A Massachusetts state trooper’s life was tragically cut short in a head-on collision caused by a drunk driver who’d consumed nine alcoholic drinks before heading the wrong way on Route 1. The driver, Hernan Marrero, tested with a BAC of 0.192—double the legal limit—and was also on antidepressants. He’d been served drinks after hours at Tribu Mexican Kitchen, which faces liquor violations but no criminal charges.
