- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Well, we start
- 0:06Speaker 1: the hour off, and I want to start off by
- 0:08Speaker 1: talking about our friends over at Stadium GM in Artis Salem.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And I talk about them because, as a customer, people
- 0:16Speaker 1: talk about car dealerships on radio. Well, I'm talking about
- 0:19Speaker 1: Stadium GM because it's an easy thing for me to
- 0:22Speaker 1: talk about because I'm a customer of Stadium GM. So
- 0:26Speaker 1: talk is cheap, deeds are precious. It's where we bought
- 0:29Speaker 1: my daughter's cruise, my wife's cruise, and it's where we
- 0:32Speaker 1: bought my wife's Equinox at Stadium GM in Artis, Salem.
- 0:36Speaker 1: The things that I think that you'll find different with
- 0:38Speaker 1: Stadium GM is it's not part of some huge conglomerate
- 0:44Speaker 1: that wants to buy up all the dealerships, makes, and models.
- 0:47Speaker 1: It's nothing like that. It's one dealership that carries all
- 0:51Speaker 1: the General Motors nameplates that you could be looking for.
- 0:55Speaker 1: One dealership, locally owned and operated, not part of some
- 0:59Speaker 1: big conglomerate where you get lost, that appreciates your business,
- 1:02Speaker 1: wants to keep your business, and earn the rest of
- 1:05Speaker 1: your family's business. That's the philosophy that Shorty Navarro started
- 1:08Speaker 1: with at Stadium GM, and that's the philosophy that continues on.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Mike Hudak running the operation down there, and he does
- 1:14Speaker 1: a terrific job doing that. Great service departments. Looking for Cadillac,
- 1:18Speaker 1: they have it. Looking for Buick, GMC. Silverado, Chevrolet, all
- 1:24Speaker 1: of it's under one roof at Stadium GM. Whether you're
- 1:27Speaker 1: leasing or buying, you'll find what you're looking for. And
- 1:30Speaker 1: by the way, when it comes to used cars, trucks, SUVs,
- 1:34Speaker 1: visit the website stadiumgm.com, Carfax Reports, competitive pricing. I think
- 1:39Speaker 1: you'll like the way they treat you as we appreciate
- 1:42Speaker 1: the way they treated us at Stadium GM in the
- 1:46Speaker 1: heart of Salem. Be part of this family-owned dealership at
- 1:51Speaker 1: Stadium GM Not part of some big conglomerates.
- 1:55Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So anyway, back to where we were talking here. So anyway,
- 2:02Speaker 1: the whole COVID situation. As I was saying to you,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't think you're going to see anybody pay a
- 2:08Speaker 1: price for any of the misdeeds that they've done. The
- 2:10Speaker 1: Russian hoax, Fauci, Epstein. I just think the Republicans are
- 2:15Speaker 1: all talk and no action. And there's just zero accountability
- 2:19Speaker 1: for any of this kind of stuff, period. Now, with
- 2:23Speaker 1: that being said, then you told me on the last
- 2:26Speaker 1: time you spoke, you said you voted for Trump every time,
- 2:31Speaker 1: but you're frustrated with Trump?
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm frustrated with Trump and the Republican Party. I'm considering
- 2:38Speaker 3: myself an independent right now. But after, I don't know
- 2:42Speaker 3: if you caught, I think it was Meet the Press
- 2:45Speaker 3: or Face the Nation, they had AOC was on for
- 2:47Speaker 3: an interview.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I mean, there's no way you could have. I've talked
- 2:51Speaker 1: to you too many years here on the radio. There's
- 2:53Speaker 1: no way you'd ever vote for anyone. You'd never vote
- 2:57Speaker 1: for a Democrat.
- 2:58Speaker 3: No, that's the alternative. You can't vote for a Democrat.
- 3:01Speaker 3: They're calling themselves, like Bernie Sanders, socialists, but that's just
- 3:06Speaker 3: a nice word for communists. And they're gaining a lot
- 3:10Speaker 3: of momentum. That DSA party and the Democratic Party, the
- 3:15Speaker 3: left wing, is gaining so much momentum.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Why do you think that is?
- 3:20Speaker 3: A lot of young people and college-educated people and a
- 3:25Speaker 3: lot of females that are gravitating towards that, their views...
- 3:31Speaker 3: and the garbage that they're spewing. And that's what Senator
- 3:36Speaker 3: Johnson said today on Clay and Buck. He said, the
- 3:39Speaker 3: sad thing is, is the media will never let you
- 3:43Speaker 3: know what the truth is, what's really going on, and
- 3:46Speaker 3: getting back to that COVID real fast. His Senate subcommittee,
- 3:52Speaker 3: he's chairing it. They've come up with the statistics that 80%
- 3:59Speaker 3: increase in miscarriages is This is after they started pushing
- 4:02Speaker 3: the vaccinations on the pregnant women. And now we're finding
- 4:09Speaker 3: you've got turbo cancers in young adolescents, colon cancer. It's advanced.
- 4:16Speaker 3: People have never seen this before, and they're thinking that's
- 4:20Speaker 3: the result of the COVID vaccination. And then going down
- 4:23Speaker 3: the line, the lesser effects like the clots, sudden death,
- 4:27Speaker 3: the myocarditis.
- 4:29Speaker 4: But..
- 4:31Speaker 3: His frustration is the media will never let this out.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And the Republican Party is, I guess, going along with
- 4:39Speaker 3: the media. But that being said, I will never vote
- 4:42Speaker 3: for a communist.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Why do you suppose so many young people are voting
- 4:47Speaker 1: for that nonsense?
