- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to We Talk Back Podcast, the production of iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and the Black Effect Network.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Talk Talk To We're just two unapologetically black women with
- 0:11Speaker 2: an opinion who talks back.
- 0:16Speaker 1: What's up, y'all? It's your girl? A j Holiday and
- 0:20Speaker 1: what's up Tampam? Hey, y'all.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I love y'all so much. We made in twenty twenty six.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm so happy I missed y'all. I feel like I
- 0:29Speaker 2: haven't talked to y'all in a while. All Right, Happy
- 0:33Speaker 2: New Year, Happy New Years lady, Happy y'all.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Do you feel renewed?
- 0:39Speaker 2: I do. I'm starting a new year with some good energy.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I cannot lie. I really feel good about the possibilities
- 0:48Speaker 2: of twenty twenty six. I'm talking about on New Year's Well,
- 0:52Speaker 2: we're gonna get into that. We're gonna get into that.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But how is your weekend? Let's start there like we
- 0:57Speaker 2: always do, y'all.
- 0:59Speaker 1: My weekend when it's full of just catching up on life,
- 1:01Speaker 1: because like I said, I was on vacation for a week,
- 1:04Speaker 1: so just catching up on all the shit, cleaning my
- 1:07Speaker 1: house up, which I did clean if I left. But
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't know if some trolls or theories was in
- 1:13Speaker 1: here when I was going. But I feel like my
- 1:14Speaker 1: shit got re dirty. I don't know, re dirty is crazy.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Said to reclean.
- 1:21Speaker 1: So just cleaning up and visiting my family. My daddy's
- 1:25Speaker 1: still in the damn hospital. He's getting better.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Though, Okay, that's good. That's good.
- 1:30Speaker 1: He should be able to rehab this week. So I
- 1:33Speaker 1: made a bread pudding this weekend because then Barbados bread
- 1:37Speaker 1: pudding is a big thing. So I had like four
- 1:39Speaker 1: different bread puddings over there. So when I got home,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm like, I've got some old ass bread. Let me
- 1:43Speaker 1: make some bread pudding.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Oh what you put in a bread pudding? Because I
- 1:47Speaker 2: don't even know what goes into that.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I make it basically essentially how I make my French toast.
- 1:52Speaker 1: It's just like low. I don't use a whole lot
- 1:54Speaker 1: out heavy whipping cream, though a little bit of heavy
- 1:55Speaker 1: whipping mostly con dense milk. Oh, you can use regular milk, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon,
- 2:03Speaker 1: like four eggs, depending on how much bread are you doing.
- 2:06Speaker 1: And you just break your bread up. So if you
- 2:07Speaker 1: got some old hamburger buns or some shit you just
- 2:10Speaker 1: don't want to throw away, make a bread pudding right quick,
- 2:12Speaker 1: break it up in the bowl. Make you a little
- 2:14Speaker 1: custard in the side with your milks, your your eggs,
- 2:18Speaker 1: your butter. Also, I think I left that out sugar, nutmeg,
- 2:22Speaker 1: and pour that shit on top and beacon in the
- 2:23Speaker 1: oven for like forty five minutes. You got a whole
- 2:25Speaker 1: dessert from some old ass bread. Not moldy bread now, but.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Right, but just bread that's just about to go bad.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah, bread pudding. I love bread pudding.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I've never done that. I probably still won't, but if
- 2:39Speaker 2: you make some lidy eet it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That was my weekend, child, How is yours?
- 2:44Speaker 2: This weekend? I just recuperated same. It was quiet, you know.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I just feel like the beginning of the year, especially
- 2:52Speaker 2: with hair, there's nobody coming to get their hair done.
- 2:54Speaker 2: After before the new year is crazy. Right after it's
- 2:58Speaker 2: a ghost town. Everybody it's like it's very quiet. So
- 3:02Speaker 2: I didn't have very I probably had like two hair
- 3:05Speaker 2: appointments over the weekend and then I just came back
- 3:09Speaker 2: and chilled. Oh no, Saturday, I did start exercising again.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I haven't been back to the gym yet though, I've
- 3:15Speaker 2: been doing outside outdoor shit because everybody's sick. So I
- 3:21Speaker 2: just know that gym is a cess pool right now.
- 3:24Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna give it like till the fourteenth
- 3:26Speaker 2: or fifteenth that's when people start giving up, and then
- 3:32Speaker 2: I'll go in there and you know, come back to
- 3:34Speaker 2: the gym. But yeah, So I just started working back
- 3:37Speaker 2: out and I started the carnivore diet with my friend
- 3:42Speaker 2: is all I meet.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Giry, your farnt gonna be so stink Okay.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I love me though. So oh that sound like I'm
- 3:51Speaker 2: a whole, ain't it. I'm talking about food.
- 3:56Speaker 1: A hole for the food exact thing.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So but I mean, really, it's it's just keto, is
- 4:01Speaker 2: what I seem. It feels like I'm doing, you know,
- 4:04Speaker 2: That's what it's feeling like. I started that a couple
- 4:06Speaker 2: of days, and I've been exercising so and I'm, you know, headed,
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm outside working out and then I'll be in the
- 4:12Speaker 2: gym after people finished, because you know, everybody, do you
- 4:15Speaker 2: feel like everybody's sick right now?
- 4:17Speaker 1: I got sick, like right before vacation, Like I went
- 4:20Speaker 1: to go see my daddy in the hospital at Sunday.
- 4:22Speaker 1: By Monday evening, I was fucking sick, like real life sick.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So I just started beefing up on his icon, and
- 4:30Speaker 1: I was a little bit sick going out of town. So, yes,
- 4:34Speaker 1: everybody's sick. And then I saw some they have some
- 4:36Speaker 1: super fungus or some shit out here now that they
- 4:40Speaker 1: said is not curable. Y'all can't tell me COVID wasn't
- 4:45Speaker 1: a fungus or not a fungus but a uh parasite,
- 4:49Speaker 1: right something something happening all over again, because yes, everybody
- 4:53Speaker 1: is sick, and I guess maybe this time year people
- 4:56Speaker 1: are normally sick, but it's just it's just every year
- 4:59Speaker 1: just seems.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Like, yeah, well that's what I'm trying to avoid. So
- 5:02Speaker 2: I'm just doing outside workouts right now. Because your girl
- 5:05Speaker 2: got thick again. Y'all had got so fine last summer
- 5:08Speaker 2: with that seventy five hard and now I'm back and
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm back big birth though, But that's okay because if
- 5:13Speaker 2: I could get it off one time, I can get
- 5:15Speaker 2: it off again.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Got big birth. You ain't never a big birth, child.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Let's get in the sins you got going on on
- 5:23Speaker 1: on in the world, child, aside from war. Yeah, bus
- 5:29Speaker 1: some fun shit on y'all. Of course we're not organized
- 5:32Speaker 1: at the beginning, Yes we are.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Listen alcohol al right, I got it, while you got it?
