- 0:06Hello, What's your least favorite scary movie?
- 0:10I ain't got time to bleed. You got time to duck?
- 0:13Welcome to watch your Least Favorite Scary Movie, The
- 0:15podcast where we talk about the good, the bad, the ugly and the
- 0:18absurd, and all of our favorite and least favorite scary movies.
- 0:20Because we believe every horror movie rightfully has its fan
- 0:23base. Even if we don't always get it.
- 0:25My name is Travis. My name's Jesse.
- 0:26And it's time for all of us to collectively.
- 0:29Get to the chopper. Because we are talking about
- 0:33Predator this week, everybody. Yeah, we're getting getting
- 0:38real, real good with our shit this week.
- 0:41OK, cool. Just as I am with that.
- 0:44Word sentences going I wasn't either.
- 0:46I was like Michael Scott. I was like, sometimes I just
- 0:48start a sentence and I don't know where it's going and.
- 0:51Way, way less of a thrilling sentence than that story you
- 0:54were telling me last night at dinner about going to a
- 0:57restaurant with your class. Just to learn how to do
- 1:00properly. Just to learn how to properly
- 1:01eat. The restaurant that was located
- 1:03in a hotel so I filled trip to another state.
- 1:07I forgot to mention that part too.
- 1:09This is wild. Last night, guys, the way he was
- 1:12telling me this. OK.
- 1:13So yeah, we're talking about Predator this week.
- 1:15So that's what we're going to be getting into here in a little
- 1:18bit. But before we do, do we have
- 1:20anything we need to announce? I don't think so actually.
- 1:26No bonus episodes or anything. We did just do a recording for
- 1:29another podcast, but that's not coming out until October, so
- 1:33we'll let you know about that in a little bit.
- 1:36OK, well I have our poll results from last week's movie, which
- 1:40was Winnie the Pooh Button Honey, and we just wanted to
- 1:44know. We apparently stumbled upon the
- 1:47age-old question did not do this in.
- 1:49Yeah, we did not know that this has been an ongoing debate on
- 1:51the Internet. It's just something that we like
- 1:53asked on the episode and we had a lot of people chime in on
- 1:57this. So are the stripes on piglets
- 1:59torso Tommy, is that just his tummy or is that a tank top that
- 2:03he's wearing? So over on Instagram, 78% say
- 2:07tank top, 22% say Tommy, and on Twitter, 64% say tank top and
- 2:1436% say tummy. So everybody agrees with me that
- 2:18this, well, not everybody, but my theory wins that it's a tank
- 2:21top. That's not 'cause there's no
- 2:23striped pigs out there in the world, and Joe also said that
- 2:26too. So like multiple people have
- 2:28that thought. OK.
- 2:30But if you look at the original books by A.
- 2:32A Milne The illustrations that are in there even when
- 2:35everybody's Nike, he's got stripes on them.
- 2:38Well, he might be the only one that's not Nikki.
- 2:40I'm telling you, his little baby piglet wrinkles.
- 2:43Babies have babies have fat rolls.
- 2:45Pigs have fat rolls. That's what it is he's got.
- 2:47He's got them sweet little baby piglet fat rolls.
- 2:50Those are not fat rolls. They are they.
- 2:52Are not. You're just going to go in there
- 2:54and you wouldn't? OK, all right, let's stop
- 3:01getting weird. That's how I keep.
- 3:03Getting weird. OK, so Predator released June
- 3:0712th, 1987. We watched it on our Blu-ray
- 3:12courtesy of Chad. Thank you Chad for giving us
- 3:15this Blu-ray, because we had never seen this movie until you
- 3:18finally insisted by handing us a copy of it and say watch.
- 3:22It yeah. You made our lives better.
- 3:25I mean, you make our lives better by being our friend, but
- 3:27you definitely made our lives better by putting us in an era
- 3:30where we have seen Predator. However, other wap shop watch
- 3:34options include streaming on Hulu or Fubo TV.
- 3:38Or as Chad said, you can hit him up because he somehow always
- 3:42ends up with extra copies of Predators.
- 3:44So if you, any listeners know Chad and you need to copy, he's
- 3:48your he's your guy. He's he's got like a shit ton of
- 3:51coffee, some predator for. Some reason.
- 3:53Written by Jim Thomas and John Thomas.
- 3:56Directed by John Mcteeran, music by Alan Silvestri and special
- 4:01effects makeup by Al Desarro with the creature design by Stan
- 4:06Winston. Stan Winston.
- 4:09Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch, Carl Weathers as Dylan
- 4:14Alpita, Carlio as Anna, Bill Duke as Mac, Jesse Ventura as
- 4:19Blaine, Sonny Landon as Billy, Richard Chavez as Poncho and
- 4:24Shane Black as Hawkins. OK, All right, Jesse, time for
- 4:29our favorite game on the show. Budget or budget?
- 4:34I feel like it would be cheating for me to guess on this because
- 4:37I heard you watching the special features when I woke up this
- 4:39morning. I woke up right when they were
- 4:41saying what they're talking about.
- 4:42Yeah, wow. OK, so.
- 4:45Just for the game, we still gotta play it.
- 4:47Is it a budget or bug 10? I mean, Arnie's biceps alone are
- 4:52probably about worth 10 million I'd say.
- 4:55So I'm gonna go with budget. OK, it is budget.
- 4:58Not quite as budgeted as I would have guessed, though.
- 5:00It's only a $15 million budget. Wow.
- 5:04So they made a lot with little OK as they said.
- 5:08They said most action movies you're lucky if you get by with
- 5:1250 million like but 15 they made it work I.
- 5:15Know. And that's really surprising me
- 5:17because I just keep We even said this last night.
- 5:20Like I kept thinking of Tropic Thunder.
- 5:21I know. Yeah.
- 5:22And like all the explosions and them being in the jungle.
- 5:25And I remember it was like a whole report about how much
- 5:27money they wasted messing up the explosion shot.
- 5:30Yeah. With Danny McBride.
- 5:33Opening box office was $12 million and the worldwide gross
- 5:37was 98 million. Hell yeah.
- 5:38One of the highest IMDb scores we've had on the show 7.8.
- 5:43You know what? Yeah.
- 5:44Yeah, I get it for sure. But I was shocked to see like
- 5:47this, have that, have a score. OK, so I have pulled 3 movies
- 5:53from 1987 to compare this to. OK, they're not going to be
- 5:57anything like Predators because there's not a lot of horror
- 6:00movies out there that were like this at the time.
- 6:02OK, but since I like the cast of this movie so much, I decided to
- 6:06pick 3 movies with what I consider interesting casting
- 6:10decisions. OK, I like this theme and I'm
- 6:13very curious to see what you consider interesting casting
- 6:16decisions. Well, First off, we have Blood
- 6:18Harvest, which stars tiny. Tim, I was going to say that's
- 6:22the Tiny Tim movie, right? Yep.
- 6:23Tiny Tim. He plays a clown and he walks
- 6:26around with a little ukulele and he's kind of he's killing
- 6:29people, but also just kind of being Tiny Tim.
- 6:31Just tiptoeing through the tulips.
- 6:33Just tiptoeing through the tulips.
- 6:34OK, Yep, that released January 1st, 1987.
- 6:38Don't have budget or gross information, but I do have the
- 6:41IMDb. I bet it's on that episode of
- 6:44Last Draw then. And it probably is.
- 6:46They even had like a conversation with Tiny Tim
- 6:48recorded on there because he talked about it.
- 6:50He's a strange man, but the IMDb is 4.5 out of 10.
- 6:54OK. Next up Jaws, The Revenge.
- 6:58OK. And we need to like start
- 7:00introducing you to the Jaws sequels now that you've seen the
- 7:04the original and loved it so much.
- 7:06It was great. I am very curious how your
- 7:09journey will go through the franchise, because I know what
- 7:12you like in horror movies, but I also know that you get your
- 7:15expectations set from the first one.
- 7:17So I know that these get really ridiculous and dumb as they go.
- 7:20OK. Especially this one right here
- 7:22I've heard a lot about. OK, so this is the 4th entry in
- 7:25the JAW series. The person that I thought was
- 7:28interestingly cast in this is Michael Caine.
- 7:32Michael Clyke. There you go.
- 7:34He he famously says yeah, this is a terrible movie, but it
- 7:37bought my fucking house, so you know I respect it.
- 7:41That released July 17th, 1980. Seven $23 million.
- 7:45Budget Worldwide gross 51 million.
- 7:49Bruce Bruce doesn't get out of bed for less than 10 million.
- 7:53It is Michael Caine. Apparently IMDb score 3 out of
- 7:5710. Yeah, that's the lowest of.
- 8:01All our movies here. All right.
- 8:03And the final movie? Doom Asylum?
- 8:08Speaking of Chad. Speaking of Chad, Chad and Joe,
- 8:12both of y'all y'all got us. Well, no, because Chad and Mandy
- 8:14tricked Joe. Yeah.
- 8:16And then Joe? And then Joe, he joined their
- 8:18coalition. Yeah, it became a Joe Illusion,
- 8:21if you will. A Joe.
- 8:24Yeah, so that's a weird little movie.
- 8:26That one I chose because it has, I think her name is Patty
- 8:29Jenkins. She is the girl that plays
- 8:32Frankenhuper. The reason why I have her as an
- 8:36interesting guessing decision is those are the only two movies
- 8:38she ever made. It's also got freaking What's
- 8:43her face from Sex and the City? Yeah, it does.
- 8:45Oh my God, you're right. Even more.
- 8:48God, what is her name? I don't know.
- 8:50She's in an episode of Seinfeld also.
- 8:51Charlotte and Sex and the City. Oh, she's the one that he drops
- 8:55her to her toothbrush in the toilet.
- 8:56That's her. Yeah.
- 8:58That. Really, I can't.
- 8:59Remember her name? I've never seen Sex in the City,
- 9:01so I don't know, like I wasn't focused on her for this.
- 9:06But that, I mean, that kind of goes with my theme here.
- 9:08So that did help. That released October 28th,
- 9:111980, seven $90,000 budget and a $476,000 worldwide gross.
- 9:17Will you cover this on TV or not to be several months ago, It's a
- 9:22weird episode. It it is, definitely listen to
- 9:26the episode and make your own call if you want to watch the
- 9:28movie or not. I think everybody.
- 9:29I think everybody, it's an experience, yeah.
- 9:31You have to live through it and then make your own call.
- 9:35Even though it's we said that we were tricked into watching it by
- 9:38the Joe election, we we do recommend other people watch it
- 9:41because it is a fun movie, I will say.
- 9:43That yeah, I wanna, I want to do an edit of it.
- 9:46I think if I could get it down to 45 minutes it'd be really
- 9:49fucking solid. Yeah, I think that, yeah, Fan
- 9:51edit 4.6, that's an IMDb score for that.
- 9:55Higher than jaws. I know entire than Blood harvest
- 9:58also OK so tag lines, so I'm just going to go to the phone.
- 10:05Oh yes, I love that. Some of them might be the ones
- 10:09the type that you don't like. Well, I'm definitely, Once you
- 10:12get to that point, that's what it is.
- 10:14What the hell is that paragraph? What?
- 10:16This right here? That's what I'm saying.
- 10:18OK, hold on. OK, so the one that is on the
- 10:21poster is Soon the hunt will begin.
- 10:24OK, I'd argue the hunt already be in but.
- 10:27Well, you know, on the way into the theater and you see that,
- 10:30like soon the Hunt's gonna begin, you know?
- 10:32Yeah. Next up, if it bleeds, we can
- 10:35kill it. That's a good tagline.
- 10:37Yeah, and it's a line from the movie and it's, you know, the
- 10:40cracks to them, you know, forming their plan.
- 10:43So. This movie works.
- 10:44A lot of the quotes can be pretty much just like used as
- 10:48tag lines for a. Movie thing?
- 10:49Oh, absolutely. Nothing like it has ever been on
- 10:52Earth before. I mean, I like that.
- 10:57I think that is pretty, pretty good, because then you go in and
- 11:00you're like, oh, something weird is happening.
- 11:02Like we already know something weird is happening, but like,
- 11:05because like not having any signs of an ambush plan, stuff
- 11:09like that. It's spooky.
- 11:10It is spooky. Yeah.
- 11:11I like this one too. It came for the thrill of the
- 11:13hunt. It picked the wrong man to hunt.
- 11:17I'd argue he picked the best man because we'll get to it.
- 11:21But at the end where he was like, I'm not even going to
- 11:23shoot you. We're this fighting.
- 11:24Yeah, that's true. Yeah, here's the long one.
- 11:28In a part of the world where there are no rules, deep in the
- 11:30jungle, where nothing that lives is safe, an elite Rescue Squad
- 11:34is being led by The Ultimate Warrior.
- 11:36But now they're up against the ultimate enemy.
- 11:39Nothing like it has ever been on Earth before.
- 11:41It kills for pleasure, it hunts for sport.
