- 0:09with Congress. Question we mentioned mister Tartaglioni. Who did you
- 0:16understand him to be at the time? Answer Tartaglioni was
- 0:19mister Epstein's prior cellmate. Question. When you say prior, what
- 0:23timeframe are you referring to answer? Because after the incident
- 0:28when mister Epstein got a different cellmate question in the
- 0:31shoe correct answer correct, Miss Fayerbent, I'd like to enter
- 0:36a majority. Exhibit one. This is a New York Times
- 0:39article titled quote purported suicide note is released end quote.
- 0:44The New York Times recently reported that a federal judge
- 0:46in White Plains, New York recently released Jeffrey Epstein's purported
- 0:51suicide note. We'll pass that out and have you take
- 0:53a look at it just for a minute. So on
- 0:56the front you'll see the New York Times article that
- 0:59was published on A twenty six, and then the photo
- 1:02of the purported suicide note. I can read how the
- 1:05New York Times article quoted it question. The note reads
- 1:10quote they investigated me for months, found nothing two exclamation marks,
- 1:15so sixteen year old charges resulted. Is it a treat
- 1:20to be able to choose one's time to say goodbye?
- 1:22What you want me to do? Bust out, crying no fun,
- 1:25not worth it? End quote? Have you ever seen this
- 1:28suicide note before? How is that a suicide note? He says,
- 1:32what do you want me to do? Bust out, crying
- 1:34no fun, not worth it. I think that could be
- 1:37taken several different ways. Answer no, never. Question do you
- 1:43know whether this suicide note belongs to Jeffrey Epstein? Answer?
- 1:46I don't know. Question. The New York Times article says
- 1:49that mister Tartaglioni said he discovered the suicide note in
- 1:53July of twenty nineteen, after mister Epstein's first suicide attempt.
- 1:57Did mister Tartaglioni ever speak to you or any other
- 2:01correctional officer about the note? Answer speak to me about
- 2:04the note, No to anyone else. I'm not aware. Question
- 2:08were you ever made aware at the time that a
- 2:10suicide note was discovered? Answer no, this is my first
- 2:14time seeing it. Question Okay, did you ever witness or
- 2:18hear anything from other correctional officers about Jeffrey Epstein writing
- 2:22a suicide note. Answer no question. Are you aware that
- 2:26when officers responded to mister Epstein at one twenty seven
- 2:29am on July twenty third, twenty nineteen, he was found
- 2:34to be unresponsive on the floor and with an orange
- 2:37fabric noose around his neck. Answer in July, I was
- 2:40not working. No question, okay. Are you aware that mister
- 2:44Epstein had told officers he thought he had been attacked
- 2:47by a cell mate, mister Tartaglioni in his cell Answer
- 2:50I learned that after question how soon? After answer when
- 2:54it came out in the paper? Question okay, mister Tartaglioni,
- 2:59he denies the action zations and claims that he was
- 3:02the one who called for help. Were you aware of that?
- 3:05Answer only in the paper I saw? After question okay?
- 3:09Do you have any reason to believe that mister Epstein
- 3:11did not attempt suicide on July twenty third, twenty nineteen? Answer?
- 3:16I don't know. Question do you have any further details
- 3:19of what transpired in the early morning hours of July
- 3:22twenty third, twenty nineteen in mister Epstein and mister Tartaglioni
- 3:27cell answer no, I was not working. Question okay, thank you. Answer,
- 3:31you're welcome. Question were you ever paid not to check
- 3:35on mister Epstein cell the night before his death? Answer? Never?
- 3:39Question did anyone ever force you not to check mister
- 3:42Epstein cell? Answer never? Question did anyone ever threaten you
- 3:47not to check mister Epstein's cell? Answer never? Question did
- 3:52anyone ever ask you not to check mister Epstein cell?
- 3:55Answer never? Question do you know whether mister Thomas was
- 3:59paid not to check mister Epstein cell? Answer? I don't know.
- 4:04Question do you know whether mister Thomas was forced not
- 4:07to check mister Epstein cell? Answer? I don't know. Question
- 4:11do you know whether mister Thomas was threatened to not
- 4:14check mister Epstein cell? Answer? I don't know. Question did
- 4:18anyone ever ask mister Thomas to not check mister Epstein cell? Answer?
