- 0:31what is going on everybody
- 0:32welcome to lunch with the
- 0:34cladsdale it is lunch time
- 0:37time to hang out with my
- 0:38friends man stream yard is
- 0:41acting goofy uh I see corey
- 0:44in the chat corey's with me
- 0:45every wednesday he has seen
- 0:48some of the streamlined
- 0:49funkiness um and man it
- 0:53took me three shots to
- 0:55launch the show today
- 0:57Man, what a mess.
- 0:58I wonder what's going on with StreamYard,
- 1:00if I'm going to have to
- 1:01look at another software,
- 1:03something like that.
- 1:04I don't know.
- 1:05But yeah, we're live.
- 1:08It is lunchtime.
- 1:08I get to hang with all of you.
- 1:10Jody, Denise, Helson, Corey,
- 1:12what's going on?
- 1:14So good that you guys are all here today.
- 1:17I got a lot of stuff to kind of...
- 1:22cleanup from the weekend
- 1:24that we missed last night
- 1:26during the show or that I
- 1:28just got in too much of a
- 1:29rant mode that I forgot to
- 1:31talk about or all that kind of stuff.
- 1:35The first thing I wanted to talk about is,
- 1:38as we were ending the show last night,
- 1:40Hiller released that reel,
- 1:42a clip of last night's show
- 1:43before we were even off the air.
- 1:46There is no weirder feeling
- 1:47than looking down at your
- 1:48phone and saying,
- 1:51Hiller mentioned you in a reel,
- 1:55and then Hiller wants you
- 1:56to collaborate on a reel.
- 1:58And we're not even off the air yet.
- 1:59And I'm like, oh, my gosh.
- 2:04what part of last night's
- 2:05show did he pick what did
- 2:07he pick out because I was
- 2:10really cranky last night
- 2:12really cranky and I went
- 2:14off a few times so I don't
- 2:16know what he was picking I
- 2:17don't know if it was
- 2:18something that jamie said
- 2:19carolyn said or I said um
- 2:21so that was wild really
- 2:24wild uh but then it turned
- 2:29out it was my ghd rant
- 2:32and that someone in the
- 2:34space had reached out to me
- 2:36and accused me of group
- 2:38thought in my rant about that.
- 2:43Um,
- 2:45So that's what it was about.
- 2:49And I said it.
- 2:51I own it.
- 2:52That is what I believe.
- 2:53I believe that too many
- 2:54times the people that do it
- 2:55the right way get screwed
- 2:58in this space right now.
- 3:00But I want to clear up.
- 3:01We were talking about the
- 3:02online semifinal.
- 3:04We were not talking about the WFP.
- 3:08The WFP did not have a
- 3:10standard for the GHD sit-up.
- 3:13So it was the Wild West.
- 3:14You could do it however you
- 3:15wanted to do it.
- 3:18And I said to Jamie after
- 3:20the show last night,
- 3:21I'd rather have that and
- 3:23everybody have the same
- 3:25opportunity to do it
- 3:26however they want to do it
- 3:28than to have a standard
- 3:29that's not upheld.
- 3:41So that's kind of what I believe there.
- 3:46It's still not ideal.
- 3:48I would rather have a good
- 3:49standard that actually
- 3:51provides the fitness test
- 3:53it's supposed to provide.
- 3:56than the wild west but if if
- 3:58it's going to be one or the
- 3:59other I would rather have
- 4:01no standard and let
- 4:02everybody have the same
- 4:03opportunity and a level
- 4:04playing field than to have
- 4:07a standard that's not going
- 4:08to be upheld and some
- 4:10people will do it because
- 4:11it's right and it's the
- 4:12right thing to do and other
- 4:14people will then skirt the
- 4:15system and they get an
- 4:16unfair advantage so that
- 4:20just to clear up with that last night
- 4:23Denise says, can I just voice my opinion?
- 4:26Of course you can.
- 4:28I enjoyed watching the WFP last weekend.
- 4:31I did very much.
- 4:35I enjoyed the WFP as much as I enjoy Rogue,
- 4:38the games,
- 4:40and probably better than Waterpalooza.
