Speaker 1: Yeah, my mind is all over the place with that idea.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Thank you for that, you bet.
• 1:13
Speaker 1: Well, needless to say, I was watching just a little bit of network television this morning.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: It's hard for me to watch sometimes, but everybody's doing the oh.
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: You know what.

• 2:23
Speaker 1: Good morning, john Good morning.
• 2:25
Speaker 2: Good morning, good morning.
• 2:26
Speaker 2: How are you all today?
• 2:27
Speaker 1: Good, thank you and thanks for coming into the shop this morning.
• 2:30
Speaker 1: Mars, what are you doing?
• 2:32
Speaker 1: Leave him be, leave him be.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Oh, okay, all right, mars, we get on the air and he starts fiddling with stuff and we wind up going off the air.
• 2:41
Speaker 1: So I'm a little paranoid at that.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: Anytime he's touching buttons over here, you just keep doing what you're doing.
• 2:48
Speaker 1: We're not off the air yet, so we're good.
• 2:54
Speaker 1: So, john, I know that in many ways you've kind of coupled up with Amazon and selling some items through Amazon of the Pro-Am stash over there.
• 3:07
Speaker 2: Right, yeah, yeah, we've basically moved all of our online shopping to the Amazon platform.
• 3:16
Speaker 2: So all of the stuff that we list online on our website, online on our website If you go to our website now, there's a link to click to take you to our Amazon store on Amazon, and so you can shop all of the products that we carry on Amazon.
• 3:37
Speaker 2: So we sell a lot of car care products on there car waxes, car cleaners, leather treatment, all that kind of stuff.
• 3:45
Speaker 2: We also sell a lot of the oils, the engine additives, all of those products to help keep your car running smooth.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: And then we also have other stuff like Bilstein shock absorbers, kony shock absorbers, other brands of products that it's just become easier to push that stuff through Amazon and we're very competitively priced on there.
• 4:14
Speaker 2: We have to be because of Amazon, so it's a great place to shop.
• 4:19
Speaker 2: It's a lot easier for us to maintain stuff on there and get stuff out to the customers quicker through the Amazon platform than through our older website that we had to maintain ourselves.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Well, and you also sell Corbeau seats.
• 4:37
Speaker 2: Yes, I don't sell those on Amazon, but we do sell those here in the store and since that's such a custom item, I'll swing over here.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: You can see some corbeau seats I said hey, did you have a sign on that one?
• 4:48
Speaker 1: Over there it says don armstrong sat here, don't?
• 4:51
Speaker 2: say you know, actually I get to charge people 25 cents if they want to sit in the seat that you sat in yeah, that's it.
• 4:58
Speaker 1: Well, uh, yeah, so obviously.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: Uh, john is the supplier of the in-wheel time machine Corbeau seats.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: Let's hope he cleaned it.
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: There we go.
• 5:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, we have to wipe it down with the….
• 5:09
Speaker 2: Sanitizer Aniseptic every day.
• 5:12
  Speaker 2: Yeah, Right, yeah.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: And John also did the installation and he's got a great shop in the back over there so he can do that kind of stuff.
• 5:22
Speaker 2: Right, we do all the sales and installation ourselves on most of these seats.
• 5:26
Speaker 2: Some people take them home and they do it themselves or whatever, but for the most part we install the seats here.
• 5:34
Speaker 2: We also install the performance suspension stuff that we sell from Bilstein and the other companies.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: And then, of course, we do have our racing products too.
• 5:45
Speaker 2: I know we have a lot of customers that are, you know, weekend warriors and stuff at the racetracks.
• 5:51
Speaker 2: So, whether it's an HPD driving school thing or if it's a full-on competition, we've got helmets, gloves, shoes, suits, all the stuff that you need to get on track.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Well, I wanted to also compliment you on the fact that with the installation of the Corbeau seats, you came across something that you already knew, I did not never thought of, and that was the seat belt light thing that if you don't take the wires off of the current seat that you have and somehow fix it in the new, in the new uh arrangement, with the new Corbeau seats, then the light stays on all the time, so it doesn't realize that you've buckled the seat and uh, I would have never thought of that.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: And and you've done enough of those to know that you got to do this, and so pulling, picking a couple of those wires out of that big nest of wires underneath there, and that connection made it awfully easy.
