- 0:00Speaker 1: It is an historic day. Gold has now hit four k,
- 0:03Speaker 1: and of course bitcoin could be right on its heels
- 0:06Speaker 1: for an all time high. We'll break it down for
- 0:08Speaker 1: you first. Before we do that, I want to kind
- 0:10Speaker 1: of give you guys a heads up here. We are
- 0:12Speaker 1: now on the White House website and we have the
- 0:17Speaker 1: twenty four o'clock going there. So it looks as though
- 0:21Speaker 1: we are going to continue to see this shutdown play
- 0:24Speaker 1: into where the markets are going, even though I think
- 0:27Speaker 1: a lot of people are still in a position where
- 0:29Speaker 1: the markets are not caring about this shutdown. However, this
- 0:33Speaker 1: may change as it gets a little bit further into it.
- 0:35Speaker 1: If you look at the amount of data that is
- 0:38Speaker 1: not being reported. This is a very intriguing component here
- 0:42Speaker 1: because what we've missed in terms of releases so far
- 0:46Speaker 1: weekly jobless claims that's out, the employment report by the
- 0:50Speaker 1: BLS that's gone, International Trades and goods that's gone, the BEEA,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and next we're going to be looking at CPI data
- 0:57Speaker 1: that won't be reported, and also the PPI data. So
- 1:00Speaker 1: those have been pretty critical in terms of how the
- 1:02Speaker 1: FED gathers information and makes their final decision for the FOMC.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Remember the FOMC meeting is the end of this month,
- 1:09Speaker 1: so this may slow things down, and does Powell maybe
- 1:13Speaker 1: reconsider their position just to be able to deal with this.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And it's getting pretty radical because even if you look
- 1:19Speaker 1: at the US Department of agricul this is a kind
- 1:21Speaker 1: of statement that's going out there. First of all, I
- 1:23Speaker 1: don't necessarily agree with this. I think you have to
- 1:25Speaker 1: be a little bit more tactful in being able to
- 1:28Speaker 1: understand and bridge the gap between these two or you know,
- 1:31Speaker 1: these two parties at least getting to the next phase
- 1:34Speaker 1: of getting this done over time, because at some point
- 1:37Speaker 1: this will start to affect the market. I think the
- 1:40Speaker 1: question is when that point is. And one thing that
- 1:44Speaker 1: can be affected here is continued pressure on the economy.
- 1:48Speaker 1: One of them is around the whole soybean industry. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: know this, you guys will understand what I'm talking about.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But let me go to tot one this we'll explain more.
- 1:56Speaker 2: When we had USAID, we provided and into the humanitarian
- 2:01Speaker 2: food for the world. So we abandon that deal and
- 2:04Speaker 2: China accelerates there. So now I've got a teriff war
- 2:08Speaker 2: that's killing my market. We produce forty percent more than
- 2:11Speaker 2: we can consume because agriculture has got us in this
- 2:15Speaker 2: model where we have to overproduce the payout, so it's
- 2:17Speaker 2: all about yield now, so I have to have a
- 2:20Speaker 2: market abroad otherwise what are we going to do with
- 2:23Speaker 2: the other forty percent?
- 2:24Speaker 1: Do you think your message is being heard by the president?
- 2:32Speaker 2: I hope so well.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That was a long pause. I hope so well. We
- 2:37Speaker 1: showed this earlier, is that the soybean market is pretty
- 2:39Speaker 1: much cratered completely because obviously China has been the big
- 2:43Speaker 1: category of acquisition of soybeans. This puts pressure on the economy.
- 2:48Speaker 1: This will start to roll over into other sectors of
- 2:50Speaker 1: the economy. That of course, as we see a continuation
- 2:54Speaker 1: of this not only from the shutdown side, but also
- 2:55Speaker 1: from the terror side. So this I think still starts
- 2:59Speaker 1: to put a lot of pre pressure on traders out there. Now.
