The State Of Florida And The FDLE Investigation Into Epstein · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: Hello everyone and welcome to the Jeffrey Epstein Show. I'm
0:03
Speaker 1: your host, Bobby Capucci, and this is a morning update.
0:10
Speaker 1: What's up everybody and welcome to the program. Look, we're
0:13
Speaker 1: just going to jump right into it today, alright? Down
0:16
Speaker 1: in Florida, another investigation, this time run by the state itself,
0:24
Speaker 1: has decided that there was no criminal wrongdoing in Jeffrey Epstein.
0:30
Speaker 1: getting that sweetheart of a deal. Nobody committed any crimes. Oh,
0:36
Speaker 1: he got preferential treatment, folks. But nobody committed any crimes.
0:41
Speaker 1: I mean, did you really think that an internal investigation
0:46
Speaker 1: was going to unearth anything? It's an absolute joke. This
0:53
Speaker 1: is the state of Florida's version of Leon Black's Having the,
1:01
Speaker 1: I'm using quotes here, air quotes, the independent law firm
1:05
Speaker 1: look at Apollo Global. That's what this is right here.
1:09
Speaker 1: So the state's going to investigate itself, huh? That always
1:11
Speaker 1: works out so great. They're going to expose themselves for
1:17
Speaker 1: being complicit in giving Jeffrey Epstein a sweetheart deal. That's
1:21
Speaker 1: exactly what we should have expected from this investigation, right?
1:26
Speaker 1: It's a joke. The investigation's a joke. The state of
1:29
Speaker 1: Florida's a joke. Hell, the whole entire justice system in
1:33
Speaker 1: the nation is a joke. And continuously, we see shit
1:38
Speaker 1: like this happen. And if what they did wasn't against
1:46
Speaker 1: the law, then perhaps, maybe, just maybe, some more laws
1:50
Speaker 1: need to be put on the books to hold these
1:53
Speaker 1: prosecutors responsible. Let's jump into this article from the Palm
1:59
Speaker 1: Beach Post. And let's see what the author, Jane Musgrave,
2:04
Speaker 1: has to say. Jeffrey Epstein. Florida probe finds no crime
2:09
Speaker 1: in how case was handled. That is just so ludicrous
2:12
Speaker 1: on its face. Just the headline alone is enough to
2:16
Speaker 1: launch me into orbit. This shit is aggravating. Time after time...
2:23
Speaker 1: Day after day, the federal government just gets in the
2:26
Speaker 1: way of bringing people like Epstein to justice. Oh, but
2:30
Speaker 1: don't worry. They have no problem kicking in your door
2:33
Speaker 1: if they think you're a drug dealer. The whole entire
2:38
Speaker 1: world is upside down, folks. And I swear to God,
2:41
Speaker 1: I swear to you, I feel like we're living in
2:43
Speaker 1: a simulation at this point. This can't be real life, right?
2:49
Speaker 1: Like I said, this article was authored by Jane Musgrave.
2:54
Speaker 1: And yet another blow for survivors of serial child molester
2:58
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Florida's top law enforcement agency on Monday said
3:02
Speaker 1: it found no evidence of wrongdoing in the way Palm
3:05
Speaker 1: Beach County Sheriff's deputies, or the state's attorneys, handled the
3:09
Speaker 1: wealthy Palm Beach resident's case. Well, whoever came to that conclusion...
3:16
Speaker 1: should be put on a ship right along with the
3:18
Speaker 1: 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and sent to the furthest
3:22
Speaker 1: island chain that is uninhabited in the Pacific Ocean so
3:27
Speaker 1: that they can't meddle in anybody else's life anymore. I mean,
3:30
Speaker 1: are you kidding me? How could you sit on one
3:32
Speaker 1: of these bodies with everything you know and come to
3:35
Speaker 1: the conclusion that that non-prosecution agreement was legit? It was
3:40
Speaker 1: all above board. It was kosher. The travesty of this
3:47
Speaker 1: whole entire thing is beyond words, folks. Honestly, it is
3:53
Speaker 1: beyond words. In three separate reports that were the product
3:59
Speaker 1: of a nearly two-year investigation, the Florida Department of Law
4:03
Speaker 1: Enforcement said it found no proof Epstein's riches or influence
4:08
Speaker 1: with power brokers won him special treatment. No, not at all. Nope.
