- 0:46Speaker 3: maybe you guys have heard of it it's international Sudoku.
- 0:49Speaker 7: Day oh the game Sudoku.
- 0:51Speaker 3: It is the game but what exactly is that.
- 0:53Speaker 8: You probably get to play I said, okay, it's like
- 0:55Speaker 8: a puzzle.
- 0:55Speaker 7: It's like a word puzzle.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I've seen the books. I've seen the little magazines.
- 0:59Speaker 8: Oh, it is numbers. It is numbers.
- 1:01Speaker 7: I think it's numbers. Yeah, I was thinking crossword puzzles.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Smart people. Smart people puzzle day. All right, Peyton, what's
- 1:06Speaker 3: going on?
- 1:06Speaker 4: We have a couple calls online that Peyton said there's
- 1:08Speaker 4: something really interesting about them.
- 1:09Speaker 8: Yeah, so I was like scrolling on our Instagram and
- 1:11Speaker 8: looking through our DMs and we got two DMs back
- 1:14Speaker 8: to back. And as I was looking at them, I
- 1:16Speaker 8: was like, wait, are these two connected? And then I
- 1:19Speaker 8: realized that they're not. It's just a coincidence.
- 1:22Speaker 4: They're not connected, but we have them on the phone.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Let's see. Sierra. Hi.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Hi.
- 1:28Speaker 4: So Peyton said you DM'd us, but so far Kyle, Rich,
- 1:32Speaker 4: and I don't know what the DM is about. So
- 1:34Speaker 4: welcome to the program. How can we help you?
- 1:37Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 1:37Speaker 9: I reached out because my fiance has been such a
- 1:39Speaker 9: loyal listener for years and we're actually getting married next month.
- 1:43Speaker 9: So I thought it'd be an awesome surprise to give
- 1:45Speaker 9: him a shout out on the radio since he has
- 1:47Speaker 9: no idea I'm calling.
- 1:48Speaker 7: Oh, how fun.
- 1:51Speaker 10: Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
- 1:53Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:55Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 1:56Speaker 6: His name is Vince.
- 1:57Speaker 9: He's actually been on your show once before a long
- 1:59Speaker 9: time ago.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Tell us why. Why was he on the show? You
- 2:04Speaker 3: know what?
- 2:04Speaker 11: I don't remember.
- 2:05Speaker 9: He calls me every day to give me updates of
- 2:07Speaker 9: what you guys talk about. When he called me this morning, I.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Can hear you guys in the background. I was like,
- 2:12Speaker 6: oh my God, he is going to hear me live.
- 2:13Speaker 3: He's like, no big deal. I was calling in for
- 2:15Speaker 3: the segment, who's got a secret family in at least
- 2:17Speaker 3: three other countries.
- 2:19Speaker 6: War of the Roses.
- 2:22Speaker 9: Who knows?
- 2:23Speaker 4: That's cool. Okay, well, shout out, Vince. Thanks for listening.
- 2:28Speaker 9: Yeah, we're super, you know, excited. He was excited about
- 2:31Speaker 9: Peyton's wedding. And then, you know, when we were.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Talking about ours, and he was like, oh, my God.
- 2:35Speaker 9: So, you know, he means so much to me, and
- 2:37Speaker 9: he's amazing. So any little thing I can do, he
- 2:39Speaker 9: feels involved in the process.
- 2:41Speaker 3: You're so sweet. You guys are going to be fine. Okay,
- 2:43Speaker 3: do me a favor. Hold on, okay? Hold on for
- 2:45Speaker 3: a second. Hold on a second.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Lincoln. Yes, I'm here. Hey, what's up? You're on the air.
- 2:49Speaker 3: How can we help you?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well, so here's what's going on.
- 2:54Speaker 5: My fiancée, Elizabeth.
- 2:56Speaker 3: is.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Your biggest fan of the show. She loves your show.
- 3:00Speaker 2: And she has listened to you guys for years. You
- 3:03Speaker 2: guys have helped her through some of the toughest times.
- 3:06Speaker 2: She calls you her family. And she's dying. She has
- 3:10Speaker 2: literally told me about every one of you. And one
- 3:13Speaker 2: thing that she wants so much is she was hoping
- 3:16Speaker 2: that you guys would come to our wedding December 19th.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Wow.
- 3:20Speaker 2: She was incredibly happy for it.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Hey, hold on a second. Hold on for one second.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Hold on for one second. Hey, Sierra.
- 3:27Speaker 12: Yes.
- 3:27Speaker 4: We just talked to Lincoln. He's inviting us to his wedding. No,
- 3:30Speaker 4: we didn't get invited. You didn't invite us to your wedding.
- 3:33Speaker 9: Well, in the DM, you're invited to the wedding, too.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Oh, in the DM?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Well, you didn't say it.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Now I got to see the DM. I don't believe you.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Because you guys didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen.
- 3:43Speaker 8: Can't confirm. Sierra did invite us to the wedding.
- 3:46Speaker 9: Oh, really?
- 3:46Speaker 7: She did?
- 3:47Speaker 4: I was about to say.
- 3:48Speaker 7: She did invite us.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Lincoln invited us. Have you picked out the food yet?
- 3:52Speaker 3: What kind of food you got?
- 3:54Speaker 9: We're doing a tri-tip with a demiglaze and a chicken marsala.
- 3:59Speaker 9: We have a few artists there. And live music for
- 4:04Speaker 9: ceremony and cocktail hour.
- 4:06Speaker 3: What's the dress?
- 4:08Speaker 9: I can't tell you if he's listening.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Who's the band? I probably know him.
- 4:11Speaker 4: You can't tell us the dress?
- 4:12Speaker 8: She's talking about the dress code.
- 4:13Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 7: Are you talking about the dress code?
- 4:15Speaker 9: I'm thinking of my wedding dress.
- 4:17Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I want to know, like, is it black tie or
- 4:19Speaker 3: is it, like, casual, like, jeans?
- 4:20Speaker 11: It's dark and moody formal attire.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Dark and moody.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Dark and moody.
- 4:24Speaker 3: And who's the band?
- 4:25Speaker 7: I probably know them.
- 4:28Speaker 9: He is a guitarist that was on The Voice, Nelson Cade.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I don't know, but that sounds amazing.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Where is the wedding? What city are you in?
- 4:37Speaker 9: Pomona, California. So we actually live in Arizona, but my
- 4:40Speaker 9: family's in California. So my grandma's getting older. And so
- 4:44Speaker 9: we kind of had to rush our date.
- 4:45Speaker 3: That's different. Grandmas usually don't get older.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Hold on, Sierra. Hold on. Hold on. Hey, Lincoln.
- 4:55Speaker 12: Yes.
- 4:56Speaker 4: What kind of food you got at your wedding?
- 4:58Speaker 2: We have Italian food.
- 5:01Speaker 3: That's all you had to say.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Ooh. What about the dress? Is there a theme to
- 5:05Speaker 4: your wedding?
- 5:07Speaker 5: So there is no theme. So I want to let.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You guys, I'm a pro wrestler out here in Arizona.
- 5:12Speaker 2: She's always supported me and been to every one of
- 5:13Speaker 2: my shows.
- 5:14Speaker 5: And I wanted to do one thing.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And that was to get her on the phone with
- 5:17Speaker 2: you guys to tell her if it's okay. If that's
- 5:20Speaker 2: okay on your side, she is going to go ballistic
- 5:23Speaker 2: if she hears your voice.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Like literally.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Oh, you want us to call her?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Would you be able to if you guys are going
- 5:30Speaker 2: to go? Not pressuring anyone.
- 5:31Speaker 13: Where is the wedding?
- 5:34Speaker 2: The wedding is in Mesa, Arizona at Garden Tuscana.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Oh, Mesa.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That's... December 19th.
- 5:40Speaker 4: That's far. No, it's not.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's flying through.
- 5:44Speaker 8: No, it is. That is 20 miles away.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It is.
- 5:48Speaker 7: I mean, it's closer than Pomona, California.
- 5:51Speaker 11: That's too limiting.
- 5:52Speaker 5: That's too limiting. What is it?
- 5:54Speaker 4: December 19th, you said? December 19th?
- 5:56Speaker 5: December 19th, yes.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I tell you what, why don't we all check? And
- 5:58Speaker 4: if we're available, I think it'd be fun to go.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I think it'd be fun, too. I think it'd be
- 6:01Speaker 4: fun to go.
- 6:02Speaker 3: We haven't done that in a long time.
- 6:03Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 14: Oh.
- 6:04Speaker 5: That would be phenomenal, guys.
- 6:05Speaker 7: I do love a good wedding.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 6:08Speaker 3: What about the band?
- 6:08Speaker 4: We don't have a band.
- 6:11Speaker 5: We have a DJ.
- 6:11Speaker 2: It's a Middle Eastern Assyrian wedding, half and half Mexican.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Oh, dude. That's going to go off. I ate at
- 6:20Speaker 4: a Middle Eastern Mexican restaurant last week. It was so good. Oh, wow.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Oh, wow, I didn't even know there was one existing.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's in San Diego.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I can't remember the name of it, but it was
- 6:30Speaker 4: like you got carne asada, then you got the rice,
- 6:34Speaker 4: the Middle Eastern rice. It was phenomenal. I'm in.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Yes.
- 6:41Speaker 10: You can't say that unless you mean it, John Jay.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Hold on, hold on.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Is the food going to be stations, like a buffet,
- 6:48Speaker 4: or is it going to be brought to you?
- 6:51Speaker 5: Brought to you. Don't worry about it.
- 6:52Speaker 4: I know you wouldn't want to move off.
- 6:53Speaker 5: The table, John.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It'll come to you, my man.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I like this. Hold on a line. Hold on a line.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Sierra, what's the date of your wedding?
- 7:03Speaker 2: 10-24-26.
- 7:07Speaker 14: Oh, October.
- 7:09Speaker 4: The Saturday. Okay. We'll commit further out, but we will
- 7:12Speaker 4: commit sooner up. We're going to regroup, and we're looking.
- 7:15Speaker 4: If you're serious, we'll respond to you. We'll see if
- 7:17Speaker 4: we're all in town.
- 7:18Speaker 15: No, we're serious.
- 7:19Speaker 9: We're serious, so you let me know.
- 7:20Speaker 6: All right.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Thank you, Sia. If anybody else wants to invite us
- 7:24Speaker 3: to your wedding, we need to know what kind of food.
- 7:27Speaker 4: You're going to have. And if it's buffet. Hey, Lincoln,
- 7:31Speaker 4: thanks for the invite. We're going to regroup and see
- 7:33Speaker 4: if we can all be available on that day, December 19th.
- 7:36Speaker 4: That's very cool. Thank you for listening. Thanks for the invite.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Of course.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Thank you, guys.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Thank you, brother.
- 7:42Speaker 4: That is so nice. People are so nice, right?
- 7:44Speaker 9: They are.
- 7:45Speaker 4: They're so nice. That'd be so much fun.
- 7:47Speaker 8: Stop just yelling at the radio.
- 7:50Speaker 14: Call us.
- 7:52Speaker 4: 877-937-1047.
- 7:53Speaker 14: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Payne, what's the vibe for horoscopes today?
- 7:58Speaker 8: I'm letting you know how your zodiac sign handles running
- 8:01Speaker 8: into your ex. So, yeah, also if it's your birthday today,
- 8:05Speaker 8: you are a Virgo and you share a birthday with
- 8:06Speaker 8: Adam Sandler and Michael Bublé.
- 8:09Speaker 4: So if you run into your ex, this is how
- 8:10Speaker 4: your signs go.
- 8:11Speaker 8: This is how you act. So, well, John Jay, you're
- 8:13Speaker 8: a Virgo, so I'm just going to start with you.
- 8:14Speaker 8: So if you run into your ex, you're going to
- 8:16Speaker 8: hit them with, like, a quick little corporate style inspection. Like,
- 8:19Speaker 8: you're going to stand from afar. You're going to see
- 8:21Speaker 8: what they're wearing, what their shoes are. You're going to
- 8:23Speaker 8: check their vibe. And then you're going to know every
- 8:25Speaker 8: single flaw that they had. And you're going to leave
- 8:27Speaker 8: feeling deeply validated by your choice of not being with them.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Okay.
- 8:30Speaker 3: The only thing is I do that with every person
- 8:32Speaker 3: I meet.
- 8:35Speaker 16: Accurate.
- 8:37Speaker 3: That is true.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Holly, good morning. What's your sign?
- 8:43Speaker 1: Aquarius.
- 8:44Speaker 3: All right, Holly.
- 8:45Speaker 8: So if you run into your ex just randomly, you're
- 8:48Speaker 8: going to give them like a weird like detached wave
- 8:51Speaker 8: and hit them with like a super random fact. And
- 8:53Speaker 8: then you're going to walk away leaving them super confused
- 8:55Speaker 8: on whether or not you even cared about them in
- 8:57Speaker 8: the first place.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Interesting. I just found out about two weeks ago my
- 9:02Speaker 1: ex is dead.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Is that good news or bad news?
- 9:07Speaker 1: I mean, high school boyfriend. So, you know, but I mean,
- 9:10Speaker 1: it was kind of sad. But I went, wow, that's weird.
- 9:13Speaker 3: So if you run into him, you're going to be like,
- 9:15Speaker 3: you must be a ghost.
- 9:17Speaker 8: That would be weird if she ran into him. That's
- 9:19Speaker 8: for sure.
- 9:20Speaker 12: Right.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Like if he showed up. How'd you find out two
- 9:22Speaker 3: weeks ago?
- 9:23Speaker 4: What happened?
- 9:23Speaker 3: Facebook post or did he visit you?
- 9:26Speaker 1: No, his aunt called me, and I haven't, I mean,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I really haven't talked to these people since Corona. I mean,
- 9:33Speaker 1: since 25 years.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Weird.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Coronavirus was 25 years ago?
- 9:37Speaker 7: Wow.
- 9:39Speaker 3: When you're in a pandemic.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, that's right.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Are we in the future, John? Yeah, I guess so.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Wow.
- 9:47Speaker 3: We must have re-signed that contract.
- 9:48Speaker 4: All right, Holly.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Oh, my, my, my.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in, Holly. Thanks for listening.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Have a great day, you guys.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You too.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Sarah.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Good morning. What's your sign?
- 9:59Speaker 5: Hi.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I'm a tourist.
- 10:01Speaker 8: Okay, so for my tourist today, this is how you're
- 10:04Speaker 8: going to act when you run into your ex. So
- 10:06Speaker 8: you're actually going to pull off like a master class
- 10:08Speaker 8: in total coldness. You're going to hit them with a
- 10:10Speaker 8: little head nod and keep walking like you didn't spend
- 10:13Speaker 8: six months of your life with them and head straight
- 10:15Speaker 8: to go get some food because you're like, yeah, not
- 10:17Speaker 8: my problem anymore.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 10:20Speaker 9: Yes, that sounds totally awesome because, yeah, I've got an
- 10:23Speaker 9: ex like that.
- 10:23Speaker 17: Bye-bye.
