- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome to just the cats with Michael Bennett. What the
- 0:11Speaker 1: heck was that? New voice. Are we just switching them
- 0:15Speaker 1: every few months? I'll explain off air. Yeah. New imaging guy.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Oh, we can't let the listeners know why we're switching.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's really that bad. Um, I'd rather not. Okay. All right.
- 0:27Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:28Speaker 2: You tell me, then I'll tell everybody else when we
- 0:30Speaker 2: come back on air. It's like, oh my gosh, man.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's just like every couple of months you're freaking me out.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You know that messes me up, don't you?
- 0:37Speaker 1: For what it's worth, I like this one. Oh, you do?
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You'll get used to it. It's a little weird at first,
- 0:42Speaker 1: but you'll get used to it. Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 0:43Speaker 1: It's a little weird at first. Change is hard. Change
- 0:47Speaker 1: is not.
- 0:48Speaker 2: only hard to me it's it's wrong because i just
- 0:51Speaker 2: don't like change i mean here we go changing another
- 0:54Speaker 2: this is the third big voice we've had in the
- 0:58Speaker 2: past what five six months um yes that's probably because
- 1:03Speaker 2: we had the original then we had the second one
- 1:05Speaker 2: which i really liked now we got this one i
- 1:08Speaker 2: don't know i might have to listen to that again
- 1:11Speaker 2: Can you just play the big voice, or do you
- 1:13Speaker 2: have to play the whole thing?
- 1:14Speaker 1: You'll hear it at the top of the album. No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I want to hear it right now. Can you not
- 1:18Speaker 1: play it again? It's okay if you can't. I mean,
- 1:20Speaker 1: I probably could.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Just don't make a big deal of it, but I'm
- 1:24Speaker 2: just kind of, can you play it without the music?
- 1:26Speaker 1: No.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You can't okay but i can play can you play
- 1:29Speaker 2: just the voice uh with i have to play the
- 1:33Speaker 2: whole open or nothing you have to play the entire
- 1:35Speaker 2: opener okay i don't have to play the entire thing
- 1:37Speaker 2: but okay i want to i want to just hear
- 1:39Speaker 2: where he starts talking yeah let's see well see there.
- 1:43Speaker 1: We go you're playing the whole thing again that's what
- 1:45Speaker 1: i told you i had welcome to just the cats
- 1:48Speaker 1: with michael bennett there you go And you like it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I like it. Okay. If you like it, I'm good.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I like it. I like the other guy better. Right now.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe I'll change my mind. Oh, boy.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I just. Something like that. You got to tell me
- 2:04Speaker 1: these things when they happen. I forgot. I'm sorry. You
- 2:08Speaker 1: forgot Trevor was coming on one day. You forgot the
- 2:11Speaker 1: big voices coming on one day. Admittedly, I forgot the
- 2:14Speaker 1: Trevor thing coming on on purpose. Oh, you did? Why
- 2:18Speaker 1: did you forget that on purpose? Because I didn't want
- 2:20Speaker 1: to freak you out for a day that I wasn't
- 2:23Speaker 1: going to be there. You know that. I figured it
- 2:26Speaker 1: was going to be much better if I just waited
- 2:28Speaker 1: until the last minute and been like, hey, by the way.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I think we need a poll. I think we need
- 2:33Speaker 2: to ask the listeners. Can you play the old version
- 2:36Speaker 2: or no?
- 2:37Speaker 1: No. Oh, it's gone. Gone. Really? It's gone, gone? Gone, gone. Oh,
- 2:42Speaker 1: my gosh. And again, I'll tell you all a fair one. Okay.
- 2:44Speaker 1: All right, then. Well, I guess I don't know. Is it?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Is it like he's gone to jail or something? Oh, no.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I take it to that.
- 2:52Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 2:52Speaker 2: The guy is in so much trouble, he's gone to jail,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and he's no longer allowed to have any kind of
- 2:58Speaker 2: big voice on radio anywhere, so we don't have to
- 3:00Speaker 2: have a reminder, oh, yeah, that guy's in jail.
- 3:02Speaker 1: No, it's nothing nefarious. Might have just found a new opportunity.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I don't know. Oh, really? Okay.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I'm happy for him, so he found
- 3:10Speaker 2: a new opportunity. It's just not with the Big X.
- 3:13Speaker 2: So I would like to know from everyone out there,
- 3:16Speaker 2: if you want to call 502-384-1450, you want to text
- 3:19Speaker 2: me on the Whiskey Thief text line, you tell me
- 3:21Speaker 2: what you think of the new voice, if you like it.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I just wish it would say Justin Kalen, too. Not
- 3:26Speaker 2: just Michael Bennett. Does it always have to just say me?
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean, it's your show. I understand, but you're on it.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I know, but if we added my name for every
- 3:36Speaker 1: show that I'm on, people would get tired of hearing
- 3:39Speaker 1: my name.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Well, Maybe they wouldn't. Maybe they're out there thinking, you know,
- 3:43Speaker 2: Justin should be added to this.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:45Speaker 2: You got your own right before us. You're on with me.
- 3:49Speaker 2: But John Spears has Tony.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Not for the next two weeks. Good gosh. Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Tony's in Alaska.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And then you got the other guy with the Hoosier Report.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I don't know what his name is.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Matt Denison. Okay. And then. But I'm on his show
- 4:04Speaker 1: from time to time. Oh, you are? From time to time.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But you're on this show for the entirety. Yeah. You're
- 4:09Speaker 1: talking the entire time on Just the Cats. No, not
- 4:11Speaker 1: the entire time, because you've got to talk. Yeah, but
- 4:14Speaker 1: I mean, you're never muted. I know what you're saying.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Whole show. Thank you. Yeah, you're on the entire show.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So anyway, but it's Wednesday, September 16th. I hope everybody's
- 4:26Speaker 1: having a great day out there. It's nice. You know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we had the nice, cool morning yesterday, and now... Oh,
- 4:31Speaker 1: it's hot. It is hot. It's downright muggy out.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I had pants and a long-sleeve shirt on yesterday, and
- 4:37Speaker 2: by 3 o'clock, I'm outside sweating like crazy. It was
- 4:42Speaker 2: chilly this morning. Now it's just downright hot. And then
- 4:45Speaker 2: this morning, it's back to being hot again. I'm in shorts.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And I don't know. This is the time of year
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's like, okay, do we want it hot? Do we
- 4:53Speaker 2: want it cool? Because are you a fall kind of guy?
- 4:57Speaker 1: I like fall. You do? I mean, obviously, summer's my favorite.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I don't really care to sweat. I'll sweat all day
- 5:03Speaker 1: every day. You and me both. For years on end,
- 5:06Speaker 1: if need be. But there is something nice about the
- 5:09Speaker 1: fall when you get that crispness in the morning. I mean, honestly,
- 5:14Speaker 1: where I enjoy it the most is when I'm doing
- 5:17Speaker 1: high school football games. When it goes from just being
- 5:20Speaker 1: ridiculously hot, I've got to worry about my equipment overheating.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I've got to bring a towel to put over it. What? Oh, yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: When it's real hot, I always bring a towel to
- 5:29Speaker 1: throw over my laptop, throw over our Comrex because I
- 5:32Speaker 1: don't want it to overheat. Interesting. Okay. But in the fall,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't have to do that because it feels great outside.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But with the lower temperatures, let me add, also comes dew.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So you get a lot of moisture. So I have
- 5:45Speaker 1: to deal with, I go from having to deal with
- 5:47Speaker 1: heat to dealing with moisture on my equipment. Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Which I would, I think I would rather probably deal
- 5:52Speaker 1: with the heat. I would too. But it is nice
- 5:54Speaker 1: standing out there and just being 55 degrees and like
- 5:57Speaker 1: a pullover. It's great. Yeah. Well, I, I, you know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I am not a fall kind of guy. I like
- 6:02Speaker 1: one season. My wife likes all four. I like one
- 6:06Speaker 1: that's summer. You can have the rest. I don't care
- 6:09Speaker 1: if it's 90 degrees every single day. That's the way
- 6:12Speaker 1: I like it. Give me your power ranking for seasons.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Let's do that fun activity. Oh, okay. So obviously we
- 6:19Speaker 1: both summer number one. Yeah. What's number two for you?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Probably fall just because that's when my birthday is. Oh,
- 6:26Speaker 1: that's nice. But honestly, if my birthday was not in
- 6:29Speaker 1: the fall, it would be spring. Just because there's something
- 6:31Speaker 1: depressing about fall. Like you realize it's getting colder. Winter's
- 6:35Speaker 1: right around the corner. Days are getting shorter. So realistically,
- 6:38Speaker 1: I'd probably go summer, spring, fall, winter. That's me right there. Okay. Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And if I had my choice, I would go summer, spring, summer, spring.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Forget fall and winter. Just screw them. I said, flip
- 6:50Speaker 2: the bird to them. It's time for them to go away.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So I would never recruit them. They'll never get an
- 6:55Speaker 2: NIL deal from me. Let's just go away. I'm not interested.
- 6:59Speaker 2: You might as well just go to UofL.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Love it. Yeah, there you go.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So that's my power ranking right there. Because I do
- 7:06Speaker 2: enjoy spring. Days are getting longer. Fall I have a
- 7:09Speaker 2: problem with because winter's next and days are getting shorter.
- 7:14Speaker 2: And in the summertime, days are the longest of the year.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I love it. So... Anyway, that's where I am right there.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's talking seasons. The other part. Just the seasons. Just
- 7:24Speaker 1: the seasons. I like that.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Because, you know, the other issue I have, when I'd
- 7:28Speaker 2: like to sit outside in the summertime, I'm having a
- 7:31Speaker 2: problem with my phone overheating.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Really? I cannot sit outside when it's real. It's like yesterday.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I was trying to sit outside, get ready for today,
- 7:41Speaker 2: and my phone, it would get dimmer and dimmer and
- 7:44Speaker 2: dimmer and then say it's overheated.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Interesting. Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, was it in direct sunlight? No,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I was in shade. Really? I am not joking.
- 7:54Speaker 2: There's no exaggeration right there at all.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You might need an upgrade.
- 7:58Speaker 2: See, that's what everybody's telling me. It's like that's when
- 8:00Speaker 2: Apple's trying to tell you it's time to get a
- 8:02Speaker 2: new phone. Yeah, I've had my phone. You know, I've
- 8:06Speaker 2: had my phone almost as long as you have, your
- 8:08Speaker 2: original phone.
- 8:09Speaker 1: 10 years? Not quite 10 years. I'm probably at six
- 8:13Speaker 1: or seven years. I wish I could go back to
- 8:14Speaker 1: my old phone. This new iPhone sucks. I absolutely hate it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I just, I can't get service anywhere. Like I'll pull
- 8:23Speaker 1: up a video. Well, that's not your iPhone. Well, I'll
- 8:24Speaker 1: pull up a video on like. Instagram or something. Right.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And it'll show me like four seconds of it. Then
- 8:32Speaker 1: it pauses, has to buffer. Then it'll show me another
- 8:34Speaker 1: four seconds. And it's like, this is a freaking brand
- 8:37Speaker 1: new iPhone. That shouldn't be happening. Well, you should take
- 8:39Speaker 1: it in. Drives me nuts. I would kill to go
- 8:42Speaker 1: back to my iPhone. Who is your service through?
- 8:45Speaker 3: Verizon.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm about to drop them. Oh, you are? Okay. Maybe
- 8:48Speaker 1: it's the phone.
- 8:49Speaker 2: If it were me, I would take it into Apple
- 8:52Speaker 2: and ask them what's going on. Because I'm getting ready
- 8:54Speaker 2: to get a new phone.
- 8:55Speaker 1: It might be some just, yeah, simple settings or something. Absolutely.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And I bet that's, I'd call them. They do a
- 9:01Speaker 2: nice job as far as their customer service. So I
- 9:05Speaker 2: would definitely find out because I had some issues with
- 9:07Speaker 2: my iPad and boom, they fixed it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Okay. Maybe I'll do that.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I'm looking at getting the new Fold. Why are you
- 9:18Speaker 2: laughing about that? Because I saw the prices of them yesterday.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. It's as much as buying a car.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's ridiculous. Yes. But I'm to the point now I
- 9:29Speaker 1: kind of like that. How would that behoove you?
- 9:33Speaker 2: Because of the fact I think it would help me
- 9:35Speaker 2: on the racing side. I could see a lot more
- 9:37Speaker 2: stuff than I can't see on my phone.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So I could open it up. It's like, okay, now
- 9:41Speaker 1: I have a mini iPad, basically. That's the way I
- 9:45Speaker 1: look at it. But you already have an iPad.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I know, but it would keep me from always constantly
- 9:50Speaker 2: carrying around an iPad.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Okay. So you don't think that's a good idea? I mean,
- 9:54Speaker 1: if that's what you want, then.
