- 2:23Speaker 2: aired Out podcast. Welcome to a new day, Happy Thursday,
- 2:28Speaker 2: thunder road. Tonight is going to be the weather's gonna
- 2:31Speaker 2: be perfect for it. I will give you the forecast
- 2:33Speaker 2: here in just a little bit. Ge is with me.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Good morning, Gee, good morning? How the hell are you?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Look at this day? Look at this day right now?
- 2:42Speaker 3: I know it's it's basically saying one more heat wave
- 2:46Speaker 3: and then it's gonna fricking get cold.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Uh we yeah? Do you think that this this next
- 2:56Speaker 2: heat wave is going to be the last hoorah?
- 3:01Speaker 3: Probably of summer?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Like real hoorah?
- 3:04Speaker 3: What are we in August?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Now?
- 3:07Speaker 3: We'll get something again in September.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, probably another It's supposed to be a very hot
- 3:13Speaker 2: uh autumn? Did you?
- 3:15Speaker 3: Did you know that? But after thirty two weekends thirty
- 3:21Speaker 3: two weekends of rain, it's about time we got something.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I understand.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I haven't been able to get any outdoor projects done because
- 3:29Speaker 3: every weekend it's been raining.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I hear you, I understand. I agree. Yet here we are,
- 3:37Speaker 2: My God, I'll tell you something right now. I'm glad
- 3:41Speaker 2: that I am not relying on United Airlines this morning
- 3:44Speaker 2: to get.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Back to get me from A to B. Do you
- 3:49Speaker 4: hear the whole Yeah, I heard the whole thing was
- 3:53Speaker 4: shut shut down? Yeah, like yeah, not just in one
- 3:57Speaker 4: city nation wide, I know.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So I'm I'm you know, I'm seeing this headline last night,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and I'm like, and I'm trying to understand. Maybe Jed
- 4:12Speaker 2: would understand. But there's somebody's got a computer somewhere where
- 4:17Speaker 2: there's some software or something that controls all of the
- 4:25Speaker 2: flights of United Airlines, so they have their own internal
- 4:30Speaker 2: like technology. So, in other words, if you and I
- 4:36Speaker 2: were big wigs at United Airlines someday, which is possible.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Could you see me?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Could you see me?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Is it? So?
- 4:49Speaker 2: In other words, let's stumb it down and hopefully Jeded
- 4:52Speaker 2: is listening this morning. Could it be that you know,
- 4:55Speaker 2: you and I are sitting next to each other and
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'd be like, oh, oh my god, did you just
- 5:01Speaker 2: hit escape M Now the whole thing is shut down.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Gee, look at what you've done.
- 5:09Speaker 3: And I would respond immediately by saying, well, time for coffee.
- 5:17Speaker 3: If nothing's working, we're out of here.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But how how is it? How is it that you
- 5:22Speaker 2: know that? How is it that that that that they've
- 5:27Speaker 2: got their internal computer system that's gonna shut down just
- 5:31Speaker 2: their flights. That's crazy. I don't know, it's scary.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Well anyway, Anie, who.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Uh A lot to talk about this morning, a lot
- 5:41Speaker 2: to get to and I'm overwhelmed. I'm overwhelmed. Uh, I
- 5:50Speaker 2: just have so many things that I want to talk
- 5:52Speaker 2: with you about. And you know, literally this is how
- 5:57Speaker 2: it is. You just walk in here and boom were
- 6:00Speaker 2: on the air.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Well that's it. I mean, both of us this morning,
- 6:04Speaker 3: just running late. Yeah, well what happened to me? I
- 6:07Speaker 3: was up early. I was up at six thirty and
- 6:09Speaker 3: I got a dog taking care of and everything else.
- 6:12Speaker 3: And then I'm sitting on the couch and I'm watching
- 6:15Speaker 3: that stupid Today show and I must have fallen asleep
- 6:20Speaker 3: and I opened my eyes and it's ten to nine. Sure,
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm like, oh shit, I'm running late. So I had
- 6:27Speaker 3: to run around, get in a car, fly down here
- 6:30Speaker 3: to find out that you had just gotten here too. Yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 3: so we were both running.
- 6:34Speaker 2: We're both running little late. Yeah, I'm struggling this morning.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I also struggled to get out of bed. I was
- 6:43Speaker 2: up very late last night and I am yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 3: You text me at like twelve o'clock or something. I
- 6:51Speaker 3: know you were under this illusion that I was going
- 6:54Speaker 3: to sit up and wait for you to text me
- 6:56Speaker 3: till twelve o'clock at night.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It was an illusion.
- 6:58Speaker 3: It had to have been, because I'm in bed as
- 7:00Speaker 3: early as humanly possible.
- 7:02Speaker 2: We were at Bogey Brothers yesterday and got home late.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Well you're looking a little rough. Why are you so.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I am so ginger this morning? I'm my whole body?
- 7:17Speaker 3: What does that mean? I'm so ginger?
- 7:20Speaker 2: With ginger meaning achy and kind of sensitive.
- 7:24Speaker 3: That's silly phrase. Muscle aches, that's silly phrase. Never heard
- 7:29Speaker 3: good of me? Means a redhead.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Well, that's true.
- 7:32Speaker 3: So you saying I'm so ginger, Well it's an old
- 7:35Speaker 3: it's an old man, old man. I don't even know
- 7:40Speaker 3: the term that way.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Because you're not an old man.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Oh, why do you get you know?
- 7:44Speaker 5: Where?
- 7:44Speaker 2: I just I just we had so much fun at
- 7:48Speaker 2: Bogey Brothers.
- 7:49Speaker 3: What were you doing?
- 7:50Speaker 2: Motocross track up in Barnett?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Don't tell me you on the track?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Gee, I brought my my dirt bike.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Lily of course had had hers, and she's she's learning
- 8:03Speaker 2: up there and learning well, and she's amazing.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Every time I come to your house, she's on the property,
- 8:10Speaker 3: driving all over the place and her dirt bikes. She's
- 8:12Speaker 3: even got her friends coming over and riding on their bikes.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Listen, I was forty three when Lily was born. I'm
- 8:20Speaker 2: a late bloomer. I'm an older dad. I'm fifty four
- 8:25Speaker 2: and I have a ten year old.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yep.
- 8:27Speaker 2: So I see Chuck is calling here, so he's probably
- 8:32Speaker 2: gonna want awagh in.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's ooy. Here comes Shuck.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So you know I I I'm loading up the dirt
- 8:40Speaker 2: bike and Sherylyn's like, oh, you're not gonna You're not
- 8:45Speaker 2: going to, are you? You are You're not going to
- 8:48Speaker 2: get on that dirt bike track, are you? And then
- 8:51Speaker 2: I go Lily saying, come on, dad, come on dad, and.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I'll be honest with you. I was kind of I
- 8:57Speaker 3: was a little, uh apprehend said apprehensive. Let's use that
- 9:02Speaker 3: word cautiously apprehensive.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You know me, You anyone who knows me knows I
- 9:10Speaker 2: have no business whatsoever being on a motocross.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I can't even imagine all that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: On a can't do it? Yeah, no, shouldn't be doing it,
- 9:21Speaker 2: new Chuck.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Don't slowly, what's that, Chuck, Do they have a slow lane?
- 9:25Speaker 2: A slow lane? Do they have a slow lane?
- 9:30Speaker 3: They should have a walking lane for you walker your
- 9:34Speaker 3: trading wheels, you know, the whole nine yards.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Watch up, Chuck, flashing lights morning.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Moaning, buddy, I didn't go down. I did not go
- 9:44Speaker 2: down yesterday.
- 9:45Speaker 7: So the reason I called was I heard some smack
- 9:48Speaker 7: about gingers being talked about, so I had to call immediately.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, so who's who's.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Running her mouth about gingers?
- 9:56Speaker 3: Says j D says, Oh, I'm feeling a little ginger today,
- 10:01Speaker 3: And I said, what the hell does that mean? Ginger
- 10:04Speaker 3: means a redhead? Why are you feeling redheads?
- 10:07Speaker 6: Yeah? Okay, now I understand.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Have you ever heard that phrase, I'm feeling a little ginger?
- 10:14Speaker 6: No, I've never heard that before.
- 10:16Speaker 3: But he says, it's so an old man's phrase.
- 10:20Speaker 6: So what's it mean?
- 10:22Speaker 3: It means sore, whatever the hell that is.
- 10:25Speaker 7: So, what the heck does ginger have to do with
- 10:27Speaker 7: sold I know, find the old man that made that up?
- 10:34Speaker 6: Maybe he knows.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And then he says, it's only old people would know that.
- 10:38Speaker 3: What the hell does that mean?
- 10:40Speaker 6: Where are the old people? Chime it in? Yeah, let
- 10:43Speaker 6: us know what.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, where's the old people, Glenn? Where are you?
- 10:46Speaker 3: They're all dead?
- 10:48Speaker 6: Come on, Glenn, you represent the old people.
- 10:50Speaker 2: It's where are you? Donna?
- 10:54Speaker 3: Whoa? Throw Donna under the bus, poor Donna.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Sherilyn just comment here he made one last night. I'm
- 11:02Speaker 2: not sure what that. I made one lap. No, I
- 11:05Speaker 2: didn't make one lap. Okay, So if that's what the
- 11:09Speaker 2: kind of ship she's gonna slow start.
- 11:13Speaker 7: Too careful, you'll be sleeping on the couch again, or
- 11:15Speaker 7: you might get almost shot again.
- 11:17Speaker 3: She may she may not give you your nuts back
- 11:20Speaker 3: if you keep it up, because I know she holds
- 11:22Speaker 3: them tight.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I think I did. I think I did four laps
- 11:26Speaker 2: on this track yesterday.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but I want to know what Shirley means by
- 11:30Speaker 3: you did one.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I think she says. I'm guessing that she's saying lap,
- 11:35Speaker 2: but I just think.
- 11:37Speaker 7: It's something else, but probably too perverted to mention.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Whatever, shop shop.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Whatever. Oh oh, she's saying, I made a slow lane.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Okay, Yes, you definitely did.
- 11:53Speaker 6: They probably named it after you too, after you left.
- 11:57Speaker 3: The j D lane. You know, the beginners and walkers only.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Shelby's Shelby's son Luke was was uh up? Up there
- 12:09Speaker 2: and doing some work with with Lily and kind of
- 12:11Speaker 2: training her. And you know, he's a younger guy. He
- 12:15Speaker 2: built the track, so he knows what he's he's one
- 12:17Speaker 2: of the Bogey brothers. And he's like, uh, I'm like, well,
- 12:20Speaker 2: I'm thinking about taking my bike out and he's like okay,
- 12:23Speaker 2: And of course, of course I'm properly prepared. I'm wearing shorts,
- 12:29Speaker 2: of course, yeah. Uh, and sneakers, the smart thing to
- 12:33Speaker 2: wear on everyone's got motocross gear.
- 12:36Speaker 3: And the smart thing to wear on a dirt.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Track motocross boots, you know, chest protectors, all the stuff.
- 12:43Speaker 2: What am I wearing? Uh? You know, shorts and a
- 12:46Speaker 2: T shirt and sneakers.
- 12:48Speaker 3: You actually clothed.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I wasn't talk about that this morning.
- 12:53Speaker 3: We're gonna talk about that too, but go on.
- 12:55Speaker 2: So I I uh, I said to lukem like, I'm
- 13:00Speaker 2: thinking about uh taking a taking a run, and he's like,
- 13:05Speaker 2: all right, man, well just you know, uh, just relax
- 13:08Speaker 2: and hold your line. What is he what is he
- 13:14Speaker 2: talking about?
