Latest / The Hypnotist / Live Hypnosis From Brazil - The City of Frogs for a Powerful Metamorphosis
Transcript
- 0:01Hi it's Adam here and I'm currently.
- 0:04In the North. East of Brazil, around about two
- 0:09hours South of a large city called Hesifi.
- 0:13And it's a very. Tropical part of Brazil.
- 0:17And. One of my many missions in
- 0:21recent times is to take myself out of the studio and into real
- 0:28life. A studio environment is not real
- 0:31life. There is no real people, real
- 0:33situations, real nature. It's great for recording good
- 0:38quality audio, but it is not the right place to kind of connect
- 0:43with inspiration. So here.
- 0:45I am in. Brazil looking for inspiration,
- 0:49and for the last week, it's been.
- 0:51Very, very rainy. No sun at all.
- 0:54That's been very difficult to take electrical equipment
- 0:57outside to record. And this is the first proper
- 1:02sunny day that I've experienced in the seven days that I've been
- 1:05in Brazil so far. And arriving into this city, and
- 1:11I'm calling it the City of Frogs.
- 1:14And the reason why I'm calling it the City of Frogs is because
- 1:18there's been a lot of rain over the last week.
- 1:21And because of this, this small city to the South of Hissifi had
- 1:27lots of huge puddles, lots of ponds created from the
- 1:33rainwater. And last night, there was an
- 1:37orchestra of frogs here in Brazil.
- 1:41They would call them either pedadeckas or sapos, depending
- 1:46on the size. But the sound of like, a million
- 1:50frogs was incredible. I've never seen anything like
- 1:53it. You know, in England, maybe you
- 1:55see, you know, the occasional frog every now and then.
- 1:58But here the streets were literally kind of hopping with
- 2:03with frogs. And because I'm looking for
- 2:05inspiration, I thought that actually frogs.
- 2:08Become a very. Useful metaphor for two
- 2:11different reasons. One, you've got the
- 2:14transformation element. So it's almost become a cliche
- 2:19of the Caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
- 2:23But actually the metamorphosis of a frog, going from frog spawn
- 2:28to a tadpole to a frog in many ways is even more impressive
- 2:34because they become this kind of liquid based creature, just a
- 2:39jellified BLOB into something that is almost like a small
- 2:45fish, but then becomes amphibious, becomes able to kind
- 2:48of live. In an entirely.
- 2:50Different environment to where it came from.
- 2:54And I think that's a powerful metaphor.
- 2:56I also think that, you know, without being disrespectful to
- 3:01this city, and that's the reason why I'm not naming this city.
- 3:04I'm just calling it the city of frogs.
- 3:06Clearly this is a distressed city.
- 3:09There is a lot of abandoned buildings.
- 3:12There is a rundown nature to it. A lot of the roads are in ruins,
- 3:18and part of what I think is an incredible ability of humans is
- 3:25this ability of adaptation that actually we can identify that
- 3:31the circumstances or the environment that we're in is no
- 3:35longer conducive to the life that we want to live.
- 3:39And then? Move somewhere else if we choose
- 3:42to. Now, there's two sides to this
- 3:44coin, because I'm saying this knowing that the city is
- 3:47distressed. There's clearly a lack of
- 3:49employment opportunities there. It's a rundown city and yet I'm
- 3:55sitting and and looking out at a paradise beach, the kind of
- 4:00beach that if this beach existed in England with this kind of
- 4:05climate, it would have the most valuable houses in the UK.
- 4:09Like everyone would want to have a beachfront property, and not
- 4:14everyone can afford a beachfront property in a western country.
- 4:18But actually you could look at it as where you go, where the
- 4:21opportunities are. But equally if you.
- 4:25Have the ability, as I do and many other people like me, to
- 4:29create an income anywhere in the world, then it gives you the
- 4:33ability to experience paradise beaches at a fraction of the
- 4:38cost. And a lot of people have this
- 4:40dream of having a beachfront property in certain parts of the
- 4:44world. That's not only feasible, but
- 4:48immediately doable with the current financial resources that
- 4:51you have. So there's many different
- 4:53thoughts that I'm bringing into this hypnosis session.
