- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know hey good morning bit
- 0:03Speaker 1: past six o'clock a bit past six.
- 0:05Speaker 2: O'clock i was running late it's a whole story that
- 0:08Speaker 2: i'll get into.
- 0:08Speaker 1: A little bit later but we're here ricky's here i'm
- 0:11Speaker 1: here and she's got those three things you need to
- 0:12Speaker 1: know presented by mark spain real estate.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Actor Tim Curry, best known for his role in the
- 0:17Speaker 3: Rocky Horror Picture Show, has passed away at the age
- 0:19Speaker 3: of 80. While Tim was best known for Rocky Horror
- 0:22Speaker 3: Picture Show, he had a lot of other notable roles,
- 0:25Speaker 3: including Pennywise in the 1998 movie, and as a hotel
- 0:29Speaker 3: manager in Home Alone 2, Lost in New York. Sources
- 0:32Speaker 3: told TMZ that he passed away late Tuesday night in
- 0:35Speaker 3: his Los Angeles home. He had been unfortunately battling a
- 0:39Speaker 3: few health issues for quite a while, looks like for
- 0:42Speaker 3: a decade. Our thoughts are with him and his family
- 0:45Speaker 3: right now, all of the people who loved his work. Obviously,
- 0:48Speaker 3: it's just so rough right now. It seems like it's
- 0:50Speaker 3: one after another after another. It's just really, really hard
- 0:53Speaker 3: right now. So our thoughts are with everybody. There is
- 0:57Speaker 3: a petition to rename BNA after Dolly Parton. More than 70,000
- 1:01Speaker 3: signatures have been added to the Change.org petition since her passing.
- 1:07Speaker 3: It was created in January 2025, but obviously because of
- 1:11Speaker 3: all of the events of recently and her passing, it
- 1:14Speaker 3: has gained traction and it's been collecting just hundreds of
- 1:17Speaker 3: thousands of signatures by the hour at this point. The
- 1:20Speaker 3: petition asks Governor Lee and three members of Tennessee House
- 1:23Speaker 3: of Representatives to make the change. We'll see if that
- 1:27Speaker 3: actually happens. I'm all for it personally. I don't know
- 1:30Speaker 3: a singular person who's against it. So let's see what happens.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Maybe we'll have a new name for BNA. Mountain Dew
- 1:38Speaker 3: body wash and soap is now a thing. Don't ask
- 1:42Speaker 3: me why, but it is. Men's grooming company Duke Cannon
- 1:46Speaker 3: has teamed up with Mountain Dew for a line of
- 1:48Speaker 3: different products, okay? So the scented body wash and soap
- 1:51Speaker 3: pucks are now available at select Walmarts. And customers who
- 1:55Speaker 3: have been able to use it say that it actually
- 1:56Speaker 3: genuinely smells like the soda. I don't know why you
- 1:59Speaker 3: would want to smell like Mountain.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Dew, but hey, you do you, boo.
- 2:02Speaker 3: This has nothing to do with me. So if you
- 2:05Speaker 3: want to do that, go ahead. Fans thought it was AI.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Turns out it's 100% real. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those
- 2:11Speaker 3: are the three things you need to know.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I feel like you'd be sticky.
- 2:13Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I just feel like you'd be covered in soda.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Even though you know it's not soda.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel sticky just hearing about it. It's weird.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, here we go. Getting back into the music.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Thank you for that, Ricky. Here's Dominic Fyke. It's Babydoll.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Start things up on this Thursday morning. Appreciate you being
- 2:27Speaker 1: here with us.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's The River.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:30Speaker 1: That's Ariana Grande. It's The River starting our day with Juanita.
- 2:35Speaker 1: She is in Gainesboro right now. Juanita, what are you doing?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Tell us everything about your morning.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Getting the kids ready for school.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Which can be a task in and of itself, I'm sure.
- 2:45Speaker 3: How many kids do you have?
- 2:46Speaker 4: Four.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Four kiddos. Four?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Are they all in school now or are some of
- 2:50Speaker 1: them still too young?
- 2:51Speaker 3: So one of them just went on the bus. The
- 2:53Speaker 3: other three are in high school.
- 2:55Speaker 5: And then one of them is turning 16 today. She's 16.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Happy birthday. What's her name?
- 3:01Speaker 7: Yeah, Bella.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Bella. So I got up super early to decorate. Oh,
- 3:05Speaker 3: that's so sweet. My mom used to always, we had
- 3:08Speaker 3: this big mirror in our living room and she would
- 3:10Speaker 3: always write happy birthday messages to us on our birthday.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And I always thought that was so cute.
- 3:14Speaker 1: That's very sweet. What are your plans then to celebrate
- 3:19Speaker 1: the 16th?