- 13:15Speaker 3: Hold my hold on my line?
- 13:17Speaker 2: You know, basically, find a groove. Yeah, stay in your lane,
- 13:21Speaker 2: find a groove. You're right, Chuck, you know, the right
- 13:24Speaker 2: line yeah. But anyway, it was an absolute blast. They
- 13:29Speaker 2: were making pizza up there, and it's just a great, beautiful, awesome.
- 13:35Speaker 7: So I got a funny story for you guys when
- 13:37Speaker 7: you're ready, Jesus go all right. So I like to
- 13:41Speaker 7: do the updates on the Crackheads and Berry. So this morning,
- 13:47Speaker 7: I get up, I scrambs up some change to go
- 13:49Speaker 7: to Comby's to get my morning breakfast because I have
- 13:51Speaker 7: to eat with my medication. And I'm talking to the ladies,
- 13:55Speaker 7: you know, I'm a regular.
- 13:57Speaker 6: I look out.
- 13:57Speaker 7: One of the employees is walking outside. He's knocking on
- 14:00Speaker 7: this window, and well, there's this young lady in there
- 14:03Speaker 7: that's passed out, knotted out from drugs. I'm assuming engine
- 14:09Speaker 7: still running, parked at the pumps, just passed out.
- 14:13Speaker 1: She pulled in to get gas.
- 14:14Speaker 6: And passed out. They had to go and knock and
- 14:20Speaker 6: wake her up to get her.
- 14:22Speaker 7: To keep going because she was holding up the lane
- 14:24Speaker 7: and the car was running.
- 14:26Speaker 6: It was crazy, dude, absolutely nuts.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Do you have Do you have any video of this
- 14:33Speaker 2: chuck out?
- 14:34Speaker 7: I should have got some video, but I was I
- 14:36Speaker 7: was late for work, so I had to keep going.
- 14:38Speaker 7: But but yeah, that's just every morning I've got something,
- 14:41Speaker 7: so like this morning, some lady couldn't pump her gas
- 14:43Speaker 7: because she couldn't stay awake long enough.
- 14:46Speaker 6: So I just had to share that.
- 14:48Speaker 7: So, you know, Barry is beautiful this time of year,
- 14:52Speaker 7: so coming come and visit.
- 14:57Speaker 5: You know.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I I know you're you're you're seeing this, and I know,
- 15:03Speaker 2: should we do like a weekly report with you?
- 15:05Speaker 7: I would love to we should do that because I've
- 15:07Speaker 7: got I mean, I even got footage of the zombies
- 15:10Speaker 7: going down the street. Yeah, you know, it's it's pretty wild.
- 15:14Speaker 7: So if we if, I would love to do a
- 15:15Speaker 7: little segment of you know, the obviously we call it
- 15:18Speaker 7: the crackhead Joke of the Week or the crackhead of
- 15:21Speaker 7: the week, whatever you want.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Listen you you you came over to the house the
- 15:31Speaker 2: other night, and.
- 15:33Speaker 6: Yes, yes, oh here we go. You're gonna bring that.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Up, aren't you? No you do it?
- 15:38Speaker 7: No, no, me, you're talking about the edibles. I'm assuming right.
- 15:42Speaker 2: No, I was gonna I was talking about the I
- 15:45Speaker 2: was talking about the leak, the leak in the basement.
- 15:48Speaker 6: Oh, the leak in the basement.
- 15:50Speaker 1: If you want to, Oh no, no, we'll go to
- 15:52Speaker 1: the leak in the basement.
- 15:53Speaker 6: We can bring that up. How long has that been
- 15:55Speaker 6: going on? How long is that leak in the basement
- 15:59Speaker 6: going on?
- 15:59Speaker 7: You know, there's people in other countries that are dying
- 16:02Speaker 7: for water, and what you got going on in your basement.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I've had a leak down there for a couple of
- 16:10Speaker 2: months now. And what I've learned is that if you
- 16:15Speaker 2: ignore it long enough, the the the elements, the minerals
- 16:21Speaker 2: inside the water, because it's very hard, water will kind
- 16:25Speaker 2: of will kind of work from the inside out and
- 16:29Speaker 2: kind of seal itself and just kind of you know,
- 16:32Speaker 2: plug its own, its own hole and fix it its own. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 2: that's that's what I've learned. Isn't that amazing?
- 16:39Speaker 6: So we've been doing it all wrong all these years?
- 16:41Speaker 2: Then wrong? Or just wait if your patients just.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Wait long enough and it'll fill itself up exactly and
- 16:48Speaker 6: heal itself.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Yes, well you'll got You don't got Roman concrete down
- 16:53Speaker 7: in your basement, buddy, so it's not going to heal itself.
- 16:56Speaker 2: One of these One of these days, I would love
- 17:00Speaker 2: to stream live from my patio and chat with you
- 17:07Speaker 2: about some some very private matters, which I think would
- 17:13Speaker 2: be fun if if we could.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Say you on a live stream and talk about private matters.
- 17:18Speaker 2: From my patio, from my patio.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Okay, all right, I'm down with that.
- 17:23Speaker 1: All right, buddy, Can we start with you first?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, Yeah, I'll go first.
- 17:28Speaker 6: We'll start with the olive oil.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I would love to do the Ali oil story. I would.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I would.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I think I've shared that on the air, but I
- 17:36Speaker 2: honestly I can't remember.
- 17:38Speaker 6: Well, well, we'll start with that one, Chuck.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You have a wonderful weekend, buddy, I love Yeah, you.
- 17:42Speaker 7: Too, you too, have a great day, and no more
- 17:45Speaker 7: picking on gingers.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I won't, I promise I won't. Man, there is
- 17:51Speaker 2: so much stuff going on this weekend. The sixty seventh
- 17:55Speaker 2: annual from Aunt Antique and Classic Car Meet happening this weekend,

- 18:18Speaker 2: hot wheels racing, the youth judging, the fashion show, the auction,
- 18:23Speaker 2: the street dance. And I want to mention that admission
- 18:29Speaker 2: is free to the public, but parking is ten bucks.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Tomorrow and Saturday, do stop by the Beer Garden. Chamber
- 18:37Speaker 2: of Commerce is hosting that and they do a great job. Also,
- 18:41Speaker 2: the Toy Run is happening this weekend to benefit the
- 18:45Speaker 2: Shriners Hospitals for Children right here in Central Vermont. It's
- 18:49Speaker 2: going to be amazing. Starts at nine am. Staging will
- 18:53Speaker 2: be of course at Blue Cross Blue Shield Kickstance up
- 18:56Speaker 2: at noon. They've been doing this for a long long time.
- 19:00Speaker 2: There will be many motorcyclists out on Saturday donating unwrapped
- 19:06Speaker 2: toys and cash and checks and what not to the

- 19:35Speaker 2: every month. And yes, we're going to be talking a
- 19:39Speaker 2: whole lot more about the Nodes Family Benefit on the
- 19:43Speaker 2: twenty third. I've been chatting with Mark Tetrow and this
- 19:49Speaker 2: is going to be an incredible event on the twenty third,
- 19:53Speaker 2: starts at two pm, goes to eight thirty. It's going
- 19:57Speaker 2: to be a family friendly and a lot of fun event,
- 20:01Speaker 2: and most importantly, we're going to be helping out the
- 20:04Speaker 2: Notes family to rebuild their their farm, their their barn
- 20:09Speaker 2: that burned down in April. And I look forward to
- 20:14Speaker 2: giving you more details on this as as time rolls on.
- 20:18Speaker 2: So it looks like Rex has just stumbled into the
- 20:23Speaker 2: studio this morning and.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I didn't even I didn't even know that I was here. Yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 3: we we were going to get up and go for breakfast.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Really well, yeah, because you're in the middle of talking
- 20:36Speaker 3: to Chuck like I wasn't even here, So I said,
- 20:38Speaker 3: we'll walk the two the.

- 20:43Speaker 2: call on the air he's got.
- 20:44Speaker 3: To because the microphones were off, and we were like, well,
- 20:47Speaker 3: why the hell are we here?
- 20:50Speaker 1: I came for the breakfast of the drama. You came
- 20:53Speaker 1: for the what breakfast in drama?

- 21:18Speaker 3: pretended something's wrong with your so that you can get
- 21:22Speaker 3: out of the fight, which I knew you were going
- 21:24Speaker 3: to get your juice, see.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And that that was the only way I could see.
- 21:28Speaker 3: No, that's the point. And then you come in here
- 21:31Speaker 3: and say, oh, breakfast, and I'm like, yeah, let's go,
- 21:34Speaker 3: And you're like, okay, I'm on a personal call.
- 21:36Speaker 1: What the fuck? As soon as I mentioned breakfast, that's
- 21:39Speaker 1: all of a sudden he's like, oh, well, now I
- 21:41Speaker 1: want to pay attention to the guys that are leaving.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Me breakfast right because he wants to be fed too.

- 22:05Speaker 3: I know, I get out. Let's lock that door. I
- 22:08Speaker 3: get out. I go out to his house the other day,
- 22:11Speaker 3: jed night to hang out with him. Okay, he is
- 22:16Speaker 3: sitting on the floor in his underwear.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Okay, in his underwear. Yeah, that's not surprising. Okay, you're
- 22:24Speaker 1: lucky underwear.
- 22:25Speaker 3: On lifts up his shirt and now I see his
- 22:29Speaker 3: belly and his I said, this is how you greet
- 22:32Speaker 3: your guests in underwear. And then he goes outside, Geez,
- 22:38Speaker 3: come out, it's beautiful, come out and side. So I
- 22:41Speaker 3: go outside on the deck. Lily hands him a fucking duck.
- 22:47Speaker 3: He's practically making love to this duck. Use it will
- 22:50Speaker 3: be bad. And it's shitting on him in the deck
- 22:53Speaker 3: where we're gonna eat, like all this liquid shit everywhere.
- 23:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, welcome to Vermont.
- 23:02Speaker 3: And then he goes, you're hungry yet you want me
- 23:03Speaker 3: to start the grill? I'm looking to ship on him
- 23:06Speaker 3: and on the floor, and I'm going, why would I
- 23:08Speaker 3: be hungry? Right now?
- 23:10Speaker 2: Duck?
- 23:10Speaker 1: He's serving ducks.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Obviously, that's what I said. I said, let's snap its neck, cook.
- 23:16Speaker 2: It easy now, easy? Now, this was wrong. This is
- 23:19Speaker 2: Lily's pet. I even told.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Lily that I says, if we snap it, snack and pull,
- 23:24Speaker 3: it's better as that would throw that on the grill.
- 23:26Speaker 1: In half an hour, will be he saw being weird.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Get your daughter a dog like a normal These are

- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, no, we could talk Lily. I bet Lily would
- 23:51Speaker 1: kill it for us.
- 23:52Speaker 2: No, stop with her. She loves these ducks more than
- 23:56Speaker 2: anything in the world, including me.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Let me Bible mode, Lily. She'd be like, watch this,
- 24:03Speaker 1: unclerect Yeah no, don't don't feed Do not underestimate your daughter.

- 24:15Speaker 2: Crystal is so excited, she can crystals so excited she
- 24:19Speaker 2: could barely contain herself because she's got both of you
- 24:22Speaker 2: assholes on the air at the same time.
