Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and mysterious deaths,
• 0:09
Speaker 1: there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Now, a
• 0:13
Speaker 1: lot of people want to chalk it up to coincidence,
• 0:16
Speaker 1: and I'm sure that some of these deaths most certainly are.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: But when you have as many as we have around Epstein,
• 0:23
Speaker 1: questions have to be asked. And now we have another
• 0:28
Speaker 1: death in To add to the equation. And this time
• 0:31
Speaker 1: we're talking about a man named Simon Andres, who used
• 0:37
Speaker 1: to work for Cantor Fitzgerald, and who was a whistleblower
• 0:42
Speaker 1: who outed Howard Lutnick and his relationship to Epstein. And
• 0:46
Speaker 1: wouldn't you know it, Mr. Andres ends up meeting his
• 0:49
Speaker 1: fate in Thailand. Now, I'm not going to sit here
• 0:53
Speaker 1: and tell you that Jeffrey Epstein's organization took this dude out.
• 0:59
Speaker 1: But what I am going to say is that it's
• 1:01
Speaker 1: another one of these weird-ass so-called coincidences surrounding Jeffrey Epstein
• 1:06
Speaker 1: and people who die in his orbit. So today, we
• 1:10
Speaker 1: have an article from The Sun and the headline, Brit
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Epstein Whistleblower 57 Found Dead Months After Revealing Links Between
• 1:17
Speaker 1: Petto and U.S. Official Amid Calls for Probe. This article
• 1:22
Speaker 1: was authored by Jalyn Mechmit, UK MPs, have now called
• 1:28
Speaker 1: for a probe into the death of Simon Andres, 57,
• 1:32
Speaker 1: saying his case raises deeply troubling questions. Well, I'd say so.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: I mean, we're just getting over Daniel Syed allegedly committing suicide,
• 1:43
Speaker 1: and now we have this dude who allegedly took his
• 1:46
Speaker 1: own life, just like Mark Middleton, and how many other
• 1:49
Speaker 1: people that have been around this case, including Epstein himself.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, don't forget Jean-Luc Bruneau. All of that's just
• 1:57
Speaker 1: a coincidence. And I'm sure that everybody's just clipping themselves
• 2:00
Speaker 1: because they have nothing to hide, right? If they are
• 2:02
Speaker 1: the ones doing it. That screams guilt to me as
• 2:07
Speaker 1: far as Jean-Luc Brunel and Jeffrey Epstein go. Now, when
• 2:10
Speaker 1: it comes to people like Mr. Andres, I don't know.
• 2:14
Speaker 1: I don't know what his life was like. Was he
• 2:16
Speaker 1: going through it? Did he have, you know, issues at home?
• 2:19
Speaker 1: Those are all questions that have to be answered. But
• 2:22
Speaker 1: anybody who thinks it's not curious at the very least,
• 2:25
Speaker 1: has not been paying attention. The former Wall Street banker
• 2:28
Speaker 1: died by suicide in Thailand last month. His family has confirmed.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: Months earlier, Andres had revealed emails he claimed exposed business
• 2:37
Speaker 1: ties between U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Jeffrey Epstein.
• 2:41
Speaker 1: And we all know that old Howie boy isn't just
• 2:43
Speaker 1: going to let it slide, right? That's a man that
• 2:46
Speaker 1: likes his vengeance. That's a man that likes some comeuppance.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: That's a man who's used to getting his way. And
• 2:52
Speaker 1: then you have somebody like Mr. Andres... who shows up
• 2:56
Speaker 1: and overturns the apple cart, not something that someone like
• 2:59
Speaker 1: Howard Ludnick is used to dealing with. He's used to
• 3:02
Speaker 1: having people listen to everything he says and do everything
• 3:06
Speaker 1: he says. And Mr. Andres committed the cardinal sin, right?
