- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 0:03Speaker 1: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding a professionals
- 0:10Speaker 1: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 0:14Speaker 1: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It might seem boring to save, plan and make calculated
- 0:21Speaker 1: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is
- 0:24Speaker 1: what helps you live or more happily fulfilled life. P
- 0:27Speaker 1: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly
- 0:32Speaker 1: Boring since eighteen sixty five is a service mark of
- 0:35Speaker 1: the PNC Financial Service Group, Inc. P and C Bank
- 0:39Speaker 1: National Association Member FDIC.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Let's talk about Elon Musk. He would asked recently, you know,
- 0:49Speaker 2: like with stocks he's into and he was like, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 2: he doesn't really invest in stocks too much. I mean,
- 0:55Speaker 2: it would make sense. I love the richest person in
- 0:58Speaker 2: the world. He was like, you know, he's just focused.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I'm building his companies. Then when his companies become public,
- 1:03Speaker 2: then he owns a lot of stocks in that company,
- 1:06Speaker 2: which is Tesla, which will soon be SpaceX, which will
- 1:09Speaker 2: soon be you know, a variety of different companies that
- 1:12Speaker 2: he has involvement with, but he said if he did,
- 1:15Speaker 2: if he did, you know, if he were looking at
- 1:18Speaker 2: the landscape and he were to pick two stocks, he
- 1:21Speaker 2: said it would be Google. He said, Google's done a
- 1:24Speaker 2: tremendous job as far as where they're going to be
- 1:26Speaker 2: in the in the AI race, and then he said,
- 1:29Speaker 2: in videos is inevitable, Like you can't get around in video.
- 1:33Speaker 3: That's just like a no brainer. Yep.
- 1:35Speaker 2: So he spoke about Google, and he spoke about in
- 1:37Speaker 2: video as far as like if he was to actually
- 1:40Speaker 2: be in the in the stock world, those would be
- 1:43Speaker 2: the two companies that he would he would have confidence
- 1:45Speaker 2: in investing in. What are your thoughts on that.
- 1:50Speaker 4: It's the other side of wealth building that people don't
- 1:53Speaker 4: talk about publicly. But I love that we have the
- 1:55Speaker 4: show so we can. If you can build something that
- 1:58Speaker 4: goes up one hundred and fifty thousand percent of return
- 2:02Speaker 4: or seven hundred thousand percent, it's better to put all
- 2:05Speaker 4: of your tangible time into build an asset. There are
- 2:09Speaker 4: certain people who are asset drivers and GDP drivers, regardless
- 2:15Speaker 4: of political dispersion. He is one of them. So if
- 2:20Speaker 4: I can build a SpaceX. Starlink I think is the
- 2:23Speaker 4: darling of the portfolio, probably best company there Teslo. We
- 2:27Speaker 4: already know story tradition at PayPal Mafia. If I can
- 2:31Speaker 4: build things that go up fifteen thousand x, it's much
- 2:37Speaker 4: better to build a thing and then get the value.
- 2:40Speaker 4: If you can't do that, then you have to invest
- 2:43Speaker 4: in Because I always say, if you're entrepreneur, are you
- 2:46Speaker 4: better than Tim Cook?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Elon Musk?
- 2:50Speaker 4: Now we gotta throw Sam Altman, even though he's having
- 2:52Speaker 4: some issues, right, are you better than the top ten CEOs?
- 2:55Speaker 3: He's better than a lot of the top ten.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Therefore he should focus on wealth building by building a company.
- 3:02Speaker 4: And even if you're not, you have to build a
- 3:04Speaker 4: business in combination. I've been telling this the podcasters. Fred
- 3:07Speaker 4: We're talking about a Wednesday. A lot of streamers and
- 3:10Speaker 4: podcasters are going.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Out of business. A lot of rappers too.
- 3:13Speaker 4: They wouldn't have though. I've told two hundred people the
- 3:16Speaker 4: strategy for executed. You have to invest in the media
- 3:21Speaker 4: companies that you're uploading and using your services through.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Most don't do it.
- 3:27Speaker 4: And as a tell of two media broadcasters, one that
- 3:30Speaker 4: does and one that doesn't, there's not as much there's
- 3:34Speaker 4: too much saturation in some of these markets, so people
- 3:36Speaker 4: are going out of business. But you have to build
- 3:38Speaker 4: a business and then invest. It's the only blueprint. It's
- 3:41Speaker 4: the only blueprint. And I love the honesty of the answer,
- 3:44Speaker 4: because one of the things that most wealth builders don't tell.
- 3:46Speaker 3: You is how they build that rocket ship.
