- 0:31Speaker 1: All right, welcome back to the Business Roundtable podcast. I
- 0:35Speaker 1: have another amazing guest for you this week, a good
- 0:38Speaker 1: friend that I've met along my warrior journey, Brendan Murphy,
- 0:43Speaker 1: the founder of Harmonic Awakenings. And I was talking to Brandon.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'm so glad glad to have him on here because
- 0:50Speaker 1: he's just a man of many talents and experiences and
- 0:53Speaker 1: he's just going to drop some great knowledge and wisdom.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm sure as you listen in, particularly for you guys
- 0:58Speaker 1: out there, we're gonna make this episode really targeting to
- 1:01Speaker 1: men in this this particular episode, because you know, in
- 1:04Speaker 1: this day and age, brend and I were talking about
- 1:06Speaker 1: how do we become uh men of leaders that were
- 1:10Speaker 1: following and how do we how do we go on
- 1:12Speaker 1: this journey And I'm just excited to learn more about
- 1:14Speaker 1: the King's Chamber Brennan and your experience, and we were
- 1:17Speaker 1: just talking about meditation and just this journey of these
- 1:22Speaker 1: different archetypes out there. And so welcome number one Brennon,
- 1:26Speaker 1: just to the Business Round Table of podclast cast. Glad
- 1:29Speaker 1: to have you here.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 1:31Speaker 1: David, Yeah, I would love before we get I mean
- 1:35Speaker 1: just a little bit I want to get into the
- 1:37Speaker 1: King's chamber. But I think that there's so much to you,
- 1:39Speaker 1: Brendan kind of breed. You know, you've had a marketing
- 1:42Speaker 1: agency and now you're coaching, and you've been you know,
- 1:45Speaker 1: been coaching for a while now, and you've worked with
- 1:48Speaker 1: so many different business owners. I would love to hear
- 1:50Speaker 1: just briefly kind of what got you to harmonic awakenings
- 1:54Speaker 1: and why it's so important to you, and you know,
- 1:56Speaker 1: we're going to dig more into this, but a little
- 1:57Speaker 1: bit of your journey and just share that with our
- 2:00Speaker 1: audience today.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd love to do that. So so yeah, essentially,
- 2:08Speaker 2: like you know, most of my life, I was born
- 2:11Speaker 2: into a musical family with a father who was touring musician, singer, songwriter,
- 2:17Speaker 2: and my mother was like really into meditation and I
- 2:22Speaker 2: used to have like, you know, weekly meditation events at
- 2:25Speaker 2: the house. And so between the the you know, my
- 2:29Speaker 2: father's music and my mother's meditation, you know, I was
- 2:32Speaker 2: kind of in a pretty cool situation when I was younger,
- 2:35Speaker 2: and of course when I got a little bit older,
- 2:38Speaker 2: you know, started off on my way. You know, I
- 2:40Speaker 2: had a couple both of my parents were entrepreneurs. Neither
- 2:43Speaker 2: one like worked to day jobs. So I was able
- 2:46Speaker 2: to kind of find a cool flow into just running
- 2:51Speaker 2: my own thing. And so so yeah, I mean I
- 2:55Speaker 2: went through a lot of different phases in life, but
- 2:57Speaker 2: it pretty much went from like musician to music producer
- 3:03Speaker 2: to like marketing guy with a little bit of coach
- 3:09Speaker 2: in there at first. But I had an interesting experience
- 3:13Speaker 2: because after I stopped touring, like, I didn't realize I
- 3:18Speaker 2: was going to go into coaching. This was back in
- 3:19Speaker 2: like twenty nineteen, and I just needed something that I
- 3:22Speaker 2: could do from home that you know, didn't require me
- 3:25Speaker 2: to travel a lot. So anyway, I ended up kind
- 3:31Speaker 2: of stumbling into the whole coaching thing and got my
- 3:35Speaker 2: first group coaching program off the ground after just a
- 3:38Speaker 2: couple of months ending the touring stint, and and kind
- 3:45Speaker 2: of ran into this problem of well how am I
- 3:48Speaker 2: going to grow this business? I don't know how really
- 3:51Speaker 2: to do marketing that well, at least I didn't think
- 3:53Speaker 2: I did time. I wanted you know, automated systems and ads,
- 3:59Speaker 2: and I mean I had this whole idea about how
- 4:02Speaker 2: it was going to be done. So anyway, after I
- 4:05Speaker 2: you know, ran that first group coaching program, I jumped
- 4:08Speaker 2: into a mastermind where I was supposed to learn all
- 4:11Speaker 2: of that, and I learned all this stuff and didn't
- 4:14Speaker 2: really work. So I was kind of stuck in this
- 4:17Speaker 2: position of after like four months, I had only gotten
- 4:20Speaker 2: like a five hundred dollars deposit from one person after
- 4:23Speaker 2: building funnels and running ads and all this stuff, and
- 4:26Speaker 2: what was really kind of at the end of my rope.
- 4:28Speaker 2: And at that point, actually my father got interested. He
- 4:33Speaker 2: was one of the first five people in that group
- 4:35Speaker 2: coaching program, but it was interested in some of the
- 4:37Speaker 2: stuff I was talking about in marketing. Was paying a
- 4:39Speaker 2: marketing agency a bunch of money to help him with stuff,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and they weren't really getting results for him, and said, well,
- 4:45Speaker 2: we're already budgeting this, so we might as well just
- 4:47Speaker 2: transfer it over. You know, do you want to maybe
- 4:50Speaker 2: try to do some of this stuff? And I said, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I can do a better job than
- 4:55Speaker 2: that what you guys are paying for right now, even
- 4:57Speaker 2: though I've never run a marketing agency, and you know,
- 5:01Speaker 2: I understood what needed to be done. So anyway, that
- 5:04Speaker 2: was pretty successful, and we had done over six figures
- 5:06Speaker 2: in sales after a year online with funnels and ads,
- 5:11Speaker 2: and so then I expanded and started working with other
- 5:13Speaker 2: musicians and other people and business owners, and that went
- 5:16Speaker 2: on for years. You know, built a team of six
- 5:19Speaker 2: people ran this thing, but I wasn't able to really
- 5:23Speaker 2: hold the team together, and eventually everything kind of you know,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I realized that it was like I had the marketing thing,
- 5:33Speaker 2: but like the whole leadership thing, I didn't really definitely,
- 5:37Speaker 2: so you know, I couldn't really hold it together, and
- 5:39Speaker 2: I ended up continuing to run the agency in and out.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I would work with, you know, a couple of people
- 5:43Speaker 2: to outsource certain projects, try to train people, but you know,
- 5:48Speaker 2: ended up just sort of, you know, working as like
- 5:51Speaker 2: a freelancer with a little bit of delegation and outsourcing
- 5:55Speaker 2: with my clients. And then, yeah, just kind of last
- 6:00Speaker 2: year in the middle of Warrior Council, where I met
- 6:03Speaker 2: you and a bunch of the other guys that have
- 6:05Speaker 2: been on your podcast, that's when I kind of started
- 6:07Speaker 2: to begin, you know, making the transition back into coaching again.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And that's recently been completed and I've sunset of the agency,
- 6:16Speaker 2: so I don't do done for your marketing anymore. And
- 6:18Speaker 2: that's kind of been my journey through the space. So
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm committed for this year to just really focus on
- 6:25Speaker 2: the coaching aspect of the business, with one core offer
- 6:29Speaker 2: and a couple of smaller events and one mainly the Mastermind,
- 6:35Speaker 2: which is called the King's Chambers. What I'm working on
- 6:37Speaker 2: and Harmonic Awakenings is really more based around meditation and
- 6:42Speaker 2: manifestation in connection to meditation. So it's really just all
- 6:48Speaker 2: about helping people achieve a state of flow where they're
- 6:53Speaker 2: able to you know, guide, be guided by their intuition
- 6:58Speaker 2: and you know, just be connected to a deeper, higher
- 7:03Speaker 2: source than you know, their own human mind. That just
- 7:09Speaker 2: you know, seems to really accelerate people's progress and also
- 7:14Speaker 2: put them in a place of where they can enjoy
- 7:16Speaker 2: what they're what they're gaining, and what they're winning. So
- 7:21Speaker 2: it's been actually, interestingly enough, it's been easier to scale
- 7:27Speaker 2: this than the marketing agency, mainly just because I enjoy
- 7:30Speaker 2: the work, right, so, you know, I don't have this
- 7:34Speaker 2: sort of hesitation to sell somebody because I know that
- 7:39Speaker 2: once I've taken the cash, that like I'm on the
- 7:42Speaker 2: hook for you know, a hard grind of a ton
- 7:44Speaker 2: of you know, marketing work, and you know, and and
- 7:50Speaker 2: so yeah, you know, that's that's actually made it easier.
