- 0:00Speaker 1: Trek.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's the Galaxy's most unpredictable Star Trek podcast.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Trek Cast, that Galaxy's most unpredictable
- 0:21Speaker 1: Star Trek podcast. Discuss everything Star Trek. Here, everything Star Trek,
- 0:29Speaker 1: even things that might not feel like Star Trek but
- 0:32Speaker 1: have a Star Trek name attached to them. That's something
- 0:35Speaker 1: that we might talk about.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That's right, that's right.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm one of your hosts, Dan, I'm Agent Dan of
- 0:42Speaker 1: Section thirty two. I know, yeah, which is one better
- 0:46Speaker 1: than Section thirty one if you know anything about math?
- 0:49Speaker 1: With me as always Daniel Reyes. There's another guy. There's
- 0:54Speaker 1: another guy kicking around the.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Studio somewhere in there.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yeah he might. He might stroll in.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you might reveal himself later whenever he decides to
- 1:03Speaker 3: get on set apparently. Oh boy, yeah man, how you
- 1:07Speaker 3: doing all right?
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'm still recovering from a little bit. Yeah, you can
- 1:12Speaker 1: hear my voice is still it is still nasty. You'll
- 1:15Speaker 1: you'll see me reaching in to mute the mic from
- 1:18Speaker 1: time to time and then and then cough, do a
- 1:22Speaker 1: silent cough like that. But uh, feel a lot better
- 1:25Speaker 1: than I did a two weeks ago.
- 1:26Speaker 3: So that's good.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It's a long road. Yeah, yeah, it is.
- 1:32Speaker 3: We have a long road to talk about today with God. Yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 3: it's not too late to turn back. I don't know
- 1:41Speaker 3: what else we would talk about at this point. I
- 1:44Speaker 3: don't know, I know, I know we'll get through it.
- 1:46Speaker 3: We'll we'll power on through. But yeah, so we should
- 1:52Speaker 3: probably get to the news because there's a ton and uh,
- 1:56Speaker 3: just to let you guys know the news, this segment
- 1:59Speaker 3: is going to just be entertainment news because all the
- 2:03Speaker 3: Star Wars Trek news with section thirty one news, So
- 2:06Speaker 3: it's all stuff we're gonna just bring up as we
- 2:08Speaker 3: talk about it in the main topic, our big review
- 2:10Speaker 3: of section thirty one. So yeah, so let's get to
- 2:14Speaker 3: the entertainment news. So our first news story is our
- 2:23Speaker 3: never ending uh watch of to what's going on with
- 2:27Speaker 3: Paramount and it's up.
- 2:29Speaker 1: With what's up with them Mount? Well, it's gonna tell
- 2:32Speaker 1: us what's up with them Mount?
- 2:34Speaker 3: I made a stinger print.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 2:43Speaker 3: It is the Goofy's circus music, because that's totally what
- 2:46Speaker 3: it is. It's you know, it's a train wreck of
- 2:48Speaker 3: a circus.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's a circus.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, So here we go, all right, so our news
- 2:53Speaker 3: story comes to us from Variety, and apparently Paramount has
- 2:58Speaker 3: another bid offer to consider, this time a last minute
- 3:03Speaker 3: thirteen point five billion dollar offer from investors to replace
- 3:08Speaker 3: the sky DANCEPID. So another thing to consider is.
- 3:14Speaker 1: This our people, Is this the kofee account?
- 3:17Speaker 3: No, this is not our Our Our bid will be
- 3:21Speaker 3: much much stronger than this. It'll be thirteen point five
- 3:25Speaker 3: billion of monopoly money.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, uh so.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah, so another group is throwing them hat. They're hat
- 3:33Speaker 3: in the ring. We'll see what happens. It's another bid
- 3:36Speaker 3: for them to consider. They're also still kind of waiting
- 3:39Speaker 3: for the regulators to change out so that way the
- 3:42Speaker 3: merger can go through regulators up. Yeah, so it is.
- 3:49Speaker 3: It is just a freaking nightmare over there as to
- 3:52Speaker 3: what is going on and when it will happen. So
- 3:55Speaker 3: don't worry, guys. At some point someone else is going
- 3:58Speaker 3: to own Paramount. It seems like it's just a matter
- 4:00Speaker 3: of who. So until then, Paramount was walking those streets
- 4:04Speaker 3: looking for that cheap love.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Well, I mean, at least in the meantime they're still
- 4:09Speaker 1: making good content.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That's right. That's right, Pop Patrol and SpongeBob, all those things.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So yeah, oh god, the reviews I read about Star
- 4:22Speaker 3: Trek this week have been insane.
- 4:26Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Anyways, our next news story since we'd like to talk
- 4:30Speaker 3: about Superman here I figured we talked about this. We
- 4:33Speaker 3: got our first look at Supergirl. Okay, so that is Oh,
- 4:39Speaker 3: look who's here? Wow?
- 4:43Speaker 1: Oh he just geez? You know who he looks like?
- 4:46Speaker 1: You know who he looks like right now? Do you remember, okay,
- 4:49Speaker 1: do you remember the episode of TNG when when towards
- 4:54Speaker 1: the end of the episode, the space time continuum was
- 4:57Speaker 1: collapsing and then we're enterprises parallel from Yeah, their enterprises
- 5:01Speaker 1: from all the different parallel universes, and there was the
- 5:04Speaker 1: one where the board gets taken over everything and crazy
- 5:07Speaker 1: the other crazy Riker was like, you can't make us
- 5:10Speaker 1: go back.
- 5:10Speaker 3: It's terrible.
- 5:11Speaker 1: There. That's what he looks like right now.
- 5:13Speaker 4: It's how I feel. Yeah, I just I just rewatched
- 5:17Speaker 4: texton thirty one again this morning.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Why why did you do that?
- 5:20Speaker 4: For? I had I had to take notes?
- 5:25Speaker 3: Is it is it like miles of Brian in that
- 5:27Speaker 3: prison was horrible?
- 5:31Speaker 4: Does anybody else in the chat I'm hearing you guys
- 5:34Speaker 4: are awfully a little distorted? Is that just me or is.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I don't know no one saying anything, so yeah, I
- 5:41Speaker 3: don't know.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I hear both of you find Yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I hear you find too. Maybe it's it's because you're
- 5:47Speaker 3: haggard out from section thirty one.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you just froze.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Maybe it could be me. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 5:52Speaker 4: come back. I'm gonna come back.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Okay, all right, all right, So well he's doing that. Yeah,
- 5:58Speaker 3: that's our first look at at Carzurel as they're about
- 6:02Speaker 3: to start rolling. Oh yeah, other people said, everything sounds fine.
- 6:07Speaker 3: What Brian he watched section thirty one twice? Send him
- 6:13Speaker 3: to him mental hospital?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, well I sort of watched it twice. Okay, Okay,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I mean I'll we'll get to it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Okay, we'll get it.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We'll get to it. Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 3: So anyways, so yeah, that's the new cars arel. That's
- 6:28Speaker 3: just you know, I just thought i'd show that since
- 6:32Speaker 3: we talked about Superman.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So okay, yeah, cool.
- 6:35Speaker 3: They Yeah, they start rolling, and uh, we should have
- 6:38Speaker 3: a new movie at some point, you know, maybe next
- 6:41Speaker 3: year or so. Oh he's back, okay, all right, and
- 6:47Speaker 3: then our last news our last news story comes to
- 6:52Speaker 3: us from CBR and Thanos himself. Josh Josh Brolin is
- 7:01Speaker 3: very upset about apparent Oscar snub. He feels that Villy Delaneue,
- 7:08Speaker 3: who directed the first two Dune movies, should have been
- 7:10Speaker 3: nominated for an Oscar and he just feels like it's just, yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 3: a betrayal. He said, you know, Dune Too was such
- 7:17Speaker 3: a great film, how could he not be nominated?
- 7:21Speaker 4: So nominated for what? Best longest drawn out sci fi
- 7:26Speaker 4: movie of all time?
- 7:29Speaker 3: I mean, you saw section thirty one? Is it really
- 7:31Speaker 3: the longest drawn out?
- 7:32Speaker 4: Okay, we'll lump it in with that.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah, so whatever, you know, I just thought that was
- 7:38Speaker 3: interesting that Danos is mad and now he's got a
- 7:41Speaker 3: reason to snap off. So there you go.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's like what wine? So that's all the
- 7:51Speaker 3: news stories? Yeah, just through that? Should we get to
- 7:57Speaker 3: the main topic?
- 7:58Speaker 5: Now?
- 7:58Speaker 4: Hold on, are you sure there's more than new stories?
- 8:00Speaker 1: There's gotta be something?
- 8:02Speaker 4: Can we can we make something up? I mean, look,
- 8:04Speaker 4: look look up again? Can what about listener feedback? Is
- 8:08Speaker 4: chas beenz waiting for us? Let's let's go right to that.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Oh oh okay, Oh I get what you're trying to do.
- 8:14Speaker 1: No, I have something so I watched. I was watching
- 8:17Speaker 1: the so I was I was off from work the
- 8:20Speaker 1: day the inauguration because it was also Martlett the King day. Okay,
- 8:24Speaker 1: so I had the TV on in the background most
- 8:28Speaker 1: of the day and there was all different you know,
- 8:31Speaker 1: uh inauguration coverage. And there was a point where you
- 8:36Speaker 1: had members of the military information waiting to be inspected
- 8:41Speaker 1: by the president. And as the camera was passing by,
- 8:45Speaker 1: panning by, I'm looking at the uniform like, oh, these
- 8:49Speaker 1: people must be must be Space Force. Oh and and
- 8:53Speaker 1: the patch, the patch on the shoulder, it was you know,
- 8:58Speaker 1: the delta, the Star Trek Delta to and you know,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they're a very new uh you know, they're very new branch.