- 5:36Speaker 1: I got it?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Okay, all right, y'all.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So the alcohol industry has lost over eight hundred and
- 5:43Speaker 1: thirty billion dollars in the last four years. This article says,
- 5:47Speaker 1: as millennials and Gen z's are drinking less than our
- 5:51Speaker 1: past generations.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Do you agree with that? I think they crackheads, so
- 5:58Speaker 2: at least cope? Yeah, they just not. Alcohol is no
- 6:02Speaker 2: longer the drug of choice. I'm not. I don't think
- 6:04Speaker 2: people are just healthier, do you? I don't know.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It says global alcohol companies have lost about eight hundred
- 6:11Speaker 1: and thirty billion in market value over the past four
- 6:14Speaker 1: years as consumers drink less and rethink alcohol's role in
- 6:18Speaker 1: their lives. A Bloomberg index tracking about fifty major bear
- 6:22Speaker 1: wine and spirits producers and now excuse me, is now
- 6:26Speaker 1: forty six percent below it's twenty twenty one peak, which
- 6:29Speaker 1: that's like kind of during COVID right, reflecting that analysts
- 6:34Speaker 1: describe as a structural, long term change rather than a
- 6:41Speaker 1: temporary downturn feeling falling consumption driven by health concerns, generational shifts,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and lifestyle changes that's hit earnings across the sector. I mean,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I kind of we might be on some other shit,
- 6:55Speaker 1: like we like, I don't drink that much.
- 6:58Speaker 2: When we older listen millennials. It says millennials and gen
- 7:02Speaker 2: zs are drinking less influenced by wellness trends, weight loss, drugs,
- 7:06Speaker 2: cannabis alternatives, and the growing popularity of non alcohol products.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And then it's also being influenced by rise and costs
- 7:14Speaker 2: because of terriffs and wea can demand in China what
- 7:19Speaker 2: alcohol is?
- 7:19Speaker 1: China sent it over here? I thought, like the tequila
- 7:21Speaker 1: is supposed to come from Mexico, and shit.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Who knows. I was looking for some alcohol alternatives yesterday
- 7:29Speaker 2: and I found this thing called Hio hi Yo and
- 7:33Speaker 2: they had good reviews, like a ten out of ten.
- 7:35Speaker 2: So I'm gonna try. And it says it gives you
- 7:37Speaker 2: a euphoric feeling without all the bullshit. That's the poison,
- 7:41Speaker 2: because alcohol, let's call it what it is.
- 7:42Speaker 1: It's poisonous, that's all, you know, literally poisoning your body.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 1: No, I feel like I don't know. I feel like
- 7:50Speaker 1: people still, like the regular people still be drinking, Like, yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I don't know that we are extra drugs though, like
- 7:58Speaker 1: you suggest, well, I don't remember.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I don't remember people when I was young. I don't
- 8:04Speaker 2: remember people casually doing shrooms. Oh yeah, I.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Think with more information surrounding psychedelics during our generation, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 1: people realize, like you know, microdocin might be good for
- 8:20Speaker 1: you versus being on an adderall or some type of
- 8:23Speaker 1: prescription drug. You know, you still with shit from your earth,
- 8:28Speaker 1: you know, so you got your weeds, you got your shrooms. Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 1: and alcohol really isn't saying it's pure sugar, but most
- 8:37Speaker 1: of it is not even pure sugar, is like man
- 8:39Speaker 1: made additives and all that bullshit in our alcohol. So
- 8:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm gonna lean towards the weren't natural.
- 8:46Speaker 1: If you gotta do something.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Do something natural. So look at this. Yeah, don't do it.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's all right, listen to this. Strippers donated for two
- 9:00Speaker 2: hundred and fifty thousand dollars to children's hospitals and are
- 9:03Speaker 2: now the number one donor of toys of toys hospital
- 9:08Speaker 2: history in Portland. I guess toys in the hospital's history
- 9:13Speaker 2: in Portland. So there's a heart woman's story out of Portland.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It's proven that the generosity can come from unexpected places.
- 9:20Speaker 2: A group of local Exotic Dancers has become the largest
- 9:23Speaker 2: private donors of toys to Portland's Children's Hospital, breaking their
- 9:26Speaker 2: own record this year with thousands get gifts collected for
- 9:30Speaker 2: kids in medical care. Because nothing sells more than pussy.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So if let's be clear, you know, they could afford
- 9:40Speaker 2: to do this.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's a tax deduction, Okay. So I'm pretty sure they
- 9:43Speaker 1: running the escort about that COUUCI and they're all what
- 9:47Speaker 1: is it employees.
- 9:50Speaker 2: And they're probably all moms. A lot of them are moms,
- 9:53Speaker 2: you know, So they want to make sure them kids.
- 9:55Speaker 2: If nobody got something for them kids in the hospital,
- 9:58Speaker 2: them striggles got it. And I log now. So that's
- 10:02Speaker 2: a beautiful thing for the holidays. I mean, the holiday
- 10:04Speaker 2: season is over now, but just a little warmth to share.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So I saw this article. It says men who marry
- 10:13Speaker 1: after thirty five have the lowest divorce rates of all
- 10:16Speaker 1: male groups. Divorce rates in the United States have steadily
- 10:22Speaker 1: declined over the past three decades, dropping from nineteen divorces
- 10:26Speaker 1: per one thousand married people in nineteen ninety to thirteen.
- 10:32Speaker 1: That's not even a big jump for whatever, to thirteen
- 10:35Speaker 1: per one twenty twenty one However, this overall decline hides
- 10:39Speaker 1: major differences in age groups, so apparently, and I agree
- 10:45Speaker 1: with that, after thirty five, I think men are more
- 10:47Speaker 1: ready and more inclined, right, and more mature to get married.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And they lose they they don't work as good. Not
- 10:57Speaker 2: saying that all the time, but you know, like I
- 11:00Speaker 2: feel like men get older, they lose the desire to
- 11:04Speaker 2: just be fucking all the time, whereas women are desired increases.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Exactly beef it up, like where is the dick? Okay?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Right? So I mean, but that's a good thing, and
- 11:15Speaker 2: that's hopeful too.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So and you know how they say like having kids
- 11:20Speaker 1: older in age for women, you know, the kids are
- 11:23Speaker 1: more likely to possibly have autism, things like that. But
- 11:26Speaker 1: actually it is the male's sperm and how it degrades
- 11:30Speaker 1: over time, that old ass sperm. So men really need
- 11:34Speaker 1: to be trying to have kids before thirty three because
- 11:37Speaker 1: after because just think about it, the baby comes out
- 11:40Speaker 1: to man first, like that's your kid. I add my
- 11:43Speaker 1: little shit to the pot, you know, once it gets
- 11:45Speaker 1: to me. But really that's your old ass sperm. It's
- 11:49Speaker 1: a lot of things they make it like it's as
- 11:52Speaker 1: if it's women's problems. It's just not right. So I'll
- 11:56Speaker 1: might need to be getting married at least before thirty three, actually.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Preferably, but not if you're not ready, because he's just
- 12:04Speaker 2: gonna be making more broken homes. We don't want that.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So what are we talking about today?