- 9:56Speaker 3: It is.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Well, Michael Bennett wants Michael Bennett gifts.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Well, the majority of the time, that is absolutely true
- 10:01Speaker 2: until Patricia Bennett's around.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Then it all goes away. So whatever Patricia Bennett wants,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm just kidding.
- 10:08Speaker 2: By the way, I want to wish my good friend,
- 10:10Speaker 2: who should be listening right now, he's driving to Lexington, Kentucky.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Are you ready for this?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 2: He's driving his own horses. that he is going to
- 10:21Speaker 2: sail at the Keeneland Sail. Is that, so he bred
- 10:26Speaker 2: him himself. This is a guy I've known a good
- 10:29Speaker 2: portion of my life. His name's Mike Snyder. Mike is
- 10:32Speaker 2: just literally, we got off the phone a couple of
- 10:35Speaker 2: minutes ago. He goes, I'm going to be driving to
- 10:36Speaker 2: Lexington and listen to you. You know what the first
- 10:38Speaker 2: thing out of my mouth was?
- 10:39Speaker 3: Why?
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Yeah, exactly.
- 10:42Speaker 2: That should have been the second thing out of my mouth.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But Mike Snyder's.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Driving his own yearlings in his truck and trailer to Lexington.
- 10:50Speaker 2: And I'm like, that's a dream come true for me.
- 10:52Speaker 1: There you go. That's fun.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And I'm wishing him the best right now.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Safe travels. Yeah, exactly.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Safe travels with his horses. I just think that's the
- 10:59Speaker 2: coolest thing. So he's got some homegrowns. He's done it himself.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And sending them over there. Mike, I'm so happy for you.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And I hope you have a big sale and make
- 11:11Speaker 2: a ton of money on your horse. So let me
- 11:13Speaker 2: geek out with horse racing for a minute.
- 11:15Speaker 1: If you got a situation like that, and someone's raising
- 11:17Speaker 1: their own horses and they go to sell them. Yes.
- 11:21Speaker 1: They obviously get all of that back. No.
- 11:23Speaker 3: No?
- 11:24Speaker 2: Where's the rest go? You still have to share it
- 11:28Speaker 2: with Keeneland. You still have to share.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It with- Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah. Wherever hosts
- 11:34Speaker 1: the horse sale- They get a portion of what you make?
- 11:37Speaker 1: That's how Keeneland makes their money. Is it like that
- 11:40Speaker 1: across the board with all tracks? Absolutely.
- 11:42Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what auction and what auction you're selling.
- 11:47Speaker 2: You could be selling a house, a car, anything. The
- 11:51Speaker 2: auction house gets a percentage of the sale price.
- 11:54Speaker 1: What is that percentage? Do you know?
- 11:55Speaker 2: I think it varies. I don't know what Keeneland's is.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I'm sure somebody out there knows, but I have no idea.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Like we talking 10%? I don't know if it's that much. Honestly,
- 12:07Speaker 2: maybe we can look it up in a minute, but
- 12:09Speaker 2: I don't know what the percentage is. Then, on top
- 12:12Speaker 2: of that, the consigner, the person that is in charge
- 12:15Speaker 2: of making sure that horse has been taught how to walk,
- 12:19Speaker 2: how to do all kinds of stuff, because there's a
- 12:21Speaker 2: way that needs to be taught when they're being presented
- 12:24Speaker 2: to all the potential buyers. So there's like a trainer
- 12:28Speaker 2: just for sale. Exactly, but they're called consignors. They get 10%.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. So you're getting probably 85%.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You're probably getting roughly 75 to 85%.
- 12:42Speaker 1: It's what I predict. Yeah. Not bad. Yeah. Oh, absolutely.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's still good money. Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 2: But keep in mind though, you still had to pay
- 12:50Speaker 2: for that consigner outside of that for the training, how to,
- 12:54Speaker 2: how to walk up and down, how to present itself,
- 12:56Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Sure.
- 12:57Speaker 2: But you still had a monthly fee before you get
- 13:01Speaker 2: to the sale.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but, I mean, the nice thing about that is
- 13:04Speaker 1: once they're sold, you don't have to give a bleep
- 13:06Speaker 1: about them, right? Oh, no, you care. I mean, obviously
- 13:09Speaker 1: you will because it's a horse you raise. No, no, no.
- 13:13Speaker 1: You don't have stake in the game anymore, right? You
- 13:16Speaker 1: definitely do.
- 13:17Speaker 2: For instance, Mike Snyder, my buddy, owns another horse called
- 13:21Speaker 2: Sultana or Sultini. I forget which one it is. And
- 13:27Speaker 2: when it wins stakes races, he gets a percentage as breeder.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Even though he sold? Even though he sold it and
- 13:35Speaker 2: does not own the horse anymore.
- 13:36Speaker 1: That's wild. Isn't it, though? So, yeah, it does matter.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Sultana is the horse's name. So there you go.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah, so his farm, Patton's Creek Farm up in Henry County,
- 13:50Speaker 2: and Mike Snyder will get a portion of the winnings
- 13:53Speaker 2: because he was a breeder of that horse.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Well, sounds like breeding is the way to go. You're
- 13:57Speaker 1: going to get in the horse game. It's risky, but
- 14:00Speaker 1: it is a way to go.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Listen.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Uh, Taylor made, I mean, you could get Gaines, uh, Gainesboro.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I mean, you talk to cool more. You talk about
- 14:08Speaker 2: all these farms out there. They're not as big as
- 14:11Speaker 2: they are as, uh, because of, uh, uh, of just
- 14:16Speaker 2: being owned by a wealthy person. They're there because. They've
- 14:19Speaker 2: been very successful. Three Chimneys is another one. Lane's Inn.
- 14:22Speaker 2: They've done well breeding and selling horses. Yeah, it's a
- 14:27Speaker 2: big deal. But I don't want to get into that
- 14:28Speaker 2: right now. We're going to get into some more horse
- 14:30Speaker 2: racing in just a little bit because something happened yesterday.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Uh-oh. At the sale. Yeah. And it was very interesting.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But I think the big news of the day came
- 14:40Speaker 1: out yesterday.
- 14:42Speaker 2: University of Kentucky basketball is saying that Trent Noah– Is
- 14:48Speaker 2: on the injured list right now. He aggravated his hamstring
- 14:52Speaker 2: and will be sidelined the entire preseason and potentially some
- 14:57Speaker 2: early exhibition games.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Is that really that big of a deal? Well, I mean, yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I think that's a fair question. I know we had
- 15:05Speaker 1: expectations for Trent Noah last year, but after the way
- 15:08Speaker 1: last year went, this doesn't seem like all that big
- 15:11Speaker 1: of a deal. Well, but it's another injury. I mean,
- 15:15Speaker 1: it's now the third year in a row. Well, we
- 15:17Speaker 1: can't harp on every single injury. I agree. I agree.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Like next thing you know, we're going to be Walker
- 15:22Speaker 1: Horn twisted his ankle. Yeah. What? Well, you got the
- 15:26Speaker 1: mom Chilovich hurting his index finger.
- 15:29Speaker 2: That's not a big deal. it's not, but it potentially
- 15:32Speaker 2: could become even worse. But anyway, I, I, here's the
- 15:36Speaker 2: question I have for you though. So he's going to
- 15:38Speaker 2: miss some, the entire preseason and potentially some exhibition games.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Do you think it extends into the season?
- 15:46Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it could hamstrings or they're, they're
- 15:49Speaker 1: pretty tricky to figure out. I mean, and you got
- 15:52Speaker 1: to make sure it's completely healed before you get back
- 15:54Speaker 1: out there as to not re aggravated. But I mean,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I'm going to keep the same mindset. I don't, think
- 16:00Speaker 1: it matters that much you don't think so okay i
- 16:04Speaker 1: hope you're right well i know you're wrong you hope
- 16:07Speaker 1: you're wrong exactly i hope he's out there playing i
- 16:10Speaker 1: i was i wasn't thinking the way you were saying
- 16:12Speaker 1: it look i'm not i'm not i i hear you
- 16:14Speaker 1: because i part of me kind of agrees with you
- 16:17Speaker 1: because i don't see him uh getting much rotation onto
- 16:22Speaker 1: the court at least at the end of the season
- 16:26Speaker 1: I mean, maybe seven, eight minutes a game. Maybe. And
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm not– let me put it out there that I'm
- 16:31Speaker 1: not rooting against the kid at all. Not at all.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I like Trent Noah a lot. I hope that he
- 16:35Speaker 1: becomes a great player, the player that Mark Pope envisioned
- 16:39Speaker 1: him to be when he brought him in. You're just
- 16:40Speaker 1: being realistic. Exactly, yeah.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And the realistic side of you and I, because you
- 16:47Speaker 2: and I agree with this. It's like, okay, I don't
- 16:50Speaker 2: know if he's going to get many minutes. And by
- 16:52Speaker 2: the end of the season, I don't know if he
- 16:54Speaker 2: might get any minutes unless somebody's in some serious foul trouble.
- 16:57Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I'm disappointed because it would be nice to see him
- 17:03Speaker 2: playing preseason, some exhibition games, and see how he has improved.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Just sets him back a little. And I think this
- 17:09Speaker 1: makes it even harder for Trent Noah. I mean, hasn't
- 17:13Speaker 1: he been– wasn't he sidelined when they– what did they
- 17:16Speaker 1: do recently? Was it their games in Vegas? Like, he
- 17:21Speaker 1: was– he's missed some time already. That's what it was, yeah. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and that really hurts.
- 17:27Speaker 2: When you're missing this much as far as basketball and
- 17:30Speaker 2: you're at this level of basketball, any time you miss
- 17:32Speaker 2: any time makes a big difference.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I really do.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And so I hope that changes. I hope he gets better.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I hope he heals quicker. And I hope he does
- 17:43Speaker 2: improve and get out there and can be productive.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm rooting for Trent Noah. What is the, they were
- 17:50Speaker 1: calling him the something mamba. Mountain Mamba. Mountain Mamba. That's it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: And I love that nickname.
- 17:55Speaker 2: That's an appropriate, perfect nickname for Trent Noah.
- 17:59Speaker 1: The Mountain Mamba. Yeah. And I just, I'm rooting for him.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So I know you are too. Yeah. I've always liked him. Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 2: We both have. I mean, it was fun watching him
- 18:10Speaker 2: in the very beginning. Between him and Perry. But Perry
- 18:13Speaker 2: just didn't span out to be the player we thought
- 18:15Speaker 2: he was going to be.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And he goes back down to Ole Miss. I mean,
- 18:17Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun last summer, too, talking
- 18:19Speaker 1: about him shooting 80% from three. Yes, it was. Drenos
- 18:24Speaker 1: provided some great moments for us on Just the Cats.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So was Mark Pope, for that fact. But anyway, I'm
- 18:33Speaker 1: not going to make fun of them. I'm not going
- 18:35Speaker 1: to the media madness thing. Oh, you're not? No. That's tomorrow, right? Yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Will there be video from that? I don't know. They
- 18:43Speaker 1: supposedly sent me an email. I didn't get it. I
- 18:47Speaker 1: asked them.
- 18:47Speaker 2: It took them four days to respond to me. It's like, well,
- 18:50Speaker 2: it's a little too late. It's like, well, why didn't
- 18:52Speaker 2: you respond to me earlier? I would have gone there
- 18:55Speaker 2: out of shape and everything and looked like a ridiculous
- 18:57Speaker 2: idiot out there. But no, UK didn't want to respond
- 19:01Speaker 2: to me. I really hope they put out video.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Do you really? I'd love to see Steven Peake just
- 19:06Speaker 1: tearing it up. Is he a pretty good athlete? Yeah. Oh,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you talk about a kid that can shoot. He can shoot.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Can he really? Oh, yeah.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You're not going to see me shoot. I'm a great
- 19:16Speaker 2: shot as well. They lost out on me. So you
- 19:19Speaker 2: know what? The rest of the year, I'm not even
- 19:20Speaker 2: going to talk about basketball because I'm ticked off that
- 19:22Speaker 2: there are little people over there that don't want to
- 19:24Speaker 2: send me an email.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Grow up.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Don't even respond to it. That's the one thing that
- 19:29Speaker 2: irritates me is when you send an email to somebody,
- 19:32Speaker 2: what's the proper amount of time to give them before
- 19:34Speaker 2: you email them back? I re-email them again and say, hey, dude,
- 19:37Speaker 2: are you going to answer me?
