- 0:50Speaker 1: it wasn't. It was the kickoff of Countdown the Crisis.
- 0:53Speaker 1: It was about it feels like months ago. I just
- 0:55Speaker 1: feel like months ago. And you and I both responded,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and her response to us was like, oh my god,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I can't believe you.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Guys responded.

- 2:06Speaker 1: And now it is time for a synops. On the
- 2:09Speaker 1: verge of her big break, aspiring news anchor every Quinn
- 2:13Speaker 1: catches a home intruder wearing a red suit claiming to
- 2:16Speaker 1: be Santa's son. Chris, stars Luke McFarlane and Italia Ricci. Nice,
- 2:21Speaker 1: short and sweet, excellent. Let's do some news and notes.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Nina Wineman wrote this script for catch Me if You Clause.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Nina has thirty two previous writing credits, including NAPA ever
- 2:31Speaker 1: After and a Nashville Legacy, both from earlier this year.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Nina has written a total of thirty movies for homework
- 2:38Speaker 1: since twenty ten. We also just learned that Nina from
- 2:42Speaker 1: Nina herself, that she has three more just put into development.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It's gonna be a big year for miss Nina Wineman.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm telling you these writers during the strike, we're at
- 2:50Speaker 1: home coming up with all these stories, and then as
- 2:53Speaker 1: soon as it was like the okay.
- 2:55Speaker 2: They're like d ting chu ching cha ching.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I have a fun fact about Nina Wineman and this
- 3:00Speaker 1: script later in the episode OOO. This movie was directed
- 3:03Speaker 1: by Bradley Walsh. He has forty four previous directing credits,
- 3:08Speaker 1: including mini projects for Hallmark. I'd like to point out
- 3:11Speaker 1: that he has also directed a couple episodes of this series,
- 3:14Speaker 1: Sullivan's Crossing, which stars Chad Michael Murray and Scott Patterson.
- 3:18Speaker 1: That is Luke Danes from Gilmour Girls. If you didn't know,
- 3:22Speaker 1: Season one is currently airing on the CW.
- 3:25Speaker 2: So I want to know.
- 3:26Speaker 1: If you are a Girls Gone Hallmark listener and watching
- 3:30Speaker 1: Sullivan's Crossing, drop us an email, DM whatever Facebook group
- 3:34Speaker 1: let us know if this is something we should be watching.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I have been recording that. I did notice it on
- 3:38Speaker 1: my DVR the other day. We're drowning, y'all. Wendy and
- 3:42Speaker 1: I basically spend all day sending each other like white
- 3:44Speaker 1: flag gifts I sent Wendy. I found this really cute
- 3:51Speaker 1: restaurant in San Diego that's like fully holiday themed, look amazing,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and I was like, we should go here and you go,
- 3:58Speaker 1: can we? And I went through my calendar. I was like, no,
- 4:02Speaker 1: we're really it, there's no old time. But then it
- 4:06Speaker 1: was I was like, oh, we should go here and
- 4:07Speaker 1: then spend the night in a hotel afterward? When okay?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Moving on. Italian Ricci stars is Avery. Ricci has twenty
- 4:17Speaker 1: seven previous acting credits. Her last film for Hallmark was
- 4:19Speaker 1: Don't Go Break in My Heart in twenty twenty one,
- 4:22Speaker 1: which coincidentally was also written by Nina Linman. Her work
- 4:26Speaker 1: outside of Hallmark includes a show called The Imperfix, which
- 4:29Speaker 1: is Wendy's favorite genre, a sci fi action series now
- 4:33Speaker 1: streaming on Netflix.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Not my favorite, of course.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You might also recognize her from the fifty three episodes
- 4:41Speaker 1: of Designated Survivor, or as April Carver in Chasing Life.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Did you watch Designated Survivor? I think we watched the
- 4:49Speaker 1: first season of it too, and now it's on Netflix.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think it might actually be over now, but it
- 4:54Speaker 1: did get a new life on Netflix. I kind of
- 4:58Speaker 1: like those presidential series.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I know you do.
