- 0:13Speaker 1: I am Chad Milman and today, how the heck do
- 0:17Speaker 1: professional betters do it? The NFL season is hopefully across
- 0:21Speaker 1: your fingers knock on wood, just six weeks away. More
- 0:25Speaker 1: and more states are legalizing sports betting. More and more
- 0:28Speaker 1: new betters are learning about how to bet. They wonder
- 0:32Speaker 1: what to bet. They are curious about how much they
- 0:35Speaker 1: bet on a game in a week, in a season.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Simon Hunter, are resident professional better and member of our
- 0:42Speaker 1: podcast family, gets these questions all the time and he
- 0:45Speaker 1: is going to break down everything he knows about how
- 0:49Speaker 1: to be a pro capital p pro at betting. But first,
- 0:54Speaker 1: two weeks ago, when Bob SCOOCHI Scooch made his triumphant return,
- 0:59Speaker 1: we asked fans to rate and review the podcast. Those
- 1:02Speaker 1: who did and used the winning phrase the right side
- 1:05Speaker 1: is the winning side in their review were eligible to
- 1:08Speaker 1: win a copy of the Odds signed by both me
- 1:13Speaker 1: and Bob Scucci. We have loads and loads of reviews,
- 1:16Speaker 1: so thank you for that. Later in the show we
- 1:18Speaker 1: will read our favorites, but there can only be one winner.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The listener will be revealed. Also, we are doing another
- 1:28Speaker 1: phrase that pays contest same practice. Go rate and review
- 1:32Speaker 1: the podcast. Use the phrase Simon the Genius professional Better says.

- 1:41Speaker 1: Simon's favorite plays of the year, honest to God. And
- 1:43Speaker 1: you're gonna hear about all these in the podcast, how
- 1:45Speaker 1: important these are, and like these are Simon's massive money plays.
- 1:49Speaker 1: He makes three or four of these every year. You
- 1:51Speaker 1: will get one of them. Use the phrase Simon the

- 2:02Speaker 1: don't forget to listen to the Action Network podcast. We

- 2:18Speaker 1: member of the Action Team, Amanda Rose. Listen to them
- 2:21Speaker 1: all make some money. But now at last, Signon Hunter
- 2:29Speaker 1: and now a word from a wise guy with Simon Hunter.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And I just want people to know I didn't come
- 2:39Speaker 1: up with that humble uh saying calling myself a genius.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm no genius, but I try my best. Simon the
- 2:46Speaker 1: Genius Professional Better says, get it. I did sort of
- 2:50Speaker 1: a little play on. Simon says, I like that. I
- 2:54Speaker 1: do like that. Use that phrase in your review and
- 2:56Speaker 1: you will get one of Simon's favorite players of the year,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and you'll probably want a lot of money. You're on
- 3:00Speaker 1: the beach, or at least you were on the beach today.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I was on the beach. Now I'm back in South Jersey.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I at least I've been able to stay occupied during
- 3:08Speaker 1: this Uh. I tried it tough without for a month,
- 3:11Speaker 1: um and doing nothing, and then I got to the
- 3:13Speaker 1: point where it's like, all right, I just need to
- 3:14Speaker 1: be outside and do something like every time. I can't
- 3:16Speaker 1: just keep looking at my laptop all day every day. Well,
- 3:19Speaker 1: so that's my question, Like, who knows what's going to
- 3:22Speaker 1: happen with the NFL season? Right? So is it hard
- 3:26Speaker 1: to get motivated every day to do the work, to
- 3:29Speaker 1: like get yourself in front of a computer and research.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think it's like what everyone goes through is you
- 3:34Speaker 1: have highs and lows um with whatever you're doing in life,
- 3:37Speaker 1: but when you really love what you do, like I do, Honestly,
- 3:40Speaker 1: the hardest part of My job is the off season
- 3:42Speaker 1: where it's just I'm just itching for games and prepping
- 3:46Speaker 1: for this season, and it's kind of a routine that
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm used to every off season. With this season, I've
- 3:50Speaker 1: had to do I would say, two different models already
- 3:53Speaker 1: on just predicting what lines will be without fans and
- 3:56Speaker 1: which teams will be affected negatively and positively. And it's
- 3:59Speaker 1: really kind have been a world wind where it's taking
- 4:02Speaker 1: a lot of adjustment. It's a lot of unease going
- 4:04Speaker 1: into the season because I'm usually confident in my system
- 4:06Speaker 1: and now with this unknown is coming up, it feels
- 4:09Speaker 1: like it's gonna be a fun, weird adjustment for the
- 4:11Speaker 1: first four weeks of the season. If there is football,
- 4:14Speaker 1: all right, You just used three words that I would
- 4:17Speaker 1: not think about. How Like, if you are a better
- 4:20Speaker 1: and you're a creature of habit trying to figure out
- 4:23Speaker 1: how you're going to make money this year and having
- 4:25Speaker 1: so many unknowns, you use the word fun. What about
- 4:30Speaker 1: any of this? And I'm not judging it in any way,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but like that to me speaks to how much you
- 4:36Speaker 1: love what you're doing. Break that down, Yeah, you gotta
- 4:39Speaker 1: be a little bit of a nerd. If you you
- 4:41Speaker 1: want to do this shift that you just gotta love
- 4:43Speaker 1: numbers and trying to find the little value in the
- 4:47Speaker 1: little niches that people are overlooking. I can give you
- 4:49Speaker 1: an edge and what you're trying to do. I really
- 4:51Speaker 1: enjoyed the sense that it's fun seeing players that I
- 4:54Speaker 1: know we're gonna take a leap for the following the
- 4:56Speaker 1: upcoming season, and then other people aren't seeing that, and
- 4:59Speaker 1: I capitalized and that value on those teams. If you
- 5:02Speaker 1: really don't like numbers and lots of data plugging and pulling,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and I mean it is a grind. I'm not gonna lie,
- 5:10Speaker 1: but it gives you such comfort in the season where
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's like I know what I'm doing, I trust my system.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Where like a funny example was last year during the playoffs,
- 5:18Speaker 1: I gave out to all these lovely fans of ours.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I told him I loved the Titans, and I had
- 5:24Speaker 1: the game of three and a half and I said,
- 5:25Speaker 1: there was value on the money line and this is
- 5:27Speaker 1: against the Ravens in the playoffs. This is there's I
- 5:29Speaker 1: had the number three and a half, so the line
- 5:31Speaker 1: on the market was ten a half eleven, So I
- 5:33Speaker 1: had that confidence for I was putting that number out
- 5:34Speaker 1: and telling people take the Titans, take the Titans money
- 5:37Speaker 1: aline against the Ravens. I might have got maybe like
- 5:39Speaker 1: ten likes on the post and just fifty d M
- 5:42Speaker 1: s or messages saying how a bunch of an idiot
- 5:44Speaker 1: I was, how there's no no smart person would waste
- 5:48Speaker 1: their money on taking the Titans. So obviously the Titans win,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and maybe three of those people message me like a
- 5:54Speaker 1: call like great hit. And the finally week I had
- 5:57Speaker 1: Kansas City as a fourteen point favorite or third team
- 6:00Speaker 1: against the Titans. Same people back in my d M
- 6:03Speaker 1: new idiot, how can you under the Titans like this?