- 11:44But this time it picked the wrong man to hunt.
- 11:47OK, so that just feels like the voice over guy for.
- 11:51Trailer Yeah. In a world.
- 11:54All right, here we go. We cannot see it, but it sees
- 11:57the heat of our bodies and the heat of our fear.
- 12:00Heat of the. Mind In this movie, Arnold will
- 12:06experience every meaning of the word pain.
- 12:09That one's weird. I mean, yeah, but like he's,
- 12:12that just implies that he's just aren't.
- 12:14Which I mean, granted, I I love the man, but he's not.
- 12:17This isn't much. Most acting.
- 12:20For no, not really, But he does experience all of the meanings
- 12:24of pain. Yeah, he's betrayed by his
- 12:26buddy. He gets hurt a lot.
- 12:29Physically. Emotionally.
- 12:30Yeah. Psychologically, yeah.
- 12:32He has to see the He's the only one that sees the predator's
- 12:35face, so that probably hurt his like eyeballs.
- 12:39Shattered his whole world right there.
- 12:41Yeah, aliens. Yeah, he is damaged.
- 12:43Existentially, yeah. So, yeah, I mean, you know what?
- 12:46You've convinced me. Yeah.
- 12:47All right. Cool.
- 12:48Yeah. Hey, I didn't.
- 12:49The tagline. Didn't.
- 12:51I'm just trying to. I'm speaking the good word.
- 12:53That's all I'm doing. OK, so it's time for fun facts.
- 12:57OK, so the original plan for this movie, it was going to be a
- 13:01brotherhood of hunters from another planet, but they decided
- 13:05that would work, so they changed it to be just one hunter.
- 13:08OK, so is that why that line in the beginning is maybe missed?
- 13:12Where it says there's six sets of U.S.
- 13:16Army boot prints walking away instead of just it could.
- 13:19Be It could be, yeah, they could.
- 13:22One of the things I was reading about this is like, they
- 13:25apparently had a lot of rewrites done through this, but they
- 13:29ended up just going with the original draft.
- 13:31Okay. Apparently that's like a thing
- 13:33that happens a lot in Hollywood. You do it just so appease the
- 13:36producers and the execs and then like, no, we're gonna go.
- 13:39Shoot the original show, but actually.
- 13:42But yeah, so it was like also hunting the most dangerous
- 13:45species, man. And also, like, they wanted that
- 13:48to be like a commando dude. The most dangerous game.
- 13:51Exactly. It's pretty much the most
- 13:53dangerous game here, except for Aliens.
- 13:54Yeah, Billy's actor Sunny. The studio would not allow them
- 13:59to hire him unless they hired A bodyguard.
- 14:03Bodyguard's not for Sunny. Bodyguard is for everybody
- 14:06around Sunny because apparently Sunny is known for having a
- 14:10terrible temper and he's a super violent dude.
- 14:13So they hired this gigantic 68 man just to follow him around
- 14:18everywhere on set. That way he can make sure that
- 14:21he was not going to get into any fights.
- 14:23I. Hate that because I love his
- 14:24character. I know his character is great,
- 14:27but apparently the dude is kind of problematic.
- 14:30Oh man, that's something I. Know, right?
- 14:33They were brought in a week prior to meet with a military
- 14:37trainer, so they were able to go over movement and hand signals,
- 14:41stuff like that. Jesse Ventura is actually a Navy
- 14:44Silva, so he knew all this stuff so he like.
- 14:47Like seems like you could have just let me do this guys.
- 14:50He he flew through this thing. Everybody else struggled hard.
- 14:54He was like, yeah, I I don't think I'd want to go into actual
- 14:57combat with these guys here, but I'd make a movie with them, is
- 15:00what he said. They actually shot in the
- 15:03jungle, so that was all real. But they made a comment that the
- 15:06jungle is not exactly cinematically interesting.
- 15:09There's not a lot of like a horizon there.
- 15:12Like you don't really see much because it's just all like trees
- 15:15and leaves and stuff. Let me tell you guys, I'm green,
- 15:18brown, colour blind. We've discussed this on the
- 15:20podcast before. This was a fucking nightmare for
- 15:23me, like trying to take note, 'cause there were times that I
- 15:25legitimately didn't see people in the screen because of their
- 15:28camouflage and their face paint. And I'm like, oh God, there's a
- 15:32person there in the corner. Yeah.
- 15:34Can we catch me off guard? It's a little bit too effective.
- 15:36Yes. So like in order to make things
- 15:39a little bit more interesting, they would climb up in the trees
- 15:41and they would cut the leaves out to create like a little
- 15:44setting and have like a little bit more of a horizon visible.
- 15:46That makes sense. And then they also built fake
- 15:48trees out of foam just to be able to like, you know, pretty
- 15:51up the place a little bit. And they also shoot some of that
- 15:53stuff up. So it's kind of cool the
- 15:55predator. Paradise and put up a fake
- 15:58paradise. To achieve the camouflage look,
- 16:02Speaking of camo, for the Predator, he had to run around
- 16:06in a giant red suit. So I'm gonna show it to you
- 16:10after this, but look it up. It's like it looks so weird.
- 16:14It's like the shape of the Predator, but it's this red
- 16:17fuzzy suit that they're having around.
- 16:19It's. Kind of like a green screen type
- 16:20situation. Yeah, OK, that makes sense.
- 16:22They. Chose the red because it stands
- 16:24apart from all the greens and stuff like that.
- 16:26And I use green screen because that's the common language term,
- 16:30but yeah. No, I know, Yeah.
- 16:31But that's specifically why they said red, just because it
- 16:34contrasted with all of that there so well.
- 16:37And then to do the thermal vision, they had to do 2
- 16:42different shots with the camera in the exact same location.
- 16:45So they kind of like had this device where it rigged the two
- 16:49cameras. One would shoot like actually
- 16:51like the background with like the chroma all the way down.
- 16:53And then the other one kind of had like the like the thermal
- 16:59sensitive, like the thermal vision, so they could overlay it
- 17:03and combine the two to make like that vision because you gotta
- 17:06have the thermal for the actual person and then you have to have
- 17:10the actual background there for you know that part of his
- 17:13vision. That kind of explains because
- 17:16there were several times, so it was like this doesn't look like
- 17:19realistic thermal vision, so. Yeah, no, it's definitely like a
- 17:22made-up thing. Okay okay.
- 17:24Which, I mean, yeah, I kind of waved it away, cuz sci-fi.
- 17:26But yeah, exactly. Yeah, the DVD actually has a
- 17:31whole thing of the profile of the Predator, and you can go in
- 17:35there and it examines all of its gear and tells you exactly what
- 17:38it does. Oh cool, yeah, I didn't write
- 17:41any of that stuff down here, 'cause that's a lot.
- 17:42But you know, like it is out there if you wanted.
- 17:45Yeah, so if you hit chat up for a yeah chat, it's got you
- 17:48covered. Predator.
- 17:50Make sure to check that out. OK, so there were actually two
- 17:55different types of designs for the Predator.
- 17:57They had an original one. They got out there, shipped in,
- 18:00opened it up, got it out. And everybody was so
- 18:04disappointed with it. It was tiny.
- 18:06It had one large eye, kind of looked like a little dinosaur.
- 18:11The director said, like, I didn't want to do it.
- 18:13I shot two shots with it and then I just like, shipped it
- 18:17back. And I called these like, sounds
- 18:18like, look at this. Is this what you guys actually
- 18:20want us to use? And like, no, we don't want that
- 18:22at all. So the course corrected, phoned
- 18:25up the man, Stan Winston. Stan the man.
- 18:28The one and only. You know he did.
- 18:31He also worked with Arnie on Terminator.
- 18:33He did Pumpkinhead. He's got the Stan Winston School
- 18:36of Design. This man is legendary.
- 18:39He yeah, he The reason they went with him is because Arnold also
- 18:43like, really liked working with him before.
- 18:45They're actually friends because they worked on Terminator
- 18:48together. So he suggested him.
- 18:51They called him up, got him over there.
- 18:52He designed this amazing monster that we get for the movie.
- 18:56He bases it off of Russ Safari and Warrior.
- 18:59So that's why has a dreadlocks kind of thing.
- 19:03I always wondered. One of the guys, when he was on
- 19:05a slide over there and he was just doing sketches, He's like,
- 19:08you know what, I think it'd be kind of cool to see a monster
- 19:10with mandibles. And then Sin went and said OK,
- 19:12bet. And then he just like actually
- 19:14Drew Mandibles on there. He's like, yeah, that looks
- 19:16fucking dope. Yeah, it is really scary when
- 19:18you see when the Predator takes off that that face armor, it's.
- 19:24Yeah, I know, right. And they had to recast the actor
- 19:29that was going to play the Predator, because I was reading
- 19:32originally, it was gonna be God, what's the fuck?
- 19:38I can't remember his name, Van Damme.
- 19:42Jean-Claude Van Damme. Jean-Claude Van Damme.
- 19:44Yeah, he was gonna be the original actor, but apparently
- 19:47he was on set and complained the entire time about the costume
- 19:51and how I like it. Nearly made him pass out when he
- 19:53was wearing it. And he was also 59 and he did
- 19:57the smaller build of it. But this next one.
- 20:00It was huge. They wanted to tower over
- 20:02Arnold, so they hired this guy. Let's see, what was his name?
- 20:07Kevin. Do you?
- 20:09Do we want to get him a full name?
- 20:10I'm gonna give him, I'm gonna give his full name, 'cause this
- 20:13guy was pretty awesome, Yeah. He did, really.
- 20:16He did really good, like body work, which is pretty impressive
- 20:18considering that he isn't always on screen as the Predator.
- 20:22Yeah, like. Kevin Peter Hall is his name,
- 20:25and they cast him. He's like 7 feet tall, gigantic.
- 20:30So this is just a set of tall men.
- 20:33Yeah, tall. Anchor issues and some with
- 20:36extensive military, like specialized military training?
- 20:39Yeah, exactly. So it's a scary set.
- 20:42And apparently they said that the Predator suit weighed 200
- 20:46lbs. Holy shit, that's a whole other
- 20:49human. They had to like rig like a
- 20:50bungee like situation on that to be able to like give him, you
- 20:55know, I mean, he's like a giant dude.
- 20:57This guy was massive, like he's like towering over Arnold.
- 21:00But yeah, £200 is a lot for anybody, I don't care who you
- 21:03are. They actually ran out of money,
- 21:06also in the middle of production, and they had to stop
- 21:09filming, which the director actually said was a blessing in
- 21:13disguise because it allowed them to stop, review the footage that
- 21:17they had, reshoot the things that they wanted to do and like
- 21:21just make the movie better overall.
- 21:23Like they were able to like, collect and make adjustments.
- 21:25Later, they saw they were needed.
- 21:27And apparently he said, like, that's how a lot of directors
- 21:30like to do it too. Like, apparently Woody Allen,
- 21:33that's how he shoots all of his movies.
- 21:34Like, he shoots some of it, stops, edits, puts it together,
- 21:37and he's like, OK, we need to do this, this, this.
- 21:39Well, and we should all take advice from Woody Allen, not.
- 21:43Really. But maybe when it comes to
- 21:44movies. I've never seen a Woody Allen
- 21:46movie, but apparently, like, he makes good movies.
- 21:48From what I've been told, I don't.
- 21:52Know good movies? Bad life traces.
- 21:56So yeah, that is pretty much. Oh, and also Speaking of the guy
- 22:00that played Predator, the director wanted to make up to
- 22:05him for making him wear the suit and be like miserable the entire
- 22:08shooting. So he gave him like a part with
- 22:11his face on screen too. And he's one of the guys that is
- 22:14in the chopper that picks them up at the end of the movie.
- 22:17OK. Yeah, so he thanked him for that
- 22:19and at least got him on screen like that too.
- 22:23So yeah, that's my fun facts. Cool.
- 22:26All right, so let's get into talking about this.
- 22:29Yeah, Yeah. Jesse, what do you like about
- 22:31this movie? Oh man.
- 22:32So it starts off you feel like you're going to be watching like
- 22:35a typical kind of action war movie.
- 22:39And it very quickly becomes spooky because they like land in
- 22:43the jungle. They've got this like mystery
- 22:44going on. You can tell that something's
- 22:46following them and it's there's a little bit of suspiciousness
- 22:51with Dylan joining, even though he doesn't do these kinds of
- 22:54missions anymore. Like, we've got all of these
- 22:56elements that are coming together to make a really spooky
- 23:00atmosphere. I also really like the music.
- 23:04It's very hairy. Manfredini meets Danny Elfman.
- 23:07This music for this, it's such a nice touch.
- 23:11Yeah, and like even like the little like sounds like a just a
- 23:13sound design, even for when you get into the Predator vision.
- 23:16Yeah, the little the clicking that I tried really hard to do
- 23:20last night and couldn't emulate. I was reading about that.
- 23:22They asked the guy like to come up with what that sound would be
- 23:26for The Predator and they're like, OK, I don't like they did.
