- 0:00It has been brought to the attention of many of of the
- 0:03fandom and and I think maybe to Jared himself in the moment,
- 0:07maybe even that Star Citizen may be considering fast travel as a
- 0:14mechanic in the game. Here.
- 0:15Oh man, do we? I am I'm.
- 0:20Playing line up everybody. No, I was going to say I am a I
- 0:27am a fan of what I like to call touching the third, the third
- 0:30rail of Star Citizen whenever you want to, when you want to
- 0:33like really rile people up, you want to touch that third rail.
- 0:37One of those third rails. I always I always like to touch
- 0:39is NPC crew sucks. And I'm I'm tired of prevent
- 0:43pretending it doesn't because that just that gets unreasonable
- 0:47angry comments in your in your in your anywhere.
- 0:51So this is. Exactly.
- 0:54Say that with your with your whole chest and see how many
- 0:56people get mad at you with the comments.
- 1:01I have a slightly nuanced take to this in the sense that I
- 1:07think fast travel is bad, but I think you can still accomplish
- 1:13the same thing without losing the sense of scale in the star
- 1:16season universe. And we already have an example
- 1:19of that, which was the the public transit systems of Wow.
- 1:24I remember there was, I can't remember the name of it
- 1:26specifically, but where you could get on like Griffin and it
- 1:28would like take you to different locations, but you'd have to
- 1:31like literally fly on those those Griffins.
- 1:35Skyrim had something similar where like with the with the.
- 1:38Dragon. Well Skyrim.
- 1:40You could fast travel from your map at any time.
- 1:43You could, but you could also take the the like the wagon,
- 1:49like you go pay, pay some money and take the wagon and it would
- 1:52take you. Originally that was supposed to
- 1:54be a 1 to 1. You get into the wagon and it
- 1:56would just walk you through the entire thing.
- 1:58So you would have to like stay in the wagon.
- 2:00As it moved, they found it was a little bit too slow.
- 2:03So I could see something like that, You know, even if the
- 2:07early implementation is just like, hey, you got a timer 510
- 2:11minutes you'll be you'll be to the location, but you don't have
- 2:14to worry about it. You can just go use the
- 2:16bathroom. You can go, you know, grab
- 2:19something to eat. You just have a timer counting
- 2:20down until you arrive at the location, which works just like
- 2:24a teleportation, but it adds the whole, well, now you have to
- 2:27sacrifice some time, maybe some money to to get to that
- 2:30location. You're still there.
- 2:31You can still link up, but you can't just go instantly snap
- 2:34your fingers and be like, oh, I'm across the universe.
- 2:37It's like, Nah, you got to have some time waiting while also
- 2:41allowing for people to ease your link up and, you know, not be
- 2:45able to take your ships with you.
- 2:46Especially as the game gets bigger and they start doing what
- 2:48they're already done with, like ships where you have to pay
- 2:51money to get them back. I can see that starting to
- 2:57something like that could work. But I, I'm not a big fan of the
- 3:00whole just show up in the hangar kind of thing because that seems
- 3:02like it ruins a lot of the point of travel because, you know,
- 3:08that's time and energy and the risk of doing so.
- 3:13So, so you're saying this is like, this is like something
- 3:16where you you can go to a Kelto, you select your respawn point
- 3:20and then they humanely put your clone down and then you wake up
- 3:23somewhere else? More, more, more like you show
- 3:27up at like you you go to like the, the like the the hanger
- 3:30section and there's like a a kiosk.
- 3:31It's like get Bojor Genesis Starliner today and you just
- 3:35click the hanger and and it'll just for early on you just fade
- 3:39to black. But otherwise you could just let
- 3:41go onto a onto a Genesis Starliner and just sit there
- 3:45while the thing flies. Even if it's like in a an
- 3:48instant zone. You don't or you don't even see
- 3:49anything. You're just sitting there.
- 3:51Kind of like in the in Wow when you want to take the Griffin or
- 3:54the the flying creatures to the different locations, you can
- 3:57actually look down and see the whole map as.
