- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's Almost Famous podcast. As promised, as usual, we have
- 0:10Speaker 2: some of Bachelor Nation's favorite contestants. We get to the
- 0:14Speaker 2: behind the scenes scoop on their life, their experience, and
- 0:18Speaker 2: what they're up to. Now, Leslie, welcome to the Almost
- 0:23Speaker 2: Famous Podcast.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Thank you, and I have to say thank you for
- 0:27Speaker 3: saying my name correctly.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Leslie not Leslie.
- 0:31Speaker 3: It's Leslie, not Leslie.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Okay, that's hilarious.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Everybody says Leslie.
- 0:37Speaker 5: So when we were on Winter Games, our friend Dean
- 0:42Speaker 5: was dating a girl name Leslie, and I was always like,
- 0:46Speaker 5: you say her name is a funny say Leslie. He's like,
- 0:48Speaker 5: isn't that the way it's supposed to be said. I'm like,
- 0:50Speaker 5: I don't know. It's like it's always been Leslie to
- 0:53Speaker 5: me and apparently not.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Well. I okay, I have a really good friend name
- 1:00Speaker 3: is Leslie like mine, except she hates being called Leslie.
- 1:04Speaker 3: She wants Leslie, and I hate being called Leslie. I
- 1:07Speaker 3: want Leslie. So that's how I grew up. My family
- 1:11Speaker 3: called me Leslie every all my friends, you know, call
- 1:15Speaker 3: me less really and so yeah, so when it's kind
- 1:21Speaker 3: of funny. The only two people I've heard say my
- 1:23Speaker 3: name correctly is you and Reality Steve.
- 1:27Speaker 6: No.
- 1:27Speaker 5: I thought you were gonna say, Gary, Yeah, yeah, you
- 1:33Speaker 5: vacillated even after I told him, But whatever, Okay, got
- 1:38Speaker 5: to jump into that a year removed. What are your
- 1:42Speaker 5: feelings towards Gary? Do you look at him now and
- 1:45Speaker 5: think like, oh, totally get it. I was so in
- 1:49Speaker 5: love or are you like what was I thinking?
- 1:52Speaker 4: Or somewhere in between.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Well, now it's the latter.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, how long did it take to get there?
- 2:01Speaker 3: Pretty much like when I got to the wedding, I
- 2:06Speaker 3: was dumb. I was like, yeah, no, I actually, you know,
- 2:10Speaker 3: thought they're actually proved the couple. That's what I was thinking. Really,
- 2:15Speaker 3: so you know, I was like, no, he's not for me.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you guys know you're in a
- 2:20Speaker 3: bubble and you know, I mean I've said this on
- 2:26Speaker 3: other podcasts. Gary was very focused and kind and sincere,
- 2:33Speaker 3: and I felt safe with him and I did feel
- 2:37Speaker 3: my feelings with him. I totally did. And but you know,
- 2:43Speaker 3: then you get out of that and you're going, yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 3: that's probably not my person.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I tell you. Speaking of the wedding, you and I
- 2:50Speaker 2: had an incredible moment at the wedding we did. I
- 2:54Speaker 2: still get asked about it today. They said, hey, I
- 2:56Speaker 2: saw you on TV and you were dancing with Leslie
- 3:01Speaker 2: and I said, yes, it will go down as one
- 3:04Speaker 2: of the most fun events actually I've had in all
- 3:08Speaker 2: of my bachelor experience. That was a great wedding, and
- 3:11Speaker 2: thank you for for making it as little amount of
- 3:16Speaker 2: awkward as possible. I don't think people watching it understood
- 3:19Speaker 2: there was no music playing. They were like, hey, you
- 3:21Speaker 2: two go dance together, and we're like, to what and
- 3:24Speaker 2: they said, just go dance. The music's playing, we're live,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and so you and I we did our thing and they.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Told me I was dancing to you. I'm like, oh,
- 3:33Speaker 3: thank god, because if anyone can make me look better.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Because I'm moves, dancing moves because.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I'm so bad, look incredible. We just got to put
- 3:46Speaker 2: Ben next to her because he's going to look like
- 3:48Speaker 2: one of those blow up machines at the car wash
- 3:50Speaker 2: that kind of flops around.
- 3:52Speaker 4: It's his move.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's gonna be great.