- 4:45I hate events that try to go
- 4:48twenty lanes wide and
- 4:50And then broadcast that for people.
- 4:52And it's impossible,
- 4:55impossible to see every
- 4:56lane when you do that.
- 4:58French Throwdown did that this weekend.
- 5:00It made it impossible to
- 5:02kind of see everything.
- 5:03Waterpalooza does that.
- 5:04They've gone thirty wide at events,
- 5:07which makes it impossible to see.
- 5:10The two best events so far
- 5:11this season have been Mayhem and the WFP,
- 5:14in my opinion.
- 5:15Both of them kept the heats to ten or less,
- 5:20making it much easier to watch.
- 5:22Mayhem even went smaller
- 5:24than that at times,
- 5:25which made it really cool to watch.
- 5:28Those have been the two best
- 5:31competitions to watch on
- 5:32the stream all season long.
- 5:38Corey,
- 5:38Waterpalooza is always a cluster
- 5:39because it's super hard to
- 5:40keep up with what's happening.
- 5:43It is.
- 5:44There's just way too many lanes,
- 5:46way too many lanes.
- 5:47And even being there in person,
- 5:50like if you get a seat on
- 5:51one end of the stadium,
- 5:52you can't see the other
- 5:54half of the venue and the athletes.
- 6:01And it's just impossible to do that.
- 6:10um thank you for the kind
- 6:12words andrew stenn sunday
- 6:15night crossfit talk is
- 6:16becoming the place to be I
- 6:18hope so I mean and I said
- 6:20it last night like carolyn
- 6:23Carolyn and Jamie both are
- 6:24nerds in the space, um,
- 6:27and they're athletes.
- 6:28They watch everything.
- 6:30They have such good opinions.
- 6:33They know what's going on in space.
- 6:35And, um,
- 6:36I'm glad that I'm able to highlight them,
- 6:39um, as well as, um,
- 6:41sometimes unleash cranky Scott.
- 6:45Uh, uh,
- 6:48Denise says,
- 6:48so for Masters games last year,
- 6:50they told us to get over
- 6:51the bar however we wanted
- 6:52for the bar-facing burpees,
- 6:53easier to judge.
- 6:55I think that's what happened at WFP.
- 6:58They did not want to have
- 6:59the judging be the issue in the events,
- 7:03and that's why the GHD was
- 7:05given no standard other
- 7:07than touching the floor
- 7:09behind you and touching the
- 7:10pad in front of you.
- 7:12And...
- 7:13And so there were not going
- 7:15to be any judging issues.
- 7:17But if you look down the
- 7:18line and you've done
- 7:19CrossFit for any time at all,
- 7:21and you saw the form used on those GHDs,
- 7:24it looked awful.
- 7:27Now, again, I would rather have that.
- 7:28I would rather have no
- 7:30standard and allow that
- 7:32than to have a standard
- 7:34that isn't being upheld.
- 7:38But it still doesn't look good.
- 7:44Ah, Denise,
- 7:44it's great that they have
- 7:45different opinions.
- 7:46It is.
- 7:47They're really good.
- 7:52I understand any skidding over the bar,
- 7:54however,
- 7:54isn't as much of an advantage to
- 7:56the movement on the GHD
- 7:58where you sit does give an advantage,
- 8:00in my opinion.
- 8:02Yeah, I think that Carolyn said it best.
- 8:05By allowing people to be on
- 8:06the front of the, well,
- 8:09closer to your feet,
- 8:11your butt closer to your feet on the GHD,
- 8:13you're turning a GHD into
- 8:15an ab mat sit-up.
- 8:23Halpin,
- 8:24same with when Waza did strict
- 8:26pull-ups versus what became
- 8:28the standard of arms extended,
- 8:30chin over bar.
- 8:33Sometimes they just do it to
- 8:34make it easier on the judge.
- 8:36But I think Carolyn made a
- 8:37great point that the GHD
- 8:39standard shouldn't,
- 8:40we shouldn't talk about the
- 8:41hip or the butt.