- 4:50Speaker 3: They're hearing this affordability issue and They're hearing, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 3: that the pie in the sky, everything is going to
- 4:58Speaker 3: be free. You know, like Mondami in New York, he's
- 5:01Speaker 3: going to have the city-run grocery stores where he's going
- 5:05Speaker 3: to set the prices, and it's going to be great
- 5:08Speaker 3: for everybody. They tell you, you know, they promise you everything,
- 5:12Speaker 3: and then you end up getting delivered garbage. But I
- 5:16Speaker 3: got a kick out of it. I saw where, who
- 5:19Speaker 3: is the actor that's moving out of New York? that
- 5:24Speaker 3: always played the lobsters. He played in Taxi. Oh, God,
- 5:29Speaker 3: I can't think of his name right now. But he
- 5:32Speaker 3: said he's leaving New York because of the tax structure
- 5:34Speaker 3: that Mondami is putting in. But it's going to be
- 5:41Speaker 3: interesting to see if you get more of these DSA
- 5:44Speaker 3: people like that Korean in Wisconsin, Chow, that'll be coming
- 5:51Speaker 3: up for the governor's election. where she wants to do
- 5:55Speaker 3: away with the police, do away with prisons, not to mention, well,
- 6:00Speaker 3: I told you last week, the one good idea I like,
- 6:02Speaker 3: she wanted to do away with Thanksgiving, along with a
- 6:05Speaker 3: lot of the other holidays.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I know, but I mean, that's ridiculous. I mean, the
- 6:10Speaker 1: fact that people are voting for these people is absolutely
- 6:14Speaker 1: beyond me. And there's some things that I would sit
- 6:17Speaker 1: back and take a look at. For example, when we
- 6:21Speaker 1: hear this about housing, let me just– I was reading
- 6:24Speaker 1: about housing today, family housing. And– There's a couple of
- 6:31Speaker 1: things when they talk affordability and the prices going up
- 6:34Speaker 1: and that kind of stuff. You know what they were
- 6:36Speaker 1: talking about when I was reading it today? You're at
- 6:40Speaker 1: the beginnings of the baby boomer generation dying off. That
- 6:44Speaker 1: this idea of a housing shortage is going to go
- 6:47Speaker 1: away very quickly because of all the houses of the
- 6:49Speaker 1: baby boomers as they die off. Are you following what
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm saying? Basically, they're saying that the housing crisis that
- 7:01Speaker 1: we keep hearing about and how prices keep escalating, that
- 7:05Speaker 1: they're now talking about, no, housing prices are going to
- 7:08Speaker 1: come down because there's going to be a glut of
- 7:10Speaker 1: houses because the baby boomer generation is now dying off.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And that houses will not be as expensive. And so
- 7:18Speaker 1: you'll be able to buy them. They'll be more affordable
- 7:20Speaker 1: because there'll be more of them on the markets. And
- 7:23Speaker 1: as a result of the baby boomers passing away, which
- 7:28Speaker 1: is just basically now starting to happen. So they're saying
- 7:33Speaker 1: when they're saying the average age of somebody to buy
- 7:35Speaker 1: a home now is 40. Okay, that might be the case.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And let's say it drops down to 35 or whatever. Well,
- 7:43Speaker 1: by the time you reach that age, there's going to
- 7:45Speaker 1: be a glut of houses on the market available, and
- 7:48Speaker 1: you'll probably be able to get a pretty good deal.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The marketplace actually works, supply and demand.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I buy that. I know a lot of people that have,
- 7:57Speaker 3: I have relatives that have sold their homes and moved
- 8:01Speaker 3: closer to their grandchildren out of state like Chicago and
- 8:05Speaker 3: But they've gone from a house to a condo. So
- 8:07Speaker 3: that house is on the market. And there's a lot
- 8:11Speaker 3: of baby boomers.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Right now, people, you can sell it and you can
- 8:14Speaker 1: get top dollar for it. But they're saying just give
- 8:18Speaker 1: it time because you can't take any of this stuff
- 8:21Speaker 1: with you. And as you die, in most cases, I
- 8:26Speaker 1: think they were saying 75% of cases, the children sell
- 8:30Speaker 1: the family house. In 75 percent, 25 percent of the cases,
- 8:35Speaker 1: the kids take it over and move into it. It
- 8:38Speaker 1: wouldn't surprise me if that number increases because of just
- 8:43Speaker 1: the economic type situation. And there's nothing wrong with that.
- 8:47Speaker 1: But they even are saying if that's the case, if
- 8:50Speaker 1: 50 percent of the houses go for sale because baby
- 8:52Speaker 1: boomers tonight. My point is these people that think socialism
- 8:56Speaker 1: is the answer to everything. I don't think they understand
- 9:00Speaker 1: how capitalism has– they always say how easy it was
- 9:04Speaker 1: for my father's generation or for the baby boomer generation.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And I always– I thought about that and I came
- 9:09Speaker 1: back and I thought– For my father's generation, he was
- 9:13Speaker 1: in World War II, and I remember how happy my
- 9:15Speaker 1: mother was that he came home. You follow me? I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: this idea that everything was just great. Well, it wasn't
- 9:21Speaker 1: so great for my father's generation with World War II
- 9:26Speaker 1: and part of the baby boomer generation. It wasn't so
- 9:28Speaker 1: great for my older brother's part of the baby boomer
- 9:31Speaker 1: generation when you either got– there wasn't a volunteer. You
- 9:36Speaker 1: could still volunteer for the military, but you were drafted
- 9:38Speaker 1: into the military.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well, ask them how great it was in a baby
- 9:41Speaker 1: boomer generation when you would sit there on television watching
- 9:45Speaker 1: them pull the draft numbers. I remember sitting here with
- 9:47Speaker 1: my dad watching the draft numbers get drawn and how
- 9:51Speaker 1: many of those young men had to go and die
- 9:54Speaker 1: or suffer consequences of Agent Orange or go over to Vietnam.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Tell them how easy they had it. You follow what
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm saying?
- 10:03Speaker 3: I remember the draft numbers being drawn, my brother and I,
- 10:07Speaker 3: and I pulled a 331 number and his number was 46.
- 10:12Speaker 3: So he ended up in the Marines and I got the,
- 10:15Speaker 3: I forget what the classification was with that high number.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Right, but I mean, this idea that, oh, those generations
- 10:22Speaker 1: had it so much better, so much easier. Well, guess what?
- 10:26Speaker 1: It wasn't easy for my dad. He's lucky he lived.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And it wasn't you get into my older brother's time
- 10:33Speaker 1: of baby boomers. It wasn't easy for them because of
- 10:35Speaker 1: the draft in Vietnam. So this idea that it was
- 10:38Speaker 1: always so much better. Hey, right now, my argument would
- 10:42Speaker 1: be if you're if you're here today, I make this argument.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You're not worried about getting drafted. You're not worried about
- 10:51Speaker 1: any of that stuff because we have a volunteer service.
- 10:54Speaker 1: But you'll testify to this. When I was a young man,
- 10:57Speaker 1: it was damn difficult to get into the post office.