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'll give it about, so for instance, I reached out
- 19:41Speaker 1: to Jeffersonville's AD on Monday telling him that I'd be- Well,
- 19:44Speaker 1: let's not call him out now. No, I'm not calling
- 19:46Speaker 1: him out, but I reached out on Monday telling him
- 19:49Speaker 1: that I'd be there for the game on Friday. Right.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And I have yet to hear back. So if I
- 19:53Speaker 1: don't hear anything today, I'll reach back out again. See,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I think that's- Oh, so Monday. So two days ago. Yeah.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I'll usually give it two days.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Because I feel like 48 hours is enough time. And
- 20:05Speaker 2: every time I email UK basketball- They don't respond at all.
- 20:10Speaker 2: And it's like it takes me two or three more
- 20:12Speaker 2: emails to get a response back. It's like, dude, can
- 20:14Speaker 2: you not respond? Yeah, that's a little frustrating.
- 20:17Speaker 1: That is frustrating.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I think it's and I've gotten to a point now.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It's like, OK, I responded back. I wish I had
- 20:23Speaker 2: a job where I didn't have to email anybody. Does
- 20:27Speaker 2: that mean maybe a little? It's the truth, though. I
- 20:31Speaker 2: get frustrated by people that just they can't respond to
- 20:34Speaker 2: a text, a phone call or an email. It's like, dude,
- 20:37Speaker 2: be a little proper about this. So anyway, yeah, I'm
- 20:40Speaker 2: probably not on their good list. And at this point,
- 20:43Speaker 2: I really don't care. So I'm going to call them
- 20:46Speaker 2: out if they won't respond to me. But all right,
- 20:48Speaker 2: we got to take our first break. When we come back,
- 20:51Speaker 2: I do want to talk about some of the potential
- 20:55Speaker 2: players that might be playing this weekend versus Texas A
- 20:59Speaker 2: & M, which I think is a good thing.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Will it help? I don't know, but I'm going to
- 21:03Speaker 1: stay positive.
- 21:05Speaker 2: As well as, my goodness, it only took three months,
- 21:08Speaker 2: but we're going to celebrate a football team here in
- 21:11Speaker 2: town only three months later.
- 21:14Speaker 1: We'll talk about that as well. Is that today? Yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: that's today.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Plus, Lane Kiffin keeps something in his desk I found
- 21:21Speaker 2: very interesting.
- 21:22Speaker 1: We were just talking about it the other day. Stay
- 21:25Speaker 1: right there. A lot more of Just the Cats coming
- 21:27Speaker 1: right up. Clean up your.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Looks with all the lies in the books to make
- 21:51Speaker 3: a citizen.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Out of you.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Because they sleep with a gun and keep an eye
- 21:59Speaker 3: on you, son, so they can watch all the things
- 22:02Speaker 3: you do. Because the drugs never work, they're gonna give
- 22:07Speaker 3: you a smirk, cause they got methods of keeping you clean.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I like this. All right, you guys tell me who
- 22:16Speaker 1: this is. My Chemical Romance. Say it again. My Chemical Romance.
- 22:31Speaker 2: My Chemical Romance. I like that song. What's the name
- 22:34Speaker 2: of that song right there?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Teenagers. That is a good song. That's a great song.
- 22:38Speaker 1: So is this a song you already knew? I did
- 22:40Speaker 1: know this one. Oh, you did? Okay.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I happen to know My Chemical Romance. See, I've heard
- 22:46Speaker 2: of them. I just could not tell you a single
- 22:48Speaker 2: song by them. But that is something I will go
- 22:52Speaker 2: back and listen to again.
- 22:53Speaker 1: They are the headliner on Friday. Oh, they are? Yep. Okay.
- 22:58Speaker 1: That's interesting. All right. So, guys, UK football got some
- 23:02Speaker 1: good news yesterday as Will Stein released that cornerback Turkian
- 23:09Speaker 1: Nichols is expected to play his first game this weekend.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Isn't it Tarion? Tarion. I'm sorry. Yeah. Tarion. I can't.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Whatever it is. I can't even read my own handwriting.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Tarion Nichols, thank you, is expected to play his first
- 23:22Speaker 2: game this weekend at A & M. So first two seasons,
- 23:26Speaker 2: as if you don't remember, Nichols has been responsible for
- 23:30Speaker 2: 10 pass breaks, 28 tackles, one for a loss. This
- 23:34Speaker 2: is hopefully will be a big help to the defense
- 23:37Speaker 2: because UK needs it. And so I'm happy about that.
- 23:43Speaker 2: And the other part is CJ Baxter. Did you hear
- 23:47Speaker 2: about this?
- 23:48Speaker 1: No.
- 23:49Speaker 2: UK's running back. Will Stein was talking about it, that
- 23:53Speaker 2: his CJ Baxter's finger popped out several times during the
- 24:00Speaker 2: Alabama game. And he will be playing. Can you imagine
- 24:05Speaker 2: your finger popping out? Not just once, but a few
- 24:09Speaker 2: more times. And he's your running back and he's trying
- 24:11Speaker 2: to carry a ball. That was amazing to me to,
- 24:15Speaker 2: to hear that. I mean, if you, if you get
- 24:17Speaker 2: it popped back into place, that's, No big deal, right?
- 24:21Speaker 1: Is it not? Doesn't it hurt, though? I've never had
- 24:23Speaker 1: a finger pop out, so I've had my shoulder pop out.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure if you're a football player, everything hurts.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Probably so. But you learn to play through it. Oh, absolutely.
- 24:34Speaker 2: If you're a big-time player, you absolutely learn to play
- 24:37Speaker 2: through it. And I don't know how they do it,
- 24:39Speaker 2: but they just have a different mindset and probably a
- 24:43Speaker 2: different mentality when it comes to pain.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Don't you think? Absolutely. They just don't feel it. Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Like when I fell a couple of weeks ago, when
- 24:54Speaker 2: I was walking on the street, I didn't feel it.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I didn't. Because you're a football player. No, I'm not
- 25:00Speaker 1: a football player. No, I'm not. Are you kidding? But, no.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I bet you could have been. You think so? Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I bet you'd have been a good little lineman. That's
- 25:10Speaker 1: the one, a good little lineman. I always wanted to
- 25:13Speaker 1: be a tight end.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Okay. If I was a football player, I don't know. 6'2,
- 25:17Speaker 2: is that tall enough to be a tight end?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Why not? It is? Okay. It seems like tight
- 25:22Speaker 1: ends are always 6'5 and bigger. 6'5 to 6'8.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yeah. And I just always wanted to catch the ball.
- 25:30Speaker 1: That's the part I love the most. You wouldn't have
- 25:32Speaker 1: played for Kentucky then? No, I wouldn't have. Well, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: don't know. Back then, that would have been Jerry Claiborne
- 25:38Speaker 1: who had horrible teams. Did he use tight ends? Oh,
- 25:42Speaker 1: that's the other thing. Yeah. Probably not. I would have
- 25:45Speaker 1: been a lineman. You're right. Oh, well. So there goes
- 25:48Speaker 1: that career. But listen, this is going to be a
- 25:54Speaker 1: tough game. Every little bit counts. And the fact that
- 25:58Speaker 1: they're getting nickels and C.J. Baxter is not going to
- 26:01Speaker 1: be an issue. And supposedly a couple other players out there.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I'm hoping that helps. Somehow, some way. Like in a
- 26:12Speaker 1: game that. It's obviously going to be very tough. You
- 26:15Speaker 1: ideally want to be at full strength. So, I mean,
- 26:18Speaker 1: it all seems like good news. It all seems like it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: But it doesn't necessarily make the game easier.
- 26:24Speaker 2: No.
- 26:25Speaker 1: If anything, it makes the game even harder.
- 26:28Speaker 2: By the way, I don't know if you saw this.
- 26:30Speaker 2: UK versus Alabama last weekend was the third most watched game.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I did see that. Yeah. 7.3 million viewers. Obviously... the
- 26:41Speaker 1: number one game was Texas-Ohio State. They had 13 million,
- 26:45Speaker 1: just under 14 million. That's surprising it wasn't more. Really?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it was 13.99. So 14 million is what you
- 26:53Speaker 2: could call it. And then Michigan-Oklahoma was number two with
- 26:56Speaker 2: 8 million. I mean, that's a big gap right there.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Do you think LSU-Ole Miss gets more viewers than Texas-Ohio
- 27:03Speaker 1: State this weekend?
- 27:04Speaker 3: Oh, 1,000%.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I would say so.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's probably not even going to be close.
- 27:09Speaker 2: It's going to be double, if not triple, the amount
- 27:11Speaker 2: of view. Well, that's probably an exaggeration right there. But
- 27:14Speaker 2: I bet you it's close to double the amount of
- 27:15Speaker 2: viewers that watch it. They'll probably pull 20, 21. I
- 27:18Speaker 2: had to guess.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 2: At its height, it will be a bunch. Which will
- 27:23Speaker 2: be a... I'm telling you. I know UK's playing Texas
- 27:27Speaker 2: A & M. That's my number one game. But I'm
- 27:30Speaker 2: telling you right now. I want to watch. I want
- 27:33Speaker 2: to watch every second of that LSU Ole Miss game.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Same.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And game day is going down there to Ole Miss too,
- 27:42Speaker 1: aren't they? I haven't heard that, but I would assume.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I don't remember what it was.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I'm almost certain it is because they were going to
- 27:49Speaker 2: all SEC teams the first three weeks of the season.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be in Oxford. That's going to be fun. Yeah,
- 27:56Speaker 1: Oxford is just the greatest place to go see a game.
- 27:59Speaker 1: But anyway, all right, let's get to the Whiskey Thief
- 28:03Speaker 1: text line, 502-414-1450.
- 28:04Speaker 2: You want to text in. Uh, 48 handily. He said
- 28:10Speaker 2: to every time there is a season, Solomon wrote that
- 28:14Speaker 2: the birds borrowed the, those scriptures to pin their 60
- 28:20Speaker 2: hit turn, turn, turn. I have no idea what he's
- 28:25Speaker 2: trying to say.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I don't either. Yeah. I know the birds had a
- 28:29Speaker 1: song called turn, turn, turn. It's, it's, yeah, it's an
- 28:33Speaker 1: old song, but, uh, to every time there is a season,
- 28:36Speaker 1: solomon wrote that so the birds borrowed those scriptures okay
- 28:41Speaker 1: so it's from the bible i didn't realize that solomon
- 28:44Speaker 1: wrote uh the birds borrowed these scriptures to pin their
- 28:48Speaker 1: 60s hit turn turn turn or the birds i don't
- 28:51Speaker 1: know okay we'll get it uh never mind but i
- 28:55Speaker 1: know the song turn turn turn i just don't know
- 28:57Speaker 1: what you're trying to say you've got more you've got
- 28:58Speaker 1: a leg up on me do i really Listen, given
- 29:01Speaker 1: recent history, let's not remind the station scoots is back. Look,
- 29:06Speaker 1: KRC hardly has the people on their intro on the show.
- 29:10Speaker 1: So it's all good. Well, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 29:15Speaker 2: So Kentucky roll call. Do they still announce that Nick
- 29:21Speaker 2: Roush and TJ Walker's on there?
- 29:24Speaker 1: No, it does say TJ Walker and Steven Peake. Oh,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it does. Okay, so at least it says that. But T.J.
- 29:30Speaker 1: 's only on two days a week. And when did
- 29:32Speaker 1: he start doing two days a week again? Was it
- 29:35Speaker 1: last week, I want to say?
- 29:36Speaker 2: Oh, so for months it went on with T.J. Walker
- 29:40Speaker 2: not even being TJ Walker on Kentucky Roll Call.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Correct. Wow. Okay. All right, then. If I was their producer,
- 29:47Speaker 1: I'd have fixed it, but I'm not. Really? It's up
- 29:50Speaker 1: to the big guy to make it happen. One person said,
- 29:54Speaker 1: Trey Ryan here, on the way to Keeneland myself. Hey, Trey.
- 29:57Speaker 2: First ever yearling sale for me, and I'm going on
- 30:00Speaker 2: a field trip looking forward to it. Good luck to
- 30:02Speaker 2: your buddy selling.
- 30:04Speaker 1: So, apparently, Trey is... Big time horse guy. Oh, is
- 30:08Speaker 1: he really? I was talking to Dugan last week about
- 30:10Speaker 1: him and he, yeah, he's like full throttle wants to
- 30:13Speaker 1: be in the horse racing game. Does he really? Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 1: All right.
- 30:15Speaker 2: So maybe you could take him under your wing. Trey Ryan.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Why don't you, why don't you DM me on social media?