- 10:24Speaker 6: That sounds so awesome.
- 10:27Speaker 9: Thank you so much.
- 10:28Speaker 17: I enjoy your guys' morning station, too.
- 10:31Speaker 16: You guys are awesome.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Thank you, Sarah. Thank you for listening.
- 10:34Speaker 9: You guys have a wonderful day.
- 10:36Speaker 4: You too.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Let's do Libras.
- 10:38Speaker 8: Okay, Kyle. So if you were to run into your ex,
- 10:41Speaker 8: you would get caught in like a wave of sudden panic.
- 10:43Speaker 8: You would like smile aggressively, agree to catch up for
- 10:46Speaker 8: coffee sometime with like zero intention of ever doing it.
- 10:49Speaker 8: And then you're going to spend the rest of the
- 10:50Speaker 8: day stressed out about how you handled the whole situation.
- 10:52Speaker 9: Totally.
- 10:53Speaker 7: And they're like, I want to be nice. But I'm like,
- 10:54Speaker 7: why would I say I would go to coffee? I'm
- 10:55Speaker 7: not going to coffee.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I'm not going to coffee.
- 10:56Speaker 12: I don't like you.
- 10:57Speaker 7: Why would I even do that?
- 10:57Speaker 9: What?
- 10:59Speaker 4: How about Pisces?
- 11:00Speaker 8: Rich, if you run into your ex, you're going to
- 11:03Speaker 8: lock eyes. You're going to immediately get sucked back into
- 11:05Speaker 8: all those flashbacks of the good memories. And they're just
- 11:07Speaker 8: for the next three hours drafting an unsent paragraph text
- 11:10Speaker 8: in your notes.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Don't ask for like all my CDs and stuff back.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 11:15Speaker 8: Can I have my jacket that you never gave back?
- 11:18Speaker 8: It's going to be you.
- 11:19Speaker 3: All right, Peyton, how about for you, for Leo's?
- 11:21Speaker 8: Yeah, Leos, if we run into our ex, we are
- 11:23Speaker 8: going to do like a quick mental inventory of what
- 11:26Speaker 8: we are wearing. We're going to adjust our posture so
- 11:28Speaker 8: we can look like we are the baddest B in
- 11:30Speaker 8: the room.
- 11:30Speaker 4: And we're going to.
- 11:31Speaker 8: Make sure that they notice how ridiculously good we look
- 11:33Speaker 8: without them.
- 11:34Speaker 4: All right, very good. If we didn't get to your sign,
- 11:35Speaker 4: they're all posted on our website, jauntyandrich.com. Call us now.
- 11:40Speaker 2: 877-937-1047.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Peyton, what are you working on?
- 11:48Speaker 8: Well, apparently the post-breakup glow-up is real. So basically, if
- 11:51Speaker 8: you leave your man, you're going to get way hotter.
- 11:53Speaker 8: And there's scientific proof. Psychologists and aesthetic experts are saying
- 11:58Speaker 8: that this can be emotional and physical. So I was like,
- 12:01Speaker 8: this is actually kind of tea.
- 12:03Speaker 4: The post-breakup glow-up. glow up. So you break up and
- 12:06Speaker 4: you get really good looking.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 12:08Speaker 8: This is why, because your stress can go down. So
- 12:11Speaker 8: less relationship stress can mean lower cortisol. You may start
- 12:14Speaker 8: sleeping better, which obviously, I mean, we say it all
- 12:16Speaker 8: the time, sleep, it heals all. Less inflammation, it means
- 12:20Speaker 8: your skin's going to start looking better, your circulation, your
- 12:22Speaker 8: hair is going to grow. But the biggest thing is
- 12:25Speaker 8: that you start focusing on yourself again. So once you
- 12:27Speaker 8: start focusing on yourself and putting that energy into you,
- 12:30Speaker 8: all of the things in your life are going to
- 12:32Speaker 8: come right back. And you're just going to be hotter
- 12:33Speaker 8: than everyone.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Wasn't that, was it Khloe Kardashian that did something like
- 12:37Speaker 4: that happen?
- 12:38Speaker 3: Or was it a TV show she had?
- 12:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:40Speaker 3: She did it, right?
- 12:40Speaker 4: It was a TV show?
- 12:41Speaker 7: It was like something revenge, but revenge body.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Revenge body. Oh, that's cool.
- 12:46Speaker 8: See, but that's so valid though, because sometimes it's like,
- 12:48Speaker 8: you do just need to lose that man. Sometimes he
- 12:52Speaker 8: is really draining the life out of you.
- 12:54Speaker 4: You know what? Hold on a second. Joanna, you got
- 12:56Speaker 4: a post-glow up story?
- 12:57Speaker 8: I do.
- 12:59Speaker 17: So it's kind of a long one, so I greatly apologize.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 13:02Speaker 17: Um, So last year I got broken up with and
- 13:06Speaker 17: I kind of like lost myself with my friends and
- 13:08Speaker 17: making new people. I'm kind of an outgoing person. And
- 13:11Speaker 17: so anyways, I went to this concert and met this
- 13:15Speaker 17: guy named Austin Martin. He's like a kind of like
- 13:18Speaker 17: a famous singer or whatever. Listen to his music for years. Well,
- 13:22Speaker 17: after that, um, I went to another concert of his
- 13:25Speaker 17: that actually got canceled. And there I had met a girl,
- 13:29Speaker 17: like a 16-year-old girl or whatever. And she saw my
- 13:34Speaker 17: shirt of his.
- 13:35Speaker 6: And she was like, oh, my God, I.
- 13:36Speaker 17: Know that song. So then, like, I gave her the
- 13:38Speaker 17: shirt and posted about it. And Austin had shared it. Well,
- 13:41Speaker 17: then I've been kind of like on his radar.
- 13:44Speaker 6: And then for some reason we became friends.
- 13:46Speaker 17: And so because of him, I ended up making other
- 13:49Speaker 17: friends in Billings, Montana. And like this vibe marketing place,
- 13:53Speaker 17: like we're all friends, a bunch of rappers, a bunch
- 13:56Speaker 17: of comedians. And so like we all just became these friends.
- 14:00Speaker 17: And now often I've been invited to his album release party.
- 14:04Speaker 17: I actually got to go to. back in June. And
- 14:09Speaker 17: then I actually got to go up to see him
- 14:11Speaker 17: this weekend. And he's actually coming to my town in
- 14:14Speaker 17: a few weeks. And he's coming and celebrating his album
- 14:17Speaker 17: with all of us and partying with me and all
- 14:19Speaker 17: my friends. So it's been kind of cool. He's really
- 14:21Speaker 17: fun and interesting. But all because of the breakup, I
- 14:25Speaker 17: decided to go out and start doing concerts again. And
- 14:28Speaker 17: then I made friends with him and some of his friends.
- 14:30Speaker 17: And now we're all friends.
- 14:32Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I keep trying to Google him. All I can find
- 14:34Speaker 4: is the car, Aston Martin.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Oh, that's nice, too. She's friends with the car.
- 14:38Speaker 17: No, it's Aston Martin Montana. His hit song is called Wrangler,
- 14:43Speaker 17: and he actually did a remix with Chingy. Chingy went
- 14:46Speaker 17: to Billions Montana and did the music video with him.
- 14:50Speaker 17: um so it's actually really cool that to get to
- 14:53Speaker 17: meet him or whatever and his album just came out
- 14:56Speaker 17: this year it's called yellowstone county which is what billings
- 14:58Speaker 17: montana is.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Is it country is it what is it what kind
- 15:01Speaker 3: of music.
- 15:03Speaker 17: It's country rap is what they put country.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Rap okay he's kind of like he's like it looks
- 15:07Speaker 4: like he's a jelly roll type.
- 15:09Speaker 17: Of guy kind of yeah and it's really good he
- 15:13Speaker 17: um Like I said, his hit song is Wrangler, and
- 15:16Speaker 17: that's what was written on my sweater that I met
- 15:18Speaker 17: this 16-year-old girl in Omaha, Nebraska. And I went to
- 15:23Speaker 17: go to a different concert to visit somebody else, and
- 15:26Speaker 17: she started reading the lyrics that he wrote on the back,
- 15:29Speaker 17: and she was like, take off these Wrangler jeans. And
- 15:31Speaker 17: I laughed because I turned around. So I'm like, oh,
- 15:33Speaker 17: my God, somebody knows who Austin is. And I turn
- 15:36Speaker 17: around and she's like screaming with joy. She's like, oh,
- 15:39Speaker 17: my God, that's an Austin Martin shirt. She's like, have
- 15:41Speaker 17: you seen him in concert? I was like, absolutely have.
- 15:43Speaker 17: I was like, he's amazing. He's actually a really sweet
- 15:46Speaker 17: person to talk to. You know, he grew up on
- 15:49Speaker 17: his parents ranch. So like he he kind of grew
- 15:51Speaker 17: up with those cowboy roots. And her and I talked
- 15:55Speaker 17: for hours. I mean, this poor girl, she was 16.
- 15:58Speaker 17: She was super excited and she always wanted to see
- 16:01Speaker 17: him in concert. So I went to my hotel room,
- 16:03Speaker 17: changed out of that sweater and gave her the sweater.
- 16:06Speaker 17: And so I posted about it and Austin actually shared it.
- 16:09Speaker 17: And now I've been, then I was like kind of
- 16:11Speaker 17: like on his radar about it.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And you told us this already.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 17: And it was really fun and it was just really cool.
- 16:17Speaker 17: And then, like I said, we just became friends from that.
- 16:19Speaker 11: Sorry.
- 16:20Speaker 4: No, that's good.
- 16:21Speaker 9: That's good.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I love that. That's cool.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I thought, Oh my God, I feel some, when you
- 16:24Speaker 4: said you feel sorry for the 15 year old, so
- 16:26Speaker 4: did I, I thought you were starting to tell her
- 16:27Speaker 4: over and over again that you're going to go get it.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That's what I'm going to do this winter.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Wait right here. Wait right here in the lobby. Austin's
- 16:33Speaker 3: in front of mine.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Hold on.
- 16:33Speaker 4: That's Joanna, thanks for calling in. Thanks for listening.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Have a great day.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 16:38Speaker 8: Okay.
- 16:39Speaker 5: You too.
- 16:39Speaker 11: Bye.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Ari, you have a post breakup glow up story. Am
- 16:44Speaker 4: I right?
- 16:45Speaker 6: I so do.
- 16:47Speaker 4: What happened?
- 16:48Speaker 17: OK, so my breakup glow up was actually disrespectful. So
- 16:55Speaker 17: I was with.
- 16:56Speaker 6: This man for three years.
- 16:57Speaker 18: And I was looking tired.
- 17:00Speaker 14: Right.
- 17:00Speaker 17: I I gained like 20 pounds.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I stopped doing my hair.
- 17:04Speaker 6: I like lived in his oversized T-shirts all the time,
- 17:08Speaker 6: like the whole thing. And when he dumped me, he
- 17:12Speaker 6: said he needed to go find himself.
- 17:14Speaker 17: So apparently I found myself, too, because six months later,
- 17:20Speaker 17: I'm down 25 pounds.
- 17:22Speaker 6: I got my teeth fixed.
- 17:24Speaker 17: I started Pilates and I got promoted and my skin
- 17:28Speaker 17: cleared up, too.
- 17:29Speaker 8: Wow.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Man, he was really sucking the life out of you.
- 17:34Speaker 17: I know.
- 17:34Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 17:35Speaker 6: I mean, he slid into my DMs last week, actually,
- 17:39Speaker 6: and he was like, oh, my God, you look amazing.
- 17:41Speaker 17: And I said, thank you.
- 17:43Speaker 6: It turns out I was allergic to you. And then
- 17:45Speaker 6: I blocked him.
- 17:46Speaker 3: What was that when you say you got your teeth fixed?
- 17:48Speaker 3: What was it? What kind of teeth did you have?
- 17:49Speaker 3: Did they go buck teeth, giant teeth?
- 17:52Speaker 6: I had some severe buck teeth.
- 17:54Speaker 9: Wow.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Do you think he told his friends? Do you guys
- 17:56Speaker 4: have a nickname for you behind your back? Do you
- 17:58Speaker 4: guys see Buck Teeth?
- 17:59Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Buck Teeth got her teeth fixed.
- 18:01Speaker 3: No way.
- 18:02Speaker 4: She looks so hot. She lost three pounds. Look at
- 18:03Speaker 4: Buck Teeth. He's showing all his friends pictures of you
- 18:05Speaker 4: and like, wow, man, you screwed that up. You need
- 18:07Speaker 4: to get back with Buck Teeth.
- 18:08Speaker 6: I know.
- 18:08Speaker 17: He screwed it up now.
- 18:10Speaker 5: All right.
- 18:11Speaker 4: All right.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Well, congratulations. Crazy cool.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Good job, girl.
- 18:14Speaker 4: We might give you tickets to Austin.
- 18:16Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 18:16Speaker 8: Austin Martin Montana.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Austin Martin Montana for you. You can hang out with Joanna.
- 18:21Speaker 4: All right. All right.
- 18:22Speaker 17: Hold on.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Thanks for calling in. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 18:25Speaker 14: If chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it.
- 18:28Speaker 3: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Hey, it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks
- 18:34Speaker 4: of information. Rich has life hacks. This is very, very
- 18:37Speaker 4: important information. According to a report, the most popular beer
- 18:40Speaker 4: in America, Michelob Ultra.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Really?
- 18:44Speaker 4: The least popular beer is Milwaukee's Best Ice. Beer drinkers,
- 18:50Speaker 4: according to new research, smoking... actually leads to increased loneliness.
- 18:54Speaker 4: So you actually do become lonelier over time as a smoker.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I get it.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I think it's because there's more people that aren't smokers.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That would make sense.
- 19:01Speaker 4: So they stay away from you.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Sitting there all by yourself outside of your building, just smoking, pacing.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Get this.
- 19:07Speaker 4: A contemporary art exhibition took an unexpected turn last week
- 19:11Speaker 4: when an art collector offered $ 4, 000. She saw some art.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I want that piece. That's $ 4, 000. I'll give you $ 4, 000
- 19:18Speaker 4: for it. Turned out it was a broken vacuum cleaner
- 19:23Speaker 4: from the janitorial staff on the corner.
- 19:25Speaker 3: It wasn't even a piece of art.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Did they sell it?
- 19:27Speaker 3: I'm sure they sold it.
- 19:28Speaker 7: That would be embarrassing.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Now, I'm not sure if this is going to turn
- 19:31Speaker 4: into a Disney movie or not, but 101 cats were
- 19:33Speaker 4: found inside a home in Washington State. 101 cats. Oh,
- 19:36Speaker 4: my gosh.
- 19:37Speaker 3: In one house?
- 19:38Speaker 4: Yeah, some hoarder. No way.
- 19:39Speaker 3: That smells good in there.
- 19:41Speaker 4: I'm going to call this Unfortunate Ways to Die number one.