- 11:01Speaker 1: It was difficult to get on a fire department, the
- 11:03Speaker 1: police department, get into General Motors, or get into any
- 11:06Speaker 1: of the trades.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Almost impossible to get a civil service job.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Almost impossible and damn hard to get into any of
- 11:14Speaker 1: the trades. Today, the young generation today, they're begging for
- 11:19Speaker 1: people in all of these professions. They're begging for state
- 11:23Speaker 1: highway patrolmen. They're begging for people to get into the
- 11:25Speaker 1: trades and this kind of stuff. And those opportunities did
- 11:29Speaker 1: not exist when I was a young man. And so
- 11:34Speaker 1: this idea that it was so much better for my generation,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I would argue against that. I don't think it was
- 11:41Speaker 1: necessarily better. I think these are some of the best
- 11:44Speaker 1: times that you could have as far as careers. That
- 11:50Speaker 1: would be my arguments on the whole scope of things.
- 11:53Speaker 3: And standard of living has gone way, way up.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Right, because of capitalism, though.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Would you not? I mean, capitalism is– but if you're
- 12:01Speaker 1: not willing to put the effort forth, then– and I'm
- 12:05Speaker 1: not saying you can put effort forth and it still
- 12:08Speaker 1: doesn't pay off, but it depends what your expectations are.
- 12:11Speaker 1: When I look at my father's house, well, my home's
- 12:14Speaker 1: bigger than his home, square foot-wise, and more modern technology
- 12:18Speaker 1: involved in it. so we've kind of advanced from the.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah and you have central air and all the comforts
- 12:26Speaker 3: that right your father didn't have cable tv and correct everything.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Else exactly a bigger square footage and all that kind
- 12:34Speaker 1: of stuff so isn't that isn't that as a result
- 12:39Speaker 1: of capitalism i i mean i i don't understand the
- 12:43Speaker 1: socialism stuff so I'm supposed to be upset with the kid,
- 12:47Speaker 1: as I say, that gave up their 20s that I
- 12:49Speaker 1: went to high school with to become a doctor and
- 12:51Speaker 1: they're making a bunch of money who gave up their 20s.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I should say, oh, you got to take money from
- 12:57Speaker 1: them and give it to the person over here who
- 12:58Speaker 1: didn't make that sacrifice. I think that's lunacy, don't you?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that's communism.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that person gave up 10 years of
- 13:06Speaker 1: their life. They delayed a lot of their life under
- 13:09Speaker 1: a lot of stress to become a surgeon or whatever.
- 13:12Speaker 3: It's a redistribution of wealth, and that actor's name popped
- 13:15Speaker 3: into my mind. Robert De Niro.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Is upset with Mondami's new tax structure for the wealthy.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Well, isn't he the one always bitching about Trump?
- 13:25Speaker 3: Yes, how ironic.
- 13:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I mean, these are the people that... It's ridiculous what's
- 13:32Speaker 1: going on.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Mondami is going after the savings of the wealthy. I
- 13:36Speaker 3: don't know if it's an unrealized capital gains tax or whatever,
- 13:41Speaker 3: but Robert De Niro made the comment, he said, I'm
- 13:43Speaker 3: not acting any longer, and I'm depending on my savings.
- 13:48Speaker 3: You know, that's my main income.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't know why he's going anywhere. He's such a
- 13:52Speaker 1: flame and lib. All of a sudden, he isn't when
- 13:54Speaker 1: they want to take his money and redistribute it.
- 13:58Speaker 3: That's when they wake up.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean, that's That's the craziness. But I will say this,
- 14:05Speaker 1: as I've said numerous times, Just from a personal standpoint,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm not optimistic about the economy because of the situation
- 14:13Speaker 1: in the Middle East. I mean, inflation is way too high,
- 14:16Speaker 1: and it continues to grow. And I think we have
- 14:20Speaker 1: serious problems in the country for everybody when it comes
- 14:23Speaker 1: to the cost of energy. Your electric bill has doubled.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Gas is at $ 4 a gallon. Insurance is— groceries are too high.
- 14:32Speaker 1: All of this stuff because of inflation. Are you optimistic about—
- 14:36Speaker 1: Here's what.
- 14:37Speaker 3: I'm not optimistic about is we had a president who
- 14:42Speaker 3: had the smartest man in the world, Elon Musk, when
- 14:46Speaker 3: he came into office on his second term, uncover all
- 14:49Speaker 3: the fraud. And Trump did nothing. And the Republicans did nothing.
- 14:54Speaker 3: And Elon Musk said, you know, if you would just
- 14:57Speaker 3: eliminate the fraud that's going out, there would be no
- 15:01Speaker 3: need for an income tax, let alone property taxes. And
- 15:05Speaker 3: that was a big disappointment that Trump didn't follow through
- 15:09Speaker 3: on that and the Republicans, as usual, didn't do anything.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I have no respect for politicians.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Right, because the Democrats did everything they could do to
- 15:17Speaker 1: destroy Musk, including, remember, they were firebombing his dealerships and
- 15:22Speaker 1: his cars and customers. They were out to destroy him.
- 15:25Speaker 1: They weren't embracing him by saying, thank God you've uncovered
- 15:28Speaker 1: all of this waste. They were persecuting him. Hey, thank you.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Good talking with you. Have a great day. Appreciate it.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Call his line. Hang in there. Back with you right
- 15:35Speaker 1: after this. And Ron Furb, you're on the air. Hello.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Yeah, hi, Ron. I just want to correct something from
- 15:49Speaker 6: the last caller, who, by the way, you know, unlike, like, G2,
- 15:58Speaker 6: he's critical. He's not a critical thinker, but he is critical.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Complains a lot. But anyhow, he said, oh, that Trump
- 16:06Speaker 6: and Elon Musk had this opportunity to do everything, but
- 16:11Speaker 6: they didn't do anything. And again, he's just... you know,
- 16:15Speaker 6: disappointed in them. Well, I just looked it up, and
- 16:18Speaker 6: it said the Trump administration and the State Department terminated
- 16:23Speaker 6: over 5,300 USAID grants and contracts, roughly $ 27 billion because
- 16:34Speaker 6: of fraud. And because, you know, that's why the Democrats
- 16:38Speaker 6: don't have any money for the midterms, by the way.
- 16:41Speaker 6: roughly 900 programs.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You know what? You're missing really what he said. And
- 16:48Speaker 1: with all due respect, some of that was overturned by
- 16:50Speaker 1: federal judges as well. But the reality was his point
- 16:54Speaker 1: remains his point. His point, which is true. I'm not
- 16:58Speaker 1: here as a Trump cheerleader. Elon Musk was doing a
- 17:01Speaker 1: great job with Doge to uncover all this ridiculous spending
- 17:04Speaker 1: that was put out there if you were paying attention.