- 3:59You're flying, Murphy. Jack, how do you feel about
- 4:02instant travel? Oh fuck it, monetize it $5 a
- 4:05piece, get our second billion. Fuck off man, get out.
- 4:09Of here. I like it.
- 4:10That's the best take I've heard so far.
- 4:12Yeah. That is, that is amazing hyper
- 4:16capitalist go. I mean, they can't.
- 4:18Wait, of course they. Just solve everyone's fears
- 4:21about how CID is going to monetize the game, right?
- 4:24Everyone's like, oh, they're going to charge your
- 4:26subscription fee, or oh, they're going to make it pay to win.
- 4:29Nope, it's just pay to travel folks.
- 4:33I ironically, that's not that's my biggest problem is just it's
- 4:37there's no punishment to it. If there's no punishment,
- 4:39there's nothing you have to give up in order to do it.
- 4:40Then it feels weird. But like, yeah, pay $5 to move.
- 4:44Yeah, I'm OK with that. You want to move fast?
- 4:46You're going to be paying paying the server fees.
- 4:48I mean, not as serious, no, I and I know he's going to pipe up
- 4:51too, because I, I, I really feel that it's not a good idea.
- 4:57It's just, it's just stupid. It's it's and I and I really
- 5:02feel like that the dev when they were talking and everything,
- 5:05this was kind of just like a he, you know, it wasn't really
- 5:08didn't get the whole thing out maybe or it was just.
- 5:12AI mean he did, he basically said.
- 5:14Like it's just one of those things where they they have to
- 5:17talk about these ideas. Right, that was.
- 5:20Yeah, I mean. That's.
- 5:21Like they have to look at everything, talk about it.
- 5:25On stream, yeah. Well, officially.
- 5:28I mean, look how many things they've said before, right?
- 5:30Any. Press I, I really feel like
- 5:32it's, it's not going to happen, I mean.
- 5:34This is. It died right there.
- 5:35I can I can see the point, though.
- 5:37I mean, how it's it's tough for some people to get I, I'm, I'm
- 5:42one of those people, right? I, I've got too many kids.
- 5:46I didn't pay attention in sex ass back in the day, So I, I
- 5:49don't have as much time to play as I'd like.
- 5:51Like even tonight it took a bribe for me to be here for this
- 5:55outing. The space stat argument.
- 5:58Right. So it maybe I've got an hour,
- 6:00maybe 2 hours to play like two or three times a week.
- 6:05And it, it's good. I mean, it's a space SIM, right?
- 6:11So like that travel time is part of it.
- 6:13And we, I do enjoy that. And most people who are into
- 6:16this game obviously enjoy that. But then it's tough, like, you
- 6:19know, you, you joined your org and it's like, Hey guys, what
- 6:21are we doing? And they're like, oh, well,
- 6:22we're all in Stanton at micro tech, you know, doing this.
- 6:26And I'm like, cool, well, I'm at Levski, you know, so I'll be
- 6:31there as soon as I can. And then obviously you're gonna
- 6:33get in the strip. You're gonna fight your way
- 6:35through. And I know what wickets gonna
- 6:36say about this. So hold on Wicket.
- 6:37You're gonna fight your way through, you know, 3 or 4
- 6:40different bugs just to get out of your hangar.
- 6:42And then you got to fight with the bug to get your, the
- 6:44navigation to work. And then you're gonna jump.
- 6:47And then hopefully the, the, the jump point actually functions
- 6:51properly and you come out and stand and then you get over
- 6:53there. And once that's all done, it's
- 6:55been at least like 30-40 minutes of all that stuff.
- 7:01And now you're, and now you're there.
- 7:02And then you die and you forgot to set your spawn.
- 7:08You're back at Lenski. And, and many times the reaction
- 7:11to that is, well, I guess I got to go to bed.
- 7:17So it, it, it is punishing. And I think that's what the,
- 7:20what the devil was saying too, is that, you know, they're, they
- 7:22have to have these, these conversations because they're
- 7:26trying to, and I know it's a dirty word.