- 9:05Speaker 1: So I'm not familiar with all the all the uniform
- 9:08Speaker 1: protocols and everything. But I don't know if this person
- 9:10Speaker 1: was a was a corporal and because of that had
- 9:13Speaker 1: two chevrons, but it was the Delta with two lines
- 9:19Speaker 1: behind it, and it totally looked it totally looked like
- 9:22Speaker 1: a Starfleet like Voyager era combadge. Oh, I thought it
- 9:28Speaker 1: was cool. Star Trek.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's cool.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Still shot.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I mean I thought you would recognize the patches being
- 9:35Speaker 3: that you're part of Space Force.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm part of section thirty two right section thirty two.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Section thirty two, which is one more one more than
- 9:45Speaker 1: section thirty one.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Section thirty two. Space Force is still a better story
- 9:49Speaker 4: than the section. I do feel like that Riker from
- 9:53Speaker 4: from Parallels. Yeah, you know, I just want to come
- 9:57Speaker 4: on the screen like you can't talk about the main time.
- 10:00Speaker 4: You don't know what it's like in my universe. Paramounts Gone,
- 10:03Speaker 4: Curtsman is everywhere.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Stop no, oh god, it's so bad, Deserts Desire is
- 10:13Speaker 1: a living room, Like, what the hell is going on?
- 10:16Speaker 3: So how long were you sitting in the corner, just
- 10:18Speaker 3: in the fetal position crying afterwards?
- 10:20Speaker 4: Oh my, oh my goodness. I you know I made this, Okay,
- 10:24Speaker 4: I know we haven't gotten to it. I'm just telling
- 10:26Speaker 4: you I've got just get let's do it.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Let's just.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Fine.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Will now come out?
- 10:37Speaker 3: All right?
- 10:38Speaker 4: I do have a compliment sandwich, real.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Quick, real quick.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Spoilers for people who just care. Giant spoilers throughout.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we're gonna be spoiling, spoiling the whole thing.
- 10:51Speaker 3: We're gonna spoil the crap out of this thing.
- 10:53Speaker 4: I'd like to begin with my the bread part the
- 10:56Speaker 4: top bread, part of my compliment sandwich. Okay, I thought
- 11:01Speaker 4: the phase shift fight was kind of cool.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
- 11:10Speaker 4: That's the best thing I could say about this entire movie.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Nope, nope, nope.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Okay, so I'm.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Gonna I'm gonna take a giant ship.
- 11:19Speaker 4: On that, please do, because it's the best that I got.
- 11:22Speaker 4: But it's still a it's still crap.
- 11:24Speaker 3: What is your problem with it? And I'll tell you
- 11:26Speaker 3: my problem.
- 11:27Speaker 1: My problem with it is it was the same problem
- 11:32Speaker 1: when they did the phasing in that episode where the
- 11:36Speaker 1: next phase it was it Jordian Roe. Okay, they would
- 11:40Speaker 1: face through everything except the floor.
- 11:42Speaker 3: That was my problem.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Okay, So and the way they and the way they
- 11:46Speaker 1: explained that away on the show. It had something to
- 11:48Speaker 1: do with the gravity plating on the ship. They were
- 11:50Speaker 1: always on the ship, the gravity plate. Okay, Fine, there's
- 11:53Speaker 1: a point where they're fighting and they're running through things
- 11:58Speaker 1: that are around. They're not falling through the floor, but
- 12:00Speaker 1: they're running through things, they're running through walls, they're running
- 12:02Speaker 1: through people. But then a minute later, she jumps from
- 12:06Speaker 1: a table to a bar and doesn't face through the table.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Doesn't face through the bar, So which is it?
- 12:14Speaker 4: She's got these special anti phase doctor Schul's inserts in
- 12:18Speaker 4: her I mean.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Nope, yeah, sorry, Daniel? Was that your Was that your
- 12:27Speaker 1: issue as.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Well, that they would just not go through the floor,
- 12:31Speaker 3: Like that's stupid. Yeah, Brian wants to sue for mental abuse.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I don't.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I don't blame him.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, there's just there's just so much. I don't even
- 12:42Speaker 1: know where to start. And I did not take notes.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I did not have a note. I didn't I did
- 12:47Speaker 1: not do an outline because I was just I was
- 12:50Speaker 1: so tired.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Okay, So I I do have a police to start,
- 12:54Speaker 3: and what I want to start at is is where
- 12:57Speaker 3: we last saw Georgio four section thirty one the film, right,
- 13:03Speaker 3: because on Discovery we we gave the characters send off
- 13:07Speaker 3: to send her off to section thirty one. I have
- 13:10Speaker 3: that clip right now. I'm gonna show it so that
- 13:13Speaker 3: way we all have the context of what we expected
- 13:16Speaker 3: for the movie. Right, Okay, So here we go.
- 13:20Speaker 7: But you know this time through you tried for peace.
- 13:25Speaker 7: You saved a Kelpian and you didn't have to do that,
- 13:30Speaker 7: and he'll save others a lot.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Of them, So you will mm hmm, it's ready when
- 13:47Speaker 3: you are. No, I won't return to town.
- 13:52Speaker 7: Oh come on, no one said anything about sending you
- 13:54Speaker 7: back there. I'm gonna send you back to a time
- 13:57Speaker 7: when the Mirror Universe and the Prime Universe is still lined.
- 14:03Speaker 7: That's so you won't fall apart A tom what what?
- 14:09Speaker 4: What? Yeah?
- 14:11Speaker 3: So so that's where we last left off. She was
- 14:14Speaker 3: going to go somewhere back in the timeline to before
- 14:17Speaker 3: the split between our universe and the mirror universe.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Right, well, not to split. I mean, it's split back
- 14:23Speaker 1: in the twenty first century, but the diversion wasn't divergence
- 14:29Speaker 1: wasn't far enough apart to write.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, so is that how the universe works?
- 14:34Speaker 6: Is it?
- 14:34Speaker 4: At one point they were together and then they split apart?
- 14:39Speaker 4: Is that what we're saying? Is that?
- 14:40Speaker 3: Sure?
- 14:41Speaker 4: It's it's that how you get Is that how you
- 14:43Speaker 4: get versions of people?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 14:50Speaker 4: Evil versions of people?
- 14:53Speaker 1: Better?
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 4: I I have a message for this movie. I'm wearing
- 14:57Speaker 4: it on my T shirt that says, treck yourself before
- 15:02Speaker 4: you wreck yourself. That's my message to Kurtzman. Treck yourself
- 15:08Speaker 4: because you are wrecking yourself.
- 15:11Speaker 1: God. It's uh so did they give us start eight.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Do we know exactly when this is?
- 15:18Speaker 4: No? This is this is a long time ago, in
- 15:21Speaker 4: a galaxy far far away. This was Star Wars section
- 15:23Speaker 4: thirty one, Men in Black, And that's what you're forgetting No,
- 15:27Speaker 4: start eight. No, And that's that leads into another thing.
- 15:31Speaker 4: When when was this? Dan has the right question, when
- 15:36Speaker 4: was this? Does anybody care?
- 15:39Speaker 3: I saw an article about it. It's all over the map.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Oh there's my mom. What happened to your hair? Scott? Yeah?
- 15:45Speaker 4: I actually did this on purpose. I wanted to show
- 15:49Speaker 4: how disheveled that was after I watched this horrible movie.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Brian says, you watched section thirty one ten times and
- 15:56Speaker 3: that's what happened to him.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I thought another fun fact to bring up as we're
- 16:02Speaker 3: discussing this is the Rotten Tomato score. Do you want
- 16:08Speaker 3: to you guys want to guess what the score is?
- 16:10Speaker 4: I saw it, so I'm not gonna go okay, all right, it's.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Between the fans twenty four percent between the creating.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I mean, that's universally terrible.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Right, It's it's lower than it's lower than Final Frontier
- 16:23Speaker 4: and Nemesis.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Oh you know what else, it's lower than I'll show
- 16:29Speaker 3: you where is it there.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Madam Webb, No.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Morgan, Pity of Discovery? Yeah, well yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So here's all right, So I got to get some
- 16:43Speaker 1: of these thoughts out. So here's what this show, well, yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 1: all right, show I didn't call a movie. I called
- 16:48Speaker 1: this show.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a pilot show. Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Yeah, here's what it felt like. It felt like a
- 16:53Speaker 1: backdoor pilot. It totally was of Discovery. Yeah, and it
- 17:00Speaker 1: felt like a backdoor pilot that you already knew wasn't
- 17:06Speaker 1: getting picked up. Yeah, that it was just that it
- 17:09Speaker 1: was just folded back into the the show that you know,
- 17:15Speaker 1: it was supposed to be a spin off of, except
- 17:19Speaker 1: that there really wasn't anything connecting it to that other
- 17:22Speaker 1: show except Georgia. There was no Discovery, you know, not
- 17:29Speaker 1: that I'm clamoring for more Discovery, but this is a
- 17:31Speaker 1: Discovery Star Trek Discovery spinoff, and other than Her, there
- 17:35Speaker 1: was there was nothing tying it back to that show. Yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 1: There were some pool ish things that I liked. There
- 17:45Speaker 1: were some neat ideas that really don't make any sense
- 17:49Speaker 1: but were still neat ideas. The idea about the little
- 17:53Speaker 1: tiny creature that's living inside an android, that looks like
- 17:59Speaker 1: a vulcan and is driving.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Around the Man in Black.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You know it's a it's a I never saw men
- 18:06Speaker 1: in black? Is that a? Is that a thing?
- 18:09Speaker 4: What?
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah? I know?
- 18:12Speaker 3: Wow, anyway, it's actually good.
- 18:15Speaker 4: All right, it's fantastic.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I used to read about I used to read about
- 18:20Speaker 1: the real phenomenon of Men in Black. I knew what
- 18:23Speaker 1: I knew, Yes, phenomena I knew. I knew what an
- 18:30Speaker 1: M I B was. I used to read uf UFO
- 18:33Speaker 1: books and whatnot, and I knew what an M I
- 18:36Speaker 1: B was before that movie came out, and it kind
- 18:40Speaker 1: of forever changed what that meant. And so I don't know,
- 18:46Speaker 1: I just I knew it was a comedy, and I
- 18:48Speaker 1: didn't really have a desire to go see it.
- 18:50Speaker 4: But anyway, yeah, to watch it. Just watch all right,
- 18:55Speaker 4: family friend.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That idea was was was? Uh? Was was interesting. He's
- 19:03Speaker 1: essentially driving an android around. The problem is again again
- 19:09Speaker 1: they are taking cannon and just throwing it in the garbage.
- 19:13Speaker 1: This is the twenty third century, okay, and this this
- 19:17Speaker 1: microscopic guy is driving around an android that he can
- 19:22Speaker 1: put on autopilot. That seems infinitely more sophisticated than data
- 19:26Speaker 1: who who is supposed to be top of the line
- 19:29Speaker 1: one hundred years later?