- 7:53Speaker 2: You know, it's like, I don't know how to say it,
- 7:56Speaker 2: but like I think it's one thing that entrepreneurs oftentimes
- 8:01Speaker 2: struggle with is like it's definitely easier to sell a
- 8:05Speaker 2: done for you service because obviously the person who's buying
- 8:08Speaker 2: it doesn't have to do it, they just pay you
- 8:10Speaker 2: you do it, and then you know that's that the
- 8:14Speaker 2: problem is is that that model is definitely harder to
- 8:17Speaker 2: scale because now you have the issue of like you
- 8:21Speaker 2: can only do so much work yourself for anyone of
- 8:24Speaker 2: any kind, and so now you're in this situation of
- 8:29Speaker 2: where you have to train people to do it. And
- 8:33Speaker 2: you know, it's like you're you're hiring people, you're training,
- 8:36Speaker 2: you're training them, you're oftentimes paying either with your time
- 8:39Speaker 2: or with your money to train them and pay them
- 8:41Speaker 2: to do it. And so you don't actually get out
- 8:44Speaker 2: of the need to like coach people and train people.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Even if you're building a done for you type business.
- 8:51Speaker 2: There's like, even if you're just starting a cleaning company,
- 8:53Speaker 2: like to replace yourself, you have to train people. There's
- 8:56Speaker 2: no way out of it. You're either like you know,
- 8:59Speaker 2: leading and to some degree sort of training or teaching
- 9:03Speaker 2: customers or clients on some level. If they don't follow
- 9:07Speaker 2: your lead, then you can wind up in a position
- 9:09Speaker 2: or even though you're running your own business, you feel
- 9:11Speaker 2: like you're just working a job and just absolutely want
- 9:14Speaker 2: you to do and you know that that's you know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: that feels like a step backwards for people. It's definitely
- 9:21Speaker 2: a myth that just because you run your own business
- 9:23Speaker 2: you have more freedom.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Than Yeah, yeah, definitely, so you know, so there's.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That, and then what else. There's also the whole thing
- 9:34Speaker 2: about like like if you if you're like coaching people
- 9:44Speaker 2: or you're or you're training people, then it's like, well,
- 9:48Speaker 2: you're you're actually selling the transference of knowledge and skill
- 9:52Speaker 2: directly to them. And so either way, like you have
- 9:57Speaker 2: to do it, and you find in this you find
- 10:00Speaker 2: yourself in this position as an entrepreneur where you can't
- 10:02Speaker 2: escape the necessity to step into a leadership role and
- 10:06Speaker 2: try to transfer your knowledge and skill to other people,
- 10:10Speaker 2: because whether it's with clients or employees or whatever it is,
- 10:16Speaker 2: you have to do it otherwise you can't replace yourself
- 10:18Speaker 2: and you can't grow your business beyond yourself.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, well I'm excited to dive into some of these
- 10:24Speaker 1: architects and understanding because what you one of the things
- 10:27Speaker 1: you were talking about, Brandon in this journey that I
- 10:29Speaker 1: heard you say was just finding this kind of this
- 10:31Speaker 1: true place leading yourself, getting yourself in this healthy place
- 10:36Speaker 1: to the way you can transfer knowledge. Well, and of
- 10:38Speaker 1: course we can sell lots of things, but the people
- 10:41Speaker 1: that sell, if you will, the things that they're really
- 10:43Speaker 1: passionate about, that that's I think the best place to be.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I mean, you've been I'm sure you've been sold by
- 10:50Speaker 1: people that you're like, do you really believe in this
- 10:52Speaker 1: product or service? Like, not really, but I've been paid
- 10:54Speaker 1: as a salesperson, you know, Like you can tell the
- 10:56Speaker 1: difference between somebody that really believes it and is involved
- 11:00Speaker 1: and engaged with that, and how can they you know,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I think that's so important and along their journey, Like
- 11:07Speaker 1: you said, Okay, I did this marketing agency, but that
- 11:09Speaker 1: wasn't quite for me, you know. And I you know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you're still a successful musician. You've brought that, You've infused
- 11:15Speaker 1: that with the meditation, but I think, you know, I
- 11:18Speaker 1: want to encourage people that are listening to the Business
- 11:20Speaker 1: round Table podcast, is that we're in a pursuit to
- 11:22Speaker 1: help you be you know, the most effective leader, whether
- 11:26Speaker 1: you're the business owner or you're leading a team, you're
- 11:30Speaker 1: a director, you're you're an entrepreneur within the company. And
- 11:34Speaker 1: I've invited Brennan here because he's got unique skills and
- 11:39Speaker 1: experiences that although there's some parallels that we have, there's
- 11:43Speaker 1: it's very unique. Like we just talked about the very
- 11:45Speaker 1: beginning of this of your journey, Brandon, and so I
- 11:48Speaker 1: love to have different voices talk and share to give
- 11:51Speaker 1: you maybe a different perspective and what it looks like
- 11:53Speaker 1: to lead your business. Well, so if you wouldn't mind
- 11:56Speaker 1: brandan kind of like get us to you know this
- 11:59Speaker 1: this we were talking about, like this archetypal journey that
- 12:03Speaker 1: people go through. And obviously you go group greater in
- 12:06Speaker 1: detail in this king Chamber, but just kind of for
- 12:09Speaker 1: people that maybe have never heard of archetypes in journeys
- 12:13Speaker 1: and you know, the mythologies and I'm a big on
- 12:15Speaker 1: like Joseph Campbell and following the hero's journey and there's
- 12:18Speaker 1: lots of things there, but maybe there's some people that have, Hey,
- 12:21Speaker 1: this is new to them. They haven't heard this before.
- 12:23Speaker 1: They don't even considered this. And what's your kind of
- 12:26Speaker 1: unique perspective on this right in?