- 8:42We should talk about the back.
- 8:43The back should not touch the pad.
- 8:47If the back is touching the pad,
- 8:49then you're just doing an ab mat setup.
- 8:53If the back is not touching the pad,
- 8:55then you're getting a GHD setup.
- 8:56And that is easier to judge, easier to see,
- 9:00and is probably easier to understand.
- 9:06But if you're going to make
- 9:07it an ABMAT setup,
- 9:07why lug all this heavy
- 9:09equipment to these venues?
- 9:10Why not just do an ABMAT setup?
- 9:12Because as she said,
- 9:16nobody's even breaking GHDs anymore.
- 9:26So the WFP released the tour points.
- 9:30And I just wanted to kind of
- 9:31go over them real quick.
- 9:33They are going to be in the
- 9:34same order as the event
- 9:38points from yesterday,
- 9:39but where this is going to
- 9:40come into play is when we
- 9:41get a second event and the
- 9:43events will have different
- 9:44finishes than the tour points.
- 9:47And I think that will make
- 9:48it actually easier for
- 9:49people to understand the
- 9:50concept of the season and,
- 9:53But a couple things I did
- 9:54want to point out is the
- 9:56way the points are distributed.
- 9:58And so if you look at the
- 10:00men's points here,
- 10:01the first couple are
- 10:03fifteen points apart.
- 10:05So Austin got five hundred.
- 10:07James got four eighty five.
- 10:09Jason Hopper got four seventy.
- 10:11Then after third,
- 10:12it's only a ten point
- 10:13differential for a while
- 10:16till I think tenth place.
- 10:18So then the next from Jeff
- 10:19Adler to Noah Olson,
- 10:21there's ten points in
- 10:22between each contestant or athlete.
- 10:27Then when we go to eleventh,
- 10:29it's eight points.
- 10:31So then eighth to twentieth
- 10:33is eight points between each competitor.
- 10:39And then when you go to the
- 10:40twentieth to thirtieth,
- 10:43we're down to five points
- 10:44in between each competitor.
- 10:46So the higher you're up on the leaderboard,
- 10:48the more separation in the
- 10:49points that you get and the
- 10:51bigger that spread can be
- 10:53and why that's an advantage
- 10:55when you go to the next
- 10:56tour stop to have a bigger
- 10:58lead going into that.
- 11:01My only criticism of this
- 11:02release is the challengers
- 11:05earn points to up to two fifty.
- 11:08So Tudor would have had two fifty.
- 11:12They should have added those
- 11:13to these tour points, those tour points,
- 11:17each point equals the same
- 11:19as these tour points.
- 11:21Now,
- 11:21it would just start as thirty first
- 11:23would be Tudor and it would
- 11:24go down to fiftieth as the
- 11:26last place finisher in the
- 11:27Challenger division.
- 11:29but they could have added those here.
- 11:31And then you saw that you
- 11:32would see the top fifty
- 11:33going into tour stop two
- 11:35and then tour stop two.
- 11:36You're probably going to
- 11:37have different cast of
- 11:38characters in those challenger,
- 11:41either challenger pro or
- 11:42challenger divisions.
- 11:44And then the store points
- 11:45will actually be more than
- 11:47fifty after the next event.
- 11:50But I wanted to just point
- 11:52that out that that was
- 11:53released this morning.
- 11:56And again,
- 11:57they're in the same order as the
- 11:58finish of this tour stop,
- 12:00but where it's going to
- 12:00shake up is once we get to tour stop two.
- 12:12Denise, I hate GHDs just for my back,
- 12:15but we do a lot in our gym.
- 12:18Yeah.
- 12:22And Halpin is working on
- 12:23that over lunch that
- 12:24includes challenger points.