- 17:07Speaker 1: The mainstream media didn't cover it at all. They didn't
- 17:11Speaker 1: cover it. And all the Democrats were opposed to what
- 17:14Speaker 1: Musk was doing. They firebombed his dealership. They terrorized his
- 17:18Speaker 1: customers by scratching their cars. They did everything they could
- 17:21Speaker 1: to destroy him. They called him names and he ended
- 17:26Speaker 1: up leaving. The Democrats got their way. He had to
- 17:29Speaker 1: leave and go back and address his business. And the
- 17:33Speaker 1: whole Doge thing came to a screaming halt.
- 17:35Speaker 6: And you can't blame the Republicans for that.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yes, I can. I can blame both the Republicans and
- 17:43Speaker 1: the Democrats because, first of all, the Democrats are opposed
- 17:45Speaker 1: to it. But you didn't see a lot of outcry
- 17:48Speaker 1: from all the Republicans. Too many Republicans, as I agree
- 17:51Speaker 1: with Pleschnik, too many Republicans are rhinos or Democrats. They're
- 17:56Speaker 1: not true Republicans. Many of them didn't do a damn
- 17:59Speaker 1: thing and they were silent Republicans. about it all. So, yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I do blame the... The Republicans haven't got the SAVE
- 18:06Speaker 1: Act passed. They haven't taken a lot of Trump's executive orders.
- 18:09Speaker 1: His executive orders can be overturned if you get a
- 18:12Speaker 1: Democrat president. Why haven't the Republicans who've been in charge
- 18:16Speaker 1: been able to do more to codify this stuff in law?
- 18:20Speaker 1: I do blame them.
- 18:21Speaker 5: Well, I agree.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Well, I mean, I agree.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I agree.
- 18:25Speaker 6: There's some holdovers from the old guard. especially in the Senate, that,
- 18:33Speaker 6: you know, won't bring it up and won't vote on
- 18:37Speaker 6: it and won't push it through and say they don't
- 18:41Speaker 6: have the votes and that type of thing. And maybe
- 18:43Speaker 6: they even do. But, you know, there's a protocol on
- 18:46Speaker 6: how it has to be done, and I totally agree
- 18:49Speaker 6: with you. I think you and I are actually on
- 18:51Speaker 6: the same page. But my point is it is very
- 18:56Speaker 6: hard to blame, and maybe because he's the head guy,
- 18:59Speaker 6: blame trump for everything when he really tries and like
- 19:06Speaker 6: he said he got elon on board and.
- 19:08Speaker 7: They were doing but even he but even he ended
- 19:11Speaker 7: up even he turned on the democrats come in and
- 19:15Speaker 7: they their judges stop it the politicians stop it their violent..
- 19:25Speaker 1: Well, where was the fight, though? Where was the fight
- 19:29Speaker 1: from Trump and the Republicans against all of that? Where
- 19:33Speaker 1: was the fire in the belly? I mean, I thought
- 19:36Speaker 1: everything Musk was doing and was exposing, as an American,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you should have sat back and said, this is ridiculous,
- 19:42Speaker 1: the money being taken from me, or putting this country
- 19:45Speaker 1: in debt for this ridiculous spending, and there should have
- 19:48Speaker 1: been an outcry for anybody that was opposed to it.
- 19:51Speaker 1: But it was crickets. It was absolute crickets.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Well, you know, you've got..
- 19:55Speaker 6: The problem is a lot of the mainstream media is
- 20:00Speaker 6: not going to... It's not going to let the masses know...
- 20:07Speaker 6: What's going on? All they're going to do is report
- 20:10Speaker 6: on how bad Elon Musk is. And, you know, here
- 20:14Speaker 6: you had the you had Democrats, you had liberals and
- 20:18Speaker 6: that who love the electric cars. Everybody needs to have
- 20:22Speaker 6: an electric car. But as soon as Elon Musk looks under,
- 20:27Speaker 6: you know, under the hood to keep a car analogy
- 20:30Speaker 6: going as far as all this money, which goes to
- 20:35Speaker 6: these ridiculous things all over the world. basically just kickbacks
- 20:40Speaker 6: for the Democratic Party, all of a sudden he's getting
- 20:45Speaker 6: attacked violently. He's getting attacked at the dealerships. The people
- 20:51Speaker 6: who own his cars are.
- 20:52Speaker 1: But I would go one step further and say, take
- 20:55Speaker 1: a look at the state of Ohio. And look at
- 20:57Speaker 1: how the state of Ohio is screwing local communities by
- 21:01Speaker 1: not giving their government money back, their local government fund
- 21:04Speaker 1: money back. And all of the things that the Republicans did,
- 21:07Speaker 1: and they're in charge in Ohio. And it seems like
- 21:14Speaker 1: you don't see fiscal soundness there either.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Well, you know, this idea that if you're.
- 21:21Speaker 1: A Republican, listen, I'm as a conservative, you should believe
- 21:25Speaker 1: in lower taxes, more efficient governments. And stopping the waste. Well,
- 21:31Speaker 1: many Republicans in Washington, D.C. certainly don't believe that. They're
- 21:35Speaker 1: a part of that system. And clearly, many of the
- 21:38Speaker 1: Republicans in the state of Ohio don't believe that. And
- 21:40Speaker 1: they're a part of that system. Stand by for me.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Just stand by. Back with her and more. News Radio 570,
- 21:46Speaker 1: WKVN and Ron Furb. Good afternoon. More to come. News
- 21:50Speaker 1: Radio 570, WKVN.
- 21:55Speaker 8: Police in Canton are working to determine how two women
- 21:58Speaker 8: died following an apartment fire on Sunday. 42-year-old Katina Spells
- 22:03Speaker 8: and 31-year-old Courtney Yeager were found inside the apartment, but
- 22:07Speaker 8: it's not believed that the women died from the fire,
- 22:10Speaker 8: but by other means due to their injuries. Congresswoman Marcy
- 22:14Speaker 8: Kaptur is out of the hospital a week after the
- 22:16Speaker 8: 80-year-old was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Toledo. Kaptur
- 22:21Speaker 8: was a passenger in the vehicle driven by a campaign staffer.
- 22:24Speaker 8: The two were on their way to church when they
- 22:26Speaker 8: were hit by another vehicle. The driver of that car
- 22:28Speaker 8: fled the scene. At the just-concluded Ohio State Fair, the
- 22:33Speaker 8: Ohio Department of Commerce says it helped some 1,500 visitors
- 22:37Speaker 8: reclaim a grand total.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Of $ 675, 000 from the state's unclaimed funds account.