- 24:24Speaker 1: This is you know what I just put like twenty
- 24:27Speaker 1: nickels in that goddamn machine out there because I was
- 24:32Speaker 1: driving by. I didn't plan on coming here. I just
- 24:34Speaker 1: planned on walking awkwardly past the Uh.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Did he walked this way quiet late, looking in? Then
- 24:41Speaker 3: he turned around and walked this way quiet late. Then
- 24:44Speaker 3: he walks up to the stairs and starts checking the door.
- 24:47Speaker 3: So I was like, well, let me let him man out.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I can't see you when I'm standing right there, I
- 24:52Speaker 1: can't see you. I can see you when I come
- 24:53Speaker 1: over here, but when I stand in front of the door,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I can see you. But I didn't realize I was
- 24:57Speaker 1: waving at until after I put like thirty nickels in
- 24:59Speaker 1: that fucking thing. It doesn't take. I was like, why
- 25:02Speaker 1: isn't the time going?
- 25:04Speaker 3: And if you don't put it in, that little lady
- 25:06Speaker 3: walks by, and boyd does she zapp it every time?
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't matter. But there's like, like I said,
- 25:11Speaker 1: there's there's two dollars worth of nickels in there, and
- 25:13Speaker 1: I got no time, no time Onoever, they'll probably boot it.
- 25:19Speaker 1: That's just a story of my life right lately.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Have you ever heard of the phrase I feel ginger today?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:28Speaker 2: Of course, Oh, thank you Rex.
- 25:30Speaker 3: No you haven't, Yes, the only thing I could think of.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I never like, do you feel ginger?
- 25:36Speaker 3: No, ginger is a redhead.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Well, yes, it is a soulless redhead. But the English language.
- 25:43Speaker 8: So our English language is so fucked up, like we
- 25:52Speaker 8: have several different meanings for the same thing.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but I've never heard that, he says. Oh, old
- 25:58Speaker 3: people know that line. Oh thanks, that's what he says. Yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 3: and I heard of it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: You've never heard of being feeling ginger?
- 26:07Speaker 3: No, the only feeling ginger I think of as feeling ginger.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Yeah, like your soul left your body.
- 26:14Speaker 3: No, No, that's a dumb frame I'm into.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Uh, I got the AI pulled up here? Shall we
- 26:21Speaker 2: show you right here? The word ginger can refer to
- 26:24Speaker 2: several things. It can mean the spice derived from the
- 26:26Speaker 2: ginger plant, a person with reddish hair, also known as chuck,
- 26:31Speaker 2: or a cautious, careful manner. If you're feeling ginger, it's
- 26:35Speaker 2: likely you're using the the the the feeling, or acting cautiously,
- 26:43Speaker 2: perhaps because something is delicate, risky, or potentially painful.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Oh well, there you go. And I did not think that.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I didn't use ginger feeling ginger in that.
- 26:55Speaker 3: That's what he used it as and I didn't know
- 26:57Speaker 3: what the hell he was saying.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So we've been using ginger feeling ginger in a wrong manner.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Anyway, I guess. So Glen says it's feeling good.
- 27:05Speaker 1: So that's what I thought feeling ginger was really Yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 1: well wait a minute. But gingerly walking, yes, now we're
- 27:13Speaker 1: getting into.
- 27:13Speaker 2: The ginger you're limping.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Wow, get out of that whole real quick, because then
- 27:18Speaker 3: I have a problem.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Once I get into a whole, I have a lot
- 27:20Speaker 1: of problem getting out of it.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Oh, I know, Oh, I know. I've seen your shows.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Yes, I mean.
- 27:32Speaker 3: There's poor j D trying to throw a life light
- 27:34Speaker 3: down and you keep going. I was like, he's gone,
- 27:38Speaker 3: that's it. I have tried to pull him out of
- 27:41Speaker 3: icly the mic on him and go for a walk.
- 27:44Speaker 3: He'll be back a little bit.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Will is saying it's gingerly, So I think.
- 27:49Speaker 3: He's gingerly that I've heard.
- 27:52Speaker 1: That that there we go, when you're gingerly walking, Yes, yes,
- 27:55Speaker 1: that I heard you. Willing ginger is also a thing.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Now gingerly.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I can buy gingerly walking because my.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Father used to say that. He'd be like, oh, gingerly,
- 28:05Speaker 3: go that way, or I feel like I'm going to
- 28:07Speaker 3: gingerly do this. But I didn't understand ginger feeling ginger.
- 28:12Speaker 3: That's like, what do you call it, Gilligan's Island? You're
- 28:15Speaker 3: feeling ginger, feeling ginger. That's what I meant.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I wasn't going there on Thursdays, we uh G and
- 28:29Speaker 2: I talk about uh we use this as a as
- 28:34Speaker 2: an opportunity to you know, counsel ourselves and to find
- 28:39Speaker 2: some some peace and some hope. And therefore we have
- 28:44Speaker 2: a little segment called what burns my ass.
- 28:49Speaker 1: So flame about? I was gonna say three feet all
- 28:52Speaker 1: but about a foot and a half.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Well for him, Gee, you go first?
- 29:03Speaker 2: You really seriously you want me to go first? So
- 29:05Speaker 2: why not? Why is it? And I want to ask
- 29:10Speaker 2: you both of you this, I'm asking everyone please, why
- 29:13Speaker 2: is it that when you go anywhere it seems like
- 29:17Speaker 2: these days? I mean recently it was at the bank
- 29:20Speaker 2: with a teller, and last night at an ice cream.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Place they were playing pony that.
- 29:29Speaker 2: You've got a an employee, often a young girl who
- 29:34Speaker 2: is on the other side of the counter.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Why do we have to qualify a young person?
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I was about to say his misogyn it's just
- 29:41Speaker 1: glared right out surprise with him to having a daughter. Yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 1: Judges went in.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Why why yeah, why why do we have to identify
- 29:51Speaker 3: it as a female because.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It's normal because they're a lesser human whoa, whoa, you
- 29:59Speaker 1: gotta watch out. You say it's on air now and
- 30:01Speaker 1: it's out there now JD. Yeah, why do a week?
- 30:07Speaker 2: It just seems like I don't I don't know what
- 30:11Speaker 2: it is, but it's you. You ask a simple question
- 30:17Speaker 2: and you get this like valley girl response. I'm sorry.
- 30:23Speaker 2: It's usually girls. I'm sorry.
- 30:27Speaker 3: They go like, yeah, so.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Last night we asked what's in the caramel crunch fudge
- 30:39Speaker 2: chunk Graham.
- 30:42Speaker 1: As you list the freaking ingredients caramel, I would absolutely
- 30:49Speaker 1: gave you the valley girl answer with are you serious
- 30:54Speaker 1: those eggs?
- 30:56Speaker 2: Eggs?
- 30:59Speaker 1: Maybe that's like so it's like a fudge with like uh.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Cram cracker, like crusty like vanilla, Like why does everything
- 31:16Speaker 2: like have to have a question mark. He's such a
- 31:18Speaker 2: boomer at the end of the race.
- 31:21Speaker 3: There's so many people out there that are like they say, well,
- 31:25Speaker 3: like I didn't know, maybe it's could be It's like,
- 31:30Speaker 3: what is that language? What is that I don't know.
- 31:33Speaker 1: That's that is the new language. That is so back
- 31:37Speaker 1: in our day, what was it wicked? Wicked? Cool, stupid?
- 31:41Speaker 1: Oh oh that wasn't that was cool. But our parents
- 31:43Speaker 1: were like, what the shut your mouth because we're boomers now.
- 31:47Speaker 1: So now we look at them kids and be like,
- 31:49Speaker 1: shut your mouth. You're selling an idiot.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Well, because they are, because they are parents. They don't
- 31:56Speaker 3: know how to do math, they don't understand English, they
- 31:59Speaker 3: don't understand anything because they're in their own world. So
- 32:02Speaker 3: they are kind of idiots, and they're the ones that
- 32:03Speaker 3: are going to run the country when we're dead.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Charylyn Chriylyn just bought something and I don't know what.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I don't know what it was, but she just gave
- 32:11Speaker 2: them like some cash and like fifty three cents so
- 32:17Speaker 2: that she could get.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Oh you confuse them get cash back without any change.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Yep, blew their mind. Yeah, you blew their mind.
- 32:28Speaker 3: They didn't know what to do.
- 32:31Speaker 2: You know.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I've told them many times that means I get a
- 32:34Speaker 3: five back?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:35Speaker 2: Right?
- 32:35Speaker 3: Does it does that well? The computer and then they
- 32:40Speaker 3: punch it and they're like, oh you get five back.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I was like, here's your sign.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Just I don't even take change.
- 32:48Speaker 3: And I always say to them, did you graduate in Spalding?
- 32:51Speaker 1: My brother? My brother graduated from Spalling, made it down
- 32:54Speaker 1: to Air Force training. They found out a third grade
- 32:57Speaker 1: reading level and they fucking sent him home. Yeah, disqualified
- 33:00Speaker 1: him the Air Force.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Can can we just try to speak normally?
- 33:08Speaker 3: Hey?
- 33:09Speaker 2: Uh, you know, what's what?
- 33:11Speaker 3: What?
- 33:12Speaker 2: What is this? Well, let's you.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Know, yeah, let's talk about customers.
- 33:18Speaker 2: It's like how a fudge cross like Cave Vanella.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd be better if they just said.
- 33:29Speaker 1: So my ass, I'm gonna go on that. So that's
- 33:33Speaker 1: a customer service. And so nowadays this is the problem
- 33:38Speaker 1: with customer service. And we just ran into it and
- 33:42Speaker 1: we almost One of my guys that works for me
- 33:44Speaker 1: is big as he's a professional fighter, and he had
- 33:47Speaker 1: to deal with somebody in customer service and they almost
- 33:50Speaker 1: got murdered. Like they people don't understand, like some people
- 33:53Speaker 1: don't care about consequences. But anyway, beyond that, you're working
- 33:58Speaker 1: in customer service. There's no longer a bunch of people
- 34:03Speaker 1: that take your place. So people in customer service are
- 34:07Speaker 1: allowed to act the shittiest absolute way, and then they're boring.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Then their bosses. So I went to their boss. I
- 34:15Speaker 1: was like, Yo, you know, the guy's like throwing a
- 34:18Speaker 1: tantrum that we just bought some signing from you. He's
- 34:21Speaker 1: fucking ed. Walks up to him. He's like, you don't
- 34:25Speaker 1: get to act like that. You're in fucking customer service.
- 34:29Speaker 1: And then it turned into a whole fucking fight and
- 34:31Speaker 1: da da da da. Another guy gets out of the car.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Now he's like, all right, I'll kill both of you.
- 34:35Speaker 1: And it's just so. I went to the company and
- 34:39Speaker 1: I was like, Yo, your guys fucking hate their job.
- 34:42Speaker 1: They're out there, they're fucking treating customers like shit. As
- 34:47Speaker 1: soon as I mentioned it to the other carpenters, they're like, oh,
- 34:49Speaker 1: you're talking about so and so. Yeah, everybody knew who
- 34:52Speaker 1: the fucking guy was in the back, and.
- 34:54Speaker 3: They allowed them to keep right.
- 34:56Speaker 1: So I bring it up to him. I'm like, hey, man,
- 34:58Speaker 1: you might want to have a meeting with you guys.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Let them know, you know, they're working in customer service.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I get pulled into the office by the manager and
- 35:05Speaker 1: they told me they're like, if your guys are gonna
- 35:07Speaker 1: go after our fucking yard crew, you're not gonna be
- 35:09Speaker 1: allowed in here. I was like, so you just couldn't
- 35:13Speaker 1: doone the behavior of course of your piece of ship.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Guys out there said cool, good to know man.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yep, yep, so yes you have.