- 12:29so there's that uh the other
- 12:31thing I want to talk about
- 12:32is um I watched because the
- 12:35weekend was so compressed
- 12:37with so much stuff we had
- 12:39to cover last night I
- 12:40didn't get to watch the
- 12:41hill or hip and steel until
- 12:42I was uh going to bed last
- 12:44night what a great video um that
- 12:50It's a great example of the
- 12:51storytelling that I've been
- 12:52talking about that's been
- 12:54missing from the space and
- 12:56I hope comes back into the
- 12:57road to the games that
- 12:58CrossFit is releasing this summer.
- 13:01But the storytelling of
- 13:03walking into David
- 13:04Hippenstiel's house and
- 13:06seeing a man that hangs
- 13:08rings in his living room
- 13:10and in his stairway to the second floor,
- 13:15because in the wintertime,
- 13:16he can't do his muscle-ups outside.
- 13:20So he does them in the staircase,
- 13:23and then he uses them to
- 13:24stretch in the living room
- 13:25while he's watching TV.
- 13:28And he has apparatus
- 13:29everywhere to help him with
- 13:30his mobility all the time.
- 13:32He's sixty nine years old
- 13:34and he knows that mobility
- 13:35is a limiting factor.
- 13:37And so he does that.
- 13:38They they you enter.
- 13:39They introduce you to his
- 13:40wife and all the things she
- 13:42does to help out.
- 13:46Hiller and him work out together,
- 13:48and they get – and Hiller
- 13:50helps him with his mobility,
- 13:52his depth on his squats.
- 13:54It's really a cool video to
- 13:56watch and really cool to
- 13:58see how David gets excited
- 14:00that he got full depth on
- 14:03his front and back squats
- 14:05and things like that.
- 14:06It's a really –
- 14:08charming video and uh I
- 14:10highly recommend it to
- 14:10everybody um I've gotten to
- 14:12know david over the years
- 14:13doing the behind the scenes
- 14:15of the masters
- 14:17and I've run into him at events.
- 14:18He's such a nice guy.
- 14:20Um,
- 14:20I'm glad that they were able to bury
- 14:22the hatchet on some things
- 14:23and kind of talk about what
- 14:24happened from each one of
- 14:26their perspectives and why it happened.
- 14:29Um, and it's, it's a really good,
- 14:33good video and nice storytelling, um,
- 14:36from Hiller, really nice storytelling.
- 14:41Um, I also watched, and again,
- 14:43this is all over the map.
- 14:44This is just cleaning up
- 14:45notes from the weekend.
- 14:46Um,
- 14:50Corey says, dude,
- 14:51the hip and steel video
- 14:52might be the best one he's done yet.
- 14:54I am way more a fan of hip now.
- 14:58Yeah,
- 14:58I've always been a... So when that
- 14:59went down,
- 15:00I was actually... When that
- 15:02first video came out,
- 15:02I was at an event where David was at.
- 15:07And we talked a lot that weekend.
- 15:10And he was going to come on
- 15:11the show to give his side of the story,
- 15:14but we could never get it
- 15:15kind of to his...
- 15:18because I believe that you
- 15:19should have full movement
- 15:21and you should meet the standards.
- 15:25And we could just never get
- 15:26to an agreement as how
- 15:28we're going to format the show.
- 15:31But yeah, it's a great video.
- 15:34I agree, Corey.
- 15:36I thought the hopper one and
- 15:37this one are the two best ones he's done.
- 15:40And they're probably the last two.
- 15:41I think he's just getting, uh,
- 15:43into a really good groove,
- 15:46having conversations with people.
- 15:51They had a great
- 15:51conversation about his elbow.
- 15:53It's a conversation that
- 15:54needs to be had more in the
- 15:55masters competition, totally.
- 15:57And his shoulder that both
- 15:59of them have limiting factors and
- 16:03And that you, as a judge,
- 16:06you are supposed to know if
- 16:08they have a limiter when
- 16:10they come out on the floor
- 16:12and you're supposed to factor that in.
- 16:14And Hiller makes a great point at like,
- 16:15what point does that,
- 16:17do we lose the integrity of
- 16:20what fitness is?
- 16:21It was a great conversation,
- 16:23a great conversation.
- 16:27Uh, Denise,
- 16:28I think killer did a great job.
- 16:29I understand David a little
- 16:30bit better now.