- 3:56Speaker 7: Oh.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I was trying. I was trying to be the crazy
- 3:59Speaker 3: older women dancing with you. But it's hard because you know, I'm.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Like, you know, I don't know you so funny, Okay,
- 4:09Speaker 5: So were you shocked when like what were your feelings
- 4:13Speaker 5: that don't put words in your mouth, how did you
- 4:15Speaker 5: feel when you found out that, like ten weeks after
- 4:18Speaker 5: that wedding they were getting divorced.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I was a little shocked, but it was a little
- 4:23Speaker 3: bit of a progression because after the wedding, then I
- 4:31Speaker 3: there was three times I was with Teresa and Gary
- 4:33Speaker 3: after that, so it was like, well, for sure, two
- 4:36Speaker 3: times I don't know if they were at the Mental Hall,
- 4:38Speaker 3: but I was at the Mental or the Women Tell All,
- 4:41Speaker 3: the finale of Joey season, and then celebrity family feuds.
- 4:48Speaker 3: So it was kind of a progression. And you know,
- 4:51Speaker 3: Teresa and I were really good friends in the house,
- 4:53Speaker 3: so we after the initial getting home and whatever we did,
- 4:59Speaker 3: actually she invited me to the wedding. She called me
- 5:01Speaker 3: up and invited me to the wedding and yeah, and
- 5:04Speaker 3: she really wanted me there, and so after that, you know,
- 5:09Speaker 3: we kind of fell back into how we were in
- 5:12Speaker 3: the house, and you know, we were really close and yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 3: so it wasn't like a shock like everyone else got
- 5:19Speaker 3: shocked because I kind of, you know, heard things. But
- 5:26Speaker 3: I was shocked initially, like really, I mean, yeah, I
- 5:31Speaker 3: kept saying, why did you get married?
- 5:34Speaker 5: I know, were you hearing things or were you witnessing
- 5:38Speaker 5: things when you saw them together?
- 5:41Speaker 3: No, I wasn't really witnessing it, per se. I was
- 5:47Speaker 3: hearing things, and I guess, you know what, I guess
- 5:51Speaker 3: they weren't. I didn't feel like they were as close
- 5:55Speaker 3: as I would think they should be when we got
- 5:58Speaker 3: together in person, I could see a little space between
- 6:02Speaker 3: them and stuff, you know, so I felt, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 3: like it was maybe not working.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be interesting in the Golden and I want
- 6:14Speaker 2: to hear your thoughts on it. I'm saying, and it's interesting.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I want to hear your opinion. It'll be interesting now
- 6:19Speaker 2: as the Golden franchise continues if the show also tries
- 6:27Speaker 2: to do these expedited weddings like they did. I mean,
- 6:29Speaker 2: they did it with Trista and Ryan when I was
- 6:32Speaker 2: a bachelor. They attempted to do it with me. The
- 6:35Speaker 2: problem was we weren't together, so it didn't really work
- 6:37Speaker 2: out that well for them.
- 6:39Speaker 3: It's the problem.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I wonder just in general, if the show would
- 6:46Speaker 2: be better off doing this, like a year later, giving
- 6:51Speaker 2: it the time to kind of settle out, shake up,
- 6:53Speaker 2: but they tried to make it so fast that it
- 6:56Speaker 2: feels like it puts too much pressure on these couples.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, it's saying it was ended differently, and
- 7:06Speaker 3: Gary had picked me, I would have absolutely no way
- 7:10Speaker 3: agreed to that. I just know I would have not
- 7:12Speaker 3: done it.
- 7:13Speaker 2: If they say here's a million dollars to get married,
- 7:16Speaker 2: she's like, well, darn.
- 7:18Speaker 4: You would have been a million.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I know if it was because that has been a
- 7:23Speaker 2: number number that used to be used with these weddings.
- 7:27Speaker 2: They said, here's a million dollars, and we're going to
- 7:29Speaker 2: cover your wedding and cover the expenses of your family
- 7:32Speaker 2: and friends getting there. You just have to get married,
- 7:35Speaker 2: like two months after this thing stops airing. You would
- 7:37Speaker 2: have said, no, it's hard.
- 7:40Speaker 3: It's a hard question. I mean, yeah, who doesn't want
- 7:42Speaker 3: a million dollars? But who wants a third divorce? That's
- 7:47Speaker 3: not my goal in life.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Okay, Well, it's only five hundred thousand after taxes, so
- 7:55Speaker 5: I wouldn't.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I don't know if I would do it for.