- 7:27They're trying to make the game more accessible, but that it's a
- 7:32very delicate balance. I mean, I, there are definitely
- 7:36games that have been destroyed by becoming more accessible.
- 7:40I, I was always, I, I've, I love home world.
- 7:43If anyone's played that series before, like I, I love playing
- 7:46those games when I was younger. Homo three finally came out
- 7:50recently, which was like, yes, it's, it's been so long.
- 7:53It's so exciting. And all throughout the
- 7:56development process, they kept mentioning we're going to make
- 7:57it more accessible and, and they did, which meant it was garbage.
- 8:01And you know, it didn't do all the things that the original
- 8:05did. And then it, it, it failed, it
- 8:08collapsed. And I think they could do that
- 8:11here too. I saw a quote recently, I forget
- 8:14where it was, but talking about the insta travel, someone said
- 8:17once you have insta travel, the universe just becomes a lobby,
- 8:23right, Yeah, and it and I, I feel that, but I also feel the
- 8:27pain of of not being able to easily join your org for certain
- 8:33things. So I don't I don't know what the
- 8:35answer is there. Maybe the answer is suck it up
- 8:38and then I'm fine with that too, honestly.
- 8:40But there's, they've got to have the conversation.
- 8:43We've got to talk about it as a community and, and see what we
- 8:47can come up with. And maybe it is just, you know,
- 8:49you go to the clinic voluntarily euthanize yourself, you know,
- 8:54and you can be transported to the other clinic, but you don't
- 8:57have, you don't have your stuff. You can't claim your ship over
- 8:59there. I, I don't know, you know, there
- 9:02can be downsides to that as well.
- 9:04I like the idea of using public transit, but also that's
- 9:08supposed to be another game loop, right?
- 9:10Like, I don't want to take that out.
- 9:13Like we're trying so hard to create this systemic open world
- 9:18with, with all of this emergent gameplay.
- 9:22And then we keep shooting it in the back of the head while it's
- 9:26holding a little Bunny. You know, it's like, oh, we're
- 9:28gonna have, we're gonna have fuelling in the game finally,
- 9:30cause lips, he's coming in and you're, you're going to be
- 9:33running out of fuel constantly. And then it was like, actually,
- 9:36we're going to increase the fuel, you know, the fuel reserve
- 9:39of each ship by like 4, you know, four times.
- 9:41And we're going to cut the system in half.
- 9:43And now we're going to sprinkle space stations all over the
- 9:46place. So really, you know, don't worry
- 9:48about it. So yeah, just that's, we just
- 9:52got to talk about it. That's all I'm saying.
- 9:56I, I, I agree. One thing I'll just say real
- 9:59quickly is that I think but a lot of stuff you, you pointed
- 10:01out is more of ACIG fixture stupid game.
- 10:05And CIG you have, you have the buttons.
- 10:08Please, please push the buttons. Like is there a game?
- 10:11Is there a mission out there that CIG has made that is less
- 10:14than 20 minutes? That is one thing like I wanted
- 10:17to touch on is that the the fast travel thing and everything and
- 10:21everybody being upset, like Duke's saying dying and stuff.
- 10:24If we didn't run into as many bugs as we did trying to get
- 10:27somewhere, right, The jumpgate to just just take the jumpgate
- 10:30for one example, right? Being spit out back and standing
- 10:34at three times if we didn't run into all these.
- 10:37Bugs, would it be? Not my fault?
- 10:38Not my fault, by the way, it's the game.
- 10:39Would the. Travel.
- 10:40Would be that bad really if it worked consistently.
- 10:46And then maybe like the Genesis Starliner, the Kraken, the all
- 10:50these big ships that the focus is transport.
- 10:54Give them a wicked quantum drive that makes them go four times as
- 10:58fast as an XL1 or whatever, right?
- 11:01Make it make it quick. So.
- 11:05I don't know, game breaking. The the, the point is, is that
- 11:11there are solutions other than go jumping straight to, you
- 11:14know, instant transmission that I think CIG is jumping over.
- 11:20So it it feels like Scopeland CI GS finding a a solution.
