- 0:00Speaker 1: I'll start Toyota Presents off the bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn. Let's let's go from a championship backfield
- 0:07Speaker 1: to your morning drive.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Han's day, Hester and Hester got it, Fata.
- 0:13Speaker 1: You're locked in to off the bench to throw live
- 0:20Speaker 1: from the raising Kine studio. Here's Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:55Speaker 3: J Y, Should I say out you okay.
- 1:07Speaker 4: With her buddy respectfully? No, I just gotta laugh though it.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Oh no, it's not even anything about sports. I know,
- 1:19Speaker 4: I know, I know. I'm sorry, Bud. You know, forty
- 1:23Speaker 4: comes for everybody. It's gonna start to show out by saying,
- 1:26Speaker 4: you know, hurt my back this weekend. Then it feels
- 1:30Speaker 4: absolutely surgical. Got a new chair, brought this one out
- 1:39Speaker 4: of storage, got a little bit more wider bass.
- 1:43Speaker 2: He's down bad, y'all. We're gonna get through this together. Though.
- 1:49Speaker 4: We're gonna be all right. Sitting on a throw pillow
- 1:52Speaker 4: right now, Thanks Brian. I didn't even ask him. He
- 1:59Speaker 4: went to the bathroom. I went in when his officing
- 2:00Speaker 4: took it. Well, anyway, we heard back this week, moving
- 2:06Speaker 4: Christmas trees, getting him out of storage. Yeah, I couldn't,
- 2:11Speaker 4: couldn't recruit any of my children to help me. So
- 2:13Speaker 4: we had to do it on our own. Man, I
- 2:16Speaker 4: don't know. Slipped the disc, slipped the spine. I don't
- 2:20Speaker 4: know what I did. I got scoliosis.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Now you just I don't know. If you just do
- 2:30Speaker 2: the show, I'm gonna be honest.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Moments like this, you just realize how fragile life is. Yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 4: sports seems a little less important.
- 2:43Speaker 2: What day did we do this? Because he didn't say
- 2:45Speaker 2: anything about it.
- 2:46Speaker 4: This was Saturday, and it's progressive progressively, just gotten worse
- 2:51Speaker 4: throughout the weekend.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, it's been good. I should have probably rested.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We didn't know. We did a little bit. Yeah, wrestle
- 3:00Speaker 2: a little bit. Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Kids don't really care though. Yeah, he'll jump on you.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Yeah anyway, we're we're okay. Man, How are you doing
- 3:11Speaker 4: all right?
- 3:12Speaker 5: Better than you? Apparently better than you. Yeah, tripped over
- 3:18Speaker 5: to Tescal Loosia this weekend. Yeah, yeahs the whole ball game.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I wasn't Yeah. Yeah, we'll break it down, we'll talk
- 3:26Speaker 2: about it.
- 3:26Speaker 4: We'll dabble some good, not enough good, some bad enough bad,
- 3:36Speaker 4: plenty plenty of bad. But you know, there was some good.
- 3:40Speaker 4: There was some good.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, certainly defensively. Yeah. There was a lot of good
- 3:45Speaker 2: about another team too. Yeah, well by a couple of players,
- 3:49Speaker 2: for sure.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, any who's we'll get there Saints one.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that's cool. Yeah, that's why we started with
- 3:57Speaker 2: thes and not the nothing knows. I know they did
- 4:02Speaker 2: they did good. Yeah, they did good. Panthers.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Carolina the only place good against good teams. I
- 4:13Speaker 5: don't know how that happens, but it does. How do
- 4:15Speaker 5: you feel about the Like if you're if you're the Panthers,
- 4:17Speaker 5: how do you feel about that loss?
- 4:19Speaker 2: After?
- 4:19Speaker 4: Like you gotta winning record, you're kind of like feeling
- 4:22Speaker 4: a little cocky. Just beat the Packers and Lambeau. Then
- 4:26Speaker 4: you lose to the Saints, Like, how do you feel
- 4:28Speaker 4: about that? Because you probably knew this whole time you
- 4:30Speaker 4: weren't that good?
- 4:32Speaker 5: Yeah the Panther, Oh yeah, we winning some games, we're
- 4:34Speaker 5: pulling them out, but we know that we're not that good. Like,
- 4:37Speaker 5: how disappointed are you after losing to the Saints. It's
- 4:40Speaker 5: gotta be it's bad because your other well, I guess
- 4:45Speaker 5: you did lose to the Cardinals, so I was gonna
- 4:46Speaker 5: say you like your other losses were to the Bills
- 4:49Speaker 5: and to the Patriots, and so you know, you probably like, Okay,
- 4:52Speaker 5: well we'll lose to the good teams, but we'll beat
- 4:56Speaker 5: the bad teams. But when you lose to a one
- 4:58Speaker 5: win team who at the time was one and eight,
- 5:00Speaker 5: probably don't feel great now, I can't. You know, we'll
- 5:04Speaker 5: find a way. We'll find a way to get there
- 5:05Speaker 5: and talk about.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That through through the back pain.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Good luck, good luck with me today, land Elandra, Glad
- 5:15Speaker 5: you showed up.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought you were You're gonna be here.
- 5:19Speaker 6: It was hard for me to get out of it. Yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 6: I mean I was wrapped up in them blankets. It
- 5:25Speaker 6: was not going anywhere for a minute.
- 5:28Speaker 7: But yeah, I just put on his jacket and made
- 5:30Speaker 7: my way over here. Anyway. You know, the cold makes
- 5:35Speaker 7: like my bones hurt really bad. So I just I don't.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Know, y'all do know it's not that cold, right?
- 5:42Speaker 7: It is cold though.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Yeah, we don't hear nothing. We we all have been
- 5:48Speaker 6: here down well. I've only been in the South my
- 5:51Speaker 6: entire life, so this is cold to me.
- 5:55Speaker 7: This is too much for.
- 5:57Speaker 2: My only anybody who's only lived in Texas.
- 6:01Speaker 7: I've never lived anywhere else.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's forty something, right.
- 6:06Speaker 7: Right, Yeah, like thirty all right, it's pretty colder. The
- 6:12Speaker 7: feel like temp is thirty. That's cold created the feel
- 6:15Speaker 7: like temp. What is it wind chill?
- 6:17Speaker 2: That's a good a good question.
- 6:19Speaker 7: So it's a wind chill, that's what they call it.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Sounds question for my buddy.
