Tiny Tremor Shakes Southern France | France News
A tiny but noticeable earthquake rattled southern France on Saturday, July 11th — a magnitude 2.6 tremor near Cers sent locals in Béziers and Portiragnes scrambling to check their homes, mistaking the shake for an explosion or low-flying plane. Authorities quickly assured everyone it posed no threat, as quakes this small rarely cause damage. France’s seismic activity is generally mild, and this one left no injuries or destruction.