- 35:22Speaker 1: So now we're stuck with a whole bunch of customer
- 35:24Speaker 1: service that are not really doing customer service. I'd never imagine,
- 35:28Speaker 1: like me and Scotty talked about this, I could never
- 35:31Speaker 1: imagine going to one of my customers, having my guys
- 35:35Speaker 1: scream at one of my fucking customers and then go
- 35:38Speaker 1: up and tell my customer don't ever do that again.
- 35:40Speaker 1: You're a ship bag, you know.
- 35:44Speaker 2: I know, man, you know what I mean?
- 35:46Speaker 1: Like, Oh, no, you want to think I'm gonna go
- 35:48Speaker 1: to my guys and be like, that's a fucking customer. Well,
- 35:50Speaker 1: they're making your paycheck.
- 35:52Speaker 3: The respect level has has definitely dropped over the years.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I want you guys to glance down at your
- 36:00Speaker 2: monitor because I want to show you something and I
- 36:08Speaker 2: just ill coffee all right.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Nope, you want me to pat your shoulder that's hurt.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Well I almost choke myself out. That would have been
- 36:19Speaker 1: a first. I usually choke other people.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I would have been like, we took him down people,
- 36:24Speaker 3: I was.
- 36:25Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, because if you need mouth
- 36:27Speaker 2: to mouth, you're screwed.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, you're screwed. I mean maybe not for g No,
- 36:32Speaker 3: what has he done for me lately? Nothing?
- 36:35Speaker 2: I'm just saying for me, I'm not going to put
- 36:38Speaker 2: my lips against practist lips coffee on them.
- 36:42Speaker 3: No, I won't.
- 36:43Speaker 1: He's lying when he's resting his head on my shoulder,
- 36:48Speaker 1: he's lying.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Glance down at your monitor. I want to show you, guys,
- 36:51Speaker 2: something that Rylyn reminded me of. Okay, are you ready
- 36:54Speaker 2: for this?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:55Speaker 2: All right, are you listening? You're paying attention here, we're
- 36:58Speaker 2: sitting down. Here we go.
- 37:01Speaker 6: What can I get you?
- 37:04Speaker 4: Like?
- 37:04Speaker 9: A large coffee?
- 37:05Speaker 6: Okay? So howk coffee?
- 37:07Speaker 3: Tod craffee?
- 37:08Speaker 6: Okay, room for cream.
- 37:10Speaker 9: Totally, room for crey.
- 37:12Speaker 6: Why are you talking like that?
- 37:14Speaker 9: Why are you talking like that?
- 37:15Speaker 6: Because this is my voice, this is my wise. No,
- 37:18Speaker 6: it's not. I heard you talking a minute ago. I
- 37:20Speaker 6: know you don't talk like that.
- 37:21Speaker 9: Neither do you, Because nobody actually talks like this. You
- 37:24Speaker 9: choose to talk like this, and today I chose.
- 37:26Speaker 6: To talk like this.
- 37:27Speaker 9: Pretty fucking annoying.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Isn't it?
- 37:29Speaker 6: Why it is so rude?
- 37:30Speaker 9: Man, just stop doing that.
- 37:32Speaker 6: I can't help us my voice.
- 37:33Speaker 9: No, it's not. It's an affectation that annoying teenagers and
- 37:38Speaker 9: rich people use to sound like they don't give a shit,
- 37:41Speaker 9: except you work in a coffee shop, so I know
- 37:43Speaker 9: you're not rich and you don't look like a teenager
- 37:46Speaker 9: unless you're a Unis Kennedy shreiver.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Knock it off.
- 37:49Speaker 6: So just because I talk like this, I mean they
- 37:51Speaker 6: don't give a shit. And what exactly I'm supposed to
- 37:54Speaker 6: not give a shit about?
- 37:55Speaker 9: That's an excellent question to ask yourself in your actual voice.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Excuse me, some of us would like to order. Okay,
- 38:06Speaker 6: you're total diff man.
- 38:08Speaker 3: There there you go. Good, you're talking. Wow, I love that.
- 38:22Speaker 3: I mean that ship right there, it is And that's
- 38:25Speaker 3: the way people talk now and the ash and they
- 38:31Speaker 3: they sound good.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You know what's funny is and I know that that
- 38:35Speaker 1: that you guys are dealing with this now on the
- 38:37Speaker 1: East Coast like back in the nineties, Yeah, the West
- 38:41Speaker 1: Coast is like.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Oh my god, it was the Valley Girl surf. Yeah
- 38:46Speaker 3: that was the Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I lived on the West Coast during that time, so
- 38:49Speaker 1: that's just.
- 38:50Speaker 2: A yeah, you know what. What also burns my ass?
- 38:54Speaker 2: Is I know?
- 38:57Speaker 3: I know?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Glenn emroids.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Lenn is saying that we sound like a bunch of
- 39:02Speaker 2: old men, now old farm.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Oh look look at the pot. Look at the.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Pot exactly Glenn.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Glenn is referring to YouTube, not me.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Okay, fair, please listen to these grumpy old men.
- 39:18Speaker 1: What are you?
- 39:19Speaker 3: Ninety five? Now?
- 39:20Speaker 2: I have something else that burns my ass, but gee,
- 39:23Speaker 2: please you go.
- 39:23Speaker 3: You know what? You know what burns my ass? This
- 39:27Speaker 3: is what burns my ass. When my husband and I
- 39:30Speaker 3: go to home depot and the guy comes over and says, hi,
- 39:35Speaker 3: can I help you with something? Now we're in the
- 39:38Speaker 3: eye looking at it.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Whoa that happens at home depot?
- 39:41Speaker 4: Oh?
- 39:41Speaker 3: Yeah, they walk over. Can I help you with something?
- 39:44Speaker 1: Run away from me? I can't.
- 39:45Speaker 3: And my husband says, yeah, where are the little clamps
- 39:48Speaker 3: that you use for shelves? And they go, oh, hold on,
- 39:52Speaker 3: and they pull out their phone and they type it
- 39:56Speaker 3: in and my husband says to them, I could use
- 39:58Speaker 3: my fucking phone. What I'm asking you because you work here?
- 40:04Speaker 3: Well hold on. It says it's an aisle three section
- 40:09Speaker 3: B here follow me. Now he's gonna walk us to
- 40:12Speaker 3: aisle three because we don't know. We can't read fucking
- 40:15Speaker 3: signs that say aisle three and go to se and
- 40:18Speaker 3: he goes over and he goes, oh, it's supposed to
- 40:20Speaker 3: be Yeah, I don't we must be out of it.
- 40:24Speaker 3: And it's like, are you fucking kidding me? I could
- 40:26Speaker 3: have used my own phone to look something up. Or
- 40:29Speaker 3: you say to somebody at the register, yo, what is
- 40:32Speaker 3: this made of?
- 40:33Speaker 5: Well?
- 40:33Speaker 3: Hold on? And they pull up if you fucking work there,
- 40:36Speaker 3: and you ask me can I help you?
- 40:39Speaker 1: You should know once again customer service. They do not
- 40:42Speaker 1: learn their product. They are just there to put things
- 40:44Speaker 1: in the cart for.
- 40:45Speaker 3: But there were years ago we would go to home
- 40:47Speaker 3: depot and I'd ask a question and boom, they'd have
- 40:50Speaker 3: the answer. Now, all these kids they pull up the
- 40:52Speaker 3: phone and they look up and my husband says, well
- 40:55Speaker 3: for that. So I'll say to them, do you want
- 40:57Speaker 3: to ask somebody where it is? He says, and my
- 41:00Speaker 3: husband now just goes on. He looks it up. He goes, oh,
- 41:03Speaker 3: I'll let's go this way. I'm like, why the fuck
- 41:06Speaker 3: do these people not know their job? And they look
- 41:09Speaker 3: at the requirement because it's not Now it's just get
- 41:13Speaker 3: somebody in to fill the.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Spot, physical, breathing, human being so that we look like
- 41:18Speaker 2: we have people there.
- 41:22Speaker 1: When I did sales, I used to do sales, and
- 41:25Speaker 1: that was the very first thing that we had to learn.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Like Joe Psychotty sat me down with brochures. He's like exactly,
- 41:32Speaker 1: He's like, if you're not talking to a customer, you're
- 41:34Speaker 1: reading brochures. You need to know every single thing about
- 41:38Speaker 1: the product you're selling so that no answer stumps you.
- 41:43Speaker 1: And so this gets me to my my son's best friend,
- 41:48Speaker 1: Tavian just took a job and his job is to
- 41:53Speaker 1: be a salesman and they do warm calls, not cold calls.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, this is great. So the salesman
- 42:00Speaker 1: for this company, they're making one hundred and eighty thousand
- 42:03Speaker 1: dollars a year, and I'm like, bro, I could do
- 42:07Speaker 1: that fucking job. I could work literally a couple hours
- 42:09Speaker 1: a day. I would close one hundred percent of them,
- 42:13Speaker 1: right Because I understand sales. I understand so when somebody
- 42:19Speaker 1: would walk into the lot, I would walk out. There
- 42:22Speaker 1: was not a thing I did not know about that
- 42:24Speaker 1: Lincoln Carr sitting there, I knew every I had the
- 42:27Speaker 1: answer like that I didn't have to go ask somebody.
- 42:31Speaker 1: And so he's selling. It's a new it's a home
- 42:35Speaker 1: improvement company, and his job is to go and on.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Somebody calls up. They need a roof, they need sighting,
- 42:41Speaker 1: they need a bathroom remodel. Dude, there's not a thing
- 42:44Speaker 1: I don't know about all three of them fucking things
- 42:47Speaker 1: right there. These guys have to go and sit in
- 42:49Speaker 1: a class and learn a scripted Yeah. I don't need
- 42:53Speaker 1: none of that shit. Yeah, I do not need that.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Send me you've got somebody that needs a roof. I'm
- 42:57Speaker 1: gonna walk up, I'm gonna upsell. I'm gonna sell that thing.
- 42:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna make two as dollars a year, and I'm
- 43:00Speaker 1: gonna work literally an hour a day, you know, because
- 43:03Speaker 1: I learned customer service and building a rapport. And you know,
- 43:08Speaker 1: another one of Hunter's friend said, well I could do that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: He goes, you don't have to build a rapport with him.
- 43:12Speaker 1: You're talking to him for twenty minutes. I was like bullshit, No,
- 43:15Speaker 1: I said, I am I become somebody's best friend.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I was gonna say, you ever ask for any price?
- 43:20Speaker 1: I mean, especially when you're walking and you're asking somebody
- 43:24Speaker 1: for two hundred thousand dollars, Why do I get the job?
- 43:27Speaker 1: And the guy that spent fifteen minutes didn't get the
- 43:29Speaker 1: job even though his price was cheaper, just because I
- 43:32Speaker 1: sat down. I know everything about their family, their kids.
- 43:34Speaker 1: We exactly relatable things made them feel.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Just also just basic thinking outside of the box too.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I mean, if you don't know, then where's that taught
- 43:46Speaker 2: these days? I know it's where's that You know where
- 43:48Speaker 2: it was taught.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I'll tell you exactly where that was taught and why
- 43:52Speaker 1: we're lacking it right now. Take a wild guest. Who
- 43:55Speaker 1: used to teach our kids to teach out to learn
- 43:57Speaker 1: outside the box? Are fucking grandparents? They were the ones
- 44:03Speaker 1: because they were the ones that had to think outside
- 44:05Speaker 1: the bos.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Not my grandparents. They didn't teach me shit.