- 19:45Speaker 4: A man who just celebrated his 40th year wedding anniversary
- 19:49Speaker 4: and retirement passed away in a freak car accident involving
- 19:52Speaker 4: 10 feral hogs oh what yeah he must have crashed
- 19:57Speaker 4: into him and they must do something like that he
- 19:59Speaker 4: died that's sad i'm gonna call this unfortunate ways to
- 20:02Speaker 4: die number two A 43-year-old influencer died after undergoing junk
- 20:08Speaker 4: enlargement surgery in Thailand. I saw that on Instagram trending.
- 20:11Speaker 8: Yeah, I saw that.
- 20:12Speaker 9: Right?
- 20:12Speaker 8: That's sad. And he was with his fiancee on a trip.
- 20:16Speaker 5: I know.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Just enjoying.
- 20:17Speaker 4: That's so scary. And this sounds bad, what I'm about
- 20:20Speaker 4: to tell you. In fact, I went and had sushi
- 20:22Speaker 4: the other night after reading this story. Scientists found parasites
- 20:26Speaker 4: in almost every fish from a recent tuna hole. 96%
- 20:31Speaker 4: of the tuna was infected. Are you kidding me?
- 20:34Speaker 10: You know, my friend like refuses to eat sushi anymore.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Because of that?
- 20:39Speaker 4: Yeah. I saw that survey. I brought it up at
- 20:42Speaker 4: dinner with my friends and they, two of them still, well,
- 20:45Speaker 4: his wife wouldn't eat sushi, but we still did.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Doesn't that why they bring out the wasabi and the
- 20:49Speaker 3: ginger to kill some of the bacteria? That's what that's
- 20:51Speaker 3: kind of originally for.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Okay, so we have officially entered the BRR months, September, October, November, December.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 4: So a post on social media is going viral because
- 21:04Speaker 4: I guess these last four months of the year, the
- 21:06Speaker 4: end of the day is like 30, 31, 30, and
- 21:08Speaker 4: 31 days, right? So it's difficult to keep track for
- 21:10Speaker 4: some people, they say. So a post on social media
- 21:13Speaker 4: is going viral where someone says, it's kind of dumb
- 21:16Speaker 4: that months are different lengths. 365 should be divided into
- 21:20Speaker 4: five equal months of 73 days each.
- 21:23Speaker 3: February, April, August, October, and December. That's everything we're looking for.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I can't get down with that.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Millions of people saw the post. It attracted 40,000 likes
- 21:33Speaker 4: and comments and more if you just count the accounts
- 21:36Speaker 4: that are sharing it.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Yeah, why are we doing stuff stupid? Do it smart
- 21:39Speaker 3: like that.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I figure if Trump can go ahead and change Lake
- 21:41Speaker 4: Ontario to Lake America and to Gulf America, maybe he
- 21:43Speaker 4: can shorten up the years a little bit. Isn't that
- 21:46Speaker 4: wild that it's going viral like that? What do you
- 21:48Speaker 4: have for life hacks?
- 21:48Speaker 2: You're right.
- 21:48Speaker 8: It doesn't make sense.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Well, yeah, this is for procrastinators because a lot of
- 21:53Speaker 3: people say, I would love to get to your life hacks,
- 21:55Speaker 3: but I just don't feel like it because I'm a procrastinator.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So here is a good midweek thing for you. Now,
- 22:01Speaker 3: if you see you've got a huge pile of work
- 22:03Speaker 3: in front of you and you're doing everything except actually
- 22:05Speaker 3: starting it, the four-minute rule. Do you guys know what
- 22:07Speaker 3: the four-minute rule is? Set your little alarm on your
- 22:10Speaker 3: clock for four minutes. Then you just start something. Like
- 22:15Speaker 3: open the document, make the call, start cleaning, whatever it
- 22:18Speaker 3: is and say in four minutes, I'm going to stop
- 22:20Speaker 3: because the trick is starting is often the hardest part.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Once you're four minutes in, you've pretty much broken through
- 22:26Speaker 3: the procrastination wall and it's a whole lot easier to
- 22:29Speaker 3: keep going. You're probably going to decide to keep on
- 22:31Speaker 3: going unless, of course, you just stop, which is, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 3: your prerogative, too. And if you want to start reading
- 22:36Speaker 3: your life hack and stopping right in the middle of it.
- 22:38Speaker 3: We will post it at johnjandrich.com. The commercials are finally over.
- 22:44Speaker 14: Let's get back to John Jay and Rich.
- 22:47Speaker 4: I want you guys to think about your partner, your spouse,
- 22:50Speaker 4: your husband, your wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, okay? And
- 22:54Speaker 4: I saw this. This is so interesting. It's eight things
- 22:58Speaker 4: that feel easy with the right person. but exhausting with
- 23:04Speaker 4: the wrong one.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Oh, this is good.
- 23:06Speaker 4: This is good. I want to know this.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Okay, gut check.
- 23:08Speaker 4: You're driving right now. You're listening to this. You're in
- 23:10Speaker 4: a relationship. Things aren't going well. If things are going well,
- 23:12Speaker 4: you always just question whether it's the right person or not.
- 23:15Speaker 4: I will give you the answers. This is so good. Okay,
- 23:19Speaker 4: so these are eight things that feel easy with the
- 23:21Speaker 4: right person, exhausting with the wrong one. Sitting in silence.
- 23:25Speaker 19: Yes.
- 23:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 10: Right?
- 23:26Speaker 7: With the wrong person, you're like, I feel like I
- 23:27Speaker 7: have to say something. What am I supposed to say?
- 23:29Speaker 7: And with the right person, you're just like, oh.
- 23:30Speaker 3: We're chilling.
- 23:31Speaker 4: You know, I feel like sometimes this works with friends too. Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I think so.
- 23:34Speaker 4: That one does.
- 23:36Speaker 3: There's a couple of friends of mine, I could just
- 23:38Speaker 3: be totally quiet and never, ever say anything.
- 23:40Speaker 9: Right?
- 23:42Speaker 3: Telling them your good news.
- 23:44Speaker 4: You got the job. You ran a mile. Something small
- 23:46Speaker 4: and shiny happened to you. Your first instinct is to
- 23:48Speaker 4: tell them. With the right person, that instinct pays off.
- 23:52Speaker 4: They ask a follow-up question. They want details. The win
- 23:55Speaker 4: gets bigger in the retelling, which is half the reason
- 23:57Speaker 4: human share wins at all. With the wrong person, you
- 24:00Speaker 4: learn to pre-shinker announcements.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Wow, boy, that's sad, right?
- 24:03Speaker 8: Yeah, because sometimes it's like if it's the wrong person
- 24:06Speaker 8: and you tell them something exciting, they might not be
- 24:08Speaker 8: excited for you. They might be your low-key number one hater.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 3: You've watched too many of them land on flat.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Nice. Before the conversation swings elsewhere. Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Yeah, sure.
- 24:17Speaker 10: Wow.
- 24:18Speaker 8: Or like they get jealous of you and aren't happy
- 24:20Speaker 8: for you.
- 24:20Speaker 3: If that is your world, that is a bad place
- 24:24Speaker 3: for you to be.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Things that feel easy with the right person, exhausting with
- 24:27Speaker 4: the wrong one. Disagreeing about something small. Every couple disagrees
- 24:31Speaker 4: about the thermostat, the route, the correct amount of cilantro.
- 24:35Speaker 4: The question is what a small disagreement costs with the
- 24:38Speaker 4: right person.
- 24:40Speaker 3: It costs nothing.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Somebody makes a joke mid-argument, somebody rolls their eyes affectionately,
- 24:44Speaker 4: and the whole thing deflates before it ever becomes a thing.
- 24:46Speaker 4: With the wrong person, there are no small disagreements. Every
- 24:49Speaker 4: difference of opinion is a loose thread on a much
- 24:51Speaker 4: larger sweater, and you've learned not to pull. The deflating
- 24:54Speaker 4: move has a name. Number four.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Asking for what you actually need. Can you handle dinner tonight?
- 25:00Speaker 4: I'm wiped. With the right person, they cost nine words.
- 25:04Speaker 4: With the wrong person, the same request requires a full
- 25:07Speaker 4: internal legal brief. You draft it, soften it. That's good.
- 25:12Speaker 3: I like these so far because it's like, yeah, the
- 25:15Speaker 3: big things you should be able to handle, but the
- 25:17Speaker 3: little things you should be able to handle too. You
- 25:18Speaker 3: should be able to handle both of them. Having an
- 25:20Speaker 3: off day in front of them.
- 25:21Speaker 4: With the right person, you're allowed to be a lesser
- 25:22Speaker 4: version of yourself.
- 25:23Speaker 3: On Thursdays, unfunny, unshowered.
- 25:26Speaker 4: They don't take it personally and you don't have to
- 25:28Speaker 4: manage the reaction to the mood on top of the
- 25:30Speaker 4: mood itself. With the wrong person, there's no such thing
- 25:33Speaker 4: as clocking out. You feel your face arranging itself the
- 25:35Speaker 4: moment they walk in. You perform well. fineness. You edit
- 25:38Speaker 4: a bad day into a lighter, more palatable antidote. The
- 25:42Speaker 4: performance isn't free. In a series of studies, a psychologist
- 25:45Speaker 4: says that effortful self-presentation, the work of overriding your natural
- 25:48Speaker 4: tendencies to manage your impression of people, this is deplorable
- 25:52Speaker 4: fuel tank.
- 25:53Speaker 18: Oh, wow.
- 25:54Speaker 3: So if you're trying to just act like everything's okay
- 25:57Speaker 3: when it's totally not for the other person, that's bad.
- 26:01Speaker 4: That's bad.
- 26:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 7: I mean, that takes a lot of energy.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Spending time apart. With the right person, a weekend apart
- 26:07Speaker 4: is just a weekend. They go do their thing, you
- 26:10Speaker 4: go do your thing, and the reunion is a small
- 26:11Speaker 4: pleasure rather than a relief. With the wrong person, distance
- 26:14Speaker 4: is a live wire. Either you're the one refreshing the
- 26:16Speaker 4: phone and decoding response times, or you're the one on
- 26:19Speaker 4: trial for wanting a night with your friends. Interesting, right?
- 26:22Speaker 3: Yeah. I just had like a week away from my
- 26:25Speaker 3: wife and I thought it was, I missed her, but
- 26:28Speaker 3: it was cool when she came back. And there was
- 26:30Speaker 3: none of that.
- 26:30Speaker 8: You shouldn't be worried if your man goes on a
- 26:33Speaker 8: boy's trip or something.
- 26:34Speaker 3: You're busy. You text me when you can text. We'll
- 26:36Speaker 3: talk when you can talk.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Making small decisions together. Where should we eat? Which movie?
- 26:40Speaker 4: Whose family gets Thanksgiving this year? Those aren't hard problems.
- 26:43Speaker 4: They're barely problems with the right person. They resolve in
- 26:46Speaker 4: 90 seconds because both of you are actually trying to
- 26:48Speaker 4: land the plane. With the wrong person, where should we
- 26:51Speaker 4: ease a trap with three exits, all locks, right? I mean,
- 26:54Speaker 4: it's so interesting. Hear about being stressed while they're in
- 26:58Speaker 4: the room. Bad news arrives, the email, the diagnosis, the
- 27:01Speaker 4: number that doesn't add up. With the right person nearby,
- 27:03Speaker 4: the bad news is still bad, but it's somehow sized differently.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Their present works like whatever. With the wrong person, stress compounds.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Now there are two problems, the original one and managing
- 27:13Speaker 4: their anxiety, their opinions, their need to make your crisis
- 27:16Speaker 4: about them. Interesting, right?
- 27:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:19Speaker 4: So take that with you. If you're sitting there right
- 27:22Speaker 4: now and you're listening to this thinking whether you're with
- 27:23Speaker 4: the right person or the wrong person, maybe we gave
- 27:25Speaker 4: you some answers.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Or it might be time for you to bounce.
- 27:28Speaker 14: You know when it gets to last call and all
- 27:30Speaker 14: the dudes kind of start creeping up on you?
- 27:33Speaker 3: We have the solution.
- 27:34Speaker 8: Give them the.
- 27:35Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich drunk dial line.
- 27:37Speaker 2: 602-888-1933.
- 27:37Speaker 4: It's John Jay and Rich. What are you laughing at, Kyle?
- 27:46Speaker 10: Oh my gosh, you guys, there's this Reddit thread that's
- 27:48Speaker 10: like literally blowing up and I'm dying right now. Okay,
- 27:51Speaker 10: so this person shared a story about how they started
- 27:53Speaker 10: a new job and they're going over all of the rules, right?
- 27:57Speaker 10: And they throw in, oh, and also there's no air
- 27:59Speaker 10: fryers at your desk.
- 28:00Speaker 7: And they're like, that was kind of out of the blue.
- 28:03Speaker 7: So of course I had to like investigate. Now why
- 28:05Speaker 7: when they're... training in the onboard session. Do you have
- 28:08Speaker 7: to say this?
- 28:09Speaker 10: And apparently one guy was making wings during like a
- 28:13Speaker 10: zoom and like, like it like started like smoking and
- 28:18Speaker 10: set out the fire alarm and.
- 28:19Speaker 7: Literally like the whole building had to be like exit.
- 28:23Speaker 10: And then so, and then so like everyone else, they're like,
- 28:25Speaker 10: so are we the only one?
- 28:27Speaker 7: Are we the only business that has like these weird rules?
- 28:29Speaker 7: Because one idiot messed it up.
- 28:31Speaker 10: And all these people are sharing all these different, like,
- 28:34Speaker 10: weird rules they have and the reasons behind them. So, like,
- 28:39Speaker 10: one rule was there's no fish anywhere in the building.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Well, yeah, that's obvious.
- 28:42Speaker 7: And it's like, someone reheated salmon every day for a week.
- 28:45Speaker 7: People complain, blah, blah, blah, blah. No alcohol in desk drawers.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Like.
- 28:49Speaker 10: Apparently, this was a big enough problem that they felt
- 28:51Speaker 10: the need to actually make that an official rule in
- 28:55Speaker 10: the building.
- 28:56Speaker 7: John, you're going to hate this one, but no bare
- 28:58Speaker 7: feet in the office.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Oh, that's terrible.
- 29:00Speaker 10: Because one guy would kick off his shoes every day,
- 29:02Speaker 10: and apparently his feet were so bad, like HR had
- 29:04Speaker 10: to get involved, and they just.
- 29:06Speaker 7: Had to do this blanket rule.
- 29:08Speaker 3: That makes it into the company mandate.
- 29:11Speaker 10: There was one that was like no changing clothes in
- 29:14Speaker 10: the conference rooms because someone kept using the conference rooms
- 29:17Speaker 10: like their dress room before like dates and co-workers walked
- 29:20Speaker 10: in on this guy more than once oh.
- 29:22Speaker 8: My gosh that would happen here do you know how
- 29:24Speaker 8: many times I randomly like go and change in random
- 29:27Speaker 8: rooms here you always have to like have a guard
- 29:29Speaker 8: out for you.