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah, so so.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Cool idea poorly executed. I did like seeing the I
- 19:40Speaker 1: can't remember his name, the comelloid.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Yep, nice reference. We haven't seen that.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Nice yep, we haven't seen them since Undiscovered Country. In
- 19:53Speaker 1: the back of my mind, I always wanted to know, like,
- 19:57Speaker 1: are they related to the to the Founders in some way?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Are they completely different? I mean they appear to be
- 20:04Speaker 1: completely different. What do they you know, what's their natural state?
- 20:09Speaker 1: What do they naturally look like? We've only seen one
- 20:12Speaker 1: other and it was what's the model's name? A moan
- 20:17Speaker 1: or a mom? Okay, and she has dark skin and
- 20:23Speaker 1: those yellow eyes. And this guy has dark skin and
- 20:27Speaker 1: those yellow eyes. So I can't help but wonder is
- 20:29Speaker 1: that his Is that his natural state?
- 20:32Speaker 3: Mm?
- 20:33Speaker 8: Hm?
- 20:33Speaker 1: So that was that was just something interesting. It was
- 20:36Speaker 1: cool to see him. And I actually like that actor.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I like that actor, I like I like that character. Yeah,
- 20:42Speaker 1: it's a shame, it's a shame. Uh he showed up
- 20:45Speaker 1: in in such a train wreck. Uh that this show
- 20:51Speaker 1: is Yeah, I don't know.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Yeah, they very clearly knew that it was a train
- 20:59Speaker 3: right because looking back at the stories that we had.
- 21:02Speaker 3: You know, Oh, it's a different type of Star Trek.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I hope the fans like it. Like they knew they
- 21:07Speaker 3: knew going in.
- 21:09Speaker 1: This this was like this was like I felt like
- 21:15Speaker 1: it was suicide Squad in the Star Trek universe. Yeah, which, why,
- 21:25Speaker 1: that's not what section That's not what Section thirty one was.
- 21:29Speaker 1: That's not what it is. This It just this doesn't
- 21:32Speaker 1: make any sense.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And they kept making they kept saying the theme was chaos, chaos, chaos,
- 21:37Speaker 4: That's not what Section thirty one is about. It's about
- 21:40Speaker 4: like like like Dan said, it's it's about very clandestine,
- 21:44Speaker 4: very very order. In fact, they have to think, you know,
- 21:47Speaker 4: nine steps ahead, right, It's it's.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Definitely maintaining the status quo.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Yeah, which is the Yeah, you took the Federation's spy
- 21:58Speaker 3: agency and you made an action movie out of it.
- 22:01Speaker 3: It's a freaking spy agency like my movie. Or political intrigue, that's.
- 22:06Speaker 1: What that's That's the other thing, you know, I know,
- 22:11Speaker 1: Michelle Yo is Chinese. Actually the what's with the kung fu?
- 22:19Speaker 1: I mean, come on, yeah, Star Trek is not a
- 22:22Speaker 1: is not a kung fu movie, you know, And I
- 22:26Speaker 1: pay hundreds of dollars a month to go to a
- 22:28Speaker 1: place three or four times a week to you know
- 22:32Speaker 1: where karate pajamas and uh and train. So you know,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I don't think that I don't appreciate the martial arts.
- 22:41Speaker 1: But that's not what this is. That's not what this
- 22:45Speaker 1: is supposed to be.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Dan, can you tell me what this move is?
- 22:48Speaker 1: Then that's the Kirk. That is the double the double
- 22:52Speaker 1: hammer list. And she didn't do that once.
- 22:57Speaker 4: I was disappointed.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Jez when she got to show up her skills. Yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 3: that's true, she did. But Michelle, y'all, she's what sixties, Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 3: something like that.
- 23:11Speaker 4: That's you know, that's another amazing thing. She was amazing physically.
- 23:15Speaker 1: In this, in this, I mean, yeah, but you know,
- 23:17Speaker 1: I might, I might take some heat for this. I'm
- 23:20Speaker 1: sure she's a very nice lady, but she has never
- 23:24Speaker 1: done anything for me.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Oka.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope she buys a nice beach house with
- 23:34Speaker 1: the money that they paid her to make this movie.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Good for her, Good for her, go get yours.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Get that bag, baby.
- 23:43Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I like the original Suicide Squad, though this movie introduced
- 23:48Speaker 3: the characters twice, right, they showed them all in the
- 23:51Speaker 3: bar and then immediately let's go to the back room
- 23:53Speaker 3: and talk, and then we reintroduced them again. So it
- 23:58Speaker 3: even had fake needle drops where they tried to play
- 24:00Speaker 3: music where you're supposed to think it's a big song
- 24:03Speaker 3: and it isn't. And you know, just like Suicide Squad,
- 24:07Speaker 3: just like Guardians of the Galaxy, it was just ripping
- 24:10Speaker 3: off a ton of other movies and not making it
- 24:13Speaker 3: any better, not making it interesting.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Right, Well, did you notice the music the first like
- 24:18Speaker 4: two or three notes of the Yeah, and then I'm like,
- 24:26Speaker 4: that's a Klingon and then it goes a different direction.
- 24:29Speaker 1: No, no, I thought if that. No, it wasn't the Klingon.
- 24:32Speaker 1: It was the it was the borg theme from First Come.
- 24:35Speaker 9: Oh that's right, Yes, Yes, that's right, that's right, Yeah,
- 24:38Speaker 9: it was that's the that's the Klingons. Yeah, but I know,
- 24:43Speaker 9: I know exactly the riff you're talking about. Every time
- 24:45Speaker 9: I heard it, I'm like, finish the song, finish the song.
- 24:48Speaker 9: Yeah it did, and it went off and did something else.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 4: So it was very first contact.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah, very much.
- 24:55Speaker 4: So.
- 24:57Speaker 3: You know, as I was watching this thing, I remembermember
- 25:00Speaker 3: when I turned it on and I saw that it
- 25:01Speaker 3: was only ninety minutes, and immediately I thought, oh, we're
- 25:04Speaker 3: in trouble.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought the same thing.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah, And then when I started noticing all the slow
- 25:10Speaker 3: mo the introduction to the Georgio character where she's murdering
- 25:14Speaker 3: her family, right, so stupid, the.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Whole yeah, whole, that whole sequence was just dumb.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing, Okay, as somebody who's written award
- 25:23Speaker 3: winning screenplays, that's not how you introduce a character, especially
- 25:27Speaker 3: a character that that you want to like, right right,
- 25:31Speaker 3: You're gonna be like, let's let's murder everybody. And the
- 25:34Speaker 3: fact that she's even later like joking around with her
- 25:37Speaker 3: crew that, oh, I'm gonna murder all of you people
- 25:39Speaker 3: later at some point and they're all like, oh, that's silly,
- 25:42Speaker 3: silly Georgio.
- 25:44Speaker 1: What But but even the even the like even the
- 25:48Speaker 1: process to pick an empress, Yeah, pick an emperor.
- 25:53Speaker 4: You just have to win it, survivor what the hell
- 25:55Speaker 4: is that all about?
- 25:56Speaker 3: You win the Hunger Games and you get to be
- 25:57Speaker 3: the emperor.
- 25:59Speaker 1: So was that other lady the emperor before?
- 26:04Speaker 4: That's what I was wondering, And she was just that
- 26:06Speaker 4: retirement age.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I that's that's I don't get it. Was she besting out?
- 26:11Speaker 1: Is that what it is? She's got her time in
- 26:14Speaker 1: and I'm gonna cash in my latinum and and yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 1: I don't know do they have Florida And.
- 26:20Speaker 4: She's doing she's doing the calculations. She's like, well, my
- 26:23Speaker 4: roth four one k's got this in it. Okay, it's
- 26:26Speaker 4: it's time. It's yeah, go go murder your family and
- 26:30Speaker 4: and you can take over.
- 26:32Speaker 3: This movie left me with so many more questions and
- 26:34Speaker 3: answers at the end of it, except the questions.
- 26:37Speaker 1: That that you don't want then don't want it, that
- 26:39Speaker 1: I don't want the answers to exactly.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like the Godsend device, Like okay.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Again, I just kept thinking of Nemesis, like the romulant
- 26:51Speaker 4: weapon that he came up with. Yeah, like oh Stalron
- 26:55Speaker 4: no whatever it was.
- 26:56Speaker 1: It's so stupid, you know, the the God's Send or
- 27:01Speaker 1: God's End, right I did. I did chuckle at that.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but I did too.
- 27:08Speaker 3: It's it's out of place, yeah, very much.
- 27:11Speaker 4: So.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Yeah, pick a direction, Yeah, I take a direction. We
- 27:18Speaker 3: have a voicemail that we can play right now about
- 27:21Speaker 3: someone else's review. We can wait for feedback or I
- 27:26Speaker 3: mean it kind of fits right now on their review
- 27:29Speaker 3: section thirty one.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Is it the one I heard? The one? Is the
- 27:31Speaker 1: one I'm thinking of?
- 27:32Speaker 3: The one you sent me? Yes?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very special.
- 27:35Speaker 3: It's very special.
- 27:36Speaker 1: So I think people people are going to be excited
- 27:38Speaker 1: to hear this.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Okay, let's let's play this review. It's a little bit long,
- 27:41Speaker 3: but it'll go through it, So let's play it.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Guys.
- 27:46Speaker 8: Chad Waldo, longtime listener, first time caller, I'm calling to
- 27:51Speaker 8: give you guys my quick reaction and review to Star
- 27:54Speaker 8: Trek section thirty one, starring Philip Georgio back his Empress
- 28:01Speaker 8: sort of kind of. I literally just finished watching it.
- 28:05Speaker 8: It's about nine thirty on a Saturday night. I really,
- 28:11Speaker 8: I'm still questioning what the hell I just watched. Honestly,
- 28:15Speaker 8: it wasn't Star Trek. I mean, was it an interesting
- 28:18Speaker 8: kind of B level sci fi movie?
- 28:21Speaker 7: Sure?
- 28:22Speaker 3: I mean no, it was.
