Transcript
- 0:00We've been doing every week the breakfast, Sunday breakfast,
- 0:06taking a different chapter for Heineken FC's book.
- 0:08What he did was he wrote a book that was, he said people always
- 0:11kind of came to him for advice. So he has an idea he compiled
- 0:16based on the letters at Olive Beth.
- 0:17He compiled a list of things that he recommends a person
- 0:20should work on and realized as the most important things for a
- 0:25person to develop in the right way.
- 0:26You come to a letter, ma'am now and literally he shifts gears
- 0:30from week to week. Last sequels, Les Sanut was a
- 0:32complete topic and now men. What is men for me dot now me
- 0:38dot, which means character traits and development of
- 0:40character traits. It's very important to analyze
- 0:43this in depth for the following reason and that is that you
- 0:48don't have a time in life per SE that you're officially sit down
- 0:53and work on me dot. You don't have a schedule where
- 0:56you say during these few minutes it's me doing time.
- 0:59We have musar, I understand that, but there's no specific me
- 1:03doing character trade time. And yet the reality is the
- 1:06reality is this for many, many people, this can be pushed to
- 1:10the wayside. And that means a person could
- 1:12say, I'm going to work on myself in every area.
- 1:14I'm going to work on my learning, I'm going to work on
- 1:17my praying, I'm going to work on my muna, I'm going to work on
- 1:20these things and kind of better Jew, my kashut, my Shabbat, all
- 1:24normal. And the person and those things
- 1:27are processed, but the person will never get in a sense, never
- 1:30spend time directly focusing on their midot.
- 1:33It's very possible because you don't have a set time, you don't
- 1:37have a set book, you don't have really anyone forcing you to
- 1:41work on your midot, right? And therefore you easily can
- 1:44push it away side. And yet the reality is we know
- 1:47the line, it's Kamala Torah. What does that line mean?
- 1:51Precedes the Torah. So it sounds like, you know,
- 1:54people will throw this at you or someone sees a learning guy and
- 1:57they see him driving too fast. They say that's not really the
- 2:00definition of those words. The definition of those words
- 2:03are that you have to be a person before you're a learning person.
- 2:09You have to work on yourself as a person before you work in
- 2:13yourself to rise up. You have to 1st be a human
- 2:15being. Now let's understand these words
- 2:17he brings and I'll bring out, I think a major point.
- 2:20He's just like this Rabin who he says like it says in high vital
- 2:25and the service says Shami dot a non NIMIM Mitaryagam.
- 2:28That's what we have 613. That's what where in those 613
- 2:32do we say we do it? Where in the does it say develop
- 2:36yourself? And when I say me, do what I
- 2:37mean work on your anger, work on your frustration, work on your
- 2:42I'm talking about other people, work on your jealousy.
- 2:44These are me. Do it right, Work on your
- 2:48Galvan, all these different things.
- 2:49We're in the 613. There's the same thing about
- 2:51these. There's not one place in the
- 2:53613. Mitzvah doesn't say anything
- 2:55about having to meet doors. So he says, you know, why?
- 2:59Not because they're insignificant, but rather
- 3:01because they're more significant because God gave the Torah and
- 3:06its laws to a Jew. You got to be a Jew before you
- 3:09get to that Mitzvahed Kihen E Karevi soda mitzvah.
- 3:13That is the foundation. That is the foundation of being
- 3:17a person. I once said this in a speech.
- 3:20This is private Al and my father afterwards said, I'm more sure
- 3:24you said a very dangerous speech.
- 3:26He said. I said why?
- 3:26And he never commented on my speeches ever in a negative way.
- 3:29He says because someone can take that the wrong way and someone
- 3:32can bash everybody by saying before you work on Tada Ahmeds
- 3:364th work on becoming a person. That's not what the meaning of
- 3:39these words are. What the meaning is is that life
- 3:42overall requires a person to recognize I have an entire focus
- 3:48on developing myself and I have an entire approach of working on
- 3:52myself other than something I realize.
- 3:53If I'm you dot, let's say you work on your anger and you start
- 3:57calming on your anger. You don't get angry as as often.