- 44:10Speaker 1: But I mean, that's all.
- 44:11Speaker 3: No, I know what you're saying. I understand what you're saying, right.
- 44:15Speaker 1: We don't You're not going to school to learn to
- 44:18Speaker 1: think outside the bar right now?
- 44:19Speaker 3: Well, now, it's just a matter of putting bodies in,
- 44:22Speaker 3: That's all it is. Because when I mean, I was
- 44:25Speaker 3: an executive retail manager, okay, I I was district managers
- 44:29Speaker 3: and regional managers. And so what I would do is
- 44:33Speaker 3: in the morning, whenever I opened a store for somebody
- 44:37Speaker 3: in the morning, people would I'd have my employees come
- 44:40Speaker 3: early and we would do role playing, okay, and the
- 44:44Speaker 3: role saying I would depend I'm a customer, and I
- 44:46Speaker 3: would have that and I'd say no, no, no. The
- 44:48Speaker 3: best way to approach this is this, And if you
- 44:51Speaker 3: don't know, don't say oh I don't know. Say you
- 44:53Speaker 3: know what, that's a great question. Let's go find out
- 44:55Speaker 3: from Billy the manager, and you take them up in
- 44:58Speaker 3: the Billy, this is John John, this is Billy. John
- 45:01Speaker 3: wants to know Bubba and you and you learn and
- 45:04Speaker 3: you interact. But now you go over to somebody say
- 45:07Speaker 3: do you have any size mediums of this? And they're like,
- 45:11Speaker 3: if it's not on the on the shelf, it's we poppy,
- 45:14Speaker 3: don't have it. And I'm like, could you check? And
- 45:18Speaker 3: then they go in the back, Oh, look we have
- 45:20Speaker 3: a couple.
- 45:22Speaker 2: What the fuck if it's how insulting to say, oh,
- 45:25Speaker 2: if it's not on the shelf.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Did you find any on that rack?
- 45:28Speaker 5: No?
- 45:28Speaker 3: I didn't, then we don't have any. It's like, well,
- 45:32Speaker 3: I could have done that math myself. You know, I
- 45:35Speaker 3: didn't need tell me that the role playing is important
- 45:40Speaker 3: because you're teaching them. You're not teaching him about the product,
- 45:43Speaker 3: because they have to learn that. You're teaching him how
- 45:46Speaker 3: to interact interest. Okay, because saying if it's not on
- 45:49Speaker 3: the shelf, then we don't have it. How about let
- 45:51Speaker 3: me check with another another store or another company and
- 45:55Speaker 3: see if they can get it for us. You know
- 45:58Speaker 3: that's that's how you will.
- 46:00Speaker 1: We would role play both good customers and.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Bad Yes, Oh do you go?
- 46:03Speaker 1: How do you bring down a customer that's super elevated?
- 46:07Speaker 1: How do you bring them backgrounded and still make the sale?
- 46:10Speaker 3: And what do you do when a customer gets angry
- 46:12Speaker 3: at you?
- 46:13Speaker 1: You know, raise your eyebrows, also blink, raise your eyebrows. Also,
- 46:18Speaker 1: this threatens.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Your parents need to parents need to teach their kids
- 46:25Speaker 2: to think outside of the pocket.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Well wait a minute, now, which parents and when? Which parents?
- 46:31Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 46:32Speaker 1: How are you doing during the day? How come like,
- 46:34Speaker 1: when when do young parents? When do young parents have
- 46:37Speaker 1: the time to teach their kids?
- 46:39Speaker 3: Well, the question is which parents? So you're talking about
- 46:43Speaker 3: parents that are you're talking about parents now that are
- 46:47Speaker 3: twenty twenty five years old, thirty. These are the ones
- 46:50Speaker 3: who are talking like valley guards. And so if they're
- 46:54Speaker 3: teaching their kid, their kid's not learning anything. Parents like
- 46:58Speaker 3: my parents are your parents that had values and knew
- 47:02Speaker 3: the meaning of hard work and saving a dollar and
- 47:06Speaker 3: knowing how to do math without a calculator. Those parents
- 47:10Speaker 3: were the ones that should teach. But the ones now
- 47:13Speaker 3: they don't even know how to use a calculator or
- 47:15Speaker 3: how do you do math without a calculator? And you
- 47:18Speaker 3: want them to teach these kids' ethics?
- 47:20Speaker 1: I disagree.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Oh I sorry, but the kids today are horrible.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Okay, so but I can.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Say something about him.
- 47:32Speaker 2: And Charylyn and I are always trying to teach Lily
- 47:37Speaker 2: with circumstantial stuff that that comes up, to think outside
- 47:42Speaker 2: the box and to find a solution.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Problem solve, problem solved, right solver instead of a problem maker.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Right you got? You got a problem here? The ducks
- 47:52Speaker 2: keep getting out of their pen, they're shitting on the patio. Whatever, Yeah,
- 47:58Speaker 2: let's figure this out, can you let's let's come up
- 48:01Speaker 2: with an idea here? Can you do this? Can you
- 48:03Speaker 2: think you know? Lily stalled out halfway up of very
- 48:07Speaker 2: steep hill yesterday on on the on on the motocross track.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Halfway up, She's got motorcycles coming up behind her. She's
- 48:18Speaker 2: got to think it quickly. What do I do here?
- 48:20Speaker 2: I need to, you know, lay down on the ground,
- 48:23Speaker 2: suck your thumb and cry.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Well do that?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, but it's like this is we need
- 48:29Speaker 2: to teach our kids as parents to problem solve and
- 48:34Speaker 2: to figure ship out on their own.
- 48:37Speaker 1: So I don't know what like what kids you guys
- 48:40Speaker 1: surround yourself with, but the kids and the appearance that
- 48:43Speaker 1: I surround myself with are pretty decent. The kids are.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I actually don't see any kid that talks like that.
- 48:50Speaker 1: And that's just that's where where I come from. We
- 48:53Speaker 1: we I see a lot of potential and a lot
- 48:58Speaker 1: of the young kids today. I see them so far
- 49:01Speaker 1: advanced from where I was at.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Some some.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I listen, I think they have a super advantage over
- 49:11Speaker 1: where we were at when we were their age. Their
- 49:14Speaker 1: their access to knowledge, their thinking prospect, their thinking process
- 49:20Speaker 1: is different from ours, right, wrong or indifferent, it's different
- 49:24Speaker 1: my kids. So my whole point was when we grew up,
- 49:28Speaker 1: it was very cut and dry. You go to school,
- 49:31Speaker 1: you graduate, you get a job, you have children, you
- 49:34Speaker 1: pay off your debt, you do this block block bloh
- 49:37Speaker 1: blah bloh. Okay, so and if that's the path you
- 49:40Speaker 1: want to take. And my parents were the same way.
- 49:44Speaker 1: And I watched my mother. They worked their entirely work
- 49:47Speaker 1: seven days a week, and the only day that they
- 49:49Speaker 1: took off early was they closed the store at four
- 49:51Speaker 1: o'clock on Sunday. They did that for years, right up
- 49:55Speaker 1: until they retired. They were old enough to go to
- 49:58Speaker 1: Kentucky and die. So my kids have a different perspective.
- 50:03Speaker 1: They're like, we don't want kids. We don't want kids,
- 50:06Speaker 1: we don't want a job. We are going to enjoy
- 50:08Speaker 1: life now at our age, and then we'll take a
- 50:12Speaker 1: job when we get older and have kids when we're older,
- 50:13Speaker 1: and we'll die in debt. And it's a totally different perspective.
- 50:18Speaker 1: And you know, thinking about it, you sit back, like,
- 50:21Speaker 1: what did my parents do? What did they get out
- 50:23Speaker 1: of life? They work their entire fucking life just for
- 50:27Speaker 1: my mom to sit on a couch and die. That
- 50:30Speaker 1: was the enjoyment my kids, Dude, I never took vacations,
- 50:34Speaker 1: Me and my wife, we didn't take vacations. Why we
- 50:37Speaker 1: would try to save money up, and then when it
- 50:39Speaker 1: came time, we were like, oh, something came up. We needed
- 50:41Speaker 1: something in the house. The kids needed braces, we needed something.
- 50:44Speaker 1: So my kids, they go on vacations, they do wild
- 50:48Speaker 1: fucking shit that I could never think of. I would
- 50:51Speaker 1: have never thought of it at their age. So to me,
- 50:56Speaker 1: it's a different perspective. I see a lot of kids
- 50:58Speaker 1: that are so far advanced in life. Yes, from where
- 51:03Speaker 1: I was at.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I mean, here's here's what I have to say about this.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I think that's it seems like that it's one or
- 51:12Speaker 2: the other because not long ago, I went up to
- 51:16Speaker 2: Peru High School in.
- 51:18Speaker 1: New York, York. I wrestled over there.
- 51:20Speaker 2: I sat down with a group of students that were
- 51:25Speaker 2: juniors and seniors. They have their own podcast up there.
- 51:29Speaker 2: I sat down with them, I was on their podcast
- 51:31Speaker 2: with them, they went on my podcast with me. But
- 51:35Speaker 2: I had some conversations with some of these students up
- 51:38Speaker 2: there that were seventeen, eighteen years old that blew me away.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Look at how Dean Withers, how mature, they were, how
- 51:48Speaker 2: very well spoken. They were ten million times better than
- 51:53Speaker 2: I was when I was eighteen years old. But I
- 51:55Speaker 2: think you get one or the other. These days, it's
- 51:58Speaker 2: like you either get someone who's eighteen going on twenty
- 52:02Speaker 2: five thirty. Mentally, they don't that's the other thing. They
- 52:07Speaker 2: don't communicate. We don't they know how to communicate.
- 52:10Speaker 1: Okay, very well.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Or you get this what we just showed at the
- 52:18Speaker 2: at the Starbucks counter? Right, So am I wrong?
- 52:22Speaker 1: No, you're not. You're not wrong. But I'll tell you
- 52:24Speaker 1: the difference between those two sets of people. You have
- 52:26Speaker 1: a set of people that never get that right of
- 52:30Speaker 1: passage to become an adult.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Understand.
- 52:32Speaker 1: So the ones that join the military, they go through
- 52:35Speaker 1: that right of passage, they go through that that thing
- 52:39Speaker 1: to become an adult. When we were when we were tribes,
- 52:42Speaker 1: when we were coming up through there was always something
- 52:44Speaker 1: to signify you becoming an adult, you becoming a man.
- 52:49Speaker 1: And the problem I think is there's so many broken
- 52:51Speaker 1: families out there. There's so many families out there that
- 52:53Speaker 1: never had that right of passage. So they just continue
- 52:56Speaker 1: on as children, adult children. They've never crossed over to
- 53:01Speaker 1: that adulthood. Does that you know what I mean?
- 53:04Speaker 3: I'm following you. I'm just there's a lot of disagreement
- 53:07Speaker 3: in my head. So I'm just.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Go go, I just I can't get stuck. I can't.