- 28:24Speaker 8: If you took out the fact that there was some
- 28:26Speaker 8: sort of guy walking around in a mechs suit that
- 28:29Speaker 8: killed himself sort of, and then a guy in a
- 28:32Speaker 8: vulcan also mech suit that was controlling it the other
- 28:37Speaker 8: dude to kill himself. Like, there's just a lot of
- 28:40Speaker 8: mechs in this movie. And I'm kind of wondering if
- 28:44Speaker 8: anybody at Paramount did any screen whatsoever. And I'm willing
- 28:48Speaker 8: to bet. Actually, when they gave the pitch or the
- 28:52Speaker 8: idea to have PHILIPA Georgia come back and do this
- 28:57Speaker 8: whole you know, this whole thing, someone just said to
- 29:03Speaker 8: the script writers star Trek section thirty one mission impossible,
- 29:08Speaker 8: some kung fu, go for it, and that was it.
- 29:13Speaker 8: They did, know, like, those people who wrote the script
- 29:18Speaker 8: probably never even heard of Star Trek, honestly, because nothing
- 29:21Speaker 8: looked like Star Trek, nothing acted like actually it did.
- 29:24Speaker 8: I'm sorry, I back up. I apologize this looked and
- 29:27Speaker 8: felt like Discovery. So I mean, from that standpoint, sure
- 29:31Speaker 8: it was. It was Star Trek. I mean there was
- 29:33Speaker 8: literally I don't know when the hell this took place.
- 29:36Speaker 8: I really nobody knows, because yeah, there's no way to
- 29:41Speaker 8: know when the hell this took place. But they had
- 29:43Speaker 8: programmable matter. I mean I could see the ships like
- 29:45Speaker 8: matter and everything moving around and doing whatever they hel wanted.
- 29:48Speaker 8: And suddenly Georgio had some sort of dragon tail at
- 29:51Speaker 8: one point, and programmable matter there too, and you know,
- 29:55Speaker 8: just was banging stuff all over the place ships that
- 29:57Speaker 8: have these weird little rings on them that then at
- 29:59Speaker 8: the end of the movie just fold out of the
- 30:01Speaker 8: way and there's your warp drive and boom, off you go.
- 30:05Speaker 8: You know, just magical stuff, right, just like Discovery. Just
- 30:09Speaker 8: like Discovery. I don't think Paramounts learned their lesson at all.
- 30:13Speaker 8: At one bit, one bit, not one bit at all.
- 30:17Speaker 8: So I was kind of waiting though, for the laughing.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Vulcan to just be a romulin.
- 30:21Speaker 8: But you know, they messed that up too.
- 30:23Speaker 1: They couldn't get that right, probably.
- 30:25Speaker 8: Because they didn't realize that romulins from the north have
- 30:29Speaker 8: the smooth foreheads and so they could have used that
- 30:32Speaker 8: instead of a ridge. You know, they could have played
- 30:34Speaker 8: that off, but they probably forgot all about that because
- 30:37Speaker 8: who does research rights, I mean, even into your own
- 30:41Speaker 8: shit you wrote anyway, So I can't say that I
- 30:45Speaker 8: miss Discovery at all, and I can't say that I'll
- 30:48Speaker 8: ever think about this movie ever again. Looking forward to
- 30:52Speaker 8: extrange New Worlds. Hope you guys are all having fun,
- 30:55Speaker 8: and I'm sure I'll talk to you all at some
- 30:57Speaker 8: point soon. Take care.
- 31:01Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 31:03Speaker 1: That was that was nice to hear.
- 31:04Speaker 3: That was nice.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, been too long, too long, But.
- 31:09Speaker 4: I let him have I let him have a burder
- 31:11Speaker 4: phone for five minutes for help. Yeah, yeah, you'd rather
- 31:18Speaker 4: call it this.
- 31:19Speaker 3: It's like you get one call.
- 31:20Speaker 4: You can either call nine one one or you can
- 31:22Speaker 4: call it at the show.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Yeah, he called it the show.
- 31:25Speaker 5: He called it the show.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That's why it was audio. It was audio only. If
- 31:28Speaker 1: it was he could have blanked the message. Yeah, yeah, yeah, help.
- 31:35Speaker 4: No, that was really good to hear from.
- 31:37Speaker 1: It really was.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:40Speaker 3: But oh man, man, this movie. I kept thinking, Okay,
- 31:45Speaker 3: what would I do differently if if I was given
- 31:47Speaker 3: the reins? Do you guys, like, what would you do
- 31:50Speaker 3: with it?
- 31:52Speaker 4: It's like there was anything that's horrible. You you just
- 31:55Speaker 4: look at what direction they went, what decisions they made,
- 31:58Speaker 4: and you just do the opposite.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Well, maybe we should say that as a show topic
- 32:02Speaker 3: and do our pitches for section thirty one, and then yeah,
- 32:06Speaker 3: well let's do that that way we can.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Fin I like that. We did have predictions, did we not?
- 32:10Speaker 3: We did? I was about to get to that. Yes, okay, okay,
- 32:13Speaker 3: let me pull them up right now. We have a
- 32:16Speaker 3: few predictions, and a couple of them are already answered.
- 32:20Speaker 3: I didn't want to answer a couple of them because
- 32:22Speaker 3: I wanted to get a consensus on this, so we'll
- 32:25Speaker 3: go through them first. One, it's better than Discovery? Do
- 32:29Speaker 3: we think it was better than Discovery or not?
- 32:32Speaker 1: It's not rotten tomatoes rotten tomatoes?
- 32:37Speaker 4: Well, there you go. I mean, if we that's that's
- 32:39Speaker 4: about as objective as we can get. Yeah.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I kind of feel like it's not better than Discovery
- 32:44Speaker 3: at all. I think it's on the same level. I
- 32:46Speaker 3: don't think it's worse or better. I think I think
- 32:50Speaker 3: it's about the same.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Yeah, well that wash.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a section there's a strange New World's reference.
- 32:59Speaker 3: So Scott was the only one that said unlikely. Dan
- 33:04Speaker 3: and I both said likely. There wasn't any so yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 3: then a new character goes on to start Fleet Academy
- 33:12Speaker 3: the Academy show. Dan was the only one who said unlikely.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Nobody did just more murder, you know murder. Yeah, there
- 33:22Speaker 3: was an n or mid credit scene. Honestly, I turned
- 33:26Speaker 3: it off. I didn't I didn't even care.
- 33:27Speaker 4: I couldn't get it to play all the way through
- 33:31Speaker 4: watching it on my TV, But on my rewatch this
- 33:33Speaker 4: morning I was able to on my mobile Advice I
- 33:35Speaker 4: was able to get there was nothing at the end.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Okay, so okay, so yeah, so you got that one right, Scott. Unlikely?
- 33:43Speaker 3: Uh Georgio dies. You guys both said it was unlikely.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I was.
- 33:48Speaker 3: I did so bad on this. I did so bad. Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 3: she did not die. She she's still around right around.
- 33:56Speaker 3: The movie centers around a mystery. Not really, it's it's
- 34:00Speaker 3: more of a a guffin, like they gotta go get
- 34:02Speaker 3: the weapon and stop.
- 34:03Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. It's a wash. We all pick the
- 34:05Speaker 1: same thing.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yeah, Ash Tyler returns. He did not. No, I mean yeah,
- 34:15Speaker 3: the disco Klingon's return. They didn't. Also, Scott got that
- 34:20Speaker 3: one right. Unlikely. Michael Burnham returns. I am shocked they
- 34:25Speaker 3: did not do this. Yeah, I'm really shocked they did
- 34:29Speaker 3: not do this. She did not return. So Scott's the
- 34:31Speaker 3: only one who got that one right. And then it's
- 34:34Speaker 3: actually pretty good it is. Yeah, so I literally got
- 34:41Speaker 3: every single one of these wrong, which is amazing.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I got quite a few wrong too, but I'm it's
- 34:51Speaker 1: very small on my screen. Who who came out on top?
- 34:55Speaker 4: Oh we're not keeping score, are we? Who did come
- 34:57Speaker 4: out on top?
- 34:58Speaker 1: We always we always keep scoring always Scott One. We
- 35:03Speaker 1: don't keep score, we just keep congratulations like.
- 35:14Speaker 4: The Academy.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So that's another thing. Okay, So it starts with starts
- 35:22Speaker 1: with eating I ball starts it's yes, wow.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Did everybody like that?
- 35:28Speaker 3: They called her space hitler?
- 35:30Speaker 1: Yeah? Wow. So it starts with a message from Control, right.
- 35:37Speaker 1: I thought Control wasn't a thing anymore. I thought Control
- 35:40Speaker 1: was was destroyed. Yeah, And then and then in the
- 35:47Speaker 1: end it ends with a message from Control and it's
- 35:51Speaker 1: a video message or a hallow message whatever. And it's Jamie.
- 35:57Speaker 1: It's Jamie Lee Curtis.
- 36:00Speaker 4: That was my bottom bread of my compliment sandwich. Jamie
- 36:04Speaker 4: Lee Curtis makes a cameo.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Was it the was it the butt of the breads?
- 36:08Speaker 1: Because I mean, what did that end? Why not? Why not?
- 36:11Speaker 4: It's Jamie Lee Curtis.
- 36:13Speaker 3: So I know about this because I have a few
- 36:16Speaker 3: articles up.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Apparently it's like they put the feelers out and they were, hey,
- 36:21Speaker 1: is there anybody famous who wants to be in Star Trek?
- 36:23Speaker 1: And Jamie Lee Curtis was like, sure, I'll be in.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Stark almost but not quite so. MICHELLEYO and Jamie Lee
- 36:31Speaker 3: Curtis worked together on everything everywhere, all at once and
- 36:35Speaker 3: they became really good friends. And so they were kicking
- 36:38Speaker 3: around who were they gonna they wanted a cameo at
- 36:40Speaker 3: the end, and MICHELLEYO was like, oh, I could probably
- 36:43Speaker 3: get Jamie Lee Curtis and they're like really. So she
- 36:46Speaker 3: texts Jamie Lee and Jamie's like, yeah, I'm down. It's fine.
- 36:50Speaker 3: So that's how they got her.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Jamie Lee was like, do I get to be a Jedi?