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: Well, that's.
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: I'm a professional Don, that's what I do.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: Well, thank you for reminding me of that, because you know we're also friends and I neglected to mention that.
• 7:06
  Speaker 2: Yeah, no it's.
• 7:07
Speaker 2: I've been doing seats for a really long time and so yeah, it's kind of second nature to me to go look for that kind of stuff, you know when we're doing a seat install.
• 7:16
Speaker 2: But I'm glad they're working out for you.
• 7:18
Speaker 2: Those were nice seats and it was a really nice car too, so it all all worked together just great.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: I've gotten some great compliments on them and uh and I I love sitting in them and they they're a whole lot better than those ups upsold uh sport seats that the corvette came with.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: That had the rocking back and forth problem and then the air bladder wouldn't work for your lumbar support.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: It was just, and not only that, and the worst thing of all was the fact that it had a short somewhere in it so it drained the battery and it took me $600 to track that down to figure out that it was the sport seat, the driver's side sport seat, that was draining the battery After all those batteries that I purchased.
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: I was mad.
• 8:02
Speaker 2: Well, we fixed all that, though.
• 8:03
Speaker 1: Right yeah, so we're good yeah yeah, we're all good, we don't have that problem.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: Now you got a loose nut behind the wheel.
• 8:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it, yeah, right.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: The other thing I wanted to mention when it comes to gift giving, you know, you don't have to go out and buy a complete suspension system to have some sort of automotive themed kind of present, whether it be birthday or, in this case, christmas present.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: You've got some what we call trinket items there.
• 8:28
Speaker 1: They're not, they're very useful and very handy and they're really kind of low-priced, and that's one of the things that I think should be said that you don't have to go out and buy a $10,000 front-end suspension for your car.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: Right, we have a lot of stocking stuffer uh items.
• 8:47
Speaker 2: Uh, you know that you can come in and shop for uh.
• 8:49
Speaker 2: Behind me I guess these are, you know, the custom uh license plate frames that have your vehicle logos on them, whatnot.
• 8:56
Speaker 2: Uh, again, car care items are always a good uh, a good gift for people that like to take care of their own own vehicles and stuff.
• 9:05
Speaker 2: We've got everything you know.
• 9:06
Speaker 2: We've kind of distilled it down to the best of the best stuff that we like to use personally here and that we also find is extremely easy to use.
• 9:16
Speaker 2: So that's always been a good seller.
• 9:19
Speaker 2: Of course we've got it's not really a good Christmas present, but we've got all your fully synthetic motor oils and stuff.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: But let me walk over here because I wanted to show you guys this.
• 9:31
Speaker 1: That would be like buying mom some vacuum cleaner bags for a Christmas present.
• 9:37
Speaker 1: There you go, you just ruined it.
• 9:38
  Speaker 1: You just ruined.
• 9:39
  Speaker 4: Christmas.
• 9:39
Speaker 4: Gave away the prize Well you talk about the waxes and polishes and cleaners and things.
• 9:43
Speaker 4: You've got the tried and true, tested products.
• 9:48
Speaker 4: You're not a walmart where you got three racks and three aisles.
• 9:51
Speaker 4: You've got the stuff that people really use right.
• 9:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, people come in here and I mean they're look, they're not looking for every option on the planet.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: They want to know what's going to work, what's going to work the quickest and give them the best best finish right.
• 10:04
Speaker 2: So that's, that's pretty much what we, what we keep here are those the caliper covers that is behind you there?
• 10:10
Speaker 2: yeah, yeah, I was going to talk about these.
• 10:12
Speaker 2: These have been super popular this year.
• 10:13
Speaker 2: You know, we're one of like two or three shops here in Houston that are the official installers for these.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: People can order them themselves over their internet site.
• 10:26
Speaker 2: They've got a great site to help customize these covers or we can do it here for you.