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well, archetypes, you know, is a very broad topic
- 12:33Speaker 2: because you have everything from uh, you know, astrological signs
- 12:38Speaker 2: to you know, esoteric you know, systems like the Kabbala too,
- 12:48Speaker 2: you know, like I mean, it just it kind of
- 12:53Speaker 2: goes on and on. But in this case, we're really
- 12:56Speaker 2: just dealing with four arch types and inside of the
- 13:01Speaker 2: King's chamber in the context of the work that I
- 13:03Speaker 2: do with men in relation to building businesses. They're actually roles.
- 13:11Speaker 2: They're roles that you play, and there's both this large
- 13:15Speaker 2: arc of what a man goes through in life that
- 13:20Speaker 2: spans years or decades when it comes to switching these
- 13:23Speaker 2: roles out, and then there's also the smaller arc that
- 13:28Speaker 2: once you sort of master each of these roles, you
- 13:32Speaker 2: can go through the cycle faster and build more. And
- 13:36Speaker 2: the key thing to understand about these and I'll get
- 13:39Speaker 2: into what they are in a minute, is that, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 2: they're kind of this natural way that men move through power.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's just like the four seasons of you know, spring, summer,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you know, fall, winter, and then it comes back again.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It's a natural cycle and it's very unif and that's
- 14:02Speaker 2: why it's so powerful and why it can be applied
- 14:05Speaker 2: to men who are at any stage of their business
- 14:08Speaker 2: development in understanding how this stuff works, because you know,
- 14:12Speaker 2: if you look at it from a linear perspective, you
- 14:16Speaker 2: can really get confused because you think there's some ultimate
- 14:18Speaker 2: place that you're going to wind up where you're at
- 14:21Speaker 2: the top and now you don't need to do anything,
- 14:23Speaker 2: and that that's not good, right. So looking at it
- 14:26Speaker 2: this way has proven to be very useful and allowed
- 14:29Speaker 2: me as a coach to work with guys you know,
- 14:32Speaker 2: who are anywhere from just starting a new business that
- 14:36Speaker 2: they end they have never really started one before, to
- 14:39Speaker 2: you know, they already have a business that has eighty
- 14:43Speaker 2: clients at once, and you know they're they're trying to
- 14:47Speaker 2: remove themselves from the business and and and delegate, you know,
- 14:53Speaker 2: so that they can work on something else. Yes, regardless
- 14:57Speaker 2: of where you're at in your you know, business building journey,
- 15:01Speaker 2: whether you've had one company, whether you've had ten, if
- 15:05Speaker 2: you get this and you really understand how these archetypes
- 15:08Speaker 2: work and you're able to move fluidly within them, you're
- 15:11Speaker 2: not going to get stuck anywhere, because you'll understand the
- 15:16Speaker 2: natural flow of energy of how men move through power,
- 15:18Speaker 2: and you can apply it to yourself. You can also
- 15:20Speaker 2: use it as a framework to help lead other people
- 15:23Speaker 2: and make sure they don't get stuck, either whether it's
- 15:25Speaker 2: your employees or your mind.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think that's well, you know me because I have
- 15:29Speaker 1: a background and environmental consulting back and I love the
- 15:33Speaker 1: natural rhythms. There are natural rhythms throughout our world, the tides,
- 15:38Speaker 1: the moon, the seasons, and so I think, you know,
- 15:42Speaker 1: the world that we live in has this, but if
- 15:44Speaker 1: we try to kind of force it or try to
- 15:47Speaker 1: force it away, that's not natural, not and and we
- 15:50Speaker 1: try to like, well I only want to stay in summer,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and you're like, well there is there. You can't stay
- 15:54Speaker 1: in summer. It just doesn't work that way, you know.
- 15:57Speaker 1: So you can try to pretend, but it doesn't work
- 15:59Speaker 1: that way. So thinking about I love how you're presenting this, Brennan, Like,
- 16:03Speaker 1: are you aware of the season or that you're in?
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm using the season you're you may have another word there,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but are you aware in what what role or what
- 16:12Speaker 1: place right now? And what is that looking like for you? So, yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I'm very interested learn more about the archetypes and hopefully
- 16:19Speaker 1: people are listening to them and they're thinking where am
- 16:21Speaker 1: I in this journey?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Mm hmm yeah definitely okay, So so yeah, if you want,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I can just kind of dive into it and start
- 16:30Speaker 2: to explain what's what's going on. So if you kind
- 16:37Speaker 2: of envision just like a wheel right like this, you
- 16:45Speaker 2: have probably the best way to look at it is
- 16:48Speaker 2: I put if if the wheels turning clockwise like so
- 16:54Speaker 2: right at about the three o'clock spot. This is where
- 17:00Speaker 2: we kind of start as young boys, and I mean
- 17:03Speaker 2: really young like baby boys, And it's in the arc
- 17:07Speaker 2: type of the lover. And this is a this is
- 17:09Speaker 2: an archetype where there's no other where it's like everything
- 17:12Speaker 2: is one. You know, all you know is love. There's
- 17:16Speaker 2: no fear, and it's just this total flow. Right. So
- 17:20Speaker 2: babies are in this state. They experience emotion, they might
- 17:24Speaker 2: cry sometimes, they might laugh sometimes, but like they have
- 17:27Speaker 2: no fear, right Like you know, probably as a father
- 17:30Speaker 2: and little kids are like what are you doing? They
- 17:33Speaker 2: don't have any fear. So, like they'll crawl right off
- 17:35Speaker 2: a countertop or run right off a ledge unless you
- 17:39Speaker 2: go and grab them. And in many ways that's beautiful
- 17:46Speaker 2: right to be in a place that's fearless. Right, So
- 17:50Speaker 2: you know, and is one thing that tends to happen
- 17:53Speaker 2: when you have children is that as a man, it
- 17:58Speaker 2: will naturally kind of start to pull you back into
- 18:01Speaker 2: that lover arc type if you you know, if you
- 18:06Speaker 2: have made it far enough around the wheel. The problem
- 18:10Speaker 2: is is that a lot of men they really haven't
- 18:12Speaker 2: made it far enough by the time that happens, and
- 18:15Speaker 2: so it ends up being a state of tension. So
- 18:18Speaker 2: a lot of men are very afraid to become fathers
- 18:22Speaker 2: because they haven't really gotten to go back to the
- 18:26Speaker 2: lover after you're a young boy requires you go around
- 18:28Speaker 2: the wheel. So so let me explain this. So, so
- 18:34Speaker 2: a man between about the ages of one to three
- 18:37Speaker 2: is in that lover arc type and is basically completely
- 18:40Speaker 2: bonded with his mother. And around the age of two
- 18:45Speaker 2: or three, something happens. The mind develops enough that the
- 18:49Speaker 2: boy can start to use language and is able to
- 18:52Speaker 2: sort of project his imagination on some level. And this
- 18:56Speaker 2: is where it's like the mind is now at a
- 19:00Speaker 2: place of where it becomes kind of its own little world.
- 19:04Speaker 2: And that time of development is often also when like
- 19:11Speaker 2: you know, little boys will tell their first lie, where
- 19:14Speaker 2: they'll start to like, you know, try to play tricks
- 19:17Speaker 2: on other people or try to find clever ways to
- 19:20Speaker 2: manipulate or get out of things. And so that's when
- 19:26Speaker 2: you move from the arc type of the lover to
- 19:28Speaker 2: the what I call the magician, So the arc type
- 19:32Speaker 2: of the magician. And this is something that you know,
- 19:36Speaker 2: a lot of friends of mine who are Christian kind
- 19:40Speaker 2: of object to it. They're like, you know, one guy
- 19:42Speaker 2: was like, well, why don't you call it the miracle
- 19:44Speaker 2: worker or something. It's like, no, the magician really is
- 19:46Speaker 2: the right way to say it, because the reality is
- 19:49Speaker 2: is that the magician, the magician's cleverness, the magician's ingenuity
- 19:56Speaker 2: and inventiveness is actually primary only driven by fear. Because
- 20:03Speaker 2: this is when you know, when boys come to no fear.
