- 0:22experience of rest roundabout, rest on every side is to
- 0:27be spiritually minded Romans eight six. Romans eight six, Paul
- 0:38was speaking, and is said to be cannally minded is
- 0:43already death, death in its entirety, And then it says,
- 0:48but to be spiritually minded is life and with it peace.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Spiritually minded.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Spirituality involve a number of many experiences and dimensions.
- 1:05Speaker 2: The chiefest of them been your encounter with the Lord Jesus.
- 1:08Speaker 1: You may want to write this on thus being spiritually
- 1:12minded true spirituality stats not just with your coming to church,
- 1:18not just with your listening to a man of God,
- 1:21not just with your.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Listening to a message.
- 1:23Speaker 1: True spirituality stats with your encounter with the Lord Jesus.
- 1:30Are we still learning, still examining the first key that
- 1:34to find rest round about you must be spiritually minded,
- 1:40and that the pathway to becoming spiritually minded is number one,
- 1:44to have an encounter with Jesus.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Matthew, Chapter eleven and verse twenty eight. I love Jesus.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Here's what he has to say, Matthew eleven, twenty eight.
- 1:55Can we read it together, one to read? Please come
- 1:58on to me. All ye that label and a heavy leader.
- 2:04What's the reward.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I will give you rest, not just life.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I will give your family rest. I will give your
- 2:17ministry rest. I will give your business rest. I will
- 2:21give your children rest. I will give your health rest.
- 2:24But the keys come on to me, Come.
- 2:28Speaker 2: On to me.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The Bible tells us the story of a young boy
- 2:33called the prodigal Son. That boy had his share of
- 2:37the inheritance and went to live at ryotos life, and
- 2:40when he had so declined to a point that he
- 2:43was the epitomy of calamity and felure. The Bible says
- 2:47he got up one day and said to himself, how
- 2:50many high servants as my father, and I am here
- 2:53feeding with the swine. I like the boy, He said,
- 2:56I will arise. He didn't say, my father will come
- 2:59and meet me there. The father never came to meet
- 3:03him in the place of dicadens. I will arise, and
- 3:07I will go to my father. And when I say
- 3:10my father, I will say unto him. Father I have
- 3:13sin against you and against Heaven. I am not worthy
- 3:16to be called your son. Take me as one of
- 3:19your slaves. As soon as he got up and began
- 3:22to move, the father also left his house and began
- 3:26to move.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They met somewhere at the point of his decision and
- 3:32encounter with Jesus.
- 3:33Speaker 1: There are many people who want to receive from God,
- 3:36but they do not desire to be spiritual. With all
- 3:40due respect, many politicians, many businessmen, captains of industry, parents,
- 3:48young people especially, they do not desire to have an
- 3:52encounter with Jesus, but they want the fruits of encounter.
- 3:56There are certain things that cannot be received through a
- 4:00back door. Jesus said this about himself. I am the way,
- 4:03not a way. The way. There is a way that
- 4:06sameth right onto a man, the Bible says, but the
- 4:09end thereof are.
- 4:10Speaker 2: The ways of death.
- 4:11Speaker 1: But hees Jesus speaking, He says, I am the way,
- 4:14I am the truth, I am the life. He says,
- 4:16no man comment to the Father except through me.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And encounter with Jesus.
- 4:25Speaker 1: When you encounter Jesus, you are already on your way
- 4:29to being secure.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Proverbs eighteen ten.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter eighteen and verse ten very powerful and profound rendition.
- 4:38He says, the name of the Lord is a strong tower. Hallelujah.
- 4:42The right sus runs into it, and they are say
- 4:47the name of the Lord, the name of the Lord,
- 4:50not the name of a man. The name of the
- 4:52Lord is a strong tower. There is no house on
- 4:56earth that you can hide too in away from demons.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You can hide away from our robots.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The military can protect you against physical forces, but they
- 5:08may not be able to protect you against principalities and
- 5:10powers and rulers of darkness, age, long causes that are
- 5:14determined to reduce you to a place of shame.
