- 1:17Speaker 3: around the corner. How you guys doing today? So far
- 1:20Speaker 3: so good, So far, so good. You did some work today,
- 1:22Speaker 3: you said, ross. Yeah, and I drank two lollipops lollipops. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 3: I doubled up the dose and everybody, I'm telling everyone
- 1:30Speaker 3: not to do that. Didn't that cause a little gastro
- 1:33Speaker 3: intestinal issue with you last time you did that? No,
- 1:35Speaker 3: it was so. I've been on a daily ritual. I'm
- 1:37Speaker 3: pro daily ritual, but every now and then, you know,
- 1:41Speaker 3: it's hot, I am, I'm thirsty. I won another cream
- 1:44Speaker 3: soda that's sub fifty calori. You love that cream soda? Dog?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah I do.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you let you. You asked it. Yeah, it's a
- 1:50Speaker 3: fun time, all right, I'll take it over root here. Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 3: is that a hot take? I mean, I don't know.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I mean they're they're kinda similar, but I mean, yeah, no,
- 1:59Speaker 3: cream shadow would a rarity. So as a kid, when
- 2:01Speaker 3: you could get it, I thought that was the best
- 2:03Speaker 3: thing in the world. And I think it's the best
- 2:05Speaker 3: ice cream float.
- 2:06Speaker 5: So oh yeah, definitely.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Cream soda ice cream float with vanilla ice cream
- 2:10Speaker 3: is a So that's when you elevated over root beer
- 2:13Speaker 3: because root beer float is a traditional Yeah, but the
- 2:16Speaker 3: cream soda gives it that extra creamy kind of silkiness
- 2:19Speaker 3: that makes it delicious.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Plus, I think root beer is just too heavy if
- 2:22Speaker 5: a drink for summertime, I.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Agree, Deborah. Fine, anyways, a drink too still afraid to sneeze? Hey, Jack,
- 2:30Speaker 3: a great afternoon? What flavors? Yeah? What's your flavors? Jack?
- 2:34Speaker 3: After Yeah, it's cream soda soda ollipop. That just sends
- 2:40Speaker 3: me to a different Do you not have any other
- 2:43Speaker 3: flavor that you enjoy or I'm on a subscription bro
- 2:46Speaker 3: Oh okay, that's where I'm at. A thirty six years
- 2:49Speaker 3: old buy safe and save or save. Yeah, I'm buying.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'm buying these things in bolt Man, I'm trying to
- 2:56Speaker 3: get my body moved. So they just send you a
- 2:58Speaker 3: used a random flavor every two weeks or something. No
- 3:01Speaker 3: specifically only cream soda. That seems lame. Well, well, I
- 3:07Speaker 3: as I only drink Pepsi. It's not even it's not
- 3:09Speaker 3: even Ali Papa the month. Yeah, yeah, No, there's a
- 3:12Speaker 3: variety pack, but I choose not to because I know
- 3:15Speaker 3: what Daddy likes. I got a question for you guys. Okay,
- 3:19Speaker 3: out driving around the other day. It was a very
- 3:22Speaker 3: rural area, a lot of rule out in Lake County, right,
- 3:25Speaker 3: I'm driving around and I actually even looked this up
- 3:28Speaker 3: and I still couldn't get a definitive answer. And I
- 3:29Speaker 3: want to know if our audience knows, because we have
- 3:31Speaker 3: the smartest audience in radio. Do we do? Everybody has
- 3:35Speaker 3: seen these and I've heard fifty different things of what
- 3:39Speaker 3: it is or what it could be. You guys have
- 3:41Speaker 3: been driving around and across a stretched across a two
- 3:45Speaker 3: lane road, it'll be two pieces of black or rubber tubing. Yes,
- 3:50Speaker 3: and that will lead to a box that's off the
- 3:52Speaker 3: side of the road. It's for counting cars, is it
- 3:56Speaker 3: or is it the average speed, because what I've heard
- 3:59Speaker 3: is they use these devices to determine what the person's
- 4:04Speaker 3: average speed is in that area. I've also heard the
- 4:07Speaker 3: counting thing, but that doesn't make any sense.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Sure it does for a traffic study if they're you know,
- 4:11Speaker 5: if they're building a new subdivision in this rural area
- 4:14Speaker 5: and residents obviously are going to bring up the infrastructure.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Can the roads handle it? Can the water handle it?
- 4:19Speaker 5: I don't know how those things could measure speed because.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Well, the time it takes for where you're a car
- 4:24Speaker 3: to go over one to the other, they would measure that. Yeah, ok,
- 4:27Speaker 3: because you would think only one is necessary to count, right,
- 4:31Speaker 3: Exactly two would be necessary to determine time and distance
- 4:34Speaker 3: for speed.
- 4:35Speaker 5: So maybe it's for both, right, It could do both
- 4:37Speaker 5: to increase the speed limit or to maybe ad lanes.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I know how many cars are doing or reduce the
- 4:43Speaker 3: speed limit because of these rules in the rural areas.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I mean some of those areas out there. Even the
- 4:48Speaker 3: rule the the you know, speed limits still fifty miles
- 4:50Speaker 3: an hour, right, and I don't know people think that's
- 4:52Speaker 3: excessive on a two lane road going through a very
- 4:54Speaker 3: wooded area.
- 4:55Speaker 5: But you must be speaking of forty six.
- 4:57Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's actually not forty six. Although I
- 4:59Speaker 3: do agree with your saying it's on a it's on
- 5:01Speaker 3: a again. And it could be a development issue, because
- 5:03Speaker 3: you're right, I mean, there's nothing not being developed in
- 5:05Speaker 3: Lake County, and I'm sure that goes for a lot
- 5:07Speaker 3: of counties around the area. Are so but I've never
- 5:10Speaker 3: I've never got a definitive answer on what that is.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And even when you look it up, you know, outside
- 5:16Speaker 3: of the Department of Transportation. But I do a show here.
- 5:18Speaker 3: We're trying to get some you know, have some fun
- 5:19Speaker 3: with it. But I couldn't figure out what it was.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Oh that's where we put it in the laps of
- 5:23Speaker 3: the listeners. I don't know what the road vanes do,
- 5:26Speaker 3: but I do know I like hitting them. You've seen them, though, right,
- 5:29Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, it's so good. And I just absolutely
- 5:34Speaker 3: I was like, this has got to be a speed issue.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Either they're trying to determine that people are driving in
- 5:39Speaker 3: this area too fast and they need to reduce the
- 5:42Speaker 3: speed limit, or uh that it's that you know, it's
- 5:45Speaker 3: I guess maybe going to slow that makes that doesn't
- 5:47Speaker 3: make any sense. And the count thing makes sense as well.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I guess when you consider what you're saying and considering
- 5:53Speaker 3: the idea of growth in these counties, because Florida is
- 5:55Speaker 3: exploding as always, So that means they can also probably
- 5:58Speaker 3: tell if it's a motorcycle. What do these little road
- 6:01Speaker 3: veins do? Wait? You know what? What do they have?
- 6:04Speaker 3: What's so special about them? Yeah? I don't know, but
- 6:06Speaker 3: somebody said that. You know, all wheelbases are different, but
- 6:09Speaker 3: I don't think the wheelbase matters. You're not measuring the
- 6:12Speaker 3: distance between like the front tires and the back tires.
- 6:15Speaker 3: All you need is one tire hitting it and then
- 6:17Speaker 3: hitting it again. So we could be just the front
- 6:19Speaker 3: tire because it's going to take the measurement. Yeah, and
- 6:21Speaker 3: then even in that split split second, it'll be able
- 6:23Speaker 3: to determine how fast you're going with the impact on
- 6:26Speaker 3: both of the tubes. If it's a speed device, it's
- 6:29Speaker 3: not measuring between your front and rear tires. That math
- 6:33Speaker 3: is frying my brain.
- 6:34Speaker 5: If somebody texted us at seven seven zero three one
- 6:37Speaker 5: and said Debbie is correct, Debby, they can do both
- 6:41Speaker 5: for studies of future needs?
- 6:43Speaker 3: Is that what it is? It's because of it's because
- 6:45Speaker 3: of expanding a lot of people are weighing in.
- 6:48Speaker 5: It's for speed measurement and vehicle count. It's used to
- 6:50Speaker 5: do a traffic study it And by the way, this
- 6:55Speaker 5: goes in both directions. Somebody said, well, it's you know,
- 6:57Speaker 5: one direction.
- 6:58Speaker 3: It's not. It goes across the entire road, as opposed
- 7:01Speaker 3: to just going across one lane, which makes perfect sense.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I've actually never seen one go across just one lane.
- 7:07Speaker 5: They bust you going back and forth over it, or
- 7:10Speaker 5: did you just do a couple of wheelies?
- 7:12Speaker 3: I don't know what it was. I was just like,
- 7:14Speaker 3: we're in the middle of nowhere. What could this thing
- 7:16Speaker 3: be measured that good? I could understand if you are
- 7:20Speaker 3: like going down a road that already has traffic, you
- 7:22Speaker 3: could see maybe with the development already being there, if
- 7:25Speaker 3: they're trying to determine that. But when I say rule,
- 7:28Speaker 3: I mean rule like in the middle of nowhere, near
- 7:31Speaker 3: like oklahomka. Oh okay, yeah, I mean out there in
- 7:33Speaker 3: the middle of nowhere. Dude, that's a real place. Yeah, yeah, ka, humpka,
- 7:42Speaker 3: it's gonna it's that we went to I went to
- 7:46Speaker 3: Cala this we get to play golf and we and
- 7:49Speaker 3: we took a back way through the forest and that's
- 7:50Speaker 3: where it was, like way back in behind the o'kalla
- 7:53Speaker 3: National Forest.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Jack, will you do that again?
- 7:56Speaker 3: No, no, no, please don't ask him me. He's he's at
- 7:58Speaker 3: karaoke in the blood now. And by the way, when
- 8:00Speaker 3: did those videos come out when obviously everybody was taping
- 8:03Speaker 3: our video recording those performances.
- 8:06Speaker 5: It's in your email.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I saw it. I'm on the thread, but the video
- 8:12Speaker 3: is not there, and I think the video is the
- 8:13Speaker 3: one that has the you know, has the trouble. Yeah,
- 8:16Speaker 3: let's be glad. Why are we breaking out exactly thanks
- 8:19Speaker 3: to manifest it. Oh yeah, I just want to see
- 8:22Speaker 3: you that there. I want to see it. We got
- 8:24Speaker 3: we did a good job. I think it's better in memory.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I'm with it. By the way, the Real Radio Poker
- 8:31Speaker 3: Tournament is almost seventy percent sold out. So, like we
- 8:34Speaker 3: said before and again just to you know, kind of
- 8:36Speaker 3: ill straight when we tell you these things, we're not
- 8:38Speaker 3: joking around. We don't need to upsell this thing. It
- 8:40Speaker 3: sells out every year. Josh. What we want you to
- 8:43Speaker 3: do is be able to get into the tournament if
- 8:44Speaker 3: you can and want to. Uh. But Real Radio Dot
- 8:47Speaker 3: FM slash Poker. The tournament's in August. It's very, very
- 8:51Speaker 3: very popular and uh obviously so it's already seventy percent
- 8:56Speaker 3: sold out and it may be done by the end
- 8:58Speaker 3: of the day.
- 8:58Speaker 5: So when did they go on ste.
- 9:00Speaker 3: This morning at eight am?
- 9:02Speaker 5: At eight am and is seventy percent sold out by
- 9:04Speaker 5: three pm?
- 9:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, whoa. That is not even the least bit shocking.
- 9:08Speaker 3: If it makes it through the day, I'll be surprised.
- 9:10Speaker 5: I don't think it will. Yeah, I think because for
- 9:12Speaker 5: all of those people who wanted to join us on
- 9:14Speaker 5: the yachtli Crews and that sold out.
- 9:16Speaker 3: For six hours, and then they kept saying, oh, I
- 9:18Speaker 3: wish I knew about it. I know. We ran promos
- 9:21Speaker 3: for a week, it's been on the website, I put
- 9:23Speaker 3: it on Facebook, Instagram. Yeah, we can only do so
- 9:26Speaker 3: much people, and it's a damn good time. It's our

- 9:47Speaker 3: of people show up and play a poker with us.
- 9:49Speaker 3: We feed you, there's drinks. It's at the Science Center.
- 9:52Speaker 3: It's one of the most unique events the station's ever had,
- 9:55Speaker 3: and I think maybe the longest lasting the station's ever had.
- 9:58Speaker 3: This is going to be a first one five. I
- 10:00Speaker 3: am wearing a shirt from that very first tournament. We've
- 10:04Speaker 3: done it. This is the nineteenth annual. We took off
- 10:07Speaker 3: you know three times two due to the pandemic and
- 10:11Speaker 3: one time before. But thanks to Just call Mo presenting

- 10:48Speaker 3: have a bunch of fun stuff to talk about. Including
- 10:50Speaker 3: allergy tests. I saw something online today that was crazy.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I've heard about that. I'm not taking one, but I've
- 10:56Speaker 3: had a reaction to this cat that is like and
- 11:00Speaker 3: it's it's like one of these things where it's happening
- 11:02Speaker 3: every time I'm around the cat. Now, it's not like
- 11:04Speaker 3: a hives thing or anything, but I've noticed a little
- 11:07Speaker 3: something so we could tell Yeah, thank you, I appreciate that.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Sorry he looks itchy. Yeah yeah. Plus we have a
- 11:12Speaker 3: bunch of other cool stuff to talk about as well.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Prime Days plus other things as well, Deb, what do
- 11:15Speaker 3: you get for news?
- 11:16Speaker 5: Detectives are questioning if they made a mistake in the
- 11:19Speaker 5: Nancy Guthrie case. Closer to Home, Attorney John Morgan announces
- 11:23Speaker 5: the name for his new political party and gird yourselves ladies.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Rockstar Games reveals the GTA six pricing.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Oh boy, yep.
- 11:33Speaker 5: We'll talk about that and more coming up next during
- 11:36Speaker 5: JCS News You.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Got, Let's take a little break. We'll come back and
- 11:38Speaker 3: get Deb's news and do more than Jim Colbert shows
- 11:40Speaker 3: day Right there.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Jimmy, the reason they got two of them going across
- 11:43Speaker 7: the road is because they're counting both directions. When you
- 11:47Speaker 7: hit the first one, it knows which side that came from.
- 11:51Speaker 7: You hit the second one knows you're not going the
- 11:53Speaker 7: other way.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Hey, guys, he's good. Well, so I always get the
- 11:58Speaker 3: casino pass every year.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Now that I already got it, the question is what
- 12:02Speaker 5: to wear.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Gotta figet that out. Thanks bye, I'm sure to be
- 12:07Speaker 3: a very nice fitting tucks. Sir. You seem to have
- 12:09Speaker 3: fifty thousand level. All right, seven seven zero three one.
- 12:12Speaker 3: That's how you text us. If you want to send
- 12:14Speaker 3: a talk back, look our friend right there, you can

- 12:22Speaker 3: free to chime in anytime you like. Welcome back on
- 12:24Speaker 3: Jim Jacket's here, Ross is here and Ded has your news.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Let's get it.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It's time for JCS news.
- 12:33Speaker 8: Wow, this guy got to put his.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Name on everything.
- 12:35Speaker 3: It's in my contract ed.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Here's the news on the Jim Cober Show.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Gotta say this feels good because I missed this yesterday.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Oh yeah yeah. JCS News brought to you by that
- 12:46Speaker 5: mortgage guy Don all right for being a kind of
- 12:49Speaker 5: a dormant story over the last couple of weeks. Things
- 12:51Speaker 5: have kind of heated up over the last several days,
- 12:54Speaker 5: and now comes the story that detectives from the FBI
- 12:58Speaker 5: and the Pima County, Arizona Ship Department are reportedly second
- 13:02Speaker 5: guessing their choice to avoid paying a four million dollar
- 13:05Speaker 5: ransom in their search for Nancy Guthrie. Sources within the
- 13:09Speaker 5: case told the outlet air Mail that authorities are questioning
- 13:13Speaker 5: if they made a mistake only sending one hundred and
- 13:16Speaker 5: fifty two dollars of the requested amount. The FBI reportedly
- 13:21Speaker 5: deposited the funds hoping the potential kidnappers would transfer the
- 13:25Speaker 5: money out, allowing cyber experts to then track them down
- 13:31Speaker 5: for one hundred and fifty two bucks out of four million.
- 13:34Speaker 5: So yeah, A task force is still trying to track
- 13:37Speaker 5: the ransom notes authors by following the chain of proxy
- 13:41Speaker 5: servers used to protect the identity of those involved. Authorities
- 13:45Speaker 5: have detained and released several persons of interest, as well
- 13:48Speaker 5: as analyzed potential DNA evidence, but it appears to be
- 13:52Speaker 5: of no avail as the investigation now enters it's fifth month.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah. The thing I heard today that was kind of
- 13:57Speaker 3: wild on the gu three cases. They knew immediately that
- 14:00Speaker 3: or at least there were pieces of information, if you remember,
- 14:03Speaker 3: from the very onset they got the initial ransom note,
- 14:06Speaker 3: but they didn't tell us like the day after that
- 14:08Speaker 3: they also got a note saying that she died during
- 14:10Speaker 3: the event.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Yeah, we covered that actually earlier this week when that
- 14:14Speaker 5: when that story broke, So it was like, okay, so
- 14:16Speaker 5: now we're hearing about more about these ransom notes, right.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I didn't hear the thing you're talking about today.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I didn't see that yet.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Yeah, it's crazy, this this one. Just and of course
- 14:23Speaker 5: Savannah Guthrie made another very emotional plea on the Today
- 14:27Speaker 5: Show asking them, listen, if she's already died, just give
- 14:30Speaker 5: her back to us and tell us where we can
- 14:32Speaker 5: find her.
- 14:32Speaker 3: And what a decision too, because they did say today
- 14:34Speaker 3: that they couldn't say anything about the note about her
- 14:36Speaker 3: death because they think that if they put that information
- 14:39Speaker 3: out there, people would stop looking. Right yeah, and then
- 14:42Speaker 3: you know all that all those people who went through
- 14:44Speaker 3: that and looking and all those volunteers did that, you know,
- 14:46Speaker 3: and they knew that there was a possibility that was happening,
- 14:48Speaker 3: but they and That's a real weird decision to make,
- 14:51Speaker 3: because you wonder, like how many people were like, oh,
- 14:53Speaker 3: you know, I was trying to help. But I know
- 14:54Speaker 3: if I'd have known that, maybe it would have been different.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Who knows.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I think it's referred to as rock and hard play.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Fact in Florida, Florida's Attorney General is demanding the CVS
- 15:04Speaker 5: pharmacy chain proof it's not monopolizing the market. I really
- 15:07Speaker 5: wasn't that aware of this, but it turns out this
- 15:10Speaker 5: story has had legs and it's head legs for a while.
- 15:13Speaker 5: I also believe that whoever wrote this story must be
- 15:15Speaker 5: a listener of the Jim Culbert Show, because they put
- 15:17Speaker 5: a very pronounced uh guede on how to say Eth Myers.
- 15:23Speaker 3: So it's it is, it is Myers Myer. Let's make
- 15:28Speaker 3: a stand still, man, let's take a stance. We're the
- 15:31Speaker 3: ooth squad. Yeah, well, we're gonna call moves. But there
- 15:33Speaker 3: is no word in the English language that has ut
- 15:35Speaker 3: h as an ending. And it's a four letter word, right,
- 15:39Speaker 3: There is no blank ut h word in the English language.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Earth that's a name, that's a proper.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Name, and truth would be a five letter word, so
- 15:47Speaker 5: that wouldn't count. I do not know. So while we
- 15:49Speaker 5: think about that, I'm gonna get back to the story.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Man's out exactly.
- 15:56Speaker 5: Well, I've already got Napoleon Dynamite, so I guess you
- 15:59Speaker 5: can have rain Man. James Uthmeier says the state has
- 16:02Speaker 5: subpoenaed CVS documents and contracts. Independent pharmacy owner Johnny Myers
- 16:07Speaker 5: says CBS has monopolized eighty percent of the healthcare business.
- 16:13Speaker 9: This is all systematic death by one thousand paper cuts
- 16:17Speaker 9: to put us out of business. And I know it
- 16:19Speaker 9: sounds like it's all about us and independent pharmacies, but
- 16:21Speaker 9: it's about you, guys. It's about the healthcare of our patients.
- 16:24Speaker 5: So CBS has until July twenty six to respond. Independent
- 16:28Speaker 5: Pharmacists also claims CVS and its pharmacy benefit manager care
- 16:32Speaker 5: Mark branch On Branch unfairly administers prescription drug plans for insurers, employers,
- 16:38Speaker 5: government programs, thereby driving up costs, limiting access to medications,
- 16:44Speaker 5: and funneling patients to CVS pharmacies. Congress has also been
- 16:48Speaker 5: looking into the business practices of CVS.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Matter of fact, if you go and look on YouTube,
- 16:52Speaker 3: there is a congress person questioning the CEO of CVS.
- 16:56Speaker 3: And it is painfully interesting because they're saying, so you're
- 16:59Speaker 3: telling me, you know, from the onset of a patient
- 17:02Speaker 3: seeking care, you are in the hands of CBS, whether
- 17:05Speaker 3: it be a Caremark, a care Mark facility. They own hospitals,
- 17:09Speaker 3: they own the drug companies. It's crazy, it is. It
- 17:11Speaker 3: is really kind of crazy how how much power CBS
- 17:14Speaker 3: does have over you if you're a patient in this country.
- 17:17Speaker 5: And who isn't right, I mean, whether you're taking medication
- 17:21Speaker 5: to manage a condition, or it's for something post surgical
- 17:24Speaker 5: or whatever, that's a lot of money.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Oh you guys get yourself from CBS, or you get
- 17:28Speaker 3: it from Walgreens, or you get a publics whatever you
- 17:30Speaker 3: have publics and where you get your prescriptions. Guys, well,
- 17:34Speaker 3: anything that they do on a regular basis, they want
- 17:37Speaker 3: you to get the ninety days supply, so CBS care
- 17:39Speaker 3: Mark mail order you have to so that automatically, it's
- 17:44Speaker 3: like anything. I do use CBS for a lot, but
- 17:47Speaker 3: I prefer Walgreens. It's closer. I like the people.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Yeah, but they set it up so that you don't
- 17:54Speaker 5: have that option.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Insul Okay, I believe it's called insol I don't know
- 18:00Speaker 3: that is, buddy. That's where I get my prescription. Is
- 18:02Speaker 3: that a corner store? Yeah? Okay, very good Bodega nice.
