- 0:01Charles: (laughing)
- 0:04Charles: You know what?
- 0:05Charles: I have some beef with one of the hosts of this show.
- 0:11Charles: Who possibly could it be?
- 0:12Charles: That's Christopher Lanphear.
- 0:14Charles: That's Christopher Roland Lanphear.
- 0:16Charles: Roland.
- 0:19Charles: Not because there was a mishap
- 0:22Charles: at the beginning of the show,
- 0:23Charles: right?
- 0:24Charles: But it's the fact that you said that last week
- 0:27Charles: we didn't have any technical issues.
- 0:29Charles: (laughing)
- 0:30Charles: I think you jinxed it.
- 0:31Charles: I cursed us forever.
- 0:32Charles: You cursed this show by mentioning that,
- 0:36Charles: that we had a flawless show last week
- 0:39Charles: outside of the fact that only two people saw it.
- 0:43Chris: (laughing)
- 0:43Chris: I don't know what I was thinking.
- 0:46Chris: I'm the worst.
- 0:47Chris: It's fine.
- 0:49Charles: At least our mics are on.
- 0:50Charles: Can you explain how you noticed?
- 0:54Nora: I like to check that the stream is live
- 0:56Nora: because historically the stream hasn't always been live.
- 0:58Nora: And all of a sudden-
- 1:00Chris: Hey, that only happened once.
- 1:01Chris: (laughing)
- 1:02Nora: I think it was more than once.
- 1:05Nora: So we check and all of a sudden I see me
- 1:09Nora: and hear the music in my ear coming from my phone
- 1:14Nora: and that wasn't right,
- 1:15Nora: that wasn't right.
- 1:17Charles: When we yelled in the back,
- 1:19Charles: "Hey,
- 1:20Charles: hey,
- 1:21Charles: check the screen!"
- 1:24Charles: We can see,
- 1:26Charles: so we can see like multiple cams on our end
- 1:29Charles: and we can see the Chris cam going.
- 1:35Charles: (laughing)
- 1:38Chris: For those of you at home, it looks like this.
- 1:44Charles: Also,
- 1:45Charles: welcome back to the show, Mandy.
- 1:47Mandy: Hi.
- 1:48Charles: Your camera is so dark right now.
- 1:50Mandy: It is,
- 1:51Mandy: we've talked about that.
- 1:52Mandy: I think it's the camera of shame.
- 1:54Chris: It's the camera of sheep.
- 1:55Chris: It's the camera of poor lighting in this room.
- 1:58Chris: It's the little Chris cam.
- 2:00Charles: It's the little Chris cam.
- 2:01Charles: It is, your little Chris today.
- 2:03Charles: We need little Chris back.
- 2:04Charles: Yeah,
- 2:05Charles: so we should-
- 2:06Charles: So with that being said,
- 2:08Charles: welcome everybody.
- 2:09Charles: Let us roll that intro.
- 3:00Charles: Christopher Reginald Lanphear,
- 3:02Charles: what did we just fucking say?
- 3:04Charles: That's close, man.
- 3:05Charles: Right?
- 3:06Charles: What did we just say?
- 3:08Charles: Was your mic hot when you said that?
- 3:11Charles: No,
- 3:12Chris: that was the talkback.
- 3:13Charles: It was the talkback?
- 3:14Charles: So what did you just say,
- 3:15Charles: Chris?
- 3:16Charles: We need to know.
- 3:17Chris: I said at least we don't have to worry
- 3:19Chris: about the stream crashing all the time anymore.
- 3:22Chris: (laughing)
- 3:23Chris: Because of the computer we used to run the show with,
- 3:26Chris: well, run the graphics with,
- 3:28Chris: was less than reliable.
- 3:30Chris: And we had a couple instances where it crashed
- 3:33Chris: in the middle of the show.
- 3:35Chris: And thankfully we are not worrying about that anymore.
- 3:39Charles: It's fine.
- 3:41Charles: We're gonna make it through this week.
- 3:43Charles: Welcome everybody,
- 3:44Charles: it's Wednesday night,
- 3:46Charles: 7 p.m. Mountain and you're watching vibe check.
- 3:49Charles: I am your host Charles
- 3:51Charles: Joseph Kelly and with me the hostess with the mostest from coast is to coast is we've got Nora
- 3:58Charles: How are you doing Nora? I'm really good.
- 4:00Nora: I cut my hair for pride
- 4:03Charles: Incredible.
- 4:03Charles: Yeah,
- 4:04Charles: did you do it yourself?
- 4:05Nora: I did I went into the bathroom on Sunday and said to myself happy pride. Happy pride
- 4:12Charles: Things up,
- 4:13Charles: right
- 4:15Charles: And on the ones and twos,
- 4:17Charles: we've got Christopher Lanphear and Mandy.
- 4:20Charles: Mandy,
- 4:20Charles: welcome back, like I mentioned.
- 4:22Charles: It's so delightful having you here.
- 4:24Mandy: We missed you.
- 4:25Mandy: We missed you.
- 4:26Mandy: Aw, thanks, in my little dark corner of shame
- 4:28Mandy: where no one can see me.
- 4:31Charles: I do have beef with Mandy
- 4:34Charles: that I didn't necessarily put in the show notes,
- 4:36Charles: but Mandy in the chat last week
- 4:38Charles: was giving me a hard time about talking about sourdough.
- 4:44Mandy: (laughing)
- 4:44Mandy: It's just has there been a week without sourdough
- 4:48Charles: No,
- 4:48Charles: no,
- 4:48Charles: there hasn't there has not been a week without sourdough content and here you're absolutely right
- 4:54Charles: I feel like we do have a tendency of talking about sourdough a little bit too much a tendency
- 5:01Charles: Hey,
- 5:01Nora: you know what dedicated spot for it. So don't worry.
- 5:04Nora: We will keep it to that that spot
- 5:07Nora: And with that being said we can move on to the next thing
- 5:10Charles: You know wait before we do before we do Chris before before we started the show
- 5:16Charles: You did mention how we want to talk about the things that are passionate to us
- 5:20Charles: And we're very passionate about sourdough, so we talk about sourdough
- 5:24Chris: Well ever when you when you say we you're not referring to all of us
- 5:29Mandy: Some of us had our Doug's sourdough die a horrendous
- 5:34Mandy: Mildewy powdery death
- 5:38Chris: Significant trauma and would like some time to properly mourn and get over it and then perhaps get back on the horse
- 5:46Charles: And at a later time and with that we have a specific
- 5:51Charles: sourdough segment now called Doug talk where we can only talk about Doug and
- 5:57Charles: soured Doug varieties
- 6:00Charles: Within this segment.
- 6:01Mandy: How is that working out for you?
- 6:02Charles: You have to mention it at least once.
- 6:05Chris: This was not approved by two of the four people
- 6:08Chris: involved in the making of this show.
- 6:09Mandy: You know, and I think it might be two of the people
- 6:12Mandy: who are not the white ones.
- 6:14Mandy: I'm just saying it's racially motivated,
- 6:15Chris: but you know, maybe.
- 6:16Chris: Oh, you know what, you're right.
- 6:17Chris: It could be racially motivated.
- 6:19Mandy: Yeah, I think so,
- 6:20Charles: I think so.
- 6:20Charles: We're the white ones and we have more say.
- 6:22Charles: Yeah,
- 6:23Mandy: that tracks.
- 6:24Mandy: I didn't say that.
- 6:24Mandy: That tracks.
- 6:25Nora: I didn't say that.
- 6:26Nora: That is definitely the way the world goes.
- 6:29Nora: I mean,
- 6:30Nora: I like-
- 6:30Charles: This is just a joke,
- 6:31Charles: please, thank you.
- 6:33Charles: (laughing)
- 6:34Nora: I like to eat sourdough,
- 6:35Nora: and so I can learn
- 6:37Nora: to have a passion for sourdough,
- 6:39Nora: and if we talk about sourdough, we're talking about bread.
- 6:41Nora: I like bread.
- 6:42Nora: Bread is awesome.
- 6:43Nora: I'm not opposed to talking about bread,
- 6:45Nora: ever.
- 6:45Nora: Yeah.
- 6:46Charles: So,
- 6:47Charles: Doug Talk coming in a little bit.
- 6:48Charles: We got some sourdough news.
- 6:51Charles: There's some sourdough news in the news.
- 6:54Nora: Excellent.
- 6:54Charles: That I found today.
- 6:56Chris: And that is the one reason why you're allowed
- 6:58Chris: this Doug Talk segment,
- 6:59Chris: because there is actually a news article.
- 7:01Chris: (laughing)
- 7:02Chris: It's pretty awesome.
- 7:04Nora: I'm excited too.
- 7:05Charles: But we've got a great show for you guys this week.
- 7:07Charles: (laughing)
- 7:08Charles: We've got so much great content.
- 7:10Charles: It's the start of Pride.
- 7:11Charles: We've got some great conversation points,
- 7:14Charles: a lot of lawsuits that just started Pride
- 7:18Charles: right off the bat.
- 7:19Charles: Just great,
- 7:20Charles: it's starting off great.
- 7:21Charles: But please,
- 7:22Charles: call us at 888-853-VIBE.
- 7:25Charles: Leave us a message, we'll play it on the air.
- 7:27Charles: Do it,
- 7:28Charles: cowards.
- 7:29Charles: Do it.
- 7:30Charles: You're in the chat,
- 7:30Charles: we see you in the chat.
- 7:31Charles: Give us a call too, be like, hey Charles,
- 7:34Charles: I love when you talk about Doug.
- 7:37Nora: Please, somebody back us up.
- 7:41Charles: Back the whiteys up,
- 7:42Charles: please.
- 7:43Nora: Oh yeah,
- 7:43Nora: 'cause they've been oppressed
- 7:44Nora: for far too long.
- 7:48Nora: Like,
- 7:48Nora: I don't know, like three years we've been oppressed.
- 7:51Chris: It's so hard.
- 7:54Chris: Wait,
- 7:54Chris: Charles,
- 7:55Chris: start talking about Doug for a second.
- 7:58Chris: So I really love-
- 8:00Chris: (laughing)
- 8:05Charles: I knew it was coming.
- 8:10Nora: We gotta save it for later.
- 8:12Charles: We gotta save it for the Doug Talk segment.
- 8:16Charles: All right,
- 8:17Charles: no more shower dough until Doug Talk.
- 8:22Nora: No more.
- 8:23Nora: Our next point was gonna be pride.
- 8:26Nora: Pride. - Pride.
- 8:26Nora: We can talk about pride.
- 8:28Nora: Yeah, let's talk about pride and sour.
- 8:29Nora: (laughing)
- 8:30Charles: Happy pride.
- 8:31Nora: Happy pride.
- 8:31Charles: Happy pride to you two in the booth.
- 8:35Nora: Hi, gay.
- 8:36Nora: Happy pride.
- 8:38Charles: I hate that.
- 8:39Nora: (laughing)
- 8:40Nora: Hey.
- 8:42Nora: I just think it's funny because of Meg Salter.
- 8:44Nora: Because everything she does is funny.
- 8:47Chris: I don't know who that is.
- 8:48Chris: I also don't know who that is.
- 8:49Nora: Nope,
- 8:50Nora: no clue. - She's in Hacks.
- 8:52Nora: She's in Hacks.
- 8:53Nora: Oh cool! - She's hilarious.
- 8:54Charles: The TV show "Hacks" which I have never seen an episode of.
- 8:57Charles: Has anybody else seen the TV show "Hacks"?
- 8:59Nora: I have.
- 9:00Charles: Is it good? - It's cute,
- 9:01Nora: yeah.
- 9:01Nora: What is "Hacks"?
- 9:03Nora: I've never seen it but-
- 9:05Nora: (laughing)
- 9:06Nora: I see clips from Meg and Paul who,
- 9:10Nora: Paul Downs from-
- 9:13Nora: I know Paul Downs.
- 9:13Nora: Paul Downs is from "Broad City".
- 9:16Nora: He is Alana's,
- 9:18Nora: no,
- 9:18Nora: Abby's boss in "Broad City"
- 9:20Nora: and him and Meg Salter have been,
- 9:22Nora: They just do bits when they're on the red carpet together
- 9:25Nora: and they are very hilarious.
- 9:27Nora: And it's just something,
- 9:29Nora: if you've ever seen,
- 9:30Nora: if you know, you know.
- 9:31Nora: If you've seen Meg Salter and Paul Downs, you know.
- 9:33Nora: But obviously they don't know.
- 9:34Charles: I think a majority of us do not know.
- 9:36Nora: These guys don't know.
- 9:38Nora: Obviously we don't have the same TikTok algorithm.
- 9:41Nora: It's very true. - No, that we do not.
- 9:42Nora: We do not.
- 9:43Charles: Some of us don't use TikTok at all.
- 9:45Nora: Oh, I know that.
- 9:47Nora: I know.
- 9:47Charles: I know, it's very disappointing.
- 9:48Nora: Yep.
- 9:49Charles: So yeah,
- 9:51Charles: there's a lot of crazy stuff
- 9:53Charles: happening around Pride right now.
