[upbeat music] Good week, everyone. Hey there.
• 0:20
This is, uh, Full Spectrum Cycling. You n- are now hearing the show 251- Yeah... in the Podcast MKE studio here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We got Tony. Yeah, I'm right here. We got JK- Hi, JK...
• 0:37
doing a little pit rubbing over there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [laughs] Which camera's recording? Are they all? I don't know. Hopefully that one right there. How's it going? Hi. And if not, I don't know. Hi.
• 0:45
Maybe that one or that one. Well, these, these always record, but- Oh, okay... yeah, I don't have them set up for backup like I did last week. We gotta get... So I'm, uh... Oh, you know how big I am on backup stuff.
• 0:55
Oui, oui. So here's backup, backup on there. Backup over there. Why not? At least we'll get audio. Um, I am, I'm cur- 10 things... I'm curious whether if, you know, this is the wireless lapel kind of things.
• 1:09
[laughs] They do pretty well to pick it up from here too, though. Dave Lapel. And it goes directly into the camera through the gizmo on top of the camera. Look at that.
• 1:16
So if it's good enough for, for some people, maybe they'd be like, "Oh, I don't have to go through all this and all this- When I could just do-... and all these... that. When I could just do that."
• 1:26
Of course, you can't get any callers in or anything- Mm-hmm... and such, and you would have to maybe have a speaker.
• 1:32
Do you remember when we were doing Weekly Dose with the, the speaker in the middle of the desk when we'd have call-in people? Oh, yes. [laughs] Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yes, with Cisco Systems.
• 1:42
[laughs] Yeah, those were the good old days back then. Wow. [laughs] The hub in the middle. Yeah, we had an orb. Oh, man. Good stuff back then. Yeah, that was, that was how we tried to do it and it- More nostalgia lane.
• 1:52
I think we used a, uh, BoomBot at one point. Mm, I think so. Like sitting on a box. Wow. Yeah. That was that, that- From Boombotix? Yeah, that was like- One of those?...
• 2:00
and we had it miked 'cause that was our call-in person was on the BoomBot. Wow. Yeah. Well, I, I think it was when the BoomBot Pro and the base came out. Yeah. Which at the time were whoa.
• 2:10
You could set the base right in the triangle. [laughs] I think I still have the base. I don't have any- It was the pyramid one? Yeah. Those things were garbage. Yeah. Well, but it charged your thing.
• 2:18
That was the good part about it. Yeah, that was the only good point. It had no bass. Yeah. I, I thought that was a- But I think that, I think it did a worldwide kill switch of, like, anything Boom...
• 2:26
No, I, I take that back. I do have a Pro that I can, I will still use on occasion. I thought they were great at the time. Oh, yeah, yeah. But I know- Until the USB port failed like they all did. Mm-hmm-hmm.
• 2:37
[laughs] I told you what I did for one. Mm-hmm-hmm. Did you replace the c- port? No, I cut apart the Boombotix and I put in a, what's called a Red Stick, which is a Adreno computer on a stick. Oh, right on.
• 2:51
And then I used it to make a light activated theremin. Huh. So during the Riverwest 24 when bikes came towards me, with their light, it would change the sounds. Oh. Wow, wow, wow. That sounds kinda fun. Still have it.
• 3:07
It's pretty fun. Right on. Much of the d- Bring it out of the closet-... Dixie town trio... for the next one. Oh, it's coming up quick. Yeah. What is it? Not three weeks? May 5th is coming up quick.
• 3:16
Cou- couple of weeks away. Yep. That's over at the, uh, Garden Park Black Husky, right? Sleeping out. Anybody wants to come. I s- I, I n- I note that you noted that there's a $34 entry fee this year.
• 3:26
There's a new fee this year. Mm-hmm. That's why- 10 bucks more... when I threw it up on the, uh, show notes a couple weeks ago, that's why I put Riverwest 34. Is that, was that your hand? Yeah. Yep. Oh, okay.
• 3:37
[laughs] I was trying to figure out where'd this mystery hand come from? Why did it now come in at 34?