- 12:11Speaker 1: I don't know something something you're asking anyway, y'all, it's
- 12:16Speaker 1: new year. Happy new year again. Okay, there's something really
- 12:20Speaker 1: special about the beginning of the year. I love the
- 12:23Speaker 1: beginning of the year. I feel like it's always like
- 12:26Speaker 1: a new promise, right, And it's not because everything suddenly changes,
- 12:30Speaker 1: but because we get a fresh opportunity to move differently.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You can use this time to reinvent yourself if you
- 12:38Speaker 1: want to be somebody completely different. They say it only
- 12:40Speaker 1: take like six months to change your whole life, so
- 12:43Speaker 1: you can lock in from January to June. You can
- 12:46Speaker 1: be a whole nother, a whole another bitch, right, it's
- 12:51Speaker 1: me exactly. So this season is not about pressure or
- 12:56Speaker 1: approving anything. It's about clarity, ease, and choosing what feels aligned.
- 13:02Speaker 1: So we want to trust ourselves a little bit more.
- 13:04Speaker 1: We're throwing out all overthinking and we're just gonna make
- 13:08Speaker 1: room for more joy. Right, So this year should feel
- 13:12Speaker 1: more open, it should feel lighter, it should feel like possibilities.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I love it.
- 13:20Speaker 1: So that's what I want to talk about this year.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I mean this episode for this year, for the beginning
- 13:25Speaker 1: of the year.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Okay, let's get into it right after we come back
- 13:28Speaker 2: from this commercial. All right, first, let's start with what
- 13:38Speaker 2: you did to celebrate the new year, eil I started.
- 13:43Speaker 1: So, I have been saying I wanted to take a
- 13:45Speaker 1: solo trip for a long time. So one of my
- 13:47Speaker 1: main Christmas gifts was a trip to Barbatos, my food thing.
- 13:54Speaker 1: But I was actually there. It was supposed to be
- 13:57Speaker 1: three days, but this nigga missed his flight that Sunday,
- 14:01Speaker 1: so it came on Monday, so I got some time
- 14:05Speaker 1: to spend with myself in Paradise.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 14:08Speaker 1: As soon as I got off the plane on Christmas Day,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I wrecked the fucking rental car. That's how I started
- 14:16Speaker 1: my vacation. But and I cried, you know, like literally
- 14:21Speaker 1: just pulled off from the damn car rental agency and
- 14:24Speaker 1: hit the curb, just like as if I never knew
- 14:27Speaker 1: how to drive, because over there you got to drive
- 14:28Speaker 1: on the right side, like the wheel is on the
- 14:30Speaker 1: right side of the car and you're driving on the
- 14:33Speaker 1: left side of the roads, and my perception was just
- 14:35Speaker 1: fucking off.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but you were able to push push through and
- 14:40Speaker 2: you got another car to give you another car.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Right luckily, yes, we get another vehicle. But yees, so
- 14:46Speaker 1: I had That was one of my main birthday Christmas gifts.
- 14:50Speaker 1: What the hell? One of my main Christmas gifts was Barbados.
- 14:54Speaker 1: So that's how I started.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I was there quite a bit for a while. Couple.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, the basement day to New Year's Day.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good. So I had absolutely no plans
- 15:07Speaker 2: for the New Year, and a friend of the show,
- 15:11Speaker 2: a friend to both of us, Jonathan, reached out to
- 15:15Speaker 2: me that morning New Year's Eve. He was like, what
- 15:17Speaker 2: you doing tonight and I was like nothing. He was like,
- 15:20Speaker 2: let's go get food. So we went to Ruth Chris
- 15:24Speaker 2: at night and he was you know, he's such an asshole.
- 15:27Speaker 2: He was like, oh god, God, is so funny. I'm
- 15:32Speaker 2: spending my New Year with a blue haired feminist. Can't
- 15:35Speaker 2: I don't know if you can tell what my hair
- 15:36Speaker 2: is don yet. That's how I about say who it's
- 15:39Speaker 2: navy blue. But you can't really tell this color, but
- 15:42Speaker 2: it's navy blue. So he called me a blue haired feminist.
- 15:45Speaker 2: So we went to Ruth Chris and he said the
- 15:48Speaker 2: bag is up. He said, you can't eat. You can't
- 15:51Speaker 2: eat more than what I can pay for, so this
- 15:55Speaker 2: order and I went crazy. I was like that. I
- 16:00Speaker 2: was like, I would have a lobster tail as well.
- 16:05Speaker 2: When you see my drink, get little, just breaking another one,
- 16:08Speaker 2: don't ask like. I just went crazy. And there I
- 16:10Speaker 2: had crab cakes. I went crazy, and we sat in
- 16:13Speaker 2: there and we got fucked up, and we just brought
- 16:17Speaker 2: the new year, and and r Chris eating and drinking. Well, no,
- 16:24Speaker 2: we left a little after midnight. There were clothes already,
- 16:27Speaker 2: but the staff was drinking like they wasn't like pushing
- 16:30Speaker 2: nobody out, you know. So it is a good time.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And then that night I went home and I watched
- 16:38Speaker 2: Stranger Things. I did a shroom and I watched Stranger Things,
- 16:44Speaker 2: and I was like having the time in my life
- 16:46Speaker 2: watching that. I was you took no, he gave it
- 16:52Speaker 2: to me, but it had like a little it looked
- 16:55Speaker 2: like a bull on the front of it, on the
- 16:57Speaker 2: front of the back. I have to ask him because
- 17:00Speaker 2: I was very introspective. I was very like and I
- 17:04Speaker 2: was just like a kid in here watching the show,
- 17:06Speaker 2: like jumping on the bed and jumping off the bed,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and it was just such a good time and had
- 17:10Speaker 2: such a good time. So that was my New Year.
- 17:13Speaker 2: And then New Year's Day, I almost hit up one
- 17:17Speaker 2: of my own niggas because I was lonely. But I
- 17:19Speaker 2: got on Hinge. Y'all need to check out Hinge. Like
- 17:24Speaker 2: what I met somebody. This is about to be my husband, y'all.
- 17:28Speaker 2: And I'm claiming it here on the first episode of
- 17:30Speaker 2: twenty twenty six that I don't marry this man. Ohn't
- 17:35Speaker 2: my god. So that's how I say. And I said
- 17:38Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna mention it.
- 17:39Speaker 1: But and you're bad a bitch because it comes to
- 17:41Speaker 1: you and them and be like, we're all rooting for you.
- 17:47Speaker 2: So okay, take that long. Share one thing that you're
- 17:51Speaker 2: excited about for this year. Ah, let me see.
- 17:57Speaker 1: You know, I'm a little bit. I feel more motivated it, right,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I think last year, and shit, I don't even say
- 18:03Speaker 1: last year. I mean the last four or five years
- 18:07Speaker 1: I have been trying to get out of my own way, right,
- 18:10Speaker 1: So I have clearer vision. I know all my bullshit, right,
- 18:15Speaker 1: There's nobody else's fault if I don't get all the
- 18:18Speaker 1: things done this year that I need to. So I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: just excited about just straight up executing, just see seeing what.