- 30:22Speaker 2: And I'll be glad to talk to you. So, uh,
- 30:25Speaker 2: that's a congratulations. I hope you get into the business.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I hope you fall in love with it. Like I have. Oh,
- 30:30Speaker 2: he's already in love with it. And make it a, well,
- 30:32Speaker 2: for me, it's a third career. I mean, every time
- 30:34Speaker 2: I turn around, I get another career, maybe fourth career,
- 30:37Speaker 2: but I, I, I have fun building businesses. That's probably
- 30:41Speaker 2: the thing I'm, I enjoy the most. And this is, uh,
- 30:45Speaker 2: let me think. This is a one, two, three, I
- 30:47Speaker 2: don't know, fourth or fifth business I built. And, uh,
- 30:51Speaker 2: I do knock on wood. I do okay at it. So, uh,
- 30:54Speaker 2: but yeah, Trey, uh, good for you and good luck
- 30:57Speaker 2: to my buddy, Mike Snyder. That's headed over there to
- 31:00Speaker 2: let me know how you feel. I got all the books.
- 31:02Speaker 2: I'm glad I got my book too, right here, uh,
- 31:05Speaker 2: on the desk here. I'll show everybody if you're listening to, uh, yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 2: there's my book and you can see, I go through
- 31:11Speaker 2: this thing like crazy, but, uh, with all the yearlings
- 31:14Speaker 2: there at the sale. So book two starts today, 11 o'clock.
- 31:18Speaker 2: The last two days, book one, you know, those are
- 31:20Speaker 2: all the best horses because you got, it starts at
- 31:27Speaker 2: one o'clock those two days in the most expensive horses
- 31:29Speaker 2: of what they think. But anyway, so good luck, Trey.
- 31:34Speaker 1: John here again. Well, wait, did I miss something? No. Yep.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I want to get my auctioneer license to go along
- 31:44Speaker 2: with my real estate license.
- 31:46Speaker 1: John just wants to take over the world. I love it. Yeah,
- 31:49Speaker 1: he does.
- 31:50Speaker 2: And, you know, he still puts Minchie up there with
- 31:52Speaker 2: Joe Montana. And I'll never forget that. And Patrick Mahomes.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Fun times to make some money for sure. Also, people
- 31:59Speaker 1: listen to you, Michael.
- 32:01Speaker 2: And this show, because it is a good show, you
- 32:04Speaker 2: and Justin make a great team and do great. Also,
- 32:08Speaker 2: on hump day, I just want to say the football
- 32:11Speaker 2: cats will win by three big ones this Saturday. See,
- 32:15Speaker 2: that's the part I love the most about John right there.
- 32:18Speaker 2: John is the most optimistic UK fan.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. I might take that back
- 32:25Speaker 1: a little. J.D.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Shelburne is right there too. Between he and J.D. and John,
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm not sure who is more optimistic. I would say John.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Would you really?
- 32:40Speaker 2: More than J.D.? You should hear J.D. on these calls
- 32:44Speaker 2: he calls me. I mean, it's just unbelievable.
- 32:47Speaker 1: We're going to do, we're, we're, we're. It's like, oh
- 32:49Speaker 1: my God. I wonder what his score prediction is for Saturday. Ooh,
- 32:52Speaker 1: that's a good one. I don't know. That would be telling. Now,
- 32:55Speaker 1: if J.D. came back and was like, I got the
- 32:57Speaker 1: cats by seven, then he would win round one of
- 33:01Speaker 1: most positive cat fans. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. But, yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: we'll talk about our predictions on Friday. So you got
- 33:09Speaker 1: to stay right there, John, a couple more days. But
- 33:12Speaker 1: I appreciate the nice compliment. I mean, I never know
- 33:15Speaker 1: how this show is received or not. We never get numbers.
- 33:18Speaker 1: The station doesn't do anything about that. I just know
- 33:21Speaker 1: you were telling me yesterday. Because I was a little,
- 33:23Speaker 1: it's like, okay, I'm hard on myself. Am I doing
- 33:27Speaker 1: a good job? And you said, Michael, are you having fun?
- 33:30Speaker 1: And I said, yes. You go, that's all that matters.
- 33:32Speaker 1: That's what it's all about. That's why we do this. Exactly.
- 33:35Speaker 2: So the day I don't have fun, I might be
- 33:37Speaker 2: done then at that point. But anyway, I do want
- 33:41Speaker 2: to talk about this when we come back. Lane Kiffin,
- 33:45Speaker 2: there was an article wrote about him and he had
- 33:47Speaker 2: something the interviewer asked about, which I thought, wow, way
- 33:51Speaker 2: to go completely off topic. And it became the best
- 33:54Speaker 2: part of the post. And we'll talk about that. And
- 33:56Speaker 2: then there was drama at Keeneland yesterday, and I'm so
- 34:00Speaker 2: sorry I wasn't there to see it. So stay right there.
- 34:03Speaker 2: More of Just the Cats coming right up.
- 34:17Speaker 1: The boys and girls in the clique. What are you doing?
- 34:56Speaker 1: There was a cuss word.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Oh, you did?
- 34:57Speaker 1: Okay. I caught it. Oh, you did?
- 34:58Speaker 3: Oh, shoot.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Come on. Let's hear the cuss word. Like we've never
- 35:02Speaker 1: heard cuss words before. I love this song. See, that's
- 35:21Speaker 1: the best part right there. That beat right there with
- 35:24Speaker 1: the guitar in the background. I've never understood why the
- 35:27Speaker 1: lead guitarist for Limp Bizkit, why does he wear the mask?
- 35:30Speaker 1: Do you know? Maybe he just doesn't want people to
- 35:33Speaker 1: know what he looks like. Evidently, he doesn't. If somebody
- 35:35Speaker 1: out there knows why, if you're a big Limp Bizkit,
- 35:41Speaker 1: it does bother me how they spell that. Bizkit. Yeah.
- 35:47Speaker 2: I just want to say Bizkit and not Bizkit. But anyway,
- 35:51Speaker 2: if anybody knows out there why he wears a mask
- 35:55Speaker 2: on stage, I'd love to know why. I've never looked
- 35:57Speaker 2: it up or anything like that, but I would appreciate that.
- 36:01Speaker 1: 502-414-1450. You want to text me on the Whiskey Thief
- 36:04Speaker 1: text line. All right.
- 36:04Speaker 2: You remember we were talking about Lane Kiffin just the
- 36:09Speaker 2: other day and the golf ball that the Tennessee fan threw? Yep.
- 36:14Speaker 2: All right, there was an article that was posted in
- 36:16Speaker 2: USA Today yesterday. And the interviewer was asking, he's like, yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 2: it's getting kind of boring interview. And I was asked
- 36:23Speaker 2: by the NIL. Then I came out with a random
- 36:26Speaker 2: question that I never knew it would go this way.
- 36:30Speaker 2: He goes, I asked about the golf ball. And the
- 36:34Speaker 2: interviewer said Lane Kiffin opened the drawer to his desk
- 36:39Speaker 2: and pulled it out. And he goes, now I am
- 36:42Speaker 2: holding to me what is something that's iconic. Because it's
- 36:46Speaker 2: a golf ball that was thrown. Do you realize this
- 36:48Speaker 2: was now five years ago?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Dang.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Yeah, 2021 is when that happened. And I just like,
- 36:57Speaker 2: that's pretty cool. I mean, that's something I remember. And
- 37:00Speaker 2: I'll remember that for a long time. He said he
- 37:02Speaker 2: relished it. Lane Kiffin did. and reveled in the thought
- 37:07Speaker 2: that University of Tennessee UT fans trashed their own stadium
- 37:13Speaker 2: after Ole Miss beat the Vols in 2021. He loves
- 37:17Speaker 2: that he lives rent-free in their heads.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Isn't that funny?
- 37:23Speaker 2: So this whole fact of him going to Ole Miss
- 37:28Speaker 2: this weekend as now the LSU coach, he's excited about it.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 2: And he's, you know, this is a big game. This
- 37:37Speaker 2: has to be the game he probably wants to win
- 37:41Speaker 2: the most in the regular season. Is that fair to say?
- 37:44Speaker 2: I would say I'm not knowing the rest of their schedule.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I would have to assume so. But then again, the.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Coaching staff that he's going to go against is guys
- 37:56Speaker 1: that he is comfortable with and coached over the years. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 38:01Speaker 2: All right, so the rest of the season, they got
- 38:03Speaker 2: Ole Miss this weekend. Texas A & M is next.
- 38:07Speaker 2: McNeese State, who cares? Kentucky, October 10th, two days after
- 38:12Speaker 2: my birthday, in Lexington. Then they got Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee,
- 38:22Speaker 2: and Arkansas. So they're playing at Tennessee again this year.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I think they won't do anything to them this time.
- 38:29Speaker 1: If Texas is still number one at that point and undefeated,
- 38:33Speaker 1: Texas would probably be a game he wants to win
- 38:36Speaker 1: more than Ole Miss. Oh, you really think so? I do.
- 38:39Speaker 2: If it's between his old team and playing Texas, and
- 38:44Speaker 2: now the Texas game is going to be in Baton Rouge,
- 38:46Speaker 2: so it's going to be a home game for LSU.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Man, I don't know.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Because part of me wants to say you're absolutely correct,
- 38:54Speaker 2: especially if they're number one. That's probably the game he
- 38:59Speaker 2: has circled more than anything else out there. I know
- 39:01Speaker 2: I got to win this game to be able to
- 39:03Speaker 2: get to make the playoffs. But, man, I don't know.
- 39:09Speaker 2: What if Texas is not number one? What if they're
- 39:12Speaker 2: like four or five? Then it probably would be the
- 39:15Speaker 2: Ole Miss game. So you think the only reason he
- 39:19Speaker 2: would want to play and beat Texas more than Ole
- 39:22Speaker 2: Miss is just only if they're number one?
- 39:26Speaker 1: Yeah. See, I think so too. Yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 2: If they're not number one, I think it's the other.
- 39:30Speaker 2: old miss game i just listen i have looked forward
- 39:33Speaker 2: to this game since the end of last season because
- 39:36Speaker 2: i knew this was gonna everybody was talking about it
- 39:39Speaker 2: i thought it would be a lot of fun to
- 39:41Speaker 2: do this but uh anyway uh by the way Have
- 39:47Speaker 2: you seen– there's been a few people that have been
- 39:49Speaker 2: writing about this. The crazy things that recruits are now
- 39:54Speaker 2: asking for in the NIL.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Let's hear it. Are you sure you want to hear it?
- 40:01Speaker 1: I mean, should I not want to? This is just unbelievable.
- 40:05Speaker 1: You make it seem disturbing. I don't think it would
- 40:07Speaker 1: be anything disturbing. It just seems over the top is
- 40:10Speaker 1: probably what I would say. I mean– NIL is already
- 40:15Speaker 1: over the top. It is. I don't think anything at
- 40:17Speaker 1: this juncture would surprise me. The number one thing that
- 40:21Speaker 1: most athletes are requesting, Rolex watches. Okay. What are we doing?
- 40:29Speaker 3: Why?
- 40:29Speaker 1: It doesn't end there. Who wears a watch anymore when
- 40:33Speaker 1: everybody has a cell phone with a time on it?
- 40:35Speaker 1: I wear a watch every day. You do. I know. Yeah.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I love a watch. Should have thought about that before
- 40:39Speaker 1: I said it. Yeah. So there you go, dumb head.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Luxury vehicle leases. That I understand. They're asking for Lamborghinis, Bentleys,
- 40:51Speaker 1: Aston Martins. Yeah. It's like, seriously? That's what we need?
- 40:55Speaker 1: You got one of those cars you can get any
- 40:57Speaker 1: girl you want on campus. Yeah, but I'm scared some
- 41:00Speaker 1: yo-ha is going to be out there, Yahoo, and all
- 41:03Speaker 1: of a sudden hits my car as they park next
- 41:06Speaker 1: to mine in some tight spot on campus. I don't know.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Would you ever want a car that expensive? I mean,
- 41:13Speaker 1: if you could afford it, if I just had millions
- 41:16Speaker 1: and millions of dollars. Sure. Yeah. No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't. Sorry.
- 41:20Speaker 1: It could be a lot of fun to drive them now.
- 41:22Speaker 2: It would be fun to drive them, but I would
- 41:24Speaker 2: be petrified to drive the thing because somebody else is
- 41:26Speaker 2: going to hit me or I'm not going to be
- 41:27Speaker 2: paid attention.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm going to hit somebody. Well, that's why you have insurance.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:31Speaker 1: But then you got a damaged whatever it is. I
- 41:34Speaker 1: don't know. Or you get a nice little check from
- 41:36Speaker 1: insurance and get a new one.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Of course, seven-figure paydays is no big deal anymore, I think.