- 7:57Speaker 3: That, I don't know. I mean I would try to, yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 3: hopefully make money another way. I don't know, I just
- 8:07Speaker 3: or negotiate for further, like can we do it in
- 8:10Speaker 3: eight months? You know? I just I feel it's just
- 8:13Speaker 3: too soon. And you know, it's too soon something you know,
- 8:19Speaker 3: most really to get engaged, and then it's too soon
- 8:23Speaker 3: to get married, you know. I mean unless you are
- 8:27Speaker 3: at love at first sight and you fall in love
- 8:29Speaker 3: and and no, I mean you know that this is
- 8:33Speaker 3: my this is my person. But if you are a
- 8:37Speaker 3: little hesitant, I don't.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Know, I think you got to say no. Well, obviously,
- 8:42Speaker 2: you're coming off of the Golden Franchise as one of,
- 8:45Speaker 2: if not the most recognizable cast member from this season.
- 8:50Speaker 2: We have a lot of really great cast members, you know,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and people who participate in the season, they're great friends.
- 8:55Speaker 2: They've been out there doing their thing. Two questions, but
- 9:00Speaker 2: I'll start with this one. What is it like to
- 9:02Speaker 2: see this group of women kind of go off on
- 9:06Speaker 2: this whole new journey after the show, you know, and
- 9:09Speaker 2: see themselves kind of in this whole new light, doing entertainment,
- 9:12Speaker 2: doing posting, all these things.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I love it. I mean I had no idea, like,
- 9:21Speaker 3: you know, signing up. And I mean I knew because
- 9:23Speaker 3: of course I'm a you know, Bachelor Nation fan, but
- 9:26Speaker 3: I didn't realize it was going to happen like that
- 9:29Speaker 3: with us, And I really you know, it warms my
- 9:33Speaker 3: heart and makes my heart happy to see everybody have
- 9:36Speaker 3: their kind of little segment, you know, Susan and Kathy
- 9:40Speaker 3: and Sondra and you know Ellen and what Faith doing
- 9:45Speaker 3: your hair color. I love that. I just love it
- 9:47Speaker 3: all and it makes me really happy. And you know,
- 9:52Speaker 3: I think we're really good spokes people for our generation.
- 9:57Speaker 3: And you know, I think that as long as we
- 10:02Speaker 3: can write it up, I think, you know, why not.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I think more power to us.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I like how you say Susan and Kathy in one breath,
- 10:09Speaker 2: because that's how I say it too. They literally are
- 10:12Speaker 2: together doing their things all the time.
- 10:15Speaker 5: They just had something done together as well.
- 10:19Speaker 4: They're gonna tell us about that.
- 10:21Speaker 3: These they have some alls, man, I like, yeah.
- 10:25Speaker 2: And energy, energy that does not exist by any other
- 10:29Speaker 2: human at any age.
- 10:30Speaker 3: The two putting that out there for the world to see.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I give them so much credit, you know, I mean,
- 10:36Speaker 3: but I think that we all have our lane. Like
- 10:40Speaker 3: I would feel really weird doing that, but it wasn't
- 10:43Speaker 3: weird for them to do it. You know what I'm saying, like,
- 10:46Speaker 3: I think we all have our lane, and I think
- 10:48Speaker 3: we all have our following, and we are trying to
- 10:52Speaker 3: cater to those people. And you know, so I think
- 10:55Speaker 3: it's cool. I mean, we each have we all have
- 10:58Speaker 3: different steg of you know, people that are fans, and
- 11:03Speaker 3: I like that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's fun to see.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 5: So I know that when Joan was announced as the Bachelorrette,
- 11:10Speaker 5: it was like lots of positive responses. She's done a
- 11:12Speaker 5: great job. But I think there was a lot of
- 11:14Speaker 5: people surprised that it wasn't you. How did those talks
- 11:19Speaker 5: go with them? Assuming there was them, I.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Didn't have any talks.
- 11:25Speaker 2: With them, shocking to me. That's surprising to me that
- 11:30Speaker 2: there wasn't a conversation with you on would you even
- 11:35Speaker 2: be interested in this? And if so, how you know,
- 11:38Speaker 2: how do you want this to work? And there was
- 11:41Speaker 2: never the initial phone call because when you know, in
- 11:44Speaker 2: the bachelor world, when you're a bachelor, you're talking to
- 11:47Speaker 2: the person they probably are going to choose, but also
- 11:50Speaker 2: two or three others just to kind of have some
- 11:53Speaker 2: people on the bench in cases.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I heard that. I heard that I kept waiting, but
- 11:59Speaker 3: you know, I think they had something else in mind
- 12:02Speaker 3: for me, and it didn't pan out at the final hour,
- 12:08Speaker 3: so it was a little disappointing because I was waiting
- 12:13Speaker 3: and waiting.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Can you give us any insight as to what that
- 12:17Speaker 5: could have been? Yeah, maybe like a dancing show.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Well, yeah, maybe Dancing with the Stars.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's what they had from me. And
- 12:30Speaker 3: you know, I had an interview with Dancing with the
- 12:32Speaker 3: Stars and I was kind of.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Waiting, Yeah, fun to see you on that. I think
- 12:37Speaker 2: it would have been really good for you, but also
- 12:40Speaker 2: for kind of the fans of the Golden franchise to
- 12:43Speaker 2: see you again representing them.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And yeah, I mean I love again. I'm a huge
- 12:49Speaker 3: fan of Dancing with the Stars and I watch it
- 12:52Speaker 3: every single year. And when I had my interview, I
- 12:55Speaker 3: just said, I want to be your oldest winner. I
- 12:57Speaker 3: want to be our oldest winner, and not to say
- 12:59Speaker 3: that I was going to be. I mean, it's really
- 13:01Speaker 3: hard to complete compete with twenty nineteen year olds, you know.
