- 0:32Sean McAllister: Plus, we chat Vegas visitation as summer starts to creep in.
- 0:36Dayna Roselli: We have this and tons more to talk about coming up now on Vegas Reveal.
- 0:42Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 318.
- 0:46Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 0:49Sean McAllister: What's up, Dana?
- 0:50Dayna Roselli: I know it's uh, well, the the day that this is dropping is really the last day of April.
- 0:54Dayna Roselli: We move right into May soon.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: So what's up is we've had a busy April and we have a majorly busy May coming up.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: Just this weekend, though, I know I saw you at Cindy Lauper, and then we had high tea at the Waldorf Astoria, and we each did a lot more than that.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: So we're recording this on a Monday and we're a little sleepy.
- 1:14Sean McAllister: We are, because it has just been go, go, go.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: And by the way, among the things that I did, um stopped into uh old red, Blake Shelton's honky tonk, uh, before going to Cindy Lopper over at Caesar's Palace, and they've got a brand new menu over there.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 1:33Sean McAllister: Among the things, I had a Smash Burger, which was absolutely delicious.
- 1:37Sean McAllister: But for the table, we also uh got this meal board that has it has ribs on there, it has some sausage links on there.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: It's got a lot, definitely enough for like four people to get plenty.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: So you had a meal board and a smash burger?
- 1:54Sean McAllister: I did, but we had we had a bunch of people who were picking at things.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: So and I I was like, well, I hope you ran to Cindy Lauper.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Did you run to Cindy Lopper across the street?
- 2:04Sean McAllister: Well, I we did I didn't run, but definitely had a brisk walk and had to walk back because we parked over at Horseshoe, um, which is there kind of right behind Old Red, yeah, the old Bally's.
- 2:18Sean McAllister: And um, so I definitely got some steps in.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: Okay, good.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: Well, meanwhile, I was at Brasserie B, my favorite like restaurant bar to go to before a show.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: Did you sit at the bar?
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: I sat at the bar.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: We always sit at the bar.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: Me and my friend Melissa, when she comes to me uh with me to a show, we always go to Brasserie B.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: We love their martinis with the um blue cheese stuffed olives because they they stuffed them there and they have it's their own blue cheese.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: So we've talked about that.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: And then we got the blue cheese and chips.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: So it's so good.
- 2:46Sean McAllister: It's like their signature snack.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: Yes, it's their signature snack.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: And we got um the beef uh carpaccio.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: Oh no, beef tartare.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: And we that was delicious too.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: Just a little something to snack on before the show.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: We were late for Cindy Lauper because I thought, like most shows, that Cindy probably wouldn't start till 8:15, but she was like right on target.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: She was on.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: She was like, okay, we are getting this show started.
- 3:08Sean McAllister: We're gonna get through it.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: And what I missed was uh I came in right after it started, but I did miss that opening montage, and I was looking at the video that you got, and I was just like, gosh, Cindy is so iconic.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Um, and just listening to all her hits.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Then I went to see the Michael um movie, and they name-dropped Cindy Lopper in the Michael movie, and I'm like, Cindy really is iconic, and especially her part in like even the song We Are the World.
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: Yes, you know what I mean?
- 3:37Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Just she just is yeah, got a great voice.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: So I was excited.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: I've actually never seen her perform live ever, and I know you said you've interviewed her, but haven't seen her perform either.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, I interviewed her for uh because she did the music in uh Kinky Boots, the musical.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: So I interviewed her when that musical uh debuted on tour here at the Smith Center, uh, which is the performing arts center where a lot of the touring Broadway shows come.
- 4:05Sean McAllister: Um, and talked to her then.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: She was fantastic, loved it, but I had never seen her like do her her pop music.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: And it was she's just so iconic.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: The her like time after time, true colors, like they're they're giving me goosebumps even thinking about it now, because that's those are like some of my earliest I don't know, music uh memories or imprints, I guess.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: Because that's the early days of MTV.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: Where we could vi visualize things.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: I remember those music videos were on all the time.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: I mean, the girls just want to have fun video.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: We watched over and over and over again, and we actually didn't have cable, and there was a video network um on regular TV, and they would play that all the time.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: And a lot of hers, a lot of Olivia Newton John.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: I remember and I love that we used to be able to have more videos and visualize songs, you know.
- 4:57Sean McAllister: I mean, that was kind of like MTV back in the day and video channels like that used to be like our that was kind of our YouTube.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 5:07Sean McAllister: That's where we went to hear music and like you said, have the visuals to go along with it.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: So, Cindy, first of all, a lot of times when we go to shows, and I hate to say this because but I don't know, I feel like it's the journalism in the background.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: They're always like, How old is you don't look it up before you go, but you see you're looking at Cindy on stage and you're thinking, How old is Cindy Lauper?
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: Because she's look at her, she's incredible.
- 5:32Sean McAllister: And she's going back and forth across the stage at the Coliseum at Caesar's Palace, and that is a big stage.
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: Yes, huge.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: And then we looked it up and she's 72, and we're like, no way.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: Good for Cindy because she looks fabulous.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: She really enjoys to storytell.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: She did talk a lot in this show.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: By the way, if you're listening, um and you happen to be listening to this on the day that it drops, she does have shows Friday and Saturday at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace, the first and second of May.
