- 0:00A Gemara. I know what you think it is.
- 0:03The Gemas is a story. It seems like a kind of random
- 0:08story. So if you Donna see which is the
- 0:11rabbi from the Gemara, I put together the mission.
- 0:14Actually he had a relationship with Antoninus.
- 0:19Antoninus was the ruler of the time, the non Jewish ruler and
- 0:23had a relationship. This isn't actually a very
- 0:24private thing, because Marc Anthony, that's the that's your
- 0:28name, the Roman Emperor, right? Roman Emperor.
- 0:30Is that Mark Anthony or no? Yeah, the the father of
- 0:33Stoicism. OK, so they had a relationship,
- 0:35a strong relationship. And in fact, they had a tunnel
- 0:40on the ground that connected it to homes.
- 0:42And the reason it had to be on the ground is because it would
- 0:46have to be private. Being that if he, if anyone knew
- 0:49that this man had a relationship with a Jewish rabbi, you'd be in
- 0:52big trouble. So because of that, it was a
- 0:54very private relationship and he would visit all the time at
- 0:57nights and ask the rabbi for his sophomore questions.
- 1:01So what was this question again? My last question was as follows.
- 1:04Amar Le Antonina's leader be this man told the be goof
- 1:09Venishama the body and the soul. The body and the soul are able
- 1:15to have the following claim each one on their own can say I never
- 1:20did anything wrong in my life. You Colleen, they've taught us
- 1:24mom and Nadine, they can say to themselves hate to God, we are
- 1:27not to blame for whatever happened in our life.
- 1:29How so? Because the body, the soul can
- 1:32say rather the body first. The body can say after 120 look
- 1:38at me, I'm in the ground, I'm not moving, I'm not running, I'm
- 1:42not jumping. I can obviously have no power of
- 1:45sin on my own. I'm not the source of sin.
- 1:47You know this argument and the soul can say, the soul can say
- 1:53look at me right now after 120, I'm flying in the air, I'm on my
- 1:57own. I never sent a day in my life
- 2:00anymore. So it's obviously I was not the
- 2:02problem. The body is saying so and the
- 2:04soul is saying so. So what does God do?
- 2:07How could God judge him? This is the question that he has
- 2:09or be or be answered the following.
- 2:12He said imagine on my shop, I'll give you a parable.
- 2:16Imagine a king or someone has an orchard and he hires 2 Watchmen
- 2:22to watch this orchard for the beautiful fruit.
- 2:24One watchman is lame, can see and everything function to be
- 2:29can't walk. Another one can walk fine, but
- 2:34he can't see, says the rabbi, the king.
- 2:37The king has these two Watchmen for some odd reason these are
- 2:39his higher Watchmen and they're watching his fruit.
- 2:41What happens? The one who can see tells the
- 2:46one who's lame. I see beautiful fruit.
- 2:50Let's go back then you know what the lame guy says?
- 2:54I can't walk. So what happens is the lame
- 2:58person who disabled the same, The blind person is unclear to
- 3:02the one who can see it was lame and I see beautiful fruit, let's
- 3:06go get them. So he gets on the shoulders of
- 3:09the blind guy and combined they go ahead and they steal that
- 3:13fruit, says the rabbi. What God does to judge a person
- 3:18after 120 years, He recombines the body and the soul and he
- 3:22just combined. What do they do together?
- 3:25Do they create sin? Do they create myths?
- 3:27Vote what? He looks at the two of them as a
- 3:29pair. He doesn't look at them as
- 3:30separate, looks them as a pair in order to figure out how to
- 3:33judge a person. Hashem cannot judge your soul
- 3:35alone. When can he judge your body
- 3:37alone? He judges them together as a
- 3:38pair because there's a pair combined they create results.
- 3:41This is the guy I learned last year.
- 3:42I was learning with a bunch of boys.
- 3:44I learned this came out. I was, I went to the store and I
- 3:48bought two books. I happened to be in the store.
- 3:50My wife wanted to go to the clothing store.
- 3:52I wanted to go to the bookstore, the rented store.