- 13:06Speaker 3: But I had the scamina, I have the drive. I've
- 13:09Speaker 3: been training my whole life.
- 13:10Speaker 7: For this, and there's it never gets past the older people,
- 13:15Speaker 7: like the older people never advance, and it would it
- 13:19Speaker 7: would have been nice to have somebody represent the older relation,
- 13:24Speaker 7: you know, because there baby bloomers are.
- 13:28Speaker 3: We're it right now? You know? So yeah, but maybe someday.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:44Speaker 5: If given the chance, would you have preferred Danjumin the
- 13:47Speaker 5: Stars over the Golden Bachelorette role.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Just fits you more? I mean was it? Would it
- 13:54Speaker 2: got you more excited or fit you more?
- 13:57Speaker 3: It's it's it was a perfect It would have been
- 13:59Speaker 3: a perfect for me. I think that. I'm not saying
- 14:03Speaker 3: I would have turned the Golden Bats aer down. I wouldn't.
- 14:05Speaker 3: I don't think I would have. I just think that
- 14:10Speaker 3: Dancing of the Stars would have shown who I really am,
- 14:14Speaker 3: you know. I mean, they really have a chance to
- 14:16Speaker 3: show who they really are and not the one dimensional
- 14:20Speaker 3: person you see forty five minutes a week. Because our
- 14:24Speaker 3: show was so short, you know, you know, I really
- 14:27Speaker 3: wanted for the country to kind of like get to
- 14:30Speaker 3: know me, you know, and who I am.
- 14:33Speaker 5: Do you possibly think that Jen took your spot last minute?
- 14:37Speaker 8: You know, I don't because I know that I don't know,
- 14:40Speaker 8: but I don't think so because I think they I
- 14:45Speaker 8: know that they took from fourteen people to twelve, and
- 14:48Speaker 8: Jen was an add on she made thirteen, so I
- 14:51Speaker 8: think she was last minute.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, she definitely deserved it. And I
- 14:57Speaker 3: was just there last week and watched her dance. She
- 15:00Speaker 3: was phenomenal, and Teresa and I went there together rooting
- 15:03Speaker 3: Joe and jen On and it was phenomenal. But it
- 15:06Speaker 3: was really hard for me to sit there going, oh,
- 15:08Speaker 3: you know, you know, yeah, I don't know. I don't
- 15:13Speaker 3: know who took my spot, but you know, maybe it
- 15:15Speaker 3: was Anna what the ankle bracelet, I don't know.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah. See, that's what I was thinking, is there's some
- 15:21Speaker 2: people this season where it'd been really fun to see
- 15:24Speaker 2: you step into that. I do think three Bachelor contestants
- 15:28Speaker 2: probably was an issue for them, and at some level
- 15:30Speaker 2: that was the conversation that they had was three people,
- 15:36Speaker 2: as much as it would be fun to see that.
- 15:38Speaker 2: So who knows, the future still could be there where
- 15:40Speaker 2: maybe they don't have a Bachelor bachelorette, maybe fits the
- 15:44Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars world and they say come on
- 15:47Speaker 2: back and yeah, and we'd be excited here.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I would. It would be my dream come sure, But
- 15:54Speaker 3: you know, I kind of stopped, kind of have to
- 15:56Speaker 3: stay relevant, and I don't know how that's going to happen.
- 15:59Speaker 3: But you know, you just don't. I just don't know
- 16:01Speaker 3: what's going to happen in the future. But you know,
- 16:04Speaker 3: it was I got in shape and I worked out
- 16:06Speaker 3: really hard this summer, you know, and it was, Yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 3: it was. It was exciting to think that it was
- 16:14Speaker 3: going to happen. So maybe, yeah, I know.