- 3:20Speaker 8: We're going to take her to do her drive test.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Oh my God, that's right.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Gulp.
- 3:26Speaker 6: I know.
- 3:28Speaker 3: This is huge, Juanita. How are you feeling about it?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Are you excited? Are you nervous? Excited.
- 3:33Speaker 6: A little nervous.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I ain't gonna lie.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Well, she can't be worse than most of those drivers
- 3:37Speaker 2: out there.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Kevin's one of them, so she can't be worse than Kevin.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, no.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Do you want me to teach her?
- 3:45Speaker 1: I'm happy to teach her.
- 3:46Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Kevin was late today because he had a flat tire,
- 3:50Speaker 3: and I blame him. He definitely ran something over.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Probably.
- 3:53Speaker 8: Juanita, you know what?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Enough about me. You're the first caller of the day.
- 3:57Speaker 7: Yay! Yay!
- 3:59Speaker 3: I'm so excited. Congrats, love. You got a four-packet ticket
- 4:03Speaker 3: to the national fair.
- 4:04Speaker 7: Yay, I've never been. Oh, awesome.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You're going to have a great time. Choose one kid
- 4:08Speaker 1: that you're going to leave at home and take the
- 4:10Speaker 1: other three and it's going to be great. Oh, Kevin.
- 4:13Speaker 8: Maybe I'll leave the husband at home.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Juanita's like, no, no, no, no. You got to take
- 4:19Speaker 3: them all. You have four tickets now, though, which is great.
- 4:22Speaker 3: So now you have one less thing that you have
- 4:24Speaker 3: to worry about. If you only have to pay for
- 4:25Speaker 3: one ticket, not a big deal. But we are so
- 4:27Speaker 3: excited for you. You're going to love the fair.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Oh, thank you.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Real quick, before we let you go here, we're just
- 4:34Speaker 1: going to say happy birthday to Bella from everybody over
- 4:37Speaker 1: here at the room.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yay!
- 4:39Speaker 6: Oh, I still love that.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Sweet 16.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And she's going to do great today on her test.
- 4:43Speaker 6: She will.
- 4:44Speaker 3: She will. All right, love, I'm going to put you
- 4:45Speaker 3: on hold for a second and come back to you.
- 4:46Speaker 3: We've got to get some info from you, okay?
- 4:48Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Another chance to win them.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Another four-pack tomorrow morning.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Unfortunately, I'm known around here as being the person that's
- 4:55Speaker 3: always late to absolutely everything. But today, it wasn't me.
- 5:00Speaker 3: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 5:02Speaker 3: The River.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Kevin.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Was late today, but you also actually had an excuse
- 5:08Speaker 3: for it. Tell everybody what happened to you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Well, first of all, I mean, it started like any
- 5:12Speaker 1: other morning, but then I was on the highway for
- 5:13Speaker 1: like five minutes, and there.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Was a high-speed chase next to me, which was insane.
- 5:18Speaker 3: That's nuts.
- 5:19Speaker 1: There was a car going, I mean, had to be
- 5:21Speaker 1: going over 100 miles an hour, and there had to
- 5:23Speaker 1: be eight cops chasing him, and he was Showing no
- 5:27Speaker 1: signs of slowing down.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So we're going to see how that one plays out.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Those are always so fascinating to me. Because I don't
- 5:31Speaker 3: know the protocols, but they seem so insane when they're
- 5:34Speaker 3: actually happening.
- 5:35Speaker 1: It seems like there are no protocols.
- 5:36Speaker 7: Right?
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And like the spike strips. Why not just deploy the
- 5:41Speaker 1: spike strips earlier?
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't really get it, honestly. But anyways, that's
- 5:45Speaker 3: besides the fact. There was a high-speed chase around you.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And then it felt as if I went over spike
- 5:50Speaker 1: strips because then like a couple minutes later, I had
- 5:53Speaker 1: a flat tire. That sucks. And I was just on
- 5:55Speaker 1: the highway driving to work. I have like a 30
- 5:57Speaker 1: minute drive every morning and I had to just pull
- 5:59Speaker 1: over at the next exit and pull into a random
- 6:00Speaker 1: parking lot and fully flip. It was like chewed up.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Like there were like big chunks of tire missing.
- 6:06Speaker 3: That's crazy because that means that it's not just something
- 6:08Speaker 3: that was small that you ran over there, Kevin. You
- 6:10Speaker 3: ran over something quite large.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I don't know why you think it had to be me.
- 6:14Speaker 1: This could have been my wife.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Kevin is a horrible driver, so I just assumed that
- 6:18Speaker 3: it was him that did this.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So, yeah, I pulled over. I got into my car.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I was just sitting there. I got an Uber.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Thankfully, he showed up quite quickly to get me here when.
