- Lucas: Hei, and welcome back to Learn Norwegian with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Ready for another tiny lesson? Lucas: Always. In our last episode, we learned 'å gi' — to give. Today, we're going to learn another common verb: 'å kjøpe'. Luna: Å kjøpe? That sounds like something I like doing. Lucas: It means 'to buy'. So whenever you're shopping, you'll use this verb a lot. Luna: Nice. So how do I say 'I buy'? Lucas: Jeg kjøper. Listen again: jeg kjøper. Luna: Jeg kjøper. Jeg kjøper. Lucas: Perfect. Now, if you want to ask 'Can I buy...?' you say 'Kan jeg kjøpe...'. Luna: Kan jeg kjøpe... For example, 'Kan jeg kjøpe en kaffe?' Lucas: Exactly. 'Can I buy a coffee?' Very useful. Luna: I'll be using that a lot. Lucas: And if someone asks you 'Hva kjøper du?' — 'What are you buying?' — you can answer with 'Jeg kjøper...' Luna: Hva kjøper du? That's a good question to know. Lucas: Let's practice a short dialogue. Say I'm at a shop and I ask you: 'Hva kjøper du?' Luna: Jeg kjøper en gave. I'm buying a gift. Lucas: Great! You can also say 'Jeg kjøper en bok' — I'm buying a book. Luna: Jeg kjøper en bok. And if I want to ask 'Can I buy a ticket?' Lucas: That would be 'Kan jeg kjøpe en billett?'