- 16:17Speaker 5: How you could stay relevant, how you could date one
- 16:22Speaker 5: of the guys on Jones season, like maybe Jordan.
- 16:25Speaker 4: He's really cute.
- 16:27Speaker 3: That was that was really good. That was good. Sneaky
- 16:31Speaker 3: little girl. But yeah, I guess there's something you want
- 16:37Speaker 3: to ask me, Ashley.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I do are you dating Jordan?
- 16:42Speaker 5: No?
- 16:43Speaker 3: I met dating Jordan. I met Jordan.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Have you gone on a date with Jordan?
- 16:48Speaker 3: No? I went on a meet and greet with Jordan's.
- 16:51Speaker 4: A meet and greet pre date.
- 16:53Speaker 3: I don't know if it was a meet and greet.
- 16:55Speaker 3: I don't know what you call it. Jordan had a
- 16:58Speaker 3: suite at the soccer game in La last week. His
- 17:03Speaker 3: childhood's friend is like the president of the club, and
- 17:08Speaker 3: he had a suite and he invited me and I
- 17:11Speaker 3: brought my girlfriend Wendy, who I was saying. I stayed
- 17:13Speaker 3: with her for one night in La, and there were
- 17:17Speaker 3: some other guys in there from the show and a
- 17:20Speaker 3: producer that I love, and it was awesome.
- 17:23Speaker 4: So you flew for it?
- 17:24Speaker 3: No, I flew to La to go to Dancing with
- 17:27Speaker 3: the Stars. Okay, I just happened to be I just
- 17:30Speaker 3: happened to be in La a day early.
- 17:32Speaker 2: This was weird timing, So I need clarity on this though.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I knew that I knew that what we're going to do.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah, out of all the women who are a part
- 17:44Speaker 2: of this franchise, why did Jordan ask you? Had you
- 17:47Speaker 2: guys ever talked before this invite? Was their communications consistent
- 17:53Speaker 2: enough for him to say, Hey, by the way, you
- 17:55Speaker 2: told me last night as we were texting that you're
- 17:58Speaker 2: going to be in La and I have been to
- 17:59Speaker 2: have a suite and you should come with me.
- 18:03Speaker 3: I mean we have been texting a little bit.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Your voice just crack. I didn't know that was a thing.
- 18:10Speaker 2: As we got to I didn't know your voice could
- 18:12Speaker 2: still crack when you get married.
- 18:13Speaker 4: How did you get the number?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Okay, you guys going to on. Just because we're older
- 18:19Speaker 3: doesn't mean we're stupid.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Okay, fun same just because we're older doesn't mean we're stupid.
- 18:27Speaker 2: We're reading through the lines here and saying it's it's
- 18:30Speaker 2: not just a random invite to some suite. We just
- 18:34Speaker 2: want to hear that, like there's a possibility in your
- 18:37Speaker 2: future admitting that you have talked to at least one
- 18:42Speaker 2: person from this season, or that you watch this season
- 18:46Speaker 2: with a intriguing eye, going hmmm, he's interesting.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that. I think I did. I like
- 18:56Speaker 3: Jordan when I was watching the show. I liked him
- 19:02Speaker 3: the best for me, Like, say, for me, you know,
- 19:06Speaker 3: I think all the guys are great. I don't you know.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I'm just saying if it was me, if I was
- 19:12Speaker 3: the Golden Bachelorette and I was and he was on
- 19:15Speaker 3: that show, you know, you know how you think, and
- 19:20Speaker 3: but you know, what's good for me isn't gonna be
- 19:22Speaker 3: right for Joon or whoever else. You know. I think
- 19:25Speaker 3: that's the beauty of those men there. I think they
- 19:28Speaker 3: appeal to certain you know, women, and I like that.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Hopefully they'll be some connections. Jordan. I feel like we
- 19:37Speaker 3: have a lot in common. I know that he's funny.
- 19:41Speaker 3: I love funny. He lives in Chicago. I live in Minneapolis.
- 19:44Speaker 3: He has a dog. I have a dog. I mean
- 19:47Speaker 3: stuff like that's important and we're all Jewish, and you know,
- 19:51Speaker 3: at the end of the day, that's important to me
- 19:54Speaker 3: as well. I mean it's not you know, hard stop
- 19:57Speaker 3: I have to have someone Jewish. But I mean if
- 19:59Speaker 3: he meet someone and they are, you know, your faith,
- 20:04Speaker 3: that's just icing on the cake.
- 20:06Speaker 5: So have you guys called and texted each other since
- 20:09Speaker 5: this weekend read up?