- 16:31David is so easy to talk to.
- 16:33He's in the behind the
- 16:33scenes from last year's CrossFit games.
- 16:36We had a great conversation.
- 16:37It was like eight or ten
- 16:38minutes and it was so good.
- 16:40I didn't want to cut any of it.
- 16:41So I left it all in.
- 16:43Um, and it's really, really good.
- 16:54Hill are gently telling
- 16:55David that maybe if you can't lock out,
- 16:58you should compete.
- 16:59And Dave seemingly agreeing was so cool.
- 17:05I was annoyed with David at the time,
- 17:07as I have always worked on moving well.
- 17:10And I have older and I have
- 17:12older people highlighted as
- 17:13bad movers made me sad.
- 17:15I can see that.
- 17:16I can see that.
- 17:17And David admitting to the
- 17:19way he handled it was not ideal,
- 17:22was really nice, too.
- 17:26So, um, so behind the scenes, um,
- 17:34WFP put out behind the
- 17:34scenes while the event was
- 17:36going on this weekend,
- 17:38really hard to keep up with
- 17:39that and keep up with the
- 17:40event in itself.
- 17:41But in behind the scenes three,
- 17:44they're interviewing some
- 17:45of the people that brought
- 17:45on to do media.
- 17:47And what I found fascinating
- 17:48was that a lot of them had never,
- 17:50ever done media for, um,
- 17:57had never ever done media
- 18:01for fitnessing before.
- 18:02They were hired from outside
- 18:04the space to come in and do this.
- 18:07And I like the idea of
- 18:08having some fresh ideas to the broadcast.
- 18:11And I think that showed a
- 18:12lot in the WFP broadcast.
- 18:15I've said this in the past before,
- 18:17I think CrossFit hiring the
- 18:19same crew to do the broadcast every time.
- 18:24It's been the same since two
- 18:26thousand thirteen.
- 18:27They're not much has changed.
- 18:29I thought that they had did
- 18:31better angles of the
- 18:33footage from the floor.
- 18:35I thought they did a better
- 18:36job of when they did do close ups.
- 18:38It was more of like a three
- 18:40or four athlete close up as
- 18:42opposed to just one person.
- 18:44in the lane um and so you
- 18:47could see other things
- 18:48going on when they did a
- 18:50close-up but they had a lot
- 18:51more wide angle shots where
- 18:53you could see the whole
- 18:54floor and where people
- 18:56stood during the race um so
- 19:00I want to commend them for
- 19:01trying some new and and
- 19:02different and innovative
- 19:03things and then that kind
- 19:07of rolls into the the red
- 19:08bull effect so red bull was
- 19:11a major sponsor
- 19:13And one thing we didn't
- 19:14really talk about last
- 19:15night on the show is that
- 19:17Red Bull money is different
- 19:18than like a grips company
- 19:20money or go-ruck money or a
- 19:23shoe company money,
- 19:24unless you're like one of the big dogs.
- 19:28Red Bull is a major player
- 19:31in sports in the world.
- 19:33They are big in the X-game
- 19:40style sports industry.
- 19:46And they sponsor a lot of those,
- 19:48so much so they have their
- 19:50own streaming channel.
- 19:52There is a Red Bull channel
- 19:53out there where they
- 19:55broadcast niche and extreme
- 19:58sports all the time.
- 20:01If WFP gets a relationship with them,
- 20:05that is groundbreaking, right?
- 20:07That is something that I
- 20:08don't think a lot of people
- 20:10have taken into account in
- 20:12this whole thing.
- 20:23I think some people working
- 20:25on the broadcast were
- 20:26professionals from Finland.
- 20:27They have been involved with Turku.
- 20:32You guys hopefully can read it.
- 20:34Tua Mianpava.
- 20:36which has been broadcast
- 20:37very professionally,
- 20:38not on YouTube though.
- 20:42Yeah.
- 20:42I, I,
- 20:45you could tell that they were like
- 20:47from Europe,
- 20:49they were doing an excellent job.
