- 0:37end of the show oftentimes the phones really start to blow up. I know
- 0:40it takes you know, sometimes the first person to call and everyone's like,
- 0:43oh I got morn Yeah, And so I'm gonna tell you something. Folks
- 0:46call now six eight three two one thirteen ten at six three two one thirteen
- 0:51ten. We'd love to get you on the air with Tim O'Brien from The
- 0:53Healthy Place. And Tim, when folks get on the air, not only
- 0:56do we have a great conversation, you give them a little thank you for
- 0:59taking the time to chat. Twenty five dollars gift Guard just to say thank
- 1:03you. It really means a lot to me Sean when people call in because
- 1:04it helps demonstrate what our army of wellness consultants do in our stores every day.
- 1:11You know, people come in with honest questions about themselves or a loved
- 1:12one and we give them some direction. And doesn't mean that we always have
- 1:17the answers, but when you talk to enough thousands of people and you go
- 1:21through the same common conditions chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, you
- 1:25get better at it. So our team is really good at recommending and guiding
- 1:30people. So now it's a great time to call and it helps my show.
- 1:32We've had some great calls and some great questions and some great opportunities,
- 1:36and now is the time to get on the air. Six to eight three
- 1:38two one thirteen ten. That's three two one thirteen ten gets you on the
- 1:42air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Don't forget email Tim Tim at
- 1:45find your Healthy Place dot com. Speaking of that website, find your Healthy
- 1:48Place dot com. What an amazing resource that is. If you haven't been
- 1:51over there recently, check them out online find your Healthy Place dot com.
- 1:55Of course you can shop right online. You can chat live with a wellness
- 1:57consultant at the website or even stop on and they'd love to see your smiling
- 2:00face, whether it's the West side of Madison, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie location
- 2:05of the Healthy Place. And again, phone lines are open for you right
- 2:07now at six eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six o eight three
- 2:10two one thirteen ten. As autumns lining up some phone calls this morning,
- 2:15Tim, let's talk real quick about the Healthy Place. And I know we
- 2:17typically kind of end with this conversation, but I think it's probably important to
- 2:22get up front, which is a little bit about the story of the Healthy
- 2:24Place and the inspiration and kind of what runs throughout the Healthy Place, what's
- 2:29at the core of the Healthy Place, and what you and Becky and the
- 2:31team do at the Healthy Thank you man. It's mission impact, empower and
- 2:35educate every customer to learn, grow and create a lifelong foundation of health and
- 2:38wellness. That's the mission in every conversation we have, Even right now,
- 2:44there's a Wellness Consultant strategy meeting going on and the discussion was how do we
- 2:47better educate our community, how can we inspire towards hey, being the CEO
- 2:53of your own health. How can we encourage and empower and educate better as
- 2:57a team, And we keep discovering all medium large ways to do that in
- 3:01a better and a stronger way. And so that flows through our our warehouse
- 3:05with our logistics support, and our creative team, and our website team,
- 3:08and our content team, and our wellness consultant army in the stores, and
- 3:13it gets kind of exciting, Sean, because you can look at the future,
- 3:15you know, and it's it's it's fun to ask questions like what would
- 3:20it take to increase life expectancy in Madison, Wisconsin? Like what if we
- 3:24could do that by five percent in the next ten years. What if we
- 3:28could decrease you know, under the council of a medical professional. How what
- 3:31if we could decrease the amount of pharmaceutical consumption by ten percent? I mean
- 3:36some of these these results of consistently educating and impacting and empowering our community for
- 3:44themselves and their loved ones to be the CEO of their own health. So
- 3:46that's the passion that runs throughout and it's it's apparent the second you step into
- 3:50the store. Chat live with somebody online. It is absolutely amazing what they're
- 3:53able to do, and it's a great opportunity as well. Get on the
- 3:55air of this morning six two thirteen ten, that's six eight three two one.