- 18:05Speaker 5: An Orange County man will plead guilty at cheating people
- 18:07Speaker 5: out of hundreds of millions of dollars. A popka is
- 18:10Speaker 5: Christopher Alexander Delgado was the president and CEO of Goliath Ventures,
- 18:15Speaker 5: but prosecutors say he really ran it like a Ponzi scheme.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Over the last three years, he allegedly scammed his victims
- 18:21Speaker 5: out of at least two hundred and fifty million dollars.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Delgatto will also be ordered to pay restitution, and he'll
- 18:28Speaker 5: also plead guilty to charges that include conspiracy to commit fraud,
- 18:31Speaker 5: wire fraud, and money Launders.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Jo any properties that got bought with that money, yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 5: And then to have to see them go to the FED,
- 18:37Speaker 5: like ten.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Twelve properties, giant properties from Miami all the way up
- 18:40Speaker 3: to the North Lamborghini's jewelry, al kinds of stuff.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Finds HI buye.
- 18:46Speaker 3: But does he have the money for restitution or did
- 18:48Speaker 3: they have to use that property? Did they have to
- 18:50Speaker 3: sell that property to get the money for relief?
- 18:52Speaker 5: They would have to yeah, exactly.
- 18:54Speaker 10: All right.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Today mark's the fifth anniversary of the surf side condo
- 18:57Speaker 5: collapse in South Florida that left ninety eight people dead.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Lieutenant Governor J Collins was on hand during a memorial ceremony.
- 19:04Speaker 11: Condo safety is not just a building issue. It's a
- 19:07Speaker 11: people issue. It's a family issue. It is a public
- 19:09Speaker 11: trust issue. When someone goes to sleep at night, they
- 19:12Speaker 11: should never have to wonder whether that building is going
- 19:14Speaker 11: to collapse around them.
- 19:15Speaker 5: He also paid tribute to the first responders who spent
- 19:19Speaker 5: weeks combing through rubble and ross. One of your best
- 19:21Speaker 5: friends was one of those first responders, right yeah, yeah, there.
- 19:24Speaker 3: For weeks, and he has a crazy ass life, and
- 19:30Speaker 3: in that life, that's one of the craziest moments. I
- 19:33Speaker 3: bet yeah. He said that changed him a little bit, right.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Yeah, well I can imagine. So, I mean, so investigators
- 19:39Speaker 5: blame structural failures in the pool deck, slab column connections
- 19:43Speaker 5: that began three weeks before the collapse. All right, good
- 19:48Speaker 5: news if you're looking forward to celebrating America's two hundred
- 19:52Speaker 5: and fiftieth birthday, because Florida will not impose a state
- 19:56Speaker 5: wide fireworks band the fourth of July, despite ongoing drought concerns,
- 20:00Speaker 5: A state Agriculture Commissioner, Wilton Simpson says recent reigns have
- 20:04Speaker 5: helped improve conditions, but there is still a risk of
- 20:06Speaker 5: wildfires during what has been a very busy fire season.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Residents are still being urged to use caution and follow
- 20:13Speaker 5: any local burn bands or restrictions that may be in place.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Officials say it only takes a single spark to start
- 20:19Speaker 5: a fire and are encouraging safe celebrations. Good luck, guys.
- 20:23Speaker 5: People are going to lose their minds.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Yeah, they are going to lose their minds. Super pissed
- 20:28Speaker 3: about fireworks on a regular Fourth of July. I have
- 20:30Speaker 3: horrible news for you.
- 20:31Speaker 5: I know, but please keep in mind of our service members,
- 20:33Speaker 5: right those suffering from PTSD.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Speaking of local governments and such, one.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Bill raises the threshold for a property tax increase. A
- 20:42Speaker 5: couple of bills were signed by the governor along with
- 20:45Speaker 5: our CFO Blazingolia in Bradenton today. The other bill would
- 20:49Speaker 5: require more transparency, including a budget cutting exercise. DeSantis rejects
- 20:55Speaker 5: local government's home rule arguments by making a very succinct
- 20:59Speaker 5: argument himself.
- 21:01Speaker 3: So, well, what do you you get up? There you
- 21:03Speaker 3: goes in till the hesse. You want to tell people,
- 21:04Speaker 3: you know what to do a local government.
- 21:08Speaker 5: The two are campaigning for an amendment to raise the
- 21:11Speaker 5: homestead exemption, which local officials say could cripple services. Again,
- 21:15Speaker 5: I have never seen a state government more openly hostile
- 21:19Speaker 5: toward their municipalities, their counties, their residents.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Their legislators, their own legislators.
- 21:25Speaker 5: It's like they won't fix theirs, so they're running around
- 21:28Speaker 5: the state poking their fingers and everyone else's chest. Yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 5: we love accountability. Let's start with Tallahassee. Oh yeah, let's
- 21:35Speaker 5: start with the alligator Alcatraz exactly. Let's talk about that,
- 21:38Speaker 5: not even million dollars a year and a half, not even,
- 21:41Speaker 5: not even, not even, And they're trying to dismantle it
- 21:45Speaker 5: and do that in the middle of the night and
- 21:46Speaker 5: just skulk away like no one's gonna notice.
- 21:48Speaker 3: That's some balls mocking people would get a billion dollar
- 21:51Speaker 3: hole in the budget down there that you swore was
- 21:53Speaker 3: gonna get filled up by the fes and it ain't happening. Stay,
- 21:56Speaker 3: I have horrible news for you. It ain't gonna happen.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Just look at the history. It's the nature of the history.
- 22:01Speaker 3: It doesn't happen. Our flakes are officially frosted.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Well, there you go, personal injury attorney and Morgan and
- 22:09Speaker 5: Morgan founder, please give it to me, Ross Morgan, Morgan Morgan.
- 22:13Speaker 5: John Morgan says his new political party has a name.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 5: He asked Americans to submit their ideas for a name,
- 22:26Speaker 5: and some thirty five thousand people did. Morgan says some
- 22:30Speaker 5: two hundred and fifty people submitted the winning entry, the
- 22:34Speaker 5: Common Ground Party. They're going to divide equal shares of
- 22:38Speaker 5: the one hundred thousand dollars prize, or about four hundred
- 22:40Speaker 5: bucks each.
- 22:43Speaker 3: In the the people in the people in the party
- 22:47Speaker 3: are going to be called grounders. Yep.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Supporters will be yep. They'll be known as grounders.
- 22:50Speaker 3: I don't hate it. Yeah, it's not bad, right, yeah,
- 22:54Speaker 3: four hundred bucks, come on, But I think nobody thought
- 22:59Speaker 3: it was going to be just you two hundred big
- 23:00Speaker 3: b pile getting four hundred dollars. Somebody thought they were
- 23:03Speaker 3: going to get rich and by lamba.
- 23:04Speaker 5: You exactly get one hundred thousand and be able to
- 23:06Speaker 5: walk around talking about it.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I think they found a common ground. Oh with Jack
- 23:13Speaker 3: the Sting's got legs in the name.
- 23:15Speaker 5: It is in the name, all right. The question of
- 23:18Speaker 5: AI data centers continues to take center stage across at
- 23:22Speaker 5: least the Tampa Bay Area, let's be honest, across the
- 23:24Speaker 5: entire state of Florida. I believe Lake County just passed
- 23:27Speaker 5: a moratorium for a year on data centers. So over
- 23:30Speaker 5: in Citrus County, the Delta Corporation has withdrawn its proposal
- 23:34Speaker 5: for a mega center. Oh my god, and the older
- 23:38Speaker 5: industrial park.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 5: This comes after residents urged the county Commission in May
- 23:43Speaker 5: to approve a one year moratorium on new data center applications.
- 23:47Speaker 5: And this is just one of the reasons why.
- 23:49Speaker 12: It has begun to feel miserable living here when I
- 23:51Speaker 12: see so much of the nature that makes the place
- 23:54Speaker 12: of Bewe being destroyed.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Now there is a proposal for eight hundred more acres
- 23:58Speaker 3: to be stolen.
- 23:59Speaker 5: From US hundred. In the meantime, the battle is heating
- 24:02Speaker 5: up in Fort Mead, where residents are seeking to recall
- 24:05Speaker 5: three members of the city Commission and have filed a
- 24:08Speaker 5: lawsuit claiming the recent approval of plans for a data
- 24:11Speaker 5: center lacked at the required state approval. And in Haines
- 24:14Speaker 5: city officials say the city doesn't even have enough water
- 24:17Speaker 5: capacity to bring a proposed facility, and that's the really
- 24:20Speaker 5: big issue on the Gulf Coast. They're like telling people, man,
- 24:23Speaker 5: stop using the water. We don't have any reservoir. And
- 24:27Speaker 5: you're hearing these local arguments all over there. In Escanbia
- 24:31Speaker 5: County today, there was a woman who got up and
- 24:33Speaker 5: basically looked at the commissioners and said, all of you
- 24:35Speaker 5: guys say that you're against this, well, let's vote against
- 24:37Speaker 5: it right now. Let's let's ban them right now. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 5: you know, I mean, come on.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And by the way, you could hear in the background
- 24:41Speaker 3: the place was absolutely packed, you know where a lot
- 24:44Speaker 3: of these civic community kind of get togethers are our
- 24:47Speaker 3: votes or open forums don't really draw a lot of people.
- 24:50Speaker 3: But man, with these data centers, these people are coming
- 24:52Speaker 3: out of the woodwork and are like, nah, not here.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Dog, yeah exactly. I think it's also the frustration of
- 24:56Speaker 5: people like I'm tired of this, right y, yeah yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 5: let me take a couple of hours out of my
- 25:00Speaker 5: night and go scream at you, hump.
- 25:01Speaker 3: The breaks for a minute exactly what We're just trying
- 25:03Speaker 3: to get a property taxes an insurance. I only laughed
- 25:06Speaker 3: because of the word, the term of mega center. No,
- 25:10Speaker 3: it's just when it gets so cartoonishly evil, like it's
- 25:15Speaker 3: made by acme believe there's not a Mega Walmart already.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Oh, don't put that idea.
- 25:19Speaker 3: You like super Walmarts.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Well, if you live in Deltona, be aware. There's a
- 25:25Speaker 5: boil water notice due to a water main break. A
- 25:28Speaker 5: private cable contractor we haven't heard that before was working
- 25:33Speaker 5: along howl And Boulevard when the water main was damaged.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Residents have to boil their tap water before using it
- 25:39Speaker 5: to cook, make ice, brush your teeth, or wash dishes.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Belusha County is conducting testing to ensure it's safe to drink.
- 25:47Speaker 3: All right, if you've got some room in your home
- 25:49Speaker 3: and in your heart.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Orange County Animal Services is facing over crowding issues. Workers
- 25:53Speaker 5: say they have over three hundred animals in their care
- 25:57Speaker 5: and most of them are dogs. So they're asking community
- 26:00Speaker 5: members to consider adopting, fostering, which is a great way
- 26:03Speaker 5: to you know, ease the burden on them without having
- 26:05Speaker 5: to make a permanent, uh permanent decision yes, or rehoming
- 26:10Speaker 5: dogs to help with the overcrowding. Adoption fees have also
- 26:13Speaker 5: been reduced to help that out.
- 26:15Speaker 3: In the end, people always say like, oh, I miss Blockbuster,
- 26:18Speaker 3: I missed that back in that. Go do that with
- 26:20Speaker 3: a dog, Go borrow a dog you can get do
- 26:24Speaker 3: see how it goes. I mean the reviews on the Schnauzer.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Yeah, all right. Controversy we've been talking about this as well.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Isn't enough to stop some of Kanye West's most loyal
- 26:34Speaker 5: fans from going to his upcoming concerts in Tampa. West
- 26:37Speaker 5: will perform Friday and Sunday at Raymond James Stadium, but
- 26:40Speaker 5: Senator Rick Scott and others have publicly been calling on
- 26:43Speaker 5: the Tampa Sports Authority to cancel the shows because of
- 26:46Speaker 5: West's anti Semitic comments. The shows are still set to
- 26:49Speaker 5: go on, though, and Tampa's Gauge Polk plans to be
- 26:53Speaker 5: there for both of them. The twenty six year old
- 26:56Speaker 5: Hillsboro College students said he's been a Kanye fan since
- 26:59Speaker 5: he was fine, and he says West's music gave him
- 27:02Speaker 5: the guidance he didn't have when he was growing up.
- 27:05Speaker 5: And Amani Mosley is an assistant professor at the University
- 27:08Speaker 5: of Florida's School of Music, and she says listen. There
- 27:10Speaker 5: is no crime and artists could commit that would stop
- 27:14Speaker 5: people from listening if their music means something to them.
- 27:17Speaker 5: And we had someone text us the other day when
- 27:19Speaker 5: we were talking about this and say, they still bump
- 27:22Speaker 5: R Kelly music.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Period. So that seems to be the case with this
- 27:26Speaker 5: young man who tells the Tampa Bay Times that Kanye
- 27:29Speaker 5: is just a human being and everyone makes mistakes.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Hey, that Hitler was a hell of a painter. He was.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I don't know if we're hanging his stuff on the wall. Yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 3: I don't know how many auctions I'm hitting up. I
- 27:45Speaker 3: don't know how many times on Paddle's going to see today. Like,
- 27:48Speaker 3: I feel like this is a great time to ask
- 27:50Speaker 3: you guys this. Have you ever seen anything like that
- 27:53Speaker 3: story ever in a different decade?
- 27:57Speaker 5: Nope?
- 27:58Speaker 3: Like was there always some level of like this man
- 28:02Speaker 3: came out with a song and I don't even like
- 28:04Speaker 3: saying the title of the song, but like it makes
- 28:07Speaker 3: me feel uncomfortable. What was the song? I do not right?
- 28:09Speaker 3: I believe the name of the song is uh, it's
- 28:13Speaker 3: it's Hoyle Hitler. Oh yeah, yeah, Jesus Ross, what are
- 28:16Speaker 3: you doing? No? No, don't you do it? Is that
- 28:19Speaker 3: what you want that audio drop with these eyes? Man,
- 28:24Speaker 3: I don't I don't need that. I don't need that.
- 28:27Speaker 3: But like, yeah, that's crazy. No, nothing like that, right,
- 28:29Speaker 3: there's no more ramifications. You get more, you get racially
- 28:34Speaker 3: charged stuff, but nothing like that. Nothing you know, swearing
- 28:37Speaker 3: allegiance to or praising a you know, the worst human
- 28:40Speaker 3: being they ever lived.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Well, when you see it with I mean in places
- 28:43Speaker 5: that you normally wouldn't have seen holding office, I mean yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 5: I mean, who's who's a rap star? When you the
- 28:50Speaker 5: highest office is you know, some of the highest.
- 28:52Speaker 3: It's just such a great example of just collectively as
- 28:55Speaker 3: a society, how desensitized we are to there's just there's
- 29:00Speaker 3: no more ramifications because they we basically as a you know,
- 29:03Speaker 3: as a Western society, cut the cord in a weird
- 29:06Speaker 3: way because now, what are you gonna do. I'm gonna
- 29:08Speaker 3: side skirt all people of power, go on the internet
- 29:11Speaker 3: and move these tickets. Yeah, Kanye is gonna sell out
- 29:13Speaker 3: that's that stadium twice. But Pete row is still not
- 29:15Speaker 3: in the Hall of Fame.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's never gonna make sense, all right. Finally,
- 29:19Speaker 5: the price for the long anticipated Grand Theft Auto six
- 29:23Speaker 5: video game has been revealed through rap Star Games. Good
- 29:28Speaker 5: announced it will cost gamers.
- 29:30Speaker 3: How much, See Jaden thought it was gonna be like
- 29:32Speaker 3: one hundred and twenty five dollars or something. Really, yeah,
- 29:36Speaker 3: that's what he thought, which would be like usually what
- 29:39Speaker 3: thirty or forty dollars over what a normal game would cost. Correct,
- 29:42Speaker 3: right now, it's still in the seventy dollars range, right ross, Yeah, games,
- 29:46Speaker 3: there's it's weird. This is actually the biggest array of
- 29:49Speaker 3: different prices. Always throughout video game history, it's been a
- 29:52Speaker 3: set price, but right now there's different numbers getting dropped. Yes,
- 29:55Speaker 3: I'll go one hundred and ten dollars, okay, So to
- 29:58Speaker 3: buy the basic single player version of the game will
- 30:01Speaker 3: cost gamers about eighty dollars.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Okay, that's coming in at seventy nine to ninety nine.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto six Ultimate Edition will set fans
- 30:11Speaker 5: back about one hundred bucks, not bad, ninety nine ninety nine,
- 30:13Speaker 5: which is not a bad price for the ultimate package.
- 30:15Speaker 3: It's worth it, and I'm gonna tell you, I still
- 30:17Speaker 3: hear gamers bitching about that, and I do not get
- 30:20Speaker 3: it for the value you get for one hundred dollars
- 30:23Speaker 3: or seventy five dollars. You have no idea that's pennies
- 30:27Speaker 3: on the minute of entertainment. You're right, absolutely right, because
- 30:30Speaker 3: if you're lucky, I think the first one, I don't know.
- 30:33Speaker 3: I stopped after maybe a couple hundred hours into the game. Yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 3: but still that would be what two dollars a dollar
- 30:40Speaker 3: an hour? As much as a mint an hour? How
- 30:42Speaker 3: much as a movie when you go to the movies? Now?
- 30:44Speaker 3: Is it like fourteen dollars, teen bucks or fifteen bucks
- 30:46Speaker 3: go to a movie? Yeah?
- 30:47Speaker 5: Well, pre orders for the game will open on Thursday,
- 30:50Speaker 5: and the game itself is set to drop on November
- 30:53Speaker 5: twenty eight.

- 31:40Speaker 14: hundred percent should have been eye Blank Blood by Cannibal Forks.
- 31:44Speaker 14: If you're wondering what the blank is? It ties very
- 31:46Speaker 14: good into the pick the porn segment and it would
- 31:48Speaker 14: have been hilarious to see dev sing that. Anyway, hope
- 31:51Speaker 14: you all having a good day.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Peace to anybuddy, Thank you for that.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Don't know if they would have had the lyrics for that.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Good suggestions.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I would like to go up to the guy

- 32:14Speaker 3: huge fan. A right, Welcome back to the Jim Kolber Show.
- 32:16Speaker 3: I'm doing There's death he Jack yep Ross is here
- 32:19Speaker 3: as well. It's true we'll do animal outs in a second,
- 32:21Speaker 3: but Darryl Pain's been dropping by for this first segment
- 32:24Speaker 3: to kind of set it up and have you guys
- 32:25Speaker 3: call if you have issues with your dog's behavior. That's
- 32:27Speaker 3: what Pawfection Dog Training does. You guys give it up.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Good Lune forster Daryl Pain.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Do.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna I was just gonna use your
- 32:35Speaker 3: initials there, but we're not gonna do that. How are
- 32:37Speaker 3: you doing, buddy, Yeah, I'm doing great. Yeah, that's awesome.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Uh you uh you said you're maybe sliding back to
- 32:43Speaker 3: England for a.
- 32:44Speaker 10: Few days, back to the Motherland for just twelve days.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, just twelve days his.
- 32:47Speaker 10: Voice, two hundred and fiftieth birthday coming up, trees to day. Yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 10: but before I get you baiting in the streets.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a while. My daughter works for an airline, so, uh,
- 32:58Speaker 3: I was talking to your it's probably about a month
- 33:01Speaker 3: and a half ago, and I'm like, what are you
- 33:02Speaker 3: guys doing this weekend? She goes, Oh, we're popping over
- 33:03Speaker 3: to Spain for a few days, like just flying over
- 33:06Speaker 3: there for like three days and then flying right back
- 33:08Speaker 3: like that just seems insane to me. It seems like
- 33:10Speaker 3: you should have to plan for five years to go
- 33:12Speaker 3: over seats. But it really isn't a big deal.
- 33:13Speaker 10: And mean, we used to go to front shopping. Oh really, well,
- 33:16Speaker 10: we dropped the kids at school. We go we'd had
- 33:18Speaker 10: some Paris for lunch, get some some cheap beer on
- 33:21Speaker 10: the way back, and pick the kids up at three o'clock.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Like on the train because of where your house is.
- 33:25Speaker 3: R Yeah, well you drive onto the train. Oh do
- 33:27Speaker 3: you really?
- 33:28Speaker 10: Yeah, you just drive onto the train and then you know,
- 33:30Speaker 10: the doors shut every kind of fourth car and you go,
- 33:33Speaker 10: you sit in your call the way through, and then
- 33:35Speaker 10: you drive off the train the other end. No way, Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 10: it's really cool.
- 33:38Speaker 3: How long's that trip?
- 33:40Speaker 10: It is just twenty six miles. It takes about half
- 33:42Speaker 10: an hour.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Half an hour. Do you leave your car running?
- 33:45Speaker 10: No, you just drive on, you know, and you literally
- 33:47Speaker 10: drive into the carriage and and then you just sit there.
- 33:51Speaker 10: You put the radio on they have like a little
- 33:52Speaker 10: radio station themselves, and drive off the other end.
- 33:55Speaker 3: And that still exists. Yeah, absolutely, damn Is it expensive? No?
- 33:59Speaker 10: Really, I mean you can get the normal train. I mean,
- 34:02Speaker 10: you don't have to take a car. But it's just
- 34:04Speaker 10: if you're going shopping over there where you just want
- 34:05Speaker 10: to drive around France, it's you know, it's a great
- 34:08Speaker 10: way that it is.
- 34:09Speaker 3: All of Europe the same when it comes to the
- 34:10Speaker 3: driving rules, like I know in England's you know, you
- 34:12Speaker 3: drive on the other side the road that we drive here.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Is that the same all throughout Europe pretty much? Is it?