- 29:30Speaker 10: I know and then this one made me laugh so
- 29:32Speaker 10: bad because I feel like like we would never follow
- 29:35Speaker 10: this rule right here on the John Jay and Rich
- 29:37Speaker 10: show no costumes unless it's an official costume day.
- 29:42Speaker 8: I want to come in costume every day.
- 29:45Speaker 9: You know what?
- 29:45Speaker 3: Maybe you're out of laundry. The only thing you have
- 29:47Speaker 3: left is your Halloween getup.
- 29:49Speaker 10: Somebody apparently wore a full Spider-Man suit to work because
- 29:52Speaker 10: he lost a fantasy football bet, but he refused to
- 29:55Speaker 10: take the mask off in meetings.
- 29:57Speaker 8: What? That is a good friend right there. He knows
- 30:01Speaker 8: how to hold down his phone.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Hold on a second. Hold on. Reese, you got one
- 30:05Speaker 4: of these weird rules at work?
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, man.
- 30:07Speaker 20: I'm so glad you guys are talking about this right
- 30:09Speaker 20: now because, like, my company has this new rule where
- 30:12Speaker 20: we're not allowed to bring anyone back to our, like,
- 30:16Speaker 20: company hotel when we're out. And this guy, he brought
- 30:20Speaker 20: some girl back to his room. And then the next
- 30:23Speaker 20: day he woke up, laptop, wallet, like work phone, keys,
- 30:27Speaker 20: everything was gone.
- 30:29Speaker 18: They ended up finding it.
- 30:31Speaker 20: Like they tracked the phone down to the strip club.
- 30:35Speaker 20: The girl had used his company credit card, $ 600 at Target.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Oh no.
- 30:40Speaker 20: So now we're not allowed to bring anyone to our
- 30:42Speaker 20: hotel room.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Just one guy. Just his bad move ruined it for everybody.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Because what?
- 30:48Speaker 8: He got robbed?
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah. So one person screwed it all up.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody can have fun anymore.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Yeah, he ruined it for everyone.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Thanks, Reese. Thanks for calling in. Let's do that.
- 30:57Speaker 5: 877-937-1047.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Let's hear about any kind of weird rules you have
- 31:01Speaker 4: at work because one person screwed it up. I always
- 31:04Speaker 4: think that sometimes when I go to certain places, you
- 31:06Speaker 4: go to the bathroom, it'll say... Oh, don't flush. It'll
- 31:09Speaker 4: say only flush toilet paper in the toilet. And I'm like,
- 31:12Speaker 4: what the hell else people put in there? I know,
- 31:14Speaker 4: but somebody, somebody threw something in there, uh, cause the
- 31:18Speaker 4: toilet to overflow. And he said, why would you throw
- 31:20Speaker 4: this toaster in here? No more toasters in the toilet.
- 31:23Speaker 4: We want to hear your dumb rule at work. We
- 31:26Speaker 4: want you to be part of the show. Call us 877-937-1047.
- 31:29Speaker 14: Get on the air with John Jay and Rich.
- 31:35Speaker 3: We want to know your weird work rules.
- 31:37Speaker 11: Mickey Ray, good morning.
- 31:39Speaker 8: Good morning.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Where do you work? I am a dog groomer.
- 31:42Speaker 4: I actually work at Petco.
- 32:03Speaker 13: And we are no longer allowed to wear our headphones.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Because?
- 32:12Speaker 13: Because employees couldn't get along. And it's always kind of
- 32:16Speaker 13: been a rule that we weren't supposed to. But they
- 32:19Speaker 13: let us slide on it because I work in the
- 32:21Speaker 13: grooming salon. You know, it's high stress. And then these
- 32:25Speaker 13: employees were fighting with each other in front of other customers.
- 32:29Speaker 13: And so they took that privilege away.
- 32:32Speaker 3: What if we had that rule that you couldn't wear
- 32:33Speaker 3: any headphones? I guess that would never be a rule here.
- 32:37Speaker 8: I thought it was going to be like they were
- 32:38Speaker 8: forcing them to talk in makeup. So you had to
- 32:41Speaker 8: block them out by their headphones.
- 32:44Speaker 13: Right.
- 32:48Speaker 4: The benefit of headphones when you're grooming is that you
- 32:50Speaker 4: don't have to hear the shears and all that stuff, right?
- 32:52Speaker 4: So you've got headphones in, you listen to music. It
- 32:54Speaker 4: makes sense to me that you would have headphones on.
- 32:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 13: And it just like, when you have a dog that's
- 32:59Speaker 13: misbehaving or even like the blow dryers that we're using,
- 33:03Speaker 13: like it just gets loud and overwhelming and it just,
- 33:07Speaker 13: it helps to have something in your ear.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Okay. That's a weird work rule at Petco where the
- 33:13Speaker 4: pets go. Thanks Mickey Ray. Thanks for calling in. Have
- 33:17Speaker 4: a great day.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:18Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 33:19Speaker 21: You too.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Hello, Sabrina.
- 33:21Speaker 4: So Kyle found this Reddit talking about weird work rules.
- 33:25Speaker 4: It's hard to say that weird work rules.
- 33:26Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Do you have one, Sabrina?
- 33:28Speaker 18: Say it three times real fast. None of the men
- 33:39Speaker 18: in production are allowed to use the front restroom. Only
- 33:41Speaker 18: the women. If there's a guy in the office, he's
- 33:44Speaker 18: allowed to use the front restroom because the production guys
- 33:47Speaker 18: are gross.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Somebody ruined it for everybody else. They got to walk
- 33:51Speaker 3: all the way to the back.
- 33:53Speaker 18: I know who ruined it, and I was like, nope,
- 33:57Speaker 18: it's not happening anymore.
- 33:58Speaker 4: And where do you work, Sabrina? What kind of work?
- 34:02Speaker 18: Denmark Foods. I'm an accountant for Denmark Foods.
- 34:05Speaker 4: Denmark Foods, huh?
- 34:06Speaker 3: What's that?
- 34:07Speaker 18: Yeah, like brats and stuff you buy at Fry's or
- 34:10Speaker 18: Safeway and ground chicken, ground pork. But we do a
- 34:16Speaker 18: lot of brats and jalapeno boppers.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Well, thank you for calling in and sharing that weird
- 34:21Speaker 4: work rule.
- 34:24Speaker 18: Thank you. Have a nice day.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Good morning, Emily.
- 34:28Speaker 21: Hey, so my work role is just for me only.
- 34:32Speaker 21: My boss tells me I'm not allowed to talk to
- 34:34Speaker 21: the new people.
- 34:35Speaker 18: So they're out of training.
- 34:36Speaker 6: Too distracting.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Too distracting.
- 34:40Speaker 12: Too witty.
- 34:42Speaker 21: I don't know, but that's just a personal rule. She
- 34:44Speaker 21: catches me talking to them.
- 34:45Speaker 17: She has to go, this is about work, right?
- 34:47Speaker 21: And I'll have to usually just lie. You're like, I'm just.
- 34:52Speaker 8: Trying to get to know them.
- 34:54Speaker 21: I'm showing them how to talk to customers.
- 34:56Speaker 6: That's how we do it here.
- 34:57Speaker 3: That's a whole other subcategory. What is the work rule
- 35:00Speaker 3: for just you? That's your job.
- 35:04Speaker 21: Yeah, I feel like most people should get fired if
- 35:06Speaker 21: they have a personal rule, but I don't know. I've
- 35:08Speaker 21: been there for like four and a half years, so
- 35:10Speaker 21: I think they let it slide.
- 35:11Speaker 3: You're just being friendly. And what kind of work do
- 35:13Speaker 3: you do, Emily?
- 35:15Speaker 21: I'm a bartender and server, so, you know, you got
- 35:18Speaker 21: to have a personality. You got to be fun.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Totally. Where do you bartend?
- 35:23Speaker 21: It's called Rick's on 95th. It's like a mile from
- 35:27Speaker 21: the Cardinal Stadium.
- 35:28Speaker 5: It's just a bar grill.
- 35:30Speaker 21: Yeah, it's pretty good food. If you guys are in
- 35:32Speaker 21: the area, come check it out.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Oh, it's good food?
- 35:34Speaker 2: What kind of food?
- 35:35Speaker 3: When you say it's good food, what kind of food?
- 35:37Speaker 21: It's just regular bar food, like burgers, pizza, sandwiches, abs.
- 35:41Speaker 21: They even have some little authentic Mexican dishes in there.
- 35:45Speaker 16: Like ceviche, video tacos, stuff like that.
- 35:48Speaker 21: It's actually really good for bar food.
- 35:50Speaker 5: All right.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Sounds good. You got it. Next time I go to
- 35:52Speaker 3: Cardinal's game, I'll pop by.
- 35:54Speaker 21: Yeah, and the first game today for NFL, guys. So
- 35:56Speaker 21: come in.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I'll be there.
- 35:57Speaker 4: It's today.
- 35:57Speaker 5: You're right.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Have a good one. You're right. Thanks. Have a great day, Emily.
- 36:01Speaker 6: Thanks, guys.
- 36:01Speaker 12: Bye.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Speaking of food, Rich, I thought maybe it's time for
- 36:04Speaker 4: food news since you just talked about food and Rich's
- 36:06Speaker 4: new segment, Food News.
- 36:07Speaker 5: And now, John Jay and Rich present.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Food News.
- 36:13Speaker 19: Food News.
- 36:14Speaker 10: John Jay and Rich have Food News.
- 36:19Speaker 3: What I mean. I think as far as the innovation goes,
- 36:24Speaker 3: nobody is coming close to Taco Bell. And I think, Kyle,
- 36:28Speaker 3: you're going to really like this. They're teaming up with
- 36:30Speaker 3: salt in straw ice cream.
- 36:33Speaker 8: I saw this.
- 36:33Speaker 3: It's an ice cream taco, a churro taco.
- 36:37Speaker 10: I know, but it's sad because it's not going to
- 36:38Speaker 10: be everywhere. Like for a limited time, it's going to
- 36:41Speaker 10: be like only a couple of the restaurants have it.
- 36:43Speaker 10: I'm like, let's make it worldwide.
- 36:44Speaker 3: So it's like the choco taco, choco loco taco. It's
- 36:47Speaker 3: a new take on that. May I describe it to
- 36:50Speaker 3: you to tempt your temptations? Churro ice cream inside a
- 36:54Speaker 3: crispy waffle cone shell covered with puffed rice in a
- 36:57Speaker 3: dark chocolate flavored coating. It's $ 3. 99, and guess what, Kyle?
- 37:02Speaker 3: Next week, available nationwide for a limited time.
- 37:06Speaker 7: Limited time. Try Tuesday.
- 37:08Speaker 8: Yes, well, I saw there was one at the Taco
- 37:10Speaker 8: Bell by my house, and I was like, I'm coming
- 37:13Speaker 8: back for you.
- 37:14Speaker 3: And White Castle is teamed up with the Kelsey Brothers.
- 37:17Speaker 3: They own some kind of beer, and they're doing beer
- 37:20Speaker 3: cheese with everything.
- 37:21Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 37:21Speaker 3: And it's teamed up with their beer brand. So that
- 37:23Speaker 3: is your... Food News.
- 37:25Speaker 5: And now, John Jay and Rich present Food News.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Football is back. It is back tonight.
- 37:40Speaker 3: And you probably.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Know there is not a theme for a Wednesday night.
- 37:49Speaker 3: That's very funny.
- 37:52Speaker 7: Yeah, tonight's like a Super Bowl rematch, right? Seahawks-Patriots.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:56Speaker 7: The same people that were in the Super Bowl last year.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Oh, that's so funny.
- 37:58Speaker 3: If you asked me who was in the Super Bowl,
- 37:59Speaker 3: I'd be like, no.
- 38:00Speaker 5: I know.
- 38:01Speaker 10: I only knew that because a headline popped up this morning.
- 38:04Speaker 10: And then with it was something really cool. And I
- 38:08Speaker 10: think everybody's really excited for it. I guess the Super
- 38:11Speaker 10: Bowl this year lands on Presidency Weekend.
- 38:13Speaker 7: So the Monday after is a holiday.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Finally!
- 38:17Speaker 8: Haven't we been saying that the day after.
- 38:19Speaker 7: The Super Bowl?
- 38:20Speaker 8: Because everyone gets together for the parties. And you probably
- 38:23Speaker 8: have a little bit too much to drink and too
- 38:25Speaker 8: much dip.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 4: I saw this thing that said Miley Cyrus is confirmed
- 38:28Speaker 4: for a Super Bowl halftime show, but it's one of those.
- 38:32Speaker 4: It showed up on my feed, and then I found
- 38:34Speaker 4: the two of them. I looked at it, and I
- 38:35Speaker 4: was like, is this real? And then I clicked on
- 38:38Speaker 4: it to read the comments, and then when I clicked
- 38:39Speaker 4: out and started scrolling, everything after that was Miley Cyrus.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean, how it does that?
- 38:44Speaker 4: So I was like, I don't know.
- 38:45Speaker 3: That could be, I mean, she's got a new album out.
- 38:47Speaker 3: That makes a lot of sense.
- 38:48Speaker 8: If she doesn't do the Super Bowl, then she'll definitely
- 38:51Speaker 8: headline Coachella. But if she headlines Coachella, then maybe she'll
- 38:54Speaker 8: do the Super Bowl. So I'm like, which one are
- 38:55Speaker 8: we going to find out first?
- 38:57Speaker 4: Well, if you're her, I think you probably sell more tickets,
- 39:02Speaker 4: more albums after Super Bowl. It's like every single performer
- 39:05Speaker 4: at Super Bowl has always broken some records and stuff
- 39:07Speaker 4: like that, business-wise. Yeah. Right? I mean, or can't she
- 39:11Speaker 4: do both?
- 39:11Speaker 8: That would be epic.
- 39:13Speaker 7: She could totally do both. She's Miley.
- 39:15Speaker 4: We're going to play Minute to Win It, so we
- 39:16Speaker 4: need a contestant at 877-937-1047. Jen, you've got a weird
- 39:18Speaker 4: work rule.
- 39:18Speaker 5: I do.
- 39:18Speaker 4: I have two.
- 39:19Speaker 2: So, we are not.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Jen, you've got a weird work rule.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I do.
- 39:24Speaker 7: I have.
- 39:27Speaker 18: Two.
- 39:28Speaker 16: So we are not allowed to have any pens and
- 39:33Speaker 16: paper at our desk because of the CCPA, the Credit
- 39:38Speaker 16: Card Protection Act, because some idiot decided to write down
- 39:42Speaker 16: a credit card number and go buy a big mac
- 39:46Speaker 16: at mcdonald's.
- 39:48Speaker 3: So you're not.
- 39:49Speaker 16: I'm not i wish i was kidding i wish i
- 39:52Speaker 16: was kidding but i'm not.
- 39:54Speaker 3: That's so weird you can't have any pen or paper
- 39:57Speaker 3: at your desk so you tell me this.