- 5:18Speaker 2: But my Bible says the name.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Of the Lord is a strong power that the writers
- 5:24can run into it and be shore that what killed
- 5:26my father would not kill me again, what killed my
- 5:29mother would not kill me again.
- 5:30Speaker 2: What destroyed people from my lineage?
- 5:33Speaker 1: I can redefine my possibilities when I run to Jesus, Allelujah.
- 5:43You believe that Oga you are my eger, and I
- 5:51will have a phrasey Hoga mya, and I will have praisy.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I will seek you with the morning.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I have left to walk in your ways.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Step bus you leave me and.
- 6:21Speaker 3: I will follow you all of my days.
- 6:27Speaker 1: For step by step you leave me, and I will
- 6:32follow you all of my days.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Oh God, you are my God, and I will have
- 6:44a praises. Oh God, you are my God, and I.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Will ever love you.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I will seek you with the morning.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I have learned to work in your ways.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Firstep mister, you leave me, and now I will follow
- 7:15you all of my day.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Listen, ladies and gentlemen, hear me. This business of Jesus
- 7:23Christ is beyond Church. This issue of Jesus Christ is
- 7:29beyond the pretense and the hypocrisy the form of godliness.
- 7:36This issue of Jesus must be a genuine encounter.
- 7:40Speaker 2: There are many things you cannot fake.
- 7:43Speaker 1: One of it is a solid, genuine encounter with the
- 7:47Lord Jesus Christ.
- 7:50Speaker 2: With all due respect, there.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Are many people in church who have not met him.
- 7:58There are many people in minnis who have not met him.
- 8:02Speaker 2: There are many people.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Serving at various levels in ministries and Christian organizations who
- 8:09are working for God but not with him.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Please listen, Please listen.
- 8:20Speaker 1: While I watched several people dancing to the praise and
- 8:23worship powerfully, among the many things that moved in my
- 8:26spirit was all God. I pray and hope that this
- 8:30dance is to a god.
- 8:31Speaker 2: They know. I pray and hope.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That this sweating and rejoicing is to a God.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You know, because there.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Were men in a place called Attends who were doing
- 8:44obey sans to an unknown God. There are many people
- 8:49giving to an unknown god, singing to an unknown god,
- 8:53preaching for an unknown God, moving from place to place,
- 8:59wearing this that's carrying the name of a god they
- 9:01do not know. You want rest roundabout? There are things
- 9:08that men cannot give. Rest is not found in a bank.
- 9:12You don't find rest in a university. There is no
- 9:15cause called rest.
- 9:20Speaker 2: There is no.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Chef who can cook a meal called rest. No, it
- 9:24does not exist in the world of men. Rest only
- 9:27resides with the ancient of days.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I will give you rest. I will give you rest. Now,
- 9:39watch this what discussing being spiritually minded? Ladies and gentleman.
- 9:44Hear me.
- 9:45Speaker 1: At the end of my discourse, I'm going to be
- 9:47making an altar call, And I believe there are people here.
- 9:51You've been around the things of God for a long time.
- 9:54You perhaps may have had an opportunity to serve in
- 9:57various capacities in church. That does not equal to an
- 10:00encounter with God, having a Christian name, coming from a
- 10:03Christian family. As advantageous as these are, they do not
- 10:08in themselves.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Translate to salvation.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You must encounter the God of the Bible, the God
- 10:16of the Bible.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Allelujah. You are my God, You are my God. How
- 10:40can I call on your name and end up in shame?
- 10:46Speaker 3: No way, no way.
- 10:54Speaker 2: How can I.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Singing the song.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Before you and then found down before a man? No way,
- 11:04no way.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Because ladies, a gentleman, I'd rather be a failure with
- 11:23God than to succeed without you. And when I say God,
- 11:27I'm talking about Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
- 11:30Because God in our world today means anything. There are
- 11:34people God means themselves. There are others God means their
- 11:39bank accounts. There are others. God means they have several qualifications.