- 53:13Speaker 1: My father put me so far to the extreme the
- 53:16Speaker 1: other way. My father is that extreme fucking angry old man,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and so I am. I am the extreme opposite. I
- 53:25Speaker 1: hate to get angry at kids and see kids a
- 53:27Speaker 1: different purpose. So that's my perspective, and I I wholeheartedly
- 53:31Speaker 1: like that's just my perspective in how I came out,
- 53:34Speaker 1: and so it put me. It's the same thing on immigration.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Do I think that immigration has to be fucking something
- 53:40Speaker 1: has to be done. But I have a different perspective
- 53:42Speaker 1: because I lived with those people.
- 53:44Speaker 2: All right, So it's just a different Jess Jesus G's
- 53:48Speaker 2: n is going so that that there's a lot of
- 53:53Speaker 2: meaning behind that. If you google, well, I just barely
- 53:57Speaker 2: noticed the golden fucking duck across the been talking about
- 54:01Speaker 2: the duck.
- 54:02Speaker 1: I just barely saw the duck. If you any shitting
- 54:06Speaker 1: on the top of that thing too, if you google
- 54:08Speaker 1: in it in AI, what does it mean? If GE's
- 54:11Speaker 1: knee gets going left and right? You'll get an explanation,
- 54:15Speaker 1: uh comment here before we go, Gee, and you're you're
- 54:18Speaker 1: up next. It says in this in this world, we're
- 54:21Speaker 1: all being forced to grow up a lot quicker than
- 54:24Speaker 1: we should have to. Uh.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Let's not forget the COVID kids that missed so much school.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Many of them didn't bounce back very well. Uh. Some
- 54:32Speaker 2: of the comments that just that are just coming in.
- 54:35Speaker 2: G go No.
- 54:36Speaker 3: I I just feel that the kids today feel entitled,
- 54:41Speaker 3: yes okay, and that entitlement hurts them. Yes, yes, okay,
- 54:47Speaker 3: because everything is about them. There's no respect. When I
- 54:52Speaker 3: grew up and I grew up in an Italian family,
- 54:55Speaker 3: oh yeah, okay. When I grew up, if I did
- 54:59Speaker 3: not respect my adults and the things that came out
- 55:02Speaker 3: of their mouth, if I talked back to them disrespectfully
- 55:06Speaker 3: or as if they were morons, I was punished something
- 55:11Speaker 3: severe physical both, okay, because corporal punishment in those days
- 55:16Speaker 3: was okay, all right. And that's why the people of today,
- 55:21Speaker 3: the adults of today, are very respectful and understanding and
- 55:26Speaker 3: can understand different views and see different things, because we
- 55:31Speaker 3: were raised in a time when we didn't disrespect and
- 55:36Speaker 3: it wasn't about us, okay, we weren't entitled. Now, the
- 55:41Speaker 3: kids of today, the young kids of today, they talk
- 55:44Speaker 3: back to adults, they don't listen, and they want to
- 55:48Speaker 3: know what's in it for me. They ask for loans
- 55:51Speaker 3: and they don't pay it back because they're like, well,
- 55:54Speaker 3: you need to understand, dad, that I don't have the
- 55:58Speaker 3: money to pay you back. I need to understand we
- 56:01Speaker 3: made an agreement. Or they go out into public and
- 56:05Speaker 3: they're like, well, I'm not gonna do that because my
- 56:07Speaker 3: boss got mad at me because I took an extra
- 56:09Speaker 3: five minutes on my break. He's such an ass, he's
- 56:13Speaker 3: so picky. Yeah, because you're being paid for a job. Well,
- 56:17Speaker 3: I'm not gonna work there because they're mean to me
- 56:20Speaker 3: because they don't expect they expect me to be back
- 56:23Speaker 3: at exactly noon. But I was finishing my sandwich and
- 56:27Speaker 3: I was on the phone with my friend, and my
- 56:29Speaker 3: friend was talking, and I couldn't just tell my friend
- 56:31Speaker 3: I had to go back to work. Yes you can, okay.
- 56:35Speaker 3: So kids of today, they're so entitled, their expectation is
- 56:40Speaker 3: so high on society that society has to treat them
- 56:44Speaker 3: a certain way, and then they've changed their whole thinking, well,
- 56:48Speaker 3: my kids don't play in the sandbox because it's dirty.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Are you fucking kidding me right now? Or I saw
- 56:56Speaker 3: somebody put their newborn on a couch, and I made
- 57:00Speaker 3: the comic be careful. They may roll off. That's a
- 57:03Speaker 3: choice they need to make. Wait, your newborn has to
- 57:08Speaker 3: decide if it rolls off the couch. That's a true story.
- 57:14Speaker 3: You know that because I told you about that. Told me, Okay,
- 57:18Speaker 3: your newborn is on the couch, it could roll up. Well,
- 57:20Speaker 3: if it rolls over, then they'll learn or less.
- 57:22Speaker 1: That is definitely not enormous.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Are you fucking king no? But that's the way they're
- 57:26Speaker 3: raising these kids. I'm going to count to three and
- 57:29Speaker 3: at three. If you don't do this, you'll go into
- 57:31Speaker 3: bed one, two, three, I'm serious. Don't make me count again.
- 57:37Speaker 3: It's like, holy shit. If my parents counted to three
- 57:39Speaker 3: and they got to three, I was fucked JD.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Yes, have you met my son?
- 57:45Speaker 3: Yes, this isn't about yourself. Listen. The way I raised
- 57:49Speaker 3: my kids and the way you raise your kids was
- 57:51Speaker 3: because of the values we learned. As these younger kids
- 57:54Speaker 3: get older, they keep my son to their kids. Yeah,
- 57:59Speaker 3: but they keep teaching these kids entitlement, and then the
- 58:02Speaker 3: young kids grow up feeling entitled, so they keep teaching
- 58:05Speaker 3: more entitlement. And it's a cycle that's going the opposite way.
- 58:10Speaker 3: The way we were raised that you learn to respect
- 58:13Speaker 3: your elders. You work for everything that you have. If
- 58:17Speaker 3: you can't afford it, get a second job to work
- 58:20Speaker 3: for it. I have somebody that told me the other day,
- 58:24Speaker 3: I'm working my ass off. I'm in an eight hour
- 58:27Speaker 3: job by bubba, and now the court wants me to
- 58:29Speaker 3: pay this much and child support and I can't afford it.
- 58:32Speaker 3: And the judge told me, then get a second job.
- 58:35Speaker 3: I was like, yes, then get a second job. But
- 58:38Speaker 3: I already worked forty hours. Dude, you brought a child
- 58:43Speaker 3: into this world and then you walked away from the child.
- 58:46Speaker 3: Fucking pay for it, okay. And they're like, well, that's
- 58:50Speaker 3: unfair to me because then I have no time to myself.
- 58:54Speaker 3: You're right, you don't what You sound just like my dad, Okay.
- 58:58Speaker 3: And this is what I'm playing about. Do I see
- 59:01Speaker 3: potential in kids? Absolutely? I see kids all the time.
- 59:04Speaker 3: There's a kid that I knew when he was growing
- 59:07Speaker 3: up with my son, he was a major fuck up,
- 59:10Speaker 3: and now he's like the most conscientious parent and the
- 59:14Speaker 3: hardest worker that has three different jobs to raise his kids,
- 59:18Speaker 3: and his help is wife and that. And you say
- 59:21Speaker 3: you know what gould be you. You're not one of
- 59:23Speaker 3: those entitled kids because you learned, you grew up.
- 59:27Speaker 2: I know both of your kids, and they are some
- 59:30Speaker 2: of the most outstanding, well grounded.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Do you feel like my son feels like he's entitled.
- 59:36Speaker 2: No, but I don't think that. I think you did
- 59:39Speaker 2: a great job raising your kids. But I'll get to
- 59:41Speaker 2: tell you, man, absolutely not.
- 59:42Speaker 5: Don't.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Well, Rex, I think that that's not the norm, the
- 59:48Speaker 2: general norm. Correct, your kids are dialed in? Your son?
- 59:52Speaker 2: How old is how? Wait? How old is Hunter?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Twenty three?
- 59:57Speaker 2: All right? Hunter is light years super respectful. Wait he yes,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: light years, light years more mature at twenty three years
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: old than I was at twenty three, right, responsible, financially responsible,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: self disciplined, motivated, self reliant, independent. I mean at twenty three,
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: he's already, fair to say, maybe even more successful than
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: you were at twenty three, all right, which is what
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: we wished for, what we wish for for our kids.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I wish there were more kids in the world, I said, kids,
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: so twenty three that I could. Have you ever met
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: his son? No, the guy's he's polished, he's polite.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: He just sold his first half a million dollar house.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean he's very successful.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: From scratch to finish. Yeah, but.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: He's not the norm. He's not the guy working at
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: the Starbucks that we just saw.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Because my son, Massimo, Okay, he's like hunter. My son
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: is twenty eight years old. He was Special Forces Okay,
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: in the military. He grew up fast because he joined
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: when he was eighteen. They taught him. He grew up fast.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Now he's retired at twenty eight okay, still working full time.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Needed to borrow money from us. I loaned him some money,
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: paid it right the fuck back. I never had to
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: ask for it. Okay, is respectful out there, yes, ma'am, Yes, sir,
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: the people. Okay, has a son who he's teaching that.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: The kid is eleven years old, teaching him how to
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: be respectful. That every time I see my grandson, he
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: is like the epitome of a perfect child. Okay, because
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: that's the way he was raised. So he's raising his
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: son that way. But a lot of kids today don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: take those values and teach it to their kids. That's
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: what we're saying. Okay, that's what I'm saying. The younger
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: generation that's growing up. Your son is different. My son
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: is different. Okay, they took the lessons and they utilize
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: it to their advantage. But there are a lot of
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: kids out there that don't have that kind of training,
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: that kind of parenting. Okay, And now they're out there
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: bringing kids into the world and they're treating their kids
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: the way they.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Act, and your daughter tailor is the same way, same tame.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: So, but we're talking about our kids based on how
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: you were raised and I was raising how we want
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: to raise our kids, right, Okay, But that's not the
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: norm of the people out there raising their kids today. Sure, okay,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: they let their kids walk around and just diapers with
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: no shirt, no pants, to the store with no shoes,
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: dirty feet underknees, Okay, their boobs are hanging out of
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: their their their tank tops and they've got kids with them.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: They're cursing up a storm, smoking pot with the kids
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: sitting right there in the stroller, talking about the kid's
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: father who didn't pay child supports to the man's a
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: dirt bag. And the kids are growing up watching this
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: and they're gonna be the same way. But okay, and
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: they shouldn't have had kids. There should be a license
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: for that.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: A lot okay. So first, of all, you guys assume
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: this is a new issue. So I grew up never
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: know you guys specifically said the new generation of kids
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: coming up through are entitled YadA yaudia, and then you okay,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: because I'm telling you right now, I used to drive
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: down Main Street and we would see the same thing
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: on We called it welfare wall here on Main Street
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: until the police started telling them they couldn't sit on
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: that wall anymore. So this has been an issue all
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: the way coming up through it. But anyway, what as
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: how many times I've ever hit my kids or disciplined
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: my kids.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: I've never touched my kids.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Do you know how many times I was hit? Zero?
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: Hey?
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: You know what?
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: The you know what?