- 4:56I haven't scripted it. I don't know exactly how it's
- 4:58going to go, but I think it will use frogs and metamorphosis as a
- 5:05metaphor. I think it's also going to use
- 5:07the ability to kind of seek out valuable opportunities based on
- 5:12your circumstances. And I think that becomes
- 5:15empowering for everyone. Now when I'm in the studio, I
- 5:20always say, you know, find a quiet place and, and, and relax.
- 5:23And I will say that again, but I'm saying that knowing that
- 5:26actually right now while I'm talking, because I'm not.
- 5:29In a studio environment. There is this element.
- 5:32Of. Wind that's going to hit the mic
- 5:35every now and then, even though I've got this foam shield, the
- 5:39the gusts of wind will kind of affect that sometimes.
- 5:42And every now and then you're going to see big waves coming up
- 5:44behind me. And I can certainly hear the
- 5:46waves. You know, as I'm talking now,
- 5:51back when I was working in Harley Street, there would be,
- 5:54you know, screams outside because it was central London.
- 5:57You would hear sirens and those kind of things.
- 5:59So if every now and then there's a big sound, don't be surprised
- 6:02if I actually use a suggestion to manipulate that what could be
- 6:06a distraction and then add it into the very context of the
- 6:11hypnosis session. So the best way to enjoy this,
- 6:14particularly if you're watching this on YouTube or listening on
- 6:18a podcast platform, is to find a quiet, comfortable place where
- 6:22you're not going to be disturbed to relax and enjoy the session.
- 6:34Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in.
- 6:43Resortful. Feeling.
- 6:44Of calm and relaxation, and as you exhale, just allow yourself
- 6:53to feel a wonderful sense of release, as if tension, stress
- 7:02or worries. Are just.
- 7:04Leaving your body in your outward breath.
- 7:10And when you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of
- 7:14calm and relaxation. And as you exhale, feel that
- 7:22wonderful sense of letting go. Because right here, right now.
- 7:29There is nothing. You need to do just be, be with
- 7:36your own space, your own time, and allow my words to take you
- 7:43on an adventure within your imagination.
- 7:52So breathe in resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation
- 7:58and allow your body to let go of any tension, stress and worries,
- 8:05the kinds of things that would normally occupy a part of your
- 8:10mind or your emotions right here, right now.
- 8:15Just allow those feelings to be released, so much so that with
- 8:21each outward breath, feel the breath getting longer and
- 8:26deeper, completely emptying your lungs of any oxygen.
- 8:34So much so that on the next inward breath in, you breathe in
- 8:40even deeper than you did before. Allow touch your breath to be
- 8:49slightly more relaxed, more effortless.
- 8:54And enable. Yourself to go deeper and deeper
- 8:58relaxed. Because the deeper you breathe,
- 9:03the more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 9:09the deeper you breathe. And as your body relaxes, your
- 9:17imagination awakens. And I wonder if you could
- 9:23harness the power of your imagination to imagine you are
- 9:32at the top of a steep staircase and at the bottom of that
- 9:39staircase. Is a corridor.
- 9:42Towards the door and you don't have to worry about what is
- 9:46behind that door right now. All you need to do is understand
- 9:54the design countdown. From 12:50 you will take steps
- 10:00down that steep staircase and each descending number will take
- 10:07you more relaxed and enable you to drift down deep down into
- 10:13your subconscious mind, part of your mind where powerful new
- 10:20ideas are formed, powerful ideas that can ripple through space
- 10:25and time, that can affect your future.
- 10:30So as you breathe in resourceful relaxation 10 take the first
- 10:35step down the staircase. And as you go down the
- 10:40staircase, immediately feel your body relax.
- 10:45Nine, another step down the staircase now feeling more and
- 10:53more relaxed, like you're letting go. 8 Another step down,
- 11:01deeper down, deeper down into your unconscious mind.
- 11:05More and more relaxed now. Seven another step down that
- 11:12staircase, and maybe you're getting closer to the corridor
- 11:17and the door, but you're still on the staircase.
- 11:23And I want you to think that the top of the staircase is your
- 11:26conscious mind and the bottom of the staircase is your deep
- 11:31subconscious mind. And six, another step down the
- 11:36staircase, now feeling more relaxed, feeling more
- 11:40comfortable, feeling more at ease.