- 5:04Speaker 1: We were huge fans of twenty four and so I
- 5:06Speaker 1: felt like that's what I wanted from Designated Survivor, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: it wasn't really. No, you were getting like a hapless
- 5:13Speaker 1: dude who was never meant to be the president. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: becoming the president.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Luke McFarlane stars as Chris. This is Luke's second movie
- 5:21Speaker 1: for Hallmarks since returning to the network after his short hiatus.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Earlier this year, we saw him in Notes of Autumn,
- 5:28Speaker 1: and Luke continues to work outside of Hallmark in a
- 5:30Speaker 1: recent true crime movie, Guys, I don't know if I
- 5:36Speaker 1: can get through the title of this movie without laughing.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's called Amish Stud.
- 5:41Speaker 2: The Eli Weavers story.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I really want to watch this true crime Amish stud.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I looked it up because I was like, who's Eli Weaver?
- 5:50Speaker 1: He was like this Amish dude that killed his family
- 5:54Speaker 1: or his wife or something like that. So the poster
- 5:56Speaker 1: shows Luke McFarlane full beard, dress up as an much dude,
- 6:00Speaker 1: but Amish stud. It just I can't you know, Lifetime,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm watching that. Put it on your after Christmas list. Uh.
- 6:09Speaker 1: In addition to Amish Stud, he has a movie coming
- 6:13Speaker 1: out called Lone Star Bull which he's starring in. It's
- 6:16Speaker 1: currently in post production. I'm thrilled for his success. He's
- 6:19Speaker 1: send so much lately, me too. Catch Me a Few
- 6:23Speaker 1: Clause was filmed in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which, according to
- 6:26Speaker 1: the cinemahallic dot com, shooting began at the end of
- 6:30Speaker 1: October twenty twenty three and was wrapped up in November.
- 6:33Speaker 1: This came out on Thanksgiving Day. That's a dyke turner.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Or is it possible the dates are inaccurate? I don't know.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm very curious. Let's hear your first impression of Catch
- 6:42Speaker 1: Me a Few Claus climbing onto Santa's lap means something
- 6:47Speaker 1: entirely different.
- 6:48Speaker 2: After watching this one, we have.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Similar vibes to our first impression. Oh, Tony, do I
- 6:55Speaker 1: need to stay up all night to catch Santa coming
- 6:57Speaker 1: down my gymney?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Did you write, actually write that? Or did you have
- 7:03Speaker 2: a I write that?
- 7:04Speaker 1: I wrote that? What needs made a couple AI references
- 7:09Speaker 1: in the last couple of episodes. I've never had AI write,
- 7:13Speaker 1: but I do podcast show notes.
- 7:15Speaker 2: No, not the show notes.
- 7:16Speaker 1: But sometimes, like your first impression, I will put like
- 7:20Speaker 1: a bunch of words together that are my first impression,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and I need somebody to smooth it out for me.
- 7:25Speaker 1: So yes, sometimes I have it rework it for me
- 7:28Speaker 1: a little bit. Do you want to hear my worst
- 7:29Speaker 1: AI confession? Yes, I need to send a sympathy card
- 7:33Speaker 1: to someone.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Girl in there didn't know.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I couldn't find the words. I didn't do it, but
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'm tempted to be, like, please write the contents of
- 7:43Speaker 1: a sympathy card for a friend. Sometimes it's hard to
- 7:46Speaker 1: come up with the right words. The feeling is there,
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's coming from the heart. Yes, I'm writing it with
- 7:52Speaker 1: my fans, but I don't know what to say, and
- 7:54Speaker 1: I don't. In my defense, I don't want not knowing
- 7:57Speaker 1: what to say to stop me from sending this. I
- 8:00Speaker 1: had to let this person know that I'm thinking about that. Right,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Let's talk what we liked, Okay, I mean definitely the
- 8:05Speaker 1: hot makeout scene in the cars at the top of
- 8:06Speaker 1: Wendy's list.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It's not is it even on my list?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Is that the hottest thing we've ever seen on Hallmark?