• 3:41
And now the, the funny, the funny post on their website is like, "Well, I'm glad I budg- budgeted an extra 10 hours of riding." Yeah. Indeed, yeah. 34 hours. You get, you get a dollar an hour. That's not a bad deal.
• 3:52
Right. So this weekend was, uh, we t- had Brett and, uh, Hunter on a couple weeks ago. We did their, well, Tony and I did their- The Green Mile... The Green Mile event on 4/20, this Saturday. Boy, that was fun.
• 4:06
I had a great time. It was cold, but I had proper gear. Yeah, you had to go a little long, longer. I had to go pretty long. We, Tony and I did checkpoints, so. Where was your checkpoint?
• 4:17
Hu- um, Hubbard Park at the bottom of the hill by the, you know, where the- Oh... two tunnels are. You got lucky. I thought you had Humboldt Park. Oh, that would've been even- So you just had to go to Shorewood...
• 4:27
that would've been even further than here. No wonder why you beat me back [laughs] to the checkpoint. Well, I, but, so, so we had, so here's- Well, you were down by Boone. I was at Boone and Crockett. [laughs] Okay.
• 4:35
Yeah, that's what I thought. So here's what, what I had. I had to give these to either ev- e- everybody on the- Doobie tube... y- yeah, you put your doobie in there, hey. I guess. Doob tube.
• 4:46
Um, so anybody that was on the THC side got one of these, otherwise they had to get their manifest signed. So everyone that was doing the event came by, which was 40- Nice. Cool... 4- 45? 40, 45.
• 4:58
There was quite a few peoples. There was many peoples. Oh, geez. Oh, geez. It's Nate. Oh, geez. Oh, geez. Calling in already? I don't know. No, he's... I, I don't know what he wants to do. Oh.
• 5:10
Ca- it, it's our, our buddy over there from the Cannabis Collective- Oh, Nate... in the other building. Um, anyway, yeah, Green Mile was, was, it was a blast. [laughs] It was. I thought- His ears were burning.
• 5:21
His ears were burning. [laughs] There were some serious riders out there, too. Yeah, I stopped, I- And the, the map planning was impressive. I stopped in- That's the key to an alley cat...
• 5:30
at the, by the launch and, uh- Yeah, you must've rolled by- Yep... for about three minutes and then- Pretty much... been- Yeah... have you seen this thing? It's, it's like a- Boing, a dongle... it's looking at me. Boing.
• 5:40
It's going dong. Yoing, yoing, yoing, yoing, yoing. Um- I had, I had my record store day alley cat to run. Yeah. So. Cool. What'd you get? Uh, The Devil's Angels- Oh... soundtrack. Roger Corman film. I have made a nice
• 5:57
thing for the headline picture- [laughs]... out of that album cover, so. And I, I got two acknowledgement, the only two acknowledgements I got about posting it today was from, uh, Von Munns and, uh, Johnny Z.
• 6:09
[laughs] I was like, "Okay, this is good company." That's, that's, yeah, that's, that works. This is good, good acknowledgement company. I'm digging that. So who's your advocate over there at MSC? I don't know.
• 6:19
[laughs]I spread myself thin Right on. Should probably become a- Fing- fingers in every pie... should probably become a guitar smasher so you can be like- Yeah, right... yeah. Really grease the wheels? Yeah. Why not?
• 6:29
Grease the wheels of, of, of audio. Yeah, my- Join the club... my tax, my tax returns just came back, so- There you go... here's a little flush money when the- Right on... uh, fundraising drive- Pays for itself, dude...
• 6:39
comes up kinda soon Pays for itself. I was thinking the wave of the future is, uh, is some VJs down there at, uh, WMSC. You gotta do the video DJ thing. [laughs] Huh? Huh? They could live stream every day.
• 6:50
They could totally live stream. People would like be in, in, in on that stuff. They- Or, or most of them would go, "Fuck that." [laughs] Very possibly, yeah. Very possibly. Who's that?
• 7:02
So Tony, Tony boogied from the after party- [laughs]... at Uptowner, which was fun. Interesting band. Kind of a reggae jazz band sort of. The, uh- A koosh, a koosh trio... interesting is a great way to describe them.
