- 0:04Hi. I'm Jay Fallon and thank you for
- 0:05listening to the slippery slope. Wow that's about all I can say
- 0:10when you look at the Israeli elections and done I'm just
- 0:16scratching my head. Looks like netanyahu's back in.
- 0:18Apparently this headline came through here in Australia, from
- 0:22the guardian says Israel's. Yeah, lipid congratulates
- 0:26Benjamin and Netanyahu on election of victory.
- 0:30So Israel's prime minister lipid has called Benjamin Netanyahu to
- 0:35offer his congratulations on the opposition leaders election win.
- 0:39Following the conclusion of vote counting in this week's election
- 0:43Netanyahu chair of the conservative liquid party and
- 0:47Israel's longest serving prime minister is expected to begin.
- 0:51An unprecedented third term as Premier after holding Coalition
- 0:56negotiations with his religious and far-right allies and Mina
- 1:00government the block which includes the extremist religious
- 1:04Zionist party. That's their terminology with
- 1:07extremists and to ultra-orthodox parties.
- 1:11One comfortable majority in Tuesday's election, the
- 1:16country's fifth in four years. The I tell you what these guys
- 1:22have more elections in Australia and the UK, the state of Israel
- 1:26comes before any political considerations Ocean.
- 1:30I wish Netanyahu success for the sake of the people of Israel in
- 1:34the state of Israel. And the peed said in a
- 1:37statement, adding that the Prime Minister had instructed his
- 1:40office to prepare for an organized transition of power.
- 1:45So Netanyahu was removed from office last summer by diverse
- 1:49Coalition, which formed a so-called government of change
- 1:54in fighting led to its downfall year later.
- 1:56And listen, we could all see that was Happen.
- 2:00Because in none of it really made sense from the very start
- 2:03almost from Dyke dots. You can see there was gonna be
- 2:07major problems and it was not going to work properly.
- 2:10Anyway, they gave it a go, but what can you say so?
- 2:15So moving on, as with the fourth other elections.
- 2:18Since to 2019, this week's poll, was another referendum on
- 2:22Netanyahu suitability to govern. The 73-year old is on trial for
- 2:27corruption charges, which he denies?
- 2:29Sighs and if you've seen as corruption charges but that they
- 2:33seem pretty flimsy, to be honest.
- 2:35Anyway, so says polling consistently predicted that the
- 2:38pro and anti Netanyahu blocks would yet.
- 2:41Again, end in deadlock with the camps on about 60 seats each in
- 2:46the 120 knesset so exit polls and choose their night.
- 2:50However suggested that, the long-term leader longtime leader
- 2:54and his allies would scrape a majority with 61 and their lead
- 2:59had extended. Comfortable, 65 65 seats by the
- 3:03time the vote tally finished on Thursday afternoon.
- 3:07Official results will be released next Wednesday.
- 3:11Netanyahu will in all probability return to office in
- 3:15a few weeks, time at the head of the most right-wing government
- 3:20in Israel's history. He was able to end the four-year
- 3:24political crisis by persuading. Three small far-right Fringe
- 3:27parties to merge into one slate, called the religious zionists
- 3:33ahead of the 2021 election. Pushing them over the Electoral
- 3:38threshold than into the knesset. This time round the Chuckling
- 3:42popularity of the religious Zionist.
- 3:44Deputy it's a man been Viper. Think that's how you pronounce
- 3:49it. Helped the party.
- 3:51More than double the number of seats with 14 died.
- 3:54And now, the third largest party in Parliament and will likely
- 3:58receive important ministerial positions in the new government.
- 4:02So, a former follower of the band, cash, terrorist group,
- 4:06with conviction, for inciting racism, been give our support
- 4:11It's altering Israel's legal code, which could help Netanyahu
- 4:16evade a conviction in his corruption chop trial.
- 4:19He has also lobbied for the deportation of disloyal.
- 4:24Palestinian citizens of Israel. Can I just say, doesn't that
- 4:28make sense? It really does.
- 4:31Why do I do for starters? I never understand why people
- 4:36want to stay in the nation, when they hate it so much.
- 4:39We have the same. We have similar issues here in
- 4:41Australia. People to stand up.
- 4:43They seem to hate the nation of Australia and yet they insist on
- 4:46living here because they want to change it to their point of
- 4:50view. You know, if you if you weren't
- 4:53born here and you're not happy with the country that you're
- 4:55living in, you can always move somewhere else, that's all I'm
- 4:59saying. So I'm moving on anyway.
- 5:01So Arab Israeli politician Suleiman said on Wednesday that
- 5:06Netanyahu would be forming a government with fascist fascist
- 5:11by his side. Side.
- 5:12Like I'm not really sure it's fascist by his side but anyway
- 5:16it's just pretty remarkable stuff.
- 5:18Netanyahu back in power again in Israel this in my opinion is
- 5:23Israel. Needs a strong hand at the helm
- 5:27and Netanyahu. When you look at the choices
- 5:30they have he seems to be the man for the job.
- 5:33They need someone strong, they need strong leadership.
- 5:36They definitely lacked strong leadership for the last 12
- 5:40months. I'm not counting say they're
- 5:43like strong leadership. They just lacked leadership at
- 5:47all. They need Netanyahu back in
- 5:50charge. I think it's a good thing.
- 5:52Let me know what you think, but very interesting times.
- 5:57It's let's see how it's How It All unfolds and how it all fits
- 6:01into Bible prophecy. This is just my opinion.
- 6:04Thank you for listening to the slippery slope.