- 36:55Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, God, that's you know, that brings up do
- 37:04Speaker 4: you want to be a Jedi? That brings up a
- 37:05Speaker 4: note that I had with this, And it's a parallel
- 37:12Speaker 4: of some of the Star Wars series that some people
- 37:14Speaker 4: have a problem with the series that don't have you know,
- 37:19Speaker 4: lightsabers and Jedi. This felt like Star Trek without the
- 37:23Speaker 4: Star Trek equivalent of Lightsabers and jedis yep, if that
- 37:27Speaker 4: makes any sense, yep, yes, yeah, it was missing. The
- 37:36Speaker 4: Star Trek movie was missing Star Trek. That's why it
- 37:41Speaker 4: felt so off.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody put because I had posted on social media
- 37:46Speaker 3: give us your reviews on this, and somebody put section
- 37:49Speaker 3: thirty one should have been and or and we got solo.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I don't know, like Solo.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Solo is actually kind of entertaining either, but.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Solo is probably other than Rogue one. Solo is probably
- 38:12Speaker 1: my favorite of the new Star Wars movies.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it's actually kind of fun.
- 38:17Speaker 4: It was in the sense that it was Star Trek
- 38:20Speaker 4: that didn't have the things that most Star Trek fans
- 38:23Speaker 4: wanted in it.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, and it was the but it's but
- 38:31Speaker 3: it's also okay.
- 38:32Speaker 1: So here's the thing. Yeah, section Okay, Section thirty one
- 38:37Speaker 1: is not Star Trek. I get that. The thing, the
- 38:40Speaker 1: things that that organization does is not classic Star.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Trek and the real questions, but this section then better
- 38:50Speaker 3: than Acolyte.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Oh, let me, let me finish this. This story is
- 38:56Speaker 1: not section thirty one. Though we've seen Section thirty one
- 39:00Speaker 1: tons of time, tons of times on Deep Space nine,
- 39:03Speaker 1: and this story is not what that is. Right, So
- 39:07Speaker 1: it's not only that it's not Star Trek, it's not
- 39:09Speaker 1: section thirty one.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Correct, because Section thirty one in Deep Face nine is
- 39:15Speaker 4: still Star Trek. We can feel it.
- 39:17Speaker 3: It's yes, yes, well, Section thirty one and in Deep
- 39:20Speaker 3: Space nine was not something to be praised. They actively
- 39:24Speaker 3: were trying to stop it, right, It was a problem.
- 39:28Speaker 3: You know.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Well, that goes back to the inconsistencies with New Trek.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Also in Deep Space nine, section thirty one was a
- 39:37Speaker 1: thing that no one even knew existed, right, and then
- 39:43Speaker 1: they somehow retconned it earlier in the timeline. It's it's
- 39:47Speaker 1: a division of Starfleet that everyone's aware of it, but
- 39:49Speaker 1: the super Cia.
- 39:52Speaker 4: It's like agents the Shield riding around in cars that
- 39:55Speaker 4: have the emblem on the side.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Yeah, like, wait a minute, Okay, we've ripped this thing
- 40:03Speaker 3: to shreds. It's god awful. But I feel like we
- 40:06Speaker 3: should do what we normally do when we hate something,
- 40:08Speaker 3: say one nice thing about it.
- 40:10Speaker 1: That's over.
- 40:12Speaker 4: I've had a couple of nice things. I like the
- 40:14Speaker 4: I like the fight, I like Jamie Lee Curtis, uh,
- 40:17Speaker 4: the technic everything felt star Wars though. Yeah, and I'm
- 40:21Speaker 4: gonna try to turn this into a compliment. The what
- 40:24Speaker 4: I call a technical tap when she kicks the engine,
- 40:28Speaker 4: the you know, the engine to get it to start
- 40:30Speaker 4: again was very reminiscent of when Harrison Ford danged on
- 40:35Speaker 4: the Millennium Falcon and got it to turn on more.
- 40:40Speaker 1: It was more it was more Fonsie than sorry.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Yeah right. The drugs at the beginning. I don't I
- 40:49Speaker 4: don't like drugs in.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 40:53Speaker 4: We've we've we've had we've had episodes of Trek, good
- 40:56Speaker 4: episodes of Trek that dealt with drugs and addiction and
- 40:59Speaker 4: stuff like that. It felt weird here. There was no
- 41:02Speaker 4: negative connotation to these drugs. They were taken video game drugs, right,
- 41:06Speaker 4: it was, and it was reminiscent of spice in the
- 41:09Speaker 4: Star Wars universe. The black and White dude. It's only
- 41:14Speaker 4: been referenced, I think once. I don't think we've gotten
- 41:17Speaker 4: to that episode in my rewatch of the original series.
- 41:23Speaker 4: He I don't know, I don't like the way that
- 41:24Speaker 4: they portrayed him. Yeah, you know, I don't know. The
- 41:29Speaker 4: cantena that she owns on mass Isley was, you know, weird,
- 41:35Speaker 4: But it was visually, and we said this about Discovery. Visually,
- 41:40Speaker 4: it was amazing. The cinematography I thought was decent. There
- 41:45Speaker 4: was a point in one of the fight scenes that
- 41:48Speaker 4: I took note of where a character gets flip, gets
- 41:52Speaker 4: thrown and flipped in the air, and the camera actually
- 41:56Speaker 4: followed the flip. Okay, so I thought that was a
- 42:00Speaker 4: really cool camera move. I liked it.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say, for my thing that that I liked. Okay,
- 42:07Speaker 3: this guy, the big dumb robot guy. I remember seeing
- 42:11Speaker 3: the pictures of him early and I'm like, oh, that's
- 42:13Speaker 3: a big dumb robot guy. What are they gonna do
- 42:15Speaker 3: with him? And he literally was a big dumb robot guy. Yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 3: And I was like, all right, at least they know, Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 3: he's just a big dumb robot guy.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Great.
- 42:25Speaker 4: I like the Alien Teddy Rucksman. Yes, Dan did not
- 42:31Speaker 4: like the Alien Rucksman, but.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Uh yeah, yeah that was dumb too.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Just that, Yeah, it was. It was dumb. I I yeah,
- 42:45Speaker 4: I'm trying to like it. I really have tried to
- 42:47Speaker 4: like it. But the fact that it's power reactor.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Yeah, is that supposed to be a borg?
- 42:54Speaker 4: No?
- 42:55Speaker 3: No, he is supposed to be a guy who's obsessed
- 42:57Speaker 3: to wearing a Max suit. That's it. He just wears
- 42:59Speaker 3: a Max suit all the time.
- 43:00Speaker 4: He's the type of guy that would be they would
- 43:02Speaker 4: volunteer to be assimilated.
- 43:05Speaker 3: He's he's the guy who wears affliction T shirts and
- 43:07Speaker 3: goes and gets every monster at the convenience store.
- 43:10Speaker 1: So so here's here's the thing. If you want to
- 43:13Speaker 1: work for the government, Yeah, there are psychological exams, right,
- 43:20Speaker 1: they don't just hire anybody. Just this guy thinks he
- 43:25Speaker 1: is the suit, right. He references that multiple times. You
- 43:29Speaker 1: talk about the suit, you're talking about me, you know,
- 43:32Speaker 1: me and me in the suit or what. Okay, he's
- 43:34Speaker 1: bat shit crazy. How is this guy in government service?
- 43:38Speaker 1: It's bat ship crazy.
- 43:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Tony Stark, he's like a really poor man's Tony Stark.
- 43:47Speaker 4: The suit made.
- 43:49Speaker 3: This guy just bought it somewhere.
- 43:50Speaker 4: He just bought it.
- 43:52Speaker 3: He bought it somewhere in a in a communism that.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Doesn't cashless, cashless society. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I don't know. My good my one good thing I
- 44:05Speaker 1: will say. The comelloid character I enjoyed. I enjoyed.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they did some interesting stuff with him.
- 44:12Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, are we done with the nice stuff?
- 44:15Speaker 4: Can I say something else that I didn't? Yeah, go ahead,
- 44:18Speaker 4: speaking so section, So they brought Giorgio. We played the
- 44:22Speaker 4: clip of brass mean cis Or from CSI bringing her
- 44:28Speaker 4: the Guardian, bringing her to wherever, and then they say
- 44:32Speaker 4: and then the main guy and this movie says, oh
- 44:34Speaker 4: we lot, we we brought you back, but then we
- 44:36Speaker 4: lost track of you, Section thirty one lost track of somebody,
- 44:40Speaker 4: yeah and four no.
- 44:41Speaker 1: No, no no, you misunderstood that the lost track part
- 44:45Speaker 1: was when she went to the future with Discovery. She
- 44:49Speaker 1: was working for Section thirty one went to the picture
- 44:52Speaker 1: with Discovery.
- 44:53Speaker 4: That's when I lost track.
- 44:55Speaker 1: That's when they lost track of her. And then the
- 44:57Speaker 1: Guardian sent her back and she pops up on the radar,
- 45:01Speaker 1: So she disappeared for a little while, right.
- 45:04Speaker 4: And that leads me to my next question is I've
- 45:06Speaker 4: been trying to figure out the timeline for this because
- 45:09Speaker 4: the only anchor point we have for a timeline is
- 45:12Speaker 4: Rachel Garrett. We all know that that Lieutenant Garrett is
- 45:15Speaker 4: the one that becomes the captain of the Enterprise seep
- 45:19Speaker 4: who Yesterday's Enterprise, right, And she's like a woman in
- 45:23Speaker 4: her fifties there, and she's about in her early to
- 45:26Speaker 4: mid thirties in this movie, so she's about twenty years
- 45:29Speaker 4: away from that. And you have to do a little
- 45:30Speaker 4: bit of research to figure out when that ship went
- 45:33Speaker 4: into that anomaly and had the episode Yesterday's Enterprise. So
- 45:38Speaker 4: it looks to be about the like what the twenty
- 45:41Speaker 4: three twenties.
- 45:44Speaker 3: Maybe you know that you bring up Rachel Garrett actually
- 45:49Speaker 3: brings up a point and I wanted to make so
- 45:53Speaker 3: they bring her in because she's supposed to be essentially
- 45:56Speaker 3: the the federation representative on this team, right, she's the
- 46:01Speaker 3: one who says, oh, you can't do those things because
- 46:03Speaker 3: we're the federation, blah blah blah, right, shaking her finger.
