- 0:34And we'll get underway in a moment with our episode Who Was
- 0:38This Jesus on the Rancher Radio podcast.
- 0:58Well, it's the reason for the season.
- 1:01That's right. So I want to spend some time
- 1:03talking about what the Urantia book says and tells us about the
- 1:07Son of God and the Son of Man known as of course, Jesus of
- 1:11Nazareth. And in perhaps shed a little bit
- 1:14of light on the difference between what the Christian
- 1:18portrayal of Christ is in the Urantia book portrayal.
- 1:22They're not completely on alike at all, as you will see, and in
- 1:27fact, one actually enhances the appreciation for the other.
- 1:32Someone who emails me from time to time here on the Rancho Radio
- 1:36podcast is he sent me an e-mail. He says I don't want to bother
- 1:41you, but just for fun. He wanted to find out how how
- 1:45much Jesus walked and he found this little nugget, which I
- 1:52think is interesting. I never really think about well,
- 1:54how much did Jesus actually walk?
- 1:57Because that's what he did for most of his adult life is, you
- 2:01know, he would walk literally from country to country.
- 2:05And he, he used Chat GPC to determine from his particular
- 2:08paper think it's 134 when he left Mount Hermon and then
- 2:13headed to Jerusalem and then returned to Galilee.
- 2:19And this took place between September 15th, 25AD and January
- 2:2326th AD according to the Urantia book.
- 2:27So they with the use of ChatGPT, he was able to determine that
- 2:32Jesus walked 14 miles on one day, 26 miles on another day, 43
- 2:40miles on the third day, 38 miles on the 4th day, A1 mile on the
- 2:485th day, another mile on the 6th day.
- 2:52So he must have been in Jerusalem.
- 2:54Then he proceeded to walk back to Galilee, 50 miles on day 7
- 3:00and 31 miles. So he walked approximately 209
- 3:04miles in one week, a little more than a week.
- 3:08And that's just one snapshot. Imagine how much he walked when
- 3:12he made his trip to Rome and, and how much time he spent on
- 3:16the boat too, for months with Ganid and Ganad during that
- 3:23whole narrative. And anyway, it's just
- 3:25interesting and thank you so much.
- 3:27I, I love hearing from the people who listen to the
- 3:29podcast. It's really wonderful to have
- 3:32you there. And gosh, I want to do a shout
- 3:37out to my friends over at Center for Unity.
- 3:39They've got some really great stuff going on, all kinds of
- 3:43really good websites that that allow more of a user
- 3:48interaction. If you could ask questions about
- 3:50the Urantia book, for example, I wanted to know where the root
- 3:55word of Marancha and, and it gave me the answers.
- 3:59It's just there's so many resources that they offer with
- 4:01all the different apps that they have.
- 4:03So the Center for unity.org, the Center for unity.org Anyway, so
- 4:09let's talk about how the Urantia Book portrays Christ because one
- 4:15of the things that amazes me is why more Christians aren't
- 4:22attracted to the Christianity that is offered in the Urantia
- 4:28book. And people say, well, it's not a
- 4:31Christian book. Well, to the average onlooker,
- 4:33the Urantia Book looks like a Christian book.
- 4:37A third of it is dedicated to the life and teachings of
- 4:40Christ. Over 700 pages, right?
- 4:42So you would think that if you read the first 3 and you didn't
- 4:47read the fourth book, you wouldn't think it was a
- 4:51Christian document. You would think it was some kind
- 4:53of new age religion, right? That's how most people portray
- 4:56it. That's how much people in their
- 4:58first impression even. And I, and I say this as a mild
- 5:02criticism, even a lot of the artwork that my Urantia book
- 5:07readers create. And I'm not talking about the
- 5:09work that Gary Tong does, because that's on a level that's
- 5:12way up here. He, he has done some incredible
- 5:16artwork for the Urantia movement.
- 5:20But I'm talking about the way that people design portfolios,
- 5:25the way they use color schemes on, on their websites, Very
- 5:29flowery. And, and even some of the, some
- 5:33of the stuff that they're using to create AI artwork.
- 5:37It, it has that ring of new age Ness to it, which, you know, it
- 5:40could be a mild criticism because I think people today are
- 5:45so pragmatic about what where they put their alliances and
- 5:51they are very, they see religion as being toxic.
- 5:56So toxic in fact, that 40% of America has given up on
- 6:00religion. And as the Christianity claims,
- 6:03we're all endowed by the spirit of our creator, that father
- 6:07fragment that lives within us, the spirit light that lighteth
- 6:11every man, as it says right? Then why wouldn't they feel the
- 6:16urge or the need to believe in something higher than
- 6:20themselves? And the answer to that is more
- 6:25simple than you probably imagine.