4:12
Speaker 1: Had nothing to do with it. Barry Krischer was just
4:14
Speaker 1: You know, Barry Krischer is just an attack dog of
4:17
Speaker 1: a prosecutor, right folks? We can really rely on him
4:20
Speaker 1: to do the right thing. How can anyone think or
4:25
Speaker 1: say that this was above board? That this was acceptable?
4:31
Speaker 1: Because it was literally none of those things. It was
4:34
Speaker 1: not above board. It was not acceptable. And it's literally
4:38
Speaker 1: a travesty of justice. I honestly have no idea. How
4:42
Speaker 1: the people in Florida who look at this case can
4:46
Speaker 1: say to themselves or us with a straight face that
4:49
Speaker 1: there were no laws broken here. We need to fix
4:56
Speaker 1: this shit ASAP. And the current crop of politicians in
5:01
Speaker 1: Florida and elsewhere? Well, they certainly don't seem to be
5:05
Speaker 1: the guys or the gals to do it, folks. The
5:10
Speaker 1: agency dismissed allegations that former state attorney Barry Krischer bowed
5:13
Speaker 1: to pressure from Epstein's high-powered legal team to help craft
5:17
Speaker 1: a plea agreement that has been widely criticized as the
5:20
Speaker 1: deal of the century. I mean, were the investigators high?
5:26
Speaker 1: And I don't mean on marijuana, right? I'm talking about high.
5:29
Speaker 1: Were they, like, hitting the K2? Maybe that leaky leak?
5:34
Speaker 1: Getting a little wet? Because nobody who's sober can come
5:38
Speaker 1: to this conclusion. Nobody with a brain that's working at
5:42
Speaker 1: even half capacity. But yet, here we are with some
5:46
Speaker 1: of the smartest people in the room. The elected officials
5:50
Speaker 1: and the appointed judges and all of these jerk-offs who
5:54
Speaker 1: make up the political class, who think they can lord
5:56
Speaker 1: over us. Frankly, folks, I have had a belly full
6:00
Speaker 1: of these people. Further. Investigators said they found no evidence
6:07
Speaker 1: deputies allowed the self-described financier, pedophile, to have sex with
6:11
Speaker 1: two young women when he was allowed to leave the
6:13
Speaker 1: county stockade on work release. Well, Denise George begs to differ. And, well,
6:23
Speaker 1: looking at all the stuff in this case and how
6:25
Speaker 1: things were handled in Florida, I have zero confidence in
6:29
Speaker 1: Florida as a law enforcement type of place, okay? So...
6:33
Speaker 1: Throw all the shit you hear from Florida out the window.
6:36
Speaker 1: It's all tainted and garbage, especially after this ruling. So it's...
6:44
Speaker 1: Florida is just a shitshow, folks. I don't even know
6:47
Speaker 1: what to say about that place. Why anyone would live
6:50
Speaker 1: there is beyond me. If this is the way that
6:52
Speaker 1: the state prosecution is going to conduct itself, and then,
6:58
Speaker 1: after they're exposed for obvious wrongdoing, they don't even get
7:01
Speaker 1: baptized for it? Yeah, you can miss me with that shit.
7:06
Speaker 1: I'll be avoiding Florida at all costs. While investigators didn't
7:13
Speaker 1: discount the allegations in two ongoing civil lawsuits that Epstein
7:17
Speaker 1: molested two young women in his office in downtown West
7:20
Speaker 1: Palm Beach, Florida, they said deputies who were guarding him
7:23
Speaker 1: were unaware of it. So, again, their ignorance, wasn't their
7:28
Speaker 1: job to make sure that they kept people safe from
7:31
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein? Wasn't that what they were doing? But they
7:35
Speaker 1: weren't aware if he did that. What really were they doing?
7:40
Speaker 1: My guess is they were living the life of luxury.
7:44
Speaker 1: All kinds of great meals with their new boy Jeffrey.
7:48
Speaker 1: And you know, what's the big deal? They'll look the
7:49
Speaker 1: other way. Couple girls come through. Nah, no big deal.
7:55
Speaker 1: When it comes to drug cartels, it's plato or plomo.
7:59
Speaker 1: Either silver or lead, meaning you take the bribe or
8:02
Speaker 1: you get the lead. In America, they don't even have
8:05
Speaker 1: to threaten the lead. These dudes are just taking the bribes, probably.
8:11
Speaker 1: I'm so fed up with the broken, disgusting Department of
8:18
Speaker 1: Justice and the whole entire situation that we find ourselves in.