- 4:00Team Tell let's get right to the phones this morning, and Linda joins
- 4:02us. Linda, welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim
- 4:04O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Hey, here'd morning, Linda. How are
- 4:08you? I'm good. I'd like to know I take blood pressure medicine,
- 4:12but I want to take beat choose or beat powder. Is there any problem
- 4:15with doing that? Great question? Beat powder can increase your blood pressure,
- 4:21so you'd want to be in touch with your medical professional keeping an eye on
- 4:26things. And if you are able to then that would be great because that
- 4:30has benefits for your nitric oxide, your power, strength and endurance throughout the
- 4:35day, your energy. But you, like you said, you'd want to
- 4:39be aware of your blood pressure, keeping a close eye on that because beat
- 4:42powder can kind of increase the blood pressure. Are you using it for working
- 4:46out or would it be more for strengthening your heart or if you don't mind
- 4:49me asking, okay, okay, I'll check with a pharmacist. Because I
- 4:54find a pharmacist no more than the doctors when it comes to medicine. Thank
- 4:58you. I've been told that. Yeah, and you're very welcome, Lynda.
- 5:00Great question this morning. It's real quick about beat juice. Is is
- 5:04you were you were kind of inquiring a little bit about Do we see a
- 5:08lot of athletes using beach uice to kind of help with with strengthening that that
- 5:12the cardiovascular What's what's kind of the thinking behind that, Tim, Yeah,
- 5:16power strength, endurance. So you see it in a lot of pre workouts.
- 5:20You see folks taking it before a workout to give them a bit more
- 5:26um like a nitric oxide boost. So it expands your blood vessels, so
- 5:30blood flow can be a little stronger, and you get a little more power,
- 5:33strength endurance for that workout or that game. UM. So a lot
- 5:38of a lot of benefits to it. Do you have a capsule? Yes?
- 5:43Okay, because I like what you're saying, I just and as a
- 5:47matter of fact, I will tell you this, I like beats um,
- 5:50but not everybody does, so I let to make sure that there's there's other
- 5:54options there as well. Phone lines are open six two ten that six A
- 5:59three two one team ten headed Beautiful McFarland and Mary joins us. Mary,
- 6:02welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy
- 6:04Place Morning. Hello, how can I help you? I get muscle cramps
- 6:13everywhere, not just my calves so or my thighs, but sometimes in my
- 6:17ribcage. I can move funny and get a cramp. So I take a
- 6:23lot of magnesium, three of the two fifties a day, which probably helps
- 6:30a little bit, but it doesn't seem to take care of it completely.
- 6:33And I'm wondering if there's a different supplement that is really good for muscle cramps.
- 6:39Yeah, do you mind if I ask what kind of magnesium you're taking
- 6:44right now? Glysenate? Okay, that is a great form. Most people
- 6:48take a magnesium oxide which tests just a hair above placebo. So often folks
- 6:54should be taking a bunch of magnesium, but they won't feel and see results.
- 6:57So I'll ask that question first because that can be the reason. So
- 7:00a glistenate or bisc glistenate is great. In addition to that, how well,
- 7:05how do you do any sort of like stretching or before that has helped?
- 7:12Have you done any heat or cold therapy. There's other herbal remedies too.
- 7:15Just trying to think of what you can do physically to help heat or
- 7:20cold. No, because it comes on kind of without notice, and so
- 7:26you know, and I can be anywhere where I can get a muscle cramped,
- 7:31so and it typically goes away fast. But I haven't tried heat or
- 7:36cold. That's just something to think about. And then electrolytes. Have you
- 7:42consumed any electrolytes throughout the day, because that has been very helpful for cramping.
- 7:46Yeah, because if you could do like noon tabs is a good example.