- 11:44As important as that is. My Bible says, trusting the
- 11:47Lord with all your heart. Prohaps three and verse five
- 11:50it says, lean not onto your own understanding. Verse six
- 11:53says in all your ways acknowledge, man, she shall direct
- 11:56your path. Verse seven says be not wise in your
- 11:59own understanding. He says fear the Lord and depart, turn
- 12:03away from evil.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Accept the Lord. You will say house.
- 12:09Speaker 1: My Bible says, they labor in vain, that would build it,
- 12:12except the Lord watches over a city.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Said the watchman watched but in vain.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That it is vain to wake up in the morning
- 12:18and to sleep late at night, only to eat the
- 12:21bread of sorrow. The Sami said, how many a day
- 12:24that rise up against me? Some three many a day
- 12:27that say where is your health? But he says, thou o, Lord,
- 12:31thou o, Lord, thou o, Lord, you are a shield
- 12:34for me. He calls him my glory, and the left
- 12:37tarop of my head. The Bible says they looked onto
- 12:39him and their faces were lightened. You cannot look up
- 12:43to him and be in shame. When the serpents came
- 12:50to oppress the nation of Israel, they had an opportunity
- 12:53to look two directions.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The brazen serpent representing.
- 12:58Speaker 1: The cross, or the one that was coming to them.
- 13:05Ladies and gentlemen, Behind the exploits and the rest of
- 13:10men that we admire in our world today, men and
- 13:13women in ministry, champions in the kingdom, in.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Business, in family.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Behind all the excellence, the admirable results.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Is a passion for God.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I've had the honor on your opportunity to meet people
- 13:29whose lives are an epitomy of excellence behind all of
- 13:34that paraphernalia. When you come to them, you find out
- 13:37that their real secret is not the intellect. Their real
- 13:40secret is not the banking skill. Their real secret is
- 13:44their love and their passion for Jesus allelujah. In addition
- 13:52to having an encounter with Jesus, you want to become
- 13:55spiritually minded. Your prayer all times be on fire. We're
- 14:00still discussing point one. This is what it takes to
- 14:03be spiritually minded. Number one, to have an encounter with
- 14:08the Son of the Living God. Number two. Your prayer life.
- 14:12It is the Apostolic model that was left with the Church.
- 14:16You want to be spiritual, it is not without a
- 14:19healthy prayer life, Adds Chapter two and verse forty two.
- 14:23The Bible says, and they continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrine,
- 14:28and in fellowship, and in breaking of bread.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And in prayer Acts chapter six and verse four.
- 14:36Speaker 1: It says, but we will give ourselves continually to prayer
- 14:40and the ministry of the world. Luke Chapter eighteen and
- 14:45verse one hexpect a parable to the end that men
- 14:48ought always to pray and not to faint. First the Salonia,
- 14:53Chapter five and verse seventeen, it says, pray without seasing change.
- 14:58Chapter five and verse tive is any man afflicted, he says,
- 15:02let him pray. Mark eleven and verse twenty four. It says,
- 15:07what things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that
- 15:13thou receivest them, and thou shalt have it. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 15:17the men who will command exploits in their world and
- 15:21find rest tame life like an animal are men and
- 15:25women who understand the mysteries of the altar.
- 15:32Speaker 2: We must obtain grace to pray. We must obtain grace
- 15:36to pray. Prayer is not for men of God.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's not for pastors and apostles and evangelists.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Please listen to me.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Their parents and the aged another prophet, as was.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Old, she still prayed. Young men, Jesus prayed. You must pray.
- 15:55Speaker 1: We must revite prayer as a culture with understanding. A
- 15:59general that does not pray will be a weak generation
- 16:03that will never see the power of God.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I tell you sincerely, and I'm not just.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Talking of me driven prayer, Give me, give me, give me.