- 20:08Speaker 2: This is this is why people tell lies they're afraid
- 20:10Speaker 2: of something. All that deception and manipulation and all the
- 20:14Speaker 2: rest of that, it's all fear motivated. People are trying
- 20:19Speaker 2: to avoid some kind of consequence, and this drives a
- 20:23Speaker 2: massive amount of inventiveness and cleverness in the world. You know,
- 20:27Speaker 2: you think about it, and you think about all the
- 20:29Speaker 2: inventions of war, everything from like guns to the atomic bomb.
- 20:33Speaker 2: It's all fear driven cleverness, but you know, very destructive
- 20:36Speaker 2: and you know, as smart as it might be in
- 20:40Speaker 2: some ways, as clever as it might be, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 2: it obviously has its limitations and its ability to improve
- 20:47Speaker 2: the situation. In fact, there's nothing more than the work
- 20:51Speaker 2: of the magician can be the most destructive thing ever,
- 20:54Speaker 2: because you know, it tends to be since it's driven
- 20:59Speaker 2: by the root of all negative emotion, which is fear.
- 21:03Speaker 2: People who get stuck in the arc type of the
- 21:05Speaker 2: magician tend to suppress emotion entirely, and because it's necessary
- 21:13Speaker 2: if they are going to try to avoid or destroy
- 21:16Speaker 2: or lie or manipulate or whatever. So because you know,
- 21:20Speaker 2: fear is the opposite of love, so it kind of
- 21:22Speaker 2: goes from love to fear. Okay, first, little turn right,
- 21:26Speaker 2: and they're just kind of at the bottom of the wheel,
- 21:29Speaker 2: right at the six o'clock position. Got it. And so
- 21:34Speaker 2: then unfortunately, this is where a lot of men just
- 21:38Speaker 2: get stuck. And the reason for this is because with
- 21:44Speaker 2: enough cleverness and intelligence, I mean, it's it's pretty amazing
- 21:47Speaker 2: what you can manipulate and lie and deceive your way into.
- 21:51Speaker 2: You can get yourself in a position of power, You
- 21:53Speaker 2: can build an entire company, you can get yourself into
- 21:57Speaker 2: all kinds of stuff in them materialistic world where a
- 22:01Speaker 2: lot of people really they don't value anything but like
- 22:04Speaker 2: more stuff and more money. The reality is that the
- 22:08Speaker 2: skills of the Magician are sufficient to get that. It's
- 22:11Speaker 2: just that the means by which they're obtained might not
- 22:15Speaker 2: be you know, good or in inegrity. Right, So there's
- 22:22Speaker 2: an there's an ethical problem that starts to develop that
- 22:26Speaker 2: that ends up creating the situation where men who get
- 22:29Speaker 2: stuck in the Magician because of the lies, because of
- 22:32Speaker 2: the deception, because of all these things, if they don't
- 22:35Speaker 2: start to move out of it and overcome their fear,
- 22:39Speaker 2: then they start to get weighed down by guilt and shame,
- 22:42Speaker 2: and it creates this place of where there's this negative
- 22:47Speaker 2: feedback loop that just sort of if it gets bad enough,
- 22:53Speaker 2: what ends up happening is it ends up reversing the
- 22:57Speaker 2: whole flow of movement around this circle back into the lover,
- 23:01Speaker 2: except it's degraded. By being degraded, it's like, actually love
- 23:06Speaker 2: is lost because it's still being degraded by fear, but
- 23:08Speaker 2: you have you know, all of the sort of because
- 23:12Speaker 2: the magicians all driven by deception. What you wind up
- 23:16Speaker 2: with is the appearance of love, usually in the form
- 23:19Speaker 2: of lust and pleasure and things like that, and everything
- 23:24Speaker 2: starts to go backwards in this kind of crazy reverse spiral.
- 23:29Speaker 2: And so then you have guys who, you know, they
- 23:31Speaker 2: get into their magician energy and they have all this money,
- 23:34Speaker 2: and they have all these sports cars and all this stuff,
- 23:36Speaker 2: but they're lying and cheating and deceiting, and you know,
- 23:41Speaker 2: they got you know, they might have a wife, but
- 23:44Speaker 2: they have like a couple of girls on the side,
- 23:46Speaker 2: and you know, you just wind up with the situation
- 23:49Speaker 2: where even if they might be good in business, they're
- 23:51Speaker 2: actually you know, kind of not really fulfilled or happy. Yes,
- 23:56Speaker 2: material success, right, A lot of American men wind up
- 23:59Speaker 2: in this base so and a lot of them never
- 24:03Speaker 2: get out of that because they don't figure out how
- 24:05Speaker 2: to reverse that flow. It's very difficult once you have
- 24:08Speaker 2: momentum going in that other direction because you've driven enough
- 24:11Speaker 2: by fear and you're going counterclockwise around the circle. Then
- 24:15Speaker 2: what ends up happening is you pass out of the
- 24:17Speaker 2: lever and reverse and you wind up a tyrant and
- 24:20Speaker 2: it just keeps getting worse and you end up losing
- 24:24Speaker 2: everything ultimately.
- 24:26Speaker 1: So how do how do we break out of that? Yeah, like,
- 24:29Speaker 1: IM sure this is part of your journey, but what
- 24:30Speaker 1: what's what if if we if we you know, because
- 24:33Speaker 1: I you know you and I we've been a warrior
- 24:35Speaker 1: and we know about you know, stop lying and really
- 24:38Speaker 1: stop living. And I agree with you. We all have
- 24:40Speaker 1: a form of lying, mostly to ourselves other people. So
- 24:46Speaker 1: how do you what is that you know, if you
- 24:49Speaker 1: can break through the lies, break through the deception, like
- 24:52Speaker 1: you're saying, Brennan, how do we what what? What's the journey?
- 24:56Speaker 1: How do we get to the next part of the
- 24:57Speaker 1: journey or Yeah, well here's the.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Thing that you have to realize to get out of that.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Because of course the next arch type is the warrior,
- 25:08Speaker 2: which is just fascinating because this is where all the work,
- 25:12Speaker 2: you know, Garat White has done an warrior, it's all
- 25:14Speaker 2: relevant to this arc type. It's really all designed to
- 25:17Speaker 2: move men out of the magician into the warrior. And
- 25:21Speaker 2: so that's all very well documented in you know, the
- 25:24Speaker 2: whole warrior process, and the essence of it is that
- 25:30Speaker 2: you have to just sort of realize that anything that
- 25:33Speaker 2: you're building based on lies and deception as a limited
- 25:38Speaker 2: life span. And the more you build, you're kind of
- 25:42Speaker 2: building a tower of Babbel, right, Like more power you
- 25:46Speaker 2: get and the more gains you get in that are
- 25:49Speaker 2: ill gotten. You can keep building and keep building and
- 25:53Speaker 2: if you can sustain it for a lifetime, but when
- 25:57Speaker 2: it collapses, it falls very hard, right, as they say,
- 26:04Speaker 2: you know, oh, how the mighty have fallen, right, And
- 26:10Speaker 2: so you can see, you know, from the collapse of
- 26:12Speaker 2: empires to all kinds of examples of guys going the
- 26:16Speaker 2: other way around the circle where they continue to be
- 26:21Speaker 2: fear driven, that even if you become the emperor, it
- 26:24Speaker 2: all ends very badly for you. You know, you look
- 26:27Speaker 2: at like, you know, a Hitler is a great example, right,
- 26:31Speaker 2: So so yeah, I mean it's it's just like a
- 26:35Speaker 2: lot of what Garrett says, it's just like stop fucking lying, right,
- 26:41Speaker 2: But of course, I mean it's very simple, but it's
- 26:46Speaker 2: not easy because you have all this momentum and if
- 26:48Speaker 2: you're gonna stop lying and tell the truth, because obviously
- 26:52Speaker 2: there's the lies of comission where you're speaking things that
- 26:55Speaker 2: are false and lots of omission where you're hiding what's
- 26:58Speaker 2: true and you're not speaking it. When you make that
- 27:02Speaker 2: reversal from deceiving and lying to telling the truth, all
- 27:07Speaker 2: the stuff you've built on the deception begins to crumble.
