- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com. Slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:10Speaker 2: It is time you believe your worries outside and laugh
- 0:14Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 0:18Speaker 2: Trade Trendholme and Rebecca Black coming up on the show today.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Florida is crazy, but Utah is making a run at
- 0:29Speaker 2: it in its own way.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Aren't they always.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I feel like this Utah thing seems like it's it's
- 0:39Speaker 2: a newer development.
- 0:42Speaker 1: No, it's I think it just Utah has always been crazy.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It's just it gets more pr these days.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Okay, So with social media, I means for that, there's
- 0:59Speaker 2: something blame. Yeah, we'll get into that.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Before the The Mormon cults in and of themselves are batshit, absolutely,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and they've that's been going on for yeah decades. Yeah,
- 1:13Speaker 1: I mean you can go back to I mean, there's
- 1:15Speaker 1: one documentary about the shootings. You know, they blood feud
- 1:19Speaker 1: between like two brothers who were you know, both wanted
- 1:22Speaker 1: to be the prophet and the slaughter and killing and
- 1:26Speaker 1: exile to Mexico and it's.
- 1:28Speaker 4: And then we gave them a reality show on TLC.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Well, there was one, uh one Netflix documentary about this
- 1:38Speaker 1: woman who basically turned herself into a prophet. And then
- 1:44Speaker 1: there was this other Utah family that had their own
- 1:46Speaker 1: YouTube channel with like, you know, quarter million subscribers about
- 1:49Speaker 1: parenting and everything else. And then the wife is you know,
- 1:54Speaker 1: the prophet tells the husband, oh, you need to just
- 1:57Speaker 1: you know, stay away, and it's like.
- 2:00Speaker 3: What are you and the wife doing? What do you
- 2:01Speaker 3: do with the kids.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It turns out like one of the kids finally escaped
- 2:04Speaker 1: and had infections and wounds.
- 2:08Speaker 2: And just so Utah coming from Florida's title that is
- 2:14Speaker 2: coming up.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Today great place to live, beautiful, gorgeous, gorgeous.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's beautiful, Like Trey said, it's a beautiful area, especially
- 2:24Speaker 2: if you're a wandering, abused child looking for it. In
- 2:32Speaker 2: a head to head battle, no one saw coming Sidney
- 2:35Speaker 2: Sweeney versus only fans models.
- 2:39Speaker 3: But I think it's.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Important that we uh start with some of the biggest
- 2:43Speaker 2: news that continues to come out of Hawaii. On yesterday's show,
- 2:47Speaker 2: we talked about the jackass throwing the rocks at the
- 2:54Speaker 2: endangered Hawaiian monk seal in Hawaii. Rightfully, so, his name
- 3:00Speaker 2: is Igor something, thirty seven year old douchebag from Seattle
- 3:07Speaker 2: and then the beatdown he got from an environmental activist
- 3:10Speaker 2: immediately after. So there's a little more to that story.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Part two to the Hawaiian monk seal beat down, and
- 3:21Speaker 2: that is from a local Hawaiian official recognizing the environmental
- 3:27Speaker 2: activists' efforts to protect what is Hawaii's.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Video of the monk seal that almost got hit by
- 3:34Speaker 5: the rock from the tourists who threw it. If you
- 3:36Speaker 5: didn't here it is again. And we've all seen, or
- 3:40Speaker 5: some of us have seen environmental activists. I like to
- 3:43Speaker 5: call him who took matters into his own hands to
- 3:45Speaker 5: educate what might happen if you mess with our land
- 3:49Speaker 5: or the animals. And our attorney over here wants to
- 3:54Speaker 5: make it clear we don't condone violence.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And I love as the video hands over to the
- 4:00Speaker 2: Hawaiian attorney with the text underneath it saying we don't
- 4:04Speaker 2: condone violence. But the face on this attorney clearly loves it.
- 4:10Speaker 2: She's not condoning it from a legal perspective, from a
- 4:13Speaker 2: human and Hawaiian perspective, she's here for it, here for
- 4:17Speaker 2: all of it, because she's not the only one in
- 4:21Speaker 2: that room. I mean, I feel all of us here
- 4:23Speaker 2: inside the treehouse can also agree that while I go
- 4:27Speaker 2: through rocks, he caught hands and we all applaud his efforts.
- 4:33Speaker 2: The environmental activists.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And in the Venn diagram of things, there are very
- 4:38Speaker 1: few things where if you put Texas and Hawaii together,
- 4:40Speaker 1: they're going to intersect.
- 4:43Speaker 3: This is going to be the one. We're right here
- 4:46Speaker 3: with you.
- 4:47Speaker 4: We're in the circle, We're in the crossover.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah. So like in you know, because like in Texas
- 4:52Speaker 2: we have our Gonzales canon, you know, come and take it.
- 4:55Speaker 2: In Hawaii it's the Monk seal.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You know. I think if you have someone saw you
- 5:04Speaker 1: actually do you know, abusing an animal here that I'd
- 5:06Speaker 1: like to think that.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yes, hell, I'd like to hear you just get shot.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It'll it'll at least a goo'll beat down, Yeah, at
- 5:15Speaker 2: the flat a little pistol whipping.
- 5:18Speaker 4: You are the worst kind of human if you're picking
- 5:20Speaker 4: on something that is completely defenseless.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, especially when the douchebag in question who's throwing rocks
- 5:28Speaker 2: at this sealed was recorded in the video saying I
- 5:32Speaker 2: don't care, I'm rich, find me with whatever you want.
- 5:36Speaker 2: So they kind of are going to do that in
- 5:39Speaker 2: a let me, let me uh so, he faces fines
- 5:44Speaker 2: of up to fifty thousand dollars and potential criminal charges
- 5:48Speaker 2: carrying up to five years in prison. I for one feel, yes,
- 5:51Speaker 2: please throw the book at him. Same but I'm vengeful.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I don't think that goes quiet far enough, especially when
- 6:01Speaker 2: he's already admit there's video evidence of him doing this.