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: Um, after that, there's no plan, uh no other planned shows.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: But this was kind of like her farewell tour, but just kind of planted here in Vegas for a slew of shows.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: Right, because she's been on tour.
- 6:14Sean McAllister: Um, and so this kind of like capped it off.
- 6:17Sean McAllister: So that's really why I was excited to go and see Cindy in these shows, because we don't know if she's gonna come back.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: I mean, like Cher always says it's her farewell tour.
- 6:30Sean McAllister: And I mean, she's been on what, 12 farewell tours at this point.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 6:34Sean McAllister: Which good on her.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: I love it when Cher comes back.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's always exciting.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: But you never know when an artist says it's the final call, you you gotta be there because you never know if they're coming back again.
- 6:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, but she should.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: She's just great.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she was great.
- 6:50Sean McAllister: She does sounded amazing.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: Sounded amazing.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: She does talk a lot.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: If you're not into that, but I feel like this show's for her fans.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: You know how usually we say, okay, if I left this show, you know, was it like this big Vegas show?
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: She does have very Vegasy moments in it, but I did feel like um this was really a show built for her fans, and and the theater was packed and people loved it.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: Um, she didn't sing all through the night, which is one of my favorites.
- 7:18Dayna Roselli: I was a little bummed.
- 7:19Dayna Roselli: So, oh well.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: It's on my rotation of my playlist.
- 7:22Dayna Roselli: She can't sing everything, she got a lot of hits.
- 7:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, and you may have seen uh some headlines going around about uh Cindy's show where she like put an audience member in their place because, like you said, Dana, she was talking and telling a story about her upbringing and about like where she came from and her life experience that brought her to the place where she is now.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: Right and the things that influenced her.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: And she was introducing a song and she was telling the background of why the song, I forget the name, pigeon had pigeons in it, I think.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: Um but yeah.
- 7:55Sean McAllister: Uh Sammy's Pigeons.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: Sally's Sally's Pigeons.
- 7:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, second pigeons is what it was.
- 8:00Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 8:01Sean McAllister: Um, so she was talking about her upbringing in you know, in New York City and uh Queens, I think she's from.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: Brooklyn.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: Brooklyn, okay.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: And uh so anyway, yes, an audience member interrupted her.
- 8:16Sean McAllister: She said, I'm gonna talk if I wanna talk.
- 8:18Dayna Roselli: She threw it down an F-bomb.
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: I was like, You go, girl.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: She said, I'm gonna tap dance as long as I if I want to tap dance.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: Like, and she said, Do you know where you are?
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: You're at my show.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: Exactly, basically, is what she was saying.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Good for you, Cindy.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: So we were there that night and we saw all that go down, and I think the audience was overwhelmingly on Cindy's side.
- 8:38Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: Um, but she was.
- 8:40Sean McAllister: It was great to see her.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: If you are listening to this as uh the podcast drops and you are able to go and see her on May 1st or 2nd over at the Coliseum, uh definitely do.
- 8:54Sean McAllister: She's an icon.
- 8:56Sean McAllister: She's she's Cindy.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: She's Cindy.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: Girls just want to have fun.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: She ends on that.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, we did go to the Waldorf Astoria, and it's called Peacock Alley, uh, for high tea, afternoon tea, I guess you'd call it.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: Um, on Sunday to celebrate Sean's husband's birthday.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: And we planned it with a group of people.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: It was super fun and so I don't know, it was like glamorous and elevated, but also cozy and casual.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: And casual.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was like everything.
- 9:28Sean McAllister: But it's like people who went got dressed up.
- 9:32Sean McAllister: It felt like a sense of occasion.
- 9:34Sean McAllister: You know, there were people who had their little tea hats on, there were floral prints, people were, you know, dressed in their bright colors.
- 9:42Sean McAllister: But once you sit down and start having your tea service, I mean it's uh it's a kind of set up like a living room.
- 9:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: So you feel like you're just hanging out, sipping some tea, having some sandwiches, some delicious uh pastries and confections and uh having a good time with your friends.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and a beautiful view because it is 20 three floors above the strip with all windows.
- 10:07Sean McAllister: Gorgeous.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: So you get a lot for this.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: You know what you get to pick your tea, and then everyone gets their, you know, the sweets and the sandwiches.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: So I mean, it's great.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: They have afternoon tea service there available Wednesday to Sunday.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: And valet is free for Nevada locals.
- 10:27Dayna Roselli: And you were saying you just love the valet there because they they were when I pulled in, he's like, Oh, you're from Nevada or you're Las Vegas local, it's free for you.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Just get it stamped, and we love to have you here.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: And you were saying they were also talking to you about other stuff.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: Well, they were talking about the other bar that they have up there on the 23rd floor, um, which opens at five every night.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: And he was saying he was like, This is a great place to go.
- 10:51Sean McAllister: If you have people in town, it's obviously got a great view.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: They have all the wraparound windows, so it's a view you don't get anywhere else on the strip.
- 11:00Sean McAllister: But they have a a dinner menu up at that bar also.
- 11:04Sean McAllister: And he said, if you haven't been, it's worth coming back, having uh having a meal and hanging out for a little bit.