- 11:45That's it, More and more comfortable.
- 11:49And five, halfway down the staircase, now feeling more
- 11:53relaxed, letting go, breathing deeper still.
- 11:59And maybe you can notice your eye is heavier.
- 12:03Maybe your imagination becomes more vivid.
- 12:08Maybe your arms and legs feel limp and loose and heavy, or
- 12:12your neck and shoulders seem less tense.
- 12:17And four, deeper relaxed. Now that's it.
- 12:22Drifting deeper down, one step at a time, down that staircase.
- 12:28And then three, even more relaxed, even more comfortable,
- 12:35drifting deeper down. That's it.
- 12:42And I want you to get a sense that your whole body wants to
- 12:46relax, wants to let go, wants to unwind.
- 12:53That's it. More and more comfortable relax
- 12:57as three becomes 2 now towards the bottom of this staircase.
- 13:03And as you drift deeper down, you're just one step now from
- 13:07the final step one. That's it.
- 13:12And just notice how free your body feels breathing in that
- 13:17resourceful relaxation, continuing to exhale any stress,
- 13:23any tension, any worries, That's it.
- 13:26Deeper and deeper, relaxed. And then zero.
- 13:33You are now no longer on the staircase, you are on the
- 13:38corridor. And I want you to see lots of
- 13:42doors on either side of the corridor.
- 13:47Each door represents a thought, a direction your mind could take
- 13:53you in. But I want you to notice that
- 13:56all of these doors are locked and the only open door, it's the
- 14:02single door at the end of the corridor.
- 14:07So walk down the corridor and you can try and open those
- 14:11locked doors, but they are locked.
- 14:14So you continue down the corridor and you approach the
- 14:18door and the door itself takes you to a different part of the
- 14:27world, a small town somewhere on the coast of Brazil, the kind of
- 14:36town that is filled every now and then with frogs.
- 14:45But right now you're in the corridor and I will countdown
- 14:49from 5 to 1. And you will imagine opening the
- 14:54door, walking through the door, and finding yourself in a
- 15:00distressed Old Town just before sunset, starting to count 5
- 15:10putting your hand on the handle, 4 turning the handle, 3 opening
- 15:17the door, 2 walking through the door, and one finding yourself
- 15:28through the door in that old distressed town.
- 15:33And imagine you're walking through a major St. there in
- 15:41this town. And maybe the clues are old
- 15:47buildings where no one lives, roads with holes in big puddles.
- 15:58Or maybe it's just the energy of the town.
- 16:03It feels like. There is a strong community but
- 16:11a lack of opportunity and I want you to get a sense that you are
- 16:19walking down this town. But as the sun sets, you start
- 16:26to notice noises, croaks and rivets and it occurs to you that
- 16:36this town is filled with toads, frogs, lots of amphibious
- 16:45creatures and I want you to get a sense there there is a pond or
- 16:53a puddle filled with these frogs.
- 16:59There was something mesmerizing about these frogs that as you
- 17:04stare into the pool, you can see the journey of that frog.
- 17:14Imagine a flashback of seeing it as a big BLOB of frogs born, a
- 17:23tiny black dot among many black dots in this gelatinous BLOB.
- 17:31They're in water. And then, almost like through
- 17:37time lapse, I want you to see the tiny dots getting bigger,
- 17:45starting to wriggle. Feeding on this gelatinous
- 17:53material around them becomes their fuel, until one day they
- 17:59escape the spawn, the Jelly, and they venture out into the water.
- 18:10And that isn't safe. There are threats and dangers,
- 18:17many other creatures that could eat them.
- 18:21But given that this tadpole turns into a frog, you know, it
- 18:28was one of the lucky ones to see the evolution, the growth of
- 18:33that tadpole forming legs, changing shape until one day it
- 18:41can leave the water and still breathe.
- 18:46And as you look at this journey of the frogs born, turning into
- 18:52the tadpole, turning into the frog, I want you to connect this
- 19:00with a journey that you've been on.
- 19:03You are not your past. You are not the same person you
- 19:09were as a child, as a teenager, as a young adult.