- 6:23Speaker 8: But it feels like thirty. Okay, well why can't we
- 6:26Speaker 8: just call it thirty? It feels like it.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Because the wind is what's making it feel like it's thirty.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well how do you calculate that? That's what I'm saying, Like,
- 6:35Speaker 2: feels like it's science.
- 6:37Speaker 7: Like, dang, it feels like it's thirty.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Going to get broken out here, Like when you turn
- 6:42Speaker 4: your fan on in your bedroom, it gets cooler, right,
- 6:45Speaker 4: But it's just circulating the same temperature air. It's not
- 6:48Speaker 4: making the air any cooler. So if it's seventy degrees,
- 6:52Speaker 4: it's just circulated seventy degree air.
- 6:55Speaker 7: But it feels colder.
- 6:56Speaker 2: This the movie, I know it feels colder. It's kind
- 6:58Speaker 2: of the same principle.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good that's a good thought.
- 7:03Speaker 2: This is this is a question for my buddy.
- 7:04Speaker 8: Chatching Like the feels like that is considered so professional
- 7:08Speaker 8: that like weather channels use.
- 7:10Speaker 7: It because it was wind chill, and now we just
- 7:13Speaker 7: say it feels like. I'm pretty sure.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You are throwing a lot of science. I just want
- 7:20Speaker 2: to know what the temperature is. Forty degrees cold? But
- 7:26Speaker 2: is it cold? Is it warm? Or is it hot? Yeah,
- 7:29Speaker 2: that's my three gauges cold. We're looking this up. We're
- 7:35Speaker 2: gonna get to the bottom. How are we doing before
- 7:38Speaker 2: we get to the bottom of this?
- 7:40Speaker 8: We're doing good. I actually look up feeling good. I
- 7:43Speaker 8: normally don't like the cold weather, but you know what,
- 7:45Speaker 8: it was hot this summer. This is a nice change
- 7:47Speaker 8: for a little bit. I'll probably eventually get sick of it,
- 7:51Speaker 8: since we're just now dipping into the cold. I actually
- 7:53Speaker 8: don't mind it the first time, like ever.
- 7:57Speaker 2: No, it's great. I love this time.
- 8:00Speaker 5: This is the first time I think we've been in
- 8:01Speaker 5: here where all of our teams have won except at
- 8:04Speaker 5: so we.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Can you know a point of him and laugh and it's true.
- 8:08Speaker 2: My team's to night.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Where did this celebration come from?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Cam Ward started that right, hold on, kim Ward
- 8:17Speaker 2: did it.
- 8:18Speaker 8: Jackson Dart did it yesterday when he scored everybody.
- 8:21Speaker 7: Everybody's started for those on radio. I put my hand
- 8:24Speaker 7: over my nose and say, what is it?
- 8:27Speaker 2: I don't know. Caim Ward started doing it last year
- 8:29Speaker 2: in Miami.
- 8:30Speaker 5: If I had to guess, Hester Boys, Hester Boys, Hey,
- 8:34Speaker 5: listen up, you are listening. Yeah, are in the car?
- 8:38Speaker 5: You should be at least what is that celebration?
- 8:41Speaker 2: Hit me up? Let me know. I know what.
- 8:43Speaker 7: Do y'all know?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what y'all knows for sure?
- 8:45Speaker 7: How it originated with cam Ward?
- 8:47Speaker 2: That's I'm pretty sure he's the first one to do it.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Yeah, can we get Cam on the phone and ask him?
- 8:54Speaker 2: He should be watching tape.
- 8:56Speaker 8: I was about to say, unfortunately, Cam is not doing
- 8:58Speaker 8: that celebration a ton this year.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's very Yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 4: If I had to just like look at it and guess,
- 9:05Speaker 4: like I played like guess and I'm not say it's
- 9:07Speaker 4: like an elephant.
- 9:10Speaker 2: No, that's you're thinking way too old and white for that.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I was thinking like ew maybe yeah.
- 9:18Speaker 5: MC Yeah, I know it's good. But you got a
- 9:27Speaker 5: lot of questions here to start the show. We got
- 9:30Speaker 5: to figure them out. We get to the bottom of it.
- 9:32Speaker 5: We got to get our got healthy over here as well.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It ain't gonna be today, buddy.
- 9:37Speaker 4: We guys got to fight through it. I guess what.
- 9:39Speaker 4: It took me about twelve minutes. I walked the stairs.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Didn't take the elevator. You don't take the elevator in
- 9:45Speaker 4: a four story building.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I had a tight grip on that handrail too, just
- 9:50Speaker 5: real tight in case you take a step and the
- 9:52Speaker 5: pain went through the hamstrings and you just came tumbling down.
- 9:56Speaker 7: Let one of us know before you came up the stairs.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Why filmed it?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Because I have done the twelve minute walk when my
- 10:09Speaker 2: back was jacked up to mm hmm. All right, Well,
- 10:14Speaker 2: we asked a lot of questions, didn't get any answers
- 10:17Speaker 2: during that first segment. We'll come back, we'll start to
- 10:21Speaker 2: break down lsu.
- 10:22Speaker 5: Bama Saints did get a dub, so that is exciting.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I guess are we excited about it? I know draft
- 10:31Speaker 2: picks the whole deal.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I know that's the thing. I was watching it. I
- 10:33Speaker 4: was like, do we want to win this game? I
- 10:35Speaker 4: don't know.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I'm so confused.
- 10:37Speaker 5: All right, we will step away more OTB when we
- 10:40Speaker 5: come back here live from the Raisin King Studio.

- 14:04Speaker 4: all the B vitamins that you can also get, some

- 14:11Speaker 4: immune function.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Come on, this is the time of the year, so
- 14:14Speaker 2: go see them.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Get vitaminized, get hydrated, go flow IV all right, before
- 14:18Speaker 5: we get into maybe the nitty gritty and go over
- 14:21Speaker 5: certain plays and certain moments in the game. We all
- 14:23Speaker 5: know by this point Alabama twenty LSU nine, and you
- 14:27Speaker 5: didn't score a touchdown. You settled for a bunch of
- 14:30Speaker 5: field goals, and there was times where you know, you
- 14:33Speaker 5: played inspired certainly that looked a little bit different.
- 14:37Speaker 2: The defense, my goodness.
- 14:38Speaker 5: I mean, how many bad situations could they have been
- 14:40Speaker 5: put in and found a way every time but one
- 14:43Speaker 5: situation to come out on the other end of it.