• 10:31
Speaker 2: We can help walk somebody through that and pick the color and the little options and the stylings and the logos and stuff and we install these.
• 10:40
Speaker 2: I don't know, I do probably two or three sets of these a week, it seems like right now.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: So they're really popular.
• 10:46
  Speaker 4: There's my little.
• 10:47
Speaker 4: You've got the license plate frames.
• 10:49
  Speaker 4: I bought a new Buick.
• 10:51
Speaker 4: In case you didn't know, Are there any Buick license plate frames there?
• 10:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, uh-huh, sure, we've got Buick ones.
• 10:57
Speaker 2: There you go, fellas.
• 10:58
Speaker 2: They don't have the car model name on them, but they do say Buick.
• 11:03
Speaker 2: That's all it is.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: That's okay, because Jeff likes to fool people and he had an SRX and he thought you know what, nobody's ever going to know.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: So he bought a V emblem and put it back there on the hatch so everybody would think that it was a V.
• 11:21
Speaker 4: John he's telling stories now.
• 11:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm thinking that's going to be something like a GNX is the next thing, that's going to be on the Burek, yeah and the.
• 11:32
  Speaker 2: Burek.
• 11:32
Speaker 2: Well, the V makes it faster right.
• 11:34
Speaker 4: Exactly, you've got more money on trade for it too, yeah.
• 11:40
Speaker 3: That third cover there from the top John, that red one.
• 11:44
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 11:46
Speaker 3: It's kind of soft, can't see it real good.
• 11:48
Speaker 3: Does it say AARP?
• 11:49
Speaker 3: I was thinking that would be the one Jeff would want.
• 11:54
  Speaker 3: There you go.
• 11:55
Speaker 3: I just couldn't read it real good.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: There is a great idea, John you get the manufacturer to make one that's got AARP on it.
• 12:05
Speaker 2: They might have that option.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: I haven't checked for it, but maybe that will be soon.
• 12:08
Speaker 2: All right, moving on, that's actually the brand of the covers MG have that option.
• 12:09
Speaker 2: I haven't checked for it, but I maybe.
• 12:10
Speaker 2: Maybe that'll be soon yeah, all right moving on.
• 12:12
Speaker 2: That's actually the brand of the covers.
• 12:14
Speaker 3: Mgp is oh, okay, okay so that's the company my bad.
• 12:18
Speaker 1: Well, I think, if they can, make mgp, then they can make aarp right, I'm sure they can yeah they've got corvette.
• 12:25
Speaker 2: you know corvette mustang they've got we.
• 12:28
Speaker 2: We put these on everything Like last week I think I did a Honda Pilot.
• 12:31
Speaker 2: We put Honda ones on.
• 12:33
Speaker 2: We put some Cadillac ones on there you go Jeff.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: All the Dodge Ram stuff is super popular, the only problem is you got to have actual brake rotors, a disc brake system, and not drums.
• 12:47
Speaker 2: That's the only problem.
• 12:48
Speaker 1: I guess you could glue that on the back of the hatch drums.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: that's the only problem I guess you could glue that on the back of the hatch.
• 12:52
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we don't.
• 12:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess for the few vehicles I didn't even vehicles still have drum brakes in the back, but I guess a few do.
• 12:59
Speaker 1: But well, I mean, we're talking about classics here, like me, okay, well, these are.
• 13:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess that's true let us, let us know when you get a tesla in that in that case, we could, uh, paint the drums, if you wanted, like red brake drums or something like that.
• 13:15
Speaker 2: Right, we've done that before too.
• 13:16
Speaker 2: Okay, good, yeah, we also.
• 13:17
Speaker 2: We also do the brake brake caliper painting as well for the cars that, like, this stuff is not available for, which is actually very few nowadays.
• 13:26
  Speaker 2: So yeah.
• 13:27
Speaker 3: so, john, let me ask you One of the best or the most seemingly popular gifts I gave my grandchildren as they got older was from your shop the dipstick.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: Right the dipstick wipes.
• 13:40
  Speaker 3: Dipstick, do you?