- 4:00Very good. Frustration is still going to be
- 4:02a thing. Let's say you work on
- 4:04frustration, impatient. It's still going to be a thing,
- 4:07still going to be there. Let's say you work on that.
- 4:10Jealousy may very well be a thing, La Shawna, which in the
- 4:14form of lack of Medoth, might very well be a thing, right?
- 4:18There's so many different forms of lack of character, weakness
- 4:21and character, and they're always going to pop up.
- 4:24It's literally like playing that game whack A mole when it comes
- 4:27to working on Medoth. So what do we do?
- 4:30All we do is they recognize and double down on the fact.
- 4:34We double down on the fact that it's the heaviest and most
- 4:38significant part of your existence.
- 4:41Most significant part of your existence, it's a work on yummy
- 4:44dog. Before you say I have to finish
- 4:46shots, before you say I have to learn work and I have Kavanaugh,
- 4:50my Tefila. I realize this fact.
- 4:53The most significant part of my existence is to work on my
- 4:56character tree. If you realize that, if you
- 4:58absorb that fact, then you'll slowly but surely develop and
- 5:02develop some more. That's how it works.
- 5:04Once a person recognizes how significant is, I'll give you
- 5:07some quotes, he says from Khazal.
- 5:09You're always like this number one call on Mark Zeke Mahloka
- 5:15Alaka Midora, someone who's someone who double S down in the
- 5:18fight, someone who holds on to a fight.
- 5:20He's committing a sin, right? We know there are many, many
- 5:23sins and we're talking about other people.
- 5:25And let me give you how how more it is call Ahmed Kaye anyone
- 5:28who's arrogant arrogant is a lack of character.
- 5:31What does he consider Harry U Kiko fed be car.
- 5:35He's like someone who doesn't believe in God.
- 5:38If he's arrogant, that's pretty strong, right?
- 5:40And it says that person should be cut down like an ashirachi,
- 5:43like a vedaza tree, he should be cut down.
- 5:45That basically means an arrogant person has to be wiped off,
- 5:48right? And it says his dirt, then a
- 5:52Faro, his dust will not be brought back to life by tequila.
- 5:57The Mateen doesn't say that about someone that's heavy.
- 6:00That's very heavy. Why do we need to know this
- 6:02heaviness? So give me another example.
- 6:03Call Aquas is someone who frequently gets angry.
- 6:07Kilu O Vera vedaza that's heavy Call Meena getting on show Timbo
- 6:14and that person's got to deal with all sorts of getting on
- 6:17someone who's jealous. What they say about a jealous
- 6:19person, you know, says about a jealous person.
- 6:22I'm giving you all the happiness first, what does it say about
- 6:25person who's jealous? Think about rights.
- 6:28A person who's jealous, what happens?
- 6:30His bones rot. Vlad canal Amaruat motel
- 6:34Merkevin his bones rot and they're all facing anyone else
- 6:38and then it says Kanata vote Kadava kavod these three things
- 6:42better character jealousy running up the desires running
- 6:46up the kavod takes the person out of this world right Mosia
- 6:49domino them someone who who's someone who's in someone who
- 6:53hates what to say about that person over and it's worse.
- 6:58We know we're in the time period 3 weeks.
- 7:01We know hating another person for nothing major, right?
- 7:04Petty hatred is more significant than the big three.
- 7:08The big three means a murder. What does that mean?
- 7:14Doesn't mean that they're literally more significant.
- 7:15It means in a certain sense, our person needs to absorb the fact
- 7:19that the most heavy thing of your existence, the biggest job
- 7:23in your life is to work in your character.
- 7:25That's the reality. The biggest job that you will
- 7:28find your existence is to work in your character.
- 7:30How do you know? How can I prove it true?
- 7:33Have you anywhere? Any of us developed in a certain
- 7:35area, we've learnt more, have we prayed more?
- 7:38Have we gotten more observed in certain areas?
- 7:40We have. How hard is it still for you to
- 7:44get over a certain degree of anger that you have?
- 7:47Certain person gets you nervous, right?
- 7:49And a brother-in-law, he gets you nervous and certainly gets
- 7:51you nervous. It's still hard to get over that
- 7:53person, even deal with that person, even though you're
- 7:56developing, even though you're working on yourself.