- 6:06Speaker 1: The line seven and a half. There's no way they're
- 6:08Speaker 1: going to beat them by six and a half points.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I think Kansas City was up eighteen and Titans got
- 6:12Speaker 1: a late junk touchdown to put it to eleven. But
- 6:15Speaker 1: it's just one of those where I was dead on
- 6:17Speaker 1: and like if when you see the results like that,
- 6:19Speaker 1: it it pushed like there's days and when I'm struggling
- 6:22Speaker 1: to do it and I don't feel like doing work
- 6:24Speaker 1: and I'm just thinking myself, those are what you live for.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Those moments. So if you see a huge advantage in lines,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and you hit it big and everyone who it's it
- 6:31Speaker 1: with you is just in that zone where holy hell,
- 6:34Speaker 1: that's a great read. So it's a good feeling, alright.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So the purpose of this conversation is to figure out
- 6:39Speaker 1: how you get from this moment now to that moment
- 6:44Speaker 1: at the end of the year where you're so comfortable
- 6:46Speaker 1: that you understand this in a way nobody else's. And
- 6:49Speaker 1: you said, like, one of the things is you look
- 6:52Speaker 1: to see about players you think are going to step
- 6:55Speaker 1: up that nobody else is recognized yet who are some
- 6:58Speaker 1: of those players? How have you identify when you look
- 7:00Speaker 1: at stuff and you're trying to find players of big jumps,
- 7:03Speaker 1: you should always just start with the quarterback, especially when
- 7:05Speaker 1: you're doing systems like this where that is by far
- 7:08Speaker 1: the most important position. Barton one, if if really flips
- 7:11Speaker 1: games and flips lines that in other sports, I mean,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I guess goalie for hockey and pitching for baseball can
- 7:17Speaker 1: have that. But it's incredible how important to the line
- 7:20Speaker 1: a good quarterback is and what you're doing for upcoming season.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to find those dimes in the rough. These
- 7:25Speaker 1: quarterbacks are gonna take that next step and we've already
- 7:28Speaker 1: covered in a couple other ones where Kyler Murray, when
- 7:30Speaker 1: you watch this kid's tape and just all the numbers,
- 7:33Speaker 1: he is a freak. He is truly incredible his style
- 7:37Speaker 1: and in that offense, how it's gonna be opened up.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That's a that's a big one where most of the
- 7:42Speaker 1: fantasy community and the gambling community, they're on the Cardinals.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They see that this kid is the real deal, and
- 7:47Speaker 1: now it's a really hard division, and that's why people
- 7:49Speaker 1: are a little you know, they're backing down from that
- 7:51Speaker 1: because they're saying how they're going to pass the forty
- 7:53Speaker 1: nine and Seahawks. But a kid like Kyler Murray, another
- 7:56Speaker 1: kid like Drew Lock for Denverse. These are kids where
- 7:59Speaker 1: the numbers are saying at the at the end of
- 8:00Speaker 1: the year, once they got over the rookie wall and
- 8:03Speaker 1: they kind of we're able to start slowing games down,
- 8:05Speaker 1: reading the defenses, you should see a huge jump. And
- 8:08Speaker 1: their offenses and their gms have both supported them this offseason,
- 8:13Speaker 1: where Denver's offense has only gotten better, adding two weapons
- 8:16Speaker 1: and a wide receiver and running back. And we're looking
- 8:18Speaker 1: at Arizona adding Dia the best receiver in the league,
- 8:21Speaker 1: So you really have to have confidence in both these
- 8:24Speaker 1: young quarterbacks coming in this season. Al right, So you're
- 8:27Speaker 1: talking about DeAndre Hopkins and and like going to the Cardinals. Now,
- 8:32Speaker 1: you just mentioned every single time you say something, it
- 8:35Speaker 1: brings up a question that I think is like you're
- 8:37Speaker 1: leading me down the path here. You mentioned the Seahawks
- 8:40Speaker 1: and the Niners. You mentioned Kyler Murray and the Cardinals.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Everybody in fantasy and gambling loves Kyler Murray. You said
- 8:46Speaker 1: that everyone in gambles, fantasy and gambling loves the Cardinals.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Right now, do you think there's also some identification of
- 8:54Speaker 1: likely regression for the Seahawks and the Niners because of
- 8:58Speaker 1: what some numbers said about what they did last year
- 9:00Speaker 1: and potentially overperforming. Uh, well, the funny numbers when the
- 9:04Speaker 1: Seahawks just said they were lucky. But it's it's just
- 9:06Speaker 1: because the numbers don't get that. Russell Wilson is arguably
- 9:10Speaker 1: one of the best quarterbacks we've ever seen, and he
- 9:12Speaker 1: just never dies. He's always swinging. He could be down
- 9:15Speaker 1: fourteen and he is just gonna keep running and throwing
- 9:18Speaker 1: deep balls and taking shots. And my system always hates
- 9:22Speaker 1: the Seahawks especially last year. I think then and Uh
- 9:26Speaker 1: it might have been the Browns for the two two
- 9:29Speaker 1: worst reads for me when every week I was on
- 9:31Speaker 1: the wrong side with them. I couldn't couldn't kind of
- 9:33Speaker 1: couldn't hold it down because every year I track how
- 9:36Speaker 1: I do with teams and coaches, and that's a little
- 9:39Speaker 1: it sounds weird, but you will find a few track
- 9:41Speaker 1: different teams and coaches, Like there's certain teams and coaches
- 9:45Speaker 1: that no matter what, you're always gonna be on the
- 9:47Speaker 1: wrong side of. It's just a weird algorithm and the
- 9:50Speaker 1: fact that you're just reading them wrong. And so last
- 9:54Speaker 1: year the Seahawks they had I think it was ten
- 9:57Speaker 1: games asided by seven points or less, and they like
- 10:00Speaker 1: nine of them, and the Cowboys and the options side
- 10:03Speaker 1: of the spectrum were like four in uh four and
- 10:07Speaker 1: seven and seven point games where diesel things flip seasons,
- 10:11Speaker 1: where people are looking at Seahawks coming off all those
- 10:13Speaker 1: wins last year and they're betting them this year thinking
- 10:15Speaker 1: they'll have the same luck, where I'm thinking they won't.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And a different team with the forty niners, is that
- 10:21Speaker 1: their defense, if you look at the numbers, just carried
- 10:25Speaker 1: them for the first eight weeks and when they got
- 10:27Speaker 1: hurt a lot of their d linemen. They kind of
- 10:30Speaker 1: had a lot of games that were close and they
- 10:31Speaker 1: were really blowing teams out and teams are coming back
- 10:33Speaker 1: on them, Like that game they dropped to Atlanta, they
- 10:36Speaker 1: were just banged up at home. Their whole defense was
- 10:38Speaker 1: hurt Atlanta. Atlanta took a tune and they beat him.