• 3:10
Speaker 1: He spoke out of school. He went to the authorities.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: And in the world of Howard Ludnick, much like in
• 3:15
Speaker 1: the world of organized crime, that's a non-starter. If you
• 3:20
Speaker 1: go to the authorities, there will be consequences. Andrees had
• 3:25
Speaker 1: previously worked under Lutnick. The MP also raised concerns over
• 3:29
Speaker 1: how whistleblowers were treated after approaching the Financial Conduct Authority
• 3:33
Speaker 1: with allegations of wrongdoing and the retaliation they may subsequently face. Well,
• 3:39
Speaker 1: at a company like Cantor, for sure. You're going to
• 3:42
Speaker 1: be ostracized, blackballed, the whole thing. And you know that
• 3:45
Speaker 1: they put the word out that Mr. Andrees shouldn't get
• 3:48
Speaker 1: a job in the industry, right? Call all their friends,
• 3:51
Speaker 1: talk to everybody. Hey, look, Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Lose
• 3:55
Speaker 1: that resume. Labor MP John McDonald has since described Andre's
• 4:01
Speaker 1: death as a profound and preventable tragedy. He warned that
• 4:05
Speaker 1: whistleblowers were vital to policing the financial system and needed
• 4:09
Speaker 1: to be properly protected. Well, that's true. There needs to
• 4:12
Speaker 1: be safeguards for people that come forward and blow the
• 4:17
Speaker 1: whistle on powerful people. And a lot of times people
• 4:20
Speaker 1: aren't willing to come forward because they know that they're
• 4:23
Speaker 1: not going to have any kind of protection, and the
• 4:25
Speaker 1: vast majority of people aren't trying to rock the boat.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: They're not trying to go up against very powerful people.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: They know that's a losing proposition. So that's why whistleblower laws,
• 4:36
Speaker 1: safe harbor laws, are important. He warned that whistleblowers were
• 4:42
Speaker 1: vital to policing the financial system, and needed to be
• 4:45
Speaker 1: properly protected. Andres said, had uncovered a 2018 email chain
• 4:50
Speaker 1: which he claimed showed Lutnick and Epstein discussing Adfin, a
• 4:54
Speaker 1: digital advertising startup to which they were both investors. The
• 4:58
Speaker 1: messages were exchanged a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty in
• 5:02
Speaker 1: 2008 to soliciting prostitution from a minor. But Lutnick had
• 5:06
Speaker 1: no idea. He was just his next-door neighbor. Good old
• 5:10
Speaker 1: Howie never had any access to the internet, right? He
• 5:13
Speaker 1: had no idea what was going on in the world.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: One of the most powerful and richest dudes around. had
• 5:17
Speaker 1: no clue that his neighbor was Captain Diddle Shoes. These
• 5:22
Speaker 1: people really think we're stupid. They think that we're so
• 5:25
Speaker 1: dumb that we're never gonna catch the gag. Well, unfortunately
• 5:29
Speaker 1: for them, we've caught the gag. And none of us
• 5:33
Speaker 1: are laughing. Epstein died behind bars in 2019 while awaiting
• 5:39
Speaker 1: trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Andres discovered the emails
• 5:44
Speaker 1: while trawling through the huge release of Epstein files for HWL,
• 5:49
Speaker 1: Lutnick's initials. And remember when Howard Lutnick tried to tell
• 5:53
Speaker 1: everybody that everything was overblown? He hardly knew the guy,
• 5:57
Speaker 1: only talked to him the one time when he was
• 5:59
Speaker 1: in the foyer, and his wife told him he was weird,
• 6:02
Speaker 1: and he decided right then and there that he'd never
• 6:04
Speaker 1: see him again? Well, I know this is going to
• 6:06
Speaker 1: shock you, but that was a lie. And he, in fact,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: was going to see him again. And he did see
• 6:12
Speaker 1: him again. And not only that, they had business dealings.
• 6:16
Speaker 1: which Howard Lutnick also lied about. And not only did
• 6:19
Speaker 1: he lie about it, lied to Congress, and lied to
• 6:23
Speaker 1: the American people. And usually that's the end of it, right?