- 11:25That doesn't exist. You know what way to rehash the
- 11:29past? There, Astro Yeah, I've not let
- 11:32it go. It still burns in my.
- 11:35Heart, like you said, Murphy, if you a big part of the delay in,
- 11:38in that whole story is the bugs, right.
- 11:41So if the, if they do allow a fast travel and that fast travel
- 11:45was literally it was, oh, you're, you're getting in a star
- 11:49liner and it's going to take you there.
- 11:51I think that could work. Give it even the exact same
- 11:55amount of time, right as like let's say the fastest drive in
- 11:57the game, just give it that. But it's a, it's not
- 12:02physicalized. There's so there's no travel
- 12:05bugs opportunities along the way.
- 12:08So someone could just, you know, click that, you know, pay a fee
- 12:11for it, leave, go go use the potty and get something to eat
- 12:17and come back and then be ready to play with their org.
- 12:20You know, something like that might work if like, you know,
- 12:24like we said, if it's really just all those bugs, then it
- 12:28doesn't need to be instant. It just needs to be hassle free.
- 12:34Yeah, and fast. I do have a a a bit of an
- 12:38opposing viewpoint on this. Yeah, Brock, the Rabblord, Nubis
- 12:41and then Wicked will finish it. So it's, you know, a lot of like
- 12:48carpool citizen, it's a lot of catching up trying to get to
- 12:50people. I saw a morphologist had
- 12:53something where it's like treat the treat bed logging like Med
- 12:58beds. How they should Med beds are
- 13:00going to work where there's like multiple Med beds 'cause you
- 13:05know, everyone wants the team bed logging back.
- 13:07But to effectively do that, excuse me, everyone has to bed
- 13:12log at the same time and everyone has to log back on at
- 13:15the same time. And like if the owner of the
- 13:18ship is like, oh, actually I have something else I got to do,
- 13:21It's like, OK, well shit do do we just not play tonight?
- 13:24Like do we wait for him? Do we like what do we do?
- 13:27Like we all prepared to like do this big fun adventure all on
- 13:30the same ship because we all grew bed logged.
- 13:32Now are we all just going to respond back at our home
- 13:36location? So I think having an easy way
- 13:40for everyone to spawn onto a ship together kind of just like
- 13:46gets the gets the ball rolling it.
- 13:47It cuts out that like 20 minutes of like, oh, hey, I'm at the
- 13:51space station, I'm here, I'm there.
- 13:52Like I got to claim a ship. And I understand like preparing
- 13:56is part of it, but it feels like everyone needing to drive to get
- 14:03to the event instead of just waking up at the event doesn't
- 14:08feel like that drastic of a you see how it's.
- 14:12Easily exploited though, right? Like.
- 14:17Explain it to me. Well if I can, if you're my
- 14:21party leader and I can log on to you and be insta travelled
- 14:24somewhere else, I can just pay someone money to let to have
- 14:29them let me and their party when they're somewhere else and you
- 14:33affect. No, no, that's not I'm not
- 14:34saying I'm not saying party leader.
- 14:35I'm saying you get onto like I get onto a Kraken and I pick one
- 14:41of the beds and I say, OK, this is one of my spawn locations.
- 14:45Like one of three, one of five, one of However, I log out and
- 14:51then next time I'm on, when the captain of that of that Kraken
- 14:55is on, I'm like, hey, man, what's going on?
- 14:57Like what are you up to? Nothing.
- 14:58I'm just like hanging out and like Levski, think I might get
- 15:02up to something later. You want to join me?
- 15:04It's like, yeah, sure, I'll be there in a SEC.
- 15:06You pop on and then you're just, you're a screw like beds.
- 15:08Beds are going to have to do something.
- 15:10Yeah, the. Gamify on the bed a.
- 15:12Little bit yeah. And it's it feels like it's not
- 15:16like I don't, I don't know, I don't, I don't give a shit.
- 15:18Like sometimes like you just want to like get in there and
- 15:21like play. And I don't want to be chasing
- 15:23the, the, the team or the org to try to get kind of like what
- 15:27Duke was saying, like you got to spend 10 minutes here.