- 34:17Speaker 10: It's just England that just tried to confuse people. Yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 10: it's just exciting when I go back now because I've
- 34:22Speaker 10: been here seventeen years. So when I go back now,
- 34:25Speaker 10: it can get exciting if there's no other cars around,
- 34:27Speaker 10: because they give me a clue as to where to be.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 10: But if I come out of a you know, out
- 34:32Speaker 10: of a parking lot and I'm the only car on
- 34:33Speaker 10: the road, it takes a while. It hang on a second.
- 34:35Speaker 10: Which way am I supposed to be here?
- 34:37Speaker 11: You do?
- 34:37Speaker 15: Uh?
- 34:37Speaker 3: Does Europe have the East scooters that we have here,
- 34:40Speaker 3: the scourge of the eastcooters and e bakes that we
- 34:43Speaker 3: have in our big cities.
- 34:44Speaker 10: Not as much. They started to come in in England
- 34:48Speaker 10: about three or four years ago and they stamped on
- 34:51Speaker 10: them pretty quick.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Oh did they really?
- 34:52Speaker 10: Yeah, So they don't have the scale of the problem
- 34:56Speaker 10: that seems to have sprouted up here. Yeah, and I mean,
- 34:59Speaker 10: I'm can what wasn't e bike where it's just pedal
- 35:03Speaker 10: assist they've now become electric motorcycles.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, basically with seven year old d in the street,
- 35:10Speaker 3: it's almost like the pedals are just there just to
- 35:12Speaker 3: say it's a bicycle.
- 35:13Speaker 10: Some of them anymore. It's terrifying in that neighborhood. You know,
- 35:17Speaker 10: there's gangs of Minnie Hell's Angels.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Oh really, that's so funny. The electric angels. The angels,
- 35:25Speaker 3: that's what we call it. We take things very seriously.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I always manifest I don't know about you guys, but
- 35:31Speaker 3: whenever I see someone on a scooter. Maybe this makes
- 35:34Speaker 3: me a bad person, but I'm I'm rooting for them
- 35:37Speaker 3: to fall a little bit. Come on, I'm not. I'm not.
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm just manifesting it. Okay, it's true.
- 35:43Speaker 10: Who doesn't want to see true from he's already said
- 35:48Speaker 10: this morning, this afternoon, I'm talking just like drunk people.
- 35:52Speaker 3: And then they throw that dice. I'm like, oh, your
- 35:55Speaker 3: balance is off, all right?
- 35:56Speaker 11: Darrel?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Is whit penny run perffection dog training. We'll get into
- 35:58Speaker 3: that here in a few seconds, but we do want
- 36:00Speaker 3: to do in the next segment for Animal House is
- 36:02Speaker 3: Daryl will take questions if you have a dog that's
- 36:05Speaker 3: having some behavioral issues. Maybe they're peeing in the house, pooping, barking,
- 36:09Speaker 3: or maybe you've added another animal to the house or
- 36:12Speaker 3: not getting along with or they're exhibiting some kind of
- 36:14Speaker 3: odd behavior and you can't figure it out and nothing
- 36:16Speaker 3: you do works. If you give us a call, Daryl
- 36:19Speaker 3: can give you some professional advice on how you could
- 36:21Speaker 3: possibly train your dog out of that at home, but
- 36:25Speaker 3: if not, obviously can give you some examples of how
- 36:27Speaker 3: he would do it as a professional. But before we
- 36:29Speaker 3: get to that, you know, I know that you have
- 36:31Speaker 3: some kind of cool little dog trivia that I think
- 36:34Speaker 3: is kind of fun as well.
- 36:35Speaker 10: Yeah, well, well we talked about this before on this
- 36:38Speaker 10: first segment, maybe given a few facts and stuff like that.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Yeah, stuff that people might not want to know.
- 36:43Speaker 10: So you know, I've been trolling through and you know,
- 36:45Speaker 10: seeing stuff that people might find interesting. Something came up
- 36:50Speaker 10: this week, and I know Jack's put it up on
- 36:52Speaker 10: the site for people to see this right now in
- 36:54Speaker 10: consuming thing Yeah NFM slash watch. You can say right now,
- 36:57Speaker 10: some people will wander, you know, a certain time the
- 37:00Speaker 10: dog starts to get antsy about you know, you coming
- 37:02Speaker 10: home if you're looking on a camera and stuff. Experts
- 37:05Speaker 10: have found that dogs can actually smell time.
- 37:08Speaker 3: They can smell time.
- 37:10Speaker 10: What happens is there's a certain amount of your scents
- 37:14Speaker 10: in the house in the morning. Now, when the house
- 37:16Speaker 10: is left empty, that scent will dissipate during the day
- 37:20Speaker 10: and at a certain point when you come home. If
- 37:22Speaker 10: you come home the same time each day, there's the
- 37:24Speaker 10: same amount of scent now available to the dog. So
- 37:27Speaker 10: the dog can time.
- 37:29Speaker 3: How long that you're going to be in the house
- 37:31Speaker 3: based on how long your scent last.
- 37:32Speaker 10: And now, so as it starts to dissipate, the dog realizes, oh,
- 37:36Speaker 10: we're getting to the point now where people are going
- 37:38Speaker 10: to start coming home. Because it's that's association. Wow, on
- 37:42Speaker 10: the same vein with the no because a lot of
- 37:45Speaker 10: it is the nose, because it's the it's the you know,
- 37:47Speaker 10: the most important asset. You know that nostrils work separate
- 37:51Speaker 10: from each.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Other and dogs, the right and left master al are different, yet.
- 37:55Speaker 10: They work independently like eyeballs.
- 37:59Speaker 16: People.
- 38:01Speaker 10: A couple of girls I went out with there, it
- 38:03Speaker 10: looks in different. So the left nostril will work to
- 38:09Speaker 10: detect familiar sense people, they know, certain foods, things like that.
- 38:14Speaker 10: The right nostril concentrates more on unfamiliar things and things
- 38:18Speaker 10: that might be dangerous. Really, and so they work independent
- 38:21Speaker 10: of each other, but they work at the same time.
- 38:23Speaker 10: And the nose is constantly sniffing in and out. It's
- 38:27Speaker 10: breathing in and out at the same time, so they
- 38:31Speaker 10: can actually it's like a figure of eight kind of thing.
- 38:33Speaker 10: They don't breathe in and out like we do. It's
- 38:37Speaker 10: in and out at the same time. So they're constantly
- 38:39Speaker 10: scanning the air for familiar and unfamiliar things.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Wow, did you know?
- 38:43Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 38:44Speaker 3: Freezy?
- 38:44Speaker 8: Is that?
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yeah? So, And it also says right here that the
- 38:48Speaker 3: right nostril is more about private insurance and then noral
- 38:53Speaker 3: is about public insurance. But dogs dream, you know, they dream.
- 38:58Speaker 3: They have to, right, because they have actions in the
- 39:00Speaker 3: are in their sleep.
- 39:01Speaker 10: I was going to say, you've ever seen your dog
- 39:02Speaker 10: when they sort of seem to be running and squeaking
- 39:05Speaker 10: as they go, they're dreaming about the things they did
- 39:07Speaker 10: that day, maybe chasing squirrels or chasing a ball and
- 39:11Speaker 10: stuff like that. They have the same kind of thing
- 39:13Speaker 10: when they dream. They have dream patterns the same as we.
- 39:15Speaker 3: I'll be down.
- 39:18Speaker 10: I think I've talked about this before. But they can
- 39:20Speaker 10: also sense stress in you, you know, so they'll pick
- 39:25Speaker 10: up on changes in your hormones, your physiology, and they'll
- 39:29Speaker 10: smell that. They will sense that through the verroman nasal
- 39:32Speaker 10: organ which is how you know. They come up to
- 39:36Speaker 10: you when you're depressed or you're you know, you're unhappy,
- 39:40Speaker 10: or you're sick. Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and they'll come up to you. You know what
- 39:43Speaker 3: about drunk? If I'm drunk, can my dog be like,
- 39:46Speaker 3: oh god.
- 39:47Speaker 10: You need an assistance dog. We'll keep you with the nose.
- 39:54Speaker 10: It's like a fingerprint. A dog's nose they've found is
- 39:59Speaker 10: unique to the dogs. We'll see the animal as fingerprints
- 40:02Speaker 10: on to us.
- 40:03Speaker 3: I'll be damned.
- 40:04Speaker 10: So you can actually identify a dog through its nose print?
- 40:08Speaker 3: Does somebody do that? I mean, is there a company
- 40:10Speaker 3: that does that?
- 40:10Speaker 6: Oh?
- 40:10Speaker 10: I mentioned that, probably is. I've just got this vision
- 40:13Speaker 10: now of every fold this is out there, all these
- 40:15Speaker 10: dogs walking around with painting on their nose tomorrow.
- 40:18Speaker 3: That's funny because I didn't realize it wasn't well, you
- 40:20Speaker 3: couldn't wash it.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Off.
- 40:21Speaker 3: All right, this is very cool, man, that's awesome stuff.
- 40:24Speaker 3: If you want to call Darryl and ask about your
- 40:26Speaker 3: dog's behavior, you could do that. Four oh seven nine
- 40:28Speaker 3: one six, one o four one. We'll take a little break,
- 40:30Speaker 3: give you some give you time to get loaded up.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Then we'll take those questions next right here on the
- 40:34Speaker 3: Jim Colbert Shows, stay put.
- 40:36Speaker 13: Deputy skychecking and long time no chat. Let's see, since
- 40:40Speaker 13: I retired, been to the beach body days, spent a
- 40:43Speaker 13: whole bunch of the rest of the days in the pool.
- 40:45Speaker 13: In the backyard, I've grown the most facial hair I've
- 40:48Speaker 13: ever grown, lost twenty pounds, planted a herb garden, planted
- 40:52Speaker 13: a vegetable garden, and last night I ripped all the
- 40:55Speaker 13: floor out of the upstairs because my son moved out.
- 40:58Speaker 13: And now my wife and I are empty nesters. Yeah,
- 41:00Speaker 13: I gotta pull all that apart. Have fun, hizy and.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Will met I say, verily, I say to thee it
- 41:11Speaker 3: is thye middest of the week, thine hump day. You're
- 41:16Speaker 3: better than halfway there, I say, verily, And all that
- 41:22Speaker 3: all right, Welcome back to the Jim Golver Show or
- 41:24Speaker 3: a radio one or four point one. I'm Jim, dab
- 41:26Speaker 3: Jack and Ross are here as well. Let's do Animal House.
- 41:29Speaker 1: She likes them fuzzy, furrey, feathery, tough and scaly. It's
- 41:35Speaker 1: time for Animal House with Roberts.
- 41:38Speaker 5: And Animal House is generously brought to us each and
- 41:41Speaker 5: every week by personal injury attorney Glenn Klausman over at
- 41:44Speaker 5: Klasmon Law. Will tell you how you can get in
- 41:46Speaker 5: touch with Glenn at the end of Animal House. But
- 41:48Speaker 5: now please join me in reintroducing Darryl Payne from popetchin
- 41:51Speaker 5: dub Change.
- 41:56Speaker 10: It's I get too cheeseya.
- 41:58Speaker 3: You're the only one, Yeah, not deserving it, and I'm
- 42:01Speaker 3: gonna be honest with you. Uh. Phones are open, guys.
- 42:04Speaker 3: We do have a call if you want to get
- 42:05Speaker 3: in there four seven nine four one. Again, if your
- 42:08Speaker 3: animal is exhibiting some crazy behavior that you can't seem
- 42:12Speaker 3: to understand, we can also take a text as well
- 42:14Speaker 3: at seven seven zero three one. Give us a call.
- 42:16Speaker 3: We'll do that.
- 42:17Speaker 10: Well.
- 42:17Speaker 5: We do have a rather interesting question on the texting service, Darryl.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Someone wanted to know, speaking of their nose, what do
- 42:23Speaker 5: you think about scented dog shampoo? My wife gets ours
- 42:26Speaker 5: a lavender one that he used for a week because
- 42:29Speaker 5: he does not wear his glasses in the shower.
- 42:32Speaker 10: It's actually I've always used baby shampoo in my dog.
- 42:36Speaker 10: It's the best, yeah, and a lot cheaper. Yeah, you know,
- 42:42Speaker 10: he's tested more than stuff they put on babies.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Not only that, you know, a really good one, especially
- 42:46Speaker 5: if your dog is having skin issues. Bad yourself, get
- 42:51Speaker 5: out of here, you serious, absolutely wow.
- 42:53Speaker 10: On the whole body or just that one bit the
- 42:56Speaker 10: whole body. Yeah, so I'll use body shampoo. The thing
- 42:59Speaker 10: we long sense. They remember how powerful their nose is,
- 43:03Speaker 10: so you could drive them crazy, you know.
- 43:06Speaker 5: So there's no need for it, not really a the
- 43:08Speaker 5: lavender doesn't calm them down like the bottle mate sad.
- 43:11Speaker 10: And there's actually no need to bathe the dogs as
- 43:13Speaker 10: many times as we do, because what we do is
- 43:15Speaker 10: we wash the natural oils.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Out of them.
- 43:17Speaker 10: So grooming the dog is one thing, you know, brushing
- 43:20Speaker 10: them out and combing them and getting rid of that
- 43:22Speaker 10: sort of scurf and fur and stuff like that. But
- 43:25Speaker 10: you don't need to bathe the dogs as much because
- 43:27Speaker 10: you get rid of their natural thing. It's like shaving
- 43:29Speaker 10: dogs in the summer. Don't shave them because the coat
- 43:33Speaker 10: keeps them cool as well as warm. Oh really, yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 10: I mean take out the you know, some of the
- 43:38Speaker 10: undercoat and the stuff that's dead because it allows the
- 43:40Speaker 10: air to flow around the skin. But by bathing them
- 43:44Speaker 10: all the time or shaving them, you're reducing their own
- 43:47Speaker 10: ability to regulate their.
- 43:48Speaker 5: Heat, and then you're going to end up with skin issues,
- 43:51Speaker 5: which you know can be recurring and very expensive.
- 43:54Speaker 10: So yeah, don't go crazy on the on the bathing.
- 43:56Speaker 3: All right, let's get do it. Then we do have
- 43:58Speaker 3: a couple of cars here, let's get do them. Hey
- 43:59Speaker 3: Cody doing, you're on with Darryl pen from Perfection Dog Training.
- 44:03Speaker 12: Good, how y'all doing today?
- 44:04Speaker 10: Good?
- 44:04Speaker 12: Hey, Cody, I have a six month old Greek Dan.
- 44:09Speaker 12: I was starting up a puppy coming up. She was
- 44:11Speaker 12: doing good with the training, you know, party training, did well,
- 44:13Speaker 12: you know, all the commands, you know, she did well.
- 44:18Speaker 12: And then all of a sudden she hit six months
- 44:19Speaker 12: old up, So about a month ago, she just all
- 44:21Speaker 12: of a sudden did a one to eighty nine. She's
- 44:22Speaker 12: destroying stuff in the house, pottying in the house, being
- 44:26Speaker 12: hard headed, not listening, not wanting to listen to commands.
- 44:29Speaker 17: Aren't great Deans kind of known for that, Daryl, Well,
- 44:31Speaker 17: all dogs are at that age. Oh really Yeah, what
- 44:33Speaker 17: was happening with Cody's dog is Cody's dogs come out
- 44:36Speaker 17: from being a baby to being a teenager. Six to
- 44:39Speaker 17: ten months is when the dogs change. They start to
- 44:41Speaker 17: push the boundaries. They seem to do a U turn,
- 44:43Speaker 17: they go backwards and they and they're pushing you to
- 44:47Speaker 17: see what they can get away with. They become obnoxious
- 44:49Speaker 17: at times. That's the time most people call us. Actually
- 44:53Speaker 17: a lot of people call us when the dog's eight
- 44:54Speaker 17: weeks looking ahead to things. But when we do the
- 44:57Speaker 17: puppy training, we do an in home session when the
- 45:00Speaker 17: when the pup's very young. But we always go back
- 45:03Speaker 17: around the six to ten months stage for this very reason,
- 45:06Speaker 17: because they will start to challenge you at that age.
- 45:08Speaker 17: So what it's not that she's not potty trained anymore,
- 45:13Speaker 17: It's that she just can't be bothered to be potty
- 45:15Speaker 17: trained anymore, so, you know, and playing you up. She's
- 45:19Speaker 17: pushing the boundary. She's testing you to see what kind
- 45:22Speaker 17: of leader you are, you know, and what she can
- 45:24Speaker 17: get away with.
- 45:25Speaker 8: You know.
- 45:25Speaker 10: This is one that they give us a call when
- 45:28Speaker 10: we go over there. It's like the instruction book that
- 45:29Speaker 10: didn't come with the dog that should have done.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 10: So we teach the human everything they need to know
- 45:34Speaker 10: about the dog, how to deal with things, and really
- 45:37Speaker 10: give them the knowledge and the experience they need to
- 45:40Speaker 10: go forward. So they don't really need us anymore. Though
- 45:42Speaker 10: we give them a lifetime guarantee, but they don't really
- 45:45Speaker 10: need us anymore. But this is the point where there's
- 45:48Speaker 10: you haven't done anything wrong. It's just she's grown up
- 45:51Speaker 10: and she's a female, so they're a little more.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Set up a schedule for you, so that way you
- 45:57Speaker 3: can to get some training and get that done with.
- 45:59Speaker 4: You.
- 45:59Speaker 5: Didn't say she's extra hard headed, did you?
- 46:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 46:01Speaker 10: And he got same six six six years into marriage
- 46:05Speaker 10: and bound.
- 46:07Speaker 3: And I gave one says here it says, my daughter
- 46:12Speaker 3: has a dog that has PTSD and we'll have nightmares
- 46:14Speaker 3: and her dog will sense it and wake up before
- 46:16Speaker 3: it gets too bad. And her dog is not a
- 46:18Speaker 3: special drained dog. I think she's just bragging there. He
- 46:20Speaker 3: now loved the show of a sixteen year old miniature
- 46:22Speaker 3: Schnauzer who has lymph nodes for about a year and
- 46:25Speaker 3: a half don't want to risk surgery. Wonder if there's
- 46:27Speaker 3: anything you can recommend to possibly prevent it from growing
- 46:30Speaker 3: or dissipating.
- 46:31Speaker 10: So you're not a vet either, So now that's any
- 46:33Speaker 10: kind of medical questions. I really would you know put
- 46:36Speaker 10: you to you that the previous call. That was interesting
- 46:38Speaker 10: because it does bring up a point that dogs will
- 46:41Speaker 10: naturally detect things like, you know, if she if she's
- 46:46Speaker 10: got PTSD and she's having night terrorists and stuff like that,
- 46:49Speaker 10: the dog will pick up on her body language and
- 46:51Speaker 10: things like that. When it comes to service dogs, service
- 46:53Speaker 10: dogs for people with PTSD need very little specific training
- 46:58Speaker 10: because just the bond with the person is enough for
- 47:01Speaker 10: the dog to learn that person's natural body rhythm and
- 47:04Speaker 10: body language.
- 47:05Speaker 5: It was fascinating watching my nephew's service dog, who was
- 47:08Speaker 5: trained to detect seizures.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Yeah, could be.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Playing, doing anything anywhere in the house and inexplicably he
- 47:15Speaker 5: would alert and run to my nephew and everybody knew,
- 47:18Speaker 5: stop what you're doing, a seizures on its way. It
- 47:21Speaker 5: was the most amazing thing to see.
- 47:23Speaker 10: Yeah, No, I mean people are paying thirty to fifty
- 47:25Speaker 10: thousand dollars for a service dog to detect things like.
- 47:28Speaker 5: PTSD, you know, or that's not necessary.
- 47:31Speaker 10: It isn't because the dogs being trained away from that
- 47:34Speaker 10: person doesn't even know that person, right. You know, all
- 47:36Speaker 10: they're doing really is the obedience and the socialization. You know,
- 47:40Speaker 10: you can try it a lot less, you know, and
- 47:43Speaker 10: a lot better.
- 47:44Speaker 3: It's kind of ruined like the whole dog relationship though,
- 47:47Speaker 3: right because I love seeing my dog. But if I
- 47:50Speaker 3: was in those shoes and then I see my dog,
- 47:52Speaker 3: I'm like, oh god, oh no.
- 47:53Speaker 5: That's the best thing because you're you're getting ahead of
- 47:56Speaker 5: the problem.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, but like next thing, I know, my dog
- 48:01Speaker 3: is more of like a seizure heads up doppler. Like
- 48:03Speaker 3: every time I see my dog, I'm like, I gotta
- 48:05Speaker 3: sit down. But here we go.
- 48:07Speaker 10: It still comes to you when you weren't having a
- 48:09Speaker 10: station show.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Yeah it doesn't. But how can you tell how are
- 48:12Speaker 3: your dogs doing? By the way, ross are they? Because
- 48:14Speaker 3: I know that you have multiple issues with your dogs. Well, no,
- 48:18Speaker 3: it's just one dog. One dog started behaving really well
- 48:21Speaker 3: and now she's turned a corner. I'm really proud of
- 48:23Speaker 3: my dog, Hazel.
- 48:24Speaker 10: You could actually say that dog was having multiple issues
- 48:28Speaker 10: with its own.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's definitely having multiple issues with it. I turned up.
- 48:32Speaker 3: I started, like, you know, just responding to emails in general.
- 48:36Speaker 3: So everything's going well with that dog, but my other
- 48:38Speaker 3: dog is being I mean, there's no easy way to
- 48:41Speaker 3: say it. She's on her way out and it's been brutal.
- 48:44Speaker 3: If I'm being honest with you, she's not been doing well.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Oh that sucks. So having a toddler and a senile dog,
- 48:52Speaker 3: she's now handicapped. She's blind. Damn dude. Yeah, yeah, somebody
- 48:56Speaker 3: to text in and ask. You know, you mentioned about
- 48:59Speaker 3: not watching the dog that much. I mean, how often
- 49:01Speaker 3: should you? Is this a once a month scenario?