- 7:50There's one hundred of them out there that you could choose from. Noon
- 7:53Tabs is one of my favorite. You just pop it in water. It
- 7:55makes the water taste really good. It's all naturally flavored, nothing synthetic in
- 7:59there. So it's those minerals because cramping tends to come from a result of
- 8:03mineral deficiency in your body. So the noon tabs will have all your top
- 8:09electrolytes minerals that can help replenish, nourish, strengthen. And then in addition
- 8:13to that, I would consider taking magnesium more magnesium. You can't really take
- 8:18too much when you're taking too much. It loosens your stool, so you'd
- 8:22know to stop and not continue to take more. But I'd be interested in
- 8:26you trying to take more magnesium throughout the day because you said you're taking three
- 8:30two fifty milligrams right now per day. Right. I take one in the
- 8:33morning and I take two at bedtime. Okay, Yeah, since it can
- 8:37come on any time, I mean throughout the day, it sounds like two.
- 8:41You could consider two three times a day and see if that makes an
- 8:43impact. Alongside the minerals electrolytes. I bet you might see some breakthrough there.
- 8:52Okay. And the tabs, the powder is at noon, like afternoon?
- 8:56Is that what's your good question? Yeah, it's spelled kind of money.
- 9:00It's like nu u n and like Nancy, you you like umbrella?
- 9:05Yeah, you you n great question this morning. And you mentioned too the
- 9:09tabs, the noon tabs. And one of the cool things too, is
- 9:13encourage you because it tastes so great air. Yeah, well I give it
- 9:18Sean, I get it to my kids instead of juice. They'll ask for
- 9:20juice my eighteen month and he means noon tab. You're like, ahh,
- 9:24yeah, it's awesome. Yeah, full out. Who Yeah, full lines
- 9:30rover for you right now, six two, one, thirteen ten gets you
- 9:33on the air with Tim O'Brian from The Healthy Place, and Jim joins us.
- 9:35Jim, welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim O'Brien
- 9:37from the Healthy Place. Hey, good morning, how can I help you?
- 9:43Who? Jem you though? Hello, Welcome to the show. Jim
- 9:48Welcome. Jim, Welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim
- 9:50O'Brian from the Healthy Place. Yeah, I wonder you mentioned something that could
- 9:56possibly help with the impression. Yeah, yeah, what direction you were going
- 10:05there? Absolutely, man. I mean there's a few things we look at.
- 10:11The endocannabinoid system plays a role, so I often bring up CBD and
- 10:15THHC for people. Our number one selling product is one called chill pill,
- 10:20which has a balancing effect with the cortosaur stress hormone. It has the five
- 10:28HTP which uplifts the serotonin so you feel uplifted. It has althionine, which
- 10:33helps calm the anxious thoughts down, So that's a chill pill. And then
- 10:39the third thing that's really big. So in order of operations, it's like
- 10:43the endocannabinoid system controls a lot with mood and depression, so that's where cbdt
- 10:46HC comes in. Then cortosaur levels, serotonin levels play a big role with
- 10:52overall mood health, and that's the chill pill product I just mentioned. And
- 10:56then third that people often is in flammation in the brain gets quite a bit
- 11:01higher when we're depressed. And so Baylor University out of Texas they're using BCM
- 11:07ninety five CUMAN to treat depression and that has actually worked just as well as
- 11:13a number of the pharmaceutical medication, which I thought was pretty interesting. So
- 11:20cleaning your brain and body out of inflammation goes a long way for mood health.
- 11:24So those are the three big ones. Jim and I would say,
- 11:28Hey, if you can remember my email at tim at find your Healthy Place
- 11:31dot com, tim at find your Healthyplace dot com, I can tell you're
- 11:35driving, We could shoot on an email back and forth, and I could
- 11:39send you some links. The good news is that our team has been really
- 11:46successful in helping our community in the area of depression. There's like five big
- 11:50ones that people come into our stores for, and it's chronic pain, it's
- 11:54stress, anxiety, sleep issues, and depression. Those are the big five
- 12:01and we'd become really strong, really successful, really effective in helping the community
- 12:05in those areas. So i'd encourage you to stop in the store, ask
- 12:09the question or shoot an email Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com.
- 12:11I can shoot you some links, Jim, great question this morning and start
- 12:16that conversation, and certainly they'd love to help you at the Healthy Place stop
- 12:20on end westside of Madison, Fitchburg's on Prairie online find your Healthy Place dot
- 12:22com. That's fine. Your Healthy Place dot com had some great calls this
- 12:26morning. Left keep that going. If you've got a question for Tim O'Brien
- 12:28from the Healthy Place, I'll love to get you on the air right now.