- 20:50It was a new concept, new ideas for them.
- 20:53The one guy said he had
- 20:54never even seen a CrossFit
- 20:56competition before coming to this.
- 21:00And I really liked the
- 21:01innovativeness of bringing
- 21:02in some people from outside the space.
- 21:05Halpin said, yeah,
- 21:06and one of the guys also
- 21:07works with the Indianapolis Colts.
- 21:10Yeah,
- 21:12I thought that's why it was different.
- 21:15And thank goodness we have
- 21:16some different ideas and
- 21:18different thoughts.
- 21:19So yeah, I was really happy with that.
- 21:25But Red Bull,
- 21:27with them having their own channel,
- 21:29and if World Fitness
- 21:30Project can gain a partnership with them,
- 21:35with with whatever happens
- 21:37in these first few events
- 21:39that's going to be
- 21:40groundbreaking for what
- 21:41happens because it's
- 21:42different money it's
- 21:43different money than the
- 21:44crossfit games I've ever
- 21:45seen and they have
- 21:48resources that can actually
- 21:50benefit whatever happens
- 21:52here um and I and adidas
- 21:58has a lot of money too
- 21:59those are two major
- 22:00sponsors that they have that
- 22:04because I believe that
- 22:06Reebok is a subset of Adidas.
- 22:10So even when CrossFit had Reebok,
- 22:12it's not as much as getting
- 22:15Adidas as the main sponsor.
- 22:19So aha says Red Bull has
- 22:24amazing social media.
- 22:25So totally agree with that.
- 22:27Yeah.
- 22:28They've been around the
- 22:29block and they have
- 22:31cashflow and they have resources.
- 22:35unlike anything ever seen in
- 22:36the fitness space before.
- 22:39That is for sure.
- 22:42The other thing, this again,
- 22:43I'm just cleaning up notes,
- 22:44so we're all over the map today.
- 22:47Live versus WFP.
- 22:49You guys all know I've been watching,
- 22:54Andrew says,
- 22:55Reebok was owned by Adidas in the past,
- 22:58but not anymore, I believe.
- 22:59But I believe when Reebok
- 23:01was sponsoring the games,
- 23:02they were owned by Adidas.
- 23:06Correct me if I'm wrong,
- 23:07but I think that that's the case.
- 23:11So if you watch full swing,
- 23:18when live first started,
- 23:19they went after older
- 23:22players who had a little
- 23:24bit more diminished skills
- 23:26and then offered them this
- 23:27guaranteed money.
- 23:29And that's why they moved
- 23:31from the PGA tour to the live tour.
- 23:35And then it wasn't until
- 23:39they kind of established themselves,
- 23:41made some headlines with
- 23:43the money they were offering,
- 23:44that some of the bigger
- 23:45players then jumped over to live.
- 23:50When World Fitness Project first started,
- 23:53I think the same thing happened.
- 23:55They went after the Pat
- 23:56Vellners and the Chandler Smiths.
- 23:59People who had established names,
- 24:01established social media accounts,
- 24:04tons of followers,
- 24:06but maybe didn't have the
- 24:09skill set anymore to be
- 24:11dominant on the floor.
- 24:12And then once that was out
- 24:14there and the headlines
- 24:14went out there that this was happening,
- 24:17then some of the more...
- 24:23the more young and upcoming
- 24:26athletes decided to join, um, the WFP.
- 24:30It's really eerie how
- 24:32similar this has been.
- 24:34Uh,
- 24:36and last night we talked about like why
- 24:38you would pick the four, do you pair the,
- 24:40yeah, the four, do you pick twenty men,
- 24:42twenty women?
- 24:43And I think a lot of it has
- 24:44to do with who are you
- 24:46easily going to sway to
- 24:47come for the money?
- 24:49And who had the most
- 24:50following to get the biggest headline,
- 24:53the biggest news out there.
- 24:55And that's what they did.
- 24:59So, yeah,
- 25:02I think that is key to what
- 25:07happened with WFP and key
- 25:09to what we're seeing today.