- 23:29They were hesitant to show him what it looked like.
- 23:31And then they finally, you know, let him see it.
- 23:34He's like, oh, that kind of looks like a crab.
- 23:36And then he had a memory of when he was little.
- 23:38And there's this, like, type of crab that he would take.
- 23:40And if he would, like, flip it over on his back, it would make
- 23:43that sound. So he's like, oh, OK, I'm just
- 23:44going to make it make that sound.
- 23:46Dude, that's awesome. Yeah, it's kind of like
- 23:49impressive, the amount of detail and thought that went into the
- 23:52creature for this thing. I also think we just get like a
- 23:55good sense of who the characters are, so they're not just cannon
- 23:59fodder. And I think it really helps too,
- 24:01because they are meant to be an elite squad, so they should have
- 24:05kind of like a way of interacting with each other that
- 24:07feels natural. So I think they did a really
- 24:09good job with that and like and I said this isn't Arnie's best
- 24:12acting, but I do appreciate that they gave him one liners because
- 24:15my Mr. Freeze can deliver A1 liner like no other.
- 24:20He improvised some of them. He improvised the stick there.
- 24:23Stick, stick with her. Stick with it.
- 24:26And then he like walks into a room with Noel and he goes knock
- 24:29knock. Yeah, it's great.
- 24:31Yeah, He delivers so many good lines on this.
- 24:33Yeah, it's just it's a really good, like, it's it's an
- 24:37interesting story. The character is frightening
- 24:41because it is just, it's just hunting for pleasure.
- 24:45And I think that like, 'cause it's not really eating it or
- 24:47anything, It's taking trophies and the trophies or the humans
- 24:51themselves, not like when we think of like human serial
- 24:55killers that take trophies, you know, they take like watches and
- 24:59stuff like that. Like this is.
- 25:00Some people take pieces like body.
- 25:01Parts. Some people do, yeah.
- 25:02But like this is I just, it's it's a really well told story.
- 25:08I agree. And I just, I have some and it's
- 25:10just you don't really have like you've got the highs and lows
- 25:14with it to keep it interesting, but it doesn't ever really like
- 25:18drag. Yeah, it doesn't.
- 25:20Yeah. No, I agree with a lot of what
- 25:22you said. I love the stalking that the
- 25:26Predator does. Like when we get those shots of
- 25:29the Predator vision and it's just like the thermal and it's
- 25:32just creeping and watching them from a distance.
- 25:34Like it? Watching the scorpion die in its
- 25:36hands. Yeah, that was so.
- 25:38That was such a cool, like, yeah moment.
- 25:41It was. This movie has some of the most
- 25:44amazing set pieces too. When they are tackling the
- 25:49refugee or not the refugee, the guerrilla camp, so many
- 25:52explosions, the stunts that they had there were incredible.
- 25:56They were like actually firing real rounds.
- 25:59I think like that gallon gun, the painless is like straight up
- 26:04a real gun. And they gave it to Jesse
- 26:05Ventura because he can handle it, because he's an experienced,
- 26:08you know? Yeah, and I over I overheard the
- 26:11special features when you were watching it where they were
- 26:13saying like they made a point of putting every single one of the
- 26:15actors involved directly in the action at some point.
- 26:18So with the audience feels in the action.
- 26:20Yeah, yeah, it was so cool. It's so well done.
- 26:23I love the characters in this movie.
- 26:25Arnold's character is so great. I like the final showdown a lot
- 26:28between them because I respect the hell out of the Predator.
- 26:31Just like going like. With his shit like he is
- 26:34personal drunk woman at the bars taking out her earrings.
- 26:39I love it. It's awesome.
- 26:42He's like, you know what, man? Let's get personal with this,
- 26:44like, take off all my gear. I'm fucking you up.
- 26:46I. Love that moment, cause at first
- 26:48I was like why is he walking away?
- 26:51Like why would he leave Arnie? Like he can't be that
- 26:53intimidated by him and then he's like, no, no fisticuffs, my
- 26:57friend. I mean, this movie is just so
- 27:01much fun to watch. Like, I just, I was smiling the
- 27:04entire time. Zoe was having the time of her
- 27:07life with all these explosions. I mean like just fun characters,
- 27:12fun story. Like, I don't know, it's it's
- 27:14just a great thing to watch. OK, So bad stuff.
- 27:18It's kind of hard to think of bad.
- 27:20Yeah, I think probably all the stuff with Anna.
- 27:25She doesn't get it and want it to shine.
- 27:26Yeah, it's it's kind of like and I get that they are taking her
- 27:30because she's got intelligence that they want, but like the
- 27:34whole like taking hostage of, you know, this, like it's just
- 27:38confusing the way it's done and it feels kind of like it's meant
- 27:42to be in there. So that way she could give some
- 27:44of the background on, you know, things that have been happening
- 27:48and stuff which like I get it, you have to have a character to
- 27:51do that. But it does feel very like that,
- 27:54you know And guess what? Still not passing the Bechdel
- 27:58test. Yeah, I mean, she's just, yeah,
- 28:03she's just there to kind of serve as like, yeah, this is the
- 28:06shit that's going down. Yeah, Yeah, I I would have liked
- 28:10to have had more moments of her to like actually have a moment
- 28:15like shine a little bit, 'cause, I mean, she was, she's capable.
- 28:18She's part of the guerrilla group, you know what I mean?
- 28:21Yeah, yeah. Which is like ends up being
- 28:22Arnie's point later when he takes off her handcuffs or
- 28:26restraint or whatever you want to call it.
- 28:28Yeah, I mean, like other than Arnold's acting, But the thing
- 28:33with Arnold's acting, like it kind of has a charm to it.
- 28:36I mean, you see his sweet little smile and you're like, damn it,
- 28:41I understand why he's the leader.
- 28:42You know what I mean? Like.
- 28:44I just love how he's like one of the guys, like reminds me of
- 28:48Afghanistan. He's like, you remember and he's
- 28:50like, remember I'm trying to forget.
- 28:52And he's like smiling the entire time.
- 28:54I'm like, Arnold, you're not supposed to be smiling during
- 28:56that. That's PTSD.
- 28:58Yeah, but he's. Like he's like.
- 28:59I love this. I was like, he looks really good
- 29:02in red. Who?
- 29:03Arnold. Yeah.
- 29:04Is he wearing? Rope.
- 29:05Yeah, The beginning when they come in on the Yeah, you're
- 29:07right. Yeah.
- 29:08And I'm like, Dang, that's a good color for you, man.
- 29:11I love that He's just like, smoking those stories the entire
- 29:13time too. That's so fucking cool.
- 29:16Yeah. I mean, I really don't have much
- 29:18else bad to say about this. I mean, like, I know the
- 29:21Predator gets like not a whole lot of screen time, but that's
- 29:24because it's kind of camouflage most of the time.
- 29:26Yeah, and that's what and like, and that's what makes it scary.
- 29:30Like us seeing just enough glimpses to know that this is
- 29:33something otherworldly, but also maybe not, you know, maybe it's
- 29:37somebody with like, thermal style, you know what I mean?
- 29:40It keeps just enough mystery there for us until we see like
- 29:43the effects of it, you know, jumping invincible through the
- 29:47well jungle. I mean, we know it's an alien
- 29:49from the very beginning. We see the spaceship.
- 29:52Well, yeah, but. I I already forgot about it
- 29:55there being a spaceship, so yeah.
- 29:57A like one just from the pod at the beginning of the movie, but
- 29:59for them, like it kind of puts you in the moment if you're
- 30:01following them. Like, see, I'm the type of
- 30:03audience member that you can throw something like that at the
- 30:05beginning and I will forget about it, Yeah, yeah.
- 30:09Yeah, OK, Ugly. I'm going to say Hawkins's pussy
- 30:16jokes. Yeah.
- 30:19And also like Blaine, using some slurs at the beginning that I'm
- 30:23not a fan of. Yeah, both of those are what I
- 30:27was used to. It was funny hearing Shane Black
- 30:30talk about like going to the theater to watch this with his
- 30:32wife and she was not amused with this.
- 30:35Jokes. He's a he's a Rider.
- 30:38He wrote the Predators movie that came out in the 20 Tens.
- 30:45He wrote Iron Man Three also and nice guys.
- 30:48Dude, he brought nice guys. And like all of the Lethal
- 30:50Weapon movies. Wow.
- 30:52Yeah, like they actually, in the special features, they cast him
- 30:58to kind of like trick him into doing a rewrite of the script.
- 31:00Yeah, they're like, well, since you're here and they didn't use
- 31:05this thing and he didn't write, he's like, no, I'm not doing
- 31:07that, but I'll act like. Yeah, yeah, nice guys.
- 31:11Not a movie will ever cover on this show because it's not
- 31:13horror, but it's a good movie and you should watch it.
- 31:15Yeah, it's a fun movie. Yeah.
- 31:17All right. Absurd.
- 31:18What is absurd about Predator? Again, I got to go with the
- 31:24thermal stuff. It's just not realistic.
- 31:27Him just covering himself with mud is not going to be enough to
- 31:30block the predator from sensing his core body heat unless he was
- 31:33actually approaching hypothermia.
- 31:35Speaking of that, he also has the thermal vision.
- 31:37Without the helmet on, like, we get to see what he's looking at.
- 31:40When he takes it off, he's like still thermal, like, why?
- 31:43So what's the helmet there for? To protect his feet.
- 31:46Or something else, I don't know, but maybe.
- 31:48It's part of, like, his camouflaging.
- 31:49It could be I I just thought it was like also giving him thermal
- 31:52vision. But no, he's like, no, this is
- 31:54just how I see, yeah. Yeah, so I'd, I'd say that.
- 32:01And also, what's his name? Dylan getting his arm shot off.
- 32:07They just. Shot off.
- 32:08Yeah, I like that. Then it's the same one that he
- 32:11was doing the arm wrestling. With Yeah, Arnold.
- 32:14With that, like, famous meme that everybody's got.
- 32:17Yeah, it's so. Good.
- 32:18My absurd moments are also. Can we talk about arm wrestling
- 32:22midair? That's not how arm wrestling
- 32:24works. No.
- 32:26You're supposed to put your elbows because you gotta have
- 32:27the equal position. OK anyway.
- 32:31Maybe it's like a another like type of arm wrestling or
- 32:34something like when you get to a certain swollenness, like that's
- 32:37kind of the established, I don't know.
- 32:40Also them trying to imply that Dylan ever had as big of muscles
- 32:43as Dutch. They actually had a competition
- 32:47on set about who had the biggest arms.
- 32:50Arnold tricked the wardrobe person and had them measure
- 32:55Jesse Ventura's arms and tell them that he was an inch bigger
- 33:00than Arnold's arms. So like, whenever he found out
- 33:03about that, he went to Arnold and he's like, hey, was like,
- 33:06what do you guys think? We should all just, like,
- 33:07measure each other's arms? Like, you know, compare.
- 33:09It's like, yeah, yeah, that'd be a great idea.
- 33:11And then, like they actually measured and Arnold was 3 inches
- 33:13bigger than his. Arnold, you sneaky little
- 33:17printer. Yes, Schemer.
- 33:19They had like, a whole, like, workout competition thing too,
- 33:21apparently. Like they took it fucking
- 33:23seriously. Dude, Arnold's wild about
- 33:26exercise. He compares getting a good pump
- 33:28in at the gym to orgasming. They would.
- 33:32They would wake up at 4:00 AM, go lift weights, eat, run for an
- 33:37hour, go out, shoot the movie, come back home or back to set or
- 33:43wherever they were staying, work out, run another hour, then
- 33:47sleep. And that.
- 33:49That was their life on set. Yeah, all right.
- 33:53My absurd for this is the tense scene when Max just decides to
- 33:58break out a razor and shave his very already cleanly shaved
- 34:02face. I believe you mean he's shaving
- 34:05his temple. I think he's shaving the sweat
- 34:07off of his face because, like, that guy sweats a lot.
- 34:10He's just one of those guys. Like, that's a human.
- 34:11Oh my God, I think he's a sweater.
- 34:13Yeah, I think he's just trying to like, shave it off and then
- 34:16just cuts himself. Like he didn't have a a
- 34:19handkerchief, so he's just like, squeegee.
- 34:23Yeah. OK.
- 34:24So what do you rate this? God, I think this is a 10.
- 34:28It's too good to give it a lower rating and it's so enjoyable.
- 34:32I think I agree, man. This is a 10.
- 34:34It's just so much fun. I know that there's a debate out
- 34:37there about whether or not this is a horror movie, but I 100%
- 34:41believe it's a horror. Movie.
- 34:42Absolutely, absolutely. It's definitely got it's action
- 34:46here than a lot of horror movies, but it's definitely got
- 34:49the they're being stalked through their woods by a killer.