- 7:58And another thing I'll prove to you, in all fields, I'm talking
- 8:01about every level of observance in every sect.
- 8:05The most difficult thing to realize is that there's still
- 8:08fights. No matter what level of religion
- 8:11a person is, there still exists major fights.
- 8:14There still exists major challenges getting along.
- 8:17Why? Because this is the hardest
- 8:19thing a person has to work on. Thank you so much.
- 8:21And now you have to realize this.
- 8:23How could it be? There's no book on me dot.
- 8:26There's no time we give to working on me dots.
- 8:29How can I make it so heavy when the reality is there's no focus
- 8:34on it? How much focus do you give in
- 8:37your day to work on your medoth? How much focus you giving it?
- 8:41Here's the thing, you don't really give a person doesn't
- 8:43really give any focus on it. What happens is life forces a
- 8:48person to work on the medoth, which means if you want to be
- 8:51married properly, you have no choice but to work on your
- 8:54medoth. There's no other way, which
- 8:56means you're going to work on your patients, you know, work on
- 8:58your frustration, you're going to work on your anger, you're
- 9:01going to work on understanding other people.
- 9:02You're going to work on excuse me, work on not talking
- 9:06negatively. All these things are going to
- 9:07come out to your marriage, right?
- 9:09You want to raise your children properly.
- 9:12You're not have to work on your medoth.
- 9:13You're not have to work on not caring about respect so much,
- 9:16not demanding it, right? If you want to raise children
- 9:18today properly, if you demand respect and you're raising
- 9:21children, good luck. It's not going to happen because
- 9:24today, the way the world is, where our children are growing
- 9:28up, they do not, They're not built with the same level of
- 9:30respect. And of course they should have.
- 9:32I know they should have. I got that.
- 9:33But the reality is if you make that a prerequisite to exist and
- 9:37to be a father, you'll be frustrated, constant.
- 9:40So now you have to be more hell cavort all the time.
- 9:42Now you have to be someone who overlooks things all the time.
- 9:46Now you have to be someone who is not so demanding of himself
- 9:49existing. It's a whole different existence
- 9:51of yourself. What happens is life is the
- 9:54Mossad selfit of character. Life itself keeps forcing you to
- 9:59be a good person, and it makes you develop if it's still a part
- 10:03of us. A person can be a good father
- 10:07and a good husband and still have terrible medoth.
- 10:11Why? How's that possible?
- 10:13Good father, good husband, terrible medoth.
- 10:15So the life is not going to be his schooling to make him a good
- 10:17person. First of all, how is that
- 10:19possible? How can a person be a good
- 10:21father and a good husband? Terrible Medoth.
- 10:24It's not thinking and but how could it be?
- 10:26He's a guy who's patient. Obviously he's a person who's
- 10:29slow to anger, obviously who's a person who doesn't care about
- 10:32respect because he's a good father and his children won't
- 10:34respect him all the time. So how can it be?
- 10:36A person doesn't have to be taught.
- 10:38How am I saying this fact? Here's a reality that people
- 10:41have to realize and that is that people create a circle.
- 10:45People create a circle around themselves and whoever's in
- 10:48their circle they love, they treat properly, they're good
- 10:52with any person outside their circle is the worst person in
- 10:57society. And it all depends on who you
- 11:00consider part of your circle. I've made this observation in
- 11:03families and people forever, and that is you could have people
- 11:07that's so good to their children, something
- 11:09unbelievable, so good to their children, and they don't talk to
- 11:12their brother over something small.
- 11:15I'm not talking about something big.
- 11:16I don't think about business. I'm not going to give up.
- 11:19They're so good to their kids. They love their kids.
- 11:20They take care of their kids and they don't talk to their
- 11:22brother. How's it possible?
- 11:24The answer is, and by the way, at one point they were so close
- 11:28to their brother. The answer is, and this is a
- 11:30very sad reality, Their circle within got large enough that
- 11:35they no longer need this circle out there and they therefore cut
- 11:38those people out. Yet the reality is overtime in
- 11:40life, it's a very sad existence because they do need that person
- 11:44and they wouldn't wish they get along.