- 18:29Speaker 1: There's nothing that can stop me from many things I
- 18:31Speaker 1: want to do, So I'm just excited to execute. I'm
- 18:35Speaker 1: excited to be more disciplined. Right. I don't want to
- 18:40Speaker 1: say I have resolutions, Like getting disciplined is not my resolution.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like I'm already that. I'm already doing it right before
- 18:50Speaker 1: the new year I started, So that's it. At this year,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I might be a whole nother bitch too.
- 18:59Speaker 2: You will be. So I'm excited about I I'm going
- 19:06Speaker 2: to make sure that me and you go on a
- 19:10Speaker 2: motherfucking tour this year. If I don't do nothing else,
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'm getting that done. So that is high on my
- 19:18Speaker 2: priority lives for twenty twenty six. Me and AJ are
- 19:21Speaker 2: going on to y'all to coming to a city near you.
- 19:24Speaker 2: You heard it here first. I am going to make
- 19:26Speaker 2: sure that happens. I'm excited about that, and I'm excited
- 19:29Speaker 2: about new business ventures. I got my hand in a
- 19:32Speaker 2: couple of pots this year. That. I mean, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 2: you know that, I just kind of like, literally God
- 19:40Speaker 2: has really dropped some opportunities in my lap for real,
- 19:44Speaker 2: and so I'm just gonna work hard, harder than I've
- 19:49Speaker 2: ever had before on like you said, execution, which is
- 19:53Speaker 2: where I struggle. You know, I've made an appointment with
- 19:57Speaker 2: UP because I'm in South Carolina right now. The South
- 19:59Speaker 2: Carolina a small business incubator, which is a free service
- 20:03Speaker 2: where they help small businesses execute, and I made an
- 20:06Speaker 2: appointment with them for next week because I just need
- 20:09Speaker 2: someone to say, do this, Okay, now you need to
- 20:11Speaker 2: do this. Okay now, since you did that, do this,
- 20:15Speaker 2: so you know that's what I have. And then I'm
- 20:18Speaker 2: just very excited about this new nigga. I just told
- 20:21Speaker 2: you all about all right, So my next question one
- 20:24Speaker 2: feeling you want more of this year? Hmm?
- 20:32Speaker 1: I want more.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Love.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I want more consideration. I want more.
- 20:43Speaker 2: That's too much, it was one, but go ahead.
- 20:46Speaker 1: More happiness, right, more.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Bliss, that's a good word.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's about it.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I think for me, I want more peace. I want
- 21:01Speaker 2: more peace. I want peace even in chaos, when there's
- 21:05Speaker 2: chaos or we have war this country, that war, it's
- 21:08Speaker 2: all kinds of shit going on, and I just want
- 21:10Speaker 2: to find peace in the midst of any chaos that
- 21:13Speaker 2: may come my way. And I just want to security.
- 21:19Speaker 2: So those are definitely two words for me, and love too,
- 21:23Speaker 2: but you know that's my That's my word all year,
- 21:25Speaker 2: every year, So I don't you know, I.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Feel like all things come from it. That's why, right,
- 21:31Speaker 1: everything comes from love, comes from love. Humanity loved each
- 21:37Speaker 1: other more they were not, it would not be all
- 21:38Speaker 1: as bullshit going on like it is right now. So yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I think I I.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So okay. So in order for you to get those things,
- 21:51Speaker 2: how are you going to move differently? Like? What are
- 21:54Speaker 2: you going to do different?
- 21:55Speaker 1: We have to be all the things you want, right.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You have to be more loving, you have to be
- 22:00Speaker 1: more considerate. I think for me, I probably don't consider
- 22:04Speaker 1: myself more than I consider other people. So maybe that's
- 22:07Speaker 1: another thing I might need to work on for twenty
- 22:10Speaker 1: twenty six. And not to be like selfish, because being
- 22:13Speaker 1: selfish sometime is self care, right, but just making sure
- 22:17Speaker 1: that the things that you say you want to do
- 22:20Speaker 1: for yourself that you actually do them. So just booo,
- 22:22Speaker 1: what the fuck you say you're gonna do I want
- 22:24Speaker 1: to do what the fuck I say I'm gonna do
- 22:27Speaker 1: for me right in twenty six?
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I want to be more intentional, and
- 22:35Speaker 2: I just one thing is that one thing that I
- 22:39Speaker 2: have decided that I have to do if I want
- 22:42Speaker 2: any of these things to come into fruition? Did I
- 22:47Speaker 2: say that word right?
- 22:49Speaker 1: Come to fruition?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Okay? I have to abandon fear. I have to abandon fear.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Fear and not like scared like in a corner, but
- 23:01Speaker 2: like just.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Other people think, fear.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Of other people's opinions or expectations, or fear that I'm
- 23:12Speaker 2: gonna fail, or fear that some like, especially when it
- 23:16Speaker 2: matters of relationships, that people are gonna leave me, you know,
- 23:21Speaker 2: those fears that, yeah, I have to I have to
- 23:24Speaker 2: abandon those fears, you know, and just what will be
- 23:27Speaker 2: will be, you know, and be okay with that. And
- 23:30Speaker 2: then another thing.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Sometimes the things we fixate on we kind of manifest.
- 23:35Speaker 2: And that's the thing. Another overthinking. I will overthink some shit.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I'll be laying in the bed, can't sleep because I'm
- 23:41Speaker 2: overthinking some shit I ain't got no control over, you know,
- 23:44Speaker 2: like girl go to bed, right, So that is definitely
- 23:49Speaker 2: something that I'm going to do differently this year.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Let me think of something else I'm going to do
- 23:57Speaker 1: differently this year. I know I say this all the time.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I'm not arguing with people no more, but somehow I
- 24:04Speaker 1: still end up. It already happened. We didn't argue one
- 24:10Speaker 1: of my friends. We were talking about like just random
- 24:14Speaker 1: and I don't is it a friend? I get random
- 24:17Speaker 1: phone calls from people all the time, right, and sometimes
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'll answer and sometimes I don't. And when I say random,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I mean because this is not like people who I
- 24:27Speaker 1: talk These are not people in my day to day
- 24:29Speaker 1: life for real. It's just like people who still have
- 24:31Speaker 1: my phone number essentially, but I consider them acquaintances or whatever.
- 24:36Speaker 1: But just getting into like like I feel like people
- 24:38Speaker 1: be calling me the podcast. I'm not potting on regular
- 24:43Speaker 1: phone calls no more. Like what the fuck do you want?