- 25:19My final thought on this is
- 25:22I think we're at a really
- 25:23big juncture for CrossFit.
- 25:26Right now you have a
- 25:26competitor who put a good
- 25:28weekend together.
- 25:30And let's just call it that.
- 25:31It was a good, good weekend.
- 25:36Really enjoyed it.
- 25:38Really enjoyed the broadcast.
- 25:40Really enjoyed everything about it.
- 25:44Now we have this online
- 25:46semifinal that has to be
- 25:48finally decided on by CrossFit.
- 25:51There was the public review
- 25:53of the videos went out.
- 25:55Now it's in CrossFit's hands
- 25:56to make the final
- 25:57determinations as to penalties and such.
- 26:01There are known issues going on out there.
- 26:04And if CrossFit wants to be a legit sport,
- 26:07and maybe they don't want to be,
- 26:08and that's fine.
- 26:10But if they want to be,
- 26:11they're going to have to
- 26:14come to the plate with a
- 26:16fair and equitable playing
- 26:18field for everybody,
- 26:21as we talked about last night.
- 26:23And so I think that the
- 26:27coming week and a half or
- 26:30however much time is left,
- 26:31maybe it's not even that much time left,
- 26:34CrossFit's going to have to
- 26:36make some rulings that are
- 26:37going to be hard.
- 26:40It's going to be interesting
- 26:41to see what they do.
- 26:44Cause I don't, I don't know.
- 26:52I don't know if they're capable or not.
- 27:02Halpin says many athletes
- 27:03already have three to five
- 27:04workouts approved.
- 27:05There's at least one athlete
- 27:06with double digit needs
- 27:07review and has all five
- 27:10workouts reviewed.
- 27:14I would need more
- 27:15information because the
- 27:15email is different if
- 27:17CrossFit reviewed the video
- 27:19or if they went by what the
- 27:21public review was.
- 27:23It's two different versions of the email.
- 27:26And I would like to know of those reviews,
- 27:31which ones they got for each
- 27:33workout I know of people
- 27:36who have been getting
- 27:37emails everybody I know of
- 27:39got the you passed public
- 27:41review there wasn't enough
- 27:43of the needs review to
- 27:45force them into a further
- 27:47evaluation and so I don't
- 27:50know who these at these
- 27:51athletes are and what
- 27:52they're getting back um
- 27:55But if they're getting back
- 27:57the ones where CrossFit
- 27:58actually did a review,
- 28:00I just hope it was done fairly.
- 28:04That's all.
- 28:12Because I know like
- 28:13Carolyn's gotten some emails back,
- 28:14but hers were on ones that
- 28:16didn't have a lot of downed votes.
- 28:20And had much more goods than the downs.
- 28:24So I don't know how it's
- 28:28going to play out with other athletes.
- 28:35But I think it's crucial
- 28:35that CrossFit has to take a
- 28:38stand on which way they're
- 28:39going to go with this.
- 28:41And then it is what it is.
- 28:51Right.
- 28:52But it's not about approved or reviewed.
- 28:56It's if you were reviewed by headquarters,
- 28:59the email is different than
- 29:01if they just accepted you
- 29:02based on the public opinion.
- 29:05That's what I'm saying.
- 29:07So I'd like to know,
- 29:08did they have to go to step two or not?
- 29:16If you didn't have any
- 29:18downvotes and you had a ton of upvotes,
- 29:21then you get an email
- 29:22saying your video has been
- 29:25approved and moved forward.
- 29:32Mike, I'm not talking about the games.
- 29:33I'm just talking about there
- 29:34are two emails that come
- 29:35out for each video to give
- 29:38it the green light or that
- 29:40it's been penalized.
- 29:43And there's two green light emails.
- 29:46There's a green light that says,
- 29:49based on the public review,
- 29:50you are approved on this video.
- 29:52And then there's one that says,
- 29:54you have been elevated to
- 29:55CrossFit HQ review,
- 29:59and we have determined that
- 30:02your video is good.
- 30:06And both of those are green lights,
- 30:07but it just shows that they
- 30:09went to another step beyond
- 30:11the public review.