- 27:12Speaker 2: You actually accelerate its decay until it completely collapses. And
- 27:16Speaker 2: you have to because if you don't get rid of
- 27:18Speaker 2: that and you don't allow it to collapse, you're never
- 27:21Speaker 2: able to get the momentum going the other way. Yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 2: so that's really kind of the first battle of the
- 27:27Speaker 2: warrior is to make that determination and summon the courage
- 27:32Speaker 2: to tell the truth, because if you don't someon the
- 27:34Speaker 2: courage to do that, you're just going to keep you know,
- 27:38Speaker 2: building and burning. Right, the kingdom keeps building and burning,
- 27:42Speaker 2: and nothing lasts, and you lose your house and your
- 27:45Speaker 2: girlfriend and your business over and over again. And when
- 27:48Speaker 2: it happens, it pretty much all happens at once, you know,
- 27:51Speaker 2: with one swoop, right, Well, we've all probably been through
- 27:54Speaker 2: that because that's the default thing that guys go through,
- 27:57Speaker 2: right until they get stuff. So so yeah, so you know,
- 28:03Speaker 2: you move into the warrior, and that's really all about courage.
- 28:06Speaker 2: It's about finding a heart again and summoning the courage
- 28:11Speaker 2: to move out of fear and into love again. In
- 28:14Speaker 2: some level, the problem is is that now, even though
- 28:19Speaker 2: you're moving into love, there's duality, right, because in the
- 28:24Speaker 2: lover there's unity, there's no duality. When you move into
- 28:28Speaker 2: the magician, now there creates this sort of cleft of
- 28:32Speaker 2: where it's like you and what you're afraid of and
- 28:35Speaker 2: trying to avoid that. And then in the warrior the
- 28:38Speaker 2: duality is still there, you know, because you're in this
- 28:41Speaker 2: battle right where you're taking action. You're taking action, you're
- 28:44Speaker 2: grinding away, you're hacking away, you're doing what's necessary to
- 28:47Speaker 2: fight for your family and build your business and do
- 28:49Speaker 2: your thing and tell the truth. But it's a battle
- 28:52Speaker 2: and it's hard, yeah, and it's exhausting, and the reality
- 29:00Speaker 2: is is like you're not going to win on your own. Yes,
- 29:07Speaker 2: that's the problem with the warrior. That's the problem with
- 29:09Speaker 2: the warrior archetype is that there's only so far you
- 29:13Speaker 2: can take all of this yourself. Yeah, because you know
- 29:18Speaker 2: you're surrounded by people and you have limitations. You build
- 29:21Speaker 2: a business, you're going to be limited in how much
- 29:23Speaker 2: income you can generate for yourself and your family, if
- 29:26Speaker 2: you're just operating on your own, and then if if
- 29:29Speaker 2: nobody's following your lead, even in your family, because it's
- 29:32Speaker 2: not just business, it's also your personal life that nobody,
- 29:37Speaker 2: nobody wants to follow your leader, you're not even offering
- 29:41Speaker 2: that or getting yourself in a situation where that's possible,
- 29:45Speaker 2: then you wind up kind of in this in this
- 29:49Speaker 2: battle where it's like you just feel so overwhelmed and
- 29:55Speaker 2: in many cases like lonely. You might be fighting the
- 29:59Speaker 2: good fight, you might be doing the right things. You
- 30:01Speaker 2: might be, you know, in a place of where you're
- 30:04Speaker 2: doing okay, you're doing better than you were when you
- 30:07Speaker 2: were stuck in the Magician. But the one of the
- 30:10Speaker 2: sacrifices that's often necessary to get out of the Magician
- 30:14Speaker 2: is like, since you're letting what you built on lies
- 30:17Speaker 2: and deception crumble, there's this place of where even though
- 30:20Speaker 2: you're moving up the wheel now and you're in a
- 30:22Speaker 2: better place, oftentimes guys have to let go of relationships, businesses,
- 30:28Speaker 2: you know how all kinds of things.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Just just go to the word because I was built
- 30:33Speaker 1: on lies. I mean right, you're going musicians and this
- 30:35Speaker 1: stuff is built on livees. So you don't want to
- 30:36Speaker 1: keep holding onto the lies, right you're fighting, so you
- 30:40Speaker 1: do have and that's painful times to let go of
- 30:42Speaker 1: those things.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Right, absolutely, there's a heavy price to pay for telling
- 30:47Speaker 2: the truth and exposing yourself and letting go of all
- 30:50Speaker 2: that stuff. And it could really like the whole life
- 30:53Speaker 2: that you've built on lies has to go. And the
- 30:56Speaker 2: thing is is that you really don't even have a
- 30:59Speaker 2: chance of winning until you've completely let all of it go.