- 3:02Speaker 1: The question now is how long is going to The
- 3:05Speaker 1: question now is how long the government will shut down.
- 3:08Speaker 1: If you look at Calshi right now, it's holding out
- 3:10Speaker 1: right now at twenty four days or longer. As we
- 3:14Speaker 1: get past the fifteenth this gets pretty serious because now
- 3:17Speaker 1: we're getting into a scenario where there's a lot of
- 3:20Speaker 1: government jobs that actually will be affected by this. Even
- 3:23Speaker 1: if you look at polymarket, poly Market's lead position right
- 3:26Speaker 1: now is fifteen days or later, so that would be
- 3:28Speaker 1: past October fifteenth, into the latter half of the month.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And this is the critical point that starts to make
- 3:35Speaker 1: a big difference on the market in general. I'm going
- 3:38Speaker 1: to go to another clip here because this will get
- 3:40Speaker 1: into why this shutdown affects the markets and the economy
- 3:44Speaker 1: after the fifteenth of October. Take a look, and.
- 3:47Speaker 3: There's a little bit of a pain point when you
- 3:49Speaker 3: go into shutdown because of all the attention and so forth.
- 3:52Speaker 3: But the first fifteen days are usually politically pretty free.
- 3:56Speaker 3: People technically are working without getting paid, but they weren't
- 3:58Speaker 3: going to get paid today anyway. They wanting to get
- 4:00Speaker 3: paid until October fifteenth. That's the next pay period for
- 4:03Speaker 3: federal workers. That's the next pain point. That's why I
- 4:07Speaker 3: think this shutdown doesn't last much past the fifteenth, if
- 4:10Speaker 3: at all. I think about raps about the eleventh and
- 4:12Speaker 3: twelfth or the thirteenth. Keep in mind, back in twenty nineteen,
- 4:15Speaker 3: when we had that thirty five day shutdown, the Defense
- 4:18Speaker 3: Appropriation Bill, the Defense spending bill had been passed, so
- 4:21Speaker 3: all the military got paid. It was a very different
- 4:24Speaker 3: sort of pain point in Washington when it came to
- 4:26Speaker 3: paying federal workers because all the military was getting paid.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That's not the case this year. So October fifteenth, most
- 4:33Speaker 3: federal workers won't get paid. And that's when this really
- 4:36Speaker 3: becomes real for most people and for politicians.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think that's the key right here.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Guys.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Let me know in the comments down below, you think
- 4:44Speaker 1: we go to the fifteenth and we're talking about mid
- 4:46Speaker 1: next week for this to occur.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Do we get a.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Deal between the Republicans and the Democrats on this. I
- 4:52Speaker 1: want to get into the gold topic because this is
- 4:54Speaker 1: a big issue. The first time we've ever hit four thousand,
- 4:58Speaker 1: What does this look like going to five and potentially
- 5:00Speaker 1: there's a lot of analysts that kind of go in
- 5:02Speaker 1: that direction. Before we go in that direction, you got
- 5:05Speaker 1: to look at I Trust Capital. I Trust Capital is
- 5:07Speaker 1: now has premium custody accounts out there, which you guys
- 5:10Speaker 1: can take advantage of through their cryptoiras. One thing about
- 5:13Speaker 1: I Trust which is one of our channel partners, is
- 5:16Speaker 1: you can actually do this around the gold and silver
- 5:18Speaker 1: component right now in putting gold and silver as well
- 5:21Speaker 1: as bitcoin ethereum and other assets into your CRYPTOIRA use
- 5:26Speaker 1: our link. We always drop a link down below, but
- 5:28Speaker 1: it is something that they have done in terms of
- 5:30Speaker 1: making their premium custody accounts much more accessible. So check
- 5:34Speaker 1: it out. Let's go to another point. Right here, Gold
