- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherri Mackey, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:06Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:10Speaker 1: so often we're pouring out, pouring out, pouring out, and
- 0:13Speaker 1: we need God to restore us from what we poured out.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come
- 0:20Speaker 1: before you today asking for restoration. Lord, restore the places
- 0:24Speaker 1: in us that have become empty from constantly pouring into others.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Restore our strength, God. Restore our joy. Restore our peace.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Restore our hope. God, restore even our desire to keep going. Father,
- 0:36Speaker 1: some of us have spent so much time encouraging everybody
- 0:40Speaker 1: else that we haven't taken the time to acknowledge our
- 0:42Speaker 1: own weariness. And we've been strong enough. We've been the
- 0:47Speaker 1: strong one for everybody else, the dependable one, the prayer warrior,
- 0:50Speaker 1: the listening ear and the shoulder everybody leans on. We
- 0:54Speaker 1: celebrated others through their victories and carried them through their valleys.
- 0:58Speaker 1: But Lord, sometimes we need somebody to pour into us.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And today, Father, we admit that we need replenishing. Your
- 1:06Speaker 1: word declares in Acts 319 that... Times of refreshing come
- 1:11Speaker 1: from the presence of the Lord. So, Father, refresh us.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Breathe fresh life into our weary spirits. Renew our minds, God.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Restore our passion. Reignite our faith. Remind us that we
- 1:22Speaker 1: can't continually pour from an empty vessel and expect to
- 1:26Speaker 1: remain whole. Lord, teach us that receiving is not weakness
- 1:30Speaker 1: and needing help does not mean we have failed. Give
- 1:33Speaker 1: us the humility, God, to admit when we're tired, encouraged
- 1:37Speaker 1: to ask for support, the discernment to recognize the people
- 1:41Speaker 1: you've assigned to encourage, strengthen, and pour into us. Send
- 1:44Speaker 1: us people who will pray for us when we don't
- 1:47Speaker 1: have the strength, God, to pray for ourselves. Send us
- 1:50Speaker 1: people who will speak life when our hearts are discouraged.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Remind us, God, of our worth when we've forgotten it
- 1:56Speaker 1: and offer genuine love without expecting us to always be
- 2:00Speaker 1: the strong one. And Father, help us recognize that sometimes
- 2:04Speaker 1: the blessing we're praying for comes through another person's hands,
- 2:08Speaker 1: another person's words, another person's willingness to simply show up. Lord,
- 2:13Speaker 1: restore what's been depleted by disappointment, drained by difficult relationships,
- 2:18Speaker 1: weakened by grief, and exhausted, God, by responsibility. Restore the
- 2:23Speaker 1: joy that sorrow tried to steal. Restore the confidence that
- 2:27Speaker 1: rejection tried to destroy. Restore the peace that worry has disturbed.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And God... Restore the hope that has been battered by
- 2:37Speaker 1: unanswered prayers. Your word declares in Joel 2.25 that you
- 2:41Speaker 1: will restore the years that have been lost. Father, we
- 2:43Speaker 1: trust you with everything that's been broken, delayed, diminished, or
- 2:47Speaker 1: poured out. Help us, God, establish healthy boundaries so that
- 2:52Speaker 1: we can serve others without abandoning ourselves. Teach us, God,
- 2:56Speaker 1: to rest without guilt, receive without shame, and recognize when
- 3:00Speaker 1: we need to step away and sit, God, in your presence. Lord,
- 3:04Speaker 1: refill us until we have something healthy and life-giving to
- 3:07Speaker 1: pour out again. Oh, God, let us never be so
- 3:10Speaker 1: busy being a blessing to everybody else that we refuse
- 3:14Speaker 1: to receive the blessing you have for us. God, we
- 3:17Speaker 1: declare that emptiness is not our final condition. Exhaustion is
- 3:22Speaker 1: not our permanent identity. By your grace, we can be renewed, replenished, restored,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and strengthened again. In the mighty name of Jesus, we
- 3:30Speaker 1: pray amen, amen, and amen.
