  Speaker 2: effective weapon available to us as human beings, I think,

  Speaker 2: is prayer. I think prayer... Helps us in so many ways.

  Speaker 2: But right now, what I want to do is I

  Speaker 2: want to show you how prayer pays off.

  Speaker 1: I want to show you what good it can do

  Speaker 1: for you. Even me. I use it every day. And

  Speaker 1: the days I don't use it, I feel it.

  Speaker 2: You know, the days that I go, you know, without

  Speaker 2: talking to him as much, I notice it.

  Speaker 1: I feel it. I feel a certain kind of way.

  Speaker 1: You know, that.

  Speaker 2: Doubt starts slipping in again. That uneasy feeling of uncertainty

  Speaker 2: slips in again. That wondering what I'm going to do

  Speaker 2: starts slipping in again. It happens to me. It happens

  Speaker 2: to everybody, man, I think. I really, really do. You know,

  Speaker 2: people would just keep it real with each other. Stop

  Speaker 2: being this Christian, this Superman, because you ain't.

  Speaker 1: You ain't. There's a scripture that says there's none perfect. No,

  Speaker 1: not one. That's everybody. That covers all of us, don't it?

  Speaker 2: So sometimes I think we're a little too hard on

  Speaker 2: each other with that, too, seeing as how we're not perfect.

  Speaker 2: We immediately want to just, oh, man, you just want

  Speaker 2: to kill when we find somebody do something wrong. It's

  Speaker 2: better if we go public. Everything go public now because

  Speaker 2: of social media. But anyway, I just want to talk

  Speaker 2: to you about how prayer pays off. It's called ROI

  Speaker 2: in money. People got money, call it ROI, so return

  Speaker 2: on investment. People are always looking for a return on investment.

  Speaker 2: You know, nobody in business really gives you money without

  Speaker 2: understanding the return on investment. They don't even give monies

  Speaker 2: to charities unless they think it can do something with

  Speaker 2: the bottom line. A lot of companies work like that.

  Speaker 2: I found that out myself. Sad, but it is true.

  Speaker 2: So since everything is expected to work on a return

  Speaker 2: on investment, I assume because we're human beings. So since

  Speaker 2: we are human beings, whether you're in business or not,

  Speaker 2: you're still in the business of living. I think when

  Speaker 2: you pray, you should expect a return on your investment.

  Speaker 1: You talked to him.

  Speaker 2: You spent time opening up to him. You bowed your

  Speaker 2: head to him. You humbled yourself. You got on your knees.

  Speaker 2: I mean, but really, we're talking God here. So really,

  Speaker 2: what you're doing ain't really about nothing. Be honest with you.

  Speaker 2: The little bit that you do do on his behalf,

  Speaker 2: it just pales in comparison with what he does. But

  Speaker 2: let's just say you want to call yourself invested. Well,

  Speaker 2: let me show you how it pays off. This is because, see,

  Speaker 2: for me, this is for me now. Prayer pays off

  Speaker 2: in different ways. That's what I had to learn. See,

  Speaker 2: I was praying, but I was asking him specifically for

  Speaker 2: what I wanted. I had the audacity, though, to turn

  Speaker 2: around and tell him how to do what I wanted.

  Speaker 1: That's amazing, man.

  Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many blessings I blocked coming

  Speaker 2: my way by putting my faith in what I said

  Speaker 2: I wanted and how I wanted him to do it.

  Speaker 2: I want you to give me this. I want that

  Speaker 2: person to go away. I want this person to accept

  Speaker 2: everything you say. Then I want to go over here

  Speaker 2: and I want this deal to happen like this. And

  Speaker 2: I want that person to just step aside and let

  Speaker 2: me through. And then I had it mapped out. God

  Speaker 2: must have been chuckling really hard. He had to be going, boy,

  Speaker 2: I made you to be funny, but boy, you funny now.

  Speaker 2: So you're going to tell me how to do it.

  Speaker 2: And you've all heard this right here. If you want

  Speaker 2: to make God laugh, tell him your plan. Well, that's

  Speaker 2: what I did. And that's how we pray a lot

  Speaker 2: of times. We pray and we pray in the prayer.

  Speaker 2: We're telling him how to work it out. Well, here's

  Speaker 2: the deal. This is what I've learned. Prayer pays off

  Speaker 2: in different ways. There's a different return of my investment

  Speaker 2: when I pray. See, sometimes when I'm praying for something,

  Speaker 2: a situation to dissolve itself or go away, sometimes I
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: get courage out of the prayer. Prayer provides me courage.

  Speaker 2: That's just to go on and look at it, I guess.

  Speaker 1: Face it.

  Speaker 2: Then sometimes when I'm praying about a situation, sometimes prayer

  Speaker 2: gives me hanging power. Sometimes, man, it just I look

  Speaker 2: up and I'm just handling it better. Sometimes prayer gives

  Speaker 2: you laugh it off power. Sometimes, man, you just got

  Speaker 2: to laugh it off. Whatever, man, you trip it. Do

  Speaker 2: you know what that is? If you could do that?

  Speaker 1: You know, sometimes it gives you a show of strength, power.

  Speaker 2: Sometimes prayer allows you to have the appearance that you

  Speaker 2: got it all together. Nobody got to know the whirlwind,

  Speaker 2: the tornado, the hurricane that's swirling in your life. You
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: standing over there like the eye of the hurricane. And
• 5:30
  Speaker 2: it's all swirling around you, but you standing there like
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: the eye. You just as calm. That's what prayer does.

  Speaker 2: So when you pray, man, It builds up a lot

  Speaker 2: of things in you. You know what it's done for me?

  Speaker 2: Prayer has built up character in me. It's made me
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: have more character because I'm able to stand stronger on

  Speaker 2: the things I say because I've been praying. Because I've

  Speaker 2: been asking God for all of those return of investments.

  Speaker 2: I've been asking God for courage. I've been asking God

  Speaker 2: for hanging that power. I've been asking him to give
• 6:03
  Speaker 2: me the power to walk away. I've asked him to
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: give me ignored power. I've asked him to help me
• 6:08
  Speaker 2: laugh it off. I've asked him to show me strength.

  Speaker 2: But you know what I was doing? I was really praying,

  Speaker 2: not really for them things, be real with you. I

  Speaker 2: was asking him to help me. Lord, help me.

  Speaker 1: You ever done that? You ever asked God for help

  Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden a list of these

  Speaker 1: things show up?

  Speaker 2: See, sometimes how you want the problem to be solved

  Speaker 2: ain't the best way. There's a lesson to be learned

  Speaker 2: when we make mistakes. And sometimes you got to stay

  Speaker 2: in that fire and you got to learn that lesson.

  Speaker 2: But guess what, though? When you come out of it,

  Speaker 2: you're going to be better for it. You're going to

  Speaker 2: know more about it.

  Speaker 1: Come on, y'all. Pray. He's solid. His word is true.

  Speaker 1: It lasts forever.

  Speaker 2: all day, all night. 24 seven. He do it all day,

  Speaker 2: all night. And then some more. His word don't ever change.

  Speaker 1: That's foolishness, man. What you mean? God can get you

  Speaker 2: to do. Man, you got to be real. God can't