• 7:14
I was hoping they would have a different band- I was expecting-... sometime [laughs] later... at any, I, I was expecting at any moment Dr. Sushi was gonna walk out. [laughs] Oh, lordy.
• 7:22
Uh- It wasn't like- What's his face? Uh... that band... tell- I don't know. I have no idea how to pronounce it. Tla- ka- ka- TLA-k-o-k? I don't know. He's one of the three that was in the- Mm... in the band.
• 7:33
I've seen him. He was over at, uh, Pedro's, or La Casino Del Sur- Right... for their launching of, uh, tacos and tequilas. So while they were doing the awards, Carrie won first place, by the way. Excellent.
• 7:46
Um, and the other twos were long hairs too. Everybody was a long hair that won. I saw that, the picture. Everyone's a long hair. Long hair. Long hair 12 meters. Damn long-haired peoples.
• 7:53
[laughs] So, but this was a part of our, uh, uh, thank you for being a volunteer, and it is to Tony and Greg. Not me. A lot from- [laughs] Yeah, a lot from- Yeah... Kind Oasis. Where is Kind Oasis?
• 8:05
They're somewhere in- Over by my Fisher's... yeah, somewhere on the east- Oh, okay... east side... okay. But there's... Let's see what's in here. What's in there? What's in there?
• 8:12
First of all, let's go through this because- Ayla made certain-... it's almost like Christmas... Ayla made certain that I got part of this. Yeah. I'm making certain you get part of it. Oh, okay. Good.
• 8:22
Well, we're each getting one of these. So we're getting- That's cool... so we're getting these. These are, uh- Cool... obviously kooshies. Thank you, Kind Oasis. We- Wait, THC seltzers. That sounds interesting.
• 8:30
We got some, uh, incest here I think. Oh, no, we might have to split that one. Is that Nag Champa? No. You got your, uh- Probably similar. Very similar... you got your Delta 9- THC... THC gummies. Look at that. Delta 9.
• 8:46
15 count. These are vegan gummies. Come on. Oh, so they don't have gelatin in them. Okay. I'm like- I don't know... all right, vegans. Pectin? We got- 'Cause I didn't realize that vegan, or gelatin contains horse hooves.
• 8:59
We got 41420 lighters. Oh, that's- Look at that, lighter... lighters. We got stickers. Stickers. More stickers. Oh, wait, these might be legit... These are legit Bic lighters.
• 9:12
That's the sh- The- You can't have a, a lighter that's not a Bic... I, right? But you never meet... Yeah. Do you want to gargle with this low dose fast acting syrup? What in the world? Oh, God, that sounds scary as hell.
• 9:23
Delta 9 syrup. So it's a Delta 9 cough syrup? Or is it just a you're gonna get high drinking this syrup? Yeah, I, I don't know. And then this thing right here, this green one- That's for you...
• 9:35
there was only one of them, and Kim's like, "I need a new water bottle." So that's why it's in front of my- It's going to JK... oh, take, take that home to Kim. This is going on my cargo bike.
• 9:45
Get that, that, get that bag out of here. Um, yeah, so the very nice, uh, recognition of our- I don't know... sort of participation in the event. It was fun. Yeah.
• 9:54
I end up buying a four-pack and having two of them sitting around, and let me tell you, that boat launch has a lot of creepy- Oh... traffic. Oh. Yeah, I think it's sort of a handoff zone or something.
• 10:05
Whoa, it's something weird. There was- I was-... a lot of- Yeah, Policia do-... questionable-... hang out there on quite occasion. I wanted to eat lunch there the other day, and I'm like, "I can't go in there.
• 10:15
There's a bunch of weirdo cars in the-" It, it was very bizarre, and a lot of out-of-state plates. Like, what's going on here? Why do people know to stop here? 'Cause it's kind of out of the way. [laughs] Yeah.
• 10:28
Down towards- But it's really close to the breezeway and stuff... and down the river. Yeah, you could, you could come in a boat. And if you, if you haven't ridden by there- We could be boating...
• 10:35
if you haven't ridden by there midday, there is a guy with a collection of Syncro VW buses, like four of them, that he must work at the boat area.