- 24:47Speaker 1: Like why are we going back and forth? Like it's
- 24:49Speaker 1: a camera in a micro front of us. I'm not
- 24:52Speaker 1: doing that. Get off my phone.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair, and you have the right to do
- 24:56Speaker 2: that because we don't call me with that. I know
- 24:58Speaker 2: you though I have a podcast, but that's not what
- 25:01Speaker 2: we're doing here.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Do people do that to you, Like do people call
- 25:04Speaker 1: you to debate about things, like they ask your opinion
- 25:08Speaker 1: about stuff? They call you opinionated or asking your opinion
- 25:13Speaker 1: on things, and then I guess when you don't agree
- 25:16Speaker 1: or it just ends up in a like a back
- 25:18Speaker 1: and forth thing.
- 25:19Speaker 2: No, and I'm not going back and forth to you.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I don't have that going on because I just let
- 25:23Speaker 2: people have it, Like, okay, that's how you feel.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I need to let people have it in twenty twenty.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Six, Yeah, just let them go on, and then I'll
- 25:30Speaker 2: be like, oh my mama, call me, needs the call.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I exit the conversation.
- 25:37Speaker 1: People would be like, I don't need to be right,
- 25:39Speaker 1: but yes you do, because if you don't need to
- 25:41Speaker 1: be right, this conversation would have ended thirty minutes ago, right.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I just yeah, I let people feel how they feel,
- 25:48Speaker 2: because sometimes people are just committed to misunderstanding and they
- 25:52Speaker 2: just want someone to go back and forth with and
- 25:54Speaker 2: I'm not going to give you that. So I just
- 25:56Speaker 2: be like, Okay, you know, okay, yeah, yeah you got it.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah you got it. So that's a perspective and I'll
- 26:06Speaker 2: leave it at that. That's a perspective. I don't say
- 26:09Speaker 2: I agree with it or not. I just say that
- 26:11Speaker 2: is one of them or interesting. Right, All right, let's
- 26:16Speaker 2: play a little game, all right, So you're gonna say
- 26:20Speaker 2: what the year feels like to you? Okay, So this
- 26:24Speaker 2: year feels like a song. Pick a song, I mean
- 26:29Speaker 2: the year just started. But yeah, but I mean like
- 26:33Speaker 2: in hopefulness.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean the first song that comes
- 26:38Speaker 1: in my head is like see Little Green Crazy, like
- 26:42Speaker 1: I remember, I remember, I remember when I lost about that,
- 26:47Speaker 1: when someone's so schedular about that letter. I listened to
- 26:51Speaker 1: that song often because it reminds me of where I
- 26:57Speaker 1: was versus where I am now. Right, So it's just
- 27:02Speaker 1: like mentally, just all the things right, because there was
- 27:06Speaker 1: a point in my life where I felt like I
- 27:08Speaker 1: was losing my fucking mind. And it wasn't that long ago.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I can't say it was something pleasant about that place. Yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I've experienced that and within the last few years, and
- 27:19Speaker 1: I'm not in that space anymore.
- 27:22Speaker 2: That was a hit for t Low. Yeah, I don't
- 27:25Speaker 2: think you're crazy. Yeah, that was a good one for me.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Alicia Myers, I want to thank you. I want to
- 27:35Speaker 2: thank you, even my father shining y'all light on me. Oh,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I sounded to look good, right then, didn't I? No,
- 27:46Speaker 2: all right, this year feels like a season. Which one
- 27:50Speaker 2: for you?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Oh? It's always something girl, I am you know, I'm
- 27:54Speaker 1: a gymnih okay, conceived in Nicole, born in the heat. Okay,
- 27:59Speaker 1: so it's summer for me.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Oh see it. I was thinking about like food seasonings,
- 28:05Speaker 2: so I was gonna go with like sugar bitch what
- 28:09Speaker 2: so that I would go with I'm sorry because it's sweet.
- 28:13Speaker 2: All right, So spring if you all right, but if
- 28:16Speaker 2: you had to put a food season on the world,
- 28:18Speaker 2: would it be?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Though regan? I like, it's healing, it tastes good, like, okay,
- 28:30Speaker 1: that's good.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And then I would go with spring because I think
- 28:34Speaker 2: spring is Spring is really the new year for me,
- 28:37Speaker 2: you know, like everything's renewing. So all right the next one.
- 28:43Speaker 2: This year feels like a drink would drink.
- 28:47Speaker 1: It's red wine for me, and I don't even drink
- 28:50Speaker 1: that often, but I found myself buying red ring because
- 28:54Speaker 1: of charlamagne. As so. Jessica birthday was in November run
- 29:00Speaker 1: up to Thanksgiving, so we went to a little surprise
- 29:04Speaker 1: get together and I took my significant other and Charlamagne
- 29:09Speaker 1: was like, basically, he doesn't drink for real, like he'll
- 29:12Speaker 1: do like wine or champagne, but he doesn't drink liquid.
- 29:14Speaker 1: But Charlomagne convinced him that red wine is like gonna
- 29:18Speaker 1: make his dick car forever. So now how that stalked
- 29:22Speaker 1: him on red wine and his bitch and when he
- 29:24Speaker 1: comes no, but it just it's good. It is good
- 29:29Speaker 1: for heart health and circulation. You know what I'm saying.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It's good for men to drink red wine. So I
- 29:33Speaker 1: would think that that's gonna be my my shift for
- 29:35Speaker 1: this year. So I have stalked up on some costco
- 29:40Speaker 1: red wine.
- 29:41Speaker 2: We get at and like, y'all need just the money, y'all.
- 29:45Speaker 2: She'd been supporting y'all for years on this show.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I got a couple of Kirkland brand red wine child Merlow,
- 29:53Speaker 1: and there's a couple other I don't be knowing for real.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I just pick up whatever has the highest alcohol volume.
- 29:59Speaker 2: You should try, You should try. Maybe I'll give this
- 30:02Speaker 2: to you for your birthday. Brown Family Winery out of NAPA.
- 30:06Speaker 2: It's a black On winery, black On Vineyard, and they
- 30:09Speaker 2: have some really really nice red wine and it's out
- 30:13Speaker 2: of Napa and they're black, so there's that. So all right,
- 30:17Speaker 2: the drink for me would be a ranch water. I
- 30:20Speaker 2: don't know if y'all know what that.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Is, but what's that.
- 30:24Speaker 2: It's tequila, soda water and lime. And the reason why
- 30:29Speaker 2: I choose that is because it gets the job done
- 30:32Speaker 2: without all the added bullshit. And that's what I will
- 30:35Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six. Let's get the job done without
- 30:38Speaker 2: all the bullshit. So it's just you can use whatever
- 30:42Speaker 2: liquor you want, but tequila has zero carbs. So tequila
- 30:47Speaker 2: soda water in the lime, and I like the soda
- 30:50Speaker 2: water to be that. It's tapo chico. I think that's
- 30:53Speaker 2: how you pronounce it. That if I saying it wrong,
- 30:56Speaker 2: yellow yeah, and it's topo chico. I think that's how
- 30:59Speaker 2: you pronounce. It's really good and those taste so nice
- 31:02Speaker 2: together and you get the job done without all the
- 31:05Speaker 2: bullshit period or and then lastly, of the game, this
- 31:10Speaker 2: year feels like a word. One word, what would it be?