- 16:11I'm talking of men who build capacity within the spirit.
- 16:15Peter said that desire to sift you like Wait, it
- 16:19says what I.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Have prayed for you.
- 16:22Speaker 1: That's your faith fell not and when now and conforted.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Strengthen your brethren. Show me a man of God who prays.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I show you a victor, one who will have rest
- 16:34on every side.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Show me a business man who prays.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Show me a mother who prays, no matter how's top
- 16:42on that child is. Let the mother keep praying. One day,
- 16:45fire from heaven will look at that child, no matter
- 16:49where he is. I tell you most people do not
- 16:52know the power in prayer. Go and read charge history
- 16:56and see people who shifted the spiritual climate of nations.
- 17:01Not with the power of prayer. Prayer with understanding can
- 17:08change things.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yes it can. In life. Jib was a man of
- 17:13life passion, the Bible says.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Yet he prayed saying the name of Jesus one more time.
- 17:19In the name of Jesus, I obtain grace to pray.
- 17:23If you came here and your prayer life has gone down,
- 17:26or perhaps until now you have believed that anyone who
- 17:29is serious in the prayer life must be someone who
- 17:32is getting into ministry. Please give yourself a renewed orientation.
- 17:37Prayer is an instrument for time survival. You cannot escape
- 17:43the arrows that fly by day, the noise and persilences,
- 17:47the destruction that waste in noonday.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Pray for me. Pray for me is wonderful, but.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You must learn to fund the ambers the flends from
- 17:56your own altar. Hear me, young people, I hate to
- 18:06be a pera of bad news, but let me make
- 18:08an honest admission. The days today are very different from
- 18:13the days of our parents. The level of honesty has changed,
- 18:18the level of sincerity has changed. You will have to
- 18:21use the weapon of prayer to create your own reality.
- 18:25Or the wise get said to join a long kill
- 18:28that may never move.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Away.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Together, sir, pray you gentlemen, pray, pray, pray, and possible.
- 18:42I don't have a job yet, good news, pray. Use
- 18:47that time to pray while you are waiting. The Bible says,
- 18:50watch and pray. There is a devil who has found that.
- 18:54Speaker 2: You will not rise. He says, say on to God,
- 18:57how terrible are that?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Whend I walk some sixty six and stree through the
- 19:01greatness of thy power shall die. Enemies so meets themselves
- 19:06to you. You want to tame life, you must master
- 19:10the out of prayer. Mommy, don't watch your children become
- 19:15umbrobers and hooligans and says just the times is their days.
- 19:19Don't let them send you to the grave. No, you
- 19:23may not have the strength to find them because they
- 19:25are now bigger than you. But you can bring them
- 19:27to their knees to prayer. Father, I will not My
- 19:32womb will not give back to an umbrober. No, my
- 19:35womb will not give bad to a prostitute. I cannot
- 19:38give back to a child that will be the reason
- 19:40for me to die early.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Allelujah.
- 19:46Speaker 1: When ministries not working, Man of God, pray, don't complain.
- 19:50Speaker 2: There is no reward for complaining. Pray, pray.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Someone looks at you in the place of work and
- 19:57justseys I hate you. You are supposed to be the
- 19:59next director. What I hate you? You are not my tribe,
- 20:02you are not this, and you in there will only
- 20:05you be recording calamity upon calamity.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Leave them in peace.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Go back to the central control room of the universe
- 20:12and begin to pray.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Certain things.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Do you believe what you're hearing. Then, in addition to prayer,
- 20:24you must be sound.
- 20:26Speaker 2: In scripture.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Now, let me submit to you. Haven't encourage you to pray.
- 20:31Prayer in ignorance is just wasting your energy. What gives
- 20:35power to prayer is the word compliancy of your prayer.