- 8:15Speaker 1: When she climbs on she straddles him in the car.
- 8:21Speaker 1: At first, I was like like, literally, my eyes were
- 8:23Speaker 1: like me, have I ever seen that happen before? Ever?
- 8:27Speaker 1: There is no chance I will send someone a ten
- 8:30Speaker 1: dollars Starbucks gift card if you can tell me another
- 8:32Speaker 1: Hallmark movie in which one character has straddled another and
- 8:37Speaker 1: she turns.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That baseball cap backwards. It was a hot scene.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It was a hot scene after dark Man, Yeah, I
- 8:45Speaker 1: fully believed it too. I was like, uh, this is
- 8:48Speaker 1: one of the hottest scenes I've ever seen, and both
- 8:52Speaker 1: of their kisses were very well executed. Agreed. Now, when
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm talking about like this scene, all I can this
- 9:03Speaker 1: memory is like we've gotten some feedback on the shows,
- 9:07Speaker 1: like all they do is objectify the men we have. Well,
- 9:11Speaker 1: that one I was like they're screaming about were hot guys. Well,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I'm screaming that was a hot kiss and I'm here
- 9:19Speaker 1: for it. Like look, I know there's probably Hallmark watchers
- 9:23Speaker 1: out there that were like offended by that scene or
- 9:28Speaker 1: thought it was over the line. I kind of liked
- 9:32Speaker 1: it and would like more. I just want to point
- 9:34Speaker 1: out that there's entire fandoms for these Hallmark dudes, women
- 9:37Speaker 1: of a certain age on Facebook, joining multiple Facebook groups
- 9:42Speaker 1: dedicated to their favorite the heinies. I know, we'll ride
- 9:46Speaker 1: at dawn if you dare review a movie negatively that
- 9:50Speaker 1: their favorite favorite dude is in. Yes, so we are
- 9:54Speaker 1: not alone in objectifying them. Okay, look, I just want
- 9:58Speaker 1: to say this, both Hallmark and Luke McFarlane knew what
- 10:02Speaker 1: they were doing. When Luke comes down that chimney and
- 10:05Speaker 1: he's got that tight, tight shirt and suspenders on, it's
- 10:08Speaker 1: on my Okay, I when we can I say something
- 10:14Speaker 1: about this. When we first saw this photo before the
- 10:17Speaker 1: movie came out, it was a promo photo of Luke
- 10:20Speaker 1: like in that costume.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 1: My first thought was like a rewind the tape to
- 10:28Speaker 1: Luke's quote from an article saying he was leaving the network,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and Luke said, I think I've played all the firefighters
- 10:35Speaker 1: I can play. They took that Luke the Hot Firefighter
- 10:40Speaker 1: and they made him Luke the Hot Firefighter esque Santa Claus. Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I mean that was a moment right there.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They knew what they were doing.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I mean, there's a reason he's not round jolly Santa.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Luke is jacked.
- 10:56Speaker 2: He is jacked.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I had no idea. Like I watched that show Poltonic,
- 11:01Speaker 1: He's in a shirt and tie the entire time. Look,
- 11:05Speaker 1: we're objectifying. What can I say? I would love honks
- 11:07Speaker 1: of Hallmark Calendar if anybody's making one of those, that's
- 11:12Speaker 1: not getting us that, you know, the Hallmark treatment where
- 11:15Speaker 1: it's the yearbook picture from nineteen ninety nine. But like
- 11:20Speaker 1: I sent you those mocked ups I made of the
- 11:22Speaker 1: honks of Hallmark Calendar, I do all this work is
- 11:26Speaker 1: the second time today.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Do you remember that?
- 11:28Speaker 3: Now?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 11:29Speaker 1: I made like a few sample months of what this
- 11:33Speaker 1: might look like. Oh so we can't we can't make
- 11:36Speaker 1: that because we don't own those photos. Obviously we can't
- 11:39Speaker 1: make it. It was a joke for Instagram, Okay, hoopo.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Now Luke McFarland's in it on skates. We're gonna post it,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and we're gonna post it now. We are gonna post
- 11:49Speaker 1: it now. I'm sorry, Megan, menopause does weird things to
- 11:53Speaker 1: my brain. Can we talk beyond Luke what I liked.