- 3:54So I went in and looked for two books.
- 3:56I happened to open up two books, both talk about this topic.
- 3:58These two, I bought them both. All right, That's what happens
- 4:00if I go to the Supreme store, I buy at the store.
- 4:03Trust me. She went to get sales and I
- 4:05walked out spending a few $100.00.
- 4:07So now what did I see from this these rabbis on this book?
- 4:12I found her. Miller says the following point
- 4:14on the scheme and he says one second.
- 4:16I don't get it. The body is still nothing.
- 4:20Even after the combination. There's still no, the body is
- 4:23still never to blame. The body is a is a combination
- 4:26of chemicals. It's all physical.
- 4:28What does this mean? The camera, the soul alone.
- 4:31You can't judge. So you combine the soul with the
- 4:33body and then the two of them. I judge, not two of them.
- 4:36There's no two of them. The body is still a very
- 4:38physical thing. The body is nothing on its own.
- 4:40How do you explain? He asks.
- 4:42Right. Miller asks how do you explain
- 4:44this combination and therefore result?
- 4:46I don't see a combination. I still see all soul.
- 4:49That was his question. All right, so he says the
- 4:53following answer, which to me is eye opening and a concept that's
- 4:56very important. We don't mean, he says the
- 4:59physical body. The physical body is like
- 5:01anything else physical. There's no difference in the
- 5:03physical chemicals on my body and this chair.
- 5:06They're both very physical. They don't mean that.
- 5:08We mean the following point when we say body.
- 5:10This is fundamental point. I think it changes how you see
- 5:14people. Let me ask you a question.
- 5:17How do you look at it? We're all over here, right here.
- 5:20We're all a bunch of bodies. God gave us All Souls.
- 5:24Do we look at it like God walked in and gave everyone a soul,
- 5:30which is the power to function and the ability to do misfuge?
- 5:33We're all different bodies, but God gave us all the same kind of
- 5:36soul. Is that how we look at it or do
- 5:39we look at it differently? In other words, is the idea of
- 5:42soul is a spiritual thing, swallows thing from Mountain
- 5:44High helps us function, helps us do this well to connect to God.
- 5:47It's all part of God. So there I shall basically and
- 5:51fuse into a bunch of different bodies, same concept of soul and
- 5:56somehow the result is different or is it deeper than that?
- 6:00That is the question or I'm Allah asks and if you answer
- 6:02this question, you will learn and understand people to a whole
- 6:06different word. So I simply I never thought
- 6:08about this before this sorry, around Miller's question.
- 6:10And I always thought it was actually that I always thought,
- 6:13yeah, Hashem infuses in a bunch of different bodies the same
- 6:16concept of a part of him as a soul and we all function in
- 6:19different ways. What the Ram Miller says is very
- 6:21important. That's not correct.
- 6:24Every person has a very different makeup.
- 6:29That makeup, you want to call it body, you want to call it soul,
- 6:32call what you want. That makeup, he says, is a
- 6:36different kind of soul, a different kind of essence.
- 6:39So Hashem created me. He made me with a certain makeup
- 6:44that's a combination of body and soul.
- 6:45It only comes out when you see that combination together.
- 6:49God gave me, obviously a part of Him, which is the soul part into
- 6:53my body. But really what that is, is it's
- 6:54a makeup that's unique, that's a combination of body and soul.
- 6:58When the soul hits the body, this outcome comes out, he says,
- 7:02and it's a whole different essence between you and I.
- 7:04This is the answer with the Rabos saying DNA, huh?
- 7:07We call DNA, but it's not a physical thing.
- 7:09It's an actually a spiritual DNA.
- 7:11That's exactly what it is. It's an individual DNA, a
- 7:15spiritual one that God sees only through the combination of body
- 7:19and soul only comes alive when you combine these two.
- 7:22It's true that the body alone has a bunch of chemicals.
- 7:24It's true, it's a physical thing, but the body comes alive.
- 7:27It becomes its essence when you make this combination and it
- 7:30becomes its own kind. That is the point that he has
- 7:34and here's why he's a such a key point.