- 6:05Speaker 2: He has not denied doing it. In fact, he basically
- 6:08Speaker 2: said I did it. Find me whatever you want. I'm rich, okay.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I have a number of ideas. The first of which is,
- 6:17Speaker 2: all right, money bags, the first part of your punishment
- 6:20Speaker 2: will be, because you are so wealthy, is to establish
- 6:24Speaker 2: and pay for a college scholarship, an annual college scholarship
- 6:28Speaker 2: for local students to go to college to study marine
- 6:32Speaker 2: biology with a specific emphasis on the protection and research
- 6:39Speaker 2: of the Hawaiian monk seal.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah. I can get on board with that.
- 6:44Speaker 2: No, no, what would you do?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Let him go to jail? I'm talking, Oh, well, excuse me,
- 6:56Speaker 3: let him go to jail.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I have a feeling the monk seal thing would be
- 7:01Speaker 1: very similar to like being a child predator, and I'm
- 7:04Speaker 1: a feeling some jail time will absolutely be.
- 7:06Speaker 3: The worst nightmare of his life. Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I don't object to your your scholarship idea, but let's
- 7:11Speaker 1: not sell short on the on the prison time.
- 7:14Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I assumed that Dan's punishments were in addition to the
- 7:18Speaker 4: prison sentence of five years.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I said step one, money bags, like
- 7:23Speaker 2: I'm I'm in full support of also going to prison. Yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 2: I also want to exploit how wealthy you claim to be.
- 7:29Speaker 2: So let's take your bank account out for a spin.
- 7:32Speaker 3: That seal was fenced in because she had just given birth.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Oh that makes it even worse a seal.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yeah, and that makes this guy a bigger pos Yes,
- 7:48Speaker 2: so let's go back to believe it's a state senator
- 7:51Speaker 2: or the local Hawaiian official. Brendan Awa.
- 7:57Speaker 5: We did make a letter of recommend recognition for mister
- 8:01Speaker 5: Ambassador of Aloha. I know everybody's trying to keep him anonymous.
- 8:07Speaker 2: The Ambassador of Alohas is the kid who's trying to
- 8:13Speaker 2: help the suspect through that fence. And I do like
- 8:18Speaker 2: how they are trying to keep the guy's identity anonymous.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Who was the defender of Hawaii. Another idea I had
- 8:27Speaker 2: was there are a number of Hawaiian defenders that we
- 8:32Speaker 2: could have line up to also help this man through
- 8:37Speaker 2: a fence, the first of which would be Dwayne the
- 8:40Speaker 2: Rock Johnson.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yes, that's literally who I was thinking.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Of, followed very closely by WWE's Roman Reigns, or honestly,
- 8:52Speaker 2: at this point, even a buff Mark Zuckerberg will have
- 8:56Speaker 2: a spot in line because he owns a good chunk
- 8:58Speaker 2: of Hawaii. Just just a whole bunch of people in
- 9:00Speaker 2: a line ready to show this guy the proper way
- 9:03Speaker 2: to go through a fence.
- 9:04Speaker 4: In Hawaii, one after another.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And here's something that is no surprise to me, and
- 9:11Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be a surprise to
- 9:12Speaker 2: you Tred or you Rebecca, because we are all animal
- 9:15Speaker 2: lovers here, and some of the people on this planet
- 9:20Speaker 2: we hate the most are those that abuse animals, and unfortunately,
- 9:24Speaker 2: we've all had experience with that, covering various stories in
- 9:28Speaker 2: our broadcast careers. So I know that there are people
- 9:32Speaker 2: out there that do not hold animals in the same
- 9:35Speaker 2: regard that we do. And of course they are going
- 9:38Speaker 2: to rear their ugly heads in these scenarios, and they're
- 9:42Speaker 2: going to try to do it with an air of superiority. Right.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Here is one such example. On an account I saw
- 9:50Speaker 2: a guy commented on a video of this Hawaiian seal
- 9:54Speaker 2: beat down. I get it to come up here. The
- 10:03Speaker 2: guy says on the comment, so it's okay to allow
- 10:06Speaker 2: violence over some damn animal. The first response back to him, Yes.
- 10:13Speaker 2: The next one is Patrick from SpongeBob, drioling like an idiot,
- 10:17Speaker 2: also in support of yes. And this to me is
- 10:22Speaker 2: a very stark reminder. It is an important lesson to learn.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Not everyone believes what you believe. Okay, what you may
- 10:34Speaker 2: think is no big deal may in fact be the
- 10:37Speaker 2: biggest deal to somebody else. So you may think it's
- 10:41Speaker 2: not okay to have more violence because of a guy
- 10:46Speaker 2: throwing rocks at a seal, whereas I believe, and Trey believes,
- 10:52Speaker 2: I think, and Rebecca probably believes as well, that you
- 10:56Speaker 2: should catch more hell for it because you are taking
- 11:01Speaker 2: this violence to what is, in essence a defenseless animal.
- 11:06Speaker 2: So it's again, this is one of those things I've
- 11:09Speaker 2: been on for years that just because you may live
- 11:13Speaker 2: by a certain standard doesn't require anybody else to live
- 11:16Speaker 2: by that same standard. Just because you think it shouldn't
- 11:18Speaker 2: be a big deal. To throw rocks at animals. I
- 11:21Speaker 2: may think it's no big deal to drown you.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, if you harm children are animals for your own amusement.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I mean I think you should just be put to
- 11:36Speaker 1: death or at the very least in this day and age,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I don't know why we can't find an island and
- 11:41Speaker 1: just make a hell of a reality show of you know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: if you win the competition and you survive, you're the
- 11:48Speaker 1: only one standing, you'll get in a minimal security prison.
- 11:53Speaker 4: I thank you for saying a minimal security person and
- 11:56Speaker 4: not like freedom. Yeah, no, no, no, you don't get freedom,
- 11:59Speaker 4: no matter or how how much you win.
- 12:01Speaker 2: No, you're f in the scenario, matter what. And that
- 12:05Speaker 2: was another thought I had. I love your idea, Trey,
- 12:08Speaker 2: A similar idea I had at three am during my
- 12:10Speaker 2: three am thoughts. This morning was after the establishment of
- 12:15Speaker 2: the scholarship right, multiple annual Right, so there's going to
- 12:19Speaker 2: be numbers of students, yes.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Yes, for years, years on years.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Ideally generations is prison for a while and then maybe
- 12:30Speaker 2: you know, put him in a raft and then just
- 12:35Speaker 2: shove him out into the middle of this of the Pacific,
- 12:37Speaker 2: off the coast of Hawaii and say good luck, sir,
- 12:45Speaker 2: or please look this is this is a safe space
- 12:48Speaker 2: for ideas.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We have this notion about seals that they're sweet kind,
- 12:52Speaker 1: but they're actually pretty mean.