8:24
Speaker 1: Does anyone have any confidence in the institutions? And then
8:28
Speaker 1: when decisions like this are rendered, how can they expect
8:32
Speaker 1: anybody to believe in what they got going on, or
8:35
Speaker 1: to believe the narratives that they're pitching to us. Agents
8:42
Speaker 1: find no financial intelligence that crimes were committed. Oh, no
8:47
Speaker 1: financial intelligence. Well, first of all, you'd have to have
8:51
Speaker 1: some intelligence to search for the intelligence, you bunch of boops.
8:55
Speaker 1: Second of all, nobody believes anything that's coming out of
8:59
Speaker 1: the office of anyone in Florida, okay? FDLE agents also
9:04
Speaker 1: said they uncovered no financial intelligence that any of the
9:08
Speaker 1: 91 deputies who were paid a total of $ 128, 136 to
9:15
Speaker 1: watch Epstein traded money for favors. The money for Epstein's
9:19
Speaker 1: security detail at the Florida Science Foundation was paid to
9:23
Speaker 1: the sheriff's office and then distributed to deputies, investigators said. Yeah,
9:27
Speaker 1: I'm sure that there was no little something something on
9:30
Speaker 1: the side, right? Give me a break, man. Guess what?
9:36
Speaker 1: I don't trust the police either, okay? I don't trust
9:39
Speaker 1: any of the institutions in this nation. Can I be
9:42
Speaker 1: any more clear? And I don't know how anyone does.
9:48
Speaker 1: Just take a look at TV for five seconds. Just
9:50
Speaker 1: read some articles in the news and you'll see the
9:54
Speaker 1: way these people conduct themselves. To think that these guys
9:57
Speaker 1: would be above getting a few bucks on the slide
9:59
Speaker 1: for jeffrey epstein come on stop it oh well it
10:02
Speaker 1: wasn't on their taxes it cautioned that the findings were
10:08
Speaker 1: preliminary but it said based on its review of available
10:11
Speaker 1: information no crimes were committed further Even if additional evidence
10:16
Speaker 1: is uncovered, given that more than a decade has elapsed,
10:19
Speaker 1: the Statue of Limitations has long passed. And there it is.
10:22
Speaker 1: The devil's in the details, folks. Kick the can down
10:26
Speaker 1: the road. Let's get the Statue of Limitations kicked in
10:30
Speaker 1: so nobody's ever held accountable. And the dance goes on. Meanwhile...
10:40
Speaker 1: The survivors are left once again holding the bag. I
10:43
Speaker 1: hope you feel good about yourselves, Florida. And I hope
10:46
Speaker 1: the FDLE, who conducted this garbage-ass investigation, feels good about themselves, too.
10:55
Speaker 1: Sheriff Rick Bradshaw, who asked Governor Ron DeSantis in August
11:00
Speaker 1: 2019 to order FDLE to investigate his deputy's conduct after
11:04
Speaker 1: news of Epstein's cushy treatment exploded, applauded the findings. You know,
11:09
Speaker 1: Ron DeSantis is another one. Strikes me as a weirdo.
11:13
Speaker 1: I don't trust any of these dudes. I wonder how
11:16
Speaker 1: many parties he was hanging out with with his boy
11:18
Speaker 1: Matt Gaetz. After an extensive investigation, FDLE determined that there
11:26
Speaker 1: was no inappropriate or criminal activity on the part of
11:29
Speaker 1: any PBSO member... With respect to their participation in Epstein's
11:34
Speaker 1: work release or the permit detail, he said in a
11:36
Speaker 1: written statement, as if this is, you know, getting them
11:39
Speaker 1: off the hook, right? This is his mea culpa. See,
11:42
Speaker 1: we did nothing wrong. Why? Because your friends in another
11:46
Speaker 1: government agency said so? Sorry. How about an independent board
11:50
Speaker 1: takes a look at this? Not one of your friends,
11:53
Speaker 1: not a law firm who you have ties to. A
11:57
Speaker 1: real independent investigation. I'd be calling for a federal investigation,
12:02
Speaker 1: but Merrick Garland doesn't know his ass from his elbow.