- 11:13Dayna Roselli: I've been there when it was what was it first when it opened here?
- 11:17Sean McAllister: It was well, it was the uh Mandarin Oriental that was the property.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: That was it.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: I've been been to that bar when it was a Mandarin Oriental.
- 11:24Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: But you're right, I haven't been back.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: And knowing now that Valet's free, yes, hello.
- 11:29Sean McAllister: And they've redone that entire that entire floor.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Anything free.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: Listen, me trying to figure out how I was gonna park to go to Cindy Lopper.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: Well anyway, it just I and then getting out and how long it took to get out of the Caesars Palace parking garage, it's all a frustrating experience.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: It just is, and I actually don't mind paying if I can get out quick.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: That's a whole nother thing.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: But the ease of something like free valet for locals makes sense.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: It does.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: And if you're going to the to any of the restaurants over there, uh if you're going to tea or if you're going to stop into dinner at the other bar that's up there on the 23rd floor, it's always free valet for Nevada locals.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, that'd be good to know.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: It's a great place and it's so nice, and it's perfect for a Sunday too, afternoon for teasers or weekend at any time.
- 12:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's a great non-gaming hotel.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it smells so nice in there too.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: And by the way, I have to say, it does.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: It smells beautiful, and it is so relaxing.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: Um, the staff there's absolutely phenomenal.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, great.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: They go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience, and they did.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: And getting out's easy too when you pull out to the stripes turn right.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: It's super easy from the valet.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: And I was excited to stay there or to go there, sorry, because I actually haven't been to this hotel since it has turned into a Waldorf Astoria.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: And I'm going to a Waldorf Astoria in Panama uh soon for a quick trip for a friend's birthday.
- 13:03Dayna Roselli: So um I'm excited to stay at the Waldorf.
- 13:05Sean McAllister: You're gonna have lots of Waldorf.
- 13:07Sean McAllister: You're checking off all these Waldorf experiences.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: No, Waldorf is my jam.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: You need to get a frequent, you need to get a rewards number with them.
- 13:15unknown: I do.
- 13:16Dayna Roselli: Um, let's talk Tailgate Beach Club.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: This is new over at Mandalay Bay.
- 13:20Dayna Roselli: We got to go in and preview it before it opens.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: It's actually opening for the Derby soft opening.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: Their big grand opening is May 16th.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: And, you know, there's a lot of day clubs, pool clubs in town.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: This is a little a little different.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: I would say it's a little circa swim on the strip, but still different.
- 13:39Dayna Roselli: It's not because somebody compared it to that, and I was like, similar, but not really.
- 13:44Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's it's it has its own personality.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 13:48Sean McAllister: So Tailgate Social, uh Tailgate, sorry, it's not Tailgate Social.
- 13:52Sean McAllister: It is Tailgate Beach Club over at Mandalay Bay.
- 13:56Sean McAllister: This is the first uh uh sports-focused day club on the Las Vegas strip.
- 14:03Sean McAllister: Um and it really is cool.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: The cabanas, uh in addition to having TVs where you can watch whatever game you're there to see, uh, they have uh uh PlayStations in there.
- 14:15Sean McAllister: So you're if if you're a video gamer, they've got games for you there too.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:21Dayna Roselli: And uh they have all sorts of table games too.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, foosball, beer pong, beer pong, cup.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Apparently they have a uh a beer chug cam.
- 14:32unknown: Yeah.
- 14:33Sean McAllister: They say they want to bring the fun back to the day club experience, like the real fun, where you're actually interacting with the staff and the staff is having fun, the guests are having fun, and part of that is a beer chug cam.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: Right.
- 14:48Sean McAllister: So maybe during intermission of whatever game you're you're watching during a period break, they're gonna bring out the cam.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: And if you're having an intense foosball game, that might go up on the big screen.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: If you have a crazy flip cup game going on, that might be up there for the entire beach club to see.
- 15:07Dayna Roselli: And they have their own parking lot, which is easy to get in.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: They do.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: Well, anyway, we talked to someone about all of this and we were there for the preview.
- 15:14Sean McAllister: Craig O'Keefe, he's the chief operating officer of Click Hospitality, and he gave us all the ins and outs of Tailgate Beach Club.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: What really sparked this idea and made you guys go, okay, this is what we gotta do right now.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Well, at this point, Las Vegas has become such a hub for sports and entertainment, right?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: We've got WWE WrestleMania coming multiple years.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: We had uh the Knights, we've got the Raiders, the Las Vegas Aces, we've got the A's coming to town, uh, we've got the Super Bowl before, we've got the Super Bowl coming back.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: So sports is kind of taking over this uh this city outside of just the uh you know casinos and entertainment that we have.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: So we thought, well, if we're not gonna do another big day club, what do we want to kind of pivot to?
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: And this was such like a what are people doing?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Well, they love their sports, and uh whether you're here as a local checking out one of our teams or someone from out of town, it was it just seemed like a really smooth transition for us here.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: So, what does it allow you to do in a space like this when you're not focusing on big headlining DJ talent and when the game is really the headliner?