- 14:46Speaker 2: But you know, still not good enough.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Obviously, that's why you lose a football game offensively. And
- 14:52Speaker 5: we're gonna spend a lot of time on it today,
- 14:55Speaker 5: just it's just not there.
- 14:57Speaker 2: And well we'll you know, pick.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Out individual players and stuff whatever, but just as a whole,
- 15:04Speaker 5: like when you watch it, there's not a lot of answers.
- 15:07Speaker 5: So whatever the test is, I don't know what answers
- 15:12Speaker 5: to give who's on the field to try to pass
- 15:14Speaker 5: the test, and so we'll get to that point.
- 15:17Speaker 2: But just overall, maybe.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Thoughts of the game how it went, maybe what you
- 15:23Speaker 5: expected to see to what you saw.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Certainly a disappointed outcome from the game. Defensively, I saw
- 15:38Speaker 4: a much improved team defensive unit from the last couple
- 15:42Speaker 4: of weeks.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, a team.
- 15:44Speaker 4: That played, you know, I thought that the team, the
- 15:46Speaker 4: effort and everything was there.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Of course, there's execution.
- 15:49Speaker 4: You're playing a really good offensive team, so there's gonna
- 15:52Speaker 4: be some that they're gonna make plays, They're going to
- 15:54Speaker 4: do some things. But I think overall the defense played inspired.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I thought they played as a team. I thought they
- 15:58Speaker 4: played as a unit, especially we missing your best guy
- 16:05Speaker 4: on defense, at least on the front seven. Uh, with
- 16:07Speaker 4: what weeks being out, I thought that was I thought
- 16:10Speaker 4: everything there was good. Offensively, I actually thought we did
- 16:12Speaker 4: a couple of nice things, and we can point that out.
- 16:14Speaker 4: We can watch some of them, go to the tape
- 16:15Speaker 4: a little bit and see some things that was a
- 16:18Speaker 4: little bit different than we've seen all season. We did
- 16:21Speaker 4: a couple of extra things. You could tell that some
- 16:23Speaker 4: of these coaches that have been not been able to
- 16:27Speaker 4: call plays or maybe have as much input as they want,
- 16:29Speaker 4: they probably got a couple of wrinkles thrown in there, thrown.
- 16:32Speaker 2: In there that they've been wanted to do.
- 16:34Speaker 4: But it's not like in a week and a half
- 16:35Speaker 4: you can go and reset everything and change your complete offense.
- 16:38Speaker 4: And we saw a lot of the same. Now there
- 16:41Speaker 4: was a lot of different Like you look at a
- 16:42Speaker 4: lot of the wide receiver screens that we did. We
- 16:44Speaker 4: actually ran some the right way like when you get
- 16:46Speaker 4: when you get offensive lineman plump and had some success,
- 16:49Speaker 4: and we did a couple of things the right way.
- 16:52Speaker 4: But at the end of the day, there's you can't
- 16:54Speaker 4: call a game full of brand new plays.
- 16:56Speaker 5: You can't do that. So you do have to go
- 16:58Speaker 5: back to what you've been doing, and you been Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 5: the foundation of the offense is fundamentally flawed. Yeah, certainly,
- 17:04Speaker 5: without question, no question.
- 17:06Speaker 4: And there's only there's only so many so many band
- 17:08Speaker 4: aids you can put on it, right, there's only so
- 17:09Speaker 4: many so much lips that you can put on a
- 17:11Speaker 4: pig and it showed its head and it's of course,
- 17:17Speaker 4: if you do that, you can't get anything going. Your
- 17:19Speaker 4: quarterback is it actually made some decent plays early on,
- 17:23Speaker 4: but not not enough. He made some obviously some very
- 17:26Speaker 4: very poor decisions, some very poor plays, and Garrett just wasn't.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Doing anything to help out help us. Guys out right
- 17:35Speaker 5: made things, made mistakes worse.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So that's what happens.
- 17:41Speaker 5: How you get how you get bench and hats how
- 17:43Speaker 5: you get a backup quarterback putting the game.
- 17:44Speaker 4: So overall, just disappointed watching the game. There was moments
- 17:48Speaker 4: where I mean I thought that it was exciting watching
- 17:51Speaker 4: the game again, though I got really thought that they
- 17:53Speaker 4: were out there and you know, credit to Frank and
- 17:56Speaker 4: the team. I think they I felt like the team
- 17:58Speaker 4: was in a bad such of losing a coach, yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 4: mid season. I thought they came out and played hard
- 18:04Speaker 4: and it was at least entertaining for me to watch,
- 18:06Speaker 4: at least. I don't know about how everybody else felt
- 18:07Speaker 4: out there and seeing a couple of different things, but
- 18:12Speaker 4: towards the end, obviously pissed just like everybody else.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and we could go drive by drive, I mean
- 18:19Speaker 5: the first game, first series of the game, I mean,
- 18:21Speaker 5: you stop Alabama on fourth down, you get great momentum
- 18:24Speaker 5: and you actually you drive the ball forty eight yards
- 18:28Speaker 5: yourself and you miss what should be an easy field goal.
- 18:32Speaker 5: And when you're on the road in the SEC and
- 18:35Speaker 5: you're the underdog and you're trying to punch up, you
- 18:38Speaker 5: stop them on fourth down, sudden change and you go
- 18:41Speaker 5: get the ball and drive it.
- 18:42Speaker 2: You have to get points there. You have to get points.
- 18:45Speaker 5: You got to change the momentum because if you go
- 18:48Speaker 5: up three to nothing, I know it seems so small,
- 18:51Speaker 5: but it can be so major for you and your
- 18:54Speaker 5: belief and the fight that you have. And so you
- 18:57Speaker 5: missed that opportunity. Well, then the defense comes right back
- 19:00Speaker 5: onto the field and they stop them again.
- 19:04Speaker 2: They make Alabama punt.
- 19:05Speaker 5: Okay, Then you get the ball back and it's like,
- 19:08Speaker 5: all right, well we stopped them twice. We had a
- 19:10Speaker 5: nice drive. It just didn't finish obviously with points. But hey,
- 19:14Speaker 5: let's go again. Well then on a third and six
- 19:19Speaker 5: you find a pretty good play. You got a little
- 19:21Speaker 5: screen to the tight end there. It's like, okay, here
- 19:24Speaker 5: we go. It's going to be first down, and Bower
- 19:26Speaker 5: Sharp fumbles the ball same way did against Clemson. Kind
- 19:30Speaker 5: of same situation. Right, gets punched out. All security is
- 19:35Speaker 5: not great. Alabama gets the ball, and so from what
- 19:39Speaker 5: could have been you up three to nothing, You've got
- 19:41Speaker 5: Alabama off the field a.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Couple of times. You're driving.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Now it's oh, no, defense, another sudden change, help us
- 19:50Speaker 5: out again, and they do.