- 49:03Speaker 10: I would say once a month is unless there's a
- 49:05Speaker 10: reason for it, right, rolling around a dead fish or
- 49:08Speaker 10: something like that. They're not fine. But I mean if
- 49:10Speaker 10: you groom a dog every day, you know, per it's
- 49:13Speaker 10: twenty minutes thirty minutes of grooming. Yeah, and what we
- 49:17Speaker 10: we say it's the ABC because in England we call
- 49:19Speaker 10: it ands ands, brush and comb. You sort of kind
- 49:23Speaker 10: of massage the dog first. That loosens up the dead
- 49:25Speaker 10: hair and the scurf and stuff like that. Then you
- 49:27Speaker 10: brush it the wrong way with you one of these
- 49:30Speaker 10: bristley brushes and then comb it out the right way
- 49:34Speaker 10: and then just like a leather you do the car
- 49:37Speaker 10: with it takes everything off. That's what you really know
- 49:40Speaker 10: is once once every day or every other day, and
- 49:43Speaker 10: then keep the bathing to press once a month.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Let's end up with this because I think it's important.
- 49:47Speaker 3: We won't see you again before fourth of July. Yeah,
- 49:50Speaker 3: and of course we know it is America's two fifty
- 49:53Speaker 3: normal Fourth of July are very difficult on dogs. This
- 49:56Speaker 3: one could be way worse because these parties could go
- 49:58Speaker 3: late into the night, could be for FIREWORKI uh, this
- 50:01Speaker 3: kind of this year, and we just didn't have somebody
- 50:04Speaker 3: talk about violently shaking during thunderstorms or loud noises. And
- 50:09Speaker 3: just as a professional, we know that there are products
- 50:11Speaker 3: out there, but there are people also who don't like
- 50:14Speaker 3: to give their dogs things like that. Is there a natural,
- 50:16Speaker 3: more normal way to keep your dog safe and they're
- 50:20Speaker 3: during firework shows to be.
- 50:21Speaker 10: To be honest, there isn't. I mean, things like dog
- 50:23Speaker 10: prozac and stuff like that can increase aggression in dogs
- 50:27Speaker 10: as a as a side effect, it will just zonk
- 50:30Speaker 10: the dog out. So in extreme cases, speak to the vat,
- 50:33Speaker 10: but I'm not a massive fan of medicating dogs. The
- 50:36Speaker 10: shaking is a good thing. I know it looks awful,
- 50:38Speaker 10: but it's a good thing because the dog is getting
- 50:41Speaker 10: rid of the adrenaline that's coming into the body because
- 50:43Speaker 10: it is the noise the fight off flight. Right, So
- 50:46Speaker 10: the shaking is good. Haven't it given it somewhere to go,
- 50:50Speaker 10: either with you or if it wants to go under
- 50:52Speaker 10: the stairs or somewhere safe, Let it do that.
- 50:55Speaker 5: And don't baby them? Right, Yeah, there's no baby there.
- 50:57Speaker 10: I mean, put some soft classical music on, you know,
- 51:01Speaker 10: fairly loud. It will drown it out a bit. Wiping
- 51:03Speaker 10: saying to people for about the last three months is
- 51:06Speaker 10: to start playing sounds or fireworks and thunder before the day,
- 51:10Speaker 10: increasing in sound to get ready for the fourth But
- 51:12Speaker 10: we're a little bit late in the day for that now.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:15Speaker 10: Yeah, it's going to be a challenge for a lot
- 51:17Speaker 10: of dogs. You know, empty the dogs early before it
- 51:20Speaker 10: gets dark, so that you're not taking them out just
- 51:23Speaker 10: as your neighbor sets off. Something is brought from amputing.
- 51:26Speaker 3: And it's still wild because some dogs react to it
- 51:28Speaker 3: and some don't. I have a miniature I had a
- 51:29Speaker 3: miniature doctor that never even blinked an eye. But yet
- 51:31Speaker 3: my one hundred and sixty pounds ball masts have ran
- 51:34Speaker 3: like a baby. It's still great. And my dog that
- 51:36Speaker 3: I have now, my little, my little sheets looking thing,
- 51:39Speaker 3: does not care about this sound at all. It does
- 51:41Speaker 3: not even bother her at the least bit.
- 51:43Speaker 10: If you can socialize a dog from puppy hood going
- 51:46Speaker 10: up into adulthood with the loud sounds, it's the best
- 51:49Speaker 10: thing because you never have to worry about thunderstorms or fireworks.
- 51:53Speaker 10: We used to take our box of two firework displays
- 51:55Speaker 10: and she would stand there watching the fireworks and the
- 51:58Speaker 10: noise didn't bother that's all. Yeah, you know, but a
- 52:01Speaker 10: lot of people have got rescue dogs and we don't
- 52:02Speaker 10: know what their history was. Yeah, they've had bad example,
- 52:06Speaker 10: you know, bad experiences. You know, I had a dog
- 52:08Speaker 10: in Texas that was abandoned on a military firing range.
- 52:12Speaker 10: So and it was there for three weeks while they
- 52:14Speaker 10: were doing exercises. I mean, you know, fourth of July
- 52:17Speaker 10: for that dog was something you know, spectacul I can
- 52:20Speaker 10: only imagine so how people value to make an appointment
- 52:22Speaker 10: if they want to give us a call four zero
- 52:23Speaker 10: seven four or five six one zero six six, join
- 52:28Speaker 10: the Facebook page. There's the members page at Perfection Dog
- 52:32Speaker 10: Training USA Members page, or there's the Perfection Dog Training
- 52:36Speaker 10: page on Facebook as well, or join the website or
- 52:39Speaker 10: go on the website Perfection dog Training dot com. And
- 52:43Speaker 10: we've just been asked to partner with Seminole County Animal
- 52:46Speaker 10: Services to educate their staff, train up their behaviorist, and
- 52:52Speaker 10: work with them in as far as getting some dogs homes.
- 52:57Speaker 10: And we're going to give them a sort of free
- 52:59Speaker 10: session whenever you Saturday. They're going to bring some rescue
- 53:02Speaker 10: dogs out, give him a run round the agility and
- 53:04Speaker 10: all that kind of stuff, just to give him a
- 53:06Speaker 10: break from the kennels and very nice that kind of stuff.
- 53:08Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 53:08Speaker 10: I'm excited about that partnership.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Here regulations, that's pretty awesome.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Well, as always, thank you to Darryl Payne and Pofection
- 53:17Speaker 5: And as always, Animal House is generously brought to us

- 53:24Speaker 5: a car, truck, motorcycle, even a slip and fall. Here's
- 53:28Speaker 5: just a couple of reasons why you need to call
- 53:29Speaker 5: Glenn first. Glenn doesn't pass you off to a case worker.
- 53:32Speaker 5: Glenn is going to handle your case so much so
- 53:34Speaker 5: he's going to give you his personal cell phone number

- 53:52Speaker 5: at Klosmanlaw dot com. That's k L S k l
- 53:55Speaker 5: A U s m An Law dot com for seven
- 53:59Speaker 5: nine one text us seven seven zero three one. Scott
- 54:02Speaker 5: Maxwell from the Orlando Sentinel Up next.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Yo JCS show, Love you guys man, been a long
- 54:19Speaker 4: time listener.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 54:20Speaker 16: You were talking about the cream soda and the cream
- 54:24Speaker 16: soda float and the root beer float, and you got
- 54:26Speaker 16: me thinking, I'm a big fan of ginger beer. There's
- 54:28Speaker 16: a company out of the Bahamas called Barretts and it's amazing.
- 54:31Speaker 16: And if you take it a little bit of ice
- 54:33Speaker 16: and you put some heavy cream over it, or even
- 54:35Speaker 16: some French vanilla creamer and then you fill it up
- 54:37Speaker 16: with root beer or ginger beer or cream soda. It's
- 54:40Speaker 16: mind blowing, I promise. I think they're calling it a
- 54:43Speaker 16: dirty soda right now.
- 54:46Speaker 3: That sounds good af.
- 54:49Speaker 5: Mont one.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Now you tread My day starts with that French vanilla
- 54:56Speaker 3: creamer and coffee. So I couldn't imagine putting it in
- 54:59Speaker 3: any anything else. Yeah, I couldn't. Yeah, all right, seven
- 55:03Speaker 3: seven zero three one. Welcome back to the Jim Corport Show,
- 55:06Speaker 3: Real Radio one oh four point one. Remember the poker
- 55:08Speaker 3: tournament tickets went on sale today. It's Real Radio dot
- 55:11Speaker 3: FM slash Poker. It was seventy percent sold out when
- 55:14Speaker 3: we started the show today at three o'clock. I hope
- 55:17Speaker 3: you can still get in, but if you want to go,
- 55:18Speaker 3: you better do it today or you are not gonna
- 55:21Speaker 3: make it. So again, that's Real Radio, dot FM slash Poker.
- 55:24Speaker 3: I'm Jim. There's deb Hello, Jack, Yo and Ross. Believe
- 55:27Speaker 3: in yourself. And every Wednesday about this time, our good
- 55:30Speaker 3: friend Scott Maxwell drops by from the Orlando Symthema to
- 55:33Speaker 3: talk about what he's writing about. You guys, give it
- 55:34Speaker 3: up good loud for the truth dragon, mister Scott Maxwell.
- 55:40Speaker 3: It was way louder, way louder for Darryl Payne, by
- 55:42Speaker 3: the way, Well, Darryl takes the time just coming out,
- 55:51Speaker 3: Daryl takes to come here to drink your coffee. Just black, don't.
- 55:55Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 55:55Speaker 18: No, actually, dude, I'm a cream and sugar guy, and
- 55:57Speaker 18: I used Oh my god, so am I, except it's uh,
- 55:59Speaker 18: I'm trying to move to natural stuff like agave to
- 56:04Speaker 18: sweeten it.
- 56:04Speaker 3: I used Turbonado sugar to sweet my sweeten mind because
- 56:08Speaker 3: I think I think cane find a cane or refined
- 56:11Speaker 3: sugar has like a synthetic flavor to it, So I
- 56:13Speaker 3: use the raw sugar. I think it's way better in
- 56:15Speaker 3: the brown bag. Yeah, in the brown bag.
- 56:17Speaker 18: Yeah, I liked the way the Cubans do, except it
- 56:19Speaker 18: takes fifty two bags.
- 56:21Speaker 13: Yea.
- 56:23Speaker 3: That's what I like about it, because it's a warm
- 56:25Speaker 3: sweet rather than that harsh kind of tinny sweet that
- 56:28Speaker 3: you get from a cane sugar. Let me ask you this,
- 56:32Speaker 3: do you prepare your coffee the night before? No, No,
- 56:35Speaker 3: I have a I have a I have an espresso,
- 56:38Speaker 3: so I do the pods in the George Clooney Yeah okay, yeah,
- 56:42Speaker 3: oh Jack had one too, but he took it back
- 56:44Speaker 3: because he's not fancy enough. Yeah, I returned it within
- 56:46Speaker 3: that thirty day window you get from out in his eye.
- 56:48Speaker 3: I was just about to say a fun guest.
- 56:50Speaker 18: And I got about six months use out of that thing,
- 56:52Speaker 18: and then got the refunds.
- 56:54Speaker 3: Jack said it back with twenty miles on it. I
- 56:57Speaker 3: realized it was costing me five times his much for
- 57:00Speaker 3: my coffee. Then the old math that I'm like, I'm
- 57:02Speaker 3: out of here. But the thing is, you say that,
- 57:04Speaker 3: but when you make a pot of coffee, do you
- 57:05Speaker 3: always drink the entire pot? I mean, did you have
- 57:07Speaker 3: that down to a science? You're talking to Jack, Yeah,
- 57:10Speaker 3: you're right, Sorry, but I got other people in NASA.
- 57:14Speaker 3: Are you a brewer, I mean, just a regular brewer. Yeah,
- 57:19Speaker 3: it's just a a yes, just like a drip coffee
- 57:21Speaker 3: brewer every morning. You don't have a machine that does it,
- 57:23Speaker 3: not a currig or anything like that. No, I mean
- 57:25Speaker 3: I have a cure for when when emergency strike.
- 57:28Speaker 18: But yes, and I am in charge of both my
- 57:31Speaker 18: coffee at my god awful hour and of having the
- 57:34Speaker 18: pot done fresh for my wife when she comes down.
- 57:37Speaker 3: When she hits out, when she hets up three hours
- 57:39Speaker 3: after you. Absolutely you when you get up, you want
- 57:42Speaker 3: That's why when someone else is up first, you're like,
- 57:44Speaker 3: I hope coffee is ready, and I don't have to
- 57:46Speaker 3: wait the five minutes for the brewer. And there's nothing
- 57:48Speaker 3: better in the world than coming out of your bedroom
- 57:50Speaker 3: to know that someone else's brewed coffee that morning. That
- 57:52Speaker 3: is a very telling you.
- 57:53Speaker 18: Two good pieces of advice I heard in life is
- 57:56Speaker 18: don't go to bed with dishes in your sink or
- 57:59Speaker 18: without out your coffee ready, because either one you will
- 58:02Speaker 18: regret the next morning.
- 58:04Speaker 3: The dishes in the same thing we had hear to
- 58:05Speaker 3: for sure. But our coffee is just a couple of
- 58:07Speaker 3: flips away, so we don't have any problem with that. Yeah. Well,
- 58:10Speaker 3: if I had radio money, well I'll get out of here.
- 58:12Speaker 3: Radio money stuff. Good, Lord of Mercy, you should read
- 58:15Speaker 3: that radio money.
- 58:16Speaker 18: I heard you guys got a little buck wild at
- 58:19Speaker 18: the company propaganda fest.
- 58:22Speaker 3: How does this get around so quickly? Everybody else by
- 58:25Speaker 3: the way it supposed to? He's the truth dragging. Oh
- 58:27Speaker 3: that's right, he's got he's got feelers everywhere. He saw
- 58:30Speaker 3: us drive by the old Orlando Sentinel building. Hey, buddy, listen,
- 58:34Speaker 3: I just I'm already said, I'm pathetic. Why do you
- 58:36Speaker 3: need to bring that up? Hey, we got a little
- 58:38Speaker 3: thing coming up. Can we say what we're starting? Can
- 58:40Speaker 3: we say the Ford Slash thing? Can we talk about that?
- 58:44Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah, very good. We're starting a whiskey or a whi
- 58:48Speaker 3: are we of the week coming up with our friends
- 58:49Speaker 3: at Ford Slash. That's gonna be starting in July. So buddy,
- 58:52Speaker 3: you gotta you gotta make a make it a point
- 58:54Speaker 3: and at least slide by once or once a month
- 58:56Speaker 3: and sit in on these tastings. But we're we're getting
- 58:59Speaker 3: we had the list today. We're getting some pretty crazy
- 59:01Speaker 3: stuff coming up for the next six months. Absolutely.
- 59:04Speaker 18: In fact, you remember, I think you all talked about
- 59:07Speaker 18: it when I was there last time. Those guys were
- 59:09Speaker 18: there when we were talking about the Sentinel.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the old Watchdogs. Yeah that's cool man. Yeah,
- 59:16Speaker 3: there there, We started an entire bit with them. We're
- 59:18Speaker 3: starting in July. We can't wait because they're just two
- 59:20Speaker 3: of the wonderful, most wonderful dudes, and their products are amazing.
- 59:23Speaker 3: And we already have the list of the whiskeys we're
- 59:25Speaker 3: gonna be trying, and it's it's looks insanely cool in depth,
- 59:29Speaker 3: don't I remember? You could take her leave Bourbon.
- 59:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not it's not one of my favorites. Yeah,
- 59:35Speaker 5: I think they did this honestly, Scott is a way
- 59:37Speaker 5: to kind of bribe you to come into the stations,
- 59:40Speaker 5: come back to us.
- 59:45Speaker 3: Always fun to be there. Usually I wait until Jim leaves.
- 59:47Speaker 3: But yeah, I want to know preference though. If it's
- 59:53Speaker 3: not bourbon, then what is it.
- 59:56Speaker 5: Well, I think it would be more bourbon than whiskey.
- 59:58Speaker 3: Okay, all right, it is a type of whiskey. B Yeah, yes, Scotch, bourbon,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: whatever you want to do. But everything pals to black
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: tar heroin, Yeah, for sure.
- 1:00:07Speaker 18: And I gotta tell you, in the summer I'm kind
- 1:00:09Speaker 18: of a fan to turn into it. I mean a
- 1:00:10Speaker 18: good old Gin and Tonic, yes, hit right.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: But it will be drinking a bunch of that soon.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: We're going on a little little trip. I love Gin
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: and Tonic in the summer with a little lemon. It's
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: the greatest. Yes, I like the kind that have a
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: little bit of the you know, herbal essences going on
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: in them. Oh, very nice drink. Yeah, yeah, let's go drink.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: I agree, you have to day drink Scott on vacation. Yeah,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: ye at home, Yeah, yah day. Drinking on vacation is
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: the absolute best. Although on a random Saturday when you
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: wake up and just figure out you don't want to
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: do anything, going to an oyster bar and hammering some
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: beers and eating oysters is pretty darn cool around. Let's
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: say you're pretty good.
- 1:00:48Speaker 18: Yeah, when we're on vacation, I'm usually playing catch up
- 1:00:51Speaker 18: with my wife. I think I've told you before that,
- 1:00:53Speaker 18: Like I turn around at nine point thirty and she's
- 1:00:56Speaker 18: got that look on her face like, yeah, it's tequila.
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: You know.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that picture from your vacation where it's
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: like nine thirty in the morning, and she said, that's right,
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: she's got the cocktail right there. No problems, absolutely all right,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Scott didn't have the coffee ready. Yeah, So more more
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Florida tax fun stuff.
- 1:01:14Speaker 18: Huh, well we got Yeah, we can talk about either
- 1:01:17Speaker 18: local taxes or or state taxes.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: I sent you a text.
- 1:01:22Speaker 18: I've been kind of blown away by what's going on
- 1:01:25Speaker 18: in Alligator Alcatraz, and I didn't think that was gonna
- 1:01:28Speaker 18: be possible because I kind of thought we already knew
- 1:01:31Speaker 18: what this was. But this This is kind of in
- 1:01:33Speaker 18: my estimation and I try not to use hyperbole, it
- 1:01:36Speaker 18: may be one of, if not the biggest taxpayer finance
- 1:01:39Speaker 18: boondogg holes I think this state has ever seen.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: The amount of money is just incredible for what we
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: got for it.
- 1:01:48Speaker 18: And I mean from day one when they first announced
- 1:01:51Speaker 18: this thing, they said they were gonna build, which basically
- 1:01:54Speaker 18: a prison in the Everglades out of tents and cages.
- 1:01:59Speaker 18: It's now got a bill of about a billion dollars.
- 1:02:02Speaker 18: The Feds are the ones that pulled the plug, and
- 1:02:04Speaker 18: I think, uh Donald Trump's uh did rond de Santa's
- 1:02:08Speaker 18: no favor by admitting that one of the reasons they
- 1:02:11Speaker 18: were pulling it down moving all the detainees out, is
- 1:02:14Speaker 18: because they said they didn't think it was a good
- 1:02:16Speaker 18: idea to have a soft sided facility in the middle
- 1:02:19Speaker 18: of hurricane season.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Well, no blame what right in Florida. That's exactly what
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: everybody said when it started. And by the way, you know,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: I heard the governor say that this was always supposed
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: to be a temporary facility. Do you remember that ever
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: being said when it was being erected? Do you remember
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: that ever being said when it was being put together
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: or being even proposed that it was going to be
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: a temporary facility. I don't remember that being said. I
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: do not, Jim, but let's just take it. Uh, let's
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: just say somebody did say that. Do you think you
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: anybody heard Ronda Santa say, here's what we're going to do,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: spend one billion dollars on something that's only temporary. Well,
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: we but the the new detail that got out that
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: I had sent you in a text yet yesterday that
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: kind of just blew my mind when I didn't think
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: it could be surprised, was that the contractors and that's
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: where that's where the that's where all the griftons happened. Man,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: that there these are no bid deals one after the other.
- 1:03:11Speaker 18: I think I told you about this porta Potty company
- 1:03:13Speaker 18: that was originally a contract let for ninety two million dollars.
- 1:03:17Speaker 18: The Miami Herald reported that that Port of Duty calls
- 1:03:20Speaker 18: love the name like the deal Duty calls that their
- 1:03:23Speaker 18: contracts now up to two hundred million dollars. You're now
- 1:03:26Speaker 18: talking about you're now talking about the budget for a
- 1:03:30Speaker 18: small city right there.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: But anyway, they brought in these contracts.
- 1:03:33Speaker 18: CBS News Miami got a hold of some of these contracts,
- 1:03:36Speaker 18: and they have riders in them that say, if the
- 1:03:39Speaker 18: state ever shuts down because it decides this is one
- 1:03:42Speaker 18: dumb ass idea and it costs way too much, they
- 1:03:45Speaker 18: have to pay the contractors even more money.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Y yeah, for go, so they get a no bid deal.
- 1:03:50Speaker 18: And then there's riders in the contract that CBS Miami
- 1:03:53Speaker 18: estimated it being more tens of millions more dollars. So
- 1:03:57Speaker 18: it's going to cost taxpayers even more just to shut
- 1:04:00Speaker 18: the thing.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: How is this?
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I mean? And the funny thing is is I I mean,
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: I see some people with outrage, but this seems to
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: be like not really hitting people. Is it just because
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: nobody understands the scope of this? Because the FEDS also
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: said that they would reimburse Florida for building it wasn't
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: that one of the onuses for building it to begin
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: with is because we got we got like a verbal
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: from the from the FEDS that they were going to
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: at least put a pretty good chunk of money toward this.
- 1:04:25Speaker 18: That was the understanding. That was certainly what the governor
- 1:04:28Speaker 18: said would be the case. Yes, that has that has
- 1:04:30Speaker 18: not been the case. That one pay I think the
- 1:04:32Speaker 18: last I read and there may be some development. There's
- 1:04:34Speaker 18: been some chunk of the money but has been reimbursed,
- 1:04:37Speaker 18: but not nearly what was promised. And I think, you know,
- 1:04:41Speaker 18: one of the things I've tried to distinct, make a
- 1:04:43Speaker 18: distinction with some people who are you know who for
- 1:04:46Speaker 18: whom cracking down on illegal immigration was a big thing,
- 1:04:50Speaker 18: is you can do that.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: We can do that.
- 1:04:53Speaker 18: I don't have any problem, uh with the notion of
- 1:04:56Speaker 18: you know, people who aren't be here breaking the law
- 1:04:58Speaker 18: holding that accountable. But you can do that with competitive bidding,
- 1:05:02Speaker 18: you can do that. With audits, you can do that.