- 10:40Speaker 1: When Atlanta was I don't know. I think they were
- 10:42Speaker 1: like three and ten at the time. And that's one
- 10:45Speaker 1: of those things we're looking at the forty niners is
- 10:47Speaker 1: they don't have much turnover their defense, so they should
- 10:50Speaker 1: come back good. But like we were just talking about,
- 10:53Speaker 1: they their final game of the year came down to
- 10:55Speaker 1: one play at the one yard line for them to
- 10:56Speaker 1: get the number one seed instead of being the five seed.
- 10:59Speaker 1: So it's one of those are people I get it
- 11:01Speaker 1: they're gonna back the four niners, but they don't get
- 11:03Speaker 1: how many if they go through all the numbers. They
- 11:04Speaker 1: had so many games where they they flipped and one
- 11:07Speaker 1: at the end of the games where the following year,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you just can't count on those kind of things, right. Well,
- 11:11Speaker 1: I think a lot of people are already thinking about
- 11:13Speaker 1: are the Niners equivalent to the Ramps? You know the
- 11:17Speaker 1: Ramps who two years ago went to the Super Bowl
- 11:19Speaker 1: and the next year like couldn't make the playoffs and
- 11:21Speaker 1: they had such a steep decline. And I've already seen
- 11:25Speaker 1: sort of some Pythagrian theorem columns about the Niners becoming
- 11:31Speaker 1: that kind of team, right, I'm just against it because
- 11:34Speaker 1: with the the Rams, the writing was a little bit
- 11:37Speaker 1: on the wall that they had all these big personalities
- 11:40Speaker 1: and that Super Bowl anger was kind of predictable with them,
- 11:43Speaker 1: Like I think most people were down on them, like
- 11:46Speaker 1: most pros were taking their unders, and I just didn't
- 11:49Speaker 1: really like the way the Rams were coming in the
- 11:51Speaker 1: last season where the four ninners and Shanahan, Yeah, he
- 11:54Speaker 1: chokes in the Super Bowls. I mean, I can't argue
- 11:57Speaker 1: with people on that. He both times he's been the
- 11:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl, he's let teams come back on them and
- 12:01Speaker 1: beat them by not running a good offense. But as
- 12:03Speaker 1: a numbers guy, there's a few teams more fun and
- 12:06Speaker 1: enjoyable doing notes on in the forty Niners and his offense,
- 12:09Speaker 1: his run schemes, I mean he's doing run schemes from
- 12:12Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties and they're working because people just aren't
- 12:15Speaker 1: used to that style on the fullback play that he does.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So I actually still have confidence in them. I just
- 12:19Speaker 1: don't like I think they're all runners ten or ten
- 12:21Speaker 1: and a half. I don't that that's high for me,
- 12:23Speaker 1: so I'll be on their Underbut I do like, I
- 12:25Speaker 1: do still like them compared to what the rams were
- 12:27Speaker 1: the following year. Alright, I got one more question I
- 12:29Speaker 1: want to ask you before we get into the like
- 12:32Speaker 1: nuts and bolts and nitty gritty of like what it's
- 12:35Speaker 1: like to be a professional better and how to do
- 12:37Speaker 1: some of the things you do. Is people start to
- 12:39Speaker 1: think about how do I manage bankroll? How do I
- 12:42Speaker 1: think about putting together a portfolio on a week to
- 12:45Speaker 1: week basis, all those kinds of things you mentioned right
- 12:48Speaker 1: off the top. When you're putting together your rankings right now.
- 12:51Speaker 1: One of the things that's sort of fun and interesting
- 12:53Speaker 1: about this is you're the way you're judging teams and
- 12:58Speaker 1: how they will perform with fans or without fans. How
- 13:01Speaker 1: could you possibly be accounting for that from a numbers
- 13:04Speaker 1: tangible numbers perspective. I think most people do the baseline
- 13:09Speaker 1: of three for home field. So that's the old school.
- 13:13Speaker 1: The line will always put in three points to take
- 13:15Speaker 1: into account for home field advantage. Most people can do
- 13:17Speaker 1: the basic thing where they're looking at teams that are bad,
- 13:20Speaker 1: like the Ings or the Chargers where they don't have
- 13:23Speaker 1: home field or the Dolphins. They don't have regardless of
- 13:27Speaker 1: start with, but it's actually benefiting them because now they're
- 13:29Speaker 1: not getting other teams fans in their stadiums, so teams
- 13:33Speaker 1: likes aren't very good. That's a big boost that have
- 13:36Speaker 1: not having to worry about playing sixty and road games
- 13:38Speaker 1: a year. I mean, that's one of those teams where
- 13:41Speaker 1: some I've talked to some sharp especiallyized in Vegas, and
- 13:44Speaker 1: a lot of these guys are loving where my numbers
- 13:46Speaker 1: say they're gonna push or beyond there. They're loving them
- 13:48Speaker 1: because they love that d line. They think Haskins could
- 13:50Speaker 1: take another take a step you over there where it's
- 13:52Speaker 1: a slow down running offense quick passes, They're not gonna
- 13:56Speaker 1: have to adjust much with crowd noise. I mean, this
- 13:59Speaker 1: is the kids second year, so going from him being
- 14:02Speaker 1: in sixteen road games to just being in a practice
- 14:04Speaker 1: kind of feeling, that's a big deal for Theirs. So
- 14:07Speaker 1: those are the kind of teams where people they need
- 14:09Speaker 1: to go through and try to figure out what's the
- 14:11Speaker 1: weight for the home field to these teams. And like,
- 14:14Speaker 1: the funny thing was, like I I the Seahawks. I
- 14:16Speaker 1: thought that was gonna be a big weight home field
- 14:18Speaker 1: a bans for them. It's actually not as good as
- 14:20Speaker 1: people think. The last three or four years here, a
- 14:22Speaker 1: lot of their home home games are one score games,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and it seems like on the road is when the
- 14:27Speaker 1: Seahawks are really blown teams out. So I actually didn't great,
- 14:30Speaker 1: they didn't. Don't think they made my top five of
- 14:32Speaker 1: like most lost points for home field. The one that
- 14:34Speaker 1: really stuck out was the Chiefs and the Eagles as
- 14:38Speaker 1: teams that lost four or five points for home field,
- 14:41Speaker 1: but at the same time their quarterbacks are gaining then
- 14:44Speaker 1: that much points back, so it's not that big of
- 14:46Speaker 1: a loss, all right. Number one, you can't say the
- 14:48Speaker 1: Redskins anymore. Oh right, I've been under a rock, buddy, Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 1: I know that whole thing is going on. Did they
- 14:55Speaker 1: have a new name yet? I don't think they have
- 14:57Speaker 1: a new name. But Matt Mitchell just bleep out every
- 15:00Speaker 1: single time he says that would be good. All right.