- 6:27Speaker 3: He got me here. Thank God, yeah. You were only
- 6:30Speaker 3: a little bit late. You could have been way, way
- 6:33Speaker 3: later than you were. Luckily, it worked out.
- 6:35Speaker 2: But I will say, when we got here, technical difficulties,
- 6:39Speaker 2: of course.
- 6:39Speaker 1: So we're struggling to do some more stuff. But you
- 6:42Speaker 1: know what?
- 6:42Speaker 3: You're having a day.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Here's my PSA. All these things happen. I'm still smiling.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Let's just, you know, you got to get through it.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That's life. Things happen.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's not always smooth.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I like you, Kevin. Stay positive. You are being very
- 6:53Speaker 3: positive this morning and it's almost kind of freaking me out.
- 6:55Speaker 1: What else can you do? You know, being negative, being
- 6:57Speaker 1: in a bad mood, that's going to accomplish absolutely nothing
- 6:59Speaker 1: for me.
- 7:00Speaker 7: I'm with you.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I totally agree. But it's just it's very new, I
- 7:04Speaker 3: guess you could say. So I'm proud of you.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It's just to prevent me from snapping.
- 7:08Speaker 2: So you got to do what you got to do.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Three things you need to know.
- 7:11Speaker 1: A bit past 7 o'clock here on this Thursday morning.
- 7:14Speaker 1: So happy you're here with us. Ricky Sanchez has those
- 7:17Speaker 1: three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 7:19Speaker 3: There's a rumor around Hollywood that Ryan Gosling is developing
- 7:22Speaker 3: a live-action Bam Bam movie. This Flintstones live-action reboot is
- 7:28Speaker 3: apparently going to be focused mostly on Bam Bam, obviously.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And the project looks like it's just looking for a
- 7:33Speaker 3: writer right now. The character grew up in the Flintstones spinoff,
- 7:37Speaker 3: The Pebbles and Bam Bam Show back in 1971. He's
- 7:40Speaker 3: the adopted son of Barney and Betty Rubble. I did
- 7:43Speaker 3: not know that he was adopted.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I didn't either until right now.
- 7:45Speaker 3: This is like new news for me, but we'll see
- 7:47Speaker 3: if this actually comes through. I'm curious if Ryan Gosling
- 7:51Speaker 3: is the one who's going to play Bam Bam.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yeah, grown up Bam Bam.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Which he's phenomenal and very funny. So I feel like
- 7:57Speaker 3: he could do it, especially after his performance as Ken.
- 8:00Speaker 3: If he's going to play Bam Bam, I'm in. Cookville
- 8:03Speaker 3: Salon is offering $ 35 Dolly blowouts as a fundraiser. This
- 8:08Speaker 3: is so great. Lave Lamp Salon's Dolly blowouts are going
- 8:13Speaker 3: to happen on Monday, August 31st. Guests are encouraged to
- 8:16Speaker 3: stop by in their best Dolly Parton-inspired outfits. The event's
- 8:20Speaker 3: going to be first-come, first-served. They have three or four
- 8:22Speaker 3: stylists that are going to be available to take clients.
- 8:25Speaker 3: And $ 5 from every blowout is going to be donated
- 8:27Speaker 3: to Dolly Parton's foundation. So it's a great way to
- 8:30Speaker 3: donate to Dolly, to, you know, honor her. And I
- 8:33Speaker 3: love that they're doing this. I feel like it's so fun,
- 8:35Speaker 3: the idea of getting a Dolly blowout and dressing up
- 8:38Speaker 3: like her. Just such a great way to honor such
- 8:40Speaker 3: a great person.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Agreed.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I love that.
- 8:42Speaker 3: And the NFL is ending the Pro Bowl game. League
- 8:45Speaker 3: executives told owners that there will no longer be a
- 8:48Speaker 3: standalone game. Starting this season, 88 players will receive the
- 8:51Speaker 3: Pro Bowl honor. And in place of the games, they're
- 8:54Speaker 3: going to be invited to Los Angeles for an in-person
- 8:56Speaker 3: celebration in February. Pro Bowlers will be selected on ballots
- 9:00Speaker 3: cast by fans, players, and coaches. They're just kind of
- 9:03Speaker 3: getting rid of the games. It just wasn't as competitive
- 9:06Speaker 3: as it used to be. So they're doing away with it.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 9:11Speaker 3: need to know.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Thank you, Ricky. Appreciate you. We've got a lot going on.
- 9:15Speaker 1: We've got Shabuzy tickets on the way with the game
- 9:17Speaker 1: of the day.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You can win those in about 40 minutes. That's coming.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Also, a fact, right after Bruno Mars, Zach is out today.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So it's Zach's Facts presented by Kevin Mano. I've got you.