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, we have you know unlimited access to do what we want here in this venue.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: So whether it's a big game, playoff game, final game, uh, you know, if we want to show uh uh a reality TV show, we can do that.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, watch parties for those things.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: We have the ability to do whatever we want.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Uh if we want to throw a private party with thousands of people here, we can do that.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So uh open accessibility, availability to everybody here on the south side of the strip, right off Las Vegas Boulevard in Russell.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: It's super easy to get to.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Also, being, you know, it's a price pleasant venue.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: You can come in here for$25.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: We've got open bar packages to have a lounge chair actually reserve for yourself, and admission is only$50.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: Um, so you can come in here and have a great day and not feel like you're gonna get a second job.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: And what is the game day experience going to be like?
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Uh, for us, it's all about fun.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: So we're trying to make sure that uh, you know, we've got t-shirt cannons, we've got beer pong going on, chug cams going on, we'll be able to live broadcast your you and your friend's beer pong game uh happening.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: We've got foosball and ping pong, uh, we've got PlayStations and all 23 cabanas.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: This place is about having fun with your friends.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: So not only are the the games that people are here to watch gonna be up on these screens, the games on the pool deck are gonna be up there too.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: We hope just as much, you know.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, uh I like having fun with my friend.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: The place is called Tailgate Beach Club.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: If you've ever been to a Tailgate, that's what it's about having fun and having uh games with your friends.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: So that's what we're gonna be doing.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: And so are you planning on, I mean, just going off of the Tailgate name, doing pre- and post-game activations for raiders for WNBA.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, we'd like to be the home for everything going on here, sports-related.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: We're in such close proximity to Allegiant Stadium.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: The aces play right in our backyard here.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: As much as we can accommodate uh that, that's what we want to be a part of too.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you know, locals are you know what we're about to, so we hope to see just as many here.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: It's not just for Taurus.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: We're hoping to be for everybody.
- 18:14Sean McAllister: And you talk about bringing fun back into the day club experience.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: Do you feel like that's something that's been chipped away at a little bit over the years, and and uh where the focus on fun has really shifted to the focus on the talent?
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, over time, uh, I think it has gotten a little transactional, the hospitality business.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Uh this business was always fun for me.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Uh, that's one thing I talk about with our staff, and one thing we want to encourage here is just having fun, having fun with your guests that are coming in.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, being a part of their experience as well and making it fun for them.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Not just um, how can I get tipped or make money or how can I push this cabana to make X amount of money?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: It's you know, back to having fun.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: There's some sports on in the background, people are playing beer pong, we got ping pong going on.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Like, this is fun.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: So, what uh sporting event are you most looking forward to seeing up on the big screen out here?
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I think for me, it's probably gonna be once we get into football season, but you've got World Cup here uh coming up in about a month and a half, and it's on it's in our, you know, the United States, so the time zone's a little bit better.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: I'm not waking up at two or three in the morning to watch it.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I'm very excited to catch the Mexico USA games here, uh, some of that stuff.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, UFC fights are gonna be awesome to watch here as well, so I'm looking forward to those.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I'm a big UFC fan too.
- 19:32Sean McAllister: And obviously we're in pool season right now, but I mean, is this a concept that you can have open all year round, especially even around Formula One time?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: And that's a great question.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Uh cabanas will all be heated, the pools are heated, so year round for us is you know, we may take a small break after Super Bowl, but before, you know, but at March Madness time, uh, if it's even possible.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: But uh yeah, year round is such a great thing for us, uh, especially with what we've done here now.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so the grand opening is May 16th.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: I know Snoop Dogg is planning to perform.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: Ooh.
- 20:05Dayna Roselli: So that'll be good.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: And I'm sure you'll see tons of video of that and it'll be all around.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: But it sounds like they want to kick it off um in a special way to just kind of introduce people to it so that everyone can spread the word.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: And you know, word of mouth is the key to getting people through the doors.
- 20:19Sean McAllister: And I think it's great that they're gonna uh plan to stay open for sporting events all year round.
- 20:25Sean McAllister: They're gonna heat the pool, have heaters out on the deck.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: You gotta sports is all year round.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: And we also love that they have little showers out there around the pools, too, to rinse off.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: And like I mentioned, the parking lot there close close by.
- 20:38Dayna Roselli: So should be good.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: We'll keep you posted.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: Um, and great deals.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, 50 bucks gets you a lounge chair and entry, like we mentioned in the interview.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: So it can't beat that these days.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 20:49Sean McAllister: Something else we did recently is stop over to Chinatown.
- 20:52Sean McAllister: We were working on a story over there and started having some conversations about uh how things are going over there.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: And I was telling someone in my building I was heading there for the shoot, and they were like, you know, I always hear that they have so many great things in restaurants over there, but it's so intimidating.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: And I don't know where to go.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: And so every now and then we do like to do a feature on a restaurant or something happening at Chinatown to let people know, like, hey, there are places and there are great deals.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, lunch specials.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: I mean, and these these restaurants and bars are open late, which is you know a little different.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: We're talking like 1 a.m., you know?
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: Um, you can sit down and actually eat and have a meal.
- 21:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think you know, you mentioned somebody feeling intimidated about going to Chinatown, which I mean it's not an intimidating place, especially if you know uh specifically where you're going to go.
- 21:45Sean McAllister: But if you're just thinking, gosh, there's two hundred and forty eight restaurants, where do I even begin to narrow down this search of where I want to go?