- 5:37Speaker 1: is jumping to an all time high now more than
- 5:39Speaker 1: doubled over the last two years. Everybody is looking at this,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and finally Peter Schiff is probably just shaking his head saying,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I told you so. This is something he's been saying
- 5:47Speaker 1: for quite some time. And you can kind of see
- 5:49Speaker 1: the market and really where it's holding right now. The
- 5:52Speaker 1: monthly RSI hits ninety one point five, marking its most
- 5:56Speaker 1: overbar level on record. Not even two thousand, one eight
- 6:00Speaker 1: or twenty saw this. So is this a new era
- 6:04Speaker 1: for gold? Is this something that we continue to see
- 6:06Speaker 1: at skyrocketing or does gold get a big retest here
- 6:11Speaker 1: in general? Let me know what you guys think. If
- 6:13Speaker 1: you think this, we are on our way to five thousand,
- 6:15Speaker 1: because that would be significant for the markets in general.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It's up fifty four percent this year, Silver is up
- 6:21Speaker 1: sixty nine point seven percent this year. This is the
- 6:25Speaker 1: crazy part right here, is that silver is starting to
- 6:29Speaker 1: break loose. Could we be in the early stages of
- 6:32Speaker 1: a silver breakout similar to what happened around twenty five
- 6:35Speaker 1: hundred for gold. Of course, gold now hitting four thousand dollars.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Let me go to a clip here because this is
- 6:42Speaker 1: kind of interesting in terms of silver availability. Take a look.
- 6:46Speaker 6: Well, yeah, Africa, Canada, Vietnam, Costco, everything is gone. The
- 6:51Speaker 6: Royal Canadian mint is also sold out of almost everything
- 6:55Speaker 6: out of stock in the UK, Now create stock alert
- 6:59Speaker 6: one kilo, one kilo again, more products, more products. They
- 7:04Speaker 6: are dry. Perth mint is out of kilo bars. First
- 7:09Speaker 6: reported shortages in Japan and China, everything everywhere, all at once,
- 7:15Speaker 6: unlike anything we have ever seen before. Due to stock availability.
- 7:19Speaker 6: You are unable to purchase ten maximum is three. That's
- 7:22Speaker 6: because they've only got three left and there they go.
- 7:26Speaker 6: SD Bullion. So this is the United States, twenty two
- 7:29Speaker 6: hundred and seventy seven units available for purchase. Silver Monster
- 7:33Speaker 6: boxes are all sold out at Monument Metals here in
- 7:37Speaker 6: the United States. This is not a drill. All the
- 7:40Speaker 6: shares to shirt SLV are gone. Silver is on its
- 7:44Speaker 6: way to unobtainium this month.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Unobtainium because this little gray rock sells for twenty million akilo.
- 7:53Speaker 7: It's what pays for your science intrendo.
- 7:57Speaker 1: All right, So having some fun there. Point being is
- 7:59Speaker 1: that silver is on the move. Where we see a
- 8:01Speaker 1: fifty dollars silver and do we end up seeing it
- 8:04Speaker 1: bounce off that fifty dollars mark, because if it does,
- 8:07Speaker 1: there may be some opportunities there to play this out.
- 8:10Speaker 1: The other thing that's happening is just the awareness around this,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and what I mean by that is this whole issue
- 8:19Speaker 1: I think around how content creators are talking about this.
- 8:22Speaker 1: TikTok has become a huge spot because really, if you
- 8:24Speaker 1: think about it, TikTok has been very big in crypto,
- 8:27Speaker 1: but now silver is starting to take over over on TikTok.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Is this a sleeper of the year or what?
- 8:34Speaker 8: It doesn't get a lot of press, Like, not a
- 8:35Speaker 8: lot of people are talking about the fact that it's
- 8:37Speaker 8: trading that high.
- 8:38Speaker 5: There are only about three ounces of silver per person
- 8:41Speaker 5: in the world today, and I know it sounds unbelievable.