- 31:04Speaker 2: If you hold on to even a small bit of it,
- 31:07Speaker 2: it's going to be enough weight to drag you down.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And even though most of you might get into the Warrior,
- 31:13Speaker 2: you'll never get all of you into the Warrior. Some
- 31:16Speaker 2: of you will stay stuck in the Magician, and because
- 31:18Speaker 2: of that, you'll never move to the next arc type,
- 31:21Speaker 2: which is the King. Okay, so in order to in
- 31:27Speaker 2: order to move to the king archtype. It's interesting because
- 31:33Speaker 2: you know, part of what makes it so hard for
- 31:35Speaker 2: people is that what you have to do to get
- 31:38Speaker 2: into one of these is often what you have to
- 31:41Speaker 2: stop doing to get out. So you know, so when
- 31:46Speaker 2: you move from Magician into Warrior, that really means doing
- 31:49Speaker 2: more and taking more action and being less mental and
- 31:54Speaker 2: relying less on cleverness and more on like hard work
- 31:57Speaker 2: and massive action. Okay, but to get out of the
- 32:01Speaker 2: warrior and into the king you have to do less,
- 32:04Speaker 2: not more. And the only way you can get away
- 32:09Speaker 2: with that when you've built a kingdom and you've created
- 32:12Speaker 2: this whole thing, it's not even really a kingdom at
- 32:13Speaker 2: that point. It's more of just like you're fighting the fight, right,
- 32:16Speaker 2: it's like it's a war, yeah, because you haven't gotten
- 32:20Speaker 2: victory yet, right, So so you have to you have
- 32:27Speaker 2: to do less actually because and the reason for that
- 32:30Speaker 2: is that it's not just more action that wins the battle,
- 32:37Speaker 2: it's the right kind of action. And it's also to
- 32:44Speaker 2: get any leverage on your own time. To get to
- 32:47Speaker 2: a place of where you can go beyond what's possible
- 32:50Speaker 2: for one person, you have to you have to actually
- 32:55Speaker 2: you have to take responsibility for things, but you have
- 32:58Speaker 2: to let go of control of them. Otherwise you can
- 33:03Speaker 2: never effectively delegate because micro managing every person that you
- 33:07Speaker 2: give to the job, you're not really allowing them to
- 33:10Speaker 2: shine and step into any kind of leadership themselves.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that's just what Just because you're you're just
- 33:19Speaker 1: you're you're describing to me and in some ways, you
- 33:23Speaker 1: know the solopuneur, right, the warrior, I'm doing it all myself,
- 33:28Speaker 1: and now I'm I've got to bring a team around
- 33:31Speaker 1: me to build the kingdom. And if if I know
- 33:34Speaker 1: all the answers, that's that's not right. You have to
- 33:37Speaker 1: have other people that have answers, Like you said, letting
- 33:39Speaker 1: control go. And I think a lot of people that's
- 33:42Speaker 1: interesting because you fought so hard. You're doing this work
- 33:45Speaker 1: like I'm doing it, and then you're like, but I
- 33:48Speaker 1: have to let other people come in and have the
- 33:50Speaker 1: answers and and fight the battles, and and and I
- 33:53Speaker 1: don't have all the quote unquote answers, right, I mean,
- 33:56Speaker 1: that's that is a challenge of letting go, Like you said,
- 33:58Speaker 1: what I have to stop doing what I have to
- 34:00Speaker 1: start doing to move from that warrior two king And
- 34:06Speaker 1: that's you could see that could be really hard too, right, Well.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I mean, and you might even have all the answers.
- 34:12Speaker 2: The problem is that answers aren't going to win a
- 34:14Speaker 2: war for you. Yeah, you know, swords, you need more
- 34:19Speaker 2: sword arms. You know, you need more more crossbowmen, you
- 34:22Speaker 2: need you need more warriors, right, just one warrior can't
- 34:26Speaker 2: win the war, right even because you're you're storming the
- 34:31Speaker 2: fortress and you know it's a siege. So like, you know,
- 34:36Speaker 2: even if you're the most incredible warrior, even if you're Cone,
- 34:40Speaker 2: the barbarian, you know meets like you know, I don't know,
- 34:46Speaker 2: like like your Conan the Barbarian meets the terminator. Just
- 34:49Speaker 2: really don't have a chance. You're gonna get taken out
- 34:53Speaker 2: by yourself because it's for any one person. You can't
- 34:57Speaker 2: run a kingdom yourself. So even if you take the castle,
- 35:01Speaker 2: well what what what's going to happen after that? How
- 35:03Speaker 2: are you going to manage the whole thing? So you
- 35:07Speaker 2: have to get other people on board with what you're doing.
- 35:10Speaker 2: And you know what's interesting about that is that now
- 35:14Speaker 2: you're moving into a little bit of a whole different
- 35:18Speaker 2: thing where it's like it's about it becomes about you know,
- 35:23Speaker 2: creating roles and storytelling and offering people opportunity, and it
- 35:27Speaker 2: becomes more about speaking than doing. Actually, when you move
- 35:32Speaker 2: into the king energy, it's actually more connected to the
- 35:36Speaker 2: magician than it is to the warrior, because you can
- 35:38Speaker 2: there's there's interesting connections between the.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Because if you're looking at that circle, that twelve in
- 35:43Speaker 1: the in the six.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. So yeah, because the king's at the twelve,
- 35:47Speaker 2: the magicians at the six. So what's interesting is really
- 35:51Speaker 2: to move into the king energy, you cannot do it
- 35:53Speaker 2: on your own. And the first person you're probably going
- 35:56Speaker 2: to need as a magician to help you figure out
- 35:59Speaker 2: what to do and how to do it because you
- 36:01Speaker 2: don't have all the answers probably, you know, And so
- 36:06Speaker 2: you know, this is where you see even in historical
- 36:10Speaker 2: examples of virtually every empire in kingdom, the king always
- 36:15Speaker 2: had this right hand man or person behind the throne
- 36:18Speaker 2: or really a left hand man who was sort of
- 36:21Speaker 2: the strategist and architect of how he was going to
- 36:25Speaker 2: solve all the problems, you know. And then he also
- 36:29Speaker 2: had a warrior to go actually leave the armies and
- 36:32Speaker 2: do that, you know. So you know, a king really
- 36:35Speaker 2: needs to really move into kingship. It's almost like you
- 36:40Speaker 2: have to get a few other guys around you that
- 36:44Speaker 2: can play the other roles, right. You even need on
- 36:48Speaker 2: the lover side, it's either going to be like your
- 36:50Speaker 2: queen becomes the lover for you, or you know, and
- 36:55Speaker 2: possibly and like someone like the court jester to add
- 36:59Speaker 2: a little bit of fun and you know, enjoyment and
- 37:01Speaker 2: artistry into your court because otherwise it's just an endless
- 37:05Speaker 2: list of tasks to be done and problems to be
- 37:07Speaker 2: figured out, and it gets incredibly boring and it just
- 37:10Speaker 2: destroys your soul. Even if you're the emperor, you need
- 37:12Speaker 2: some entertainment, You need some fun in your life, right
- 37:17Speaker 2: because it's a lot and the crown is a heavy
- 37:19Speaker 2: thing to wear, absolutely, so you know, so you can
- 37:23Speaker 2: rise into kingship kind of when you kind of get
- 37:25Speaker 2: all of them and you learn to kind of lead,
- 37:28Speaker 2: and you've got some other guys around you that can
- 37:29Speaker 2: help help you, you know, figure the problems out, take
- 37:32Speaker 2: the actions, and you know, add some some fun and
- 37:35Speaker 2: spark to it, you know, and and a queen probably
- 37:40Speaker 2: too is going to help a lot. So, yeah, you
- 37:44Speaker 2: got those key things in place, and now you're in
- 37:47Speaker 2: the king archetype. But of course you know it's not over.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And this is where kind of the the big lie
- 37:56Speaker 2: or the big deception is is that once you're in
- 37:58Speaker 2: that place of power, that now like you're at the
- 38:02Speaker 2: top of the pyramid and you control everything, so like
- 38:06Speaker 2: you're God. Basically a lot of guys let it get
- 38:10Speaker 2: to their heads. And the problem with that is that
- 38:14Speaker 2: the people who have the most are always subject to
- 38:17Speaker 2: the greatest temptations. When men get into this power position,
- 38:23Speaker 2: this is oftentimes when you know, they start to lose it.