- 4:23I don't know. Mister Emmert, thank you. We're coming to
- 4:27the end of the majority's first hour. We're going to
- 4:29discuss this more specifically during the upcoming hours. But there's
- 4:33been payments that have been identified or reported on that
- 4:36have been suspicious. Specifically, there was a cash deposit of
- 4:40five thousand dollars from an unknown center on July thirtieth,
- 4:43twenty nineteen, just ten days before Jeffrey Epstein's death. What
- 4:48was that payment for, Miss Noel, So you said unknown sender, like,
- 4:53I deposited my money into my bank account and that's
- 4:56from my personal savings plan. And no one has ever
- 4:59approached me or giving me money in reference to mister
- 5:02Epstein at all. Mister Emmer, for the record, you never
- 5:06is it your testimony that you never received money from
- 5:09Jeffrey Epstein or anyone affiliated with Jeffrey Epstein as it
- 5:13relates to his incarceration at MCC. Miss Noel, correct question.
- 5:18I think that'll be the end of our first hour.
- 5:20We can go off the record now they're back on question.
- 5:23Good morning, Miss Noel. Answer, good morning question. My name
- 5:28is Giancarlo Pellegrini, a nice Irish name. Huh. I'll be
- 5:33doing most of the questioning for the minority today. First,
- 5:36thank you for your time and thank you for your
- 5:38service to our country. We really appreciate it. Answer, You're welcome. Question.
- 5:43As you know, today's conversation will focus on your work
- 5:46at the MCC and circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's death. I
- 5:50wanted to start for a moment with a topic that
- 5:52just came up at the end of the previous hour,
- 5:55those cash payments. One of the documents that was released
- 5:58in the DOJ files says that in November of twenty nineteen,
- 6:03JP Morgan Chase provided a suspicious activity report to the
- 6:07FBI regarding twelve cash deposits that you made between April
- 6:11twenty eighteen and July twenty nineteen. I know you were
- 6:16just asked a moment ago, was there any connection between
- 6:18those deposits and your official duties at MCC? Answer no question.
- 6:24Was there any connection direct or indirect between those deposits
- 6:27and Jeffrey Epstein or Glenn Maxwell in any way? Answer
- 6:31no question. There was a deposit specifically of five thousand
- 6:36dollars on July thirtieth, twenty nineteen, so that's about eleven
- 6:40days before mister Epstein died. I know that's included in
- 6:43what I just asked. But was there any connection of
- 6:46any kind specifically between the deposit and your official duties
- 6:50at MCC. Answer no question. Was there any connection of
- 6:54any kind between that deposit and the death of Jeffrey Epstein.
- 6:58Answer no question and any connection director and direct between
- 7:04that deposit and Jeffrey Epstein or Glenn Maxwell in any way.
- 7:08Answer no question. Okay, thank you. Answer, you're welcome. Question.
- 7:13We're going to ask some questions. Some of them are
- 7:15similar to what you were already asked. We have to
- 7:18try to cross those out so you don't have to
- 7:20get asked the same thing twice. Answer okay. Question. We
- 7:24might not always be successful, but we'll do our best.
- 7:27Answer okay. Question. Couple of questions going to the layout
- 7:32in the shoe you described, there are I think six
- 7:35different tiers. Is that right? Answer? Correct question? And how
- 7:39many cells in each tier? Answer that I don't remember? Question?
- 7:44Is there a locked door for each tier? You talked
- 7:46about the grill? Answer the grill question? What's the grill? Answer?
- 7:52It's the sew. It's because it's a grill, because it's
- 7:55not an actual door, and that's what allows you to
- 7:58answer the tier. And that's locked question. So there's a
- 8:01physical key to get into that answer yes, question okay,
- 8:05So to get into any of the tiers, one of
- 8:07this hee ode needs a key. Answer key correct question okay.
- 8:11We do have an additional member who has since joined us,
- 8:15if that member could just identify himself Rocana from California, seventeen.