- 15:03Speaker 1: So you mentioned there are five teams and your top
- 15:05Speaker 1: five of sort of biggest losers. When it comes to
- 15:09Speaker 1: no fans, who are they? I had the Bills, the Cowboys,
- 15:13Speaker 1: the Eagles, the Chiefs, and this this one was just
- 15:16Speaker 1: random me because just because do they really have a
- 15:18Speaker 1: home field? But it was the Browns. It doesn't make
- 15:20Speaker 1: sense for the Browns graded out. They play way better
- 15:23Speaker 1: at home than on the road. All right, So the
- 15:26Speaker 1: way you're figuring this house is like, these are the
- 15:28Speaker 1: teams that tend to perform better when they're at home,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and so there is some kind of advantage. Big Way
- 15:35Speaker 1: was sorry, it's comebacks. So I was looking That's what
- 15:38Speaker 1: I was really looking for his teams. I get down
- 15:40Speaker 1: the second or third quarter and then come back at home.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Because I do think that has something to do with
- 15:44Speaker 1: crowd momentum of people champing, because if anyone played sports,
- 15:48Speaker 1: there is a different feeling of your at home and
- 15:50Speaker 1: people are backing you and everyone's with you, and then
- 15:52Speaker 1: you're on the road and everyone hates you and you're
- 15:54Speaker 1: going against them you wanted to hate you. So those
- 15:56Speaker 1: are two really weird different sensations that you motivate athletes.
- 16:00Speaker 1: So that's why I think I said on Twitter the
- 16:02Speaker 1: live betting this year, it's gonna be so weird and
- 16:05Speaker 1: hard to figure out what to do with these teams,
- 16:07Speaker 1: because who knows how teams are gonna play when they're down.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Maybe they just give up because no one, no one cares,
- 16:11Speaker 1: no one's yelling out of, no one's cheering. It's it's
- 16:13Speaker 1: just gonna be weird, all right. So then who are
- 16:15Speaker 1: the teams that gain the most from not having fans.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You've already mentioned the the Voldemort from Washington, the unmentionable,
- 16:24Speaker 1: But who are the teams that get the most benefit.
- 16:26Speaker 1: It's gonna be exactly what people think. It's gonna be
- 16:28Speaker 1: the bad team. So it's gonna be the Miami keep
- 16:31Speaker 1: saying that. I'm so sorry, man, I gotta I gotta
- 16:33Speaker 1: call them whatever their new name is, the Red Tails
- 16:34Speaker 1: or whatever, apologize to me. I'm just kidding with you,
- 16:37Speaker 1: bet I know I feel back because I do know
- 16:39Speaker 1: people are offended by it. I like, I'm not I'm
- 16:41Speaker 1: not trying to be that guy. The Jaguars like these
- 16:45Speaker 1: teams that they never really sell out, like the number
- 16:48Speaker 1: one team was easily the Chargers because they literally haven't
- 16:51Speaker 1: played a home games since they left San Diego, and
- 16:53Speaker 1: it was funny where if they started Tyrod Taylor, I
- 16:56Speaker 1: actually do like they're they're over for the season, but
- 17:00Speaker 1: I don't think that's gonna happen. I don't think Tyrod's
- 17:02Speaker 1: playing alright. I want to get to uh, I want
- 17:04Speaker 1: to get to the one on one here, but first
- 17:06Speaker 1: let me remind everybody that we are doing another phrase
- 17:10Speaker 1: that pays contest save practices last week go rate and
- 17:14Speaker 1: review the podcast using the phrase. Simon the Genius Professional
- 17:18Speaker 1: Better says. Simon the Genius Professional Better says, if we
- 17:23Speaker 1: choose your review, you will win Simon for one week.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You will get one of his favorite plays of the year.
- 17:30Speaker 1: He makes three or four of these plays every year.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You will get one of them. He will give you.
- 17:35Speaker 1: He is a professional better. Simon the Genius Professional Better says,
- 17:39Speaker 1: he is a professional better. He will give you one
- 17:41Speaker 1: of his favorite plays of the year. That is a
- 17:43Speaker 1: real gift. It's a good deal. Um. I gave it
- 17:47Speaker 1: to a guy last year, one of your fans who
- 17:49Speaker 1: was like one of the five people that time. I
- 17:51Speaker 1: found my Twitter account on there when I was tracking
- 17:53Speaker 1: your guys picks and uh, just every week was common
- 17:57Speaker 1: all my stuff and I said, hey man, I gotta,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I gotta one can put your whole account on it's
- 18:01Speaker 1: gonna hit. And uh, I just felt it's just a
- 18:03Speaker 1: good feeling and these like you know, normal people reach
- 18:05Speaker 1: out there just like thank you so much, Like I
- 18:07Speaker 1: just paid rent for this must it's a good feeling,
- 18:09Speaker 1: all right. Listen, normal people are reaching out all the time,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and they're listening right now. When you are becoming a
- 18:15Speaker 1: professional better, what is the best first habit you need
- 18:19Speaker 1: to develop? So there there there are so many and
- 18:23Speaker 1: like I've always told people, you always need to be
- 18:25Speaker 1: learning and evolving in this field. There is no right method.
- 18:29Speaker 1: And people, more often than not that've been in long
- 18:32Speaker 1: enough they'll have good advice for you there. If they've
- 18:34Speaker 1: been doing it for long enough and they've made it
- 18:36Speaker 1: through everything, they're gonna be pretty good at what they
- 18:38Speaker 1: do because there's not many of us that do this.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Um My first advice I ever got was to realize
- 18:43Speaker 1: that you're the one that has the control, your in power.
- 18:46Speaker 1: You don't have to do anything you don't want to do.