- 7:36The reason it's so key, he says, is because people often type,
- 7:41people often times try to change themselves.
- 7:44All right, come into the Mountain View, people try to
- 7:49change themselves. There are two different ways of
- 7:51changing yourself, and this is fundamental.
- 7:54One way of changing is I'm a guy with a lot of energy.
- 7:59I try to dole down my energy. Good idea, a bad idea, bad idea.
- 8:07Another way of change is if I'm a guy with a lot of energy and I
- 8:11tried to utilize my energy for strength.
- 8:12Let me give you a better example.
- 8:15How many of you are a person who is a strong person, strong
- 8:17minded person, right? One way that person tries to,
- 8:21you know, he doesn't like the fact that he's strong minded and
- 8:23he's getting into fights and he's getting into disputes and
- 8:25he's having he always very strong.
- 8:27So he tries to say, look at the other guy, He never gets upset.
- 8:31He's always calm. I want to be that way.
- 8:34Let me change myself. And he tries to work on himself
- 8:37to calm himself down, which is a good mindset to have.
- 8:40Try to calm yourself down. Ray Miller's point is this.
- 8:44Giman's point is you have a certain combination of body and
- 8:48soul that makes you you. And you try as much as you want.
- 8:52You will not become that soft guy.
- 8:55It won't happen. So what do you do?
- 8:57What you do instead is you try to guide and aim your strengths,
- 9:04your unique elements, and aim them toward the good.
- 9:09And that he says yes. It doesn't mean that you're not
- 9:12trying to end fights. When you aim your strength and
- 9:15your strong willed mentality toward more good, that'll lead
- 9:19to you spending so much time and so much focus on doing good with
- 9:22your strong will. You won't be as busy with
- 9:25fights, but you're not going to be not fighting simply because
- 9:28you calm yourself down to make you Mr. Softy.
- 9:30You're not going to come, Mr. Softy.
- 9:31It's never going to happen. But instead, this is his point
- 9:34and this is the guy's point. You put the combination
- 9:36together, the body and the soul with the right frame of mind and
- 9:40you utilize it for the strengths.
- 9:42The people around us and ourselves.
- 9:45Often we wish this change. We wish the people around us
- 9:48would change one thing. We wish ourselves we changed
- 9:50something. We cannot change our DNA, we
- 9:54can't change our overall mentality, but we can change is
- 9:58how we utilize it. A person can be a stubborn
- 10:01person, stubborn, A stubborn, a good thing or a bad thing, good,
- 10:05bad and good at the same time. Binet is referred to as Amke
- 10:09Sheharif. They referred to as stubborn,
- 10:12which is both a good thing and a bad thing.
- 10:13It led to the Heta Egel, but it's also what helped the Jewish
- 10:18people survived and remain intact through all the different
- 10:24issues that they dealt with. Stubborn and strong willed,
- 10:27which is basically in certain sense connected.
- 10:29They can be utilized as a horrible thing.
- 10:32Jews are stubborn neck people. He meant both good and bad at
- 10:35the same time. He meant you related to bad but
- 10:37also good. Some of the greatest people I
- 10:40know were extremely stubborn, but they also have a good.
- 10:45They were so stubborn, but they utilized it only for certain
- 10:47areas that they cared about. They weren't stubborn about, Oh
- 10:50my gosh, I need to eat meat on Wednesday nights.
- 10:52I can't function if I'm very one word, right.
- 10:55They weren't stubborn at all. Oh my goodness, so and so
- 10:57certain things I need to have, You know, I have the right seat.
- 11:01I need to have the right temperature on these things.
- 11:02It was stubborn about the things that they cared about.
- 11:05If you realize your strengths, which by the way, every one of
- 11:08us have a double edged sword in our existence.
- 11:11I'm a passive guy by nature, shy guy by nature.
- 11:15If I allow that to be my way then I can be very bad.
- 11:19I can make major mistakes with being passive.
- 11:22A passive person allows things to go and let's things fly and
- 11:26at times can allow, even with the norm selves, the wrong
- 11:32things to fly. Passive can actually be
- 11:34beautiful and it can be a very destructive.