- 20:40This we have a generation of prayer for people, but
- 20:44most people pray amiss. What gives power to your prayer
- 20:50is its word compliancy. Beyond the sound of your voice,
- 20:55beyond your sweating and rolling from left to right. If
- 20:58there is no word co pliancy to your prayer, you
- 21:02simply decipated energy.
- 21:04Speaker 2: In futility.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Are we together? You must be sounding. Scripture A, chapter
- 21:12twenty and verse thirty two, it says, and now, brethren,
- 21:15I commend you onto God and to the world of
- 21:19His grace, which is able to build you up, he says,
- 21:23and to give you an inheritance among them that are sanctified.
- 21:32Speaker 2: John one one to three.
- 21:34Speaker 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the word was
- 21:36with God, and the word was God. The Bible says
- 21:39the same was in the beginning with God. Verse three
- 21:43says all things were made by Him, the world, all things,
- 21:48including your tomorrow made by the Word, and without him
- 21:53was not anything made that was made. The bound of
- 22:00God's commitment to the believer is his word. God cannot
- 22:04be committed to the believer outside of.
- 22:07Speaker 2: The boundary of his world. Please listen, beloved people of God.
- 22:11Speaker 1: God only does what he says, not what you want.
- 22:15If what you want is consistent with what he says,
- 22:18then it will be done. God never never does anything
- 22:24that is outside of what he has said. Please give
- 22:26us Genesis twenty one and verse one. I want us
- 22:29to shout, it's God helping someone's spiritually minded. But discausing
- 22:35the case now, because rest roundabout is not a gift.
- 22:40Jesus said, I will give you rest. The word give
- 22:43you there does not mean you will not do anything,
- 22:45and you would just have it because you will be
- 22:47learning that. Paul was giving perspective to our understanding of rest.
- 22:51He said, theary minute a rest for the people of God.
- 22:56Genesis twenty one and verse one. You see that it's
- 22:59good to come to church. The Church of the Lord
- 23:02Jesus Christ is the cheapest institution. The sponsors transformation. You
- 23:08don't have to write jams. There is no age restriction. Allelujah.
- 23:12All other institutions have quotas. Once the quota is full,
- 23:16Sorry for you, but the church, all you need to
- 23:18do is leave your house and come and sit down.
- 23:21You're not paying schoolfe is Your school. Fe is is
- 23:23your humility and your meekness and your diligence. This is
- 23:29important so that government will know that the church is
- 23:33not a nuisance to civilization. The church is an active
- 23:38part of the transforming force of society.
- 23:42Speaker 2: It is true, how did I get here?
- 23:47Speaker 1: Genesis twenty one, verse one, Please let's read it together.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Ready, one to read.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And the Lord visited Sarah as he has said. And
- 23:57the Lord did onto Sarah. He did not visit Sarah
- 24:04as she wanted. No, the visitation was not based on
- 24:08her need. It was based on his word. The Lord
- 24:11visited Joshua Selman as he has said. If you cannot
- 24:15find what God has said, you will never find what
- 24:18he can do.
- 24:19Speaker 2: It is what he.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Has said that you will do. Show me what God
- 24:24has said, and I show you what he can do.
- 24:27Show me what God has said, and I show you
- 24:29what you will do. Did God say he will heal you?
- 24:32Then I show you that is power can heal you?
- 24:35Did God say you will lift you up. Then I
- 24:37show you that no power can keep you down? Did
- 24:40God say he can give you rest?
- 24:42Speaker 2: Roundabout?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Where is that spirit that W want to tell you?
- 24:46When God has said.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Allelujah?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Genesis chapter one, verse three, the first three words, and
- 24:56God said, and God say, Cali couple's theater, And God say,
- 25:08when you find what God has said, then you find
- 25:12what his power can do, the limit of God's power
- 25:17is where his word stops. And since his word is unlimited,
- 25:21it is true that his power is unlimited.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I will learn it. Be spiritually minded.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Let me give you the last I have a few minutes,
- 25:32and I intend to take a part of it, so
- 25:34that will pray. So the decision to be spiritually minded
- 25:42becomes for us the first key to experiencing rest on
- 25:47every side.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And I'm now explaining to.