- 15:30And I'm not going to like factor bugs into it, but like spend 10
- 15:34minutes here, spend 10 minutes there, like trying to catch up
- 15:36with everybody. Then you got to ditch your ship.
- 15:38And now that like when tier one insurance is in, like, do I
- 15:41like, where do I ditch it? Am I going to be able to get
- 15:43back to that station later? Like it's just, it's just like a
- 15:46lot of a lot of like clumsy logistics that I feel like we
- 15:52don't necessarily need. Lord Nubis, what do you feel
- 15:57about this? Yeah, it's got to be a mechanic
- 16:04that is an instant and it's got to cost something either by
- 16:09autopilot like the like the space way mode concept, or by
- 16:15killing your clone. But I, I think if it's too easy,
- 16:19you're not going to see the grandeur that is, you know,
- 16:23travelling across the verse and that that's going to, it's going
- 16:27to miss something. Yeah, I like traveling across
- 16:32the verse wicket. Last word here on Insta travel.
- 16:36Great idea or fantastic idea? Well, let me preface this I'm
- 16:42I'm going to read something that I wrote in in our Guild disc
- 16:48Guild slash org for those purists org discord.
- 16:52When we were talking about this, this topic back and forth, there
- 16:56were several people, you know, giving their feedback about,
- 17:00about this. And this is what I had to say.
- 17:03So I wrote and I just want to read it basically verbatim for
- 17:08Save It for Prosper, for the court, Yeah, for the court of
- 17:12public opinion later on when they proved me correct.
- 17:16So I wrote no instant travel ever, please.
- 17:20Lots of arguments or justifications for fast travel
- 17:23or arguments about time. That's valid.
- 17:27But consider your metric. This is all gauged against the
- 17:30current game, including all the jank and bugs.
- 17:33Elevator eats your ship? Time waste.
- 17:35Elevator eats you time waste. Unable to quantum to fill in the
- 17:39blank. Can't find my team?
- 17:42Party markers are not working. I can go on but think everyone
- 17:45gets the idea. Everyone knows this.
- 17:48You all play the game. Now consider we live in a game
- 17:51world that these issues are solved.
- 17:53We no longer need fast travel. I go on to say I've been playing
- 17:58Mmos for a very long time. All the quality of life slash
- 18:02fast travel are world killers, community killers, vibe killers.
- 18:07If you make the world irrelevant, you no longer need
- 18:09it. In fact, if fast travel is
- 18:12implemented in any form, it will be abused once in the game.
- 18:17It's here forever and everyone will want more of it.
- 18:21There will be arguments for less cool down on fast travel.
- 18:24More ways to use fast travel. Example I need to fast travel my
- 18:28ship and gear to X. The argument will be it's QOL
- 18:33quality of life. I don't have time to play.
- 18:36Please make it easier to play. This is a very stupid argument.
- 18:41If you don't have time to play, I.
- 18:43Feel personally. If you don't have time to if you
- 18:48if you don't have time to play, you don't have time to play.
- 18:53Simple play when? You have.
- 18:55Time. I've said it in the in in an
- 18:59earlier post, but planning and logistics in this game will
- 19:03become a major strength for the guilds that can pull it off
- 19:07successfully. The distance in SC is a feature
- 19:11and should not be spoiled by our current bugs and problems.
- 19:14With SC in its current state and looking for workarounds, I say
- 19:19fix the problems and the workarounds like fast travel
- 19:22become irrelevant. Thank you.
- 19:25Yeah, you know what I liked about that way?
- 19:26Game defense. Rests.
- 19:27Defense rests I I like that Bravo E called a feature.
- 19:34I think that I think distance. Is a feature.
- 19:36I think you're right. Think about it, part of the
- 19:37game. Listen, this way people wouldn't
- 19:41have been fighting to the nail to get to take away fast travel
- 19:44in Starfield, and Bethesda wouldn't have spent all that
- 19:48time and effort to actually add in travel between between
- 19:51planets if they didn't think it was an important feature that
- 19:54people want in space games. If we don't need, If we don't
- 19:57need the space that our game inhabits, If we don't need to
- 20:01get out of the bed and take the elevator to the hangar.
