  Tesla has confirmed that the upcoming Cyber Truck delivery

  event will be streamed exclusively on X.

  Now no more YouTube. This is the social media

  platform previously known as Twitter, and it's now under the
• 0:34
  leadership of Elon Musk. If you're not aware now, this
• 0:37
  decision has sparked a debate regarding Musk's influence in
• 0:40
  leveraging his business to support each other, especially
• 0:43
  considering Tesla's status as a publicly traded company.

  In 2022, Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion, and
• 0:52
  subsequently he took the company private.

  Musk, already at the helm of Tesla and SpaceX, assumed the
• 0:58
  roles of CEOCTO, executive chair at Twitter, which he later
• 1:02
  renamed to X, and earlier this year he appointed Linda
• 1:06
  Yankarino as CEO of X, partially relieving himself of his duties
• 1:11
  there. Musk's involvement in X,
• 1:13
  especially in the context of responsibilities at Tesla and
• 1:17
  SpaceX, initially caused unease amongst Tesla's investors.

  The renaming of Twitter to X reflects Musk's ambition to
• 1:25
  transform the platform into an Everything app, expanding beyond
• 1:29
  its original 140 character text format to include videos, long
• 1:34
  form content and live streams. Now this strategic shift has
• 1:39
  been evident in Spacex's recent actions.

  The space exploration companies ceased using other social media
• 1:45
  platforms, including YouTube, where they have millions and
• 1:48
  millions of followers and millions and millions of views
• 1:52
  on their past launches where it has its over 1,000,000
• 1:55
  subscribers to exclusively stream its events such as the
• 1:59
  Starship test flight on X. And I have to say, from a
• 2:03
  personal standpoint, the video quality on X was OK.

  They don't have any discovery on X yet for videos, so I'm not
• 2:14
  sure how many people will be watching the Tesla live stream
• 2:17
  on X. And while Must Decision might
• 2:20
  not inherently draw criticism. The quality of X's live
• 2:23
  streaming services is not really up to par with established
• 2:27
  platforms like YouTube. X's stream have been noted for
• 2:30
  their inferior video quality and lack of key features such as the
• 2:34
  ability to rewind live content and also Chromecast to your TV
• 2:40
  or cast to your TV. You have to do screen sharing on
• 2:44
  your phone to cast it to your TV.

  Now test. The decision to stream the
• 2:50
  highly anticipated Cyber Truck delivery event exclusively on X
• 2:54
  is therefore seen as a critical move moving forward, and the
• 2:58
  Cyber Truck has generated significant interest, evidenced
• 3:01
  by the long lines of people eager to see the vehicle at
• 3:04
  Tesla stores. Streaming this event on X can
• 3:06
  significantly boost the platform's reputation as a
• 3:10
  destination for video, live streams and for long form
• 3:13
  content. Historically, though, this
• 3:16
  synergy between Musk's companies has been beneficial.

  Tesla once used parts of Spacex's Hawthorne factory for
• 3:22
  its design studio, and the companies have shared resources
• 3:25
  and expertise, particularly in developing the Cybertruck
• 3:29
  stainless steel alloy. Now, SpaceX has also used
• 3:33
  batteries from Tesla in some of the Rockets.

  The collaboration between Tesla and X, while not immediately
• 3:39
  apparent, could prove advantageous for Tesla,
• 3:42
  potentially positioning X as a major news platform and aiding
• 3:47
  Tesla encountering negative press, also a live video stream
• 3:52
  platform. However, the current
• 3:54
  technological shortcomings of X's live streaming capabilities
• 3:59
  raise questions about the suitability of exclusivity with
• 4:02
  hosting a high profile event like a cyber truck delivery on
• 4:06
  the platform. Additionally, as a publicly
• 4:09
  traded company, Tesla may face legal scrutiny for choosing the
• 4:13
  stream this event solely on X without considering an
• 4:17
  alternative like YouTube or they already have a huge established
• 4:22
  audience. Now as of now, it seems that

  Tesla intends to proceed with the exclusive streaming of
• 4:28
  Cybertruck event on X. We'll continue to monitor the