- 11:38Every one of us has in our existence of DNA a double edged
- 11:43sword and the goal is not to try to dull that sword.
- 11:47You try to dull it, you try to soften it.
- 11:50You're going to try to put yourself into someone else's
- 11:52existence and it doesn't work. What the commander is telling
- 11:55you, this idea of combining body and soul with God is looking at
- 11:58saying, what is this guy's overall makeup?
- 12:00How does it come out? And his body, I don't really
- 12:03care about his body. Everyone's body is a physical
- 12:06thing. What I care about is what comes
- 12:08out of this person. Take a very, very classic
- 12:11example. Is sensitive people sensitive?
- 12:15You ever notice? Think about it.
- 12:17The word sensitive AS2 means guy has a sensitive nature.
- 12:23It could mean he's often insultive.
- 12:26Sensitive means anything you say to them the wrong way, you rub
- 12:28them the wrong way, they're upset, they're all for a day.
- 12:31Sensitive also means that they pick up on other people's
- 12:35feelings. He recognizes other people
- 12:37getting. Hurt.
- 12:38So compassionate. It really can be compassionate
- 12:40as well, and I've found all the time something surprising.
- 12:43I found that very often the same person has both strengths.
- 12:49They have the fact that anything you say to them, they can read
- 12:52the wrong way, but they also have the fact that they can pick
- 12:56up on other people what they're feeling, what they're doing,
- 12:59same person. I always wondered, is it just
- 13:02because in English vocabulary we have to utilize that same word
- 13:05and the same person has both strengths and weakness or
- 13:08empathy? They have sort of a raw nature.
- 13:11Such people have a raw nature. Raw.
- 13:14What I mean is they're very open to the world.
- 13:17So at the same time, anything that comes to them hits them at
- 13:20the heart and also anything they witness hits them at the heart.
- 13:24For the positive, it's the same person.
- 13:26I've seen this over and over again.
- 13:28Or you can have a person who with a certain sense kind of
- 13:32cold, cold means they just doesn't really bothers them.
- 13:37So with one hand, you say something to them that does
- 13:40offease them. It doesn't hurt them.
- 13:43You ignore them. I know some rabbis, you know, I
- 13:45know some rabbis are both ways. Some rabbis are extremely
- 13:47sensitive, but they also can get the pulse of the community like
- 13:50no one else. Some rabbis who are in a certain
- 13:52sense, they never get insulted. You could not get them, but aha,
- 13:56you can ignore them. You can dig and walk into a room
- 13:59and no one recognizes them. They don't care.
- 14:01At the same time, same time, they may not have the greatest
- 14:05sense. When someone sits down with them
- 14:07and says I'm dealing with this, I'm dealing with that.
- 14:09The other thing, because they don't really care.
- 14:11They say, I'm not saying you're dealing with basic things.
- 14:13What's bothering you? The same person, strength and
- 14:16weakness. And the job is to emphasize the
- 14:19strength and therefore get away with the weakness.
- 14:21You know, I always think about my father in this way.
- 14:23I said stubborn before, and father in nature was one of the
- 14:26most stubborn people in a certain sense that I ever knew.
- 14:29In a certain sense, he was very stubborn.
- 14:30In a certain sense, everything was fine.
- 14:33Nothing bothered him. So he was stubborn and certain
- 14:35things that he valued and he didn't care less, but certain
- 14:39things they didn't value. And that's really has the way it
- 14:42has to be a lot of great people out that way.
- 14:44They emphasize with their physical their DNA strength.
- 14:49They put more effort on A and they therefore care less about
- 14:54the negative side. And when Hashem is saying, when
- 14:57the rabbi is saying that God combines the two together, what
- 15:00God is looking for is what does the combination which develops
- 15:05into a specific DNA. Where's the outcome is the
- 15:08outcome to the bed was this DNA outcome to include Because every
- 15:13one of us, whether it be hot headed, whether it be, you know,
- 15:17very strong, whether it be very soft, it'd be very nice, or it'd
- 15:22be very tough, stubborn, easygoing.