- 18:49Speaker 1: The sports book isn't making you go there, you don't
- 18:51Speaker 1: have to bet that game. You need to really, if
- 18:54Speaker 1: you want to take this serious and you want to
- 18:56Speaker 1: through this as a part time hobby that you want
- 18:58Speaker 1: to make extra mindy aside, you realize you need to
- 19:01Speaker 1: pick and choose your spot. You can't be waking up
- 19:03Speaker 1: every morning betting the same amount in every single game.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I know a lot of people are using the one
- 19:08Speaker 1: unit method, Like you have a hundred units whatever your
- 19:10Speaker 1: bank roll list, and these people just each game, they're
- 19:13Speaker 1: using one unit on each game. That's not how you're
- 19:16Speaker 1: gonna make money doing what we do. You need to
- 19:20Speaker 1: There's gonna be times where I'll have a game, I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: gonna put a grand on it, and then if I'm
- 19:25Speaker 1: watching this basketball game he's upcoming basketball games, I might
- 19:27Speaker 1: throw fifty or twenty dollars on that. You need to
- 19:29Speaker 1: know how to manage your money. And that's the most
- 19:31Speaker 1: important part for starting out, is that we're trying to
- 19:34Speaker 1: build a bank roll. You're not like these people that
- 19:37Speaker 1: tweet out these guys winning millions and hundreds of thousand dollars.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's not you. That's that's barely point zero zero one
- 19:43Speaker 1: percent of the people that gamble. Those that's not the
- 19:46Speaker 1: right mentality, and you need to have the tide of grinding,
- 19:49Speaker 1: because that's what this is. It's a grind when you
- 19:51Speaker 1: start out because you're trying to build a bank roll
- 19:54Speaker 1: something you can use on the side of your life
- 19:56Speaker 1: that's not gonna affect everything you do in normal life.
- 19:58Speaker 1: So when started out, I mean I told you, I
- 20:02Speaker 1: lost I mean from I mean I started really young.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I lost from probably six or seven years, and so
- 20:08Speaker 1: I met the right people who could kind of guide
- 20:10Speaker 1: me and told me that you're you're missing the whole
- 20:12Speaker 1: part of this. Where gut betters, they sure they do well, um,
- 20:17Speaker 1: but if you build a system, something you can trust,
- 20:20Speaker 1: it just gives you such a piece of mind that
- 20:22Speaker 1: you know that you're you've put the time and effort
- 20:24Speaker 1: into something that's telling you what to do. You're not
- 20:27Speaker 1: having to just sit there and say, oh, this team
- 20:29Speaker 1: looked terrible last week. They can't they can't play good
- 20:32Speaker 1: again this week. Like gut betting, is really tough to
- 20:34Speaker 1: build a bank roll off because what you need is
- 20:38Speaker 1: you need to basically you're you're trying to find an
- 20:42Speaker 1: edge every week, especially I mean especially in football, where
- 20:46Speaker 1: it's a limited time. We're only sixteen games a week,
- 20:49Speaker 1: most of them are on the one day of the week.
- 20:52Speaker 1: So I told you early on I bet every game
- 20:55Speaker 1: because I find value in every game. But there's gonna
- 20:57Speaker 1: be games where I've lined that up as because of
- 21:00Speaker 1: my system that this is where the big, big money
- 21:02Speaker 1: discrepancy is. So I'm gonna hit that game fifteen to
- 21:06Speaker 1: twenty times. And the way it is in New Jersey
- 21:08Speaker 1: now is we have I'm not sure that number. Now,
- 21:11Speaker 1: we might have seventeen online sports books. So instead of
- 21:16Speaker 1: putting all my money just into one account and these
- 21:18Speaker 1: people eventually are gonna ban me after two months, you
- 21:21Speaker 1: spread it all out. Instead of putting seventeen thousand on
- 21:23Speaker 1: one game, you put a thousand and each web on
- 21:25Speaker 1: each app, and you just diversify what you're betting instead
- 21:29Speaker 1: of putting it all on one app where they're gonna
- 21:31Speaker 1: flag you. These guys, I learned really early in Vegas.
- 21:36Speaker 1: This is this is this is their job. Their jobs,
- 21:38Speaker 1: a lot of these guys, these bookmakers, is to find
- 21:40Speaker 1: guys like you and get you out because you're hurting.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You're hurting their bottom line because you have an edge,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and don't they don't want people of edges that they
- 21:48Speaker 1: want the guy coming off the street for the bachelor
- 21:51Speaker 1: party with a bunch of buddies and they're gonna throw
- 21:53Speaker 1: some money on some horse racing. So you need to
- 21:56Speaker 1: know going in that like, bookmakers are cool. I've met
- 21:59Speaker 1: plenty of guys who wrote books that are just like
- 22:01Speaker 1: good dudes who were doing a job. But you need
- 22:04Speaker 1: to have a Kobe mentality where you're literally playing these
- 22:08Speaker 1: guys one on one. You're not going against other people.
- 22:10Speaker 1: That's what's so funny the gambling community. People get mad
- 22:12Speaker 1: at you for losing a winning it's really all in
- 22:15Speaker 1: this together, going against the bookmakers. It's not against each other.
- 22:19Speaker 1: That's what's really funny with the gambling community, especially on Twitter.
- 22:23Speaker 1: So you went two different directions, and so I want
- 22:27Speaker 1: to separate a little bit, like the you bet as
- 22:32Speaker 1: a professional and you're betting at scale, and but you
- 22:37Speaker 1: you you sort of made a really good point in
- 22:39Speaker 1: the beginning that a lot of people are grinding at
- 22:43Speaker 1: this just like as a fun thing, and they shouldn't
- 22:45Speaker 1: expect you put fifty bucks down and you're gonna end up.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You know, someone who's winning one point one million on
- 22:52Speaker 1: Colin Markawa, right, and so um so. But you also said,
- 22:59Speaker 1: like you put together a system. Most people are not professional.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Most people are not going to have the time to
- 23:04Speaker 1: put together a system. So how would you recommend to
- 23:07Speaker 1: people they start thinking about managing bank roll if they're
- 23:11Speaker 1: doing this in a casual way, they're new to betting,
- 23:13Speaker 1: they're they're in a state where it's newly legal, they're
- 23:15Speaker 1: in New Jersey, Illinois, Colorado or whatever, and they're just
- 23:18Speaker 1: sort of coming to the game a little bit. And
- 23:20Speaker 1: that's really simple. Where there's gaglan is kind of blown up.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Now there's so many people you can go to advice
- 23:26Speaker 1: and you can check off if if they're losing a
- 23:28Speaker 1: bunch and their lines saying they're winning blah blah blah.