- 9:54Charles: Before we get into that though,
- 9:56Charles: I'm bringing the energy levels down a little bit
- 9:59Charles: because I went a little too hard at the beginning there.
- 10:01Charles: I am so sorry for screaming in your ear.
- 10:04Charles: However,
- 10:05Charles: I feel like it's payback.
- 10:07Nora: I was gonna say, it seems about right.
- 10:10Nora: That seems fitting.
- 10:12Nora: (laughing)
- 10:13Charles: So,
- 10:13Charles: how's your Pride so far?
- 10:15Nora: Pretty good.
- 10:15Nora: I'm very excited for Fort Collins Pride.
- 10:18Nora: That was the first Pride I went to last year.
- 10:20Nora: And my friends and I are gonna get all of our blankets
- 10:24Nora: and kind of camp out in a corner
- 10:26Nora: and bring all of our knitting and crafting stuff.
- 10:28Nora: So then we have a home base
- 10:29Nora: and then we can go check everything out.
- 10:31Nora: But that's this Saturday.
- 10:33Nora: And I'm really excited 'cause it's,
- 10:36Nora: you gotta make sure you plan ahead
- 10:37Nora: as an autistic going to Pride.
- 10:40Nora: You gotta have your people,
- 10:40Nora: you gotta know where your spot is.
- 10:42Nora: It's gonna be at Library Park in Fort Collins.
- 10:45Nora: a whole list of really great local performers,
- 10:49Nora: and then there's the after show,
- 10:50Nora: and then there's the after after show,
- 10:52Nora: and there might even be an after after after show,
- 10:55Nora: or an after after after party.
- 10:57Charles: That is the gayest shit I've ever heard in my entire life.
- 11:00Nora: There's a lot going on,
- 11:01Nora: you guys just gotta get ready.
- 11:05Charles: Which I do wanna say,
- 11:06Charles: Chris.
- 11:07Charles: Yes.
- 11:07Charles: I'm giving you the pass.
- 11:12Charles: You get to say on this show,
- 11:14Charles: that is the gayest shit I've ever heard,
- 11:16Charles: once this episode.
- 11:17Charles: It's true.
- 11:18Charles: You get it once,
- 11:19Charles: and you can use it wherever you want it, okay?
- 11:21Charles: Okay.
- 11:22Charles: That is,
- 11:22Charles: you get the-
- 11:23Charles: I will keep that card in my pocket.
- 11:25Charles: Yes.
- 11:26Charles: You also get to say the F slur as much as you want.
- 11:28Nora: (laughing)
- 11:29Nora: Still get a pass.
- 11:32Charles: I have gotten into this habit
- 11:35Charles: over the last couple years,
- 11:36Charles: when Pride happens, you know, June,
- 11:39Charles: right?
- 11:40Charles: I have a different name for it, and I can't say it on air.
- 11:44Charles: It's Fslertober.
- 11:47Charles: (laughing)
- 11:50Charles: Isn't that,
- 11:50Charles: it's a great name
- 11:52Charles: when you're not saying it live on air.
- 11:55Nora: And you know what?
- 11:56Nora: Pride should be in September for all of the neurodivergent
- 11:59Nora: and like,
- 12:00Nora: you know, people who have heat control problems
- 12:02Nora: because June is really not a good time to be outside,
- 12:05Nora: and I can guarantee that the majority of queers
- 12:08Nora: are on some kind of antidepressant,
- 12:10Nora: which messes with how you deal with heat.
- 12:13Nora: So we should really have,
- 12:16Nora: you overheat easier
- 12:18Nora: if you are on antidepressants and it sucks.
- 12:20Mandy: Just no outdoor festivals or activities
- 12:23Nora: like June,
- 12:23Nora: July,
- 12:24Nora: August,
- 12:25Nora: just no.
- 12:25Nora: Really,
- 12:26Nora: exactly.
- 12:26Nora: So it should be in September.
- 12:28Nora: And so in that case, you have the perfect name for it.
- 12:30Charles: Yeah,
- 12:31Charles: exactly.
- 12:31Nora: If it were actually in September,
- 12:32Nora: that's what we would call it.
- 12:33Charles: Yeah, well I was-
- 12:34Nora: I would call it that.
- 12:36Nora: Live on air.
- 12:36Charles: Yeah,
- 12:37Charles: just right now.
- 12:38Nora: It was in September,
- 12:39Nora: if that was the official Pride month.
- 12:41Charles: Yeah.
- 12:41Nora: But it's not,
- 12:42Nora: so I can't say it.
- 12:43Charles: Yeah,
- 12:43Charles: but I still call it that because it's funny.
- 12:45Nora: Well, that's okay.
- 12:45Charles: Yeah. - Yeah.
- 12:46Charles: Talking,
- 12:46Charles: that was a great segue,
- 12:48Charles: by the way.
- 12:48Charles: Yeah?
- 12:48Charles: Because like my anecdote,
- 12:51Charles: in the anecdotes section of our notes for the show,
- 12:54Charles: is that I've been sleeping like absolute dog shit
- 12:57Charles: because my new medication makes me
- 13:00Charles: not regulate my body heat.
- 13:02Charles: Ooh. - Oh no.
- 13:03Nora: I couldn't sleep last night because I got too hot.
- 13:06Nora: Yeah.
- 13:07Nora: I couldn't sleep for three hours and I fall asleep like that usually and it makes me so mad.
- 13:12Nora: So there are cooling blankets and cooling sheets that actually kind of do work.
- 13:17Mandy: Okay.
- 13:17Mandy: And they do like,
- 13:18Mandy: like even the puppies if they get overheated they go and lay on them and they're like, "Oh my god, this is amazing!"
- 13:23Charles: I love, I love the cooling blankets,
- 13:25Charles: however the problem is is they heat up really quickly.
- 13:27Charles: Yeah.
- 13:28Charles: Which is the problem that I have.
- 13:30Charles: I'm like,
- 13:31Charles: in my Amazon cart right now
- 13:33Charles: is like this whole system where I can plug it into the wall
- 13:36Charles: and have like a fan that like blasts cold air
- 13:39Charles: through a bunch of blankets.
- 13:40Charles: Underneath, through the bottom.
- 13:42Nora: Yeah,
- 13:43Nora: and I've also seen like a water cooling system
- 13:45Nora: where there's like one that you can put under your sheets
- 13:47Nora: where it cools you down.
- 13:50Nora: But I can't sleep if I'm too hot
- 13:52Nora: and last night I was too hot, I was miserable.
- 13:54Nora: I had to break out the fan.
- 13:55Nora: I have to sleep with like a fan on high setting
- 13:58Nora: like blowing directly at me for my body
- 14:00Nora: to be able to regulate my body temperature.
- 14:02Charles: I've been doing like,
- 14:03Charles: the last couple nights
- 14:04Charles: I've been doing like a swamp cooler kind of a thing
- 14:07Charles: and then I have my overhead fan that's been on
- 14:09Charles: and even then it's still,
- 14:11Charles: it's not enough
- 14:12Charles: and I like, my body is just like dying.
- 14:16Charles: But!
- 14:17Nora: That's so annoying.
- 14:18Charles: I went to bed at like 8 p.m. yesterday
- 14:21Charles: to try to get a full eight hours of sleep.
- 14:22Charles: Like an old person!
- 14:24Charles: No,
- 14:24Charles: and I still did not get eight hours of sleep.
- 14:26Charles: Oh! - Oh man!
- 14:27Nora: So frustrating.
- 14:29Charles: That's so annoying.
- 14:30Nora: Feel for you, friend.
- 14:32Charles: Thank you.
- 14:32Nora: That's a hard one.
- 14:34Nora: Especially when it's medication related,
- 14:36Nora: like that just,
- 14:37Nora: you can't do a whole lot about that.
- 14:39Nora: It sucks.
- 14:40Charles: Chris, you went to Denver Fan Expo.
- 14:43Charles: You can't call it Comic Con anymore.
- 14:44Charles: I did go to Fan Expo Denver,
- 14:45Chris: which used to be called Denver Pop Culture Con,
- 14:48Chris: and was also before that called Denver Comic Con,
- 14:51Chris: before San Diego Comic Con got their grubby mitts into it.
- 14:55Charles: Little grubby little hands all over it.
- 14:56Chris: Exactly,
- 14:57Chris: yeah.
- 14:57Chris: And it was a good time, we're there all weekend,
- 14:59Chris: and I've gone every year that there has been
- 15:02Chris: a Denver Comic-Con/Fan Expo Denver,
- 15:05Chris: and it's a good time to show you
- 15:08Chris: a couple photos from the event.
- 15:11Chris: And I want to see if you can pick up
- 15:14Chris: on the theme of these two photos.
- 15:16Chris: So first of all,
- 15:18Chris: meeting David Tennant.
- 15:19Mandy: Ah, the love of my life! - Cool.
- 15:22Mandy: Both of them,
- 15:23Mandy: and David Tennant.
- 15:24Mandy: I meant Lin,
- 15:24Mandy: but you know, David Tennant too.
- 15:26Mandy: Right, right, right.
- 15:26Mandy: He's on my to-bang list.
- 15:28Charles: I, okay.
- 15:30Charles: I have an idea of what the theme is.
- 15:33Charles: Okay.
- 15:34Charles: Play the second photo.
- 15:35Chris: So the second photo,
- 15:37Chris: meeting the hobbits.
- 15:40Charles: That's cool.
- 15:41Charles: I called it, I called it, I called it.
- 15:42Charles: Chris is getting cucked by this situation.
- 15:45Charles: (laughing)
- 15:46Charles: Chris is in none of these photos.
- 15:48Charles: Exactly.
- 15:50Chris: Chris is taking the photo.
- 15:51Chris: Well I did not take the photo,
- 15:53Chris: but I am not in the photos.
- 15:55Chris: That is,
- 15:55Chris: Charles, you get a gold star.
- 15:57Chris: Thank you, thank you.
- 15:58Chris: What happened?
- 15:59Chris: Why?
- 16:00Chris: 'Cause I didn't pay for it, and honestly.
- 16:02Chris: (laughing)
- 16:03Mandy: That's not a good reason.
- 16:05Chris: I know, I know.
- 16:06Chris: But like,
- 16:07Chris: I chose not, I wasn't a part of it
- 16:10Chris: because her friend purchased these like VIP,
- 16:13Chris: like photo and meet and greet experiences,
- 16:15Chris: and I wasn't invited or a part of that thing.
- 16:18Chris: So they went and did their photos,
- 16:20Chris: and I held bags and sat in the front.
- 16:25Mandy: Nice. - I mean,
- 16:26Mandy: how are we feeling about this?
- 16:27Mandy: Are we feeling okay about it?
- 16:29Mandy: Are you feeling left out?
- 16:31Mandy: Do you need a hug?
- 16:35Mandy: (laughing)
- 16:37Charles: How does it feel to be cucked by Elijah Wood?
- 16:42Charles: (laughing)
- 16:43Nora: Probably pretty good,
- 16:44Nora: actually.
- 16:44Charles: Not the first time.
- 16:46Charles: You know what?
- 16:47Charles: I wouldn't, I normally would be like,
- 16:49Charles: What a what but that makes a little bit of sense right? I feel like it does it happens quite a lot to Chris
- 16:56Chris: It really does. I don't know why but this is my lot in life. Yeah
- 17:02Charles: Have you seen him perform like his DJ set?
- 17:05Chris: I have not personally seen it though. Apparently he did
- 17:09Chris: Crash some DJ event at the con.
- 17:11Chris: Oh cool.
- 17:12Chris: And had I known that was a possibility
- 17:14Chris: I would have made it to that but alas no yeah,
- 17:17Charles: it's he's he's really actually good at what he does like
- 17:20Charles: It's pretty pretty cool.
- 17:21Charles: So I believe it uh
- 17:23Charles: Mandy how was your last couple of weeks you didn't show up last week for book club
- 17:28Mandy: Like look they I've known them longer than you the love of my life is there how am I choosing them over?
- 17:37Mandy: It's good,
- 17:38Mandy: I'm excited for the summer concert series is to start
- 17:42Mandy: I'm going to go see Emerson wolf and the wishbones tomorrow.
- 17:47Mandy: Oh cool.
- 17:47Mandy: Amigo the devil the next week
- 17:50Mandy: My chemical romance so I get to see you like so many things coming up soon.
- 17:53Mandy: Yes
- 17:54Mandy: Very cool. Lots of things to look forward to really excited
- 17:58Charles: Gerard way
- 18:00Charles: He's related to Joe Rogan. Did you guys know that?
- 18:05Nora: Does that make Joe Rogan a nepo babe? No,
- 18:09Charles: well you who came first
- 18:12Charles: There's definitely Joe Rogan.
- 18:13Nora: Yeah.
- 18:13Charles: 'Cause he was in like TV in the 90s.
- 18:16Nora: He was, that's true.
- 18:18Nora: I forget that 'cause-
- 18:19Charles: Joe Rogan is pre-9/11,
- 18:21Charles: Gerard Way is post-9/11.
- 18:22Charles: That's true,
- 18:23Nora: okay,
- 18:23Nora: so yeah.
- 18:24Nora: That makes Gerard Way some kind of,
- 18:27Nora: I don't think he's responsible
- 18:30Nora: for My Chemical Romance, if anyone.
