- 0:00Speaker 1: Thanks, John, for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Rich has life hacks. Get this.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Guy went viral on social media after he filmed himself
- 0:09Speaker 2: picking up a DoorDash order at the scene of a
- 0:11Speaker 2: crash that involved his delivery driver.
- 0:14Speaker 1: So picture that.
- 0:15Speaker 3: So he sees on the map where his order is.
- 0:19Speaker 1: When he goes to the crash, the guy's probably like, oh, God.
- 0:21Speaker 1: He goes, oh, is that my McDonald's?
- 0:22Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Here's part of the audio.
- 0:24Speaker 4: I DoorDashed some food, and my DoorDasher told me he
- 0:28Speaker 4: got in a car accident.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And he was like, I can come meet him and get.
- 0:34Speaker 1: The food from him.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I think that's my food right there. I'm about to
- 0:38Speaker 3: go get my food.
- 0:39Speaker 4: What's going on, bro?
- 0:40Speaker 1: You the door dasher?
- 0:42Speaker 4: Yeah. You all right? Yeah. Thank you, man.
- 0:46Speaker 3: You good? Yeah, I'm right down the street.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm like, let me come grab my food. I'm so sorry, bro.
- 0:53Speaker 3: You got an accident bringing me my food.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And then he just walks away.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Well, he was nice enough.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Glad to see you're safe. You're starving, man.
- 1:02Speaker 3: He's starving.
- 1:02Speaker 1: What are you going to do? I guess everyone really
- 1:05Speaker 1: is into pickles.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal says pickle-flavored snacks grew 30% in sales
- 1:09Speaker 2: over the last year.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that. I'm not going to lie.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Most of them aren't very good, though. What do you mean?
- 1:15Speaker 3: They're not. I mean, like, some companies have gotten the
- 1:19Speaker 3: pickle flavor down. Trader Joe's pickle chips.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Others have not.
- 1:22Speaker 3: See, I don't feel like Trader Joe's has gotten where
- 1:25Speaker 3: they need to be yet.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Have you had the Siete pickle chips?
- 1:28Speaker 2: A brand called Siete is so damn good, and the
- 1:30Speaker 2: pickle chips are fantastic.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Are they like actual pickles that they've made into chips,
- 1:35Speaker 4: or are they chips with flavored pickle flavor?
- 1:36Speaker 1: They look like normal Lay's potato chips, but they're pickle flavored.
- 1:39Speaker 2: And I feel like that Siete brand, I heard, is healthy,
- 1:43Speaker 2: so I just eat them.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I saw Elf did a pickle-flavored lip gloss, so it's
- 1:47Speaker 4: all over the place.
- 1:48Speaker 1: All right, so get this. A bear wandered into an
- 1:52Speaker 1: arcade in Colorado.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And the article says, despite warnings from policing.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Don't you go in there. Like that's going to stop
- 2:00Speaker 1: the bear.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Don't go in the arcade. He doesn't know what you're saying.
- 2:05Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:07Speaker 2: So someone online is confused because they reported to HR
- 2:11Speaker 2: somebody grooming a younger employee, grooming a younger employee. So
- 2:15Speaker 2: when they got investigated, it turns out that the employee
- 2:18Speaker 2: was talking to another employee about beekeeping.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Beekeeping.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I don't know the story. I don't know what happened.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I don't know why, but the person said they're grooming
- 2:26Speaker 2: them and HR got involved.
- 2:28Speaker 1: They did an investigation. They're like, what's he talking about?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Growing bees. Raising bees, yeah.
- 2:33Speaker 3: There must be a lot of double entendre.
- 2:35Speaker 1: This is a big one.
- 2:36Speaker 2: The share of young adults living with their parents has
- 2:40Speaker 2: jumped about one-third over the last two decades, reaching nearly.
- 2:45Speaker 1: 20% last year. Peyton's one of those.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Two of my kids live in my house right now.