- 8:44Speaker 5: One thousand US dollars can only get you twenty eight
- 8:47Speaker 5: ounces of silver today at spot price.
- 8:50Speaker 2: All these quarters were minted prior to nineteen sixty five
- 8:54Speaker 2: ninety percent silver. These things are worth over seven dollars.
- 8:57Speaker 4: They're a little bit more expensive than silver cards, which
- 9:00Speaker 4: right now are actually really affordable. These are great for
- 9:03Speaker 4: taking to a grocery store in all the states where
- 9:06Speaker 4: gold and silver are now legal tender.
- 9:09Speaker 7: Most people come straight up to the counter and it's
- 9:12Speaker 7: going to be absolutely crazy here. It scares the heck
- 9:14Speaker 7: out of me.
- 9:15Speaker 2: The people that are.
- 9:16Speaker 7: Buying are longer term buyers this time. I believe that
- 9:21Speaker 7: silver breaks fifty, it's truly.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Going to go, and the fifty dollars level, there are
- 9:27Speaker 3: a lot of bad omens around.
- 9:28Speaker 4: That, and it starts to go up in taste.
- 9:31Speaker 8: Fifty taste in US M two to take into account inflation.
- 9:37Speaker 8: Compared to the twenty eleven highs and compared to the
- 9:41Speaker 8: nineteen eighty Hunt Brothers manipulation highs, silver hasn't even started,
- 9:46Speaker 8: all right.
- 9:46Speaker 1: So you can got to see it there. It has
- 9:48Speaker 1: a lot of correlation to the breakout period we saw
- 9:52Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen twenty twenty one for crypto. Maybe not
- 9:57Speaker 1: as dynamic, but I think what I'm about to show
- 9:59Speaker 1: you might kind of take you in that direction. Take
- 10:02Speaker 1: a look at this clip.
- 10:03Speaker 4: All this happened in one day, Like, what are we
- 10:05Speaker 4: already in the unobtainument.
- 10:07Speaker 9: I'm going to do another seven card pull. So it's
- 10:10Speaker 9: been manipulated. This guy's really manipulating, Like this card lets
- 10:14Speaker 9: go of something and they're searching for something higher. So
- 10:18Speaker 9: I think they've let go of manipulating, and now there's
- 10:22Speaker 9: some kind of infightings. You think it'll go to the
- 10:25Speaker 9: all time high and then keep going, but it could
- 10:28Speaker 9: keep doing that little step back. This is a universal
- 10:31Speaker 9: timing card. Interesting, and a lot of people are going
- 10:34Speaker 9: to be disappointed crying over spilt milk because they missed
- 10:38Speaker 9: out on it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: All right, Just so we're clear, guys, I think that
- 10:43Speaker 1: was a joke in the sense of arrort card reading
- 10:47Speaker 1: on silver. I don't know if I've ever seen that
- 10:49Speaker 1: with bitcoin. If there's one out there, let me let
- 10:51Speaker 1: me know. Let's take a trip over to the stock market,
- 10:54Speaker 1: because one of the things that did happen and also
- 10:56Speaker 1: had some impact I think on crypto in general, was
- 10:59Speaker 1: the flat And of course we saw Oracle losing one
- 11:02Speaker 1: hundred million on in Vidia chips. The stock market erased
- 11:05Speaker 1: forty nine billion in the Oracle stock and this of course,
- 11:08Speaker 1: gets into this whole issue. Look at that this whole
- 11:11Speaker 1: issue right now of the overbought nature of how AI
- 11:15Speaker 1: bubble may be in play. And remember I've had a
- 11:20Speaker 1: chance to talk to a lot of experts, and many
- 11:22Speaker 1: people have kind of said, hey, there's going to be
- 11:24Speaker 1: a point where the cost factor that's going to play
- 11:27Speaker 1: into AI is going to be so great and so large.