- 19:52Speaker 2: They obliged, they do it. They hold them to a
- 19:54Speaker 2: field goal.
- 19:55Speaker 5: All right, So you're feeling pretty good about it, all right,
- 19:58Speaker 5: because that could have been a much worse situation. Well,
- 20:02Speaker 5: then you get the ball back and you tie it up, right, So,
- 20:06Speaker 5: I mean, you're doing some things, Matt in this game
- 20:08Speaker 5: where it's not all going your way. You got a
- 20:12Speaker 5: lot of sudden change, you got some adversity. Defense is
- 20:15Speaker 5: helping you out, they're picking you up, they're keeping you
- 20:18Speaker 5: in the game. You actually go down there, even after
- 20:21Speaker 5: a fumble, after a missfield goal, you tie it up
- 20:24Speaker 5: and it's three to three.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And so you had some moments, but you weren't still
- 20:29Speaker 2: out of it even in the second quarter.
- 20:31Speaker 4: You weren't out of it until I mean, you were
- 20:34Speaker 4: never out of it till later in the game. But
- 20:36Speaker 4: like the frustrating part watching for me, why I was
- 20:38Speaker 4: so angry at halftime was the poor management of the
- 20:41Speaker 4: game at the end of the first half.
- 20:44Speaker 5: That was that was actually probably the biggest thing in
- 20:47Speaker 5: the game. It was the mismanagement of time going into half,
- 20:51Speaker 5: and any defensive coach.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Should be highly upset by.
- 20:56Speaker 5: That because when you got put in an awful situation
- 20:59Speaker 5: that have never happened.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Correct me if I'm wrong. We had the ball at
- 21:03Speaker 4: the end of the first half and they had no timeouts, right,
- 21:06Speaker 4: I know they had no timeouts.
- 21:07Speaker 5: When they had no timeouts, No, they had no time
- 21:09Speaker 5: It was about a minute left. I want to say
- 21:11Speaker 5: there was a minute thirty two, I believe.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Okay, so you get you get in a situation where
- 21:17Speaker 4: it's third down and that This is the most egregious
- 21:20Speaker 4: part of the whole game, because at that time it
- 21:21Speaker 4: was ten to three.
- 21:22Speaker 5: You had missed a field goal. Yeah, they it was
- 21:25Speaker 5: ten to three. Yeah, because you made a field goal,
- 21:27Speaker 5: made three to three. They went down, They had a
- 21:28Speaker 5: heck of a drive. It was like seven plays, seventy
- 21:31Speaker 5: five yards, they score, you punt, they missed a field goal,
- 21:35Speaker 5: so it was still ten to three, and then you
- 21:37Speaker 5: had the ball back.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Yeah, So so we we get the ball and of
- 21:41Speaker 4: course you want to try to be aggressive. I mean,
- 21:42Speaker 4: there's no reason not to be aggressive on offense. But
- 21:45Speaker 4: you also have to know it's a ten to three
- 21:46Speaker 4: ball game. Yeah, and you're going into the half and
- 21:49Speaker 4: you get the ball in the second half. So you
- 21:53Speaker 4: go out and you get the third and long because
- 21:55Speaker 4: you got an incomplete pass a throwaway I believe, and
- 21:59Speaker 4: it was an agree.
- 22:00Speaker 2: You just play that.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Nussmeyer cannot let happen, and the coaches on the sideline
- 22:05Speaker 4: have to make him aware. So he's got a speaker
- 22:07Speaker 4: in his helmet. This is a situation where whoever's calling
- 22:10Speaker 4: to play in has to talk to his quarterback.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Though.
- 22:13Speaker 4: He has to let him know the situation because sometimes
- 22:16Speaker 4: you forget it, especially as a college kid, you forget
- 22:18Speaker 4: these situations. It's third and long, under a minute left.
- 22:24Speaker 4: You snap the ball, Yes, he makes a he does
- 22:28Speaker 4: something like that, and he doesn't see the guy open
- 22:31Speaker 4: early on. Okay, they're dropping I think they're dropping eight
- 22:33Speaker 4: on this point. Yeah, so you get protection. He can't
- 22:36Speaker 4: find anybody open. He could have had his ex receiver
- 22:39Speaker 4: on like a first one to think, fine, miss it
- 22:41Speaker 4: all happens to everybody. Okay, Well at that point, sometimes
- 22:45Speaker 4: a sack is a good play if you take a sack.
- 22:48Speaker 4: That this is what somebody should be telling him in
- 22:50Speaker 4: the huddle or any quarterback.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Of the situation. Hey, if you have it, take it.
- 22:54Speaker 5: If not, sack's not a bad play, okay, because your
- 22:57Speaker 5: clock is the.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Friend right there.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Take a sack, you run off forty more seconds, you
- 23:03Speaker 4: punt the ball with twenty seven seconds left.
- 23:05Speaker 2: They don't have time to do that.
- 23:07Speaker 4: But of course we have to throws it away in
- 23:10Speaker 4: an ugly looking throwaway. If that was any other situation,
- 23:14Speaker 4: that's a fine play. Yeah, it's fine. You throw it
- 23:16Speaker 4: at the feet, it's on intentional grounding. Whatever, lived to
- 23:19Speaker 4: play another day. But in that moment, those are special
- 23:21Speaker 4: situations that you have to work on. You work on
- 23:24Speaker 4: all season. You talk about a billion times in the
- 23:27Speaker 4: film room. And I got to put it on Garrett shoulders,
- 23:30Speaker 4: but I also got to put on the coaches shoulders
- 23:31Speaker 4: who called it in because that was an egregious Even
- 23:35Speaker 4: a running play in that situation would have even been
- 23:39Speaker 4: a better idea.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Just I get it.
- 23:40Speaker 4: But it's still over east a minute seven left. You're
- 23:44Speaker 4: out of the playoff picture. Like it's a one score game.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Be aggressive. They had the dig right open backside like
- 23:50Speaker 4: that is fine, but you got to tell a quarterback
- 23:52Speaker 4: check down or sack and it's okay to take a sag.