- 46:07Speaker 3: But there's a point, And to me, it felt like
- 46:10Speaker 3: this was the writers saying how they really felt about
- 46:15Speaker 3: Star Trek and the philosophy behind it. Because she talks
- 46:20Speaker 3: about you you can't murder anybody. I'm here to make
- 46:22Speaker 3: sure that we're all in line with the protocols. And
- 46:25Speaker 3: then Michelle Yo responds with, oh, so you're the no
- 46:28Speaker 3: Fun Police or something like that, right.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Yeah, where fund goes to die, where fun goes to die,
- 46:34Speaker 1: which is which is what they referenced in in Strange
- 46:38Speaker 1: New Worlds. That's how they describe number one. That's how
- 46:40Speaker 1: the crude describes.
- 46:41Speaker 3: Her, right, the one who follows the rules. So that's
- 46:44Speaker 3: what makes me go, oh, they really don't like any
- 46:47Speaker 3: of this stuff. They just want to make it whatever
- 46:49Speaker 3: it is, whatever they want it to be.
- 46:52Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, I don't know, it's.
- 46:59Speaker 4: They need to have of a real life scene where
- 47:02Speaker 4: Kurtzman just goes up to Jonathan Frakes and says, here's
- 47:08Speaker 4: the command codes. I have failed. I have failed at
- 47:12Speaker 4: what I've done, just.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Just gives them that big ring of keys that the
- 47:16Speaker 1: janitor has.
- 47:17Speaker 4: Like here you go, here you go, and just says
- 47:20Speaker 4: computer transfer all command codes to Jonathan Frakes.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Yeah, or Terry medallisas yeah, one of those.
- 47:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 47:30Speaker 1: But so I'm really you know what really put it
- 47:35Speaker 1: in perspective for me's you know, there's a lot of
- 47:39Speaker 1: New Star Trek that I really don't enjoy. You guys
- 47:42Speaker 1: know that, Yeah, but when they do it right, I
- 47:47Speaker 1: give them props that they've that they've done it right.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And you know when you watch Paramount Plus, when when
- 47:54Speaker 1: something ends, it will automatically start playing something for you
- 47:59Speaker 1: that it thinks that it thinks you want to watch.
- 48:01Speaker 1: And I don't know what it auto played for you guys,
- 48:06Speaker 1: but for me, it auto played the episode of Strange
- 48:10Speaker 1: New Worlds where Lone goes back to uh, she's in
- 48:16Speaker 1: the twenty first century. Oh yeah, Kirk with Kirk with
- 48:21Speaker 1: alternate Kirk in Canada, and I watched the episode and
- 48:28Speaker 1: I was like, this is good, Star Trek they can
- 48:31Speaker 1: still do it. Why won't they just do it?
- 48:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 48:36Speaker 4: Interesting? It auto played Star Trek jj abrams Star Trek one.
- 48:42Speaker 3: For me on my first part A different one.
- 48:44Speaker 4: And Star Trek jj abrams Star Trek three on my rewatch.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so it knows. So it the algorithm knows that
- 48:55Speaker 1: it's the darkness sucks that.
- 48:56Speaker 3: You said, Yeah pretty much for me for me an
- 49:00Speaker 3: auto play Discovery.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Sorry, buddy, they can all be winners.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Yeah, well we've got and why why why did the
- 49:16Speaker 4: Vulcan have an Irish accent?
- 49:20Speaker 3: That part of a Vulcan?
- 49:22Speaker 4: Okay? Then why did the Little Men in Black alien? Dude?
- 49:25Speaker 4: Why did he have an Irish accent?
- 49:28Speaker 1: Because his last mech suit was Irish?
- 49:31Speaker 3: I don't know, because whoever's the casting director is obsessed
- 49:35Speaker 3: with Irish people.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Yeah, so the Irish non Vulcan.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Yeah all right, well let's get the listener feedback. We've
- 49:48Speaker 3: got some some feedback.
- 49:50Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 49:54Speaker 5: Listener feedback.
- 49:57Speaker 3: All right, we do have Jazzmas on the line, but
- 50:00Speaker 3: before we get to him, we did get another voicemail. Okay,
- 50:04Speaker 3: so apparently people are still talking about the voting that
- 50:09Speaker 3: we did are a bigger words and.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Uh, my lawyers have told me that I'm not to
- 50:14Speaker 4: say anything about that.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to bring this in and a little
- 50:18Speaker 3: bit of a Palo Crenser before we get to the
- 50:20Speaker 3: other feedback.
- 50:21Speaker 4: So here we go, Hello truck cast.
- 50:25Speaker 6: I want to congratulate Scott Bouders for winning best Beard.
- 50:28Speaker 6: Scott has the strongest, the greatest, the best beard. There's
- 50:32Speaker 6: no other beard like his. Don't be a loser like that,
- 50:35Speaker 6: Dan Lombardo, be a winner like Scott.
- 50:42Speaker 3: So there you go. Wow, the little Caesars guy really
- 50:47Speaker 3: really love.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you.
- 50:50Speaker 3: H Yeah.
- 50:52Speaker 1: So was that a cameo? How much did you pay
- 50:54Speaker 1: for that?
- 50:58Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 50:58Speaker 1: It just came in And that's fine. That's fine. Next
- 51:01Speaker 1: week I'll have Ernie Hudson on here.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Just for the record, that was not me in any way,
- 51:09Speaker 4: shape or form. I don't know.
- 51:12Speaker 3: That's what it would sound. That's somebody's lying, would say.
- 51:15Speaker 4: So I'm just saying that was not me.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. So I did put all over social media
- 51:23Speaker 3: what people's thoughts on the section thirty one film. Overall,
- 51:26Speaker 3: most people did not like it. The amount of people
- 51:28Speaker 3: who said I wanted to love it, and I just didn't.
- 51:31Speaker 3: It's awful. Yeah, the very few people that actually said
- 51:35Speaker 3: they loved it, but most people were like, it's just generic,
- 51:40Speaker 3: there's nothing to this thing.
- 51:42Speaker 1: So I said earlier that I kind of sort of
- 51:45Speaker 1: watched it twice. Yeah, So it came out like three
- 51:49Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning Friday morning on the on the
- 51:51Speaker 1: East Coast. So I was so eager to watch it. Wow,
- 51:57Speaker 1: I that I listened to it on my drive to work.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Oh listen. I listened to the first half, and I
- 52:05Speaker 1: listened to the most of the second half. I didn't
- 52:08Speaker 1: get to listen to the to the ending. And then
- 52:13Speaker 1: yesterday I was going to watch the ending, and I said,
- 52:15Speaker 1: you know what, let me go back and just started
- 52:19Speaker 1: over and watch the whole thing. And it looked as
- 52:27Speaker 1: bad as it sounded.
- 52:28Speaker 3: I guess, yeah, I'm.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I don't know where else going with that. But you know,
- 52:33Speaker 1: I kind of watched it twice. I listened to it once,
- 52:36Speaker 1: fully watched it once.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Right now, Aaron Over in the Instagram chat said section
- 52:44Speaker 3: thirty one was disappointing. I wasn't sure what I was watching.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was very disappointing. It was very disappointing.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I also felt it was weird that I don't
- 52:55Speaker 3: know what happened between sections one and thirty thirty one,
- 52:58Speaker 3: Like where are those stories?
- 53:02Speaker 4: I'm assuming it's like, you know, the reason why they
- 53:05Speaker 4: call it a four oh one k is because section
- 53:07Speaker 4: four O one.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Yes, that's right of the.
- 53:10Speaker 4: So I'm assuming that section one, two three, You know,
- 53:13Speaker 4: section is just part of the Federation Charter, the original
- 53:17Speaker 4: Bill of Rights of the Charter of the Federation. So yeah,
- 53:19Speaker 4: I would imagine section one is probably the prime directive.
- 53:24Speaker 1: But at the same time, you know, the Oceans movies
- 53:30Speaker 1: one through ten were terrible.
- 53:32Speaker 3: That's true.
- 53:33Speaker 1: You could really start with Ocean.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Ocean's one was just like his nephew back in the
- 53:40Speaker 4: fifties knocking over a liquor store, and that it just
- 53:42Speaker 4: goes out for that.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Oh man, all right, well, we got Jazma's on the line.
- 53:47Speaker 3: Poor guy's been waiting a while, so let me bring
- 53:49Speaker 3: them in. Jazmins, there you are. Hello, Hey, I loved it, right,
- 53:55Speaker 3: you love section thirty one.
- 53:57Speaker 5: And yeah that was awful. Yeah, I mean it was
- 54:01Speaker 5: bargain bind Walmart dollar DBDA, whoa, whoa.
- 54:06Speaker 1: Whoa is that the Godsend hanging from the ceiling in
- 54:09Speaker 1: your living Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 5: Well that got the mcguffin. The mcguffin's right there.
- 54:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah for the University.
- 54:19Speaker 5: Jj A Brooms, Alex Kirtman, you know those guys like
- 54:23Speaker 5: destroy all franchises that you know, they teamed up with
- 54:27Speaker 5: Kathleen Kennedy and destroyed Star Wars and they now destroyed
- 54:32Speaker 5: Star Trek and don't let them touch any of the
- 54:36Speaker 5: DC or Marvel or that's over too.
- 54:40Speaker 3: I mean to be fair, they didn't do their usual
- 54:43Speaker 3: tropes of magic blood or mysteries of the mind.
- 54:46Speaker 5: Well that's probably what they That's probably what they had
- 54:49Speaker 5: edited out. That's why it's only ninety minutes.
- 54:51Speaker 4: They probably had no crystals.
- 54:54Speaker 5: There's there's probably over two hours and they're like, oh,
- 54:57Speaker 5: this is awful, so let's take this whole part out.
- 54:59Speaker 4: So yeah, I can't wait till the sequel comes out.
- 55:03Speaker 5: Did you guys have a hard time at the very
- 55:05Speaker 5: beginning with young Georgio like understanding her whispering? You know,
- 55:12Speaker 5: I had a hard time with the audio.
- 55:15Speaker 3: I have a problem with that.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Oh, understanding her, like literally understanding I thought you were
- 55:20Speaker 4: like yeah, because she was like.
- 55:21Speaker 5: She was talking like trying to listen to you, but
- 55:23Speaker 5: you're like kind of whispering here.