- 18:32Charles: Yeah,
- 18:33Charles: I don't think so.
- 18:33Nora: I don't think Joe Rogan is, no.
- 18:35Charles: That'd be really funny if it was.
- 18:36Nora: (laughing)
- 18:37Nora: My Chemical Romance only exists because of Joe Rogan.
- 18:40Charles: And Joe Rogan is the reason why Ellen DeGeneres.
- 18:47Charles: Are you guys familiar with that whole thing?
- 18:50Charles: Oh my god, we're going to talk about this.
- 18:53Charles: Okay,
- 18:54Charles: 9/11 was the beginning of the downfall
- 18:59Charles: for Ellen DeGeneres.
- 19:01Charles: Okay,
- 19:01Charles: 9/11 happened,
- 19:03Charles: right?
- 19:03Charles: Which made Gerard Way want to create
- 19:08Charles: My Chemical Romance,
- 19:09Charles: right?
- 19:09Charles: Yeah, there's a big,
- 19:10Charles: no, no, for real.
- 19:11Charles: (laughing)
- 19:12Charles: Listen to this.
- 19:13Charles: No, I don't wanna hear this.
- 19:14Charles: This is actually very interesting,
- 19:16Charles: right?
- 19:17Charles: So he started My Chemical Romance,
- 19:20Charles: which Stephanie Meyers-
- 19:21Charles: Twilight.
- 19:21Charles: Was Twilight,
- 19:23Charles: right?
- 19:24Charles: Which Fifty Shades of Grey was the,
- 19:28Charles: like came off of Twilight
- 19:29Charles: and was a fan fiction of Twilight originally.
- 19:31Charles: Dakota Johnson.
- 19:32Charles: Dakota Johnson was on the episode
- 19:36Charles: that called out Ellen DeGeneres
- 19:37Charles: for being kind of a trash person,
- 19:40Charles: or she was the one who called her out for that,
- 19:44Charles: which was the start of the downfall
- 19:45Charles: of Ellen DeGeneres on TV.
- 19:47Charles: So,
- 19:48Charles: like legitimately,
- 19:50Charles: 9/11 started all of this for Ellen.
- 19:53Nora: You did lead into that by saying
- 19:54Nora: Joe Rogan is responsible for that.
- 19:56Charles: Yeah, Joe Rogan too,
- 19:57Charles: now.
- 19:58Nora: Joe Rogan is actually responsible for 9/11.
- 20:00Nora: Is that the clip?
- 20:02Video: (laughing)
- 20:02Video: Joe Rogan,
- 20:03Charles: it's responsible for 9/11.
- 20:06Mandy: Well, we know who to blame.
- 20:08Mandy: (laughing)
- 20:10Chris: And now we have Mandy saying that on camera.
- 20:13Chris: (laughing)
- 20:14Chris: It wasn't the Saudis.
- 20:16Charles: It wasn't the Saudis who did 9/11.
- 20:18Charles: It was Joe Rogan.
- 20:20Mandy: Now you have, and now you have Charles.
- 20:22Charles: And the Rogan verse,
- 20:24Charles: and that's why he started the mothership
- 20:26Charles: was to do another 9/11.
- 20:28Charles: So watch out,
- 20:29Charles: Joe Rogan's coming.
- 20:34Charles: (dramatic music)
- 20:41Charles: Joe Rogan,
- 20:42Charles: no!
- 20:42Mandy: No,
- 20:43Mandy: I was like,
- 20:44Mandy: now the actor and Nora both needed to get,
- 20:47Mandy: you know, we need clips of everyone saying
- 20:49Mandy: that Joe Rogan was responsible for 9/11.
- 20:51Nora: I mean,
- 20:53Nora: I'm not saying Joe Rogan didn't do 9/11,
- 20:55Nora: but I'm not not saying that Joe Rogan didn't do 9/11.
- 20:59Nora: No,
- 21:00Nora: no.
- 21:00Nora: The clip is just writing itself.
- 21:04Charles: (laughing)
- 21:05Charles: The audio clips that we're going to start,
- 21:09Charles: like we need to start actually doing this
- 21:10Chris: because we've got some great-
- 21:11Chris: Wait a second,
- 21:12Chris: I'll do one better.
- 21:14Chris: Did 9/11.
- 21:17Nora: Ooh, I can't believe you said that, Chris.
- 21:22Chris: I don't even,
- 21:22Chris: hold on,
- 21:23Chris: I'll do it to myself.
- 21:26Chris: (laughing)
- 21:30Charles: Cool.
- 21:31Charles: (laughing)
- 21:32Charles: All right,
- 21:33Charles: so we've got some great videos for you guys
- 21:35Charles: from around the net this week,
- 21:38Charles: and some great gay content.
- 21:40Charles: But first,
- 21:42Charles: I found a new food item.
- 21:46Charles: It was a 3D printed burrito.
- 21:49Video: Here we are making a Air Jordan shoe burrito.
- 21:55Video: We start by laser engraving the tortillas
- 21:58Video: and constructing the shoe.
- 22:00Video: Cheese will hold everything together nicely
- 22:07Video: You know more men need hobbies I support this for real now for the fillings now for the fillings
- 22:14Mandy: He's got a great voiceover voice. Yeah,
- 22:17Charles: I would never eat this just because of how so much work
- 22:20Charles: Yeah,
- 22:21Mandy: yeah, but then you'll like eat a slice of cake right so really would you not eat it that bad boy up?
- 22:25Charles: I would I would eat the shoe yeah,
- 22:27Video: uh-huh
- 22:30Mandy: Oh, it's guacamole.
- 22:31Video: Introducing the Air Jordan Shoe-rito.
- 22:34Nora: Shoe-rito, I love it.
- 22:36Nora: That's amazing.
- 22:37Chris: The problem is-- - We just take a moment
- 22:39Chris: to appreciate the artistry involved there.
- 22:43Chris: Yeah,
- 22:44Mandy: it's a great hobby. - I like it.
- 22:45Mandy: Once again, men need more hobbies.
- 22:47Charles: Agreed.
- 22:47Mandy: I'd eat that.
- 22:48Charles: It's a shitty burrito,
- 22:50Charles: though,
- 22:51Charles: let's be real.
- 22:52Charles: I mean-- - He baked it?
- 22:53Mandy: Yeah, you only get one bite of each item at a time.
- 22:56Charles: Right, that's like a Taco Bell burrito right there.
- 22:59Mandy: (laughing)
- 22:59Mandy: I know, I think if you have Taco Bell,
- 23:01Charles: you'll get more variety.
- 23:02Charles: Like, I love Taco Bell.
- 23:02Charles: Right, at least this one looks like a shoe.
- 23:05Mandy: (laughing)
- 23:05Charles: It doesn't just taste like it.
- 23:07Mandy: It doesn't just taste like a shoe.
- 23:07Charles: I'm kidding, I love Taco Bell.
- 23:09Charles: I had Taco Bell yesterday.
- 23:10Mandy: I mean, Taco Bell, sponsor us.
- 23:12Mandy: Yeah, sponsor us.
- 23:13Chris: I mean, did you have Taco Bell, Charles,
- 23:15Chris: or did Taco Bell have you?
- 23:17Chris: Are you one of those people?
- 23:19Charles: I had a chicken quesadilla.
- 23:22Charles: Ooh.
- 23:24Charles: I had a Crunchwrap Supreme.
- 23:26Charles: Nice.
- 23:27Charles: Baja Blast Zero Sugar.
- 23:29Nora: Ooh,
- 23:30Nora: that's usually what I get.
- 23:33Nora: I've been trying their chicken cantina tacos.
- 23:37Nora: Oh yeah.
- 23:38Nora: Real good.
- 23:40Video: Wait, have you tried their new
- 23:42Mandy: kind of queso burrita tacos yet?
- 23:45Mandy: Yes.
- 23:45Mandy: I wanna try that.
- 23:47Mandy: I'm not eating it. - It's pretty solid.
- 23:48Mandy: 'Cause gross,
- 23:49Mandy: no thank you.
- 23:49Mandy: But I wanna watch someone eat it.
- 23:52Charles: I'll do it.
- 23:53Charles: If somebody orders it right now,
- 23:55Charles: I will eat it on camera.
- 23:56Chris: Charles, you can't have it tonight.
- 23:58Chris: We already have tasty little treats later.
- 24:00Charles: We have tasty little treats for tasty little guys,
- 24:02Charles: and I also ate another dinner.
- 24:04Nora: I love tasty little treats,
- 24:06Nora: and I am very excited for tasty little treats today.
- 24:11Charles: Okay,
- 24:11Charles: when it comes to Taco Bell,
- 24:12Charles: I got a question for you guys,
- 24:13Charles: 'cause I have,
- 24:14Charles: I'm very particular.
- 24:16Charles: I go to very specific Taco Bells.
- 24:19Nora: Okay.
- 24:19Charles: Do you guys have like a Taco Bell that you go,
- 24:21Charles: like,
- 24:22Charles: not that you order from,
- 24:23Charles: but like you go out of your way
- 24:25Charles: Like a specific Taco Bell.
- 24:27Nora: Yeah.
- 24:28Nora: Yeah, the one on College and Prospect because it's cute
- 24:32Charles: You go there because it's cute. You don't go there for the food
- 24:35Nora: I mean I do but like it's also like it's a good one.
- 24:38Charles: That's the that's the that's okay
- 24:40Charles: That's what I like interesting.
- 24:41Nora: Which one do you like?
- 24:42Charles: Which is the good?
- 24:43Charles: What is the good one?
- 24:45Chris: What do you guys well, I will say that the one on college and like Troutman or whatever is garbage.
- 24:50Video: Yeah,
- 24:51Chris: they never are
- 24:53Chris: Properly staffed food takes surprisingly long to get when you're in the drive-thru at night.
- 25:00Chris: It's just not a good time
- 25:01Charles: It's the one that's the one that's over in a parking lot of the best buy, right?
- 25:04Mandy: Yeah, I would say Windsor and Crossroads.
- 25:07Mandy: It has a really good Taco Bell
- 25:08Mandy: They always like fill everything up pretty like nicely because you know
- 25:11Mandy: Sometimes you like I'll only order one thing cuz I'll be enough and then they don't fill it at all
- 25:15Mandy: Right, like well, I'm hungry. So you order like ten things and you really only need
- 25:19Mandy: And then some of them still do chili cheese burritos.
- 25:23Mandy: Yes
- 25:24Mandy: Find the right one. Yes. Yeah,
- 25:26Charles: so the one I've got two that I go to the one that's this is hyper local for
- 25:31Charles: Anybody who's not from the area?
- 25:32Charles: I apologize in advance
- 25:34Charles: But if you find yourself in northern Colorado the one that is in the parking lot of the the Costco on
- 25:40Charles: I-25
- 25:42Charles: That one they they load up their food
- 25:46Charles: And it is like really,
- 25:48Charles: it always is like super fresh.
- 25:50Charles: However,
- 25:51Charles: their Baja Blast Zero Sugar does taste like soap.
- 25:54Charles: And which is very disappointing.
- 25:57Charles: (laughing)
- 26:00Nora: I do love Taco John's potato olays
- 26:03Nora: and the fact that they add black olives to their burritos.
- 26:06Nora: I know it's a Midwest thing, but I love black olives.
- 26:08Charles: And the fact that you can get potato olays
- 26:10Charles: in their breakfast burritos.
- 26:12Charles: Holy God.
- 26:14Charles: Yes!
- 26:14Charles: if you're driving down 287 in past Loveland,
- 26:21Charles: there's a Taco Bell in the parking lot of a Mavericks.
- 26:26Charles: It's brand new.
- 26:28Charles: And I don't know what they do, but it tastes like-
- 26:31Chris: This is totally what people are tuning in
- 26:32Chris: for the best Taco Bells in Northern Colorado.
- 26:35Mandy: In the comments,
- 26:36Nora: tell us your favorite Taco Bell.
- 26:37Nora: I know you have one.
- 26:38Nora: Please do, yes.
- 26:39Nora: I know you have one.
- 26:40Nora: I would like to let everyone know
- 26:43Nora: that here in Colorado we take our Taco Bell
- 26:45Nora: extremely seriously.
- 26:46Nora: 'Cause we are so white. - Yeah, 'cause there's
- 26:47Nora: no good Mexican food.
- 26:48Nora: The Taco Bell 50K started in Denver.
- 26:51Charles: It's true.
- 26:52Charles: It's true.
- 26:52Charles: We need to do it this year.
- 26:54Nora: We're gonna go to it.
- 26:55Mandy: I'm not gonna run it.
- 26:56Mandy: Okay, I want someone else to run it.
- 26:57Mandy: I will be there cheering you on the entire time.
- 27:00Mandy: And eating Taco Bell. - We don't have to sign up.
- 27:02Mandy: Yeah.
- 27:02Chris: When we were planning out this show,
- 27:04Chris: didn't we talk about a segment where we would
- 27:06Chris: like interview people who were doing the Taco Bell 50K?
- 27:09Chris: Yes, and we need to do it this year.
- 27:10Chris: We absolutely do.