- 23:55Speaker 4: This is one of those situations that it's a good play.
- 23:58Speaker 4: We'll patch you on the butt when you go on
- 23:59Speaker 4: the side. And if you get sacked right there, because
- 24:01Speaker 4: guess what, we're gonna punt with the twenty seven seconds left.
- 24:03Speaker 4: They're gonna get the ball with twenty one to twenty
- 24:04Speaker 4: two seconds left. Fine, we live to fight another day.
- 24:07Speaker 4: We get the ball in the second half, Well, we
- 24:10Speaker 4: got to punt it to him seventeen to three going
- 24:13Speaker 4: into half now, which should have been could have been
- 24:17Speaker 4: don't miss a field goal. Could have been a ten
- 24:18Speaker 4: to six ball game right there. And then we come
- 24:20Speaker 4: out and kick a field goal I think in the
- 24:22Speaker 4: first drive. Yeah, then you got a ten nine ball game.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I mean, it's uh, it's just those plays like you're
- 24:28Speaker 4: when you're a struggling team that is trying to find itself,
- 24:32Speaker 4: you're trying to go on the road and beat the
- 24:34Speaker 4: four team in the country. Those are mistakes that can't happen.
- 24:36Speaker 4: And they let you. They kept you in the game, Alabama,
- 24:39Speaker 4: let you stay in that game for a long time
- 24:42Speaker 4: for sure. That was the mistake. To me that after
- 24:45Speaker 4: that mistake, going into halftime, I was like, Garret's gonna
- 24:49Speaker 4: have to play flawless if.
- 24:50Speaker 2: He's going to stay in this game.
- 24:52Speaker 5: Yep, he's gonna have to play absolutely flawless after that
- 24:55Speaker 5: that mistake right there, that hurt.
- 24:57Speaker 2: That was it's inexcusable though.
- 25:00Speaker 5: You did have you had a drive to later and
- 25:04Speaker 5: you're right, like that situation that can't happen. It just
- 25:06Speaker 5: it absolutely can't happen. And that's it's on every level
- 25:10Speaker 5: of football. You have to know that clock situation and
- 25:12Speaker 5: you have to know that no matter what, like you
- 25:16Speaker 5: want to get the first down, but the clock is
- 25:18Speaker 5: the thing that you've got to try to wind down.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And again, like I can't imagine any.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Defensive coach was very happy about that because now, like
- 25:26Speaker 5: you know, you get put in a bad situation and
- 25:29Speaker 5: then they go hit one play and all of a sudden,
- 25:31Speaker 5: boom boom, touchdown Alabama. And so then you get the
- 25:35Speaker 5: ball in the second half you mentioned it, and you
- 25:37Speaker 5: open it up and you get a field goal. There
- 25:39Speaker 5: you go eleven plays forty eight yards, take six minutes
- 25:42Speaker 5: off the clock and you again, though you weren't able
- 25:45Speaker 5: to put the ball into the end zone, you had
- 25:47Speaker 5: multiple chances there.
- 25:48Speaker 2: You're driving the football and just what was it?
- 25:53Speaker 5: I think it's I think it's first in goal to
- 25:55Speaker 5: nine if I'm not mistaken right, you weren't you run?
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:58Speaker 5: You run one yard run up the middle and then
- 26:01Speaker 5: you have an incomplete pass to bury on Brown. So
- 26:04Speaker 5: it's second and goal at the eight. Now it's third
- 26:06Speaker 5: goal at the eight and what do you have?
- 26:09Speaker 2: Penalty?
- 26:10Speaker 5: A delay of game penalty? Which how does that happen
- 26:14Speaker 5: in that situation? It can't, it shouldn't. But if it does,
- 26:18Speaker 5: go ahead, time out because you do not want to
- 26:21Speaker 5: back up five yards when you're already in a goal situation.
- 26:25Speaker 5: But you back up five yards and then you get
- 26:27Speaker 5: sacked for a loss of fourteen And there was a
- 26:32Speaker 5: place that you know step up and step out in
- 26:34Speaker 5: that pocket and nuss Meyer was rolling to his right,
- 26:39Speaker 5: tries to reverse field left and you lose fourteen yards there.
- 26:42Speaker 5: So you settle for a field goal in that situation,
- 26:45Speaker 5: and that felt like a big opportunity to go put
- 26:48Speaker 5: it in the end zone. But even after that, your
- 26:50Speaker 5: defense comes back and they force another punt by Alabama.
- 26:55Speaker 5: You get the ball back, you can't do anything with it.
- 26:58Speaker 5: You punt it right back to them, and then your
- 27:00Speaker 5: defense goes out there again and get you the ball back.
- 27:05Speaker 5: There's a great individual play by Harold Perkins. He goes
- 27:09Speaker 5: out there, strips it and recovers the fumble. Well, then
- 27:14Speaker 5: you go nine plays for only eighteen yards, and it
- 27:17Speaker 5: took four and a half minutes to go eighteen yards.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I'll say that again.
- 27:20Speaker 5: It took four and a half minutes to go eighteen
- 27:23Speaker 5: yards on the football field, and you settle for another
- 27:27Speaker 5: field goal.
- 27:28Speaker 2: All right, but okay, not the worst situation.
- 27:31Speaker 5: It's bad, it's not the worst situation because what'd you
- 27:34Speaker 5: do made it a one score game?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Okay?
- 27:37Speaker 5: All right, well then guess what your defense s. I mean,
- 27:41Speaker 5: if you've heard this before, they go help you out again,
- 27:43Speaker 5: and they get the ball back before you again heard
- 27:46Speaker 5: it before, they get it back for you again. Okay,
- 27:50Speaker 5: now you're backed up, but you have one drive down
- 27:54Speaker 5: one score in the game, and you go three plays
- 27:59Speaker 5: one year yard a minute in thirty one seconds. Now
- 28:04Speaker 5: I know you were backed up. I get that, understand that.
- 28:09Speaker 5: But like Matt kind of said, earlier. You're five and three,
- 28:13Speaker 5: you're on the road, you're the dog, you got.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Nothing to lose. Normal in a normal situation, Yeah, run
- 28:22Speaker 2: it twice. See what you can do.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Maybe on third down. And by the way, you had
- 28:27Speaker 5: it on third down. You hit tradeds Green right down
- 28:30Speaker 5: the seam and he just dropped it. He just dropped it.