• 13:42
Speaker 2: still have those I do.
• 13:44
Speaker 2: Let me go over to them.
• 13:44
  Speaker 2: Hold on.
• 13:45
Speaker 3: I got a grandson that just got a new truck and he needs a new one.
• 13:48
Speaker 3: Even the girls still, they got them under the hood.
• 13:50
Speaker 3: I mean it's A dip got a new truck and he needs a new one.
• 13:50
Speaker 3: Uh, even the girls still, they got them under the hood.
• 13:51
  Speaker 3: I mean it's a dipster, dipster.
• 13:53
Speaker 2: All right, let me flip this around.
• 13:56
Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, we still have the dipsters right there.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: Nice, oh, they're different colors.
• 14:02
Speaker 2: We've got them in different colors.
• 14:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got what would have four different colors here.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: And uh, yeah, they're great.
• 14:08
Speaker 2: They, you know, they've got a magnetic base so they'll stay in your engine compartment and not get thrown out or lost.
• 14:16
Speaker 2: And uh, well, I was gonna do this two-handed, but I think I can do it okay, the purpose of this is to check the oil.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: Okay, and wipe the dipstick with the dipster.
• 14:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, the the top comes off.
• 14:27
Speaker 1: Let me see we got.
• 14:31
Speaker 1: We got sat down.
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: Technical difficulties.
• 14:34
  Speaker 2: Technical difficulties.
• 14:36
Speaker 3: No, but you're getting it there.
• 14:37
Speaker 3: Cut to the jingle.
• 14:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so, yeah.
• 14:41
Speaker 2: So it's a little styrofoam swiper in there and you swipe the dipstick through there and it just wipes off the dipstick.
• 14:49
  Speaker 2: It's really easy.
• 14:50
Speaker 3: And the oil if it accumulates goes kind of down in the bottom six easy payments of 49.95 exactly no, these are super easy stocking stuffer.
• 14:59
Speaker 2: These are like nine dollars a piece.
• 15:01
Speaker 2: So you're you're good to go on.
• 15:02
Speaker 3: I mean, even my teenage girls have still got them under the hood of their car.
• 15:05
Speaker 1: I don't know if they've ever used I'm just gonna say that they use, but they got them.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: Did you teach them how to use them?
• 15:10
Speaker 1: Yes, we went over that.
• 15:11
  Speaker 3: Alright.
• 15:12
Speaker 3: Well, the last one said well, that's what I got a boyfriend for, but it's still under the hood, oh boy.
• 15:18
Speaker 2: Right, Well, it's just you know, so you don't have to go searching for a rag or a paper towel or something like that.
• 15:23
Speaker 1: Exactly I thought it was great I've St Augustine grass on occasion.
• 15:29
  Speaker 3: It's still growing.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: Just wipe it on the green grass BVD.
• 15:34
Speaker 2: Don't tell that to too many people.
• 15:36
Speaker 2: The greenies might get mad at you, that's true we also do truck accessories and stuff.
• 15:42
Speaker 2: If you need stuff like a bed cover, tonneau cover, I'm thinking more of the lines of a do-it-yourself lift kit.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: I like the challenge of that do-it-yourself lift kit.
• 15:52
Speaker 1: I just I like the challenge of that.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: It's easy, it's clean, it's it's uh, you know, if you got some big tools, then go for it a do-it-yourself lift kit?
• 16:01
Speaker 2: yeah sure, I guess, go for it.
• 16:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you know what I'm talking about.
• 16:04
Speaker 1: If you want your hat, your half ton pickup truck, you want to raise it up a couple of inches and give it that more off-roady look.
• 16:13
Speaker 1: Do you sell wheels too?
• 16:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, we sell wheels mostly for track day cars Corvettes, porsches, mustangs, camaros, that sort of stuff.
• 16:28
Speaker 2: I'll swing around here, are they?
• 16:30
Speaker 3: special wheels for track.
• 16:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're lightweight wheels.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: A lot of them are forged so they're extra strong.
• 16:39
Speaker 2: They work really well.