- 27:12Charles: Because it's delightful if you guys aren't familiar the Taco Bell 50k 50k is a 50k, right?
- 27:17Charles: I think it's 50k right which is yes like 10.
- 27:21Charles: That's 10 miles,
- 27:22Charles: isn't it? Like it's like
- 27:24Mandy: 10 kilometers 10 kilometers,
- 27:27Mandy: that's the K.
- 27:28Mandy: Okay. I mean 50 gates or it's 50 gates of 50 kilometers
- 27:30Charles: It's a lot of her so that's like like 13 miles
- 27:34Charles: Something something like that. So it is October 3rd
- 27:37Chris: It's 30 miles.
- 27:39Chris: Oh my god.
- 27:40Chris: We need to plan around this to make sure that we are there on the day
- 27:46Chris: Doing man on the street interviews.
- 27:48Chris: I paid a lot of money for a really good reporter wireless microphone
- 27:51Chris: And we need to be able to claim it on our taxes dying.
- 27:55Mandy: Yes,
- 27:55Mandy: sign me up. I will take around
- 27:57Charles: So,
- 27:58Charles: okay
- 27:58Charles: So for those who are familiar
- 28:00Charles: It's you have to go to ten different taco bells along this route and eat at least one
- 28:06Charles: item from the Taco Bell and you can't get like things like chips and cheese or or the
- 28:13Nora: Bean burrito or like a you have to get like an actual item and there are rules on the website for how exactly this works
- 28:20Nora: but you have to eat at each of the
- 28:22Nora: each of the Taco Bell stops and don't you have to like
- 28:25Nora: Like you have to check off a list of certain items that you have to eat
- 28:29Charles: There's a couple things where you have to have certain there are the rules
- 28:32Chris: so you have to be at all 10 Taco Bell stops along the course,
- 28:36Chris: no tolerance for course cutting.
- 28:38Chris: You have to eat a menu item from at least
- 28:40Chris: nine of the 10 stops.
- 28:42Chris: By the fourth stop, everyone must have had
- 28:44Chris: at least one Chalupa Supreme or one Crunchwrap Supreme.
- 28:48Chris: By the eighth stop, everyone must have had
- 28:50Chris: at least one Burrito Supreme or one Nachos Belgrande.
- 28:54Chris: You have to finish within 11 hours.
- 28:56Chris: Drinks are not food.
- 28:58Chris: You have to keep all receipts and wrappers
- 29:00Chris: for confirmation of stupidity at the end of the run,
- 29:03Chris: which I love the way that's phrased.
- 29:06Chris: You have one bathroom break possibility at a certain spot.
- 29:11Chris: Survivors, I love that,
- 29:13Chris: in all caps,
- 29:13Chris: will eventually get a commemorative item
- 29:15Chris: after successful completion of the run.
- 29:17Chris: Eventually does not fill me with confidence.
- 29:19Nora: (laughing)
- 29:21Chris: You have to RSVP your statement of intent.
- 29:25Chris: No on-course Pepto, Alka-Seltzer, Pepsod AC,
- 29:28Chris: or Mylanta will be allowed.
- 29:30Video: Before or after only. - You can still have Tums.
- 29:32Chris: Rule 12,
- 29:33Chris: additional quote unquote rules
- 29:35Chris: may be added,
- 29:35Chris: amended, or changed
- 29:36Chris: to promote the intent of the run,
- 29:38Chris: which is to do something completely stupid.
- 29:41Chris: 13, congratulations?
- 29:43Chris: (laughing)
- 29:44Charles: Leather all items with Diablo sauce
- 29:46Charles: or do a Diablo shooter at the end.
- 29:47Charles: Diablo's not that hot.
- 29:48Nora: It's the Diablo challenge.
- 29:49Chris: Yeah, that's a supplemental challenge.
- 29:51Chris: There's also a Baja Blast challenge
- 29:53Chris: where you have to drink at least two liters
- 29:55Chris: of Baja Blast during the run without vomiting.
- 29:58Mandy: I wanna shake the hand of the person
- 29:59Mandy: does that,
- 30:00Mandy: like mad promise.
- 30:01Charles: I'm gonna get a handshake this year, y'all.
- 30:03Charles: Yeah, for real.
- 30:04Mandy: Oh,
- 30:04Nora: seriously.
- 30:05Nora: I don't think I wanna be close to people after that run.
- 30:08Charles: Logistics wise,
- 30:09Charles: you have 11 hours to go 30 miles.
- 30:12Charles: That's about like three,
- 30:13Charles: a little bit less
- 30:14Charles: than three miles an hour.
- 30:16Charles: So that's a 20 minute mile.
- 30:17Charles: That's walking speed.
- 30:19Nora: You can walk it.
- 30:19Charles: That's, you can walk it.
- 30:21Charles: Well,
- 30:21Charles: the problem is,
- 30:22Charles: you can walk it.
- 30:23Charles: However,
- 30:24Charles: you have to stop and eat at all these Taco Bells
- 30:26Charles: and there's gonna be a lot of food that's going in.
- 30:28Charles: So you have to place your order beforehand.
- 30:31Charles: So like if you're gonna walk it you have to download the Taco Bell app
- 30:35Nora: Yeah, which is this is an ad for the Taco Bell app
- 30:39Chris: And I think I think I think every week we need to do something where we count down to the Taco Bell 50k

- 46:51Charles: What's the,
- 46:52Charles: okay,
- 46:52Charles: is there any kind of legal precedent
- 46:55Charles: for Batman's case here?
- 46:56Mandy: I mean, I'm not an expert in this field,
- 46:58Mandy: obviously,
- 46:59Mandy: but there's no case,
- 47:01Mandy: there's no case here.
- 47:02Chris: Oh,
- 47:02Charles: so this is-
- 47:02Chris: It's about as frivolous as a suit gets, right?
- 47:04Charles: This looks like,
- 47:05Charles: this is just a fundraising effort
- 47:08Charles: for their weird-
- 47:10Charles: Cult.
- 47:11Charles: Wack-ass non-profit.
- 47:14Charles: Cool.
- 47:15Charles: Good job Batman.
- 47:17Nora: Yeah, I'm letting us all down right can we just support the gays. It's Pride Month
- 47:23Charles: No,
- 47:24Charles: no, I am the night
- 47:32Nora: Then Batman right campiest of all well
- 47:36Nora: The only reason I don't want to work during Pride Month is just because I want to be out doing gay shit
- 47:41Nora: Like I don't want to have to work.
- 47:43Nora: I want to still have money
- 47:44Mandy: I just want to go I don't know Alex says that they really enjoy pride month working during pride month
- 47:51Nora: And I love it
- 47:52Nora: I know but like I don't want to work because I just want to be out doing gay shit like that
- 47:56Nora: That's why I don't want to work during pride month, but maybe Alex's job includes doing gay
- 48:04Nora: Probably I would assume I would assume yeah
- 48:08Charles: All right
- 48:10Charles: So Batman good job
- 48:12Charles: Appreciate it.
- 48:14Charles: So Jared Polis
- 48:17Nora: The more hyper local well relatively local news
- 48:22Nora: Fuck this guy God, okay
- 48:25Charles: Like I've made this before I think but Jared Polis is the kind of gay that loves RuPaul not for drag but for the frack
- 48:35Chris: People who don't live in Colorado Jared Polis is the current lame-duck governor of the state
- 48:42Chris: who is himself a gay man and has demonstrated this by fucking everyone in the state over and over and over again.
- 48:51Nora: He's a Democrat in name only.
- 48:53Charles: Right.
- 48:54Nora: Recently pardoned Tina Peters.
- 48:57Charles: Right.
- 48:57Charles: And he got censured by the Democrats for doing this and in his response,
- 49:03Charles: he did like a fucking no hate tape over the mouth bullshit being like, "I'm so censored.
- 49:10Charles: Look at me.
- 49:11Charles: I hate this man so much.
- 49:16Charles: Fuck this guy.
- 49:16Charles: He sucks so much.
- 49:18Charles: And like,
- 49:19Charles: he is the epitome of like the white gay men
- 49:25Charles: who we wouldn't call part of the queer community,
- 49:27Charles: just the white gay men who just like-
- 49:30Charles: Ruin everything.
- 49:31Charles: Ruin everything.
- 49:32Charles: Everything.
- 49:33Nora: I mean, he's in the same league as Peter Thiel
- 49:35Nora: as far as I'm concerned.
- 49:37Nora: They're buddies.
- 49:38Charles: This,
- 49:39Charles: you know what?
- 49:40Charles: There are some moments, I will just say this,
- 49:42Charles: and Chris, you can put the this is a joke up on
- 49:45Charles: before I say this, please.
- 49:48Charles: However,
- 49:48Charles: I do feel,
- 49:50Charles: (laughing)
- 49:50Charles: a spaceship moment sponsored by Chick-fil-A.
- 49:52Charles: I do feel like sometimes,
- 49:56Charles: gay rights should be abolished.
- 49:59Charles: (laughing)
- 50:00Charles: And this is one of those moments.
- 50:01Mandy: Or you just get to pick and choose
- 50:03Mandy: which person gets them abolished.
- 50:04Mandy: Like you get yours taken away.
- 50:06Charles: You get yours, yeah. - Not for you.
- 50:08Charles: Exactly.
- 50:08Charles: You have to,
- 50:09Charles: you actually get your gay card
- 50:12Charles: and you get it in the mail, you get it certified,
- 50:14Charles: it's laminated,
- 50:15Charles: and then our asses come out
- 50:17Charles: and cut that shit in half when you pull shit like this.
- 50:20Charles: Fucking dreader.
- 50:24Charles: Yes,
- 50:24Charles: the Tina Peters thing is really fucking awful,
- 50:27Charles: but the fact that he put tape over his mouth
- 50:30Charles: in a fucking Zoom call with AirPods Max, it looks like,
- 50:35Video: is just so cringy.
- 50:38Chris: Yeah,
- 50:39Chris: those are 100% AirPods Max.
- 50:41Chris: In his car. - Which are $500 headphones
- 50:43Chris: for those of you who aren't rich.
- 50:44Nora: Yeah.
- 50:45Chris: Yeah.
- 50:46Nora: And that's, he's definitely in his car taking this call.
- 50:49Nora: Like, so he doesn't know a better place to do it.
- 50:51Nora: But like, he's proud of the fact that like,
- 50:53Nora: he's been censured and the fact that he takes pride in it
- 50:57Nora: is what makes me mad.
- 50:58Nora: Like,
- 50:59Nora: why would you be proud to have everyone shame you?
- 51:03Charles: Do you think he likes this?
- 51:05Charles: Do you think that he's like,
- 51:06Charles: I'm doing something for the queer community by doing this.
- 51:10Chris: You know what it is?
- 51:11Chris: I think,
- 51:12Chris: but you know,
- 51:13Chris: we don't get political on this show,
- 51:15Chris: but I will say this.
- 51:16Chris: We don't get political.
- 51:17Chris: I think.
- 51:18Chris: (laughing)
- 51:19Chris: We try not to talk politics on this show.
- 51:22Chris: Maybe that's a better way to say it.
- 51:22Chris: That's not what this show is.
- 51:24Chris: But I think the reason he's doing these things
- 51:27Chris: is because he knows he's term limited
- 51:30Chris: and he has no political repercussions,
- 51:33Chris: but there may be business repercussions
- 51:35Chris: that he's considering for later
- 51:37Chris: to try to curry favor with certain people.
- 51:39Chris: You are spot on.
- 51:40Chris: That's the only thing that makes sense to me.
- 51:42Nora: You are spot on.
- 51:42Nora: That's the only thing that makes sense to me as well.
- 51:45Nora: Because he's not planning on,
- 51:47Nora: all of his political career
- 51:49Nora: has gone down the drain in the last month.
- 51:52Nora: Nobody is going to back him for any larger position
- 51:56Nora: outside of the state of Colorado.
- 51:58Nora: And before he was the governor,
- 51:59Nora: he was a businessman.
- 52:00Nora: That's where he made all of his money.
- 52:02Nora: He is a rich white man.
- 52:03Nora: He was still a millionaire before he became the governor.
- 52:06Nora: He's a businessman,
- 52:07Nora: that's what he does.
- 52:08Nora: And this is the epitome of a libertarian governor
- 52:12Nora: who's under the Democratic label.
- 52:15Nora: And he tricked us all,
- 52:16Nora: he bamboozled us.
- 52:18Nora: And now that he's term limited,
- 52:19Nora: he's doing whatever he wants,
- 52:20Nora: even though I voted for him and was so excited for him.
- 52:23Nora: I know.
- 52:23Nora: That's the worst part.
- 52:25Charles: Times two,
- 52:26Charles: same.
- 52:26Charles: It's that realization that you're like,
- 52:28Charles: oh, I'm voting Democrat, I'm voting for a gay man,
- 52:31Charles: I'm so progressive.
- 52:32Charles: And then like,
- 52:33Charles: we should have known,
- 52:35Charles: right?
- 52:35Charles: We should have known.
- 52:36Charles: Like if we had taken a step back,
- 52:38Charles: you know, in our-
- 52:39Charles: The Kay Boulder businessman?