12:06
Speaker 1: So that's out as well. But, he said, the state
12:12
Speaker 1: agency won't have the last word. An ongoing internal affairs
12:16
Speaker 1: investigation will determine whether deputies violated any department policies. The
12:22
Speaker 1: results are expected soon, he said. Yeah, okay, I have
12:25
Speaker 1: a lot of confidence in that. It's meet the new
12:29
Speaker 1: boss same as the old boss. If you think anything's
12:32
Speaker 1: different now that Merrick Garland's in there than when Barr
12:34
Speaker 1: was in there, you're wrong. Maybe it's package different, right?
12:37
Speaker 1: But it's all the same shit. These people all have
12:40
Speaker 1: the same goal in mind. Neither Krischer nor the state
12:46
Speaker 1: attorney's office responded to phone calls or emails about the
12:49
Speaker 1: FDLE's findings. The probe cast a shadow over Krischer, a
12:53
Speaker 1: respected 16-year state attorney, who won awards and accolades for
12:57
Speaker 1: his work on behalf of young victims of sexual assault
13:00
Speaker 1: before he left office in 2009. Talk about a joke. So,
13:06
Speaker 1: let's just put it into perspective, okay? And I don't
13:08
Speaker 1: care how you feel about Rush Limbaugh, alright? This same prosecutor,
13:14
Speaker 1: Barry Krischer, tried to put Rush Limbaugh in jail for
13:17
Speaker 1: a billion years because of drugs, but at the same
13:20
Speaker 1: time is giving Epstein a sweetheart deal? It's bullshit. It's garbage.
13:27
Speaker 1: And I'm sick of these disgusting prosecutors not treating this
13:30
Speaker 1: stuff with the seriousness that it deserves because it's one
13:34
Speaker 1: of their buddies or somebody who contributed to their political
13:38
Speaker 1: campaign or their boss's political campaign. The trampoline effect is severe.
13:49
Speaker 1: His departure came six months after Epstein pleaded guilty to
13:52
Speaker 1: two state prostitution charges, even though Palm Beach police said
13:56
Speaker 1: he had lured dozens of teens to his mansion for
13:59
Speaker 1: massages that many said led to sexual assault. Two state charges, folks.
14:03
Speaker 1: Just remember that. Two state prostitution charges with underage girls,
14:06
Speaker 1: by the way. And there's no wrongdoing on the behalf
14:12
Speaker 1: of the state for giving him this sweetheart deal. Try
14:16
Speaker 1: and come to terms with that. There's no way that
14:20
Speaker 1: anyone can justify this to me. He served 12 months
14:26
Speaker 1: of an 18-month sentence and was allowed to leave the
14:29
Speaker 1: stockade for 12 hours a day, six days a week.
14:32
Speaker 1: Imagine that kind of sweetheart deal for some scumbag child molester.
14:38
Speaker 1: I honestly have no idea how anyone finds it acceptable.
14:45
Speaker 1: This dude's in there. All these little girls came forward
14:48
Speaker 1: and said he was touching them and abusing them and
14:50
Speaker 1: assaulting them. And he's able to leave six days a week?
14:54
Speaker 1: for 12 hours a day? Why? Because he has to
14:57
Speaker 1: go to work? What does that even mean? So is
15:02
Speaker 1: El Chapo able to leave six days a week? Was
15:07
Speaker 1: Gas Pipe Castle allowed to do that? What about the Unabomber? Hell,
15:11
Speaker 1: maybe we should let David Berkowitz out for a weekend
15:14
Speaker 1: retreat to run around the streets of Yonkers again. I'm
15:19
Speaker 1: telling you, everything is upside down, folks. I don't even
15:21
Speaker 1: know what to say at this point. I'll tell you
15:24
Speaker 1: this much, though. This article has me heated. I'm just
15:28
Speaker 1: so disgusted by all of it. The whole entire thing.
15:31
Speaker 1: Everything we witness on a daily basis. Just compounds and
15:35
Speaker 1: compounds and builds. And it's like shoving five pounds, ten
15:40
Speaker 1: pounds of shit into a five pound bag. After Epstein
15:46
Speaker 1: was charged by New York prosecutors in 2019 with child
15:48
Speaker 1: sex trafficking... The case became a global sensation and Epstein
15:53
Speaker 1: an international pariah. He was found in a Manhattan jail
15:57
Speaker 1: cell shortly after he was arrested and denied bond. U.S.