- 11:55Speaker 2: About this man? I guess sorry.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Thanks for great as everybody. I loved the opening title
- 12:05Speaker 1: in this movie. Yeah, gave me all those fine movie
- 12:08Speaker 1: vibes and I just loved it. I love when Hallmark
- 12:12Speaker 1: puts like a few extra dollars into like an opening
- 12:15Speaker 1: credit where we just don't get like some like overlay
- 12:18Speaker 1: of like wedding at midnight or.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Whatever, you know what I mean, wedding midnight.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But but but but please, maybe if you recall the
- 12:30Speaker 1: Leo DiCaprio movie Catch Me if you can, is it
- 12:35Speaker 1: the same kind of capery opening?
- 12:37Speaker 2: See? I think it is? Well, maybe I like it more.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Now I think it is. I think it's a real
- 12:43Speaker 1: nod to that. And if you recall later in the
- 12:47Speaker 1: movie when they're with like the theater troop and the
- 12:49Speaker 1: guy goes people mistake me for Leo, I was like, wait,
- 12:53Speaker 1: is that a callback to Catch Me effect? You know?
- 12:56Speaker 1: There were two other moments that I thought were callbacks
- 12:58Speaker 1: in this movie, Okay, one is more of a vibe
- 13:02Speaker 1: Luke as Chris has a real buddy of the l
- 13:04Speaker 1: vibe in the first half of this movie, to me
- 13:06Speaker 1: kind of liked the elf what's your favorite color? Oh yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: in a real charming way. At the end of the movie,
- 13:12Speaker 1: when the actual Santa Crooks are caught and they're like,
- 13:16Speaker 1: we finally caught the Santa Crook and the guy goes
- 13:18Speaker 1: Santa Crooks. Okay, that moment, to me, stay with me
- 13:22Speaker 1: is reminiscent of the end of Home Alone, when they
- 13:26Speaker 1: catch the guys and he's like, we're the Wet Bandits
- 13:29Speaker 1: and he's like, get it right, Harry.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Harry's the Joe pesci character. He's like, Marv, shut up, Marv.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But Marv wants the claim, like we are the Wet Bandits. Anyway,
- 13:38Speaker 1: that's the moment, that's that's the vibe I got from
- 13:41Speaker 1: those two moments this story. I like that Chris and
- 13:45Speaker 1: Avery have parallel stories. Yeah, they're going through the same thing.
- 13:48Speaker 1: They live in the shadow of their parents and they're
- 13:50Speaker 1: just trying to like be successful at doing their own thing.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I like that they connect on that. But it wasn't
- 13:57Speaker 1: like clearly that's not like what the movie was about,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but it was just like this, this sprinkling of I
- 14:06Speaker 1: saw a review calling Chris the ultimate NEPO baby, which
- 14:09Speaker 1: made me laugh so hard.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, very funny.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Looking back over the countdown to Christmas season, my favorite
- 14:15Speaker 1: stand up movies so far have been the one that
- 14:17Speaker 1: have leaned into comedies. You know, the Santa Summit, Mystic
- 14:23Speaker 1: Christmas I thought had a lot of comedy. Those are
- 14:26Speaker 1: the movies that hit for me. My point is, I
- 14:30Speaker 1: think Luke in a comedic role really suits him. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you know, instead of him being like this like eye
- 14:38Speaker 1: candy throwaway romantic interest for a leading lady of a
- 14:43Speaker 1: movie like fully in his own I think he's got
- 14:47Speaker 1: the comedy thing.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I love it.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Another thing I liked about this movie in addition another
- 14:53Speaker 1: story comment, you know you liked that opening capery scene.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I liked that this is kind of a Christmas mystery
- 14:59Speaker 1: Christmas crime caper. Sure, a little bit of a different
- 15:03Speaker 1: story than we're usually telling. When we've got like the