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's blessed for me. I don't like be saying. I
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't like to say bless I know people to me
- 31:20Speaker 1: people when people say bless it's like car sarcasm. Because
- 31:24Speaker 1: it's be less, you know, when you break it up.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And usually when people say it is girl, have a
- 31:30Speaker 1: blessed day, they don't really mean it. Yeah, so blessed,
- 31:34Speaker 1: bless me for twenty twenty six, I want to pay me.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yes, that's a good word, all right. So for me,
- 31:42Speaker 2: it's a gape. And that's that unconditional, selfless love. I
- 31:48Speaker 2: love that's not based on feelings or physical attraction or reciprocity,
- 31:53Speaker 2: A love that seeks well being of others without expecting
- 31:58Speaker 2: anything in return. So, yeah, a gotpe that's what I
- 32:02Speaker 2: want twenty twenty six.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Is that an English word?
- 32:07Speaker 2: I don't think it's Greek?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Oh a gote?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go for it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Were for your for your vocabulary.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, write it down, get it, get a tattooed, get
- 32:19Speaker 2: a tattooed. I got it all right, So we're gonna
- 32:23Speaker 2: try it a new way. Name one thing you're not
- 32:27Speaker 2: gonna overthink this year. I don't know.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I feel like some I've already like been mastering some things, right.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I feel like in the past, like most of my
- 32:37Speaker 1: over overthinking was surrounding relationships. It really wasn't like regular
- 32:43Speaker 1: day to day life shit, or it was just like
- 32:46Speaker 1: thinking about what the fuck somebody else is doing to me? Basically,
- 32:51Speaker 1: So I don't have those bad type of I'm not
- 32:53Speaker 1: in that energy. I don't have those type of problems anymore.
- 32:56Speaker 1: So I don't know if I I don't know what
- 32:59Speaker 1: I would be for thinking about. Right now, I'm gonna
- 33:04Speaker 1: sleep good night. I still be thinking. I be thinking
- 33:07Speaker 1: about a bunch of shit. It's just not is that overthinking?
- 33:10Speaker 1: I think about it?
- 33:11Speaker 2: If you can't sleep at night because you're thinking that,
- 33:14Speaker 2: would that is probably overthinking?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's just it's just how do you overthink?
- 33:24Speaker 2: Were you obsessed about some shit and you think about
- 33:27Speaker 2: it multiple times, different scenarios playing it in your head?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Oh what if it happens bad? What I'm obsess about
- 33:34Speaker 2: is my weight? Stop overthinking that too, And I've.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Been stop thinking about food and when i'mna eat like
- 33:43Speaker 1: that shit frustrates me and stresses me the funk out
- 33:45Speaker 1: all throughout the day. So if I feel a little
- 33:48Speaker 1: tiny hot, is he to low something that's going just
- 33:50Speaker 1: thinking about what I'm eating? Cook every day?
- 33:53Speaker 2: Stop overthinking that ship And as far as my way concern, like,
- 33:57Speaker 2: I am a little birther right now, and that's the
- 33:59Speaker 2: fucking Okay. This nigga liked it, and I'm gonna look
- 34:04Speaker 2: back at this body one day when I'm old and
- 34:07Speaker 2: miss it. So that's why I'm like, I look at
- 34:09Speaker 2: old pictures where I was beat myself up and I
- 34:11Speaker 2: was like, damn, I was fine. So I just I'm
- 34:14Speaker 2: just gonna accept my body at every stage and just
- 34:17Speaker 2: be okay with it, because I definitely overthink that shit
- 34:20Speaker 2: all the time. I will beat myself up in the
- 34:22Speaker 2: mirror and I'm just done. You know, I'm done overthinking that.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And I'm done overthinking my relationships with people. Everybody, whatever
- 34:35Speaker 2: it is is what it is, you know, I'm overthinking.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I think it's especially my friendships that I not even
- 34:42Speaker 2: with niggas, but the friendships that have dissolved in what
- 34:45Speaker 2: way I will play it out in my head and
- 34:47Speaker 2: replay it and what could I have done different? What
- 34:50Speaker 2: could they have done?
- 34:51Speaker 1: That?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Bitch ain't shit? You know, I'm done with all of
- 34:53Speaker 2: that too, you know, like what everybody ain't meant to
- 34:56Speaker 2: be a part of every chapter and I have to be.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Yeah, let me add that too. I agree, it's one
- 35:02Speaker 1: of my if I have to say, resolution was just
- 35:04Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about old relationships no more.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Sometimes it might be relevant because we if were talking
- 35:11Speaker 1: about relationships or something like that, but I really don't
- 35:13Speaker 1: want to. I don't want to think about the motherfuckers.
- 35:17Speaker 1: I don't want to think about old besties. Yeah, because
- 35:19Speaker 1: I feel like even those relationships, like with your female
- 35:22Speaker 1: friends that you are no longer friends with, I feel
- 35:25Speaker 1: like those actually hurt more than with men. Mantic relationships
- 35:29Speaker 1: for sure, Like yeah, with the means like I was
- 35:32Speaker 1: done with you. The relationships with women, it's almost like
- 35:36Speaker 1: it's just a weird Well I already told you, because
- 35:38Speaker 1: I feel like you know my secrets and you just
- 35:40Speaker 1: walk around the world knowing shit about me.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I don't like that. It just happened to me recently,
- 35:47Speaker 2: and it was this two girls that I used to
- 35:50Speaker 2: be cool with, and I am no longer an acquaintance
- 35:53Speaker 2: with them anymore. I mean one of them we never
- 35:56Speaker 2: really fell out, we just kind of stopped talking. And
- 36:00Speaker 2: then the other one I do not fuck with because
- 36:03Speaker 2: she did some shit that I just felt like with shady.
- 36:06Speaker 2: So I saw them. I was in a restaurant in Charlotte.
- 36:10Speaker 2: I was out with this guy. We was just kicking
- 36:11Speaker 2: it at the bar, nothing serious, just friends, and they
- 36:14Speaker 2: were in there and I wasn't sure should I say
- 36:20Speaker 2: be polite and say hi or just keep walking past
- 36:23Speaker 2: some bitches like I ain't see him? So I chose
- 36:26Speaker 2: the latter. But what would you have done? Would you
- 36:31Speaker 2: have said hello? Because I mean, while I'm saying, how
- 36:34Speaker 2: do you bitches? That's how I feel at this point,
- 36:36Speaker 2: like I'm done with politeness. Y'all. You don't like me,
- 36:41Speaker 2: clearly you don't like me, and I don't like you either.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I mean, I'm indifferent honestly, So it's okay. We don't
- 36:47Speaker 2: have to fake politeness at this point. And that's how
- 36:51Speaker 2: I feel, like.
- 36:52Speaker 1: No, I think it's definitely okay just to be a
- 36:55Speaker 1: motherfucker that somebody used to know, Like you don't know
- 36:57Speaker 1: me no more, right, So, I mean, but me personally,
- 37:01Speaker 1: when I see when I see strangers, I say him.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I guess they would have to be more intentional if
- 37:06Speaker 1: I walk by somebody that I have known, you know,
- 37:10Speaker 1: if we had.