- 21:55Sean McAllister: Oh you know, that's a that's a lot of choice.
- 21:57Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is, which is good, but also.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: Also, if you don't have a specific place in mind, it can be overwhelming.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: So we're here to tell you just go.
- 22:09Sean McAllister: Just go and walk in.
- 22:11Sean McAllister: Just go pull into one of the parking lots at one of the plazas in Chinatown.
- 22:17Sean McAllister: You will have so many options at your fingertips.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: And can almost guarantee you're going to be super happy with wherever you go.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I was talking to someone who was visiting from Los Angeles that we work with.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: They were in town for the National Association of Broadcasters Convention and there's listen to the audio podcast all the time.
- 22:38Dayna Roselli: They said, You're really big on emphasizing that Vegas isn't dead.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: And I said, Well, we are, because when we go out, it's busy.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: And I said, Listen, I know there are slower times and the numbers show it is slower.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: And I said, you know what?
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: You're right.
- 22:50Dayna Roselli: Maybe it's not necessarily that I'm trying to say it's the same as it always was.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: There's no difference.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: It's more like saying Vegas is dead, it's the wrong word.
- 23:01Sean McAllister: Because that means that there's nobody here.
- 23:03Dayna Roselli: It's packed.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: So, but uh, and and where I bring that up is when we were at Chinatown, they did say it's a little bit slower here lately.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:12Dayna Roselli: And so it was good to know.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: And they want to bring more people out there.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Then I was at my nail salon recently, which is on Paradise, just off the strip, kind of behind the sphere.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: And it's a very uh affordable place.
- 23:26Dayna Roselli: Like because it's close to the strip, is people think sometimes that everything close to the strip is expensive.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: And that's not the case.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: Um, it's called Eden Nails, and they are wonderful over there.
- 23:37Dayna Roselli: I have gone there for, I don't even know, 12, 13 years.
- 23:40Dayna Roselli: And um, the owner, Lisa, was telling me that, you know, it's just been so slow because people are putting out there, A, that, you know, Vegas isn't what it used to be, and then B, everything on the strip is so expensive.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: So she said, What's happening is is people used to come in with their wedding party for a wedding, say for a Vegas wedding, and the whole wedding party would, you know, go to like somewhere off the strip but close and come in for to get their nails and their pedicures and their treatments.
- 24:09Dayna Roselli: And um, or people would come in for shows and they'd get their nails done before.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: And she said, What seems to be happening is that people are getting their stuff done at home before they come to Vegas for their trip.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: That's because they're hearing everything is so expensive in Vegas.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: And she was saying, not everything is so expensive.
- 24:29Dayna Roselli: You know, there are places off the strip or close to the strip that are still very affordably priced.
- 24:34Dayna Roselli: I mean, you can get your nails done there for$30, you can get a pedicure for I think it's$35.
- 24:39Dayna Roselli: It's affordable.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: Um, so anyway, just interesting for everyone's stories and perspective, but how how, like we always say, word of mouth and people's stories really does affect businesses.
- 24:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 24:52Sean McAllister: Well, listen, let's just put that out there then.
- 24:54Sean McAllister: If you are a business owner or if you work somewhere that has affordable prices, shoot us a note.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: Ideas at vegas-revealed.com.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: Let us know because we'd love to let everybody know about your great prices or what deals you have.
- 25:14Sean McAllister: That's what we want to do is get your message out there and let people know so that we can we can at least have a little bit of a rebuttal to all this stuff that's out on social media that it does not paint the full picture of where we are right now.
- 25:34Dayna Roselli: No, and there are great deals out there right now, just fantastic.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: I had someone write me from home who said, We're coming in, I'm taking the kids to, and he says kids, 17 and 20 year old to like national parks, but we want to do some days in Vegas.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: We're gonna do, you know, different parks and stuff.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, Well, you need to hit up one of these summer all-inclusive deals because then you get show tickets and meals.
- 25:56Dayna Roselli: And I was like, let me know what links you want.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: Um, but I did go to the noodle den at Sahara, I always love it there, and they do have a$10 drink menu.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Now it's pre-made drinks, but I had two espresso martinis and they were fine.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: And I was like, that a$10 drink, you can't get that anymore.
- 26:12Sean McAllister: You know what?
- 26:13Sean McAllister: I really don't mind like those batch drinks at all.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: Because a lot of times the flavors they they have time to like hang out with each other.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: Right.
- 26:25Dayna Roselli: And you know, and it depends what kind of mode you're in.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, if you're getting all dressed up, going on a fancy date, or you're gonna sit at this, you know, classy bar and sip.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: I mean, you might want to upgrade, but if you're just going for dinner or with some friends or you know, a ten dollar espresso martini pre-batch is fine.
- 26:42Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 26:43Sean McAllister: Right?
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: So, yes, um, but like you said, email us, let us know.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: We can get in and mention.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of locals that listen to the show, and we have a lot of people from around the world and visitors.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: So we want to make that clear.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: Um, P.S.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: Cinco de Mayo is coming up, and we have so many emails on specials and things going on, we can't possibly get to them all.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: So just know that there are things up and down the strip.
- 27:05Dayna Roselli: I think today we got something from the link, and I know there are things going on all over resorts, world.