- 30:16So that is what I have to say about that.
- 30:22I watched a couple good
- 30:23movies this weekend.
- 30:26I watched Nona's.
- 30:28It's a Vince Vaughn movie
- 30:30about a restaurant that
- 30:31he's opening up and that he
- 30:33hires grandmothers to be the chefs.
- 30:35It's on Netflix.
- 30:36Really good.
- 30:37Highly recommend.
- 30:38Family friendly.
- 30:40Just feel good movie.
- 30:42Then the other one I watched
- 30:43was not family-friendly.
- 30:45It was called Love Hurts.
- 30:47And it is, I don't know the guy's name,
- 30:50but he was in Goonies as
- 30:52the inventor kid.
- 30:55And then he was in Indiana Jones,
- 30:57Raiders of the Lost Ark as
- 30:59a rerun in that, I believe was his name.
- 31:04But it's called Love Hurts,
- 31:05and it's a very Jackie Chan
- 31:07kung fu movie.
- 31:09And just from a nostalgia point,
- 31:11I loved it.
- 31:12I loved the Jackie Chan kung
- 31:14fu movie style.
- 31:16It was a lot of fun to watch,
- 31:18but it is not...
- 31:22is not family friendly um
- 31:23and it has kung fu gore in
- 31:25it almost comic book-esque
- 31:28um my wife hated it just so
- 31:30you know um but I loved it
- 31:33just because of the
- 31:34nostalgic uh jackie chan
- 31:36thing denise says how did I
- 31:37have time to watch movies this weekend
- 31:40Well,
- 31:40we are trapped in the house because
- 31:41of my wife's knee surgery.
- 31:43So what I would, as soon as I was,
- 31:44the nice thing about the
- 31:45WFP and the French showdown
- 31:47is they were all done early in the day.
- 31:50So I could then go hang out
- 31:51with my wife for the evening.
- 31:55And because she is laid up
- 31:56on the couch or in the bed
- 31:58I brought downstairs, we watch movies.
- 32:02So it's about all we can do
- 32:04right now until she gets
- 32:05more mobile and can get
- 32:08outside for long trips.
- 32:10so uh corey says ki hui
- 32:14kuang is that is that is um
- 32:18that is the guy who stars
- 32:20in it and uh uh marshawn
- 32:27lynch uh from nfl fame
- 32:29raiders and seahawks is in
- 32:31the movie as well and he
- 32:33was awesome he was really awesome
- 32:50So, well, thank you, Denise.
- 32:52I try to be a good hubby.
- 32:56It was a lot this weekend
- 32:58trying to watch everything
- 33:00and care to all of her
- 33:01needs throughout the day,
- 33:03but we made it through.
- 33:05Now we're back into the
- 33:06normal swing of the schedule.
- 33:15So, yeah.
- 33:18With that, guys...
- 33:20That's the cleanup episode.
- 33:22We had a really, yeah,
- 33:27I want to see it because
- 33:28Marshawn is in it.
- 33:30He was really good, really good in it.
- 33:34Denise plus Mother's Day.
- 33:36It was Mother's Day.
- 33:37We kind of forfeited it and
- 33:39she was cool with that.
- 33:41I did order lunch in for her
- 33:44from a local deli and got
- 33:45her some stuff she wanted.
- 33:47But we couldn't do anything beyond that.
- 33:53And with the daughter moved to Montana.
- 33:56yeah that was a huge
- 33:57investment helping her get
- 33:58out there so yeah it was
- 34:00going to be a simple one
- 34:01anyway and so but we
- 34:03enjoyed ourselves for sure
- 34:09well guys I'm going to get
- 34:10back to work I have a busy
- 34:11day ahead of me um
- 34:14you knucklehead should get
- 34:15back to work as well hope
- 34:17you guys had a good time
- 34:18make sure you like and
- 34:19subscribe to the channel

- 34:24I think I had four riffs in
- 34:26the middle of last night's
- 34:26show if you have not seen
- 34:28it already and many of you
- 34:30have as the numbers are