- 34:52I mean, it's one of those ones. Like it starts as your typical
- 34:54action movie and then it tricks you into becoming a horror
- 34:58movie. Like, I think it's like a
- 34:58Subversion type thing. Like it's kind of all part of
- 35:01the original vision, is what I thought.
- 35:04Yeah. OK, so let's let's get into
- 35:08talking about this one. OK, support for what's your

- 35:49the trimmers that have not exactly been kind to our jewels
- 35:52before, but. Yeah, you wouldn't think that an
- 35:54electric trimmer should cause any kind of bleeding that's
- 35:57supposed to be for straight razor.
- 35:59And yes. Well OK, we're not all out there
- 36:03using the little razors like Mac was in this movie.
- 36:06OK, sometimes we need something like the lawn mower.
- 36:09Five Point O Ultra, because it's the 5th generation trimmer
- 36:12features 2 interchangeable Next Gen. skin safe blade heads, a
- 36:14standard one for taking a little off the top, and then a new foil

- 36:34while you were trimming up your face because you can use the
- 36:37trimmers on your face as well. That's true.
- 36:39The blade guards, we talk about the easy carrying bag that we've
- 36:43got for this and how I appreciate that the underneath
- 36:46of our sink isn't a disaster. I'm very big on organization and
- 36:50it's great. But even better than that is
- 36:52that we don't have to pile 10 million different trimmer heads
- 36:56in there. You know, the blade guards to
- 36:58get the right kind of length for what you want because it's three
- 37:01in, one for each trimmer guard exactly.

- 37:06want it to be. It's so nice.
- 37:07Yeah. Like, yeah, like it's nice to
- 37:09have like an all in one type blade like that.
- 37:12Yeah. It's also waterproof so you can
- 37:14get into the shower and not make a mess like that.
- 37:16It can all go down the drain, which everybody appreciates not
- 37:19having to clean up. That's one of the worst parts of
- 37:21shaving. And I'll be honest, I've used it
- 37:23on my armpits just to just to see if I liked how it felt as
- 37:26well. And I do it in the shower.
- 37:29It works. Yeah, it works.
- 37:31And it makes it makes clean up both of the hair trimmings and
- 37:34of the razor itself a lot easier.
- 37:36Yeah, trust us. This trimmer will be your crown
- 37:39jewels new best buddy. Or it's face, your face.
- 37:42Your face might love it too. Yeah, or your armpits.

- 38:19Show your balls some love and feel free as a dove.
- 38:25Now it's time for us to run Go to the chopper.
- 38:30In outer space. Where no one can hear you
- 38:33scream. Yeah, so sorry.
- 38:35That will be much later on down the line.
- 38:37Yeah. We'll, we'll get to that one,
- 38:40dude, we gotta have a crossover. I know.
- 38:42We gotta, we gotta figure out a good way to do that.
- 38:44Yeah. Okay.
- 38:45Anyways, so outer space. We see a spaceship flying by and
- 38:50a pod launches from it, shooting it down towards Earth.
- 38:52See. And I did not write very many
- 38:54notes about this. And as we've already
- 38:57established, I immediately forgot.
- 38:58About that, yeah, I was. Like, oh pretty stars, oh
- 39:02orbiting thing. So now we get the chopper.
- 39:06It's flying over the ocean, lands and the crew exits, and
- 39:09then Arnold is the last one. Now he's lighting up A.
- 39:11CR Hold on, Chopper over water plans on beach Spitty Boys
- 39:17inside, Arnie lights up before getting out like a cool guy.
- 39:21Yeah. He is cool, man.
- 39:24He like, yeah, I feel like he was like he's getting style
- 39:26points right there. Like I said, I would follow this
- 39:29man. He's.
- 39:30Probably like, Hey guys, hey boys, we're gonna be meeting
- 39:33Dylan over here. I gotta look real.
- 39:34Cool. Like you guys don't even
- 39:36understand Dylan's the best. He's probably, he's probably
- 39:39gonna try and arm wrestle me, Yeah.
- 39:40And. Like, I'll make him think he's
- 39:43gonna win, but don't worry. Don't worry about it guys.
- 39:47All right, so they're talking about a lost chopper 18 hours
- 39:51ago. The general's telling Dutch that
- 39:53they were lost. They figured that it's somewhere
- 39:55in enemy territory. They want to get the hostages
- 40:00saved. And they're like a star squad.
- 40:04They're like they specialize in rescues and they very
- 40:07specifically do not do assassination missions.
- 40:11Yeah, they're pretty much like mercenaries are just like, yeah,
- 40:14they're just brought in. No.
- 40:15Kill mercenaries. Yeah, except they kill a lot of
- 40:18people in this, so. Collateral damage, yeah.
- 40:22OK, so then we get to see Dylan. He's like Dylan, you son of a
- 40:25bitch. I promise I'm not going to be
- 40:28doing Arnold impersonations the entire that's.
- 40:30A promise he's not going to keep Fellows I'm.
- 40:32Going to try, but yeah, I love their when they meet back up and
- 40:37they like, do like they lock arms and then they start to have
- 40:40that arm wrestle and he's like, oh, the CIA kind of getting you
- 40:44weaker by pushing too many pencils.
- 40:46Yeah, so they're having this whole like, moment.
- 40:49It's established that they're babies and it's nice to see them
- 40:53so excited to see each other, which makes the betrayal coming
- 40:56up all the way. And Dylan's like, I'm going with
- 41:00you. He goes, you know, our team
- 41:01always works on he goes not today.
- 41:04And he's like, it's Dylan. I trust you implicitly.
- 41:08Yeah. Famous last words.
- 41:10So now they're flying in, they're gonna back up.
- 41:13Playing on the radio is kind of like nice for background here,
- 41:17and Mac is like singing it later, right before he writes
- 41:20it. Oh yeah, I didn't even notice.
- 41:23That yeah. So I was like, cool, This is
- 41:24Max. I like.
- 41:26Mac and Billy are my two favorite from this crew.
- 41:29I I like this whole scene of them writing in because I feel
- 41:33like it's perfect for establishing our group of guys
- 41:35here. And they all have like that.
- 41:37It's all like the stereotypical crew from an action movie.
- 41:39Yeah, so Billy isn't putting up with Hawkins's misogynistic
- 41:43bullshit jokes. He just kind of stares at him
- 41:46until he shuts up. Blaine makes a really
- 41:50distasteful joke and also implies that gay men can't be
- 41:54Tyrannosaurus Rex lovers. Just the cure to homosexuality
- 42:01is chewing tobacco. I don't.
- 42:03Understand. Very problematic.
- 42:05Yeah, like Okay, yeah. Not a fan of Blaine or Hawkins
- 42:10immediately from this ride over. I do like the idea of Hawkins
- 42:16being a guy that's just trying to tell these jokes and they
- 42:19just don't win with anybody. I imagine Hawkins is a virgin.
- 42:24Probably, yeah. He's the nerdy guy.
- 42:26He's the Jay Bear show of Tropic Thunder.
- 42:28Nerds can have sex. Hello.
- 42:31We're married. Well, I.
- 42:32Know, but I'm just saying like he's the nerdy that he's he's
- 42:35that guy in this race. Yeah, he's the He's the Jay Bear
- 42:38Show. He's the He's the person that's
- 42:40not supposed to be, like a part of this piece.
- 42:42Yeah. OK, so let's see what else?
- 42:48They arrive at the location, yeah, they drop into the jungle
- 42:51and they find a crash chopper in the trees.
- 42:53And this is dropping into the jungle.
- 42:54It's so cool. They look like little spider
- 42:56webs, spiders coming down from their webs which as much as it
- 42:59freaks me out every time I see it happen, I am very amazed at
- 43:02how quickly a spider can shoot silk out of its butt and also
- 43:05maintain control like. I just saw I think where I see?
- 43:08It it's. Farting.
- 43:11I don't. Know what if Oh my God, do you
- 43:15think spiders ever accidentally fart when they're releasing
- 43:18their web? And it's, like, embarrassing?
- 43:19You know, like when Talia jumps on the couch and farts and she,
- 43:22like, fits her ears back. I mean, honestly, I'm just
- 43:24wondering, do spiders fart and like just in general?
- 43:28My guess is probably no, but we're way too far off topic here
- 43:31I. Mean they have a digestive
- 43:33track. Look, we're off topic here, OK?
- 43:36All right. So they take a little grappling
- 43:38hook and they climb up into the chopper to check out the scene.
- 43:42It looks like it was a surveillance bird, and they find
- 43:45that like heat seekers are what took it out.
- 43:48Yeah, supposedly they thought it was.
- 43:51They were led to believe that it was like a transportation
- 43:54chopper, like taken soldiers somewhere.
- 43:56But then they're saying that it's surveillance and they also
- 43:59notice that stuff is missing. So they think that two were two
- 44:05were taken because there's a third dead in the chopper
- 44:07already and they see six pairs of U.S.
- 44:10Army boot footprints trailing. Yeah, trailing the Guerrilla
- 44:14Footprints. So it's not the guerrillas that
- 44:16took the the army items. They they think it's a secondary
- 44:22group. Yeah, Dutch is kind of confused.
- 44:25He has to always. Like, I thought you said nobody
- 44:27else was in here. And then there was like, well,
- 44:29it must have been one of the rebel patrols.
- 44:31So you're kind of already getting like Dylan might not be
- 44:34telling the truth here. Well.
- 44:36Because Dylan's with the CIA and like, I mean their whole thing
- 44:41is that they've got information that they keep super, super
- 44:45fucking classified. Well, I mean, he's also just
- 44:47trying to deceive these guys and didn't want to give them the
- 44:49full. Picture Well, that's what I was
- 44:51gonna say. Like they keep their shit super,
- 44:52super classified and they need to get things done, whatever it
- 44:55takes. And a lot of times that does
- 44:56mean lying, even lying to your own men.
- 44:58Even to your best bubby. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:01So this is where I have to know. Trying to forget Afghanistan
- 45:04with a smile. So Billy drinks from a branch of
- 45:11Vine. I am not.
- 45:12Yeah. What kind of tree is it?
- 45:15I don't know. Do you just drink from trees
- 45:16like this? It might be one.
- 45:18I think some trees have like a little bit of water stored in
- 45:21them. Yeah, okay.
- 45:23Sorry. Hunger Games.
- 45:24They do that, yeah. And this common in jungles, I
- 45:26guess, but I don't know. It's just wild to watch it
- 45:29happen. And then what happens?
- 45:32He hears some flapping sounds, so he goes to investigate.
- 45:36He climbs up in the trees and finds 3 like.
- 45:39Skinned up bodies. I'm glad that they use the word
- 45:41skins later, 'cause I wrote degloved and I was like, does
- 45:43that apply to an entire body? Because I forgot about the word
- 45:46skinned I mean. Yeah, I mean, that's one way to
- 45:49say it. Like they got degloved.
- 45:51But yeah, it's just like their skin.
- 45:53And it's just nasty. One of the dog tags is on the
- 45:56ground and it says Jim Hopper. Is that where they get the name
- 46:00for Hopper in Stranger Things? It's got to be like the whole
- 46:03series is homage to 80s. Yes, I feel like it has to be
- 46:09he, he Dutch knew him. Hopper was a Green Beret out of
- 46:13Fort Bragg. And those guys are like, it's
- 46:15the Army version of like the Navy Seals, like they're the
- 46:18badass, like they go on all these different missions,
- 46:21special training, special testing to become a part of so.
- 46:25Billy can't find any tracks for who did this either, so they're
- 46:28really confused about what the fuck is happening.
- 46:30Yeah, 'cause Dutch is like, well, they must have been
- 46:32ambushed. And Billy's like, there's no
- 46:33trace of any ambush in and no trace of anybody leaving, yeah.
- 46:39So. Dylan is out of shape and loud.
- 46:43That's what I wrote, and Mac does not have fucking time for
- 46:47it. He's like, I will bleed you,
- 46:49motherfucker. I will.
- 46:51No, I love this line. He's like, I'll bleed you real
- 46:54quiet. Leave you here.
- 46:56It's just like, damn. OK.
- 46:57I'm sorry. You also get, like a little bit
- 47:01of Predator vision. So we see that the Predator is
- 47:04actually watching them from where they are and like up in
- 47:06the trees, painless is unleashed also by Blaine.
- 47:10And he's starting to get the heebie Jeebie.
- 47:12So he's like, all right, we're going to have to get the, the
- 47:14fucking reinforcements out. Yeah, so he's.
- 47:17Got to have his. Cat.
- 47:19OK, this guy got his cat all right.
- 47:21So they stumble upon the enemy base.
- 47:23It's the guerrilla base. They all kind of like slow crawl
- 47:27up there and Dutch peeks over and he sees them with a prisoner
- 47:31of war and they assassinate the dude.
- 47:33Yeah. So he calls all of the people up
- 47:35there and tells them to get into position.
- 47:37So they split up and they sneak in, Dutch starts the kind of he
- 47:45makes way for everybody else to sneak in by getting a vehicle
- 47:49going and setting it off its tracks.