- 52:40Charles: And be like,
- 52:41Charles: this guy,
- 52:42Charles: this guy really,
- 52:44Charles: like we should have thought about it a little bit more
- 52:46Charles: as a people, but I'm glad that we're realizing this now
- 52:49Charles: so that when we find ourselves in this situation again,
- 52:52Charles: you know, hopefully we vote a little bit better
- 52:54Charles: because this guy fucking sucks fuck flock so much.
- 53:00Charles: This guy stinks!
- 53:01Charles: And ice.
- 53:02Charles: Yeah.
- 53:03Charles: And ice, he's like, yeah, ice is cool.
- 53:05Charles: I'm gonna veto this law so that we can get ice to be,
- 53:08Charles: we're gonna work with ice.
- 53:11Charles: Go away.
- 53:12Chris: And this has been your politics moment.
- 53:16Charles: Sherry Paulus,
- 53:17Charles: you are a disappointment
- 53:21Charles: to the queer community.
- 53:22Nora: Shame on you.
- 53:23Charles: Shame on you.
- 53:25Nora: Shame.
- 53:26Nora: I don't even support gay rights.
- 53:27Nora: During Pride Month.
- 53:28Nora: I don't even support this gay wrong.
- 53:29Chris: And for legal reasons,
- 53:30Chris: that is not,
- 53:32Chris: not a joke.
- 53:33Chris: This is not a joke, he can go fuck himself.
- 53:36Chris: Yep.
- 53:36Chris: And now back to the jokes.
- 53:37Nora: (laughing)
- 53:40Nora: And you know, it's my favorite time.
- 53:43Charles: Do you guys see what it is in the show notes there?
- 53:44Nora: I sure do.
- 53:46Charles: It's time.
- 53:47Nora: The only bad part about this is we don't get
- 53:49Nora: to eat sourdough because it is Doug Talk.
- 53:52Charles: It is Doug Talk.
- 53:53Charles: I want an introduction for Doug Talk that's like,
- 53:56Charles: like explosion,
- 53:57Charles: that's like Doug Talk.
- 53:59Charles: Yeah,
- 54:00Charles: I like that.
- 54:00Charles: That's good, yeah.
- 54:01Charles: So,
- 54:01Charles: (growls) Doug talk.
- 54:03Nora: We do need an explosion.
- 54:04Nora: So,
- 54:04Mandy: for those of you who don't know,
- 54:06Mandy: Doug is the sourdough starter that we are all
- 54:09Mandy: passing around from person to person
- 54:12Mandy: and failing to make successfully some of them.
- 54:15Mandy: We are-
- 54:15Mandy: Like the STU.
- 54:16Mandy: Yeah, passing around like a cheap whore in Vegas.
- 54:18Charles: I didn't say that part, but yes.
- 54:19Charles: Like a twink in jail.
- 54:21Nora: (laughing)
- 54:23Charles: Happy Pride Month.
- 54:24Charles: Anyway.
- 54:25Mandy: (laughing)
- 54:26Mandy: I don't know what I was doing.
- 54:27Mandy: I mean, I murdered my Doug.
- 54:29Mandy: Really severely.
- 54:30Mandy: So maybe we just you know, don't keep with that.
- 54:32Chris: I also old yellered my dog
- 54:35Nora: What happened to your dog Mandy?
- 54:36Nora: You said mildew II?
- 54:38Mandy: Yeah,
- 54:38Mandy: I
- 54:39Mandy: Sat there and I was like, well, you know, I forgot to feed it for two days
- 54:42Mandy: Let me just open it up and then poof like
- 54:45Mandy: Powdery mildew came out and I was like cool.
- 54:48Mandy: Is this how you get anthrax?
- 54:50Charles: Yes.
- 54:51Mandy: Uh-huh
- 54:51Charles: Oh, I'm saying,
- 54:52Charles: um,
- 54:52Charles: I have a condom virus.
- 54:54Charles: So just be aware we got we got extra Doug for everybody
- 54:57Nora: I probably need to put my dog in the fridge, but I need I need to feed him and then put him in
- 55:01Charles: Yeah, so definitely time to to get Doug ready to go. Well,
- 55:05Charles: we'll figure it out
- 55:06Chris: You know, I I yearn for a simpler time before Doug was a constant presence in our lives
- 55:12Charles: Just gonna say that the urine my thing is like you're in for the simpler days of your top
- 55:18Charles: We're gonna go we're gonna go into this article that I also found today,
- 55:23Charles: which is like news
- 55:25Charles: Actual cool sourdough news like
- 55:29Nora: Archaeological,
- 55:30Charles: so let's jump into it. Let's talk about it.
- 55:32Charles: So Chris you can cut to my screen
- 55:35Charles: apparently
- 55:36Charles: scientists
- 55:41Charles: Bye everyone
- 55:43Charles: Scientists found yeast in a frozen mummy's guts and used it to make sourdough
- 55:48Nora: This is okay, but this is not just rose person any frozen mummy's guts. This is let's see the ice man
- 55:54Nora: This is Otsi the Iceman. I don't know who this is. Can you explain? Oh my gosh.
- 55:58Nora: He is a an extremely famous
- 56:01Nora: very well-preserved body that has told told us so much about what it what it was like to live in the Stone Age and
- 56:09Nora: Somebody recently replicated his coat and it was white and black stripes like his coat had stuff on it
- 56:14Nora: Oh, he also is one of the first
- 56:18Nora: People that you could have proof of tattoos and they I know people who have
- 56:23Nora: Been tattooed in the same like with the same methods that let's see was tattooed
- 56:29Nora: And so they actually would use tattoos as like healing things and so they draw lines over joints
- 56:34Nora: And that would like in their like minds it would like draw out.
- 56:37Nora: You know the bad things, but let's see
- 56:40Chris: He is this this photo. That's on the screen right now is of Otsy,
- 56:44Chris: and it was from
- 56:46Chris: 1991 that was over 35 years ago,
- 56:50Chris: so I'm scared to know what it looks like it looks pretty similar
- 56:53Nora: because people, they tried pretty hard to protect Udzi,
- 56:57Nora: because he's such an important part of like our,
- 57:01Nora: like learning about humanity.
- 57:03Nora: He's so well preserved and he was found in the Alps by some Italian,
- 57:08Nora: Italian Alps, I believe.
- 57:10Nora: And he's extremely important as an archeological
- 57:15Nora: reference point.
- 57:16Mandy: Okay. So my question though, for you all is,
- 57:19Mandy: would you eat the sourdough?
- 57:21Charles: Yes.
- 57:22Charles: From his guts?
- 57:23Charles: Yeah.
- 57:23Mandy: I think I would.
- 57:24Charles: Because there is a title in this article that says,
- 57:27Charles: "Very good sourdough," in big,
- 57:29Charles: bold text.
- 57:31Charles: Very good sourdough.
- 57:33Charles: So they discovered four different yeasts
- 57:35Charles: that can survive sub-zero temperatures in his guts,
- 57:38Charles: skin,
- 57:39Charles: and brownish water that melted off his body when
- 57:41Charles: he was partially unfrozen.
- 57:44Charles: So apparently, the yeast can only
- 57:46Charles: live in very cold conditions,
- 57:48Charles: such as in Antarctica,
- 57:50Charles: which
- 57:50Charles: which is believed to have been entered into his body
- 57:54Charles: at some point after he died.
- 57:56Nora: That's really cool.
- 57:57Nora: And this like,
- 57:58Nora: these kind of yeasts,
- 57:59Nora: this is just the ambient yeast that exists in the world.
- 58:02Nora: That's really cool.
- 58:03Mandy: Yeah, but then I didn't go and make
- 58:05Mandy: sourdough bread out of it.
- 58:06Mandy: So chat,
- 58:06Mandy: let me know,
- 58:08Mandy: are you eating that bread?
- 58:09Charles: (laughing)
- 58:10Charles: I've heard stories of-
- 58:10Mandy: I can barely eat like normal people food.
- 58:13Mandy: So like,
- 58:14Mandy: I'm not about that mummy sourdough life.
- 58:17Nora: Well,
- 58:17Nora: when you're creating,
- 58:18Nora: Like if you start a sourdough starter from scratch,
- 58:22Nora: you just set out some flour and water
- 58:24Nora: and let the ambience like yeast seed it.
- 58:28Nora: So like that's basically,
- 58:30Nora: if you were to set out something that was not Utsi,
- 58:33Nora: that was not a human person in the Antarctic
- 58:36Nora: and have a sourdough starter from that,
- 58:38Nora: I think you could accomplish the same thing
- 58:40Nora: without it being from a human body.
- 58:43Chris: My favorite quote from this article says,
- 58:45Chris: quote, "If you tell anyone you have yeast,
- 58:47Chris: they immediately ask,
- 58:49Chris: "Can we use it for bread?"
- 58:50Chris: It's true.
- 58:51Chris: And they tried to make a sourdough loaf.
- 58:53Chris: Quote,
- 58:53Chris: "Initially it didn't work,
- 58:56Chris: but after three months of effort," quote,
- 58:58Chris: "we had a very,
- 58:59Chris: very good sourdough."
- 59:00Chris: Three months of effort.
- 59:01Mandy: Okay,
- 59:01Mandy: that means not everybody gets it right
- 59:04Mandy: on their first try.
- 59:05Mandy: Sometimes you have to try for three months
- 59:07Mandy: to get your sourdough right.
- 59:08Chris: Well, here's the problem, Mandy.
- 59:09Chris: I don't have a 5,000 year old skeleton
- 59:12Chris: to brew my sourdough in.
- 59:15Chris: (laughing)
- 59:16Chris: It must be.
- 59:17Mandy: Is that what's really keeping you from making
- 59:19Mandy: your first good mummy sourdough?
- 59:20Mandy: He doesn't have Utsi.
- 59:21Chris: I think that's the key that I'm missing,
- 59:23Chris: yeah.
- 59:23Chris: I'm just putting it out there right now.
- 59:25Chris: That and not enough salt and too much water
- 59:27Chris: and basically just a complete misunderstanding
- 59:30Chris: of how baking works.
- 59:31Charles: If I got access to Utsi's yeast,
- 59:35Charles: I would have done it in time for one.
- 59:36Mandy: Right?
- 59:37Mandy: Alex in the chat is right.
- 59:39Mandy: Mummy sourdough is how The Last of Us happens.
- 59:42Mandy: Oh shit. - That's Lin.
- 59:44Nora: That's Lin,
- 59:45Nora: isn't it?
- 59:45Nora: Yeah, that's how you have it.
- 59:46Nora: No, that's not Lin.
- 59:47Mandy: Nope,
- 59:47Mandy: that one was,
- 59:48Mandy: nope,
- 59:48Mandy: sorry, that was, sorry.
- 59:49Mandy: That's our new best friend,
- 59:50Mandy: Alex.
- 59:51Mandy: No, Alex was the one who said
- 59:52Mandy: that they would not eat the mummy sourdough,
- 59:55Mandy: but only 'cause this night,
- 59:56Mandy: but would have it for breakfast.
- 59:58Mandy: (laughing)
- 1:00:00Nora: I like it.
- 1:00:02Video: That's good.
- 1:00:03Nora: Uzi's very cool, and we have learned a lot,
- 1:00:05Nora: and like, he was fashionable.
- 1:00:06Nora: It's so cool to like,
- 1:00:08Nora: see the similarities of humanity
- 1:00:10Nora: from now and then, although like,
- 1:00:12Nora: I don't know,
- 1:00:13Nora: eating yeast from his body feels a little bit adjacent
- 1:00:17Nora: to learning about Etsy in general.
- 1:00:19Charles: It's so interesting,
- 1:00:20Charles: like going through this article,
- 1:00:21Charles: they're like talking about like what he had
- 1:00:24Charles: as his like last meals,
- 1:00:26Charles: being like deer and goat and wheat.
- 1:00:28Nora: Yeah.
- 1:00:28Charles: Which is like,
- 1:00:29Charles: how,
- 1:00:30Charles: like-
- 1:00:30Charles: It's preserved.
- 1:00:30Charles: The science of this is just so interesting.
- 1:00:34Charles: And like we could do like a deep dive into this.
- 1:00:36Nora: He's so well preserved.
- 1:00:38Nora: Like that's why we were able to learn so much
- 1:00:40Nora: because he is so well preserved.
- 1:00:42Nora: It's amazing,
- 1:00:43Nora: it's so amazing.
- 1:00:45Charles: I'd eat the sourdough.
- 1:00:46Nora: Yeah,
- 1:00:47Nora: back in middle school I was really into-
- 1:00:50Charles: Sourdough?
- 1:00:50Nora: No, I was really into mammoths.
- 1:00:52Nora: And I wanted to de-extinct the mammoth,
- 1:00:56Nora: which is why I have the shirt that I usually wear
- 1:00:59Nora: that says,
- 1:01:00Nora: "If history repeats itself,
- 1:01:01Nora: "I'm getting a mammoth."
- 1:01:03Nora: But I was super into resurrecting,
- 1:01:06Nora: like de-extincting mammoths,
- 1:01:07Nora: and so all of these prehistoric frozen bodies and things,
- 1:01:11Nora: They're really, really cool.