- 11:46But here's a person who thinks that they worked on that
- 11:48character, but you haven't worked in your character and not
- 11:51one dropped. You worked on your patience with
- 11:53your family because that's your circle.
- 11:55You worked on your angrier family.
- 11:56That's your circle, your frustration, your lack of
- 11:59respect, all that. That's your circle.
- 12:01But outside your circle, you hate every person out there,
- 12:05right? That's fake working on
- 12:07character. I've seen this eyewitnesses
- 12:09first hand many times, that sketch character development.
- 12:13That's a 0. It's a I'll tell you why it's a
- 12:170 because once his arm breaks down, once you say they're in my
- 12:21circle, it's like my leg. Do I care about my leg?
- 12:24Of course I do. Do I want my leg to be in pain?
- 12:26No. So I love my children.
- 12:28I don't want my children to be in pain and therefore I'll
- 12:31overlook things. But my sibling, my cousin or
- 12:35someone out there, I could care less about them.
- 12:37They don't mean anything to me. So therefore that's not
- 12:40developing. In my humble opinion.
- 12:42That's a 0 on the scale of character 0.
- 12:45Because if you only care about certain people on that list, we
- 12:49know we have a bird. That's not kosher.
- 12:52The name of the bird is called the Hasidah.
- 12:54Why is it called the Hasidah? I finally say this all the time.
- 12:58Why is it called the Hasidah? Because it's very nice to his
- 13:01family, very nice to his family. So why is it on kosher?
- 13:05Because it's very mean to everybody else.
- 13:08And that's a sketch. We have that in this world.
- 13:10We have that in society. We have our circle, our circle
- 13:13we love, and the people just an inch outside that circle and the
- 13:17devil, how'd that happen? Because we made a circle around
- 13:20ourselves and we love those people and other people we hate.
- 13:24That's a sketch a 0 on the scale of character.
- 13:28So then let me ask you this question.
- 13:29I thought about this all time. How then can a person develop?
- 13:33How's the person developing character?
- 13:35If you're telling me that the notebook there's no part of your
- 13:38schedule. You could even have a circle
- 13:41which is considered in a circle. People who are your friends,
- 13:45people who are your children, people who are your your wife
- 13:49and your parents, your small circle, those you love and those
- 13:53you care for and they could do no wrong.
- 13:55So where exactly are you going to work on care of?
- 13:58How do you work on care of right?
- 14:01Truth is have to know those two things.
- 14:02I think give me a humble opinion.
- 14:04Two things. You work on character in two
- 14:07weeks. One, you recognize the fact that
- 14:10it is your #1 greatest task on this earth.
- 14:14Your number one most important task on this earth is to develop
- 14:18as a human being and your character to be a person who
- 14:21doesn't care about honor. If at 50 you get the same
- 14:25insulted and people don't respect you as you did at 40,
- 14:29that's a failure in the area of Cowlitz and you got to work a
- 14:32little harder. If you get the same frustrated
- 14:34at people at that older age as doing you younger, it's a
- 14:39failure and the area of frustration and on and on.
- 14:41And the person has to realize my job on this earth is it
- 14:45developing character, my #1 task.
- 14:48If I recognize that that's my #1 mission on this earth is that my
- 14:52body and myself at 120 looks very different.
- 14:57Your existence is your character.
- 14:59That means how much anger you have, how much you get upset
- 15:02other people, how jealous you are, how much you care about
- 15:05kaboot. That is your definition of who
- 15:07you are. Everything else is outside who
- 15:10you are. Your body, your soul is your
- 15:12character. And how much that's changing is
- 15:15dependent, deciding how much you're growing.
- 15:18So if you absorb that fact and you realize that your #1 task,
- 15:22right? People always say why I have to
- 15:25be in this situation, Why me? Wild to be yesterday we had no
- 15:29power, right? And we had across the street,
- 15:31across the street. There was one home.
- 15:33I'm sure you all I was in no blocks.
- 15:34There's one home as lit up with a generator, right.
- 15:38And the whole time, you know, you have this sort of sense
- 15:40toward that family, like why do they have a generator?