- 47:51I think it was already running. I think it was like acting as a
- 47:54generator for the place. Yeah.
- 47:56So he like lifts it up and causes it to roll into a
- 47:59building which for whatever reason must have been rigged
- 48:03with explosions because the place just explodes massively.
- 48:07I'm sorry, do you not remember anything from Halloween to if a
- 48:10vehicle hits something or someone?
- 48:12Instant explosion. They might have been tramer in
- 48:16there. It just made just very slight
- 48:18contact with them and it's just like.
- 48:21Top secret U.S. government building is just putting out Ben
- 48:25Dreamer clones and sending them into sending them into enemy
- 48:29territory. And this is one of my favorite
- 48:32parts of the movie. So everybody just goes fucking
- 48:35nuts. They get all the guns out, They
- 48:37start unleashing hell. Explosions everywhere.
- 48:40They completely ground a chopper so it can't fly away.
- 48:43Some of them are trying to fly away in it.
- 48:46Arnie has some lame 1 liners and I love it.
- 48:50You guys know that I've said multiple times Batman and Robin
- 48:53is one of my favorites and I will say at least 75% of that is
- 48:58Arnold Schwarzenegger is Mr. Freeze.
- 49:00Just Arnold being Arnold, man. Like he just makes movies.
- 49:03Good. But we also can't forget the
- 49:05sermon as Poison Ivy. She's the other 25%, now she's
- 49:0923% and then 2% is Bat nipples. So that's that's the breakdown
- 49:15of why everybody should love that.
- 49:17Awesome. Coolest girl as Batgirl.
- 49:19Alicia Silverstone. She's great.
- 49:21She's great in that, too. Yeah, she actually.
- 49:23She's really, she's really solid.
- 49:26All right, so they're infiltrating the place.
- 49:27Dutch makes it into the encampment, and he manages to
- 49:31knock out one of the people there.
- 49:32This ends up being Anno. Max says, hey boss, these
- 49:37hostages were all CIA and their captors were Russian, which is
- 49:42really weird where we're at. Yeah, it's really weird too that
- 49:47some of the people down there were speaking Spanish and then
- 49:50others were speaking Russian. So there's like a mixture of
- 49:53people down there. I think the Spanish yeah,
- 49:56that's. And I didn't bother to look up
- 50:00which particular. And here's The thing is the US
- 50:03is always meddling in something, so it doesn't even necessarily
- 50:07have to be a major war that's going on.
- 50:09No, Yeah, at this. Time that they're referencing
- 50:11it's. Probably just on like a Spanish
- 50:13speaking location is where. Yeah, we don't get a location,
- 50:18do we? OK.
- 50:19And this is also where we get the line where it's Mack and
- 50:23Blaine together and he's like, you're bleeding.
- 50:25He's like they ain't got time to bleed.
- 50:27You got time to duck. And guys, duck is Talia's
- 50:31sleeper agent. Word it has been since she's a
- 50:34puppy. She doesn't like ducks.
- 50:35She doesn't trust them. She has a moral like
- 50:39predisposition against ducks, and when Max says you got time
- 50:43to duck, Talia started fucking barking at the TV.
- 50:46She was not feeling it. She was.
- 50:48She was very mad about that. All right, so everything's
- 50:50calmed down. Dutch realizes that this is a
- 50:53setup from Dylan, so he confronts him on it.
- 50:56Apparently they ended up stopping an invasion by doing
- 50:59this. Yeah, it's a very like like a
- 51:03trolley problem type thing. In his head he was like, we're
- 51:05looking, you know, the the the end result is more lives are
- 51:09saved. Like, yeah, I did something
- 51:11shitty, but like, it was like, for the greater good.
- 51:14Essentially, yeah, that's what he's trying to say.
- 51:16But Dutch is, you know, obviously very betrayed because
- 51:19they thought they were doing a rescue mission and they were
- 51:21turned into assassins, which is not their.
- 51:24It's not the job that they all thought that they were signing
- 51:27up for. They were OK with needing to
- 51:29shoot and explode if that's what they had to do to rescue their
- 51:31people, but they weren't going in there.
- 51:33With that, yeah, that wasn't their goal.
- 51:36And Dylan kind of gets a little bit mean spirited with this.
- 51:40And he just tells me it's like you guys are in NASA, like, you
- 51:43know. You guys are expendable, yeah.
- 51:46And then he decides that he's going to take Anna as his
- 51:49hostage, and Dutch says I will have nothing to do with it.
- 51:51She is yours to deal with. Mm hmm.
- 51:54So the Predator is watching them again.
- 51:55Mm hmm. Mack calls to Dylan over and
- 51:58he's like, hey, Dylan, come here.
- 51:59And then he slowly walks over. He's like, turn around.
- 52:02So he slowly turns around. And then Mack takes a knife,
- 52:06stabs Dylan right on the shoulder.
- 52:08And you think it's going to be like a betrayal, But Nope,
- 52:10there's a fucking scorpion on his back.
- 52:12Top three Fears Top three fears I.
- 52:17But it's bad ass, man. I fucking love how he's like get
- 52:20over here, Like he just fucking stabs it like that, which.
- 52:23This is me. This is how I feel every time in
- 52:26the summer when we're outside and you're like, hey, come here
- 52:29and turn around and I know that there's a bug on me.
- 52:31I just know. I know that's what's happening.
- 52:34So this being a scorpion is like extra nightmare fuel for me.
- 52:38They have to take a path out because their rescue chopper
- 52:42won't come in this close and the path according to Billy, is
- 52:45really bad. And apparently that's like
- 52:47Billy's big thing. So they're all like, well, that
- 52:49sucks because we believe you. That is bad, but they have to
- 52:51go. I like this moment though, when
- 52:53they're on their way out. Well, when they're on their way
- 52:55out, the predator swoops in like picks up the scorpion just to
- 53:00look at it, which is kind of fucking creepy.
- 53:02But also Hawkins tells another big pussy joke to.
- 53:06Billy. Billy.
- 53:07And then, like, there's a pause there.
- 53:09And then he was at this gigantic laugh, and that's what the
- 53:12Predator walks in. He like, records it.
- 53:14Yeah, that's fucking creepy that he like, like, replays the audio
- 53:18from all of his, like, squad mates.
- 53:20I think, yeah. And I think Billy's brain broke
- 53:23in this moment and he just, like, he just couldn't process
- 53:27his emotions, so he had, like, inappropriate laughter.
- 53:29I refuse to believe he actually thought that the joke was funny.
- 53:32I think he did. It's one of those ones where it
- 53:34kind of becomes an anti joke eventually, where you're just
- 53:36kind of laughing at how stupid it is.
- 53:38You know what? I mean, yeah, I wouldn't say
- 53:42it's an anti joke. I'd just say it's not funny.
- 53:44You're not laughing at it for the reasons that you should.
- 53:46Yeah, laughing at it because it's stupid and his delivery is
- 53:49bad. Yeah, exactly.
- 53:50And I think I kind of felt like Hawkins was leaning into that.
- 53:54I was like, yeah, I know this is stupid, but yeah, OK, So they
- 53:58kind of hesitate. Billy spooked.
- 54:01And I like how, Yeah, Dutch is like, Billy spooked.
- 54:04What happened to him? Yeah, he said.
- 54:06He's never. Scared.
- 54:07I like things so. They're frightened by the, he
- 54:09says. Frightened Billy spooked.
- 54:11Been acting squirrely all morning.
- 54:13Damn knows of his or something. Apparently this guy like he's a
- 54:18natural for. Like.
- 54:19Sniffing out and just finding trails or tracks or just
- 54:22anything suspicious. Out in the wild, danger, like
- 54:25all of that. Like, he's a good, he's a good
- 54:27person to have on, you know, a rescue team.
- 54:29Yeah, really. He's just out there and he's
- 54:31staring into the trees. And then as this is happening,
- 54:34we see Anna. She grabs the.
- 54:36Stick. Yeah, she hits him.
- 54:39Yeah, she and she hits him. She makes an escape at him.
- 54:42Hawkins grabs her so, but as that happens, the predator
- 54:46swoops in and grabs Hawkins and drags him away.
- 54:48Yeah. So Poncho gets her.
- 54:52She's fucking freaked out and they want to know what happened.
- 54:55So they ask her and they say that she's not making much sense
- 54:58with her answer, but it's basically she's saying the
- 55:01jungle came alive and dragged him away.
- 55:04Yeah, so when they catch her and they go to look for Hawkins's
- 55:08body, they just find what I referred to as a bloody meat
- 55:11mess. Yeah, but it wasn't like enough
- 55:13to be a body. So they decide that they're
- 55:15going to go around and look for him.
- 55:17Like I was like, did you find Hawkins is like, I don't know,
- 55:20like it's just like. A.
- 55:21Which is a bad, bad answer to hear, yeah, in that moment.
- 55:26It's just like a like a fucking pile of flesh.
- 55:29Yeah, Dutch sends. The squad to go get the body,
- 55:31you're like, all right, we need to get his body, so everybody
- 55:33split up and let's go get it. Yeah, his weapons and his radio
- 55:37were left by the bloody neat mess also.
- 55:39So they're like, that's weird. It clearly isn't like a
- 55:42guerrilla fighter because they would have taken our stuff.
- 55:47We get a shot, though, and we see that he's up there in the
- 55:49trees. He's yeah, And he's getting
- 55:52deskinned. Yeah, it's skin is about to
- 55:55become a lot less stable on its own, so Blaine gets shot and
- 56:02killed. Yeah, the arrows, the predator
- 56:06arrows, they shoot him right through the chest.
- 56:08And Mack kind of like sees him because he sees like the
- 56:11shifting in the trees. And like, from his perspective,
- 56:13it's kind of like when you're, you know, like when you're
- 56:15grilling and the heat's coming off the grill.
- 56:16Yeah, distorts things. That's what it kind of looks
- 56:19like. Uh, huh.
- 56:19And he, like, gets that vision of it.
- 56:22So he goes chasing after it just because, like, him and Blaine
- 56:25were buddies. Like, that was his best.
- 56:26Yeah, right there. And he's shooting wildly and he
- 56:29says contact and everybody comes around it and they just trust
- 56:34him and they're shooting. Too.
- 56:35I love, though, that he takes payments.
- 56:37Hundreds of rounds. Yeah, I just like how they're
- 56:40like, let's just fucking shoot the jungle.
- 56:41Like they just shoot everything there, yeah?
- 56:44And then they go and they check to see if there was a trace of
- 56:47anything because they obliterated everything.
- 56:49But Billy doesn't find any trace at all.
- 56:52However, Anna happens to see green little radioactive looking
- 56:56blood on the leaves. So.
- 56:58And they see the wounds on Blaine and he, they don't have
- 57:02any, like, powder residue. And they're already, like,
- 57:04thoroughly cauterized. And they realized that they hit
- 57:07nothing except for, like you said, Anna sees the blood on on
- 57:12a branch. So they take Blaine's body, wrap
- 57:15it up in his poncho, and then they decide that they're going
- 57:18to set up traps. Kind of like a little tripwires.
- 57:23It's all Dylan to get on the radio, too.
- 57:25So the Predator is doctoring its own wound.
- 57:28It's kind of cool to watch it do it, and I love that it's doing
- 57:31it with its massive claws. So next time you see somebody
- 57:34see a person with really long nails, be they acrylic or
- 57:38natural, don't ask them how they do fucking shit with it.
- 57:41Just watch Predator and watch it heal its own wound and be like,
- 57:44Oh yeah, sometimes people can just actually have dexterity.
- 57:47Yeah, I guess so. I just I hate as somebody with
- 57:49long nails. I hate it when people are like,
- 57:50hyping your content, how you wipe your butt.
- 57:52And I'm like this. These are really invasive
- 57:54questions. Yeah, those are really weird.
- 57:55Yeah. I like it's sad to see the scene
- 57:59with Mac when he's just saying goodbye to Blaine, though, and
- 58:02he, like, gives him one last ring from the flask.
- 58:04He swears his vengeance. No, I felt bad from it's.
- 58:10It's just so sad. Yeah, and they have to stay
- 58:12there for the night because the chopper won't extract them where
- 58:17their axe. They say the area is still
- 58:18compromised. Next contact will be in the
- 58:20morning and then Billy is kind of acting like the harbinger as
- 58:24well. So that doesn't do any good.
- 58:28And they put Mack on 1st watch, which I think makes sense
- 58:30because even though he's like kind of grieving the hardest
- 58:33over Blaine, he still has a lot of that adrenaline.
- 58:35And then once he crashes he's probably going to be crashed
- 58:37hard. So it would be a bad idea to put
- 58:39him on a later watch and have to rouse him, but.
- 58:41They're like trying to gather again what it was that they're
- 58:44dealing with. And Mack just keeps saying, like
- 58:46the eyes disappeared, like, I don't know what to tell you.
- 58:48Like there were eyes there and they just went away.