- 20:04If we don't need the hangar and ATC.
- 20:07If we don't need the warp Dr. slash quantum drive to from X to
- 20:12to Y, from A to B. If we don't need all that, then.
- 20:16Why don't we just have loading screens?
- 20:19We can just pop into our ship, you know, pop out of our ship
- 20:23when we need to. Why have they spent all this
- 20:25time and effort to animate, to create these spaces, these
- 20:31environments and all this tech to make it, to enable it, just
- 20:35to fast travel away from it? I think it would.
- 20:40I think fast travel in any form will be the death knell for Star
- 20:45Citizen in one way or another. It may happen gradually, or it
- 20:49may happen very quickly. I hope to God they don't ever
- 20:52implement it. Go fuck yourself, Duke.
- 20:55I I, I didn't say I wanted it. I was just having the
- 20:57conversation. I personally don't want it.
- 21:00Listen, Duke, we heard you. It's.
- 21:01Recording, I mean, I I don't, I want it.
- 21:04I don't like I want it too. I'm.
- 21:05Certain, we know we we pegged you broccoli, Rob.
- 21:11He was casual. We pegged.
- 21:16You we all pegged you. I pegged you.
- 21:18Anubis pegged you Wicked pegged you.
- 21:20Astro Puppy. He's.
- 21:21New boy. Give him time.
- 21:24Listen, listen, listen. As long as it's consensual, it's
- 21:27OK. But you know, you got to ask.
- 21:29Ask Broccoli first if he if if he wants to get pegged.
- 21:33Yeah, you know, I'll get in here.
- 21:34What's up? With Comms radio, we're having
- 21:37fun here, baby. We're having fun here tonight.
- 21:40No 111 more thing I will say about this like if you want, if
- 21:44you want unattended travel, you know if they want to bring the
- 21:49the the Galaxy space liner in or they want to have some kind of
- 21:53travel system as long as it happens in game in game time.
- 21:58Yeah, that makes. Sense that's fine, you know, and
- 22:02if something happened like, you know, there's a lot of Mmos that
- 22:04have travel mechanisms. World of Warcraft have the
- 22:07Griffins. I mean they have other animals
- 22:09that fly, they have the boats, they have the undersea tram that
- 22:14goes from Iron Forge to Stormwind.
- 22:17You know, Arc Agent, it's day, it had the Stagecoach, but that
- 22:22all happened in real time in the game.
- 22:23Well, if I log out, I can take the taxi cab to a station and it
- 22:30can travel me as I log out and so I won't get killed or
- 22:34anything. But when I log back in then I
- 22:35can be at my other place. I think that's cool.
- 22:38Yeah, but it would. But if you log in right away,
- 22:40you'd log in on the taxi. Yeah, 100%.
- 22:43Yeah. So you think you should be able
- 22:44to do it and log out? There's ways so you would say.
- 22:47There's. Ways to initiate travel that
- 22:50isn't instant and that doesn't break the reason to have the
- 22:53space Listen, if we're already we want we we barely have three
- 22:58systems right now and they're talking fast travel they want to
- 23:03release 5 systems and. 100. The, the, the, the big pie in
- 23:07the sky dream is 100. You know, if, if, if, if you're
- 23:12going to fast travel from system one to system 100.
- 23:16You know, whatever that mechanism is, it's a for me, the
- 23:21game is over. I want slow travel.
- 23:23That's not I want to live on my ship.
- 23:25I signed up for. Yeah, well, I think I.
- 23:29Think I made my here's an edge case that like I've been
- 23:33thinking about that. I, I, I don't know, like
- 23:35there's, there's certain cases where I like, I feel like it's
- 23:37needed say I wake up on an Idris, right?
- 23:42And I don't have the permissions to go I, I'm alone.
- 23:46The owner of the Idris is in Europe for the week.
- 23:51I'm I wake up on it and I don't have permission to go to the
- 23:54pilot's seat. Like I'm locked out of pretty
- 23:56much everything. Do I just not play the game for
- 23:59a week? Do I?