- 25:50Speaker 1: You the implication of being spiritually minded that number one,
- 25:54it necessitates and encounter.
- 25:56Speaker 2: With Jesus, the Son of the Living God.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Number two, that your prayer life has to be alive
- 26:01and robust. Number three, your spiritual understanding needs to be
- 26:06heightened because according to Isaiah chapter sixty and verse one,
- 26:10it says, you will only arise and you will shine
- 26:13if and when your life comes, longevity of your stay
- 26:17that's not equal to victory. The man was at the
- 26:21pool of Bethesda for thirty eight years.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Time did not change his situation.
- 26:27Speaker 1: The day the light of the world came to him,
- 26:30he was ready to rise. The Bible says, but the
- 26:33people that sat in darkness have seen a great light.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Is God's speaking to us.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Let me challenge you, therefore, by the messages of God,
- 26:41that in the course of this convention, go and find
- 26:45relevant materials, materials that speak to the various issues of concern,
- 26:51whether electronically or by way of print. It is your
- 26:56responsibility under God to pursue truth.
- 26:59Speaker 2: The Bible says, by the truth, there.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Are certain currencies we used to buy the truth number one, hunger,
- 27:07number two, meekness, number three, passion. These are the currencies
- 27:12that we used to buy the truth. And the Bible says,
- 27:15if you do find the truth, it is a send
- 27:17it not allelujah, is someone learning. Many believers work based
- 27:25on superstitious ideas, And with all due respect, it is
- 27:29this bankruptcy of light that has impoverished us as a
- 27:33people and as a continent.
- 27:36Speaker 2: We have all.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Kinds of white sayings that are not based on scripture.
- 27:40Speaker 2: One day, go better? No sir, no, sir, no, sir.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You define your lot by light?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Are we together amplified?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Isaiah sixty and verse one says, arise from the depression
- 27:55and the prostration that circumstances have kept you, rise new life.
- 28:04When I found out that the responsibility of understanding was mine,
- 28:09I found before God that there will be no excuse.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I hate ignorance with passion, and I.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Am ever open to know the areas where I am
- 28:19ignorant in How do you know your areas of ignorance?
- 28:22The areas where darkness drives, the area where pain exists,
- 28:27The area where suffering and pain perpetually remains is the
- 28:32area of darkness. Such for the relevant materials. If it's
- 28:38your finances, don't keep quiet and say my uncle has
- 28:42the power to lift me, but it's not attending to me.
- 28:45Speaker 2: No.
- 28:48Speaker 1: The word responsible comes from the word responsive. Responsible people
- 28:53are people of action. They don't sit down and wait
- 28:56for things to happen. Why is my finance like this?
- 29:00Why am I always fighting with my husband? This marriage
- 29:04is not a curse. Why are my children stop one
- 29:07not obeying me? Why does everybody hate me? It is
- 29:14not unusual to be hated. But if everybody hates you,
- 29:18something is wrong with you. Because even Satan it's not
- 29:22everybody that hates him, Allelujah, there are people who love him.
- 29:27So if everybody around you hates you, it's not just
- 29:31a spiritual problem. You are perpetually violating something. Somebody should
- 29:36like you enough, and all you need is for one person,
- 29:39and if that person is King Ahazarus, you become the
- 29:42queen immediately. It didn't matter how many people hate that esther.
- 29:50The right person who needed to love her made her queen.
- 29:53It didn't matter how many people hate that. In Ahbayah,
- 29:56when the king loved him as a compiera, he got favor.
- 30:00Who hates you does not matter, but who likes you
- 30:02in this kingdom. I'm praying for someone, the grace that
- 30:06must rest upon you and cause men to find faivor
- 30:09with men. In the name of Jesus made that prace
- 30:12come upon you now, Allelujah. I think I'll give one
- 30:20more than we'll pray. I'll finish up the remaining tomorrow.
