  Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man

  Speaker 1: o man o man grateful for it comes with a

  Speaker 1: huge amount of responsibility. I didn't really know I was

  Speaker 1: gonna have to be this responsible, you know. Can I

  Speaker 1: share something with y'all? I started out to Finally I

  Speaker 1: had gotten on track and was able to see a

  Speaker 1: way to even pursue my dream. It has been a long,

  Speaker 1: a long trip that I've been on, and I've gone

  Speaker 1: through so many phases of it. It is rewarding along

  Speaker 1: the way to accomplish your dreams. What I'm saying is this,

  Speaker 1: let me, let me put it together, because I got
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: so much running through my head right now. You know,

  Speaker 1: it's it's one thing to accomplish your dreams, but there's
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: joy in the process of achieving it. See, some people
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: are so caught up in the goal, the final goal,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: that they find no joy, no enjoyment in the process.

  Speaker 1: If you have found what it is you want to
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: do and you strike out on that journey, please understand
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: you are far more blessed than the average person to
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: know what it is you really want to do, to
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: find your work in life, your purpose, to find out
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: what direction you want to go in is such a blessing.

  Speaker 1: The average person, if you sit down and talk to them,
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: oftentimes don't have their life on track. And it'd be
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: some people that you looking at you think, God it
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: going on because of their appearance, their swagger. Oh they
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: walk like it, they talk like it, they look like it.
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: But if you sit down and talk to the average
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: per the average person man does not know what their
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: purpose is, has not discovered what they want to do,
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: and have no idea how to get there. If you
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: are on the other side of that, if you understand
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: your purpose, if you have an idea of what you
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: want to be, and you are on your way there,
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: you are truly blessed. And in that blessing you must
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: recognize it as a blessing. You must recognize the fact
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: that you are on the right side and that there
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: should be a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: pride in you that you are on track to accomplish
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: your goal. See what used to happen was sometimes I
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: used to keep my nose so on the grindstone that
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: I wouldn't even look up and realize. Man, hey man,
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: I know you're trying to get here, but Steve, hold on, Man,

  Speaker 1: can't you see what you've done so far? Can't you
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: find just some joy in the process. See, a lot
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: of us lose the joy of a blessings God has
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: given us because we looking at the end talking about
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: I ain't there yet, you on your way. I'm gonna
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: give you an example. I had a friend who told
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: me that they wanted to be a millionaire. And they
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: asked me some questions and I told them, so they
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: started the process. And I am telling you, this dude
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: works extremely hard. So about a year later we were talking.
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: He had found this business, he had set his goal,
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: and he was working towards it. Then about two years
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: later I ran up into him again. We were talking
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: about it and everything. He said, Man, really really appreciate
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: the advice. He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.

  Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: is coming. He said, Man, keep at it. Man. You
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: know how long I've been doing this been two years now.
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: to myself. Yeah, two years he said, Man, I've been
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, its just it ain't happening for me.

  Speaker 1: I said, wait a minute, man, holld on, hold on.

  Speaker 1: I said, about how much you making right now a year? Man?
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: About two hundred and fifty thousand. I quit breathing. I said, well,
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: my man, two years ago you didn't have a clue.

  Speaker 1: Two years later, you making a quarter of a million dollars.

  Speaker 1: I said, man, do you understand how blessed you are?
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: I said, ma'am, your family was about to get put
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: out two years ago you done bought a house. Yeah, man,
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: but this ain't the house. I really won't. Oh, oh, partner,
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: whoa I got that? I got that the house you
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: really won't make Mike call fired eight million. I don't know.
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: But man, y'all got a house, you making a payment,
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: you drive it. You ain't out no more? I said,
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: old man, you got to stop. I said, you got
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: to stop. I said, man, because right now, man, you
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: you coming across. That's real ungrateful to me. And so
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: he said, man, why are you tripping like that? Man? Man,
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: you act like don't nobody want to have nothing but you?
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: I said, whoa man, Where are you going with this conversation?
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: I said, Oh, I didn't come to you. I just
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: came to you and asked you how you doing. And
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: I'm trying to point out to you that the journey
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: that you started on, that you are on your way,
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: and you are in the process of accomplishing your goals.
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: And can you not feel some joy and some pleasure
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: in your accomplishment. Quit tripping on the fact that you
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: ain't made a million yet. You on your way. You
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: done went from he thog. This dude was making fifteen
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year. You making quarter of a million
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: dollars in two years. Man, Come on, man, can't you
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: see can't you see? So? He said? Eventually, Ah, man,
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: I kind of see what you saying. But that ain't
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: about nothing to me because I ran up into him
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: a year and a half have later. How you doing, man, man,

  Speaker 1: I shore wish I'd appreciated my life when I had
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: it like that? I said, what you mean, had it
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: like that? Man? Just fell on some hard times man,

  Speaker 1: right back where I was, And then we talked. I said, Hey, man,
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: don't worry about it. I said, once you know how
• 6:18
  Speaker 1: to accomplish something. I said, you just reapply the same
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: principles and start on over again. Man, you know how
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: hard it is or be to start over. Okay, my man,
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: Hold up, pardoner, you've been do yourself like this again.

  Speaker 1: First you wasn't grateful for what you had. Now you're
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: looking at the fact that you might have to start over,
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: and you know how hard it is to start over.

  Speaker 1: Maybe God said, Okay, you ain't happy with this. Okay,
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: didn't handle it your way? You obviously ain't happy with
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: the way I'm bringing it into your life. You want
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: to handle it your way. Go ahead and handle it
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: because he will let you have it your way. Can
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: I tell you that he will let you do it
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: exactly the way you want to it because he gives
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: us all the power choice. So then maybe he said, Okay,

  Speaker 1: I appreciate the way I'm doing it. You don't like
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: the favor I'm showing you. You think it's taken too long.

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you do it your way. I'm not
• 7:06
  Speaker 1: gonna turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: you do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: said that, and now he right back where he was.

  Speaker 1: So what I tried to get the young cat to
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: understand was man, appreciate your life for what it is,
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: because like life. Jennings got that song that he got
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: out off this album. Still, I still believe it could
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: have been worse, and now that it is worse. What's
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: on your mind now, folks? If you are on that
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: side of life where you have figured out what you
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: want to do, you know how you're gonna get that,
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: and you know your purpose. You're accomplishing what the majority
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: of people never ever do. So be grateful for your process.

  Speaker 1: Don't tumble yourself, don't throw yourself off the cliff. It's
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: gonna be all right. Success takes a measure of time.

  Speaker 1: It is not easy. If success were easy, everybody would
• 7:57