16:03
Speaker 1: Attorney Alex Acosta resigned from cabinet job over controversy. So
16:08
Speaker 1: if Alex Acosta resigned, and he should have, how is
16:11
Speaker 1: it that Barry Krischer and the rest of those assholes
16:14
Speaker 1: escape any punishment? So it's all Acosta's fault, right? Sorry,
16:20
Speaker 1: I'm not going to let them off that easy. We're
16:22
Speaker 1: not just going to scapegoat one guy so all of
16:24
Speaker 1: the higher-ups can skirt. No way. Not here. Not on
16:27
Speaker 1: this podcast. Never. Mukasey on down. All of them. The
16:32
Speaker 1: whole entire lot of them. And that's on the federal side.
16:36
Speaker 1: When we're talking about the state people, Krischer, Krista Marks,
16:41
Speaker 1: all of those people. And none of them are held responsible.
16:45
Speaker 1: Everything was above board, folks. It was a quality investigation.
16:49
Speaker 1: You guys all had Epstein read wrong, okay? In an
16:55
Speaker 1: attempt at damage control, former South Florida U.S. Attorney Alex
16:59
Speaker 1: Acosta sought to blame Krischer for a controversial non-prosecution agreement.
17:04
Speaker 1: Under the agreement, federal prosecutors agreed to shelve a 53-page
17:07
Speaker 1: indictment they had prepared against Epstein if he pleaded guilty
17:11
Speaker 1: to state charges. So again, it's all about Acosta, right?
17:16
Speaker 1: Barry Krischer, sliding on through. I wonder if this guy
17:19
Speaker 1: has pictures of somebody with a goat or something. How
17:22
Speaker 1: the hell do you avoid this kind of scrutiny, this
17:25
Speaker 1: kind of pressure? Must be nice to be part of
17:30
Speaker 1: the big club. The Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office
17:37
Speaker 1: was ready to let Epstein walk free, no jail time, nothing,
17:41
Speaker 1: Acosta said during a nationally televised press conference. Prosecutors in
17:45
Speaker 1: my office found this to be completely unacceptable. So you
17:48
Speaker 1: have his story, you have Krischer's story, and then the
17:50
Speaker 1: truth is somewhere in the middle, right? One thing is certain,
17:53
Speaker 1: both Krischer and DaCosta, both assholes who need to be
17:59
Speaker 1: reprimanded for their role in this. Krischer pushed back. He
18:06
Speaker 1: issued a statement saying Acosta was distorting the facts and
18:09
Speaker 1: misrepresenting how the system works. Boy, talk about an oxymoron.
18:13
Speaker 1: Breaking news, Barry Krischer. This system does not work, okay?
18:17
Speaker 1: So spare us your nonsense. Mr. Acosta should not be
18:22
Speaker 1: allowed to rewrite history, Krischer said in the statement. I
18:25
Speaker 1: can emphatically state that Mr. Acosta's recollection of this matter
18:29
Speaker 1: is completely wrong. So this is what happens, right, when
18:33
Speaker 1: you have scumbags who are involved in something like this
18:36
Speaker 1: get called to the carpet. They start finger pointing and blaming.
18:41
Speaker 1: And in reality, they're all to blame, in my opinion.
18:45
Speaker 1: Acosta on down. Every single one of these people that
18:47
Speaker 1: had anything to do with this non-prosecution agreement should never,
18:52
Speaker 1: ever collect a state pension or work for the state
18:56
Speaker 1: ever again. Point blank, period. The explosive press conference was
19:02
Speaker 1: largely blamed for costing Acosta his cabinet post as U.S.
19:06
Speaker 1: Labor Secretary under President Donald Trump. Acosta resigned the next day,
19:11
Speaker 1: as he should have. He should have never been put
19:13
Speaker 1: in that position in the first place. However, in an
19:18
Speaker 1: investigation in late 2019, the Palm Beach Post found that
19:22
Speaker 1: only one of Epstein's survivors was called to testify against
19:26
Speaker 1: before the grand jury that indicted Epstein. So again, all
19:30
Speaker 1: of those allegations, all of those girls, why only call
19:33
Speaker 1: one to testify before the grand jury? Also, why assail
19:37
Speaker 1: her credibility in that very grand jury room? Why call
19:41
Speaker 1: her a prostitute? Why say that she was drinking, smoking weed?