- 9:26Speaker 1: We're learning together next.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Class is in session.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:33Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Zach is out today, so I, Kevin Mano, am filling
- 9:38Speaker 1: in with the fact my daughter is trying to talk
- 9:40Speaker 1: us into getting a cat. So when I saw this,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I flagged it. I wanted to share this. Cats are
- 9:44Speaker 1: the serial killers of the animal world.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Okay, great. Is that because they kill birds and stuff?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Well, free-ranging cats have caused or contributed to the global
- 9:54Speaker 1: extinction of 33 species.
- 9:57Speaker 7: Whoa.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yes, they're responsible for 14% percent of modern bird mammal
- 10:01Speaker 1: and reptile extinctions they are murderers.
- 10:05Speaker 2: That's insane i know i know that.
- 10:07Speaker 3: You're telling me mr meowgi is a serial killer.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's my neighbor's cat who comes over to our house
- 10:12Speaker 1: all the time and that's exactly what i'm saying wow
- 10:15Speaker 1: mind blown there's your fact of the day Thanks, Kev.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 10:20Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I need some professional parents to call right now. 615-737-9107.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Is a professional parent a thing?
- 10:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I just have too many questions. I was telling Ricky
- 10:31Speaker 1: about babysitter etiquette, how we can't.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Really ask friends if we can use their babysitter.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Which doesn't make sense to me.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Because you're kind of.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Like stealing the baby. I want to know what the
- 10:40Speaker 1: protocol is here, if it is okay to borrow a
- 10:43Speaker 1: babysitter from friends.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Okay, I don't have any kids, so I'm kind of
- 10:46Speaker 3: just like out here with the reasonable logical ideas, but
- 10:50Speaker 3: I'll share my thoughts as well, even though mine don't matter. First,
- 10:53Speaker 3: let's hear from the parents. 615-737-9107. Are you allowed to
- 10:58Speaker 3: take someone's babysitter and use them for your kids?
- 11:01Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:04Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Can you ask your friends to use their babysitter? It's Ricky, Zach,
- 11:10Speaker 3: and Mano in the morning on 107.5 The River. Kevin
- 11:13Speaker 3: is wondering, you know, how the protocol works for this,
- 11:16Speaker 3: and he asked for professional parents, and we found one.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's Allie and Gallatin. What do you think about this?
- 11:21Speaker 8: No, because you're stealing their babysitter, and you're potentially taking
- 11:26Speaker 8: the date night and the free time away from your friends.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 8: Because they're the ones that shared that information with you.
- 11:33Speaker 6: Hmm.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I feel like, though, hear me out, you should be
- 11:38Speaker 1: able to do it as long as you check with
- 11:41Speaker 1: them before you, like, try to schedule this babysitter.
- 11:44Speaker 3: I agree.
- 11:45Speaker 8: Or you could say, hey, we could try to book
- 11:48Speaker 8: them together. You don't even have to spend time with
- 11:50Speaker 8: your friends that night if.
- 11:51Speaker 3: You want to do your own thing.
- 11:52Speaker 8: You could try to share the babysitter. And that sometimes
- 11:56Speaker 8: they increase the price, but it would lower it for
- 11:58Speaker 8: each of you guys individually.
- 12:00Speaker 3: That's a good idea. You really are a professional parent, Allie.
- 12:03Speaker 8: Thank you. And if the kids are friends too, like
- 12:06Speaker 8: they'd get along and it would be a fun environment
- 12:09Speaker 8: for the kids to also kind of take care of
- 12:10Speaker 8: themselves and make it easier for the babysitter.
- 12:13Speaker 2: This is a great idea.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I mean, some of the kids that are coming to
- 12:16Speaker 1: mind are a little insane that.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I don't necessarily want.
- 12:19Speaker 8: Oh, mine too.
- 12:20Speaker 2: You know, but yeah, I like what you're, I like
- 12:22Speaker 2: this idea.
- 12:23Speaker 8: Yeah, my kid's so insane, we don't do outside babysitters.
- 12:26Speaker 8: That's what sister and Nana's.
- 12:28Speaker 3: For. Allie, I love your honesty. We appreciate you so much.
- 12:33Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Thank you for calling in this morning. We hope you
- 12:35Speaker 3: have a great day.
- 12:36Speaker 8: You too.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Bye.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Bye, love.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Let's go with Abby now in Franklin. Abby, how old
- 12:40Speaker 1: are you?
- 12:41Speaker 5: I'm 22.
- 12:42Speaker 7: 22.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Do you have kids or are you a babysitter? Where
- 12:44Speaker 2: do you stand here?
- 12:45Speaker 8: I'm a professional nanny.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Ooh. Okay.
