that's not what we did but.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_18]: Well that you did raise the assessments and remember we went that you went to full assessment for a value assessment.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_19]: Well all places change the assessments change everywhere doff even out in your blessed town there.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_19]: You know they you've got an assessor out there.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_19]: I don't I listen I I
- 57:45[SPEAKER_19]: Well, as an elected official, you cannot instruct that the assessments go up.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_19]: But I don't necessarily, uh, it's the tax lever you have to look at, not the rate.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_19]: And they're hung up on it.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_19]: They can't, you know, why can't, why can't the town there get that road approved for that new stewards?
- 58:10[SPEAKER_18]: I have no idea.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_19]: He's just going on.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_18]: Yeah, understand why.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_18]: they could pass a law or a guy as they tell him how he could run his business and then his part of the deal i mean that that the whole thing there i mean i know you weren't there for that but oh my god i just i mean the more you heard of the more you just shook your head and said well how can i do this what what law was that world are we in what's that what law was that the deed the deed restriction on ibs oh my god that's great putting together all that stuff that was all done for their benefit i mean it's
- 58:44[SPEAKER_18]: I'm sorry for the taskers in the city wiretongue.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_18]: I just went to a big time.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_18]: I'm telling you.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, you know.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_18]: There's no one to see as a bunch of them.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_19]: I mean, the city's going to end up with one nine hole course when this is over.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_18]: And then when you're all setting down, well, well, the golf course we didn't really want it.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_18]: We just, when we paid the millions of dollars for some barren wait.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_19]: Parkland.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_19]: They call it Parkland.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, yeah, only a parkland up there.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_18]: Well, yeah, yeah, it really is, I mean, part of the original, it was part of the original stream that time's in the head.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_18]: I wanted to see the documentation on that.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, I don't know what was going on.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_19]: Well, we'll see.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_19]: We'll see what happens, but okay, well, thanks, stuff.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_18]: All righty, you have a great weekend.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_19]: Thanks, my
- 59:38[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, I don't claim to understand all that stuff with deed restrictions and all that.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_19]: Maybe someday we'll get a Philadelphia lawyer in here to explain it.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_19]: Philadelphia in New York, that is, maybe, Eddie.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_19]: That's our show for today.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_19]: Hope you enjoyed it.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_19]: And I did too, and we'll be back tomorrow with more of the same.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_19]: On this committee, Burke can't stay stationary.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_19]: I'm 1240 WHTN Water Town.