- 41:44Speaker 2: The other part is they want homes off campus. That's
- 41:50Speaker 2: the other part. Or they want custom home additions at
- 41:55Speaker 2: their home off campus. For instance, they want a full-size sauna.
- 42:01Speaker 2: They want a jacuzzi. They want a pool. I mean,
- 42:06Speaker 2: this is ridiculous.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I mean, if it's something that helps with recovery, like
- 42:10Speaker 1: a sauna or a hot tub, I don't mind that. Okay.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Well, do you think it's okay that they want a
- 42:15Speaker 2: custom home? I mean, that they probably shouldn't. They want
- 42:19Speaker 2: all their family to be able to travel to and
- 42:22Speaker 2: from the games for free. They want all the tickets
- 42:26Speaker 2: I get, and then I think this is one we
- 42:29Speaker 2: always knew, is that they want to be guaranteed they're
- 42:32Speaker 2: going to play. They want bonuses.
- 42:37Speaker 1: And then they want private jet travel for their families. Okay,
- 42:40Speaker 1: that's a little over the top. Yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Families have asked for private chartered flights for entire seasons
- 42:47Speaker 2: or weekly cross-country flights to get family members to games.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Isn't that ridiculous?
- 42:54Speaker 1: That is. I mean, if you're getting... Let's just say
- 42:58Speaker 1: you're getting 1.5 million. You can easily cover... All your
- 43:03Speaker 1: families travel for the season to get them to games. Oh, absolutely.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Then you're going to be out of money if you're
- 43:09Speaker 2: spending it on private jets. Don't you know what a
- 43:10Speaker 2: private jet costs?
- 43:11Speaker 1: Well, I'm not suggesting flying on a private jet, but
- 43:15Speaker 1: buy them plane tickets with a normal airline. I saw this,
- 43:18Speaker 1: and I thought, this is absolutely ludicrous.
- 43:21Speaker 2: And it's got to stop. And it's not just the players.
- 43:25Speaker 2: It's these agents.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I mean, nothing surprises me anymore. Who do we blame more?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Do we blame the players, or do we blame the agents? Agents.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Or do you blame the schools for paying it? Agents.
- 43:34Speaker 1: It's the agent 100%? Yeah. I don't know. To me.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Maybe not 100.
- 43:40Speaker 2: I still put a lot of blame on the athletes.
- 43:42Speaker 2: And then you got to put some of the blame
- 43:44Speaker 2: on these schools that are saying they'll do it. So
- 43:46Speaker 2: at some point, the schools have to say no. And
- 43:51Speaker 2: I worry the schools don't say no enough. And I'm thinking, okay,
- 43:55Speaker 2: is this a school? Are they actually coming for these
- 43:58Speaker 2: athletes coming for education or Or they just, education's been
- 44:02Speaker 2: thrown out the door.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Oh, education's gone. Nobody cares. Isn't that sad? That nobody
- 44:09Speaker 1: cares about a free education they're getting? Go get the
- 44:12Speaker 1: money I can now, and then hopefully I can parlay
- 44:14Speaker 1: that into a professional career, and why would I ever
- 44:17Speaker 1: need a degree?
- 44:18Speaker 2: And then they're out of money in 10 years, and
- 44:20Speaker 2: guess what? Where do you go from there?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Unless they get a good financial advisor.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Which they should all have. Well, and that's the other part.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Do they have good financial advisors? So, yeah, there is
- 44:31Speaker 2: a lady based in Atlanta that is doing that, I've
- 44:36Speaker 2: heard about. I read about her, and she's got like
- 44:41Speaker 2: several billion dollars where she's helping NFL players seek out financial.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Help. You should get Patricio. Ooh, that would be a
- 44:51Speaker 1: good idea. Career flip. So you could still do the
- 44:54Speaker 1: same thing you're doing now, but let's cater towards these
- 44:57Speaker 1: college athletes that don't really know how to manage money.
- 45:00Speaker 2: And that's the sad part. I feel like the schools...
- 45:03Speaker 2: should be encouraging and helping these players. Listen, here are
- 45:08Speaker 2: the steps you need to do to make sure you're
- 45:10Speaker 2: taking care of your money. Just don't go out there
- 45:12Speaker 2: and spend it.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I mean, I do think that has gotten a lot
- 45:15Speaker 1: better at the high school level. Okay. But I don't
- 45:18Speaker 1: know about college. I don't know either.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I put a little of this on the athletic departments
- 45:24Speaker 2: and the teams. to get out there and make sure
- 45:27Speaker 2: these guys are not going out there frivolously spending all
- 45:30Speaker 2: their money.
- 45:30Speaker 1: But anyway, all right, we've got to take another break.
- 45:32Speaker 1: When we come back, UofL signed a multi-year brand deal yesterday,
- 45:38Speaker 1: and it's with an interesting company.
- 45:40Speaker 2: We'll talk about that. Stay right there. More of Just
- 45:41Speaker 2: the Cats in the next hour coming right up.
- 45:44Speaker 1: It's all the fun I've ever seen lately Like you
- 45:46Speaker 1: want it, baby Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Just sounds like a robot to me. I'm glad you
- 46:11Speaker 2: like it. 502-384-1450 if you want to call in. 502-414-1450
- 46:16Speaker 2: on the Whiskey Thief text line if you want to
- 46:19Speaker 2: text us on that. And I'll get to those in
- 46:21Speaker 2: just a couple of minutes. But I do want to
- 46:24Speaker 2: talk about this for a.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Second before I talk about the other topic I brought
- 46:28Speaker 1: up before this. We went on our hour break. Well,
- 46:33Speaker 1: it wasn't an hour for us, but I mean, changing
- 46:35Speaker 1: the two hours. That'd be cool. Yeah. Wouldn't that be nice?
- 46:38Speaker 1: We take an hour, just kind of go regroup, come
- 46:40Speaker 1: back for another hour. That'd be great. Would it really?
- 46:43Speaker 1: What would we do during that hour? Go grab some breakfast. Oh,
- 46:47Speaker 1: I like that. Maybe hit up one of the local
- 46:49Speaker 1: breakfast establishments. Would we have time for that?
- 46:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Really? Oh, yeah. I used to have hour breaks all
- 46:55Speaker 1: the time. Really?
- 46:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And what would be on the radio during hour break?
- 46:59Speaker 1: Just nothing? National. Oh, nobody listens to that national stuff.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Some people enjoy it. Really? Yeah. Okay, good. It's okay.
- 47:06Speaker 1: You ever tune in for it? No, I've never tuned
- 47:08Speaker 1: in for it. It's all right. Okay.
- 47:09Speaker 2: I'm glad you think it's all right. There was a
- 47:12Speaker 2: post yesterday. I go through different websites. As far as
- 47:18Speaker 2: who follows UK and I'm going to give a shout
- 47:20Speaker 2: out to this one website, a sea of blue. I
- 47:23Speaker 2: think they do a really nice job and I enjoy
- 47:28Speaker 2: reading them. They wrote a post.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Yesterday.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Do you believe Kentucky football will make a bowl game
- 47:34Speaker 2: this season? And I think vast majority on social media
- 47:39Speaker 2: were saying no. There were some of those, and I
- 47:42Speaker 2: can guarantee you local John would say yes. But there's
- 47:45Speaker 2: vast majority of them that say, nah, it's just not
- 47:48Speaker 2: going to happen because... of the schedule being way too difficult.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Watching UK play after the first two games, it's been,
- 47:59Speaker 2: forget about the tale of two halves on Saturday. It
- 48:01Speaker 2: was a tale of two games as well. Because Youngstown State,
- 48:04Speaker 2: I thought UK looked really good.
- 48:07Speaker 1: As they should against an opponent like that. And then.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Game two, UK looked good for a half. They just
- 48:14Speaker 2: let it go with one half, which was obviously really disappointing.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Because you saw a little bit of hope there. But
- 48:22Speaker 2: have you changed how you feel when we talked preseason
- 48:26Speaker 2: to where UK football is today? Or do you need
- 48:29Speaker 2: a little more information before you give your opinion whether
- 48:32Speaker 2: or not you believe UK can make a bowl game
- 48:34Speaker 2: or not?
- 48:35Speaker 1: I feel the exact same way today as I felt.
- 48:37Speaker 1: You do really? Yeah. I mean, because everything so far
- 48:40Speaker 1: has gone exactly like I thought it would. No, I
- 48:44Speaker 1: didn't think UK would be in the game first half.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I mean, I thought they could keep up with Alabama
- 48:49Speaker 1: for a bit. I always believed that, but I always
- 48:51Speaker 1: also knew that the result at the end would be
- 48:54Speaker 1: what it was. Well, yeah, I would agree with that.
- 48:58Speaker 2: But I thought the Youngstown State game would be a
- 49:01Speaker 2: little closer. And truthfully, I didn't expect UK to beat
- 49:05Speaker 2: them like they did. And I did not expect the
- 49:08Speaker 2: offense to look like they did. I thought the defense
- 49:11Speaker 2: would still be relatively good. But again, that's one of
- 49:14Speaker 2: the best FCF teams out there.
- 49:17Speaker 1: That's what they say. That's what they say. And that's
- 49:20Speaker 1: a fair point. So I don't know.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I don't think we'll talk about it Friday a little more,
- 49:27Speaker 2: but I don't think Texas A & M is going
- 49:29Speaker 2: to be close. I think South Alabama, they'll definitely get
- 49:31Speaker 2: a win. Now I'm getting to a point because preseason,
- 49:34Speaker 2: I said there was no way UK was going to
- 49:36Speaker 2: go to South Carolina and win.
- 49:39Speaker 1: You said no way on that? I did. South Carolina
- 49:42Speaker 1: never scared. I said UK was only going to win
- 49:46Speaker 1: two games this year. Did you really? I did.
- 49:49Speaker 2: When Larry Vaught, when we were doing the whole game
- 49:51Speaker 2: there at Commonwealth Stadium, Larry Vaught.
- 49:53Speaker 1: And John Wanlong was there.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I might have said three. I think it was two.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Where Larry really surprised me because he's pretty pessimistic. Especially
- 50:05Speaker 2: when it comes, I shouldn't say pessimistic. I should say
- 50:08Speaker 2: he's fairly honest and realistic. But he was probably the
- 50:14Speaker 2: most hopeful of the three of us. I believe he
- 50:18Speaker 2: said seven games. And that really surprised me. Oh, no,
- 50:23Speaker 2: John Wong said eight. But I'm to the point now,
- 50:26Speaker 2: I believe Kentucky can go down to South Carolina and win.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that was, I mean, I had that as a win.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I don't think LSU and Lexington will be a win,
- 50:34Speaker 2: and I don't think UK headed to Oklahoma will be
- 50:37Speaker 2: a win. I now truly believe, without a doubt, UK,
- 50:43Speaker 2: when Vanderbilt comes to Lexington, will definitely be a win.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I kind of throw it. Oh, I do. I think definitely.
- 50:51Speaker 1: You know, they're starting their five-star freshman this week, right? Yes,
- 50:55Speaker 1: I do. So if he looks good. Yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 2: I might be a little strong. But do you think
- 51:00Speaker 2: he stays there? I know he's from Nashville, but is
- 51:06Speaker 2: there any way? Listen, of all the teams that can't
- 51:10Speaker 2: afford to keep these players, Vanderbilt can outbid everybody. They
- 51:15Speaker 2: have more in their kitty than any other SEC team.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I don't know why. If he comes
- 51:24Speaker 1: out this year and has a lot of success, then
- 51:27Speaker 1: I don't know why he wouldn't. I mean, Vanderbilt's turning
- 51:30Speaker 1: into a really good program. Can you really win at Vanderbilt?
- 51:35Speaker 1: You can, but do you really believe it? That might
- 51:39Speaker 1: be the better question. Yes, they can win it, but
- 51:42Speaker 1: do you really believe it? Clark Lee's done a good job.
- 51:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's all about just players, right? If you've
- 51:50Speaker 1: got the right everything together, like, I mean, look at
- 51:53Speaker 1: South Carolina when Jadavia and Clowney was there. They were awesome.
- 51:57Speaker 1: If you would have told me that 10 years ago
- 51:59Speaker 1: that SE or that they would be one of the
- 52:02Speaker 1: weakest teams in the SEC, I'd be like, you're crazy. Yeah.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Because they were rolling. Yeah, they really were. Exactly. I
- 52:10Speaker 1: truly believe that outside of maybe like a Mississippi State,
- 52:15Speaker 1: I have no reason to believe that every other SEC
- 52:18Speaker 1: team can't win consistently. All right.