- 39:58Speaker 11: Guy can't be writing anything yeah so like there's like
- 40:02Speaker 11: maybe sometimes there's like five minutes in between calls and
- 40:06Speaker 11: there's nothing to do and and so like and we
- 40:09Speaker 11: have no games on our computer um And I'm not, like,
- 40:12Speaker 11: talking crap about my job, but just, you know, we
- 40:17Speaker 11: can't do a crossword puzzle or anything like that because
- 40:20Speaker 11: we can't have any paper pens.
- 40:22Speaker 4: So you're telling me this guy writes down a number
- 40:25Speaker 4: and you can walk into McDonald's with a number on
- 40:27Speaker 4: a piece of paper and say, here's my credit card.
- 40:29Speaker 4: I'd like a Big Mac.
- 40:31Speaker 11: No, you put it in a digital app.
- 40:33Speaker 14: Wow.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Still. Beyond me. Beyond me.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I know.
- 40:37Speaker 8: He just ordered it online.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:40Speaker 6: Oh, he went on.
- 40:40Speaker 4: The McDonald's app. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Sorry, I didn't
- 40:47Speaker 4: get it.
- 40:47Speaker 7: What was the other one?
- 40:50Speaker 4: What was the other one, Jen?
- 40:53Speaker 16: We have to clock out to use the bathroom.
- 40:57Speaker 3: That's not cool.
- 40:58Speaker 4: Yeah, no kidding.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Unless you're taking like, you know, an hour and a
- 41:01Speaker 3: half in there.
- 41:02Speaker 7: Someone must have. Someone must have.
- 41:05Speaker 11: I mean, I get it, and they don't, like, you know,
- 41:08Speaker 11: their whole thing is, we're not taking you to the bathroom,
- 41:10Speaker 11: and we have two breaks, and I get that.
- 41:12Speaker 20: Same here.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Peyton makes us have a hall pass before we can
- 41:15Speaker 3: use the bathroom.
- 41:15Speaker 8: Yeah, well, because you guys literally go, like, every five minutes.
- 41:18Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
- 41:18Speaker 6: Drinking a lot of water.
- 41:23Speaker 4: I worked at the check hashing place in college and
- 41:25Speaker 4: we're in these cages. And I remember, you know, getting
- 41:28Speaker 4: paid hourly and I'd be like, I'm going to hang
- 41:30Speaker 4: out in here for a while.
- 41:31Speaker 10: That's where that happens.
- 41:34Speaker 4: All right, Jen.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in.
- 41:38Speaker 18: No problem.
- 41:38Speaker 9: Love you guys.
- 41:39Speaker 11: Have a good day.
- 41:39Speaker 4: All right. So we've got a thousand dollars. Pet Hickey's money.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Pet Hickey's the owner and the general manager of Peoria Ford.
- 41:44Speaker 4: And he gave us a thousand bucks to give away.
- 41:46Speaker 4: You got to get 10, 10 questions. Rich asked you
- 41:48Speaker 4: 10 questions. You have to get them in a row
- 41:51Speaker 4: and you have to get them right. And then you
- 41:53Speaker 4: win a thousand bucks.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Lauren, good morning.
- 41:56Speaker 15: Hi, good morning.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 41:57Speaker 3: What are you doing right now?
- 41:59Speaker 19: I'm driving my partner to work.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Oh, where does your partner work?
- 42:05Speaker 15: She works for USAA.
- 42:06Speaker 4: And then what are you doing after that?
- 42:09Speaker 19: I'm going to go get my lashes done.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Oh, okay. She's going to spend her $ 1, 000 is what
- 42:14Speaker 3: she's going to do.
- 42:15Speaker 18: So I need a couple extra bucks to afford my lashes.
- 42:19Speaker 3: All right, let's go. All right, Lauren, let's lock it in.
- 42:27Speaker 3: 60 seconds, 10 questions. Let's go. Whitney Houston's hit, I
- 42:32Speaker 3: Will Always Love You, was written by what late country
- 42:35Speaker 3: music legend?
- 42:37Speaker 18: Dolly Parton.
- 42:39Speaker 3: What 2023 biopic about the father of the atomic bomb
- 42:44Speaker 3: won the Oscar for best picture? Pass. Would you say pass?
- 42:49Speaker 4: Pass.
- 42:50Speaker 3: You can't pass.
- 42:52Speaker 19: Oh, I can't.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Then I lose.
- 42:57Speaker 3: You just got to come up with the name of
- 43:01Speaker 3: the movie. It was huge.
- 43:03Speaker 6: Okay.
- 43:03Speaker 16: Can you say it again?
- 43:05Speaker 3: What 2023 biopic about the father of the atomic bomb
- 43:07Speaker 3: won the Oscar for best picture?
- 43:16Speaker 18: I really don't know.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Shout out the name of a movie because you might
- 43:19Speaker 3: be right.
- 43:23Speaker 11: I'm not so bad at movies.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Come on.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Out of time.
- 43:32Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Okay, so Lauren, let me ask you something. You said
- 43:36Speaker 4: you're taking your partner to work and she's with you
- 43:38Speaker 4: right now?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Does she know the answer?
- 43:43Speaker 11: No, she's shaking her head no.
- 43:44Speaker 9: Wow.
- 43:46Speaker 17: I know, wow.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Looking for Oppenheimer is the name of the movie.
- 43:51Speaker 17: I would have never said that in my life.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Well, I guess you've got to pay for your own
- 43:56Speaker 3: lashes today. They're not on us today.
- 44:00Speaker 4: All right, Lauren.
- 44:01Speaker 3: I'm glad you played, though. Have fun dropping your partner off.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Thanks for listening.
- 44:04Speaker 18: Good luck with the lashes.
- 44:06Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 44:07Speaker 3: By the way, I saw this thing that said that movies.
- 44:09Speaker 4: like this year, this summer, or so far this year,
- 44:12Speaker 4: is the biggest box office draw for movies in the
- 44:14Speaker 4: history of movies.
- 44:16Speaker 3: What? Yeah. Suspicious.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Why?
- 44:20Speaker 3: Well, because, you know, it's because things are expensive. What
- 44:24Speaker 3: they really should say is how many tickets got sold,
- 44:27Speaker 3: not how much money they're making, because I'm sure back
- 44:29Speaker 3: in the day, more people went to the movies.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Well, and this is even before COVID, and this is
- 44:33Speaker 4: after COVID. So for what I heard was like, You
- 44:36Speaker 4: think about, and I was trying to think of the movie.
- 44:37Speaker 4: I was like, oh, Spider-Man and Odyssey. But then I
- 44:39Speaker 4: was like, oh wait, Obsession made a couple hundred, 500 million.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Then there was Toy Story 5. There was a lot
- 44:45Speaker 4: of big movies. What's the Rooms movie that was big too?
- 44:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Back Rooms. That's what I mean. So it's like,
- 44:49Speaker 4: it makes sense to me. It makes sense.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Spider-Man's still rocking it right now. That's a good point.
- 44:53Speaker 10: But I also see Rich's point too. It's like, how
- 44:57Speaker 10: many tickets equal that $ 100 million? Because now the tickets
- 45:00Speaker 10: are like twice the price.
- 45:01Speaker 4: But if you also go just from last year or
- 45:03Speaker 4: the year before till now to go from, I'm making
- 45:05Speaker 4: the numbers up, I don't know what it is, to
- 45:06Speaker 4: go from, you know, 2 billion people, 2 billion tickets
- 45:10Speaker 4: sold or dollars worth for, I think it was $ 5
- 45:12Speaker 4: billion so far this year.
- 45:14Speaker 3: That's big.
- 45:15Speaker 6: That is big.
- 45:15Speaker 4: That means people are going to the movies. Whereas before
- 45:17Speaker 4: it was like people, they were saying the movies are dead.
- 45:19Speaker 4: People are going to the movies, you know?
- 45:21Speaker 3: Yeah, if you make movies worth seeing, we'll go to
- 45:23Speaker 3: the movies. Yeah, and Peyton, you just saw Obsession, right?
- 45:26Speaker 6: I did.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I kind of wanted to see it because I heard
- 45:30Speaker 4: it was like really good, but also really scary. So
- 45:32Speaker 4: I didn't want to see it. So you're the first
- 45:34Speaker 4: person I've talked to that's seen it.
- 45:35Speaker 8: Yeah, I watched it on the airplane actually. And it
- 45:38Speaker 8: was good. I went into it with low expectations because
- 45:42Speaker 8: everyone had hyped this movie up so much. The girl
- 45:45Speaker 8: who plays the main character, she does a fantastic job.
- 45:48Speaker 8: And it's definitely one of those movies where it's like, okay,
- 45:52Speaker 8: Who's in the wrong here? It's like you have this
- 45:56Speaker 8: girl who's obsessed, but there's a reason that she's obsessed.
- 45:59Speaker 8: And it's because of her male friend. And he does
- 46:01Speaker 8: this whole little like spell almost on her. And then
- 46:06Speaker 8: everything else transpires. So by the end of the movie,
- 46:08Speaker 8: you're like at the end of the day, who's really wrong?
- 46:11Speaker 8: I didn't find it scary.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Like, the actress you're talking about, she's, like, getting all
- 46:15Speaker 4: kinds of roles now.
- 46:16Speaker 8: She's, like, in talks for, like, I think an Oscar
- 46:19Speaker 8: nomination for Obsession.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Like, the next movie, like, I think they tried to
- 46:23Speaker 4: get her in the MCU.
- 46:24Speaker 6: Oh, really?
- 46:24Speaker 8: Yeah. That would be awesome.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:26Speaker 8: And she's like totally taking off. And I guess I
- 46:30Speaker 8: came across a video of her when she applied for
- 46:33Speaker 8: whatever role it was. She didn't send in a headshot.
- 46:36Speaker 8: She sent in like a bunch of candid photos. And
- 46:38Speaker 8: then basically they're like, she sticks out. She's kind of
- 46:41Speaker 8: odd looking in the picture.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Her name, if you told me her name.
- 46:44Speaker 8: Indy Navarette.
- 46:44Speaker 3: That's it.
- 46:45Speaker 4: That's it. She's getting, there's a lot of hype behind her.
- 46:47Speaker 4: I don't know how you found us.
- 46:50Speaker 14: But I'm so thankful that you did. It's John Jay
- 46:54Speaker 14: and Rich.
- 46:54Speaker 4: Hey, Jeff, what's up, man? You're on the air.
- 46:57Speaker 5: Hey, so I called in last week. I was talking
- 46:59Speaker 5: about Lanterns with you guys.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:01Speaker 5: And you told me to watch the Ray Gunn documentary
- 47:03Speaker 5: on Netflix. Yeah. Fantastic. It was amazing. Right. I did
- 47:09Speaker 5: not realize that that culture was. as weird as it
- 47:13Speaker 5: is but it's great yeah is.
- 47:15Speaker 4: It still in the olympics or are they taking out
- 47:17Speaker 4: i feel like they took it out they took us
- 47:19Speaker 4: you know maybe because of that yeah it's no longer
- 47:22Speaker 4: gonna be olympics.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Like we don't need to embarrass but they kept curling in.
- 47:24Speaker 4: All right hey jeff let me bounce a couple other
- 47:26Speaker 4: tv shows off you did you watch on netflix the
- 47:28Speaker 4: whole donald trump uh taking the president sneaking him out
- 47:30Speaker 4: of the airplane it's like number two on netflix I
- 47:33Speaker 4: have not.
- 47:34Speaker 5: I heard you guys talking about it this morning, and
- 47:35Speaker 5: I'm going to have to watch it now since it's
- 47:37Speaker 5: only like a 28-minute documentary.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Let's do it. Let's go. It's really good. Okay, did
- 47:40Speaker 4: you watch the most recent, the whole Monsters of God?
- 47:45Speaker 5: Yes, that is like, I'm so glad that they Tiger
- 47:50Speaker 5: King lizards for that. It just makes me so happy.
- 47:53Speaker 4: If you guys, it's so it's five episodes. The most
- 47:55Speaker 4: recent episode came out Sunday. I watched it yesterday and
- 47:59Speaker 4: what I, it's so fascinating about this reptile drug smuggling
- 48:02Speaker 4: ring and they're going after this guy, Anson Wong, right.
- 48:06Speaker 4: And they're building up to it. And it's so interesting
- 48:08Speaker 4: how I'm not, I mean, I'm not ruining it. It's
- 48:10Speaker 4: a documentary, but they, They get him. And the way
- 48:13Speaker 4: they get him is unbelievable. And they actually get him
- 48:16Speaker 4: on the documentary to talk about what happened.
- 48:18Speaker 7: Oh, I was wondering if he was going to be on.
- 48:20Speaker 7: I just started that episode.
- 48:21Speaker 4: He's on.
- 48:22Speaker 5: Oh, no, no, he is.
- 48:24Speaker 4: And then the last episode, it takes place here.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 48:28Speaker 4: There's one of the guys that's talking throughout the documentary,
- 48:30Speaker 4: and you find out at the end that he has still,
- 48:35Speaker 4: and he lives here, he's got stuff here.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Like dragons and.
- 48:38Speaker 4: things and it's really loony yeah it's it's really and
- 48:43Speaker 4: then there's a one guy who helped catch ensign long
- 48:45Speaker 4: he's from here it's.
- 48:47Speaker 5: Like it all yeah no it's it's crazy that.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Show goes so sideways so fast i think i'm only
- 48:54Speaker 3: on episode three or four but they're getting into the
- 48:55Speaker 3: drugs being brought in along with it and all the
- 48:59Speaker 3: millions of pounds of cocaine that they're smuggling underneath snakes
- 49:03Speaker 3: in a bag it's just ridiculous.
- 49:05Speaker 10: This documentary has me like nervous in a weird way
- 49:08Speaker 10: because my bonus daughter she actually works at the herpetological
- 49:11Speaker 10: center and like before this documentary I'm like maybe she'll
- 49:15Speaker 10: meet a nice guy at work and I'm like.
- 49:17Speaker 4: Don't date anyone in that.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Industry laughing And you know what?
- 49:20Speaker 5: No one in the industry.
- 49:22Speaker 4: That guy, Anson Wong, the main guy that did it,
- 49:25Speaker 4: he got prison time. He's out and he's like, I
- 49:29Speaker 4: came back stronger than before. And now he can't, he's
- 49:32Speaker 4: banned from the United States and he's in Malaysia and
- 49:34Speaker 4: he is smuggling things like crazy. And it's the big,
- 49:36Speaker 4: the business is bigger than it's ever been before. It's
- 49:38Speaker 4: like a $ 9 billion business. So that's on HBO max.
- 49:42Speaker 4: I recommend that. And then the, the new lanterns is
- 49:44Speaker 4: pretty kick-ass too. Did you see that Jeff?
- 49:46Speaker 5: I haven't had a chance yet because of my work schedule.
- 49:49Speaker 5: And so I'm going to get into it, but the third,
- 49:52Speaker 5: but Oh, episode three was so good. I can't wait
- 49:57Speaker 5: to watch episode four. I'm actually going to probably get
- 49:59Speaker 5: ready to do that before I go to bed because
- 50:01Speaker 5: I just got off work.