- 28:35Speaker 5: I don't know where that play ends up. I'm sure
- 28:37Speaker 5: we'll show that play today.
- 28:39Speaker 2: It's going to go for a.
- 28:40Speaker 5: Long way and again you're down one score. I don't
- 28:46Speaker 5: know where that play ends up, but I would have
- 28:48Speaker 5: liked to find out.
- 28:50Speaker 2: But you don't you drop would you have? Yeah?
- 28:53Speaker 5: I would have loved to. You might still be running
- 28:55Speaker 5: and you drop it. And so that was your one play.
- 28:58Speaker 5: That was your one situation. And so now you got
- 29:01Speaker 5: to punt the ball back, Alabama kicks a field goal,
- 29:04Speaker 5: you get it back, sack, fumble, game over. So you
- 29:08Speaker 5: had one chance in the second half, down one score,
- 29:13Speaker 5: and you had to play.
- 29:15Speaker 2: You had to play, just didn't didn't execute. Yeah. Kind
- 29:20Speaker 2: of the story of kind of the story of the season, right.
- 29:24Speaker 4: I mean, it's funny because when vam here and Cream
- 29:28Speaker 4: in the game, first.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Catch on third down, was it, uh.
- 29:36Speaker 5: To Thomas like full extension, Yeah, fully like because they
- 29:39Speaker 5: made some really great plays, they made some really good catches.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Then the one that's just the easy one.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Yeah, and you recognizes the pressure throws into the pressure
- 29:47Speaker 4: trade as and it's just one of those man you
- 29:49Speaker 4: just want to have back, but it just kind of
- 29:51Speaker 4: seems nice turned to startup field yep. Yeah, And it
- 29:55Speaker 4: happens everybody at every single level. You turn your head
- 29:58Speaker 4: to see where you're going, and uh, it just stuff.
- 30:02Speaker 4: And I don't even want to say this. It's we
- 30:04Speaker 4: talked about it with the Saints all the time. It's
- 30:06Speaker 4: like that, the type of play, the things that happened
- 30:08Speaker 4: to bad teams LS. She's not a bad team.
- 30:09Speaker 5: I don't want so, I don't want to say that,
- 30:11Speaker 5: but like it's just when things aren't going right, things
- 30:15Speaker 5: happen like that at the wrong times.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But it's it's.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Crazy because there were so many, like really good plays made,
- 30:21Speaker 4: receivers and catches, and then that one, which is you know,
- 30:25Speaker 4: who knows what happens after that, We might trumble the
- 30:27Speaker 4: next player, who knows.
- 30:28Speaker 2: You just don't know, but you'd like to see that
- 30:30Speaker 2: one be made, certainly so frustrating for LSU fans. Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Yeah, again, like he had one side of the ball
- 30:42Speaker 5: that I would say, the only time the defense didn't
- 30:47Speaker 5: help you with the sudden change or help you get
- 30:49Speaker 5: back into the situation was right before half. But that
- 30:52Speaker 5: was another situation that they were put in that they
- 30:54Speaker 5: shouldn't have been, like Alabama really had. Outside of that,
- 30:59Speaker 5: they had one seven play seventy five yard drive And
- 31:03Speaker 5: that's a really good offense. And you may play after
- 31:06Speaker 5: play on defense, and man, I'm not saying that you
- 31:11Speaker 5: had to go out there and be the number one
- 31:13Speaker 5: offense in the country by any means, but you've got
- 31:15Speaker 5: to help him out. You gotta throw them a bone
- 31:16Speaker 5: and just certainly not enough.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to get more than three kicks to
- 31:20Speaker 4: go through. Yeah, God, that's got to happen. So I
- 31:25Speaker 4: don't know, we'll see where we go from here with
- 31:26Speaker 4: certainly the quarterback position van Buren and he showed a
- 31:29Speaker 4: lot of really good things I thought. Yeah, coming, let
- 31:33Speaker 4: me tell you, coming off a bench is not easy. Yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 4: it is not easy to do. It is hard to do.
- 31:38Speaker 4: You hadn't hadn't had the reps in practice. You come
- 31:41Speaker 4: in the game's cold, you're the only one in the
- 31:43Speaker 4: in the huddle with a.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Bright white jersey on. It's just a little bit different.
- 31:48Speaker 4: You hadn't been fighting the battle with everybody, and you
- 31:50Speaker 4: get thrown in there and expect and it's usually in
- 31:52Speaker 4: a bad situation, in a tough situation at least where
- 31:55Speaker 4: you're behind, you have to come back, you have to
- 31:57Speaker 4: make the plays. And I thought he did a really
- 32:00Speaker 4: nice job of coming in there, stepping in, going through
- 32:03Speaker 4: his reads, not second guessing himself. And yeah, I'm sure
- 32:06Speaker 4: it's like when he if he gets to start going
- 32:08Speaker 4: forward or whatever, happens to be a little bit more
- 32:10Speaker 4: accurate with his throws on some of these things.
- 32:12Speaker 2: But like he got in there and let it rip.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Man, he was He hit his back foot, went through
- 32:16Speaker 4: his reads and and.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Delivered the ball.
- 32:19Speaker 4: So, like I said, I thought he did pretty pretty
- 32:22Speaker 4: darned well in a tough situation.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Yeah, that's one of the things that Van Buren last
- 32:25Speaker 5: year he had some big moments. It was being accurate.
- 32:29Speaker 5: That was probably the thing that he still's got to work.
- 32:31Speaker 5: And it's only I think he completed fifty five percent
- 32:33Speaker 5: of his passes last year, So like no surprise, he
- 32:36Speaker 5: used to be great. They did at one time. At
- 32:40Speaker 5: one time it was again, though, I'm not sure who
- 32:46Speaker 5: could be highly successful right now with the foundation of
- 32:50Speaker 5: what they've got going on mat they still they're using.
- 32:55Speaker 2: A small portion of the football field. Like, I just don't.
- 32:58Speaker 5: I can't sit here and tell you that I think
- 32:59Speaker 5: anybody would be great. I think i'd be lying to you.
- 33:02Speaker 5: I mean, wool pull up the passing chart yet to
- 33:05Speaker 5: get right.
- 33:05Speaker 4: You're you're you're absolutely right. The foundation of the offense
- 33:09Speaker 4: isn't great. But there are plays to be made. There's
- 33:12Speaker 4: more than nine points for sure, for sure.