- 30:23Is that a good deal? So I've given you number one,
- 30:27the decision to be spiritually minded. Let's do number two.
- 30:31What is the second key to experiencing rest on every side.
- 30:35You must leave by faith. You must leave by faith
- 30:46Hulbakuk Chapter two and verse four. You also find that
- 30:50in Hebrews ten and verse thirty eight, the just shall
- 30:54leave by faith. Four times in scripture, the Bible repeats
- 30:59it almost ferber team that the just shall leave by faith.
- 31:05The just shall leave by faith. First John, chapter five
- 31:10and verse four. First John chapter five and verse four.
- 31:14First John Chapter five and verse four. For whatsoever is
- 31:20born of God, that includes Joshua Selman, whatsoever is born
- 31:24of God over commet the world. And it says, this
- 31:28is the victory that overcomeed the world. Help me even
- 31:33our faith. The man who has faith is an overcomer.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Indeed.
- 31:40Speaker 1: And in one word, ladies and gentlemen, faith is obedience.
- 31:45Speaker 2: In one word, faith is obedience.
- 31:48Speaker 1: No matter your definition of faith, if it does not
- 31:52capture obedience, you did not define it.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Well. Let me give you two definitions for faith if
- 31:57you don't mind.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Number one, faith is the confidence you have, the depth
- 32:04of conviction that you have about God and the.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Integrity of his word.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Number one, faith is defined as your confidence, your conviction
- 32:18about God and the integrity of his word, the confidence
- 32:30and the conviction you have about God and the integrity
- 32:33of His word. Second definition, please, Faith is the name
- 32:38given to the action.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Of obedience you take.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Faith is the name given to the action of obedience
- 32:47you take as proof that you believe.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Faith is the.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Name given to the action of obedience you take as
- 32:58proof that you believe.
- 33:03Speaker 2: The proof of hearing is accurate response if you.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Have heard me, I know you have heard me, because
- 33:10you would respond accordingly.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Are we together?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Faith is defined is the name given to the action
- 33:19that you take as proof that you believe God. If
- 33:23it be down, bid me come, And he said come.
- 33:31Most believers do not know how to live by faith.
- 33:34Faith is beyond confessing the Word, as important as that is.
- 33:39Faith is beyond agreeing with God, as important as that is.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Those are just various equations.
- 33:45Speaker 1: That ultimately lead to faith. The foundations for Bible. Faith
- 33:50is an awareness of the promises of God. The Bible
- 33:55essentially is a concise capture of promises, principles.
- 34:01Speaker 2: And prophecies.
- 34:02Speaker 1: You may want to write that down that every time
- 34:04you open your Bible.
- 34:06Speaker 2: You are relating with three realms of realities.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Number one promises a definition of God's commitment to you,
- 34:14scattered from Genesis to Revelation promises. Number two principles, the
- 34:19modus operandi of the Kingdom teaches you how to live
- 34:23a victorious life. Then number three prophecies that give perspective
- 34:30and definition to the events present and the events past,
- 34:34and events that are yet to happen. So every time
- 34:40you lay hold on God's promises, then you obtain grace
- 34:44to obey.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Until you know the.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Demands to commit God and then obey them, you are
- 34:52not working by faith. Let me repeat myself again for
- 34:55your understanding. Until you know the demands connected to every result.
- 35:02Speaker 2: The Word of God and God.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Is a compendium of infinite possibilities. But for every result
- 35:08you desire in the Kingdom, healing, breakthrough, prosperity.
- 35:13Speaker 2: There is a demand.
- 35:17Speaker 1: There is always what God says to do to commit him.
- 35:21When you find it, and you obtain grace to work
- 35:25in keeping with that instruction, then you are working by faith.