19:45
Speaker 1: All this other BS that the prosecution should be fighting against,
19:49
Speaker 1: they're joining in on. they're part of the chorus but
19:51
Speaker 1: no they did nothing wrong they really have people's best
19:56
Speaker 1: best wishes at the forefront of their mind and if
20:01
Speaker 1: you're a parent in Florida you can feel real safe
20:04
Speaker 1: that the state cares about your children said nobody ever Further,
20:11
Speaker 1: rather than treating the teen as a survivor, Krischer's prosecutors
20:15
Speaker 1: focused on her social media postings, where she talked about
20:18
Speaker 1: drinking liquor with boys and talking about sex. There you
20:21
Speaker 1: have it, folks. That's exactly what the prosecutors are supposed
20:24
Speaker 1: to do. Boy, I'll tell you what, lucky this isn't
20:26
Speaker 1: my daughter. We'll just leave it at that, because I
20:30
Speaker 1: would be howling. You think I got a big fat
20:34
Speaker 1: yap now? Boy, you ain't seen nothing yet. Her posts
20:40
Speaker 1: had been provided to Krischer's office by Epstein's top-tier lawyers,
20:43
Speaker 1: including Harvard law professor Alan, I kept my underpants on, Dershowitz.
20:48
Speaker 1: Rather than treat her as a victim, she was portrayed
20:51
Speaker 1: as being eager to participate in Epstein's lurid schemes, sources
20:54
Speaker 1: told the paper. And the jerk-offs in the grand jury room?
20:58
Speaker 1: The people who sat on that grand jury? What a
21:01
Speaker 1: bunch of idiots. What a bunch of morons. In his
21:09
Speaker 1: interview with FDLE investigators, Krischer acknowledged that only one teen
21:13
Speaker 1: testified before the grand jury, even though he said three
21:16
Speaker 1: were summoned. Imagine that. Only one. So we only have
21:21
Speaker 1: the testimony of one girl, one little girl, about this
21:24
Speaker 1: Epstein case. And they could have had a bunch more,
21:27
Speaker 1: but they decided not to. Krischer recalled one witness was
21:35
Speaker 1: out of town, and the other victim's mother did not
21:37
Speaker 1: want her to testify, investigators wrote. So one was out
21:40
Speaker 1: of town. How about postpone the grand jury till she
21:43
Speaker 1: gets back? What do you say? Former Palm Beach police
21:50
Speaker 1: chief Michael Ryder told investigators that Krischer's office told him
21:54
Speaker 1: they wouldn't prosecute Epstein for crimes if the teens were
21:57
Speaker 1: 16 and over and that involved extraordinary circumstances, meaning intercourse,
22:03
Speaker 1: FDLE agents wrote. I mean, I don't know how many
22:08
Speaker 1: ways I can say this, okay? Now, I'm going to
22:11
Speaker 1: say a bad word here, so you might want to
22:13
Speaker 1: cover your ears. The state of Florida and the whole
22:17
Speaker 1: entire justice system down there is absolutely fucked. Disappointed that
22:26
Speaker 1: Krischer wasn't vigorously pursuing the case, Ryder asked the FBI
22:30
Speaker 1: to investigate. That ultimately led to the involvement of federal
22:34
Speaker 1: prosecutors and the infamous non-prosecution agreement. Krischer acknowledged that he
22:40
Speaker 1: and Ryder were at odds, investigators wrote. With some of
22:43
Speaker 1: the teens scared and giving conflicting statements, Krischer said he
22:47
Speaker 1: didn't believe the case was as strong as Ryder did.
22:51
Speaker 1: I mean, what? You didn't believe the case was as
22:54
Speaker 1: strong as Ryder did? You have a bunch of little
22:56
Speaker 1: girls coming forward and telling you that this happened. But nah,
23:00
Speaker 1: this isn't a strong case. Is there ever going to
23:03
Speaker 1: be a forensic investigation into the finances? Are we going
23:06
Speaker 1: to see if Epstein paid any of these people off?
23:09
Speaker 1: We're not going to even bother ask those questions as investigators.
23:18
Speaker 1: Reuters' assessment of the strength of the case did not
23:20
Speaker 1: comport to our assessment of the strength of the case,
23:23
Speaker 1: Krischer told investigators. After interviewing Krischer, prosecutors who were involved
23:28
Speaker 1: in the case, judges and police, FDL agents, said they
23:31
Speaker 1: found no evidence that any laws were broken. Yeah, okay,
23:35
Speaker 1: sure they didn't. We interviewed all of the lawyers and
23:38
Speaker 1: all the people that were on the hook to get
23:40
Speaker 1: in trouble. Oh, I'm sure they spun themselves a nice story.