- 38:30Speaker 2: You know, like, yeah, they might have the queen, they
- 38:32Speaker 2: might have the wife, but then they get the mistress,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and then they get a couple of other things going on,
- 38:36Speaker 2: and then they've got all. Everybody wants a piece of
- 38:38Speaker 2: you when you're the king, I want to because you
- 38:40Speaker 2: have the power, you have the wealth, you have all
- 38:42Speaker 2: the control and all every You're like the god of
- 38:46Speaker 2: your kingdom, and everybody wants something from you, and so
- 38:50Speaker 2: it becomes a really serious problem. In fact, it's more
- 38:53Speaker 2: difficult to deal with and solve this problem than any
- 38:56Speaker 2: of the problems that are in the other archives. So
- 39:00Speaker 2: even though you have all these benefits of you know,
- 39:02Speaker 2: you don't have to do everything yourself, and you've got
- 39:04Speaker 2: people to think for you, and you've got people to
- 39:07Speaker 2: even add some you know, spice to your kingdom, the
- 39:13Speaker 2: problem is is that now everyone's paying attention to you,
- 39:19Speaker 2: and you know, you have a hard time getting getting
- 39:21Speaker 2: any time for yourself. It starts to get exhausting just
- 39:25Speaker 2: dealing with all the meetings and all the you know,
- 39:28Speaker 2: training and all the all just all these tasks, you know,
- 39:32Speaker 2: and and it just becomes exhausting, right, and it puts
- 39:37Speaker 2: wrinkles on your forehead. And you know, politicians know exactly
- 39:42Speaker 2: what this is like, because that's you know, of all
- 39:45Speaker 2: professions we see, they're trying to go straight for that.
- 39:48Speaker 2: They're trying to go straight for ruling, right being making energy.
- 39:52Speaker 2: And I think it's one of the wisest choices that
- 39:58Speaker 2: that you know, our country has made because we kind
- 40:01Speaker 2: of seem to start this trend is to put a
- 40:03Speaker 2: time limit on how long a man can sit in
- 40:06Speaker 2: the on.
- 40:07Speaker 1: The throne of human conditions.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Huh, right, exactly, you know, And because if you stay
- 40:15Speaker 2: there too long and you get stuck there, it's the
- 40:17Speaker 2: worst place of all to get stuck because you're you're
- 40:21Speaker 2: not God. Ultimately, you are going to be subject to temptations,
- 40:25Speaker 2: You're not perfect, you can't do everything, You're not going
- 40:27Speaker 2: to make all the all your decisions aren't going to
- 40:29Speaker 2: be perfect, and you know you're going to get in
- 40:32Speaker 2: a place of where you just want your life back
- 40:36Speaker 2: right and now, This is where guys who build businesses
- 40:39Speaker 2: like they want to sell the business, right, they want
- 40:43Speaker 2: to get out of it, you know, they wanna they
- 40:44Speaker 2: want to sell. And then but then they find it's
- 40:47Speaker 2: not not so easy to just sell the business. The
- 40:50Speaker 2: person who's buying it needs to know how to run it.
- 40:52Speaker 2: And so now it's like you gotta you can sell it,
- 40:54Speaker 2: but you kind of got to hang out. So make
- 40:56Speaker 2: sure that the people who are got it, you know,
- 40:58Speaker 2: know how to run it properly. And then there's this
- 41:00Speaker 2: whole process of replacing yourself and you know, doing it
- 41:05Speaker 2: in a way that's conscious and effective instead of just
- 41:08Speaker 2: by abdication and watching some guy come into that position
- 41:12Speaker 2: and making a whole mess of it. Right, So, at
- 41:16Speaker 2: some point in the after you've been in that king
- 41:19Speaker 2: energy long enough, you're gonna you're gonna be wanting to
- 41:22Speaker 2: make the next turn and going back from that twelve
- 41:25Speaker 2: o'clock position to the three o'clock again, which is into
- 41:28Speaker 2: the lover. Right. This is where it's like you're so
- 41:30Speaker 2: exhausted running the kingdom that now it's like you just
- 41:34Speaker 2: want to go play. You know, you want to go
- 41:37Speaker 2: on vacation, You want to you want to go make art.
- 41:39Speaker 2: You want to do something that's you know, totally impractical
- 41:43Speaker 2: and just fun. Right, And this is like you you
- 41:47Speaker 2: kind of almost become a kid again in a way.
- 41:49Speaker 2: You're discovering the joyous beauty of play and creativity. And
- 41:53Speaker 2: if you don't make that turn, then it's like, yeah,
- 41:56Speaker 2: you could be the emperor of the world, but it's
- 41:59Speaker 2: no fun. So what's the point, right, Like, what's the
- 42:03Speaker 2: value is that? Right?
- 42:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, you be the.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Biggest fool in the world. And so yeah, nobody really
- 42:12Speaker 2: wants to live in a kingdom like that, and so
- 42:15Speaker 2: kings that don't make that turn and eventually allow the
- 42:21Speaker 2: next you know, generation or the next person or whatever
- 42:24Speaker 2: to kind of come in. It's like they don't they
- 42:29Speaker 2: don't get to experience the benefits of all the work
- 42:32Speaker 2: they've done in their lives up till that point. You know,
- 42:35Speaker 2: they don't get to live in the built because they're
- 42:38Speaker 2: too busy running it. And so that's kind of what happens.
- 42:42Speaker 2: So then you move into that and you know, a
- 42:44Speaker 2: man can go through many of these cycles. You know,
- 42:46Speaker 2: you have serial entrepreneurs or guys who built companies and
- 42:50Speaker 2: sold them over and over again and what you find
- 42:52Speaker 2: is building wealth really is about how quickly can you
- 42:56Speaker 2: move from one to the next. It's not about staying
- 42:59Speaker 2: in one or the other. You know, because the guys
- 43:04Speaker 2: who actually are able to build wealth and are able
- 43:06Speaker 2: to really make this work the best, they don't need
- 43:10Speaker 2: to be the king all the time, yeah, you know.
- 43:13Speaker 2: They don't need to be the person doing everything. They
- 43:16Speaker 2: don't need to be the person figuring everything out, and
- 43:19Speaker 2: they don't even need to be the entertainment or the
- 43:21Speaker 2: spark of it a whole time. They'll move from one
- 43:23Speaker 2: to the other and maintain like a fluid flow and
- 43:27Speaker 2: learn how to play all these different roles and how
- 43:30Speaker 2: to train people into these different roles so that they
- 43:32Speaker 2: can replace themselves as they make their way around, you know.
- 43:38Speaker 2: So yeah, that's essentially the framework that we work with
- 43:41Speaker 2: inside the King's Channel kind of decide we figure out,
- 43:45Speaker 2: you know, ask each guy before they come in, well,
- 43:48Speaker 2: where are you in this cycle with your business and
- 43:52Speaker 2: your life in general, and where do you feel like
- 43:55Speaker 2: you're strongest in these archetypes and where do you feel
- 43:59Speaker 2: like you're weakest? And then you know what's magical about it,
- 44:04Speaker 2: which is which is super cool and I use the
- 44:06Speaker 2: term magical really, you know, interchangeably with miraculous, because I
- 44:12Speaker 2: don't really feel like magic is necessarily deceptive. It's interesting because,
- 44:16Speaker 2: like from just a spiritual perspective, most people don't know
- 44:20Speaker 2: that the word gospel actually is shortened for God's spell.