- 3:49Speaker 4: No pun intended to generate wealth for themselves regardless of
- 3:52Speaker 4: what the market is doing.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I always tell people, listen, you gotta study the movements,
- 4:00Speaker 1: all the money, even movements fill the money. Last week
- 4:03Speaker 1: when I talked about Jensen and him sitting down and
- 4:07Speaker 1: having this conversation.
- 4:08Speaker 3: To its right was Elon Musk.
- 4:11Speaker 1: No surprise when Elon asked, you ask him what two
- 4:13Speaker 1: companies are going to be prominent, It's going to be
- 4:15Speaker 1: those two. We obviously know what nvideo is going to
- 4:18Speaker 1: mean to the economy. Well, we already know what it means.
- 4:20Speaker 1: We can see where it's headed. We can see that
- 4:23Speaker 1: Google has made an imprint here. But when you listen
- 4:26Speaker 1: to Sundar Speed, the CEO of Google said something very
- 4:31Speaker 1: interesting last week, and he was talking about power right
- 4:35Speaker 1: XAI uses what uses the GPUs they're thinking about maybe
- 4:39Speaker 1: their partner to u TPUs from Google. But that wasn't
- 4:42Speaker 1: the thing that really caught my attention. It was they
- 4:45Speaker 1: weren't talking about data centers here on Earth. They're talking
- 4:50Speaker 1: about putting data centers in space or sundar. So now,
- 4:57Speaker 1: when I'm listening to Google and I'm thinking to myself,
- 4:59Speaker 1: they're putting they're going to do data centers in space
- 5:01Speaker 1: because they can use the solar power, I'm like, oh man,
- 5:03Speaker 1: this is different. When I'm thinking like, well, how would
- 5:05Speaker 1: they get space exploration? That's not really a division that
- 5:08Speaker 1: they've really focusing on. And then I'm starting to hear partnership. Right,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you start putting these te leaves together, right, who has
- 5:15Speaker 1: master space exploration? Who has that division? Who has a company? Well,
- 5:21Speaker 1: isn't that what space is doing? When we talk about
- 5:23Speaker 1: the satellites that are already orbiting the Earth, we covered
- 5:26Speaker 1: that in very greatest stent, and I'm like, oh, this
- 5:29Speaker 1: is this is where they're going.
- 5:31Speaker 3: So start watching those tea leaves start.
- 5:33Speaker 1: When these CEOs start talking about each other and they're
- 5:36Speaker 1: starting to praise each other, it's for a great reason.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Partnerships are happening, whether we know about them or not.
- 5:41Speaker 1: They're already looking toward the future. When I'm looking at
- 5:44Speaker 1: we're just trying to figure outw they're going to power
- 5:45Speaker 1: the data sets here on Earth. Right, Like we've talked
- 5:49Speaker 1: about Meta in Louisiana, We've talked about all these these
- 5:53Speaker 1: data centers in the Midwest. We've talked about the fabs
- 5:56Speaker 1: that TSM is put in Arizona now and like, hey,
- 6:00Speaker 1: we we we got this covered. Where's the next space
- 6:03Speaker 1: and that's going to be that's going to be orbiting
- 6:05Speaker 1: the planet. So interesting that he says those two companies.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And then somebody said, well, which because Ian said what
- 6:11Speaker 2: content created? To invest in the companies that they upload
- 6:14Speaker 2: content to? And then somebody in chat said which, which
- 6:16Speaker 2: would be a question mark? So Google, Google, because Google
- 6:21Speaker 2: owns YouTube, Meta because Meta owns Instagram and Facebook.
- 6:30Speaker 4: And Apple created the iPod. It literally created podcasting from
- 6:34Speaker 4: the term iPod. Yeah, sometimes it's just hidden plain sight.
- 6:41Speaker 4: The investing those three, I mean, it's solid mm hmm.
- 6:46Speaker 1: This this has been always been the Google case is
- 6:48Speaker 1: like we have to have Google in the portfolio since
- 6:52Speaker 1: it was we have I remember we had these comments
- 6:54Speaker 1: sticks these in depth conversations, and the money have got
- 6:56Speaker 1: to be you got YouTube. Yes, it leads it, but
- 6:59Speaker 1: you know they still have the cloud business and now
- 7:01Speaker 1: you can see what they've done it with inside the
- 7:03Speaker 1: AI bit and they're not done.
- 7:05Speaker 3: They're not done, They're just getting started.
- 7:06Speaker 1: There are the partnerships are going to start increase, which
- 7:10Speaker 1: is why we said, like, hey, TPU Gpu I, it
- 7:14Speaker 1: don't matter.