• 10:50
But he had a panel van version with a roof, a raised roof. He had a regular camper version with the Westfalia, and then he had a regular Syncro panel van, which I've never seen in my life. And the guy- Huh?...
• 11:06
is obviously a VW Syncro nut. Mm-hmm. Does he store them inside Skipper Buds or something? I, I wonder, but there's alwa- Huh? I- if you go there during the week, there's always- Well, there's-...
• 11:14
one of them parked next to that marina area. Oh, copy. Yeah, there's a Hansen's right along that- Yep, yep... right there, and then that, or, uh, the Milwaukee Kayak Company.
• 11:23
The, the panel- That weird, that weird, uh, lot... the panel version with the raised roof, seriously badass. Nice. Hey, you know what else is down on the water down there? Not right there, different, but Lake Express.
• 11:40
Mm-hmm. Ah, just coming up fast. I, I believe they're running again, but, uh, Friday, that'd be tomorrow, they do the bring in a serviceable bike and get a round trip ticket on the old Lake Express. It's a steal.
• 11:54
It's a steal, people. I'm wondering if that bike that was lying in the middle of the road the other day would... Put some air in the tire, shift her, shift her. We're trying. I- it's probably stolen.
• 12:02
I'd feel bad about that. You think? Well, it, it's going back into circulation. It was laying in the middle of the street. Maybe somebody abandoned it. It's going, it's going to Dream Bikes. And it is a junk bike.
• 12:10
It's gonna get wrenched over, and then it'll be out on the floor again. Greg, there's stickers on the floor. I think you dropped some stickers. Oh, those look cool too. Yeah, I know. Hold on, radio listeners.
• 12:19
It's not like you're throwing it into a landfill or anything. Those are cool. All right, I'm taking that sticker. Good to see that. I do notice, is that some kind of restaurant?
• 12:28
I'm not even sure what that is I think it's the same logo as Kind Oasis. It's cool. It is. Oh, there you go. My daughter- Sorta...
• 12:35
is trying to get my wife to try stuff from Kind Oasis, saying that, "It's not really cannabis, but it kinda is. You might wanna try it, Ma." So yeah, we'll s- we'll get her some gummies. Gummies are good.
• 12:48
It's not a bad idea. My mom, my mom did. Gummies? Yeah. Right on. She's done the THC therapies for pains. So yeah, I don't know. I, I need to find a bike for this thing or I'm not gonna get my free ticky. Yeah.
• 13:01
I'm kinda on the fence. I am on the fence. On the fence. Yeah. I d- think I do have a rig that I could sacrifice. I was thinking about that s- stupid Wu Tang bike. That's scary... isn't going anywhere.
• 13:16
People are just not- Oh, that's way too nice a bike... people are just not biting on it. I'm like, "I want bikes out of here. Go away- But-... with that one." That bike's- Yeah, but-...
• 13:23
more expensive than just buying a fucking round trip. I shit you not- Yeah... there was a Pugsley. Somebody brought in a- That's true... damn Pugsley. I was like- But somebody would get a kick-ass bike though too...
• 13:32
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." There's that. You're not even s- But would they even appreciate it- Okay... or know what it is? Okay. Okay, wait. Wait. Okay, wait. Guess what? You're not even really supposed to use your ticket. Huh?
• 13:42
You're supposed to just [laughs] give them the bike, get the ticket, and then never redeem it. I- Who said that? Oh, I don't know. [laughs] Uh, I, I've done that twice. Yeah. No, we've all done that.
• 13:53
But I've, I say, well, we talk about this- I did that one year... on the show all the time- One year... so I figure they're, they're paying us for our, uh, you know, pimping their wares kind of thing. Right.
• 14:02
Guess what was voted number one high school in Wisconsin? Pai High XI? No. Uh, Shorewood. Hopes? No. Uh, wait, wait. Uh, Nickelbag? Nope. Nickel A's not even in the top 10. Whitefish Bay, dagnabit. Oh, yeah.
• 14:15
That's the one you went to. [laughs] I went to Shorewood. Oh, did you? My bo- my boy and my girl went to the, uh, they went to the Whitefish Bay there. What? US News and World Report, so you know- It's gotta be good...
