- 0:50And I don't know if you are a fan of Tolkien, but one of the
- 0:53things that Tolkien loves to do is write songs for his
- 0:57characters to sing and this is a Tolkien On a day because this
- 1:02chapter contains the song of Deliverance that God's people
- 1:06sing. So full of joy.
- 1:09And you know what? I was trying to work out, is
- 1:12there something I should be singing and I sang the first two
- 1:14verses and realized. No, no, no, this is not
- 1:16something I should be singing, I should read it.
- 1:19And if you would like to sing it, I would invite you to read
- 1:21along and add a tune in that that that works for you because
- 1:25my tune. What's all over the place?

- 1:30Let us together. Read this.
- 1:32Wonderful chapter, Exodus, chapter 15.
- 1:46Then Moses and the people of Israel sang.
- 1:48This song to the Lord. I will sing to the Lord for he
- 1:54has triumphed gloriously. He has hurled both Horse and
- 1:59Rider into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my
- 2:03song, he has given me Victory. This is my God and I will praise
- 2:10him, my father's God and I will exalt him.
- 2:14The Lord is a warrior. Yahweh is his name Pharaoh's
- 2:19chariots and army. He Is hurled into the sea.
- 2:23The finest of pharaohs offices. Are drowned in the Red Sea
- 2:28though. Deep Waters gushed over them.
- 2:31They sank to the bottom, like a stone, your right hand O, Lord
- 2:36is glorious in power. Your right hand O Lord, smashes
- 2:41the enemy in the greatness of your majesty.
- 2:45You overthrow those who rise against you.
- 2:49You Unleash Your Blazing Fury. Hurry it consumes them like
- 2:53straw at the blast of your breath.
- 2:56The waters, piled up the surging water.
- 2:59Stood straight like a wall in the heart of the Sea, The Deep
- 3:04Waters became hard, the enemy boasted.
- 3:08I will chase them and catch up with them.
- 3:11I will plunder them and consume them.
- 3:14I will flash my sword. My powerful hand, will destroy
- 3:18them. But you blew with your breath
- 3:21and the Sea covered them. They sank like lead in The
- 3:26Mighty Waters who is like you among the gods O Lord glorious
- 3:33in Holiness. Awesome in splendor performing,
- 3:36great wonders. You raised your right hand and
- 3:40the Earth swallowed, our enemies with your unfailing, love you
- 3:45led, the people. You have redeemed in your might
- 3:49you Add them to your sacred home, the people's here and
- 3:54tremble. Anguish grips, those who live in
- 3:57philistia, the leaders of Edom are terrified, the Nobles of
- 4:02Moab tremble, all who live in Canaan, Melt Away Terror and
- 4:07Dread fall, upon them. The power of your arm makes them
- 4:12lifeless as Stone until your people pass by a lord until the
- 4:17people you purchased past. Bye.
- 4:20You will bring them in and plant them on your own Mountain.
- 4:25The place O Lord reserved for your own dwelling, the
- 4:29sanctuary. Oh Lord, that your hands have
- 4:31established. The Lord will reign forever and
- 4:35ever. When Pharaoh's horses chariots
- 4:40and charioteers rushed into the sea, the Lord brought the water
- 4:44crashing down on them, but the people of Israel had walked
- 4:48through the middle of the sea on dry ground.
- 4:52Then Miriam the prophet. Aaron sister took a tambourine
- 4:57and led all the women as they play their tambourines and
- 5:00danced and Miriam sang this song.
- 5:05Sing to the Lord for he has triumphed gloriously.
- 5:09He has hurled both Horse and Rider into the sea.
- 5:16Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea.
- 5:20And I moved out into the desert of shore.
- 5:23They traveled in this desert for three days without finding
- 5:27water. When they came to the Oasis of
- 5:30Mara. The water was too bitter to
- 5:32drink, so, they called the place Maura, which means bitter.
- 5:39Then the people complained and turned against Moses.
- 5:42What are we going to drink? They demanded.
- 5:45So Moses, cried out to the Lord for help and the Lord showed
- 5:49him. A piece of wood.
- 5:50Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water.
- 5:54Good to drink. It was there at Mara that the
- 5:57Lord set. Before them the following decree
- 6:00as a standard to test their faithfulness to him.
- 6:03He said, if you will listen carefully to the voice of the
- 6:08Add your God and do what is right in his sight obeying his
- 6:13commands and keeping all his decrees.
- 6:16Then I will not make you suffer any of the disasters.
- 6:20I sent on the Egyptians for, I am the Lord who heals you?
- 6:26After leaving Maura the Israelites traveled on to the
- 6:29Oasis of Elam, where they found twelve Springs and seventy palm
- 6:34trees. They camped there beside the
- 6:37water. Jesus move in our hearts move in
- 6:51our hearts that we would be left with no option, but to sing to
- 6:56you that our hearts would burst open with the Gratitude and the
- 7:01love that we have for you, and that we would be moved to song
- 7:06or whatever. Whatever being moved to song,
- 7:08looks like for each of us. Lord just take away that veil of
- 7:13complacency that veil of familiarity.
- 7:16That takes the edge off the Gratitude and the incredibleness
- 7:22of everything you are to us. Give us a fresh appreciation for
- 7:28you and your presence in our lives because we had just love
- 7:32you. And we are blown away by all
- 7:36that you are to us. Thank you for being a loving.
- 7:40Father, we just worship you out. Awesome.
- 7:45God. And it's in Jesus name that we
- 7:48pray. All these things are men.