- 55:26Speaker 3: So a waiting game. Is Paramount not hear any of
- 55:29Speaker 3: the negative feedback about Kurtsman or do they just think
- 55:31Speaker 3: he's doing a good job. That's a great question.
- 55:34Speaker 4: They don't have any communication. There's no way, there's no
- 55:37Speaker 4: possible way that uh, they can get any feedback. They
- 55:41Speaker 4: they lack telephones, computers, things of that nature that let
- 55:46Speaker 4: you communicate, you know, how we feel, how other people feel,
- 55:52Speaker 4: how executives feel.
- 55:53Speaker 3: I feel like they write it off like just oh,
- 55:56Speaker 3: those are negative fans on the internet. Don't pay attention
- 55:58Speaker 3: to them, and that's it, you know.
- 56:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I know. Paramount like purposely blocked Robert meyer Burnette
- 56:05Speaker 5: on Twitter, like you can't comment on their pages because
- 56:09Speaker 5: Robert meyer Burnette he's a guy on YouTube.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a he's a film producer who is very
- 56:16Speaker 3: much a Star Trek fan and into it, Yeah, and
- 56:20Speaker 3: rips into it all the time. He's also produced a
- 56:22Speaker 3: couple of Star Trek documentaries. Yeah, I forget which ones.
- 56:25Speaker 5: So yeah, yeah, and he's he's really good. If you
- 56:29Speaker 5: ever listened to him on the internet, and he ripped
- 56:31Speaker 5: into him pretty.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Good, paramount, you're ready to block me?
- 56:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:38Speaker 5: It's like, did they not watch any like who directed
- 56:41Speaker 5: this thing?
- 56:43Speaker 7: Oh?
- 56:43Speaker 3: It was one of the directors from Discovery.
- 56:45Speaker 5: I forget about it. It's like you had Jonathan Frakes,
- 56:50Speaker 5: she had all these other people that directed things.
- 56:53Speaker 3: I was like, the directing was not directing was not
- 56:56Speaker 3: the problem.
- 56:57Speaker 5: Well, probably could have seen, like is writing ship, let's
- 57:02Speaker 5: retold this stuff, you know, because I think Jonathan Franks
- 57:06Speaker 5: would have been like, Nah, this is kind of bad.
- 57:08Speaker 5: We need to retold this.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I think we're gonna do a show about what
- 57:11Speaker 3: we would do to make it better. And yeah, I
- 57:14Speaker 3: think that'll be fun. It'll be our pitch.
- 57:17Speaker 4: Oh I'm not eve gonna try to pronounce the director's name.
- 57:20Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, a lot today.
- 57:25Speaker 4: Oh soon, so I could do with my sure ugly American.
- 57:36Speaker 5: And the god you know, they couldn't remember if it's
- 57:39Speaker 5: the God's in or the gods send you know. They
- 57:42Speaker 5: had that little joke.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I get they wanted to have a little bit
- 57:44Speaker 4: of humor in there.
- 57:46Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, and this this that kind of reminded me,
- 57:51Speaker 5: like the casino reminded me of the set from Discovery.
- 57:57Speaker 5: With the Brain on the Brain Ship.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well that's what they do, is they repurpose
- 58:02Speaker 3: other elements.
- 58:02Speaker 5: Yeah, almost reminded me of the breen Ship.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I read a review. I'm gonna put it in the
- 58:07Speaker 3: show notes. But they went, uh, this movie is built
- 58:10Speaker 3: in like six locations at most, and it's to save money.
- 58:15Speaker 5: To spell on a Michelle Yo.
- 58:18Speaker 3: Well no they yeah, they're like, this isn't going to
- 58:23Speaker 3: be a TV show, so let's just make it as
- 58:26Speaker 3: cheap as possible and get something out there.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Oh man, yeah, oh god, so the more. Here's the thing,
- 58:35Speaker 1: here's the thing that angers me. You know, they spent
- 58:39Speaker 1: a ridiculous amount of money on this. They paid Michelle,
- 58:42Speaker 1: you know, like twelve million dollars or something for this part. Okay,
- 58:48Speaker 1: there's an entire finished Batgirl film out there, like million,
- 58:54Speaker 1: you know, even if and they they wrote it off
- 58:57Speaker 1: as a tax right off, and because of that, they're
- 58:59Speaker 1: never gonna release it, and it may be the worst
- 59:02Speaker 1: film in the world. I would rather see another thirty
- 59:06Speaker 1: minutes of Michael Keaton as Batman, just paint in his garage. Yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Then this ship, this they put out, Yeah, they take
- 59:20Speaker 1: it as a tax right off. But this this crap.
- 59:24Speaker 5: It's called money laundering. H it's called money laundrying. That
- 59:30Speaker 5: there's taking the money, paying somebody else and throwing out ship.
- 59:34Speaker 5: So it's it's how many times did you make Chad
- 59:39Speaker 5: watch it? Scott?
- 59:42Speaker 1: It was?
- 59:43Speaker 4: It's on loop, it's on repeat, watching it over and
- 59:47Speaker 4: over and over.
- 59:48Speaker 5: You let him watch it once and then you let
- 59:50Speaker 5: them call in, and now you're still watching it.
- 59:53Speaker 4: I can fact, I can. I can still hear it
- 59:55Speaker 4: downstairs playing.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that poor guy, And you didn't even share your popcorn?
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: How dare you?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: No?
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: I didn't know. I didn't. Yeah, you guys have to
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: go to Facebook. I did a pre watch sort of video,
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: and then I did yeah, and then I did a
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: post watch. I did a quick reaction.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I saw the the post and I was laughing about it.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: I watched at midnight, and then I got about forty
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: five minutes. Then I'm like, I'm going to bed my wife.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: My wife all asleep during the movie.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I did.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: I fell my youngest.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I fell asleep.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Also, I had to reach the youngest fell asleep. I
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: did nod off for about five minutes towards the end.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: Yeah, And the last bit of the movie was just
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: the chase and then with the toy.
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: You know, and yeah with Ty Teddy, the Teddy rucks
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: bin with the yeah nuclear Yeah, with the bat batteries.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: Aka the bad Chinese battery they'll explore kill your children.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it reminded me of that Voyager episode where every
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: home was powered by this really dangerous type of type
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: of power source. It was probably that same kind of
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: power source.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Like, yeah, that's so dumb. How do we stop them?
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Let's throw trash at him?
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Yeah, at least they in the in the I thought
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: it was kind of silly, but at least they made
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: fun of that fact in the dialogue too, like I'm
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: going to stop this with a trash tractor beam and
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: How do you think How quick did you guys figure
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: out that was her boyfriend?
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: That the very as soon as he showed up with
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: a mask on. Yeah, because that was and when he died,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: when he died in the flashback, it further cemented Yeah,
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: and I'm not when I watch I don't. I turned
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: my brain off when I watch stuff like this, so
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: I don't try to figure things out. You know, I'm
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: really bad at figuring out, I get tricked easy Leader
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: and watching these things and even I was like, oh,
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: it's him. And then when he dies of poisoning, I'm like, oh,
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: it's definitely him. He's definitely so is.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Was he the new emperor? Is that?
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: I don't know how their system works. Okay, she becomes
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: emperor for killing her family.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: It's like a beauty pageant. It's like miss Universe when
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: the first one, when the one dies or disappears, like.
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: The whole army on the planet as you saw, like.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: Like one their transport technology is impressive. They were coming
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: in like two hundred and fifty at a dime.
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: Yeah, you see. It's like have you ever played a
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: video game and you're laying out your armies or something
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: on computer. That's exactly how you would do. You just
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: drop them in there, drop him in there, drop him
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: in there, and it's like yeah, okay, it's a video
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: game right now.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: She's stupid.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I don't know, I just how did he go from
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: being the dead slave yeah center or anything.
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: Yeah, he's like he's just like rolling around like and
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: they had this whole elaborate plan to come to our
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: universe to go so.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: That that was Also that was also stupid, the idea that, oh,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: we've exhausted all our resources in the mirror universe, so
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: we need to explain expand into this universe. The universe
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: is infinite, right. If there's no resource, it's a pretty
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: big place. You go over here. Yeah, And if there's
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: no here, none there, you go over there. You just
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: pick a direction, pick the direction, and travel in that direction,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and and whatever you need, there's more of it over there.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Freeze yourselves for like one hundred and fifty years or so,
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: and then you'll arrive.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: You know, even if that, even if that, if you
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: can travel to other dimensions, right, why not just go
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: to an unpopulated dimension If you're gonna go exploit resources,
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: why put yourself into another war when you don't have to,
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: because they.
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: Like, just live your life on the planet and then like,
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: that's pretty cool. I joined the Federation. I don't even
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: have to work now.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: So I wonder if he had to kill his family
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: before he rose to power.
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: Yeah, he probably killed one and then he couldn't do it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: So yeah, none of that makes any sense.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: No, none of that makes any sense. You should be
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: the person this empress should just be the most powerful
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: person in the empire.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: Yeah. When I saw Kirk, I thought, you know, in
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: the Mary universe Kirk, I thought he was just a
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: badass captain and raised through the ranks. You know, right,
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: I probably killed and became captain like an enterprise.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: Uh. Sato became empress because she controlled the most powerful ship.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yep, So just how it works.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I think I figured it out. It's
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: a bad movie.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: It's a bad movie.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: It's a bad Well the music was like the music
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: was so off too.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: It's like, well, because it was cheap, generic songs.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: They didn't well at the end. I had a very
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: strong feeling at the end when they finally played the
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: dum and I was like, no, you don't deserve that, No,
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: you keep those notes out of your damn horn.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Yes, they hit them on the spray model.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: Thank you, Scott.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: You sit in the corner and think about what you did.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Not bad movie.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: Okay, does this hurt the star Trek brand?
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Oh that's that sailed?