- 27:10Sean McAllister: So I mean every single property is having some sort of Cinco de Mayo deal, special, show, whatever.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: Whatever.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: It's all going on.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: And up until Cinco de Mayo, you can get a live nation special started on the 29th of April.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: This is a big deal, Sean.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: $30 tickets.
- 27:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, over 4,000 shows.
- 27:34Sean McAllister: That's across the entire United States, but obviously a good number of those are here in Las Vegas, too.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: So it's called The Summer of Live.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: And so I looked at um, yeah, because like you said, it's all over the country.
- 27:50Dayna Roselli: Um, so they're kicking off a week of$30 tickets, and they have a list for Las Vegas that they sent out.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: And Sean, I was like, wow, grab some guns and roses at Allegiant Stadium tickets for 30 bucks.
- 28:03Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: I know, right?
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: Derek Huff at Blue Live Theater.
- 28:08Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, go see Boys to Men at the Cosmopolitan or Chelsea Handler or Daniel, uh Daniel Tosh.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: Go to see Blake Shelton or Cindy this weekend, Josh Groben, Nikki Glazer and David Spade, or Rod Stewart for 30 bucks.
- 28:24Sean McAllister: We were just talking about going to see Josh Grobin.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's so good.
- 28:27Sean McAllister: Because I've we've never seen him live.
- 28:29Dayna Roselli: You'd love it.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: Oh, maybe I should get$30 tickets.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: Yes, get on there.
- 28:33Dayna Roselli: Uh that would be great.
- 28:35Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, there's a whole the list goes on.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's Shinedown at uh Micelobe Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay, uh Weirdale Yankovic at MGM Grand Garden.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: Uh we get into the Palazzo, there's shows going on, uh Babyface at Pearl Concert Theater, Kathy Griffin at Planet Hollywood, um, Summer Walker at Team Mobile Arena, and uh Gary Owen over at Venetian Theater.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's tons.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: So anyway, check it out.
- 29:05Dayna Roselli: Let me see if there's a specific link.
- 29:07Dayna Roselli: LiveNation.com backslash summer of live.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 29:12Sean McAllister: Man.
- 29:13Sean McAllister: Well, let's just keep on rolling with the summer deals, shall we?
- 29:16Sean McAllister: Let's.
- 29:17Sean McAllister: Uh, the Tuscany is a great uh casino, hotel casino that sits uh just east of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 29:24Sean McAllister: It's right on Flamingo, really close proximity, uh, walking distance, really, to the sphere.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: That's where a lot of people stay.
- 29:33Dayna Roselli: And where I get my nails done.
- 29:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, exactly.
- 29:35Sean McAllister: Full circle, Eaton Nails.
- 29:38Dayna Roselli: Uh go get your nails done, help out Lisa over there at Eaton Nails, and then you can from the Tuscany go to the sphere.
- 29:45Dayna Roselli: Okay, so anyway, they have a great deal.
- 29:46Sean McAllister: So Tuscany is doing a summer getaway deal, and this uh kind of lumps all together your dining, your drinks, your hotel stay, um, which is a great option.
- 30:00Sean McAllister: This is from June 1st through August 31st.
- 30:04Sean McAllister: And your food and beverage, uh, gaming extras, they're all built into this getaway package.
- 30:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I did see the all-you-can-drink access from select well beverages at the Tuscana bar and Piazza Lounge.
- 30:19Dayna Roselli: And I thought that's all you can drink is amazing as a part of your deal.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: And daily breakfast at Maryland's Cafe, 50% off poolside cocktails.
- 30:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, a lot of perks in here.
- 30:30Sean McAllister: There are.
- 30:31Sean McAllister: Pub 365, also among the the venues where you'll get uh perks and$10 in match play.
- 30:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:40Sean McAllister: $10 in free slot play,$10 in match play.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: It's a it's a we always, whenever we walk in, we go, you know what, this is a nice place.
- 30:47Dayna Roselli: It really got everything.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: A great Italian restaurant.
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: They got a lot going on over there.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: Their lounge.
- 30:53Sean McAllister: We keep talking about how we need to go to the lounge one night.
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: We can't do it all.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: It's so hard.
- 30:57Dayna Roselli: There's so much to do in Vegas.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: This is why we have a successful podcast.
- 31:03Dayna Roselli: Thank you everyone for having stuff.
- 31:05Dayna Roselli: Um, and someone wrote us over the weekend about our TV show and was like, oh, we need, you know, share some more affordable things.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: And they're right.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: It's like, it's, but it's like there's not enough time, and we do have so much, but we are gonna keep that in mind.
- 31:18Dayna Roselli: Um, they were talking about the actual TV episodes, right?
- 31:21Sean McAllister: But yeah, and it's like, well, it's endless, it is endless, so it never stops.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 31:28Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, a one-night stay is required for the Tuscany deal, so keep that in mind.
- 31:33Dayna Roselli: Um, let's do some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 31:36Dayna Roselli: We got a good one coming up.
- 31:40Dayna Roselli: Sean, have you noticed that they are doing the final season of Hacks?
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: Uh, they're doing it right with a lot of Vegas scenes.
- 31:49Sean McAllister: Oh, a ton.
- 31:51Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 31:52Dayna Roselli: What have we seen so far this season?