- 44:29Speaker 2: So you know, it kind of depends on the language
- 44:31Speaker 2: you're using. But the reason why this system has this
- 44:34Speaker 2: sort of magical thing about it is like it's a
- 44:37Speaker 2: natural cycle that seems to be set up on a
- 44:40Speaker 2: higher level that's universal. Right. You can look at the seasons,
- 44:43Speaker 2: and you can look at the snow, and we can't
- 44:46Speaker 2: really explain why we have this cycle. We can't explain
- 44:49Speaker 2: why there's winter and fall and you know all the
- 44:51Speaker 2: rest of this stuff. We can't explain really why this
- 44:54Speaker 2: happens exactly. We've been trying with science for years, but
- 44:57Speaker 2: do we really know. You know, it's like it's debatable,
- 45:04Speaker 2: but if you just kind of surrender to it and
- 45:06Speaker 2: go with the flow of it, you find that, like
- 45:09Speaker 2: in your flowing, you find your way and you don't
- 45:13Speaker 2: get stuck, and there's a beauty to that, there's a
- 45:16Speaker 2: grace to that, there's a peace to that. That's pretty
- 45:19Speaker 2: much priceless because any guy who's stuck in any one
- 45:23Speaker 2: of these places will tell you it's painful. You know,
- 45:26Speaker 2: it doesn't matter which one it is. It could be
- 45:28Speaker 2: the Warrior, could be the King. You know, you can
- 45:30Speaker 2: get stuck in the Lover after you've made the turn
- 45:33Speaker 2: from King to Lover the second time, and now it's like, okay,
- 45:38Speaker 2: now it's just an endless amount of parties and entertainment,
- 45:40Speaker 2: and now you can't stop drinking, and you know you
- 45:45Speaker 2: can wind up right back in this place of where
- 45:47Speaker 2: now you're stuck and you can't get anywhere, and you
- 45:50Speaker 2: need to think your way out of it, because you
- 45:52Speaker 2: know you're moving down into the magician again. So it's
- 45:56Speaker 2: like we go through these cycles as men as we
- 45:59Speaker 2: move through power. And you know, it doesn't necessarily even
- 46:04Speaker 2: have to be our own business. We might just be
- 46:06Speaker 2: rising through the ranks of another company, moving to a
- 46:09Speaker 2: different job, you know, whatever it is. But this particular
- 46:13Speaker 2: model is very useful for kind of identifying where are
- 46:18Speaker 2: you on this sort of map of this general overall
- 46:22Speaker 2: our typical journey, and based on that, what do you
- 46:25Speaker 2: need to let go of and what do you need
- 46:27Speaker 2: to move towards? Just energetically and and so that's that's
- 46:34Speaker 2: the power of it. And that's why I work with
- 46:36Speaker 2: just a small group of four men because I've found
- 46:39Speaker 2: that any more than that, it's things kind of tend
- 46:42Speaker 2: to get diluted. Less than that, it's like, you know,
- 46:48Speaker 2: like I can work with guys one on one, but
- 46:50Speaker 2: it actually helps to have you know, somes because part
- 46:56Speaker 2: of how we work inside of this group is we
- 46:58Speaker 2: kind of will take on the roles. One guys has
- 47:02Speaker 2: an issue where they're having problems leading or whatever, it's like, okay,
- 47:06Speaker 2: so yeah, you're having issues leading, So okay for this
- 47:10Speaker 2: particular thing, you know, you're the king and will will
- 47:15Speaker 2: come in and talk to you as these other archetypes
- 47:19Speaker 2: to help ideas of how to move through this issue
- 47:23Speaker 2: that you're having. And it makes it fun for everybody
- 47:26Speaker 2: because everyone has a role to play. It's not like
- 47:28Speaker 2: you just have one leader or one coach that's doing it.
- 47:31Speaker 2: We all take turns kind of unpacking these different situations
- 47:36Speaker 2: that we have in our lives and and and it
- 47:40Speaker 2: adds an element of fun to it. It also makes
- 47:47Speaker 2: it more effective because now everyone's participating on an equal level,
- 47:54Speaker 2: and you know, and it's just like you know, you
- 47:58Speaker 2: don't have to just do the same thing we're and
- 48:00Speaker 2: over again, and it helps helps train guys to learn
- 48:04Speaker 2: how to be and act inside of archetypes that are
- 48:06Speaker 2: different from where they might be stuck, and that in
- 48:10Speaker 2: itself helps them move out of that being stuck.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Man. I know, we could go, we can go, we
- 48:16Speaker 1: can go definitely further here, But I think this is
- 48:20Speaker 1: a good overview. How do people find you, connect you
- 48:24Speaker 1: with you and learn more? Because I think if you're
- 48:26Speaker 1: listening to this, I'm listening, I'm fascinated. And where am
- 48:28Speaker 1: I in this journey? My warrior. I'm a king and
- 48:32Speaker 1: hopefully hopefully warrior, and Brendan knows I'm in the in
- 48:36Speaker 1: the in the warrior fame. I'm working toward the king
- 48:38Speaker 1: right now.
- 48:39Speaker 2: But where, you know, where is that for you?
- 48:42Speaker 1: And you know, yeah, I'd love just to share Brennon,
- 48:46Speaker 1: just briefly, how how do people can get connected with
- 48:48Speaker 1: you and learn more about this whole architect in the
- 48:51Speaker 1: King's chamber?
- 48:52Speaker 2: Yeah, well you can. You can go to the Harmonic
- 48:55Speaker 2: Awakenings website and contact me there and learn a little
- 48:59Speaker 2: bit more about the stuff that I do. It's Harmonica
- 49:02Speaker 2: Awakenings dot com. You can find me under the Harmonic
- 49:09Speaker 2: Awakenings Big Business page on Facebook or just look me
- 49:13Speaker 2: up as Brendan Murphy on Facebook.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Connect with me Brendon and I am connected. We collaborate.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I mean, Brendan, this has been fantastic. I think just
- 49:21Speaker 1: hearing you walk us through this and if anybody hasn't
- 49:24Speaker 1: heard this before, but I think you can apply this
- 49:26Speaker 1: to your life and say, like, where am I in
- 49:28Speaker 1: this journey without a new judgment if you're the magician,
- 49:31Speaker 1: if you're the lover, if you're the lawyer of the king,
- 49:33Speaker 1: you know, but recognizing that this was a part of
- 49:35Speaker 1: a journey and it's ongoing, and recognizing that and that
- 49:40Speaker 1: you have a resource here. So it's all about the
- 49:42Speaker 1: Business round Table podcast bringing resources to help you. Listen,
- 49:46Speaker 1: take it in and say, man, brand it could really
- 49:48Speaker 1: help me and and reach out to him. I've worked
- 49:52Speaker 1: alongside him knowing very well, really well, We've shared a lot,
- 49:55Speaker 1: and I really appreciate you coming on the podcast here, Brandan, Oh.
- 50:00Speaker 2: You're so welcome. Yeah. The thing to remember is just
- 50:03Speaker 2: you know, just keep moving in the right direction wherever
- 50:07Speaker 2: you are, wherever you're stuck. You can always move past it.
- 50:12Speaker 2: You just might have to let go of something and
- 50:14Speaker 2: play a different role, not just get stuck in the
- 50:16Speaker 2: same old role that you've been playing for however long
- 50:19Speaker 2: you've been playing it.
- 50:20Speaker 1: And hence you know, having a coach like yourself that
- 50:23Speaker 1: comes along can move you faster through the process, so
- 50:27Speaker 1: you're not spending so long when you're really, like you said,
- 50:29Speaker 1: you need to let go and get to that next
- 50:33Speaker 1: next spot. That's what I know you and I have
- 50:36Speaker 1: that same passion, and so just thank you so much
- 50:39Speaker 1: Brandon for being here.
- 50:40Speaker 2: You're so welcome. David, I love this, I love your podcast,
- 50:45Speaker 2: and thanks so much for having me on.