- 37:12Speaker 2: To pass each other's path, maybe I would have been
- 37:14Speaker 2: like hi, right, but it would yeah or something like that.
- 37:20Speaker 2: But we didn't have to. But I was like thinking,
- 37:25Speaker 2: about like, am I should I say?
- 37:26Speaker 1: How?
- 37:26Speaker 2: Should I not? Now? I won't even I ain't even
- 37:28Speaker 2: gonna get that no energy at this stage in my life.
- 37:31Speaker 2: It is what it is. Yeah, all right. One thing
- 37:34Speaker 2: you're open to this year?
- 37:37Speaker 1: New partnerships?
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:40Speaker 1: Why is my shit focusing like that?
- 37:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:43Speaker 1: This is hard. I should have liked Why did you
- 37:45Speaker 1: tell me what we was talking about beforehand?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Simply?
- 37:49Speaker 1: What am I open to this year? Just all the
- 37:52Speaker 1: possibilities new friends, because new friends get your places old
- 37:56Speaker 1: friends can't. So yeah that, yeah, we don't have those
- 37:58Speaker 1: old relationships anymore. Or but I like meeting new people.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I like making new friends, so I'm definitely always open
- 38:05Speaker 1: to that. I'm opening new ways to make money, okay, always,
- 38:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Come back to me, how many people
- 38:12Speaker 1: in the room?
- 38:12Speaker 2: Okay, I guess what I'm gonna whisper y'all, so come close.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I'm open da having sex without a condom this year.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it without a COMMI this year, I
- 38:23Speaker 2: ain't gonna have a baby if I keep sucking with
- 38:25Speaker 2: a condom every time. I'm open to that.
- 38:30Speaker 1: I guess I'm open to fucking with the condom I'm
- 38:33Speaker 1: open the safe set.
- 38:34Speaker 2: No, hell, no, you me get that. I'm gonna cry.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna cry it, okay. And then the last thing,
- 38:41Speaker 2: one way, you're choosing joy on purpose.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I mean, happiness is definitely a state of mind, right,
- 38:49Speaker 1: so you can choose to be happy or you could
- 38:50Speaker 1: choose to be sad. So I'm going to purposely be
- 38:55Speaker 1: happy every day, and I'm generally a happy person. I
- 38:58Speaker 1: mean it could be things, you know, throughout the day,
- 39:01Speaker 1: throughout the month, throughout the year. You may have some
- 39:04Speaker 1: type of little ill feelings. But yeah, I'm gonna purposely
- 39:09Speaker 1: be happy. Let's seem I could be happy three hundred
- 39:11Speaker 1: and sixty five days this year.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's hard, but it's a try. I
- 39:17Speaker 2: think one thing I'm gonna do to purposely, you know,
- 39:22Speaker 2: choose joy. Anytime I have an intrusive thought, I'm gonna
- 39:27Speaker 2: try to combat it with two good thoughts. Anytime I
- 39:30Speaker 2: have a thought like towards myself, like a negative or
- 39:34Speaker 2: I'm not good enough or I'm not smart enough, I'm
- 39:36Speaker 2: not funny enough, or I'm not pretty enough, or you
- 39:38Speaker 2: get old. Every time I hear that in my head,
- 39:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna combat it was two good things about myself
- 39:45Speaker 2: that I like, and I like a lot of shit
- 39:47Speaker 2: about me, you know, So I.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Can't be beating ourselves up.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, man, we be beating ourselves up. So that is
- 39:53Speaker 2: my That is my goal in choosing joy this year
- 39:58Speaker 2: and how I'm gonna do it and how I'm gonna
- 40:00Speaker 2: practice it. So guess what I got for us? And
- 40:04Speaker 2: we're gonna go to a commercial book? Guess what I got.
- 40:07Speaker 2: We got a dumb bitch story. We got one of
- 40:09Speaker 2: the party year off. Somebody already know.
- 40:15Speaker 1: That I brought that nigga into twenty twenty six.
- 40:18Speaker 2: All right, y'all, we'll be right back and we'll get
- 40:20Speaker 2: into it. All right. Do you want me to read
- 40:28Speaker 2: this or you're gonna read this? Is kind of long.
- 40:30Speaker 2: She took some time, she had some time.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Go you got it? Oh my god.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Okay, So hey, ladies, I already know. Please don't yell
- 40:39Speaker 2: at me too bad. Damn she's starting out. Okay. I
- 40:44Speaker 2: met this man in October at a friend's kickback. Tall, charming,
- 40:48Speaker 2: good job, very soft spoken, king energy. He asked for
- 40:52Speaker 2: my number that night, and we were inseparable almost immediately,
- 40:56Speaker 2: like daily face times falling asleep on the phone, good
- 41:00Speaker 2: morning texts, good night text sending memes all day. First
- 41:04Speaker 2: red flag that I ignored. He said he doesn't really do
- 41:07Speaker 2: social media because it causes drama. He told me he
- 41:10Speaker 2: deleted Instagram but still had one for business. I said, okay,
- 41:14Speaker 2: because I didn't want to see him insecure. Second red flag.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Every time I went to his place, it was always
- 41:21Speaker 2: late at night, never daytime, never weekends. He said he
- 41:25Speaker 2: worked weird hours in like this privacy. His apartment was
- 41:29Speaker 2: very clean, but no personality, no pictures, no mail, no food,
- 41:35Speaker 2: just vibes, no food.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Just dick, No late night dick. Okay, got it right.
- 41:44Speaker 2: That's basically talking about just vibes food. No food would
- 41:48Speaker 2: have had me up out of there quick. I don't
- 41:49Speaker 2: care if you ain't got no pictures onder all, but
- 41:51Speaker 2: you ain't got no food here? I yetto, all right.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Third red flag. I asked him once if he was
- 41:59Speaker 2: seeing anyone else, and he said, I'm not entertaining anybody. Seriously.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I thought that meant me. Apparently that meant something else entirely.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Fast forward to December. He comes to my birthday dinner,
- 42:12Speaker 2: meets my friends, posts a picture of my drink on
- 42:15Speaker 2: this story but not me, and tells me I like
- 42:18Speaker 2: to keep us. I like to keep what I care
- 42:20Speaker 2: about offline. I ate that shit up, easy, girl, we
- 42:28Speaker 2: love you though. It's okay. It feels good when it
- 42:31Speaker 2: feels like somebody love you. Okay. So now here's where
- 42:34Speaker 2: it gets ugly. Oh it ain't ugly yet, Okay. One night,
- 42:39Speaker 2: I'm scrolling TikTok and I see a girl doing to
- 42:42Speaker 2: get ready with me to make dinner for my man. Video.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I click her page for no reason and it's his apartment,
- 42:49Speaker 2: save couch, same kitchen, saint bare ass walls. I scroll.