- 6:27It's because they've been raised to believe it and they've been
- 6:29brainwashed to believe that religion is anti science.
- 6:35And they also, if you read, I think it's in, I want to say
- 6:41paper too, there's a quote that says the farther you are away
- 6:45from Havona, the less perfect the universe is.
- 6:51Havona is, of course, the perfect universe, the first
- 6:55universe. So Havona is a perfect
- 6:58representation of a universe that is divine in all manners,
- 7:03all matter, always. The farther away you move away
- 7:07from that, the less perfect the universe is, because the rest of
- 7:11the universe is in an evolutionary progression.
- 7:15It's evolving towards perfection.
- 7:18What I'm saying is for us, we live on a planet that is on the
- 7:22outskirts or an outpost so far out that we're almost at the
- 7:27edge. And if Havona is the center of
- 7:31all things and is a the expression of divine perfection,
- 7:35and it's that imperfection where we fail to see divinity.
- 7:39The farther you are away from God, the more imperfection you
- 7:42see in in the universe, particularly in the way that
- 7:46people behave. I want to share with you what
- 7:54it's like living in North Korea right now.
- 7:57I started this podcast because of the atrocities that were
- 8:02going on in China back in 20/16/2017.
- 8:05That's what actually inspired me because it had, it had dawned on
- 8:09me that a billion people, despite 100 years of communism,
- 8:15are still willing to die for their beliefs.
- 8:18That that just was such a profound thing.
- 8:22And I thought you cannot kill the human spirit.
- 8:25And the Urantia book says there is no chance of people becoming
- 8:30less religious. But this, this illustrates just
- 8:33how how powerful religion is. And this is an article which is
- 8:38entitled North Korea on Religion, Prison Work Camp or
- 8:43Execution of Believers. The North Korean regime has
- 8:48recently boasted that had won the war against religion, even
- 8:52as a new human rights report shows.
- 8:55In questioning 15,000 people who have managed to escape from
- 8:58North Korea, 99.6% said that there is no such thing as free
- 9:04religious practice. It's bad, it's so bad in that
- 9:08country. Christians have long been
- 9:11targeted because Kim and there his regime views religion as a
- 9:15direct threat to its power and as evidence of foreign
- 9:18influence. Anyone caught praying,
- 9:20possessing a Bible, or meeting for worship is labeled part of a
- 9:24hostile class and risks imprisonment, torture or
- 9:28execution. Protestants and Catholics are
- 9:32sent straight to political prison camps without RE
- 9:35education, and entire families can be punished for three
- 9:39generations under the regime's total control zone.
- 9:44Returnees who encounter Christianity abroad or watch
- 9:47closely, and those who engage in religious activity after
- 9:50returning home are immediately arrested.
- 9:55Despite the severe danger, small pockets of fate persists.
- 9:59Some N Koreans still pray alone or in tiny secret groups,
- 10:04maintaining belief quietly and in isolation because open
- 10:08worship is impossible, according to the report North Korea youth
- 10:14now limiter 3. Competing pressures, state
- 10:16indoctrination, forbidden foreign culture in a quiet
- 10:20search for meaning through superstition or hidden faith.
- 10:25I I I mentioned to you that in the West the belief in God is
- 10:30waning. It's down by 3040% in America
- 10:33and probably 6070% in England and maybe somewhere else,
- 10:38although I think Germany is probably more religious than the
- 10:41state would have you believe. They've held on to their faith
- 10:43as people have in Hungary and Poland, sort of Eastern Eastern
- 10:48European countries seem to have more faith of those who had
- 10:51experienced communism. And these people are paying a
- 10:55real heavy price. And it's a real tragedy and it's
- 10:58a real travesty. And that's why there are so many
- 11:00people turning to agnosticism. And I I suspected within a few
- 11:06years the Bible will be considered a highly
- 11:11controversial book because our secular society, it's in our
- 11:16education, they're downplaying the importance of faith.
- 11:20Core to the Christian teaching is this interesting fellow named
- 11:24Jesus. And Jesus is portrayed as the
- 11:28Son of man and the Son of God in, in Scripture.
- 11:33He is the Redeemer. He paid the price for man's sin.
- 11:37It's going all the way back to Adam and Eve.
- 11:40And of course, these the are the abbreviated stories as we're
- 11:44taught in Bible school on Sunday.