- 12:54Speaker 3: The other option is let him.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Go, you know, put him in one of these where
- 13:00Speaker 1: you see the pictures of there's like a thousand seals gathered.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Put him in the middle of that, yeah, swimming around
- 13:05Speaker 3: in the ocean. Let's see if maybe they want to
- 13:07Speaker 3: feed upon.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Him and cover him in mackerel guts.
- 13:14Speaker 1: What the most damage there right on his bubbles, No,
- 13:19Speaker 1: no need for mackerel guts. Just about thirty well placed
- 13:24Speaker 1: incisions in his skin. So he's just bleeding out in
- 13:29Speaker 1: the ocean.
- 13:31Speaker 2: So if anyone has any you know, thoughts about who
- 13:35Speaker 2: the most sadistic individual is inside the tree house, I
- 13:39Speaker 2: think you have an idea that I thought it was
- 13:45Speaker 2: just like, oh yeah, yes, how about a nice swim, sir.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It is though it really doesn't. It drives me absolutely crazy,
- 13:56Speaker 2: and this is a similar thing. And not to dredge
- 14:00Speaker 2: something that's even worse, although that's technically what I'm doing.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I remember being on the radio on sports radio when
- 14:06Speaker 2: Michael Vick's situation was happening. Yeah, and there were countless
- 14:09Speaker 2: people you know, ah, it's no big deal, blah blah
- 14:12Speaker 2: blah about what he did, or even people you know saying, oh,
- 14:17Speaker 2: he deserves a second chance. Just because you think that
- 14:21Speaker 2: doesn't mean I do. And I think that's an important
- 14:25Speaker 2: thing that most people can't seem to grasp just because you,
- 14:28Speaker 2: in a comment on social media thinks that what this
- 14:32Speaker 2: guy did isn't that bad or he didn't deserve to
- 14:36Speaker 2: get his ass beat afterwards, It doesn't matter what you believe.
- 14:40Speaker 2: All that mattered in that moment was I gore the
- 14:44Speaker 2: douchebag made a choice to do something, and somebody else
- 14:50Speaker 2: made a choice to do something. It just happens that
- 14:53Speaker 2: their two things are vastly different, even.
- 14:59Speaker 4: If you don't believe in violence for violence or whatever.
- 15:03Speaker 4: The dude in his video basically said, look what I'm doing,
- 15:07Speaker 4: come at me, bro, which opened the invitation for whatever
- 15:11Speaker 4: comes back on him. And if that was a massive
- 15:14Speaker 4: beating by a Hawaiian local, so be it. You asked
- 15:18Speaker 4: for it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: That's actually interesting because like, I don't know if they're
- 15:21Speaker 2: actually going to, you know, charge the environmental activist at
- 15:25Speaker 2: all in this. They may have to by the level
- 15:29Speaker 2: of law, at which point you can easily say, like,
- 15:31Speaker 2: we request a jury trial of his local peers.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Easy, But if they even really needed any sort of
- 15:38Speaker 2: an actual defense. Go with Rebecca's where the guy is like,
- 15:40Speaker 2: I don't care, you can't do it to me, and
- 15:42Speaker 2: then it's like, you're right, and it does kind of
- 15:44Speaker 2: open the door to the only thing I'm going to
- 15:46Speaker 2: respond to is getting my ass beat people. And so
- 15:49Speaker 2: what do you do? You beat his ass? YEP, I've
- 15:54Speaker 2: not heard from the Igor guy at all. I don't
- 15:57Speaker 2: know Trey or Rebecca if you've seen any statement or
- 16:00Speaker 2: anything come out of his camp.
- 16:04Speaker 3: What's he gonna say?
- 16:06Speaker 4: Really, he has no defense here. He cannot win this situation,
- 16:09Speaker 4: I don't think in any way, shape or form.
- 16:12Speaker 2: But we're talking about a guy who, after he is
- 16:15Speaker 2: told he's been recorded throwing rocks at an endangered animal,
- 16:19Speaker 2: he says, I don't care. Find me. I'm rich, I
- 16:22Speaker 2: can afford it. I would love to hear him say
- 16:25Speaker 2: something else, because I'm sure he's got more to say,
- 16:28Speaker 2: and I, for one, would like to open that for him, like.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Double down, please double down, Please double down. He's gonna
- 16:35Speaker 4: double He's gonna double down.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Because here's the thing. Even if he was to come
- 16:39Speaker 2: out and say, you know what, I was wrong or
- 16:41Speaker 2: done it, I'm not gonna believe it.
- 16:43Speaker 3: No, not at all.
- 16:44Speaker 2: No. So that's why I'm curious to see if he
- 16:48Speaker 2: would in fact say something.
- 16:54Speaker 3: The fact he hasn't.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I am assuming he at least is has enough money
- 16:58Speaker 1: that he's hired a good defense attorney who has told
- 17:01Speaker 1: him shut the f upa that Nope, nope, don't talk.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Although it would be fitting if the environmental active has
- 17:13Speaker 2: hit him so hard, I'm sorry, not hit him, because
- 17:15Speaker 2: that didn't happen. Uh, you guided him through that fence
- 17:19Speaker 2: in such a fashion that his mouth needs to be
- 17:22Speaker 2: that his jaw needs to be wired shut.
- 17:23Speaker 6: Well.
- 17:24Speaker 4: He all fell We saw it, right, he fell through
- 17:26Speaker 4: the fence.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You gotta be careful when you went and look. Look,
- 17:30Speaker 2: it's tricky.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Walking around with like rocks in Hawaii. I've been. It's hard.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's different when you go from sand to normal ground
- 17:37Speaker 2: and there's a fence in the way. I mean, Hawaiian
- 17:39Speaker 2: fences are just they're different than state side fences.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Tricky.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Yes, they'll punch you in the face repeatedly, and they
- 17:51Speaker 2: really should come with some sort of warning.
- 18:00Speaker 4: You're listening to the tree House.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.