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: The hardest I'll tell you right now, fifty four years old,
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: and I'll tell you the hardest thing that I've ever
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: experienced in my childhood was when my father looked. It
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: was the look Yep.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: If I tell my son or daughter I'm disappointed in them,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: my son will literally, to this day, my son will
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: sit in the middle of the living room floor.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: A cry, It'll meet it.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Thanks. That was the respect for your parents, my father.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: What oh my did What was different about my kids
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: upbringing and these other kids you're talking about, What is
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the difference. I didn't beat my kids.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: I remember when my dad looked at me and said,
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: I am so disappointed with you. Oh my god, that
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: killed me.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: Yeah, killed me.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: What is the differ? So what I I've found out
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: dealing with kids on a constant I deal with them
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: all the time, teachers deal with them that I see
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: a different side of children what I see and most
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: of them kids that you're talking about, where they feel entitled,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: They don't you know, they act a certain way. Those
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: kids act a certain way. Me and my wife just
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: talked about this last night, like learned behavior. Like the
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: only time I ever got attention was if I was
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: fucking up or if I was hurt. Okay, So I
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: see these kids like my kids grew up. My kids
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: are part of that entitled generation. We heard this coming
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: up through I sent my kids to a private Christian school.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: So I want a deep dive into parenting and why
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: why I raised my kids during this entitlement phase, Why
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: they're different, Why are they supposedly not the norm? What
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: is the difference that's going on? And for my own
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: personal experience, I feel a lot of that comes from
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: number one single parent families. I think a lot of
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: that comes because it's really hard. And nothing against any
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: type of single parent I do not. I am not
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: hating on anybody in any way, shape or form, but
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: it's a really hard dynamic to be the good person
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: and the bad person at the same.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Time at the same time.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Absolutely so, kids need.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Kids need parents, They need both their parents with that
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: whole family dynamic. Without that family dynamic, people change. Listen,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: changed families. We really have. We've we've separated families, We've
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: we've made it really easy for divorce. We've made it
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: easy to throw our grandparents in nursing homes.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Well, we've also made it very easy for grandparents to
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: become the parents. Yeah, hey, I can't handle this. Off
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: off to my parents. Yep, they're going to be the
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: new welcome.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I welcome that. I want to be. I welcome that.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I I think people are blessed that have that. If
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: my kids, if my daughter came to me today and said, Dad,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I have gotten hooked on fetanohl and I can't take
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: care of my kid, guess what I'm taking that kid.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna it doesn't matter what if my daughter came
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: to me and said, I am overwhelmed. I can't take
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: this kid. I am one hundred percent stepping in.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: As I need a break.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I am taking that kid and I am going to
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: help my daughter. We told him this during high school.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Don't ever come to you. Do not ever go and
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: fucking just go and get an abortion without telling us.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Come and talk to us. And if we can save
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: that child, me and your mother will raise that child.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: So you could go to school. You can have all
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: of it, you can do all of that stuff. We
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: have a different I just have a different thinking. And
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: I may be an extreme just because of my own
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: life experience. I may have gone to the extreme to
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: the other side. So but it's just it's is it different?
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: What did I do different? I never I didn't have
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: to beat my child into submission. I didn't.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: I also want to say this, there there's plenty of
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: us out there who you know, we talk about the cycle,
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: break in the cycle. There's plenty of.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Tell your kids you love them outright, give them a
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: fucking hug, do stop being stop being that dickhead father.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I've never gotten a hug from my father. I've never
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: had my I think my father's probably told me you
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: loved me, probably once or twice. It is fucking life.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's bad, I tell Lily all constantly. Yeah, and
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: now at ten years old, I get the eye roll
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: when I tell her that, which I don't care you.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I mean you listen to me talk to my kids
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: on the phone. What is the last thing I always
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: say to my kids?
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Heard it?
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Absolutely love you?
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: You never know, but you know, listen, there's plenty of
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: parents out there who are outstanding parents because.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Or partly because of shitty parents.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: They had shitty parents, they had a shitty upbringing that
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: was filled with all kinds of shit psychological, mental, physical,
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: whatever it is, and they had the awakening, if you will,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: for lack of a better term of saying, my God,
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: that is the last person that I'm going to be.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I am going to be the opposite of who my
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: mother was. I'm going to be the opposite of who
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: my father was. And I'm going to devote the rest
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: of my life and devote my my parenthood to my
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: child to give them the extreme opposite of what I
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: had or how I was raised. They're going to be loved,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: They're going to be told they're loved, all the time.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: They're going to be disciplined the right wing.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: That's what makes it so hard for me when it
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: comes to kids, because when other people see a shitty
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: little kid, I see I see an abused kid.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I know you too. And listen, and the
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: three of us sitting in this room right now have
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: have had very different lives that we've all led. I
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: mean very different. I had the fucking Brady Bunch, Mom, dad, brother,
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: that's it, four of us. Six o'clock every night. Mom
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: would reach up, pull the phone cord out of the wall,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: and we would sit down at the dinner table and eat.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Take There were no devices, there were no cell phones,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: there were no ping ping ping notifications, there was no interruptions.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: A bomb could have gone off and no one would
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: have known it. My mother used to say, that's why
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: Brenda's parents were That's just what my mother used to say, Ray,
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: shut the TV off, It's time for dinner. Yep, silence,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: sit down, yep, Look you square, and father would look
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: you square in the eye. How was your day? What
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: was good about it? What you learn? What was bad
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: about it?
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I never had that growing up, never had that until
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I met Brenda.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: There you go, yep, wow, you know another? Is there
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: anything else that burns your ass?
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: You want to open up a care what best now?
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: After that one?
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Because because one of the one of the things I
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: wanted to say this this morning, Apparently there's this new
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: trend when gen zers answer the phone. This is this
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: is the new thing. Now are you guys? Are you
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: ready for this? Are you're sitting down down for this
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: is the new thing? When gen zers answer the phone.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: The new thing is they do fad whatever is. They
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: don't say anything. They wait for you to say hello. First.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I thought that was my bluetooth trying to fucking hook
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: up and nobody was there. No, that's like a thing.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: That thing brains a lot. Because there's time to call
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: and somebody picks up. I'm like, now, hello, Hi.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: I'm like, they don't meet you in the middle. They
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: just do whatever they're gonna do. I didn't know that
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: was a thing.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: They didn't connect on the thought I'd be like hello, hello,
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: and they'd be like, I'm like here.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: I was like, oh, for you to say hello first.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: You can hear them breathing.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Oh, next time, I'm not going to say a fucking thing. No,
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: I let it be quiet.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I've started doing that.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: I hang up.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I don't say nothing, and if they don't say nothing,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I just hang up.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Apparently, apparently, apparently this is what this is? Apparently what what?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: What?
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Why is? Because they can't see you, so they don't
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: know that they're connected. I love face right.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Now, I'm not even grasping the logic.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: They can't see you, so why would they attempt to
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: communicate if they can't see you?
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: Tarded word.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I fel like I'm in the twilight zone right now.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: He's the uber conservative and I'm the fucking liberal. Are
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: we what twilight zoner? We living?
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: He just he just called me conservative.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: He called you, dude. I'm I'm I'm You don't know me.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, he has a four wheel
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: drive truck lifted up with Trump flags and he's gonna
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: drive it up and oh.
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: No, oh my god, you want to start talking about Trump.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: There's a rabbit hole I'll go down. That'll be a
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: three hour show.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Well, listen, you guys are talking about the little and
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: here I am the biggest tattooed guy. You guys are
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: trying and I'm over here like with liberal views than
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: you guys are just more of a really conservative views.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: I just think it's fun conservative. We're calling it like
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: we see it. You're calling it like you'd like to see.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Absolutely no, no, but you understand if somebody walk by,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: they would judge, They would judge us if we didn't say.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: After you both listen, have you both not sat here
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: in the studio within the last week and lectured me
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: about judgment, about judgment perspectually. He was first on Thursday
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: handed my ass to me and then you.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: I didn't hand your ass to you.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: You did in a very beautiful way about about don't
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: worry about being judged by by others of what you
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: do on your.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: Well because anybody who judges is basically insecure. Yeah, okay,
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: they got to judge you to make them feel better,
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: and they want to be heard. They want everybody to
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: hear them talk about somebody else.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: I need to tell both of you assholes this at
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: the same time, because you're both here. Seriously, I have
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: gone back and listened to last Thursdays episode with you
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: twice and last Friday's episode with you twice. Quietly, ear Bud,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: you guys both had a huge impact on me last week.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Good I like that.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: That's all I try to do these days.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I needed I needed to hear what you both said,
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: and you both said things to me that have resonated
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: with me greatly. I may need to hear it again,
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: but you guys are both helping me thicken the skin,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: and I appreciate that, and I love both of you assholes.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: You're so different.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: It's a give a fuck about what strangers think they're strangers.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: I only care about what my friends in my circle
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: have to.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: And I have since found out that this Karen White
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: I think you told me is a fake account. Didn't
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: you tell me that?
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Oh no, I have no clue.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Someone did you. Someone told me that they looked into it,
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: and this one, this Karen White, doesn't even exist.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: Coward, it's a coward. Well that's it. People hide behind
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: media and everything else to be able to get away
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: with what they want to say. That's another reason. I'm
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: the type of person that if I have something to
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: say to you, I'm just gonna say it. And if
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: I know, and if I know it's going to offend,
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: I tell them listen. I'm going to tell you what
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: I think. And you may not like it, but I'm
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: not gonna apologize because you asked me.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I will always stand on what I said.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Okay, And if somebody asks me what I think, I'm
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: entitled to give you my answer. And if they don't
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: like it my answers, then don't ask because you know
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: with me, there are people out there you say something,
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no I agree, and oh yeah no, that
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: is nice, or what do you think of that? Oh
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: I like that color because they know you like it.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: If I don't like the color and I'm your friend,
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: I'm gonna say not really liking that color. Okay, you
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: could do better. There's other colors that you know. I'm
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: honest about it, and I try to be polite about
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: my honesty, but sometimes I just gotta rip it out
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: there because you're being an asshole. And I want to
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: tell you that.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I've tested loyalty on friends to see if friend people
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: if they were still my friends. Absolutely, And it's just
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: like I told one of my friends a blatant lie
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: that he knew was a lie, just to see if
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: you would call me on it. But in order to
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: call me on it, it would he would have had
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: to admit his own bullshit, right, And hey, but we're
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: we're close friends. We could do this right. It didn't happen.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Nope, nope.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: So I am wow.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: And sometimes you have to weed them through like that.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: I just go because you don't know. Sometimes you don't
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: know if this person's really your friend or if they're
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: playing two sides to the middle.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it was easy to figure it out, but I
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: had known longer get angry and be like you you're
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: not my friend, Brah and spin on that. It's just
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: I realize who people are now, and that's so that's
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: what it is. I was like, Okay, you're not really
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: that loyal friend. You're just you're a transaction. You're a
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: transactional friend. I'm around when you need me, you need
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: something from me, I'm that I'm that transactional friend. I'm
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: your best friend. Again, when you don't need me, I
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: don't hear from him. I don't you know, I don't
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: hear anything. I don't. I'm always going to reach out.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: It's it's transactional. So and so I just have to
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: not get angry about it. It hurt me because I
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: was like, wow, I'm that much. I'm a I'm a
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: loyal friend to you. But it doesn't go back the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: same way. So that was hard for me to suck
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: that up and be like, Okay, stop stop Rex, realize
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: they are not Just realize the relationship that you have.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: You don't have to be angry. I just have to
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: realize who they are and what the relationship really. It's
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: not as deep on it and their side.
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: Is well, that's it. As long as you understand and
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: them right, you can't get angry.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: I've been tested on this with each of you guys separately.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: I can't believe that guy said that on the air.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: I can't believe you had that on your podcast.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Really is and then he calls you need to calm down.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'm talking about G.