- 20:12Speaker 3: We have texted? Yeah, I mean not a ton, but
- 20:16Speaker 3: a little bit. And you know, it's really not it's
- 20:23Speaker 3: for me. I don't know where it would it go.
- 20:26Speaker 3: If it's going to go. I just think he's a
- 20:28Speaker 3: great guy and to be friends with him first if
- 20:31Speaker 3: fine with me, and you know that kind of thing.
- 20:35Speaker 3: It's like, I don't need to jump into anything. I mean,
- 20:37Speaker 3: he's got a whole year of this ride and I
- 20:41Speaker 3: want him to enjoy it and I want him to
- 20:44Speaker 3: experience it and I don't want to get in the
- 20:48Speaker 3: way of that. So but I'm here as a friend
- 20:52Speaker 3: and he you know, after he goes through all his
- 20:58Speaker 3: dms from all the women and the daughters and the sons,
- 21:04Speaker 3: he knows where I am. But I mean, you do
- 21:07Speaker 3: have a common bond when it comes to that I
- 21:09Speaker 3: think he's probably like me, where he's not suber religious,
- 21:13Speaker 3: but you know, you are into your faith and more
- 21:17Speaker 3: of the heritage thing and all that stuff.
- 21:20Speaker 9: And yeah, so I don't know, and I know we'll see.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Kind of switching gears kind of not the chapter after
- 21:38Speaker 2: the show gets done. I think we all assume that,
- 21:42Speaker 2: you know, it was similar to our experiences where you
- 21:44Speaker 2: do get off the show and your dms do blow up,
- 21:47Speaker 2: and you know you're going to these events and people
- 21:49Speaker 2: are like, I wish you could meet my dad, or
- 21:51Speaker 2: I wish you could meet you know whoever? Is that?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Was that your world? Is it still your world? Kind
- 21:57Speaker 2: of give the listeners a perspective and what life looks
- 22:00Speaker 2: like from the time you know you left the show
- 22:04Speaker 2: to now.
- 22:06Speaker 10: Well I did have a few of those, not the
- 22:10Speaker 10: ton and then when I had when they did do that,
- 22:16Speaker 10: they showed me a picture of their dad and I.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Was like, yeah, no, sorry, you know, but there was
- 22:22Speaker 3: one person and this is kind of a funny story,
- 22:25Speaker 3: I think I should share it, but there was one
- 22:28Speaker 3: girl that and she's for a doll. I mean, oh
- 22:31Speaker 3: my gosh, it was gorgeous, and she goes, you need
- 22:33Speaker 3: to meet my dad and all this stuff. So just
- 22:37Speaker 3: I'm cutting to the chase. But this man was in Miami,
- 22:41Speaker 3: and my son and my grandkids were in Miami, and
- 22:45Speaker 3: I had Zach go do a meet and greet for me.
- 22:48Speaker 4: I love this expression meet and greet.
- 22:50Speaker 11: Yeah, no, the second time I've used it. I don't know,
- 22:56Speaker 11: maybe a recon, I should say. Anyways, with my grand
- 23:00Speaker 11: kids in the uber, they're getting they're.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Going there and I'm cutting, and I'm I'm cutting a
- 23:04Speaker 3: lot out and so they meet this person, and I'm
- 23:09Speaker 3: sure he's a lovely man. I did talk to him
- 23:12Speaker 3: once on the phone or twice on the phone. He
- 23:13Speaker 3: seemed like a lovely man, but I was like, you know,
- 23:19Speaker 3: I kept saying, I don't know my life is going
- 23:21Speaker 3: to be. And he kept saying, well, if you're the
- 23:23Speaker 3: Golden Bachelorette, you should take it because I'm waiting for you.
- 23:26Speaker 3: And I'm like red flag, you know, stuff like that.
- 23:30Speaker 3: So anyways, Zach met him, a lot of things kind
- 23:34Speaker 3: of happened.
- 23:34Speaker 6: But he gets back in the umber and he facetimes
- 23:37Speaker 6: me and he's in the middle of my two grand
- 23:38Speaker 6: kids and I said, so would you think, And they've
- 23:43Speaker 6: boss lean in Glama, not for you, not for you.
- 23:50Speaker 2: That's hilarious, so good.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Yeah. So anyways, that did happen, and I'm sure he's
- 23:58Speaker 3: a really nice person. It just wasn't for me.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Yeah. But I you know, I live in Minneapolis. I
- 24:07Speaker 3: say this a lot. I've lived here my whole life,
- 24:10Speaker 3: and I call it a small big town or a
- 24:12Speaker 3: big small town whatever. And I know a lot of
- 24:15Speaker 3: people even before this show, because I, you know, I
- 24:19Speaker 3: was I'm an instructor and I teach a lot of people, thousands,
- 24:23Speaker 3: I've taught thousands, you know, and I just know people,
- 24:26Speaker 3: and there's just not a lot of you know, I
- 24:30Speaker 3: don't want to date someone's ex husband because I know
- 24:33Speaker 3: them probably, And you know, the Jewish community is small here.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I mean it's big, but it's small, you know. And
- 24:41Speaker 3: I you know, so that part is hard to find.