- 12:48Speaker 3: So now we get the other side. We just heard
- 12:50Speaker 3: from a parent. Now we get to hear from the nanny.
- 12:52Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 12:54Speaker 5: So you can never, from my experience, outright ask somebody like, hey.
- 12:57Speaker 8: Can I use your babysitter?
- 12:58Speaker 3: Because then they're going to get a little possessive about it.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 8: But like, If you come at it with a different question, like, hey,
- 13:04Speaker 8: do you have the number of anyone you would recommend?
- 13:06Speaker 8: Then if they're willing to stay with you, they will.
- 13:09Speaker 8: And if they're not, they'll be like, no, sorry, I
- 13:11Speaker 8: don't have anybody good.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Okay, so it's all about wording. It's about the way
- 13:14Speaker 2: you phrase it.
- 13:15Speaker 8: If you're saying, hey, I want to use your babysitter,
- 13:17Speaker 8: they're going to be like, well, no, because I want
- 13:19Speaker 8: to use my babysitter.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Abby, as a nanny, do you worry about this? Like
- 13:24Speaker 3: that you may not get as many clients necessarily if
- 13:27Speaker 3: they're not willing to, you know, talk you up because
- 13:31Speaker 3: these parents talking you up and saying, I have the
- 13:33Speaker 3: best nanny to ever exist. And then kind of showing
- 13:36Speaker 3: you off to everybody means that you then get more clients.
- 13:38Speaker 3: But if they don't let that happen, you may lose
- 13:41Speaker 3: out on money.
- 13:42Speaker 8: I mean, sometimes it has been a worry because people
- 13:44Speaker 8: do get kind of possessive over their nannies. But I mean,
- 13:48Speaker 8: I'm full time, so it's not like.
- 13:49Speaker 6: I have time to go anywhere else.
- 13:51Speaker 3: I see. I see.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 13:52Speaker 3: You got a good gig then.
- 13:54Speaker 8: Yes.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yes, I do.
- 13:55Speaker 7: I'm very lucky.
- 13:55Speaker 4: All right, Abby.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That's good. Thank you for this. It's nice to talk
- 13:59Speaker 1: to you and get your perspective on this. So you
- 14:01Speaker 1: kind of let the other people offer up their babysitter
- 14:04Speaker 1: instead of just asking outright if you can use them.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Thank you. Appreciate you calling. Yeah, thank you.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Have a great day, love.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Bye.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And now, Ricky, as a non-parent, as a rational human being,
- 14:14Speaker 1: what would you have thought?
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah, see, I have no skin in the game here
- 14:17Speaker 3: whatsoever because I have no kids. My thought was if
- 14:21Speaker 3: I have someone who I think is amazing and is
- 14:24Speaker 3: so great to my kids. I would want other kids
- 14:27Speaker 3: to experience that. I would want my friends' kids to
- 14:30Speaker 3: have a good babysitter and feel connected to them and
- 14:33Speaker 3: enjoy being with them because that's going to mean my
- 14:35Speaker 3: friends get to have a way more chill night out
- 14:38Speaker 3: and not have to stress and worry about, oh my God,
- 14:40Speaker 3: is the babysitter doing what I need her to do?
- 14:42Speaker 3: Are the kids happy? Are they crying? Are they going
- 14:44Speaker 3: to call me while I'm on my date night and
- 14:46Speaker 3: I'm two martinis in and they're hysterical because they hate
- 14:48Speaker 3: the babysitter?
- 14:50Speaker 7: Like, You know what I mean?
- 14:50Speaker 1: It's nice of you to think that way, but yes,
- 14:53Speaker 1: if it actually came to it and you were trying
- 14:55Speaker 1: to line up your babysitter and she was like, ooh, actually,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'm busy with the Larsons down the street.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You're like, what?
- 15:00Speaker 4: I told the Larsons.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Like, then you get a little angry.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I don't know that I would. But again, I don't
- 15:06Speaker 3: have any kids, so this is just me coming from
- 15:08Speaker 3: somebody with no kids and just fully logical thinking.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:13Speaker 3: We officially have our two contestants stepping in the ring
- 15:17Speaker 3: for title fight for Kevin Mano's Game of the Day
- 15:19Speaker 3: on 107.5 The River. Whoever wins is getting tickets to
- 15:23Speaker 3: see Shaboosie on September 18th at Ascend Amphitheater.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Will it be Ashley and Dixon?
- 15:27Speaker 2: Good morning, Ashley.
- 15:29Speaker 8: Good morning, you guys.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 15:31Speaker 1: You have a very lovely, soothing voice. How confident are
- 15:33Speaker 1: you feeling here? You feel awake?