- 52:22Speaker 2: So I'm going with a win with Vanderbilt. So that
- 52:24Speaker 2: gives us four wins. Can Kentucky go to Knoxville and
- 52:29Speaker 2: beat Tennessee?
- 52:29Speaker 1: No. All right. How about Florida coming into Lexington? That one,
- 52:35Speaker 1: there's a chance. I see. I think so, too. I
- 52:38Speaker 1: kind of changed my mind on that.
- 52:40Speaker 2: John Summerall would be interesting to see what he does
- 52:42Speaker 2: because I think he's a really good coach. And I
- 52:45Speaker 2: think he will get Florida back. But it's going to
- 52:49Speaker 2: take him a little time. But coming to Lexington, if
- 52:52Speaker 2: this game was in Gainesville, I might flip it. But
- 52:56Speaker 2: since this game is in Lexington, I think the fan
- 52:59Speaker 2: base at that point is still– into this team. And
- 53:04Speaker 2: because I, if you bring the environment that they had
- 53:07Speaker 2: this past weekend against Alabama, I think that's going to
- 53:11Speaker 2: definitely flip the coin for Kentucky to get a win
- 53:14Speaker 2: over Florida. So I'm right there at five. Now you
- 53:17Speaker 2: got two games left to get to six. You got
- 53:22Speaker 2: Missouri in Columbia and you got U of L in Lexington.
- 53:28Speaker 2: What Which school do you think UK has a better
- 53:33Speaker 2: shot at winning?
- 53:37Speaker 1: This is going to tick all BBN off, but I'm
- 53:40Speaker 1: going to say Missouri. Are you really? Yeah. I don't
- 53:43Speaker 1: think either of those games are winnable, but if you
- 53:45Speaker 1: ask me which one is more winnable, it would be Missouri.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Why do you say Missouri when, no offense to my
- 53:51Speaker 2: friends over at UofL, they play the weakest schedule in
- 53:54Speaker 2: the country.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but they've got a really good team, regardless of that.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Are they good, though? Are they really good? I think
- 53:59Speaker 1: their quarterback, Lincoln Keenholz, I think by the time the
- 54:02Speaker 1: season comes to an end, he's going to be awesome.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I mean, he was really good in that Ole Miss game,
- 54:08Speaker 1: and obviously he looked good last week. They're playing Villanova. Man,
- 54:11Speaker 1: I just think he's fair. I mean, and they're– Their
- 54:13Speaker 1: running back room has got to be one of the
- 54:16Speaker 1: best in the country. I don't know. I'm high on
- 54:19Speaker 1: this Louisville team. I had them 10-2 going into the season,
- 54:22Speaker 1: and I'm still right there.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Oh, I'm still right there as well because of the
- 54:26Speaker 2: fact that they don't play anybody. Now, we'll see what
- 54:28Speaker 2: happens this weekend because they're facing SMU here in Louisville,
- 54:31Speaker 2: but they're facing them in Louisville. And is SMU really
- 54:33Speaker 2: that good? A couple of years ago, they were playing
- 54:36Speaker 2: in the All-American Conference or whatever that was, and they
- 54:40Speaker 2: were pretty good in that conference, but that's not that
- 54:42Speaker 2: great of a conference.
- 54:43Speaker 1: You know what their record is in the ACC their
- 54:45Speaker 1: first two years? Oh, tell me. 15-2. Yeah. That tells
- 54:49Speaker 1: you right there it's a weak conference. It just is.
- 54:53Speaker 1: And they put up 27 on Florida State. Yeah.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Well, you just can't tell me that it's going to
- 54:59Speaker 2: be a definitive win for UofL over Kentucky.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I'm not buying that. I'm not buying that right now.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Let's see how the season plays out. I don't have
- 55:07Speaker 1: blue-colored glasses on. I know you don't. And I'm looking
- 55:10Speaker 1: at the results from the last two seasons from that game,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and I have no clue how you all have any
- 55:16Speaker 1: confidence going into that game. I never said I had confidence.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm just saying we have a chance. I don't know
- 55:21Speaker 1: how you even have that mindset. And, you know, I'm
- 55:24Speaker 1: pretty realistic. I'm hopeful. Maybe that's it. When they have
- 55:28Speaker 1: beat you like a drum the way they have the
- 55:30Speaker 1: last two years. Yeah, they have. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Josh said, don't ever get down on yourself, Michael. You
- 55:38Speaker 2: and Justin have the most genuine show on the radio.
- 55:40Speaker 2: I love spending my mornings with you guys. And if
- 55:42Speaker 2: I didn't have it, it would be like a coffee
- 55:47Speaker 2: drinker without their daily coffee.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Wow. That's very nice, Josh. Josh, thank you very much. Okay. Well,
- 55:53Speaker 1: I do.
- 55:54Speaker 2: I think we all get down at some point. And
- 55:57Speaker 2: I just, I don't know. For some reason, I was
- 56:00Speaker 2: a little down in the dumps yesterday. I can't explain it.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Why? But, yeah, and I appreciate that.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Got days like that sometimes. We all do. Yeah, we
- 56:08Speaker 2: all do. It's not just me. And that was very
- 56:11Speaker 2: nice to say. Okay, for some reason, some of these
- 56:14Speaker 2: texts I can't pull up, and this one I can't
- 56:17Speaker 2: pull up.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Can you do that? Do you have the text up? Yep.
- 56:21Speaker 1: The 270. I can't pull it up. Texter says, of course,
- 56:24Speaker 1: Kiffin is happy. Everyone is paying attention to him and
- 56:26Speaker 1: not the game on the field. That is true. You
- 56:29Speaker 1: talk about the– all right. Who does, within the SEC,
- 56:36Speaker 1: I think it's fairly easy, who has the biggest ego
- 56:43Speaker 1: in the SEC as far as football coaches? Steve Sarkeesian.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You really think that? Yeah, dude blew off his post-game interview. Oh,
- 56:51Speaker 1: come on! I think it's Lane Kiffin. I don't even
- 56:59Speaker 1: think it's close. I think they're easily 1-2, and I
- 57:01Speaker 1: do think it's pretty close. Really? Wow, man. All right.
- 57:08Speaker 2: You got Kalen DeBoer, Alabama. Ryan Silverfield at Arkansas. Alex
- 57:13Speaker 2: Goulish at Auburn. John Summerall. Kirby Smart.
- 57:17Speaker 1: It's probably Alex Silverfield. Why do you say Ryan Silverfield
- 57:22Speaker 1: to me? What a joke of a program they are. Arkansas? Jesus. Yeah.
- 57:26Speaker 1: How much longer do you think he's going to be
- 57:28Speaker 1: at Arkansas? I'm wondering how much longer Arkansas has a
- 57:31Speaker 1: football team because they're horrible. Okay. Well, where do you
- 57:36Speaker 1: rank Kirby Smart as far as biggest egos in the SEC?
- 57:40Speaker 1: I mean, he may have a big ego, but I
- 57:42Speaker 1: don't feel like he often shows it. He's a little
- 57:45Speaker 1: more subdued. See, I'm right there with you as well.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I would agree.
- 57:48Speaker 2: I think He would be towards the middle of the
- 57:54Speaker 2: pack or something like that. I think to me it's
- 57:57Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin and probably I'm not going with Ryan Silverfield.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Dorkowitz?
- 58:05Speaker 1: Exactly. I'm going with Eli Drinkwitz at Missouri. Truthfully. Hold on.
- 58:10Speaker 2: And probably after that, I'm going with Shane Beamer.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I think we're missing a pretty significant name. Are we really? Yeah. Okay.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Will Stein. Oh, come on. Will Stein has got a
- 58:26Speaker 1: big ego, and you can't tell me otherwise. I wouldn't
- 58:29Speaker 1: say it's a big. He has an ego. I wouldn't
- 58:31Speaker 1: say it's big. He's got a big ego. Really? Absolutely. Okay.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I'm going to disagree with you right there. Just wait.
- 58:36Speaker 1: We can revisit this in a year or two when
- 58:38Speaker 1: he starts stacking some wins because you're going to see
- 58:42Speaker 1: that ego even just be even more big.
- 58:45Speaker 2: But I'm going to take it a step further. I'm
- 58:47Speaker 2: going to say Pete Golding should be up there from
- 58:49Speaker 2: Ole Miss. Because, you know, he's wanted all that attention
- 58:53Speaker 2: with Kiffin leaving and saying Kiffin's doing this, Kiffin's doing that.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Kiffin's just tattooed into that guy's brain. But he's wanting
- 59:01Speaker 2: some attention as well.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I feel like with him, though, in his situation, he
- 59:07Speaker 1: did it because he had to.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Uh biggest egos within uh sec basketball and i don't
- 59:13Speaker 2: think it's even close i mean cal for yeah yeah
- 59:17Speaker 2: it is uh definitely uh after that man if bruce
- 59:22Speaker 2: pearl was still there i would have said bruce pearl
- 59:25Speaker 2: sean miller's a perfect one uh.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Chris Beard? I wouldn't put him near the top. Really?
- 59:34Speaker 1: I mean, look, you got to have an ego to
- 59:36Speaker 1: be a head coach of a Division I school. Hold on.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Todd Golden. Yes. Oh, yeah. Come on. You have to
- 59:43Speaker 1: agree with Todd Golden. Yeah, I probably would agree with Todd. Yeah.
- 59:46Speaker 2: Anybody else? I don't think they're there. I mean, would
- 59:50Speaker 2: you put Rick Barnes up there? I don't think so.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Dennis Gates, no. No?
- 59:58Speaker 2: Would you put Mark Pope up there? I don't even
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: think Mark Pope has that big of an ego. But
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Cal's number one.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Nate Oates? Is he one of those guys? Maybe. Yeah,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I could see Nate Oates. Okay. Interesting.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: One person texted in, Michael, you could have been a
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: lineman for the county. Song reference, have Scoots explain it
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Could have been a lineman for the county. I don't
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: know that.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I don't know if I know. Is that a Johnny
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Cash song? Don't know that I get that one. I
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: don't know if I get that one. I definitely don't
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: get that one. Plus no school debt with the trade schools.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: And it's harder for AI to replace most of them. Well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: right now anyways. Yeah, that is true. Seems like AI
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: is taking over everything.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: It is.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Part of me likes this. Part of me is a
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: little scared. Between AI and robotics, what do you think
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: is taking over more? AI or robotics?
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: AI. You do? Because, I mean, aren't they one and
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the same? Are they really? I would assume. I have
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: no idea. I would have figured they were different.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: If the playoff expands from 16 to 16 or 24,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: do you consider a season a failure if the team
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: doesn't make it? I see a 16 as an inevitability.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Schools want to host and make more money for their programs. Okay. Yes. Well,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Failure is an awfully strong word. I think there's different
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: definitions of this. With Will Stein not making it his
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: first couple of seasons, I would not see that as
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: a failure. If he starts improving every single year. But,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: for instance, let's use Alabama, LSU, Georgia. Those teams, Texas, Oklahoma,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: if they don't make the playoffs, yes, I see it
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: as a failure for them. Then the middle to road
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: to lower echelon of the SEC, I don't see it
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: as a failure yet. What do you think, Justin?
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: If it goes to 24, that's completely different to me
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: than 16. If we go beyond 16, I'm going to
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: be really upset about it, first of all. Why? I
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: think it's great. 24 is just that. No, it's not.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: That is entirely too many. No, it's not. I love it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: How many NFL teams make the playoffs? 14. Is it
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: just 14? Yeah. Okay. Seven on each side. Well, never
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: mind then. But you've got a lot more college teams
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: out there. You do. But I don't know. 24 just.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: 24 does not seem like a big number to me.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: It seems egregious. I mean, we're going to be playing
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: playoff games for. 12, six. I mean, a month and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: a half. Oh, that's terrible. We're going to see college
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: games for a month and a half extra. You're going
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to be checked out because the cats aren't going to
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: be a part of it. Yeah, but it's still football.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: I'm going to enjoy it because every SEC team is
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: going to be in it. I don't have a problem
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: with it at all. Of course, the SEC certainly has
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: taken over the relevancy and the strongness of the conference again,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: and it's not the Big Ten. Okay. Let me know
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: when you win a championship. Ooh. Okay, well. That's what
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: it's all about, right? That's what we play for, don't we?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: At least our conference doesn't cheat and win games. But anyway.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: You can't hit me with that argument because the Big
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Ten is not, oh, Big Ten rocks. No. Okay. Big
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Ten's not like that. We all hate Michigan, too. Don't worry.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I want it to be 24 games because I want
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: more football. I love college football.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Is it you want more football or you want a
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: better chance to make the playoffs? Oh, absolutely both. Absolutely both.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Which one would mean more? Of course, the SEC. But
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: of course to have in 24-2 a better shot for
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: UK to make it. Oh, absolutely, Justin. I'm not going
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: to sit here and lie about that. That's number one,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: but it's almost 1A, 1B. Well, that's an exaggeration. It is.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Number one, I want UK to make the playoffs. Number two...