- 15:25All these different traits can be utilized for beautiful
- 15:29strengths or can be utilized for great weaknesses.
- 15:32The classic example of my favorite example of this concept
- 15:36is the fact that many people who have ridiculous values in this
- 15:39country today, many of them, it came and comes from a good
- 15:44place, which means deep down they may get confused by now,
- 15:48but deep down, somewhere along the line in certain they say I'm
- 15:52compassionate, I feel good for others, I feel bad when they
- 15:55have pain. I can't see little chosen in
- 15:58Gaza starving. And before you know it, they
- 16:01developed this mentality that includes hate, fighting,
- 16:06protesting, yelling and screaming all in the name of
- 16:10love. How'd that come out?
- 16:12Some way deep down they might have had maybe their sketch, but
- 16:15is every a part of them that has some level of compassion?
- 16:19And you show them enough videos and clips of kids starving in
- 16:23Gaza, you get them crazy. Take it to extreme 'cause you
- 16:26can be compassionate all you want, but if you don't have any
- 16:29incentive compassion, it can go the wrong way.
- 16:32That's how it works for a person has a very unique individual
- 16:35DNA. The job is to utilize it for
- 16:39strengths. And the other point is this, a
- 16:41lot of times the people around us, we think the following
- 16:44thought, this is about ourselves.
- 16:47How about the people around us, we say, I love them, they're
- 16:50great, but only they could just get away without one trait.
- 16:54Many people have this with their wives and their spouses.
- 16:56It's a common thing with their children.
- 16:59You know, they're very, very highly motivated, but there's so
- 17:02much energy. I wish I could calm down energy.
- 17:03I remember thinking about this with my son this year, this past
- 17:08year, Thank God. You might see by now my second
- 17:11son's got loads of energy. I'm talking about a lot of
- 17:14energy. And I was thinking of time, you
- 17:16know, and he calmed down a little bit, like, you know, it's
- 17:18a lot. She's always running and jumping
- 17:20and yelling, screaming, things fun.
- 17:22He does it very quick and smart. Thank God he's got a lot of
- 17:25energy. And then he got mono, and he got
- 17:28mono for a kid mono. And he was like a lump on a log.
- 17:32He cannot move off the couch for a week.
- 17:34It's only a week, but he couldn't move for a week.
- 17:37And during that week, I said to myself, I said I should stop
- 17:40thinking those original thoughts.
- 17:42Let him have as much energy as he wants, even if it means he's
- 17:45going to sit on top of that fireplace during praying over
- 17:47here and chew. Even if it means that, and even
- 17:49if it means me to run up and down all these things.
- 17:52And yeah, Chala, you know, he uses all for the good.
- 17:55But while he's in this mode, I don't have that energy.
- 17:58And sometimes it's going to rear its head this way.
- 18:00Sometimes it's going to rear its head the other way.
- 18:02A lot of times people do themselves.
- 18:03I wish the people in my family, they're great, they're caring,
- 18:06they're wonderful, but they have this certain trait with that
- 18:09overall DNA that just bothered me a little too much.
- 18:12Wish I would. They're very sensitive to my
- 18:14needs, but those are so sensitive to their own needs.
- 18:16Wish that they didn't have to be such a thing.
- 18:18But the reality is, if you wish for someone show it to not be
- 18:22that way, understand what comes along with what comes along with
- 18:26it always is that they're not that way completely.
- 18:30And often times they lose their they lose their strengths along
- 18:34with their weaknesses. Of course, we hope for everybody
- 18:37to put more emphasis on the strong side than the weak side,
- 18:42but don't try to believe that so and so should drop their DNA,
- 18:46because if they do, they're going to drop their overall DNA
- 18:50and they won't be the people you like.
- 18:52That's part of the makeup of people.
- 18:54That's what I got from Miller's explanation.
- 18:57All of us come right out that when God combines body and soul
- 19:00is not physically the body and soul.
- 19:02It's rather God develops and looks at the overall DNA and
- 19:05then says where they put more emphasis with that DNA, more
- 19:09emphasis on doing good or my emphasis is doing bad.