- 33:15Speaker 5: But again, when you go back and you're watching the
- 33:19Speaker 5: end zone copy and some of the some of the
- 33:22Speaker 5: combinations and some of the things that we it's like,
- 33:25Speaker 5: I just don't know why you're why that why that's
- 33:27Speaker 5: even the end right, I don't. I don't know when
- 33:29Speaker 5: you thought that was a good play.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Yeah, But beyond that, there's plays be made out there, Jake,
- 33:33Speaker 4: And like there is you could win this game with
- 33:36Speaker 4: the offense they threw out there the other day.
- 33:38Speaker 2: You got to execute it. And you can't have ten penalties.
- 33:40Speaker 4: You can't jump off sides every single time you try
- 33:42Speaker 4: to get in a situation.
- 33:43Speaker 5: Now album had two like and one was an egregious.
- 33:46Speaker 5: They tried to the problem.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Is you could just go out there and execute your
- 33:50Speaker 4: this game plan, which it wasn't great. If you just
- 33:53Speaker 4: go out there and execute this, you got a chance
- 33:55Speaker 4: to win the game. Your defense played well enough, they
- 33:58Speaker 4: made plays in big situations.
- 34:00Speaker 2: It was fun. That was okay.
- 34:02Speaker 4: If you could you could even execute this and have
- 34:04Speaker 4: a chance to win this game. They just didn't. Sloppy mistakes.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Stop jumping off sides. I get it. You got a
- 34:10Speaker 4: new you got a new quarterback. In different snapcount. They
- 34:18Speaker 4: had two throws over the middle.
- 34:20Speaker 2: They went past five years.
- 34:24Speaker 5: So it's that's nice as much that's not double what
- 34:28Speaker 5: they normally have.

- 35:38Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven. You're
- 35:41Speaker 1: listening to off the bench.
- 35:51Speaker 9: No one.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Like when you said your phots on told myself that
- 36:07Speaker 2: you're right, all right, Welcome back in OTB.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Someone was asking, I think it was Sam mcgump and
- 36:16Speaker 5: the chat what was a combined rushing total one hundred
- 36:19Speaker 5: and fifteen yards for both teams combined.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Not a stellar day on the ground.
- 36:26Speaker 5: LSU average two point three yards per attempt with fifty
- 36:29Speaker 5: nine rushing yards, Alabama two point two with fifty six
- 36:33Speaker 5: rushing yards. Not a great day on the ground, but
- 36:37Speaker 5: neither of those teams obviously are anywhere close to leading
- 36:41Speaker 5: the SEC. Both in the bottom half there, Harlan Barry
- 36:44Speaker 5: had a couple nice runs. Yet again he was I mean,
- 36:49Speaker 5: I don't know what it was. He was limping most
- 36:53Speaker 5: of the game, certainly in the second half. He had
- 36:57Speaker 5: a little hitch in his get up, so I'm not
- 36:59Speaker 5: sure what it was there, but.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Let's just get along.
- 37:03Speaker 5: Maybe one of the things, I mean, I say, maybe
- 37:05Speaker 5: one of the things they why they went away with it,
- 37:07Speaker 5: but I don't, I don't really know. I'm not really
- 37:10Speaker 5: sure there. But yeah, he's uh, he's a star. He's
- 37:12Speaker 5: going to be a stud. That that guy a second
- 37:15Speaker 5: half run, hate it, hate it. Yeah, he's going to
- 37:19Speaker 5: be so good.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Man.
- 37:20Speaker 5: His patience as a freshman, because normally, as a freshman
- 37:24Speaker 5: running back, what do you try to do?
- 37:26Speaker 2: You try to do what you've always done. You try
- 37:27Speaker 2: to hit home runs, like you.
- 37:28Speaker 5: Did in high school, and you know, seventy with every carry,
- 37:32Speaker 5: and you're so impatient and you run up into the
- 37:34Speaker 5: line of scrimmage and you're not even reading it.
- 37:37Speaker 2: You're just trying to use.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Your athletic ability to go try to be a dude
- 37:40Speaker 5: and see if you can go break one.
- 37:41Speaker 2: It never works out. It happens to everybody. Happened to me.
- 37:44Speaker 5: It's happened to name your favorite LSU running back. Harlan
- 37:49Speaker 5: Berry doesn't have that. This dude is super patient. He
- 37:53Speaker 5: waits to see the crease, and when the crease shows up,
- 37:55Speaker 5: he doesn't question it.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He just goes. That's the really great thing.
- 38:00Speaker 4: But when you see a good college running back, you
- 38:02Speaker 4: see him make a decision and go with it. And
- 38:06Speaker 4: and more times than not, the good ones find make
- 38:08Speaker 4: the right decision. Now, sometimes you don't make the right decision.
- 38:10Speaker 4: It's fine, but you if you just hit it one
- 38:12Speaker 4: hundred percent, at least you fall forward. We were talking
- 38:15Speaker 4: about some of the running backs we love watching in
- 38:17Speaker 4: the NFL. It seems like they're always falling forward no
- 38:20Speaker 4: matter when they get hit. They get hit, it's going forward.
- 38:23Speaker 4: They're getting a pile, It goes forward. And it seems
- 38:26Speaker 4: like he's got a little bit of that in him.
- 38:27Speaker 4: But man, you talk about for such a young guy,
- 38:30Speaker 4: he runs mature, He runs patient. He understands the blocking assignments,
- 38:35Speaker 4: he understands who he needs to wait to wait on.
- 38:39Speaker 4: It's like running a It's like what I talk about
- 38:40Speaker 4: high football IQ with wide receivers. They understand what number
- 38:44Speaker 4: in the progression they are versus different coverags.
- 38:46Speaker 2: They know that against you know, too high.
- 38:48Speaker 4: They might be number one, they number three, they might
- 38:51Speaker 4: be the number three the three look uh So, it's
- 38:54Speaker 4: just one of those situations where it's just I mean,
- 38:56Speaker 4: it's fun and exciting for LSU fans to be able
- 39:00Speaker 4: to watch him run the football. Yeah, and how we've
- 39:02Speaker 4: gone away from it, especially last game was more egregious
- 39:06Speaker 4: than this Alabama game. When you're averaging seven yards of
- 39:09Speaker 4: carry with him in the first half and I think
- 39:10Speaker 4: it gets one carry in the second half, that was
- 39:12Speaker 4: more egregious. Yeah, you're right, he was. He wasn't fully
- 39:15Speaker 4: one hundred percent in the most of this game. I
- 39:18Speaker 4: don't think. I don't know what happened, But yeah, we
- 39:21Speaker 4: don't love a good second half run here at LSU
- 39:25Speaker 4: yet And let me let me, let me say something too,
- 39:29Speaker 4: because I see a lot of people talking. That's a
- 39:31Speaker 4: lot of people talking about like, yeah, well this is
- 39:33Speaker 4: you know, Frek's chance to you know, prove it and
- 39:36Speaker 4: do all this just same old, same Look what the
- 39:39Speaker 4: job that the coaching staff did, I thought over the
- 39:42Speaker 4: bye week was great, Like.