- 42:55Speaker 2: There are months of videos cooking for my boyfriend. Day
- 42:58Speaker 2: night with my man, soft life with my part I
- 43:01Speaker 2: confront him immediately. He says I'm jumping to conclusions. Then
- 43:05Speaker 2: he says she's his ax. Then he says they're working
- 43:08Speaker 2: on things. Then he finally admits they live together and
- 43:12Speaker 2: have been together for three years. How the fuck you
- 43:16Speaker 2: ain't see no roomnants of no woman in there? Like
- 43:18Speaker 2: it's hard? He wants to be, like, I don't know
- 43:22Speaker 2: because I at one time.
- 43:23Speaker 1: No weekend, but at night during the week, like, how
- 43:26Speaker 1: many you over there?
- 43:28Speaker 2: Yeah? And where was she at she wants to be
- 43:30Speaker 2: a nurse because I remember my nigga tried me like that,
- 43:32Speaker 2: a traveling nurse. Yeah, anyway, so he says, and have art.
- 43:39Speaker 2: So they've been together for three years. He tells me
- 43:41Speaker 2: he was planning to leave but didn't expect to meet
- 43:43Speaker 2: someone like me. He says. I make him realize what
- 43:47Speaker 2: he really wants. He says he didn't tell me because
- 43:49Speaker 2: he didn't want to lose me. Meanwhile, she thinks they're happy.
- 43:55Speaker 2: So I blocked him. Then he cash at me five
- 43:58Speaker 2: hundred dollars with a note, can we please talk? I
- 44:01Speaker 2: accepted it, of course. Then I blocked him again. The
- 44:05Speaker 2: worst part. I'm mad at him, but I'm also embarrassed
- 44:10Speaker 2: because the signs were slapping me in the face and
- 44:12Speaker 2: I chose vibes over logic. Please tell me how to
- 44:16Speaker 2: recover my dignity in the new year. Well, at least
- 44:20Speaker 2: you ain't still fucking him just at your house now,
- 44:23Speaker 2: so we're proud of you for them. Yeah, you gotta let.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Him go, you know what I'm saying. If he's not
- 44:29Speaker 1: married to this person on kids and all that, if
- 44:31Speaker 1: there's no like extra baggage, maybe once he reads that situation,
- 44:35Speaker 1: he can spend the block on you. You happen to
- 44:36Speaker 1: be available, but you you gotta let him go. We
- 44:40Speaker 1: be over Look, fun, what are you talking about? You
- 44:44Speaker 1: saw you felt something wasn't right, and you could tell
- 44:48Speaker 1: us you clicked on somebody page randomly if you want to,
- 44:51Speaker 1: I feel like your ass.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, you found her randomly. It's billious up people on
- 45:00Speaker 2: TikTok and somehow you just found itch randomly. Girl. So
- 45:04Speaker 2: the truth, it's okay when you judging, you was looking
- 45:06Speaker 2: for her and you found what you was looking for.
- 45:09Speaker 2: But it's all about what you're gonna do with that
- 45:11Speaker 2: information after you find it. So I applaud you for
- 45:14Speaker 2: blocking him and taking the money. Don't send that money back.
- 45:17Speaker 2: And if y'all be like, I don't even want his money,
- 45:19Speaker 2: I hope y'all rich, because if you're not rich, keep
- 45:21Speaker 2: the money, girl, But block him and leave him alone.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Because there's just so many people out here, so many
- 45:29Speaker 2: decent men. You don't have to put up with that,
- 45:31Speaker 2: and don't come to second to no bitch in twenty
- 45:33Speaker 2: twenty six period.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Man, men just lack of integrity. You know what I'm saying,
- 45:38Speaker 1: because you can literally tell a brand new woman exactly
- 45:41Speaker 1: what you got going on, and she might stolt you
- 45:44Speaker 1: as a fuck with you just because you were honest.
- 45:47Speaker 1: But would y'all love to put you out put women's
- 45:49Speaker 1: lives in your hands by lying right for no reason
- 45:54Speaker 1: to a stranger, because he would lose her. Like you
- 45:58Speaker 1: don't even know me to even care about really losing me.
- 46:00Speaker 1: You're just selfish here.
- 46:03Speaker 2: And what did he get you for your birthday? Because
- 46:05Speaker 2: if he can't shave a few one hundred dollars, I
- 46:07Speaker 2: mean five hundred dollars, and I'm sure he got you
- 46:09Speaker 2: he sposted just a drink. I want to know what
- 46:12Speaker 2: to gift for us, dick, because his mouth.
- 46:19Speaker 1: At the house that night, I don't know. Man, Listen,
- 46:23Speaker 1: we choose an ease. Anything is that is confusing, get
- 46:27Speaker 1: away from it, because relationships do not have to be
- 46:30Speaker 1: that hard. We make them hard. Right the minute we
- 46:34Speaker 1: see some bullshit, get up out of there, because you
- 46:35Speaker 1: know who's doing it. Men are getting the fuck out
- 46:38Speaker 1: of there the minute you do some shit they don't like. Right,
- 46:41Speaker 1: they're not putting up with half the ship we be asking.
- 46:43Speaker 1: They ask us to put up with. Getting out of there,
- 46:46Speaker 1: So just be like a man in that way. Don't
- 46:49Speaker 1: listen Steve Harvey with the other bullshit in his book,
- 46:52Speaker 1: he let him be like a man and set boundaries
- 46:58Speaker 1: and and somebody is stually, you know, stepping over those boundaries.
- 47:02Speaker 1: You get the ass up there.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Because all you're gonna end up with is Itchikucci because
- 47:08Speaker 2: her bacterio. That's what baking, looking cute, walking around seat
- 47:18Speaker 2: pus And you had to listen in a grocery store,
- 47:23Speaker 2: your kuchie itch that's not fun. You're kind of.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Scratching discreetly, list greatly, rubbing your thighs, legs together, pulling
- 47:33Speaker 1: your leggings up, pulling your leg girl, we ain't doing
- 47:39Speaker 1: that shit, Okay.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Not this year. No Itchikuchi behind a nigga. This year.
- 47:44Speaker 2: We're not doing it.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Life, man, Such is life. Such is life.

- 48:07Speaker 2: and we might have some new ones, hopefully not. But
- 48:11Speaker 2: hopefully we just share y'all's and not ours. In twenty
- 48:13Speaker 2: twenty six, I.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Had a dumbist story in LNG Tide, y'all, I just

- 48:31Speaker 2: your last last?
- 48:33Speaker 1: No dumb bit shit in twenty twenty six?
- 48:35Speaker 2: Period.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Do everything that feels good to you, Okay, that's relationships,
- 48:40Speaker 1: that's love, that's business. It has to feel good. That's

- 49:05Speaker 2: on Monday, and then we didn't talk for two weeks.
- 49:08Speaker 2: You know, it's two weeks before we had an episode

- 49:31Speaker 2: not gonna get anything in return for someone. You never
- 49:33Speaker 2: know how you might make somebody day just by being
- 49:36Speaker 2: kind to them, but most importantly, be kind to yourself.