- 19:13Aggressive people. Do you like aggressive people?
- 19:15Yes, you do. If I hire a worker, I need to be
- 19:18aggressive. If I have a worker, if I have a
- 19:20business and hire a worker that came late or left early, I
- 19:25didn't make the extra phone call.
- 19:27I didn't push it a little harder.
- 19:28I didn't lose my mind because I would do that personally.
- 19:31And I like to work very hard. So I don't like my workers, Huh.
- 19:35Maybe they get it done the other way, but I don't like workers.
- 19:38I do not stand there. I don't like workers that that
- 19:41do have less drive than I have 'cause I have had personally
- 19:44very never stop Drive is my nature.
- 19:48OK, So I like aggressive people in that way.
- 19:50Aggressive people are also never stop work.
- 19:53My nature is and I drive is not stopping, not stop doing things,
- 19:56doing doing whatever. But aggressive people at the
- 19:59same time also at times can be impossible to deal with.
- 20:03There's just too much and maybe they they're trying to cut
- 20:06around you or maybe they're trying to get too far ahead in
- 20:08the company too fast. You become abusive to people.
- 20:11They can easily be. You said your your personalities
- 20:13are more passive. Yeah, I'm not aggressive.
- 20:16I'm very strange. I'm.
- 20:17Personally aggressive. I didn't mean it that way.
- 20:19Oh, it's true. I actually am, personally.
- 20:20You're on his own. In reality, I am your
- 20:23conversation. I'm very passive.
- 20:25Whatever someone says to me comes where I I don't care about
- 20:27these things. When it comes to doing certain
- 20:30things, you know, behind the scenes, I am very, let's call it
- 20:35hard on myself in a certain sense.
- 20:37I push myself like crazy when it comes to the show.
- 20:40I push to an extreme, but it's very aggressive.
- 20:43It's my nature. I don't know where it came from.
- 20:44I don't know. Maybe it's from my father, my
- 20:47mother. I don't know where it came from.
- 20:48Combination of both. Something my grandfather and
- 20:51mother's father, Charles Rio, it's there.
- 20:53It's all over the place in the family, but there's this sort of
- 20:56nature. My all my siblings have it.
- 20:57You all have an extremely a certain sense.
- 20:59You might call it drive that you want to call it aggressive, but
- 21:02they have this way at the same time you have a conversation
- 21:05with them. You'll never show up.
- 21:07Go and see a word of it. It's all the same combination,
- 21:09never has a different way. So for me, you know, you have a
- 21:13conversation with a guy. I don't care what he says.
- 21:14I don't care what happens. I don't care.
- 21:17But at the same time, I'm a highly motivated, maybe one of
- 21:20the most highly the only person you met, the most highly
- 21:23motivated person alive. You met him on your trip.
- 21:26Yes, after I buy for sure, but the.
- 21:29Most highly motivated. Person, but he's unique in that
- 21:31way and he's unique, but he uses it.
- 21:33Thank God for strength, but a person can have that same and
- 21:36that's. I always say then about Hannah
- 21:38actually is that he has the business mentality.
- 21:41You know, he you know, and he utilized it for the strengths.
- 21:44That's what I meant with here's the shit you don't find
- 21:46typically people who grow up as rabbis.
- 21:48They have a different sort of structure than that he's.
- 21:50Raymond Bate is very similar like that.
- 21:52It could be they have a business mind.
- 21:54A lot of people are under. They know what you're.
- 21:55Thinking as you're thinking it. My point is, is that it's
- 22:03certain unique thing. Your point is that the same way
- 22:05a person got that same element and be impossible to deal with
- 22:10because they're so highly aggressive and you have to
- 22:12figure out how to guide these whatever our makeup is tower
- 22:18utilizing for strengths. Any guy that built any
- 22:21institution in this community. Anyone that built anything in
- 22:23this community has a makeup that if you is the wrong way.
- 22:28So annoying to be around. So how do you say where if
- 22:32someone has a tremendous like this, anger is one of a temper
- 22:36like a temper there's no good that comes from.