- 58:50So then they ask Anna one more time what happened to Hawkins
- 58:54and she just repeats the same thing.
- 58:57Juggle came alive and took him away.
- 58:59So Mack is attacked while he's on watch and they all hear him
- 59:02yelling and fighting something shooting and stabbing.
- 59:06So they chase, run after him and find him killing a wild boar.
- 59:11I mean, that boar was aggressive, though it tackled
- 59:13him. Yeah.
- 59:14So when they get back to camp, they're surprised to see that
- 59:16Anna's still there, but Blaine's body is gone and the Tripwire's
- 59:21never even got set off. So they're like, whoa.
- 59:25And they realized that it must be because whatever it is is
- 59:28using the trees. And the hostage says that it
- 59:33changes colors, kind of like a lizard.
- 59:36And she says that, you know, it was wounded before she reveals
- 59:42the blood. So that's when they decide that
- 59:43they're going to set more traps. I like how like Dutch is like,
- 59:46all right, I'm going to ask her myself, and she's like, cool,
- 59:48'cause I can speak English too, like she.
- 59:50Just, yeah. It was like, I've heard all of
- 59:52the shit you guys have been talking about this entire time.
- 59:55Yeah, basically cause Dylan's like we need to just try and get
- 59:59to the rendezvous point and Dutch is like it is hunting us,
- 1:00:03picking us off 1 by 1. We need to kill it.
- 1:00:07So there's. People for the choppers you pick
- 1:00:10up. Did you mention that Poncho got
- 1:00:12hurt because one of the traps got set off and it was the log
- 1:00:16and it swung down and hit him, So he's.
- 1:00:18A Yeah, I missed that. All right, so now they're just
- 1:00:23kind of being vigilant. Dylan hears a voice whisper to
- 1:00:26turn around though, which is creepy because you've seen
- 1:00:28already that the Predator can emulate voices.
- 1:00:31But he goes back there and it's Mack.
- 1:00:33Mack is just creepily getting Dylan's back the entire time in
- 1:00:37this movie. Yeah, he's shaved.
- 1:00:39This is where he's shaving his temple.
- 1:00:42And then he like, tells him he's like, look over there.
- 1:00:45I see it right there. And then like, you can see it in
- 1:00:47the distance. There's like that little, like
- 1:00:49waviness that you were talking about before it.
- 1:00:51The predator's just kind of up in the tree, just standing
- 1:00:53there. So Anna says that this has
- 1:00:56happened before, especially when it's hot out.
- 1:00:59And she says that it's a they all think of it as a demon and
- 1:01:02it makes trophy of men. So it's not like it's not
- 1:01:07hunting for food, it's hunting for sport and it's keeping them
- 1:01:09as trophies. Kind of like, you know when
- 1:01:11people hunt deer for sport? Or hunt, you know, fucking
- 1:01:15endangered species for sport. Oh shit, no.
- 1:01:19Well, hold on. We And then this is where a trip
- 1:01:21where it goes off, it explodes, the Predator escapes, and
- 1:01:25Poncho's wounded. So we are like way on different
- 1:01:29pages cuz I was way past that in my notes what I was talking
- 1:01:32about here. Yeah, no, I'm this is where I'm
- 1:01:34still at, no. OK, so after all of that, he
- 1:01:38calls Dylan over to tell him that's where the Predator is.
- 1:01:43And. Then he starts to crawl in over
- 1:01:45there to it, and then as it happens, he gets the laser on
- 1:01:49him and he's like, oh shit. And then it blows his head off.
- 1:01:52Yeah, it's so sad. Yeah, Dylan finds Max body and
- 1:01:58then he sees the predator himself and starts to shoot at
- 1:02:00it. But then the Predator shoots
- 1:02:01Dylan's arm off. Yeah, and then we just kind of
- 1:02:04hear an off screen yell and it's implied that he was killed.
- 1:02:06No. He pulls out knives and grabs
- 1:02:08him and just like straight up stabs him.
- 1:02:11Really. Yeah.
- 1:02:12OK. I missed that.
- 1:02:13I assumed that he lived longer, so I didn't.
- 1:02:16I didn't make a ton of notes. I just heard that his arm got
- 1:02:18shot off. The rest of the group is
- 1:02:21running. Billy, like, keeps himself back.
- 1:02:24Like he's like kind of using himself as bait or whatever.
- 1:02:27Yeah, he's. Going to take it on.
- 1:02:29Dutch gets shot and he just like falls off a Cliff and shoots off
- 1:02:33a waterfall it. Shoots Poncho.
- 1:02:35River. It shoots, No, They shoot
- 1:02:37Poncho's ear off, then it shoots Dutch.
- 1:02:40That's when Dutch yells at Anna and the rest of them to get to
- 1:02:43the Choppa, and then Dutch runs off.
- 1:02:46So they have all split up. That's when Dutch goes and he
- 1:02:50slides down the mountain and then he slides into the river,
- 1:02:53which then causes him to go down the river and then fall off of a
- 1:02:56waterfall. No, he like Boo Boo Boo Boo Boo
- 1:03:00Boo Boo, rolls down a Cliff to get to the river.
- 1:03:02He slides. It's OK.
- 1:03:04It's not. You're making it sound way more
- 1:03:06intentional than it. It's not controlled.
- 1:03:09No, I'm not saying I'm not meaning.
- 1:03:11It was like intentional. Like he accidentally slips down
- 1:03:14and he slides like he's not intentionally going off of a
- 1:03:16Cliff. I don't think anybody would be
- 1:03:18doing that other than Rambo. So.
- 1:03:20And as that's happening, the Predator actually is falling
- 1:03:22behind him. Yeah, it's like in the water.
- 1:03:24When he comes up at the Bank of the river, he's completely
- 1:03:27covered in mud and the predator can't sense his like surface
- 1:03:31level heat. So he's kind of like camouflage.
- 1:03:35That way we see Billy is dead, Dutch decides that he's gonna
- 1:03:39make some weapons and he prepares to fight the Predator.
- 1:03:43And when the Predator approaches, they've got like a
- 1:03:45little bit of like a cat and mouse.
- 1:03:47And he tries to lure him over. And basically when the Predator
- 1:03:53does approach, he doesn't fall for the trap.
- 1:03:55But that's where he, like, takes off his mask and he's like,
- 1:03:57we're fucking fighting. And Arnie calls him one ugly
- 1:04:01motherfucker like. How he doesn't fall for the trap
- 1:04:05and then he goes to try and get him and then that ended up being
- 1:04:08what Dutch was expecting him to do.
- 1:04:11So he then like, kicks the thing that was supposed to be the
- 1:04:13trap, and it causes a weighted thing to fall on top of the
- 1:04:16predator. Yeah, he yeah.
- 1:04:19It's like I put it as a sandbag. It's pretty much.
- 1:04:23That's what it looked like to me.
- 1:04:24So the predator's got like this little cuff on its arm, and it
- 1:04:27hits some buttons and an explosion happens, and we see
- 1:04:31the chopper at the nearby rendezvous point start to leave
- 1:04:34with Anna, and Dutch is on the ground and he's kind of like,
- 1:04:38you know, badass movie star explosions and dust all around
- 1:04:41him. And he assumes the predator's
- 1:04:43dead and everything's good. And then the chopper comes and
- 1:04:45gets him. We kind of like glossed over a
- 1:04:47lot of shit there at the end. I don't write out a lot of the
- 1:04:50moves of the fight when it's a lot of just like, 'cause there's
- 1:04:53like 10 minutes of them fighting.
- 1:04:54I didn't make a ton of notes about it, honestly.
- 1:04:57Yeah, I guess that's pretty much it then.
- 1:05:00There are cool moments in there that we could have discussed,
- 1:05:02but let's just go ahead and go on.
- 1:05:04We can. Discuss some of them if you
- 1:05:05want. I just didn't write them down,
- 1:05:06'cause it's it is hard for me to follow my notes with like action
- 1:05:10sequences and trying to make it make sense.
- 1:05:13So I just a lot of times don't. I like how at the end, like how
- 1:05:17it like it laughs whenever it calls in the explosion.
- 1:05:22Like it. It's using Billy's laugh from
- 1:05:25before whenever he got the joke, which I think is important why
- 1:05:28the joke actually landed there so they could get that laugh.
- 1:05:30And like. The predator's like, all right,
- 1:05:32like you've got me, but I'm getting you too.
- 1:05:35Well, and there's like a line where before he takes off the
- 1:05:38mask and he goes, what are you? And the predator goes, what are
- 1:05:41you? Yeah.
- 1:05:42And it's like, was it ready for that?
- 1:05:46I like how it's also like you're one ugly son of a bitch.
- 1:05:50No, he says. You're one ugly motherfucker.
- 1:05:52That's it, yeah. At the end of the special
- 1:05:54features, all of the actors like did their impression of him
- 1:05:58saying that, so keeping it at 10.
- 1:06:03Absolutely. Yeah, I think I'm gonna do the
- 1:06:05same. Man, OK, so 10 out of 10, I
- 1:06:08don't really have any changes what I want for it personally.
- 1:06:12I think you can up Anna's role a little bit.
- 1:06:15OK, That's fair. Yeah, I mean, that's not gonna
- 1:06:17hurt the movie in any way whatsoever.
- 1:06:19I think it would make it a lot better, honestly.
- 1:06:20I mean, it's already an amazing movie, but that would just make
- 1:06:24it even better. Could be an 11.
- 1:06:26Oh, crank it to 11. Yeah, OK, That's how you think.
- 1:06:32Well, Talia was started off laying on the couch.
- 1:06:35She needed to go out at 23 minutes and 47 seconds.
- 1:06:38You know, it could be that she wasn't feeling it, or it could
- 1:06:40be that she was making sure she was ready for all the action.
- 1:06:43Yeah. So.
- 1:06:44You know, whichever way you wanna look at that.
- 1:06:46And then she came back in and she was playing with her rabbit.
- 1:06:49She was getting really into it. And then at one point, she
- 1:06:51farted really loud. Oh, yeah, she did then.
- 1:06:54She like, let out a real loud fart and she was like, whoops.
- 1:06:58I wonder if she was like scared or something.
- 1:07:00Yeah, so I think between like the rabbit, making sure she
- 1:07:03didn't miss any more action, and the farting, that's gonna be a
- 1:07:0510 out of 10 for Talia too. As we said, Zoe did watch this
- 1:07:11because hello so many explosions.
- 1:07:16I thought it might be fun because Zoe has been watching
- 1:07:20more and more of some movies with us lately.
- 1:07:23I thought it might be fun to change up the Zoe measure for
- 1:07:27the movie and maybe who Zoe thinks is the supreme hunter in
- 1:07:34each movie. Who's The Ultimate Warrior, The
- 1:07:37best predator, if you will? Like what?
- 1:07:41Who she admires the most. I think.
- 1:07:44Whose skill she admires the most.
- 1:07:45I think she's like we were talking so many times last night
- 1:07:48that she probably sees herself as the predator that she kind of
- 1:07:52admires it's skill set the most and it's tools.
- 1:07:58Like she probably also has some variation of P vision.
- 1:08:04I would think so. I would think though, that she
- 1:08:08might also really admire Billy because he can just sense stuff
- 1:08:13in the air, you know? So there's an argument to be
- 1:08:17made for that as well. I think Talia is Billy in that
- 1:08:20sense, because Talia kind of gets that smell like she'll
- 1:08:23like, look around. I think she senses the place a
- 1:08:25little bit more. OK, so you think Zoe's looking
- 1:08:27up to the predator to the most? I think so.
- 1:08:29OK, Yeah, that's just my guess. She's the ultimate hunter.
- 1:08:34And I mean, that's what the Predator is like.
- 1:08:36It's the fucking ultimate hunter.
- 1:08:37That's why it came here. Yeah, that's a good point.
- 1:08:40That's a very good point. OK, All right.
- 1:08:43So who did you relate to? Honestly, I'd probably have to
- 1:08:49relate to Billy not fucking dealing with Hawkins's nonsense.
- 1:08:53Yeah. At least in the beginning.
- 1:08:55And then, like I said, I refuse to believe he actually found
- 1:08:57that second joke funny. I think his brain was just
- 1:08:59broken. I'll relate to Hawkins because I
- 1:09:04think, like, if I were to be, if I were ever drafted into the
- 1:09:10Army, I would be the one that is, like, this guy probably
- 1:09:13doesn't belong. Like, are we sure we needed to
- 1:09:16draft this guy right here? Does he really need to be a part
- 1:09:19of this crew? And I'd be telling stupid jokes
- 1:09:21too. Look at this guy.
- 1:09:22He hasn't had his hair this short and year.
- 1:09:25Got glasses on? I don't have to wear glasses,
- 1:09:28but you know. Yeah, they.
- 1:09:30I would still have them though, because I, you know, I'm I'm
- 1:09:33being the stereotype. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:35Yeah, I think so. All right.
- 1:09:38Stream sequel. OK, what?