23:43
Speaker 1: They've had plenty of time to concoct one. No evidence
23:51
Speaker 1: was developed to substantiate a criminal predicate that would warrant
23:54
Speaker 1: FDLE to continue a criminal investigation into the matter at
23:57
Speaker 1: this time, it concluded. Attorney Bradley Edwards, who represented more
24:02
Speaker 1: than a dozen of Epstein's survivors... didn't return a phone
24:05
Speaker 1: call or email to comment. Edwards convinced U.S. District Judge
24:10
Speaker 1: Kenneth Mara that federal prosecutors violated the Crime Victim Rights
24:14
Speaker 1: Act by not letting them know about the non-prosecution agreement
24:18
Speaker 1: until it was too late to change. But he said
24:21
Speaker 1: there was nothing he could do because Epstein was dead. Again,
24:24
Speaker 1: the system is so foobar, folks. Because he's dead, let's
24:28
Speaker 1: drop the case. Let's just forget about all of it.
24:31
Speaker 1: as if there were no co-conspirators. Here's an idea. Drop
24:35
Speaker 1: a RICO net over all of them, and we wouldn't
24:37
Speaker 1: have to have this conversation. Last month, a deeply divided
24:44
Speaker 1: 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta for a second
24:46
Speaker 1: time said federal prosecutors didn't violate the act. It found
24:51
Speaker 1: the law didn't apply because federal prosecutors didn't indict Epstein
24:54
Speaker 1: themselves and instead relied on Krischer to do so. Was
24:58
Speaker 1: that by plan? Did they do that with the intent
25:01
Speaker 1: purpose knowing that they would be able to concoct this,
25:05
Speaker 1: get out of jail free card for themselves if they
25:07
Speaker 1: were ever caught? I know that's a cynical way to
25:09
Speaker 1: look at things, but do we really trust these people?
25:16
Speaker 1: As a state prosecutor, Krischer wasn't bound by federal law.
25:20
Speaker 1: Edwards expressed disappointment on behalf of his clients, who have
25:23
Speaker 1: fought for more than a decade to have their voices heard.
25:26
Speaker 1: He vowed to take the fight to Congress and convince
25:28
Speaker 1: lawmakers to close loopholes in the law that kept Epstein's
25:31
Speaker 1: young survivors in the dark. In the end, the upshot
25:35
Speaker 1: of multiple investigations and lawsuits is that Bradshaw eliminated work release.
25:40
Speaker 1: Many criminal defense lawyers said it helped those who committed
25:43
Speaker 1: nonviolent offenses. By being allowed to leave jail to work,
25:47
Speaker 1: they can make sure they had a job waiting for
25:49
Speaker 1: them after they had served their sentences. Look, I'm not
25:52
Speaker 1: against that, honestly. If we're talking about non-violent offenders, right?
25:57
Speaker 1: That doesn't mean sex offenders, okay? We're talking about non-violent offenders.
26:02
Speaker 1: I'm all about rehabilitation, folks. I don't want people to
26:04
Speaker 1: rot in prison. I want people to be rehabilitated. Those
26:08
Speaker 1: who can be. But those who are A menace to society?
26:12
Speaker 1: Those who can hurt the people we love? They need
26:15
Speaker 1: to be locked up! In the wake of the controversy
26:21
Speaker 1: over Epstein's lenient treatment, Bradshaw asked the county's criminal justice
26:25
Speaker 1: commission to review its merits. After the advisory board found
26:29
Speaker 1: no benefit to the agency, Bradshaw dismantled the program. So,
26:34
Speaker 1: the moral of the story is, you can get away
26:37
Speaker 1: with all sorts of bullshit if you're with federal prosecutors.
26:43
Speaker 1: Sorry about that. Folks had some dogs barking real quick.
26:46
Speaker 1: But it comes down to the situation of... So you
26:49
Speaker 1: can do all of this stuff, right? Be involved in
26:53
Speaker 1: cutting these sweetheart deals... And the only penalty when all
26:57
Speaker 1: is said and done... Is that this work release program
27:02
Speaker 1: is cut? How can anyone justify that? But like with
27:09
Speaker 1: this whole entire case from the very beginning... Down is up,
27:15
Speaker 1: left is right, right is left, and the federal government
27:20
Speaker 1: remains inept. If you'd like to contact me, you can