- 8:22Question how many in the shoe? Specifically, how many inmates
- 8:25would there typically be in each cell? Answer? It could
- 8:29be one or two. Question is there any rhyme or
- 8:32reason as to whether it's one or two? Answer so
- 8:36the shoe doesn't have to be full. If it's full,
- 8:39then it will be two because the maximum it can
- 8:41hold in one cell is too But it could be
- 8:44just one. Question as far as you can recall, would
- 8:47it be one in every cell? And then once that's
- 8:50done you start adding cellmates? Answer no, So like for example,
- 8:55let's say if on El Tier there is like everybody
- 8:58paired up and somebody got in trouble a different unit
- 9:01and they're coming and they're single, they have to place
- 9:03them in a cell, so they may be alone until
- 9:06somebody else comes in that has to go to the shoe,
- 9:09or if somebody else got in trouble, then they could
- 9:11pair them with them, or if for whatever reason that inmate,
- 9:15for whatever their stipulation is, needs to be with someone,
- 9:18they can move someone from someplace else and put them
- 9:21with them, So it can be single or double, depending
- 9:24on what specific inmate is going on? Question? Thank you,
- 9:28that's helpful. The shoe, I think we read had two
- 9:32different entrances, a primary entrance and a secondary entrance. Is
- 9:36that right? Answer? Correct? Question. What was the difference between
- 9:40those entrances in terms of who would use them? Answer?
- 9:43So for the outer door, that has to be properly
- 9:46by control. The inner door, someone on the inside has
- 9:49to let you in question got it? But is it
- 9:53right that there were so I understand that the way
- 9:56to get into the shoe where you have to go
- 9:58through two different doors? Answer correct. Question. Was there a
- 10:02totally different second way to get into the shoe, a
- 10:05different entrance of any kind? Was it just the one
- 10:08you're describing? Answer the one I'm describing. That's the only
- 10:12one that I know the double doors question? Okay, can
- 10:15you describe your recollection of how a typical cell on
- 10:18the shoe would be laid out? Answer? It's a bunk
- 10:21bed and the bathroom area, if you want to call it,
- 10:23that's pretty much it a bunk bed, and I think
- 10:26like a sink, a toilet, and a little mirror. I guess. Question,
- 10:30and you talked about this a little bit. Where did
- 10:32the CEO, sit that were on duty in the shoe.
- 10:35Answer when you come into the shoe in the common
- 10:38area right in the middle. Question is there like a
- 10:41table and chairs kind of thing? Answer, it's a desk
- 10:45like an L. Question from that desk, were you able
- 10:48to see all cell doors? Any cell doors? What could
- 10:51you see in terms of the cells from the desk?
- 10:54Answer from the desk if you're sitting, because the desk
- 10:57is an L, so if you're on this side. No,
- 10:59if you're on the front on side, then you can
- 11:01see just the beginning of the yel tier on the
- 11:03right side, so you can see the door. Question and
- 11:07from that point at the desk, would you if you remember,
- 11:09would you have been able to see mister Epstein cell door?
- 11:12Answer from the front of the desk yes. Question would
- 11:16you have been able to see into a cell? Answer no? Question.
- 11:20Would you have been able to see from I guess
- 11:22that spot on the desk anybody entering or exiting the shoe?
- 11:26Answered definitely. Question And there was a separate unit that
- 11:30got mentioned called ten South. Correct question what is ten South? Answer?
- 11:36So on the last tire you can go up the
- 11:38stairs and go to ten South. That's a more secure area,
- 11:42and it's like a wing up there, but it's laid
- 11:43out differently. It's supposed to be more secure than the shoe,
- 11:47and shoe is secure. Question what's the typical difference or
- 11:52was the typical difference between inmates and ten South versus
- 11:55in the shoe? How do you land in ten South? Answer?
- 11:59How do you land in ten South? I don't know,
- 12:01but I do know that in ten South you're not
- 12:03coming out. Whereas they get an hour and show to
- 12:05come out, you're not coming out. You can't even go
- 12:08to your attorney. The attorney goes up to ten South
- 12:11to you. So it's very secure. But as far as
- 12:14I know how you get to ten South, I'm not aware.
- 12:18Question is it correct that the only way to get
- 12:20into ten South is to go through the shoe? Answer?
- 12:24Shoe correct. All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up right here,
- 12:28and in the next episode dealing with the topic, we're
- 12:30gonna pick up where we left off. All the information
- 12:33that goes with this episode can be found in the
- 12:35description box.