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: I'm talking about Gee. But I've also heard the same
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: thing about you, and I have been had private messages
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: from people I can't believe that you have Rex Thompson
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: on your show, and I'm like, dude, Rex is my friend.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: I don't agree with what Rex says or G says
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: all the time, but he's an unconditional friend. Imagine fucking
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: that really seriously imagine.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: And then you get judged your friend judgment And my
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: answer is, you know what, you don't have to be
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: their friend. And if you don't like my friends and
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: you want to judge me on that thing, you don't
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: have to be my friend.
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: I have.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Most of the people that run that say that stuff
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: have never met me. They don't know me. They just
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: know from the stories of when I was a piece
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: of shit.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I deserve it, bro, I deserve everything. I get. Anything,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: the negative shit that comes my way, you own it.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: That and you own it, yeah, okay. I mean when
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: you make a mistake of when you do things when
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: you're young and you're foolish and this and that, and
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: then you've grown up, you got to still own what
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: you did.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: I have. I have realized more in the last five
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: to ten years who in my life who really is
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: and always was a friend.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: As you get older, man, you see it shit, yep.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: But at the time it's like you you think, oh,
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: that's that's a friend of mine, and you realize they
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: never were your fucking friends.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: Right, Oh my god, yep. Yeah, that's oh my god.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: It is a tough and I've swallowed more in the
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: last couple of years, more in the last two to
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: three years than I ever have. Yeah, I just it's unbelievable.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: But it's also liberating. Yeah, I would rather know. I
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: would rather I'm trying to keep my eyes open as
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: wide as I can. Yes, And it's not easy, man,
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: because I love people and I love I love to
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: form relationships and I like to make new friends, right.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: You know. I haven't talked to one of my best friends.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: One of my best friends was Scott Zetian and I
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: love him or hate him, don't care. He was one
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: of my best friends. We grew up together. I was
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: right here in the middle of road when he got
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: hit by a car broke his neck. I haven't talked
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: to Scotti in ten years, and I called him out
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: of the blue, and it was like, never missed a step.
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, isn't that amazing? This guy? That's this
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: guy right here. We've gone good friends, you can go.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely gone two three years and never saying a word,
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: never even thinking about each other because we've moved on
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: with whatever. And then I run into him in the
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: street and it's like, hey, what are you up to hang?
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: Are going to get together?
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: And the first words out of his mouth Jesus, you
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: look like shit. Have you gained weight?
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: That's right?
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my friend.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's my job as your friend to tell
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: you that you're fat and you look.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: Horrible and you don't belong in a motocross.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Track, no, especially in the fast lane. I just got
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: a you don't even belong on a bike. You belong
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: on a freaking walker.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: I just a peloton, Okay, I just got a note here.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: Uh it says on the flip side JD. One reason
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: that gen zers may not say anything is because they're
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: the first generation to grow up without landlines. Think about that,
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: and may not have picked up on what's customary. Even
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: with cell phones, a lot of communication is through text messages,
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: not actual not actual calls. And finally, some say that
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: it might have to do with so many calls being
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: spam and automated or AI bots on the other end.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: That's so there's another perspective. I would have never even thought.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: About it about that perspective either, but that's true.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Our communications has change so much throughout the years.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: I'm not getting a fucking stinky I'm not saying I'm
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: not saying a word say it. I don't want to
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: say it.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: But but there's like there's like there's like protocol and stuff, dude,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: there's like protocol and ship when it comes the texting,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: there's certain etiquette that I have no clue about right now.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: And and gen Z kids are like, Boomer, what are
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: you doing when you send that? Like what do you mean?
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: I don't know? So I you know, I don't know
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: the etiquette of today.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: Lily sent me a text.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I guess I don't have the RIZ.
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: What the hell's ariz?
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Lily will tell you. Call Lily tonight.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have the RIZ. You clearly coriz. Oh
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: my god, you got the riz gi.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: You got the riz gi.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Wow, wow Riz. I love the fact that everybody shortens
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: so many words.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: English. Hey.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Lily sent me a text the other day in the
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: living room, sitting next to me on the couch, and
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: I was like wow, oh hell no, oh hell no.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: I looked right up at her and I was like,
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: are you serious. Don't ever do that to me? Friend, Brandon,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: you got something to say, come over here and say
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: it to me. Ye, look or just look me and hey, dad,
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: look me in the eye.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Me and my wife fight through text.
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: Oh that's crazy, No, it's uh.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I Sometimes it's easier to get things out yea through text.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: For Carolyn and I have done that.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: Yep, we will. We will talk because it's.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: She and I. We have to talk that we have
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: ten times.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: And we don't want to scream at each other. Sometimes
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: it's just easier to be in the other room.
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: And wow, I see I I come from a whole
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: different thought process and that. As a matter of fact,
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: how many times have you text Jed and he calls
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: you right back? Yeah, because he doesn't believe in text. Yes,
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: and Jed's a lot younger than I am, but he
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: does not believe in text. His attitude is if you're
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: going to send me a text this freaking long that
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: I got to read, yeah, and then you want me
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: to send I'm just going to pick up the phone
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: and say what I gotta say.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: I love that? Yeah, I love that.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I love it When you send you a text, you
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: call him back and they don't answer.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, or they say call me and you
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: call and you get their voicemail.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Here's another thing.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: I don't even leave a messenger. I just hang up.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: I'm like, fuck, who leaves voicemail anymore? If I if
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: I call spam, if I call either one of you
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: and I get your voicemail, I hang up, and then
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: I send you a text. Only voicemail anymore. Yeah, I
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: No, what we do now is we do messenger and
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: we talk to each other. We did the voice voice.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: You guys should change your Thursdays. Just call it angry
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: old men.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: That's a great idea.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Does the angry old men air it out?
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: Most of the time we joke around, But last week
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: I got very You.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Guys are definitely you can be angry old men on
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Simpson character.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: God damn kid, you see them messy made when you
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: walk by, get on, get off the grass. We'd beat
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: We'd beat those skateboards. We'd beat those two old muppets
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: up on the that. But most of the time we laugh.
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: Last week I got serious because I had had enough.
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: And people always think of me as just a clown
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: that jokes around. But there's a deeper side to me,
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: okay that people don't see because I don't I don't
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: want to be that person. Yes, okay, but there are
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: a lot of things out there that burn our butts.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: And we keep it quiet and then we come on
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: here and we tell everybody, and then people listening, I
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: see the comments. They're like, yes, I've been there, I've
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: done that. Okay, but we say it out loud because
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: people are afraid to say things out loud anymore.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: Don't be afraid to tell your kids to love them.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Don't be afraid to give your son a hug.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's the biggest sing.
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: We always give our daughters hugs. We don't give our
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: sons hugs. You give your son a hug.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: Time I see my son twenty eight years old, I
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: see him in the minute I see him. First thing
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: I do is hug and give him a kiss asolutely
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: my oldest kid thirty eight years old. Still kiss them hello,
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: Still kiss him goodbye, Still hug them hello, hug them goodbye.
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: And I always say on the phone, love you, talk
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: to you soon, even in texts, always end with love
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: you yeah okay. And it's not for any other reason
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: but because I love you. Yeah right, okay. How many
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: times do you and I talked? J D? And at
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: the end you always say love you every time? Okay?
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: With wretch too, Yeah, well, Rex is a little hard
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: to love sometimes. I just saw the picture of you
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: and I j D.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just pulling it out.
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: AD was just putting the picture up of you and I.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: I'm just trying to get it here. I'll get it. Man.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: You should have seen how many kids were at that
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: fucking class last night after the Heritage Festival. Son of
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: a bitch. Did you watch the live last night?
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: No.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: I went down to the gym and I called Lucas.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: I was like, do you want me to go live
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: on your platform? I was like, I just walked in
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: here and there's got to be fifty fucking kids in here.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: There's so many kids. We had three instructors trying to
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: help the free kids jiu jitsu games yesterday for Sophia.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: There was so many kids in there. He was so
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: good to see.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: I mean, that's great. It won't it won't pull.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Up, but it was so he came down and he
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: went live to I don't think enough people realize that
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: it's open to the public and it's free. You can
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: when is this every Monday and Wednesday at four fifteen
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: to five o'clock and then the then right after that
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: we started the beginner's self defense class and even that
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: class was absolutely packed. Seth Keeley had I think ten
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: little kids, like five six year old kids in gheeze,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: they are over there doing arm bars. I had the
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: twelve year old kids. I had a pile of them
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: and ip On throws straight to an arm bar, and
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: then will White and Benny had all the adults. It
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: was just so it was such a nice flow and having.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: That sounds to energize.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: And this was all last night. Oh yeah, what's going
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: on with September thirteenth?
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: So September thirteenth is the battle in Barry seventeen. John
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: pen is not gonna headline it. He got a bad
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: cut and he's got stitches, so he's gonna be there
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: to commentate. He's also cornering the co main event, Sergey
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: Ushkevich in the Small Glove moy Tie. But I'm thinking,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: you know what I'm thinking about doing. I'm thinking about
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: running a week, maybe two weeks of a Barry City
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: employee appreciation and selling general admission tickets for twenty five
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: bucks for all Berry City employees and their family.
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: That's a no brainer, man.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, just wait, Well, I might announce it tomorrow. I
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: gotta talk to my daughter. I can't make those kind
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: of decisions without her. So as I was driving through,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: I saw a bunch of workers out there. I was like,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I bet they'd appreciate coming to a fight.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Gee, did we ever tell you about Glenn Brummer When
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: you know Glenn doesn't get out much. Glenn doesn't get
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: out at all, but he got out to a He
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: went out to a battle in Perry and was like.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Oh, I got him a seat at a VIP table
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: with Richard Manning.
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: I asked for a seat for there, but you never
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: got me one.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Nobody ever told me.
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: Oh bullshit, I text you. You want me to pull
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: the text up a long time ago. Yeah, for the
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: last fight, you would have.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: To pull the text up because I didn't receive the
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: text I gave you. I would let you in. Yeah, okay, Wow,
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: fucking boomers getting out of hand.
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: Over here, grumpy old man. Remember someone get his nurse.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: You lived back to his room. He's getting out of
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: hands medication.
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: Let me see under the top.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: I would not want to be the Lana dealing with you.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: Oh my god, can you imagine?
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: No, No, yet, they're gonna be like, no, fuck you,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: old man. You're gonna sit there. I'm going back over
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: to Rex's room. He's cool.
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: You know what's funny is like when I've been in
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: the hospital and when I go to my dad, they
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: all tell me that I am just the funniest, most
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: pleasant person they've ever dealt with. So I don't know
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: what you're talking.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: Yeah right.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: I had a nurse carry on a conversation with my
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: penis last week, so I.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Have a real how'd that go?
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: It was quite the conversation.
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: What'd your penis have to say?
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Not much?
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: It was eye opening.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: That was why she lifted the blanket up and said
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: where is it? She goes, well, hello, and I was like,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: what I thought?
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: She was talking to me?
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Nowhere? Head was the cover? She was not talking to me,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: just me and her in the room and she's not
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: talking to me. Wow. Yeah, that was pretty funny. Kind
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: of caught me off guard, but I went with it.
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: Thank you. I think both.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I just stopped walking by.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you were just walking by and look what happened.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Holy dude, if there's a boot on my truck when
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: I go out there, I'm gonna show you how to
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: cut that motherfucker off and we'll leave it right on
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: the side of.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: The road for Berry City.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: We're not online. We're not still on, are we No,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: We're off we're off.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: Script tank.