• 6:26
Speaker 1: When people call you out on lying, and we can
• 6:28
Speaker 1: prove it, that's the end of your political career. But nowadays,
• 6:32
Speaker 1: that's how you get elevated. That's how you get a promotion.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: He told the BBC in July that he knew from
• 6:41
Speaker 1: his years working at BGC Partners, where Lutnick was chief executive,
• 6:45
Speaker 1: that bosses... often use their initials in emails. Andrees then
• 6:50
Speaker 1: passed his findings to U.S. politicians before Lutnick appeared before
• 6:54
Speaker 1: the House Oversight Committee in May. Lutnick told the hearing
• 6:58
Speaker 1: he had only learned Epstein was an investor in Adfin
• 7:01
Speaker 1: when the Epstein files were released this year. The Commerce
• 7:05
Speaker 1: Department has said there was no evidence of wrongdoing. That's
• 7:08
Speaker 1: not really the point, is it? The point is, he's
• 7:11
Speaker 1: lied to the American people, he lied to Congress under oath,
• 7:15
Speaker 1: and he continues to lie. And what's crazy is in
• 7:17
Speaker 1: the old days, and I'm talking what, maybe 10 years ago,
• 7:21
Speaker 1: that would be a death knell politically speaking. You'd be
• 7:24
Speaker 1: done for. But now people just expect it. Oh, a
• 7:28
Speaker 1: politician lied? Cool, the sun rose today. Water's wet. The
• 7:32
Speaker 1: sky is blue. And P.S. All these politicians, they still
• 7:36
Speaker 1: hate you. But Andri's revelation put fresh scrutiny on Lutnik's
• 7:40
Speaker 1: previous account of his relationship with the disgraced financier. Ludnick
• 7:45
Speaker 1: had said he first met Epstein in 2005 after moving
• 7:48
Speaker 1: next door to him in Manhattan and was so disturbed
• 7:51
Speaker 1: by his massage room that he cut contact. Turns out
• 7:55
Speaker 1: that was a lie. I cut contact. He was so weird.
• 7:58
Speaker 1: My wife told me. Yeah, sure. My guess. And look,
• 8:02
Speaker 1: speculation and probably some hyperbole here. Howie was probably hanging
• 8:07
Speaker 1: out with Jeffrey more than we know. Next door neighbors
• 8:10
Speaker 1: pop in. Let me get a drink. You want to
• 8:12
Speaker 1: hang out? Can we play some chess? Whatever it might be.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: He later told the Senate Appropriations Committee that he and
• 8:21
Speaker 1: his family visited Epstein's Notorious Island in 2012, saying, I
• 8:25
Speaker 1: don't recall why we did it. Let me bring my
• 8:27
Speaker 1: family to a convicted sex offenders island. Sounds like a
• 8:32
Speaker 1: great idea for somebody who's part of the president's cabinet. Like,
• 8:36
Speaker 1: what are we doing here, folks? This is the best
• 8:39
Speaker 1: and the brightest we have? These absolute nincompoops, these are
• 8:44
Speaker 1: the people that are going to lead us into the
• 8:46
Speaker 1: golden age, the greatest time in American history. Talk about
• 8:50
Speaker 1: sucking up the slop. Andres also raised concerns about Lutnick's
• 8:57
Speaker 1: alleged links to Epstein years before the emails emerged. While
• 9:01
Speaker 1: speaking to the FBI in 2020 and 2021 during an
• 9:04
Speaker 1: investigation into other allegations he made about BGC, he alleged Lutnick,
• 9:10
Speaker 1: had undeclared business ties to Epstein. According to the BBC,
• 9:14
Speaker 1: the FBI did not investigate those accusations because they don't care.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: They were told from their boss, old Donito Trump, that
• 9:23
Speaker 1: the answer is no. There'll be no real investigations. What
• 9:26
Speaker 1: I want you to do is give the whole country
• 9:28
Speaker 1: a reach around and never give them a tug. And
• 9:31
Speaker 1: I hate to be so crude, but that's what they
• 9:34
Speaker 1: did to us, right? Talk about the ultimate rug pull.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: Andres later made another startling claim involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. He
• 9:46
Speaker 1: told the BBC that one of Lutnick's firms had explored
• 9:49
Speaker 1: going into business with Andrew in 2013 through a £ 1
• 9:53
Speaker 1: million loan. Well, that's not shocking. That's what Jeffrey Epstein
• 9:57
Speaker 1: was doing. He was bringing all these people together. so
• 10:00
Speaker 1: that they could utilize their power, their privilege, and their
• 10:04
Speaker 1: position for one another. And then Jeffrey Epstein would, you know,
• 10:08
Speaker 1: get his piece of his half. No different than the mafia.
• 10:11
Speaker 1: Finder's fee, right? Or as we call it in the
• 10:13
Speaker 1: sports book, the VIG. So basically, if Jeffrey Epstein holds
• 10:16
Speaker 1: that 10% on every transaction, the motherfucker's never going to
• 10:20
Speaker 1: have to work again. So if he middlemans all these
• 10:23
Speaker 1: transactions and sets everything up, he's getting pieced off. So
• 10:27
Speaker 1: that's how he made a vast majority of his money.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: And you know what else happens with that money? Undeclared.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: So the amount of money that Jeffrey Epstein had on
• 10:37
Speaker 1: the books, I would say, and this is conservatively speaking,
• 10:41
Speaker 1: at least double that. And that's what his real net
• 10:43
Speaker 1: worth was, his true wealth. The problem is all that
• 10:47
Speaker 1: money is hidden and we'll never find it. Andrees claimed
• 10:51
Speaker 1: the plan was designed to commercially exploit contacts Andrew had
• 10:55
Speaker 1: built as Britain's former trade envoy and was an attempt
• 10:58
Speaker 1: to basically buy a prince while the prince was already bought.
