Blue-Green Algae Alert at Lake Weir | Gainesville News
Blue-green algae is showing up in Lake Weir — and it’s not just a pretty sight. This toxic bloom can irritate your skin, make you sick if swallowed, and even harm pets and livestock. The Florida Department of Health is testing the water right now, so stay out if you see scum, foam, or a funky smell. Wash off any contact with soap and water, and keep animals away. Stay alert and safe near the lake. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