- 1:05:05Speaker 18: And that's the other thing we're now, I think four
- 1:05:07Speaker 18: years into this declaration of emergency spending that Ron Desantus
- 1:05:13Speaker 18: declared state law absolutely declares that when this emergency spending
- 1:05:16Speaker 18: declaration is issued, then an audit has to be conducted
- 1:05:19Speaker 18: on all this money.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: We have not seen one.
- 1:05:22Speaker 18: Meanwhile, our clown show CFO is running around the state
- 1:05:27Speaker 18: streaming bloody murder about how Orlando's poet laureate gets six
- 1:05:31Speaker 18: thousand dollars a year in gas money and there's a
- 1:05:33Speaker 18: billion dollars and no big contracts not only being going
- 1:05:36Speaker 18: out the door in every lace but being more paid just.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: To pack up and leave it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Really, and to be honest with you, what the part
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: I don't understand is how does this not get also
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: bipartisan scorn. I mean, we understand the left is going
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: to people who are Republicans and they're supposed to be
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: fiscal hawks should be screaming to the clouds about this.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: I mean, this is what Republicans say that they hate
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: more than anything, fiscal waste from governments. I mean, this
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: is one of the property tax we talk about, this
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: property tax initiative, and one of the blowbacks we get
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: here is, well, the government's been too much money freely.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: The governments are wasting your money. Commissioners make too much money.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: We don't need all the parts of firework shows. But
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: yet there's a seven hundred and fifty million dollar hole
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: in the state budget just south of the year, and
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: they don't see a word about it. Not a syllable
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: wait on Twitter, which is you know, the sort of
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: the not known for mental acuity.
- 1:06:27Speaker 18: But respond to my Alcatraz column by saying, you know,
- 1:06:31Speaker 18: basically cry harder lib. Yeah, And I was just basically
- 1:06:35Speaker 18: made the point this column said only two things we
- 1:06:38Speaker 18: should have we should have competitively big contracts and audience. Right,
- 1:06:42Speaker 18: And I bet you go tell mommy and Daddy I'm
- 1:06:44Speaker 18: a fiscal conservative, right.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, that's the and that's the thing that's the
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: hypocrisy that I can't stand now, because we're getting into
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: these glory like you can't be part of a party
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: without kind of, you know, committing yourself completely to the
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: thought process. But yet the thought process when you look
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: at it like it's not logical. You know, you're you're
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: supposed to be somebody who hates the fact that big
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: governments out there. You're supposed to be the people who
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: are shaving these budgets down so you can maximize your
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: dollars and smaller government. I've never seen anything like it, Scott.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: When you said that Texas Morning, I literally looked at
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: it and I was just like, I just turn my
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: phone back over. It's almost like I don't want to
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: learn anything else about it, because already what you see
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: is so disgusting, it.
- 1:07:24Speaker 18: Is excremece and listen, I take off the partisan blinders
- 1:07:28Speaker 18: because just yesterday in today's paper, I had another column
- 1:07:31Speaker 18: that was raking our democratic mayor of Orange County over
- 1:07:34Speaker 18: the coals for hotel taxes. Where they are you talk
- 1:07:38Speaker 18: about something that blows your mind again. They are basically
- 1:07:40Speaker 18: paving the way to what I think is going to
- 1:07:43Speaker 18: be yet another expansion of the Orange County Convention Center.
- 1:07:46Speaker 18: This thing is seven million square feet. Just two years
- 1:07:52Speaker 18: ago they spent voted to spend another half billion dollars
- 1:07:56Speaker 18: on this.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: We got all kinds of needs.
- 1:07:59Speaker 18: Yeah, I'm just kind of tired of people putting on
- 1:08:01Speaker 18: partisan glasses and excuse and things when use these financial
- 1:08:05Speaker 18: issues need to be.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Cracked down on all the way. Oh yeah, for sure, Man,
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Always good talking to you, a big dog. Remember, we
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: got to get you in here one Friday when we
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: start doing this bourbon tasting and get a real prose
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: perspective on what we're tasting. I am not a pro,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: but I will have Fridays are a good day. I
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: can start drinking on linocent on dot com. You can
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: get your subscription today, Buddy, will see you soon. Have
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: a great week. You got man, all right? Four seven
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: nine one six one o four one textus seven seven
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: zero three one back at a second with more than
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: Jim Kolberg shows today. Right there got a game.
- 1:08:37Speaker 19: I've seen so that probiotic soda regular and I think cherry.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Uh so, yeah, so there you go. You can get
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: in the probiotic. Therey ain't there, Jimmy, Yeah, who did you?
- 1:08:53Speaker 9: You know?
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Your favorite tea In the Villains of the doll.
- 1:08:57Speaker 15: And today we raise a beard International Fear Day.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: Not your buddy.
- 1:09:02Speaker 15: But no, those creatures said, look all cute and whatnot,
- 1:09:06Speaker 15: but they're actually quite mean. They actually kidnapped children and
- 1:09:10Speaker 15: people sleeping outside and replace them with a changelingk It's true.
- 1:09:15Speaker 15: Any husans haven't got Joe.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: I didn't know that fairies are nefarious? Why are you
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: pre opposed to prebiotic sodas?
- 1:09:31Speaker 12: Uh?
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: You mean?
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Why do I not want to drink them?
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: Because Robbie doesn't want to have a blow out?
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Ross said he had a colon blowout when he
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: drank his, and I don't. I'm not in the fan
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: of it. He over indulges. Yeah, yeah, I drank too.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: I also am an overindulger.
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: Jack.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: I don't know we've met. You should try it, you
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: just you try it? Yeah, I try. I try to
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: avoid soda, but they if you look at the ingredients
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: in way, it's a lot better than this stuff. You're
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: currently drinking. Yeah maybe so not a maybe? What a
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: real quick welcome back. I'm Jim dev Jack and Rosser
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: here as well. What effect does it have on you?
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: I can you tell when you drink it, like like
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: when you drink a red Bull, you can tell, right,
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: because it's meant to do that. It gives you a
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: little jittery, a little energy or a little a little
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: jerky energy or whatever. Can you tell when you drink
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: a probiotic that it's done something for you? Only when
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: it's go time. When it's go time, right, right? Say
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: I don't want that what I don't want to dream
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: something that I only know it's working when I'm going
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: to the bathroom, because I don't have a problem with that, Dude,
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: I don't really have any gastrotestinal kind of going to
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: the bathroom problems. Yeah, but you don't know what you
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: don't know. You have to say you don't want any
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: more fiber in your diet, Well you'll currently have. I
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: have a pretty good diet, guys, I mean do you?
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: I mean today I had Doritos on a Twix, So
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: what's wrong with that? See what I'm doing it? And
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: then you would put the twigs inside of the dread it,
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: I get a little snacky. I did uh, just rice
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: and beans today for lunch and some stick. So you
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: go ahead, you rip one of these. So I'm gonna
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: bring one of these sodas in tomorrow. I'll try it,
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: but you have to drink the whole thing. Well, I will,
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: but you guys have to be ready to go if
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: something happens. Nothing's gonna you have to be ready to
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: go tomorrow if something happens. If I drink this probiotic
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: and I start melting here in my chair.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: Now, I'm going to be the first one out of
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: the door because I'm not going to be left with
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: that stench.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: It's not a stench. It's the next morning thing. It's
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: not going to make you twot or anything.
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: It's just going to make just like Wells had a
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: little accident though the first when you first started drinking
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: them and you weren't used to it. It wasn't because
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: you over indulged. It was because you didn't know it
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: was going to have that effect. Yeah, well, and then
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: you had a little you know, and then I liked it.
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: Your hants No, no, it's hands. You have a little
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: weird rumor to start.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: You have said it, I should not say it first
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: Hitler stuff. Now when did I bring up Hitler first segment?
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: God almighty, man, I forgot already. Yes, and you should
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: try definitely on ollipop and or pre whatever these one tomorrow.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Bring one tomorrow, and I bring the ice cream. Well,
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: we'll get it set up, right, deb I'm bringing two.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: I just saw. I think you would enjoy it. It's
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: a fun time. It makes everything together. You drink one
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: with me, deb, No, come on and do it and
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: then we can high five on the way to the bathroom. Yeah. No,
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: I think it's over exaggerated the effect it has on
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: all right. Well, yes, I'm not taking your h We
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: have long drives home, guys. I don't want any more
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: healthier things added to my lifestyle. I already have so many, guy,
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: at sixty four, and I'm not messing with it. There's
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: so many healthy choices everywhere. Man, you're gonna like it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: It's like eating a salad, but you drink it. I
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: did this something this morning, and I didn't realize how
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: it was gonna bother me because I was too lazy
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: to about my bedroom. Have you guys ever put on
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: two different socks. And when you put it on, like,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: I didn't want to walk back to my bedroom, and
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: I thought I had because when I put them together,
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: you put your socks together. Yes, So I put my
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: socks together. You will wait, you ball them yeah, bottom up? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: I don't ball them, ball them up. And and I
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: got my socks and I go and I sit down,
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: and I do the same thing every morning. I let
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: my dog out to go to the bathroom before I leave.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: And while my dog's doing his bath the doing her
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: bathroom stuff, I'll sit and put my socks on, and
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: I put the one sock on, and I put do
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: you guys do sock chee socked chew or sock sock
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: chew shoes sock sock shue shoes sock socks, shoes, shoe,
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: sock sock, shoe shoe. I'm socked shoe socked shoe. That's weird. Leave,
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: you know, like you're kind. So I put a sock
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: and a shoe out of here. With one shock shoe on,
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: I put a sock and a shoe on. And then
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: when I pulled the other sock out, I realize it's
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: not the same. Now it's the same brand of sock,
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: but it's not the same design on the sock. Put
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: the sock on, and man, for the first like forty
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: minutes of my driving the mount I couldn't stop thinking
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: about it, like it's nothing different, same thickness, same company,
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: same everything, different design, and it destroyed me for forty
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: minutes of my drive. Yeah. No, I've gotten over that
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: because it happens to me all the time because I
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: have two different sets of Puma socks. One has the
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Puma logo on it, the other one they say it
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: on it, and I looked at my feet and it's like,
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: wait a minute, let's don match, but everything else is
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: the same. I've gotten over that. I can't do different
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: style socks on my I couldn't do that either, Like
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: I couldn't put one of the thorough Good socks I
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: gave you guys on, and then a regular sock is
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: the ones like a quarter inch thick and the other
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: one is like a dress sock and you don't want
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: to you can't do that at thorough Good sock is
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: like someone hugging your Yeah, get just some more of those.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: You had to blow out, right, Yeah, it's wild. I've
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: never seen no, no, no, no, no. My blowout was
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: on the Jim Colbert Show. Sock Oh I see, yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: that's a good time.
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: With the history of this show in socks, don't use
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: the word blowout was Also, why are using the term
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: only one time? Yeah, like exactly, we're talking about the
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: blowout from the allie's self. So we're not going to
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: blow out in your feet. But when you got too
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: many blowouts, you guys.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: But when you get when you get a long toenail,
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: like your big toenail gets a little long, dude, it
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: can get in there and start sawing around a little bit.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: So that's your blowout. Your wife, I'm sure is well
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: aware of. Yeah. Oh I've already. Don't get me started
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: on that. It's not good. I've opened her up with
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: my big toenail before I started throwing away socks. Why
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: because they went convertible. Oh yeah, you got a hole
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: in them. Yeah, I throw them out immediately. But it's
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: hard to get through these third good socks because they're
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: so fricking thick. So that's what would cause Ross to
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: throw out a sock and nothing else, nothing else, Yeah, dude,
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: when all of a sudden, this little ghostly toe just
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: pops out of this little barrel hole.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: I hate it.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: It looks it's not good. And back in the day
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: you said that little Dennis Miller a bit right. Back
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: in the day, everybody did the same thing. When you
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: had a sock with a hole in it, You elongated
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: the sock, You tucked it under your toes, You grabbed
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: it with your toes, you stuck it in there, and
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: you open your toes. Brand new sock didn't work. It
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: does work now. Your foot would actually end up sliding
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: forward and then you.
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: Get a cramp in your toes from trying to hang
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: into that little bald.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Over area there exactly to keep it under there. Yeah,
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: did you guys ever go without socks as kids, like
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: during high school? Like a cool thing? You didn't wear socks? Man,
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: I did that with boat shoes for about three weeks.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: And then I remember leaving you in my car and
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: then opening my car door and it smelled like I'd
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: had a bunch of like ollipops. It was not good.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: I will not take this slander. You will take this lander.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: They're good drinks, They're going to be They're good for
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: your gut. You're gonna be amazed. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: gonna be like taking like a vitamin. All right, four
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: O seven nine one six one four one text us
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: at seven seven zero three one back in one second

- 1:16:35Speaker 2: at Jim Colbert's show on YouTube.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: Dude, after Mornie Colbert cabrew.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: All right, so I had to miss the beginning of
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the show.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: But did you guys talk about your karaoke performance?
- 1:16:47Speaker 13: Because I was just really hoping we could maybe see
- 1:16:49Speaker 13: somebody yo like the news Jim did.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Please please please?
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: But also beside that point, Jimmy, I was watching this
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: space documentary last night, and do you know why aliens
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: haven't visited our solar system yet? I don't.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Well, I mean they read their reviews only one star. Baby.
- 1:17:08Speaker 8: Yeah.

- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Radio FM. Slash Poker Welcome back on Jim Debs here,
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: Hello Jack, Yo and Ross as well. Through it. You
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: guys see the story. You guys remember the the three
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: guys that were killed by the guy. Uh it was
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: the Airbnb property and as a property next to it,
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: the guy went out. He was a schizophrenic and he
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: wounded up shooting and killing the three people that were there.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: They were here for like a was it an autoaction
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: auto auction?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: Exactly? Did you guys hear that the widow is suing
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: the homeowners Association?
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: I read that and I'm not seeing it. I don't either,
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Like I was gonna add. The reason I bring this
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: up is I'm at I was like wondering how you
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: guys thought it would wind up going. I mean, the
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: widow a man who killed while staying in a short
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: term vacation home and because simmey isssuing the homeowners association
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: that oversees the neighborhood. Douglas Craft, Robert Kraft, and a
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: guy named James Pouchin were staying at the home at
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: Indianpoint Subdivision back in January. The three men were in
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: town for the car auction Ahmud Bouget or Bojia was
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: indicted for murdering the case he left next door to
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: the rental property. What they're trying to say is is
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: that the homeowners association is responsible for warning the people
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: who are renting the house that this guy had prior
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: like bal health issues.
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: The homeowners association was aware that this individual had had
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: problems in the past, because the Sheriff's office was called
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: on numerous cas for disturbances for So they're saying, you
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: knew that this guy was a problem, was a problem.
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: You're a homeowners association.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: You have bylaws that.
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: Say what people can and cannot do. If you knew
- 1:19:12Speaker 5: this person was a threat, why were they allowed to
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: continue to stay here. I think they're also going after
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: the homeowner of the home where he was staying.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: I believe so as well. Yeah, the guy. The guy
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: was arrested in twenty twenty one on charges of just
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: shooting at a person and random cars at a gas
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: station parking lone because Simmi.
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: And he was able to get off that charge with
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: a insanity plea with an insanity plea, so they're expecting
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: or they're looking into where his mental health is for
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: this case.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Okay, So he was also barred from owning a gun
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: and that he was not supposed to have a weapon
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: at all. So my point like, how would the homeowners
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: association be able to how would they warn you? How
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: would that happen? Would they would they basically send you
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: a letter and say, hey, look the rental house that
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: you're renting. You need to know the guy next door
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: got busted shooting at people on twenty twenty one. You
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: may want to be careful on how you interact with
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: this guy. Is that is that what they do? Doesn't
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: that make them liable? Doesn't that almost bring them in
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: the into the fix? A homeowner association doesn't manage the
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: rentals of a property, you know, they they don't know
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: when people are coming and going. So I think they
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: also listed that they're saying they they didn't provide security
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: or a warning. Yeah, it's I think that that's up
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: to the individual home isn't it.
- 1:20:28Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: I think if that the tenant, what's the name, Big
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: b that the guy who shot the people, If if
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: they had the ability to have him, you know, removed
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: and or I don't even know if they can do that.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: What if they were buying the house. What if the
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: people in other words, what if the airbnb wasn't an airbnb.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: These three guys are coming down to look at the
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: house to purchase it, right, and they were going to
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: buy the house. Does the realtor have a responsibility to say, hey, look,
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: this is a real nice place, this is a nice neighborhood.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: What's you to know? Is this guy you're right, this
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: guy right here in twenty twenty one was just randomly
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: shooting at people in Kasimi. First of all, how would
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: you the realtor? You I wouldn't expect them to know that? Yeah?
- 1:21:11Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: But isn't that kind of the same thing, like a disclosure? Yeah? Warning? Yeah,
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: Because isn't that kind of the same thing. You're asking
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: the homeowners association to take responsibility for somebody else's actions
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: that they had nothing to do with. Yeah, as a
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: warning to somebody for something that could or could not happen, listen,
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: it's a tragedy. It's uh, it's it's the guy's sixty four.
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: I believe it was one of the guys, and then
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: his brother who is seventy, and then a lifelong family friend,
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: and you know, this guy was just getting set to retire.
- 1:21:41Speaker 5: Yeah, they were outside because they were having problems with
- 1:21:44Speaker 5: their rental car. Yeah, so they were outside inspecting the
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: car when he just randomly walked up and shot him.
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: My issue goes back to back to what is it,
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: twenty one, twenty twenty one, the first time he had this, Yes, yeah, okay,
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: I get he was. He was ruled in because of insanity. Insanity.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: Why do you just release him back into the streets
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: if he's proven that he doesn't have the mental capabilities
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: to be a functioning member of society. I'm not saying institutionalizing.
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: I don't know what the answer is, but putting him
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: back on the streets and assuming he's not going to
- 1:22:18Speaker 5: get another weapon, assuming he's not going to take these actions,
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: assuming he's taking medication.
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: I just think all of this, that's what happened. He
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: stopped taking it.
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: Yeah, well, all of this puts the onus back on
- 1:22:29Speaker 5: the community to try and figure out who. And I understand,
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: I believe it was in his case that he was
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: taking the medication, but then the funds that were helping
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: him afford it got cut. He could no longer take it,
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: and so he slid back into whatever mental condition he's
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: suffering from. But there has to be a better answer
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: than well, okay, you're you're insane. You didn't know what
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: you were doing is right or wrong. So good luck
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: to you, sir, and please don't own a gun.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: Yeah, because you can't sue the government for letting him go. No,
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: right there, they're I mean, they're they're immune to that.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: You can't like because that's the issue, right, that's right.
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: The guy was out on the street, he found a
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: gun and he started shooting randomly at people. Then had
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: to claim insanity to get out of that and was
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: released back into the community. Now, again, you're not supposed
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: to have a gun, but we all know in America,
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: if you want a gun, it's not that difficult to
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: find a gun, like, not at all. Actually I tripped
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: one along the way to work today.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: It's easier, and sad part, it's easier for him to
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: get his hands on a gun than it is for
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: him to get his hands on the medication that would
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: have kept him a functioning member of society.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: Ours now that that's true. But I have to tell you, Deborah,
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: having a little experience with this because my mom being
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: a clinical paranoid schizophrenic, and I've said this before, one
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: of the insidious natures of that is she took the
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: medication and she changed completely. She went back to the
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: mom we grew up with, and we told her that, like, Mom,
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: it's so nice to see you bright eyed, and how
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: do you feel? Oh, I feel great, And said to
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: the other what they wind up believing is is that
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: they're cured. So they stopped taking the medication, and then
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: my mom slipped right back into that world where she
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: was ten foiling her windows. Was I was gonna call
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: from cops because she was claiming that people were watching
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: her throw her TV and toaster.
- 1:24:04Speaker 10: It was.
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: It was a nightmare.
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: And I know with a lot of cases when it
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: comes to medications for mental health, that oftentimes is the
- 1:24:12Speaker 5: side effect, because a lot of mental health medications come
- 1:24:15Speaker 5: with their own set of side effects that are so
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: when you start to feel better, you can but someone
- 1:24:19Speaker 5: who's dealing with the depression. Depression issue isn't the same
- 1:24:23Speaker 5: kind of risk as someone who's already proven they're willing
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: to shoot randomly at strangers. And why is he walking
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: on your street?
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: And if there's nobody there to not force you, but
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: there's somebody there to go, hey, it's time for your meds.
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: Some kind of state sanctioned caretaker.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Here's your pill, here's your water, whatever, here's your meds.
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: Because they would do that if he was in jail.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: I mean like they would, they would, seriously, they would,
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: they would do it if he was in jail.
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: Like why can't we do like a probation meeting for
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: someone who has been maybe ruled incompetent due to insanity,
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: but still has to meet these certain benchmarks.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: But this was the first incident with the cars, what
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: four years ago? Five years ago, yeah, twenty twenty one.
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: So even if it wasn't patient thing at first, chances
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: are he probably would have been an outpatient, you know,
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: by then, and you know, you don't know what could
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: have been different. You know, maybe he would have been
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: on a different track in his life and gotten better care.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: But it's it's it's just sad, but it's hard to
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: put the blame on the homeowner's association.
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't see how they're gonna win that lawsuit.
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: And people are saying, well, the homeowner should have worn
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: It's like you're renting an Airbnb property, you know warning Oh,
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: by the way, the neighbor's crazy.
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: Yeah, you just don't rent the Airbnb.
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: You warn him that the ac can cook. You go, hey,
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: you know this thing may flip a breaker where you
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: warn them like, hey, don't go in the yard as
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: the dog poop's over there, or something like that about
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: the property and with the renning. But you're not gonna
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: you're not gonna give them heads up on the neighbors all.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: By the way, there's some swingers on the road. You
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: may want to avoid them. Yeah, I mean, here's this
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: guy named Big Dawn. Don't look into his eyes and
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: don't invite him over for beers. He's gonna be wearing
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: a trench coat. It's one of those rainproof ones. And
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: the other thing too, about the schizophor anything. As I
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: remember dealing with it with my mom, I was told
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: they're like, you know, schizophrenics can be two kinds of
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: different schizophrenics. It can be super harmful to themselves or
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: they can manifest that that kind of mania to other people.
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: Now I haven't heard exactly what he'd been diagnosed with.