- 12:31Six eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six eight three two one
- 12:35thirteen ten. We'll take your call next and can you continue our conversation with
- 12:39mister O'Brien from the Healthy Place as ask the experts with the Healthy Place continues
- 12:43right here on thirteen ten. Wiba can't touch didst Wiba and ask the experts
- 12:58hanging out with Tim o'bron and from the Healthy Place online find your Healthy Place
- 13:03dot com. Let's find your Healthy plays dot Com was our first caller this
- 13:07hour was a Kathy was there? No, I'm drawing a blank on Oh
- 13:11Kathy, Cathy. You know I wanted to I wanted to correct something I
- 13:15said a little bit off their shun. So beat juice does not directly increase
- 13:20blood pressure. In fact, people use it. Our customers will use it
- 13:22to lower their blood pressure. What I was I was trying to say is
- 13:26anything around the blood pressure conversation. I like to say, Hey, you
- 13:30know, work with your medical professional. We don't want to be because you
- 13:33can. You can if you go cold turkey, for example, off blood
- 13:37pressure medications, you can cause some issues. So what I meant to say
- 13:41is Beat juice tends to lower blood pressure and stay in connection with your medical
- 13:46professional around the topic. Really important stuff there. And again, if just
- 13:48to fund as we as we also learned is if you don't like the taste
- 13:52to Beats, no one drink juice. Got the tablets as well for talking
- 13:56this running with Tim Olbride for the Healthy Place, we have had some phenomenal
- 14:00questions if you, oh, might Linda, I think Linda might have been
- 14:03and I thought you have Autumn. I'm gonna go with autumn. I always
- 14:05defer to her because she she pays close attention. She's brilliant. Yes she
- 14:09is, Yes she is. Of course, if you've got a question,
- 14:13still got a little bit of time, get you on there. Tim O'Brien
- 14:15from The Healthy Place six three two one thirteen ten. That's six A three
- 14:18two one thirteen ten. Or stop on and they'd love to see you.
- 14:20West sent of Madison, fitchburger Son, Prairie and online find your Healthy Place
- 14:24dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com. Speaking of the website,
- 14:28Tim, and I know you guys are very active with the social media
- 14:31but also the websites. You always keep folks up to date of cool things
- 14:35going on at the Healthy Place, And of course folks can shop right online
- 14:41with the delivery options and some other great stuff there. But that cool feature,
- 14:43and it's been a couple of years now, is the the the edition
- 14:48of actually having that live chat with a wellness consultant right online. And for
- 14:54people, some folks are more comfortable and I understand this and especially um you
- 14:58know, people who may have sense questions or type of things are just more
- 15:01comfortable doing it on that forum. And it's been great because you're able to
- 15:05reach some people that may traditionally may not have sought out help or or looked
- 15:11around for some alternatives. That wellness consultant live chat on find your Healthyplace dot
- 15:16com has really been a game changer, asn't it. It's it's so powerful
- 15:20because our vision, you know, a little bit different than our missions to
- 15:24impact and power and educate every customer, right and we do that every single
- 15:26day. Our visions to end suffering, it's like infinite. It's it's it's
- 15:31it's increase quality of life for everyone. It's like this infinite vision. And
- 15:35so in Madison, we're asking the question every day, how do we end
- 15:39suffering? How do we increase quality of life for Dane County? How do
- 15:45we do that? And how do we get after that? And how do
- 15:46we put systems in place that can help facilitate that. So that live chat
- 15:50feature is that, that's what that was born out of. There's so many
- 15:54people. You know, my wife's a good example, being home with the
- 15:56kiddos. Is you need to find an easy way for people to get answers
- 16:00because right now there's people suffering chronic pain. It's good example chronic pain.
- 16:06They're on their pharmaceutical drugs. They're in this circle of hey, it's bad
- 16:10for the kidneys, bad for the liver. I know, but hey,
- 16:11I'm too busy really to learn beyond I don't know what I don't know.