- 1:09:40Do we wanna see? From the sequel.
- 1:09:41Yeah, we have nothing. Yeah, we know nothing about any
- 1:09:43of the sequels. I've seen Alien versus Predator.
- 1:09:46I haven't. OK, so I haven't even seen that.
- 1:09:50So for me, I wanna see how it survived like that.
- 1:09:56I want it to pick up basically right where this left off, OK?
- 1:10:00I want it to survive and I want it to track Dutch and Anna to
- 1:10:03wherever their next location is. See, that's the thing.
- 1:10:06Like, I feel like this movie perfectly sets Anna up to be an
- 1:10:09important character in the sequel.
- 1:10:11Yeah. I could see her like having a
- 1:10:13major role in the sequel. Yeah, I I like that.
- 1:10:16Like he sticks around different environment, like let's get them
- 1:10:20out of the jungle. Like he, he happens to be called
- 1:10:23away to another mission. Yeah.
- 1:10:25So he's following Dutch. He's tracking it.
- 1:10:27But his explosion wasn't actually an explosion.
- 1:10:30Like that was just kind of a side effect.
- 1:10:31But he was sending a distress call.
- 1:10:33So now it becomes kind of like a reversal of the first one where
- 1:10:37some other predators. Yeah, his team are coming in to
- 1:10:40rescue him. Yeah.
- 1:10:42Against. Oh, that's against Arnie.
- 1:10:44Arnie's going to get fucking killed.
- 1:10:45Him and Anna both are going to just get decimated.
- 1:10:47Yeah, And I was like, I'm not signing the contract for this
- 1:10:51movie. I mean, I would like to see that
- 1:10:55he has to like reform his own team.
- 1:10:56I don't know. We didn't see, we actually
- 1:10:58didn't see Dylan die, OK? Like we saw it cut away before
- 1:11:03he. Gets dead because last night you
- 1:11:04were like Dylan's dead and I was like horror movie rules if you
- 1:11:08do not see the body. As far as this movie is
- 1:11:10concerned though, he died. Like that's what we're meant to
- 1:11:13be bleeding as of now, so I want him to be alive.
- 1:11:19He's got a robotic arm. They have like, they found
- 1:11:23leftover technology from the Predator and they're like, all
- 1:11:26right, we can use some of this shit to like, make actual.
- 1:11:29I love that. If, especially if Stan Winston
- 1:11:32can be involved in our sequel, he's got to be, yeah.
- 1:11:35And he does. A nod to his own Terminator
- 1:11:38stuff and that. Would be awesome.
- 1:11:40Like Arnold has to fight the tournament.
- 1:11:41Terminator this time. Oh my God, what if it's Dylan?
- 1:11:45What if Dylan is the predator? He's like you son of a bitch.
- 1:11:51Any arm wrestles him with the fake new arm.
- 1:11:54This is just getting stupid now. We should probably stop.
- 1:11:56It is OK, OK. All right, new tagline.
- 1:12:01Oh man, OK. All right, welcome to the jungle
- 1:12:14predator. I can't fucking see anything.
- 1:12:19Oh, you won't see it coming. Oh, that's good.
- 1:12:23OK, all right. OK, We workshop that together.
- 1:12:26Yeah, that was a real team effort.
- 1:12:27OK. All right, cool.
- 1:12:29You won't see it coming. Yeah, that's.
- 1:12:30Great. Here's a little peek behind the
- 1:12:32curtains. When it takes a really long time
- 1:12:34for us to come up with a tagline, we are cutting out all
- 1:12:38of the silence. We're not making the show up.
- 1:12:40Yeah, our. Ass like that.
- 1:12:42About half of our like bad ideas get cut too.
- 1:12:46Some of the sillier ones stay, but yeah, just just so you know,
- 1:12:51just so you have an idea of what our collaborative process is.
- 1:12:54Sometimes, like last week, one of us comes in with the perfect
- 1:12:59pun already. But most of the time, it's rare.
- 1:13:02It's a lot of. It's hard.
- 1:13:04The only person that I know that is really good at rattling off
- 1:13:08tag lines is Steve. Yeah, from the decision real
- 1:13:12like he he fucking. And he's also good at rattling
- 1:13:15off sequels like. Yeah.
- 1:13:17Oh man, we'll we'll have him here later this month.
- 1:13:20He's gonna be part of scarying. Episodes Scary movie.
- 1:13:23So we'll be able to test his ability soon, yeah?
- 1:13:26OK, we need to have him come up with like 3 taglines, yeah?
- 1:13:31OK, time for an Internet review. OK, All right.
- 1:13:35So obviously I went with a bad Yeah.
- 1:13:37Review for this, Yeah, because we both know that we love this.
- 1:13:40So I got a one out 10 on IMDb. What It's I found it tedious.
- 1:13:45Is the title OK? There are guns and other weapons
- 1:13:48of blazing in this sci-fi thriller about an alien creature
- 1:13:51who's single handedly wiping out an elite military team sent into
- 1:13:55the jungles of Central America to rescue some hostages.
- 1:13:58All that. It sounds strange, but I found
- 1:14:00this tedious viewing all the way through.
- 1:14:02To me, it's most noteworthy for having two future US governors
- 1:14:06in the cast. Jesse Ventura, future governor
- 1:14:08of Minnesota, did not fucking know that.
- 1:14:10Wow. Played a small part and Arnold
- 1:14:12Schwarzenegger, future governor of California, was the star.
- 1:14:15The story itself was repetitious all the way through a triumphs
- 1:14:18through the jungle while being stalked by a monster in the
- 1:14:22dialogue, as might be expected with this kind of movie, was
- 1:14:26weak. Schwarzenegger really was called
- 1:14:28upon to do every little thing. Acceptable, tough.
- 1:14:32Wait, this doesn't make sense. Schwarzenegger really was called
- 1:14:35upon to do very little, except oh.
- 1:14:37Very little. Except look tough, which
- 1:14:40admittedly he does well. And I wondered, as any thinking
- 1:14:43person would do, why the creature didn't just kill Dutch
- 1:14:46when it had him by the throat pinned against the tree.
- 1:14:48I suppose because that would have taken away the chance to
- 1:14:50have the really cool ending with a huge explosion, and then
- 1:14:53Arnold standing victoriously in a macho pose as he looks around
- 1:14:57at the carnage. Tedious sums up all I need to
- 1:14:59say about this from my perspective.
- 1:15:02OK, I guess I could see that, cuz it is a lot of jungle action
- 1:15:07and like I said at the beginning, I struggled with it
- 1:15:09at some points just because the vision thing for me really, I
- 1:15:15mean it is a lot visually to be very monotonous.
- 1:15:19They, I mean, they even mentioned themselves that the
- 1:15:21jungle's not cinematically, Yeah, like, interesting to look
- 1:15:24at. And there's a lot of it.
- 1:15:25And they tried their best to make it, Yeah, cool.
- 1:15:27And I think that they mostly succeeded.
- 1:15:30But I can definitely understand like how it just becomes bland
- 1:15:33after a certain point. And I like, I also, I grew up
- 1:15:37watching a lot of war movies, so this is not anything that I'm
- 1:15:43new to. Yeah, So it's it's an area I'm
- 1:15:47comfortable with. So I can see if it's not
- 1:15:49something that a lot of people watch that it like might feel
- 1:15:53tedious, 'cause that's, I mean that's war isn't all like
- 1:15:56action. There's.
- 1:15:57A lot. Of tedium too like.
- 1:15:59I feel like they broke it up pretty nice when they got to the
- 1:16:02gorilla camp, like that was cool.
- 1:16:05I was pleasantly surprised because we, and this is a thing
- 1:16:07that we go through with a lot of horror movies, like the ones
- 1:16:10that aren't very like, cleverly written, that like, oh, person
- 1:16:14walks into a room, things happen.
- 1:16:16For some reason, they go to another room and things happen.
- 1:16:18And that feels very repetitious and tedious to me.
- 1:16:22And I feel like this movie kept it generally fresh with the way
- 1:16:25that they were doing stuff. And even like just shots of the
- 1:16:28gungle, gungle, the jungle were pretty like, interesting, I
- 1:16:32thought, because they kept suspense there with the predator
- 1:16:34up in the trees, like, you know, they're always kind of on their
- 1:16:37toes the entire time. Yeah, so.
- 1:16:39But I I can definitely see the perspective.
- 1:16:42Obviously I thoroughly enjoyed it though.
- 1:16:45I did too. I liked it a lot, but I can 100%
- 1:16:48understand how they could get old real fast depending on what
- 1:16:51your taste. Is, yeah.
- 1:16:52Depending on what you're what you're looking for in a movie.
- 1:16:55Because I do think that war movies are a thing all on their
- 1:16:59own. Like, truthfully, they might not
- 1:17:02even like something like Tropic Thunder, because there's a lot
- 1:17:05of like walking through the woods in it, you know?
- 1:17:07Yeah, OK, so on to listener reviews.
- 1:17:12You got a decent amount, say. Okay, yeah, yeah, that was blown
- 1:17:15up. Yeah, okay.
- 1:17:16We'll start off on Instagram. So priscil is, says Goaded
- 1:17:20movie. Infinitely watchable, infinitely
- 1:17:23quotable, Absolutely. There's so many quotable lines
- 1:17:26in this movie and like, it's just a fun movie to throw on no
- 1:17:30matter what. Like I can just watch this thing
- 1:17:32and be entertained 100% all the way through We.
- 1:17:35Were talking with Brian from the TV Trivia Pod earlier about how
- 1:17:39I love to do a Jennifer Jelly. Yours.
- 1:17:44Your version of that is. You son of a bitch.
- 1:17:49Man, I do a terrible one. I do.
- 1:17:50I think I do a good Dylan. It's hard, yeah.
- 1:17:53It's hard not to go comedy with it if it's not an accent that
- 1:17:56you, other than to be Dylan, an overacting action star.
- 1:18:03I mean, yeah, like, I think it's everybody has an Arnold, just
- 1:18:07like everybody has a Christopher Walken.
- 1:18:09It's just because, you know, like have easy to like replicate
- 1:18:12voices kind of. It's not.
- 1:18:15It's easy to replicate. It's that it's easy to pick up
- 1:18:19when you're trying to replicate. Right.
- 1:18:21Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:22You're not saying that they're all good, but like, everybody
- 1:18:24recognizes it because they're so unique.
- 1:18:26It's. It kind of makes me think of
- 1:18:27like the karaoke montages of people trying to do the get down
- 1:18:30with the sickness. I also that that was bad.
- 1:18:33That was really bad. Yeah, yeah, that was worse.
- 1:18:42And yeah, like we our first time watching this last year, we
- 1:18:45realized how many like me moments are in this movie.
- 1:18:48Like it's like, oh, that's where that's from.
- 1:18:50Like the like when they're arm wrestling, like I walked out of
- 1:18:53the Charlotte, like, yeah, we're bubbies.
- 1:18:55That's like the bubbie. And betrayal is coming.
- 1:18:57Yeah, OK, Betrayal. Cube save, says Perfect
- 1:19:02Masculine camp, a genre I adore. You know what?
- 1:19:05That is kind of like a sub genre I didn't even really think
- 1:19:07about. I love that term.
- 1:19:10Masculine camp. So great, because, like, they're
- 1:19:13like I, you know, jokingly at the beginning, I was like, this
- 1:19:15doesn't pass the Bechdel test. Obviously.
- 1:19:17It fucking doesn't. And obviously there's some
- 1:19:19moments in this that's really problematic.
- 1:19:20But when you think of it in terms of masculine camp, I'm
- 1:19:23like, Oh my God, I get it. I get why they wrote that line.
- 1:19:26Well, I mean, I was also reading like, you know, we got like so
- 1:19:29many large men in this movie, like we were saying before, but
- 1:19:32like, boys don't get swole for the girls, they get swole for
- 1:19:34the boys, you know what I mean? Just like girls don't wear
- 1:19:37makeup for boys. Yeah, boys don't get swole for
- 1:19:40girls. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:19:41I. Love this parallel and we all
- 1:19:44know I'm a fan of a Himbo. Yeah, which you don't get that
- 1:19:48in masculine camp necessarily, this one anyway.
- 1:19:52But like it's, it lends it lends itself to that.
- 1:19:56That's great, man. Thank you for introducing us to
- 1:19:59that time. Yeah.
- 1:19:59Thank you. OK, let's hop over to.
- 1:20:03To Twitter, Chad says one of my fave movies of all time.
- 1:20:07Glad you all have gotten around to watching that Blu-ray.
- 1:20:09I gave you two wonderful folks a while back.
- 1:20:11Can't wait for the episode. Chad has like harped on this
- 1:20:14movie ever since we've known him, so he's really the one that
- 1:20:17championed us to finally get into watching this thing.
- 1:20:20And thank you, Chad, because yeah, it was awesome.
- 1:20:23Yeah, when we watched it shortly after getting it the first time,
- 1:20:28it was it was so good. I think we even told him at the
- 1:20:30next meet up for. Like we did.