- 1:01:12Nora: And while global warming is overall a bad thing,
- 1:01:17Nora: we are seeing really cool artifacts come out of the dice.
- 1:01:22Charles: That's awesome,
- 1:01:23Nora: that's so cool.
- 1:01:23Nora: It's really cool.
- 1:01:24Charles: When are we doing this dug off?
- 1:01:27Nora: I think we-
- 1:01:29Nora: We need to set a date.
- 1:01:31Nora: September.
- 1:01:36Charles: I'm getting cut off.
- 1:01:38Chris: It's time for the Marble Minute.
- 1:01:40Chris: So we have been following the 2026 Marble League.
- 1:01:44Chris: As you can see on the screen,
- 1:01:45Chris: Charles has chosen the Indigo Stars.
- 1:01:48Chris: (laughing)
- 1:01:49Chris: First appeared in Marble League competition.
- 1:01:51Video: Nora has chosen the Chocolatiers by default.
- 1:01:53Video: Mandy has the Pinkies.
- 1:01:57Chris: And as you can see, here are the current standings.
- 1:01:59Chris: Charles is in first.
- 1:02:01Chris: The Indigo Stars are kicking ass at the moment.
- 1:02:04Chris: Mandy with the Pinkies is in fifth place.
- 1:02:06Chris: Nora with the Chocolatiers is in 12th.
- 1:02:08Chris: and I am way, way, way behind in 14th place.
- 1:02:13Chris: This is the most recent event,
- 1:02:15Chris: not including today's,
- 1:02:16Chris: which aired a little bit earlier today,
- 1:02:18Chris: so we'll talk about that next week.
- 1:02:20Chris: This is the Halfpipe event.
- 1:02:22Video: Okay.
- 1:02:23Chris: The longer time,
- 1:02:25Video: the better.
- 1:02:27Video: We've all been there.
- 1:02:29Video: Pinkies.
- 1:02:30Video: Pinkies.
- 1:02:30Video: King Charles V.
- 1:02:31Video: The stars are up now.
- 1:02:32Video: The Pinkies sit in fifth in the standings.
- 1:02:34Nora: What happened to you?
- 1:02:35Nora: Ooh, this is Pinkies.
- 1:02:36Nora: This is Charles versus Mandy right here.
- 1:02:38Chris: Basically the longer you stay in the half pipe,
- 1:02:40Chris: the better off you are.
- 1:02:42Nora: All right,
- 1:02:42Nora: Mandy.
- 1:02:43Chris: There are each run,
- 1:02:45Chris: there's two runs per heat
- 1:02:47Chris: and that's the average of the two.
- 1:02:49Mandy: You already know what happens,
- 1:02:49Mandy: don't you?
- 1:02:50Chris: I do, but I don't remember.
- 1:02:53Mandy: Come on pinkies, come on pinkies, come on pinkies.
- 1:02:56Mandy: I love this.
- 1:02:57Mandy: Mama wants a croissant.
- 1:02:59Nora: Because it's literally all love.
- 1:03:03Charles: Oh man,
- 1:03:03Charles: oh.
- 1:03:03Video: Yes pinkies.
- 1:03:05Video: Wow.
- 1:03:07Video: Oh,
- 1:03:09Video: hey,
- 1:03:09Video: wow.
- 1:03:09Video: Pinkies and it is 32 seconds extra.
- 1:03:13Video: Dang.
- 1:03:15Video: 6661 to a 6107.
- 1:03:18Video: That knocks out.
- 1:03:19Video: Yeah, the Indy crew Mandy is wearing her pinkies.
- 1:03:22Charles: I want to I love the little jerseys in the in the audience.
- 1:03:26Nora: I know the audience is so cute.
- 1:03:29Chris: I have to have pocket does not touch.
- 1:03:31Chris: Yeah,
- 1:03:31Chris: grab raspberry racers and the chocolatiers.
- 1:03:33Nora: Yeah,
- 1:03:33Nora: the Chocolatiers are not looking great.
- 1:03:36Nora: Dang that yeah, that was rough.
- 1:03:38Nora: Not great,
- 1:03:39Nora: not great.
- 1:03:42Nora: Yeah,
- 1:03:42Nora: it's not great.
- 1:03:43Video: It was close 3130 close.
- 1:03:45Video: Yeah, 30.97 racers have seen a lot of movement over the course of this tournament
- 1:03:49Video: and they are now nipping at the heels of the Indigo Stars,
- 1:03:53Video: especially with an going to be hard to beat the Raspberry Racers
- 1:03:55Video: or at least a lower classification for the Indigo Stars earlier on in this.
- 1:03:59Video: There you go.
- 1:04:00Video: Chocolatiers.
- 1:04:01Nora: There we go.
- 1:04:01Nora: Okay,
- 1:04:02Nora: that was like a pretty even finish for that one.
- 1:04:05Video: What does run number two do?
- 1:04:06Video: This was fairly close.
- 1:04:07Video: Yeah.
- 1:04:08Video: Oh yes it was.
- 1:04:09Video: Very close.
- 1:04:09Video: Half a second between them, not even.
- 1:04:11Video: Ooh, all right.
- 1:04:11Video: Two of the Targets,
- 1:04:12Video: the Raspberry Racers into fifth
- 1:04:14Video: and the Chocolatiers into seventh.
- 1:04:16Video: And yes, I love the crowd shots.
- 1:04:19Video: Here's my team, the Crazy Cat's Eyes
- 1:04:20Video: against the Savage Speeders, who I hate.
- 1:04:24Video: Oh man.
- 1:04:25Nora: Oh, you got something good going on back there right though.
- 1:04:29Chris: Mine are not all the same color.
- 1:04:30Chris: They have the Cat's Eyes.
- 1:04:31Nora: Yeah. - And shape.
- 1:05:01Nora: Can make the league?
- 1:05:01Nora: The Kobalts.
- 1:05:02Chris: No, I mean,
- 1:05:03Chris: they have like 30 some teams
- 1:05:05Chris: and only 16 teams make it.
- 1:05:06Chris: At the half pipe.
- 1:05:07Chris: Standing atop the podium.
- 1:05:09Chris: So Mandy's team gets the bronze.
- 1:05:12Chris: Okay.
- 1:05:12Chris: Nice.
- 1:05:13Nora: Okay.
- 1:05:14Nora: I still don't have any medals.
- 1:05:15Video: It's just the third gold medal for the Kobalts.
- 1:05:18Nora: Nope.
- 1:05:19Nora: Oh, you don't.
- 1:05:20Nora: All the tiers have no medals.
- 1:05:22Chris: So Charles dips down to second place.
- 1:05:24Chris: Mandy's holding it at four.
- 1:05:27Chris: Nora dips down to 14th and I drop down to 15th.
- 1:05:30Nora: Medals,
- 1:05:31Nora: that's what's,
- 1:05:32Nora: yeah.
- 1:05:32Chris: Yeah.
- 1:05:33Chris: I just wanna play-
- 1:05:34Chris: It's not looking good for your boy here.
- 1:05:35Nora: I just wanna play marbles now.
- 1:05:37Nora: I just wanna,
- 1:05:38Nora: my dad used to collect marbles as a kid
- 1:05:40Nora: and he tried to teach us how to play marbles
- 1:05:42Nora: but then me and my sisters just played and sorted them
- 1:05:44Nora: and played with all the texture because they're so pretty.
- 1:05:48Mandy: Okay, I'm only involved in it
- 1:05:49Mandy: if you're gonna create elaborate backstories for them.
- 1:05:52Mandy: Okay. - Like this guy did.
- 1:05:53Mandy: Question,
- 1:05:55Charles: can somebody explain to me,
- 1:05:57Charles: How does Nora have zero medals
- 1:06:00Charles: and is still not in last place?
- 1:06:02Nora: So it's-
- 1:06:03Chris: Because whether you get medals or not,
- 1:06:07Chris: you still get points for where you place in events.
- 1:06:10Nora: Right.
- 1:06:10Chris: So the point totals is what determines your place,
- 1:06:13Chris: is not the medals.
- 1:06:14Nora: Right.
- 1:06:15Chris: Got it, got it.
- 1:06:16Nora: But the more medals you have,
- 1:06:17Nora: the more likely you are to be higher rated
- 1:06:19Nora: because you get more points.
- 1:06:21Charles: Got it. - Exactly.
- 1:06:21Charles: The more medals you get.
- 1:06:22Charles: Cool,
- 1:06:23Charles: that makes more sense.
- 1:06:24Charles: Okay,
- 1:06:25Charles: so I'm still leading our little game here.
- 1:06:30Nora: (laughing)
- 1:06:30Nora: Even though he doesn't know how it works.
- 1:06:32Charles: I don't know, maybe he's supposed to know
- 1:06:34Charles: how to play.
- 1:06:35Chris: I don't know how sports work.
- 1:06:36Chris: It's 'cause I'm repping my team.
- 1:06:38Chris: Yeah. - Yeah.
- 1:06:39Chris: And that is official Marble League merchandise,
- 1:06:42Chris: folks.
- 1:06:43Chris: We are not being sponsored by this,
- 1:06:45Chris: it's just something we enjoy,
- 1:06:47Chris: so check out
- 1:06:48Chris: Yell Is Marble Runs on YouTube.
- 1:06:50Chris: It's a lot of fun.
- 1:06:51Nora: It is a lot of fun.
- 1:06:52Chris: And what we're showing here is just a very condensed version of the event that only shows
- 1:06:57Chris: our teams.
- 1:06:58Chris: So the actual events are much longer and there's more backstory and stuff we don't have time
- 1:07:03Chris: for.
- 1:07:03Chris: So please,
- 1:07:04Chris: if you enjoy that kind of stuff, check it out.
- 1:07:07Nora: Yeah, it's been,
- 1:07:08Nora: even though like I didn't get to choose my team,
- 1:07:10Nora: maybe next year I'll
- 1:07:11Nora: get to choose my team.
- 1:07:12Nora: You have to show up.
- 1:07:13Nora: I'm glad you're here.
- 1:07:16Nora: I think I was moving.
- 1:07:16Nora: If you want to be one of us,
- 1:07:17Nora: you have to show up.
- 1:07:19Nora: But I do.
- 1:07:21Nora: random it is like like it's all marbles like there's no they're doing everything to make it as
- 1:07:27Nora: You know even as possible and yet there's still teams that win. I like that a lot
- 1:07:32Chris: When when does the Marble League and there are 16 total events?
- 1:07:37Chris: So the 11th, I believe just happens today
- 1:07:40Chris: So should be in the next couple of weeks here when a little bit today and how many events do they do every week?
- 1:07:46Chris: I want to say they do an episode like every three or four days something like that
- 1:07:52Chris: Okay, so it's not like pretty it's like to a week ish. I think so. Yeah, it makes sense
- 1:07:55Mandy: Okay for the listeners who weren't here when we decided who was getting the team and that we were going all out
- 1:08:01Mandy: Whoever's team wins gets to have their choice of baked goods from the losers,
- 1:08:06Mandy: right?
- 1:08:07Mandy: So there's some state high stakes exactly or high croissants. That's true.
- 1:08:16Chris: I
- 1:08:16Chris: We have got to take a couple of minutes to prepare our next segment
- 1:08:20Chris: So if Charles can give me some mood music,
- 1:08:23Chris: I'm gonna do our sponsors.
- 1:08:25Charles: Ooh
- 1:08:26Charles: Chris what are you?
- 1:08:26Charles: What are we doing? Oh,
- 1:08:28Charles: you know what?
- 1:08:30Charles: Here we go
- 1:08:36Chris: Folks
- 1:08:38Chris: Let me tell you a little bit about the internet
- 1:08:42Chris: There's a lot of great stuff on the internet.

- 1:09:30Chris: Because it's Pride Month.
- 1:09:31Chris: No,
- 1:09:32Chris: not because it's Pride Month.
- 1:09:34Chris: We do it all year long
- 1:09:36Chris: We have a radio station called the riot Charles. Why is it named the riot because pride?
- 1:09:43Chris: Started with a riot and it continues today the riot continues the struggle continues

- 1:11:18Charles: Aw, yay!
- 1:11:19Charles: You get a little applause,
- 1:11:21Chris: Chris.
- 1:11:22Chris: Thank you. - You did such a good job.
- 1:11:24Chris: Thank you.
- 1:11:24Chris: And now it's time for.
- 1:11:30Chris: And now it's time for Tasty Little Treats
- 1:11:34Charles: for tasty little guides.
- 1:11:38Charles: We got the food.
- 1:11:40Nora: This is like.
- 1:11:41Nora: It's in here.
- 1:11:42Nora: I'm so excited, there's so many smells.
- 1:11:44Nora: It smells awful.
- 1:11:46Chris: There are a lot of smells.
- 1:11:47Chris: And I must say here in the control room,
- 1:11:52Chris: they're both sitting directly in front of Mandy's face.
- 1:11:55Chris: And I am surprised that she is not throwing up right now.
- 1:11:58Mandy: I am like gagging.
- 1:12:00Mandy: I have barfing, it's been a rough couple of days
- 1:12:02Mandy: and this is not making any sense.