- 15:06Speaker 1: parental influence, we're usually going a different direction. And I
- 15:10Speaker 1: liked there's so many fresh elements, like when they run
- 15:13Speaker 1: into like you said, the acting troupe and they're running
- 15:17Speaker 1: from these bad guys. I thought that was really fresh
- 15:20Speaker 1: and nice and fun. I have a note about that,
- 15:23Speaker 1: and my wish to One of my favorite lines in
- 15:25Speaker 1: this entire movie was why do the hot ones have
- 15:27Speaker 1: to be crazy? It was that's not verbatim, it's something
- 15:31Speaker 1: along those lines, but I was like, that's nice.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I like that.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I like that a lot.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Oh.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I enjoyed that this story took place in the span
- 15:40Speaker 1: of one evening, yeah, and or early morning hours. And
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever seen a Hallmark movie
- 15:48Speaker 1: showing in that like condensed amount of time and or
- 15:52Speaker 1: be shot at night almost exclusively. And I thought, shout
- 15:56Speaker 1: out to the crew and the actors. They were probably
- 16:00Speaker 1: working all night hours. There's a lot of indoor scenes
- 16:04Speaker 1: in the stage, everything outside. And to that point, we
- 16:09Speaker 1: have a lot of movies that take place on Christmas
- 16:11Speaker 1: Eve that don't belong on Christmas Eve, like a tree
- 16:14Speaker 1: lighting or the opening of a museum or whatever.
- 16:16Speaker 2: This makes sense on Christmas Eve, sure, because Santa's delivering
- 16:19Speaker 2: the presence.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Yes, yes, all.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Right, let's talk about what we wished for. Okay, I
- 16:24Speaker 1: think a big miss in this movie would have been
- 16:28Speaker 1: an awesome cameo in the role of Santa.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And why was Santa so crumpy.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Because his kid isn't delivering but he had heat, he apologized,
- 16:40Speaker 1: Grandpa Santa is a jolly old fella. Yeah, but he's
- 16:44Speaker 1: got a big job and this is Chris' first year
- 16:47Speaker 1: and he doesn't want to ruin Christmas.
- 16:49Speaker 2: The kids need their gift. I hear that.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Now. Logistically, I can't get past how Chris is delivering
- 16:56Speaker 1: all these gifts, like after she gets to the at
- 17:00Speaker 1: five am.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, how that happened. That's my wish.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I need Chris to be more concerned about delivering gifts
- 17:05Speaker 1: to children and the way they get by that is
- 17:08Speaker 1: Santa says. The sleigh operates outside of the constraints of
- 17:12Speaker 1: linear time. Do you remember the TV show Out of
- 17:14Speaker 1: This World with Evie whose father was an alien. Yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 1: she talked to him via a cube and she could
- 17:19Speaker 1: free time. I always imagine it to be a bit
- 17:22Speaker 1: like that. They're like, we gotta frees time. We got
- 17:24Speaker 1: to traverse the globe deliver to the rest of the
- 17:27Speaker 1: children of the world. Yet somehow arrived back in time
- 17:32Speaker 1: for Chris to meet Avery after her five am newscast NBD.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I just think you gotta be like, oh, that's Christmas magic.
- 17:40Speaker 1: That's how Santa works. Sure, but he wasn't worried at all.
- 17:45Speaker 1: In the beginning, He's like, I got to get out
- 17:47Speaker 1: of here to deliver Christmas, and then after that point
- 17:49Speaker 1: he's like, no, I'm sticking with you till the bitter end.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I thought people are not going to get their presence Chris,
- 17:54Speaker 1: were You're worried?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yes, here the counter to your earlier.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Like I'm ready for it.