- 16:15And so it's our job to educate our community if there's natural alternatives that work
- 16:21for chronic pain. So if you're suffering in any way, or your quality
- 16:25of life could be better in any way, I'd encourage you to hop on
- 16:29that life chat feature, shoot your question out. Our wellness consultants will respond
- 16:33in a timely manner, and you'll have some education, you'll have some options,
- 16:38doesn't mean you got to buy anything. What I'm trying to get our
- 16:41community to do, Sean, is think about a natural alternative. Find out
- 16:47about natural alternatives that can treat a symptom strengthen their body instead of the typical
- 16:52route, which is treat a symptom, hurt the body, whether that's through
- 16:55pharmaceutical drugs or an invasive surgery that sometimes you don't have to do. So
- 17:00we're working with our medical professionals in Madison every day to work with our community
- 17:03to find natural alternatives that are working, and it's changing lives in a regular
- 17:07bay. It's pretty cool and it's inspiring to see. I mean, whether
- 17:12it's a Linda question, or whether it's a cramping question, or whether it's
- 17:15a gym question. I mean, these lives are being changed on a regular
- 17:18basis, and it's through simple actions. So I invite you today, if
- 17:22you're listening, take action on your health. Become the CEO of your own
- 17:26health. Amazing options and opportunities, they're real quick. Speaking of opportunities,
- 17:29we've got a couple of minutes left. Geane, welcome to the program.
- 17:30You're on there with Tim O'Brien. Thank you for joining us. Of course,
- 17:33Tim comes to us from the Healthy Place. Good morning him. I
- 17:38need a good replacement for end sets. I got myself into serious trouble with
- 17:44a perforated altered because of the end sets and can no longer take them.
- 17:49Is there something available? Oh man? Yeah, how long has this been
- 17:55a struggle for you? Well, I've taken ends, it's for a very
- 18:00very long time. But I ended up with some fractures and I think I
- 18:03overdid the end steads and I had a perforated ulcer which I didn't even know
- 18:10I had an ulcer. So I had have surgery for that, and they've
- 18:14taken me off endsteads and the only thing that I can take is tylanol and
- 18:18that really doesn't cut it for the pain. Yeause, I'm seventy arthriotism ass
- 18:23things that hurt. I think have a prescripture for tramadol. And that's a
- 18:29little that's a little rough on you. Yeah, you know, end sets
- 18:32in general, they decrease your body's natural inflammation response too, which is a
- 18:37side effect a lot of people don't know about. So your body's ability to
- 18:41treat the pain keeps getting weaker as we keep taking more and more of the
- 18:45end sets. And not to mention the kidney liver damage in your case,
- 18:48you know, the additional struggles that you had in side effects you had.
- 18:52So I would work on inflammation. I would get the inflammation down in your
- 18:56body. There's a product called Kira Health that see you are a health it's
- 19:00a BCM ninety five Kerkuman. I brought it up earlier in the program because
- 19:04people see their moods uplifted because it cleans the inflammation out of your brain and
- 19:08it also cleans the inflammation out of your body. So that is number one
- 19:12Numero Uno would be get the inflammation down to your body, because the inflammation
- 19:17is the root of that pain. Number Two, I get on a CBD
- 19:22or cbdt HC product. Strata has been our top selling product for the last
- 19:26year now. If you go to our website you type in THHC, it'll
- 19:30bring you to our Strata products. It's a gummy but it comes in a
- 19:33tincture. Two. You can take it. You don't have to get high
- 19:36on it. You can, but you don't have to. And those two
- 19:41would be the most successful. We've been recommending that duo Kia Health and Strata
- 19:47for the last year now. In chronic pain situations like this one, it
- 19:51has been off the chart successful. You can shoot on email to me too.
- 19:56I can shoot you some links tim at find your Healthy Place dot com.
- 19:59I have been very encouraged by the results we're seeing with those two products
- 20:03together. Great question, Great question, Gene, and start that conversation.