- 11:30Speaker 1: But on the counterpoint, a lot of experts are saying, no, not.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Now we're starting to see these models that are capable
- 11:36Speaker 1: of utilizing chips at a much lower level, meaning down
- 11:40Speaker 1: the road in video could actually have a retlacement. So
- 11:43Speaker 1: that's the kind of impact you could see around this,
- 11:46Speaker 1: So be very cautious in the AI side of things.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Let's jump go to a bitcoin real quick, because bitcoin
- 11:51Speaker 1: futures open interest rows sharply. A lot of traders now
- 11:53Speaker 1: adding longs during this. Remember this has a lot of
- 11:57Speaker 1: comparison to the twenty twenty one cycle. About the same
- 12:00Speaker 1: time of year, we saw the all time high in November,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and then of course from that a lot of people
- 12:06Speaker 1: got wrecked because they did not sell in that subsequent
- 12:09Speaker 1: sixty days. And I think a lot of people almost
- 12:12Speaker 1: have a little bit of PTSD from that, and it
- 12:15Speaker 1: might be why you're seeing so much edginess and seeing
- 12:18Speaker 1: these big, little slice corrections that we've seen in the market,
- 12:21Speaker 1: even around Bitcoin where it did slice direction and then
- 12:24Speaker 1: of course bounced off of like the one twenty one mark.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So this is something that is hitting the market right now.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Let me know how you guys are playing this out,
- 12:31Speaker 1: because right now the S and P is up thirty
- 12:33Speaker 1: four percent in six months, and the move has only
- 12:36Speaker 1: seen this ten times previously since nineteen thirty ten times,
- 12:41Speaker 1: all right, And eight out of those ten previous occurrences,
- 12:43Speaker 1: the S and P five hundred ended lower two weeks
- 12:46Speaker 1: later with an average decline of around three and a
- 12:48Speaker 1: half percent, which is significant. So are we in for
- 12:51Speaker 1: a pullback is the real question. And if a pullback
- 12:54Speaker 1: does occur, will that have a major effect on Bitcoin
- 12:59Speaker 1: and subsequently eth and some of the key all coins
- 13:02Speaker 1: that are trailing in behind that. So this is a
- 13:05Speaker 1: very intriguing time right now, guys. Now I want to
- 13:08Speaker 1: go to a clip here because this is something that
- 13:11Speaker 1: kind of showcases the current market that we're in right now.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Because a lot of people have come from the depths
- 13:17Speaker 1: of a sixteen thousand dollars bitcoin to where we're trading
- 13:20Speaker 1: right now, you know, or even one thousand dollars eth
- 13:23Speaker 1: to where we're trading right now. Take a look at
- 13:25Speaker 1: this clip.
- 13:26Speaker 10: There are now two hundred and forty thousand people with
- 13:28Speaker 10: crypto holding's worth one million dollars or more. That's according
- 13:32Speaker 10: to a new report from Henley In Partners and New
- 13:34Speaker 10: World Wealth. There are four hundred and fifty crypto cent
- 13:38Speaker 10: to millionaires. Those are folks with one hundred million dollars
- 13:40Speaker 10: or more in crypto and thirty six crypto billionaires.
- 13:44Speaker 5: For every dollar gained in.
- 13:46Speaker 10: Crypto wealth, crypto investors spend about ten cents, so that
- 13:49Speaker 10: would equate to about two hundred billion dollars and additional
- 13:53Speaker 10: spending this year. With early crypto investors now getting up
- 13:56Speaker 10: there in age, they're sort of in the thirties and forties,
- 13:59Speaker 10: buying lamba has been replaced by real estate. Study found
- 14:02Speaker 10: that locations with large crypto populations saw larger gains and
- 14:06Speaker 10: home prices when there were crypto rally, which is, are
- 14:10Speaker 10: people essentially borrowing against their bitcoin to buy these things
- 14:13Speaker 10: or they just kind of liquidata piece of them.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I'm sure there's no one.