- 31:53Dayna Roselli: Mona Mega B, Caesars Palace, Fountain Blue, um, what a lot of downtown, and then the the court steps.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: Was that the mob museum?
- 32:01Sean McAllister: I don't know, it was a the it was the mob museum.
- 32:04Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 32:04Dayna Roselli: So I love I'm loving it.
- 32:06Dayna Roselli: It's so much fun.
- 32:07Dayna Roselli: And the wide shots.
- 32:08Sean McAllister: I know.
- 32:09Sean McAllister: And I I think the they use the exterior of the plaza uh for the um, it was the Paradiso that they called it.
- 32:17Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 32:17Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 32:18Sean McAllister: So they changed the name, but the building was the plaza.
- 32:22Sean McAllister: But when they walked inside, I I was like, oh my gosh, is this Buffalo Bills down in Prim?
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: Like I was wondering that.
- 32:30Sean McAllister: It was like it was definitely a casino that was not open.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: True.
- 32:36Sean McAllister: And I I figured it might be one that was, you know, down by state line.
- 32:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it makes sense.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: That totally makes sense.
- 32:43Dayna Roselli: Um, I don't know.
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: We'll have to find that out.
- 32:45Dayna Roselli: If anyone knows, send us a note.
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: But we had, you know, the cast in town for a long time shooting this uh hacks this final season.
- 32:53Dayna Roselli: And so we had a feeling.
- 32:54Dayna Roselli: Um, and you know, now they're showing the clips, like some of the raw clips and the behind the scenes on Instagram and stuff, and they show the the Mona Mega B at Paris scene on the patio, and it's kind of fun to watch because it's so true.
- 33:06Dayna Roselli: Like when you do like a Vegas power breakfast or lunch, you're all meeting on the patio of Mona B.
- 33:12Sean McAllister: It it is, it's great.
- 33:14Sean McAllister: Love, I I just love any time something is actually shot on location here in Las Vegas because I mean it's just so fun to see how things are represented on screen.
- 33:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:27Sean McAllister: And, you know, it's it's just fun.
- 33:30Dayna Roselli: I watch um Margot's Got Money Trouble, and I think I'm on episode four, and it releases weekly or three.
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: I think I've seen three, and now they're going into the Vegas part.
- 33:40Dayna Roselli: It's gonna start filming in oh well, they've already filmed it, but it's gonna start showing the episodes that include Las Vegas.
- 33:46Dayna Roselli: So I'm looking forward to seeing that as well.
- 33:48Dayna Roselli: It's a great, it's a great series.
- 33:50Sean McAllister: And I don't know if we've talked about this on the podcast before, but obviously uh Westgate played a big role in the Apple series Plurribus.
- 33:58Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 33:59Sean McAllister: And there's a phone on the casino floor that you can go and pick up and hear a message from from the show.
- 34:07Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 34:08Sean McAllister: And it's still on their marquee.
- 34:10Sean McAllister: They have hello, Carol.
- 34:11Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 34:11Dayna Roselli: My friend Robin that lives we I live across the street.
- 34:13Dayna Roselli: My friend Robin lives in my building, we always say.
- 34:16Dayna Roselli: She's always like, What is hello, Carol?
- 34:18Dayna Roselli: And you have to explain to her.
- 34:20Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I don't know either, because I don't watch the show, but it's funny, right?
- 34:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh it's great to see all the productions that are happening here and how the properties are, you know, really amplifying their the role that they play in these different series too.
- 34:37Dayna Roselli: And I like that.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: I feel like it's like catching on.
- 34:39Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 34:39Dayna Roselli: I feel re recently Vegas has really had a moment in series and film.
- 34:47Dayna Roselli: A lot of people come in here to shoot, which is good.
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: But I think something got turned down the other day with the the proposal for the film stuff.
- 34:54Dayna Roselli: We'll have to deep dive into that.
- 34:56Dayna Roselli: And I was kind of bummed to hear that, but um, I think things will happen eventually.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: It might just take a little longer.
- 35:02Dayna Roselli: But lots of people come in here to shoot scenes.
- 35:04Dayna Roselli: I mean, we have iconic places.
- 35:06Dayna Roselli: The other day I was taking a walk.
- 35:07Dayna Roselli: This is funny, you're gonna laugh at this, with Robin, my friend.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: We walk around the Westgate, they have a track there because we just cross the street.
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: Um, and the monorails above, and there was this like bird that was kind of flying low and then kind of landed.
- 35:20Dayna Roselli: And we were like, out of all the places, it's so weird that this bird is sitting here in Las Vegas under the monorail, like staring at the stratosphere.
- 35:29Sean McAllister: Do you think the bird knew?
- 35:31Sean McAllister: Do the birds know?
- 35:33Sean McAllister: Do they go and like do they fly to Utah and be like, oh my gosh, you live in Utah?
- 35:38Sean McAllister: I live in Vegas.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: That's what we were thinking, and we were having funny conversations about it.
- 35:44Sean McAllister: Not that there's anything wrong with Utah.
- 35:46Sean McAllister: I just want to say that.
- 35:47Sean McAllister: I was just using it as a geographical reference.