• 14:25
you know it's good stuff. [laughs] My, uh, daughter decided she's gonna go to U of M Milwaukee. That's what you said. You kinda happy? My boy's going there. Boy's going there. You kinda happy?
• 14:33
JK, explain to us this UWM Bike Expo, May 1st, Bates Plaza. Yeah, what is that? What, what do you know about that? I saw, I saw a flyer. Same here. That's what piqued my interest. Uh, the what?
• 14:46
UWM rec department, part of the student union. I know that lady very well. They're doing, uh- Fix her computer... it's looks l- like it's kind of like a bike swap, bike sale, free tune-ups,
• 15:01
and, you know, I guess local vendors selling some wares. But that's like a Wednesday or something. That's Bates Plaza, so it's- Yeah... of course it's gonna be middle of the week so people- Mm-hmm...
• 15:13
can come to Bates Plaza. Students. I don't know what Bates Plaza is. Oh, it's the center area of UWM- Between, between the union, the library... between the union, the library- Gotcha...
• 15:22
Bolton, and Tech School of the Arts. Yes. Where the long line was for the eclipse glasses. Yes. Exactly. Gotcha. Wouldn't have known, but yes. Yes. And you can go inside to the- They, they can-...
• 15:30
Taco Bell Express and get a fully- Oh... Gordo loaded soft taco. So, okay- I am in there with you... for $1.75. This is for the boy because his, his meal plan, [laughs] he had to kinda pick a meal plan- [laughs]...
• 15:42
and he gets, he gets X number of dollars. First of all, you can eat all you want at the normal- Yeah... you know, dorm or wherever the cafeteria is. Oh, the cafeteria thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 15:52
But he gets extra dollars to use at any place, they're called Gold Bucks or something. Yeah. So besides Taco Bell, what else is on campus that you could use those at? The union. Burger King.
• 16:03
Uh, the, a Burger King, um, Gasthaus. Pacific Wraps. Pacific, don't do that. Eh, not anymore. Is there a Star- Yeah, they used to be so good. Now they're terrible... is there a Starbucks or other coffee? Uh, coffee.
• 16:12
There's coffee, yeah. The Grind. Alterra. Yeah. Caffefe. Grind. Caffefe. All right, so, so we, so that, it seems like a better deal.
• 16:19
And, and other ones, and other ones like [clears throat] I think even Oakland Gyros, and Shawarma House, and Sal's Pizza in the area- But I will... You-... will take them or honor them...
• 16:27
you should express to him that the Union Station on the first floor of the union, um, I highly recommend the Indian food because it's all cooked by Indian students, and it's good.
• 16:41
The butter chicken has got a kick to it that is worthy of ordering. Awesome. So, and reasonably priced, all, all things considered. My daughter's also gonna be in the dorms. Puter, puter.
• 16:51
I don't know where he's gonna end up yet. So Cleon's gonna go to the dorms she said. That's what she decided. I would've said stay at home. It's two miles away. That, that's what I suggested too- I kinda-...
• 17:00
but you want them to have that experience. As long as he can pay for it, I'm all for it. [laughs] Right. And, and the benefit for me is I'm turning her bedroom into my stereo room. Mm-hmm.
• 17:10
That's, that is a good benefit 'cause that's a big room. 17 by 20, baby. Yeah. That's gonna... I'm gonna sit in a big... I gotta find a Max- Oh... a, a Maxell chair. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. The commercial.
• 17:20
The Maxell. So you need to get some Marantz speakers and- Right, and just be like ah. And the, uh, the cops moved out of the basement of West Tower, so- Well, yeah, 'cause they're moving to Norris now...
• 17:31
there's no co- there are no cops in the dorms no more. Right. Well, they're in Norris less squad and- There were cops in, there were co- there were cops in the dorms when I went there, and that sucked...
• 17:37
they're not, they're almost finished with the old Norris Health Rehab since I look at it every freaking day. Oh, gotcha. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what the problem with that is?
• 17:45
There's something very nice- The cops are gonna take all of our parking in our parking lot. Not that I care 'cause I ride a bike. Right. My coworkers are pissed. Nice. What you got there, Greg?