- 23:31Speaker 1: You check this people off and you move on to
- 23:33Speaker 1: the next person, because if you don't have the time,
- 23:35Speaker 1: what you're trying to find is someone that you trust
- 23:36Speaker 1: and is reliable giving out picks because they've put the
- 23:40Speaker 1: time and work in. And if you like, say I
- 23:43Speaker 1: like the Eagles one weekend, the guy I followed doesn't
- 23:45Speaker 1: he likes the other side. Maybe I just don't take
- 23:48Speaker 1: that side, maybe because I trust them instead of taking
- 23:50Speaker 1: the other side, I just don't do anything. And that's
- 23:52Speaker 1: what I was getting back to that if people don't
- 23:55Speaker 1: understand how much power they have and picking and choosing,
- 23:57Speaker 1: It's like there might be weeks during the NFL's season
- 24:00Speaker 1: that I might only have forty grand out and then
- 24:02Speaker 1: two weeks later, I might have two KO because I'm
- 24:05Speaker 1: there's so many games I love and I always know.
- 24:08Speaker 1: That's why I don't really force things, especially if I
- 24:10Speaker 1: have a losing weekend, I could care less, because you
- 24:13Speaker 1: have to have the mentality that you're going to get
- 24:16Speaker 1: it back. And if you chase, if you're doing live
- 24:19Speaker 1: betting on the Sunday night football game, you're already lost.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You already you already losing, no matter even if you win,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you're gonna lose that money the next night. If you
- 24:26Speaker 1: find yourself chasing, this isn't something you should be doing,
- 24:30Speaker 1: because that's how people going to a spiral when they
- 24:33Speaker 1: go to gambling anonymous, because they're always chasing that whatever
- 24:36Speaker 1: they start out losing, they're always chasing getting that back.
- 24:39Speaker 1: And you can't have that mentality where every week is
- 24:42Speaker 1: a new week. You kind of throw out the losses
- 24:45Speaker 1: and you start fresh you have a clear mind, it's
- 24:47Speaker 1: way easier and not to force things because you just
- 24:50Speaker 1: have to keep trusting that things are gonna work out. Now,
- 24:53Speaker 1: asking me about how people get involved the systems is
- 24:56Speaker 1: you can go online and you can find people that
- 24:58Speaker 1: have built systems and you can take those to SIMS
- 25:00Speaker 1: and tweak it and update them. But it's hard to
- 25:03Speaker 1: figure out what the right things to be looking for.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I mean, it took me like three years of like legit,
- 25:10Speaker 1: working my ass off on it to get it right.
- 25:12Speaker 1: And you have to really do that and then trust
- 25:16Speaker 1: it and no one not to trust it. Like I
- 25:18Speaker 1: talked to you about at the time, it's a system.
- 25:20Speaker 1: It's a computer. It doesn't know that Tom Brady is
- 25:23Speaker 1: the best quarterback ever, doesn't know that Patrick Mahomes is
- 25:25Speaker 1: the next goat so and that's super Bowl my system
- 25:29Speaker 1: like San Frme. But like I told you, I'm not
- 25:31Speaker 1: going against my homes that there's something going on here
- 25:34Speaker 1: with this kid just can't lose. He just keeps coming
- 25:36Speaker 1: back and it worked out going against my system. But
- 25:39Speaker 1: I don't do that all the time. There's just certain
- 25:40Speaker 1: times you have to go against the computer. I love
- 25:43Speaker 1: the idea of this phrase that you have, that you
- 25:46Speaker 1: have the power, because I don't think a lot of betters.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of amateur betters, and this
- 25:52Speaker 1: is really who this conversation is for. I don't think
- 25:55Speaker 1: they think about it that way. I think when you
- 25:58Speaker 1: were new to betting, you think give it as the
- 26:00Speaker 1: bookmakers have the power, or there are professional betters who
- 26:03Speaker 1: know more than I do. It is a scary, wondrous,
- 26:07Speaker 1: intimidating place. The I it that you make the choice
- 26:13Speaker 1: and you do not have to bet holds incredible sway
- 26:17Speaker 1: people when they start out, the worst thing that happened
- 26:19Speaker 1: to you is if you win, because you think yourself,
- 26:22Speaker 1: this is pretty easy. This is my first time doing
- 26:24Speaker 1: sports betting for the first month, and I'm up a
- 26:26Speaker 1: grander two and it kind of gives you the false
- 26:29Speaker 1: sense of security where it doesn't work that way. Most
- 26:32Speaker 1: even the best pros I know that they're gonna lose,
- 26:35Speaker 1: They're gonna have down years, and it's kind of one
- 26:38Speaker 1: of those where it mix your hard like like I
- 26:40Speaker 1: I'll win big, and it's it's a fun feeling, but
- 26:43Speaker 1: it's a fleeting one where it's like, Okay, what am
- 26:45Speaker 1: I gonna do next week. So it's a fun and
- 26:49Speaker 1: grinding feeling of you're always looking for that next game.
- 26:53Speaker 1: So these people that they don't realize they have the
- 26:56Speaker 1: power in the sense that I'm a dejenuor two man,
- 26:58Speaker 1: I'd like betting twenty here and there on different sports games.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It's fun. Like if you're chilling at home watching a game,
- 27:04Speaker 1: it's nice, You're gonna throw a couple of dollars on
- 27:06Speaker 1: it and either can get free dinner that night or
- 27:08Speaker 1: you're buying you and your wife double. So you need
- 27:11Speaker 1: to understand that people are gonna give out games and
- 27:13Speaker 1: they're gonna say, I love this one, this is a
- 27:15Speaker 1: big one. And those are the ones where you're not
- 27:17Speaker 1: just gonna do your twentyl I bet on, You're gonna risk,
- 27:19Speaker 1: You're gonna take that hundred dollar. Because where I'm where
- 27:22Speaker 1: I've gotten, I didn't get here without taking big risks.
- 27:24Speaker 1: There weren't times where I'm putting half of my bank
- 27:27Speaker 1: roll onto a game and it I've lost those and
- 27:30Speaker 1: it's like, holy ship, man, I just worked two years
- 27:33Speaker 1: to get that money and now I just lost half
- 27:35Speaker 1: of it. But the more you learn from those losses,
- 27:38Speaker 1: the longer you do it. It's it's one of those
- 27:41Speaker 1: where you don't really think about it because it's just
- 27:44Speaker 1: they think all these pros do these things where they
- 27:46Speaker 1: make maybe two or three big bets here and that's
- 27:48Speaker 1: all they do. That's not true at all. I mean,
- 27:50Speaker 1: most professionals, they're gonna have action on every sport. We
- 27:53Speaker 1: watch everything. We love sports, but we're what makes us
- 27:56Speaker 1: so good is that we take these big risk on
- 27:58Speaker 1: games we know we have a big advantage off. When
- 28:01Speaker 1: did it transition for you? When did it go from
- 28:04Speaker 1: betting fifty to a hundred dollars a game? And that
- 28:07Speaker 1: was either comfortable or seemed like a lot to all
- 28:10Speaker 1: of a sudden, I've got two hundred grand to play
- 28:12Speaker 1: on the weekend and I'm not even flinching like that
- 28:15Speaker 1: took a while to grow. Um like I got. I
- 28:18Speaker 1: was lucky where I had a job young, Like I
- 28:20Speaker 1: think I told you, I worked in TV. I was nineteen,
- 28:22Speaker 1: so I had money early on, and I wasn't really
- 28:25Speaker 1: spending money because I was getting paid they'll travel with
- 28:27Speaker 1: the company and living hotels. And when I snumbled into it,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I had over probably like fifteen thousand to play with.