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: I just know that he had been ruled in sanity
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: for several years ago, So I don't know.
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: I read schizophrenia you did, Oh yeah, yeah, that's Isn't
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: that ironic that there's two signs, two different kinds of schizophrenia.
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: There was actually probably I think even more than that.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: There probably are, But I just the ones I learned
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: about as I was dealing with my mom is because
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: my mom didn't have any threat to hurt anybody else
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: other than herself. So and then other people can do
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: it where they manifest it and they have schizophrenica. It
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: like that isn't rhiners No, was he schizophrenic?
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: I don't know?
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, four seven nine four one. You can
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: always text us at seven seven zero three to one
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: back of a second with more of the Jim Colbert Show.
- 1:26:59Speaker 20: I don't know if it will or not, even if
- 1:27:01Speaker 20: it makes a difference or not, but I think all
- 1:27:04Speaker 20: stuff going through Congress on the Senate should be non
- 1:27:08Speaker 20: partisans identified as in a blind vote, nobody knowing who
- 1:27:13Speaker 20: came up with the idea, whether it's the Democratic proposal
- 1:27:17Speaker 20: or a Republican proposal, just vote for the actual thing
- 1:27:21Speaker 20: and don't say whose side it was made by. That
- 1:27:24Speaker 20: might make it a little easier, but I know it's
- 1:27:26Speaker 20: never going to happen.
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: There's no money in that, buddy. Unfortunately, that's the problem.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: There's no money in governing like that. Four A seven
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: nine four one text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: Welcome back on Jim. There's deb Hello Jack Yo, and
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: saw Daddy as well. It's so true trivia coming up.
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Big prizes for trivia today. Also ross thoughts at the
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: top of the hour. It's gonna be a good one.
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: Gonna be a good one. Yeah, I love hearing that.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: So another kind of interesting story. I don't mean to
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: get heavy, but this is I find this stuff very fascinating.
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: Today on Channel six, and I think it was on
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: other channels as well, which would be click Orlando dot
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: com if you want to read it in its entirety.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: Is a very interesting issue. I was talking to my
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: wife about this this morning because I brought it up
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: and to ask her how she felt about this. And
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: there's a bill that went to Tallahassee. I want to
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: make sure I get the right bill. Here's I actually
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: didn't have a number at all here, But the bill
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: was meant to allow women who had dealt with domestic
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: violence to exit leases if they had er a lease
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: with someone who wound up abusing them. Hell yeah, right,
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: sounds like a great bill, right, this is this sounds
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: like something that would be a fast passed through Tallahassee.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: Obviously you're using my you know the language I'm using
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: LEGI you to believe that it did not make it through.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: It stalled in Tallahassee and did not become law. But
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: I do find this very interesting.
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: That's okay. Though, we got a road named after Charlie
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: Kirk and the airport thing, so they did a lot.
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: Yeah, this was a news viewer who could not break
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: her lease, even after showing a police report documenting the
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: abuse she suffered at the hands of her living partner.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Across Florida, survivors can face impossible choices, stay somewhere dangerous,
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: or walk away and absorb significant financial penalties. So basically,
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: let's say deb you and I are dating, and we
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: enter a lease together because we're so in love.
- 1:29:23Speaker 9: She just threw.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: We we rented apartment, and here we are, right, and
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: everything's going great for about six months, and then six
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: months down the road, I start kind of drinking and
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: getting a little handsy with you. Right sudden, too many
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: cores or breaking down doors. I give you the old apology.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: Can't believe I did that. I was drunk. It never
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: happened again. And then like three weeks later, of course
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: it happens again. So now we have a history of
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: domestic violence. You go to the cops, you show them
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: the bruises, gets arrested, you know, maybe bonds out, whatever
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: the case may be. And when that person bonds out,
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: they have the right to come back to that house.
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: You can't keep them out of that house because you're
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: there is on the leaks, just like yours. If you
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: leave that house to protect yourself, you are still responsible
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: for that for that lease. Part of that lease. Uh
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: the bill in Tallahassee. He wanted to make it so
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: if the woman could prove or the person I shouldn't
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: say a woman, it's not always a woman, but the
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: woman could prove, the victim could prove right, the victim,
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: you're right, the victim could prove that they were there
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: was domestic violence. This bill would allow them to go
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: to the homeowners association or the rental leasing company and say, hey, look,
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: here's the police report. I want out of this, and
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: that would be twice penalty for the person. So not
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: only would they deal with the criminal aspect of it,
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: now they would have to shoulder the uh, the responsibility
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: of paying for the entire lease, which would be another
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: penalty for their actions. And it did not pass in Tallahassee.
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: Now I'll ask somewhat of a dumb question. Was this
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: bill part of like one of those big bills that
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: is signed up for a bunch of other things that
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: have nothing included with this topic. Because I'm with you,
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: this is a case closed. This is so easy to
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: say yes to, So why wouldn't we? Yeah, it doesn't
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: say that. That's here that a separate survival who A
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: News six did not identify. She was pregnant when this happened.
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: She said the final straw was when he slapped me
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: in my face and said, she said, I can't do
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: this anymore. No money, no plan. She made a decision
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: to just go anyway. I had no money, no nothing,
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: just hop on the bus and pray that the bus
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: driver didn't really ask her for a ticket or anything,
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: just to get away, and it said the gap in
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: the law here is a lot of people believe a
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: lot of people don't think about this one in particular,
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: that if you're sharing a lease with someone who is
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: abusing you, how do you get out of it? And
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: that's the CEO of Harbor House here in Orlando, And
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: of course they deal with that specifically and said the bill.
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: They're introducing a bill to close the gap. The legislation
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: would give survivors the right to break their lease early
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: without financial penalty, requiring landlords to change the locks within
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: a set frame time and hold the abuser if also
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: in the lease, responsible for the remainder of the lease, which.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: Is the way it should have been set up in
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: the first place.
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: The bill never even got a hearing. Not surprised, so
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: there wasn't a huge appetite for that this session.
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: Oh you know why, because it's an election year and
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: this is not a topic that people are talking about.
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: It's not rage bait, it's it's not. But it's also
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: something where you can champion and said you did something. Well,
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: unless they get a lot of money from another group
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: that it would hurt or it's also like some advisor
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: in someone's camp going like, yeah, it's just not polling. Well,
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: it's not worth championing. And unfortunately that's exactly what it
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: sounds like in the ver right, Yeah, that's exactly what.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: It doesn't look good on paper, it doesn't. This is
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: not tracking. Well, you know, we only got one protect
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: protecting victims of domestic violence. I'm not saying first the
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: hitler thing, then the poop in your pants, and now
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: this it says, and it's unfortunate. There were other priorities
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: from the committee chairs that said, what Florida did pass
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: is several protections for domestic by the domestic violent survivors
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: this session, including stiffer penalties for repeat abusers, shielding victims
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: personal information from public records, requiring nurses to be trained
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: to recognize human trafficking. That doesn't really help the woman
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: who's getting her as kick while she's pregnant now in
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: a combined lease that could cost her one thousand dollars
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: a month that she'll be stuck with for two years,
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: or should out the file bankruptcy. I remember when I
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: got robbed and we broke essentially our lease. When my
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: house got broken into, and everything was gone except for
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: the wheeze. Shout out to thieves not liking motion gaming
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: forever and always will appreciate them leaving the Nintendo wheeze.
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: But we left that home. And then she was like,
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: what about the lease, and we were like, no, come on,
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: come on. We basically just hit her with the come on,
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: you just got robbed. Everything's gone, and then they're like,
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: I understand, dude. My daughter was when she first moved out,
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: one of my daughters. When she first moved out of
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: the house, she actually moved in with another family member
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: who was a young man and uh, and the dude
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: lost his mind and was a complete douchebag and it
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: still is a complete douchebag locked her out of her
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: own apartment, wouldn't give her the keys back. She went
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: to the leasing apartment leasing office and said, look, this
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: guy's a maniac. He locked me out of my own apartment.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: Blah blah blah blah blah, I want to get out
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: of this lease or like, no blanking chance you're getting
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: out of that lease. Not a chance you're paying that money.
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: She actually had to pay to get out of the lease.
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: She paid the entire She paid the balance of her
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: staying there to the guy so that she could get
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: out of the leasea not be in the house with
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: him because she was terrified. And by the way, he
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: was also apparently getting aggressive with his girlfriend that lived
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: with him as well. Hey, I'm so happy I don't
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: have a single dude friend that's ever laid a fair
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: none of those people. I am so happy. I have
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: never been around those topics or conversations. What a best
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: stodded though thing to do. Yeah, So, I'd heard the
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: opinion that that they didn't believe that this should have
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: gone through because there's a possibility that some people lie
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: about this or would lie about it to get out
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: of a lease. They didn't want to be with somebody anymore,
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: Like maybe they just want to break up with somebody,
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: so rather than just break up and be responsible for
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: the least, they would make things up.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: It sounds like a smokescreen, because that sounds pretty impossible
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: to do if it's going to require things like a
- 1:35:22Speaker 5: police report. Yeah, that's a hospital report, some kind of
- 1:35:25Speaker 5: official documentation that this is not just something that you know,
- 1:35:29Speaker 5: you're mad at your ex boyfriend or your ex girlfriend,
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: and I.
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: Think that's that That is the that is the separator there,
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: because I believe even to get a cop to do that,
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: you have to claim there's a bruise or there has
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: to be a mark. Right.
- 1:35:40Speaker 5: I don't know about that part. But in order to
- 1:35:42Speaker 5: do something as official as break a lease, because that
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: that now you're including this apartment or condo entity. So
- 1:35:49Speaker 5: now you're adding another victim into this, which may require
- 1:35:53Speaker 5: different documentation in order for them to accept the decision
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: that they get to break the lease.
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: Why it would be shifting the finance responsibility of the
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: least completely to the other person, the other party. Yes,
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: in this case the abuser or accused abuse her, if
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: they hadn't been adjudicated guilty, is it okay to penalize them.
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: That's the point. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's the point. Because
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: here's the thing. A police report. God man, it's hard
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: to explain because I don't know what what it. I
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: don't know what it takes to get arrested for that.
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: Like if you know it, Like again, we'll go back
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: a lot, like if you call, you say, hey, this guy,
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: you know, this guy put his hands on me. He
- 1:36:29Speaker 3: tried to choke me out, and he grabbed me by
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: the arms and tried to restrain me when I tried
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: to leave. Right, that's your story, we don't have video
- 1:36:36Speaker 3: of it. His story is she came at me because
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: she was getting so aggressive. I just grabbed her to
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: keep her from punching me in the face. How about
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: a cop differentiate those two stories. You have marks in
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: your arms, but your story had been his story is
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: as valid as yours.
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: I mean, how do you do that? I mean, how
- 1:36:53Speaker 3: do you get a police report that says that that's right?
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: And by the way, the person probably is the one
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: that got restrained trying to leave, But you can't prove that.
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: Well interestingly enough if you would think it would be
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: easy to do this considering someone texted us at seven
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: seven zero three one when I worked as an apartment
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: leasing a guy claimed he had a ghost in his
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: apartment and actually got out of his lease, hired an
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: exorcist and everything.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: Wow, what in the leasing agent believe in Santa Ria?
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: I don't know, but to somebody also texted that big
- 1:37:26Speaker 5: lending wouldn't want to make it easier for anyone to
- 1:37:29Speaker 5: get out of a contract, So I would look at
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: like developers of apartment buildings or condos who could significantly
- 1:37:38Speaker 5: lose a lot of money, because that's what this all
- 1:37:40Speaker 5: boils down to. So look to who would be losing
- 1:37:44Speaker 5: the most money, to see where the influence pedaling is
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: coming from.
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: Right, right, right. And I had another you know, I've
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: heard of another lease being broken and the apartment complex
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: did allow the person to it was pro rated. In
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: other words, the people moved out of the apartment because
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: of a situation and there was still time left on
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: the lease, and they only charged them until they released
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: the apartment. I've heard, I've heard of that happening in
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: a special situation. Uh, but I haven't heard anything like
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: this before. Dude, my root my apartment drama goes deep.
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: I was living with someone who then got a job
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: in the front office of the apartment complex, which is
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: supposed to be like a no no, long story short.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: She got a job there and then stopped paying rent.
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: So then they had to backstab one of their own
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: and call up me, Daddy Ross to be like, we
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: have something to tell you. She hasn't been paying rent.
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: I'm like to who herself she works there? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: So long story short, I cried and I had to cover,
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: Like you had to leave? Yeah, no, no, she left
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: because I was like, you gotta get on get right
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: around paying rent. And then I still had to cover it.
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: But I just couldn't believe that she got hired by
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: the apartment complex and then stiffed the apartment complex. Yeah,
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: that's crazy. Somebody does that. But she thought it should
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: be a job perk. Yeah, but that but that happens sometimes,
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: does it not. I mean, you get a job there,
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: like we know people who who maintained them do that
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: for a little bit of money, but it's also free
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: rents part of that, or you know, living a discount. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: I was partying in the guardhouse and stuff. It was
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: pretty ratchet. I was not on the good side of
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: that apartment couch. So how many apartments have you lived in?
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: God knows how many, Jim, is it a lot? A dozen? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: like a dozen. I've lived in two apartments my entire life.
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: When I moved out the very first time, I moved
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: into apartment, and then when I got divorced, I moved
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: into a into an apartment. I haven't lived in an
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: apartment outside. Oh, how sad was that? Divorced apartment. That
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: was pretty bad. Yeah, I could smell that a mile away.
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah when you walked in there, just like the
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: Hodgepodge of borrowed furniture. Because I didn't have anything. I
- 1:39:53Speaker 3: gave everything away. I had literally nothing. I had a
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: borrowed TV, a borrowed couch. Bed was on the on
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: the ground like everybody is when you when you go
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: through something like that. Dead ass broke. Yeah, it was crazy.
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: I've lived in a lot of apartments, and uh, this
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: is kind of essentially the first home and house I've
- 1:40:11Speaker 3: ever lived in. Apartment three, You lived in three? Well
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: one was a rented house. Yeah, but we were running it. Yeah,
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: I had a room in there. Yeah, but you didn't
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: have any But I'm talking about an apartment complex. I
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: had one apartment complex apartment yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: was your experience. Good with the facility, Yes, not a problem. Actually,
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: both of mine were fine. I had I've never had
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: a neighbor problem. Both of the complexes I lived in
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: were actually pretty nice, and they weren't really bougie at all.
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: Like I said, I couldn't afford it. Uh, it wasn't
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: It wasn't bougie. But actually it wasn't terrible. You know,
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: I was born in the community pool. Yeah, show tight up.
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: I think that's what matters an apartment, right I think
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: your entire kind of experience is based on your neighbors,
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: is it not. Have you ever lived in one?
- 1:41:00Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:41:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I've lived in that. I think four?
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: Four?
- 1:41:03Speaker 10: Yep four?
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: What do you think the average is? Jack? Let's make
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: that the question of today, like I went, how many people?
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: What do you think the average for people who have
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: lived and that have lived out there have lived in apartments?
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: Do you think most of our audience at one point
- 1:41:15Speaker 3: has lived in an apartment? Yes? I think so as well.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: I think a lot of them are living in apartments
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: right now. I think it would be really rare to
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: find somebody in this state. I don't know that it
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: matters to the statement that it has not at one
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: point adult, by the way, not as a kid, because
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: you didn't have a choice at that point, as an
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: adult lived in an apartment. I think I'll post a
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: new question, but the one I had put up. You
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: can will end it right now and you can guess
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: the answer here. Have you ever lived in have you
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: ever used in the Airbnb or Verbo. How many people
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: in YouTube chat do you think have used sixty sixty? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:41:51Speaker 5: I do think the state matters because this is such
- 1:41:53Speaker 5: a transient state. Like I never lived in an apartment
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: outside of being a child that I don't remember up
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: in Wisconsin. But when you first move here and you're,
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: you know, looking to establish housing, it's so much easier
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: to figure out what neighborhood to live in, and you know,
- 1:42:07Speaker 5: by starting with an apartment.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: I lived in a duplex for a short period of
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: time in my hometown, but it was just really just
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: a short period of time. But man, the apartment complexes
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: I've been in that they were actually the pretty good experiences.
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: What wasn't terrible and the rent was kind of a
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: kind of okay, I'll never forget the heffel fingers. Man
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: was that? And that was my next apartment neighbor. It
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: was Melinda and Earl hethelo finger Yeah, how neighbor is
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: wild bunch of a name. And I remember when Earl died. Dude,
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: that was that was a banger man. Why is that good?
- 1:42:39Speaker 16: No?
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: No, it was just like a it was a heavy morning.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I bet it was. It was my first
- 1:42:43Speaker 3: instance with death. Shout out to Misty Pine Circle. There
- 1:42:46Speaker 3: you go, all right, shout out Missy By Yeah yeah, dude.
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: Apartment complexes when you're born and raised, they're basically like
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: people are like, how old are you? I'm like, I
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: don't work in nine or ten years old. I work
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: in Misty Pine Circle and Triumph Way. And they all
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: have their own cultures, right, yeah, these things all have
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: their own cultures. Like I've the apartment complex I lived
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: in after my divorce. I was not the only divorced dad. Yes,
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: you go to that community pool on Saturday, and it
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: was dudes and two kids, dudes and two kids, dudes
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: and the kid. Dudes and two kids. It was That's
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: what it was. It was like divorce Dad Central. It
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: was terrible. I walk into the pool, sad af Oh,
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: here we go, divorce deadpool. Well, you're gonna make some friends, kids,
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: it's all's here, his future friends, future friends. All right,

- 1:44:46Speaker 3: How are you glad to hear that Trays wanna play
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: a little game with us? Yes, sir, let's do it
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: show all right, Tracy, this is a real easy game.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: Got a question here for you. Four answers. One of
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: these answers is not true, but if you can find it,
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: I'll send you over to the Jackie Sack and you
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: can find something nice for yourself. Are you ready?
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: Ready?
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: Here we go. On this day in nineteen eighty seven.
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: Widely considered to be the greatest soccer player of all time,
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: Lionel Messi was born on this day. Oh wow, that's right. Here.
- 1:45:15Speaker 3: Three fun facts about Messi and one go of a lie.
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: Not bad? All right, here we go. We're talking about
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: Lionel Messi. Here, which one of these is not true?
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: Number one Messi has the most liked Instagram post ever.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: His twenty twenty two post holding the World Cup trophy
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: has seventy five million likes. Number two Messi's nickname is
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: a kid was Lapurga, which translates to the flea. Number three.
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: Messi was named after his mother's favorite singer, American artist
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: Lionel ritchie Or. Lastly, he met his wife when they
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: were just twelve years old. She is the cousin of
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: his childhood best friend. Which of those is a lie?
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: Number gotta go? Come on number three? No, unfortunately, that's
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: absolutely true. That's sorry, I mean when zo? Yeah, absolutely true.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: His mom's favorite artist is Lionel Richie and that's where
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: he got the name Lionel or whatever the case may be.
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: There you go, it spelled the same. Yeah, thank you, one, two,
- 1:46:20Speaker 3: four or five four. He appreciates it. Ross Luke, how
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: you doing, stupid name? I'm doing great. Everyone, good buddy,
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: we're talking about Lionel Messi. Which one of these is untrue?
- 1:46:32Speaker 3: Number one? Messi has the most like Instagram post ever
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: in twenty twenty two, his post holding the World Cup
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: trophy as seventy five million likes. Number two. Messi's nickname
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: is a kid was Lapouga, which translates to the flea or. Lastly,
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: Messi met his wife when they were just twelve years old.
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: She's the cousin of his childhood best friend. Let's go on.
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: Number three. That's the one, buddy, extra bonus points. That
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: doesn't mean anything. Do you have any idea how old
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: they were when they first met?
- 1:47:03Speaker 12: Actually, let's say nineteen.
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: Okay, that is not right. Ross, you have any idea
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: on this one? No, five years old younger. They were
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: five years old when they met the first time. Oh wow.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: She was the cousin of his childhood best friends. So
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: when they played together and she was over, that's how
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: they met. So they've literally known each other since they
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: were five. Oh man, how cool is that?
- 1:47:26Speaker 8: Right?
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: Messi does have the most light Instagram post ever, seventy
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: five million likes on his twenty twenty is it twenty
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: twenty two? Twenty Yeah? Yeah, twenty twenty two post holding
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: the World Cup trophy. His nickname as a kid was
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: the Flea because although he was small, he was the
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: fastest person on the field by a billion. He actually
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: had had a growth hormone problem yeah, when he was young,
- 1:47:46Speaker 3: and it was Barcelona paid the fee for the medications
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: to stop that because the family couldn't afford it was
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: like nine hundred bucks a month. Yeah. So that's also
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: part of the grab your tinfoil hats part of the
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: controversy and conspiras with Lionel Messz like that gave him
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: some extra That's what a lot of people think because
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: no one has ever seen a player like this before, right, right,
- 1:48:08Speaker 3: And it was literally a soccer team giving him growth
- 1:48:10Speaker 3: hormone when he was a child. And it's not that
- 1:48:13Speaker 3: easy to get far fetched. I don't believe in it. Yeah.
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: A couple other things you may not know about a
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: Lionel Messi before we get to the top of the hour.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: He shares a birth month and hometown with Argentinian revolutionary
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: chego O Evera. Oh wow. Yeah. Messi's first professional contract
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: for both Barcelona was assigned it how old Deborah.
- 1:48:32Speaker 5: Sixteen twelve.
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: Thirteen years old on a restaurant napkin that napkin later
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: sold for one million dollars.
- 1:48:41Speaker 15: Wow.
- 1:48:42Speaker 3: He was named We got that one there and then.
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: Messi is the only male soccer player in history to
- 1:48:48Speaker 3: win the FIFA Golden Ball, which is the World Cup's
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: Best Player twice. Nobody else has ever done that. He's
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: also the only player I think has ever won Best
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Player on the Planet eight times. The blown to your
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: I'm a huge soccer fan. He is the greatest of
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: all time, and I'm here to say I still don't
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: like him. But the craziest set that I know, I
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: have to say this Jim in the twenty eleven twenty
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: twelve season, which is looked as the greatest single calendar
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: year from a soccer player ever. He had sixty appearances,
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: seventy three goals, thirty assists. Wow, Yeah, that's crazy because
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: that's no one's ever done that, not even close. The
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: only other thing I know is, like I know, Ronaldo
- 1:49:28Speaker 3: is set the record for he just scored in the
- 1:49:31Speaker 3: most World Cup. Yeah, he's played five or six World
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: c He's the only person ever do that in the
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: history of the game. Cool and MESSI was the youngest
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: and oldest player to score, right exactly. And he's already
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: got five goals in the two games, and he's the
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: leading goal scorer in the tournament's history. It's not even close.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: Anybody who argues Ronaldo is they're they're smoking something. And
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: he's doing this at the end of his career, right,
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: not even that, like not even nine.