- 50:02Speaker 4: Well, today, there's a lot of TV today now. Today
- 50:04Speaker 4: drops the new Reacher. Are you guys up to date
- 50:06Speaker 4: on Jack Reacher?
- 50:08Speaker 7: Yes, but not the newest episode.
- 50:10Speaker 4: The episode, not the one that came out today, but
- 50:12Speaker 4: last week's episode, I don't know how he's going to survive.
- 50:15Speaker 9: I know.
- 50:15Speaker 7: He literally is like, we're about to die.
- 50:18Speaker 4: It should start off today where he's dead because there's
- 50:22Speaker 4: no way this guy can survive.
- 50:24Speaker 7: And Jack Reacher.
- 50:24Speaker 10: Always gets himself into these situations where he's dead. about
- 50:28Speaker 10: to die or he's about to get busted and then
- 50:30Speaker 10: somehow finds his way out and this is the first
- 50:32Speaker 10: time i've ever heard him say we're gonna.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Die in 30 minutes we are gonna be dead and
- 50:35Speaker 4: then they cut to 30 minutes and something happens and
- 50:37Speaker 4: it's like well yeah i guess that's it but i'm
- 50:40Speaker 4: gonna watch the first five minutes of the episode just
- 50:42Speaker 4: during that during the next song we play okay good
- 50:44Speaker 4: idea just to make sure he's okay and then there's
- 50:46Speaker 4: a new ted lasso that drops today too and by
- 50:48Speaker 4: the way tennis last night if anyone watched tennis last
- 50:50Speaker 4: night carlos alcarez lost to ben shelton It was a late,
- 50:53Speaker 4: late night tennis. I went to bed at eight and
- 50:55Speaker 4: my wife was like, I'm going to stay up and
- 50:56Speaker 4: watch this.
- 50:57Speaker 3: And so I, it didn't start till 11.
- 50:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 51:00Speaker 8: Four hours. They didn't stop. I think the time literally
- 51:02Speaker 8: stopped at three 33.
- 51:05Speaker 3: They've been playing.
- 51:05Speaker 4: Those two played tennis together against each other. I'm going
- 51:08Speaker 4: to say like 15 times and Carlos Alcaraz has beat
- 51:11Speaker 4: him every time.
- 51:12Speaker 3: So it was really big.
- 51:13Speaker 8: Did you see him like throwing up into his towel?
- 51:15Speaker 4: Because he lost?
- 51:16Speaker 8: No, because he was like just giving it his all.
- 51:19Speaker 8: Like Ben Shelton was giving him a run for his money.
- 51:21Speaker 3: All right, Jeff.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Have a great day, darling. Call in anytime you want
- 51:26Speaker 4: to talk TV. I love talking TV.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Of course, man.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Thanks, man.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Chelsea, you want to talk TV? What do you got, Chelsea?
- 51:33Speaker 15: Yeah, so I wanted to see if anybody's been caught
- 51:35Speaker 15: up on The Lioness.
- 51:37Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 51:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 51:38Speaker 3: And we're on TV.
- 51:40Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 51:40Speaker 3: That's my favorite show.
- 51:41Speaker 11: So good.
- 51:42Speaker 15: Yes, mine, too. And I love how they've implemented the
- 51:45Speaker 15: war between Russia and Ukraine. And, you know, because it
- 51:48Speaker 15: kind of makes you think like, what's the conspiracy really
- 51:50Speaker 15: behind all of this? And where are they getting their information?
- 51:53Speaker 14: I mean.
- 51:54Speaker 15: Anyway, the episode is crazy. The last episode, episode six
- 51:57Speaker 15: was just hard to watch because you want her to
- 52:00Speaker 15: be found this whole time, but no spoiler alerts. But yeah,
- 52:03Speaker 15: I just want to see where everybody's at on the
- 52:05Speaker 15: episode and what they think.
- 52:06Speaker 4: Okay. So you say no spoiler alert, but let me
- 52:08Speaker 4: tell you, there's a girl, Zoe Saldana, she's been kidnapped
- 52:11Speaker 4: by the Iranians and the Russians and they're torturing her
- 52:13Speaker 4: little by little.
- 52:14Speaker 3: Right.
- 52:15Speaker 4: And I was, had so much anticipation for this episode
- 52:18Speaker 4: because I didn't know, because it's brutal, the torture stuff
- 52:20Speaker 4: they show her, right? In fact, the scene where the
- 52:23Speaker 4: guy tells her what he's going to do to her
- 52:25Speaker 4: is so disturbing. She starts crying.
- 52:27Speaker 3: It's so disturbing.
- 52:29Speaker 4: So before that episode dropped, I follow her on Instagram,
- 52:33Speaker 4: and she holds up a fake foot.
- 52:35Speaker 13: Yeah, with a toe cut off.
- 52:37Speaker 4: With a toe cut off. And I'm like, what? Oh,
- 52:39Speaker 4: my God, they must cut off her toe. Sure enough,
- 52:42Speaker 4: the guy takes a knife and snaps her toe. And
- 52:45Speaker 4: there's blood and she starts screaming. I'm like, no wonder
- 52:47Speaker 4: she won an Academy Award because when I'm watching it,
- 52:49Speaker 4: I believe her toga.
- 52:51Speaker 3: That show, it's almost like I feel like you're watching
- 52:54Speaker 3: something you're not supposed to be watching. Like they're giving
- 52:57Speaker 3: us information about how stuff really works and espionage that
- 53:01Speaker 3: you should not know. And I got to believe there's
- 53:04Speaker 3: some truth to it.
- 53:05Speaker 9: Totally.
- 53:05Speaker 8: I feel like there's some things in TV that like
- 53:07Speaker 8: you just can't.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Make that stuff up. They just did it. They just
- 53:10Speaker 3: gave you the, well, that's what they say. They say,
- 53:12Speaker 3: if you want to share a truth, do it through art.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Right.
- 53:14Speaker 6: Right.
- 53:15Speaker 3: So I wonder how much of that is legit. Sounds
- 53:18Speaker 3: like a lot.
- 53:19Speaker 4: I believe it, too. I believe all of it.
- 53:20Speaker 3: Chelsea, thanks for calling in. Thank you for listening.
- 53:22Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Bye.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Have a great day.
- 53:24Speaker 9: Bye.
- 53:25Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich.
- 53:26Speaker 4: How to tell a couple has a truly happy marriage.
- 53:32Speaker 4: The website I go to every once in a while
- 53:34Speaker 4: is called yourtengo.com, and they did all this research on it.
- 53:36Speaker 4: So I have. This is how you can tell. I mean,
- 53:39Speaker 4: I'm just going to go over with you. Number one,
- 53:42Speaker 4: how to tell a couple has a truly happy marriage.
- 53:45Speaker 4: A cozy space for having deep conversations, right? The happiest
- 53:51Speaker 4: of couples love having deep talks with each other. about
- 53:54Speaker 4: all sorts of things. They may not always want to
- 53:56Speaker 4: do it intentionally, but they often have a space in
- 53:58Speaker 4: their home that becomes their designated space to sit down
- 54:01Speaker 4: and share the details of their work days or fill
- 54:04Speaker 4: each other in with gossip about family and friends. When
- 54:06Speaker 4: something goes wrong, they need to brainstorm through the problem
- 54:08Speaker 4: together and it's just one place in their house.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Peyton, do you have that?
- 54:11Speaker 8: I feel like that's just like our bedroom. That's just
- 54:13Speaker 8: pillow talk.
- 54:14Speaker 4: It's interesting for you because you live with your grandmother
- 54:17Speaker 4: and your parents. Exactly.
- 54:18Speaker 8: So we have no space to ourself, which is why
- 54:20Speaker 8: our bedroom is literally our safe space. So that's what
- 54:23Speaker 8: I would say.
- 54:24Speaker 4: Do you have that, Kyle?
- 54:25Speaker 10: I don't think there's like a designated spot. We'll find
- 54:28Speaker 10: ourselves in conversation in the kitchen, on the couch, wherever.
- 54:34Speaker 3: Not where you have sex.
- 54:38Speaker 7: No, John Jay.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Not that.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Photos of themselves and their families. Having framed photos on
- 54:44Speaker 4: display around your home can make us truly happy, especially
- 54:46Speaker 4: when they center around warm, nostalgic memories. These pictures are
- 54:50Speaker 4: reminders of the love we share with the people in
- 54:52Speaker 4: our lives, even when it's easy to get caught up
- 54:54Speaker 4: in everyday demands and obligations. The happiest couples are proud
- 54:58Speaker 4: of their relationship and probably talk a lot about it,
- 55:00Speaker 4: but they also broadcast happy memories of each other at home.
- 55:04Speaker 4: They're proud to love out loud, even if it's just
- 55:07Speaker 4: the two of them. So that's important.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Photos of themselves and their family. A shared calendar. Instead
- 55:13Speaker 4: of being completely on different pages or even worse, being
- 55:15Speaker 4: secretive about where they're spending their time, happy couples often
- 55:18Speaker 4: share calendars. A calendar may seem purely logistical, but it's
- 55:23Speaker 4: very important to a marriage to have shared calendars.
- 55:25Speaker 8: Yes, 100%. I will say that is one thing as
- 55:28Speaker 8: like a newlywed that Kadeem and I implemented right after
- 55:31Speaker 8: we got married. And it's like, it takes away any
- 55:34Speaker 8: of the extra stress. Like, you know what I mean?
- 55:36Speaker 8: It's like, if I don't know where you're at, I'm
- 55:37Speaker 8: just going to check the calendar. I know where you're at.
- 55:39Speaker 8: Just check the calendar.
- 55:41Speaker 4: Hold on a second.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Hey, Floor, what's up? You're on the air.
- 55:44Speaker 7: Buenos dias, guys.
- 55:45Speaker 4: Buenos dias.
- 55:47Speaker 15: We're listening to you guys.
- 55:48Speaker 11: We're just pumped and ready to win these Disney tickets.
- 55:52Speaker 4: Okay, well, that's coming up in about two and a
- 55:54Speaker 4: half minutes, three minutes. You got to keep listening.
- 55:57Speaker 6: We will.
- 55:57Speaker 4: All right. Thanks, Laura. Have a great day. Yeah, you
- 55:59Speaker 4: just got to know the magic words and That's coming
- 56:02Speaker 4: up just a little bit. All right, these are the
- 56:04Speaker 4: signs of a happy couple. Equipment or supplies for a
- 56:07Speaker 4: shared hobby. Lots of people like to say opposites attract,
- 56:09Speaker 4: and sometimes that's true. But it's far more common for
- 56:12Speaker 4: successful couples to share the same interests and hobbies than
- 56:15Speaker 4: for them not to. If you visit a couple's house
- 56:18Speaker 4: and you see there's mountain bikes parked on the side
- 56:20Speaker 4: or hiking shoes placed waiting for their next adventure, that's
- 56:23Speaker 4: a good sign you're in the presence of a happy couple.
- 56:25Speaker 3: That's cool. Separate spaces. I think this is very important.
- 56:29Speaker 4: While it might sound counterintuitive in a close relationship, having
- 56:32Speaker 4: space for yourself at home can actually deepen your connection.
- 56:35Speaker 4: If you feel like your entire life and sense of
- 56:37Speaker 4: self revolve around your relationship, the relationship itself sometimes becomes
- 56:41Speaker 4: a point of anxiety rather than a safe space. Some
- 56:43Speaker 4: of the healthiest couples have their own space. Yeah, I
- 56:45Speaker 4: got a whole basement.
- 56:47Speaker 8: Your man cave.
- 56:49Speaker 3: It's an underground man cave.
- 56:52Speaker 4: A dedicated place for their phones when they're not being used.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Too much screen time and distraction notifications from your phones
- 56:58Speaker 4: can slowly chip away at the relationship over time. Yeah,
- 57:01Speaker 4: that's a big deal. Sometimes I'll be like, if my wife,
- 57:04Speaker 4: if I'm talking to her and she's on her phone,
- 57:06Speaker 4: I just stop talking. And I'll just wait for you
- 57:08Speaker 4: to put your phone down because I've already learned.
- 57:10Speaker 3: Do you make the noise, the John Jay noise?
- 57:12Speaker 4: No, I've already learned that we'll have a conversation if
- 57:15Speaker 4: she's on her phone, whatever I'm saying doesn't. Makes sense.
- 57:19Speaker 3: It's not connecting.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Making plans to whatever it is. You know, even if
- 57:21Speaker 4: it's something that just happened five minutes ago, she doesn't
- 57:23Speaker 4: get it. Decorative touches that blend each of their personal styles.
- 57:27Speaker 4: When you share a home with someone, you also have
- 57:29Speaker 4: to share the vibe. So it's ideal to make it safe,
- 57:32Speaker 4: enjoyable space for both people, right? That means letting their
- 57:34Speaker 4: partner take the reins and make some decorating decisions. which
- 57:38Speaker 4: is not in my home. I have no say.
- 57:40Speaker 3: That's probably a good idea.
- 57:41Speaker 8: You do too have a say. We literally went with
- 57:42Speaker 8: you couch shopping.
- 57:44Speaker 3: You had to pick out the couch. She had to
- 57:46Speaker 3: approve the couch. This is true.
- 57:47Speaker 4: That is true.
- 57:48Speaker 3: But I like, she took down all my Star Wars posters.
- 57:50Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm like, Scott can do whatever he wants in
- 57:54Speaker 10: the garage.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Our magic words.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Magic Words for Disney Tickets is back. We're minutes away
- 57:59Speaker 4: from your next shot at a four-pack of two-day, one-park-per-day passes.
- 58:04Speaker 4: Get those magic words ready because we're going to need
- 58:06Speaker 4: three of them after Bruno Mars.
- 58:07Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich. We are like a whole vibe.
- 58:11Speaker 4: We need Caller 104. Caller 104 at 877-937-1047. The magic
- 58:18Speaker 4: is back here at Kiss. You get free tickets to
- 58:20Speaker 4: the Disneyland Resort. All you need is the magic words.
- 58:24Speaker 4: So every hour, but five minutes after the hour, like
- 58:29Speaker 4: at 10.05, 11.05, 12.05, we give you a Disney magic word.
- 58:33Speaker 4: You collect as many magic words as you can. You
- 58:36Speaker 4: collect them like Disney cards, like Disney characters. You collect
- 58:39Speaker 4: these magic words. Then every day at 8, we're going
- 58:43Speaker 4: to ask you to be caller 104. And if you
- 58:45Speaker 4: give us at least three magic words, you win free
- 58:48Speaker 4: Disney tickets. Four two-day, one part-per-day passes. And you qualify
- 58:52Speaker 4: for the grand prize. a Disney vacation for three-day, one-park-per-day
- 58:56Speaker 4: passes and hotel at the Disneyland Resort. So we're looking
- 59:00Speaker 4: for color 104 right now. What are you at right now?