- 24:43Speaker 3: And I just don't find anybody here that I want
- 24:46Speaker 3: to date. So I really, I can honestly say in
- 24:50Speaker 3: a year, I've been on two dates just once, like
- 24:53Speaker 3: one date and another date.
- 24:55Speaker 2: That's shocking to me. That really is because you want
- 24:58Speaker 2: to like, right, I do for it?
- 25:00Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm I am so ready for love.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just like ready, but I'm not desperate.
- 25:08Speaker 3: So you know, there's a fine line. You know. I
- 25:11Speaker 3: I have my family at my life is full. I
- 25:14Speaker 3: have my grandkids, you know, I do. I go to
- 25:18Speaker 3: concerts every week. I you know, I work out, I
- 25:22Speaker 3: teach my classes. I do a lot. But I do
- 25:25Speaker 3: want somebody. And I had been ready, and I was
- 25:27Speaker 3: really ready when I applied for the show. I mean,
- 25:30Speaker 3: I've been literally divorced for twenty three years. I've had,
- 25:34Speaker 3: you know, a few long term relationships, but I have
- 25:37Speaker 3: been single for a long time.
- 25:40Speaker 5: I know that the show sort of, you know, pushes
- 25:42Speaker 5: engagement on you. Would you want to get married again
- 25:46Speaker 5: or would you just companions for life?
- 25:49Speaker 3: That's a hard question. I think I would want to
- 25:54Speaker 3: marry the right person. I know that, I mean, but
- 25:58Speaker 3: I want that companion as well. I mean, if I
- 26:01Speaker 3: found the right person and they said, I don't know
- 26:03Speaker 3: if I want to get married, but it was the
- 26:05Speaker 3: right person for me, I'd be completely fine with it
- 26:08Speaker 3: if they If I find that person they said, I
- 26:10Speaker 3: really want to get married, I probably would if it's
- 26:13Speaker 3: the right person. But I also like having my freedom
- 26:17Speaker 3: and I love, you know, and the longer you're single.
- 26:22Speaker 3: The harder it is to compromise a little bit. You know,
- 26:26Speaker 3: used to doing my own thing, going where I want,
- 26:28Speaker 3: and so I have to like scale it down a
- 26:32Speaker 3: little bit and become one with somebody. But I'm totally
- 26:36Speaker 3: ready for that. You know, I'm kind of open to anything.
- 26:39Speaker 2: So open anything. Question. And as we kind of wrap
- 26:43Speaker 2: up here, the rumor is that the Golden Bachelor franchise
- 26:46Speaker 2: might be trying to start a spinoff, maybe like a
- 26:49Speaker 2: Paradise type show. If they called you and said, hey,
- 26:53Speaker 2: we would love to have you part of this spin
- 26:55Speaker 2: off show. Would that be a world you'd enjoy entering
- 26:58Speaker 2: back into or would you stay away from it?
- 27:03Speaker 3: That's a hard one. I would like to do it
- 27:05Speaker 3: because I think it would be fun and I know
- 27:09Speaker 3: more now I know to keep my mouth shut, you know,
- 27:13Speaker 3: but you know, you know, you know, you're just kind
- 27:17Speaker 3: of like and I tried not to be the loudest
- 27:20Speaker 3: voice in the room in the house, but you know,
- 27:23Speaker 3: then all of a sudden it just comes out. But
- 27:27Speaker 3: I think that and I would love to be with
- 27:29Speaker 3: the girls again in you know, be with all the girls.
- 27:32Speaker 3: That would be so much fun. The scrutiny part is hard.
- 27:36Speaker 3: The bullying online is hard, and that I would not miss,
- 27:42Speaker 3: you know, And even though I don't even read half
- 27:45Speaker 3: the things. I mean, I don't ever go and read it.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I don't ever you know, go on happy sites. But
- 27:52Speaker 3: that would be hard, but you know, so it would be,
- 27:55Speaker 3: and it kind of would depend on where my life
- 27:58Speaker 3: was at that time. If I'm say I might want.