- 15:42Why don't we have a generator? Their house looks lit up like,
- 15:45you know, forget it. We had to get light from them.
- 15:47That was the type of thing. I was very sad.
- 15:50I you like, you know you're getting nervous, not saying
- 15:52jealous per SE, but you're getting nervous.
- 15:54You're in that situation yesterday.
- 15:56You know why you're in that situation.
- 15:57The number one reason you had a power outage.
- 16:00You know why? To figure out how patient you
- 16:02can be, how you can avoid jealousy, how you can handle
- 16:06things, how you can roll with it.
- 16:07That's why you're in that situation.
- 16:09It's the only reason God puts us in a power outage and the only
- 16:12reason God puts us in traffic and the only reason God puts us
- 16:15dealing with a difficult buyer and dealing with a difficult Co
- 16:18worker and dealing with a certain area with your wife and
- 16:20dealing with certain nutrition. The number one reason is so you
- 16:24can become a different person and when you do, God takes it
- 16:27away when a person is able to handle that challenge.
- 16:31And this is more than your MUNA and more than you beat the horn
- 16:35is the development of yourself. You may use your MUNA and beat
- 16:37the horn to help you develop yourself.
- 16:40You realize it's kind of from my shame.
- 16:41So you develop yourself. But the number one reason you
- 16:44deal with headaches is that you become a better person.
- 16:47And you slowly but surely do. And then what happens?
- 16:50Those issues slowly but surely go away.
- 16:52And then what happens? New issues crop up, right?
- 16:56Why? Because you're supposed to
- 16:57slowly, slowly develop in that area too, and surely become a
- 17:02better person in that area. I say this all the time.
- 17:04I spent eight years in a dorm, 8 years living with guys.
- 17:10Four guys in a room, Guys coming in blasting music. 2O clock in
- 17:15the morning, turning on the lights while you're fast asleep,
- 17:18right. Guys that didn't smell the best,
- 17:21guys that didn't look the best. Got also, it's action, all
- 17:24right? I can say it's very honest.
- 17:28Eight years in the Dome does not match.
- 17:31One night being married. One night being married, Right,
- 17:35Right. Wrong.
- 17:35Not because of the smell or the look or the sound, because of
- 17:39all the different other processes you have to deal with.
- 17:42So why does God do that? Because you got to deal with
- 17:44this and you got to deal with that and then you develop and
- 17:48there is no other way. You know, I know someone in
- 17:52reality, I know in in the Shiva learning, there were many rabbis
- 17:56who actually never got married. Never got married.
- 18:00Why? Because they're the original
- 18:02crew of what they called Alta mirrors.
- 18:05The old people from the mirror, they went through China,
- 18:07Shanghai, China, that story there, the group that went to
- 18:09China, and there were no wives for them at the time, and they
- 18:12never got married. All right?
- 18:14Few of them never got married. And yet they had students.
- 18:17They built the Holy Shira and they had students, and they used
- 18:19to give classes to Khatanim. So they never got married
- 18:23themselves, and they gave classes to Khatanim.
- 18:25That was the world. And there was a big dispute and
- 18:28a big debate about whether that's OK.
- 18:32And in fact, some people said you're not allowed to listen to
- 18:35classes, these rabbis, that you could do a lean.
- 18:37They could do a lean. They were people who were
- 18:39unbelievable. They worked on themselves.
- 18:42They developed. They spent five years or so in
- 18:45China learning all day, finding about the fact that they lost
- 18:48their family and not flinching. They were unbelievably developed
- 18:51people, but they were never married.
- 18:53So in that area, they were not developed.
- 18:56And the rabbis said, I'm not at all if you could listen to a
- 18:58qatan class from them because they didn't develop in that
- 19:00area. Yeah, but they're a got dual
- 19:02doesn't make a difference. They didn't face that challenge.
- 19:05You may not be able to hear from them.
- 19:06Everything that you're facing in life is your help to develop
- 19:11yourself and the more you absorb that, the more you realize that
- 19:14the more you're able to handle and the more you're able to
- 19:16grow. That's my first recommendation I
- 19:19think to development and and you do it.
- 19:21What's the other part quickly is this.