• 17:54
It's, um, '80s show and tell day. Maybe early '90s possibly. Now- Can you see that for a second? I've got- How do you- I've got a, um- Nostalgia lane, baby... I've, I've got that... So I, so I have that Trek.
• 18:05
Oh, the bolt's still there. Wow. Yeah. Well, I've, yeah. I bought this new back in the olden times. I misplaced it for a lotta years, and I have that 950 Trek that has a horrible- Perfect for that...
• 18:16
a horrible straight handlebar on it. Oh. They, oh, oh. And I wanted to put the Brahma bars on there, which I still have from back in the olden times as well. Whoa. But because of all these curvy things,
• 18:29
you couldn't get it on to the stock stem But if you look at the control tech, it's kinda hogged out on the bottom. Just- It just- So you can just- Oh my God... buttery smooth put the... Look at that.
• 18:42
That's pretty gorgeous. I used to love Brahma bars so much. I could see that. I kinda think they're still pretty badass. Pretty wide for old school bars too. Yeah. Well, yeah.
• 18:51
600- I know I'm not, I can't ride, I can't ride 840 millimeter bars or whatever the wide ones are now. I don't want to. It's like- Right... "Whoa, bro. That's wider than my motorcycle now." Oh, a tree.
• 19:01
Bam, I'm on the ground. Yeah, I did that with like 720s even, hitting trees. So anyway, got, got a set up. That thing still has the original LX stuff on it. It's barely used.
• 19:14
The frame is a little bit nicked up and stuff, but the drive train is still good. It's freaking true temper steel. It's gonna last forever. It's gonna be great. It's gonna be awesome. Somebody's...
• 19:22
I'm gonna probably sell it because we're kinda poor here at the shop these days, so I'll get that thing out the door. You know who else is poor? Me. You can tell 'cause they're selling bikes at 40 to 50% off again. Trek?
• 19:35
Kona. Oh, Kona's hurting. That's just sad. The... I'm sure if people are in the bike- That's not sad. That's poor management. Oh, well, it's, it's just tr- it's t- totally dropping the ball and running away from it.
• 19:46
And I rarely say this, but I'm just gonna say this right now. [laughs] Fuck you, Canada, 'cause they're a Canadian company. Can- Yeah. Yeah. So Kona, uh, went to Sea Otter,
• 19:55
which is no small expense to get there, set up, and then tore down less than 24 hours later. Yeah, I saw that. And everybody got, you know, kind of the talking to.
• 20:04
They laid off a bunch of staff and- Why would you a- Why would you go out there? Why would you wait an extra day to get them to set it all up and to say, "You know, sorry, folks, we're pulling the plug on this thing."
• 20:16
Somebody should buy that. Mark Peterson already put a thing out there on Facebook saying, "Somebody should buy this." It's an iconic mountain bike brand. Been there for a l- I have had. I sold it.
• 20:28
A Humma Humma Nuka Nuka Appia Pro- Poo poo mama caca doo doo [laughs]... with disc, with disc brakes. Caca doo doo [laughs] One of the very rare ones- Humma humma... with disc brakes and glow in the dark lettering.
• 20:39
They were good. They were good bikes. I regret selling that. They were always a good value bike. Yep. You know what's another good value bike in the shop? Just finished it up today.
• 20:48
Steven wrapped- Wait, wait, I think I know this... Steven wrapped the handlebars for me 'cause I haven't wrapped bars in- Is it the state bike? No, it's a freaking Jamis from a long time ago. Really?
• 20:56
Yeah, it's, like, got a steel down tube and carbon seat tube and top tube. What? It's really cool. It's Joe Schuler's. You know Joe. Yeah, I do. Right? I didn't know he made that though.
• 21:05
Yeah, we should go check it out after the show. It's really light for its era, but it's a, a 47 centimeter frame. Joe's kind of a short guy. [laughs] But 47 are, rarely do you- Or 47...
• 21:16
Well, it's close to 53 actually, and so, yeah, I guess odd number. Yeah. But yeah, so w- that got done. We got rid of the, um, the bike fed Bullet went down the road at 32 miles an hour. Good fucking looking bike.