- 22:43Speaker 8: I'm Brian Engel.

- 22:53Speaker 1: Never sounded so good. A to Z dependent. Ron Verb.
- 22:57Speaker 1: on NewsRadio 570 WKVN. Well, welcome. 435 in the afternoon,
- 23:02Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKVN. And Ron Verb encouraging you to visit
- 23:06Speaker 1: the folks at Stadium GM. You'll find them right there
- 23:09Speaker 1: in the heart of Salem. It's where you find Mike Hudak.
- 23:12Speaker 1: It's just a great operation. It's the spirit of Stadium
- 23:15Speaker 1: GM in the dealership that I think is what really
- 23:17Speaker 1: makes the difference. And that emanates from Shorty Navarro and
- 23:21Speaker 1: Mike Hudak and all the way through the dealership. The
- 23:24Speaker 1: service departments, good trained staff there, treats you the right
- 23:28Speaker 1: way and can deal with all your problems that you
- 23:31Speaker 1: might have on your vehicle, whatever that might be at
- 23:34Speaker 1: the service department at Stadium GM. Good experienced staff there.
- 23:38Speaker 1: When you go to Stadium GM, everything that General Motors
- 23:41Speaker 1: makes is under one roof. All right. Whether that's Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC,
- 23:47Speaker 1: you name it, it's all under one roof. It's not part,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I brag about the fact that it's a big dealership
- 23:54Speaker 1: with all the names that General Motors makes, but it's
- 23:56Speaker 1: not part of some big conglomerate of, well, we got
- 23:59Speaker 1: 22 dealerships. No, it's Shorty Navarro's Stadium GM. All the
- 24:04Speaker 1: nameplates are right there. It's in the heart of Salem
- 24:08Speaker 1: and you'll just be treated the way that I think
- 24:10Speaker 1: you should be treated and deserve to be treated. And
- 24:13Speaker 1: that's how you are treated when you go to Stadium GM.
- 24:16Speaker 1: And I can tell you that as a customer, I
- 24:18Speaker 1: encourage you to, Experience it for yourself and go experience it.
- 24:23Speaker 1: If you're in the markets for a car, truck, SUV,
- 24:25Speaker 1: whether used or leasing or buying, Stadium GM will be
- 24:29Speaker 1: a game changer for you and your family, to say
- 24:34Speaker 1: the least.
- 24:34Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Where was she? Are you there?
- 24:37Speaker 6: Oh, I'm here.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, I just put it out there. That's all.
- 24:42Speaker 1: That's where I'm at.
- 24:44Speaker 6: Well, you know, just sitting here waiting. And because of
- 24:48Speaker 6: what you had said, it made me get started to think,
- 24:52Speaker 6: I don't know what to call people anymore. You're right.
- 24:55Speaker 6: It's not Republicans. It's not Democrats. Now we've got the
- 25:00Speaker 6: socialists and the communists who are also Democrats, and the
- 25:04Speaker 6: independents who call them, who run as Democrats, but really
- 25:09Speaker 6: are socialists. I mean, it's kind of like the right
- 25:11Speaker 6: and the left. I don't know what to call people,
- 25:14Speaker 6: but there are so many... fractured people, depending upon what
- 25:20Speaker 6: you believe, that... I guess, basically, I would say, yes,
- 25:26Speaker 6: I'm conservative. I've always been conservative. I used to call
- 25:28Speaker 6: myself a capitalist, a conservative capitalist. And then you've got
- 25:34Speaker 6: the Libs, because they would change, and it used to
- 25:37Speaker 6: be liberal, then it was progressive, then they keep changing
- 25:40Speaker 6: the name so that you can't peg them down.
- 25:44Speaker 2: But You're right.
- 25:46Speaker 6: There's so many disappointing Republicans that, you know, say they're
- 25:53Speaker 6: going to do this and that when they get in
- 25:55Speaker 6: and then they lose their nerve and they don't or
- 25:58Speaker 6: they're easily persuaded. And it's really hard. But I don't
- 26:05Speaker 6: like it when it always falls onto Trump where he
- 26:09Speaker 6: throws it out there. He tries to pave the way.
- 26:13Speaker 6: And whether it's judges, whether it's This one or that one.
- 26:16Speaker 6: I think it was the other day that same caller
- 26:20Speaker 6: had asked, well, where's our... I thought we were all
- 26:23Speaker 6: going to get $ 2, 000 checks.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Where's our checks?
- 26:26Speaker 6: Well, it's not any critical, but it's not critical thinking
- 26:32Speaker 6: because why didn't we get the checks? Because we didn't
- 26:36Speaker 6: have the tariffs. They eliminated the tariffs. They fought against
- 26:40Speaker 6: the tariffs. The judges said you can't do the tariffs.
- 26:44Speaker 6: So there goes our checks. I mean, Trump comes up
- 26:47Speaker 6: with these things, and he tries, and I'm not saying
- 26:51Speaker 6: he's totally blameless for everything, but he's trying more than
- 26:56Speaker 6: any other president has ever really tried to think outside
- 27:01Speaker 6: the box and correct the ship. So I give him
- 27:05Speaker 6: credit for that.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot to be corrected. Certainly, don't misunderstand me.
- 27:10Speaker 1: The Democrats don't even give you an option. I mean,
- 27:13Speaker 1: if anybody thinks that Sherrod Brown is the answer, here's
- 27:17Speaker 1: Sherrod Brown running commercials as a Democrat. If I'm elected,
- 27:19Speaker 1: this is what I'm going to do. You've been there
- 27:21Speaker 1: for 30 years, for God's sakes. I mean, are you
- 27:25Speaker 1: kidding me? You supported everything Joe Biden believed in, these
- 27:28Speaker 1: open borders and all of this nonsense that's going on.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I mean, I will not vote. I won't vote for
- 27:36Speaker 1: a Democrat socialist who thinks that socialism is the answer
- 27:40Speaker 1: to anything. I won't vote for a Democrat who thinks
- 27:43Speaker 1: you can wish yourself a woman or men can have
- 27:46Speaker 1: babies or you can't define what a woman is or
- 27:49Speaker 1: that you got to teach kids about all this transgenderism stuff.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I won't vote for Democrats based on their social agenda.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I won't vote for them based on their economic agenda.
