Morning — February 18 — Jeremiah 17:17
Do not become a terror to me; You are my refuge in the day of disaster. — Jeremiah 17:17
God's face shining on us is our only true good when everything else fails. His anger lasts a moment, while His covenant favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping may endure through the night, yet the morning of His joy is certain. The believer's true refuge is the steadfast love of the Lord, who hides and reveals His face in perfect wisdom.