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:35Speaker 8: I have two kids that have already been up into school,
- 15:37Speaker 8: so I've been awake forever.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Oh, good. Your brain is on. You're going to be
- 15:41Speaker 1: competing against Sarah in Smyrna. How are you, Sarah?
- 15:44Speaker 8: I'm good.
- 15:44Speaker 7: How are you?
- 15:45Speaker 4: Good.
- 15:45Speaker 2: You also have a very nice voice.
- 15:47Speaker 1: All right. This is good.
- 15:48Speaker 2: How are you feeling?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Are you awake?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Are you with it? Have you had coffee?
- 15:51Speaker 5: No coffee yet, but taking the oldest to school now.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Well, maybe the oldest can help you.
- 15:56Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Put us on speakerphone.
- 15:58Speaker 2: We always encourage teamwork.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I am going to give you guys song titles, okay?
- 16:02Speaker 1: All of the song titles will belong to one artist.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Whoever knows the artist can buzz in and identify the
- 16:08Speaker 1: artist first. You get a point. You got to get
- 16:10Speaker 1: two out of three of these. And your name is
- 16:13Speaker 1: your buzzer. So if you know it, Ashley, you yell Ashley. Sarah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: if you know it, you yell Sarah. Does that make sense?
- 16:18Speaker 7: Yes.
- 16:19Speaker 1: All right.
- 16:19Speaker 7: Okay.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I think everybody's ready.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Let's play the game. It starts right now.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Judas.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Love Game. Bloody Mary. Abracadabra. Ashley.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Is it Lady Gaga?
- 16:38Speaker 1: That's a point on the board for Ashley.
- 16:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:41Speaker 7: All right.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Zeri, you need this next one to stay in it, okay?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:44Speaker 1: All right. Drop Dead. Deja vu. Good for you. Driver's license.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Ashley.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Olivia Rodrigo.
- 17:01Speaker 1: That is also correct. You win. Sarah, I'm so sorry
- 17:05Speaker 1: this didn't work.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Out for you.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Thanks, though.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Have a great day.
- 17:10Speaker 1: It's better that it's not even close. Now you're not
- 17:12Speaker 1: going to be bummed about it. I truly believe that.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I don't know that we always say that, but Sarah,
- 17:16Speaker 3: we hope you have a great day.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I was about to say Olivia Rodrigo, and I should
- 17:22Speaker 5: have said it sooner.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I'm sorry, love. Thank you so much for playing along.
- 17:26Speaker 8: Thanks.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Bye.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I just think it's easier to swallow when it's a
- 17:30Speaker 2: blowout like that.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Congratulations, Ashley. You're going to see Shaboosie. Yay, I didn't
- 17:35Speaker 1: want to be too excited.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I felt trashy, but thank you.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Oh, Ashley, that's so sweet.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Felt trashy.
- 17:42Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Way to go. She's trying to be a good sport,
- 17:43Speaker 3: and I appreciate that. Congratulations again, Ashley. We are so
- 17:46Speaker 3: pumped for you. I'm going to put you on hold
- 17:48Speaker 3: for a second because I've got to get your info, okay? Perfect.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 17:52Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Hang on. We've had these tickets with this game all week.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Your last chance to get them comes tomorrow. Same time.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Be here.
- 17:59Speaker 7: Three things you need to know.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Welcome to Thursday. Sorry, I got super distracted.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Just after 8 o'clock, appreciate you being here. Ricky Sanchez
- 18:07Speaker 1: has those three things presented by MarksBain Real Estate.
- 18:10Speaker 3: We are continuing to honor Dolly Parton along with radio
- 18:13Speaker 3: and TV stations across the state. We're going to play
- 18:15Speaker 3: I Will Always Love You once I'm done with this segment.
- 18:17Speaker 3: We would love it if you could turn on your
- 18:19Speaker 3: headlights and sing along with us with others around Tennessee.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Everybody's going to be doing this at the same time,
- 18:24Speaker 3: so I'm going to do this very quickly. Netflix has
- 18:26Speaker 3: a new series called The Wonka's Golden Ticket. It's a
- 18:29Speaker 3: reality TV series with 12 contestants against one another for
- 18:32Speaker 3: a lifetime supply of money at stake. No idea how
- 18:35Speaker 3: much money that actually equals. It's essentially Squid Game with
- 18:38Speaker 3: a twist. And Gene Wilder's voice is going to be
- 18:41Speaker 3: playing Willy Wonka. It was recreated with AI with the
- 18:43Speaker 3: consent of his estate. Wonka's Golden Ticket premieres on Netflix
- 18:47Speaker 3: September 23rd with a two-part finale on September 30th. And
- 18:52Speaker 3: this is crazy, but it seems like minivans are coming back.
- 18:54Speaker 3: They're making a comeback.