- 59:03Speaker 4: Do you have a mic up in there so we
- 59:05Speaker 4: can hear her? I can't hear you now.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Color?
- 59:10Speaker 4: 42 okay okay so nick and his family were just
- 59:17Speaker 4: at disneyland And something magical happened. I mean, several magical
- 59:21Speaker 4: things happened, but this is really different. You never know
- 59:23Speaker 4: what's going to happen to you at Disneyland, right? Yeah,
- 59:25Speaker 4: it's really weird.
- 59:25Speaker 14: And you talk about like the magical moments that people
- 59:28Speaker 14: can have at Disneyland. And we've had some in the past,
- 59:33Speaker 14: but this last one, we took our kids and they
- 59:36Speaker 14: were so good all day. And like we opened the park.
- 59:41Speaker 14: And we're closing the park. That was the plan. And
- 59:43Speaker 14: they're six and four years old. And as throughout the day,
- 59:47Speaker 14: we're like, if you guys keep this up, we're going
- 59:48Speaker 14: to let you get two toys at the end of
- 59:50Speaker 14: the day. We're going to let you get two toys.
- 59:52Speaker 14: So we come around. We're going to the stores at
- 59:55Speaker 14: the end of the day. And then the fireworks display
- 59:57Speaker 14: is starting. And so, you know, like their crowds are
- 1:00:00Speaker 14: going crazy. And we make a right turn into the
- 1:00:04Speaker 14: store and it's closed. Like, oh, that's weird. So they
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: keep going down, keep going down the aisle, keep going
- 1:00:08Speaker 14: down the road, street. Turns out all the stores on
- 1:00:12Speaker 14: Main Street were closed. Every single one of them. Somebody
- 1:00:15Speaker 14: tried to like steal like a high end item and
- 1:00:18Speaker 14: they went into lockdown mode.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: So all of all of.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: The stores are closed. My kids are not normally closed.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: So my kids are so good.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: We're supposed to get kids toys.
- 1:00:26Speaker 14: And so they're like, you know, they're not throwing fits,
- 1:00:28Speaker 14: but they're upset. And my wife takes him into like
- 1:00:32Speaker 14: the hat store was the only place that was still open.
- 1:00:35Speaker 14: And we go in and you could tell they're bummed.
- 1:00:39Speaker 14: And a cast member came up and was like, did
- 1:00:41Speaker 14: you guys get to meet any friends today? And they're like, well, yeah.
- 1:00:46Speaker 14: She's like, come with me. And around the corner, I'm
- 1:00:49Speaker 14: getting goosebumps just talking about it. was Mickey and Pluto
- 1:00:54Speaker 14: by themselves. My son had just been waiting for Pluto
- 1:00:58Speaker 14: all day. He was like, like we had a full
- 1:01:02Speaker 14: like 15 minutes to just take pictures. They got to
- 1:01:05Speaker 14: pet Pluto and play with them. And it was like
- 1:01:07Speaker 14: the most beautiful thing. I'll throw up a couple of photos.
- 1:01:10Speaker 14: Cause yeah, it was, it was, did you cry?
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: I would have cried. Uh, it was, it was a
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: tear jerking moment.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: I had to leave. I had to leave because I
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: was just like, Oh my God, this.
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: Is just beautiful.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: You know, if you could put up photos, that'd be
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: fantastic on our stories. Cause I love this.
- 1:01:25Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: Especially that there was no line. I mean, because I mean,
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: it was VIP and it was literally, they were just
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: pulling you aside because those cast members are so good.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: They're so special. And it's like, it's the end of
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: the day. It's like almost 11 o'clock at night.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: And like, what is Mickey should.
- 1:01:40Speaker 14: Be in bed by then. But no, he's there just
- 1:01:42Speaker 14: making dreams come true.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: All right, so Dylan, where are we?
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: What number are.
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: You at?
- 1:01:48Speaker 17: Caller 100.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Oh, okay, caller 100. All right, we're looking for caller 104.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: And then we just need three magic words, thrice magic words.
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: Say that again.
- 1:02:05Speaker 16: Caller 104 is on line 20.
- 1:02:07Speaker 14: Okay.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Sometimes, like, you guys talk on the microphone, and sometimes
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: you guys talk on the walkie-talkie. Like, I don't know
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: what you guys are doing. It's like, why is it
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: so complicated? Okay. All right, guys. Now, listen. I'm going
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: to tell you guys, Rich, Kyle, Peyton, and me. They
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: might post this on our videos later, so look in
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: the cameras and smile and be excited. Okay. Ready?
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: Here we go. We're looking for color 104. Hello.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Good morning. John Jay and Rich.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Who's this? Kiss FM.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: Hello.
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: Hello?
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Hello, who's this?
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: Oh my God, hi, my name is Anisha.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: Anisha, you're caller 104.
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: Oh my God, stop, you're like.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: No, for real, you are.
- 1:02:50Speaker 11: Oh my gosh, I'm shaking. Okay, yay.
- 1:02:53Speaker 18: Oh my God, thank.
- 1:02:54Speaker 12: God, okay.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: Okay, so we need from you three of the magic words. Three,
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: and you get free Disneyland tickets.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: Okay, okay, okay.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: Goblin. Goblin.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Glistening.
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: And bats.
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: Yeah!
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: Woo-hoo!
- 1:03:22Speaker 8: You're going to Disneyland!
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: I'm going to cry.
- 1:03:25Speaker 11: I've never won anything.
- 1:03:28Speaker 12: Oh, awesome.
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: Oh, I'm trying not to wake up my baby.
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:03:32Speaker 21: Thank you, guys.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: You're welcome.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Congratulations.
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: I listen to you guys all the time.
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: Try not to cry. So exciting.
- 1:03:42Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Why are you trying not to cry?
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Cry. It's good. It's healthy to cry. Plus, you just
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: got a bunch of free Disney tickets.
- 1:03:49Speaker 18: I'm an ugly crier.
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: I'll cry when I hang up.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: Well, you just won four two-day, one park-per-day passes, and
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: you qualify for the grand prize at Disney Vacation, which
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: is three-day, one park-per-day passes, and a hotel at Disneyland Resort. Anissa, congratulations.
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: Oh, my God, thank you so much.
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: You got it. Thanks for listening. Hold on, let me
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: get your information. That's so great. I love when people
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: like that win. She's so happy.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: She's sweet.
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: She's so happy. Okay, hold on.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: I'm mugging for the camera real quick.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: Congratulations, Anissa. Oh, my God.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Way to go.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: We have another magic word coming up this morning at 10.05, 11.05,
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: and five minutes after the hour, every hour after that. Well,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: yesterday there was like an email going, did you guys
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: get video of the winner? And I was like, oh no.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: And I was probably like, when I looked at the video,
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: I was like reading everything. So now I'm looking into
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: the camera. So it looks like I'm actively parenting.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: You're doing a great job.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Congratulations.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich. All right, it's John Jay and Rich.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: Kyle Payton, what do you guys got for entertainment news?
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: Almost 30 years later, we are just finding out there
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: was a sixth Spice Girl.
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: Kind of. So Baby Spice.
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: And Ginger Spice reunited to finally introduce us to the
- 1:05:12Speaker 10: long-lost sixth Spice Girl.
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: It's actually Rachel Dratch. It's actually a commercial for Dunkin',
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: and it's genius. The secret to our group was that
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: everyone had their own flavor. Ginger had red hair. And
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: Baby was the youngest.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: And a lot of.
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: People don't know, but we originally had a sixth member.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: Pumpkin Spice. I like pumpkin. She had so many amazing tracks.
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: A little bit sweet, a little bit nice.
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: You want to taste my pumpkin spice.
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: I'm self-taught.
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: I feel like that pumpkin spice should have been a part.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: Of the spice crazy. All this time.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Did you see, by the way, Mel B, who is
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Sporty Spice? No, not Mel B, but whoever was... Yeah,
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: Sporty Spice. It was a video just of her two
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: days ago. And she was somewhere like New York and
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: a woman's walking by with a Spice Girls t-shirt on
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: and walks right by her. And she's like, she must
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: not be.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: A big fan. Not head on a swivel like you're
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: supposed to have. She's not noticing anything around her.
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: Lori Loughlin, she has officially filed divorce from her husband
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: of nearly 30 years, Massimo Giannulli. And basically they are
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: blaming their differences. They just cannot get on the same page.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: This comes months after they separated and listed their L.A.
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: mansion on the market last year. So this is all
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: after the public scrutiny from those college admissions scandals. So
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: they did sign a prenup, so they're not going to
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: have any issues. It's not going to be like a
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: messy divorce when it comes to that in their financials,
- 1:06:42Speaker 8: but they are definitely putting an official close to their marriage.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: He's like a billionaire. He's a billionaire?
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. But don't they, they signed a prenup, but
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: they've been married for 25 years. Don't you still split
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: what you made after?
- 1:06:54Speaker 10: I think she's just saying it's not messy because whatever
- 1:06:59Speaker 10: will be split has already been decided.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: So it's already written out.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: That dude had the best t-shirts at Target.
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: That's random.
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: There's a brand.
- 1:07:07Speaker 9: Mossimo.
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: You ever heard of Mossimo?
- 1:07:08Speaker 12: No.
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: They still have it. I told you. But it used
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: to be so much better.
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: I don't know if you guys saw this yesterday, but
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: I was kind of shocked. And there were some reports
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: coming out that Jimmy Kimmel, he is going to wrap
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: up his 24-year run. It's going to end May of 2027.
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: And I was shocked because I saw on Instagram he
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: was posting that he was celebrating his 4,000th. show coming
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: out so he hasn't confirmed anything a rep from abc
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: came out and basically was like this is purely like
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: speculative this isn't official but i do.
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: Think that i think it started leaking because like they
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: haven't renewed his contract yet and that's like i think
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: normally when it happens but maybe they're arguing what the
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: terms are.
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: Going to be or who knows and he's talked about
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: you know putting it up putting it up for wraps
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: pretty soon too so who knows we'll find that out
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: in the.
- 1:07:53Speaker 10: We got big, exciting news, and they shared it with us.
- 1:07:56Speaker 10: Sierra and Russell Wilson shared the moment they told their
- 1:08:00Speaker 10: four kids, there's another baby coming.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: What happened to the baby?
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: They still are.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Dad, chill out. Dad's a horndog.
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: I'm like, what if it's here that can't get off
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: of Russell? Because she has spoken out how much she
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: loves that man.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Yeah, but he was like a virgin until they got married.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: He was very, so I think he's like, kind of
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: like Tim Tebow. I was missing this.
- 1:08:28Speaker 10: Listen, they are enjoying married life together. They like expanding
- 1:08:31Speaker 10: their family. And we just say congratulations to them. They
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: haven't shared whether it's a boy or a girl just yet.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: But when it comes to girls, girls rule the world.
- 1:08:41Speaker 10: Sherri Shepherd is about to become the first woman ever
- 1:08:44Speaker 10: to play the genie in Broadway's Aladdin.
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: I'm very excited because now I get to be the
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: genie and give that same joy that all of the
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: genies gave me. I cannot wait.
- 1:08:56Speaker 19: I've been practicing this.
- 1:08:58Speaker 8: Broadway is dreams come true.
- 1:09:00Speaker 17: True especially now that I'm playing the genie I'm not
- 1:09:02Speaker 17: going anywhere wait.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: That's all the Disney songs from Aladdin that's all of
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: them no but I mean but like that's that's that
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: version You know, one step ahead of the bread line.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: They're doing all those songs. Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: Broadway for 12 years.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: I guess I didn't know.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: She takes over October 16th for a limited run through
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: January 3rd.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: And yeah, I think. I think it's going to be— I mean,
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: it's groundbreaking.
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: She's going to be awesome. Robert Pattinson, he has a
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: new thriller that's coming out on September 25th. It's called Primetime,
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: and it is sitting at a flawless 100% on Rotten
- 1:09:35Speaker 8: Tomatoes right now. So he plays, like, an intense early
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: 2000s TV investigative journalist, like, tracking some underground crime. So, like,
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: reports are saying this is, like, master class career best
- 1:09:48Speaker 8: from him, which I'm like, he had a phenomenal job
- 1:09:51Speaker 8: in The Odyssey, so I'm really excited to see this
- 1:09:53Speaker 8: one in theaters. Again, that comes out in just a
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: couple weeks on September 25th. Chris Rock, he is like
- 1:09:58Speaker 8: low-key begging DreamWorks to make a Madagascar 4 because he
- 1:10:02Speaker 8: said all of his Madagascar money went to his divorce.
- 1:10:05Speaker 8: He's like, Hollywood is obsessed with sequels. Ice Age got
- 1:10:10Speaker 8: five movies. Bring back Marty the Zebra. We want to
- 1:10:13Speaker 8: see it. We want the penguins. We want it all.
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: And I am on board for this. I think everyone
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: would be.
- 1:10:17Speaker 15: Why not?
- 1:10:18Speaker 10: I mean, if they've got a great storyline, all those
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: characters are so lovable.
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: I'm in.
- 1:10:23Speaker 10: I support you, Chris Rock, and your financial troubles. Entourage
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: fans are going to love a new commercial. That's right,
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: a commercial because Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier are basically
- 1:10:33Speaker 10: playing Ari and Vince again for the first time in years. Now,
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: it's sad that it's not for an Entourage reboot, but
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: it is an ad for a.
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: New app called Better.
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: And it basically shows Ari chasing Vince to give him
- 1:10:44Speaker 10: his next big gig. And he presents a movie and
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: Ari was like, he's like, no, I want to do
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: something better.
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: I want something better.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Better, better.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: We got something better.
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: I just heard that they're looking for a new face
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: for the Better app.
- 1:10:59Speaker 8: And you're the prettiest face I know. Let's do it.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: All right, let's do it. I got you two superstar
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: faces for your superstar app. We're in, baby.
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: So I'm like, what?
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: I mean, that had to be big bucks for this app.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: Like what even is this app?
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: And apparently it's the world's first real money gaming super app.
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: So I looked it up and you can bet on
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: literally anything. So obviously football games, but then they, I
- 1:11:25Speaker 10: think the thing that makes it a little different than
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: all the other betting apps is it's also like arcade games. Like,
- 1:11:29Speaker 10: you know, the casino games that are on your phone,
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: but you're playing like for real money.
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: Like casino games for real money.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: That seems dangerous.
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: What commercial I read about and heard that I got
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: very excited about that I was waiting for for the
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: longest time, a collab. Do you have it? Do you
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: know what I'm talking about? Am I breaking the news here?
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: Affleck.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Oh, I saw it. Ben Affleck is doing a commercial
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: with Affleck. I saw it. They played it during the
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Notre Dame game. Yeah, I saw it. It was great.
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: I got so happy.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: I was like, finally!
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: That's like a no-brainer. It's like they called Ben Affleck
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: last week. Hey, we want to do a commercial with
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: Affleck Insurance. What's that? Like you haven't heard?
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: What, are you even living under a rock?
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, unbelievable.