- 28:00Speaker 1: They're not even an option to me. I'm just looking.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I'm looking for a Ron DeSantis, quite frankly, that's just
- 28:06Speaker 1: a smart guy. Listen, I thought Trump was going in
- 28:09Speaker 1: the right direction. I don't agree with this war situation.
- 28:12Speaker 1: We shall see where this goes. But I'm going to
- 28:14Speaker 1: tell you something. If he loses the midterms, he has
- 28:18Speaker 1: no one to blame but himself. And I'm dead serious
- 28:21Speaker 1: about that. I hope that isn't the case. I certainly,
- 28:25Speaker 1: as frustrated as I can get with him on this
- 28:27Speaker 1: one particular issue, I certainly will vote for the Republican
- 28:31Speaker 1: in the midterms. But if people go, well, it's the economy, stupid,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and they're upset with Trump and vote for these crazy-ass Democrats,
- 28:41Speaker 1: he has no one to blame but himself for the
- 28:43Speaker 1: decisions he's made. No one.
- 28:45Speaker 6: And if we go down that road with the democratic socialism,
- 28:50Speaker 6: if you don't have the Democrats, the tried and true,
- 28:54Speaker 6: blue dot, whatever they are, Democrats, stand up to the
- 28:58Speaker 6: democratic socialists, and we go down that road, we have
- 29:02Speaker 6: nobody to blame but ourselves.
- 29:04Speaker 7: There you go.
- 29:06Speaker 6: That's scary. We have too many, as you said, we
- 29:08Speaker 6: love our immigrants. We love especially our political immigrants. but
- 29:15Speaker 6: they're running away from that.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You got, you got to come here. You got to
- 29:19Speaker 1: come here legally. Too many people are, uh, listen, there's, uh,
- 29:23Speaker 1: there's too many things going on. That's don't make a
- 29:26Speaker 1: lick of sense to me. Thank you for your call.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I appreciate it. You're on here. It's the unknown caller.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Hey, um, I could only give you about an hour today.
- 29:37Speaker 9: We could take some calls if you want, but, uh,
- 29:40Speaker 9: I just want to let you know that Lake Mead,
- 29:43Speaker 9: I think, is the name of the lake you're looking for.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but then do you see it's at a... Like
- 29:49Speaker 1: they say, it's at an all-time low, and there's a
- 29:52Speaker 1: big drought going on, and they're saying this is because
- 29:54Speaker 1: of climate change. I'll reiterate myself. Listen, I don't know
- 29:58Speaker 1: if climate change is fact or fiction. I'm not a
- 30:01Speaker 1: scientist to say one way or the other. We can
- 30:03Speaker 1: all have opinions, but I'm not watching the glaciers. I
- 30:06Speaker 1: don't see if they're melting or not. I don't know
- 30:09Speaker 1: is the honest answer if climate change is fact or fiction,
- 30:13Speaker 1: but the reality is... there's a hell of a lot
- 30:15Speaker 1: more people using population wise, using Lake Mead for water.
- 30:21Speaker 1: And I think that attributes to it as well, but
- 30:23Speaker 1: there's a major drought going on out there. And right.
- 30:27Speaker 9: And the earlier caller mentioned the, I don't know. I'm
- 30:31Speaker 9: not sure of the pronunciation.
- 30:32Speaker 6: I think it's the aquifer.
- 30:33Speaker 9: There's like this big underground lake under like, I think
- 30:36Speaker 9: Texas and maybe three other States where they're drawing water from.
- 30:41Speaker 9: But it took, like hundreds of years to build up
- 30:46Speaker 9: this water table, but now they're drawing it out so
- 30:51Speaker 9: fast that it can't replenish itself. So I think there's
- 30:55Speaker 9: going to be, you know, a little bit of a
- 30:56Speaker 9: problem out there, but yeah. And then in, I think.
- 31:02Speaker 5: It's Puerto Rico.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 9: Puerto Rico. I heard today it's the driest year in
- 31:08Speaker 9: 120 years. I don't really believe in climate change except
- 31:12Speaker 9: for the fact that as, And G2 said, you know,
- 31:16Speaker 9: thank God for climate change. If it wasn't for climate change,
- 31:19Speaker 9: we'd be under a mile of ice right now.
- 31:22Speaker 1: But it's just like I could give you an opinion. Oh,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I don't buy into it or whatever. But I don't
- 31:31Speaker 1: know for certain. I mean, in all reality, I can't
- 31:33Speaker 1: tell you for certain whether. It takes a lot smarter
- 31:37Speaker 1: minds to say, hey, this is what's going on as
- 31:39Speaker 1: far as the weather patterns and the climate and this
- 31:43Speaker 1: is melting and whatever. Is there a possibility? Well, of
- 31:46Speaker 1: course there is. I mean, I don't know.
- 31:51Speaker 9: Modern scientific history, what, 200, 300 years maybe? The world
- 31:58Speaker 9: is billions and billions of years old. It's gone through
- 32:01Speaker 9: so many cycles. I know they could check the... They'll
- 32:05Speaker 9: drill through the ice cores.
- 32:06Speaker 1: All right, why did I lose him? I don't know
- 32:18Speaker 1: why I lost him, but I did lose him. I apologize.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Call me back. I didn't do anything. You just faded away.
- 32:23Speaker 3: But..
- 32:30Speaker 1: Here's what can cause climate change. Are you ready for this?
- 32:36Speaker 1: When you start cutting down all the forests and when
- 32:43Speaker 1: you go out and they cut the trees down to
- 32:45Speaker 1: make lumber or to make paper or whatever, they plant
- 32:49Speaker 1: another tree. I mean, that's what the forestry companies do
- 32:56Speaker 1: that are harvesting this stuff for wood and They plant
- 33:00Speaker 1: another tree. So I'm cool with that. But if you
- 33:05Speaker 1: rip that area down because you want to put in
- 33:07Speaker 1: a data center and you clear all that land, that
- 33:11Speaker 1: causes climate change. Because now the process of the trees
- 33:16Speaker 1: in those 100 acres is now vanished and gone. Like
- 33:20Speaker 1: they say, what do they say, the lungs of earth,
- 33:24Speaker 1: the rainforests? As you continue to see that be destroyed
- 33:30Speaker 1: and cut down, they say, well, that's the lungs of earth,
- 33:33Speaker 1: that there's ramifications on doing that kind of stuff. Well,
- 33:37Speaker 1: take a look. Everybody's for development and that kind of stuff.
- 33:39Speaker 1: But when you're saying, well, we're going to go build,
- 33:41Speaker 1: we're going to go buy 100 acres or whatever. It
- 33:43Speaker 1: used to be a farm and used to have trees
- 33:45Speaker 1: and all this. And we're going to rip everything down.