- 18:48Speaker 7: baseline and that's what we're sticking with. We've had some
- 18:51Speaker 7: really great guests that have been very informative, and I
- 18:55Speaker 7: look forward to getting some feedback and having more people
- 18:58Speaker 7: listen to that show and hopefully it really helps understand
- 19:01Speaker 7: and know your home better.
- 19:03Speaker 2: And it really is an approach where there are no
- 19:05Speaker 2: dumb questions. We want this to be sort of homeownership
- 19:08Speaker 2: one oh one, because most of us don't deal with
- 19:10Speaker 2: these certain things every day the way that people like
- 19:13Speaker 2: Daniel and the other experts we've had on the show do.

- 20:25Speaker 2: not have to see the Iboor guy throw rocks at
- 20:27Speaker 2: the Hawaiian monk Sieald is Stevie Wonder and he is
- 20:31Speaker 2: seventy six today.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Ah, that's debatable.
- 20:35Speaker 2: That is one of the great all time conspiracy theories.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Please share, Rebecca, Oh, one of.
- 20:40Speaker 4: My absolute favorites that Stevie Wonder is not actually blind
- 20:45Speaker 4: and there is video evidence on YouTube of him catching
- 20:48Speaker 4: a microphone. I do not think your sixth sense is
- 20:52Speaker 4: that good.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I have seen enough Ninja movies in my lifetime to
- 20:56Speaker 2: know that it is possible from Hollywood to be able
- 20:59Speaker 2: to catch things despite being blind.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Okay, So number two evidence is he got on an
- 21:06Speaker 4: elevator with Shaq. Shack has told this story and he
- 21:09Speaker 4: was like, hey, Shaq, what's up. How would he know
- 21:12Speaker 4: that Shaq is on the elevator when he gets on,
- 21:15Speaker 4: Shaq had not spoken to the man.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Maybe someone whispered in his ear. There's Shaquille O'Neil is
- 21:21Speaker 2: in the elevator.
- 21:22Speaker 4: It could have been. I'm just saying, Shack all the story.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Shaq can tell that story all he wants. I find
- 21:29Speaker 2: fault in the believability of the story period, because I
- 21:32Speaker 2: don't think Shaquille O'Neil can fit in a standard size elevator.
- 21:38Speaker 4: I mean he might not. It was he crouched in
- 21:40Speaker 4: the corner. We don't know.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You'd have to be right. And look, I think, look,
- 21:47Speaker 2: I am not a conspiracy theorist at all, but but
- 21:52Speaker 2: the Stevie Wonder thing has legs. I think it's hysterical.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I don't think it's true. I don't know, but time permitting,
- 22:00Speaker 2: we may have a story later today that shows it
- 22:03Speaker 2: is possible to get away with faking blindness for a
- 22:06Speaker 2: period of time. The difference is though, with Stevie Wonder,
- 22:11Speaker 2: no pun intended. The man's been in the public eye
- 22:13Speaker 2: his entire life.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Right, so he started as a child, is what I'm hearing.
- 22:18Speaker 2: So you're saying he's just really practiced.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Yes, he's so good at it now it's like second nature.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Oh man, I just are there any other examples you
- 22:30Speaker 2: can think of? Because he caught a microphone one time,
- 22:33Speaker 2: Shaquil O'Neil tells a story that Stevie Wonder walked onto
- 22:36Speaker 2: an elevator knew he was there. I feel like there's
- 22:39Speaker 2: more to it.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I'm sure there are more. I would have to do
- 22:42Speaker 4: some more research. It's been a minute since I've fallen
- 22:44Speaker 4: down the Stevie Wonder not blind rabbit hole. I'll get
- 22:48Speaker 4: back to you.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Which, by the way, if Stevie Wonder was in fact blind,
- 22:52Speaker 2: you would think he would fall in more holes. Has
- 22:56Speaker 2: he fallen in one? Ever?
- 23:02Speaker 4: Like if they were real, he'd fall off the stage
- 23:03Speaker 4: from time to time, and that hasn't happened yet exactly.
- 23:06Speaker 2: He always knows where the edge of the stage is.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Yeah, getting on getting off not a problem.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Because he moves around so much on stage.
- 23:15Speaker 4: He sits in a chair if I'm not mistaken, in
- 23:18Speaker 4: front of a keyboard at the piano.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but what is impressed.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I don't know if you know this or not that
- 23:24Speaker 1: Stevie Wonder on a lot of his songs he's playing
- 23:27Speaker 1: every instrument.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Oh, I did not know that.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't realize that either.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I mean a lot of it. Yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 1: He was one of the first artists that really used
- 23:36Speaker 1: synthesized music. I knew you back God, but he is
- 23:43Speaker 1: responsible for putting most of his tracks together.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Wow, I know that. I know that Prince was famous
- 23:50Speaker 2: for playing at times all the instruments on at least
- 23:54Speaker 2: one or two or three of his albums and like,
- 23:56Speaker 2: you know what, I don't need studio musicians. I'll just
- 23:57Speaker 2: play it all myself.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Yeah, did what's trying to think what the song is?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Uh?
- 24:06Speaker 1: There's one song Prince did that the intro? What's the
- 24:08Speaker 1: one is that when does cry the guitar intro? He's
- 24:13Speaker 1: he was never able to replicate it.
- 24:15Speaker 3: It was like he laid it down for that one.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Ye know, Uh, that's why do it again?
- 24:22Speaker 3: No, it was like it was like he was just
- 24:24Speaker 3: out of his mind that day.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Wow, I can't fathom that love. I can't either, Like
- 24:30Speaker 2: I am so talented. I did something that could never
- 24:32Speaker 2: be done again, even by me. Yeah. So has anyone
- 24:37Speaker 2: been able to replicate it?
- 24:41Speaker 3: No?
- 24:41Speaker 2: One really know?
- 24:43Speaker 4: What is what are you doing that's that special that
- 24:46Speaker 4: nobody else can replicate ever?