- 2:50Speaker 2: That's kind of a big deal. Japanese people live really
- 2:54Speaker 2: long lives. The birth rate in Japan is relatively low.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So adult diapers outsell baby diapers in Japan.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:02Speaker 3: That's pretty crazy. That's crazy.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Does anybody know when the first selfie was taken?
- 3:08Speaker 3: First selfie? 2006 or something like that, right? No, it's
- 3:11Speaker 3: got to be like, when was the camera invented? 1890. 1890.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The first selfie was taken in 1839. A guy in
- 3:18Speaker 2: Philadelphia named Robert Cornelius took a self-portrait while he was experimenting.
- 3:21Speaker 1: With a new camera.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That would make sense.
- 3:24Speaker 2: And to wrap up my part of Stacks and Hacks,
- 3:27Speaker 2: big article about rock stars and their fake names. And
- 3:31Speaker 2: I was like, whoa, this is interesting. I didn't know this.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Some of these rock stars, like Alice Cooper lives here.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I knew his name was Vincent, right? I don't think
- 3:39Speaker 2: I even knew that.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Vincent Furnier, Billy Idol. His name is William Broad.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Huh.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Bono.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Paul Cusum.
- 3:49Speaker 1: David Bowie.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't know that wasn't his real name.
- 3:52Speaker 1: No, no. David Bowie's real name is David Robert Hayward Jones.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Huh.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Do you know what Eddie Vedder's real name is? No.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Edward Louis Severinsen III. Elton John.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Oh, Reginald Dwight.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Reginald Kenneth Dwight. Do you know what Eric Clapton's name is?
- 4:08Speaker 4: No.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Eric Patrick Clap. Do you know what Freddie Mercury's real
- 4:13Speaker 1: name is?
- 4:14Speaker 3: Oh, it's like Freddie Bressorda, something like that.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Farruka Bulsara. Do you know who Shyam Witts is?
- 4:21Speaker 4: No.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Gene Simmons. John Francis Bongiovi Jr.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Bongiovi.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Do you know who Frank Carlton Serafino Farana Jr.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Is?
- 4:34Speaker 3: Of course, that's Frank Sinatra.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Nikki Sixx.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Oh.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Do you know who Patricia Mae Andrzoski is?
- 4:42Speaker 3: No.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Pat Benatar.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Oh.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Do you know who Richard Louis Springthorpe is?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Bruce Springsteen?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Rick Springfield.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Oh, Rick Springfield. Oh, wow.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Do you know who Richard Starkey is?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Ringo Starr.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you know who Stephen Victor Tallarico is?
- 4:56Speaker 3: Tallarico. Is that Stephen Perry?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Stephen Tyler.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Stephen Tyler.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Do you guys know who Steve Land Hardaway Judkins is?
- 5:03Speaker 4: No.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Steve Harvey.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Stevie Wonder.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Oh.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Do you know who Thomas Lee Bass is?
- 5:08Speaker 3: No.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Tommy Lee. From Motley Crue.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Wild.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I know.
- 5:12Speaker 1: What do you got for life hacks, Rich? Stevie Wonder.
- 5:13Speaker 4: I thought it was just Stevie Wonder all this time.
- 5:15Speaker 4: You guys notice that you're starting to see more spiders around, right?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Not me. I got green mango.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Well, good for you.
- 5:21Speaker 4: But if you don't, and if you're in an apartment,
- 5:22Speaker 4: this works especially great for my apartment people. Spray a
- 5:26Speaker 4: little homemade barrier that we're going to tell you how
- 5:28Speaker 4: to make. Vinegar with a little bit of dish soap.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Spray it around the outside window frames and doorways. That
- 5:34Speaker 4: strong smell helps discourage spiders from hanging around. But here's
- 5:39Speaker 4: the real thing. You've got to seal the tiny cracks
- 5:41Speaker 4: and gaps around your windows and doors, too. So spray
- 5:44Speaker 4: that around, and spiders will not come in. You don't
- 5:47Speaker 4: want those little guys hanging around inside your apartment or
- 5:50Speaker 4: your house. Try that trick, and if you need the
- 5:52Speaker 4: little mix-up for your little water bottle, it's at johnjanrich.com.