- 19:24And that is how much do you deal and think about other people?
- 19:30If you're heavily focused on other people, if that's your
- 19:34world thinking and worrying about other people, you will
- 19:37have so many areas of issues. Frustration, lack of cavort,
- 19:42anger, Ashwinara, jealousy goes all the norm if you're very busy
- 19:47with other people. I met a person the other day.
- 19:49I was sitting and learning with a person.
- 19:51This guy is a very pretty, he's a very prominent person in this
- 19:54community. Very prominent.
- 19:56OK, very well off, very big family.
- 19:59One of the most prestigious families in the community.
- 20:01Fine. The guy, for whatever reason,
- 20:04does not know a soul's name. He doesn't know anybody's name.
- 20:09Doesn't know anyone's name, right.
- 20:11Some people, like I know my parents, they knew every single
- 20:14name that existed. So and so is this guy's cousins,
- 20:16guy's uncle, the whole thing. Every time you hear someone's
- 20:18getting married, they know where they are.
- 20:20I don't know that many people. This guy does not know his soul.
- 20:23OK, now is that a good thing or a bad thing?
- 20:26He doesn't know people's names. He's part of the community.
- 20:28He's got maybe 8 kids, they're all married to procedures,
- 20:31families. He has grandkids.
- 20:33He is a big business. He's all over the place.
- 20:36He doesn't know anyone's name. Why?
- 20:38He's a little bit absent minded question.
- 20:41Is that a good thing or bad thing?
- 20:43Can I know where people are? It's an extreme.
- 20:49I understand. I think I.
- 20:50Was introduced to someone like 6 times the same like as if it was
- 20:54the first time. Right.
- 20:56So it's really bothersome technically speaking.
- 20:59It's bothersome technically speaking.
- 21:00And it's strange. It's unique.
- 21:03It's his makeup. It's just how his parents raised
- 21:05him. I understand that fine.
- 21:06But you know what the one beauty is, he that can care less about
- 21:11the kind of car he drops, he can care less.
- 21:13That's plays right into it. He can care less when so and
- 21:16so's daughter gets married to a more famous people.
- 21:19He can care less. He can care less when his
- 21:21grandchildren are not at the top of the class, right?
- 21:24And they're not getting valid attorney.
- 21:25He can care less. He can care less.
- 21:27I want someone else has something to say about him.
- 21:29It doesn't matter to him because he doesn't flow with other
- 21:33people. And so I don't want to be that
- 21:35person, but I do want to have that makeup, which is I do not
- 21:39want to be constantly. Some people the way they live.
- 21:43You know, the community talks. We know that, right?
- 21:45Every time any, any, any blip happens, the whole community
- 21:48talks. Some reason we have the hottest
- 21:51airwaves of the world, right? Somehow over the course of a
- 21:53Shabbat, right, you can find out about a donation that happened
- 21:58in Allenhurst and the whole community is going to find that
- 22:00advantage. It's the way we are.
- 22:01I don't know what it is. We talk, we talk, we talk every
- 22:03movement of school, we talked about everything we talk about.
- 22:05It's all cute, it's all fine. Someone says getting married,
- 22:08you talk about that. All these different things,
- 22:10politics, all good, fine. The problem with that is if you
- 22:14are, if you someone who's aware of the airwaves and you know
- 22:17someone who cares about airwaves, you know, you care
- 22:20about, they're talking about so and so.
- 22:22They're not talking about me. They're busy with so and so.
- 22:24They're not busy with me. Why is this person getting that
- 22:27fanfare? Why am I not?
- 22:28Why is so and so daughter getting married?
- 22:30Why isn't I not? Why are they?
- 22:32Why did they have stuff busy with that house this summer and
- 22:35not mine? And this becomes part of your
- 22:36existence and the more you function with other people,
- 22:40which is a beautiful need to be a social person, but it's also a
- 22:43very weak thing because you're a very, extremely social person
- 22:46and you're a very dependent person and a very, very
- 22:48dependent person. Then you know what, you have to
- 22:51deal with all sorts of things with your children getting along
- 22:53with this swan and dealing with that one and being part of the
- 22:56inner circle and all these different things.