- 14:16Speaker 10: Well, what was interesting in this research that there there
- 14:17Speaker 10: seem to be two big buckets of crypto investors. They're
- 14:20Speaker 10: the whales, the long term holders that rarely sell, but
- 14:25Speaker 10: when they do it tends to be at market peaks
- 14:27Speaker 10: right now. The sort of more diversified crypto traders, they're
- 14:32Speaker 10: not selling right now because they see sort of ripping off.
- 14:35Speaker 10: The Paul Tutor Jones comments that we're about to see
- 14:38Speaker 10: a big run up before a selloff eventually in crypto.
- 14:42Speaker 10: They know there's going to be a cycle, but they
- 14:43Speaker 10: feel like conditions are ripe right now for bitcoin and
- 14:47Speaker 10: crypto to go higher.
- 14:49Speaker 1: All right, So this is the kind of juxtaposition that
- 14:52Speaker 1: we're in right now. You've got a variety of different
- 14:55Speaker 1: camps considering much like if you kind of consider where
- 14:59Speaker 1: even Tom Lee has talked about on eth go anywhere
- 15:02Speaker 1: between twelve and fifteen, You've got him also picking a
- 15:06Speaker 1: two hundred K bitcoin at the end of the year.
- 15:08Speaker 1: We had Canary Capital talking about a one forty in
- 15:10Speaker 1: October bitcoin one hundred and forty k. We've had many
- 15:14Speaker 1: analysts that are kind of pointing in this direction. People
- 15:16Speaker 1: now also stretching into next year twenty twenty six, so
- 15:21Speaker 1: you can see that the froth is here. Are we
- 15:23Speaker 1: seeing top signs? As the real question now the FED
- 15:26Speaker 1: is going to be a big part of this in
- 15:29Speaker 1: the next few months. One of this, of course, is
- 15:32Speaker 1: going to come at the end of this month. And
- 15:33Speaker 1: who is going to be the big beneficiary of two
- 15:35Speaker 1: more rate cuts. Well, Ethereum could be that it could
- 15:38Speaker 1: be the biggest winner because remember eth has not yet
- 15:41Speaker 1: hit its previous market high, So this is an opportunity
- 15:44Speaker 1: where Eith could really start to break out and kind
- 15:47Speaker 1: of meet the destiny of what Tom Lee has been
- 15:49Speaker 1: talking about. I don't know if we're looking at that,
- 15:52Speaker 1: because you see this massive sideways action right now in
- 15:55Speaker 1: comparison to the Russell two thousand and Ethereum almost the
- 15:59Speaker 1: same thing. And if you look at some of the
- 16:01Speaker 1: notes right here interest rates shop, you'll becomes even more
- 16:04Speaker 1: attractive that pour straws a lot of people in the
- 16:07Speaker 1: broader risk of course, is gold surge now over four K.
- 16:11Speaker 1: All of this could be prompting expectations of a pullback
- 16:14Speaker 1: and the event that could shift capital from defensive holdings
- 16:17Speaker 1: into something like ethereum that pushes Ethereum up. Could we
- 16:22Speaker 1: see gold play a part of Eath surge to an
- 16:25Speaker 1: all time high, and possibly maybe Eth going to ten K.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Let me know what you guys think down in the comments.
- 16:31Speaker 1: If you're not part of the Diamond Circle, make sure
- 16:33Speaker 1: and get on that. It is where I put out
- 16:35Speaker 1: an email each week. It's the Baron Market Edge. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: do a lot of things in there in terms of
- 16:39Speaker 1: here's some picks I have, here's why I think the
- 16:41Speaker 1: market is going this direction. We put some additional research
- 16:43Speaker 1: in there. It's free, so join down below, follow me
- 16:46Speaker 1: on X at Paul Baron. We'll catch you next time
- 16:48Speaker 1: right here on the Paul Baron Show.