- 35:51Dayna Roselli: But no, it's true.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: It's like how I'm like, this bird is just hanging out like near the strat, like, you know, next to the Sahara, where, you know, Frank Sinatra used to hang, and you know, in front of the Westgate, like Elvis, like the biggest, you know, of all time.
- 36:09Dayna Roselli: Like this bird is sitting, like, how did it pick this spot?
- 36:13Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 36:14Dayna Roselli: So if you're a bird, email us ideas at vegas-revealed.com and let us know how you feel.
- 36:21Sean McAllister: Or send a messenger pigeon pigeon.
- 36:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 36:23Sean McAllister: We'll get the little note off his leg.
- 36:26Sean McAllister: Hey, an uh another uh celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 36:31Sean McAllister: Remember back in the day, evil Knievel, I think this was maybe in the late 60s, uh, attempted that huge jump over the fountains at Caesar's Palace.
- 36:42Sean McAllister: It did not end well.
- 36:44Dayna Roselli: It did not.
- 36:45Sean McAllister: Broke a ton of bones, had a lot of bodily damage, survived, but it was a nasty, nasty end to that jump.
- 36:55Sean McAllister: Well, we have uh another motorcycle daredevil who's going to attempt another jump at Caesars Palace.
- 37:05Dayna Roselli: And and just note that jump that didn't go so well did catapult him to fame.
- 37:10Dayna Roselli: Like that's how he became, you know, like really well known.
- 37:14Sean McAllister: I had evil canival toys when I was growing up.
- 37:16Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 37:16Dayna Roselli: Well, um, this motorcycle stunt is gonna happen uh basically to welcome in Omnia Day Club at Caesars Palace.
- 37:23Dayna Roselli: We've been telling you about that.
- 37:24Dayna Roselli: It's a new stripside pool club, day club, and nightclub.
- 37:27Dayna Roselli: They're gonna have a uh it'll be open in the evening too.
- 37:30Dayna Roselli: Um, but they kind of built it from the ground up.
- 37:33Dayna Roselli: It's right there in front of Caesars Palace.
- 37:35Dayna Roselli: It has a bridge that connects to Omnia nightclub.
- 37:38Dayna Roselli: Um, but I apparently our county commissioners approved this special event application for this motorcycle jump that's gonna be taking place right there at the Caesars Palace Fountains on Sunday, May 17th.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: And so um, it's also gonna kick off the resort's year-long 60th anniversary celebration.
- 37:58Dayna Roselli: And Colby Raha, who is a seven-time X Games gold medalist, is going to undertake the jump.
- 38:06Sean McAllister: Well, and uh the organizers are saying that this jump is not going to uh be taking place with people or structures underneath the jump zone.
- 38:18Sean McAllister: Good to know.
- 38:19Sean McAllister: Good to know.
- 38:20Sean McAllister: So people and structures are in the clear.
- 38:24Dayna Roselli: Good.
- 38:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so um, we'll keep you posted, but if you're interested in it and if that really interests you, you might want to head down to the strip and watch it.
- 38:31Dayna Roselli: If you're gonna be in town, I mean it's kind of fun to watch.
- 38:34Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be a big old spectacle.
- 38:36Dayna Roselli: Um, I think that day the country awards are in town with ACM.
- 38:41Dayna Roselli: ACMs, AC.
- 38:42Dayna Roselli: What are we having?
- 38:42Dayna Roselli: ACMs, yeah.
- 38:43Dayna Roselli: ACMs, yeah.
- 38:44Dayna Roselli: Um, they're in town too that day at over at MGM Grand.
- 38:46Dayna Roselli: So a lot going on on the strip.
- 38:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, that weekend.
- 38:48Sean McAllister: So May 17th, the big jump day.
- 38:51Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 38:52Dayna Roselli: Um, we are heading to Mary J Blige.
- 38:55Dayna Roselli: We'll have an update on that coming up soon.
- 38:57Dayna Roselli: We still need to chat about uh Tiffany, the singer Tiffany, um, who's having a big book launch party here in town, and uh along with uh a local Las Vegas chef.
- 39:09Dayna Roselli: Excited about that.
- 39:11Dayna Roselli: And what else do we have going on?
- 39:12Dayna Roselli: We are going to oh, we're going to check out Kartzilla, we hope.
- 39:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, which is if you haven't seen it, it's like a giant shopping cart that will give you a tour down the Las Vegas strip.
- 39:26Dayna Roselli: We saw people flying by on this thing and we were hysterical, and we're like, call them now.
- 39:31Dayna Roselli: We need to do a CD.
- 39:32Sean McAllister: We need to get over there and talk to them.
- 39:34Sean McAllister: So we're going.
- 39:35Sean McAllister: We're going to do something with Cartzilla.
- 39:37Sean McAllister: There's a new restaurant opening at the English Hotel in downtown Las Vegas in the arts district.
- 39:42Sean McAllister: We're popping over there.
- 39:43Sean McAllister: Uh, Empire Strips Back.
- 39:46Sean McAllister: The uh burlesque parody show over at Rio is celebrating a milestone.
- 39:54Sean McAllister: May the fourth be with you.
- 39:56Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 39:56Sean McAllister: Um, so we're popping in there.
- 39:58Sean McAllister: There's some big culinary news that's happening in Las Vegas.
- 40:02Sean McAllister: We'll be covering that.