- 24:01In that. Case like punch the door open
- 24:03like there's there's got to be. I don't think that.
- 24:06There's got to be. That's a problem that needs to
- 24:09be solved. OK, those are mechanics that can
- 24:11easily be solved by the developers, but for right now
- 24:15that's already a a solved issue. Back before meshing and when we
- 24:18had ships where you can bed log off of if you didn't bed log, if
- 24:23you bed logged on somebody's ship back when it used to work
- 24:26and that ship was no longer in the universe because guys off to
- 24:29Europe and his and his Idris has not spawned in, you're just
- 24:32going to spawn back either at your home location or at your
- 24:34port of your last port of call. That's easily fixed.
- 24:38But that's teleporting. That is teleporting, but that's,
- 24:44that's, I mean, what, what at at some point you have to be able
- 24:47to, to, to continue to allow to play.
- 24:50Now, if you, if you want to have absolute, if you, if, if you
- 24:53absolutely want to not have that because that that's an edge
- 24:56case, like you said. And I think in an edge case like
- 24:59that, there should be some mechanic to solve it, unless you
- 25:04think that maybe you you spawn in and you spawn in space where
- 25:08that last, that interest was last at and now it's up for you
- 25:11to call for rescue. I could see that happening.
- 25:14But I mean, at some point, you know, it's it is a game, it's
- 25:17not real. But then where?
- 25:20Do you? Which is, I mean, but that's,
- 25:22that's why I think like there should be 4 spawn locations that
- 25:25you can use. Like, you know, I log on and
- 25:30someone's like actually I don't really want to do this.
- 25:32I got to log off and you're stuck out there and because like
- 25:36that's it. Like you're just like, OK,
- 25:38that's it. I have to.
- 25:39I have to. Tell it's a simple.
- 25:41Home location now. I think it's a simple solve.
- 25:43You either they either force spawn you back at your home
- 25:46location, or they force spawn you at your last port of call.
- 25:50Now do you call? That I guess you.
- 25:51Could, but I call it spawning. I mean it is after all a game
- 25:55and you actually have to start from.
- 25:57Somewhere real quick. Real quick.
- 25:58Yeah, 100% agree. But say I don't know and the
- 26:03captain's like delayed an hour, like there's there's going to be
- 26:05like situations where you are locked out of the game because
- 26:09of that and like Idris persists, like it doesn't go away.
- 26:13It spawns in with you and you say, hey, on my Mobi glass, I'm
- 26:17actually all done here taking back to Orson.
- 26:22It just feels like, I don't know, like you're kind of you
- 26:26bed logged for a reason and now it's gone.
- 26:28And like the whole thing with like group bed logging is that
- 26:31everyone has to bed log at the same time and they all have to
- 26:33jump back in at the same time. It just feels like an
- 26:37unnecessary limiting factor to in to gameplay.
- 26:45That is, I think that's that's a problem that's, that's not, this
- 26:50is a good idea. It's a good thing, but it's not
- 26:53the problem they're trying to solve because the problem
- 26:54they're trying to solve right now is grouping up and, and I
- 26:58feel like that's a good idea, but it's one of those things
- 27:00where it'll eventually have to happen down the road.
- 27:03But. Yeah, gripping up is always the
- 27:07biggest barrier of entry to this game.
- 27:08Well, the first the the the first part they have to fix is
- 27:11being able to bed log on on on on someone else's ship.
- 27:16The first thing you have to fix is social tools that work.
- 27:21I mean, we're also think we're also going to think about things
- 27:22like persistence, being able to log back in where you last were,
- 27:26you know, those, those are all things that like, and This is
- 27:28why, like I said, it's this is a problem, this is a, a non, this
- 27:32is a solution looking for a problem.
- 27:34Like there's so many other things that are broken.
- 27:36Like get those done 1st and then maybe talk about the
- 27:39teleportation. They need to fix the flight
- 27:41model first. Yeah.
- 27:47Well. Every time he humbles that.
- 27:49Today's any metric. They need to learn how to
- 27:51release a patch first.