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I want more college football. What if I tell you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: we go up to 24? Yes. And let's just say
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: that's in two years. All right. Will Stein's got it rolling. Yes.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: And Kentucky makes the playoff, let's say, three straight years.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: But in those three years, you run into a juggernaut
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: in the first round, and you end up losing by 30. Okay.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: You're cool with that? Absolutely, because they got in. Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: it's fantastic. Because that's what it's going to come down to.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You're going to have a lot of these middle-tier teams
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: playing juggernauts, and in all likelihood, you're going to get killed,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: and it's probably not going to be a lot of fun.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: But at least we're in. At least we have a chance.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Just because we lose by a bunch doesn't mean we
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: didn't have a chance. We had a chance.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Just trying to understand the mindset. You'll never understand the mindset, okay?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Not of you, no. No, exactly.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: I don't even understand my mindset. Sorry, and I'm not
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: going to. I just apologize, and I shouldn't. I don't
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: apologize for my mind. I do not understand my brain,
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: and I never will. Nor do I want to.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I love it. I know I'm wacky. But no, that's
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: the way I want it. I know how I want it.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I want more football. Holly Rowe was wrong, okay? You're
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: still irritating. You're in my brain with that Holly Rowe take,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: by the way. I'm over here rolling my eyes. I know.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I love that you said that. Let's get to one
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: more before we take another break. John here.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: What happened to the good old days where you could
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: get a new cup of fur and not a used one.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Man times have changed. Also, big-time celebrities and social media
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: influencers wear Rolex watches. Mark Wahlberg has a big collection.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Others like Steve Will do it. Jake Paul, N3ON? Who
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: is that, the streamer? I think that means neon.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Oh, neon. Well, it says N3ON. It does.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Aiden Ross and even President Trump. One time, Aiden Ross
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: gifted Donald Trump a modern 40-millimeter watch Rolex Day-Date in
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: solid 18-carat Everose gold.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: That's cool. That watch has a highly coveted olive green
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: dial with raised Roman numerals and retails for over.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: $ 51, 000. So, yes, this plays a big role in wanting
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: that Rolex. So, Rolex is still a big deal. I
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: didn't realize that.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Me neither. I love them.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I think they're beautiful. Uh, but, uh, anyway, let me
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: get to this one more in the words of stone cold,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Steve Austin. If you think Kentucky football will make a
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: bowl game, then give me a hell.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, hell yeah. Y'all got me cussing this morning.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: That's from John. Kentucky is better than you think.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Yes!
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Watch your mouth, John. How dare you say hell. You
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: can't cuss when you become an auctioneer now, man. I mean,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: can you imagine?
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Hell yeah, we got a hundred bucks on this thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: It's like, oh my gosh, man. I don't know. I
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: think it would be more entertaining if he was up
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: there cussing, don't you? Yeah, for sure.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Can you imagine dropping some F-bombs out there as they're
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: in the middle of trying to get more money?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Nobody would understand it because nobody understands auctioneers. You don't
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: think so?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I got called out in the auction this
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: past June. It was hilarious. Oh, yeah. During the auction?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: In the middle of the auction, the auctioneer started calling
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: my name. Hey, Michael Bennett, Michael Bennett. Exactly. Michael doesn't
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: have his receipt. He's in a hurry. It was the funniest.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: You can go back and watch it. It's on YouTube.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: It's I think it was like day three or four
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: of the OBS June sale down in Ocala.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: It is. I've gone back and watched it like two
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: or three times. It's so funny. And it's Ryan.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I forget what his last name. He is the main
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: auctioneer for Keeneland. So when you go watch Keeneland, he's
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: the main guy and he's calling me out. So anyway,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: by the way, he listens to those on the radio.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: So yeah.
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I love that as well. All right, we've got to
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: take another break. 502-384-1450, you want to call in. 502-414-1450,
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: you want to text in. Keep sending those texts in.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: It makes me feel good.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: And we've got to talk about this whole UofL signing
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: multi-year brand partnership with somebody. We'll talk about that next.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Stay right there for Just Cats. Just Cats.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Who are you to wave your finger?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: You must have been out your head. I hold deep
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: in muddy waters.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: You practically raised the dead.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Rob the grave to snow the cradle then. soapbox house
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: of cards Well, this is an interesting song.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: That's what you're going to get with Louder Than Life.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Who is this?
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Tool.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Oh, this is Tool? Yeah. See, I know the name Tool. Okay.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I think that's the first time I've ever heard a
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: song from Tool. I kind of like it. It's funky.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Do you like it? Yeah, I like some of the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: sounds in the background.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Okay, so the headliners, you said My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden,
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: which I'm very familiar with Iron Maiden. I've heard of
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: My Chemical Romance. I've heard of Tool. Now we just
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: heard a song by them. And, of course, I like
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Limp Bizkit. But once you go below that, I think
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: I've heard of Pantera. It says it's their only U.S. show,
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: so there you go.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Really? Yeah. Megadeth.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: I've heard of Megadeth. I don't know their songs, but,
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: I mean, I think Alice Cooper I know. The only
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: song I know by Alice Cooper is School's Out Forever.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: I'm sure there's more than that. Do you know he
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: used to be a scratch golfer?
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Really? Yes.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: I have a buddy that was playing out there a
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: few years back, and he said, yeah, this guy came
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: up to the first tee, and I'm like, you look familiar.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: My name's such and such. He goes, yeah, I'm Alice Cooper.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: He's like, oh, my gosh. That's pretty awesome. He said
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: he looked totally different. He's out there playing golf. Speaking
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: of golf, I found out yesterday, so I've got an
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: intern in here every Tuesday. Yes. He's got an uncle,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: or a great uncle, I guess it is, who won
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: the Players' Championship in 1990. Who is it? How cool
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is that? Jody Mudd. Oh, Jody Mudd. That's his great uncle. Absolutely.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I know Jody. I don't know him, but I know
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: who he's talking about. Jody Mudd was great back in
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: the day. Yeah, he just casually dropped that in conversation yesterday.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: You didn't know who Jody Mudd was? I'd never heard
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: of Jody Mudd. Oh, my gosh. From here in Louisville. But, yeah,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: he won the players in 1990. That's pretty cool. And
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: he's fifth on the money list that year. Anthrax, I've
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: heard of them. I love how the website puts exclusive
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: performance of Salt. special production i mean what is this
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: supposed to be uh 30 years of madness i mean
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: it's it's a great website but then i i scroll
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: down here and i'm looking all these names i love
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: how you got all these hard rock bands that are
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: guys just screaming yes and then you got skillet who
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: they do the same thing but they're a christian band
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: oh seriously yeah that's pretty cool oh here's one called
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: metal church and it's a rare show by the way
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: maybe they're christian as well i don't know.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Then I get to this one band, and, of course,
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: I can't find it now. But it's like, what kind
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: of a name is that for a band? I would
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: want to go see Texas Hippie Coalition.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: You would? I like that name. Yeah, daggone it. Oh,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: there it is. Bowling for Soup. Wait, they're going to
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: be there? You know them? Come on. Where do you
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: see that? I am calling BS on that. Where do
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you see that? It is here on the louder than life.com.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: What day? Let me show you what day. Let me,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: I would go see bowling for soup.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: You know who bowling soup is.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Yeah. They got, they had some bangers back in the day. Seriously.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: They're more of like alternative. I wouldn't consider them in
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: the same class as like a, like a tour.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: That is so hilarious that you have actually heard of
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: them and want to go see them.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah. By the way, uh, you know, you have
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: to have a, uh, a tattoo to go to this, uh,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: festival don't you i would venture to say so yeah
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: i mean every one of them it's either a piercing
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: or a tattoo or long hair i do love this
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: band's name co-defendants that's a good one texas hippie coalition.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Yeah that's the one i said i want to go
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: see them do you really yeah i if if i
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: was to go and get me a fake tattoo what
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: what do you think i should get tattooed on.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Me Go Kants. Oh, no. Come on. You got to
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: be more original than that. K-A-Y-U-T-S. Oh, that's good.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: Okay, now I do like that, that you changed it up,
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: something typical, and you went ahead and changed it up
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: and made it K-A-Y-T-S.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: That's pretty good right there. K-A-Y-U-T-S. Oh, U-T-S? Kants. See,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: I think you can say it with K-A-Y-T-S. I don't know.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: You could. Did it hurt when you got yours? I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: know I've asked you before.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Oh, God, no.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: It felt great. It did? I'm ready for another one. Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: That's something that will just never happen to me. One
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: person texted in. Well, let me get to the right one.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: I know a recruit that wants to be on Just
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: the Cats.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Okay, well, who is it? Right. What recruit wants to
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: be on Just the Cats? Now I got to know
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: what recruit wants to be on Just the Cats. Do
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: you want to know?
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Please text me back, Texter, and let me know
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: what recruit wants to come on Just the Cats.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: And you know what? If it's a legitimate recruit, I'll
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: let them on. If it's not, then I can't do that.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Like, for instance, when Wondell Robinson was being recruited out
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: of Western High School over in Frankfurt, he came on
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: the show with me. And unfortunately, he chose Nebraska after that.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: I don't think I have a good. That was my
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: one and only. Well, no, I've had others on here.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: I shouldn't say that. But that was a pretty big one.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Thank goodness he came back. But Wondell was a lot
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: of fun. One person said UofL has no defense. Alabama
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: will be in the playoff. Ole Miss won't. Just a thought.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Whoa. That's a good one right there. And you know what?
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: I kind of feel the same way. Did I tell
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: you my hot take before the season started? And I
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: promise I said this before the season started. This has
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: nothing to do with last week's result. Yes. My hot
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: take was Ohio State misses the playoffs.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: Whoa!
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Not at all. That's a gigantic
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: hot take. Their schedule is tough. Oh, it is? Tough.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Okay, so they'll take into consideration that, number one, they're
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: a Big Ten team, number two, that their schedule is tough.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: How many losses do you think Ohio State can take
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: before they're thrown out of the playoff scene?
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I think if they lose three and they don't get
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: to the Big Ten championship, which they probably obviously wouldn't,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I think they're out. And they're going to lose to Indiana,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: so there's already a second loss. I'm just here to
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: tell you. All right, here's the question back at you then.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: If they lose three games and UofL loses two, who
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: deserves to be in the playoff? If Louisville's in the
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: ACC championship, Louisville. Really? Yep. Wow. Okay. Wow. Interesting. That's
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: just my thoughts. Yeah.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: So if Michael had a band, what would the name
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: would be? That's a great question.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: The Space Cadets.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: Squirrels.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: You gotta be. Here we go. Here's a good one.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Squirrels in Space. I love that you're saying this. Oh
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: my gosh. Great name for Squirrels in Space. You could
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: go Space Squirrels either way. Empty Head. I mean, that
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: would be another one. I like these names. What kind
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: of music would my band be playing? You would never know.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: It'd be different every night. Would it really? It'd be
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: a different genre. Whatever mood Michael Bennett is in is
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: the music we're playing that night. We'd start out playing
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: a metal song and it would somehow transition to country.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: We'd be like, how the hell did that happen? How
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: about heavy metal reggae? That might be the greatest question
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: we've ever had right there. That is awesome. I mean,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: there's got to be more band names than we can
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: think of. So go ahead and send some into me. 502-414-1450. Oh,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: my gosh. All coaches.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: I still like the squirrels in space and empty head.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. Cows in my brain.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: I mean, that would be another one. And I'm not
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: saying cow C O W I'm seeing C A L
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: Calipari in the brain. You don't want to give him
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: that satisfaction.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I'll see that. Probably true right there.
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Uh, Suck up? I don't know. Suck up.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Horses and losing money. All coaches have an ego, Michael,
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: even dork wits. As for AI, someone told me to
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: be nice to it, and it will give you faster results.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Great already is great. It's already emotional.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Because, you know, the funny part is, When I say
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: to my iPhone, you know, it's the whole, I don't
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: want to say it, you know, the whole Siri thing
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: because I'm worried it'll go off, my iPad and my phone.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: But I will, every now and then I'll say thank
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: you just to see if I get a response.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I don't talk to AI. Oh, you don't? No. I
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: used to talk, I guess, was was siri ai before
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: ai because i used to talk to siri on my phone.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Uh well to me siri is ai and so is
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: uh what's the other one that amazon has alexa alexa
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: yeah if i go alexa play just the cats you
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: think everybody is going on off now on their alexa
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: thing and it's playing just the cats Maybe.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Hey, Alexa. Yeah. Hey, Alexa, listen to Michael Bennett. He's
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: the greatest.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: How are you going to go from talking about buying
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: a huge cup to Rolexes?