- 19:16You have different skills and abilities, experiences and
- 19:21wisdom, and even your failures and setbacks have made you more
- 19:27resilient and stronger, and I want you to feel that you have
- 19:32gone through a transformation. But what if the beliefs that you
- 19:39held as a tadpole or a frog spawn are no longer useful now
- 19:46that you are a frog? And many people still hold on to
- 19:51childhood beliefs, childhood fears and insecurities.
- 19:57But as you accept that you are not your past and you have
- 20:03transformed, you have gone through this process of
- 20:08metamorphosis, perhaps it's time to let go the frog spawn, Let go
- 20:20of the Jelly when it became a tadpole.
- 20:24And the tadpole let go of the permanent need to be in the pond
- 20:30or the water when it became a frog.
- 20:33And I wonder what would be useful for you to let go of now.
- 20:41And maybe you allow the thought to pop into your head.
- 20:47I don't need this anymore, don't have to be in this place, in
- 20:53this job, in this situation anymore because I am not who I
- 21:00was before. Or maybe you allow your
- 21:07unconscious to go to work to figure out what it is that you
- 21:12can let go of. It doesn't have to occur to you
- 21:17in this moment. Consider a seed being planted
- 21:25deep in your subconscious mind that will reveal through an
- 21:30idea, intuition and even a dream what that thing is that you can
- 21:38let go. Some people believe that
- 21:45whatever you are not changing, you are choosing.
- 21:51So if you are not letting go of something, you are choosing to
- 21:56hold on to it. So maybe think of a problem,
- 22:00addiction, habit or belief. If you had to choose to hold on
- 22:07to that belief, now would you? Maybe there's anger, resentment
- 22:15or frustration, but if you didn't have that thing, would
- 22:20you choose to hold on to that thing now?
- 22:25And if you wouldn't choose it, then the absence.
- 22:28Of choosing it. Is allowing it to be released.
- 22:34But knowing what you now know, if you would not do that thing
- 22:38or believe that thing, then why not let go of that thing and
- 22:49stare at that frog, That frog near the water?
- 22:55Maybe it's making loud croaking sounds.
- 22:59I want you to get a sense that the nature of frogs is that some
- 23:06water supplies are permanent, like a lake or a pond, and
- 23:11others are temporary, like a puddle or a stream that
- 23:17occasionally dries up. But the nature of a frog is that
- 23:24when the water supply starts to diminish, they move to a more
- 23:32abundant, opportunistic place. I want you to get a sense that
- 23:39the frogs that don't move, dehydrate or run out of food,
- 23:46they could wither and die. But the ambitious frogs
- 23:52intuitively know that when the environment no longer serves
- 23:57them, they have the ability to move to a different environment.
- 24:07And I wonder what environments you are choosing to stay in even
- 24:15though they are no longer the environments they once were.
- 24:22Environments could be a friendship group, A city where
- 24:27you live, regular hobbies, or things that you do.
- 24:33But what if things have changed since you started that thing?
- 24:41What if the pond has shrunk, but if the opportunities that once
- 24:46were there are no longer there? I want you to feel a sense of
- 24:55strong intuition that you have the ability to hop to a new
- 25:01environment, an environment that might be more conducive to the
- 25:07kind of environment that would meet your values, your needs,
- 25:13what makes you feel good and happy and energized.
- 25:17And maybe a thought pops into your mind as to where you could
- 25:22hop from to what place or environment or person you could
- 25:29move from and towards a different direction.
- 25:35It is human nature to change. It is human nature to move from
- 25:45scarce environments to more abundant environments.
- 25:49It is human nature to move from toxic environments to healthy
- 25:54environments. It is human nature to move from
- 26:01less opportunity to more opportunity.
- 26:07And I wonder what kind of ideas pop into your mind as to what
- 26:12these places environmental situations could be.
- 26:20Because if you are not moving from a place that no longer
- 26:23meets your needs, that would be like a flower being in a garden
- 26:31with regular sunshine and rainwater.
- 26:38But what if something changes? New building is made to the
- 26:42garden, is always in the shade. The difference between you and a
- 26:48flower is that a flower can't move, not on its own, but you
- 26:55can. And what would be the
- 26:58environment that would be the equivalent of more sunshine and
- 27:02rain water for you? What would be the environment to
- 27:07help you flourish? So think of that place, and then
- 27:14imagine walking down that street in that Old Town and discovering
- 27:21A picturesque beach, mile upon mile of soft golden sands.