- 24:49Speaker 1: Like you go back and watch, I mean everyone's seen
- 24:51Speaker 1: it at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when
- 24:53Speaker 1: he's that's they're celebrating George Harrison and they do the
- 24:57Speaker 1: when my guitar gently weeps and and Prince, Yeah, he's
- 25:01Speaker 1: with all these legendary guitarists and then he just goes
- 25:06Speaker 1: on this riff that's just even the other guitarists are going,
- 25:10Speaker 1: holy shit.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I mean it is. If you haven't seen it, look
- 25:16Speaker 3: it up on YouTube. It is one of the most
- 25:17Speaker 3: spectacular things you will see.
- 25:21Speaker 2: All Right, I gotta look that up. One of my
- 25:25Speaker 2: other favorite stupid conspiracies legitimate conspiracies, but that's one thing,
- 25:30Speaker 2: but I prefer this stupid conspiracy.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I thought Stevie Wonder was said he I don't think
- 25:36Speaker 1: he was born blind, but that for a long time
- 25:39Speaker 1: he could see kind of outlines of things.
- 25:42Speaker 4: I think I've heard that too, Trey. Okay, like he
- 25:46Speaker 4: could just see like blobs.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, so so so in the case of
- 25:51Speaker 2: Shaquille O'Neil on the Elevator, Stevie Wonder walks onto an
- 25:54Speaker 2: elevator and as he's walking on, he sees the outline
- 25:58Speaker 2: have you seen mint q? And he knows it's black
- 26:01Speaker 2: and therefore it must be Shaquill O'Neill. It's not like
- 26:04Speaker 2: he's the only seventy plus black man on.
- 26:07Speaker 3: The Pretty sure, Stevie.
- 26:08Speaker 1: First of all, he always has someone with him, and
- 26:10Speaker 1: so I'm pretty sure there was someone going, hey, about
- 26:12Speaker 1: to get in the elevator with Shack.
- 26:15Speaker 4: It's possible. I'm just telling you what Shaq said. You
- 26:17Speaker 4: can look it up on YouTube as well.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I also heard I also heard Shaquil O'Neil and
- 26:23Speaker 2: some clip say something like blah blah blah no cap.
- 26:26Speaker 3: So I mean, I.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Just have a problem with with middle aged us is
- 26:32Speaker 2: trying to sound like the kids. It just it doesn't work. Oh.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I love Shack. I think if I met him in
- 26:37Speaker 4: real life, we would become instant best friends. It's a
- 26:39Speaker 4: whole weird scenario that I've had for a long time.
- 26:42Speaker 4: I believe that actually now that he lives in Doubt
- 26:44Speaker 4: in like the Dallas area, from time to time, I'm like, oh,
- 26:46Speaker 4: come on, one day, I'm going to see you. It'll happen, Yeah,
- 26:50Speaker 4: and our relationships is going to blossom and take off.
- 26:52Speaker 4: And then I'm going to get to try on his
- 26:53Speaker 4: clothes in his closet.
- 26:57Speaker 2: That is such a specific, fantasy, specific that I think
- 27:01Speaker 2: I need to warn Shack.
- 27:03Speaker 4: It might be a little stockery, but think how fun
- 27:07Speaker 4: it would be to try on all his giant clothes.
- 27:09Speaker 4: I would feel so small and skinny.
- 27:12Speaker 1: He went to brunch at a place years ago, and
- 27:16Speaker 1: his order was two dozen eggs, oh man, two pounds
- 27:22Speaker 1: of bacon, and I think it was two gallons of
- 27:27Speaker 1: apple juice.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yo, man's gotta eat. He's just laying the groundwork to
- 27:41Speaker 2: have bigger clothes. So when he comes home someday and
- 27:43Speaker 2: Rebecca's in his closet wearing his stuff, and that's how
- 27:46Speaker 2: they're gonna meet, Let's be honest, she'll feel super tiny
- 27:50Speaker 2: and happy. One of my other stupid conspiracies that I
- 27:55Speaker 2: don't necessarily believe but I love because it's so stupid
- 27:59Speaker 2: is that Pitbull and Kenny Chesney are the same person
- 28:03Speaker 2: because you've never seen them in the same place at
- 28:05Speaker 2: the same time.
- 28:06Speaker 4: That's a good one. I haven't heard that one.
- 28:09Speaker 2: They look eerily the same.
- 28:12Speaker 4: I also like the Garth Brooks murder one.
- 28:14Speaker 2: That's a good one. Mm hmm, that's a lot of fun. Yeap,
- 28:18Speaker 2: like Trey's looking at me with the pit Bull and
- 28:20Speaker 2: Kenny Chesney thing. Sid go look at a side by
- 28:24Speaker 2: side photo tray sides.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Being small and bald.
- 28:28Speaker 4: They look nothing alike.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah they do. No. I also feel like there's a
- 28:34Speaker 2: third member of this conspiracy. Uh. Todd Frost is our
- 28:39Speaker 2: former assistant program director at lone Star ninety two five
- 28:43Speaker 2: and ninety seven to one the Eagle. He also is
- 28:46Speaker 2: a tiny bald man. He could sort of pass for
- 28:50Speaker 2: Pitbull Kenny Chesney, but also the bald dancing guy from
- 28:55Speaker 2: the six Flex commercials, all four of them same guy.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I feel like that guy.
- 29:00Speaker 1: It's like, you know, fast forward thirty years for pit
- 29:02Speaker 1: Bull or somebody.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I just like it be hysterical if the dancing
- 29:07Speaker 2: bald man at six Flags actually was pit bull er
- 29:09Speaker 2: Kenny Chesney.
- 29:11Speaker 1: But if you'll ever get Kenny Chesney to go on
- 29:13Speaker 1: stage and call himself mister Worldwide, then I'll give you.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Some you know, creed over that.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Don't tempt me.
- 29:22Speaker 3: As you have run into him.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I have run into him almost almost literally on stairs
- 29:28Speaker 2: once I.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Went and saw his So I saw the Kenny Chesney
- 29:33Speaker 1: at the Sphere in Vegas, and which if you've never been, go.
- 29:39Speaker 4: I want to go so bad.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Go see any concert. It is one of the most
- 29:42Speaker 1: breathtaking experiences. But I literally I sent Dan because there's
- 29:47Speaker 1: a whole he did this whole thing where the drone
- 29:50Speaker 1: shots of all of Saint Thomas, Saint John and I.