- 11:49And in the Urantia book, of course, these stories are
- 11:51expanded much farther beyond so that you have a sort of a
- 11:55contextual approach to what's what actually did happen.
- 11:59For. For example, we know that Adam
- 12:01and Eve did default, and this led to a disruption in the
- 12:05Adamic mission, which is to uplift humanity both spiritually
- 12:09and physically over a period of time.
- 12:12We would be a lot farther along. Adam and Eve may still be here,
- 12:16and we would be learning from this high culture that would
- 12:20have existed somewhere in the Middle East.
- 12:23All that went away and for 35,000 years there was kind of a
- 12:28darkness as the progeny of Adam and Eve went out into the world.
- 12:36We saw this weekend, I was watching this in Glenn Beck of
- 12:39all people had an interview talking about the Book of Enoch.
- 12:43And in the Book of Enoch, which is where Michael or Christ got
- 12:47the term Son of Man, Enoch talks a lot about the Nephilim, the
- 12:52watchers. And of course, we know from the
- 12:54Urantia book that those were the Nodites.
- 12:57That was the prince's staff from hundreds of thousands of years
- 13:01ago that went into rebellion. So there's a little bit of truth
- 13:04in that story from Genesis as well.
- 13:06All very interesting and very fascinating.
- 13:08But I want to get to this person, this person that we
- 13:12celebrate his birth on December 25th, that billions of people
- 13:16around the world, like the people in North Korea, like the
- 13:20people who are in places like Nigeria where Christians are
- 13:23being slaughtered because they believe in this man named Jesus
- 13:26who was the Redeemer and who gave them salvation.
- 13:30And they feel compelled through the spirit of truth to pay
- 13:33homage and honor to the Son of man who spoke on behalf of the
- 13:37Father. Now the Urantia book is not so
- 13:42different. Let me read to you from Paper 21
- 13:46on the Paradise Creator sons. This is the Jesus before he
- 13:54incarnated as Joshua bin Joseph. He is a Creator son according to
- 13:59the Rancher book. Now what is a Creator Son?
- 14:03In paper 21 we read that Creator sons are the makers and rulers
- 14:07of the universes of time and space.
- 14:09These universe creators and sovereigns are of dual origin,
- 14:14embodying the characteristic of God the Father and God the Son.
- 14:17But each Creator's Son is different from every other.
- 14:21Each is unique in nature as well as in personality.
- 14:26Each is the only begotten Son of perfect Deity.
- 14:32In the vast working of organizing, evolving and
- 14:34perfecting a local universe, these High Sons always enjoy the
- 14:38sustaining approval of the Father.
- 14:41The relationship of the Creator's Son with their
- 14:44Paradise Father is touching and superlative.
- 14:47No doubt the profound affection of the the Deity parents for
- 14:51their divine prodigy is the wellspring of that beautiful and
- 14:55well nigh divine love which even mortal parents bear their
- 14:59children. These primary Paradise sons are
- 15:03personalized as Michaels. As they go forth from Paradise
- 15:08to found their universes, they are known as Creator Michaels.
- 15:12When settled in supreme authority, they are called
- 15:15Master Michaels. Sometimes we refer to the
- 15:19sovereign of your universe of Nebadon as Christ Michael.
- 15:24Oftentimes you'll hear me refer to that as well, Christ Michael.
- 15:28Always and forever do they reign after the order of Michael, that
- 15:33being the designation of the first son of their order.
- 15:38So there's a slightly larger family in the portrayal of of
- 15:43Jesus and as he was as Michael than what you would get from the
- 15:47New Testament. People in that age would not
- 15:52have been able to conceive of what I just told you.
- 15:56There's no way that they would have been understand that
- 15:58dynamic Trinity relationship, the 1st and 2nd persons of deity
- 16:04bringing into existence an order of sons who go out into the
- 16:07universe and create these universes of perfection.
- 16:13It gets more interesting because we know that Michael was here.
- 16:20Each Creator Son is the only begotten and only begettable
- 16:24offspring of the parent union of the original concepts of the two
- 16:28infinite and eternal and perfect minds of the ever existent
- 16:32creators of the universe of universes.
- 16:35So Michael is an offspring. The man that was born and lived
- 16:39on our world is an offspring of the Trinity.
- 16:44That's the differentiation. Well, you can't rewrite the,
- 16:49the, the pedigree of of Christ. He was the Son of God.
- 16:52He's the only son of God. Well, it's only relatively true
- 16:55because Michael is the creator son of our universe.