- 18:56Speaker 4: U.S.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Minivan sales have jumped 21% in the last year with
- 18:59Speaker 3: buyers citing lower prices, better fuel economy, roomier interiors, and
- 19:03Speaker 3: easy access sliding doors. Large SUVs now cost an average
- 19:06Speaker 3: of more than $ 67, 000. which is insane, minivans are around $ 40, 000.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So it's just way more affordable for people. So they're
- 19:14Speaker 3: sticking to the minivans. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are
- 19:17Speaker 3: the three things you need to know. We're about to
- 19:19Speaker 3: play Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You. So like
- 19:21Speaker 3: I said, turn on your headlights, sing along, and just
- 19:25Speaker 3: honor and remember Dolly Parton together.
- 19:27Speaker 2: You ripped through those three things, Ricky. Thank you for that.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 19:30Speaker 6: Here we go.
- 19:30Speaker 1: To honor the one and only Dolly Parton.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Again, I think it's so cool that this is like
- 19:35Speaker 2: a statewide thing.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Statewide. Everybody in Tennessee listening at the same time.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's all for Dolly.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Turn it up.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Sing along. It's the river.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 19:44Speaker 3: We want to know the craziest thing that your ring
- 19:46Speaker 3: camera has ever caught. I see on my feed on
- 19:50Speaker 3: Instagram and TikTok at least two ring camera videos like
- 19:54Speaker 3: daily that pop up. You know what I mean? Like
- 19:56Speaker 3: it catches the craziest things. It's also unexpected for the
- 19:59Speaker 3: most part. Some people obviously script them, but the unexpected
- 20:02Speaker 3: ones are the best ones. So we want to hear
- 20:04Speaker 3: what you've caught because I need some laughs today.
- 20:07Speaker 1: If you have caught anything funny on your ring camera, 615-737-9107.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We want to hear. Please share. Here's Olivia Dean on
- 20:15Speaker 1: the river.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 20:18Speaker 4: 7-5 the river.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Mickey asked a moment ago if you've ever caught anything funny,
- 20:22Speaker 1: interesting on your ring doorbell camera. And appropriately, we have
- 20:27Speaker 1: Cam on the line right now. Cam, that name works
- 20:29Speaker 1: for this very well. Did you ever catch anything?
- 20:32Speaker 6: So the craziest thing I think I've caught now is
- 20:35Speaker 6: years ago when we had the Waffle House shooting, I
- 20:37Speaker 6: had a house in Antioch a couple blocks away. And
- 20:40Speaker 6: all of a sudden, my whole neighborhood got swarmed because
- 20:43Speaker 6: I lived so close to that Waffle House.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 20:46Speaker 6: And I was searching for the guy. The craziest thing
- 20:49Speaker 6: is it was night vision. So all the cops that, like,
- 20:51Speaker 6: were pounding on my door were, like, green with night vision.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 20:55Speaker 6: And one of them at some point looked up at
- 20:56Speaker 6: the camera and his eyes glowed in the dark.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Oh, I don't like that. You just sent, like, chills
- 21:01Speaker 3: down my spine. It was insane.
- 21:04Speaker 6: It was insane.
- 21:05Speaker 1: They kept.
- 21:06Speaker 8: That is a crazy story, and that had to be
- 21:07Speaker 8: just absolutely wild for you to experience that.
- 21:09Speaker 6: I do like a moment ago, Ricky was like, I
- 21:10Speaker 6: need a laugh this morning, Colin, and you go with
- 21:11Speaker 6: the worst possible story.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Kim, we know obviously you didn't do that on purpose.
- 21:32Speaker 3: That was just the craziest thing you've ever caught on
- 21:34Speaker 3: your ring camera. And for you, unfortunately, it wasn't a
- 21:37Speaker 3: funny story.
- 21:37Speaker 6: Yeah, but I'm glad I made y'all laugh.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Still laughed in the end.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Thank you for calling in, Kim. We appreciate you.
- 21:44Speaker 6: All right, y'all. Have a good one.
- 21:46Speaker 1: You too, buddy. Bye. I want to try this thing
- 21:48Speaker 1: with my kids. I've seen a couple of videos now
- 21:50Speaker 1: where people send their kids out to clean the ring
- 21:53Speaker 1: doorbell camera. Then you get all these videos of kids
- 21:56Speaker 1: like blowing on the camera.
- 21:59Speaker 2: It's very funny.
- 22:00Speaker 3: They are like such a weird phenomenon. Those ring cameras
- 22:04Speaker 3: and those doorbell cameras are just so strange, but they
- 22:07Speaker 3: do really catch some funny things. My favorite ones are
- 22:09Speaker 3: the ones of people falling.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Oh yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Like slipping and falling. And they always end up having
- 22:14Speaker 3: so much in their hands and it goes crazy. And
- 22:16Speaker 3: it's like watching a cartoon. It's insane.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I also, maybe it's just my feed, but I see
- 22:21Speaker 1: videos of guys like maybe let's say after a meal,
- 22:24Speaker 1: walking out of the front porch to, uh.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Let out a little gas.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 1: And then just go out there, do their thing, and
- 22:29Speaker 1: then turn back around and go back inside.