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: I mean, this is like that we're out a gaping wound,
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: but this one's about to sever the whole arm off
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: right now.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Well, hopefully Strange New World can stoot your back.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: On Starfleet Academy or where the hell they're making. If
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: that doesn't make it, I think this is the break
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: it for Star Trek.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: Hang Out with Stranger.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: People who grew up on the original series watched TNG
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and Deep Space Nine and Voyager and Enterprise with their children.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Mm hmm okay.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: And the problem is people who grew up on TNG,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise are not watching these
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: shows with their children. So the old the old fans
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: are not bringing the next you know, generation. They're not
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: bringing the next generation into Star Trek, which means the
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: next generation watching Star Trek has to be brought in
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: by the shows themselves. And I don't think that's happening.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: No, it's not, it's clearly not.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: I think it should be syndicated on different streaming services
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: that would help it out, because that's what kind of you,
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: that's what helped out to Star Trek, you know, like
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: Next Gin it was syndicated. Yeah, people watched.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: It, but streaming is different because I don't want to
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: have to look all over God's creation to find a
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: certain episode or a certain series or a certain movie.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: Well, they're not to do something because I.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Think the problem is not access of getting it. The
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: problem is what you're accessing. It's just it's not inter
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: gaining for for audiences, right, Star, the Star Trek Empire,
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: the Star Trek Empire, which started with the original.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Seventy nine episodes, The Empire. The Empire grew on the
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: rewatchability of these shows. Okay, we got we got from
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the late sixties to the late seventies solely on the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: rewatchability of those seventy nine episodes, okay, And that carried
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: over into you know, the movies, by their nature have
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: a rewatchability to them that not all TV shows have.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: But TNG, Deep Space nine, Voyager, Enterprise rewatchability. That's what
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: has kept those popular. Yeah, for the last thirty five years.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I'm never watching Discovery ever again. I'm just not doing it.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: I am never watching I am never watching Section thirty
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: one ever again. I'm just doing it.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: And the only reason I watched was watched.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I will probably watch season three of Picard, yeah, twice
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: for every time, for every time I rewatch season one
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and two. Yes, And that's that's gotta be reflected in
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: the streaming numbers. And I don't and I don't know
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: why they don't just look at that and realize they're
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: fucking up. Yeah, stop it.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, the thing is it's not serial you know,
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: it's serialized, and it's not like it was wasn't oh
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: what do you call it when it's just one story.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: Arc episodic versus episode. But Dan, you're absolutely right. The
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: rewatchability is exactly why. Back in the in the mid
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: early to mid nineties, I recorded what I would start.
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: I would watch these episodes of Next Generation. I'd be like,
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: you know, I could watch this again, and so I
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: started recording them with my VCR. Sometimes I try to
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: get it so I could get the commercials out, and
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: I had I had an entire wall BHS S tapes too,
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: and it did the same thing for Das nine and
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: for Voyager and to some extent enterprise, and I watched them.
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: I rewatched the heck out of them.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Okay, I'll never watch I'm laughing at this comment. Per
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Card has the d rewatchability.
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: Bone's that's right.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I love.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: Season three.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: I compare Star Trek for my Dallas Cowboys, right, Dallas
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: Cowboys haven't won since the ninth and they have an
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: idiot that's controlling it, and that's what's controlling Star Trek.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I don't really watch basketball, but well you.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: Got the city that's controlling it, and he's hiring like
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: all these other idiots.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Are the Cowboys the sports team.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: Cowboys are my second least favorite football team.
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: Yes, yes, the Cowboys.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Oh, I think you're talking about actual, actual ranchers, but
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: That's not Yeah, but you know, because I also don't
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: like packers either.
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: So, and I don't know Kurtsman. Kurtsman should have kept
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: Metallists and they should have gone generations.
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: You know, they need to give the keys to Metallist
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: and the freaks. Rewatchability, Dan, You're so right, it's and
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: it's Star Trek doesn't have that. Now I'm rewatching Voyager
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: for probably the six or seventh time right now.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I watch. I watch Pluto just about every day now.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I come home from work, I I I turn on Pluto.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I go to the three Star Trek channels. Yeah, and
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: it's and I see, you know which one is, which
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: one is playing an episode that I like? And then
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I put that channel on and then it doesn't matter
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: which episode comes on next. That's the one I'm gonna watch.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Because it's just it's just it's just on and you know,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: you can't do that with Modern Trek. To some extent,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: you can do it with Strange New Worlds. I'm rewatching
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Strange New Worlds right now. For the most part, I'm
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: enjoying it. I'm really not looking forward to Academy now,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: knowing that, knowing that it's a it's a continuation of Discovery.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I'm really I'm really not excited about it. And I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: hate to say this, I don't even know if I'm
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: gonna watch it. I don't know. This this show that
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I do with you guys is really the only reason.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: You got Yeah.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: But doing this show with you guys is the only
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: reason I watched Discovery past the first season. Yeah, I
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I.
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, so is this going to be the cancelation?
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: You know, it's like, where do we go from here?
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: If it gets canceled?
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: You know, I and I wonder how much damage is done?
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: And does like Star Trek need to go away for
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: a while to give give it time to reset.
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: It's kind of like Star Wars needs to go away
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: for a while.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's Crew.
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: Was actually a decent show, but nobody watched it, right,
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: and and Disney spent a ton of money on that show,
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: but nobody watched it because Acolyte hurt it so bad. Yeah,
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: that nobody watched it, didn't care. And then they're making
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: a the next Star Wars movie. I think Mandalorian and
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: Grogu and I think that's the name of the movie,
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Mandalorian and Grogu. I was like, you don't have a
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: good title for this movie. So Mandalorian and Grogu.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: What Allegedly we're gonna get a Star Trek movie at
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: some point. They've got like three or four in the works,
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: so yeah, whatever.
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: Yeah, well, after seeing this crap, I don't want them
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: to start.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Maybe they need to put Star Trek on the show
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: for ten years. Yeah, maybe something like that.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: I'll be sixty by the time it comes out of here.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, what's our timeline for the series?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Oh? Sorry, they missed so many They missed so many opportunities.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: At the end of Picard season three, Yeah, Picard's son,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: what's his name, Jack? Yeah, joined Starfleet right, Okay, there's
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: just Starfleet Academy Show. Yeah, there's just Starfleet Academy Show. Instead, instead,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: they come up with some bullshit about him being in
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the Accelerated program and he's and he's back on this ship,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: and we're gonna we're gonna do with Starfleet Academy show.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: But it's gonna be set eight hundred years in the
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: future in a timeline that nobody gives a ship about.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: One of the characters that's so annoying. Her name's Tilly
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: that nobody cares about either.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: And I like, till, yeah, you're silly for Tilly, right.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: Dan's like, shut up.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: If they if they set okay, if they set Starfleet
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Academy in the twenty fifth century with Jack Crusher, they
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: could have twenty Newsome on the show as Mariner.
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: Yeah, yes, exactly. They did the crossover like that. I mean, hell,
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: just think all the.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Different the same time period. It's the same time period.
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: They should have done it, like yeah, in the Strange
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: New Worlds time period or the next Gym period or
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: you know, the after Next Gen, the Thecard season three period,
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: because don't do it where they have it now, like Discovery,
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: Like the Federation is so broken, so they're going to
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: make up anything in rules they can to make this
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: so and I think it's gonna hurt Star Trek even more,
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: even though you get good actors in there, like Paul
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: Giovanni in there.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I just hope that he goes I am
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: the Rhino at some point.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I was like, I hope something. I hope he
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: does something. You know, Hey, it's just w NBC or something,
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: you know.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, is uh is Hipster Spock in the waiting room?
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: Yes he is? Okay, Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, so let
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: me let me get in Jasmine. Thanks for being on
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: all right, thank you?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Yeah, good see you, buddy.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: Sorry, we were just talking to Jasmin so much. And yeah,
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: so yeah, there's Hipster Spock.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Oh guys, yeah it was up. Hey.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Hey, you know I was looking up Alex Kurtzman on Wikipedia, right, yeah, very.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Having some technical difficulties, yeah, issue, So I'm gonna bow out, okay, okay.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: And basically I think Alex Kurtzman is the p Diddy
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: of Hollywood.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: Oh god, I hope not.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: Because he's married to the to the daughter of a
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: of a lawyer who represented the studios during some strike
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: a while back. Okay, And so he's like, you know,
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: he's totally in inside the system. He's like the prince
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: of the system. Okay, So there's no way that they're
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: gonna get rid of him because his uh, his in
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: laws probably got you know, ship on the rest of
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: the the rest of the studios and whatnot.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Right, I got protection, man, I worked for Dick Jones Jones.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: That's why, no.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: Matter how how badly he fucks up, he's gonna stay
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: there because he's like he's in like flint right, right.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: So there's that's that's the thing that you know. I
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: was looking at, like, how how is he able to
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: stay there after fucking up so badly in all the
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: other tracks? And then that's the answer. He's got his
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: family's got you know, dark shit on the rest of
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: the studio system. So he's the p diddy U Hollywood.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Okay, all right, that's that's the thing.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, thank god.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: I didn't make any effort to watch the the Section
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: thirty one movie because oh.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you win, you watch it.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: I didn't even watch it. I didn't even you know.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, the day that came out, I
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: started looking at different like Twitter sentiments and uh and
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: like how the because there are always these people who
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: put out early like reviews. So I start watching him
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: like Okay, there's some pretty nice one. But then the
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: day of all these the de looge started and there
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: was no going back. Yeah, so I'm like, okay, yeah,
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: never mind, I might just watch watch it later on
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: for ships and giggles and but that's but.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Just watch it, just just watch it, just just to
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: be informed. Okay, yeah, you know I'll do that.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: You won't.
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: You won't.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: You won't enjoy it.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: You won't take a shot over time, something that makes
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: no sense happens, you'll be drunk five minutes.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. But just you know, just you
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: know what you're talking about when you say it's trash.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: Yeah, finding squids the trash that it is.
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: But anyway, just.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: After realizing that this stuff with Alex Kurtzman it just
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: really dark shit. And I wish I didn't know that
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: fact about him.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I'll have to
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: look that up because I was not aware of that.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, huh, okay, anything else you wanted to
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: bring up, that's it.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: But it was so great to hear from Chad again.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: That was awesome nostalgia, right, So that was good.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Glad he got out of the basement for that one.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely keep up the good work, guys, I.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Mean, yeah, awesome, Well thanks thanks spot good to hear
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: from you. Oh yeah, okay, well that's uh man, that show.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: I don't know what else to say at this point.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: It's it's got awful.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: You're good. You don't have to say anything. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: it was hot garbage. Yeah.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: So yeah, I think next episode we should do what
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: we would do to fix it, what we would want
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: to do with section thirty one. So yeah, I have ideas.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: I'm sure up.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