- 27:33But also imagine seeing rock pools, a big Ridge of rock
- 27:39spreading out for miles. Protecting.
- 27:42The beach ensuring peaceful calm beach because the rocks protect
- 27:52from the harsh waves. And I want you to imagine this
- 27:59fortress made of rock appearing in your life.
- 28:04What boundaries do you need in order you to live the life that
- 28:11you desire? What rules boundaries?
- 28:20What walls are essential to keep you physically and emotionally
- 28:28safe? And I want you to picture this
- 28:34long brick stone boundary, almost like a fortress wall,
- 28:44protecting you from the things that bring you down.
- 28:48And maybe it's harsh words. Maybe it's the disapproval of
- 28:53other people. Maybe it's other people taking
- 28:59more than they give, extracting value from you rather than
- 29:05giving you value. I want you to get a sense.
- 29:10Then a strong boundary can actually be liberating.
- 29:20It's not a wall. To keep you.
- 29:22Trapped. It is a wall to keep you
- 29:25protected, to be true to your values, to live your life in
- 29:31your way. So just imagine that big rocky
- 29:37fortress wall. Allow the waves to be anything
- 29:43you don't want, and allow the beach to be anything that you
- 29:49do. And you don't have to make a
- 29:53decision right now, but maybe give a suggestion to your
- 29:58unconscious mind to strengthen whatever boundaries are needed
- 30:07to make your beach a paradise. Beach as you are reminded that
- 30:14the world is a big place full of opportunities and one person's
- 30:24paradise is another person's mundane and one person's
- 30:32distressed town as another person's heart of a strong,
- 30:39powerful community. I want you to get a sense that
- 30:45this is your life, that you can live in accordance with your
- 30:50values, whatever you like, keep and those things that no longer
- 30:57serve you. Give yourself permission to let
- 31:01go, and as you let go, notice that your life improves, giving
- 31:09you more of what you want and less of what you don't.
- 31:17And there is a story that if you put a frog in a pan of cold
- 31:26water and slowly start to increase the temperature,
- 31:35because the changes take place so subtly, unnoticeably, the
- 31:41frog ends up boiling to death. And I wonder in your life what
- 31:50things have slowly changed to become worse and worse and
- 31:54worse, and you've only accepted them because they've happened
- 32:00slowly, that if you were to jump into that hot pan, you would
- 32:06jump out immediately. And I want you to consider that
- 32:11there may be an area of your life that you are boiling to
- 32:17death in without realizing, and allow this time in your deep
- 32:24subconscious mind to awaken insight, perspective,
- 32:30facilitating powerful new changes that you can take your
- 32:36life in the direction that you desire.
- 32:40But it's time to leave this paradise beach protected by the
- 32:46strong Stonewall from the waves. Imagine waking your way all the
- 32:54way back into the town of Frogs and randomly seeing a door not
- 33:00connected to a building. But imagine opening the door and
- 33:04seeing the corridor and seeing that corridor lead to a
- 33:09staircase. And I want you to imagine
- 33:12climbing up the staircase and seeing yourself in your own
- 33:18environment, wherever you are right now at the top of that
- 33:23staircase. Imagine.
- 33:25Stepping into that. Version of you.
- 33:29So your unconscious and conscious become connected once
- 33:33more. And very soon I will count from
- 33:381:00 to 10:00 to awaken you. And while I'm counting from 1:00
- 33:44to 10:00, you will realize that this has all been an adventure
- 33:49within your imagination. Ideas within ideas, thoughts
- 33:54within thoughts, dreams within dreams.
- 34:00But now it's time to leave this adventure in your imagination
- 34:04and return back to reality. So take a deep breath in through
- 34:10your nose and out through your nose.
- 34:14Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 34:16That's it. Connect and calibrate into the
- 34:18here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 34:24you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 34:30456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 34:34Open your eyes 910. Wide awake.
- 34:39Wide awake. Wide awake.
- 34:50Thanks for listening to this hypnosis session that was all

- 35:02Obviously the city I'm. Seeing in front of me which?
- 35:06Last night was filled with with frogs.