- 33:47Speaker 1: We're going to put some concrete down and put a
- 33:49Speaker 1: building here. Well, that would seem to me attribute more
- 33:52Speaker 1: to any type of climate change than anything else. You're
- 33:58Speaker 1: on air.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Hi, Ron.
- 34:01Speaker 5: I think, again, I think you guys are, I have
- 34:04Speaker 5: to agree with that lady. It's a Democrat again. You know,
- 34:07Speaker 5: I mean, this is, you know, we should just have
- 34:10Speaker 5: one party.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Excuse me. Let me introduce you. I'm sorry.
- 34:15Speaker 6: J.J.
- 34:15Speaker 1: The Trumpster, formerly known as J.J. the Liberal, until he
- 34:18Speaker 1: had his lobotomy.
- 34:21Speaker 5: That's my Dr. Jekyll to Mr.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Hyde.
- 34:23Speaker 5: So that's, he's a, He's only around when, you know,
- 34:27Speaker 5: every now and then. So he's the evil part of me,
- 34:29Speaker 5: that Democrat part of me.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Yeah, J.J.
- 34:31Speaker 1: The liberal now known as J.J. the Trumpster, formerly J.J.
- 34:35Speaker 1: the liberal. So you're talking about how bad the Democrats are?
- 34:39Speaker 5: Oh, they're just nuts. I mean, the other day I
- 34:43Speaker 5: was talking to somebody, and they were like, that guy's
- 34:46Speaker 5: like 35 years old telling me he wants to have
- 34:48Speaker 5: a baby. I'm like, you know, buddy, I don't understand it.
- 34:51Speaker 5: He says, no, but I can have a baby. And
- 34:54Speaker 5: quite frankly, I guess he had a couple kids at home,
- 34:57Speaker 5: and he's trying to get his... son uh named john
- 35:00Speaker 5: to become joan so i'm like uh you.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Know what's up with you pal i mean oh my.
- 35:05Speaker 5: God you know there again there it is it's the
- 35:07Speaker 5: democrats right it's yes i mean a bunch of food
- 35:09Speaker 5: cakes and right wackos and yes you know you name
- 35:12Speaker 5: it it's uh you guys come up with some pretty
- 35:15Speaker 5: good names so i i'm glad that i had the
- 35:17Speaker 5: uh my transformation there that uh that uh said my
- 35:21Speaker 5: dad that my doctor a um thank you note yeah
- 35:23Speaker 5: let him know how uh how appreciative i am of
- 35:25Speaker 5: you know setting me straight here and.
- 35:27Speaker 1: That was uh that was my eyes to me yeah
- 35:30Speaker 1: that was dr vinnie voomba right that did that.
- 35:32Speaker 2: For you yeah yeah.
- 35:34Speaker 1: There's dr vinnie voomba that's did the procedure yeah you
- 35:38Speaker 1: went in and it was both done with chemicals and
- 35:41Speaker 1: electric shock I mean, actually.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I got a bill today on it, so I have
- 35:45Speaker 5: to make sure I take care of that. So I'm not.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Well, you're a responsible conservative. He's had electric shock. He
- 35:53Speaker 1: went in as J.J., the liberal, and now he's come
- 35:55Speaker 1: out as J.J., the Trumpster, the Trumpster.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Yep, I told you it was going to be different.
- 35:59Speaker 5: I've got to make sure that I get everything squared
- 36:01Speaker 5: away when I go down and vote in November, so
- 36:03Speaker 5: I have to wear my Depends, because just in case
- 36:07Speaker 5: I start to write D anywhere, I don't want to
- 36:09Speaker 5: lose my bowels or anything and have a problem there
- 36:11Speaker 5: and wet myself right in the middle of my voting
- 36:17Speaker 5: location there, so I've got to keep an eye on
- 36:19Speaker 5: things here. But I just wanted to let the lady
- 36:22Speaker 5: know I agree with her and that us having the..
- 36:27Speaker 6: Uh..
- 36:28Speaker 5: The white house in the senate in the house in
- 36:30Speaker 5: a supermajority in the the senate to earn the uh...
- 36:34Speaker 5: supreme court uh... the democrats are still you know causing
- 36:37Speaker 5: us problems so i uh... you know we've got to
- 36:39Speaker 5: take care of this in So at least, you know,
- 36:42Speaker 5: I'm working to set things straight there, Ron, just so
- 36:46Speaker 5: you know. I'm going to start to commit to my
- 36:49Speaker 5: wife and a couple other people. Actually, she's wearing a
- 36:53Speaker 5: cross around her neck, and we're putting garlic up around
- 36:56Speaker 5: so I don't get close to her because she thinks
- 36:58Speaker 5: I'm going to... But anyway, I'm just... Just kind of,
- 37:01Speaker 5: you know, just want to make sure that you're all
- 37:04Speaker 5: on the same page here. And, you know, Bubba Gnusin,
- 37:08Speaker 5: that Sophie Cunningham, yes, she's an enforcer. That's what you
- 37:11Speaker 5: call an enforcer. So, you know, you never know. If
- 37:15Speaker 5: he would have been 20 years younger, he might have
- 37:18Speaker 5: been able to get on that show.
- 37:20Speaker 4: But, yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 37:23Speaker 5: Just enjoying the day, enjoying your guys' conversations.
- 37:26Speaker 6: Thank you very much.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Before I start to talk to you, Ben, here, I'm
- 37:28Speaker 5: going to let you guys take a couple more calls
- 37:31Speaker 5: before I go nuts here.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Thank you. That's J.J. the Trumpster, folks. He's had, like,
- 37:38Speaker 1: electric shock, some extensive electric shock, and some drugs. He
- 37:43Speaker 1: used to be J.J. the liberal, and now he's J.J.
- 37:46Speaker 1: the Trumpster because he's had it with the Democrats and...
- 37:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's almost like the Twilight Zone when I'm
- 37:55Speaker 1: talking to him. I feel like I'm Rod Serling, and
- 37:58Speaker 1: it's the Twilight Zone. That's what I... Wow. Wow. He
- 38:09Speaker 1: was having a conversation with somebody that was a man
- 38:12Speaker 1: that thought they were going to have a baby. And
- 38:15Speaker 1: he had to tell them that they were crazy. And
- 38:19Speaker 1: they couldn't wish themselves a woman. now that he's J.J.