- 7:15Speaker 3: They're going to Google five, Google A five, I.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Owe you, it don't matter, It don't matter. Right, it's
- 7:23Speaker 1: going to need power and the other thing that is
- 7:25Speaker 1: going to need the storage. So that's why we always
- 7:26Speaker 1: talk about memory memory, memory, because it still needs to
- 7:29Speaker 1: bring to the operations which is going to store all
- 7:31Speaker 1: that data.
- 7:31Speaker 2: And it also speaks to the importance of investing in ets.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So I mean Google has an individual stock, but invest
- 7:41Speaker 2: with Investo QQQ.
- 7:42Speaker 3: We talked about that.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Put a tweet out last week where it's ten thousand
- 7:46Speaker 2: dollars in the video. If you would to invested ten
- 7:48Speaker 2: thousand dollars in video ten years ago right now, will
- 7:51Speaker 2: be worth ten million dollars ten point three million dollars.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So the first thing that people will say was like, well,
- 7:56Speaker 2: who knew in video ten years ago was going to
- 7:59Speaker 2: be what it is now? But Okay, what that is.
- 8:01Speaker 2: With that said, if you would have put ten thousand
- 8:03Speaker 2: dollars in QQQ ten years ago, be forty three thousand.
- 8:06Speaker 3: That's a good.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Now, if you put ten thousand dollars in xl Y
- 8:10Speaker 2: ten years ago, be thirty one thousand. If you put
- 8:13Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars in SBY, it'll be twenty eight thousand.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So even with quote unquote safe investments over the last
- 8:20Speaker 2: ten years, you would have quadruple tripled or at the
- 8:23Speaker 2: very least doubled your money by investing in So yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 2: I mean the individual. But if you don't think that
- 8:29Speaker 2: technology is going to continue to move the economy forward,
- 8:32Speaker 2: you out of your mind.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Economy forward, dude, where have you been?
- 8:38Speaker 4: And ninety four percent of those are flat or slightly
- 8:42Speaker 4: underwater if you look at inflation. Another thing you have
- 8:45Speaker 4: to look at is net margin. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Matter
- 8:49Speaker 4: all have amazing margins. So and I saw the comment
- 8:53Speaker 4: earlier with a brother said you have to be a
- 8:55Speaker 4: nerd to want to tune in. No, they trick us
- 8:58Speaker 4: to thinking that you need to be a nerd to know.
- 9:00Speaker 3: How money moves. When we move the market for a
- 9:03Speaker 3: bunch of companies, you.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Don't have to be a nerd just you just have
- 9:06Speaker 2: to want to hit elevated conversations quarter zips.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Match, Well, weren't you. I too used to.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Debate rap for endless hours on it.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It doesn't matter.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But at some point in time I realized that I
- 9:19Speaker 2: needed to make money to support myself and my family because.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Kai's are all in putting their money right, even the
- 9:25Speaker 4: music conversations, all those benefits Spotify, Apple and the social
- 9:32Speaker 4: media platforms matter. Those are tech businesses, but they're not
- 9:37Speaker 4: valuated like tech businesses, so they can rob the artists
- 9:40Speaker 4: and inflate the value of the tech companies.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But I feel like they are though, I mean there are,
- 9:46Speaker 1: they're just that valua as such, right right, because all
- 9:49Speaker 1: of them have the tech component, which is when we
- 9:51Speaker 1: talk about valuation. And we got this conversation in private,
- 9:55Speaker 1: but like that valuate, I'm like, well, what are the ingredients?
- 9:58Speaker 3: Like, what are the things get the highest multiple?
- 10:01Speaker 1: And everybody that we talked is like, you, what's the
- 10:03Speaker 1: tech component that you have in the business, right, do
- 10:05Speaker 1: you have an app? Do you have what's the user base?
- 10:07Speaker 1: What's the retention? Like all those numbers coming to that
- 10:09Speaker 1: or so much, And we don't think. We just think like, hey,
- 10:12Speaker 1: we're gonna use the app, We're gonna listen to music. Now,
- 10:15Speaker 1: watch time.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Do you think Future doesn't have a longer watch time
- 10:19Speaker 4: than a fifteenth best AI company? I'll debate that, but
- 10:25Speaker 4: they value it as a certain thing. Same thing with
- 10:28Speaker 4: the classifistication of stocks. Everyone doesn't get tech classification. Some
- 10:32Speaker 4: going to communications, some going consumer discretionary because it lowers
- 10:36Speaker 4: what the evaluation could be.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what you said.
- 10:40Speaker 1: When we think Google, we're thinking, oh, that's a tech stop, right,
- 10:43Speaker 1: But if you look at Spider's Fun, it's not inside
- 10:45Speaker 1: of XLK.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yep, Amazon's not inside of XLK. It's crazy, earners, what's up?
- 10:51Speaker 1: You ever walk into a small business and everything just works,