- 1:20:32Right. Thank you.
- 1:20:32Yeah. I think we thanked them whenever
- 1:20:35we were watching. Them.
- 1:20:35Yeah, yeah, actually we might have like, thrown a tweet out or
- 1:20:38something in the group chat. Ward Zombie says.
- 1:20:41Who doesn't love this movie? It is like a sci-fi slasher, but
- 1:20:45the victims put up one heck of a fight.
- 1:20:46Great action, unforgettable characters out of this world
- 1:20:49killer. Can't say enough good things
- 1:20:50about this movie. I see what you did there with
- 1:20:52the out of this world killer. I like that, though, because
- 1:20:55that's a really good point about we don't see it a ton.
- 1:20:59A lot of times in horror movies, what we get is somebody that has
- 1:21:02to learn to become this badass. But we've got these people that
- 1:21:05are already badass. They're already, like, trained
- 1:21:07for scenarios like this, and this goes a step beyond.
- 1:21:11So I do think that's a really interesting point that this
- 1:21:13movie takes. Kind of.
- 1:21:14I mean, kind of. Think about your next What's her
- 1:21:17name? Aaron?
- 1:21:18Maybe the character's name? Something like that, Yeah.
- 1:21:20It's Aaron. Yeah, How he she hadn't told
- 1:21:25Crispin yet about her doom, survivalist, survivalist
- 1:21:30upbringing and she ended up being perfect to take down the
- 1:21:34the bad guys in that movie. So I think it is something that
- 1:21:38if it was overused it would be too predictable.
- 1:21:40But I think it it works really well in this movie because they
- 1:21:43are generally trained for any scenario.
- 1:21:46But this is a step beyond that and I think it's a great, great,
- 1:21:51what is the word I'm looking for?
- 1:21:53Subversion. Yeah, maybe.
- 1:21:55I just like the blending of genres, like taking action and
- 1:21:58blending it with like a slasher. I wanna see yeah, slashers
- 1:22:00blended with other genres. Like give me a ROM com slasher.
- 1:22:03Yeah. Oh my God, yeah.
- 1:22:04No, for real. I would love a ROM com slasher.
- 1:22:08I think another one that does this really well.
- 1:22:10Also another R&E maybe. But like T2?
- 1:22:12Yeah, yeah, that's definitely like action horror also.
- 1:22:16The first one, especially T2, I feel like leans a little bit
- 1:22:18more personal action. Sorry, I'm very partial to T2,
- 1:22:21but yeah, the first one I'd say is definitely more horror.
- 1:22:23But I think that's just the James Cameron effect cuz.
- 1:22:26He did the. Same thing with aliens.
- 1:22:27Yeah, Aliens is more of an action than horror, but still
- 1:22:30has elements. Yeah, definitely Still has the
- 1:22:32elements, yeah. OK, Aquile boobs.
- 1:22:35He gave us A2 parter. OK, so.
- 1:22:37He does. I love that.
- 1:22:38When he does that, 'cause you know he's a.
- 1:22:40Real villain. Yeah.
- 1:22:41Well, he loves this movie. Y'all.
- 1:22:42I watched this for the first time when I was maybe 9 or 10.
- 1:22:46Can't believe that. The shit my dad and I would
- 1:22:48watch when I was a kid. I think a year later we started
- 1:22:50watching the Alien movies together.
- 1:22:52What's not to love about this movie?
- 1:22:53Action and cool creature villain at Double Cross Arnold, one of
- 1:22:58my favorite 80s action movies. And the sequel, in my honest
- 1:23:01opinion is even fucking better. Danny Glover taking on a
- 1:23:04Predator in fucking New York City?
- 1:23:06Come on, that's what the sequel is.
- 1:23:08It's Danny Glover. Oh, that's awesome.
- 1:23:11Oh my God, we got to watch it now.
- 1:23:13He ends it by saying, get to the chopper.
- 1:23:15Yes. Yeah.
- 1:23:16OK All right. And our final review is from
- 1:23:20Drew Ticketron. As is his name.
- 1:23:22As is his name. The ultimate in action.
- 1:23:24Horror. Yeah, don't People say it isn't
- 1:23:27horror, but I disagree. The predator does gruesome
- 1:23:30things and is an unknown stalking killer.
- 1:23:32Scared the shit out of me when I saw it on VHS as a kid.
- 1:23:35No, that's the point that I was saying.
- 1:23:37Like, it's an IT. They're being socked through the
- 1:23:39jungle. It's a classic kind of horror
- 1:23:41set up just like disguised in an action movie like package.
- 1:23:46Well, I mean, like, even the director was talking about,
- 1:23:49like, he's like, yeah, they really wanted, like, they
- 1:23:52brought me in because I'm a good action director.
- 1:23:54But, like, they didn't really know that.
- 1:23:55Like, I'm like a theater guy. And I like, I just like, I had
- 1:23:58to, like, hide the fact that I love theater.
- 1:24:00So it's like, yeah, cars, guns, yeah.
- 1:24:02But then like, I'm actually like this kind of guy.
- 1:24:03And it's like, I just want to make like, a good movie, like,
- 1:24:07with this right here. And I think he had in mind
- 1:24:08probably I was like, let's do some horror here.
- 1:24:10Well, OK, sorry, kind of tangential, but that makes me
- 1:24:13think it's Spencer Charnas of Ice 9 Kills because he is a huge
- 1:24:16musical theater person. Oh really?
- 1:24:18Yeah, like he. Kind of makes sense with the
- 1:24:19shows that he puts on. Yeah, but like also like, he
- 1:24:22includes like very, like, it's not just your standard like
- 1:24:28metal core type of sounds. Like he throws in a lot of like
- 1:24:32orchestral type moments almost sometimes.
- 1:24:34And he takes riffs from like famous musicals and stuff and
- 1:24:37we'll put them in there. That's cool.
- 1:24:38Like the it's the end of the world.
- 1:24:42Like takes from, I forget which musical it is, but like it's,
- 1:24:45you know, and he was like, you know, I'm like secretly turning
- 1:24:47these fans into, like they don't know it, but they're kind of
- 1:24:51musical fans now. Like, so I I love, I love like
- 1:24:55an undercover nerd, you know? Yeah.
- 1:24:57This guy was awesome. Like, all of the people were
- 1:24:59talking about how they loved him, too.
- 1:25:01And he's like, you know what my trick was like?
- 1:25:03I hired like great actors because like, I just wanted to
- 1:25:07turn them loose and let them do their thing in Arnie and a guy
- 1:25:10that had to get security for it. But you know, like great people.
- 1:25:14I honestly though I I do think Arnie does generally a good job.
- 1:25:17He just has to stay in his wheelhouse and trying to trying
- 1:25:20to pull up some PTSD is not his wheelhouse.
- 1:25:23No, he may have gotten better as he is.
- 1:25:25Yeah, he was very he was very young in this.
- 1:25:28Yeah, and this is really Arnie. But yeah, no, he fucking kills
- 1:25:30it in this. I like it.
- 1:25:31Yeah. Oh yeah, that's it for the
- 1:25:33reviews. That's it.
- 1:25:34And good. I'm just so glad we finally
- 1:25:36talked about this. This is a joy.
- 1:25:38I haven't stopped smiling. We talked about Child's Play
- 1:25:40before this. We're talking about Predator
- 1:25:43now. And we're gonna be talking about
- 1:25:46Spiral next. Week.
- 1:25:47Yeah, we are. I'm.
- 1:25:50This is the first movie we saw in theaters after COVID.
- 1:25:53Fun fact. So.
- 1:25:55But right now, because it isn't in theaters anymore, you have
- 1:25:59the option to watch it on Hulu, Hulu, My God my God, Okay, Hulu,
- 1:26:06Fubo TV, Sling TV, YouTube TV, a premium subscription.
- 1:26:11Or you can rent it from YouTube, Google Play, Fandango at home or
- 1:26:14Prime. It's an interesting one.
- 1:26:17It's different, I feel like, but also kind of the same.
- 1:26:20But. I like where they were going
- 1:26:23with it. Yeah, I have a lot of thoughts
- 1:26:26about it. I'm very excited to discuss it
- 1:26:29and I can't believe that that means that next month will be
- 1:26:34done for now with this all franchise.
- 1:26:36I know, but there is more. So we will be able to talk about
- 1:26:39some more of them. Yeah.
- 1:26:40Yeah, yeah. All right.
- 1:26:42So be on the lookout for that one.
- 1:26:44Watch that movie in preparation or just listen to us talk about
- 1:26:46whichever you prefer. Do both.
- 1:26:49You do both, Yeah. We suggest you do both.
- 1:26:50Yeah, draw your own conclusions. Don't just listen to us.
- 1:26:56You know, we have our very distinct taste in movies, and
- 1:27:01it's not everybody's taste in movies.
- 1:27:02But I think that's kind of the whole point of our show, is that
- 1:27:06we're not any better or worse than any other horror fans.
- 1:27:09And neither are you. Neither are you.
- 1:27:11Yeah, I'm talking to. You right there.
- 1:27:14What? What movie was it where he's
- 1:27:16like, Oh yeah, that's the point. We're all like none of us is too
- 1:27:22bad for heaven or something. Body Body Bible.
- 1:27:24Yeah, he's. Like, yeah, everybody's except
- 1:27:26for you. Except for you.
- 1:27:27Everybody's going to heaven but you.
- 1:27:28That was Ron Jeremy telling us all that, Yeah.
- 1:27:31Yeah, that was weird. That's fucking Ron Jeremy.
- 1:27:33So that's wild. Well, he was Jesus, so I don't
- 1:27:37know like it's. Hashtag not my Jesus.
- 1:27:40Yeah, yeah, because of the stuff that's come out about him.
- 1:27:45All right, so you can find this on social media.
- 1:27:49We have Twitter and Blueski. At least Fav pod.
- 1:27:54Also on Instagram and threads Least Favorite Scary Movie

- 1:27:59movie? You can also e-mail us at least
- 1:28:02favorite scarymovie@gmail.com. Some of you has been brought to
- 1:28:07my attention, have emailed us and accidentally got into the
- 1:28:10spam folder. So if you don't get a response
- 1:28:13from us fast, hit us up on our social media like the other
- 1:28:16person did because I would have missed They sent in suggestions
- 1:28:20and they were all great. Suggestions.
- 1:28:22Suggestions. Some stuff that we've already
- 1:28:24had planned and some that we hadn't really thought about, so.
- 1:28:26Far, yeah. So I mean, yeah, feel free to
- 1:28:29send those suggestions if you got anything through any of
- 1:28:31those outlets right there. Yeah, which we're doing our
- 1:28:34second annual prom month next month, which was prompted by a
- 1:28:37listener suggestion. True.
- 1:28:38So if you've got some prompt themed.
- 1:28:40Movies. The Munis era that whole bit
- 1:28:43came from, wasn't it Amber who initially suggested.
- 1:28:46I don't know who it was. It might have been.
- 1:28:49Somebody did remember? Who was?
- 1:28:50Somebody suggested stay alive. Stay alive.
- 1:28:53Yeah, because we were trying to get the Rory Gilmore boyfriend
- 1:28:57Trifecta. Yeah.
- 1:28:59And. I think we succeeded.
- 1:29:00Because of that, Patrick, Yeah, yeah, we did.
- 1:29:04And yeah, we ended up succeeding because we also had eight legged
- 1:29:07freaks and I mean several Jpads movies, yeah.
- 1:29:11So we couldn't have done that without you guys.
- 1:29:13So yeah, so definitely send us your suggestions.
- 1:29:17We do read them, even if we can't immediately implement
- 1:29:19them, or if we don't implement them for any type of reason.
- 1:29:23It's not. Yeah.
- 1:29:24So just yeah, we really like getting those suggestions.
- 1:29:29Also it's come to my attention, I know on our coverage of the
- 1:29:33second unfriended dark web that I talked about Talia's bye bye
- 1:29:37list and somebody let me know that they couldn't search that
- 1:29:40on Spotify. And I think that's probably cuz
- 1:29:42it's tied to my personal Spotify stuff.
- 1:29:45I don't know how to make it public.
- 1:29:47I'm gonna try and figure it out, but if you want the link to it I
- 1:29:50will send you the link directly. Just just bye.
- 1:29:52Bye songs. Yeah, just shoot me a message
- 1:29:55and one of us can get. We both control the playlist, so
- 1:29:58one of us will give you the link.
- 1:30:00Bunch of jams of songs our dog probably plays when we leave the
- 1:30:03house. When we leave the house or that
- 1:30:04makes her think of us. Or that also just involves dogs
- 1:30:07barking, which there's a lot of those actually some good jams in
- 1:30:11there. All right.
- 1:30:12We'd also like to shout out our patrons.
- 1:30:14We have Joe. Freakatron.
- 1:30:16As is his name, Amber, Michael Ward, Zombie and Tyler.