• 11:02
Speaker 1: And he would have just been another person buying the
• 11:05
Speaker 1: prince's services and using the prince as a springboard. He
• 11:12
Speaker 1: alleged that Lutnik offered the former prince a £ 1 million
• 11:16
Speaker 1: loan in 2013 in return for for using his contacts
• 11:20
Speaker 1: to attract investors. The deal never went ahead. Andres later
• 11:25
Speaker 1: handed evidence to the Financial Conduct Authority over alleged misconduct
• 11:29
Speaker 1: at Lutnick's former firm. Yeah, you mean like at Canter Gaming?
• 11:34
Speaker 1: You know, the whole Jersey Boy scandal? The whole entire
• 11:37
Speaker 1: nonsensical bullshit with Mike Colbert? With Liamitis? Absolute joke. And
• 11:44
Speaker 1: the fact that Lutnick... was largely untouched by that controversy
• 11:48
Speaker 1: is crazy. It was an absolute shitshow. And how do
• 11:52
Speaker 1: I know? Well, I was working for the company at
• 11:55
Speaker 1: the time. So yeah, I can tell you firsthand, absolute shitshow.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: And I assure you, there was nothing going on that
• 12:02
Speaker 1: Lutnik didn't know about. Among his claims was that money
• 12:05
Speaker 1: set aside to pay brokers bonuses had been embezzled from
• 12:09
Speaker 1: improper purposes. The firm has denied the allegation. Just weeks
• 12:13
Speaker 1: before his death, Andres said that he'd been put through
• 12:17
Speaker 1: absolute hell after turning to the FCA. Speaking at an
• 12:21
Speaker 1: event involving MPs and whistleblower campaigners, he said he felt
• 12:25
Speaker 1: thoroughly let down by the watchdog. He accused BGC and
• 12:29
Speaker 1: its lawyers of retaliating against him for blowing the whistle,
• 12:32
Speaker 1: something the firm denies. Oh no, that's something they do. 100%.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: They try and hit people with that scarlet letter. But
• 12:43
Speaker 1: the FCA previously told Andres there was insufficient evidence to
• 12:47
Speaker 1: conclude he faced retaliation. He believed that that finding made
• 12:51
Speaker 1: it harder for him to pursue a tribunal claim against BGC.
• 12:56
Speaker 1: MPs have now called for the FCA to fund an
• 12:59
Speaker 1: independent investigation into how it handles whistleblowers. Letnick was friends
• 13:04
Speaker 1: with Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and attended their daughter Princess
• 13:08
Speaker 1: Eugenie's wedding in 2018. You guys catching on yet? that
• 13:13
Speaker 1: Lutnick's an absolute liar, and that this administration is littered
• 13:17
Speaker 1: with absolute liars, and Lutnick is, you know, close to
• 13:20
Speaker 1: the top of the list, in my opinion. Soon after
• 13:25
Speaker 1: his revelations emerged, Andrees spoke publicly about the devastating toll
• 13:29
Speaker 1: whistleblowing had taken on his career, health, and family. His
• 13:33
Speaker 1: death was confirmed by Andy Agathan Angelou, founder of campaign
• 13:39
Speaker 1: group Transparency Task Force, which had hosted Andrees's at whistleblowing events.
• 13:46
Speaker 1: Agathon Angelou described him as a whistleblower who stood up
• 13:50
Speaker 1: for what was right and valued member of our community.
• 13:53
Speaker 1: Financial services expert and TTF community member Paul Callen said
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Andres had bravely fought alone and vulnerable voice was let
• 14:01
Speaker 1: down by some of those who needed to trust and
• 14:04
Speaker 1: who were able to make a difference. That's how it
• 14:07
Speaker 1: always works, right? Whenever you go up against very powerful
• 14:10
Speaker 1: people like this, it's going to be a long road
• 14:12
Speaker 1: to hoe And I think a lot of whistleblowers, they
• 14:15
Speaker 1: get discouraged because they know that even if they come forward,
• 14:19
Speaker 1: it's not going to have the effect they hope it has.