- 1:49:56Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: Well, I am here to say we're gonna keep the
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: soccer train going a little bit. But don't touch the dial.
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: You don't need to understand off sites. You just have
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: to love seeing Jim struggle. Because what's one of the
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: greatest traditions that is in the world of soccer is
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: the names of soccer players. Yes, people practice, they study.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: I just recently announced to England starting eleven in front
- 1:50:19Speaker 3: of the England fan base when they were here in
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: Inter and Co Stadium. I'm here to tell you it
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: gets a little nerve racking. Well, today we're gonna put
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: you guys to the test. You will be reading out
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: some starting elevens of this year's World Cup. I love it, right,
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: we'll do that next.
- 1:50:40Speaker 9: Well, Jackie might as well be tental in that overtime
- 1:50:42Speaker 9: for the act that's gonna be happening a lot this second.
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: I do not like that non vote of confidence, sir.
- 1:50:56Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Jim Kolbert Show. We're already one
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: or four point one. Jim, there's Devin Jack Hi man.
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: Ross's speaking of ROSSI got some thoughts. Let's find out
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: what they are.
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: It's weird. Oh yeah, it's funny.
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: World Cup Edition.
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: Sometimes it's Ross spelled like sad.
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: That's me. It's Ross thoughts. And this is Ross thoughts.
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: And today's Ross Thoughts brought to you by a legend,
- 1:51:23Speaker 3: a saint, a an amazing man. We like to call
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: him that mortgage guy Don. That's right, that mortgage guy
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: Don dot com. He has his own show right here
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: on your favorite radio station every Saturday morning. Check him
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: out that mortgage guy Don dot com. If you have
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: any questions when it comes to a reverse mortgage refin
- 1:51:42Speaker 3: anything of the sort, well go local hit up that
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: mortgage guy Don. Now, with that said, my eyes are
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: burning because I have never consumed so much of one
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: thing in a row. No show, no anything has grabbed
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: my attention like this year's World Cup. It's here in
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: our country. And you know what's really cool, because I've
- 1:52:06Speaker 3: been following this damn sport that has driven me absolutely
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: insane and good ways and bad ways now for twenty years,
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: and to see it make the most sense to my
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: fellow American has been an absolute delight. I for the
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: longest time, I got tired of explaining off sides to people,
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: and now here I am going like, brother, I'll hold
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: your hand right, I'll tell you, let's sit down, let's
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: let's talk about it. Cherry picking and soccer and here's
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: how they enforce that rule. And next thing, I know,
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: my love for soccer and my love for entertainment, the
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: streams crossed. Now I work over for Orlandos City and
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: I was recently asked to work for England's last tune
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: up before the World Cup, the fourth best team on
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: the planet. They're's starting to leven standing right in front
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: of me. Cool. The people who work for the FAY
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: go ahead and say, yeah, we'll have the announcer say
- 1:53:02Speaker 3: the name the names of the starting eleven that is
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: selected from the head coach of England. I was not
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: expecting it to be me. It was one of the
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: coolest and most nerve wracking things I've ever done in
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: my life. I can imagine because there's twenty thousand plus
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: England fans I'm reading there starting eleven and they're finding
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: out who they're going to see take the pitch in
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: just a few minutes. And those people know the pronunciations
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: of those names perfectly. And I'm here to tell you
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: I practiced. Nony Madawac, Nony meadowak ke non madawak he
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: plays for England. He plays for England. He's ezy Jack.
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: It's it's citizenship there, Nony Madaway. I kept practicing. He
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: plays for Arsenal. So I figure would be really really fun.
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: Is that if you guys kind of had a small
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: experience of that yourself reading the starting eleven of a
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: World Cup team, you know, without the practice, without the
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: practice that Ross had. Yeah yeah, but oh you know
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: it's fine. We'll make it easy. Jack. Yes, I do
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: you have the men's national team USA? USA?
- 1:54:13Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: Yeah, just like try to say the names correctly, got it?
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: Jack gets dudes from this country. Yeah, it's round one.
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: Jim came down. Yeah, there's there's some uh, you know,
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: curveballs in there, are there? Yeah?
- 1:54:27Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: Well John Smith? How about how about keeper Matt Freeze?
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's a tough one. Yeah. How about this
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: Anthony Robinson. Many people want to say Anthony, but no,
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: it's Antony.
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: Tim Reim, Tim Reim, not Sar. He's our captain. He
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: might be both, Yeah, he might be both. Chris Richards,
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: Chris Richards, these are tough, man. How about this one?
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: How are you making it through?
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: This?
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: Son of Antonio Freeman from Orlando, Former Orlando City Lion,
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: Alex Freeman. Very nigh phenomenal, Alex Freeman. Jack's got it.
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: Jack's got it. He's got that with these American names.
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: Deb I sent you a starting eleven of the Columbian players. Yeah,
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: that makes perfect sense.
- 1:55:14Speaker 5: So our keeper Camillo Vargas, Daniel Munos, Davidson Sanchez, John Lucumi,
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: Johann Mujica, Midfielders Jefferson Lerma, Richard Rios, Joan Arias, Jimmis Rodriguez.
- 1:55:30Speaker 3: She's from there.
- 1:55:31Speaker 5: Center forward Luis Suarez, Luis Diaz, which is for.
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: Other soccer fans listening, it's weird that there are two
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: Lewis Suarez's. We are Lewis Suarezi here in this sport,
- 1:55:44Speaker 3: and it's odd. So she nailed that and.
- 1:55:46Speaker 5: Jim Columbia one last night.
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: I figured, you know, because right now my best friend
- 1:55:54Speaker 3: Joel Warren, who's been on the show, a friend of
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: the show, is actually at this game. Hey, versus Morocco,
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: and I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, I'm gonna
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: choose Haiti and I have a bunch of hard names. No,
- 1:56:08Speaker 3: I'm not having you read Haitian names. I understand what
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: my guy can and cannot do. But because the game
- 1:56:16Speaker 3: is tonight, Morocco starting eleven, I sent those to you.
- 1:56:20Speaker 3: Give it to me. Are you serious? Morocco names starting eleven,
- 1:56:28Speaker 3: as announced by Jim Colbert from Palatka, Florida. Ya see me,
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: bounow I didn't see you.
- 1:56:37Speaker 5: Oh that's the name.
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: Sorry our craft, Hakimi, I'm doing you clean it up,
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: Chatty read Well, that's rude.
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: This one.
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: Redwa how how an ass hey Solo, ad Ismail say,
- 1:57:06Speaker 3: Barbary blow Canoes. There's an age in that. It's all right,
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: it's fine, you know, I don't I thought maybe the
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: Moroccan teams would have been easier than the Asian team.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: But that's fine. Oh yeah, I can see where you
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: can see that. But every one of these names looks
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: like a word jumble Jacks. Go ahead, Jack, you have
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: another starting eleven. I do. I have one of the
- 1:57:38Speaker 3: most beloved national teams that have come over from the pond. Oh,
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: I can only imagine.
- 1:57:42Speaker 8: What is this?
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: Canada? No funny ha ha Scotland. So yeah, give me
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: some Scottish player in paper Angus Gunn, defenders Nathan Patterson,
- 1:57:52Speaker 3: Scott McKenna, Jack Henry, Andy Robertson, midfielder Ben Gannon Dope,
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: Kenny McLain, Lewis Fergus said, John McGinn and Scott Vimine.
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: There is no way that's a that's a that's a
- 1:58:05Speaker 3: minor league baseball team from Mississippi. Deb I believe I
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: sent you the starting eleven for another Spanish team. One
- 1:58:11Speaker 3: of our great friends, mutual friends are the cleaning guy here.
- 1:58:14Speaker 3: He loves this starting eleven of Ecuador. They're from there,
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: Yeah they are. And when one of their players got
- 1:58:22Speaker 3: pants on the pitch, didn't he ya? I believe so yeah,
- 1:58:25Speaker 3: he ended up with his ass hanging out in front
- 1:58:27Speaker 3: of everybody. Ah, yes, ernand Galindez, Alan, Franco, William Pacco, Piero, Hennacapi,
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: Jordi Alcivar, Joan Yeboa, Moyses Casero, Pedro, Vite perves Estupinian,
- 1:58:41Speaker 3: Gonzale Plata in Valencia. That right on the money. She
- 1:58:49Speaker 3: speaks Spanish.
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: Not really that good though.
- 1:58:52Speaker 3: Now Jim very well is a team that wins over
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: the fiful World Cup tournament every four years. Every time.
- 1:59:00Speaker 3: It makes news. Every time. People go ahead and fall
- 1:59:04Speaker 3: in love with the Asian countries. I sent you the
- 1:59:10Speaker 3: starting a little use the buttons. I sent the starting
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: eleven of South Korea, and I was wondering, you know what, No,
- 1:59:22Speaker 3: let's just go. Let's go Japan. They clean up after
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: the after every single Yeah, we'll go with Japan. You
- 1:59:32Speaker 3: got this, You grab the microphone Japan, starting eleven, Jim
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: Colbert from Palatka, Florida, Zion, Suzugi, Taka Hero, Tama, Yasu,
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: ko it Ta, Kura, hirokei Ito oh Man Yaka, Nara
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: Suga you go, Nakatomo, No.
- 2:00:06Speaker 5: You go nakatomo.
- 2:00:08Speaker 3: No excuse me, it's Uto, Nakatomo, nagatomo stand English. This
- 2:00:16Speaker 3: first name is just an a and an O. I'm
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: gonna go owl Tanaka, but usually it's Wataruru Induunu. No way,
- 2:00:29Speaker 3: that one's right, Wataru and Takafuso Kubo and their last
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: starting striker. Well there's another one. There's the last two
- 2:00:42Speaker 3: star strikers, Ritsu doan and i Assi you Aida. So
- 2:00:49Speaker 3: if that guy was name was called in school would
- 2:00:51Speaker 3: be i ad a u ass, it would be i
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: Ada u Assi. There are so many cultures happening here
- 2:01:01Speaker 3: in our great country. It is, honestly, if you were
- 2:01:04Speaker 3: looking for more reasons to love the US of A
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: is seeing how all of these international teams are finding
- 2:01:11Speaker 3: out that there are a lot more Columbians here in
- 2:01:14Speaker 3: the States than they thought. That there are a lot
- 2:01:16Speaker 3: more Haitians here in the States than these teams thought,
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: and when they go out to these games and then
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: they see their fans, it makes you kind of love
- 2:01:25Speaker 3: just the sport and more importantly, this country a little
- 2:01:28Speaker 3: bit more from my perspective. God almighty, dude, I just
- 2:01:32Speaker 3: think you that they got Canada and yeah, got basically
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: Canada and the US, and then deb got two languages
- 2:01:41Speaker 3: that's in her name, and you gave me Asia and Morocco. Okay,
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: I give you. If I read those backwards, it would
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: have sounded the same. It was a blind draw.
- 2:01:50Speaker 8: It was.
- 2:01:51Speaker 3: It was not a blind draw. You're lying.
- 2:01:53Speaker 5: Somebody did Texas though, and said that the sound of
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: you pronouncing those names just opened the gates of hell
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: and some in twelve demons into my living room.
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: Those are your thoughts. I'm sorry about the demon. You're
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: not sorry about anything, dude. Today brought to you by
- 2:02:07Speaker 3: that mortgage guy Don. That mortgage guy done dot com.
- 2:02:10Speaker 3: I'm out, Pete. What can I just get a don?
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: That'd be great? Like a down would be great?
- 2:02:17Speaker 9: You know, d o N.
- 2:02:18Speaker 3: I gotta get anything. I gotta get him out. Mark
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: that or a gun name? I asked, u Ada because
- 2:02:27Speaker 3: this next guy's name is just two letters. A oh,
- 2:02:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna call him a.
- 2:02:35Speaker 9: It like that.
- 2:02:36Speaker 3: It should be on the table of elements.
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: All right.
- 2:02:39Speaker 3: Back in a second, she had coming at me like
- 2:02:42Speaker 3: a knife, and I called the cops.
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: She went to jail.
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: Anyways, we were both on the lease, but she was
- 2:02:48Speaker 3: not allowed back into the house until she went to court,
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: which that took like five six months.
- 2:02:53Speaker 18: So you know they're on the lease, doesn't mean they're
- 2:02:55Speaker 18: allowed back into the the place, especially if it's like
- 2:02:58Speaker 18: a violent crime.
- 2:03:00Speaker 3: Always love to show guy Anyboddy, So crazy apartment store.
- 2:03:04Speaker 14: I come home, there is a phone cooking in the apartment.
- 2:03:07Speaker 12: I asked my roommate.
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: He said, he burned a pot of beans.
- 2:03:10Speaker 14: The day later, I go down to the main office
- 2:03:12Speaker 14: and she was like, wow, crazy night last night, huh?
- 2:03:14Speaker 3: And I was like, why what do you mean. She's like, oh,
- 2:03:16Speaker 3: with the fire department. I'm like, what what a fire department.
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: She's like, your roommate left the pot of beans on
- 2:03:20Speaker 3: the stove, left the apartment.
- 2:03:21Speaker 14: The fire department had to come and knock the door down.
- 2:03:24Speaker 3: You're thank God for your neighbor.
- 2:03:25Speaker 14: He called to Dine one one when he saw the
- 2:03:27Speaker 14: smoke coming out of your door.
- 2:03:31Speaker 8: I mean, I think it's really quite this simple. If
- 2:03:35Speaker 8: you are able to prove to your landlord that you're
- 2:03:38Speaker 8: an abusive relationship. I don't think the landlord is going to.
- 2:03:41Speaker 3: Take you to court for whatever rent is due.
- 2:03:46Speaker 8: Obviously that's just a feeling, that's not anything legal bound,
- 2:03:51Speaker 8: but uh, that's what I feel like. I feel like
- 2:03:54Speaker 8: it would be worth more convincing the landlord than it
- 2:03:57Speaker 8: would be even the police about this plight.
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show. We're all Radio
- 2:04:03Speaker 3: one O four point one time. Jim, there's Deb Hello,
- 2:04:05Speaker 3: Hi Ross. It's true. Yeah, if we get the talkbacks,
- 2:04:08Speaker 3: there were two segments ago we were talking about apartments
- 2:04:10Speaker 3: and stuff. If you ever want to kind of catch
- 2:04:12Speaker 3: up on where we're doing, you can always listen to
- 2:04:13Speaker 3: the podcast Jim Corper Live dot com.
- 2:04:16Speaker 11: Uh.
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: The one thing that is really cool about the World
- 2:04:18Speaker 3: Cup is, here's what I was wondering before the show.
- 2:04:20Speaker 3: I was talking to Deb about this a little bit.
- 2:04:22Speaker 3: Do you believe that when the World the World Cup
- 2:04:25Speaker 3: being here and Americans coming in contact with people from
- 2:04:29Speaker 3: different countries, that that will spur tourism to those countries.
- 2:04:33Speaker 3: And the reason I asked that is this, I mean,
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: the scott this team, this, these supporters from Scotland are
- 2:04:39Speaker 3: like these guys came in like rock stars. These guys
- 2:04:42Speaker 3: are making like a name for themselves across the US,
- 2:04:45Speaker 3: drinking Boston out of beer. Now they're gonna go to
- 2:04:47Speaker 3: Miami and God only knows what's gonna happen down there
- 2:04:49Speaker 3: with them today. But yeah, but they're becoming like a
- 2:04:52Speaker 3: beloved group of people. They're getting a lot of media
- 2:04:54Speaker 3: coverage along with the team from Norway. Uh, They're their
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: supporters are doing that Viking thing. Ben, I think that
- 2:05:01Speaker 3: there are a lot of people who are watching this
- 2:05:02Speaker 3: are going to go, wow, man, those people seem very
- 2:05:05Speaker 3: very cool. I want to go to that country because
- 2:05:07Speaker 3: those people seem so cool. I bet that's gonna happen
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: for Scotland.
- 2:05:11Speaker 5: I would like to see what happened for most of
- 2:05:14Speaker 5: the countries, and then their folks as they go home
- 2:05:17Speaker 5: and tell, you know, their fellow Moroccans or Japanese, Hey,
- 2:05:21Speaker 5: you got to go to the States. Don't believe what
- 2:05:23Speaker 5: you've been told is so much cooler. It'd be nice
- 2:05:25Speaker 5: to see that.
- 2:05:26Speaker 3: It would be like outside of politics, these guys are
- 2:05:28Speaker 3: a badass. I mean, you don't you know the politics
- 2:05:30Speaker 3: you see on TV is not.
- 2:05:31Speaker 5: The people in the country, which is what they've been
- 2:05:33Speaker 5: saying about America, which has great, which is it's been unbelievable,
- 2:05:37Speaker 5: hasn't it. Yeah, we'll have something about them coming up
- 2:05:39Speaker 5: and you heard it here first, right.
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: That's always the pitch though, when they when they're trying
- 2:05:43Speaker 3: to convince, hey, we need to build this stadium, we
- 2:05:46Speaker 3: need to have these events because on the bigger stage,
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: it's going to lead to more tourism. Yeah, because if
- 2:05:53Speaker 3: you came here like I mean, if you look the
- 2:05:55Speaker 3: I mean these these dudes from England that came over
- 2:05:57Speaker 3: here the first couple of days and they were you know,
- 2:05:59Speaker 3: they were eating risk it and making these videos. I
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: mean their eyes were rolling back in their head. I
- 2:06:04Speaker 3: Mean that's what we hear about a lot from the
- 2:06:06Speaker 3: fans of World Cup teams is our food has really
- 2:06:09Speaker 3: become like a star of this country. I mean, we
- 2:06:12Speaker 3: are very polite people as a rule, we are.
- 2:06:14Speaker 5: I'll have something about that and you heard it here.
- 2:06:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but the food has become like a real star
- 2:06:19Speaker 3: for these you know, because you know, just the different
- 2:06:21Speaker 3: we have a great diversity of different flavors and I
- 2:06:24Speaker 3: wonder if people come over here from other countries and
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: try the food that we say is from their country,
- 2:06:30Speaker 3: like like you know, in other words, to fans from
- 2:06:32Speaker 3: Italy come here and go to Italian restaurants to see
- 2:06:34Speaker 3: how authentic their food is compared to their food at home.
- 2:06:37Speaker 3: Do you think they do that?
- 2:06:39Speaker 5: Possibly?
- 2:06:40Speaker 3: I mean not all of them, but I would think
- 2:06:45Speaker 3: that some of them do.
- 2:06:46Speaker 4: I know.
- 2:06:46Speaker 3: I would go over there in Europe and I was like, dude,
- 2:06:49Speaker 3: they have an American bar. I would go there in
- 2:06:51Speaker 3: a second. That's I think that's a very interesting thing
- 2:06:53Speaker 3: to go. If you were to go to England and
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: go to a restaurant that says they specialize in American
- 2:06:59Speaker 3: flavors in America foods, I would have to try it
- 2:07:02Speaker 3: just to see how authentic it is. You get this
- 2:07:04Speaker 3: sometimes on cruise ships, by the way, like when you
- 2:07:06Speaker 3: go to cruise ships or buffets will have like foods
- 2:07:09Speaker 3: from different areas of the world. Yes, And I always
- 2:07:11Speaker 3: wonder when people come here from those areas, does that
- 2:07:14Speaker 3: food add up?
- 2:07:15Speaker 10: Is it is it?
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: Is it even remotely authentic to what they what they
- 2:07:18Speaker 3: think it is. I remember non too long ago, I
- 2:07:21Speaker 3: had a friend basically who's done a lot of traveling.
- 2:07:23Speaker 3: Just tell me why why the US of A is
- 2:07:27Speaker 3: the US of A? And he basically told me, He's like,
- 2:07:29Speaker 3: do you can get anything you want to? You want
- 2:07:32Speaker 3: to buy a hovercraft? Yeah, you can do that, Like
- 2:07:35Speaker 3: you can buy you there's every every thought that's ever
- 2:07:39Speaker 3: filled a I kind of want that it exists and
- 2:07:43Speaker 3: you can buy it and it's at your front door
- 2:07:46Speaker 3: the next day. The one thing that is is it
- 2:07:48Speaker 3: is so unique hearing people from other countries relate their
- 2:07:51Speaker 3: experience here compared to their their home countries. And you know,
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: we were just talking during the break a second ago,
- 2:07:56Speaker 3: and when you know, Europeans have been saying this over
- 2:07:59Speaker 3: and over again, whether it be Italy, England, Ireland, whatever
- 2:08:02Speaker 3: the case may be. One of the things they find
- 2:08:04Speaker 3: unique is is that when Americans say, hey, yeah, it's
- 2:08:07Speaker 3: just right up the street or just you know, it's
- 2:08:08Speaker 3: just a little bit away. For us, a two and
- 2:08:10Speaker 3: a half or three or four hour drive is something
- 2:08:13Speaker 3: we would do anytime, like we drive down to Miami,
- 2:08:16Speaker 3: drive up to you know, to Savannah, George or whatever.
- 2:08:19Speaker 3: In Europe, like they don't think that at all, Like
- 2:08:22Speaker 3: when they're like right up the road to them is
- 2:08:24Speaker 3: like thirty minutes. Well, yeah, we were.
- 2:08:26Speaker 5: Darryl Payne sorry, earlier during Animal House talk about how
- 2:08:29Speaker 5: he and his wife would drop the kids off for school,
- 2:08:32Speaker 5: take the thirty minute train to Paris when they're from England,
- 2:08:36Speaker 5: go shopping, drink some cheap beer, and then be back
- 2:08:38Speaker 5: in time at three o'clock to get the kids up
- 2:08:40Speaker 5: from school.
- 2:08:41Speaker 3: I mean thirty to get further to go to Disney. Yeah, yeah, thirty.