• 21:30
Yeah, it's super fun too. It was fun talking to Jake about it too, trying to convince him to go with a seven or eight speed. Yeah, it's still a 10 speed for now, but- Right...
• 21:39
and it's got a new chain and a new cassette, so that'll get him through the year, but awesome stuff. I like that bike. They should get a lot of good, uh, cargo hauling use out of it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
• 21:51
A couple of new projects in there. Remember that Schwinn, that World Adventure Frame, the aluminum thing that's been floating around forever? Yeah. We bought that bike because it had an El Fina Eight- I remember that...
• 22:03
and a, and a dyno front hub, and really good brakes and all sorts of stuff, and it was cheaper to buy the whole thing- Than to buy the parts... than to buy the parts. Yep, I remember that.
• 22:11
So we, so we bought it for a project, and then, uh, just the frame's been sitting around. So I found some parts. I'm gonna take the wheels off Wendy's Roll 'cause we're electrifying it.
• 22:20
I already have other wheels for that. Nice. And I've just been collecting little baubles for it here and there. So that's gonna be a good commuter bike. Baubles? It's actually a really nice frame.
• 22:29
It's, like, 7005 aluminum. It, it's light. Is, uh, Wendy's electric gonna be front or rear? Front. I like that approach. It is going to have a pedal assist because I don't want her to have to manage a throttle,
• 22:43
but it will have a... You know, she just wants to ride with Garrett, and she can't keep up with him, [laughs] so- Well, that definitely will help. It will, it will give her the incentive to go ride with him some.
• 22:54
Uh, yeah, that's what's in the shop. You know what's in, uh, Iowa? New bike park coming to Mason City. Really? Yeah. It looks interesting. It's, uh... You know, we go to that Mayday Mayhem thing.
• 23:06
It's probably 30 miles further west or somewh- something like that. Okay. It would be the largest city in north, very northern Iowa. They expect a lot of people to come. They got a big old thing- Well, there's-...
• 23:18
on the, uh, on the, on the TV stations talking about it. We, we talked recently about the skate park on the south side, and this weekend, Boom Boom Huckjam was in town to check it out. Boom B- [laughs]
• 23:32
Tony- John Tony- Tony Hawk. John Tony Hawk. [laughs] Uh, yeah, he was over at the, at the turf skate park there- Yeah... scoping it out. Since we're almost to the end of the hill- Oh, God, it was a hard climb.
• 23:45
[bell ringing] It was a hard climb. Um, JK brought the, uh, beer water today, which was awesome choice because we've kinda had a lot of really powerful beers lately. So instead we're having Hams. The beer refresher.
• 23:58
The beer refresher. Beer, dot, dot, dot. Refreshing. It is, it is from the land of sky blue waters. [bottle clicks] [smacks lips] Uh- Lay me, lay w- lay one on me. [clears throat] More stuff coming up.
• 24:12
Oh, yeah, so Mayday Mayhem is next weekend, weather dependent. Lungs of Iron. And registration for the River West 24. Which is not weather dependent. [laughs] That'll go on rain or shine.
• 24:24
Tim and Tony, I'm gonna hope- Yes... will offer to let me sleep in their brewery again. Did you sleep in there last year? No, I didn't. I actually- No, I kinda off-... but they offered...
• 24:32
I met you and waited out there with you. But if they did offer me to sleep in it, I'd probably take advantage of it this year 'cause I'm old. With doggies. If all possible Their apartment isn't done upstairs yet, is it?
• 24:41
No, not quite yet. Oh, okay. But I think they're anticipating June. [sighs] I wish I could find this damn quote. It's driving me insane. Yeah, you're doing a lot of button-pushing over there. Yeah.
• 24:54
Yeah, but it's a good one, when I find it. Short trip. [laughs] Did you, you... Tony, took a, you took a look at the, uh, Paradigm Green, Inc.
• 25:04
website l- last week or w- week before, when I was talking about them buying rims and- Yeah. Yeah... they're doing some kinda rim drive situation. I did look at that. Yeah. Okay.
