- speaker-0: What I care about are the policies. And I'll repeat what I've said many, many times. You know, and you have to back into it and look at it this way. The Federal Reserve stepped in during the war on terror, right after 9-11. They stepped in during the housing bubble of 2008, and then also the pandemic. And we know that we were talking about trillions of dollars. The 21st century has seen probably one of the biggest spending of government money in. Our nation's history. Anyway, the Fed is trying to get back to a neutral posture. Okay. And when you cut to the chase and all the headlines, it's more than about interest rates, folks. The Federal Reserve needs to get back to this neutral stance. So the next time we have a problem, they will be able to step in and help. Their balance sheet right now is $7.5 trillion to the credit of Chairman Powell. It was at $9 trillion. He began to shrink it starting in 2022. So the reason I'm telling you this gobbledygook is for you to understand w th we're not trying to hurt anybody. We're not trying to make the mortgage market higher than it needs to be, but it's trying to get back to what was normal pre-2008 and COVID. And that's what I hope this Fed chairman is going to do.