- 2:08:44Speaker 5: Minutes from us right now would basically take you to
- 2:08:46Speaker 5: Mount Dora or downtown or Land.
- 2:08:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:08:49Speaker 5: There's no London to Paris.
- 2:08:51Speaker 3: So I love that. I think that's the coolest thing.
- 2:08:53Speaker 3: I'm going to try to make you love something even
- 2:08:56Speaker 3: better than that, because probably the coolest thing about the
- 2:08:59Speaker 3: World Cup that I haven't really fully absorbed is that, yes, Brazil,
- 2:09:04Speaker 3: all these teams have their stereotypical way of playing, but
- 2:09:08Speaker 3: this is the first tournament where I realized that all
- 2:09:11Speaker 3: of these teams and how they play is such an
- 2:09:13Speaker 3: absolute direct correlation to who and what they are as
- 2:09:18Speaker 3: a peak of their culture. Yes, Brazil, perfect example. Everyone
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: talks about Brazil. It's because of the party boy. Yeah,
- 2:09:26Speaker 3: heywag we're the swag. We're gonna win, and then we're
- 2:09:28Speaker 3: gonna dance, And if you don't want us to dance,
- 2:09:30Speaker 3: then then you shouldn't have let us score. And then Japan,
- 2:09:33Speaker 3: you're right, you're a thousand person right to Japan, we
- 2:09:36Speaker 3: know them, is very proper, very polite. And what do
- 2:09:39Speaker 3: they do after they go out and clean the stadium,
- 2:09:41Speaker 3: which is absolutely like parallel to what we hear about
- 2:09:44Speaker 3: their culture exactly. Also, they're probably not gonna win too
- 2:09:47Speaker 3: many headers. You're gonna throw that out there, so that
- 2:09:51Speaker 3: will then direct how they play the match. So there
- 2:09:56Speaker 3: and all these weird I hate to say it, but
- 2:09:58Speaker 3: stereotypes that all of a sudd and some of them
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: don't really a lot of the players and people around
- 2:10:03Speaker 3: the sport kind of laugh or absorb it. Like great example,
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: the Dutch, the Netherlands, they are known to always be
- 2:10:11Speaker 3: like aggressively honest, oh really yeah, oh so like all
- 2:10:15Speaker 3: of their postgame press conferences are like we weren't good,
- 2:10:19Speaker 3: next question. But that's how they are, that's how that's
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: how that culture is though, and it's the same exact
- 2:10:24Speaker 3: way on how they play football. Yeah yeah, interesting, how
- 2:10:27Speaker 3: they go about their sport. It's so cool. It is interesting.
- 2:10:29Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: The funny thing was, I was doing writing trivia a
- 2:10:32Speaker 3: few weeks back, and and you know, I was looking
- 2:10:34Speaker 3: at something about the Dutch and and one of the
- 2:10:36Speaker 3: things was is that when you go there and you
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: have conversations, you have to kind of prepare yourself because
- 2:10:42Speaker 3: they're bluntly honest. And in America we're so used to
- 2:10:45Speaker 3: kind of putting on gloves for people and being like,
- 2:10:47Speaker 3: you know, courteous and you know, and aware of their feelings.
- 2:10:50Speaker 3: They don't really look at that. They don't they don't
- 2:10:52Speaker 3: do it like that. If you're a huge fan in
- 2:10:54Speaker 3: the same way a little bit, if you're a fan
- 2:10:56Speaker 3: of the show Ted Lasso, that guy who's just like
- 2:10:59Speaker 3: dumb and on us throughout the first couple of seasons.
- 2:11:02Speaker 3: He's the Dutch representative, and that's playing off of the
- 2:11:05Speaker 3: stereotype of a Dutch athlete or a Dutch person. What
- 2:11:09Speaker 3: is our stereotype stereotype globally the US's team. Are we
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: like aggressive bullies pushing it the whole time, or we
- 2:11:15Speaker 3: are nuanced? I mean, I got nothing but bad news
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: for you off that question. I think we're more of
- 2:11:21Speaker 3: an afterthought. Oh really, And and you know what, it's
- 2:11:24Speaker 3: mutual because we kind of look at the sport outside
- 2:11:28Speaker 3: of the World Cup being here as an afterthought, it's
- 2:11:32Speaker 3: not the top two or top three I think league
- 2:11:35Speaker 3: in the country. Do we get pisses off the rest
- 2:11:38Speaker 3: of the world. Do we get the World Cup then,
- 2:11:40Speaker 3: just simply because we are the US and everything we've
- 2:11:43Speaker 3: just said in the last ten minutes is just so
- 2:11:45Speaker 3: attractive to the globe? I mean, is that why we
- 2:11:47Speaker 3: get it? Our facilities? Do we just throw a name in?
- 2:11:50Speaker 3: Is it what it is? I mean, you bid? We
- 2:11:57Speaker 3: all know that that's a joke, That's what I'm saying.
- 2:11:59Speaker 3: I mean, you know the FIFA is like super corrupt.
- 2:12:01Speaker 3: I mean, and the bidding process is a joke as well.
- 2:12:04Speaker 3: So and I for the longest time, I always say,
- 2:12:06Speaker 3: and why what what makes it corrupt? Look at the
- 2:12:10Speaker 3: likability that the US, all of North America is obtaining
- 2:12:14Speaker 3: on a global scale. That simply put, you just can't
- 2:12:18Speaker 3: ride a commercial for where's the What's the most controversial
- 2:12:22Speaker 3: place the World Cup has been held? Probably Qatar was
- 2:12:26Speaker 3: really last one. I'm gonna ask it again, Qatar or Cutter.
- 2:12:30Speaker 3: It's I've heard of both. Yeah, he plays right wing
- 2:12:34Speaker 3: for Morocco. Four years ago, that World's Cup was the
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: most controversial I think turn. I mean people literally died
- 2:12:46Speaker 3: for that tournament to be held, Like they had poor
- 2:12:49Speaker 3: working programs. They were it was modern day, like it's
- 2:12:53Speaker 3: not slavery. They said, yes, but they're being shipped into
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: work on low wages to build stadiums. While four years
- 2:13:01Speaker 3: later we're like, yeah, we do this for college. You
- 2:13:04Speaker 3: can borrow it, like it's in the summer, right, just
- 2:13:07Speaker 3: don't touch the aggies. Yeah, so it it's wild. Yeah,
- 2:13:11Speaker 3: I wonder what when people travel here, what state they
- 2:13:14Speaker 3: like the most. We get a lot of stuff about Texas,
- 2:13:17Speaker 3: Like that's the first couple of the first couple of
- 2:13:18Speaker 3: days of world couples here. All the information you got
- 2:13:22Speaker 3: was about Texas. I didn't hear much about Atlanta. I
- 2:13:24Speaker 3: didn't hear much about where's the FAMI Miami or what's
- 2:13:27Speaker 3: where's the one way up north in New Boston. Yeah,
- 2:13:31Speaker 3: I didn't hear much about any of that stuff. All
- 2:13:32Speaker 3: you heard about was Texas barbecue. Texas barbecue so good.
- 2:13:36Speaker 3: Texas is kind of the main whether we like it
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: or not. As an American, I promise you this is
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: to be more true than not. Texas is like the
- 2:13:46Speaker 3: idealization of the entire country for the rest of the world.
- 2:13:50Speaker 3: So Texas is like the US, Like, if you wanted
- 2:13:53Speaker 3: to have the US experience, just go to Texas and
- 2:13:56Speaker 3: that will give you everything you need to know. I
- 2:13:57Speaker 3: think that's really crappy. Yeah it's cowboys, cowboys, barbecue, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:14:03Speaker 3: the Old West, the old John Wayne movies. What I
- 2:14:05Speaker 3: drive is to Orlando is Texas to the rest of
- 2:14:08Speaker 3: the world. Oh really, why not in the sense of
- 2:14:11Speaker 3: just heavy tourism, but just like that's the only thing
- 2:14:14Speaker 3: they're going to really experience. And by the way, that
- 2:14:17Speaker 3: image of the US has been dead for a while.
- 2:14:19Speaker 3: I would think it would be like New York or Boston,
- 2:14:21Speaker 3: like one of our big metropolitan areas would be the
- 2:14:23Speaker 3: would be the thing that people would want to see.
- 2:14:24Speaker 3: But I guess people from countries like that have metropolitan
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: areas everywhere they go. London, Paris, like all these big
- 2:14:30Speaker 3: cities are not uncommon to them, but the Great out
- 2:14:33Speaker 3: West and these giant national parks would be very uncommon.
- 2:14:36Speaker 3: But to answer that question, because it is not good
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: the rest of the world looks at our soccer team
- 2:14:42Speaker 3: and has always laughed at it. I'm here to tell
- 2:14:45Speaker 3: you some good news in some bad news. This is
- 2:14:48Speaker 3: the first tournament we've ever been respected. This is the
- 2:14:52Speaker 3: first time since like nineteen thirty something that we've won
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: the first two World Cup games. It's the first time
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: we've ever had world renown manager leading our guys. When
- 2:15:03Speaker 3: we When do we play next? I believe Thursday, Thursday,
- 2:15:06Speaker 3: next week nine o'clock, Yeah, this week? Yeah, tomorrow?
- 2:15:09Speaker 11: Really?
- 2:15:09Speaker 3: Now do we play a winner of a game that's
- 2:15:10Speaker 3: happening today? Because I saw the brackets and we're already
- 2:15:13Speaker 3: clinched in so so now the question is are we
- 2:15:17Speaker 3: resting players tomorrow? Because we already won our group. We
- 2:15:19Speaker 3: don't have to win this next game. We've clinched advancing.
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: We play Turkey A. Turkey A. Turkey A, not Turkey B.
- 2:15:28Speaker 3: It's a different name, Turkey A. Did you hear about this?
- 2:15:30Speaker 3: You're not familiar with Turkey A. I get the weird
- 2:15:33Speaker 3: feeling your fing with me, and I get the weird
- 2:15:37Speaker 3: feeling your f because I mean, I I just said
- 2:15:39Speaker 3: a guy's name was id asked, So I'm just I'm
- 2:15:42Speaker 3: just saying it feels like you're doesn't it feel that way? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:15:46Speaker 3: it feels this feels very funy. You need to get
- 2:15:50Speaker 3: out more, you know, I really do what you need
- 2:15:52Speaker 3: to do. You need to I need to go to
- 2:15:54Speaker 3: Turkey A instead. See what's happening on the world stage.
- 2:15:57Speaker 3: Turkey changed their name to Turkey A. It's definitely not that.
- 2:16:03Speaker 3: I'm here to tell you. Jack is telling you the truth.
- 2:16:06Speaker 3: So there's a Turkey A and a Turkey BT. No, no,
- 2:16:08Speaker 3: we're not saying that. No, we're saying that Turkey had
- 2:16:13Speaker 3: a meeting and they went no more Turkey, We're going
- 2:16:16Speaker 3: Turkey A. There's no way that's true. They went through
- 2:16:20Speaker 3: a rebrand. Why would they do that. The name of
- 2:16:22Speaker 3: the country is Turkey. So if I look at a
- 2:16:24Speaker 3: map right now, it's gonna be Turkey A. That's what
- 2:16:26Speaker 3: we call it. We call it Turkey. They don't call
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: it the longest time, they basically grabbed hopped on a
- 2:16:33Speaker 3: phone call, hit speakerphone and went, hey, by the way, guys,
- 2:16:36Speaker 3: stop calling us Turkey. It's not We've never been Turkey.
- 2:16:40Speaker 3: It's Turkey A.
- 2:16:42Speaker 14: So you.
- 2:16:46Speaker 5: Yeah, he's right, both are right. Actually it's not. It's
- 2:16:54Speaker 5: Turkey A.
- 2:16:55Speaker 3: We just know it's breaking. It happened right before the tournament.
- 2:16:58Speaker 3: To my knowledge, I have this moment a month forgot
- 2:17:00Speaker 3: and now the U has an omeblot. So now it's
- 2:17:03Speaker 3: like a heavy metal band. Yeah, it's got some got
- 2:17:06Speaker 3: some flavors, all right for seven nine six four one
- 2:17:08Speaker 3: text seven to seven zero three one. Got some news
- 2:17:10Speaker 3: force kido. Yeah.
- 2:17:11Speaker 5: Governor DeSantis gets an e Byke safety bill, the Scottish
- 2:17:14Speaker 5: Tartan Army takes over South Florida, and Kraft moves toward
- 2:17:19Speaker 5: diplomacy diplomacy DIP, I mean, I get it. Yeah.
- 2:17:26Speaker 3: A tough day.
- 2:17:27Speaker 5: Yeah, but we're going to talk about that next. Anyway,
- 2:17:29Speaker 5: I wanted to hear first.
- 2:17:30Speaker 3: I just had to be convinced of Turkey eight and
- 2:17:33Speaker 3: I had to look it up too. And the guy
- 2:17:35Speaker 3: who convinced me that is a guy named I asked you.
- 2:17:38Speaker 3: So we'll do news next and get the hell out
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: of here on a Wednesday to watch.
- 2:17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we like it.
- 2:17:44Speaker 2: Wait to watch the Jim on YouTube, Yl was taken
- 2:17:51Speaker 2: talking about Jim WI love you.
- 2:17:54Speaker 3: My uh boss is from Turkey Turk and he's serving
- 2:18:00Speaker 3: the military and everything. It's it's pronounced Turka. It's not Turkey.
- 2:18:04Speaker 3: Like gobblegobble like it's Turque.
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: It's not Turkey.
- 2:18:08Speaker 3: It sounds like sounds like you're trying to be fancy. Okay,
- 2:18:13Speaker 3: Happy Wednesday, everyone house. Everyone is doing well.
- 2:18:17Speaker 21: As far as the europe travel thing, I know it's
- 2:18:20Speaker 21: easy to underestimate, but you know, we're talking about three
- 2:18:24Speaker 21: or four hours. That's pretty common for something like even
- 2:18:27Speaker 21: Amsterdam to Brussels or Amsterdam to uh, you know, to
- 2:18:31Speaker 21: like a Duseldorf somewhere in Germany. Even the trains can
- 2:18:34Speaker 21: take a few hours. So it's not as small as
- 2:18:37Speaker 21: you would think, but it is a little bit smaller.
- 2:18:41Speaker 6: Jemmy, are you deaf or blind? Debbie tried to ask them.
- 2:18:45Speaker 6: Debbie dev asked you to shut up politely at least
- 2:18:50Speaker 6: twice now, and you're still going on with stuff she's
- 2:18:54Speaker 6: gonna do in the news. Cut it out, bro Let
- 2:18:58Speaker 6: her do her news, or you'd just go sit there
- 2:19:00Speaker 6: and stare at you at the under the show.
- 2:19:03Speaker 5: I did not tell you to shut up.
- 2:19:05Speaker 3: I don't know what her news is going to be
- 2:19:06Speaker 3: every day, buddy, I don't ask him. We will have
- 2:19:08Speaker 3: a conversation about the news. That's she that's her job.
- 2:19:10Speaker 3: She pulls the news. Yeah, Debbie pulls the news. Yeah, Debbie.
- 2:19:13Speaker 5: Debbie pulls a lot of stuff.
- 2:19:14Speaker 3: All right. Oh, seven seven zero three one. Welcome back
- 2:19:21Speaker 3: to the Jim Colbert Show. I'm Jim. There's Devin. Hello,
- 2:19:23Speaker 3: Jay Sauces here as well. It's true coming up tomorrow,
- 2:19:27Speaker 3: we'll have let's see Colbert Court will do Chloe G's
- 2:19:31Speaker 3: coming in tomorrow. It's all kinds of fun stuff. Another
- 2:19:33Speaker 3: Ross thoughts tomorrow. I'm on a heater. Yeah. I don't
- 2:19:37Speaker 3: want to jinx it, but I gotta manifest it. I
- 2:19:40Speaker 3: feel you, no problem with it's gonna There's gotta be
- 2:19:43Speaker 3: a theater Thursday. There has to be, buddy, you should
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: work on that. I've got one cooking. It's got to
- 2:19:50Speaker 3: get cooked, all right, we'll cook it up. All right,
- 2:19:53Speaker 3: Let's get some news. Let's do you heard it here first?
- 2:19:55Speaker 1: Good time for you heard it here first on the
- 2:19:59Speaker 1: Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:20:00Speaker 5: And e bike Safety bill has one more step to
- 2:20:03Speaker 5: clear before becoming law. And this would be good news.
- 2:20:06Speaker 5: We did have a fifteen year old boy killed on
- 2:20:08Speaker 5: an e bike and a hit and run in Vieira.
- 2:20:11Speaker 5: So the bill passed the state legislature last week and
- 2:20:14Speaker 5: is headed to Governor Ron De Santis's desk for his signature.
- 2:20:17Speaker 5: The bill requires e bike riders to stay under ten
- 2:20:21Speaker 5: miles an hour on sidewalks when a pedestrian is within
- 2:20:25Speaker 5: fifty feet. Violators could be fined thirty dollars. Local governments
- 2:20:29Speaker 5: would still be able to pass their own laws, though
- 2:20:32Speaker 5: at least for the moment.
- 2:20:33Speaker 3: Right, yeah, for the moment.
- 2:20:34Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 2:20:35Speaker 5: Like I said earlier, the Tartan Army is out in
- 2:20:37Speaker 5: full force as Scottish soccer fans take in the sites
- 2:20:40Speaker 5: and sounds of South Florida. Sean Alexander is vlogging his
- 2:20:44Speaker 5: American experience, including his first pub sub.
- 2:20:47Speaker 3: Is the Public's that John down the road from where
- 2:20:49Speaker 3: I'm staying? So yes, absolutely, I'm going to. I'm all in.
- 2:20:53Speaker 3: I'm going to try it. I can't wait.
- 2:20:54Speaker 5: Meanwhile, World Cup soccer fans are complaining about the concession
- 2:20:57Speaker 5: prices at games in Miami. I don't know why. When
- 2:21:01Speaker 5: caviar topped tater tots costs seventy five dollars, a five
- 2:21:05Speaker 5: pound empanada cost forty dollars, it's a five though some
- 2:21:10Speaker 5: of the beers cost as much as a day's pay.
- 2:21:12Speaker 5: In Mexico City, Twinkie cheeseburgers are selling for twenty two dollars.
- 2:21:16Speaker 5: In Los Angeles, Scotland is playing Brazil right now at
- 2:21:19Speaker 5: Miami Stadium, and it looks like the rain, at least
- 2:21:21Speaker 5: the severe thunderstorms and lightning are holding off at least
- 2:21:25Speaker 5: for the moment.
- 2:21:26Speaker 3: Beers are twenty bucks at some of the stadiums. Yeah,
- 2:21:28Speaker 3: twenty dollars for like a twelve ounce spear.
- 2:21:30Speaker 5: Yeah. And then finally, in a move toward as I said,
- 2:21:33Speaker 5: dip lomacy, Fortune magazine says Craft has created TSA compliant
- 2:21:39Speaker 5: Ranch dressing travel kits out for obsessed World Cup soccer fans.
- 2:21:43Speaker 5: The kit includes a clear TSA approved quart sized bag,
- 2:21:48Speaker 5: enough Ranch packets to fill a bottle, and a ranch
- 2:21:52Speaker 5: bottle inspired luggage tag for travelers hoping to snag the
- 2:21:56Speaker 5: TSA compliant ranch kit. Craft says updates will be shared
- 2:22:00Speaker 5: the at craft Sauces Instagram account, with more details expected soon.
- 2:22:04Speaker 5: I think what ended up happening is they saw the
- 2:22:06Speaker 5: fervor quickly came up with a product, and now they're
- 2:22:09Speaker 5: trying to manufacture and get it out because they announced it,
- 2:22:12Speaker 5: but they haven't said when they're going to be available,
- 2:22:14Speaker 5: So if you want one for your you know soccer
- 2:22:17Speaker 5: fans that are here at craft Sauces on Instagram and
- 2:22:21Speaker 5: you heard it here first the Jim Culprit.
- 2:22:23Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't have you. You would know this more
- 2:22:26Speaker 3: because you're actually married to a dude from England. It's
- 2:22:28Speaker 3: not Manny's over there, right, Isn't there like a thing
- 2:22:31Speaker 3: called like sandwich cream or something like that. I know
- 2:22:34Speaker 3: that sounds so ridiculous, but I think you're right. Yeah,
- 2:22:37Speaker 3: they don't use may over there. I don't believe, and
- 2:22:39Speaker 3: it's not miracle whip whip, but I believe it's close
- 2:22:42Speaker 3: to that. It's more of a sweet kind of sandwich
- 2:22:45Speaker 3: spread than others.
- 2:22:46Speaker 5: That I don't remember because marmites just scarred me.
- 2:22:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, you don't say salad cream. There you go?
- 2:22:52Speaker 3: Is it salad salad cream? Salad cream salad cream? I
- 2:22:57Speaker 3: don't know, but I just know that there's something like
- 2:22:59Speaker 3: that that they put a Their sandwich is in mayo.
- 2:23:01Speaker 3: It is not like a big thing there. Look it
- 2:23:03Speaker 3: is here Mayo, keen greet it and you're ranch dressing.
- 2:23:07Speaker 3: All right, let's get out of here. What do you
- 2:23:08Speaker 3: say you've got time to scout. Who do we have
- 2:23:10Speaker 3: to think today? And Liddy?
- 2:23:11Speaker 5: We want to thank that mortgage guy Don for saucing
- 2:23:14Speaker 5: up our Wednesdays. I also want to thank Darryl Payne

- 2:23:39Speaker 3: our YouTube chat. Where are you on the StEB?
- 2:23:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna say seventy four percent?
- 2:23:45Speaker 3: Man, I was gonna go higher than that. I think
- 2:23:46Speaker 3: it's like eighty three percent, way off, eighty two percent.
- 2:23:51Speaker 3: Good call, stand up. Yes, it's happening. It's going down
- 2:23:55Speaker 3: Blue Springs Brewing Comedy Night. That's right, July eighteenth. It

- 2:25:19Speaker 19: are getting by. It's still stopping go though, I for
- 2:25:21Speaker 19: westbound near Lee Road. There's a fender bender getting cleared
- 2:25:25Speaker 19: up off to the shoulder as well. The turnpikes still
- 2:25:27Speaker 19: stop and go southbound before con
