- 0:00Hey sis, welcome to Girl Date the Good Guy podcast, the space where we strip
- 0:04away the noise and get real about toxic cycles, healing, and stepping into the love God has for us.
- 0:10I'm your host, Emily Jordan, and I've been where you are, heartbroken,
- 0:14confused, and chasing love that didn't come,
- 0:23Hey sis, heartbreak can leave us feeling downright, empty, rejected,
- 0:29or even questioning our worth.
- 0:31It's like carrying a weight on your chest that you didn't ask for.
- 0:35And if we're honest, sometimes heartbreak makes us wonder if real love is even
- 0:42possible for us. But here's the good news.
- 0:45God never designed for your story to end in heartbreak.
- 0:50He designed you to be cherished, honored, and protected in love.
- 0:55So today, let's talk about what God really intends for women in a healthy,
- 1:01godly relationship and why that matters for your healing and your future.
- 1:07Heartbreak doesn't just break your heart. It shakes your identity.
- 1:12It makes you feel empty, like life has lost its color, rejected,
- 1:17wondering if you weren't enough,
- 1:21Confused, replaying what went wrong Lonely, not just missing the person But
- 1:26the safety of being loved.
- 1:28But here's the thing. God can take those very feelings and use them to remind
- 1:34you your worth never depended on who left or who mistreated you, but on who created you.
- 1:43So what does godly love look like? Let's go straight to the word.
- 1:48In Ephesians 5.25, it says, a man should love his wife as Christ loved the church.
- 1:56That's sacrificial, patient, and unconditional love.
- 2:01In 1 Peter 3.7 calls men to honor women as equal hairs of grace.
- 2:07That means no belittling, no harshness, only respect.
- 2:12And in Proverbs 31, it celebrates a woman who thrives, and the right man will
- 2:19never dim her light, but encourage her to shine.
- 2:23Sis, you are not meant to be tolerated, controlled, or diminished.
- 2:28You are meant to be cherished, protected, and uplifted.
- 2:32Let me paint this picture. Imagine yourself as a garden. God planted you with
- 2:38beauty, gifts, and purpose.
- 2:40When the wrong man comes along, he tramples on your soil, neglects your needs,
- 2:45or strips away what makes you flourish.
- 2:48But the good guy, the one that God has for you, he knows he's not the owner
- 2:53of the garden. He's just the gardener.
- 2:56His role is to protect, nourish, and celebrate what's already inside of you.
- 3:02He doesn't take credit for your growth. He thanks God for the privilege of walking alongside it.
- 3:08That's love as God designed it. A safe place where you can bloom.
- 3:14If you're listening today with a broken heart, I want you to know,
- 3:18heartbreak is not the end of your story.
- 3:20It's the soil where God can plant something new.
- 3:24Healing is possible, discernment is possible, and godly love is possible.
- 3:31I know. I know this firsthand, sis.
- 3:34So don't settle for a man who tramples the garden of your heart.
- 3:39Wait for the one who tends it with gentleness, patience, and Christ-like love.
- 3:45If this encouraged you today, share it with a friend who needs the reminder
- 3:49that she is worthy of Christ-centered love.