• 16:41
Speaker 2: We don't do a lot of the custom truck wheels and stuff that you see around town.
• 16:46
Speaker 2: There's a lot of other shops that are better at that than we are, Gotcha.
• 16:51
Speaker 5: We also do tires.
• 16:52
Speaker 5: There's a lot of other shops that are better at that than we are.
• 16:52
Speaker 2: Gotcha, but it's always good to know we also do tires Like if you do need new tires for your truck or car, SUV or whatever.
• 16:58
Speaker 2: We also mountain balance and sell tires as well.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: Well, I think that this is by local Saturday, so you know, this is local.
• 17:07
Speaker 1: This is a family-owned and operated business here locally in the Houston Texas area.
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: We are.
• 17:14
Speaker 2: We've been in the same spot for almost 40 years now, wow.
• 17:19
Speaker 1: Well, you were just a tyke when Dad opened this, didn't you?
• 17:22
Speaker 2: I was a tweenager when Dad opened this place.
• 17:25
  Speaker 2: There you go.
• 17:27
Speaker 1: Well, what's the address for?
• 17:28
  Speaker 2: everybody.
• 17:29
Speaker 2: We are at 61125 Richmond Avenue.
• 17:34
Speaker 1: That is the corner of Richmond and Greenridge, near Hillcroft and Fountain View, in between those two streets so it's easy to get to Just a hop, step and a jump from 50 miles.
• 17:44
Speaker 2: We're super close to the Galleria so you can drop off your family members at the Galleria.
• 17:50
Speaker 2: They can shop and you can swing over here and talk cars or maybe find something for yourself.
• 17:55
Speaker 4: Sit in the Don Armstrong Corbeau seat.
• 17:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly right.
• 18:00
  Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right.
• 18:01
Speaker 3: And there's still time to get some of this stuff off of Amazon, off your store at Amazon, and get it in for Christmas.
• 18:06
Speaker 2: Yeah well, especially for folks around here, most of this stuff is just one day away, so order it.
• 18:12
Speaker 2: And I mean, yeah well, especially for folks around here, most of this stuff is just one day away, so order it.
• 18:15
Speaker 2: And I mean it's not a prime product.
• 18:16
Speaker 2: We're not on the prime program at this point, but we're so close.
• 18:19
Speaker 2: We ship stuff out the same day or the very next day at the latest, so you'll get it right away.
• 18:25

  Speaker 1: Well, guess what?
• 21:07
Speaker 1: He's always giving us a rash.
• 21:09
  Speaker 1: I am always.
• 21:11
Speaker 4: Somehow I forgot to plug in a plug.
• 21:13
Speaker 1: I hate it when my plug's not plugged in.
• 21:14
  Speaker 1: I do too.
• 21:17
Speaker 1: It's kind of like you can see the little stitch in your side.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: Oh boy, all right.
• 21:21
Speaker 1: Hey, if you'd like to get in touch with us, shoot us an email.
• 21:23
Speaker 1: The address is info at inwheeltimecom.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: Time now for Jeff's feature of the day.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, how to read a car window sticker?
• 21:31
Speaker 1: Now, mars and I, we do it all the time because we get all of our information on the cars that we review from that window sticker.
• 21:37
Speaker 1: Well, not all of the information, but on that particular car, and it can be complicated because there's a lot of stuff on there, absolutely.
• 21:44
  Speaker 4: Absolutely.
• 21:44
Speaker 4: Well, this is what we got.
• 21:46
Speaker 4: Let me bring it up for you and everybody can follow along at home.
• 21:48
Speaker 4: You don't need your in-wheel time decoder ring or anything.
• 21:51
Speaker 4: So how to read it?
• 21:53
Speaker 4: Anyone who's actually shopped for a new car?
• 21:55
Speaker 4: You look at the window sticker.
• 21:56
Speaker 4: That's the first thing you do.
• 21:57
Speaker 4: You look at the body.
• 21:58
Speaker 4: You look at the window sticker.
• 21:59
Speaker 4: Is that the right car?
• 22:00
Speaker 4: What kind of information, well, there's on that sticker.