- 1:12:15Speaker 10: Okay, so really quickly, I love this because this is
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: a throwback couple that now we're getting a little inside
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: scoop on. So Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt, they met
- 1:12:25Speaker 10: on the set of Seven, right? And then dated shortly after,
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: but she says it was instant.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: I met him on set and like we had like
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: kind of a love at first sight thing.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: It was pretty awesome.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: It was really fun.
- 1:12:36Speaker 10: Were you like, oh, he's like an older Hollywood boy?
- 1:12:38Speaker 14: No, because he was so beautiful and he was, I
- 1:12:42Speaker 14: think he was 31 and I was 22.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: So it wasn't, I don't know.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: He's hot.
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: They did end up getting engaged, but then it didn't
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: work out and whatever.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: And there was a scandal.
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: The scandal was they were on the balcony naked doing it. Oh, yeah.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: And people took pictures of them doing it. You could
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: see it's junk. You could see everything. And they put
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: it in a magazine. I can't remember what magazine. Yeah,
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: they put it in a Playgirl.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: It was like, yeah, that's right.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: It was Playgirl. Yeah, it was wild. I remember telling
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: Kyle this story about five years ago when she Googled
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: the pictures and you could find it. Do you remember that?
- 1:13:09Speaker 9: No.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: It's John Jay and Rich. All right, we got tickets
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: to Chance the Rapper. We're going to play our classic
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: Remember the times. Dulce, good morning.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: Dulce.
- 1:13:25Speaker 21: Hello.
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: Hi, good morning.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Hold on, Dulce, real quick. That was Zara Larson.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: She's going to be at our iHeartRadio Music Festival along
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: with BTS, Benson Boone, Cardi B, Major Lazer Soup Doll,
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: Goo Goo Dolls. And it's almost sold. Friday night's sold out.
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: Tickets for Saturday are available and going fast now, so
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: go to AXS.com.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Okay, Dulce, you are playing for Chance the Rapper tickets.
- 1:13:45Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: Let's do it. Okay, it's Remember the Time. It's all
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: kinds of stuff. It's pop culture, movies, music, TV shows.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: They've all been mushified into a montage. All you have
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: to do, Dulce, is tell us what year it all happened.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Players ready? Let's remember the time.
- 1:14:04Speaker 8: They are contaminated.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: Put those apes down.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: You have no idea what you're dealing.
- 1:14:17Speaker 12: With I've been asked many times during this farewell season,
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: is ending the show bittersweet? Well, I say all sweet,
- 1:14:33Speaker 12: no bitter.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: Some are saying that you're bipolar. Wow, what does that mean?
- 1:14:38Speaker 20: I guess that, you know, you're on two ends of
- 1:14:40Speaker 20: the spectrum.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: Wow, and then what? What's the cure? Medicine? Make me
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: like them? Not gonna happen. I'm bi-winning.
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: Everybody looking forward to the weekend. So Rebecca Black in there?
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: A couple of little bonus clues for you. It is
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: also the launch this year of Snapchat and the Royal
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: Wedding with Kate and William. So, Dolce, you go first.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: What did you hear? What did you recognize? What year
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: do you think that all happened?
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Did you say 2027? It's happening next year. Sorry. We
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: haven't done one of those. Remember the futures yet.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I know, right?
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:15:40Speaker 17: I'm going to say 2019.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: Say that again.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: 2019?
- 1:15:48Speaker 16: 2019.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: John Jay, your move. What did you hear? What did
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: you recognize?
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: Dude, I heard so much.
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: There's a lot in that one.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: I feel like I heard a clip from almost every
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: year of the decade. It sounded like it was all
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: over the place. In fact, so you had the Game
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: of Thrones theme playing in there on purpose, right? It
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: wasn't part of Oprah's. No. Because there was Oprah's Farewell thing.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: There was Planet of the Apes. But there are so
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: many different versions of Planet of the Apes. I don't
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: know which one that was. And, of course, Born This Way.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: So I remember Gaga's thing came out in 2009. It
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: was a big, but that wasn't Born This Way. Born
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: This Way came out after that. God, that's such a
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: good montage. It's very, very difficult. 2019. God.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Snapchat, though. That's what takes me way later in the decade.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: So I'll go 20. I'm going to go 2018.
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: 2018. 2018. 2017.
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: Whoa, 2017.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: 2017.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Okay, so Dolce says 19. John Jay says 2017. Kyle,
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: it is your move.
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: Okay, there was Tiger's Blood winning, which makes me feel
- 1:16:50Speaker 10: like it's later than my original guess. Gaga, Born This Way,
- 1:16:54Speaker 10: I thought was 2010-ish. And then you said The Royal Wedding.
- 1:16:58Speaker 10: And I remember one of my friends who had gotten
- 1:17:01Speaker 10: married the year or two before watched The Royal Wedding
- 1:17:04Speaker 10: in her wedding dress.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:17:07Speaker 10: And so that leads me to believe that it was, again,
- 1:17:10Speaker 10: around 2010. So since there are a couple of the
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: other clues that make me feel like it's later, like
- 1:17:16Speaker 10: Rebecca Black Friday, that makes me feel like it's later.
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: But the other ones make me feel like it's there.
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: So I'm just going with the gut and saying 2010.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: 2010 says Kyle.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Obviously a tricky montage, Peyton.
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: It all happened the same year, though, I promise.
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: I had Planet of the Apes, Born This Way. That
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: sounded like Split, that movie Split, with the, I don't know.
- 1:17:36Speaker 8: And then Rebecca Black Friday, which is what put me
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: to my 13th birthday party. Because I remember last Friday
- 1:17:43Speaker 8: night was out at the same time, Katy Perry, which
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: puts me like 2009, 2010, 2011. So since Kyle is 2010,
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: I'm going to go 2011.
- 1:17:55Speaker 10: Because I think that's seventh grade middle school for me.
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: So we do have a winner amongst you four. So
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: the Royal Wedding, William and Kate, the launch of Snapchat,
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Born This Way,
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Lady Gaga, Oprah's Last Show, Game of Thrones, Charlie Sheen, Freakin' Out,
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: Rebecca Black's Friday. For the second time in a row,
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: your winner is Peyton with 2011.
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: Good job.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Middle school match, baby.
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: Snapchat's been around that long?
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: It sure has.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Oprah quit that long ago?
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: It's been, you know, almost 15 years, what, since Oprah quit?
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: Is that right? Yeah.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: That was a tough one, Rich. That was good. That
- 1:18:34Speaker 8: brought back some good memories. Thank you.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: Dulce, you still get the tickets?
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: All right, so hold on.
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 1:18:42Speaker 21: I graduated in 2011.
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: Where'd you go to school?
- 1:18:48Speaker 11: It's a charter school.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: What's it called?
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: Precision.
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: What was their mascot?
- 1:18:53Speaker 21: Honestly, even that one.
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: It was so small. The Precision Prison Inmates.
- 1:19:04Speaker 21: I graduated with six people, yo.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: You graduated with six people?
- 1:19:07Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: I hope you're a valedictorian because if not, you know.
- 1:19:12Speaker 11: No, the valedictorian didn't show up.
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: I'm too smart for this place.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: I do say, hold on. You got to go see
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Chance the Rapper. That charter school paid off. Thank you.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: Speaking of Oprah, do you know that Oprah Winfrey in
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: 1972 won a beauty pageant? She won Miss Black Tennessee.
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: Oh, that's cool.
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: I did not know that.
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: I didn't know she was. Was she from Tennessee?
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: She became the first black female anchor on Nashville News
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: Station the next year.
- 1:19:42Speaker 9: Oh, wow.
- 1:19:42Speaker 8: Yeah, she's a boss.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: Michelle Pfeiffer won Miss Orange County in California in 1978.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: Sharon Stone won Miss Crawford County in Pennsylvania. Halle Berry
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: won Miss Teen All-American in 1985. Vanessa Williams was Miss America,
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: the first black woman who won Miss America in 1984.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: She's awesome. And did you know that Priyanka Chopra Jones
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: was also?
- 1:20:06Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: Miss Universe, right? She was Miss India and Miss World
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: in 2000 when she was 18.
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: And his ex-girlfriend was Miss Universe.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: No way.
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: Nick Jonas?
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: So he just gets all these.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: He likes the pageant winners.
- 1:20:22Speaker 8: Beautiful draw, dropping nothing wrong with them women.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: And Rich, your wife does the Miss America pageant. Who
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: won the most recent one?
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: Miss Texas. I forget what her name is, but she
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: just won this past weekend, yeah. Her name is now
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: Miss America, dude. That's right.
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: Chocolate and Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 1:20:39Speaker 10: The Lindsey Clancy case somehow got even more complicated after
- 1:20:43Speaker 10: the mistrial because her attorney publicly asked President Trump to
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: pardon her, except the president can't pardon someone facing state
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: charges in Massachusetts. And he was interviewed afterwards and they
- 1:20:53Speaker 10: were like, I think you already know the law there.
- 1:20:56Speaker 10: So why announce publicly that you're asking the president that question?
- 1:20:59Speaker 10: And he was like, Well, what better way to get
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: the word out there?
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: He's got good.
- 1:21:03Speaker 10: Connections, so maybe he can talk to someone who can
- 1:21:05Speaker 10: make that choice. In the meantime, jurors are speaking out
- 1:21:09Speaker 10: about the 11-1 deadlock the foreperson claimed. The loan holdout
- 1:21:14Speaker 10: actually admitted he had reasonable doubt, but still wouldn't change
- 1:21:18Speaker 10: his vote.
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: Lindsay hasn't been convicted. She hasn't been acquitted.
- 1:21:22Speaker 10: Prosecutors can try her again, and the date they will
- 1:21:25Speaker 10: decide that is September 29th. Apple has its huge iPhone
- 1:21:30Speaker 10: event today. Everyone's like, Oh my gosh, after years of
- 1:21:33Speaker 10: watching Samsung and Google and all the other companies do
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: foldable phones, iPhone may actually have a foldable iPhone. Uh,
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: if they do end up releasing it today, uh, it
- 1:21:44Speaker 10: will be called apparently the iPhone duo. It will start around.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: $ 2, 000.
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: Possibly with Apple pencil support.
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: Um, This does happen to be CEO John Ternus' first
- 1:21:55Speaker 10: major product launch since taking over for Tim Cook. So
- 1:21:57Speaker 10: it's kind of like all eyes are on you, John.
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: The event starts at 10 o'clock our time. They're also
- 1:22:04Speaker 10: expecting the iPhone 18 Pro models, new Apple Watches, and
- 1:22:07Speaker 10: possibly some new AirPods.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: You know that guy, that CEO guy? He started working
- 1:22:11Speaker 4: for Apple like in 2002, 2003. And he was a
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: tech and he was making like $ 200, 000 a year. Then
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: he moved up and he was making like $ 500, 000 a year.
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: And now he's the CEO and he makes $ 26 million
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: a year.
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: Sheesh. Wow.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: Good career move. That's insane.
- 1:22:25Speaker 8: I want to know if the new, like if this
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: new iPhone flip or whatever is a part of the
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: iPhone upgrades that I pay for every month on my
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: phone bill. Because I want it. I want what you got, Kyle,
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: over there.
- 1:22:35Speaker 7: It looks nice.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: You have a good camera.
- 1:22:38Speaker 8: You can watch your TV on there.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: It's pretty cool. Although, you know, normally I jump in,
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: but that's just too high of a price to jump in.
- 1:22:46Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: Plus, I heard there's some issues.
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: You would do it.
- 1:22:48Speaker 10: No, I don't think so.
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: I've heard some negative stuff about the new flip phone
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: thing that they have the duo that there's some issues
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: right now. So I would wait until the next one
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: comes out.
- 1:22:56Speaker 8: Yeah, until like the second version.
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: Plus, I kind of like what mine does now, right now.
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: I don't need it to be any better. I just
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: need it to do what it does.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:23:03Speaker 10: Girl Scouts are adding some cookies next year.
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: Cookie season will expand. Apparently, they've been leaving out a
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: very important customer, our dogs.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Hello.
- 1:23:15Speaker 10: They are launching Patch Pals, soft-baked blueberry muffin-flavored treats made
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: specifically for dogs.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: So these are cookies that are not meant for you.
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: You don't get to eat these. Plus, they are.
- 1:23:26Speaker 10: Releasing a new human cookie called Sparkables, an oatmeal cookie
- 1:23:29Speaker 10: chip sprinkle cookie that is gluten-free, vegan, and free of
- 1:23:33Speaker 10: the nine major food allergens.
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: So those little Girl Scouts.
- 1:23:36Speaker 10: Can sell more and more and more and more and more.
- 1:23:39Speaker 10: Both are online only and start shipping when the 2027.
- 1:23:43Speaker 10: cookie season launches in January, right when everyone's trying to
- 1:23:46Speaker 10: get fit.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:23:49Speaker 10: Here in town, we got a pretty wild first look
- 1:23:51Speaker 10: at the future of flying. Right here, Joby Aviation brought
- 1:23:55Speaker 10: an autonomous aircraft to Deer Valley Airport. The plane was
- 1:23:59Speaker 10: supervised by a pilot on the ground instead of somebody
- 1:24:02Speaker 10: in the cockpit. So yeah, they're like, yeah, you got
- 1:24:05Speaker 10: self-driving cars. Why not self-driving airplanes? And Airplanes kind of
- 1:24:10Speaker 10: fly themselves once they're up in the air. But as
- 1:24:12Speaker 10: far as like the takeoff and landing and someone in
- 1:24:14Speaker 10: the cockpit, that just wasn't part of this.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: I think landing is important.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: But self-driving everything now.
- 1:24:21Speaker 10: The cool thing is, is here in Phoenix, this is
- 1:24:23Speaker 10: actually the first stop in the entire country for this
- 1:24:26Speaker 10: demo tour.
- 1:24:26Speaker 7: So Arizona got to see it before everyone else, which
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: I love.
- 1:24:28Speaker 8: It's kind of giving like drone. Like I feel like
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: I can see him just down on like a remote.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:24:34Speaker 8: Just flying in and around.
- 1:24:36Speaker 7: We are in the future, you guys.
- 1:24:39Speaker 10: As far as the D-backs goes, there are only 16
- 1:24:41Speaker 10: games left till.
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: We find out.
- 1:24:43Speaker 10: Did we get the playoffs or not and we are
- 1:24:45Speaker 10: still half a game ahead of the Padres because like
- 1:24:48Speaker 10: we keep winning and then they keep winning and then
- 1:24:49Speaker 10: we lose and then they lose and so um we
- 1:24:52Speaker 10: play the Royals tonight in Kansas City hopefully we can
- 1:24:55Speaker 10: pull off a win and pull ahead of San Diego
- 1:24:57Speaker 10: but that's a little update for you and that's what
- 1:24:59Speaker 10: you need to know Sarah Sarah good morning.
- 1:25:02Speaker 19: You're on the air good morning guys how are you.

- 1:25:18Speaker 19: thank you very, very much.

- 1:25:42Speaker 5: Well, thank you for listening.