- 22:38A temper. So a good point.
- 22:38So I went to the first. Time I could say you got to, but
- 22:42yeah, you got to look into your actions before you do it.
- 22:44Exactly. So the truth is even a temper
- 22:46has a core and the core is not anger.
- 22:50The core is very hot, which means they get very energized
- 22:54and very, I call frustrated or whatever is very fast.
- 22:58That's what the temper is that that actually the core of it is
- 23:03a strength. The second book, I learned this
- 23:05specifically of the ocean in that book, yeah, I'll assure
- 23:09what it says is, is that a person at the core of every even
- 23:14weak nature is a strength. There.
- 23:17Anger itself is a bad thing, clearly a bad thing.
- 23:21But the core of it, core of cuss might be from someone who's very
- 23:26alive and very strong and very, you know, very jumpy.
- 23:30And there can be the strength there too.
- 23:32That's really the mindset every single meta person has or there
- 23:37would be. Even frustration alone is not a
- 23:39good thing. But frustration has a core.
- 23:41And that core also is similar to anger.
- 23:43It's more life, it's more alert, it's more reactionary.
- 23:46In a certain sense, reactionary is a good thing.
- 23:48In a certain sense, it's a weak thing.
- 23:50Every part of us. Now, what do you do with this?
- 23:53What you do is try to utilize and be involved in good things.
- 23:58You have your makeup, you know, evolve yourself.
- 24:00A good thing is you try to think what Hashem wants and then you
- 24:04channel. All these natures have the
- 24:06world. One of my least favorite
- 24:08concepts in Judaism. That's what people believe.
- 24:11And because everyone's got to be religious, which is understood,
- 24:15people believe that the cookie cutter way is the way to go.
- 24:20I can't stand that. Definitely not.
- 24:21I can't stand the imagination of a picture of a room of everyone
- 24:26looking the same. Why not?
- 24:28Because what culture would you have the same, what developed
- 24:31Zachariah? What development would you have?
- 24:34Think about this community, think about this shoe or any
- 24:36shoe. Think about the color that comes
- 24:38out from one guy doing this and the other guy doing that.
- 24:42Even the different values. Also OK for this mindset, you
- 24:47don't want anyone to have, you know, lack of belief or the
- 24:49wrong belief, but you don't want everyone to have the exact same
- 24:54prayer of mind. I have to have a core directive
- 24:57and the way of. Thinking the same thing in
- 24:59business. Yeah, I have two partners that
- 25:01think identical. 1000 might as well not have a partner. 1000%
- 25:03there's nothing to it. You need to have a Ying and a
- 25:07Yang. You need to have things going
- 25:08different ways and if anyone to believe that based on a we
- 25:12follow the same Tara and the same gardens and the same
- 25:14rabbis, that definitely means we should have the same makeup is
- 25:18not understanding why God created you and me.
- 25:21He created you and me because it's something you provide and I
- 25:23provided all of us. And that is this idea of
- 25:26individual identity, and that is a Torah's version of
- 25:29individuality. You know, people thinking
- 25:32individuality in America today means I have the individual, so
- 25:35I need purple hair. No, an individual means let me
- 25:38be my core self. Don't change yourself.
- 25:41That's making up your own individuality.
- 25:44Let me remain myself and just express it the right way and
- 25:48bring it out for the right purposes, and I can change the
- 25:50world. That's really how the world
- 25:52works, that's how life works, and God wants to see the
- 25:55combination of that body and the soul.
- 25:57When the DNA comes to life, what comes out?
- 26:01Every single medar a person has can be used for strength or can
- 26:05be used for weakness. Everyone aggressive, passive,
- 26:09stubborn, strong, angry, funny, everything can be used for
- 26:16strength, be used for weakness. And don't try to imagine
- 26:19yourself as a different person or try to imagine the people
- 26:23around you as different people. They are who they are.
- 26:26You're never going to change their DNA.
- 26:28All we have. So we're channeling for shrinks.
- 26:31That's the idea. But you could.