- 17:00And there are 700,000 universes, each one consisting of around 10
- 17:06million worlds. Now you see an expansion on this
- 17:10idea of what a creator's son is, and it makes his mission even
- 17:15that more fantastic. It makes it even more humbling
- 17:19actually, to know that Christ could have chosen any one of 10
- 17:23million worlds, but He chose ours.
- 17:25And why did He do this? That's the question.
- 17:27Why did he do it? Well, the reason that he did it
- 17:31is because it's part of the Michael bestowals and there are
- 17:35seven groups of bestowal creator sons and each are classified in
- 17:39accordance with the number of times they have bestowed
- 17:42themselves. Now this happens over a a
- 17:45billion year period of time and through these 7 bestowals and
- 17:52they vary in sectors and universes, they always embrace
- 17:56the mortal bestowal adventure. So each of these other creator
- 18:00Michael sons that are out there in universes that are far, far
- 18:03and away from us, they too also go through their bestowal
- 18:07experience. After each of his bestowals, a
- 18:11Creator's son proceeds to the right hand of the Father, there
- 18:15to gain the Father's acceptance of the bestowal and to receive
- 18:19instruction preparatory to the next episode of universe
- 18:23service. Following the 7th and final
- 18:26bestowal, a Creator's Son receives from the Universal
- 18:30Father's supreme authority and jurisdiction over his universe
- 18:34and from Paper 21, Section 4, it reads.
- 18:38It is of record that the Divine Son of last appearance on your
- 18:41planet was a Paradise Creator Son who had completed 6 phases
- 18:46of his bestowal career. And consequently when he gave up
- 18:50the conscious grasp of his incarnated life on Urantia, he
- 18:54could and did truly say it is finished.
- 18:59It was literally finished. His death on Urantia completed
- 19:03his bestowal career. It was the last step in
- 19:08fulfilling the sacred oath of a Paradise Creator Son.
- 19:14And when this experience had been acquired, such sons are
- 19:17Supreme Universe sovereigns. No longer do they rule as
- 19:22Besidrons of the Father, but in their own right and named as
- 19:27King of Kings and Lord of Lords. With certain stated exceptions,
- 19:31the sevenfold bestowal Sons are unqualifiedly supreme in the
- 19:36universes of their abode. Concerning His local universe
- 19:40Quote. All power in heaven and on earth
- 19:44was relegated to this triumphant and enthroned Master Son.
- 19:50So that that is an expansion, a major expansion to the concepts
- 19:57that come from Scripture. Nothing changes on his divine
- 20:00nature, his relationship with the Father.
- 20:03In fact, it's even more explained in a much deeper
- 20:07fashion in this in this writing. It takes nothing away from the
- 20:12divinity of of Jesus Christ. It takes nothing away from his
- 20:16of his earth life and the importance of it.
- 20:19And he truly did represent the Father.
- 20:22I would ask my Christian friends before you.
- 20:26Push this book away. I I challenge you to read into
- 20:30it. Read the last part of the book.
- 20:32It may surprise you and how much more fully you appreciate the
- 20:36masters life while he was on earth.
- 20:42Now it talks about the bestowal. So we'll spend a minute and I
- 20:45just want to spend a minute because it is important.
- 20:51Each of the bestowals allows the the Michael sons, the Creator
- 20:55sons, to experience first hand what their creation is.
- 21:01So in paraphrasing from Paper 21, Section 4, it says when a
- 21:05Creator's son designs to effect the bestowal, a real and
- 21:10permanent change is destined to take place.
- 21:13True, the bestowal son is still and nonetheless a creator, but
- 21:17he has added to his nature the experience of a creature, which
- 21:22forever removes him from the divine level of a Creator's son
- 21:26and elevates him to the experiential plane of a master
- 21:30son, one who has fully earned the right to rule a universe and
- 21:36administer its worlds. The reason for the season?
- 21:44And I hope you've enjoyed that. Until next time, thank you
- 21:46again. Don't forget, you can always
- 21:48listen on Spotify, your favorite podcast platform, or you can go
- 21:52over to yourrancherradio.org. Until next time, God bless,
- 21:56Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
- 21:58Hello. The Angel of the Lord came upon
- 22:00them, and the glory of the Lord shall run about them.
- 22:04And they were so afraid, And the Angel said unto them, And fear
- 22:07not. For behold, I bring your tidings
- 22:10of great joy, which shall be to all people.
- 22:13For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior,
- 22:17which is Christ the Lord, and this shall be a sign unto you.
- 22:22He shall find the Abe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a
- 22:25Manger. And suddenly there was with the
- 22:27Angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and
- 22:32saying, Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace,
- 22:36goodwill toward men.