- 1:12:03Mandy: It was my idea right yeah, so I have issues sleeping a lot
- 1:12:07Mandy: And I hate shopping and the thing I hate most is grocery shopping
- 1:12:11Mandy: So I do that as a way to like bore myself to sleep when I can't sleep
- 1:12:14Mandy: Mm-hmm,
- 1:12:15Mandy: but then that means when if I execute the cart. I don't know what I've just ordered
- 1:12:19Mandy: Three o'clock in the morning
- 1:12:21Mandy: You know not sleeping
- 1:12:24Mandy: And that is how we ended up with today's tasty treats,
- 1:12:26Mandy: so
- 1:12:27Mandy: Charles would you like to introduce the the main event?
- 1:12:31Charles: Here we are folks.
- 1:12:33Charles: We've got some
- 1:12:35Nora: The summer cookout cookout tasty little treats now.
- 1:12:39Chris: Here's here. Can you get that into the into this close-up cam?
- 1:12:44Nora: Maybe up there we go
- 1:12:47Chris: Where's the hot dog?
- 1:12:53Charles: So the first thing oh, yeah text about she was like this was weeks ago we got this tech
- 1:12:59Nora: Yeah,
- 1:12:59Nora: she said,
- 1:13:00Nora: "I guess it was in my shopping cart.
- 1:13:02Nora: "I ended up with these."
- 1:13:04Charles: Dr.
- 1:13:04Charles: Pepper smoked sausages.
- 1:13:07Charles: Yep,
- 1:13:08Charles: oh and it dripped.
- 1:13:10Charles: Okay,
- 1:13:10Nora: love that.
- 1:13:10Chris: Gross.
- 1:13:11Chris: And folks,
- 1:13:12Chris: if you're new to the show,
- 1:13:13Chris: we have not tried this stuff beforehand.
- 1:13:15Chris: We don't know what it tastes like.
- 1:13:17Chris: We are torturing ourselves and potentially throwing up
- 1:13:21Nora: for your enjoyment. - Live on camera.
- 1:13:22Charles: So we also have a few other things in here
- 1:13:25Charles: and here's the problem. - I don't know which is which.
- 1:13:28Charles: I don't think we should know.
- 1:13:31Charles: I think that's a good-
- 1:13:32Charles: We have two different kinds of baked beans.
- 1:13:34Charles: We have Dr. Pepper sweet and a bit sassy baked beans.
- 1:13:42Nora: Which we need a shirt of this, 'cause it's fantastic.
- 1:13:44Charles: And then the true offender.
- 1:13:48Nora: We're getting a lot of smells from.
- 1:13:50Chris: Apple pie.
- 1:13:51Nora: That's so gross.
- 1:13:52Nora: We're getting a lot of smells from this.
- 1:13:53Chris: I really don't understand the concept
- 1:13:55Chris: of apple pie baked beans.
- 1:13:58Mandy: Horror,
- 1:13:59Mandy: horror,
- 1:13:59Mandy: someone hates peewee.
- 1:14:00Charles: Then.
- 1:14:01Charles: The final, the piece de resistance,
- 1:14:05Charles: beer flavored Pringles chips.
- 1:14:08Charles: And not just beer. - Beer cheese.
- 1:14:09Nora: Beer cheese burger.
- 1:14:10Charles: Beer cheese burger Miller Lite.
- 1:14:13Charles: (laughing)
- 1:14:15Nora: Beer cheese burger Pringles. - That is utterly disgusting.
- 1:14:18Chris: God, I'm so excited.
- 1:14:20Mandy: I can tell you the sausages,
- 1:14:23Mandy: the Dr. Pepper sausages were sleep fever induced.
- 1:14:27Mandy: The rest of it,
- 1:14:28Mandy: stone cold sober.
- 1:14:30Mandy: (laughing)
- 1:14:31Mandy: Saw that and was like, wow, that's gross.
- 1:14:32Mandy: I need someone to eat that.
- 1:14:34Chris: Yeah,
- 1:14:34Chris: folks, before you think this is a case
- 1:14:36Chris: of like munchies or you know, those sorts of things,
- 1:14:40Chris: Mandy is not the sort of person
- 1:14:43Chris: who works with a lot of substances.
- 1:14:45Chris: So this is just Mandy being sober
- 1:14:50Chris: at three o'clock in the morning.
- 1:14:51Mandy: Yeah, sadly.
- 1:14:53Mandy: Okay,
- 1:14:53Mandy: so.
- 1:14:54Mandy: Okay, let's do it guys.
- 1:14:55Mandy: Which one are we trying first?
- 1:14:56Mandy: Let's go for the hot dog, the star of the show.
- 1:14:59Charles: Okay, I'm gonna do this just plain,
- 1:15:01Charles: first off.
- 1:15:01Charles: By the way,
- 1:15:02Charles: I think I have ARFID now,
- 1:15:04Charles: smelling all of this.
- 1:15:05Mandy: It's so gross!
- 1:15:06Charles: It's not great,
- 1:15:08Charles: okay.
- 1:15:08Mandy: I'm gonna struggle.
- 1:15:09Charles: Cheers,
- 1:15:10Charles: cheers,
- 1:15:10Charles: cheers.
- 1:15:11Charles: Cheers.
- 1:15:14Mandy: Oh God,
- 1:15:15Mandy: cheers.
- 1:15:17Mandy: Oh, hold on.
- 1:15:20Mandy: Cheers.
- 1:15:21Mandy: Gross.
- 1:15:22Mandy: Here we go.
- 1:15:24Nora: Unfortunately,
- 1:15:24Nora: I could eat more of that.
- 1:15:26Mandy: Uh-huh.
- 1:15:28Charles: I spit it out.
- 1:15:29Mandy: I'm taking that too.
- 1:15:31Mandy: (moans)
- 1:15:34Charles: That was,
- 1:15:35Charles: you could eat more of it?
- 1:15:37Charles: That's kind of there.
- 1:15:38Charles: Okay,
- 1:15:39Charles: so I thought that this was gonna be
- 1:15:41Charles: the least horrendous of them.
- 1:15:43Charles: However, this is so offensive.
- 1:15:46Video: Oh my God, it's so bad.
- 1:15:48Charles: Yeah, it's pretty gross.
- 1:15:49Charles: Make it stop.
- 1:15:50Charles: Because it's like,
- 1:15:51Charles: it's sweet.
- 1:15:53Charles: And it doesn't taste like, you know how Dr. Pepper
- 1:15:55Charles: is very rich in a lot of different flavors
- 1:15:59Charles: and has some spice to it?
- 1:16:00Charles: I was expecting it was cooked in,
- 1:16:03Charles: 'cause sometimes you cook barbecue in a Dr. Pepper,
- 1:16:05Charles: that's something that you would normally do sometimes
- 1:16:08Charles: or like a Coke.
- 1:16:10Charles: This is horrendous.
- 1:16:12Mandy: Let the record show,
- 1:16:14Mandy: Charles,
- 1:16:14Mandy: when I showed this,
- 1:16:15Mandy: went,
- 1:16:16Mandy: "Oh, I bet those are actually really good."
- 1:16:18Charles: Yes,
- 1:16:19Charles: I was thinking that they were gonna be decent.
- 1:16:21Charles: They're sticky. - Another one
- 1:16:22Nora: of the white man's lies.
- 1:16:23Nora: They are sticky.
- 1:16:24Charles: This is,
- 1:16:25Charles: okay, hold on.
- 1:16:26Nora: It like sticks to the bun.
- 1:16:28Nora: Like,
- 1:16:29Nora: there's stickiness to it.
- 1:16:30Mandy: Did you eat another bit?
- 1:16:32Mandy: Like, did you eat another bite of it?
- 1:16:34Chris: No.
- 1:16:35Mandy: Okay.
- 1:16:36Chris: I've gotta imagine the stickiness is probably
- 1:16:38Chris: like the glaze of the Dr. Pepper flavoring.
- 1:16:41Mandy: What is sticking out of your hot dog?
- 1:16:44Chris: Oh, it's like a fork.
- 1:16:47Chris: That did not come with the hot dog.
- 1:16:49Charles: That's why it tastes so bad.
- 1:16:50Charles: This is fine now.
- 1:16:51Charles: Oh yeah.
- 1:16:52Charles: It was very plasticky and fork-like.
- 1:16:54Mandy: Tell us what you think,
- 1:16:55Mandy: 'cause you seem to be eating it
- 1:16:57Charles: just like a squid. - Nora's almost done with it.
- 1:16:58Nora: I don't hate it.
- 1:16:59Nora: It's good with ketchup and mustard.
- 1:17:01Mandy: Yeah,
- 1:17:01Mandy: okay, I haven't been brave enough to try it.
- 1:17:03Chris: I'm scared to try it with ketchup and mustard.
- 1:17:05Mandy: You do it first, you do it first.
- 1:17:06Chris: I can't.
- 1:17:07Mandy: You do it first.
- 1:17:08Chris: Okay, hold on, let me dip.
- 1:17:12Chris: I'm not doing it.
- 1:17:14Chris: Mustard,
- 1:17:15Chris: ketchup.
- 1:17:16Mandy: Okay.
- 1:17:18Mandy: Is that better?
- 1:17:21Charles: I hear you chomping over there, Nora,
- 1:17:23Charles: and I want to die.
- 1:17:26Charles: Sorry.
- 1:17:26Charles: You're just like,
- 1:17:27Charles: yum, yum, yum,
- 1:17:28Charles: yum, yum.
- 1:17:28Charles: This tastes,
- 1:17:29Charles: this is horrendous.
- 1:17:31Charles: What is?
- 1:17:32Chris: I wouldn't buy it.
- 1:17:33Chris: With ketchup and mustard,
- 1:17:35Chris: it kind of masks the Dr. Pepper flavor,
- 1:17:38Chris: and it just tastes like a regular hot dog.
- 1:17:41Nora: Which is why I think I like it.
- 1:17:42Nora: I like hot dogs.
- 1:17:44Chris: If you want to pay what I assume is a premium
- 1:17:47Chris: for Dr. Pepper hot dogs,
- 1:17:50Chris: and remove the Dr. Pepper flavoring
- 1:17:52Chris: and just make them a regular hot dog,
- 1:17:53Chris: they're fine.
- 1:17:54Nora: Well, and this one is a premium pork one.
- 1:17:56Nora: There is,
- 1:17:57Nora: this one's 100% pork.
- 1:17:59Nora: There's also a bratwurst version of this,
- 1:18:01Nora: 'cause this one's just the smoked sausage.
- 1:18:02Nora: There is another version of-
- 1:18:04Mandy: 3AMMe did not find that version.
- 1:18:06Nora: Yeah,
- 1:18:07Nora: I-
- 1:18:07Chris: I think a bratwurst would probably be
- 1:18:09Chris: a little bit better, but that's only very relatively.
- 1:18:12Nora: I just had another hot dog delivered to me.
- 1:18:14Nora: (laughing)
- 1:18:15Nora: Are you getting another?
- 1:18:16Nora: Hot dog delivery!
- 1:18:17Nora: Yay!
- 1:18:18Nora: Getting another one?
- 1:18:19Nora: I might.
- 1:18:21Nora: (laughs)
- 1:18:22Chris: Charles, it's Pride Month
- 1:18:24Chris: and you're throwing hot dogs at Nora.
- 1:18:27Chris: My hands smell like it.
- 1:18:30Nora: That's 'cause you touched it.
- 1:18:32Charles: It's, folks at home,
- 1:18:34Charles: this is legitimately,
- 1:18:36Charles: I-
- 1:18:37Nora: There is a bit of a Dr. Pepper flavor at the end.
- 1:18:40Nora: Would you eat it as a breakfast sausage?
- 1:18:42Nora: I would not eat it. - No.
- 1:18:45Chris: No.
- 1:18:45Mandy: That actually makes it a little more sensual.
- 1:18:47Nora: 'Cause my brain says-- - It's sweeter.
- 1:18:48Nora: My brain says it's a little bit sweet.
- 1:18:50Nora: Like a maple sausage.
- 1:18:50Nora: You think of a maple sausage,
- 1:18:52Nora: you think of a sausage with some spices,
- 1:18:54Nora: you think of putting maple syrup on sausage with some eggs.
- 1:18:57Nora: Yeah.
- 1:18:58Nora: I think I'd probably eat it.
- 1:19:00Chris: I mean,
- 1:19:00Chris: maple syrup is one thing.
- 1:19:01Chris: I love maple syrup and sausage together.
- 1:19:04Chris: I think it's a great combination.
- 1:19:05Chris: I can't imagine doing the same thing
- 1:19:07Chris: with something that is flavored like Dr. Pepper.
- 1:19:09Mandy: This is like-
- 1:19:10Mandy: Speaking of things that are flavored like Dr. Pepper,
- 1:19:11Mandy: let's see if we can figure out
- 1:19:12Mandy: which baked beans are Dr. Pepper flavored.
- 1:19:15Mandy: Oh, okay.
- 1:19:15Video: Are we doing a lot through the right ones?
- 1:19:17Mandy: I'm not eating them.
- 1:19:18Mandy: I am allergic which one everything in them,
- 1:19:20Charles: right?