- 39:44Speaker 2: You got two choices.
- 39:45Speaker 4: When when you got a head coach that gets fired,
- 39:48Speaker 4: there's two choices a team can make, and LSU made
- 39:52Speaker 4: the right choice. They just didn't execute right right. They
- 39:54Speaker 4: like the will to want to the desire they came together.
- 39:58Speaker 4: I I saw it like it's not Frank's job to
- 40:01Speaker 4: hold somebody from false starting and ten penalties, right, I
- 40:05Speaker 4: get it it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Maybe that's a maybe.
- 40:08Speaker 4: That was a side effect of trying to get the
- 40:12Speaker 4: offensive lineman to play a little bit more aggressive, right,
- 40:15Speaker 4: and to play a little bit more downhill and try
- 40:17Speaker 4: to kick some butt, you know. And then they just
- 40:19Speaker 4: got a little young players on the line. They just
- 40:22Speaker 4: got a little excited, you know. And then you get
- 40:24Speaker 4: you throw the backup quarterback in there, and you got
- 40:27Speaker 4: a different stap count or I guess a clap count
- 40:29Speaker 4: or whatever it is.
- 40:29Speaker 2: But it's a little bit different. I hate the clap count.
- 40:32Speaker 4: By the way, if you don't want to jump out sides,
- 40:34Speaker 4: get rid of the clap count because apparently we don't
- 40:37Speaker 4: know how to do it.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I don't know if anybody knows how to do it.
- 40:39Speaker 2: But the ten penalties are But let's push.
- 40:42Speaker 4: You must be all like, Frank is the man for
- 40:45Speaker 4: the job right now, he's so don't put any of
- 40:49Speaker 4: this on that staff and what they've done. Yeah, you
- 40:51Speaker 4: could say, same old, same old. All you want to
- 40:54Speaker 4: on offense because the offense has been the weakness of
- 40:57Speaker 4: this team all year long. I get it awesome, all right.
- 41:01Speaker 4: We said last segment, you can't fix everything in a week.
- 41:04Speaker 4: There's foundations that you cake in on that scheme. They
- 41:07Speaker 4: did some things that were really nice that we hadn't
- 41:09Speaker 4: done all year. We got under centered, did a play
- 41:11Speaker 4: action pass, it was great. We moved the pocket a
- 41:14Speaker 4: little bit. We ran wide receiver screens the correct way, right.
- 41:17Speaker 4: We didn't have a crutch of RPOs all the time.
- 41:19Speaker 4: That was the only answer for anything. There were some
- 41:21Speaker 4: things that we did that were implemented, like the further
- 41:24Speaker 4: you got into the game, like there's only so many
- 41:26Speaker 4: so much you can do when the foundation is already set,
- 41:29Speaker 4: so blame what was not what is?
- 41:35Speaker 2: All right, we will step away wrap up hour number
- 41:37Speaker 2: one when.
- 41:38Speaker 5: We come back here on OTB off the bench, all right,

- 43:48Speaker 4: Hey, what do we think about that sweet call in
- 43:51Speaker 4: the LSA Alabama game when Van Buren scrambled for a
- 43:54Speaker 4: first as a slid.
- 43:56Speaker 2: It's dumb. I mean that's a first down.
- 44:04Speaker 5: If you're like, you know, player safety, it's like okay,
- 44:06Speaker 5: because then he he did like a head first into
- 44:09Speaker 5: the next one and took a shot.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, Well, which one you wanted to do here?
- 44:12Speaker 2: I pick up the first down or you wanted me
- 44:14Speaker 2: to take a shot. Yeah, that was a bad call,
- 44:17Speaker 2: real bad call.
- 44:17Speaker 4: They started explaining it on TV about like when the
- 44:20Speaker 4: hip drops blah blahh.
- 44:21Speaker 2: I want to hear Greg explaining an Alabama call.
- 44:24Speaker 5: Yeah, should have been listening to the LSU Sports Radio Network,
- 44:28Speaker 5: but when he starts a slide, Sure, I got it.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Just common sense, that's first out. It's common sense, that's
- 44:35Speaker 2: first down.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Uh yeah, I mean ten penalties to two that you know,
- 44:39Speaker 5: and look, LSU didn't help themselves, I mean with those,
- 44:42Speaker 5: but like.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That that was it's a pretty big margin there.
- 44:46Speaker 5: And then the reviews and was talking about during the
- 44:49Speaker 5: break that LSU had seven like on every play that
- 44:54Speaker 5: was somewhat close.
- 44:55Speaker 2: And then like there's a couple of plays.
- 44:57Speaker 5: I was shocked they didn't replace uh, you know, review
- 44:59Speaker 5: and and try to look at the replay for Alabama
- 45:02Speaker 5: a couple of.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Catches like it might end up that way, But are we.
- 45:07Speaker 5: Not going to take a look at that after we
- 45:08Speaker 5: just looked at three out the last four plays.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they were.
- 45:12Speaker 4: They had to make sure LSU was actually making all
- 45:14Speaker 4: those plays. They didn't really care about Bama. I tweeted
- 45:19Speaker 4: out that FBI needs to investigate them. How'd that go
- 45:22Speaker 4: for you? It went pretty good? Tag the FBI. You didn't, sure,
- 45:27Speaker 4: did you tag? Yeah, they're on the case. Don't worry guys.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Oh man, Yeah I did. I had to.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:39Speaker 4: The sliding one was slide. That was a tough one. Tough,
- 45:42Speaker 4: like a lot of investigations out there for betting. Got
- 45:45Speaker 4: some stuff yesterday coming out baseball.
- 45:47Speaker 2: We'll get to that.
- 45:48Speaker 5: The catch on the sideline where it looked like both
- 45:50Speaker 5: of them were kind of tied up.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's no, it's out though, all right, kid
- 45:56Speaker 1: Off the bench.