- 29:54Speaker 1: So I sent Dan and Tara like, well, no, I
- 29:58Speaker 1: was like, you know, hey, this looks for me. He's like, yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 1: that's where we were this.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Yeah, because like trays that video and I'm looking at
- 30:04Speaker 2: the video and I send back with an arrow marked
- 30:07Speaker 2: up on it and be like, you know that photo
- 30:09Speaker 2: of you that you use for your cover photo on Facebook,
- 30:11Speaker 2: this is where it was taken. So you kind of
- 30:12Speaker 2: saw yourself at the sphere in Kenny Jesse's video congradulation.
- 30:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 4: What a full circle moment there anyway.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Uh, Stevie Wonder is seventy six years old today, despite
- 30:24Speaker 2: everything that has been said just based on the man's birthday,
- 30:28Speaker 2: Is anyone else surprised by the fact that he's not
- 30:30Speaker 2: older than seventy six. I figured he'd be at least
- 30:33Speaker 2: in his eighties.
- 30:35Speaker 4: I mean yeah, quite honestly, yes, because he was like old.
- 30:42Speaker 2: When we were kids.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Yeah, like he's always been old.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like a blind black singing a vagoda.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Again.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I will always go back to this point. Wilford Brimley,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I think, was like flatine.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he was younger than Paul Rudd is now,
- 31:04Speaker 4: and Paul Rudd, as we know, never ages or whatever.
- 31:06Speaker 4: So the fact that Wilford Brimley looked as ancient as
- 31:09Speaker 4: he did at forty nine is insane and fifty one yeah,
- 31:14Speaker 4: you nowhere near the Wilford Brimley category. Tray.
- 31:18Speaker 2: If they were to redo Cocoon with today's standards, old
- 31:22Speaker 2: people would have to be in like their eighties or
- 31:24Speaker 2: nineties have to be Yes, most of.
- 31:26Speaker 3: The Golden Girls were in their early fifties.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Dude, that one kills me. That one kills me because.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Be Arthur looked old from the day she was born, I.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Think, right like she was always gray headed. Yes.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Also, just because I don't want to go ahead, Drey, No.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Be Arthur just she was like, looked like my grandmother.
- 31:50Speaker 3: I mean, it was just always.
- 31:53Speaker 2: And there's one other birthday I want to mention today.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Well it was a couple, but we're not going to
- 31:56Speaker 2: get to all of them. But what I want to
- 31:57Speaker 2: mention today, just because it's sort of pertinent, Robert Pattinson
- 32:00Speaker 2: turns forty today. So this is a stretch, but hang
- 32:04Speaker 2: with me for a moment. Okay. The other day we
- 32:07Speaker 2: talked about Tracy Lord's Yes, Trey, I.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Love how your prefaces.
- 32:14Speaker 1: This is a stretch when we just got finished started
- 32:16Speaker 1: with Stevie Wonder and ended with Kitty Chesney and the Islands.
- 32:19Speaker 2: But okay, go ahead, hear me out. So Robert Pattinson
- 32:26Speaker 2: is forty today. Last week we talked about Tracy Lord's
- 32:30Speaker 2: and it was her birthday and what an amazing arc
- 32:33Speaker 2: her career had because she started out as underage porn
- 32:36Speaker 2: and did the almost unthinkable, which is crossing over into
- 32:40Speaker 2: mainstream film out of porn. Very few other actors have
- 32:45Speaker 2: been able to do that. What do you think is
- 32:50Speaker 2: more difficult going from porn to mainstream or, in the
- 32:53Speaker 2: case of Robert Pattinson, going from Twilight anything else.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Yes, Robert Pattinson, hands down, I'm with you.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Going from sparkly vampire in three films. You would think
- 33:06Speaker 2: would type cast you to the ends of the earth.
- 33:08Speaker 2: But the man is resilient. He's so good. He's such
- 33:12Speaker 2: a good actor that he's a phenomenal batman. When I
- 33:17Speaker 2: first heard they had cast him at It, I was like,
- 33:19Speaker 2: this is it. This it's trash. That franchise is cooked
- 33:23Speaker 2: before it even gets started. And then I saw the
- 33:25Speaker 2: first trailer and I thought, ooh s good batman. And
- 33:28Speaker 2: I saw the movie and still think it.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Yeah, phenomenal actor.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Yeah, No, he's good. He's really good.
- 33:36Speaker 3: I know and I liked him as Batman.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I'm not I think probably one of the things that
- 33:41Speaker 1: is after Twilight, I feel like he took a ten
- 33:43Speaker 1: year hiatus.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Oh, he just did other stuff.
- 33:47Speaker 4: He did stuff that like didn't really hit the mainstream.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Like he's had a lot of really good films that
- 33:52Speaker 4: kind of are under the radar.
- 33:54Speaker 2: He did a I can't remember the name of the film,
- 33:55Speaker 2: but he did a movie it might just be called
- 33:57Speaker 2: The Lighthouse. It was something in or around the Lighthouse
- 34:00Speaker 2: with Willem Defoe.
- 34:01Speaker 4: I mean, that's which was amazing.
- 34:04Speaker 2: The Mickey seventeen whatever it was. I haven't seen that yet,
- 34:07Speaker 2: but just the clips that I've seen to that is great.
- 34:09Speaker 2: He was phenomenal and tenant. There's a movie with Timothy
- 34:17Speaker 2: Shalome I think, I think it's just called The King
- 34:21Speaker 2: and Robert Pattinson plays the son of an of an
- 34:27Speaker 2: enemy and they fight, and like Robert Pattinson plays the
- 34:32Speaker 2: best jerk you have ever seen in most films. In
- 34:35Speaker 2: that specific movie, he plays a Frenchman and he's just
- 34:39Speaker 2: the worst. Dude's a good actor. But again, most importantly
- 34:43Speaker 2: is the fact that he actually turned in a really
- 34:45Speaker 2: good Batman.
- 34:47Speaker 4: No, I always question how he even got a role
- 34:49Speaker 4: after Twilight, because I had friends that made me go
- 34:51Speaker 4: and suffer through those movies and it was awful. They
- 34:56Speaker 4: were all awful. It was like, did somebody and you
- 35:00Speaker 4: a script yesterday and then you're expected to do do
- 35:04Speaker 4: it today. It was so bad.
- 35:06Speaker 2: And then having to act opposite Kristen Stewart or I.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Hate her so much. I do not like her in anything.
