- 0:00Speaker 1: Look at this one or two point seven. It's Kiss FM.
- 0:03Speaker 1: The legend that is Kristin Bell. My gosh, Hi, Kristin Hi.
- 0:12Speaker 2: What an intro?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Well, listen, you deserve the intro. How are you?
- 0:17Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know about that. I'm great,
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm absolutely great. How are you?
- 0:22Speaker 1: We're good? I mean looking forward to you are hosting
- 0:25Speaker 1: what is a thirty second annual Actor Awards presented by
- 0:28Speaker 1: SAG and after that's coming up over the weekend, it's
- 0:31Speaker 1: going to be on Netflix. So how does want like
- 0:33Speaker 1: do you? How do you feel looking into the weekend
- 0:36Speaker 1: about this role?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Again, let me tell you something, I am in an
- 0:39Speaker 2: absolute creative vortex right now. I'm pretty much ignoring all
- 0:45Speaker 2: of my of every other duty in my life because
- 0:48Speaker 2: you know, this will be the third time I've done it,
- 0:50Speaker 2: And honestly, my perspective on it is that I am
- 0:54Speaker 2: given an opportunity to entertain all these people that I
- 0:57Speaker 2: respect for an hour, like all these even and everyone
- 1:01Speaker 2: watching because now it's air and globally so you can
- 1:03Speaker 2: watch it sort of anywhere in the world. And you know,
- 1:06Speaker 2: the the previously called the SAG Awards now called the
- 1:10Speaker 2: Actor Awards It's always been kind of a joyful room
- 1:13Speaker 2: because it's really like people that are all on the
- 1:15Speaker 2: same team, and it's sort of the closest thing to
- 1:18Speaker 2: voting in your high school yearbook that you get in Hollywood.
- 1:22Speaker 2: But to be honest, like, I'm not, I don't. It's
- 1:25Speaker 2: not my vibe to be a host that roasts like
- 1:29Speaker 2: that's not my vibe at all. I just look at
- 1:31Speaker 2: it like this is going to be my one woman show.
- 1:35Speaker 1: That's exciting. Yeah, I think that that is. I mean,
- 1:38Speaker 1: just looking down though the people you respect is going
- 1:40Speaker 1: to be a moment too, right. You get to see
- 1:43Speaker 1: everybody that you love and that you admire as well.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And so Kristen, now is it true that you turn
- 1:51Speaker 1: off your phone every day at five pm? You do? Yeah?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Well, yes, I mean I don't. I won't. Well, let's
- 1:59Speaker 2: be honest, it's not off. It's not completely off. But
- 2:02Speaker 2: I'll tell you where it is round five or six.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It's in another room. And that's just because you know, whatever,
- 2:08Speaker 2: personal growth, trying to be present, raising kids, all of
- 2:12Speaker 2: these intersections in my life have taught me that I
- 2:16Speaker 2: need to create friction against the things that I have
- 2:21Speaker 2: impulsive instincts to do, like pick up my phone and
- 2:25Speaker 2: make the things that I want in my life like
- 2:28Speaker 2: that my narrative self really wants to have, like cooking
- 2:31Speaker 2: a nice dinner. Make those things easier. So I'll do
- 2:34Speaker 2: things like try to make a grocery list in advance
- 2:37Speaker 2: for the whole week. And then when I get home
- 2:39Speaker 2: at night, I put my phone like upstairs, so minimally
- 2:41Speaker 2: if I need to check it or I want to
- 2:44Speaker 2: check it, because we really don't need to check it
- 2:46Speaker 2: right right, I'll have to run upstairs to do it
- 2:49Speaker 2: and exit whatever conversation. I mean, even that little amount
- 2:53Speaker 2: of friction has made so much more peace in my brain,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and it keeps me present. And now I come home
- 2:58Speaker 2: and instead of like picking up my phone every five seconds,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm like playing Remmy Cube with my kids and making
- 3:04Speaker 2: a lasagna and like living the life I actually want
- 3:06Speaker 2: to live. I love that.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Okay, well, I'm going to try that Disney to bother
- 3:12Speaker 1: me or expect to response after five o'clock because I
- 3:15Speaker 1: love it so much.
- 3:17Speaker 2: It's soy. Can I tell you something, I felt like
- 3:19Speaker 2: my creativity has gone up. Ryan, You're going to start
- 3:23Speaker 2: like you your creativity is gonna blossom because you've never
- 3:26Speaker 2: really done much and you really could hit something amazing.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah, this could be your big moment. My break is
- 3:34Speaker 1: gonna happen, Becau, I'm gonna put my phone down. You
- 3:36Speaker 1: better watch yourselves because I'm going to be so creative,
- 3:38Speaker 1: blossoming with creativity. You're not going to know what's happened
- 3:41Speaker 1: to this show. Oh my gosh. We adore you, and
- 3:45Speaker 1: thank you and good luck on Sunday The thirty second
- 3:48Speaker 1: Annual Actor Awards presented by a Sagon After on Sunday

- 3:59Speaker 1: can do it. Five o'clock phones out. I love that.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm going to treating friction.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's such a great way to put it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So now you can't get mad if you guys text
- 4:07Speaker 1: me or call me and I don't pick up. Sorry,