- 35:29I submit to you therefore that on the strength of
- 35:31this definition, many believers are not working by faith. They
- 35:35are working on sincere assumptions. They're working on hope. They're
- 35:41speaking Lord, I believe you, But they are not working
- 35:44by faith. If I ask one of our wonderful protocol
- 35:48people here, if I ask them to come and say,
- 35:51collect my bible. Whoever comes to collect my Bible, I
- 35:55tell them there is one hundred dollars bill insight.
- 35:57Speaker 2: That's your reward for obedience.
- 35:59Speaker 1: If the gentlemen there starts jumping and says, I'm coming,
- 36:02believe me, Joshua sermon, I trust you.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I know you are not a liar. It is it
- 36:06on you.
- 36:06Speaker 1: The other day you get all that talk. Does not
- 36:09you will never get it as wonderful as that is.
- 36:12The instruction is, whoever can take the risk can come
- 36:17someone who begin to speak from nineteen nineteen nineteen. Today
- 36:20nothing happens, and another person in one day will get
- 36:24up and obey.
- 36:25Speaker 2: The one who.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Obeys is the one who receives, not the one who knows.
- 36:32The Bible says, now that ye know these things, happy
- 36:35are you if you do them?
- 36:37Speaker 2: The Tounomy chapter twenty eight, from verse one and two.
- 36:40Speaker 1: And it shall come to pass. The Bible says, if
- 36:42thou shall diligently happen.
- 36:44Speaker 2: To the voice of the Lord that God.
- 36:46Speaker 1: To do and to observe, to do, and to observe,
- 36:50to do, and to observe. To do and to observe.
- 36:53That is the character of faith. To do and to
- 36:56observe all that I command you. This day, the Lord,
- 37:00the Lord your God, will sets tea on high. Are
- 37:03both all the nations of the eath verse two. And
- 37:06all these blessings will come upon you and will overtake you.
- 37:13Speaker 2: You hackn to the voice of the Lord.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Then you observe, and you do in the name of Jesus,
- 37:19the grace to do may be released upon you. The
- 37:23first miracle that was performed by Jesus was the turning
- 37:26of water to wine in Cana of Galilee. You find
- 37:30that in John chapter two. The Bible lets us know
- 37:33that it was a feast just like this, and wine
- 37:36had finished, and shame was already imminent. And the Bible
- 37:40tells us that the disciples came and met Mary, the
- 37:42mother of Jesus. She takes them to Jesus and says,
- 37:45Jesus says, no, no, it's not yet my time, and.
- 37:48Speaker 2: She gives them a very profound instruction. In verse five.
- 37:51She says, whatever he says to do, do it.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Whatever he says to do.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Not think it, not wish it, not assume it, do it.
- 38:05Speaker 1: The moment doing came, the willingness to do came. Jesus
- 38:10gave an instruction, And when you read verse ten and eleven,
- 38:13the Bible tells us this beginning of miracles did Jesus
- 38:18in cana of Galilee verse eleven, and manifested his glory,
- 38:24and the disciples believed on him. Rest roundabout you now
- 38:33say that it's not just a gift. It is a
- 38:36reward for working and keeping with certain principles. Let me
- 38:40recap one last time, and we pray that the key
- 38:44to exerting dominion over situations and circumstances, commanding your portion
- 38:50of rest on every side is number one.
- 38:54Speaker 2: To be spiritually minded.
- 38:56Speaker 1: That starts with your encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 39:00your salvation of experience. Then it translates to the health
- 39:04of your prayer life, the health of your word study extent,
- 39:09so all that spiritual exercise is fasting, and so on
- 39:13and so forth and dead. Number two, you must learn
- 39:18to live by faith. To live by faith means to
- 39:21live by the word of God. For Jesus himself said
- 39:24man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
- 39:27word that proceeded from the mouth of God. That means
- 39:31a believer leaves on two things, bread and scriptural instructions.
- 39:36If you live on bread alone, you will be wary.
- 39:39Your bread will be spent. It is bread and scriptural instructions.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Allelujah.