• 14:21
Speaker 1: And probably they're going to end up taking it in
• 14:24
Speaker 1: the pants. Callan added, it's a tragedy that he felt
• 14:28
Speaker 1: so let down, how he sadly saw no way out
• 14:31
Speaker 1: recently and was lost. To all of Simon's family and friends,
• 14:35
Speaker 1: please stay strong. The pain must be unimaginable. And you,
• 14:39
Speaker 1: along with Simon, are in the thoughts of so many
• 14:42
Speaker 1: around the world. The words will never be right or adequate,
• 14:46
Speaker 1: but so many are there supporting you, even if not
• 14:48
Speaker 1: present or apparent, both now and in the weeks, months,
• 14:52
Speaker 1: and years to come. Andres had spent 35 years in
• 14:55
Speaker 1: the securities industry before being sacked by BGC in 2017
• 15:01
Speaker 1: after raising concerns about alleged accounting irregularities. No, over I canter?
• 15:06
Speaker 1: Come on. Everything's always been on the up and up. BGC?
• 15:10
Speaker 1: has previously insisted his allegations were categorically false and said
• 15:15
Speaker 1: they remained unsubstantiated following investigations by authorities in several jurisdictions.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: The firm said Andres was dismissed after refusing to follow
• 15:25
Speaker 1: medical advice or perform essential duties, rejecting reasonable accommodation and
• 15:31
Speaker 1: abandoning his role. Lutnik has previously said he met Epstein
• 15:35
Speaker 1: three times. He said, I unequivocally condemn the conduct attributed
• 15:39
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein and everyone who participated in his illegal activities.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: The survivors of his crimes deserve our respect and support.
• 15:48
Speaker 1: Sure they do, Howie. And you're doing so much to
• 15:51
Speaker 1: make sure that occurs, right? You're working tirelessly to make
• 15:55
Speaker 1: sure that that happens, aren't you, Howie? The White House
• 16:00
Speaker 1: also fiercely hit back at reporting about Lutnick's links to
• 16:03
Speaker 1: Epstein in July. It told the BBC the BBC's pathetic
• 16:07
Speaker 1: and desperate attempt to slander Secretary Lutnick will do nothing
• 16:10
Speaker 1: to change the fact that he has been the most
• 16:12
Speaker 1: consequential Commerce Secretary in modern history. Oh, here we go again.
• 16:17
Speaker 1: The greatest administration in history. Oh, administration this, administration that.
• 16:22
Speaker 1: We're doing such a great job. Just ask us. Yeah,
• 16:26
Speaker 1: we're going to see how great a job you're doing
• 16:28
Speaker 1: in about, oh, I don't know, a month from now.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: Because the American people are going to have their say
• 16:35
Speaker 1: at the ballot box. And I have a funny feeling
• 16:37
Speaker 1: it's not going to end up the way People like
• 16:40
Speaker 1: Howie Lutnick want. And guess what? They'll have nobody to
• 16:45
Speaker 1: blame but themselves. Now, they're going to blame people like
• 16:48
Speaker 1: Thomas Massey, and they're going to blame you. But the
• 16:51
Speaker 1: truth is, the blame is with them. They made promises,
• 16:54
Speaker 1: they didn't follow through, and they lied. And now, well,
• 16:59
Speaker 1: now that bill is going to be due. Donald Trump
• 17:02
Speaker 1: himself associated with Epstein and was photographed with him several
• 17:05
Speaker 1: times during the 1990s and early 2000s. The US president
• 17:10
Speaker 1: has always denied knowing about Epstein's sex offending. So look,
• 17:14
Speaker 1: I don't know if this guy was killed or, you know,
• 17:18
Speaker 1: something nefarious happened. And as of right now, it certainly
• 17:21
Speaker 1: doesn't look that way from what we know. But when
• 17:23
Speaker 1: we're talking about Jeffrey Epstein and we're talking about this
• 17:26
Speaker 1: situation with whistleblowers, unfortunately, this is the fate that a
• 17:31
Speaker 1: lot of them meet. So we'll have to see where
• 17:34
Speaker 1: it all goes and we'll have to see what kind
• 17:36
Speaker 1: of investigation pops up and what the FCA comes up
• 17:39
Speaker 1: with over the next few days, weeks, and months. And
• 17:42
Speaker 1: when we have some more information, like usual, we'll get
• 17:44
Speaker 1: it added to the catalog. All the information that goes
• 17:48
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