- 35:14Speaker 4: She just looks I don't know, I don't like her.
- 35:19Speaker 2: So, Trey, you're not on board with Robert Pattinson in
- 35:21Speaker 2: general or rob like you said you liked him as
- 35:23Speaker 2: the Batman.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I liked, and I actually I didn't. I mean, they
- 35:27Speaker 1: weren't my favorite, but I didn't even mind the Twilight movies.
- 35:29Speaker 3: But I just I.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Felt like he kind of dropped off, And obviously he didn't.
- 35:36Speaker 1: But he wasn't in the in the spotlight like he
- 35:41Speaker 1: was during the Twilight series, Oh for sure. But then again,
- 35:44Speaker 1: I mean that is like the millennials, you know, love story,
- 35:49Speaker 1: so he has a built in audience forever.
- 35:54Speaker 2: And then I think it was also a story that
- 35:57Speaker 2: was it?
- 35:58Speaker 3: The story?
- 35:58Speaker 2: Was it? Jennifer Lawrence have told the story about Robert
- 36:01Speaker 2: Pattinson eating out of her trash.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Yes, I think so. I think you're right. He came
- 36:05Speaker 4: the Girls Night and then ended up eating food out
- 36:08Speaker 4: of her trash.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Yeah. It was on The Grand Norton Show. Jennifer Lawrence
- 36:11Speaker 2: is on it. She's telling the story about Oh, she
- 36:13Speaker 2: and Robert Pattins in her buds and he was out
- 36:15Speaker 2: drinking and she's like, come on over, and he, you know,
- 36:18Speaker 2: busting on girls Night, ends up eating food out of
- 36:20Speaker 2: her trash.
- 36:22Speaker 4: He's so down to earth.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I know, they're just like us, just.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Like us, except I've never eaten out of the trash.
- 36:28Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm so glad, I said.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yet, I'm so glad you said trash because you started off,
- 36:38Speaker 1: you know, eating out Jennifer Lawrence, and I was like, Wow.
- 36:41Speaker 2: All of a sudden, you're live on The Grand Norton Show.

- 37:55Speaker 2: and Rebecca a few more minutes, Let's go to Utah,
- 37:59Speaker 2: shall we. It's beautiful all times of year, but especially
- 38:03Speaker 2: when you've got a Utah couple jailed for making an
- 38:06Speaker 2: eleven year old sleep in a freezing garage to learn
- 38:09Speaker 2: how to be homeless. And if I'm being honest, like
- 38:13Speaker 2: they could have gone further.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they could have eaten out Jennifer Lawrence's trash.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That's gonna teach you some things about being homeless. A
- 38:25Speaker 2: Taylorsville couple Taylorsville, Utah. A Taylorsville, Utah couple is behind
- 38:29Speaker 2: bars after they allegedly sent their child to the garage
- 38:33Speaker 2: in near freezing temperatures without a coat to learn how
- 38:37Speaker 2: to be homeless. I'll be honest with you, I really
- 38:40Speaker 2: still feel like they could have done more there, because
- 38:43Speaker 2: most homeless people don't have a cozy garage to curl
- 38:46Speaker 2: up in. Robert James McIntosh and Lucia Liney Macintosh, both
- 38:52Speaker 2: forty six, have each been arrested on one count of
- 38:55Speaker 2: intentional or knowing aggravated child abuse first degree. Melany be
- 39:00Speaker 2: formally in charge, but according to documents, women contacted Taylorsville
- 39:03Speaker 2: Police for a welfare check in her neighbor. She reported
- 39:06Speaker 2: that the night before, her neighbor's eleven year old child
- 39:08Speaker 2: came to her door and asked to use the bathroom.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Child victim allegedly told the neighbor they wanted to live
- 39:14Speaker 2: with her and didn't want to go home because their
- 39:16Speaker 2: parents locked them out of the house. While the child
- 39:18Speaker 2: was at her house, the victim's mother showed up to
- 39:20Speaker 2: bring the victim home. Later that night. The neighbor said
- 39:22Speaker 2: she saw the eleven year old in the garage for
- 39:24Speaker 2: several hours without a coat. After receiving the report, the
- 39:28Speaker 2: police responded immediately for the welfare check. When they arrived, Alicia,
- 39:31Speaker 2: the child's mother, answered the door and state of the
- 39:33Speaker 2: eleven year old was in the garage and had been
- 39:35Speaker 2: sent there as punishment. Police said, you're under arrest.
- 39:38Speaker 4: You don't admit, deny, deny the ny lady, come on, Uh.
- 39:45Speaker 2: This kind of goes back to like when we were
- 39:46Speaker 2: all growing up. If a neighbor reported our parents were like,
- 39:49Speaker 2: I think there's some child something going on over there.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Our parents probably would have been like, yeah, and tell
- 39:56Speaker 2: the police. Here's what they did and here's why I'm
- 39:59Speaker 2: doing that, and the police be like, cool, carry on,
- 40:01Speaker 2: we'll see you later. But today's standards, everyone's taken a ride.
- 40:06Speaker 2: There's going to be investigations there. But we were talking
- 40:09Speaker 2: about it at the beginning of the show. Whenever this
- 40:12Speaker 2: weird stuff happens, especially family stuff, it seems to be
- 40:16Speaker 2: happening in Utah. Florida is the king of crazy. I
- 40:19Speaker 2: don't think that will ever change. Florida's wild Utah has
- 40:25Speaker 2: some other gear that is just.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Weird. Mormon.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Okay, that's the common denominator there for the factor. The
- 40:37Speaker 4: X factor is Mormon.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Well, I mean, look, I mean most of what I
- 40:41Speaker 2: know about the Mormon religion I learned watching South Park,
- 40:43Speaker 2: and to be fair, yeah, pretty accurate with it. And
- 40:48Speaker 2: so when you learn about it, it's like okay, really,
- 40:53Speaker 2: but then you see all the monuments and the testaments
- 40:57Speaker 2: built around their religions, like, okay, I get it. And
- 40:59Speaker 2: there is a level of kind of like living in
- 41:03Speaker 2: Highland Park, Dallas, it's you have to maintain a certain status, yap.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Whenever you leave the house, you've got to look a
- 41:12Speaker 2: certain way and blah blah blah. There's expectations in society
- 41:16Speaker 2: and Utah seems to have a lot of it.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Well, you've got the devout Mormons that are the predominant
- 41:24Speaker 1: group in Utah.