- 1:19:22Mandy: Let's do
- 1:19:23Charles: Let's work clock. I know which one's the dr. Pepper one this one's dr. Pepper, and yeah, it's gonna be apple pie,
- 1:19:28Nora: okay?
- 1:19:29Charles: Calling it now
- 1:19:30Chris: So the first one we're trying right now is what I think is in the chat are saying don't die and I appreciate the support
- 1:19:39Charles: You're wrong those were the apple pie was
- 1:19:44Nora: I'm not eating a second bite of that
- 1:19:46Nora: Ugh,
- 1:19:48Nora: I just tasted the apple pie.
- 1:19:50Nora: That's not good.
- 1:19:51Nora: That is patently not good.
- 1:19:54Nora: Oh my god.
- 1:19:55Nora: That is-
- 1:19:55Nora: I'm trying to push buttons without throwing up.
- 1:19:58Nora: (laughing)
- 1:20:00Nora: That has definite apple pie bean undertones.
- 1:20:06Nora: Overtones.
- 1:20:07Nora: I'm really enjoying this
- 1:20:09Mandy: 'cause I'm just watching everyone else.
- 1:20:10Nora: Overtones.
- 1:20:11Nora: In fact,
- 1:20:12Nora: I'm gonna clear my palate here.
- 1:20:15Nora: That is so vile.
- 1:20:16Mandy: I'm reading another one!
- 1:20:18Mandy: Oh my god, you really are, I love you Nora.
- 1:20:20Mandy: I love you so much.
- 1:20:22Mandy: I am enjoying this immensely,
- 1:20:23Mandy: 'cause I just get to watch and observe our viewers,
- 1:20:26Mandy: and it's amazing.
- 1:20:28Mandy: (snorting)
- 1:20:30Charles: Remember when we named this bit Tasty Little Treats?
- 1:20:34Nora: There was always some irony to Tasty Little Treats.
- 1:20:38Chris: Charles, you need to make another graphic
- 1:20:39Chris: that's Nasty Little Treats by Tasty Little Treats.
- 1:20:42Charles: I have brought in-- - I'm nasty,
- 1:20:43Charles: you guys.
- 1:20:43Charles: I have brought in weird snacks.
- 1:20:46Charles: However,
- 1:20:46Charles: a majority of them have been decent.
- 1:20:51Charles: Okay, I'm trying the Dr. Pepper ones now.
- 1:20:52Nora: I don't know why.
- 1:20:55Nora: Yeah, let's try these-
- 1:20:57Chris: Dr. Pepper ones?
- 1:20:57Nora: Dr. Pepper beans.
- 1:20:58Chris: So here's Dr. Pepper beans of death,
- 1:21:00Chris: probably.
- 1:21:01Nora: You guys aren't gonna like that.
- 1:21:02Chris: (Brennan burps)
- 1:21:03Chris: I'm not even trying them.
- 1:21:04Chris: No, I am,
- 1:21:05Chris: I'm doing it.
- 1:21:06Chris: Okay,
- 1:21:07Chris: so.
- 1:21:08Chris: (Brennan retches)
- 1:21:09Chris: Well, they don't make me wanna retch like the apple pie.
- 1:21:12Chris: Oh, what are you talking about?
- 1:21:13Charles: That was horrible.
- 1:21:16Nora: That one's not good either.
- 1:21:17Nora: Oh my God.
- 1:21:19Nora: That one tastes like it has like,
- 1:21:21Nora: like there's like a floral fruity undertone to it,
- 1:21:24Nora: which is quite unpleasant.
- 1:21:26Chris: Yeah, I get like a kind of a sugary candy
- 1:21:29Chris: sort of vibe to it,
- 1:21:30Chris: but baked beans already has that kind of flavor.
- 1:21:33Chris: So it's not nearly as pronounced as the apple puke one.
- 1:21:37Nora: I knew these beans were gonna be bad.
- 1:21:40Nora: These are bad beans.
- 1:21:42Nora: These are bad beans.
- 1:21:43Nora: Like I have to cleanse my palate with the bad hot dog
- 1:21:47Charles: Except you enjoy the hot dog. I feel like I'm about to yarf. Y'all I may have to step away
- 1:21:52Nora: It would be nice to have some water or something. No
- 1:21:57Mandy: Anonymous person anonymous person a drink or something is being summoned
- 1:22:03Nora: Perfect,
- 1:22:04Charles: okay, this is gonna be fine beer cheeseburger.
- 1:22:07Charles: Take yours.
- 1:22:08Nora: It's gonna taste like all of the above is gonna be fine
- 1:22:12Charles: He says hopefully no no no that's not good.
- 1:22:17Nora: No, that's not good
- 1:22:21Nora: That is
- 1:22:24Nora: Not good not good
- 1:22:28Nora: Mystery treats
- 1:22:32Charles: Thank you
- 1:22:35Nora: We need a palate cleanser here like meat and spoiled
- 1:22:41Nora: spoiled
- 1:22:41Nora: Yeah, it's like Miller Lite,
- 1:22:44Nora: but it also tastes like burger grease
- 1:22:47Chris: The second bite is not nearly as good as the first. I don't know
- 1:22:51Charles: It tastes
- 1:22:54Charles: You know what it tastes like it tastes like those shitty ass like
- 1:22:58Charles: Like burgers that you get like there are like the the microwave ones
- 1:23:02Charles: Then you get at like pubs and stuff like that like those nasty ass like frozen White Castle burgers
- 1:23:09Mandy: That's what it tastes like my brother loves those it's crystals instead of White Castle,
- 1:23:13Chris: but people love crystals though
- 1:23:18Chris: Right,
- 1:23:18Chris: right
- 1:23:20Nora: A lot of cheese flavor and yes, there is an undercurrent of beer,
- 1:23:25Nora: but it's also tastes like a greasy
- 1:23:27Nora: Frozen burger.
- 1:23:28Nora: Yeah,
- 1:23:29Chris: I want to die not good.
- 1:23:31Chris: It tastes like stale cheese,
- 1:23:32Chris: which I didn't even realize was a thing
- 1:23:34Chris: But now here we are
- 1:23:36Chris: I didn't eat the second one.
- 1:23:38Chris: I don't want the second one
- 1:23:40Chris: The second one okay second chip.
- 1:23:43Chris: I'll eat a second
- 1:23:44Mandy: fucking better
- 1:23:46Mandy: I think cringles on the first bite sometimes. They are pretty bad.
- 1:23:50Mandy: I maybe the second one's better is it better no
- 1:23:57Chris: Got worse somehow
- 1:24:00Mandy: Like do the apology light and apologize for inflicting this on everyone.
- 1:24:04Charles: I'm just associating over here
- 1:24:06Charles: Nora's calling me out for disassociating.
- 1:24:09Chris: As well as you should.
- 1:24:11Charles: I,
- 1:24:14Charles: I feel like maybe I need to quit this show.
- 1:24:18Charles: (laughing)
- 1:24:18Mandy: I love that this is what pushed you over the edge.
- 1:24:24Mandy: Charles,
- 1:24:24Mandy: you were the one that were,
- 1:24:25Mandy: you were like, "Oh, I bet the Dr. Pepper thing is good."
- 1:24:28Mandy: And before,
- 1:24:29Mandy: you were like,
- 1:24:30Mandy: "Oh, I bet the Dr. Pepper beans are gonna slap."
- 1:24:32Mandy: I think that was a direct quote.
- 1:24:34Charles: It was, I was there.
- 1:24:35Charles: Cooking with dr. Pepper.
- 1:24:37Charles: It can be really good like especially in like barbecue.
- 1:24:40Charles: However,
- 1:24:41Charles: what this is not
- 1:24:42Chris: Is this this is not cooking?
- 1:24:45Chris: This is ultra processed
- 1:24:48Chris: Chemical additives.
- 1:24:50Chris: It's not the same as if you took a can of dr. Pepper and added it to your barbecue
- 1:24:54Nora: No, it's not it is not
- 1:24:56Nora: It's if you take the chemicals if you if you take the essence out of dr
- 1:25:00Nora: Pepper and then remove everything that makes it good and then put it back into the food
- 1:25:05Chris: Don't worry,
- 1:25:06Chris: Alex, we are not gonna die.
- 1:25:07Chris: We're just very unhappy.
- 1:25:10Nora: (laughing)
- 1:25:11Nora: Charles might die.
- 1:25:13Nora: (laughing)
- 1:25:13Nora: My gift to the show.
- 1:25:15Nora: (laughing)
- 1:25:16Nora: Look, that one's gluten free,
- 1:25:18Nora: so those beans are just, they're healthy.
- 1:25:20Chris: I've never been more glad
- 1:25:21Chris: that we don't do this segment every week.
- 1:25:23Nora: (laughing)
- 1:25:23Nora: I know,
- 1:25:25Nora: yeah.
- 1:25:28Nora: Honestly, worth the hype.
- 1:25:30Nora: (laughing)
- 1:25:33Nora: No, I love it, Nora's enjoying this.
- 1:25:35Charles: You are a monster.
- 1:25:37Charles: You are a monster.
- 1:25:38Charles: I'm having a great time.
- 1:25:40Charles: You are the weirdest,
- 1:25:43Charles: strangest person.
- 1:25:44Mandy: I love Nora.
- 1:25:45Charles: And the fact that you are like into all of this
- 1:25:48Charles: and you're like, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, nom.
- 1:25:49Mandy: Oh my God, I love her so much.
- 1:25:53Mandy: So much.
- 1:25:54Charles: Is this shtick?
- 1:25:55Mandy: Is this shtick or are you just like-
- 1:25:57Mandy: She went for dog number two, man.
- 1:25:59Chris: She has eyes of pure joy right now.
- 1:26:01Mandy: And don't fake dog number two.
- 1:26:03Mandy: If she ate two,
- 1:26:05Mandy: that's real.
- 1:26:06Charles: Literally every single bite outside of the potato chip
- 1:26:09Charles: on this plate is something that I spit right out.
- 1:26:12Chris: Charles,
- 1:26:13Chris: Nora liked this enough
- 1:26:14Chris: to double fist the hot dogs.
- 1:26:16Mandy: I love it, I love it.
- 1:26:19Mandy: That makes me happy.
- 1:26:20Nora: I am eating a second hot dog.
- 1:26:22Charles: I hear it.
- 1:26:24Charles: (laughing)
- 1:26:26Charles: I hear it in my ear hole right now.
- 1:26:29Charles: the horrendous noises that are being made.
- 1:26:32Mandy: So Alex is asking you not to abandon us, Charles,
- 1:26:36Mandy: over these foods and is definitely included
- 1:26:40Mandy: as part of the team.
- 1:26:41Mandy: So we're not abandoning Alex either.
- 1:26:44Mandy: Yes.
- 1:26:44Chris: So in fact-
- 1:26:45Nora: You're stuck with us, Charles.
- 1:26:46Chris: In fact, we are here every week,
- 1:26:49Chris: folks.
- 1:26:50Chris: We are here at 9 p.m. Eastern,
- 1:26:52Chris: 7 p.m. Mountain,
- 1:26:54Chris: here on YouTube or at loudspeaker.tv.
- 1:26:58Chris: We didn't talk about Patagonia.
- 1:27:00Chris: We do it every week.
- 1:27:01Chris: No, we didn't.
- 1:27:02Chris: That's fine.
- 1:27:03Chris: Patagonia's awesome.
- 1:27:04Chris: We'll talk about Patagonia next week.
- 1:27:05Chris: We got a lot of queer shit this month.
- 1:27:06Chris: We got queer stuff to do.
- 1:27:08Chris: Charles,
- 1:27:08Chris: tell the folks what's in store.
- 1:27:10Charles: What's in store?
- 1:27:12Charles: Listen to-
- 1:27:12Charles: Gay.
- 1:27:13Charles: Gay.
- 1:27:13Charles: Listen to Revolution 6.
- 1:27:14Charles: Gay.
- 1:27:15Charles: Shh.
- 1:27:15Charles: We got a new radio station,
- 1:27:17Charles: Revolution 6.
- 1:27:19Charles: We just put out some art for it.
- 1:27:22Charles: We built out all the art for it.
- 1:27:25Charles: Comes out in three days.
- 1:27:26Charles: You got to listen to this.
- 1:27:28Charles: It's awesome.
- 1:27:29Charles: It's great.
- 1:27:30Charles: Listen to The Riot.
- 1:27:31Charles: Like,
- 1:27:32Charles: as soon as the show gets over,
- 1:27:34Charles: you're probably sitting at home,
- 1:27:36Charles: I don't know,
- 1:27:38Charles: straight up jorking it at this point.
- 1:27:41Charles: Listen to The Riot.
- 1:27:43Charles: It's got great music,
- 1:27:45Charles: queer artists,
- 1:27:46Charles: the perfect time to do so.
- 1:27:47Charles: It's all free for you.
- 1:27:49Charles: Follow,
- 1:27:49Charles: subscribe.
- 1:27:50Charles: We did this for you.
- 1:27:52Charles: This is, no!
- 1:27:53Charles: Don't give that a thumbs up!
- 1:27:55Charles: (laughing)