- 38:22Speaker 1: the Trumpster. That is amazing. You're on the air.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Hi, Ron.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Hi.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I've been listening, and I can tell you that I
- 38:33Speaker 4: wanted to have a saying here.
- 38:35Speaker 2: It's from Sharique. And this very much applies to today.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I'm almost 70, and I've lived, you know, life a
- 38:47Speaker 4: while and realized that we go through periods like this.
- 38:51Speaker 4: And I'll tell you why we do this little thing
- 38:54Speaker 4: is very much the reason why. Tough times create strong men.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Strong men create easy times. Easy times create weak men.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Weak men create tough times. You have to raise warriors,
- 39:12Speaker 4: not parasites.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Back when my dad was young, that.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Was the Depression, okay? My husband and I got married
- 39:23Speaker 4: in 1980.
- 39:24Speaker 2: In the next several years.
- 39:28Speaker 4: We lost five mill jobs.
- 39:31Speaker 2: They shut them down because of NAFTA.
- 39:34Speaker 4: They went to.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Mexico.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Okay.
- 39:40Speaker 4: So what I'm explaining here is all these people that
- 39:45Speaker 4: are fussing and complaining and whining and everything..
- 39:49Speaker 2: They just need to buck up. When my husband bought
- 39:53Speaker 2: our house..
- 39:54Speaker 1: Stand by, stand by. I'll be back with you in
- 39:56Speaker 1: a minute. Your one talk station, 570 WKBN. I mean,
- 40:05Speaker 1: I'm just laughing during the break. It is such a classic. J.J.
- 40:12Speaker 1: the Trumpster.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Oh, my.
- 40:14Speaker 1: How clever is that?
- 40:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:19Speaker 1: So your point is?
- 40:21Speaker 4: My point is you go through hard times. It's what
- 40:26Speaker 4: you do with those hard times that makes or breaks you.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Okay? My husband and I went for years. I worked.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I supported us. He loved to work.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Okay?
- 40:40Speaker 4: I had $ 20 to spend on groceries.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 40:47Speaker 1: People are so sad.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Soft right now. They are way too soft.
- 40:52Speaker 4: And we took nothing wrong.
- 40:55Speaker 2: We didn't have welfare.
- 40:57Speaker 4: We didn't have food stamps. We took nothing. Interest rates
- 41:03Speaker 4: were 12%.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah, your phone is breaking up on me.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I don't know why. I can't make.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Eye nor hair of what you're saying.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Okay, I said that interest rates were 12%.
- 41:19Speaker 2: When we bought our house.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 41:21Speaker 4: A year and a half. Can you hear me?
- 41:24Speaker 1: Say what?
- 41:26Speaker 2: I said interest rates were 12% when we bought our house.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Probably back when you bought your house, interest rates were 12%,
- 41:34Speaker 1: weren't they?
- 41:36Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 41:37Speaker 2: And guess what? In a year and a half, when
- 41:40Speaker 2: they went down to seven, we thought that was wonderful,
- 41:45Speaker 2: and we refinanced by the skin of our teeth.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:49Speaker 2: You know, raising two boys at that point, little kids,
- 41:54Speaker 2: you know, life is not easy. And it's all in
- 41:58Speaker 2: what you put into it. And you better pull yourself
- 42:01Speaker 2: up by your bootstrap, you know.
- 42:03Speaker 1: There you go.
- 42:04Speaker 2: So, yeah, exactly. That's how I feel. And I think
- 42:08Speaker 2: these young kids really need to learn that. I mean,
- 42:11Speaker 2: you know, they don't know whether they're a boy or
- 42:13Speaker 2: a girl. And they, you know, run around with pacifiers
- 42:16Speaker 2: in their mouth and stuff. You know, hey. That's not
- 42:20Speaker 2: going to cut it, you know.
- 42:22Speaker 1: All right. I got you. Thank you. Get the pacifier
- 42:27Speaker 1: out of your mouth. Yes, absolutely. NewsRadio 570. 6 o'clock,
- 42:33Speaker 1: we got the Rockport Wealth Truth Investing Program here on
- 42:36Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570. So keep that in mind in the markets,
- 42:40Speaker 1: whether you're leasing or buying for a vehicle. Well, whatever
- 42:44Speaker 1: the case might be, are you looking for a Buick?
- 42:48Speaker 1: The Buicks today are not your father's Buick anymore. Boy,
- 42:51Speaker 1: they are really some sharp-looking vehicles that Buick is putting out.
- 42:54Speaker 1: And I do mean sharp-looking cars and SUVs, I should say,
- 42:58Speaker 1: because everything's an SUV anymore. But they are sharp-looking. So
- 43:02Speaker 1: in the market for a Buick, how about a GMC?
- 43:06Speaker 1: How about a Silverado? How about a Cadillac? Any of those?
- 43:13Speaker 1: All those nameplates are in one location. You don't have
- 43:16Speaker 1: to drive all around town. You go to one location,
- 43:18Speaker 1: you go to Stadium GM in Salem, and that's where
- 43:20Speaker 1: you'll find all of those vehicles under one roof at
- 43:25Speaker 1: one dealership. It's always been that way. Family-owned and operated,
- 43:31Speaker 1: not part of some big conglomerate where you get kind
- 43:34Speaker 1: of lost in the mix. That isn't what happens when
- 43:37Speaker 1: you go to Stadium GM. You're treated the way that
- 43:39Speaker 1: you know you should be treated. They appreciate your business.
- 43:43Speaker 1: They want to keep your business and your families as well.
- 43:45Speaker 1: That includes the service department. That includes the sales floor.
- 43:48Speaker 1: That includes the selection. That's what they're all about at
- 43:52Speaker 1: Stadium GM. Straightforward approach. You want to see it for yourself?
- 43:54Speaker 1: Go to the website, StadiumGM.com, and take a look at
- 43:58Speaker 1: the vehicles that they have for you. Cars, trucks, SUVs, new, used,
- 44:02Speaker 1: Carfax reports. It's all right there. Straightforward approach, competitive pricing,
- 44:07Speaker 1: treated with respect. Stadium GM, in the heart of Salem.
- 44:12Speaker 1: which is a beautiful community and it's a great dealership.
- 44:14Speaker 1: As a customer, I always say, if you're in a vehicle,
- 44:18Speaker 1: in the mood for a new vehicle, Stadium GM. That's
- 44:20Speaker 1: where we go. I think you'll be happy. I really do.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Call us online. Stand by. Back with more of your calls.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Don't touch a dial. Ron Verp from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