- 41:26Speaker 3: You have the ones that are Mormon light that are
- 41:32Speaker 3: on TV shows and things like that.
- 41:35Speaker 2: The real Mormon housewives types. Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: But because if you're true to the Mormon you know,
- 41:44Speaker 1: you don't drink, you don't smoke, you don't you have caffeine.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And it's very patriarchal.
- 41:52Speaker 4: And you know, it's almost like they have their own
- 41:57Speaker 4: set of rules and laws and stuff like that they
- 42:00Speaker 4: abide by.
- 42:01Speaker 2: They kind of do and like everything trade is laid out,
- 42:03Speaker 2: all those all those parameters. It's like, man, that sounds
- 42:06Speaker 2: like a really boring television joke because most of the
- 42:08Speaker 2: Housewives shows are fueled on drugs and booze.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Yeah well yeah, I mean it's they're all they all
- 42:20Speaker 3: believe they're going to be the next you know it.
- 42:22Speaker 3: A lot of the.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Craziness centers on around people thinking they're gonna be the
- 42:25Speaker 1: next prophet and declaring themselves so.
- 42:28Speaker 3: And then a lot of times it's like two males
- 42:34Speaker 3: and they're going to fight to the death of it's
- 42:39Speaker 3: they do some bizarre stuff.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Thank you for the understatement of the week, Tray. I
- 42:45Speaker 2: would also like to point out that I'm wary of
- 42:48Speaker 2: anyone that claims to be or wants to be a
- 42:52Speaker 2: prophet or profit adjacent and I don't need the most
- 42:56Speaker 2: recent season of The Boys to help me come to
- 42:59Speaker 2: that conclusion, although it has helped a lot. So Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 2: the idea of the profit type stuff and building control
- 43:08Speaker 2: and societies around religion just just makes my skin crawl already.
- 43:11Speaker 4: Like we all grew up in like the Robert Tilton era.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Did we learn nothing from that?
- 43:19Speaker 3: Yeah, they weren't declaring themselves profits, they were just no.
- 43:22Speaker 4: But like I just remember like in the summertime, my
- 43:24Speaker 4: brother and I would watch him on TV and he
- 43:26Speaker 4: would like have people call in and he would pray
- 43:28Speaker 4: over like the prayer requests that came in or whatever
- 43:31Speaker 4: as healing of them. So it was like the beginning
- 43:34Speaker 4: of that whole kind of movement, if you will. And
- 43:37Speaker 4: I think as a kid, being skeptical has taught me
- 43:40Speaker 4: to know that like odds are, this is not going
- 43:44Speaker 4: to be a prophet of any kind.
- 43:46Speaker 2: It's like, uh, because I also grew up in the
- 43:48Speaker 2: land of Oral Roberts. Yes, in northeastern Oklahoma. Then you
- 43:52Speaker 2: had Jim and Tammy, Faye Baker, all those types. But yeah,
- 43:56Speaker 2: they're just they're just there's some.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Don't forget Jimmy Swaggered and.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you Jimmy Swagger. He's he's really one
- 44:02Speaker 2: of the ultimates. That man could cry on a dime.
- 44:06Speaker 2: That was a talent. But there seemed to be something
- 44:10Speaker 2: in the water in Utah. It's a beautiful state, arguably
- 44:14Speaker 2: the most beautiful in the United States, but something weird
- 44:18Speaker 2: is there. And I guess you're right, maybe it's just
- 44:20Speaker 2: all stemming from the Mormonism.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it's.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Not to offend anyone, but by most theologians like it's
- 44:29Speaker 1: a cult. Yeah, and because it involves a Third Testament
- 44:34Speaker 1: of Jesus, almost everyone else.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Goes, yeah, no, it did happen.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Uh.
- 44:41Speaker 3: It was a bloody feud for for land and they
- 44:44Speaker 3: ended up in Utah.
- 44:46Speaker 4: There is safety in numbers. I'm guessing like, hey, if
- 44:49Speaker 4: we all joined together in this one area, there's not well.
- 44:52Speaker 3: It was no.
- 44:52Speaker 1: They all they all wanted to be away from everyone
- 44:54Speaker 1: because they were practicing polygamy and had a very own,
- 44:57Speaker 1: their own, very interesting set of rules on how things
- 45:00Speaker 1: should be done. So they went out west and found
- 45:03Speaker 1: you to Utah, and they have their own I mean
- 45:09Speaker 1: it's very wealthy, they have their own businesses, they're all.
- 45:11Speaker 3: I mean, it's very encapsulated.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I knew it was a weird religion when the seventh
- 45:18Speaker 2: grade basketball team I was on was coached by a
- 45:21Speaker 2: Mormon and his son who's also Mormon, was on the team,
- 45:24Speaker 2: and they were like, hey, we have this league, the
- 45:26Speaker 2: Church League. You want to come play, We need an
- 45:28Speaker 2: extra player. I was like sure, And then I get
- 45:30Speaker 2: there and the basketball courts covered in carpet. I was like,
- 45:33Speaker 2: this is these people are weird. I knew things were
- 45:39Speaker 2: odd right then and there, Rebecca. I know you need
- 45:43Speaker 2: to go, but if I remember correctly here speaking of
- 45:49Speaker 2: weird religious stuff, one other notable birthday I forgot to
- 45:53Speaker 2: mention l Ron Hubbard. He would be one hundred and
- 45:56Speaker 2: fifteen today, but he passed away in nineteen eighty six. Sodynetics, scientologist, Yes,
- 46:01Speaker 2: scientology and dionetics can't make you immortal.
- 46:06Speaker 3: No, P. T. Barnum of religion.
- 46:15Speaker 2: I really do sometimes enjoy this show. Stevie Wonder, Robert Pattinson,
- 46:23Speaker 2: l Ron Hubbard and the Mormon religion all wrapped under
- 46:26Speaker 2: one giant circus tint of a treehouse.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I mean, and you know it's bad when the Mormons
- 46:30Speaker 1: look at you and go, you're fucking weird.
- 46:35Speaker 2: That'll do it. We will see you next time right