- 28:34Speaker 1: When I started out and it was grinding. I really
- 28:37Speaker 1: wasn't getting much from it. And then as I built
- 28:39Speaker 1: my system, I would say, by like twenty eleven twelve,
- 28:42Speaker 1: I kind of grew that to about forty and it
- 28:46Speaker 1: was still slow grind because I was scared. I wouldn't
- 28:49Speaker 1: lie to you, like I was scared to put a
- 28:50Speaker 1: large steak into certain games because there's nothing like that.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I mean. The biggest bet early on for me was
- 28:57Speaker 1: that Denver, Carolina Super Bowl for Peyton Man who had
- 29:01Speaker 1: a dead arm. Cam Newton was m VP, just out
- 29:04Speaker 1: of body experience how good he was. I looked at
- 29:07Speaker 1: the numbers in Denver's defense was grated out off the charts,
- 29:11Speaker 1: is like one of the greatest defenses you could ever have.
- 29:14Speaker 1: The Monday the lines came out, I went in, I
- 29:16Speaker 1: hit three casinos in Vegas. I put big steaks, and
- 29:19Speaker 1: I had a couple of runners running and do a
- 29:20Speaker 1: couple more bets on it. I probably didn't sleep five
- 29:23Speaker 1: days leading up to that Super Bowl. I just was
- 29:25Speaker 1: sweating anxiety. That one of my thinking Campton's God, he
- 29:29Speaker 1: is the greatest quarterback I've ever seen. And it got
- 29:32Speaker 1: to the point where, right before you even kicked off
- 29:34Speaker 1: I was said to myself, I don't know, I came
- 29:36Speaker 1: and watched this. I came and watched this game. So
- 29:38Speaker 1: I think I spent the first half of my buddy's
- 29:40Speaker 1: bathroom just watching like Yahoo Sports or something on my phone.
- 29:45Speaker 1: And I came out and I was just like, this
- 29:47Speaker 1: is gonna happen like this, this defense, this is this
- 29:51Speaker 1: is what's gonna do it. So that was the biggest
- 29:53Speaker 1: risk I took back then and say I hadn't, I
- 29:57Speaker 1: probably wouldn't have half of what my bank roll is
- 29:59Speaker 1: now because that gave me. That gave me enough money
- 30:02Speaker 1: where the following season I could really pick my spots
- 30:04Speaker 1: where I would have games where I could play tan
- 30:06Speaker 1: k on instead of doing what I was doing with
- 30:08Speaker 1: like two K or three K, like my bank roll,
- 30:11Speaker 1: doubling it. That's the key to doing what we do
- 30:13Speaker 1: here is that if you double up, you can keep
- 30:15Speaker 1: losing these one little one unit place each week. That's
- 30:18Speaker 1: not gonna hurt you as long as you're hitting these
- 30:20Speaker 1: big money plays three to four a year, like we're
- 30:24Speaker 1: talking our business that you do three. So if you
- 30:26Speaker 1: go two and one or three and oh, you're done.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You're done in your big bets for the season, doesn't
- 30:30Speaker 1: matter if you have another one coming up that you're
- 30:32Speaker 1: like this lines off. You have to have that maturity
- 30:35Speaker 1: and mentality just not to do it. You got you
- 30:37Speaker 1: gotta sit down because you've already run your luck that season.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Three oh and big bets. That's like I mean, every
- 30:42Speaker 1: I would say every four years, I might get that.
- 30:44Speaker 1: But if you don't, say you're you're one and two,
- 30:47Speaker 1: you gotta do it. You gotta go for the fourth.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So now you're two and two, you have to play
- 30:50Speaker 1: the fifth one. You need to try to get above
- 30:53Speaker 1: the green, and if you don't, you just bounce back
- 30:56Speaker 1: the found season. That's why, like I tell you, you
- 30:57Speaker 1: can't really you can get down on losses, but in
- 31:00Speaker 1: this business you have to just accept you're gonna to lose,
- 31:02Speaker 1: and we all lose. It doesn't matter how good you are,
- 31:05Speaker 1: how good you're reading things, You're gonna lose because it's
- 31:07Speaker 1: a sport. It's unknown, all right. So that's a very
- 31:10Speaker 1: good reminder that if people want one of these three
- 31:14Speaker 1: massive bets of the year, they have to go in
- 31:16Speaker 1: and use the phrase. Simon the Genius Professional Better says
- 31:20Speaker 1: in a review of the podcast, and Simon will give
- 31:23Speaker 1: you one of those if we choose your review if
- 31:25Speaker 1: we like it, a lot um to two themes stick
- 31:29Speaker 1: out and that is a fascinating story. That Bronco story
- 31:31Speaker 1: is fascinating, but also sort of the way you translate
- 31:34Speaker 1: that and sort of the inner workings of the business
- 31:36Speaker 1: where there are guys, sort of the conversations you're having
- 31:40Speaker 1: with professional betters about sort of like you're playing three
- 31:42Speaker 1: to five big ones, right. If you're doing well, you
- 31:44Speaker 1: walk away. If you're not, you push it a little bit,
- 31:47Speaker 1: but you don't get crazy. Which leads me to two
- 31:50Speaker 1: things that I think it's important for people to understand.
- 31:54Speaker 1: One discipline, like how do you develop the discipline and
- 31:59Speaker 1: how how do you sort of live with potential regret
- 32:03Speaker 1: when you are someone who needs to be betting the
- 32:07Speaker 1: way you are. Uh, the discipline part is really hard.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. It took me a while to
- 32:15Speaker 1: get over because I had the same thing where I
- 32:16Speaker 1: would get piste and I chase if if games weren't
- 32:19Speaker 1: going my way, especially the four o'clock games, I would
- 32:21Speaker 1: get mad and I would chase. And I think it's
- 32:24Speaker 1: over time that you realize if you're just chilling your patient.