• 22:04
Speaker 4: So you've got to keep this in mind when you're looking at it.
• 22:05
Speaker 4: There it is, follow along.
• 22:08
Speaker 4: The number one thing that we're going to look at today is the model information.
• 22:11
Speaker 4: This is where you find the basic model information of the vehicle.
• 22:14
Speaker 4: This section is usually located at the top, left or right of the sticker.
• 22:18
Speaker 4: It tells you the engine, transmission combination, exterior, interior, color, year of the vehicle, the type of the vehicle it is, and you can check the window sticker to ensure that it is the right car that you're actually looking at.
• 22:32
Speaker 4: That would be the number one on the video.
• 22:34
Speaker 4: Correct, number one on the video.
• 22:35
Speaker 4: Now, this is an example of a 2021 Ford Expedition.
• 22:38
Speaker 4: So if you're a different kind of brand person, this is just the example we have.
• 22:42
Speaker 4: The number two on.
• 22:44
Speaker 4: This is the standard equipment.
• 22:45
Speaker 4: The section of the window sticker lists all the items featured that are included in the manufacturer's suggested retail price, or what they call the MSRP.
• 22:53
Speaker 4: Items listed here should be consistent with any of the vehicle's trim levels for that vehicle.
• 22:58
Speaker 4: These items are grouped into such categories as exterior, interior safety, security, comfort, convenience and mechanical performance.
• 23:07
Speaker 4: So that's what's in number two.
• 23:09
Speaker 4: The number three section move along over there the warranty information.
• 23:13
Speaker 4: This section lists the length of the vehicle's cars, bumper to bumper, and the powertrain warranties.
• 23:17
Speaker 4: It's noted any roadside assistance packages from the manufacturer as well.
• 23:21
Speaker 4: Some new cars also come with free maintenance programs and that's where this coverage is also listed there for them.
• 23:27
Speaker 4: If you need more information about roadside information, you can go to Edmunds.
• 23:32
Speaker 4: They have a comprehensive warranty guide for roadside assistance.
• 23:35
Speaker 4: Number four, moving along, is the optional equipment.
• 23:39
Speaker 4: In this section you'll find the information of the vehicle's factory installed options.
• 23:44
Speaker 4: Some car makers bundle them into packages like the SEs and the XLEs and all that other good stuff.
• 23:50
Speaker 4: Some offer an a la carte.
• 23:52
Speaker 4: It used to be in the old days.
• 23:54
Speaker 4: The a la carte was the way to go back in the 70s.
• 23:56
Speaker 4: That was cool because you could get all kinds of horsepower and all kinds of good things on that.
• 24:00
Speaker 4: So check that out.
• 24:01
Speaker 4: You can want to compare it to make sure it's apples to apples on what you're looking for.
• 24:05
Speaker 4: The number five section on this is the pricing information.
• 24:08
Speaker 4: That's where you'll find the basic price of the vehicle.
• 24:11
Speaker 4: It breaks down of all the other options and the fees that you're going to pay for on the a la carte or the factory install line.
• 24:17
Speaker 1: There's usually a bend over part of that as well.
• 24:19
  Speaker 1: That's number 11.
• 24:20
Speaker 1: We're not there yet, oh okay.
• 24:22
Speaker 4: Other items that would appear are the destination charges, cost of transportation and so on.
• 24:26
Speaker 4: Is there a gas guzzler tax Levied on cars with a combined MPG of 22.5 miles per gallon or less?
• 24:34
Speaker 4: There's a consumption guzzler tax Incredible.
• 24:37
Speaker 4: So the total price of the vehicle is sometimes located there but often occupies its own space on the sticker.
• 24:43
Speaker 4: So the number six we have is the parts and content information.
• 24:47
Speaker 4: The vehicle manufacturing is offering a global process.
• 24:51
Speaker 4: In some cases the engine production, transmission build, the final assembly of the vehicle take place in different countries.
• 24:57
Speaker 4: The parts content section lists where the vehicle is assembled and the percentage of the US and Canadian parts it contains.