• 25:13
They make some interesting stuff, if you're into weird e-bike stuff. Seems like there's a bunch of weird bike builders in Montana. I think there was a company called Bigfoot or something that made, like- I do r-...
• 25:22
like a big tricycle or four-wheel fat bike thing. I do recall that too Like an all-terrain monster truck of a electric bike kind of an idea. There's a link in the show notes. You know what else will be in the show notes?
• 25:36
Video of the bike fed Bullet. Cool. This sh- I saw the video already... video for this show, which by the way, Tony discovered, the show on YouTube does have an audio only version for their podcast feed for some reason.
• 25:50
And- So, if you don't wanna see me, listen to that... yeah, yeah, listen to it, or just put it on and it'll be a video, but you won't see anything happening.
• 25:57
Uh, and then there's the video version, which otherwise you wouldn't see these badass Brahma bars and all this Kind Oasis, uh, kick-ass swag. This is weird as all get out. I don't want- I, I-...
• 26:10
cough syrup that makes me stoned... I don't think it's cough syrup. There we go. I found it. Oh, God. When you were saying it- Good golly, Miss Molly... like, "Don't drop the ball," [coughs]
• 26:18
I didn't wanna screw it up, because it was a good one. Okay. The movie, Too Big to Fail. [laughs] It's like, "Oh, yeah, they dropped the ball." "No, they didn't drop the ball.
• 26:28
They dropped the ball, kicked the coach in the nuts, and took a crap in the quarterback's mouth." [laughs] [laughs] So, you know- Well-... there's, there's a lot going on there. Yeah. I didn't wanna screw it up...
• 26:37
and surprised you couldn't find that more quickly. I am too. That's what was paining me. So, a- You probably don't have AI activated on your phone yet. No, most likely.
• 26:43
After reading this Kind Oasis Delta-9 Plus- I see nothing of cough syrup... um, low dosage, fast-acting syrup. Here's the funny part. This size bottle, this size bottle, how many doses do you feel are in this bottle?
• 26:59
Four. 10? 21. Ah. Give me that. [laughs] I'm like, what? Do not drink directly from bottle. It also says. Barely not. [laughs] Oh. Is that what it says? Hmm. Yeah, it's 100...
• 27:13
Well, I guess it's 105 milligrams, 5 milligrams per serving. You wanna bet the first ingredient in that entire bottle is sugar? No, it is cane sugar. Ah, so it's like Mexican Coke.
• 27:27
Uh, yeah, Mexican Coke has actual cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Half a teaspoon, or half a tablespoon. I don't know. I'm not sure what it's for, but maybe it makes you feel better.
• 27:39
It's- I'm seeing some guy riding his bike around town on that thing... it's less than 3% Delta-9 THC, whereas- Where-... some of these other ones, this one is 20 milligrams of Delta-9 THC. [laughs] This is 15- Per unit.
• 27:56
Anyway, that's what you get when you get stuff from Kind Oasis. This one starts with organic tapioca s- syrup, and then sugar, and fruit pectin, which last I checked, is also sugar. [laughs] Well- There you go...
• 28:11
I don't know. You know, it's, they're, they're, they're dancing that, that line of- Yeah... can we get away with it kinda stuff. I'm fine with that. They can do well. Uh, for adult, adult use only, but there you go.
• 28:23
Uh, all right, everyone. I guess, uh, anybody else- Whoops... got anything? Kona bikes, electric, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I forget. Oh, Restomod Bikes, I'm working on that page. I like it.
• 28:32
Got a, got a- I added a couple bikes... yes, I have a couple more to add soon, and I hope other people, 'cause now there's a group versus a page.
• 28:41
I didn't exactly remember what the difference was, but difference is you can't, you can't post on a page. But I can post in a group? You can post on a group as your own thing.
• 28:50
On a page, you could comment on something, but you couldn't start your own thread or unless I let you in or whatever, but whatever, whatever. Jeez. It's all the Facebook stuff. Thanks, Obama. [laughs] I tell you.
• 29:03
All right, everybody. Uh, I guess I'll be here next week again. Yeah. Irvine.
• 29:09