- 32:26Speaker 1: You're gonna get that money back. It's that's like we
- 32:29Speaker 1: go back to you're in complete control. And if you
- 32:31Speaker 1: can just say that, like take a deep breath, say
- 32:34Speaker 1: I'm I read this wrong terribly, I'm not gonna read
- 32:37Speaker 1: it better here if I keep chasing, let me just
- 32:39Speaker 1: wait until next week and get this back. That's such
- 32:42Speaker 1: a huge thing because like we were talking, once you
- 32:44Speaker 1: start chasing, it just spirals and you you're going against yourself,
- 32:48Speaker 1: your your question, your own judgment. And it's one of
- 32:51Speaker 1: those where I can, honestly, there's games I bet I can,
- 32:53Speaker 1: like a minute in you can already feel that you're
- 32:55Speaker 1: like I'm on the wrong side. Like nothing's gonna change
- 32:58Speaker 1: this game. This team hasn't momentum. There's them their practice
- 33:01Speaker 1: this week, everything they did for preparation this week, it's
- 33:03Speaker 1: just right, and I'm on the wrong side. I don't
- 33:06Speaker 1: really sweat it because, like I know, we had this
- 33:09Speaker 1: whole thing where people yell at players and they getting
- 33:12Speaker 1: mad at players and especially fans in the stadium. I've
- 33:15Speaker 1: never really had that where I always put the blame
- 33:17Speaker 1: on myself, where it's it's not these guys fault. I
- 33:20Speaker 1: believe them that I misread them, and it's one of
- 33:22Speaker 1: those you you always have to just look at yourself.
- 33:24Speaker 1: If you misread a game, it's not because of anything
- 33:27Speaker 1: it's going on with these teams or what. It's because
- 33:29Speaker 1: you just read it wrong. You didn't put the time
- 33:31Speaker 1: in and you misstepped or overlook something and it just
- 33:34Speaker 1: didn't work out. Where too many people put too much passion.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I know fans stands for a fanatic, but you just
- 33:40Speaker 1: need to take a step back and think to yourself,
- 33:42Speaker 1: am I really mad at all these players and I
- 33:43Speaker 1: really blaming other people for my problems? Or am I
- 33:45Speaker 1: gonna take my own woes and think to myself, all right,
- 33:48Speaker 1: I need to improve. It's my own fault of these mistakes.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Phenomenal advice, Simon, Like this was a lesson. The last
- 33:56Speaker 1: twenty minutes of this podcast have been a lesson in
- 33:58Speaker 1: sort of new betters should be looking at this. By
- 34:02Speaker 1: the way, whether they're betting five bucks or five times,
- 34:07Speaker 1: it's all the same. It's all the same. And that's
- 34:11Speaker 1: what I want people to understand is that you're seeing
- 34:14Speaker 1: all these people who are making all this money. You
- 34:16Speaker 1: can't really think that way. You need to just focus
- 34:18Speaker 1: on yourself and try to build your own bankroll, because
- 34:21Speaker 1: once you do that, you can just turn like like
- 34:24Speaker 1: I talked to guys who are stock investors all the
- 34:25Speaker 1: time and if someone can do with the stock, and
- 34:28Speaker 1: they said, hey, if you buy the stock, it's gonna
- 34:30Speaker 1: double your money by tomorrow. People would buy that stock
- 34:33Speaker 1: and they'd be into that, And I tried to tell
- 34:34Speaker 1: them it's the same thing as sports betting, where you
- 34:36Speaker 1: were giving your getting something that you can double your
- 34:38Speaker 1: money or do whatever with it. And if you can
- 34:41Speaker 1: find and pick those spots, it's such a profitable, easy
- 34:45Speaker 1: thing to do on the side hustle, especially nowadays. We
- 34:47Speaker 1: we're just talking. You guys have tons of writers or
- 34:49Speaker 1: Reaction Network. It's there. Literally their job is gambling in sports.
- 34:54Speaker 1: They're trying to win you money. If these people could
- 34:56Speaker 1: find these people on trust them, you don't need to
- 34:58Speaker 1: waste your time trying to study and do stuff like that.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You have people that are doing it for you and
- 35:01Speaker 1: you can just do a side hustle making money off
- 35:04Speaker 1: these people. And that's the best thing about sports betting.
- 35:06Speaker 1: It's it's just like giving your money to a stock investor.
- 35:09Speaker 1: It's like These people are taking your money and doubling
- 35:11Speaker 1: it for you. That's what you're looking for in sports betting, Simon,
- 35:14Speaker 1: how do you think I bet all two hundred and
- 35:16Speaker 1: fifty six games last year and one in a fifty clever.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I'm not doing research. I'm just listening to what our
- 35:20Speaker 1: guys say. I'm listening to you. I'm listening to the
- 35:23Speaker 1: Action Network and I he're Stucky and Chris Raybon on
- 35:26Speaker 1: their podcast talking about betting in the podcast that comes
- 35:28Speaker 1: out every Thursday. That's all I'm doing. It's it's and
- 35:32Speaker 1: that's all you need. It's all you like. You don't
- 35:34Speaker 1: need to be stressing about these things. And like I said,
- 35:37Speaker 1: if if they have a game they're on and you
- 35:39Speaker 1: are on the other side, just don't take the other
- 35:41Speaker 1: side and don't take the side there on. You just
- 35:43Speaker 1: really can sit that one out and play until you
- 35:45Speaker 1: do match up on them and you do have the
- 35:46Speaker 1: same alignment with them. Because it's pretty simple. It's that
- 35:49Speaker 1: people just like action. And like I said earlier on,
- 35:51Speaker 1: if you like action, just put twenty on that game
- 35:53Speaker 1: instead of putting fifty. You just want to maximize your money,
- 35:57Speaker 1: like you don't want to just be thrown away and
- 35:58Speaker 1: giving away. Simon, you are a professional better. You are
- 36:03Speaker 1: a genius professional better, and you're our professional better. And
- 36:07Speaker 1: two weeks ago, folks, two weeks ago, remember Scooch made

- 37:28Speaker 1: who is incredibly insightful and Canada. Not only does Scooch
- 37:31Speaker 1: give good information on the podcast, but he also has
- 37:33Speaker 1: transformed my view of people who run sports books. Look
- 37:36Speaker 1: at Scooch doing that. Chad is also on the podcast,
- 37:39Speaker 1: which is nice of him to say, But seriously, Chad
- 37:42Speaker 1: is an entertaining small cast of guests. Now, Simon Hunter
- 37:46Speaker 1: is one of them. He's a great interviewer and he
- 37:48Speaker 1: leaves us with pearls of wisdom, like the right side
- 37:52Speaker 1: is the winning side. Signmon, you're gonna get a with
- 37:55Speaker 1: you like that because someone's gonna want one of your place.

- 38:01Speaker 1: us every week, and I'm super excited like you were