- 22:31Speaker 3: I've seen that.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Before, too.
- 22:33Speaker 3: If you've got a crazy ring camera story that you
- 22:37Speaker 3: want to share with us, maybe a funny one this time, maybe, possibly. Maybe, hopefully.
- 22:43Speaker 4: 615-737-9107. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 22:47Speaker 7: On 107.5 The River.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Brenna and Madison, what is the craziest thing that your
- 22:51Speaker 3: ring camera has ever caught?
- 22:53Speaker 5: So it's really cute. I live in a neighborhood that
- 22:56Speaker 5: I would never expect to see anything on, but we
- 22:59Speaker 5: actually had over the summer a little boy come and
- 23:03Speaker 5: ding-dong ditch us, which I thought was so funny because
- 23:06Speaker 5: it's a video camera.
- 23:10Speaker 3: That is the cutest thing ever. I am so happy
- 23:13Speaker 3: to hear the kids don't want to ding-dong-ditch, even if
- 23:15Speaker 3: they don't understand that they're going to get caught. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 3: it's not anonymous anymore.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I was like, oh, they still do it.
- 23:21Speaker 3: That was nice. That is a nice way to end
- 23:23Speaker 3: this whole conversation, because it started off kind of on
- 23:27Speaker 3: a negative note there, Brenna, but we appreciate you bringing
- 23:30Speaker 3: it back up again.
- 23:32Speaker 6: You're welcome.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Thank you for calling. You have a great day today.
- 23:35Speaker 7: Thank you, guys, too.
- 23:36Speaker 8: Bye.
- 23:37Speaker 7: Bye, love.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Not to bring it back down again, Ricky.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Oh, my God, Kevin. Every time.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I am nervous because my son has him and his
- 23:44Speaker 1: friend were like, we're going to go ding dong ditch.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And like, you don't know what people are capable of
- 23:48Speaker 2: these days.
- 23:49Speaker 1: You ring the wrong doorbell and somebody gets real mad
- 23:51Speaker 1: about a trespasser.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I mean, we didn't know that either when we were
- 23:54Speaker 3: doing it.
- 23:55Speaker 2: OK, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that.
- 23:57Speaker 3: It is funny, though, the idea that these kids are
- 23:59Speaker 3: doing it and not realizing that, like, it's captured.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. Every single door has a camera.
- 24:05Speaker 2: It's so cute.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Oh, that's so cute. I love it.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. Every day at.
- 24:11Speaker 1: This time, we play some audio from a video that
- 24:13Speaker 1: one of us finds, pops up in our feed or something.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It's 107.5 The River. We call it the Daily Double Tap.
- 24:18Speaker 1: And yeah, Ricky found this. It is an older video,
- 24:21Speaker 1: but it's making the rounds again right now, understandably. And
- 24:24Speaker 1: it's super cute.
- 24:25Speaker 3: I mean, it's this little girl. She's singing Jolene by
- 24:29Speaker 3: Dolly Parton, and it's the sweetest thing ever. It's just
- 24:31Speaker 3: going to make you smile.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And does she get the majority of the lyrics wrong?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Of course she does.
- 24:35Speaker 7: Yes.
- 24:36Speaker 1: That's what makes it so cute. She nails the Jolene part, though.
- 24:39Speaker 2: So here we go.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Here it is.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. It sounds like she says, please
- 24:57Speaker 3: don't take a nap.
- 24:58Speaker 4: I know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: That's not the same thing. I kind of want to
- 25:00Speaker 1: play it one more time. Here it is again.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Jolene!
- 25:03Speaker 7: Jolene! Jolene! Jolene! That's so cute.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Oh, I've got baby fever. Oh, every time, Kevin, every
- 25:21Speaker 3: time without fail. Just a really, really sweet thing. It
- 25:24Speaker 3: actually turns out that Dolly has seen that video.
- 25:27Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 25:27Speaker 3: That's what's in the caption. The mom said that it
- 25:29Speaker 3: did make its way to Dolly at some point, and
- 25:31Speaker 3: I'm sure that it warmed her heart and made her
- 25:33Speaker 3: so happy to see.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I hope that Dolly knew just how loved she was universally.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I mean, there's never been, I don't know, nobody's ever
- 25:42Speaker 1: had an impact like this, and I can remember at least.
- 25:45Speaker 3: I'm 100% with you on that, Kev.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