- 18:06Speaker 4: You don't love.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Like screwball comedy, like I'm like adjacent, yes, yes, when
- 18:15Speaker 1: like a somewhat confusing storyline like who done it? With
- 18:21Speaker 1: like running and hiding out and these oops moments? I
- 18:27Speaker 1: I'm no fun same So therefore I don't like all
- 18:31Speaker 1: the silliness, Like I can't even appreciate it because I'm like, nope,
- 18:35Speaker 1: this is how you were gonna rectify this situation, Like
- 18:38Speaker 1: give me the most efficient. Here's a plug for a Patreon.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I have a hot story about how I am no
- 18:43Speaker 1: fun coming up on our next Patreon What's good episode,
- 18:50Speaker 1: Stay tuned.
- 18:51Speaker 2: So that's that's where I am.
- 18:53Speaker 1: However, with all that said, I am very appreciative and
- 19:00Speaker 1: really like that Hallmark put this into their lineup because
- 19:04Speaker 1: I don't want forty movies of the same thing, right,
- 19:08Speaker 1: So I love that this is in addition to it,
- 19:10Speaker 1: and it always is a callback to me last year
- 19:12Speaker 1: with The Royal Nanny. I don't can't recall how I
- 19:15Speaker 1: felt about that movie, but I remember it going like,
- 19:19Speaker 1: this is not a Christmas movie. Our feeling about that
- 19:22Speaker 1: movie was not that it was amazing, but they tried. Yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 1: they made a Hallmark spy movie. Right, So now we
- 19:29Speaker 1: have like this Hallmark Christmas caper, which I can appreciate. Yes,
- 19:35Speaker 1: let's talk. Did you see that?
- 19:36Speaker 2: I just had one luke and a gray T shirt.
- 19:38Speaker 2: That's it. That's all. That's all I have.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Like, I'm like, why I'm laying this old, dried up
- 19:46Speaker 1: biddy that's been married twenty plus hears jonesing for the
- 19:51Speaker 1: hottest guy on Hallmark in this gray T shirt, muscles
- 19:56Speaker 1: busting out. The reason is for exact bactly the reason
- 20:00Speaker 1: that you said, how old do you think? Luca is?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Thirty seven forty three. He's one year younger than me.
- 20:06Speaker 1: He will be forty four on January nineteenth. He was
- 20:09Speaker 1: born in nineteen eighty, which like anytime we're out of
- 20:13Speaker 1: the seventies, I'm like, your baby, I was born in
- 20:16Speaker 1: the wee hours of the seventies. But nevertheless, I guess
- 20:20Speaker 1: I can just appreciate fine art as well. Tali Rici
- 20:25Speaker 1: is no slouch either.
- 20:25Speaker 2: She's good.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I actually didn't say this, but in my legs, I
- 20:29Speaker 1: like Luke and Italia are kind of my Roman Empire
- 20:31Speaker 1: right now, the two of them. I was like, oh,
- 20:33Speaker 1: look at them. Yeah, beautiful, Okay, one miner. Did you
- 20:37Speaker 1: see that Avery's unpacking gifts from her mother from one
- 20:41Speaker 1: large box. They all emerge in pristine condition. The boats
- 20:44Speaker 1: are perfect, and I was like, Nope, really something I
- 20:47Speaker 1: think about every time when someone's like I have to
- 20:49Speaker 1: ship gifts to my family.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I think they're a bow on.
- 20:51Speaker 1: That everything gets crushed down to the shafting. Yes, I
- 20:55Speaker 1: have a behind the scenes note tell me from one
- 20:58Speaker 1: Miss Nina Wineman. She says, I developed the script elsewhere
- 21:03Speaker 1: twelve years ago. It never got made there, but Hallmark
- 21:06Speaker 1: Channel bought it back for me and we got to
- 21:09Speaker 1: make it for Countdown to Christmas this year. A lesson
- 21:11Speaker 1: for writers that sometimes no means not right now and
- 21:15Speaker 1: then goes on to say that, of course, some adjustments
- 21:17Speaker 1: had to be made to her original script.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Good for Mina, not great, that's awesome.
- 21:24Speaker 1: What did you rate?
- 21:25Speaker 2: Catch me?