• 25:06
Speaker 4: This sample window sticker does not have the percentages but others do, for example purposes.
• 25:11
Speaker 4: We didn't put it on there, so for information about this you can also go to the National Highway Transportation Safety Board and look it up per that vehicle.
• 25:19
Speaker 4: Number seven we're moving along.
• 25:21
Speaker 4: The section shows the MSRP of the vehicle.
• 25:23
Speaker 4: Doesn't mean you have to pay that price, but it gives you a point of reference for negotiation.
• 25:27
Speaker 4: So Doesn't mean you have to pay that price, but it gives you a point of reference for a negotiation.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: So look at that.
• 25:29
Speaker 4: Number eight fuel economy label.
• 25:30
Speaker 4: The fuel economy label.
• 25:32
Speaker 4: Also, the EPA label gives you estimates of the vehicle's fuel efficiency.
• 25:37
Speaker 4: This block helps you compare the MPG or miles per gallon numbers on one car versus another.
• 25:43
Speaker 4: The combined MPG number is the most prominent and most important figure to note.
• 25:48
Speaker 4: Number nine is a QR code.
• 25:54
Speaker 4: All that does is tell you the stats, and everything that you're looking at on that sticker is in the QR code.
• 25:57
Speaker 4: So if you're technically able to do that, you can just go ahead and click that with your QR and bring all the information up.
• 26:01
Speaker 4: And lastly, the number 10 safety ratings.
• 26:05
Speaker 4: The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration tests the number of new vehicles every year and issues star ratings for the results.
• 26:12
Speaker 4: So if you've got one that you're into more higher safety than mileage and things that's the information you'll find with it and you can just move on and buy that car.
• 26:22
Speaker 4: I recommend a Buick, by the way.
• 26:27
Speaker 1: You used to recommend the Cadillac, I did you still recommend Cadillac.
• 26:30
Speaker 4: I do recommend Cadillac.
• 26:31
Speaker 4: I just kind of not wanted to pay a price for just the name, so I get everything in my Buick that the Cadillac had.
• 26:39
Speaker 1: You know that Buick probably and I didn't look for it, but that Buick probably went down the same assembly line as the Cadillac.
• 26:50
Speaker 3: It has the same 2.0 liter turbo as the xt4 and nobody would probably notice if you put a little v on it.
• 26:53
  Speaker 3: To make.
• 26:54
Speaker 1: It well, I put it upside down as an n ah, I'm thinking, I'm thinking gnx, gnx, uh, that that would be the, uh, the buick with the supercharged engine gsx gnx, gsx, but I think the gnx was the supercharged engine.
• 27:07
Speaker 4: Gsx, gnx Is it?
• 27:07
Speaker 1: GSX, gsx, but I think the GNX was the really super high performance.
• 27:12
Speaker 4: I'm going to order it through Pro-Am.
• 27:14
  Speaker 3: Do it.
• 27:14
Speaker 3: There you go, John what can you do for?
• 27:18
Speaker 1: me on this deal.
• 27:19
Speaker 1: I need that, you know.
• 27:20
Speaker 1: I think that really just an idea, but maybe, perhaps we could get in the funny car labels and we, you know, come up with our own stuff for different cars, because most of them have, you know, the brand and then, over on the other side, not only just the make of the car but also the name of the make of the car you know, like, for instance, the invista, something like that.
• 27:48
Speaker 1: Well, come up with another name for Invista, or another name period that looks like Invista but it's not Invista.
• 27:56
Speaker 4: Well, if it's a lady driver, it could be the Insista, insista, insista.
• 28:00
  Speaker 4: There you go.
• 28:01
Speaker 4: I've got an Invision, so I don't know what.
• 28:03
  Speaker 4: To 2020, envision 2020.
• 28:07
Speaker 4: Insista, insista, there you go.
• 28:10
Speaker 4: Opus would be a good one.
• 28:12
  Speaker 1: Opus mm-hmm, I'm liking it.
• 28:15
Speaker 1: Opus Mars we're going to do your Dodge Durango at the opening of the next segment.
• 28:19