- 28:01Speaker 2: To, Yeah, don't let the negative opinions of others ever
- 28:06Speaker 2: ever stop you from doing something. It over time and
- 28:11Speaker 2: it becomes you know nothing in your life no matter what.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Natalie's had to tuck me off the cliffs sometimes,
- 28:21Speaker 3: and she really put it to me, like where I
- 28:23Speaker 3: could understand. She goes, there are millions of people that
- 28:26Speaker 3: watch a show, and the fraction that are commenting are
- 28:29Speaker 3: like a pin head. And that really helped me because
- 28:33Speaker 3: I've watched the show my whole life and I've.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Never taken written in under the body's picture.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I wouldn't even think about it or my friends wouldn't,
- 28:40Speaker 3: so so that really helped me, and that really put
- 28:44Speaker 3: me put the whole thing in perspective.
- 28:46Speaker 5: So, yeah, if this show does happen, we kind of
- 28:51Speaker 5: can assume that Jordan would have been be on your
- 28:54Speaker 5: list as the guy that you'd want to see there. Okay,
- 28:56Speaker 5: you kind of admitted that you were, like, you know,
- 28:58Speaker 5: I picked it for me. Now can we play matchmaker
- 29:02Speaker 5: for a second? Who do you see together from your
- 29:05Speaker 5: season and jokes season?
- 29:08Speaker 3: You know, I've been thinking about that and I actually
- 29:12Speaker 3: I think Faith and Jonathan would be really cute together. Yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 3: I just yeah, I think, uh, she's a free spirit
- 29:22Speaker 3: and that's I don't know what they just came into
- 29:26Speaker 3: my mind. I don't uh, I don't know about the others.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I actually think I don't know what happens at the end.
- 29:38Speaker 3: But if guy doesn't get picked, I actually see him
- 29:41Speaker 3: with Nancy.
- 29:43Speaker 4: I don't I don't know it was going to Nancy.
- 29:46Speaker 3: I love her.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we grew up in the same lake
- 29:50Speaker 2: where neighbors growing up.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Really, I did not know that she's sweet. She's a
- 29:56Speaker 3: sweet girl. Yeah, amazing, amazing, But you know, than Cathy again,
- 30:01Speaker 3: same breath. Yeah, you know, Jack, you know, there's Kim.
- 30:10Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 30:10Speaker 12: I mean, I you know, I met I met doctor
- 30:13Speaker 12: Bob and Gil the other night in the game, so
- 30:17Speaker 12: I mean, they all they also been very very kind man,
- 30:20Speaker 12: very kind there's.
- 30:21Speaker 2: A lot of potential for this show, and I think
- 30:23Speaker 2: we would all be super interested in what it would
- 30:26Speaker 2: look like to see this mixed match of contestants going
- 30:30Speaker 2: down to the beach and seeing who would partner up
- 30:32Speaker 2: with each other. I think it could have wild success
- 30:34Speaker 2: in terms of love. I do because I think there's
- 30:37Speaker 2: a lot of freedom of choice and freedom of exploration
- 30:41Speaker 2: and excitement on these spinoff shows that I think everybody
- 30:44Speaker 2: would enjoy it. I'm pushing for it, and if they
- 30:46Speaker 2: ask you and you are single, I would highly highly
- 30:50Speaker 2: ask you to go because I love to see you
- 30:53Speaker 2: on this spinoff finding or at least exploring the idea
- 30:56Speaker 2: of love again.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Yeah, the guys would love this.
- 31:00Speaker 5: You there too.
- 31:00Speaker 3: I'd be open for you. Know, I'll hit the pola
- 31:04Speaker 3: is a little bit stronger and I'll go.
- 31:07Speaker 2: You're r Leslie. It is a absolute pleasure to have
- 31:12Speaker 2: you here and we're so excited to catch up with you.
- 31:17Speaker 2: We wish you the best and whatever life takes you,
- 31:20Speaker 2: whatever direction life takes you in next, just know we're
- 31:23Speaker 2: supporting you and we're happy to see it.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you, man, I can't wait to dance with
- 31:27Speaker 3: you again. Yes, and both of you guys. I love
- 31:31Speaker 3: you both so much.
- 31:32Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 31:34Speaker 2: From the Bachelor, I'll be asked to go back on
- 31:36Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars and we can.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Maybe they should have just a you know how I
- 31:43Speaker 5: feel we should have a spin off. That's that's amazing
- 31:46Speaker 5: race Yeah, amazing race off.
- 31:49Speaker 3: That would be my other strow. I'd like to do
- 31:52Speaker 3: I just because I'm a bowler, I'm a door like
- 31:54Speaker 3: it's off.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Well, this has been the Almost Famous Podcast until next time.