- 22:58So the, I think the second recommendation is not to become
- 23:01a hermit, no, but to not care that much about other people's
- 23:06existence. Just don't don't care about them
- 23:08at all because the real reality is their life and their world
- 23:13plays 00 and to your success and your existence.
- 23:18Remember the lesson of the wife of On Ben Pellet?
- 23:22The wife of On Ben said a couple weeks ago on Shiva morning, the
- 23:25wife of On Ben Bella on Bella was the guy who joined along
- 23:28with Kodak originally to find Moshe Beno.
- 23:32His wife came to him and said what are you doing?
- 23:34He said what are you talking about?
- 23:36She said you're joining Kodak. The family should have been him.
- 23:39So Kodak becomes a leader right? What's going to happen?
- 23:42Are you going to become the leader?
- 23:43No. Is it going to do anything to
- 23:45you or nothing to gain? The reality is and now she got
- 23:49come in so I wasn't the back out of the fight.
- 23:50The reality is when we hear about all the community talk,
- 23:54all this nonsense and all this noise, it's just noise.
- 23:57It makes no difference to your life. 0 Now the key was there by
- 24:01the way, it makes no difference to their life either.
- 24:02Fine, just talk. But the less you care and the
- 24:06less you live in that world and the more you're able to do
- 24:09things that are independent, the more you're able to function
- 24:12with your own family and say to yourself, I'm good, I'm happy.
- 24:15What happens to them doesn't matter.
- 24:17The less you're busy with the world, the less you get jealous,
- 24:20the less you care about Kavoid, the less you get angry, the less
- 24:23you get frustrated, the more you're able to exist in a
- 24:26peaceful world. So and the and the first have I
- 24:28told you don't create a circle. And 2nd I'm telling you create a
- 24:32circle, which means in a sense it was a function on your own
- 24:35and not really busy with other people.
- 24:37What happens is you get alone so much better with other people
- 24:41that way. And this I think are the 2 main
- 24:44themes. There's a lot of themes.
- 24:45There's two main themes of character.
- 24:47As I telling you is this one, your number one job in life is a
- 24:52development character. Bottom line, your number one job
- 24:56is to look different at 1:20 than you do today in every area
- 25:00of who you are and #2 to figure out a way to function among many
- 25:06people. You have a lot of friends, a lot
- 25:08of people you know, beautiful, very large community.
- 25:10That's like a small family. That's very cute.
- 25:12If you know what happens in a small family when it's one
- 25:14person gets more covered with another person and one person
- 25:17gets it's more procedure than the person.
- 25:19There's jealousy, there's talk, there's negativity, there's a
- 25:22shraddha. You got to deal with the
- 25:23function the way that you can care less, but it goes on other
- 25:27people. The more you're that way, the
- 25:28better off you are, the more you function independent.
- 25:31The guy who can go on a vacation to a different place and
- 25:36everybody else, he's the guy I'm I'm impressed with because he's
- 25:39able to say for my family, we do a little differently.
- 25:41I'm not leaving the community. I'm not saying there's sometimes
- 25:44stay in the Hamptons instead of deal.
- 25:45I'm not doing something crazy. I'm just saying I'm going to
- 25:48change it up a drop and I have the ability to say I do my own
- 25:51thing. If you think that way, you're
- 25:54luckiest person in life. You are the person that
- 25:56everybody else will really be jealous of at the end because
- 25:58you're functioning on your own and you function with your own
- 26:01existence. So I believe these two keys are
- 26:04the keys for a person to realize Medot is your #1 task in life.
- 26:09Maybe you saw Salon to say he's the father of Musab movement.
- 26:13I'm close to this. He said I could finish the whole
- 26:16shots faster than I can change 1 character tree, right?
- 26:21That's not a joke. Holy shots not only takes to
- 26:24finish the whole shots. For this rabbi talking about
- 26:26probably 20 year process, I can finish the whole shots fast that
- 26:30I can develop and change 1 character tree.
- 26:32If you realize that and you realize, but yet still that's
- 26:34more important than you realize. Every single situation in life
- 26:39is a school book and education to develop and to become a
- 26:42better person. We'll stop with this.