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Someone needs a sedative. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Scooch, you need to play Sold for Michael. Have you
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: heard this one from John Michael Montgomery?
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: I haven't. Have you? You haven't heard that song? No,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I've never heard that. It's about an auctioneer. Oh, is
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: it really?
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Well, it's about a guy who's in the crowd, and
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: he sees this lady in the crowd and falls in
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: love with her. Oh, that sounds interesting. I said, hey,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: pretty lady, want to give me a sign? Yeah, he
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: sings it real fast, kind of like an auctioneer. Oh,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: he does? Oh, really? Like an auctioneer? It's good. It's
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: a good song. Oh, wow. Okay.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we might have to listen to that. All right,
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: so keep sending the texts in. I'll get to them
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: again after the next break. But what do you think
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: about UofL signing a multi-brand partnership with a cryptocurrency company
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: called Ripple?
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I don't understand it. Why not? I just don't get crypto. Oh,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: you don't like it doesn't make any sense to me. Well,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: it's money that's in outer space is what it is.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: How do they have money to to buy sponsorships?
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Well, clearly they do, because not only are they it's
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: an unspecified amount so far, so they haven't released how
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: much they're getting from this company.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: No, they gave, I want to say it was Kansas.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Yes, they gave Kansas $ 30 million.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: $ 30 million? $ 30 million. Oh, I thought it was like six. No, well,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: it might be six million a year. Oh, okay.
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: Which is a five-year deal. And then they only gave
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: Florida a one-year deal for $ 5 million.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so I imagine it'd be somewhere in the same ballpark.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Probably so. Five, six million. Well, I don't know.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: Do you think UofL is a bigger brand than Kansas?
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: Because I tell you, I don't.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: No. No. I don't.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: But, I mean, crypto is considered the highest risk asset.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: That's the crazy part. So, it's not going to make
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: me go invest in crypto. That's one of the things
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: my wife, because she's got all kinds of clients that
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: have asked, I want to invest in it. And she's like, no,
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: we're not investing in that.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. And you can take the
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: break to think about it if need be. They were
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: talking about it on Rutherford yesterday. Is there anything... off
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: the table for you in terms of a sponsorship if
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: they're going to come in and just give you, like,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: $ 10 million a year? As long as the check cashes,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I'm good to go. So you're good if taken money
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: from the family of Osama bin Laden? Oh, yeah. I
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: knew you were going to say that. Okay. Yeah, you're
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: probably right. Yeah, I'm not taking everything. Golly, what a
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: horrible thing to say just six days after 9-11. That's good. Exactly.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Maybe too soon. All right.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: So it'll never be too soon, by the way, with that. Yeah,
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: I would have things on it. Is there anything you
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: would not advertise for?
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I mean, probably like, I mean, this could be potentially controversial,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: but like an abortion clinic. I wouldn't want to take
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: their money. I wouldn't want to do. All right. So
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to do political ads. Same. Yeah. I
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: wouldn't want to do, probably, I don't want to do
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: any kind of pornography sites or a strip club. Right. Yeah.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't do anything like that. So, I don't know.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: I'd keep it clean. I mean, would I advertise for
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a church? I probably would. Sure. I advertise my church
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: every now and then. I say I'm going to be there.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: That's $ 10 million. Absolutely. I mean, that church is wealthy enough.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I mean, come on.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: Uh pope uh whatever his name is that's the white
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: socks fan i'll take your money just give me a
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: little catholic money that's right so there you go uh
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: one person said uh bennett's buttered churners for a band
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: name that's a horrible name i'm sorry but that was
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: bad what about hold the cinnamon butter.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Josh. Oh, my gosh. That wasn't Josh. Who was that?
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: What?
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Battleship and the Butterman from Josh. That's a phenomenal name
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: right there. I would just change it to Battleship and
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: the Cinnamonless Butterman. Oh, cinnamon.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: That's too much. I could never say that. Band name,
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Playing with Just the Tip. These are great names, by
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: the way. Keep sending more in them.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: 502-414-1450. We got to take our last break right now.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: If you send me more, I'll read them. But Bennett's
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: butter churners for a band name are Battleship and the Buttermen.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: What is it with me and butter? Come on, man. Anyway,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: we'll see you in a minute. Early in the morning,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: rising to the street. Light me up that cigarette and
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: strap shoes on my feet. Got to find a reason,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: reason things went wrong.
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: Got to find a reason why my money's on the line.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: I got a Dalmatian, I can stay. I can play
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: the guitar like I'm home. Okay, you got to tell
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: me who this is. Really? It seems like I've heard
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: this song before, but I can't think who it is.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: You definitely have. What if I tell you another song?
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I know I know this song. I've heard it before.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: They also sing Santeria. Does that help you? No, it doesn't. Sublime. Oh,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: it's Sublime? Yeah, I like Sublime. They're good.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: That's a good song right there. Love is what I got.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: That's right. Yes, it is. That's a great song. Okay, good.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: Let me get to a couple here because I've missed
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: from 48 Hanley. The best high school player in the
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: country is going to Tennessee for $ 6 million. Wondered what
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: other amenities he's getting. That's a fair question. I guarantee
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: you he's getting an off-campus apartment.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: Really nice one. Probably a car. Because, you know, every
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: school has a deal with the car dealers, and the
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: coaching staff gets cars, all this kind of stuff. I'm
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: always jealous of that. I'm assuming he's talking about David
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Gabriel Georges. Is that who it is? Did you see
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: what he did against Trinity on Friday night? No. Oh, yeah.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: That's the kid that plays on Peyton Manning's son's team, too,
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: doesn't he? Yeah, on that team outside of Chattanooga.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. That's it. Yes. Cignetti's number one in egos
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: and everything else. Is that true? Does he have, because
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: I look at him, I don't see his ego that big.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: I mean, and this is a guy, I'm not rooting
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: for him. I'm not, I don't care if he wins
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: or loses. I think it's kind of like, I think
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: he's just, hold on. I think he's just, this is
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: how I describe him. I think he's unique. Yeah.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: I wouldn't call him odd, but he can be, tend
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: to be a little odd, but I don't think his
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: ego is that big.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I definitely think he has a big ego, but it's
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: more for me. It's more like Kirby smart where he's
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: just more. Yes. Yeah. He's comfortable in his own skin. Yeah.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Have you seen a State Farm commercial yet? Cignetti's? Yeah. No,
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: I have not. Where Jake from State Farm's talking to
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: him about all the money he can save. Right. And
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Cignetti's just like, I'm so happy. But he's got that
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: stern look on his face, and Jake's like, are you happy?
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: I can't tell.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: And he's just like, yeah, I'm ecstatic. That's really good. Oh,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: it's hilarious.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I like that. Then he said, 48 Handlers gave Glenn Campbell.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: What were you talking about with Glenn Campbell?
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Cameron. Hall of Fame trainer Jack Van Berg was an auctioneer.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: How about that? I didn't know that. Do you remember
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: Jack Van Berg? I don't.
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: His daughter is a trainer now, and I believe his son, too,
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: or granddaughter. I don't remember which it is. Let's keep
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: that sucking up to the host to a minimum.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: His ego is under the radar. Is mine? No, he's
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: talking about Cignetti. Oh, he is? Okay. I got you. So, anyway,
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: are you sucking up to me, by the way? No,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: I think he means that listeners were sucking. Oh, they were? Oh,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: come on. We like that, though. Yeah. We're never going
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: to turn that down. All right, so yesterday, you can
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: go back and listen to the auction at Keeneland. So
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: they've had two days of the auction happening. It's been
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: through the book one. Today starts book two, which aren't
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: as good as book one, but they're still very good yearlings.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: But you could hear someone say, are two people in
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: an argument. And I mean, they're in a yelling match.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: And it kind of spread all over Twitter and some
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: other social media stuff.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: In fact, it got to a point where the auctioneer, Ryan,
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: that I was talking about a little bit ago, made
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: a comment during the auction, is.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: That a bid? Try to get them, I think, to
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: go somewhere else and have their argument. Are you ready
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: for who it was?
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: Mike Rapoli. Why did I think you were going to
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: say that? Exactly.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: He was heard yelling at someone at the Keeneland auction yesterday.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: It was so loud, the auctioneer had to ask, is
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: that a bid? It all stems from Rapoli accusing Keeneland
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: and certain bloodsuck agents of lack of transparency and potential
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: price manipulation.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I can see that, though. You can see what? From
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: the blood horse agents. Can you really? Yeah.
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: Because horse racing at the end of the day is
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: a sport, right? And all sports are, there are shady
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: aspects of every sport. I can see that being... Horse
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: racing's shady.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: But do you think Keeneland's being shady? Because I don't.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: Nor will I ever say Keeneland's being shady. How can
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: they be shady? Maybe, I don't know if the Bloodstock
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: agents are being shady more so than they're just, they
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: don't want to work with certain people.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: And I definitely understand that when it comes to micropoles. Exactly.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: So I used enough of my time. Get the bleep
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: out of my house. I mean, as of right. Exactly.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: That's the part that turns me off the most. Now,
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: there have been a lot of things he has been
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: outspoken about, which I honestly within horse racing.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I agree with him. It's like we need to fix
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: horse racing. And he's right.
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: And you have the whole HISA issue, which, you know,
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Kenny McPeak has been talking about. He's very bit outspoken
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: about it, but he's now been shut down. I think
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: they've just gone with HISA. I'm not going to criticize
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: them other than when you have things happen in any
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: sport out there. Sometimes, like, let's just use college sports
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: right now. You go too far to one side, and
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: then guess what? The only way to fix it is
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: go too far to the other side. And to me,
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: that's HISA right now in horse racing. And, you know,
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: because here's the other sad part. The person that spent
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: the most money at Keeneland right now in the last
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: two days?
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: Mike Rapoli. Nobody else has his money. Well, yeah, there are.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Jon Stewart does. Does he? Oh, yeah. He definitely does.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: But But.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: Horse racing has to be fixed. And I hope it's
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: fixed sooner than later. But I thought that was interesting.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Is there a website that you can go to to
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: see owners what percentage they hit on? Oh, absolutely there is.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Because I'm curious, throughout his entire career, what percentage of
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: his horses have gone on to do anything significant?
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you can look it up on AI. Just look
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: it up on AI and it'll tell you everything. I
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: just told you I don't use AI.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: Okay. All right.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: If you don't use AI, there's a thing called ownerview.com
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: that'll give you lots of information as far as stats.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: All right. I'll check it out.
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: For syndications, for owners, all kinds of stuff. And it
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: will show you what percentages they are winning.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: So yeah. So you can check that out right there.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: One person said, oh my gosh. Okay. This is terrible.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: It has a picture of me that looks like Jon
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Bon Jovi, and it's calling it Michael Bon Jovi.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: That hair is horrible. That's terrible. And my lips. Look
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: at my lips, how I'm looking there. It's so funny
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: because every time this texter does an AI of you
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: or a mashup of you, it doesn't look anything like.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: It's terrible. Like, I don't think that's what you look like. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Like his personality or not, he's a huge player, and
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: the industry needs more Kings. I couldn't agree with you more.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: We need Mike Rapoli in horse racing. We need people
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: that are outspoken. You're 100% right there, 48 Handley. Some
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: of his concerns are valid, and you are 1,000% right
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: So, anyway.
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: By the way, it's only been three months since the
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: Louisville Kings won their championship, and what better day to
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: celebrate it than three months later?
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Random Wednesday. Is it this? Where is it going to be?
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: It's going to be at the soccer stadium. Okay. From
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: six to eight. Okay. Yeah. If you just listen for
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: a minute, you'll. No, I'm not patient enough. I need
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: all my information now.
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: And here's the other crazy part. They want you to
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: RSVP if you're coming. I am not lying about this.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: They want you to go to the Louisville Kings website
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: and give all your information that you're coming to this event.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: Championship to make it easier for them next year to
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: hit you up for season ticket that too and i
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: don't like that you know what if we want to
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: come to the game we're coming or if we want
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: to come to the championship celebration we're coming i mean
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: what happens if i didn't show up they're not gonna
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: let me in yeah please well i we're gonna talk
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: more about this tomorrow because this is not enough this
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: is ridiculous that they're waiting three months so you know
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: what if we had a super bowl championship we won
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: we're gonna wait four months before you celebrate nobody does
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: that thing right mind louisville's so stupid sometimes anyway Love
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: you guys. Appreciate it. We'll see you tomorrow, Jessica.
